SPEAKER 12 :
This is Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 16 :
You are going to shut your damn yapper and listen for a change because I got you pegged, sweetheart. You want to take the easy way out because you’re scared. And you’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only you to blame. Let me break this down for you. Life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes.
SPEAKER 15 :
With your host, John Rush.
SPEAKER 16 :
My advice to you is to do what your parents did.
SPEAKER 10 :
Get a job, sir. You haven’t made everybody equal. You’ve made them the same, and there’s a big difference.
SPEAKER 09 :
Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
SPEAKER 11 :
Are you crazy? Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?
SPEAKER 12 :
It’s Rush to Reason with your host, John Rush, presented by Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning.
SPEAKER 14 :
All right, we are back, and it is Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560, hour number two. A reminder, we’ve made a little bit of a lineup change in our schedule, and tonight, normally you would hear the roundtable at six. We’re actually going to play the first hour. every day now throughout the week. So you get to hear health and wellness again. If you missed that during this last hour or missed any part of that, you’ll be able to catch that again between 6 and 7 p.m. tonight. Roundtable, you’ll still hear plenty of times through the week. Tomorrow from 2 to 3. Saturday morning, 7.30 to 8.30. Plays again on Sunday. So trust me, you’ll still get to hear the roundtable a lot. And it’s podcasted, so you can always go listen to it any time you want to. That’s kind of the idea of doing the National Crawford Roundtable. All right. Richard Battle joining us now. Richard, welcome.
SPEAKER 03 :
Good afternoon, John. Thanks for having us back with you.
SPEAKER 14 :
Five leadership secrets of old McDonald.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, and how this happened is what’s so amazing, because I was dead asleep one night and all of a sudden this knowledge hit me. And I had to get up and write it down because I knew if I didn’t, I would forget it. But it’s a secret from this song that everybody’s sung since they were a kid that’s been around since the 1720s. And I was given the inspiration of what the leadership secrets were, which are in the E-I-E-I-O.
SPEAKER 14 :
And for those of you, I mean, sure, you all know the song, but, you know, Old MacDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O, and it goes on. And, again, all of us, I mean, I think kids today, Richard, as far as I know, I think kids are still singing it. I don’t know that for positive, but I believe they are.
SPEAKER 03 :
On my unscientific surveys, yes.
SPEAKER 14 :
Okay. All right. So talk to us about the leadership lessons hidden in the E-I-E-I-O.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I think this is so good. For the first E is example. And Albert Schweitzer said example is not the main thing in influencing others. It’s the only thing. And so old McDonald was an example for his team. He was honest. He worked hard. He was a team player. That set the predicate and the basis for all of his other leadership was leading by example, which we know is the best way to lead.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah, it’s funny you say that because I had several conversations, you know, I coach businesses and I’ve had several conversations this week right along those lines. In other words, Richard, you know, as leaders in our own businesses, especially as leaders in our own businesses, we definitely lead by example. If we want somebody to do something, we have to be doing the same thing.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes, and I saw a thing today that an example is twice as good as an advice, if you will.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah, if you don’t back it up with example, the advice doesn’t do much.
SPEAKER 03 :
No, not at all. And if you do it, then other people don’t have an excuse not to do it, especially the higher up you are on the team, because one of my infuriating things was having people at work for me that would say they were too big to do certain small jobs, and the leadership example of that was very negative.
SPEAKER 14 :
Okay, so talk to us even more about McDonald’s example and the three ways for us to see.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, he’s honest, he’s a team player, and he worked hard. And so those are three basic things that you want in an employee. I guarantee you, if you have those three characteristics, you’re going to get most of the jobs you go after.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yep, you know what, I cannot argue that at all. All right, the first I. Instruction.
SPEAKER 03 :
And so that’s where the leader has to have a vision. And the best instruction is that which uses the least amount of words for work. We used to have an expression when I was early in business, why say boo-boo when boo will do. And too often we get people that try to spend too many words to tell us things, and sometimes it’s confusing sometimes. So good communications. We need to tell people why we’re going to do something before we tell them how. They’ll buy in much better. And then once they understand the why and what the benefits are to the organization and themselves, then we can give them how-to techniques to accomplish the mission.
SPEAKER 14 :
Along that same line of instruction, you’ve got in my notes here, too, that as a leader, he was responsible for planning and administrating, I should say, transformative lessons for his team. And that’s a lesson, or I should say that’s a point that I think every leader can take heart in.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, yes, and that’s something the better the leader does in that role and then communicates and trains with it, the better the organization will be.
SPEAKER 14 :
Talk to us about vision.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I think it’s important for people to know what the leader’s vision is. Where is the leader taking me? Just imagine a life raft after a shipwreck and one person’s in charge. The first thing everybody wants to know is, well, where are we going? Which direction are we going and how are we going to get there? Where are we going? If we don’t tell people that, then people will never know if we’re getting there or not. They know the leader won’t know if they’re getting there or not. So how can you reward the team or discipline or train the team further? So that is the most important thing is to know where we’re going so we know what our mission is and start the plan to get there.
SPEAKER 14 :
Let’s stop you for a moment there because this is a question more than anything. And why do you feel that some leaders, not all, but some leaders struggle with relaying that vision? In other words, they know where they’re going, but for some odd reason, they’ve not relayed it properly. What do you think that is?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, and that was a different question than I anticipated because I anticipated you asking about some leaders don’t say a vision because the people above them in the organization have not given them the vision from even higher up, which is a problem also.
SPEAKER 14 :
Good point.
SPEAKER 03 :
And so to me, that is so crucial. Everyone from the top down should have a vision, and the visions from below should complement and contribute to the vision above.
SPEAKER 14 :
And my thought on why some don’t share it, Richard, personally, is I think some feel like if I share this and no one likes it, well, now they’re shooting it down and I’m back to square one. Rarely does that happen, by the way. And if a leader is afraid that his vision will get shot down, maybe it’s not good vision.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, yes. And I mean, that comes from an insecurity type standpoint, I think, also. And it’s a weakness. I would want people to know that here’s where I want to take you. I need your help to get there. If you help me, we all win. The organization wins. If we win, everybody’s going to share in the rewards and the gains. So it’s up to all of us to work together. All right, the second E. All it takes is one person not working together as a team to take the whole team down.
SPEAKER 14 :
Gotcha. Second E.
SPEAKER 03 :
Encourager, as we’ve talked about so many times, encouraging people, it’s fuel to the receiver, and it’s a gift that the giver gives. And as I tell people, you’ll never pull a muscle encouraging anyone. There are no calories that should be in Health and Wellness Wednesday, no calories in a word of encouragement, and there’s no cost to it. But yet it is fuel to people, and it will give them confidence to go forward further than they would without it. But it’s very important that we listen to people because they will tell us the areas that they need encouragement in. And if we don’t, then we just give general attaboys, and those are inauthentic at best.
SPEAKER 14 :
And that’s another area where I think some leaders struggle with encouragement. And again, I go back to the example a moment ago where they’re afraid or they’re fearful of the outcome of said individual that they’re encouraging. And what I mean by that is, you know, if they don’t believe fully in the vision, A, they don’t want to share it. Second of all, if they don’t believe enough in the vision, they’re liable to not encourage anybody along the way because, again, they’re worried, they’re insecure, as you said a moment ago. And I frankly think that’s why a lot of leaders don’t encourage like they should.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I agree with you, and that’s something for management up the chain to be able to watch and observe. If you see a leader that’s not exercising those tactics, then they need to either be trained or replaced because if you allow them not to lead properly, then that area will not contribute as needed to the success of the team. Second I. Inspiration. This is so important. People will work harder when they’re inspired. And Walt Disney said it, all our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them. And so old McDonald’s told stories about how other people succeeded. He told stories about how they overcame adversities to succeed and how they seized opportunity and succeeded. And people respond to stories much more than they do just being told to do something. And so when you relate to them, someone else. success that’s that’s it my sales managers when i was a young sales rep what they would do is pit sales reps against each other somebody would have a success they’d celebrate it and then then try to tell you how come you’re not doing that right to get you motivated to go further as well although i like positive motivation better all right finally the o optimism That’s so important. And I picked out Helen Keller for the example on this. And here she was a normal child, got sick, lost her vision and her hearing. But yet she succeeded, earned college degrees, traveled the world, spoke, inspired people. And she said, optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence. And that’s so important. And leaders putting hope and confidence into their people will help them succeed better individually and as the team. So she had a positive attitude, a sense of humor, and she enjoyed life daily. She wasn’t a negative person.
SPEAKER 14 :
Amazing. Absolutely amazing. All right, talk to us about your website, what folks can look at as we head down this holiday stretch. People be looking at, you know, things to buy for others, gifts and so on, and you’ve got a plethora of.
SPEAKER 03 :

SPEAKER 14 :
As always, Richard, it’s a joy having you. We appreciate it very much. We’re off next week for Thanksgiving, so I won’t talk to you, but have a great Thanksgiving, sir.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, you too. We wish the audience happy Thanksgiving as well, and God bless America.
SPEAKER 14 :
Richard, as always, God bless you as well. Appreciate you very much. Have a great night. Golden Eagle Financial coming up next. Al did a great interview of late. Don’t forget Al’s on his own program from 2 to 2.30 right here at KLZ, but find Al at klzradio.com.
SPEAKER 08 :
This is TJ with KLZ Radio here with Golden Eagle Financial and Al Smith once again. Al, how are you today? I’m great, TJ. How are you? I am doing well. I was just thinking today, Al, how do people find happiness in their retirement? You must have some pretty neat stories about the way that people have gone into retirement. What are some of those?
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, I do. We can’t squeeze them into this short time, but one of the things I have found is that people who find their purpose in retirement experience a much more fulfilling and happy retirement, a way to give back. It might be volunteering. It might be going on mission trips. It might be tutoring children, things of that nature.
SPEAKER 08 :
What are some ways that people can prepare for that, Al? How do people get ready for that retirement when they’re earlier on before they approach that?
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, I think what people need to do is think in terms of what they really enjoy doing. A gentleman I had on my show a week or so ago has been heavily involved in Gideon’s International, where he gives away Bibles to not only hotels, which is what they’re thought of, but also to high school students and so forth. So by getting involved in these things before retirement, it is a smooth transition then going into retirement. because then you can devote more time to what it is you love.
SPEAKER 08 :
So cool the way that you help folks get to that point, Alan. And if somebody’s here right now and they want to figure out what they want to do in retirement, how do they get in touch with you?
SPEAKER 11 :
You can reach me at 303-744-1128. Or if you’re in the car, contact KLZ and they will get in touch with me and we’ll sit down and have a conversation.
SPEAKER 08 :
Excellent. As always, you can find Al Smith of Golden Eagle Financial on klzradio.com slash money. Al, thanks for joining us today.
SPEAKER 11 :
You’re welcome, TJ. Thanks for having me.
SPEAKER 15 :
Putting reason into your afternoon drive, this is John Rush.
SPEAKER 14 :
All right, we are back. Rush to Reason, Debra’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Saw several posts on this particular, I guess you could say, event that people saw last night, and people were just wondering, you know, what was going on, and was it a bunch of UFOs, and this, that, and the other, because there were some, a line of lights. They were spotted in the sky last night across Colorado. And again, I saw different postings from different parts of the metro area last night on this. And people were, you know, well, it’s just mysterious and what’s going on and this, that and the other. And, you know, every conspiracy theorist out there starts, you know, running down the path of utter nonsense, as it turned out. These were actually Starlink satellites, and yes, they were all lined up, and that’s what people were actually seeing. And it was pretty cool, by the way. I didn’t see it personally, but I did see the pictures of, and it was really cool to actually see how they are lined up and what they’re doing and so on. But yeah, that is the Starlink system. SpaceX launched those back in – first launched back in 19 – or sorry, 2019 – And I think they just continue to keep putting him up and up and up. Elon’s plan is literally there’s no secrets here. His plan is for someday you not to rely on cell towers. That’s his goal to end up not only having Internet access everywhere with Starlink, but then add a cellular, quote unquote, network into the midst to where you would no longer need AT&T, Verizon and all of that, which that’s interesting to see how that works. will all work out because those other companies are still pouring lots of money into expanding their 5G network and so on. So it’ll be interesting to actually see how all that works out. But as I was starting off by saying, the amount of utter nonsense that I was reading on some of the social media posts today about the lights in the sky last night across Colorado, I mean, you would have thought it was a second coming. Literally. Or our aliens were now showing up on planet Earth. I mean, I saw so many stupid posts along those lines. And again, I don’t know people individually that post. I don’t know what their belief system is. I don’t know what side of the political aisle they come from. Don’t care. I just, we live in a day and age, and I know I talk about this a lot. We talk about it some on the roundtable even, which I mentioned earlier. And at the end of the day, I think people will believe in almost anything. It’s gotten to the point where literally there is just so much nonsense out there. And I get it. Some things turn out to be true. OK, I get that. They do. And I understand that, although by and large, most aren’t. Most conspiracies don’t pan out. Oh, and Charlie, thank you very much for saying that. AI videos, oh my word, they are everywhere. I had somebody call in to one of the programs. I get so many calls, I don’t remember exactly what they are, but somebody was talking about some of the collisions that you can see on certain vehicles and how could anybody survive said crash in said vehicle. Those aren’t real videos, folks. There’s not a one of those where you see the Bronco hitting the semi and then crumpling all up and then they’ll do vehicle after vehicle after vehicle. Not defending the Ford Bronco, but at the end of the day, that’s not what happened. Those aren’t real videos. In AI, as much as it can predict certain things, it doesn’t have the foggiest idea what that Bronco is going to look like in that particular accident. No idea. But yet there’s videos out there where people believe that to be true. I didn’t mention this yesterday. I was going to, but I think I did briefly on Monday. But there was a country song recently that went to number one or maybe not number one, but top of the charts. Think like top ten. And it’s an AI song. And some of you are thinking, a what? It’s an AI song. In other words, somebody, I don’t know who, basically created or asked AI to create said song, put music to it, and so on, and it’s become popular enough that it’s in the top. And that voice is created by AI. Yeah, thank you. All of it’s created AI, 100%. The person in it, it’s a video. I think it’s a music video, too. Isn’t there a music video that goes with it, Charlie, I think I saw? Yeah, none of it exists. None of it’s true. Yeah, it’s all AI. It’s all fake, I guess you could say. I mean, fake’s not the right word. It is a real song. It is a voice singing. But it’s not a real person. It’s all computer generated. Let’s say it that way. So you’re going to see more and more of those. And my point with this is, be careful. Be careful what you share. You know, what’s really going on there? Is it real or is it, you know, it’s the old commercial, is it real? Is it Memorex? Well, now we’re going to have to say, is it real or is it AI? That’s going to have to be the new phrase that’s asked when you see something. Is it real or is it AI? And, you know, that used to be Memorex’s big thing is, you know, they would play the cassette tape and, you know, you’d have a hard time determining. Didn’t they break a glass or something, Charlie, with an opera singer or something back in the day? And is it real or is it Memorex? Well, now is it real or is it AI? And it’s becoming so real looking that it really does get tough to tell. But kind of here’s a here’s a little tip. If it’s perfect and or if it sounds too good to be true, it’s probably AI. Because guess what? We’re humans. We make mistakes. Even people that sing in bands and so on, there’s mistakes. You might not be able to pick them up immediately, but there’s typically a mistake there. AI, it’s pretty mistake-free. Even a lot of the videos and stuff that you see, it’s pretty darn good. In fact, it’s so good that you can tell it’s fake. It’s like, yeah, that’s not a real person. That’s not a real ocean. That person climbing on the boat that capsized, yeah, that’s not really real. I mean, there’s so much of that out there now, and some of it’s really funny, by the way, but some of it is disturbing in a way because it’s like it looks really real. It’s really hard to tell that it’s not real. And there’s times with me where it’s like, okay, wait a minute, I’ve got to watch that again. Is that real or is it not? No, that’s fake because it just can’t be true. And I mean, everything from, you know, monkeys playing the drums to you name it, you know, AI can do pretty much anything. And you can even make AI do some of these things. And it’s a lot of fun. But at the end of the day, it’s just not real. And again, it really is hard at times to pick out what’s real versus what isn’t. And I’m not saying it’s easy because it’s not. But here’s my suggestion. If you don’t know it’s real, don’t share it on your social media. Twitter or X, I guess I should say, whatever else people use, Facebook, Instagram, on down the line we go. If it’s not real or you don’t know it’s real, don’t share it. Because I’ve had things shared with me where I actually send it back to the person and say, yeah, that’s not real. In fact, just one little bit of a search on that, you can determine that that’s not real. That’s AI. And by the way, that could be politicians talking. It could be all kinds of things. Because AI can make anything look fairly real, and how it does it, it’s just all computer-generated stuff. So it’s really difficult to tell sometimes, but be very careful with that. Back to these lights that appeared last night in the sky. Yeah, that was just a simple explanation was, that was Starlink. putting up satellites or satellites that were already there. I don’t know if they’re putting up fresh ones or if they just happen to be at the right place, right time where everybody could see them. But yeah, there wasn’t anything nefarious there. No UFOs, nothing along those lines. You guys already know my feelings on UFOs. Anyways, I won’t get into that detail. Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning is coming up next. SPEAKER 15 :
Now back to Rush to Reason on KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 14 :
All right, we are back. Rush to Reason, Debra’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Sunny Kutcher should be joining us here momentarily. I verified with her that she’s available today. We’ve got several things that we can talk about. One other thing that I was going to mention, especially as we head down this stretch into Thanksgiving, might be able to spend a little more time on this tomorrow than I was able to spend today, and that is go look up the Mayflower Compact. Part of the Thanksgiving tradition, by the way, Bob Duco will talk about that here in some of his upcoming commentary because we were talking about that the other day. But reality is those people sacrificed everything. And the Compact was really kind of their original Declaration of Independence, I guess you could say, how they wanted to structure things. And a lot of what we have done today, even our founding fathers came from that particular document. So it’s a great document to actually read if you really want to, which you should. And I think it’s really important, especially as we approach Thanksgiving and the fact it’s coming up in just a week, to really understand what did that first Thanksgiving consist of? What were they really thankful for? Keep in mind, these are people that their numbers were dwindling. They came over with, I don’t have the numbers in front of me, with X amount of people, and they were darn near half of that at Thanksgiving. you know, illnesses and, you know, death and so on, death by those illnesses, and their numbers just continued to drop. They made huge sacrifices coming here. And I think the other thing that we have this misconception of is that, you know, the Mayflower was this huge, gigantic ship. In comparison to today’s large ships that we have, yeah, not so much. There are folks like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos and so on that have bigger yachts than the Mayflower, and I’m not exaggerating when I say that. would dwarf the Mayflower, and these people sailed. Remember, they didn’t have any engines at that point in time. They sailed from England to here on an old rickety ship, basically. I mean, it really is a miracle that they even made it here, and then once they got here, had to survive. you know, the winter and so on, and it’s just amazing. And then the things that they were celebrating at that time and really giving thanks to Almighty God for their ability to actually be there, and that’s what Thanksgiving was all about. Yes, we’ve commercialized it. It’s now more about what can we watch on TV for football and what’s happening the next day for Black Friday and, and, and. These particular individuals, they were just thankful they were alive, and they had food on the table. because they were at a time when they didn’t have a plethora of. They didn’t have King Soopers in Costco or Safeway in Sam’s Club. We know what they went through back then to actually find food, and either you grew your own or you went out and killed your own because at the end of the day there wasn’t a supermarket around. We tend to forget that. We have this kind of pie-in-the-sky mentality you know thinking that oh that stuff’s always been around no in fact it hasn’t always been around so again as you think about thanksgiving and even the day of the celebration of be thinking of what i just talked about and you know the mayflower compact as well sunny kutcher coming up next young americans against socialism how are you i’m doing well good to be with you likewise likewise all right we got several things to talk about where do you want to start
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, I think the Supreme Court decision is pretty important, and I think it’s impactful for this time.
SPEAKER 14 :
I agree, and I have not mentioned this at all yet today, so give us the rundown.
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, just, you know, concisely, in a very thin 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court has authorized President Trump to continue his you know, to maintain those executive orders with wartime authority under the 1798 Alien Enemies Act. So the executive orders that had been signed under that act, you know, giving way for the ability to deport a lot of these illegal immigrants, Trendyaragua members, et cetera, cartel members, by designating those groups as foreign terrorist organizations. And it’s a big win because that gives President Trump the authority. And it also maintains that this is within constitutional right of the president.
SPEAKER 14 :
Again, I think you’re right. This is a very sweeping decision, whatever you want to say, 5-4, narrow, of course. It’ll be interesting to see what happens on tariffs and some of that, and maybe this is a little bit of hope in that direction. But there’s been a lot of criticism thrown at President Trump for actually doing some of the things that he’s done with quote-unquote cartels, although, Sonny, I have asked for years and years and years, why haven’t we been doing this before now?
SPEAKER 04 :
as far as using the Alien Enemies Act.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah, that and just rounding up some of these bad guys and getting rid of them. And then even on top of that, what Trump is doing to defend and defeat some of the cartels and the drug boats that are coming in and so on. I mean, the reality is we should have been doing some of this stuff years ago.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, absolutely. I mean, I wish, but I just think that this is, you know, the underbelly of the world where this is a huge profit industry. You know, I think that the cartels have been have been working with obviously they were working with the Biden administration. I think when you talk about like so many different, you know, I’ve been thinking about this a lot recently when you talk about like For example, like the cannabis industry where it was like all illegalized and everything. And now that they made that legal, it’s like, OK, well, now that cartel will just sell fentanyl. You know, they they always will find a way to circumvent whatever the trend is, whatever the thing that’s going through is they will find a way because this is what dark. twisted people evil do who are greedy and only want to line their pockets and think about the children that were trafficked the trafficking that happened the money that is in trafficking and drugs and the cartels the smuggling and the what’s it called the coyotes and all of these things that unfortunately we are seeing that like you are saying why have they not been doing this before well because I think a lot of people are involved and they’re all making money yeah
SPEAKER 14 :
No, it’s a money thing. You’re right. That’s where it all comes down to. And unfortunately, some of that, I think, gets funneled back into other individuals that look the other way.
SPEAKER 04 :
Definitely. Absolutely. And we are so blessed to have a president that cares so much about, you know, specifically the children that went missing. I don’t know if you saw that was another thing that I, you know, had seen that I can bring up is just those hundreds of thousands of children that are missing. And I think that there was… this report that came out that said 65,000 children called into this hotline that the Biden administration had created, and not a single person responded. I had not seen that.
SPEAKER 14 :
I did not know that at all.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, I could try to find it on X and send it to you to share, but I mean, just so devastating and heartbreaking. Truly, I do think that there is a spiritual awakening and a spiritual revival happening because people are seeing the darkness and I believe that’s what’s happening with the Epstein trials. I believe that’s what’s happening with our school system. All of these things are being revealed. The darkness is being brought to light. And thankfully, we are in a situation where, you know, we don’t win them all. We don’t win all of the battles. But to have the Supreme Court allow this to happen just is truly a win for morality because we must have borders. I’m so sick and tired of, you know, after my Fox News segment, a couple of people came out and wanted to kind of refute my argument about the fact that kids are being indoctrinated in schools into this Marxist ideology. All of the ideology that actually fuels these policies that allows these people to be in power that then do the darkest and most devilish evil things. And so people are not really seeing those connections, and then they’re saying, well, that’s not a logical A to B to C. And it’s like, well, it’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Go watch this.
SPEAKER 14 :
And actually, there is a link and a progression there. I mean, I guess in my opinion, and you fight your own battles, I don’t have to fight them for you, but these are individuals that have their head buried in the sand. They are not looking at things correctly at all.
SPEAKER 04 :
I couldn’t agree more. I couldn’t agree more for various reasons. Because one of them being that, you know, just because someone doesn’t say, well, we’re teaching Marxist ideology doesn’t mean that it’s not Marxist ideology. Doesn’t mean that it allows people to be on the left where they do. Oh, they do just just so happen to align with progressive policies. You know, this person was saying, well, they, you know. overwhelmingly young people support housing reform, climate action, abortion, reproductive rights. And I’m like, yeah, exactly. You’re proving the point. That’s right. Literally just proved my point. That’s exactly right. No, climate action is all about control. And abortion is all about death and trafficking body parts. And God knows all of the things that come out of that. And and putting women back into the workforce and taxing them more and taking away people’s freedoms, killing babies also. I mean, just that too. It’s just, it’s so crazy what gymnastics people will go through to convince themselves, well, this is just about a policy preference. This is not about policy preference. This is about, of course, good and evil, but when you have to think about it on a binary stance, Republican, Democrat stance, you know, on a human stance, what are we doing here? Who are we putting into power and representing us, quote unquote, and what are they actually doing? And so I, for one, I’m grateful that President Trump, despite his flaws, despite the imperfection, nothing is ever going to be perfect. But he has done so much good for this country, for the next generation, for the next few years, decades, hopefully. And I know that he You know, there have been things that people don’t like, but I’m just really grateful, especially on the immigration stance. And there are so many hoops that they’ve had to go through. So this is a huge, huge win. And I really hope that it ramps up because, of course, now this blockage should be taken away.
SPEAKER 14 :
You used another article about school choice is not enough, the impact of critical social justice ideology in American education. I’ve not had a chance to read through this. I’ve just read a little teeny bit of it, but give us a rundown of what this article from the Manhattan Institute’s about.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, I just found this quickly, and it was a survey from a few years ago, but basically it was talking about how… a survey of young people aged 18 to 20, so these are people obviously recently exiting high school, it says that 93% of them said that they had been taught or had heard from an adult at school or were a teacher somewhat about one or more what they’re calling critical social justice concepts, including white privilege, systemic racism, or the idea that gender is a choice unrelated to biological sex. So there you go. I mean, and this is just like the most basic survey, right? Because this type of data is also very difficult to collect because you have to talk to, of course, a certain group that are just coming out of high school. This is the research that, you know, gas has been doing that we are now seeing, OK, how did all these kids get radicalized? You do see some videos like when you do a quick search on X actually of undercover videos of teachers talking about, yeah, actually, this is Marxism.
SPEAKER 14 :
So earlier, you know, I said… Well, and really quick, I’m going to interrupt you for just… I’m going to interrupt you for one second here, because I’ve shared this before, but this is a great segue into sharing this. I’ve got a couple, some friends that live in Southern California. Great people, by the way. Met them on vacation. I’ve stayed in contact with them ever since, and we go back and forth, and we even send things back and forth, you know, politically speaking, on a regular basis. In fact, got some things from them this morning. And here’s my point. These are public school teachers. who went through the entire California system, retired, very conservative, by the way. And the last time we were with him, I think I’ve shared this with you before, but if not, I’m going to say it again. And for those of you listening, I’m going to say it no matter what. I was with him the last time, just a few months ago. And literally, they both told me, John, because they know what I do. They know that I’m on air and what we do here and so on. And they said, listen, number one, keep saying what you’re saying on air because they listen to some of my shows. Keep saying what you’re saying. You’re spot on. We have to apologize because we were in that system. We had no idea while in the system the things that we were teaching were as Marxist as they were. But now that we’re away from it, it can actually look from the outside in. Everything that we were being fed, that we then fed to the students, was exactly Marxism. Even though we didn’t believe in it and we were solid conservatives, we didn’t see it because we were so ingrained in it. But now that we’re away from it, we can see exactly what was going on and everything you talk about on air is spot on.
SPEAKER 05 :
Mm hmm.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yep. So exactly that from the horse’s mouth.
SPEAKER 04 :
Absolutely. It’s covert. And that is that’s how it is designed. And that’s why we talk about going to do your research of the communist texts where they talk about this, because it’s so deeply integrated into the. Curriculum and the style of, you know, teaching modern day teaching because it came from that school of thought, from the Frankfurt School, from these schools where these thinkers and these people, these communists, these atheists, Marxists, whatever you want to call them, were coming up and basically teaching people how to indoctrinate kids.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yep, that’s exactly right. And again, I’ve got living proof of that from folks that actually were in the system for a very long time, retired from it, and now looking back say, yep, you guys are spot on. You’re right. That’s exactly what’s going on. Keep fighting the good fight because you’re doing it the right way.
SPEAKER 04 :
Absolutely, yeah. It’s just wild. It really is. And we have to keep beating the drum because people don’t get it and they don’t see it. They don’t make the connection.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 04 :
It is deception and lacking critical thinking skills is what makes people vulnerable to deception, which is why, you know, that is such an important thing. And that’s why, you know, we always talk about, you know, teach your kids critical thinking and just have these conversations with your kids. You know, what is the textbook idea of socialism and socialists and communists? But how does it what does it actually look like? You know, how does that actually play out? Because, you know, just quickly, another thing people will say is, oh, well, you know, socialism, communism, Marxism, those are not all the same thing. Well, they really… They progress from one to the other is what it is. Exactly. And it’s not about being interchangeable or not. They all go hand in hand. That’s right.
SPEAKER 14 :
That’s exactly the way to say it. Yeah, they aren’t interchangeable. I understand that. But it’s a progression. By the way, it’s why they’re called progressives, because they know that as well, Sonny.
SPEAKER 04 :
Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. It’s so deceitful. And it’s so it’s baked in. It’s baked in.
SPEAKER 14 :
It is.
SPEAKER 04 :
You know, of course, it’s obvious for us. But that’s why, you know, we have to have compassion and grace for people who are, you know, just unfortunately and maybe even unwittingly falling into these lies. But that’s what makes this so important. And we just like I said, keeping the drum, you know, I’m thankful for what you do. how many people you reach and how many lives you’ve impacted today and over the years. It’s incredible. And I’m grateful. You know, I was on Jesse Waters the other night and it was just such an incredible experience. You know, yeah, just just to do it and just to. to be out there fighting the fight, and hopefully one person saw it and was like, wow, you know, that means something. So I’m grateful for it.
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, and you keep doing it, too. You’re doing a great job, you guys, at Young Americans Against Socialism. One more time, give folks the website where they can go and download great material, not only for their kids, but for themselves as well.
SPEAKER 04 :
Absolutely. It’s yas.org, Y-A-A-S.org, and you can follow us on our socials, YasAmerica.org. on many of our social channels, Twitter and Instagram. But you can go to the website, yes.org, and download those resources, as John mentioned. But you can also support our mission there, learn more about what we do, watch interviews, watch news clips, you know, just get your fill on the learning of what socialism really is, get your core facts down. And that way, you know, you’re Next thing you know, you’re going to be meeting somebody in the wild where you’re going to have a conversation. You’re going to be like, oh, wow, this is super helpful. So like you said, anybody can use this information, but it’s great for kids so that way they can learn those skills and be able to have these conversations.
SPEAKER 14 :
Awesome. Sunny, as always, I appreciate it very much. Keep up the good work.
SPEAKER 04 :
Thanks so much.
SPEAKER 14 :

Michael Bailey, he is our mobile estate planner. We heard from Michael at 3 o’clock today, by the way. Make sure that you get dialed in at the end of the year for your estate plan and other things you may need to do as a family. Get on his docket sooner than later. Go to klzradio.com and do just that.
SPEAKER 08 :
You’ll be so thankful that the mobile estate planner, Michael Bailey, keeps you awake long enough to actually finish your estate plan. That’s because he makes wills, trusts, and powers of attorney almost fun. Yeah, we said almost. Because let’s be honest, talking about what happens after you die is not on your bucket list. But Michael’s sense of humor somehow makes it easier. He’s like that friend who makes an IRS audit sound like it was just no big deal. And most clients leave relieved. And while the DIY guys online make you fill out forms until you go crazy and start googling, what happens when I die without an estate plan? We’ll see you next time.

SPEAKER 14 :
All right, we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. So I noticed an article today coming out of Denver 7. Littleton extends pause on new gas stations as city eyes a cleaner future. Now, that’s what caught my eye. It’s like, okay, I get that cities can plan for certain types of businesses, and when they feel like there might be too many of a certain type, they can put a moratorium or a, you know, we’re not going to have any more of these businesses. Here, and I understand that to a point, although I’m a private property rights guy. You guys all know that. And my feeling is if somebody wants to do something with a piece of property and they want to take the risk of doing whatever it is to develop that out, more power to them. I don’t think cities should stand in the way. Should there be zoning and master plans and so on? To a point, but most cities, if not all, take that to an extreme that shouldn’t exist in my opinion. In other words, they try to plan everything down to the detail, and sometimes it works really well. Generally speaking, it doesn’t. Because cities and the planners in those cities, by the way, and sorry if you’re a planner, but you’re not that smart. You don’t have a crystal ball to look down the road to see exactly how things are going to be. You do your best. I get it. But in some cases, some of you have never even owned a business or ran one or done anything outside of work for the city. That’s my beef, typically, when it comes to these sorts of individuals is they don’t have the foggiest idea what’s going on. Anyways, Littleton, they’re going to continue this moratorium on more gas stations. They extended this for another, like I said, another, I believe it’s another 180 days, so six months. The city, which already has 24 gas stations. Now, keep in mind, Littleton’s not a small city. They have one for roughly every 2,000 residents right now, currently, with the 24 gas stations. So… I don’t know what the ratio is supposed to be, but 2,000 is not a small number. I mean, it’s not 10,000, but I guess the question would be how many other people actually drive through Littleton and buy gas as well? Because remember city planners. Not everybody using a gas station is from Littleton. You have people that go to work there, people that travel through. They may just need to stop and get fuel. You name it. There’s all sorts of reasons for people to stop at gas stations. And just because they, you know, it doesn’t mean that they live there to use it is my point. There’s a lot of gas stations out there where people use them that don’t live there. For example, we have several around the studio here, around the station. I use them from time to time. And I don’t live here. So to use that ratio of one for 2,000, truthfully, folks, that means nothing to me. What major thoroughfare is running through Littleton? For example, Santa Fe, I believe, runs through the east edge of Littleton. And there’s a ton of traffic on Santa Fe, as we all know. It’s a highway, basically. I think it’s Highway 85, am I right? Or is it 285, Charlie? I always get that backwards. I think it’s 85. Don’t quote me. I can’t remember. I’m sorry. Hamden is 285. I think Santa Fe is 85, I believe. And they cross at one point. And some of you will tell me if I’m right or wrong. That’s fine. That’s what you’re here for, and you help me out a lot in that area. Again, at the end of the day, those are also things you have to look at. In other words, what major thoroughfares are running through our town that people would then stop and fuel up and so on? And remember that it’s not the gas necessarily that the city’s making some tax money on, but everything else that’s sold and the sales tax from that is lining their coffers. So if people are stopping and buying things at a gas station in Littleton, Littleton’s making money off of that. They’re making money in other ways as well, property taxes and so on. My point here is this is not the proper role of government. I’m sorry. Some would argue with me that it is. No, it’s not. Let the free market dictate how many gas stations can be there or not be there. And believe me, the big gas station guys especially, they know the market very well. They know how the car count that drives by. They know full well whether they can actually put a gas station in on this corner and or the opposing corner or on all four corners, mind you. In some cases, there are. Meaning they have done a lot of studying to determine can we be successful putting a gas station in here. If they weren’t going to be successful, they wouldn’t put it in. So my feeling with Littleton is stay in your own lane. Pardon the pun, but stay in your own lane. And the reality is this particular council, which is, by the way, very Marxist in its nature, and I’ve talked about other things Littleton has going on in regards to things that it’s doing in the city. Littleton and Lakewood both are sister cities. This is not the proper role of government and or city council, and I’ll just leave it at that. Now back to Rush to Reason on KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 14 :
All right, that’s it for hour number two. Hour three, I’ve got several things to talk about. Scott Garlis will join us. Bent Pine Capital will talk about the wild ride that Wall Street has been here over the past week or so. And amongst other things, we’ll get into with Scott as well. Also going to talk about Denver. And it has one of the, as a city, is one of the sharpest declines in interest of people moving there. I’ll talk about that as soon as we come back. Hour number three is next. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 1 :
Thank you.
SPEAKER 10 :
The Rich Guy.
