HR3 Jersey Joe: UK Global warming sketch from 2013, AI Law 8-7-25 by John Rush
SPEAKER 10 :
This is Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 08 :
You are going to shut your damn yapper and listen for a change because I got you pegged, sweetheart. You want to take the easy way out because you’re scared. And you’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only you to blame. Let me break this down for you. Life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes.
SPEAKER 10 :
With your host, John Rush.
SPEAKER 08 :
My advice to you is to do what your parents did.
SPEAKER 06 :
Get a job, sir. You haven’t made everybody equal. You’ve made them the same, and there’s a big difference.
SPEAKER 03 :
Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
SPEAKER 06 :
Are you crazy? Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s Rush to Reason with your host, John Rush, presented by Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning.
SPEAKER 16 :
Hour number three, Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Jersey Joe joining us now. Joe, what’s up today, sir? John, I’m just fantastic. How are you doing? We’re doing very, very well. A little warm here, but hey, it’s all right. Summer.
SPEAKER 15 :
Hey, it’s a little, it’s summer here, too. Hey, I got a bunch of stuff I want to cover, including I want to start us off with some humor, but first… You have Sonny Cutron about socialism.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 15 :
I’ve got a quote from Frederick Hayek, the late economist, and here’s my quote of the week about socialism. He said, if socialists understood economics, they wouldn’t be socialists. Good point. So anyway, but you ready for a little humor? Very well said, by the way. You ready for a little humor?
SPEAKER 16 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 15 :
Now let me set the stage. I found this. John, the clip you’re about to play is 13. It came out in 2013. It was on BBC. It was a British comedy show, Satire. And the scene is the Prime Minister of Great Britain is at a global conference, a global economic conference, and he’s fussing and fuming and he doesn’t know what to do and the country’s in the toilet and he doesn’t know what he’s going to say. And one of his aides bursts into the room and says, I’ve got it. And this goes back to our conversation about sea level rise and global warming. So that’s the stage. He’s at an international conference and his aide bursts into the room with the solution.
SPEAKER 16 :
Okay. You ready? Here we go.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yep.
SPEAKER 12 :
I have returned with the answer to all your problems. Global warming. I thought you were against it. Everybody’s against it, Prime Minister. I suddenly realised that is the beauty of it. We can get a unanimous agreement with all of our European partners to do something about it.
SPEAKER 14 :
But how can we do something about something that isn’t happening?
SPEAKER 12 :
It’s much easier to solve an imaginary problem than a real one.
SPEAKER 14 :
Do you believe it’s real?
SPEAKER 12 :
Do you? I don’t know. Neither do I. I haven’t got the faintest idea. But it doesn’t matter what we think. If everyone else thinks it’s real, they’ll all want to stop it, so long as it doesn’t cost too much. So the question now is, what are we going to do about it? But if it isn’t happening, what can we do about it? Oh, there’s so much we can do, Prime Minister. We can impose taxes, we can stiffen European rules about carbon emissions, rubbish disposal, we can make massive investments in… In wind turbines? We can, in fact, Prime Minister, under your leadership, agree to save the world. Well, I like that.
SPEAKER 11 :
But Russia, India, China, Brazil, they’ll never cooperate.
SPEAKER 12 :
They don’t have to. We simply ask them to review their emissions policy. And will they? Yes. And then they’ll decide not to change it. So we’ll set up a series of international conferences. Meanwhile… You can talk about the future of the planet. You can look statesmanlike, and it’ll be 50 years before anybody can possibly prove you’re wrong.
SPEAKER 11 :
And you can explain away anything you said before by saying the computer models were flawed. The voters will love me. You’ll have more government expenditure.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yes. How will we pay for it? We’re broke. We impose a special global warming tax on fuel now, but we phase in the actual expenditure gradually. say over 50 years that will get us out of the hole now the germans will be pleased they have a big green movement and we can even get the frogs on board as long as they get more benefits than everyone else my broadcasters on sunday morning you have a day to get the conference to agree there’s not a problem that delegates will be desperate for something to announce when they get home there is one problem nothing will have actually been achieved it will sound as though it has So people will think it has. That’s all that matters.
SPEAKER 15 :
Now, John, how spot on. That’s pretty close. And how prophetic was that comedy sketch?
SPEAKER 16 :
That’s pretty good. Really quick, somebody give us a traffic update. Northbound Sheridan is closed between 12th and Colfax. So if you guys are in that area driving around, avoid that. Take another route, detour, or whatever. But, Joe, back to that. Yeah, that is spot on. I mean, that is it in a nutshell.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, I mean, John, I couldn’t have summed it. And that was supposed to be satire. Now, that was from 2013. But, John, every single thing they covered is 100% true. I mean, I thought that was something when I first saw it. I said, well, did they do this, you know, a month ago? No, that was 12 years ago. Oh, and John, that is the exact diagram of what’s happening.
SPEAKER 16 :
That’s exactly what’s happening. And, you know, you and I talked about that last Thursday in regards to sea level rising. And then, of course, we got off on, you know, chemtrails and all of that. But, you know, reality, Joe, is how should I say this? Both sides have their things they latch on to that they just believe are true no matter what. The left has global warming and our side has a bunch of things mixed together. I hate to say that, but they do.
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, on the left, though, it’s the worship, John. It’s the Church of the Climate Change. It really is. By the way, when I do my podcast, I don’t talk about stuff that you hear in the news. I call it news in perspective you won’t hear on TV. And I try not to cover stuff that you will hear on TV unless you’ve only heard one size.
SPEAKER 16 :
By the way, let me talk about this.
SPEAKER 15 :
Going back to the Cincinnati where that white guy got pummeled and the white woman died. The police chief finally gave a press conference, and I was appalled, and you probably didn’t hear this, but in her press conference, she characterized the incident, and she used these two words at different points. At one point, she called it a fight, and later on, she referred to it as a brawl. Now, John, I know about your dictionary.
SPEAKER 16 :
It’s a one-sided brawl, Joe.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, where I grew up, a fight was two or more people punching each other, and a brawl is multiple people punching. punching and kicking at each other, that never looked like any fight or brawl that I ever saw in my entire life.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, this was not that. And, Joe, anybody looking at that with any kind of open eyes whatsoever would know, first off, she’s flat-out lying. I mean, brawl? Brawl? How? I mean, to your point, a brawl is usually somebody on the other side returning whatever punches and things that they are getting. That didn’t happen in either one of the individuals that were literally, I mean, I still can’t believe the white guy was tough enough to stand up at the end of that. The lady, of course, did not.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, she was unconscious. But, you know, to me, a fight is two people going at it and a brawl is multiple people, two or three people on each side going at it. And neither of those descriptions fit what happened. But, John, I guarantee you that nobody here heard her describe that as a fight or a brawl. So that’s the type of thing I like to point out. Let’s move on to some more humor. There was a group out of Ireland. You’ve always heard the left. They like to cite peer-reviewed studies, right? And that gives credence to some of the ridiculous claims they make. Well, there was a group out of Ireland, John. And they set out as an experiment to see how difficult it was to have a study peer-reviewed. So what they actually did is they set out, they created complete fabrications. They came up with 20 completely fabricated stories that never happened. I mean, one was that they published one study they called the rape culture in dog parks about male dogs supposedly raping female dogs, and they claim to examine the genitals of 10,000 dogs. John, if I said you’ve got six months to go examine the genitals of 10,000 dogs, could you find 10,000 dogs to look at in the next six months? No. I mean, they intentionally made it so ridiculous, and yet all of these studies got published and praised, and they were feature articles that And so, and what they did, by the way, they would look at the organization that they wanted to have published a study, and they intentionally used the organization’s favorite keywords in their studies. And the organization lapped it up, and they published it, you know, peer-reviewed, you know, great study. So when somebody says, well, this is based on a peer-reviewed study, you need to take that with a huge grain of salt, because any moron can fabricate a story and have it published in a respected journal.
SPEAKER 16 :
Very good point.
SPEAKER 15 :
All right. One more thing I want to talk about. Hey, people, you know, a lot of people on the left say, we need hate crime laws. John, the last thing everyone, now, We have a remedy. If I libel you, John, you have a civil remedy. You can sue me. You can get a judgment against me.
SPEAKER 16 :
And really quick, for those listening, that’s if I can prove, Joe, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that what you did—not a shadow of a doubt because it’s a civil case—but if I can prove that you somehow— harm me in such a way that there’s detrimental harm, monetary harm, something along those lines. You know, it’s my reputation, something like that. But if you just say something that I think has somehow harmed me, but there’s no proof that it in any way or shape or form affected me, good luck.
SPEAKER 15 :
And another thing, John, if you are a bigot, a racist, an anti-Semite, I want to know who you are. I want, you know, I don’t want to muzzle you. I want to know, you know, who is that person?
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, because I want to know who to stay away from.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, I want to know who you are. I want you to, if you want to stand at a round table and shout, I hate Jewish people, I hate black people, I hate Mexican-American people, John, I want to know who the hell you are. I agree. And if you say something that damages me, I have a civil remedy. I can sue you, and if what you’ve said is untrue and damages me, is malicious, I can get a judgment. And by the way, it’s only a preponderance in a In a civil trial, it’s not unanimous. It’s just more than 50% or more.
SPEAKER 16 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 15 :
But I want to play, there’s a really short 20-second clip, and this comes to us from the UK. And let me set the stage. This guy, all he did was post on Facebook. He was ranting and raving. Now, of course, you know, the UK has had a tremendous influx of people from Muslim countries. Right. And they’ve had an epidemic of Muslim immigrants, you know, raping young girls. And it’s, you know, and so he simply posted, I’m fed up with, them raping our children, and by the way, they also get first, they get priority for housing, for government-funded housing. And all he did was say, I’m angry that these immigrants are raping our children and then getting priority for government housing. That’s all he said. It was a true statement. Can you play what the judge sentenced him to? Here we go.
SPEAKER 14 :
your money going to immigrants who, quote, rape our kids and get priority, end quote. This offence is so serious that an immediate custodial sentence is unavoidable. Would you stand, please? The sentence that I pass has been reduced by one third to reflect your guilty plea. The 20 months.
SPEAKER 16 :
20 months.
SPEAKER 15 :
It would have been 30 months except he pled guilty to the charge.
SPEAKER 16 :
So he got 10 less months for being honest.
SPEAKER 15 :
For being honest.
SPEAKER 16 :
Unreal.
SPEAKER 15 :
How scary is that, John? That’s why I never want to see a hate speech law in this country.
SPEAKER 16 :
No, that’s why we have the First Amendment.
SPEAKER 15 :
That’s why we have the First Amendment. And for those people who say, well, we need to amend it, we need to abolish it. No, no, no. We need the First Amendment.
SPEAKER 16 :
It needs to stay exactly like it is. It doesn’t need changed at all.
SPEAKER 15 :
And there’s another woman, I didn’t send you the clip, but in Brazil, they have a transgender woman, meaning a man who ran as a woman, got elected to some high government office. And all she said, the person who got the most votes, the woman who got the most votes is a man. Well, they brought charges against her. Are you ready for this? She’s facing a possible sentence of 25 years. Wow. For that, no. You know what the maximum sentence you can get for violent rape in Brazil is?
SPEAKER 16 :
Probably less than that.
SPEAKER 15 :
12 years.
SPEAKER 16 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 15 :
So for correctly saying the woman who got the most votes in the election was a man, she’s facing a prison sentence of 25 years. Yep. But if you are somebody who committed a violent rape, the most you could get is 12. Yep. How scary is that when it comes to freedom of speech?
SPEAKER 16 :
Maybe there’s a tie in here. Maybe there isn’t, Joe. But when I think about what’s happening in regards to tariffs and things along those lines, which that’s a deep subject we could go for the rest of the hour talking about it. There’s some strong opinions. Even my son and I don’t always agree on tariffs. tariffs and all of that. But Joe, here’s my feeling on tariffs. We have been getting literally annihilated by some of these countries in regards to tariffs. In other words, what we tariff them coming in versus what our goods going there are. And yet these are the type of countries that we’re struggling with and that people are accusing us of doing things the wrong way and we should just let things stand. We shouldn’t make any changes. We ought to go ahead and just let the tariffs or what used to be there be there. And some of these very countries we’re just playing clips from and you’re giving examples from are some of those countries. In other words, I don’t know why we didn’t do some of this stuff on the tariffs long ago and hopefully even correct some of what we’re talking about.
SPEAKER 15 :
100% correct. You’re spot on.
SPEAKER 16 :
In other words, we’re giving them money in a lot of cases so they can go do this garbage.
SPEAKER 15 :
Exactly. We’re funding them. Most of Europe is broke right now. There’s social programs. I don’t know if you saw the John Stossel clip, but he had somebody on. Europe is broke. I mean, they’re spending more on social programs. By the way, one guy said, in Sweden, if you’re the father and your wife has a baby, you can get 70 weeks of paid leave from your employer. And guess what? That’s a year and a half. And if your wife has a second baby, you get another 70 weeks. So you can be out for 140 weeks on your employer’s paycheck. Wow.
SPEAKER 16 :
Unreal.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah. I know we probably don’t have time to play the Fire Aid. I’ll talk about that.
SPEAKER 16 :
I can play it real quick. We may not be able to play all of it. Just tell me. Just jump in when you want me to stop, and we’ll do it that way, Joe. Okay. Let’s do it. Here we go.
SPEAKER 20 :
One of the big names who took the stage for Fire Aid, that star-studded concert that raised $100 million for wildfire victims. But where did all that money go? Investigative journalist Sue Pascoe has been digging for answers. And what she’s discovered might just surprise you. And Sue Pascoe, she joins me now live on set. You are the editor of Circling the News. We can clearly see that. Thanks for the work that you’re doing. So this is personal and professional for you because you lost your home in the Palisades fire. But that’s not necessarily how this story landed in your lap. How did this all come to be?
SPEAKER 18 :
A reader sent me a little note and said, I’ve never seen any fire aid money. How do I apply for fire aid money? And I thought, well, you know, I’ve never thought about that. There’s 12,000 people, basically, 12,000 homes gone. Those people probably want to know where the money is. This will be an easy task to find out. So I contacted the Annenberg. They never responded. And the Annenberg Foundation, because they are overseeing the wildfire funds, yes. So I emailed them several times. They never responded. I called them several times. They never responded. And finally, it was like almost two weeks later, a woman got back to me and she said, oh, I’m sorry for the delay. The person you need to speak to is Chris Wallace. He’s a media spokesperson for wildfire funds. So I contacted Chris and I said, you know, victims want to know when they can get their money. It seems like a very simple question. He said, basically, they don’t. All this money are going to nonprofits, and then nonprofits will take care of making sure the money’s distributed. So I looked at, initially they gave $50 million to about 120 nonprofits, And I looked at these nonprofits, and one of them said, we help mobile home parks. And there were two mobile home parks in the Palisades, all low income. And so I contacted the people there. They had never received any money. They had never heard of that. When you go through, I would urge everyone to just go to the nonprofits.
SPEAKER 16 :
So in other words, the money’s going to a bunch of nonprofits that are keeping the money, I’m guessing, Joe.
SPEAKER 15 :
Right, because each one of those nonprofits, you know, has a director, right? And those directors, you know, none of them work for less than $100,000. No, they’re only in money. Right. By the way, one of the nonprofits, their charter was to clean restrooms in public schools. Now, if you’re going to have two or three organizations, you might say, hey, we’re going to do it to the Salvation Army, this and that.
SPEAKER 09 :
Right.
SPEAKER 15 :
When you have 120 nonprofits and each one has a CEO that’s making no less than $120,000, $100,000 a year, and John, I wouldn’t be surprised. How much of that money is going to be left to actually distribute, if any?
SPEAKER 16 :
None.
SPEAKER 15 :
None. So $100 million was raised back in January, and to this date, not $1 has gone to a single homeowner.
SPEAKER 16 :
What a load of crap.
SPEAKER 15 :
Right. And you didn’t hear that on the evening news, did you? Of course not. Now, if you lived in L.A., you heard it. That was on a local L.A. TV station. But you didn’t hear that on the national news.
SPEAKER 16 :
So you’ve got to wonder then, and I don’t know whether she talked about this in this particular clip or not, what do all of the star-studded individuals that played in these particular concerts think, or did she get that far?
SPEAKER 15 :
She didn’t get that far. Nobody’s gone back and interviewed them. You know, what do you think of all the time and energy you put into your performance?
SPEAKER 16 :
Knowing not one dime of it’s gone to the people you actually did the performance for.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah. I’d love to hear.
SPEAKER 16 :
I would, too.
SPEAKER 15 :
But, John, I got one more thing I want to cover before we go. Now, you know, there was much you heard last week about In-N-Out Burger announcing that they were leaving. Well, I wanted to go. I took some time, did some research. And I did the list of the companies that have announced that either have left California or that are intending to leave California. I’ve got two lists. The first ones are the ones moving out, and the second one is the list moving in. So here’s just some. Now, the ones moving out over the last four years is over 100 companies. But here’s some big names. Oracle, the big software giant. Tesla, Chevron, SpaceX, McAfee, the big computer virus people. Hewlett-Packard, Neutrogena, the big soap and facial care.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yep.
SPEAKER 15 :
You know who C.B. Richard Ellis is?
SPEAKER 16 :
Oh, yeah. I’m very familiar with him. One of the largest property management companies in the country.
SPEAKER 15 :
In the world. Every city, if you have an office building, it’s managed, it’s rented, maintained by C.B. Richard Ellis, Charles Schwab, Realtor.com, In-N-Out Burger. That’s just some of the 100 companies that have either already moved out or announcing they are moving, intend to move out. You want to hear the list of the companies that are moving into California?
SPEAKER 16 :
There probably isn’t one, is there?
SPEAKER 15 :
Here’s the list. Are you ready?
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, there isn’t any. They don’t exist.
SPEAKER 15 :
That’s the list, Joe.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, because why would you, Joe?
SPEAKER 15 :
Why would you? And by the way, when they move out, you know, these corporate headquarters, you know, if you’re an executive in a corporate headquarters in California, I think even the janitor must make $100,000 in California. These are the, you know, high-income people. So, you know, you’re taking out. a good chunk of the upper income tax.
SPEAKER 16 :
Your tax base, in other words, you’re not losing, sorry to say this, Joan, I’m not trying to be degrading here, but you’re not losing the homeless person or, you know, she was talking about the mobile home parks that were lost in that fire. Those aren’t who you’re losing and who’s moving.
SPEAKER 15 :
No, no, you’re losing the upper, I’m going to say upper third, upper quarter of your tax base, and that’s what’s happening to California.
SPEAKER 16 :
So a question, Joe, not to get off on a tangent, but how long can they keep that up? I mean, how long can they keep doing that without having any huge detrimental budget? And I already know there’s budget issues going on in California, but how long can they do this?
SPEAKER 15 :
John, I think it’s only, by the way, their pension fund, By the way, if you are a fireman or a police officer in any city in California, in Colorado you have PARA, Public Employees Retirement, while California has CalPERS, which, by the way, is the biggest single retirement fund in the United States, if not the entire world. CalPERS is underfunded to the tune of $90 billion.
SPEAKER 05 :
Wow.
SPEAKER 15 :
And every year when the state tries to balance its budget, the first thing they do, is they cut contributions to CalPERS. Well, what happened in Detroit 10 years ago, you know, finally Detroit, the pension fund ran dry, and it went to the bankruptcy court, and the bankruptcy court told every retiree in the city, you’re going to have to take a haircut on your pension check. I think, now, if Biden was still in office, and that happened tomorrow, I guarantee you he’d have the federal government step in and bail out CalPERS. But I think if CalPERS… cannot meet its financial obligations sometime in the next five years, which I think is very possible, that’s when it’s going to hit the fan. When CalPERS can’t fund, it can’t pay 100% of its pension obligations. Interesting.
SPEAKER 16 :
It’s not good, and that’s why they’re losing more and more people, and it’s going to continue to happen, Joe.
SPEAKER 15 :
Right, because their solution is let’s raise taxes. Yep. And they never read the tale of the goose that laid the golden egg.
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, and what they’ve, you know, for years and years and years with California, for those of you listening, what they’ve relied on, and Joe, you know this, is they’ve had, you know, probably some of the best climate in all of the country. And I’m not saying that lightly. I mean, you look at what they’ve got, especially Southern California and down, but even Northern California. I mean, they’ve got climate and everything. and things and recreation and, you know, just as far as a place to live goes, Joe, it’s what built California into what it is today. They’ve got some of the best weather probably of anywhere in the entire country, but that only takes you so far.
SPEAKER 15 :
It does. And one of the reasons, John, is because you have the onshore breeze off the Pacific. Well, if you’re in the coastal region, that onshore breeze in the summer keeps you relatively cool. It’s a nice cooling breeze coming off the water. And in the wintertime, even though the water gets down to, you know, 45, 50 degrees, That 45 or 50 degree debris keeps you from going. There are very few places on the coast of Southern California that ever see freezing temperature. Correct. It never snows in San Diego. It never snows in L.A. Right. And it rarely does it go below freezing.
SPEAKER 16 :
Right.
SPEAKER 15 :
That’s right. So there are no snow blowers in Los Angeles.
SPEAKER 16 :
And that includes San Francisco. Even though it gets cool in San Francisco, it rarely – I don’t know. I have to go back and look and see if it’s ever snowed there. But if it did, it wasn’t much.
SPEAKER 15 :
Because, again, that 40-degree ocean breeze keeps you above freezing.
SPEAKER 16 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 15 :
So you don’t want to be a snowblower dealer in California. No, no, no.
SPEAKER 16 :
You’re not selling snowplows there. Not at all. But, again, Joe, that climate can only take them so far, and it’s starting to run out. And really quick, and for all of you listening, here’s why. With travel and everything the way it is now, Joe, people can live in other places, still go to those places when they want to, still enjoy the warmer climate, and not have to live there.
SPEAKER 15 :
Exactly. And, John, I think what’s happening is you’re seeing the pace accelerating. By the way, there’s one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States. Do you know where St. George, Utah is?
SPEAKER 16 :
Oh, yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER 15 :
It’s right nestled up against the side of California. A lot of California companies are just moving literally over the border to St. George, Utah.
SPEAKER 16 :
Doing the same thing in Nevada and Arizona.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yep. Yep. And that’s what’s happening. So, John, I think the pace is accelerating fast. That’s why I think it could be sometime in the next five years they hit a financial crisis.
SPEAKER 16 :
Okay. We’ll be watching. Joe, as always, I appreciate it very much. Have a great rest of your day as well. Geno’s Auto Service coming up next. And if you’ve got air conditioning problems with your car on a hot day like today, give Geno’s a call. Geno’sautoservice.com. Geno starts with a J.
SPEAKER 17 :
Air conditioning season is here. Take advantage of Geno’s Auto’s air conditioning recharge special. Is your vehicle’s air conditioning ready to keep you cool on hot days? We all know how fast Colorado can heat up during the day. The refrigerant in your air conditioning system gets contaminants, evaporates, and breaks down over time. That refrigerant needs to be able to absorb heat to be able to cool your vehicle’s interior. Geno’s uses a cooling machine that takes out the old refrigerant and cleans it. Then they put the clean refrigerant back, topping off with Freon at the right level. To make your life simpler, Geno’s offers loaner vehicles so you can drop your car off and pick up when ready. We back up our work with NAPA’s nationwide 36-month, 36,000-mile warranty. Stay cool this summer by making sure your system is up to date and ready for this year’s summer heat. Give us a call or go online to schedule an appointment. We’re AAA approved and located at Bowles and Platt Canyon. Stop in or visit us online at genosautoservice.com.
SPEAKER 16 :
Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning, as I said a moment ago, still hot outside, having any issues at all when it comes to your air conditioning, give Cub Creek a call today. Find them at klzradio.com.
SPEAKER 17 :
You should have Cub Creek Heating and AC on speed dial by now. We hit a heat wave every summer, and their phones are already ringing off the hook. Owner Dave Bancroft has streamlined everything from sales to installation using only their own trusted installers. That means you get high-quality windows and expert service at a fair, honest price. SPEAKER 05 :
This is Rush to Reason on KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 16 :
And we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Okay, I wasn’t on yesterday because, like I was telling you guys, I took a day off to work on some things at home in regards to my folks’ estate and so on. And, by the way, just a quick reminder. For those of you that are getting a little bit older, I’m not saying super old, but a little older, and I get text messages on this. Somebody actually texted me today talking about what I was doing yesterday and the fact that they’re going through on their own doing the same thing so that they can, A, save money and not put a big burden upon their kids. And I can’t stress enough, those of you that are getting up in age, I would say if you’re in your 60s, start minimizing the crap you have. Don’t leave that stuff for your kids. Start going through those, you know, even pictures and things like that. If you’ve got the ability to go through that stuff, do it now. Don’t leave that burden to your heirs because, and I say this all the time, a lot of what you feel is important, And maybe this is where you sit down even with your kids and have a conversation, but you might feel it’s important. Frankly, your next of kin may not feel the same way about that thing that you do. So bottom line, go through and clean a bunch of stuff up. Don’t leave that stuff to your heirs. Ben and Evergreen, you’re next.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, I just wanted to say, Joe, I always listen to the guy. Today, his subject matter, he’s always good, but he was brilliant pointing out these absurdities. And, you know, additional comments about that. I want the world to change, which it’s unlikely to, to the point where guys like me and Joe get put out of business. because the problems get cleaned up. Right.
SPEAKER 16 :
I agree. Absolutely, Ben. Absolutely.
SPEAKER 07 :
Toward that end, if anybody’s got a nonprofit, I’ll do it for half the money, and I’ll really pay… any of that money, where it really ought to go.
SPEAKER 16 :
Here’s the problem, Ben, really quick, and maybe I’m wrong in my assumption here, but I’ve been involved with some different organizations in the past, churches, nonprofits, and so on, and before I started doing the radio show here, there was a particular organization that I, because I had the ability at that time, whereby I offered, listen, I can come in, I will help you on the executive sides of things, I can help you with a lot of your systems and different things, help clean up a lot of things, really make things run more efficiently than they are right now, and helping you at the end of the day, and I’ll do it for free. All I need is permission to make some of the changes internally that we need to make to make this organization better than what it is now. Ben, guess what I was told? Huh? No, we don’t need that. So my point with a lot of these organizations, and I get where you’re coming from, and I would do the same thing, believe it or not, most of these nonprofits, they don’t want that, Ben. They want to keep doing things just the way they’ve been doing them right now, and they could care less if guys like you and I can come in and help them do things better. Huh. That’s the sad part.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, thank God we’ve got Trump and the current executive branch, hopefully, to shift some of this over. Amen. I hope that… Sooner or later, there’s a trickle-down effect in Colorado, which is really kind of up to us. Because we really shouldn’t expect the government, the feds, to come to our rescue. You know, nobody’s coming. We should clean it up ourselves. It’s so daunting. It’s like, where do you start? And, you know, my only thinking is the current Republican Party… You could probably argue that they get in their own way, but are they really? Are they just, you know, obstructionists for the sake of being obstructionists? I don’t know. But hardly anybody says, oh, the Republican Party. They’re kicking butt out there. They’re getting it all done.
SPEAKER 16 :
My gut feeling, Ben, and I’ve been thinking a lot about this, so I’m glad you brought that up because it’s something that I’ve thought a lot about of late. And I’m not being – I’m just saying this in generalities. I am not picking on or pointing fingers at anyone. person and or part of the party now i do believe there are parts of the party and the republicans and democrats both whereby there is an ultimate agenda of what they want to see done and i think when you get to both ends of the party the same thing is happening in the democrat party you know one side wants this the other side wants something else now that’s the extremes i think there’s a lot of folk ben that are in the middle that would jump on board and really get things going and go like gangbusters if they had the right leadership in the right um uh Drive is probably the best word that I’m looking for to do so. The problem, Ben, is and I want your opinion on this. I think what’s happened is the majority of people that get involved in not only politics, but even nonprofits. is they’ve never done business. They’ve never written a paycheck. They do this because it’s something they’ve had a lifelong endeavor to do or they knew somebody that was or they’ve been in some sort of a community involvement or they’ve studied political science in college, so that’s what they want to do. The bottom line, Ben, is I feel like the majority of people that are internal to politics – have never done what I’ve done, for example. They’ve never run a company. They’ve never written a paycheck. It’s not something that they do on a routine basis. Not all. There are some folk in our party that have, but by and large, Ben, they haven’t. And I really do feel strongly that that’s part of the problem we have. We don’t have true business guys running the party right now.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, I don’t know enough about the inner workings to comment, but What I can say is if you’re just looking at results, right now they’re getting 100% of zero. Correct. And I would think that, you know, I’ve seen job descriptions before. It’s like to be a computer programmer. This is level two. You have to have these certifications. You’ve got to have three years’ experience. you you know you’ve got your own projects you’ve done you have to demonstrate a level of capability and my guess is there’s people that want to do it that haven’t signed those paychecks that and run a business you know i i think i probably think like you yeah let’s just figure out how to streamline this all right get a consensus
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, the reality, Ben, is, to your point, we don’t have that, especially in our party, and I think in a lot of ways our party becomes a lot like churches. It’s always been done this way, so we need to keep doing it this way. Nobody has any type of… fresh ideas when it comes to how do we get a particular person to even run? How do we get this candidate elected once they have decided to run? What things can we do differently this time around than what we’ve done in the past? Which, by the way, as business owners, we have to do constantly or you don’t stay in business. We don’t have that right now. I’m just being straight up honest, Ben. We don’t have that in our party right now, period. That mentality doesn’t exist.
SPEAKER 07 :
And, you know, the one thing you have to respect about the Democrats is even though the results kind of suck, is they get a consensus. They get people on board. Correct. They figured out what it takes to run this political machine. The machine, that’s right. And they get it all done. You’re right. And so my thinking is if you’re a Republican out there, figure out what your competition is doing that does work and copy them and figure out what you’re doing that doesn’t work And don’t do it anymore. And your odds of success have got to, by default or whatever, they’ve got to improve.
SPEAKER 16 :
But here’s the problem, Ben, and this is not – and be careful how I say this because I don’t want anybody to accuse me of something that’s not true. I believe in our side, Ben. I love our side. I love the independence that our side has. The problem, Ben, is that independence and that independent thinking, that thinking that we have whereby, Ben, you do you and I’ll do me. And at the end of the day, as long as we’re going the same direction, we’ll all be OK. The Democrats don’t see it that way. The Democrats want to control, Ben, what you do and what I do. They have a totally different approach. Therefore, their messaging works better because they’re They’re controlling everything. Every narrative that comes out of every politician that runs on their side is exactly the same. We don’t have that because we are independent thinkers, which I agree with and I enjoy. The problem is it kills us in politics.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, the lack of that teamwork, if you use the parallel of what makes the military work, the Army… Everybody does everything the same way. And Napoleon started a lot of that because he wanted the dumbest people to be, and he’d break everything down so they could do the most complex thing. And teamwork is part of that.
SPEAKER 16 :
We don’t do that very well, Ben, on our side. And again, I’m not being critical. I’m just stating the facts. And yet there are very – there’s great organizations that have a lot of independent thinkers in them that still succeed. The key is having the right folk at the top. that can lead those individuals along the same path, even though they’re all independent and they think independently of one another. Collectively, you bring them together to accomplish the good of the whole. And I’m sorry to say, Ben, we still don’t have that. Yeah, unfortunately, you’re right, or I think you’re right. Well, I mean, I’m open for suggestions for anybody else out there listening. I mean, because, again, there’s a lot of folks out there, Ben, that will point to, oh, it’s the rhinos. They’re the ones that are screwing the party up, and we can’t get anywhere because of them. And then you’ve got the other side saying, no, it’s not because of the rhinos. It’s because of your hardcore MAGA guys that can’t ever make any decisions and everything has to be a particular way. You’ve got both ends kind of pointing at each other. The reality is somebody has to come along and say, wait a minute, timeout, guys. We can all work to the same goal and accomplish what we need to and start winning again. But, Ben, we don’t have anybody doing that.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah. And, of course, it’s easy to pass it along and go, somebody ought to do that. I don’t know who, and I don’t know exactly how. But sooner or later, it’s going to have to come down to that. Or California or Colorado is going to be – you know, a carbon copy of what doesn’t work, which is California.
SPEAKER 16 :
That’s right. You’re 100% correct, Ben.
SPEAKER 07 :
And so we’re on the path to destruction.
SPEAKER 16 :
You’re right. You are 100% correct.
SPEAKER 07 :
Unfortunately, and I think nationally, why that’s happening is, for whatever reason, I don’t quite get it. Well, I think I get elements of it, but that, you know, the idea is Hey, the system isn’t working well enough for the blue collar people. So let’s destroy it. But when you destroy it, it turns out to be worse than if they’d have left it alone.
SPEAKER 16 :
That’s what the left just determined in this last election. So one thing that they didn’t do correctly, Ben, is they’ve gotten so anti-men that this last go around, it really showed because all of the men that they knew they were against came out in droves and voted for Donald Trump. So that’s a great example of what the left did. Now, here’s what I’m going to say along those lines for all of you listening. The left won’t do that again. Now, they kind of are still doing some of that because they’re they’re ingrained in those ways. But believe me, as we get back into the next presidential election, especially and even in 2026, I think you’re going to see them take some reversals of that. They’re going to go after that male vote and they’re going to try to come out. And this is what they’re this is some of the division they’re having in their own party right now is they’re trying to figure out, Ben, how do we bring that male voter back in that we ostracized last go around in 2024?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, well, of course, the left probably won’t repeat their mistakes, but my theory is when your adversary is doing something wrong, Don’t correct them. I know.
SPEAKER 16 :
And I think we have a grand opportunity, given what I just said, and also knowing that, to your point, they won’t make the same mistake twice. So what they’re going to do, Ben, mark my words on this one, what the left is going to do, even in 2026, is they’re going to try to blow a hole. And every single thing that’s happening right now nationwide, especially with Donald Trump and what he’s done with this or that, and I believe it’s partially why Jerome Powell is so hardcore on not lowering rates because he’s on the side of the left. I don’t care what anybody says. He’s a lefty through and through. You can see that by his actions and what he has done. He is on their side, Ben, and they are going to try to do everything they possibly can to not have things move forward because they know that at the end of the day, it’s still the economy, stupid.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, I just hope everybody in America gets that memo. I hope so. Or at least the majority doesn’t, like, throw it away and go, oh, we got that all handled. Yeah, I hope so, too. No, we don’t. It’s an ever-vigilant thing. You cannot put your feet up on the desk. You have to keep them on the ground and be able to address… any and all obstacles as they come your way.
SPEAKER 16 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 07 :
Ben, with that, I apologize.
SPEAKER 16 :
With that, I’m out of time. I’m sorry. I’ve got to take a break. I appreciate that, though, Ben. Great conversation, as always. I always enjoy when you call in, and I mean that sincerely. SPEAKER 10 :
The best export we have is common sense. You’re listening to Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 16 :
All right. And I had several different comments, text messages on our last topic with Ben, last conversation with Ben. I should say, Ben, again, I do appreciate every time you call. I enjoy the conversations greatly. You make me think. And I know you do a lot of listeners as well. I had several different text messages that came in. By the way, all of them agreeing, really saying that, yeah, the left has this attitude of you’re going to do what I say and shut up or else. That’s exactly how the left does it. And they get everybody to walk in line, lock, stock and barrel to do exactly what they say. All the same message, all the same narrative. They do great at that. I will give you I’m always willing to give kudos where kudos are due. They do great at that. It’s not our way of doing it. We are independent thinkers. And I like that fact. In fact, I think that’s a great message to have. In fact, that’s a message I think we could send to the middle, especially talking about how, you know, we’re not going to force the way we think upon anyone. We value your opinion. We want you to live your best life and we want you to have choices. And that needs to be the message that we as conservatives and and the GOP needs to send out, especially here in Colorado, because it’s not what the other side is sending out. Our problem is that we get caught up in all of these things that are very important, by the way. I’m not saying that they aren’t, you know, the right to life and all these different things that we really are hardcore on and we should be. But on the same token, there’s things that I think we could, quote, unquote, soften in our approach and yet still accomplish what we need to at the end of the day. It’s a lot like raising kids, especially teenagers. Maybe that’s the example I should use. You pick your battles with teenagers and at times couching things in a way whereby it doesn’t seem so harsh, but yet you’re still getting your point across. all the while raising your kids to try to be good adults at some point in their life. All right, I’ve got another break to take. We got behind with Joe and Ben and all that, but great conversations we had with both of them. Golden Eagle Financial is next. Al Smith, find out where you’re at financially speaking, and if you’re on your way to retirement and doing the right things the right way, talk to Al today. Find him at klzradio.com.

SPEAKER 23 :
Here’s why you need personal injury attorney Kevin Flesch on your side. He understands the way the jury thinks. In the context of a personal injury case, you’ve been hurt by someone else’s negligence. The idea is that you’re going to try to recover so that you can get back to where you were just prior to that incident occurring. What that really means from a jurist’s perspective is that you’re going to be asking them to award you money. So when we talk about fairness, we’re talking about six people that you don’t know. Those six people view the evidence and make a unanimous decision that will decide what the fair value is. When you’re the one who’s hurt, you have a good idea of what you think it’s worth. The question is, can you persuade those other individuals whom you don’t know and were witnesses to believe that’s what the case is worth? Kevin Flesch understands the way the jury thinks. Call now for a free consultation. 303-806-8886
