Switching gears, the episode uncovers a lesser-known, yet crucial issue unfolding in Denver, Colorado. John Rush delves into the controversy surrounding an Instagram page, Do Better Denver, that aims to spotlight the city’s struggles with crime and homelessness. The chilling revelation of potential privacy invasions by the city’s mayor’s office, seeking to unmask contributors to this page, marks a serious discussion on free speech. Experience the clashing undertones of liberal and conservative perspectives as Denver’s local government is challenged by its citizens demanding transparency and accountability. Could this be a defining moment for free speech and civic responsibility in
SPEAKER 04 :
This is Rush to Reason. You are going to shut your damn yapper and listen for a change because I got you pegged, sweetheart. You want to take the easy way out because you’re scared. And you’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only you to blame. Let me break this down for you. Life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes. With your host, John Rush. My advice to you is to do what your parents did. Get a job, sir.
SPEAKER 11 :
You haven’t made everybody equal. You’ve made them the same, and there’s a big difference.
SPEAKER 12 :
Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
SPEAKER 04 :
Are you crazy? Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?
SPEAKER 05 :
It’s Rush to Reason with your host, John Rush, presented by Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning.
SPEAKER 03 :
And we are back. Hour number three, Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Myself, Andy Pate, Jim Paff joining us now, Conservative Caucus. Jim, welcome. How are you today?
SPEAKER 09 :
Doing well, John. How are you doing, my friend?
SPEAKER 03 :
Doing great. Talk to us about, A, you’ve been to Europe recently, and B, let’s talk about, Andy and I already did through the show to an extent, but the tariff deal that we put together with the EU as well.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, so I haven’t been to Europe, but I have been to Europe, but not recently.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, I thought it was recently. I’m sorry.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, no, no, no worries. Donald Trump is winning bigly, okay? Let’s just be very happy about what’s happened in the last six months.
SPEAKER 03 :
Amen.
SPEAKER 09 :
Papped off by what just took place in another amazing foreign trip. So here you have Donald Trump serving courts to European leaders on his own turf. It is just amazing. But then you’ve got the most one-sided deal, even Democrat economists, as if there were any of those, actually, because they’re usually stupid about economics. But Democrat economists even admit it’s a one-sided deal in our favor. And then Keir Starmer just, you know, looking really sheepish as he has to go in. Instead of a meeting at 10 Downing Street, he’s got to run up to Scotland and to meet with Donald Trump. Donald Trump is on a roll internationally. He’s respected internationally. And this reset of world trade that is commencing and has a few more steps to take is going to not only make America prosperous, but really when America gets prosperous, even with these trade deals, the whole world’s going to be prosperous. It’s really the golden age.
SPEAKER 06 :
Jim, two things. First of all, his news conference with her was a hostage video. Okay, I’m sorry.
SPEAKER 09 :
Quite true.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, she looked like she was a hostage in a video. And secondly, I just got to ask, did he have, like, compromising video or pictures of her to get that deal? I mean, how on earth did we, Rob, we just got them to pledge to shove $1.3 trillion into our economy, and that’s before buying all the weaponry they’re going to be buying, all for the right. All for the right. to have to take on 15% tariffs our way while we pay zero selling to them.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, by the way, I don’t know that the non-tariff barriers in Europe have all gone away, so that zero percent I think makes up for that, but it’s still a great deal. True, true. But listen, listen, what’s really interesting about that is it exposed her, no, excuse me, exposed Europe, for where it really is economically. It is a regulatory nightmare in every country in Europe, even Great Britain out of the EU these days. And their economy, which if people remember 20 years ago, folks said that the European Union was going to overtake us in GDP. They have grown nowhere near as much as we have. in GDP over that time period because their regulatory structure is outrageous. There’s high uncertainty in their entire economy because of that. And the added feature of this is that their Digital Services Act makes it so difficult to innovate in the tech industry that you do not have major tech developments. taking place there. On the other hand, even with all of our problems, I think we’re a highly regulated country right now, much more than we should be, there is innovation taking place. And they knew that they had to make a deal because Donald Trump was going to slap the kind of tariffs on them that were not going to be comfortable for them. They know that they would have been taken under. It’s not just by the way that Donald Trump moved on NATO to make them start participating more, which they have done They know that their policies, we have been supporting, in effect, because our strength and their connections to us have given them the ability to have stupid monetary policy to pay off debts in countries like Greece and elsewhere that should never have been paid off. I mean, that’s why. They had themselves in a corner boxed, and George Bush and Barack Obama before us had allowed that to continue. Donald Trump took that away, and she had to come and kiss the ring.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well said. Basically what we were talking about earlier. Now, with all of that going on, what do you think is going to happen with some of the other trade deals that are still on the table? In other words, we’ve got that one done. Japan is done. What do you feel is next?
SPEAKER 09 :
So kind of may, may, and I say a big may, be next. So Scott Bessette just… was out there today talking about recent talks, I think that just took place today or yesterday, I can’t remember which. And there is some potential agreement, apparently, according to what they were saying, that China may make with China, which Donald Trump’s going to look at. Now, the way that they’re talking, it sounds to me like it’s not going to happen, but they’re getting closer to a deal. China’s getting boxed in, too. China’s another economy that is a fake economy based on the numbers that we have. They certainly have a lot of GDP there, and it’s not like they’re a nothing economy. But they do not have the kind of GDP that they report, and they definitely don’t have the structural integrity in their economy that we have, even with all of our faults. And so they’re going to have to come to a deal with the EU making the deal that was just made here. They are going to have to quickly get something done or they’re going to find themselves in big trouble because we’re already extracting a lot of what connects to our economy out of China, either into other countries or back here into the U.S. And they know that that’s happening. It’s going to happen with fervor and they can’t do anything about it unless they get a deal.
SPEAKER 03 :
What are some of your initial – or what are you initially hearing on the China deal? What kind of numbers or what kind of deals being talked about right now, or have you heard?
SPEAKER 09 :
I have not heard. I didn’t have time to really try to scope it out. But remember, they have been getting the worst retaliation when it comes to tariffs anywhere internationally. They’re having to eat all that. They’re not – part of the reason we haven’t seen prices – go up in a substantial manner here in the united states it is not only because his tariff policy does work, and economists have been really wrong about this for decades, because they were calculating that we had free and open trade worldwide, and we didn’t. The world had free trade with us, and we didn’t have it with them. That’s getting balanced out. That’s part of the reason that we are not seeing this inflation. But the other reason we’re not is because China can’t compete in this market if it doesn’t keep prices down. And these massive tariffs that are presently upon them They’ve been eating out of their bottom line. And now they’re going to make a deal, and again, eventually, I presume, and you’re not going to see price increases still. And it’s going to be more in our favor. It’s going to be a tough one. This is the toughest one that Donald Trump has to do. But I haven’t heard what those numbers are, but I think they’ll be favorable. And Donald Trump is going to make a deal with them. One way or the other, he’ll make it happen.
SPEAKER 06 :
Jim, I think the nation that’s going to wait the longest, or at least wait a while, is Canada, because I think it’s personal. I think Donald Trump looks at them and says, your people voted in this leadership just to spite me. Okay. And if you look at the top, our top trading partners, Canada is the one that’s about to get hit with the top tariff, 35%. I mean, there are some countries paying 40, but they’re like Tunisia. They’re nobodies. Okay. Canada, it’s going to be 35%. So here’s my question to you. How long under that kind of a tariff will it take before Canada is rubble?
SPEAKER 09 :
Three months. I mean, they’re going to have to move quickly, particularly if China makes a deal, if we get a deal with China, because they do have, as well, substantial arrangements economically with China, obviously on a much smaller scale than the United States, but it’s substantial to them. And then China and their trade with us is going to get reset. They’re going to be left out into the cold. And you are right. They’re being very stubborn, and they will be as stubborn as they can be for two reasons. The first one is that Donald Trump, to get the negotiation that he eventually is going to get with Canada, I predict. This is why he was calling Canada the 51st state. It’s why he was putting him down. It was mostly to go at Trudeau, who was prime minister at the time. But this new guy is really not much different than Trudeau, maybe even a little bit worse. And he’s trying to dig his heels in. He’s not going to be able to do it. They don’t have the economic power to do so, and their connections to us are too significant for them to be able to hold out for very long. But this government in Canada represents, in many ways… what Democrats do governing-wise and have done here in the United States. And I would say this. Manitoba is making serious moves to try to become a 51st state in the United States. They’re so fed up about it. And that’s Texas. Like, Manitoba in Canada is Texas, okay? And they’re tired of it. They want to pull away. That eventually is going to cause fissures in Canadian politics. and Canadian economy such that they’re going to have to come around, and you just might see a change to a good government, or at least a much better one in Canada, in a shorter time period than their typical parliamentary system.
SPEAKER 06 :
I would add Saskatchewan in on that. I think both of them right now are looking at the East and basically saying this, look, you make a deal with America that we like, or we may bolt. I mean, they’re furious.
SPEAKER 09 :
I totally agree with you. Saskatchewan and Manitoba are both Texas in a way. So there’s no Florida, or else I’d try to make that analogy. There’s no other one to make. But anyway, yeah, I think you’re right about that. And I don’t know how successful that will be, but these people that are moving for this in Manitoba I know are very serious. They’re constantly talking about it. They’re seriously having talks. with people to try to figure out what to do and uh and and it’s either going to break the current uh you know the current prime minister’s government or it’s going to lead to real secession and i think that that’s yeah it’s less than 50 but i think there is a chance that that could happen all right jim as always appreciated how do folks find you Go to theconservativecaucus.com. Theconservativecaucus.com.
SPEAKER 03 :
Awesome. Jim, thank you, man. Have a great week. Great to talk to you. All right. Talk to you soon. Up next, flesh law, civil, criminal, you name it. Kevin is always there for you. Just call 303-806-8886.
SPEAKER 14 :
Here’s why you need personal injury attorney Kevin Flesch on your side. He understands the way the jury thinks. In the context of a personal injury case, you’ve been hurt by someone else’s negligence. The idea is that you’re going to try to recover so that you can get back to where you were just prior to that incident occurring. What that really means from a jurist’s perspective is that you’re going to be asking them to award you money. So when we talk about fairness, we’re talking about six people that you don’t know. Those six people view the evidence and make a unanimous decision that will decide what the fair value is. When you’re the one who’s hurt, you have a good idea of what you think it’s worth. The question is, can you persuade those other individuals whom you don’t know and were witnesses to believe that’s what the case is worth? Kevin Flesch understands the way the jury thinks. Call now for a free consultation, 303-806-8886.
SPEAKER 03 :
Michael Bailey Law, he is our mobile estate planner. Talk to him today. Make sure your estate’s in order. Don’t forget to listen in tomorrow between 2.30 and 3 as well, right here on KLZ 560. Find him at klzradio.com.
SPEAKER 08 :
Michael Bailey, the mobile estate planner, has the key to wisely protecting your college-aged kids. Think about it. If your kiddo goes off to college and gets hurt, the hospital won’t let you make decisions for them because at age 18 and above, they are technically an adult. What if they’re unconscious? Will a doctor let you make health care decisions for an adult and stay informed about their medical condition? No. Before they’re 18, it’s a given. You can make those decisions. But after 18, there is typically no spouse or someone already approved to legally make those crucial decisions. Michael Bailey can help make short work of a general medical or financial power of attorney for your college goer in one easy appointment. He’s got the experience and knowledge to ensure that whatever happens, you can still be a dedicated parent to your kids. Find him on the klzradio.com advertisers page. and protect your kids by getting your power of attorney appointment set up today.
SPEAKER 07 :
Putting reason into your afternoon drive, this is John Rush.
SPEAKER 03 :
All right. I did not know anything about this particular story until somebody texted me earlier today. And I think another talk show host in town covered some of this today. So I apologize if something’s being repeated. But I don’t listen to other people’s shows, so I don’t know what goes on there. I was very disturbed, though, when I started reading some things about this particular story. So there’s an Instagram account here in Denver that’s called Do Better DNVR. Do Better Denver is the handle on Instagram.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, my wife’s a real fan.
SPEAKER 03 :
Go ahead. Oh, so your wife’s a big fan. Okay. So then she knows more about this than probably even I do. I didn’t know about this particular end of things. I don’t do a lot on Instagram in general, to be honest with you. My wife does way more than I do, and she’ll send me things here and there. But I’m not big on that particular platform, even being there and watching things and so on. It’s just not a big thing for me. Maybe I should learn to do more, but… Anyways, it’s not. So regardless, I had a tip from a listener, actually several of you. I had three or four that actually had come in today talking about this whole Do Better Denver story and what’s happening. And I’ll see if I can cut to the chase here, but it’s disturbing at best. So let me back up and talk about Do Better Denver. is an Instagram page whereby they and others that want to contribute can talk about how crappy Denver is. That’s why it’s Do Better Denver. Largely homelessness and crime. Most of it is highlighting the crime and the homelessness going on around town.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, and really quick here, they’re not right-wing.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, no. No, they’re not conservative by any means. No, but they’re fed up. They’re mad. They’re mad about how the city looks, all of the just – and if you go to their page and you look at it, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about because there’s pictures and video and all the camps and just the absolute nonsense that’s being allowed inside of Denver. And it’s now surrounding – it’s moved out into the surrounding suburbs and so on because of what Mike Johnston or the lack of action from Mike Johnston. And now his claim to fame is he’s cleaning up homelessness. He’s not doing anything. along those lines this whole page or this account is what i better say that’s a better way of saying it this account is to depict what’s going on inside of denver and do better denver now some of you are saying okay so who cares john so it’s a it’s a instagram page where they’re talking about all this stuff well that okay great who cares well here’s the rub now i’m gonna read this to you I – this is an immediate release. It was put on their page when? I can’t – two days ago. Three days ago. I, at Do Better Denver, demand accountability from Denver Mayor’s Office over alleged coercion of Denver police to investigate my protected speech. What’s going on is the mayor’s office – has put out some things inside of the Denver PD to find out who owns this page. Oh, really? Who are the personal people behind said page?
SPEAKER 06 :
Who cares who’s behind it? It’s a lot of people who are contributing openly. They’re sending in pictures and film and so forth.
SPEAKER 03 :
Which they are also going after. Oh! The Denver Post is going to actually run an article on this, I believe, tomorrow. And the Denver Post is on the side of the mayor’s office because they’re a bunch of stinking communists as well. And they’re actually looking into not only who owns the page, but who’s contributing to the page to try to dox them, to out them, if you would, at the end of the day, Andy. In other words, people don’t have free speech anymore.
SPEAKER 06 :
Wow. See, I was interested in talking to this lady, but she looked at Rush to Reason as too conservative.
SPEAKER 03 :
She should have come on here because we would be her ally.
SPEAKER 06 :
We would totally be her ally.
SPEAKER 03 :
We would be her ally.
SPEAKER 06 :
They’re not too bright, are they?
SPEAKER 03 :
Not real bright because we would be her ally.
SPEAKER 06 :
Totally, and they need to learn from that. By the way, this is all sounding like Tiananmen Square to be. I mean, here we’re going to start seeking you out. We’re going to track you down. And what? What are you going to do? I mean, they have a thing called free speech. All they’re doing is reporting what they see.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, and the way they learned that they were actually being investigated by the police department is through an open records report request. Right. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have known this because the mayor’s office and the police department both denied this was going on.
SPEAKER 06 :
Sure.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, I really trust the mayor of Denver. This is probably going to be a bigger story as time goes by. It’s just sort of starting to open up now. And the Denver Post, by the way, whoever’s over there running that thing, I mean, I know you’re a bunch of communists anyways, and I don’t care saying that because it’s the truth. I will not read a single article from your website because you have such a large paywall up that I refuse. It’s kind of one of those things like you won’t go watch so-and-so on the screen. I won’t go to the Denver Post. So any of you that send me anything from the Denver Post, I’m not reading it because I won’t go there.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, you know the newspaper Westward.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 06 :
Which is this wacko far leftist. I always call the Denver Post Postward.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, gotcha.
SPEAKER 06 :
And I’ve called them that for many years. I’ve called them post-word. And it was really sad when they absorbed the Rocky Mountain News because the Rocky Mountain News actually had… Some conservativeness to it. Right.
SPEAKER 03 :
It leaned left, of course, but it wasn’t… Of the two, they were more conservative than the Post.
SPEAKER 06 :
Exactly. Well, the Post absorbed them and just burned out any of the right-wing… Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
And then went out and bought a bunch of other papers that were all around town. Exactly. Like the Daily Camera up in Longmont, blah, blah, blah. They own all of them for the most part.
SPEAKER 06 :
And the camera was always hardcore left-wing anyway.
SPEAKER 03 :
I mean, it’s Boulder. From the 60s. Yeah, it’s Boulder, Eddie. Come on. At least you know what you’re up against.
SPEAKER 06 :
I would not want to even walk into the office of the camera if I wasn’t ready to just be high from the air.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, most likely. Anyway, there’s lots of posts along these lines, by the way. DPD denied allegations stating the police department is not investigating DBD social media accounts and has no reason to do so at this time. That was a complete utter lie, by the way. Oh, yeah. Yesterday, I received a shocking document from a CORA request submitted on 630 for all emails to and from Chief Thomas containing the key words, do better, Denver, showing that the Denver Police Protective Administration Department submitted a CORA request on 623 with 12 inquiries related to investigations into DBD. In other words, they’ve been looking at DBD for quite some time.
SPEAKER 06 :
Over a month.
SPEAKER 03 :
And they’ve been putting this, all of this, by the way, is out on that particular Instagram page or Instagram, whatever you want to call it, account. So you can go look at all these things that I’m talking about. This is all public. Anybody can go look at this stuff. You don’t even have to belong to Instagram to look at this stuff. You can just go find it and look at it.
SPEAKER 06 :
You know, and the real shocking thing about Do Better Denver, and my wife doesn’t even want us recommending them. She’s pretty mad that they wouldn’t embrace right-wing radio. But the really shocking thing about them is if you look at a lot of this footage on there, you’d almost think Denver is Baltimore. Right.
SPEAKER 03 :
In certain places, it is.
SPEAKER 06 :
I know, and that’s what I mean. They’re really uncovering the fact that Denver is much further gone than a lot of people think. A lot of people who are listeners, not just up in Wyoming, obviously, but I mean a lot of you are out in the suburbs, okay? And you’re out in Aurora, Saudi Aurora. I know that’s pretty far gone, too. But these suburbs are in pretty bad shape, right? Jeffco and these places, they’ve gotten pretty bad. But Denver has gotten much, much worse. It’s horrible down there, Jeff.
SPEAKER 03 :
By the way, to get all of the records from the police department on all of this, they want $6,000 to process that request. Oh, gosh. That’s also in all of these documents that I’m reading right on this Instagram page.
SPEAKER 06 :
And I’m sure that they would charge the exact same amount for a left-wing organization that wanted that information.
SPEAKER 03 :
They go on to say, Send the DM, blah, blah, blah. In other words, they’re telling you what to do if you want to try to participate in helping them with all of this. Again, at the end of the day, I don’t know why whoever you are, if you’re listening, why Do Better Denver would not want to come on this particular station or this particular show and talk about this, given the fact that we’re on your side. Totally. I don’t care what side of the aisle you’re on when it comes to this sort of thing. I will, and I’ve said this all day long, and I will continue to say it. I will stand and protect and do whatever I possibly can to protect the speech that you say, even if I don’t agree with it. Right. That’s called free speech, folks. Even if I don’t like what you’re saying, I will stand up and defend your right to say it all day long. Absolutely. By the way, that’s the difference for those of you listening that are on the left. That’s the difference between us on the right and those of you that are on the left. I will protect your right to say things I don’t agree with.
SPEAKER 06 :
John, I was a veteran. I was willing to die for your right to say things I disagree with.
SPEAKER 03 :
Absolutely. So, unfortunately, this is probably not going to have a good ending for the city of Denver and the police department or the Denver Post because you guys are acting like a bunch of gulags.
SPEAKER 06 :
They are. I don’t know about the cops because they’re just taking orders. I mean, their boss is their boss. I doubt that they would be in a lot of trouble.
SPEAKER 03 :
You know what I would be saying back if I were them? If I was the police chief, you know what I would be saying? Yeah, yeah, I would be saying, hell no. You’re wanting me to do what?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, and it’s kind of like a number of sheriffs around the state, not here in Denver, but around the state, have refused to seize guns. They’ve refused to… Right. And for some of the gun laws.
SPEAKER 03 :
And I get in this case, they’re kind of willful disobedience. I get Andy that this in this particular situation, the you know, the top person at Denver Police Department is responsible to or, you know, is accountable to the mayor’s office. And I mean, I get they’ve seen enough movies all the way back into Clint Eastwood days that that’s how things were. I get that. Although me personally, I would be having a little pushback saying, OK, time out. The answer on this one would be I think we should probably check with our city attorneys because what you want me to do is violating somebody’s free speech. Yeah. I think we should probably check with our own internal lawyers before you give me this order.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right. But ultimately, you have to keep in mind the mayor’s in charge. I know. I know. I mean, the electorate gave him power. Now, they gave power to a very bad person, but that’s what they do in Denver. They give power to bad people. What are you going to do? I knew a guy who was a cop, and he was actually upper level, and he was working in Denver, and he just said it was a living hell.
SPEAKER 03 :
Just as a side note, by the way, and you’re right. I know a Denver cop, and you’re correct. Most of them stay just because they know there’s going to be a pension and some other things there at the end of the day. That’s the only reason why they stay. Just as a side note, though, if Andy hadn’t told me That the operator of this site is somebody from the left, I would never know it from looking at the things that they post. Right. I would not know that.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, here’s the thing.
SPEAKER 03 :
Because, by the way, we’re in agreement on the majority of things that you’re posting and talking about. You’re in good company here with us at Rush to Reason because I’m with you on all of this.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah. Well, here’s the thing. I suspect this person was probably leaning left, but is leaning a lot more right. They’re probably going through the Tulsi Transfiguration.
SPEAKER 03 :
I hope so. We’re on your side, by the way. So if you’re listening, we’re on your side. So do better, Denver. You can go find them on Instagram. And again, make sure they give you the handle correctly. It’s Do Better DNVR, so short for Denver. Do Better Denver, that is their handle. 2,400 posts, about 121,000 followers. I would say go follow them. If you’re somebody that’s on Instagram, let’s help boost their page up. Go follow them. Go help them. Do whatever you can. Let’s show a liberal that we conservatives do care at the end of the day, folks.
SPEAKER 06 :

All right, we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Okay, another story that caught my eye today. This is moving away from what we were talking about with Do Better Denver. I don’t know how I just happened to catch this. Nine News. Brighter days ahead. Denver family moves to New Zealand amid fears over transgendered rights. Within 24 hours of the inauguration, they started making plans to leave the U.S. In the weeks following the 2024 presidential election, Brandon and Candace felt something shift, not just politically, but personally. They had been watching with concern as transgender rights came under increasing scrutiny across the country. The day that Donald Trump returned to the White House and signed an executive order declaring that there’s only two gendered Two genders, their fears crystallized into action. Within 24 hours, they started making plans to leave the United States. We needed a little bit of an escape plan, says Candace, who did not want to share their family’s last name for safety reasons. Maybe not something concrete at first, but we needed to start talking and start thinking about it seriously. Here’s the key, Andy. For the couple who lives in Denver… with their 10-year-old daughter, Chase, a rising fifth grader who came out as transgender several years ago. Okay, first of all, you two are idiots. You don’t know what parenting is, and you’re a couple of morons. Right. Frankly, social services should take your kid from you because you two don’t know how to raise one. You’re utter morons. You don’t need an escape plan. You need a lobotomy.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, for a moment, I want people to think, get your mind out of this current culture that you’ve lived in for the last, say, five years. Okay? And just take that out of that and imagine you were living 20 years ago, 30 years ago, any other time in history, in almost any other country on the planet, forever going back. Okay? You with me? Now imagine your child… believes that they are trapped in the wrong body.
SPEAKER 03 :
And remember, what I said was, came out as a transgender several years ago. That’s what I’m saying. She’s 10, or he’s 10. I don’t know what this is.
SPEAKER 06 :
Several years ago, which means what? Four or five, six?
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, probably seven, six or seven.
SPEAKER 06 :
That means the parents pushed him into it. Correct.
SPEAKER 03 :
You’re a Looney Tune.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right. The parents saw, maybe I got a tomboy for a girl, so we’re going to push him into this. The parents are nuts, and they have, this is really child abuse in my opinion. Okay. But setting that aside, If you were in any society other than what Western Civ has become over the last very few years, I mean any society for the history of mankind, you would think your kid was out of their mind. They literally believe that they are trapped in the wrong body.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, this is key. Okay. Chase… had long known, this is the parents talking, Chase had long known who she was. I’m guessing this is a boy turned into a girl. Oh, sure. Her parents said their role, this is why they need a lobotomy, because these are idiot parents. Her parents said that their role has always been to follow her lead, to listen, learn, and support her as she grew into her identity. No, no, no, no, no, no, that’s not your job. Your job as a parent is to lead, to teach, to guide, and to tell them when they’re wrong.
SPEAKER 06 :
John, what they just described, all a parent is is a feeder and someone who… What a bunch of morons. All a parent is is somebody who pays for housing and food. That’s all you are. You don’t lead them. You don’t guide them. You don’t instruct them. You don’t pull them away from bad things that are bad for them. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. We’re just there to follow the kid’s lead. Then what the hell are you there for? Why are you a parent?
SPEAKER 03 :
I’m sorry, but you two parents, I don’t know you personally, but if I met you, I would tell you this to your face. You are a couple of utter morons. You have no idea what being a parent is all about. Zero zilch. This is child abuse.
SPEAKER 06 :
I think they’re abusers. You’re child abusers. I think they’re abusers. And you could say, well, gee, in our modern society, we don’t call that child abuse. Oh, okay. That is the latest one half of 1% of human history. For the other 99.5% of human history, apparently you think all of those people and all those generations of all human history that came before us are insane and wrong. And you’re right. You’re the only ones who are right. Because let me tell you something. The other 99.5% of human history would say you are abusing your kid. Your kid is a boy.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yep. That you are allowing to turn into a girl, and that’s on you. You’re an idiot. Both of you are idiots. That’s on you and your culture. So they’re moving to New Zealand because it’s more protected there. This person will be more protected there. This particular dad has a job in the alcohol industry. I guess he applied for a visa, got the accreditation, whatever is needed to go to New Zealand. So you know what? Good riddance. Have fun.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, get out.
SPEAKER 03 :
But I feel sorry for the little boy. Oh, I do too. Because he’s going to be screwed up the rest of his life from you two.
SPEAKER 06 :
And by the way, John, question. Do you really think the little boy led his way into this?
SPEAKER 03 :
No, they did.
SPEAKER 06 :
They did.
SPEAKER 03 :
They did. You two are idiots.
SPEAKER 06 :
Absolutely. You saw your boy. You felt he had effeminate tendencies. You’re already activists. You’re already trans activists to begin with. Yep. And you shoved this down his throat. You made him go the way that you thought he was going. Oh, no, no, no. He was playing with dolls as a kid. Guess what? There have been little boys who played with dolls for centuries. And you know what their parents did? They said, I hear something. Let’s go throw the ball.
SPEAKER 03 :
I already told you a story about my brother, right? Have you heard that story? Yeah. And for those of you that haven’t heard it, I’ll explain it. My brother has passed. He wouldn’t care if I was saying this, even if he was still alive. And my dad’s in memory care, so I’m not talking bad about either one of them. This is just how we were raised. My dad’s a man’s man. I’ve said that a gazillion times over, and he was a man’s man. And my brother was about, I don’t know, I want to say he was probably six or seven-ish, somewhere in that neighborhood. It’s hard to remember exactly when you’re a kid. You try to remember… ages and so on. But I think he was probably around six or seven. And my cousin, and we’re really close with my cousins. This happened to be my older cousin of the two is the one that was murdered up in Thornton. So we were close. I mean, we’re a close family growing up and all of that. And my brother and the younger of the two cousins were also close. Actually, we were all close. But regardless, one of the cousins got a baby doll for birthday. And my brother, seeing her with the doll and all that, just thought, you know, that would be really cool if I had one. And my brother kept – his birthday happened to be right after Christmas. So my brother kept asking my dad, you know, can I get a baby doll? Can I get a baby doll? Can I get a baby doll? I mean, to the point where it’s almost becoming – A nuisance. And finally one day, this part I can still remember vividly. We’re in the living room, or family room I should say, and my brother, he’s hounding my dad for this baby doll. And finally my dad, my brother’s name was Mark, my dad finally said, Mark, you are a boy, and boys do not play with babies. So you are absolutely not getting a baby doll for your birthday. Don’t ever ask again, because boys don’t play with dolls.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, did it ruin his life?
SPEAKER 03 :
No, he became a pastor.
SPEAKER 06 :
He became a pastor. He became a pastor. I guess it worked out okay. It did not. Okay. Now, really quick. I think that’s hilarious. Let’s project that before we go to break. Okay. Back to this couple, and they got the kid who apparently around five or six.
SPEAKER 03 :
Probably started the same thing as my brother started talking and acting certain ways.
SPEAKER 06 :
They transitioned this kid. Okay, now.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, what they did was the opposite of my dad, where I guess my dad could have said, well, yeah, okay, Mark, if you want a baby doll, then yeah, we can get you a baby doll. In other words, pacify the kid.
SPEAKER 06 :
In other words, your dad didn’t follow the kid.
SPEAKER 03 :
No.
SPEAKER 06 :
Your dad led the kid.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes, thank you.
SPEAKER 06 :
And your dad didn’t allow. Now, here’s the big difference. Your dad’s kid never went on to believe he was literally trapped in the wrong body, which is insanity, by the way. That’s mental illness. That’s right. So these people led their kid, or had their kid lead them, that’s a joke, into mental illness. Now, here’s my question, John. That kid who is now being dragged off to New Zealand and is wrecked for life, if you go back for the rest of human history up until this very little sliver of time right now where we accept this, and you put him in any other family, and the family moves him into being a normal boy, and treats him as a boy, do you think that kid would have grown up with terrible psychological trauma?
SPEAKER 03 :
No, my brother didn’t.
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, but the movies, I’m telling you what, Hollywood, they’ll put on movies from the 30s, the 40s, the 50s, and basically make it act like we ruined kids back then because we didn’t have them explore this, literally believing you’re in the wrong body, this kind of thing. Hollywood… According to Hollywood, all those ages, we suppressed all the real feelings that were in these kids. You know what? They’re wrong. These kids, you had girls who were tomboys who grew up to be beautiful girls. And you had boys who maybe had an effeminate leaning of some sort. Guess what? Grew up to be great guys with five kids. Right. It’s fine. You ruined your kids.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yep.
SPEAKER 06 :
And now you dragged them to New Zealand.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yep. Anyways, when I ran across this article, I knew we had to talk about it today because it just, again, it proves the point of, A, people are complete knuckleheads. B, they have been ruined by all of this nonsense, as Andy said, Hollywood and other places into thinking that this is an okay thing to do. And number three, they’re absolutely awful parents.
SPEAKER 14 :
Awful.
SPEAKER 03 :

It’s time to leave your safe space. This is Rush to Reason on KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 03 :
Man, I feel like a woman. This is what Charlie’s playing for us on behalf of that last story.
SPEAKER 06 :
Shania knows what it’s like to be a woman.
SPEAKER 03 :
There we go.
SPEAKER 06 :
There you go, Shania.
SPEAKER 03 :
Preach it. Preach it. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush. Andy, you put something in our notes today talking about should this, should, how did you say this? Should she be removed? A Florida school chair apologizes after bashing Hulk Hogan after his death. One less MAGA. Can you bring it up? Yeah. Okay, sorry, I closed down my computer because the end of the show. Yeah. Sarah Rockwell, the chair of the… Alucha, make sure you’re saying that right, county school board in Florida, I’m probably saying that wrong, but issued a public apology Saturday after a backlash over comments she made on Facebook following the death of professional wrestler Hulk Hogan, which I talked about last week. And she had, it’s right here in front of me, Florida school board chair under fire for disturbing social media posts following Hulk Hogan’s death. Good. One less MAGA in the world is what she posted.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay. And now she’s come out and apologized and said it was wrong, I did this, I did that.
SPEAKER 03 :
And she should be removed?
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah. I want you to flip this. What if a conservative teacher had said this after a liberal died?
SPEAKER 03 :
Right.
SPEAKER 06 :
You know, one less liberal, you know, Whoopi Goldberg, you know, she’s getting up there. Let’s say she passes on. And some conservative, you know, right, a conservative school teacher would come out and say, good, one less, you know, liberal on the view.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, they should be fired. Let’s use this example because it happened last week. I don’t know where Ozzy Osbourne stood politically. Most likely, probably more on the liberal side of the fence. What if somebody would have come out and posted, yeah, great, one less lib out there now.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
They’d be fired. Exactly.
SPEAKER 06 :
Fired. So why should we allow herself to apologize her way back into her position? We shouldn’t. No. She needs to be fired. We shouldn’t. Because here’s the thing. That kind of comment, that comes from leftist rage. And somebody who has that kind of liberal leftist rage who could actually say that. mock the death of a good man like that, right? I understand. Let’s say he’s a mass murderer. Okay, yeah, good riddance, right? I don’t care. But Hulk Hogan lived a good life. He did nothing wrong to anybody. And now one less MAGA. I’m telling you what, nobody with her mindset should be allowed around kids.
SPEAKER 03 :
Agree. And that post that she put up on X, by the way, got all sorts of other nasty comments about Hulk Hogan and the fact that he creeped people out and this, that, and the other, and they never could understand why anybody liked the guy and blah, blah, blah. And it’s like, first of all, It’s entertainment, you idiots. There’s a lot of stuff that goes on in professional wrestling, which is, to Andy’s point, strictly entertainment. Yeah, it’s fun. Everybody has known that for years, that it’s not really that real. I mean, it’s real, but it’s scripted. We all know that. We know how it works. It’s a lot of fun. It’s a lot of entertainment. It’s no different than watching a soap opera or anything else that people enjoy doing, Andy. At the end of the day, it’s entertainment, correct? Correct. Yeah, it’s silly. It’s fun. Have fun. Relax. It’s sort of like, I’m trying to think of other type of entertainment where you pretty much know what the outcome’s going to be, but you watch it anyways.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right. And by the way, well, first of all, you’re watching guys who have muscled up to an incredible degree. That just impresses me.
SPEAKER 03 :
True.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, how big they’ve gotten in all this. And secondly, they’ve all gotten to where they do these long speeches. Yeah.
SPEAKER 17 :
They’re funny, too.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, they’re funny. It’s hilarious.
SPEAKER 17 :
They’re stupid.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s hilarious. Soap opera.
SPEAKER 17 :
It’s hilarious.
SPEAKER 06 :
Speeches.
SPEAKER 17 :
It’s all drama. It’s hilarious.
SPEAKER 06 :
And they say they were going to do this to me.
SPEAKER 17 :
I’ve been wanting to have my… All you little Hulksters out there.
SPEAKER 06 :
All you little Hulksters out there.
SPEAKER 17 :
You get up there and do all sorts of stuff.
SPEAKER 03 :
It was a blast. When Richard was a little boy, we would watch The Hulk all the time. It was great. We loved it. It was fun. It was entertainment, to your point.
SPEAKER 06 :
Did you use that to force Richard into being a man?
SPEAKER 03 :
I guess so.
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, my goodness.
SPEAKER 03 :
We had a blast. You’re so abusive. We loved that stuff back in the day.
SPEAKER 06 :
But anyway, these Libby’s, they got to relax. But I’m telling you what, such a hateful comment like that teacher did. You should not be able to apologize your way back into a job. And the reason is there’s no way they would allow anyone on the right to apologize their way back into a job.
SPEAKER 03 :
Good point, Andy. No way. No, good point. I mean, I can’t disagree with you on that. And again, I talked about this yesterday. It goes back to my comment, and Andy wasn’t here, but I know he’ll agree with what I’m going to say. I said this numerous times yesterday, pointing directly to those that are listening that are on the left. You guys and gals on the left. continually proof over and over and over again as to how much you really don’t care for people, period. No. You claim to care for everybody, especially the little guy. Reality is you don’t care about anybody.
SPEAKER 06 :
John, liberalism is all about control, okay? Once again, we talked about this before.
SPEAKER 03 :
We got a minute. You’re fine. Take your time.
SPEAKER 06 :
If a conservative doesn’t want to smoke, what do they do?
SPEAKER 03 :
Don’t smoke.
SPEAKER 06 :
If a liberal doesn’t want to smoke, what do they do?
SPEAKER 03 :
You don’t smoke.
SPEAKER 06 :
They ban smoking. You see what I’m saying? If a conservative doesn’t want to drive, wants to drive an electric car, what do they do? They drive an electric car. If a liberal wants it, they want to force everybody to drive electric cars. And so on and so forth. It goes right across. Liberalism is… I always tell people conservatism is this statement. I want to control my own life, not yours. Liberalism is this statement. I want to control your life, not mine. And the reason I bring that up is this. You can’t control people and love them. Nope. You can’t want to control everybody and still love them. Why? Because the whole reason you want to control them is you disapprove of them. They disapprove of people they’re full of hate.
SPEAKER 03 :
Really quick, going back to the kid, the parenting example. Those of you that are all parents will understand exactly what I’m going to say here. You get to a point in time with a kid to where, yes, when kids are little, you are, in a way, you love them and you’re controlling them. Control really isn’t the right word. You’re disciplining them. You’re making sure that they make right choices. You’re trying to guide them along the path of life. As they get older, though, 14, 15, 16, 17 years of age even, what you do then as a parent is you don’t control. If you really love them, you start allowing them to make some decisions on their own and then reap the consequences for whatever that decision might be, good, bad, or otherwise. That’s loving them. That’s taking control away, giving them more freedom, allowing them to make some decisions on their own, Andy, so that at the end of the day, they become better adults.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right. You’re being God in the garden. You’re saying eat from this tree, reward. Eat from that tree, consequence.
SPEAKER 03 :
But at the end of the day, you make your own decision, Billy. But you choose the tree. That’s right. And here’s the consequences as to what you choose at the end of the day. You know, stay out past curfew. Guess what? You’re not going out for the next two weeks.
SPEAKER 06 :
Liberalism is the philosophy of hate. I’m serious because it’s a philosophy of wanting to control everyone around you. You wouldn’t want to do that if you weren’t disapproving of them.
SPEAKER 03 :
You’re exactly right, Andy, 100%.
SPEAKER 06 :
I don’t approve of you unless you are more like me.
SPEAKER 03 :
I talked about some of this yesterday, and I spoke directly to those that are on the left because I know lefties listen to me on a regular basis, and the reality is everything Andy is saying is absolutely right. That’s exactly the way liberalism works. You want to control everybody else. I say it this way even, Andy. They want to control you so in turn they think their life will be better. Right. They’re selfish. This is all about me, not you. Absolutely. I want to control you so that at the end of the day, my life is better.
SPEAKER 06 :
John, why do you think almost all violence is committed by the left? That’s right. The vast majority. Baltimore is not being shot up by young Republicans.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
And part of that reason, Andy, is because as a Republican, I look at you and say, you know what? To make my life better, I want you to have all the freedom that you want. At the end of the day, as long as you’re not bothering me, I’m good with that. Have fun. Yeah, live your life. Live your life. Go enjoy yourself. Right. We don’t care. Have fun.
SPEAKER 06 :
You could be trans. Just don’t change in front of my daughter.
SPEAKER 03 :
yeah and by the way you see what i’m saying and where i don’t impose on others and where i have a problem is like we just talked about that last story is when you’re a parent allowing kids to do that by saying we’re just following their lead well now you’re another i’ve lost all respect for you because you’re a well now you’re not taking responsibility no you’re not you’re you’re a dope yeah sorry i have no other way to say it you’re just a dope Mile High Coin coming up next. SPEAKER 03 :
Now, back to Rush to Reason. Actually, when you do that to your kids, I kind of yell a little bit.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, yeah, but you’ve got to understand.
SPEAKER 03 :
Because that just boils my blood.
SPEAKER 06 :
When you say you’re not controlling that kid, oh, yes, you are. That kid has a whole society which is in this final sliver of mankind’s history that is totally different from the rest of it affecting that kid.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right.
SPEAKER 06 :
You’re not freeing the kid.
SPEAKER 03 :
No.
SPEAKER 06 :
You’re enslaving them.
SPEAKER 03 :
You’re actually, yeah, you’re now screwing that kid up for the remainder of his life. Right. Thank you. Shame on you, by the way.
SPEAKER 06 :
Shame on you.
SPEAKER 03 :
Andy and myself signing off. Have a great night. Charlie Grimes as well. You guys be safe out there. This is Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560.
