Explore the controversial subject of political inaccuracies and false predictions dating back decades. Through engaging discussions with guests, the episode highlights the impact of these dramatized forecasts in today’s political landscape, all while unraveling how individuals and media have manipulated these outdated views to sway public perception for various agendas.
SPEAKER 19 :
This is Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 18 :
You are going to shut your damn yapper and listen for a change because I got you pegged, sweetheart. You want to take the easy way out because you’re scared. And you’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only you to blame. Let me break this down for you. Life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes.
SPEAKER 19 :
With your host, John Rush.
SPEAKER 24 :
My advice to you is to do what your parents did! Get a job, Turk! You haven’t made everybody equal. You’ve made them the same and there’s a big difference.
SPEAKER 25 :
Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life. That there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
SPEAKER 11 :
Are you crazy? Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?
SPEAKER 15 :
It’s Rush to Reason with your host, John Rush, presented by Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning.
SPEAKER 17 :
Filling in is Andy Pate, party of choice. And welcome to hour number three. I’m Andy Pate filling in for John Rush here on Rush to Reason, KLZ 560. On the line right now, we got Jersey Joe. Joe, what do you have for me today?
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, since today is Earth Day, Andy, I thought I’d start off with some predictions from the first Earth Day, which was May 22, 1970.
SPEAKER 17 :
No, those aren’t predictions. Those are guarantees. They all came true.
SPEAKER 14 :
And these are all by people with PhDs. They’ve got doctor in front of their name. They’re PhDs. Oh, they’re smart. They’re very smart people. So let’s start with Harvard biologist George Wald, who estimated that, and this quote, and he said this in 1972, Civilization will end within 15 or 30 years, which would be by 1985 or 2000, unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind. Another one. Population will inevitably and completely outstrip whatever small increases in food supplies we make, said Paul Ehrlich, promptly declared. The death rate will increase until at least 100 to 200 million people per year will be starving to death, during the next 10 years, which would have been by 1980.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, and by the way, Ehrlich is always mentioned as an expert. He was always mentioned as an expert on all these cable TV shows.
SPEAKER 14 :
It was incredible. So he predicted that by 1980, 100 to 200 million people per year would be starving to death. Oh, okay. Let’s see. He goes on, Paul Ehrlich again. He said, by 1975, experts feel that food shortages will have escalated the present level of world hunger and starvation into famines of unbelievable proportions. Go on. Let’s see. I’ll skip that one.
SPEAKER 17 :
That totally happened. Did you know, Joe, that you and I are the only people left on Earth?
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 17 :
They’re all dead. And Charlie. And Charlie. Well, it’s a good thing Charlie’s here. We have no listeners. Just the three of us. Okay. Just the three of us. Yeah. I mean, we’re all that’s left. Everybody else starved out.
SPEAKER 14 :
Go ahead. All right. Here’s another one. Peter Gunther, North Texas State University professor, Ph.D., wrote in 1970, Demographers agree almost unanimously on the following grim timetable. By 1975, which was just five years, widespread famines will begin in India. These will spread by 1990 to include all of India, Pakistan, China, Near East Africa by the year 2000, and conceivably sooner, South and Central America will exist under famine conditions by the year 2000, which is just 30 years from now. The entire world, with the exception of Western Europe, North America, will be in famine. Uh… Oh, by 19’s Life magazine, scientists have solid experimental and theoretical evidence to support that in a decade, urban dwellers will have to wear gas masks to survive air pollution. By 1985, air pollution will have reduced the amount of sunlight reaching the Earth by half. ecologist kenneth watt at the present rate of nitrogen buildup it’s only a matter of time before light will be filtered out of the atmosphere and none of our land will be arable for growing crops every one of these people has phds i just want to remind people of what you said earlier every one of these people spent at least a decade getting their degrees to to espouse this garbage go ahead yep barry commoner predicted that decaying organic pollutants in our in our uh in our waters would use up all the oxygen in America’s rivers, causing all freshwater fish to suffocate and die. Let’s see. I’ll go skip over that one. Here’s another one. Kenneth Watts again. By the year 2000, if present trends continue, we will be using up crude oil at such a rate that there won’t be any more crude oil left. Wow. By the way, crude oil is currently at record highs, by the way. Harrison Brown, a scientist at the National Academy of Scientists, published a chart in Scientific American that looked at the metal reserves on the planet, and he estimated that humanity would totally run out of copper shortly after 2000, and that lead, zinc, tin, and gold, silver would all be gone by 1990. Only got three left. Senator Gaylord Nelson wrote a letter to the Secretary of the Smithsonian Institute that he believes somewhere in the 25 years between 75% and 80% of the species of living animals on the planet will be extinct. No wonder I feel so lonely. Go ahead. That’s right. And one more. Kenneth Watts, again, warned about a pending ice age. He said, the world has been chilling sharply for about 20 years, he declared. If the present trends continue, the world would be about 4 degrees colder for the global mean temperature by 1990, but 11 degrees colder in the year 2000. That is twice what it would take to put us into the next ice age.
SPEAKER 17 :
You know, what’s amazing is you did all of those without using any of Al Gore’s predictions, which were hilarious.
SPEAKER 14 :
Those were hilarious, too. But, no, I just thought I’d just go from that list because Al Gore basically based a lot of his on that. Of course, Al Gore talked about the polar ice caps being gone by 2005 or something. And, of course, they’re still there. And, actually, in the Arctic, they’re actually growing now. But, you know, Al Gore had his own.
SPEAKER 17 :
Now, are they growing in the Arctic or the Antarctic now? Because I know there was a time when they were shrinking in the Arctic but growing in the Antarctic, and now I think it’s switched.
SPEAKER 14 :
Last I looked, they were growing in the Arctic, but I haven’t checked in probably about nine months, so I could be wrong, but The point is they’re still there. Al Gore said they’d all be gone. Both of them would be gone. So anyway.
SPEAKER 17 :
Let me just say it. What an idiot. How do these people? And what amazes me is that these people have political followings of a party that numbers over 100 million. OK, it just blows my mind that this many people support these lunatics and they actually can win elections. Joe, I know they win elections and control our lives. Go ahead.
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, that’s what I’m going to actually get to that a little later on. I’m going to talk about Thomas. Well, I’m going to play a quote from Nick Freitas, who’s a delegate to the Virginia legislature. He’s a former Greenbrae. I’m going to play a quote that speaks to that. But first, I want to go into something truly stupid now.
SPEAKER 17 :
OK, I’m up for that.
SPEAKER 14 :
Last week, we talked about the what was that they wanted to stop using the name. I’m drawing a blank here, Andy. I don’t know who they is. Hang on. Oh, the Spartans. In Long Island, some of the parents filed suit in Long Island against a high school that their team name for decades has been the Spartans. And they filed suit claiming they should be dropped because Spartans, of course, were the Greek warriors. And they claim that Spartans represents white supremacy. Right. Oh, well, Michigan State’s in trouble, but go ahead. Michigan, right. So we go back again to Long Island. So there’s a town in Long Island called Massapequa, which, by the way, is an Indian name because Long Island was originally settled by Indians. And Massapequa is what the Indians used to call that area. And four years ago, the New York State Board of Regents, now this isn’t a law passed by the legislature. This was just a regulation that the New York State Board of Regents adopted. And they decided that no school in the state could use the name or image of any indigenous tribe. Well, the Massapequa sports teams have for decades called themselves the Chiefs. And all of their teams, you know, the helmets and then their jerseys have the symbol of an Indian chief. While the New York State Board of Education is suing them to force them to get a court order, an injunction, forcing them to drop it. And they’re appealing to President Trump to fight back because this is not a law. This is just a regulation. So that’s the stupidest thing I’ve heard all week. again, out of Long Island, two in a row.
SPEAKER 17 :
It blows my mind that these people, meanwhile, they’re running New York into the ground, and everybody with money is leaving, so they’re losing taxpayers left and right, and all they’ve got is tax users. And so what do they decide to focus on? This.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yep. By the way, California and New York are one and two in terms of the states with the greatest net population loss.
SPEAKER 17 :
I know.
SPEAKER 14 :
One and two. Awful. And by the way, in New York State, and particularly New York City, also has the highest state income tax rates in the country. And New York City, of course, has a city tax on top of the state income tax. So we’ll go there. Oh, and as long as you brought up California. Yes. California has passed a law where if you get stopped for speeding, that the amount of your speeding ticket will be based on your income. Did you know that, Andy?
SPEAKER 17 :
Yes, I’ve heard this.
SPEAKER 14 :
Now, and the way they got around it, there’s something in the Constitution. I said there’s something called equal protection. And the way they got around it, they didn’t say, well, if you’re rich, we’re going to charge you more. They set these ridiculously high fines and then they add a thing. But if you’re poor, we’re going to apply a discount.
SPEAKER 17 :
Right. Which means if you’re rich, you’re charged more.
SPEAKER 14 :
If you’re rich, you’re going to pay the full boat. But if you but if you qualify for any sort of government assistance or Medicaid or You know, food stamps, your income’s low.
SPEAKER 17 :
So what they’re doing is they’re saying, you know, we’re going to make it cheaper to break the law for most of you. Right. So go ahead and break the law. It’ll be cheaper for you. But, you know, if these people over here break the law, it’ll cost more.
SPEAKER 14 :
What they’re basically saying to the wealthy people or to pay the majority taxes, they’re basically saying, get out. That’s what they’re saying.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah. Get out. And they’re just going to leave. Just kidding. Hey, Joe, has California gone through – because the big thing with New York City especially is that they’ve lost so many billionaires and millionaires. They’re losing the people who are footing the bill. California has lost an awful lot of people. Is it the same type? Are they losing a lot of the rich taxpayers who have had enough?
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah, because when you look at where some of that – in addition to the census data, I think it’s United Van Line every year publishes their – list of outflow versus inflow. And of course, United Van Lines also rank New York and California one and two. And who uses United Van Line? If you’re lower income, middle income, then you’re going to move, particularly if you’re only going to move from one town to another, you get a U-Haul. You don’t hire United Van Lines. I moved from Colorado to New Jersey, and I think it cost me $12,000. to move from, you know. So the typical middle-class family, if they’re just moving from one house to another, isn’t going to spend $12,000. No. So the people who are using United Van Line, these are the people who are paying the lion’s share of the taxes in California. And those are the ones that got the message loud and clear. California wants us out. We’re leaving. By the way, the state income tax rate in California, I believe, is close to 13. I think it’s 12.5%. Oh, my gosh. And in some of the cities like L.A., the sales tax rate is 9.5 percent, almost 10 percent.
SPEAKER 17 :
You know, I’m not going to go live there. Just so you know, I am not going to go live in L.A. Hey, let’s take a break. We’ll be back with more Jersey Joe. Up next is Kevin Fleshlaw. Fleshlaw, that’s Kevin Flesh, F-L-E-S-C-H. He’s ready for court because unlike so many lawyers, he spends time in court all the time. So many lawyers don’t anymore. Call Fleshlaw at 303-806-8886 or you can go to Fleshlawfirm.com.
SPEAKER 10 :
Here’s why you need personal injury attorney Kevin Flesch on your side. He understands the way the jury thinks. In the context of a personal injury case, you’ve been hurt by someone else’s negligence. The idea is that you’re going to try to recover so that you can get back to where you were just prior to that incident occurring. What that really means from a jurist’s perspective is that you’re going to be asking them to award you money. So when we talk about fairness, we’re talking about six people that you don’t know. Those six people view the evidence and make a unanimous decision that will decide what the fair value is. When you’re the one who’s hurt, you have a good idea of what you think it’s worth. The question is, can you persuade those other individuals whom you don’t know and were witnesses to believe that’s what the case is worth? Kevin Flesch understands the way the jury thinks. Call now for a free consultation. 303-806-8886

Putting reason into your afternoon drive, this is John Rush.
SPEAKER 17 :
Welcome back to Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLC 560. Andy Pate filling in for John Rush. And on the line right now we have Jersey Joe. Joe, before you continue, how can people hear your stuff?
SPEAKER 14 :
If I’ve got a weekly podcast that runs about 30 minutes, you can find it on my website at jerseyjoe.com. That’s J-E-R as in Robert, Z as in zebra, E-E, J-E-R-Z-E-E, jerseyjoe.com. If you want to get put on my distribution list, because once a week I actually mail it out. I’ve got 50, 60 people want to just get it in their inbox. So if you want to be put on my distribution list, just email me to joe at jerseyjoe.com. Just remember to spell Jersey, J-E-R. Z-E-E, jerseyjoe.com, and I will put you on my distribution list so you can get it. Okay, what do you got? By the way, before I move on, just a quick, I’ve got a movie question for you. Did you ever review The Accountant?
SPEAKER 17 :
You know, I did not. I did not review The Original Accountant, and here I’m seeing the sequel day after tomorrow.
SPEAKER 14 :
Because I just saw the original with Ben Affleck on Netflix, and I enjoyed it immensely. It was far different than what I initially thought. It was just something about some CPA on the run from the mob, but completely different. And I enjoyed it immensely. And I’m wondering how I missed it. But, again, the original accountant, which the sequel is coming out in a couple of days, I highly recommend the accountant. It’s kind of like an autistic John Wick. Oh, really? Oh, yeah. Ben Affleck plays a kid that was grown up autistic, but his father was an army colonel. He had a brother, and he taught him how to defend himself against bullies. Well, it turns out that he’s now very successful. He’s OCD, and he gets hired by these mobs and drug cartels to audit their books and find out who’s ripping them off. And then he winds up on the run fighting for his life. But anyway, so, yeah, The Accountant with Ben Affleck. It’s an action flick.
SPEAKER 17 :
I’m looking forward to this one. I really am.
SPEAKER 14 :
So, all right. By the way, if you have Netflix, I would urge you to watch the original before you watch the sequel, because there’s so much in the original that carries into the sequel. So if you have time, watch the original. Anyway. Okay. You want to talk about socialism? Heck yeah. All right. Well, I’ve got a clip of a guy named Nick Freitas, who’s a delegate to the Virginia House of Commons. He’s also got a huge following on the Internet. Former Green Beret, and by the way, he started with his own septic tank business in Virginia, fixing people’s septic tanks, but incredibly well-spoken. And he answers, in this clip, a young lady, maybe she’s 18, 19, asks him the question about socialism. And before we play that clip, I just want to do a quote from Thomas Sowell, the economist. And he said, one of the most important reasons for studying history is that virtually every stupid idea that is in vogue today has been tried before, and has proved disastrous time and time again. And we all know that. And Nick Frietas, it’s F-R-E-I-T-A-S if you want to Google him. He’s got a bunch of TikTok. I don’t know if it’s Instagram or TikTok, but Nick Frietas. Can we play that clip of Nick answering this question? Here we go.
SPEAKER 21 :
I do think that communists and socialists keep trying to implement these systems into countries even when they keep failing time and time again. Is it just because they want power or they’re actually seeking that perfect utopia or what?
SPEAKER 07 :
C.S. Lewis says that it might actually be better to live under greedy robber barons than it is perpetual moral busybodies. He goes, the robber baron, the person that is motivated by greed or a lust for power, they may at some point have that desire satiated. He goes, but the person that torments you for your own good will do so without end because they do it with the approval of their own conscience. When I read Gramsci, when I read Herbert Marcuse, when I read Foucault, when I read Simone de Beauvoir… There seems to be a common trend. A disdain for God because God represents a power and authority outside of themselves. A disdain for objective reality because God makes objective reality possible. And then there’s no objective morality. So if you’re rebelling against reality itself and your goal is to be your own God, you can come up with a thousand different ways to justify whatever you’re doing to include what you’re doing to other people. And if they’re the ones standing in the way of this great utopia that we’re going to create because they haven’t fully embraced the ideas the way they should, well, then we’ll be happy to reeducate them or imprison them or enslave them or kill them because ultimately they’re the ones standing in the way of utopia.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay, Joe, go ahead. Had you ever heard Nick speak before? No, I had not. I agree with every word he just said. Look, I was raised, as you know, I was raised in a family that believes all those things, and I love my family. They’re wonderful. But they were in academia, and they believe in all the economics of the left, and they believe that that is being more caring. The problem is, is because they believe it is being more caring, they believe that there is no end, no upper limit to the amount of
SPEAKER 14 :
control and force they can put over other people in enforcing that yeah the first time i heard that my reaction was was wow just wow and what he said about robber barons versus socialists you know he said yeah robber robber barons can eventually become become satiated yeah he said but but people who want to impose their will and will always find something else they want to control there’s no end to their lust for power and control over others um and we see that daily you know whether it be changing the name of your sports teams or bike lanes or what you can smoke or, you know, where you can smoke or what gun you can own.
SPEAKER 17 :
Do you think it even extends into moral issues like, you know, wanting to force you to have, you know, men in girls’ locker rooms? You know, stuff like that. Stuff that’s ludicrous because right now we look at the Democrat Party and we think, oh my gosh, they’ve utterly derailed and they have. But in every area where they’ve derailed, they’ve derailed because they’re trying to control people and make them be unnatural. They’re looking at family. You know, it’s natural for parents to parent. So they stop that.
SPEAKER 14 :
And they say, if you don’t parent our way, we’re going to punish you.
SPEAKER 17 :
They want to force parents. girls to have biological boys in the locker room with them i mean just thing after thing after thing they want to control people’s lives and it seems like there’s no upper end it just gets weirder and weirder and i forget which state it is and maybe it’s more than one where now parents uh can be uh cited criminally if they tell their little boy who wants to be a girl that no you’re a boy you’re not a girl oh yeah that could be used against you here in colorado now
SPEAKER 14 :
Right. You can actually have your child taken away from you if you tell your little boy that, no, he’s a little boy and he’s not a little girl and we’re not going to call you Sally. I mean, there’s just no way. And by the way, I just sent a clip. It was kind of a latecomer. I don’t know if it’s teed up yet, but on that issue of… Not yet. Okay. But maybe later on, there’s a clip, a Senate hearing where a Republican senator, and I can’t quote his name right now, basically says the Democrats have no more platform. It’s all about pushing these insane liberal ideas. So Maybe after the next break we can play it. But anyway, Nick Freitas, if you enjoyed that clip as much as I did, I urge you to Put them on, you know, follow Nick again at F-R-E-I-T-A-S.
SPEAKER 17 :

SPEAKER 17 :
And welcome back to Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560, Andy Pate filling in for John Rush. On the line, we’ve got Jersey Joe. Joe, we have that clip ready.
SPEAKER 14 :
Now, this is Senator Eric Schmidt from Missouri. And I have to warn you, it’s on a loop. So if you don’t stop it when he finishes, it’s going to continue. So you’ve got to be ready to stop it unless Charlie has edited it out.
SPEAKER 17 :
Charlie is a very alert fellow. He will do so.
SPEAKER 14 :
All right. And anyway, so he’s talking about how the Democrats have lost their way and that their entire platform now is all about violence and pro Hamas. Anyway, so this is Senator Eric Schmidt, uh, giving his four minute rant about the, how the Democrat party has lost its way.
SPEAKER 17 :
Love it. Here we go.
SPEAKER 05 :
I mean, I do find it interesting that my Democrat colleagues, um, are, are, are so enraged by this, uh, non-story and had nothing to say when we had a president who literally couldn’t put two sentences together for two years. President Autopin was the commander-in-chief. No questions about his inability to construct sentences, let alone foreign policy. But here we are with a fake story. But this is what happens when you have a party that has reached actually not rock bottom yet. Not rock bottom yet. But they got nothing. Nothing. Zero. No issues. No leader. Fringe issues define them. So they’re going to glom onto the story of the day. And quite frankly, it’s embarrassing for them. Just like, by the way, these calls to come out against violence. The only thing, district court rulings, the only thing that’s been talked about are political solutions. The only person I remember standing in front of the Supreme Court calling for a whirlwind of on Justice Kavanaugh and other Supreme Court justices that were followed up by assassination attempts of Supreme Court justices, that were followed up by violent protests outside their homes, where they had to move out of their homes, was Chuck Schumer. And as long as we’re denouncing violence, how about firebombing Tesla dealerships? This… Antarctic kind of strain runs through the left. And to my Democrat friends, I feel bad for you because your party has been captured by a radical element. that is pro-Hamas, that is pro-violence, that is firebombing Tesla dealerships because they don’t like that Elon Musk has actually found the grift out and is cutting it out. The NGOs that have laundered money for Democrat causes for years, it’s all coming to an end and they don’t know how to handle it. So, thank you, Mr. Chairman.
SPEAKER 17 :
You heard that before, Randy? I’ve not heard that. I’ve always liked Eric Schmidt, though, so that’s really cool. Thanks for playing that.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 17 :
And he’s so right because they become lunatics. You know, think back just you go back 20, 30, 40 years. OK, the Democrat Party back then. First of all, they didn’t at least openly hate America. They were for the they were for the working man. They were for the unions. They were for things like this. They were not for changing your sexuality. OK, or your sexual identity. I’m sorry. Changing who you are. They weren’t for any of these weird things. And now they are.
SPEAKER 14 :
And they’re very violent. They’re part of the blue collar. But now they’ve turned off most of the blue collar because most of the blue collar. And I trust I’ve got a lot of friends who are union pipe fitters, union electricians. They’re all completely turned off because they all embrace basically, you know, traditional family values. I want to move on to one of my favorite senators of all time, which is Senator John Kennedy. Love him. Now, Senator John Kennedy, Republican, he comes across like a country buff. He’s got this slow country drawl. He’s a Harvard Law School graduate. Anyway, here’s a Senate hearing, and he’s questioning this George Washington School of Law professor named Dr. Mary Franks. And if you want to find the video, by the end of his questions, she’s literally squirming in her chair. Anyway, so let’s go on to Senator John Kennedy from Louisiana. Here we go.
SPEAKER 12 :
Professor Franks, let me ask you, I listened to your and Ms. Hemingway’s testimony and Professor Turley’s, so I got part of it. As I understand it, your position, Professor Franks, is that I think you used the word myth. It is a myth that the Biden administration used government to compel speech, private speech, but that the Trump administration is doing that. Is that a fair characterization?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yes, that’s correct.
SPEAKER 12 :
OK. Do you think perhaps you’re allowing your personal political beliefs to affect your objectivity here?
SPEAKER 09 :
No, I do not. What is guiding my answers here is that I’m looking to see what the Supreme Court has said. You notice that in the testimony about the censorship industrial complex. I got that part. I just want to clarify.
SPEAKER 12 :
No, but I’ve only got five minutes. Your answer is no, as I appreciate it. Let me ask you a couple questions. You wrote a Law Review article in December of 2023 for the New York University Law Review, and it was about the two cases, Bruin, Supreme Court case, and Dobbs. Remember that article?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yes, I do.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. In this article, you said, I’m going to quote your words. Taken together, these two cases demonstrate that the Supreme Court has embraced the use of the Constitution as a tool of racial patriarchy, end quote. Did you say that?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. And then you went on to say, quote, when the Supreme Court declares that there is a constitutional right to armed self-defense in public, It openly embraces and promotes a culture that privileges white men’s ability to terrorize and kill those that they perceive as threats. Close quote. Did I read that correctly?
SPEAKER 09 :
I believe so. Thank you for reading.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. And did you also say in that article, I’m going to quote again, quote, by simultaneously expanding white men’s right to kill and constricting women’s right not to die, this Supreme Court, referring to the current United States Supreme Court, has turned the Constitution into a homicide pact as well, close quote. Did you write that?
SPEAKER 09 :
That sounds like me.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. In November of 2024. You tweet, don’t you?
SPEAKER 09 :
I’m not sure what the current terminology is for it, but yes, I am sometimes on the social platform that was formerly known as Twitter.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, you’re on a lot, aren’t you?
SPEAKER 09 :
I’m not sure what the relevance of that is.
SPEAKER 12 :
You try to be provocative on there, don’t you?
SPEAKER 09 :
Again, I’m not sure what the relevance of this question is.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, let me show you the relevance. On November 7th, 2024, from your tweet. Here’s one of your tweets at 2.41 p.m., quote, the majority of Americans hate women. The majority of Americans hate women more than they love anything, including democracy, close quote. Did I read that correctly?
SPEAKER 09 :
I am not sure what this has to do with the subject matter of this. Did you say it? I do not have those words in front of me. I probably said something along those lines, but what is the relevance of that to this theory? Yeah, you said it. Here it is.
SPEAKER 12 :
Biggest Dallas right there. Yes. But your political beliefs don’t impact your feelings about President Biden or President Trump.
SPEAKER 09 :
I don’t have feelings about either of them.
SPEAKER 12 :
To me, like you have your favorite feeling is anger. Let me ask you this. You issued another tweet. This was in May of 2022. You’ve just been tweeting up a storm. You said, quote, There’s a reason why the conservative-dominated Supreme Court thinks the Constitution does not contain a right to an abortion, but is convinced that it contains an individual right to possess firearms. And that reason is white male supremacy, close quote.
SPEAKER 09 :
Did I read that correctly? Is there a question in this? Did I read that correctly? Is there a question that is relevant to this hearing?
SPEAKER 12 :
Did I read that correctly? Do you really think that the United States Supreme Court, you’re an officer of the court, is guided by white male supremacy?
SPEAKER 09 :
I believe. that the First Amendment prohibits the president and other state officials for punishing people for their sins.
SPEAKER 12 :
Did you honestly say that, Professor? And you expect us, as a Democratic witness, to take you seriously? Are you kidding me? I believe that you should take the First Amendment seriously, sir. You’ve heard of curb your enthusiasm? Here’s my saying, curb my nausea. I believe that you should take the First Amendment seriously.
SPEAKER 05 :
The time has expired. Thank you. Senator Durbin.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay, that was an absolute slaying of her credibility. And that’s what he was doing. And she’s like, this has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Yes, it does, because we are supposed to consider you an expert on the topic at hand. Right. You are a lunatic.
SPEAKER 14 :
And near the end, she kept trying to not answer his very simple question. Right. Well, is there a question there? He said, yes, I just asked you the question. There was a question. And, well, I don’t see the relevance of that. In other words, this is where she starts to squirm in her chair. Now, remember, she’s a full professor at George Washington School of Law. She is teaching the next generation of lawyers, who, by the way, many of whom will go into politics and undoubtedly go into politics and join the Democrat Party. This is who is providing their shaping them in the future. And that’s why we have so many liberal politicians, people, professors like her.
SPEAKER 17 :
So I tell you what, first of all, I love Kennedy. And secondly, she’s a lunatic. And anybody who has views like that should, I mean, Hey, they can speak freely. Okay. They can be a test. They can testify anywhere. They just shouldn’t be taken seriously. How can you take somebody with lunatic views like that? Seriously, period ever.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah, she said the Supreme Court has given white men, they’ve given them the right to walk down the street to kill people they don’t like. They did no such thing, by the way. By the way, Bruin was the landmark gun decision that said states cannot deny people the right to acquire a concealed carry permit. And, of course, Dobbs was the decision that overturned Roe v. Wade. So she was saying that, you know, on one hand, we’re giving white men the ability to kill indiscriminately killed people. black men which the decision did nothing of the sort by the way right and then you know and yet we’re forcing white women to die were fought because they can’t get an abortion. That’s how extreme she is.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, people like that. Look, and I would say this, Joe, of somebody on my side. If somebody on my side says ludicrous things, I would say they should be brushed off. They should be written off. Nobody should take anything they say seriously. Well, Andy, how can you say that? They’re a good Republican and they believe the things you do. Yeah, but they’re a loon. There are loons who can believe right things now and then. OK, but if you’re a loon, you shouldn’t be testifying anywhere. You should be committed.
SPEAKER 14 :
Nor should you be teaching young people. No, you shouldn’t. And that’s what scares me about because she’s not alone. She’s just she’s one of thousands, Andy, who are, you know, proliferating through our higher education system. And appreciate when you send your kids to college, particularly a liberal college. That’s the type of thing they’re going to be hearing from their profession.
SPEAKER 17 :
That person is making big money being paid by huge tuition to push that kind of garbage. That right there, you know, to me, that’s a crime. Okay, I’m sorry. You can say, well, it’s legal. Well, it’s a legal crime then. I’m sorry, but how can you have somebody with views like that making huge money at a place like Georgetown pushing that kind of filth? on young people. And by the way, those young people, they were required to go in and get good scores in her class to graduate.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah, if you don’t see that in her tests and essays, you know, her view of the world, you know, you’re going to get an F on your paper.
SPEAKER 17 :

It’s time to leave your safe space. This is Rush to Reason on KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 17 :
And welcome back to Rush to Reason. Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Andy Pate filling in for John Rush online. We got Jersey Joe. Joe, what else you got?
SPEAKER 14 :
We’re not going to fit them all in, but let’s go with Bill Maher. Now, for those who don’t know Bill Maher, he started life as a comedian, very ultra-liberal. Then he got his own talk show host. Very bright guy, ultra-liberal. But in the past couple of weeks… A couple of weeks ago he came out with a video where he was slamming Democrats. And last week he came out with a video where he tells about his dinner with Donald Trump and how he was stunned about how reasonable and logical and personable Donald Trump was one-on-one. And by the way, he’s getting ostracized by the liberals for not slamming Donald Trump. So let’s play Bill Maher telling about he met Donald Trump for dinner in Florida at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home.
SPEAKER 27 :
And I don’t remember exactly what we were talking about, but it must have been something with the 2020 election, because I know he used the word lost. And I distinctly remember saying, wow, I never thought I’d hear you say that. He didn’t get mad. He’s much more self-aware than he lets on in public. Look, I get it. It doesn’t matter who he is at a private dinner with a comedian. It matters who he is on the world stage. I’m just taking it as a positive that this person exists, because everything I’ve ever not liked about him was, I swear to God, absent, at least on this night with this guy. Bob, Kid Rock, told me the night before, he said, if you want to get a word in edgewise, you’re going to have to cut him off. He’ll just go on. Not at all. I’ve had so many conversations with prominent people who are much less connected. People who don’t look you in the eye. People who don’t really listen because they just want to get to their next thing. People whose response to things you say just doesn’t track like, what? None of that was him. And he mostly steered the conversation to what do you think about this? I know your mind is blown. So is mine.
SPEAKER 17 :
That’s hilarious.
SPEAKER 14 :
So, again, Donald Trump is not the monster that everybody’s made him out to be. And you can’t get more liberal than Bill Maher. But Bill Maher is is just, you know, he’s coming around and he’s paying the price for it. He’s getting a lot of hate. So how much time we got? We’re running out of time. You got about three and a half. I’ve got it. Let’s play the quick clip about White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt. Love her. Answering a question about the SAVE Act, which is the Republican proposal to ensure that only citizens can register to vote. And she demolishes the Democrat claim. Is that the first?
SPEAKER 17 :
Charlie wants to know, is that the first or second clip you sent?
SPEAKER 14 :
It was the last clip, the second clip. Okay, here we go. Okay.
SPEAKER 22 :
Soon to be married women are concerned that the new voter ID requirements may inhibit their access to the polls. What assurances can you give women voters in America to ease their concerns?
SPEAKER 01 :
Sure. Well, the SAVE Act, as you mentioned, was passed by the House yesterday. This is the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act. I believe I’m getting that correct. And this act is a common sense measure. It would require proof of citizenship for voting in our elections. The Democrats have been fearmongering about this bill, have been saying that married woman, if their name has changed, they didn’t change it on their identification, would not be able to vote. That is complete fallacy. There are outline in the bill about how to avoid that. The president very much supports a common sense solution to ensuring that only citizens can engage in our elections. This is critical to improving the integrity of our elections and also the trust that American citizens need to have in our electoral process. So the president supports this bill and that is a myth that has been proven wrong by the text of this bill. And I believe some of the co-sponsors of the bill have been very vocal in addressing that. And certainly I myself as a married woman would not stand before this podium if their president did not support such a common sense measure.
SPEAKER 17 :
Joe, why would the Democrats want basically to be able to import the world so it can outvote us in our own country?
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, you just answered your own question, because if you can have unlimited voter fraud, they’re going to win every election. And the SAVE Act ensures that, hey, you have to prove you’re a citizen of the United States to register to vote in this country.
SPEAKER 17 :
All right, tell me this, because we’ve got about a minute left, and I want you to go off on this. How do you think this will affect 26 and 28? The more of this stuff goes in, does it become tougher for the Democrats?
SPEAKER 14 :
It does. And again, we talked yesterday, assuming that the economy writes itself the way I think it will. And by the way, the stock market was up huge today because apparently word has leaked out that more and more companies or countries are coming to the table to negotiate tariffs. So assuming that we come out of this the way Trump has predicted, and I believe the way it will end, I think we win big in 2026. And I just want to say one thing about Carolyn Levitt. On my website, I never, I would never play a clip. She said, well, you’ll see it in the text of the bill. I actually went to the, I found the text of the bill. I read the pages she talks about. She’s 100% correct. And if anybody wants to see that, if you go to my website, you’ll find the link not only to that video, but you’ll also see the link to the bill itself. And the bill is only about 18 pages. And you can actually see on pages six and seven where it describes how a recently married woman with a name change can still So I never play anything or post anything that I haven’t personally fact-checked. And if you want to see the fact-check, go to my website, JerseyJoe.com.
SPEAKER 17 :
So you don’t lie all the time like I thought you did? Nope.
SPEAKER 14 :
Only half the time. All right.
SPEAKER 17 :
Joe, thank you so much, man. We’ll talk to you next week. And, folks, that is it for today. Hour 1 replays next. And tomorrow, it’s Richard, Walt, and me with our annual NFL draft preview. It’s going to get crazy. We’re going to talk Broncos, Broncos, Broncos. It’s going to be fun. Until then, drive safe, God bless, and thanks for joining us at Rush to Reason, KLZ 560.
