I appreciate it. I’ve had you before. I appreciate you joining us. All right, so talk to us about this report that exposes how activist frameworks are quietly shaping school policy. We’ve had you on before and talked about this a little bit, but let’s get into a little bit more depth of this tonight.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes, sir. Happy to be back. It was a great conversation last time, and happy to get into more of the details here. So the school counselors hide in plain sight.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yep.
SPEAKER 04 :
All the indoctrination issues that parents have been fighting over the last five to seven years, whether it’s porn in schools, obviously the transgenderism is huge, the anti-racism, critical race theory, it’s all being delivered through mental health, which is the culture of the school. And the foot soldiers for those mental health programs are school counselors. Now, our report that you’re referencing is we exposed an organization called the American School Counselor Association or ASCA, ASCA. And this organization governs mental health in all 50 states. They provide training, professional development, certifications and all those kinds of things. And so whether you live in a red state or a blue state, it doesn’t matter. If you live in a red state and you search mental health from your Department of Education, you will find that they’ve spent quite literally tens of millions of dollars in mental health over the last 10 years. Now, when the schools take those grants, all they’re hiring is counselors that have been trained by ASCA. And so our report basically exposes them for exactly who they are, not for all the fluffy language that they try to use to fool parents.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. Now, I’ve got to tell everybody a little bit of a story that goes along the lines of what we’re talking about. And since the last time you and I talked, I have a friend, actually a part of one of my other shows that I do, and we were talking the other day, and it’s a lady, and she joined the PTA. And she said, you know, I joined the PTA because I really wanted to be involved with my kids and education and so on. She said, I had no idea. what I was really getting myself into, because at the end of the day, this has nothing to do about the kids. This is about the union. This is about other agendas. I mean, at the end of the day, you can’t get a word in edgewise when it comes to what we’re teaching the kids, because it’s all about politics and all the other nonsense that we shouldn’t be talking about. And she’s right, Alvin.
SPEAKER 04 :
She’s absolutely right. And you know what? It’s not even about politics. It’s lessening politics. If you teach children about politics, that’s fine because we all have to understand politics. Politics govern our life, our taxes, our crimes, our policies. And in fact, every time we step out, every time we wake up in the morning, politics affects our life. It’s how our money goes. It would be okay if it was about politics and then kids grow up to be educated. It’s not. It’s one direction. It’s a left-wing brainwashing.
SPEAKER 12 :
By the way, thank you for the correction. And frankly, that was one of the things that her and I were talking about. I said, yeah, I said, you know, I said it’s not only that – that you’re experiencing this and that there’s a lot more of politics and things like that. It’s even the type of politics that we’re talking about or the Marxist movement that has infiltrated schools years ago. And the reality is they’re not hiding it anymore, Alvin. They’re very out and open as to what their agenda is.
SPEAKER 04 :
They’re not hiding it at all, except that they are hiding it under the guise of mental health, anti-bullying, be kind, social-emotional learning. So they’re not hiding it in a sense that you can see it if you want to see it, but they also do a lot of gaslighting and deflection. And so our report, the AFCA report, basically destroys their gaslighting, destroys their, oh, it’s just about mental health and be kind and we just want to be inclusive. And so what we did was that report uses everything directly from ASCA, so nobody can accuse us of lying or, you know, right-wing conspiracy theories. We use literally their writing, their training, their ethics statements. And so the reason why the school counselors are so deceptive, they can hide in plain sight, is because most of the people listening to your show when they went to school they had something called guidance counselors and john these guidance counselors you only saw maybe once or twice during the time you’re in high school and they would help you with your ap classes or any kind of college exam uh forms or if you went to the military they help you with the the paperwork on there now back then they were what was referred to as reactive it’s a reactive role meaning that they only talk to you when you sought them out okay For academic purposes, but they were changed in 2014 by Michelle Obama’s Reach Higher initiative, and she deputized the counselors into school counselors, and they now call themselves social change agents. And so now they’ve become a proactive role. They don’t just sit there and help you with academics. Academics is quite literally zero in the school counselor initiative. They don’t talk about any of it. It’s all about proactive, meaning that they work with students one-on-one. And so now you cannot just have one or two counselors per high school. You need to have dozens. And then you got to put now you got to put them in middle schools and elementary schools. So when you go into your state education department website and you type in mental health, doesn’t matter where you live, even if you live in a red state and you see those mental health brands and those millions of dollars every year they spend, it goes to hire those counselors so that they can have more of them to work with your children. And they’re the biggest foot soldiers of transgenderism, keeping secrets from parents, anti-racist, anti-white, anti-America. That’s all they are. That is their entire mission. And again, you don’t have to take my word for it. Our report basically uses everything from their own writing. And that’s where they’re hiding it. And so that means that there’s a lot, you know, some red states have passed CRT bans, DIE bans in schools. I love that the states are doing it. However, in practice, in terms of a day-to-day practice, those bills largely haven’t done much.
SPEAKER 12 :
I was just going to say, do they really have any effect at the end of the day? Because unless I’m wrong, Alvin, what’s being pushed on that level that you’re talking about from… the counselors to teachers to so on you know if they’re all bought into this movement which by the way you know by and large a lot of them are i don’t know what the percentages are like alvin but i would venture to guess that on the public school level uh the people that we’re talking about 80 to 90 percent of those individuals have bought into that particular movement it really doesn’t matter what laws are passed that stuff’s going to get pushed regardless am i right
SPEAKER 04 :
You’re 100% right. It’s probably 90%. And the 10% that don’t buy into it are largely held captive by a lot of bullying, a lot of gaslighting, a lot of peer pressure. So I know obviously we work with school counselors and teachers who don’t believe in it, but they’re pretty isolated by the 90%. as you can understand. And so those laws don’t really do much at the end of the day, only because it can only kind of get out the real obvious things. So, for example, maybe the teachers can’t push like anti-racist book by Edmund Kendi. They can’t do it outright. So you’re like, OK, the bills, you know, kind of help with that. But it doesn’t really matter because it’s all coming in through mental health. And so the culture of the school is still swimming in this. And so even a red state that passes a CRT ban or a DEI ban in school will then turn around and put millions in mental health because they don’t understand that that is where the root causes. So while those bills are good kind of as a moral victory, and it is good that people are fighting back against it, if we don’t get ASCA… And that mental health out of schools, largely it won’t matter because your children are still swimming in it day to day. And it’s going through things like culturally responsive teaching, anti-bullying, be kind, mental health, social emotional learning. So all those things are still present in your child’s day to day life. And this is why we spent the last two and a half years really infiltrating ASCA. They are missionaries, and their children are their mission. Wow.

He is establishing, believe it or not, and I’ve got to figure out what the motive is here. Maybe Charlie will understand my dilemma here, but he is calling for replacing the Colorado Department of Higher Education with a new one-stop shop agency. I guess right now there’s 20 different offices in seven different agencies that oversee more than 100 offices. post-secondary education and training programs, and even he has said, this is just a mess. If I, as a governor, can’t even name those 22 programs, and how can we expect any Coloradan to figure out where they’re supposed to go to be able to get a better job and get the skills they need and so on? So even he understands that it’s a disaster. So some consolidation needs to happen to be able to, you know, basically make things easier to navigate and so on. So he’s going to call on legislatures to replace the Department of Higher Education with a new state agency that would provide a one stop shop opportunity. for all post-secondary education options. He’s going to include, by the way, trade organizations, trade colleges and so on, the trades, if you would, into all of this as well. So even a blind squirrel can find a nut every now and again, and that’s our Governor Polis. John from Cheyenne, you’re next. John, you calm down a little?

A couple of comments, Gus. What you said was correct, but I’m going to say this out loud over the air. I texted it to you earlier. Until the West realizes that Islam is an evil cult bent on world domination, these things are going to keep happening.
SPEAKER 12 :
Can’t argue that.
SPEAKER 03 :
And the And the basic thing, I don’t know if you saw a quote out of the British member of parliament, like one of our congressmen, said that we need this diversity because it helps us get along better. What kind of crap is that?
SPEAKER 12 :
That is a—well, that’s a Marxist, you know, basically, that’s somebody that’s trying to disguise what the Marxist movement is all about, because that’s what they believe. Because they know that that diversity, John, at the end of the day, doesn’t build unity, it actually builds division, and that’s what Marxism is all about.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right. But the other thing I was going to say is, we are letting people come into countries where they don’t allow Christianity— They don’t allow any religion but Islam. They they they they murder people who don’t believe or try to convert to Christianity. Right. And yet we’re letting them come here. At what point do we have to say enough is enough? We’re killing ourselves.
SPEAKER 12 :
Good question. And I think it’s – by the way, it’s a great question, one that we need to continue to ask and then answer. And again, John, I am not opposed to anybody coming here that has a different belief than I do. The problem we have with Islam – and I’ve said this many, many times on this program and I’ll keep saying it – the problem – the other problem we have, I guess, is what I should say to dovetail into what you’re saying is we have to start calling Islam what it is. It’s not a faith. It’s not a religion. I don’t believe it gets the same religious protections because it is not. It is a political ideology that is out to rule the world. It’s not a religion, John, until we recognize that as well as what you’re saying, basically dovetailing them together. Yeah, we have real problems because it’s not a religion. It’s a political ideology that is out to rule the world.
SPEAKER 03 :
I can’t argue with you there.
SPEAKER 12 :
And really quick, John, sorry, I want to add one more thing. Meaning what I just said, they don’t get the same religious protections and freedom of religion and so on that an actual religion gets because it’s not. So again, we’ve got to change the definition of what Islam is, because now they get all the same protections that Catholics and Mormons and Christians and so on get, and the reality is none of them are trying to take over the world. So we’ve got to change that definition, because until we do, we can’t do what you’re saying.
SPEAKER 03 :
It’s been about a millennia since Christians used force with their faith. It’s been about a thousand years. Maybe my math is a little off since the last crusade. And if you remember, the last crusade was to free Jerusalem from the Muslims. So if you go all the way back that far, but it’s, it’s got it. I don’t know at what point does it change? Um, there’s a lot of countries that don’t allow any exception to that rule because they want to dominate. If you go back and look historically, look at Iran before the Ayatollah and the Muslim insanity took over. And that was a very forward-looking country over there. I don’t know how bad the shawl was. I was a little young at that time, so I really don’t know. But it couldn’t have been any worse than the Ayatollah and the fanatics that now run that country, just as an example.
SPEAKER 12 :
By the way, Andy just texted and said, Poland won’t allow Muslims in, and the results have been fantastic. So there’s a country that gets it. So it can be done, John.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, Poland doesn’t let anyone in without… fully vetting them first which we used to do it was a place called Ellis Island on the east coast and there was one I think it was called Angel Island outside of San Francisco on the west coast where everybody who came over had to go through and they got vetted and the ship lines I don’t know they had to agree when they brought immigrants that if the person didn’t get accepted they would take them back And maybe we need to start doing that a little more then. Build a new Ellis Island type place. These people want to emigrate here? Fine. You come in and we vet you. Or better yet, we vet you before you ever get on an airplane.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, I was just going to say, let’s vet them even before they arrive. We’ve got technology and things that we can do today that we didn’t have then that make this really easy. And again, at the end of the day, this really, John, isn’t that difficult. But I’m going to go as far as to say, and I don’t know how we get this done, because nationally, we need to start naming Islam groups. what it actually is. It’s a political ideology. It is not a religion. It should not get the same religious benefits and protections that an actual religion gets, because it’s not.
SPEAKER 03 :
And we’re going to need either a state, and kind of DeSantis is on that way when he declared CARE and the Muslim Brotherhood terrorist organizations.
SPEAKER 12 :
True, good point.
SPEAKER 03 :
And so it’s going to have to go The Supreme Court’s going to eventually have to make that decision and say, Islam, is it a religion or is it not? Until we get there, I don’t know how we would win by just saying, we’re not giving Islam the same protections as everyone else under the First Amendment. You’re probably right.
SPEAKER 12 :
I don’t know that I can disagree with you there because there would be challenges. You’d have a lot – because here’s what would happen. You would declare that a state, anyone, a city, a county, a state – You know, federally, we we basically say that it’s no longer religion. You’re not going to get the same religious freedoms that actual religions get. Then the lawsuits would happen, John. And that’s when it would actually get pushed up to the Supreme Court, where they would then have to come in and say either they are or they are not a religion. I think you’ve got some folks sitting on the bench right now that would side with you and I in a heartbeat. Wouldn’t even have to go review anything to know that it’s not a religion. It’s an ideology. You’ve got others there that honestly, John, I don’t. Well, the liberals, of course, are going to come back and say, oh, no, no. It’s a religion just like anything else. They worship Allah, who is God, and blah, blah, blah, and they would come back and say that. They’re clueless, but that’s what they would say.

It’s the liberals and Roberts, and then we’d have to figure, what’s her name, Coney Barrett or maybe Gorsuch.

Both of those being hardcore Catholics, hard to say.

Yeah, that’s the thing. They’re hardcore Catholics. The other thing I want to comment on real quick—

I know a lot of people are mad at Trump for what he said, and maybe he shouldn’t have said it.

Well, and really quick, here’s where I’m at with that. It’s not what he said, because I agree with everything he said. He’s correct in what he said just too soon. That’s all. Just too soon.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. Well, I look at it this way. Maybe it was his emotions. And somebody who verbally abused him across all social media and regular media for the last 10 years is murdered. And, you know, we know Trump sometimes doesn’t think before he speaks.
SPEAKER 12 :
That is one of the issues that he has. You’re correct.
SPEAKER 03 :
So I’m going to give him a little grace on this. And this time, because I’m going to say, yeah, maybe if he waited a week, he probably would have gotten away with it.
SPEAKER 12 :
Actually, he probably could have even waited three days and gotten by with it, John. But the same day, yeah, a little too soon.
SPEAKER 03 :
Last thing, John, and I don’t know if you’ve heard them. but there’s already some really tasteless jokes about his murder out there.
SPEAKER 12 :
Oh, geez. And you know what, John? I have not seen, don’t want to see, if any of you listening are in that world, as much of a jerk, and he was, Rob Reiner was, and as much as he hated our side, you, me, Trump, and so on, yeah, and inappropriate, John, just inappropriate.
SPEAKER 03 :
He was a child of God. Maybe delusional and everything else. Still a human being. We’re all children of God.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yep, still a human being at the end of the day. Absolutely.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yep.
SPEAKER 12 :
And really quick, John, that’s what separates our side from the other side. As I said earlier, you know, those that were out there, you know, jumping for joy, having to have a drink on me because of Charlie Kirk dying and blah, blah, blah. I mean, we saw all of that vitriol from the other side. That’s not who we are, John. We don’t do that.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right. Well, I kind of defended Trump today a little bit. Some people took offense. Some people agreed with me because I understood from the point of. He took 10 years of abuse from this guy, and maybe his emotions took over.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and again, what I’m saying is he’s correct in everything that he said. I am not disagreeing with any of that at all. Where I have a problem is not that the timing was off. I mean, it’s that old, you know, it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it or when you say it, John. It’s the when you say it that got him.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, okay. I can agree with that. I just— I’m going to give him a pass on this one because of just what he took over the last 10 years. And we can disagree on that. But, you know, you’re not going to put me on the Marty list.
SPEAKER 12 :
No, I’m not putting you on the Marty list. Not at all. You’re fine.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, here’s the thing with that. That was the other thing I wanted to comment on real quick. I was laughing when you did that. Most of us were like, why don’t you just hang up on the guy when he goes on those tirades? But you used to always give them so much.
SPEAKER 12 :
I give everybody a little bit of rope, and then eventually they hang themselves, and I let them go. But, you know, again, maybe because I’m getting older, John, and I just start realizing that, you know, I don’t really have to do some of these things anymore. And as I said earlier, and I mean this, and this is shame on me, because, frankly, John, had anybody been commenting the way some of these individuals do on the text line or even openly on the phone calling in, If these same individuals were talking that way about, you know, black people or Asian people or Hispanic people or any other people group out there, John, I wouldn’t have allowed it. So why did I allow it to go on as long as I did with the Jews? Shame on me. I should have cut them off from day one.
SPEAKER 03 :
And I don’t know how a Christian can do that.
SPEAKER 12 :
Because they’re not. Because they’re not, John. The bottom line, and I’m going to say this openly, those people that claim to be, and will say that they’re walking with God and this, that, and the other, and yet they have that utter hatred for the Jews and for Israel, they’re not, John. Period.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, yeah, because I read, this was a while back, so I can’t remember where I read it, but I read that scholars went through the Bible… and one of them was a Jewish scholar that became a Messianic Jew, you know what that is, that they said there were over a hundred references to Jesus in the Old Testament that they were able to find. I can’t remember the exact number, but it was over a hundred. So I don’t understand how a Christian with that kind of documentation can hate the Jewish people when that’s our heritage.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and again, I’ll give you – because A, they’re not Christians. B, they’ve probably never read Scripture through and through and really have a basic understanding of what’s in it. They claim to, but I guarantee you these are people that are taking excerpts out of different areas of Scripture to translate. try to fit their own narrative, John. They’ve never really read the Scripture through and through, and they have no clue what they’re talking about. And I mean that sincerely, because if they did, they wouldn’t believe and act the way that they do. It’s that simple.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, and I agree with you. One other question. I don’t know if you’ve ever done this. I had a friend at church last year recommend this. He showed me a website where they have the chronological Bible in a year. Okay, okay. where they put everything in the order that it happened. So, like, you’re reading Esther at the same time you’re reading Nehemiah and Ezra, because it all happened. Correct.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yep, I get it. The timeline is in order, is what you’re saying.
SPEAKER 03 :
Right, right. And it really gave me a different view on it. And I was talking to him at church the other day, because I’m almost done. He said, now do it again next year and see how much more you pick up that you didn’t. just doing it. I don’t know. Have you ever done that?
SPEAKER 12 :
Oh, yeah. In fact, I’ve read the Bible complete in a year. I did that about four times. I haven’t done it for several years, but yeah, I’ve done that complete four times. I’ve never done it in the way that you’re talking. Now, keep in mind, I’m somebody that was raised in a Christian home, went to Christian school. I mean, I don’t know how many different times I’ve been to chapel and Bible classes and all of that, John. So for me, Do I need that timeline? Not really, because I know how they coincide anyway, so for me that wasn’t necessary, but I do think it’s very helpful.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, and it was just really interesting, because what’s interesting is they put the book of Job right after Genesis.
SPEAKER 12 :
Because it’s the oldest book in the Bible.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, and I never realized that before. Maybe, you know… So it helped. But to go back, some of these people that claim they’re Christians and hate the Jews, maybe you should try something like that. You know, Grady, you know what?
SPEAKER 12 :
That’s probably the best advice I can give to somebody that does is do exactly what you’re talking about. And maybe, just maybe, by the time they’re done, they’ll have a different viewpoint.
SPEAKER 03 :

All right, we are back, and we had a discussion, I think it’s been a couple of weeks ago, where I was sort of arguing, I guess you could say, with a texter, because Andy and I were talking about how when you do certain things as a city, like the city of Denver, more so even as a state, but as a city, when you do certain things… you are liable to run businesses off. And I had, you know, arguments coming, you know, back, basically saying, yeah, you guys are overblowing things. That really doesn’t happen. You know, it’s not that big of a deal. Businesses aren’t leaving, so on and so forth. Well, there’s a new story out. About four days ago, I got wind of it from one of my sons today, that Swire Coca-Cola. So the way that works is every… every distributor of, in this case, Coke, they’re different across the country. In other words, it’s not equal. It’s not like Coca-Cola owns every bottler and distributor coast to coast. They find people that actually will help them with that distribution, bottling distribution and so on. So in this case, Swire Coca-Cola, they’re building – A new large-scale beverage manufacturing plant in Colorado Springs at Peak Innovation Park. It’s out near the airport. replacing their aging 90-year-old production facility in Denver, which they couldn’t develop further. The new $475 million plant will create 170 jobs, focus on sustainability. It’ll be a LEED-certified facility and serve as a major production hub for the region, with construction starting this next year, completed, will be completed in about 2028. So going back to what I was talking about in regards to, in this case, the city of Denver, When you make things less inviting to these sorts of organizations, businesses, yeah, they go someplace else. And again, I had arguments with people on the text line that, you know, no, they don’t, that companies won’t do that. Well, yeah, they do. And this is a great example, you know, $475 million plant that the city of Denver didn’t get to have in the first place. And by the way, those jobs that are in Denver right now are going to go elsewhere. Now, as usual, some of those people may move, may move down to Colorado Springs. Some might even commute depending upon, you know, where they live in the metro area because Colorado Springs isn’t that far. A lot of people commute back and forth depending upon their shift and so on. Or they’ll just give up, they’ll retire, do whatever, and somebody else will get that – it’s creating 170 jobs, meaning it’s going to be larger than it is now. So I’m guessing they’re figuring on a certain amount of people moving and transitioning and whatever, and then they’re going to add 170 jobs. By the way, folks, that’s substantial. And the city of Denver lost that. Now, I get that’s not the entire state, but you can expand that out and basically say when the state – does things that make it unattractive to do business here, the same thing can happen along those lines. So I wasn’t wrong and I wasn’t lying or off base when I said that as a state, if we continue down the path of being unfriendly to business, these things happen. And I’m not wrong, folks. So those of you that are on the other side of the aisle that think I’m being some kind of an alarmist, I’m not. I’m giving you an exact example of what happens when, in this case, the city of Denver screws up. But then as a state, if we do the same thing, we’ll be in the same boat. This isn’t just me being outlandish in my thought process and being somehow over-exaggerating, I guess you could say, or exaggerating this particular topic that if you don’t do something correctly, businesses move. It’s a simple fact. It’s not me exaggerating at all. This is what happens. When you don’t do things correctly, this is what happens. When you don’t make it inviting for business, this is what happens. When you overburden people with regulation or whatever the case, this is what happens. When you have too high a minimum wage, i.e. Denver, this is what happens. It’s going up, I believe, January 1st. Am I right on that, Charlie? I think minimum wage in Denver goes up January 1st. So again, businesses have choices, folks. And when you make things hard on them in multiple ways, this is what happens. You lose the business. Now, I don’t know economically. I didn’t look to see. I don’t know if it’s in this, but this is a Nine News article. There’s several different articles out there. It’s a 620,000-square-foot facility that they’re going to build. Again, 475,000 – yeah, 475 million. Sorry, 475 million. And I didn’t see what the extrapolated impact on, in this case, Colorado Springs, what that actually means. In other words, how many millions of dollars a year does this bring in to the city of Colorado Springs? It doesn’t say in this article, and maybe they haven’t put that together yet. I don’t know. This is a big number, folks. This is a big deal. And frankly, maybe I missed the news on this one, but I had this article sent to me because I didn’t see much news. Did you see any news coverage on this, Charlie, at all? Of course not. And why didn’t you see any on this? Because the city of Denver is losing on this one. So, yeah, our local news stations that are in bed with the city of Denver and the mayor, literally, they’re not going to publish anything like this. This is a story that I don’t even know where in Nine News this is put. It’s, of course, now in the business section. But if I were to just go to the regular front page of Nine News, it’s not there. In fact, I’m going to scroll through the front page of Nine News’ website right now, period, and let me see if it’s anywhere on the front page. And as I scroll through, I’m now down in all the secondary articles and so on. It is not on this front page anywhere. Now, I get it. This story is three or four days old, but I don’t see that anywhere. So that’s proving my point that our local news stations – are so ingrained, so in bed with Mayor Johnston and the city of Denver, they’re not going to publish anything like this. So, proving my point, they don’t want this kind of press. All right, we’ll take a break. I’ll come back. I’ve got more to talk about in this last segment or so of Rush to Reason. All right, we are back. Something I’ll probably bring up with Scott Garlis on Wednesday. I’m pretty sure Scott will be with us on Wednesday. High-end car sales sink in China as its economy slows, taking a toll on European automakers. So Chinese demand for foreign luxury cars is waning as customers opt for more affordable Chinese brand models, often sold at big discounts, catering to the… catering their taste for fancy electronics and comfort. That’s bad news for European carmakers like Porsche, Austin Martin, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW that have long dominated the upper reaches of the world’s largest auto market. A slowing economy hits the luxury market. Scott and I both have talked about what’s really going on in China and the fact that they are very secretive about the fact that their economy is not doing that great. In fact, Jordan Goodman and I have had – and Andy have had many a conversation along the lines of all of that. And reality is they’re struggling. And not sure exactly why or why they are so secretive. I mean, I guess I do know why, because they don’t want to lose face on anything. So reality is they’re not good. And this particular indicator where… their normal rich Chinese person, I guess you could say, upper middle class, I don’t know what they call them in China, but those that have a larger wallet and a bigger appetite for large purchases, it’s waning. And a lot of Chinese, by the way, they like driving those high-end cars because it’s a status symbol for them. Basically, it’s a show off. And if you don’t believe what I’m saying there, just watch a movie like Crazy Rich Asians, which basically explains a lot of what I’m talking about. And I’m not wrong in what I’m saying. Now, by the way, there’s nothing against Asians in general. People in general like to show off their wealth. Some do. Some do. Some don’t. I was watching a video last night about how did this guy put it on? I need to rewatch this particular video. But I watched a video last night that basically was talking about those, those people that are that are really wealthy that are around you, but it’s it’s the silent wealth. And I thought it was – the way the guy explained it was it was really interesting. And the way he made it sound – or the way he described it was if the wife – in other words, if it’s a husband and wife duo, if the wife has a nicer car than the husband and even dresses nicer than the husband, that’s silent wealth. And he gave all sorts of other examples along those lines, which, by the way, is kind of opposite of what this article is talking about in regards to China and how the upper class in China really like to show off their wealth and so on. Here’s the reality, though, and this is the whole article and what this is about as far as China goes is they’re not spending the money. Now, what that tells me is they’re watching their pennies or their won. I guess they call it over there, Charlie. It’s the won. They’re watching their won. And keep in mind, too, they’re probably being a little bit more of a penny pincher because government there, I believe I read, they are subsidizing about 20,000 yen or $2,830 on each electric vehicle. So they’re trying to push the electric, you know, the electrification of the fleet over there, BYD and some of their other vehicles, which I actually saw a BYD. driving down the road in Mexico. I’ve never seen one here because they’re not allowed in the United States. And even Mexico, it’s really hard there because the Mexican authorities realize what a huge impact that would have upon all of their own manufacturing and so on. So they don’t really let them in either. So I don’t know how there was one driving around, but there was one. And I’ll just say this, not a bad looking vehicle. Now, I don’t know what it looks like inside and how it works or anything, but I’ve heard, I’ve seen some of the reviews and stuff on them. They’re pretty good, actually. They’re pretty good. Now, I don’t know safety-wise and all of that if they’re as good as they should be and if they’ll actually work. But supposedly, they do very well. So the market share of premium car sales in China usually priced above 300,000 yen or $42,000, more than doubled between 2017 and 2023 to about 15% of sales. The trend is now reversing. The share of premium car sales fell to 14% and then 13% in the first nine months of 2025. And Chinese automakers, of course, are taking a bigger bite out of that. But bottom line, the luxury models… In China, Porsches, Mercedes, Austin Martins, and so on, as I read a little earlier, they’re not doing very well. And again, as I stated many times on this program, and even Jordan Goodman and others have agreed with me, and despite what you might hear from news media, China’s economy is not doing very well. China’s economy not doing very well. Okay, in closing here, we’ve got a couple minutes left here of this particular segment. Xcel Energy. I just got a notice on this. Some of you out there listening may have gotten a notice from Xcel Israel. I actually got a voice message. they are warning of potential shutoffs on the front range they’re going to proactively shut some power off to make sure that you know the big fire that we had up in the boulder area boulder superior area doesn’t happen again so they could shut power off to some customers on wednesday uh we’re expecting really really high winds on wednesday so they’ve they’re preemptively talking about that i’m trying to see exactly how many How many customers this might actually affect, and I’m not getting any numbers on this. This is talking more about the Marshall Fire and what happened there versus how many customers may actually be affected by this, but they’re putting it out there that they’re going to proactively… shutdown send it in by the way it’s on their website right now if you go to excel energies uh… website it’s it’s down there so they are tom very very dangerous conditions wildfire conditions of course blah blah blah uh… it’ll impact customers in adams arapahoe boulder broomfield denver douglas jefferson larimer and weld and they’re going to do that up to about 6 p.m wednesday night so that’s a wide swath by the way adams rapahoe boulder broomfield denver douglas jefferson larimer and well so for some of you You may want to look at, and this is more of a ready radio topic, but I’ll just shove this in right now. Make sure you’re dialed in when it comes to if you get power outage. If you end up with a power outage, don’t open and close the refrigerator door any more than you have to. Make sure you’ve got a few things out ahead of time. As far as the freezer goes, same thing. Or have some sort of backup power if needed. I don’t know how long these will be. They’re not saying exactly. I’m assuming this is going to depend upon how bad the wind actually blows. And remember, this is a forecast. How hard will it blow? Who knows? Who knows? We could get really, really high winds, be up in that 100-mile-an-hour range, or we’ve had forecasts where that is forecasted and it blows 35 miles an hour. So it just depends. We were supposed to have really, really high winds a week ago and never really got them in the metro area. I mean, it blew pretty hard, but not what they predicted. So hard to say. What I’m getting at here is be prepared if you’re in any of those counties, which, by the way, is a large swath of our listening audience. We cover every one of those counties, by the way. And you may very well get a notice from Xcel Energy on the front side, but just be prepared. Frankly, if you’re in the whole Denver metro area. On Wednesday, you could be affected by a power outage. Now, business-wise, they normally try to keep businesses on. And, yes, they can shut some residential down and leave business open and so on. So they’ve got a way to strategically do that. So just be aware that maybe you’re somebody that works from home. You have a home office or some of you might even do some different things, you know, not even home office wise, but you do different things at home as a business and you need electricity. Just be on the alert that that could affect you as we roll into Wednesday and just make sure that you’re prepared on the front side of that so you don’t take a big hit if, in fact, the power is off. In other words, what’s your contingency plan? What’s your backup plan in case your power is out? How do you still function throughout the day and still do what you need to do business wise when it’s all said and done? All right. Veteran Windows and Doors.
