In this episode of the Mike Gallagher Show, Mike dives into the chaotic world of U.S. politics, dissecting a shocking incident that recently unfolded at a town hall meeting with Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. Accusations are flying, with social media split on whether the attack was real or staged. Mike raises critical questions about the veracity of the video evidence and the implications of such incidents on public trust. Engage with Mike as he encourages listeners to voice their reactions and beliefs about the day’s political climate and security concerns for public figures.
SPEAKER 04 :
From the wild world of D.C. politics to America’s culture clash, brace yourself for the reality check you’ve been waiting for. The one and only Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 05 :
So what do you do when a United States congresswoman gets attacked at a town hall meeting complete with video descriptions showing a guy spraying the sitting congresswoman with some kind of mystery substance? And nobody believes that it’s real. I mean, I’ve never seen such a pushback like this on social media. Nobody believes it’s legit. It’s like Jesse Smollett 2.0. Totally staged. A hoax. That’s what people are screaming on social media. And I have to admit, I’ve got a lot of questions. But the problem is, if it’s legit, it needs to be Roundly condemned. No member of Congress should be attacked, assaulted, confronted. I don’t care if you’re a Democrat or a Republican. And thank goodness it was only a mystery substance. That’s one of my questions. What was the substance? If you’re just joining us and you didn’t hear what happened, last night Ilhan Omar is at a town hall and she’s railing against Trump, as she always does, and Kristi Noem needs to be impeached, and she needs to resign. And then a guy in the front row jumps up, rushes towards her, has a syringe, and spritzes a liquid onto her chest. Now, for her part, she’s tough. She balls up her fist. She doesn’t recoil. She goes right to him. She’s ready to kick his butt. She’s ready to rock. And, of course, they surround the guy. They throw him to the ground. They take him away. He’s been identified, I guess. But who is he? What’s his background? What’s his voting record? What are his political affiliations? Because if everybody thinks it’s fake, it shouldn’t be hard to dispel the notion that it was staged. If you’re watching right now on Salem News Channel, we’ll play it for you. Tracy, we probably ought to send the clip out for people who aren’t watching Salem News Channel and you want to see it on the text line. Incidentally, I forgot all about the great Joey Jones monologue. Blame it on the mucinex. I’ve been stuffed up. I’ve had a lot of allergy issues this week after my cruise last week. That’ll teach me to be on an island with a bunch of trees and wind. Gosh, I felt horrible. I was sick as a dog. Feeling much better today, although I’m still a little stuffed up, as you can tell. And I forgot that Tracy put together that great Joey Jones monologue on the text line for you to get a copy of it. If you want to see Joey’s rebuke of Jessica Tarloff, it was magnificent. All about the responsibilities you have if you’re carrying a weapon to a protest. And so if you want to see that video, and I’m sorry I’m a day late and a dollar short, but if you want that video, just text the keyword Joey to the text line, which is 800-655-MIKE. Just text Joey to 800-655-6453, and we’ll send you back the great, great analysis. It’s about four minutes long of Joey Jones on the 5 on Fox News. Again, just text Joey to 800-655-MIKE. We’ll also share with you the attack on Ilhan Omar. Do we have it as a shot, Christian? I think we do, right? Now, again, if you’re listening on the radio, you can’t see this clearly, but if you’re watching on Salem News Channel, you can. Here was the moment when Ilhan Omar was attacked by a guy who was sitting in the front row of her town hall last night in Minneapolis.
SPEAKER 01 :
And DHS Secretary Kristi Noem must resign or face impeachment.
SPEAKER 05 :
All right, so there’s the guy. She flinches a little bit, and then she charges him. He jumps up and says something about resignation and sprays her with a syringe and a mystery substance. Let me just give you some of my questions. Here’s question number one. What was the substance? She’s a sitting member of Congress. Do you know how many deadly substances can be used to kill somebody? Well, she just kept speaking. They kept telling her, they were saying to her, we got to get you out of here. She goes, no, no, I’m going to keep speaking because I’m tough and I’m brave and I’m bold. So apparently she just took a piece of paper towel and dabbed whatever the mystery substance was and kept speaking. Huh? Whatever you think of her, she is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. She’s in an important position. You would think she would be taken away to be examined to make sure she’s going to be okay. That makes no sense. Number two, I mean, I guess good for her that she’s strong and brave enough to charge him. She doesn’t know what he’s got. She doesn’t know if he’s got a knife. She has no idea what’s going on. And she charges him with her fist balled up. Wow. That’s one tough lady. Doesn’t cower. Doesn’t duck. Doesn’t try to get away. She goes to the attacker. That ain’t making a lot of sense. So, and again, if you’re on social media, you see all the skepticism, all the doubts, all of the dubious reactions people are having. You ought to see my text line right now at 800-655-MIKE. South Carolina, totally staged. They’re trying to make her out to be heroic. Michigan, Mike, I’ve seen better acting in porn movies. Florida, that attack looked so staged, it’s almost comical. The acting was cringe. That’s the genuine reaction people are having. So let me turn it over to you, 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453, 13 past the hour, flood the zone. I want to get reaction from ordinary Americans from Minneapolis and beyond to find out what you think about the attack on Congresswoman Ilhan Omar. 800-655-MIKE, your voice, your call, your perspective. on this Wednesday episode of the Mike Gallagher Show, final Wednesday of the month, in the Relief Factor Studios, coming up. For years, I loved to break down the news, calling out Washington corruption, standing up for the values that make America strong. That means secure borders, limited government, economic freedom. Look, if you’re worried about what’s coming, and a lot of people are, you need to think about protecting yourself and your family with something real, something that can’t be printed out of thin air, something that doesn’t depend on corporate greed or government debt. Perform better every day. Call 800-4-RELIEF or go to relieffactor.com. There’s a text message on the text line from Indiana that makes so much sense. And I think it does speak to the reason people have so many questions about this problem. attack on Ilhan Omar, that there was not enough concern that Ilhan Omar felt compelled to even wash the substance off or change clothes. That leads me to believe that she knew there was no threat to her life. Maybe there’s an easy explanation to that. Do you think maybe everybody knows what it was? Was it maybe vinegar? Urine? Sorry to be crude. But how would you know that there’s not a potentially life-threatening substance? And this is not just crazy conspiracy talk. Goodness knows we’ve got enough of that going on in the world. But she’s a member of Congress. She’s been sprayed with a substance. And nobody is concerned enough about her to either get the substance off of her body or wash it off? I have to say. I don’t like being a part of the chorus of people who doubt this. Because if it’s legit, if it’s a legitimate attack by a crazed man who wanted to terrify her, that needs to be condemned. Period. Full stop. That shouldn’t be controversial. No member of Congress should be attacked in public. You have to worry about the security these people have. You have to worry about their vulnerability. You have to be mindful. And we are in tough, tough times right now. Here’s my colleague Scott Jennings, who’s going to be my co-host on the big Gulf of America cruise in November. Here he was last night on CNN with what I think is a very legitimate, normal reaction to this event last night in Minneapolis with Congresswoman Ilhan Omar.
SPEAKER 02 :
Everybody ought to condemn any kind of political violence and political intimidation, whether it’s happening to a Democrat or happening to a Republican. And so that would go for the president. It would go for members of Congress. Everybody ought to condemn all political violence and all political intimidation, and so we should in this case. The other thing that jumps out to me tonight is, and we’ve talked about this before in unfortunate circumstances, most members of Congress are out in the open. They do not have… great security. I mean, that is terrifying how easily he could approach her. They’re not treated like the president. We’re used to seeing the president and all the Secret Service and all that. Most members of Congress, the vast majority of them, have very little security at all, and they really are out in the open, and all it takes is one crazy person. or hateful person or whatever to approach them. So we should keep that in mind. You know, we have a lot of tough political debates and tough political fights, but we’re all human beings here. And these human beings who are in elected office are often in very insecure environments.
SPEAKER 05 :
Now, you know what’s fascinating about Scott’s comments? And of course, I agree with him 100%. But part of this story is the widespread concern doubt that Americans have about the veracity of this attack. I mean, let’s go. Let’s find out. 800-655-MIKE. I think you’re about to find out. Mark, we’ll start with you in Ohio. How you doing, Mark? Pretty good. Hey, the Oscars are this weekend. She’s a lock for best leading actress. I’d like to thank my agent. I’d like to thank my publicist. So you think it was staged? Yeah, they gave her just three one-way tickets back. I got you. I got you. Trevor in Illinois. Trevor, welcome back. How are you?
SPEAKER 06 :
Hey, Mike. Hey. Love your show.
SPEAKER 05 :
Thank you.
SPEAKER 06 :
I definitely believe it was staged to distract from the investigation that’s going on with the Somalians and also about her marrying her own brother and all the documentation that is not available for… the whole thing in regards to her. I think her father, wasn’t her father supposedly naturalized? And there’s no paperwork for that as well.
SPEAKER 05 :
What I don’t know, but you know what I know, Trevor, is that she came over here from Somalia with apparently nothing, and now she’s worth over $30 million. Are you kidding me?
SPEAKER 06 :
I don’t know. Maybe she has an OnlyFans. I don’t know. That would be disgusting. Yeah.
SPEAKER 05 :
You know, there’s a lot of things that are disgusting coming out of Minneapolis these days. Thank you. One open line, 800-655-MIKE. All right, let’s just break this down for a moment. Because, again, if the skepticism is, well, it’s an attempt to distract from her own problems that she’s facing. Well, first of all, if this is some kind of a staged attack, It can’t be hard to find out about the guy that did it, right? People know him. He’s got friends, family, neighbors. What groups does he belong to? Is he a big Trump supporter? Do we know that? I’m a little concerned about what we don’t know about the guy. And here’s the tell. You know… I guess that’s a poker expression, right? But here’s the giveaway. Here’s the absolute giveaway to this. If we don’t find out anything about the guy who did it, you got your answer. If we don’t find out everything about this guy, because these days you can find out everything about anybody. Look at the goofy nurse in Virginia we talked about yesterday who said the horrible, hateful things about, you know, encouraging women to poison ice. What is it? VCU Health, I think it was called. She’s gone, apparently. They fired her. Of course, that didn’t take long, and you knew that was coming. And we know everything about it. They knew her nursing license. They knew everything about her, knew where she lived, all of it, right? So if we learn everything about this guy, well, then you’ll have your answer. It wasn’t staged. If this gets memory-hulled, if this goes into a giant, big, black hole, and we never learn anything about who this guy is or what his ideology is, there’s your answer. 800-655-MIKE.
SPEAKER 06 :
Love is going to let you sooner or later.

SPEAKER 04 :
From the wild world of D.C. politics to America’s culture clash, brace yourself for the reality check you’ve been waiting for. The one and only Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 05 :
Wild world is right. We are living through some wild times. And I think everybody’s a little tired of Minneapolis. Again, last night, another big provocative story. Ilhan Omar attacked by a guy with a syringe who sprayed this mystery liquid on her. Look, this audience doesn’t believe it happened legitimately. It appears to be a legitimate attack from a guy who didn’t like Ilhan Omar. But, you know, nobody believes anything anymore. we can’t even get a consistent story about Trump’s mass deportation in the aftermath of the shooting death of Alex Preddy and Renee Good, who was shot after she aimed her car at one of the federal law enforcement officers. And I played a clip this week of Newt Gingrich on Fox Business saying, you know, essentially… The time has come to have a conversation about illegals who’ve been here for 20 years, haven’t caused any problems. They’re just minding their own business. And this audience heard that clip and said, wait a minute, come on, Newt Gingrich? Steve Cortez is a nationally known TV personality, a political strategist, financial expert. He’s a friend of mine. He’s been around a long time. He’s been with the Ron DeSantis folks, Trump. J.D. Vance. I remember back in the day, I was a big fan of the Steve Cortez show on AM 560. The answer is great to welcome Steve back to the Mike Gallagher show. How you been, Steve?
SPEAKER 03 :
Hey, Mike. Yes. Great to see you. And I hope that I’m still considered an emeritus member of the fraternity of Salem and your fantastic network.
SPEAKER 05 :
Absolutely you are. How could you not? You have a lot of common sense reactions to things that leave us scratching our heads. Let me play the Newt Gingrich clip that you reacted to on X that caught my eye, caught your eye as well, and ear. Let’s listen together to what Newt said to Larry Kudlow night before last on Fox Business. Because suddenly there’s a national conversation that is emerging in the aftermath of all of these volatile events that are taking place in the Twin Cities of Minnesota. Here was Newt on Fox Business.
SPEAKER 08 :
So, I think there are two things. We need a national conversation about what we’re going to do about people who’ve come here, some of them 20 years ago, who’ve been obeying the law, paying taxes, good neighbors. Go to PTA. Very few Americans want to see the police walk in and pick them up and deport them. On the other hand, people do not want to give them citizenship. So there should be some middle ground here on long-term goals.
SPEAKER 05 :
Steve, I don’t know about you. Well, I do know how you feel because you and I feel the same way. I got an idea what we should do with them. But let’s have you react to what Newt said.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, listen, this is just such a tired spiel that we’ve literally been hearing now for 40 years from establishment Republicans like Newt Gingrich. And look, I’m friendly with him. I think he’s done some amazing things. I think 30 years ago, he was probably exactly the right man for the political moment in America. He has no idea what time it is today, and he’s dead wrong here. By the way, to counter his point exactly we had a national conversation on exactly this point it was called the 2024 election and this signature issue of donald trump in that campaign the foundational issue was mass deportations he didn’t sugarcoat it he didn’t talk around and he wasn’t nuanced about it he presented that as he has the foundational thesis for why he should be put back into office and guess what He won every swing state. He won the popular vote. He had the most commanding Republican victory in decades. So the people have rendered the verdict on this. By the way, we have polling since then that is still consistently vastly in favor of deporting not just people who’ve committed additional crimes, no, deporting everyone. Of course, prioritizing the most dangerous bad hombres first, but deporting everyone who doesn’t belong here. But I think what Newt also needs to realize, and folks like him, is that… They are part and parcel, unfortunately, of this grand lie which was told to us, which was basically if we just tolerate porous borders or at times even wide open borders, generally people who come through there, who trespass and break and enter our country, they’re just going to be great people and add to our national cohesion, to our national prosperity. Well, that has not happened. We haven’t done immigration well. We no longer demand assimilation. The majority of immigrant-headed households, by the way, I’m a son of an immigrant, but the majority of immigrant-headed households are now receiving some form of welfare in this country. We have seen our unity as a people, our social cohesion deteriorate, our patriotism go down, and we’re just told that we have to sit back and accept it. No, the people rose up in 2024 and are still rising up and saying we will not accept a managed decline of the United States. Newt Gingrich, you are wrong. All these people have to leave. And by the way, though, we’re trying to be gracious as a people. We are saying if you leave on your own, If you self-deport, we’re going to give you some help on the way out the door. We’re going to pay travel costs. We’re going to allow you to reapply. I think that’s really magnanimous, actually, of the American people. It’s a gracious offer. A lot of people have taken it, nearing two million, I think, now have taken that offer. I think even more will going forward. But we’ve got to keep up the pressure so that they do take that offer, so that they make that smart decision to self-deport.
SPEAKER 05 :
Steve, I’m also intrigued by something Newt said, and this is a talking point that I’ve heard before. Well, they’re paying taxes. I’m a little confused. Is Newt talking about sales tax? Because how does an illegal pay income tax?
SPEAKER 03 :
Right. Well, listen, I mean, of course they are paying taxes, sales taxes, you know, for one thing. It’s a lot of them own property. Right. Believe it or not. So paying property taxes, they are paying taxes. But again, that does not justify.
SPEAKER 05 :
Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Back up, back up, back up. How do you own property if you’re an illegal immigrant?
SPEAKER 03 :
they shouldn’t but they do all over the united states they own property a lot of them by the way too though are also of course living in subsidized housing living in government housing all over this country you know i mentioned um the the prevalence unfortunately of welfare dependency among immigrants and that’s including the legal ones by the way now it’s worse of course among the illegals generally but if we look at the statistics on somalis in minnesota for example all almost all of whom are here legally, all right, as much as they should not have been let in, almost all of them do have status here in the United States because of Joe Biden. If we look at them, according to the Center for Immigration Studies, which does great work, 80% of them are on welfare, 80% are on welfare after 10 years in the United States. So we have been abused. We, the American citizens, have been abused by mass migration from the third world. Let me also add this. You know who else has been abused? Our new legal Americans, people like my own father who did it the right way. It’s a really time consuming, expensive, difficult process to become a legal american citizen in this country they more than anyone should be uh should feel disrespected by the idea that millions upon millions of people can just on their own volition make their own decision with the help of leftist american ngos and the help of american corporate chieftains to come into this country and skip the line cheat the system erode our culture put us in danger in terms of our street safety, our national security, and then also attack the wages and the prosperity of American workers. The people have spoken resoundingly that we’ve had enough of this, that we’re going to prioritize American citizens and not foreigners any longer. And we have every right, I would argue, every obligation as a people to make that decision and to be adamant about it. And And we don’t need to be lectured to by politicians who for decades were part of the bipartisan failure that resulted in this mass migration from the third world.
SPEAKER 05 :
We’re visiting with Steve Cortez. He’s founder of the League of American Workers. You know, Steve, what’s frustrating to millions of Americans is that the message that we seem to be getting out of Minnesota. is that you can derail Trump’s efforts for the mass deportation that he was elected on. And you’re so right. He didn’t make a campaign promise. Well, now, mass deportation only means rapists and kidnappers and murderers. Mass deportation meant mass deportation. We all know that. He’s now actually acknowledging the need to de-escalate. He said we’re going to de-escalate to some extent. The border patrol guy getting yanked out of there. Kristi Noem is on the hot seat. The biggest fear I have over this whole emerging mess in Minnesota is that to the lunatics on the left, who commit acts of violence and who try to harm and assault our law enforcement community, if the mob gets violent enough, if they rise up enough, they’re going to get their way. That, to me, is the big fear about what’s this kind of national conversation the likes of which Newt Gingrich would like to have right now. that everything we’ve been doing is going to get derailed because of the loonies in Minneapolis, the antifas and the banging on the pots and pans and throwing rocks and biting off the fingers of law enforcement. You do enough of that and we’ll get our wish. That’s what I think is most disappointing about this whole conversation, Steve.
SPEAKER 03 :
I think you’re exactly right. Your fear, your worry is correctly placed. Look, we cannot reward a bunch of extremists and radicals, whether they’re people in office or whether it’s their supporters in places like Minneapolis, who are a bunch of lunatic Antifa Karens who attack law enforcement in this country. You’re exactly correct. We cannot reward the radical toddlers by saying your tantrum means that we’re going to stand down from the very clear, logical, lawful and accurate ethical mission, which the American people have demanded of the Trump administration. But you’re also right to worry. Look, I think President Trump’s going to make the right decisions here. But there’s a battle raging within his circles. I mean, we saw it with Newt Gingrich, right? Newt is somebody who certainly has the ear of President Trump. I think in this case, President Trump needs to not listen to Newt Gingrich and recognize who he is, part of an old Republican establishment. which no longer has relevance for this current era that we’re in. But regardless, this battle is waging. It’s waging certainly among Republicans broadly. It’s waging even within the administration. The left cannot be rewarded. And by the way, we’ve seen this similar kinds of actions historically where there are insurrections effectively in our country. We saw what President Eisenhower, for example, did. when there was an insurrection in Little Rock, Arkansas, where federal law was being thwarted by a Democrat governor and by a bunch of radical agitators in Little Rock, Arkansas. He didn’t say, oh, that’s OK. You know, we’ll pull back. Let’s try to reach an accommodation. No, he sent the 101st Airborne. He sent the actual military, not law enforcement, military into into an American city. I think if we have to go, I hope we don’t go that far. But if we have to go that far, so be it, because we cannot let these radical agitators, locations with their so-called sanctuary policies nullify the will of the people nationally and national immigration law is very clear in this country and if they were at all responsible all right these antifa aligned supporters if they were all responsible they would say let’s try to change these laws let’s try to persuade people that we should have open borders but they They don’t do that because it’s not what the left does. Instead, they resort to thuggery and to violence. They get the support of the corporate legacy media, which pretends that there’s an uproar among the American people, an uproar that does not exist right now. The only uproar is that people are attacking law enforcement.
SPEAKER 05 :
Follow him on X, at Cortez Steve. Steve Cortez, come back and visit with us again soon. I hope to hear from you. Thanks, Steve. Keep fighting the good fight. Steve Cortez on the Mike Gallagher Show. What do you think? Is Newt right? It’s time to have that conversation? Let’s have that conversation. SPEAKER 04 :
Mike Gallagher. Every day, Mike visits with Mark Davis, morning host on 660 AM, The Answer in Dallas. Here’s today’s Eminem experience.
SPEAKER 05 :
She allegedly nods at the guy right before he jumps up and sprays her.
SPEAKER 07 :
Let’s pause on that, because I saw that. I mean, let’s do it like the Zapruder film. Yeah. Pardon that analogy.
SPEAKER 05 :
Frame by frame.
SPEAKER 07 :
Frame by frame. If I’m at an event, and I’m talking, and you’re in the front row, I’m going to look at you. So he’s directly in the line of sight. I attach no significance to that at all. His convenient presence in the front row is odd. His nonchalance as he approaches, his squirts are in the midsection, and we know nothing about him in the hourglass.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s my problem. Here’s the bigger problem. She’s a sitting member of Congress, and she gets sprayed with an unidentified substance. At the very least, you’ve got to get her somewhere to evaluate her and to make sure that it’s not some kind of an acidic, poisonous, deadly. And you know what? There was no effort at all to evaluate what the substance was that she was sprayed with.
SPEAKER 07 :
This is why I love you. You’re 100 percent right. If you get squirted with something and I’m sitting there saying, well, what was it? Cologne? What was it? Water? What was it? And again, I’m talking about the possibility that it’s nothing. You’re a thousand percent right. There are a lot of things that are odorless, colorless, seemingly innocuous, and they will kill you. You’re a sitting member of Congress. You’ve been sprayed with something. That event is over immediately. And by the way, good for anybody who says, I will not let this stop my event. I’m going to continue to talk to the people. Lovely spirit. No, you’re 100% right. That adds to the weirdness that she was not taken somewhere for medical attention immediately.
SPEAKER 05 :
Or an evaluation. Now look, maybe they already know and they’re not telling us. But in the case of the guy, the frumpy, dumpy guy in the front row who did this, look, it can’t be hard to figure him out. I mean, he’s got a voting record. People know who he is. People know his family.
SPEAKER 07 :
We would know all of it by now if he had a mega connection.
SPEAKER 05 :
We would know all of it. If we don’t find out about his background… There’s your answer. Then you got Jussie Smollett 2.0. If we don’t find out, if this thing gets memory hold, if this thing gets completely blacked out, look, by day’s end, we ought to know everything about the guy.
SPEAKER 1 :
100%.
SPEAKER 05 :
And if we don’t… Big old red flag. Big old red flag.
SPEAKER 07 :
But in vintage Mike, kindness and decency, which I always try to echo you with when I can. Like the baseball shooting. Like Charlie Kirk, where a lot of people were decent while others were monstrous. When things like this do happen and they are real, of course it doesn’t matter what party anybody is. And of course we condemn such attacks. You have to. Before I go to condemnation, I need verification.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, trust but verify. Listen, by the way, I’m trying to get used to Tony DeCoppo. I’m having an open mind because I’ve got the Barry Weiss connection, and he’s actually somebody who has pushed back against the woke ideology in the past. He sure has. So I don’t know. I mean, it’s kind of an interesting, different look to the CBS.
SPEAKER 07 :
I like that newscast. I like it. Is it perfect? Has it become conservative? Not at all. Not really. But it’s fairer than the competition.
SPEAKER 05 :
Somewhat. I mean, they’re not exactly, you know, we’re not ready to give out any awards.
SPEAKER 07 :
It ain’t Newsmax. It’s not going to be.
SPEAKER 05 :
No, it never will be.
SPEAKER 07 :
It’s much better than NBC.
SPEAKER 05 :
It’s not. It’s not ABC with David Muir and all those folks. I mean, those folks are as biased as can be.
SPEAKER 07 :
Even though I love them for the last couple of days because they put my name on the newscast.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, that’s what I was going to say. Well, not only that, but CBS. I settled down to CBS, and there’s Greg Abbott, an interview. He’s weighing in on a hot topic, and there’s the Mark Davis show. I mean, I love that.
SPEAKER 07 :
Audio courtesy of? It was his interview the day before yesterday, yep.
SPEAKER 05 :
Now, I won’t nitpick and say, why didn’t they say 660 AM The Answer? Okay.
SPEAKER 07 :
Let me pull the curtain back a little bit. First of all, it’s ABC. I don’t want to put you on the spot. No, no, no, no. I’m going to pull the curtain back and go straight to this and, in fact, share a little something else with you with divulgence. My favorite thing when I’m on any kind of national TV show where I’m kindly invited is Mark Davis Show, 660 AM The Answer, Dallas-Fort Worth. That’s a lot of characters. Right. How about the second favorite, Mark Davis, Salem Media? That’s our parent company. Sure. What I’m usually getting these days is Mark Davis, Dallas talk show host. Or, you know, if it’s just crediting me for audio, it’s not like I’m on screen. It’s just audio courtesy of the Mark Davis show. That was ABC last night. The night before last, that was CBS. I’m totally fine with that. I when I was on Will Kane, listen, this is Fox, right? When I was on Will Kane the other day, I shot them a little text because they hadn’t asked. I said, if you want to refer to me, Mark Davis, 660 AM The Answer or Mark Davis, Salem Media Group. And then when I was on so kindly welcomed by then talking to Will, it was great. I think it said Mark Davis. Dallas talk show host. I am not going to quibble. I’m just happy to be there. And on that particular beat, when I walked out of Will Kane, they said, this is cool. Maybe we’ll do this every couple of months. Guess when I’m back. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Good. Good for you. So you know what? It’s like, I don’t care what you call me, just call me.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, yeah, but you’re the talent. And sometimes I look at things from a company perspective. Here’s my gentle pushback. And look, this is way, way inside baseball.
SPEAKER 07 :
Want me to be a nerd?
SPEAKER 05 :
I would look at every national opportunity you have as a way to promote the radio station. Because Dallas talk show host doesn’t mean anything to somebody who lives in Dallas who might want to find you, and they don’t know where you are. There’s an assumption.
SPEAKER 07 :
Al Gore did invent this thing called the Internet. Anybody with five seconds can find me. True. But you’re still right. You’re still right.
SPEAKER 05 :
There’s always an assumption. It’s the weirdest thing. When I went from one station to the other in South Carolina, a lot of people didn’t even know I was on the other station. And they did some billboards, and they had a little bit of an effort. And we’re way inside baseball here. But I just think if I’m your boss, I’m saying, by golly, Mark, you better tell them 660 AM. But it is a good opportunity to tell everybody where you are.
SPEAKER 07 :
That’s why it’s always my favorite thing, and that’s why I always tell them, hey, here’s how to identify me. You know who always does? Chris Coleman, News Nation.
SPEAKER 05 :
Oh, good.
SPEAKER 07 :
I always get call letters from him, although he’s snapped a twig and gone nuts now, so I don’t know.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, yeah, and the good news is Will Kane has about 50 times the audience, so that’s good.
SPEAKER 07 :
And listen, what do I have in common with Trump on the Will Kane show this week? Did you see Will Kane and Trump yesterday?
SPEAKER 05 :
It was awesome. And they ought to use you a lot. Will, you’re right there in Dallas-Fort Worth. That’s where he’s based. I’m in the heartland of America. Is he in the Glenn Beck compound? Is that where his studios are? No, he’s in downtown Dallas. Oh, he’s downtown. Interesting. I hope that’s it. It’s the heartland of America on Main Street in downtown Dallas.
SPEAKER 07 :
All right.
