SPEAKER 03 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior, Mike Gallagher, broadcasting across hundreds of radio stations nationwide and seen on your trusted conservative TV network, Salem News Channel. Here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 09 :
Holy crap. They did it. They’re actually against making D.C. safer. The Democrats are actually embracing resisting making our nation’s capital a safer place. You know, this hit me yesterday. If you were listening or watching the show, you observed me realize as it was all unfolding and the news was coming out and then we carried the Trump press conference with Pete Hegseth and Pam Bondi and Jeanine Pirro and Pete Hegseth. And it occurred to me, oh my gosh, they’re going to actually be against making D.C. a safer place. And I thought, that can’t be. There’s no way. They’re not that crazy. They’re that crazy. Look at the headlines today. Trump’s D.C. police takeover, which everybody normal is embracing. I’m looking at a headline right now. Trump’s D.C. police takeover prompts Democrat backlash. Backlash! They’re opposing making D.C. safer. They’re pretending it’s already safe. Oh, come on. Year-to-date statistics show that the crime levels are decreasing. You can’t go two blocks without being worried about being, you know, carjacked or stabbed or shot or robbed. People are getting mugged everywhere. There’s homeless people sleeping all over the place. But their default, since Trump is doing it successfully, is to oppose it. We are truly living in bananas time. This is bananas. This is bonkers. Absolute bonkers. I mean, and of course, Trump is now… wisely looking at cities like New York and L.A. If he can do it in the District of Columbia, he figures, why can’t we make L.A. safer? Why can’t we? And they’re doing that, incidentally, by deporting a lot of the awful criminal illegals who are admittedly being swept up along with other maybe nonviolent illegals You know, illegal is illegal. You break the law, you break the law. You’re here illegally, you shouldn’t be here. Most Americans understand that. Normal people get that. And there are violent illegals who are being deported, being kicked out, being swept up, and dealt with. And Los Angeles doesn’t want that. The mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, is opposed to this. She doesn’t want… her city safe. I think Democrats love the crime and the violence and the chaos. It goes back to something you and I’ve talked about for years. The destruction of our cities by Democrat leadership is intentional. This is what they want. You don’t believe me? Here’s the mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass.
SPEAKER 05 :
You don’t deploy the armed forces because of people’s feelings. That is just inappropriate. If the statistics say that crime is down, then why would you do that because people feel afraid? Now, I deal with that all the time, and I try to address people’s feelings. I don’t think you just shove statistics in folks, but you do do other things to make them feel safe. You don’t use the military to help people feel better.
SPEAKER 09 :
Can you imagine? Because you know what the feeling is. I can tell you the feeling, dummy. You want to know what the feeling is, mare dummy? Fear. That’s the feeling. You know why people are fearful? Because people are being murdered. People are being robbed. It’s so bad in the District of Columbia that the police department recently gave out free air tags that you could attach to your car to keep track of your car, not if it got stolen, but when it got stolen. Oh, look, I love this. I’m loving all of this. Keep it up, Democrats. Because, look, I’m starting to realize that the Karen Basses of the world are so stupid that they don’t know that normal position-taking would matter. Harold Ford yesterday on The Five on Fox News Channel sounded like Newt Gingrich. Oh, my gosh. Harold Ford, he’s against cash bail. He welcomes the federalization of police in D.C. It’s going to make D.C. safe. Harold Ford. A former congressman from Tennessee as a Democrat. Harold gets it. Be normal. And we’ll have success as a party. But there’s too many of the Karen Basses and not enough of the Harold Fords. Let me get your reaction to all of it as we kick off a Tuesday. 800-655-MIKE in the Relief Factor studios. Great having you here. 800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453. I’m in a great mood today. Had a wonderful visit in the upstate of South Carolina for a few days. Back here at the home base and glad to be with you. Look, I’ve got to get your take on this. Because, again, in real time, it dawned on me yesterday, oh, my Lord, they’re going to be against keeping D.C. safe. The Democrats are going to fight to protect the crime and the violence and the chaos and the mayhem in our big, blue American cities. They want the violence in New York. They want the crime in L.A. They want the murders in D.C. This is what they want. Am I wrong? Do I have this wrong? Ph.D. weight loss has changed my life, and I’ve got a little secret for you. You know Big Pharma and semaglutide and the shots in the belly. You’ve seen the story recently about the study that shows that a lot of people that are getting this are going blind, you don’t want to do this. SPEAKER 1 :
Bye.
SPEAKER 03 :
Breaking now on the Mike Gallagher Show.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, coming from our nation’s capital, which you’re seeing right now if you’re watching us on Salem News Channel, a live look at the mall, our nation’s capital that is becoming safer by the day thanks to our president. Of course, we’re heard daily on AM570, The Answer, in Washington, D.C. Look at this news about inflation. You don’t say. The inflation rate was just released. Inflation held at 2.7% for the year ending in July in the Consumer Price Index. The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the price pressures from tariffs were not as strong as originally feared. What’s that they say? What are the experts saying? Inflation held at 2.7% in July allaying tariff fears? allaying tariff fears. Forecasters thought that inflation would rise for a third straight month, but it didn’t. It held at 2.7%. Trump’s tariffs are working. Guess what? The tariffs are going to create an economic success story that is unlike any Anything we’ve seen in a long, long time. We’re winning. America is winning. America is winning. And the Democrats are spinning. As Christian on my team just pointed out, Mayor Karen Bass in L.A. has now gone full Ben Shapiro. That’s a Ben Shapiro line, you know. Facts don’t care about your feelings. Karen Bass is now invoking Ben Shapiro. Christian, can we play that cut one more time? Because this is as good as it gets. This is the mayor of Los Angeles on CNN last night going. She is now Ben Shapiro’s doppelganger.
Thank you, Ben Shapiro. Oh, wait a minute. No, that’s the Los Angeles mayor, Karen Bass. Now, here’s somebody with some feelings, an ABC News anchor. This is a woman named Kira Phillips. Kira Phillips evidently didn’t get the talking point from the DNC.
SPEAKER 01 :
We’ve been talking so much about the numbers, and yeah, usually that’s how you play devil’s advocate, is you talk about, oh, well, stats say crime is down. However, I can tell you firsthand here in downtown D.C. where we work, right here around our bureau, just in the past six months, there were two people shot, one person died, literally two blocks down here from the bureau. It was within the last two years that I actually was jumped walking just two blocks down from here. And then just this morning, one of my coworkers said her car was stolen a block away from the bureau. So we can talk about the numbers going down, but crime is happening every single day because we’re all experiencing it firsthand while working and living down here.
SPEAKER 09 :
Allow me to remind you that was an ABC News anchor. That was not a host on Newsmax. That wasn’t Laura Ingraham. That wasn’t, you know, Real America. That was Kira Phillips, ABC News. Here’s a text from… Nebraska, which sums it up nicely on the MyPillow text line. Mike, the Dems are lost. They’re spinning in circles because they’ve lost their common sense and love for our country. Graft, corruption, lies, and evil has ruined their love for our country. You really do have to hate America to not want D.C. to be made safer. Honestly, you have to just hate this country. And I go back to my fundamental premise, and I want to get your reaction to this, and please give me a call and tell me if you agree with my theory that the destruction, that the damage, that the chaos from the Democrat-led cities and states is intentional. There’s no way this is an accident. There’s no way this is not accidental. This is intentional. Dave is in Columbus, Ohio. 24 past the hour. Our number again is 800-655. Mike, David, welcome aboard. How are you?
SPEAKER 04 :
Great, thank you. Good. You know, they keep talking about the statistics, but if they have laws where you can’t arrest or prosecute, let’s say, juveniles, and you have gangs that have juveniles stealing 100 cars, And is that a statistic that says there was no car stolen? If you have 100 muggings and, let’s say, a prosecutor doesn’t prosecute them, does that mean there’s no muggings?
SPEAKER 09 :
That’s a good question. Well, David, to your point, there is a real understanding that juvenile crime in D.C. is completely out of control. Jeanine Pirro talked about it yesterday in part of the press conference that we carried where she said this stops right now. But see, in D.C. and in many blue cities, they coddle juveniles. They say if you commit a crime under 18, oh, that’s not really a crime. We’ll hold your hand and we’ll wipe your nose and your you-know-what and we’ll treat you like the poor baby that we think you are. No, the people that are carjacking and murdering and, in many cases, committing very grown-up crimes, they’re 16, 17 years old. Mike’s in Atlanta. Hey, Mike, welcome. How are you? I’m great.
SPEAKER 07 :
How are you, Mike? I’m great. Appreciate your call. Hey, let me just tell you one statistic, and I know that I agree with you, first of all, 100%. This data… is being fudged to some degree, and the Democrats don’t want to fix it. And here’s my example. Since Mariel Bowser became the mayor of the city of Washington, D.C., there have been over 2,000 murders. Just in the 10 years she’s been the mayor, she has done nothing about it. The average is well over 200 per year, some a little higher, some a little lower. The town is only 700,000. That means one in every 350 people that lives in that city, unless something is done, will be dead within 10 years from murder if this trend doesn’t get fixed.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, Mike, but it’s not only statistics. I would make the case, and I’d love for somebody to challenge me, I would make the argument that the data doesn’t matter if the intention is to make a place like the District of Columbia safer. It doesn’t matter what the data says. Let’s say the data is showing that it was better this year than it was last year. Does that mean there’s no crime whatsoever in D.C.? Of course not. Of course that doesn’t mean that. If Trump is saying after the kid from Doge got the snot beat out of him by a pack of carjackers while he’s trying to defend a young woman and it got Trump’s attention and he hears the Kira Phillipses and he hears the people and he talks to the mothers and fathers of young interns who were murdered in the streets, if all that’s true, and it is, Why would Democrats fight to keep D.C. unsafe? Why would they object? Why would they fight against it? You want to know why? I believe this. Tell me if I’m wrong. I think they want the crime. I think they want the chaos. They want the damage. They want the destruction. 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. Every single day it’s a joy to remind you that portions of our show are sponsored by MyPillow. The Mike Gallagher Show on Salem News Channel and the Salem Radio Network.
SPEAKER 06 :
I see too much violent crime being committed by young punks who think that they can get together in gangs and crews and beat the hell out of you or anyone else. They don’t care where they are. They can be in DuPont Circle, but they know that we can’t touch them. Why? Because the laws are weak.
SPEAKER 03 :
In the ReliefFactor.com studios, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 09 :
One more note about the crime statistics in D.C. You know, the Democrats are loving this whole narrative. Oh, the crime statistics are down in our big blue cities. Crime is falling in places like D.C. Charlie Kirk, star of stage and screen. I can’t wait to see Charlie and ask him about South Park. There was Charlie as portrayed by Cartman on South Park, and Charlie loved it. And you know what the Democrats hated? They hated the fact that Charlie loved it. They didn’t like the fact that Charlie got a kick out of it, out of him being, you know, lampooned on the popular cartoon South Park. Anyway, Charlie writes on X, here’s an important story everyone is missing, and it was just flagged for me by someone in the know. When Trump floated the idea of seizing federal control over Washington, D.C. to stop crime, the media raced to point out that crime is falling. Now, obviously, residents… ABC News anchors, the police union in D.C., they all report otherwise, but the science suggests that the city is safer than it’s been in years. Just one problem, as Charlie wrote. At this very moment, a D.C. police commander, a guy by the name of Michael Pulliam, He’s been suspended and is under investigation for allegedly falsifying the crime statistics to make them look lower than reality. And according to the D.C. Police Union, his suspension is just the tip of the iceberg. The union says its own investigation has revealed that cops all over the city are routinely pressured by command staff to downgrade felonies so they don’t appear on on the FBI Violent Crime Database. As Charlie asks, How much of the crime drop, quote unquote, is just Democrat machine politicians lying to the public? Look, I mentioned Ben Shapiro and his famous facts don’t care about your feelings mantra. Ben also had a mantra I remember years ago citing at the beginning of the Democrats spiral. And they have spiraled. They’ve spiraled into embracing socialism, communism, violence, chaos, anarchy. And Ben said years ago, all they have to do is act normal. That’s all they have to do. I mean, they’re always, on any 80-20 issue, they’re always in the 20%. They’re always, they go, these days, today’s Democrats go to the radical extremist position on just about everything Americans are grappling with. And when a Democrat comes along who acts normal, that’s the outlier. I mentioned Harold Ford yesterday. Check out what he said about this ridiculous outlier. dastardly, catastrophic policy that the Democrats came up with, inspired by George Soros’ prosecutors, cashless bail.
SPEAKER 02 :
If you’re worried about your kids, worried about yourself, worried about your families, you want someone and you’re expecting government to step up to the plate. I’d say one thing to everybody, New Yorkers, people who live in Maryland, people who live in Colorado, people who live in Illinois, Florida, Georgia, we need to end cash bail. This no cash bail thing has not worked. Now, there were many who thought it might work because you’re going to let people people going to jail to spend more. They were spending more time waiting for their trial than they were if they got convicted of something. But we’re seeing now that the thing doesn’t work. There ought to be a bipartisan effort to say, look, let’s end it now. Whether you’re whether you’re a Democrat that supported it in the past, it just didn’t work. And we ought to be willing to admit that any Republican or Democrat has an idea that we’ll just admit when it doesn’t work. This one has not worked. We should get away from it.
SPEAKER 09 :
That’s a Democrat, former Democrat congressman Harold Ford on the 5. Now, that’s a Democrat who says something normal. You want to know, and I am always fascinated by the no cash bail policy that lunatic leftists have come up with. You know what the goal is? Look, you can look up the definition, the actual textbook definition of no cash bail. You know what the goal is? Do you know what the goal is for a policy where a criminal who commits a dangerous, violent crime is released from custody before trial without having to post bail? You want to know what the goal is? And I’m reading, this is right out of the book here. The goal is to reduce financial burdens on low-income defendants. and address inequities in pretrial detention. Supporters say it reduces jail overcrowding. Right, because we don’t want criminals in jail, do we? We don’t want people who commit crimes. to be incarcerated, and we sure don’t want a poor violent criminal to have to figure out a way to come up with bail. You know, rich criminals, they’ve got bail money. Poor criminals don’t have bail money. So the poorer you are, the more violent you can be. Don’t just kill one person, kill five. Don’t just mow one person over with the car. You can get a whole gaggle of us. Take us all out in one fell swoop. Because if you’re poor, well, these rabid leftist prosecutors, they got your back. They got your back. They got you. You’re covered. Golly. All they have to do is be normal. And they can’t be normal. Do you agree with me? And I mean this sincerely, and I’d love to get a consensus. I want you to flood my phone lines with your answer to my question. Are the Democrats doing this intentionally? Are they destroying our cities, our communities on purpose? I have friends who are Democrats. I do. I’ve got friends who disagree with my worldview. I’ve got friends in my life who don’t see things the way I do. Okay. That’s life. That’s America. You have a right to feel however you want to feel. You have a right to believe whatever you want to believe. But when you see now Democrats actively opposing a move to make the District of Columbia a safer. That tells me that the chaos and the crime that’s occurring right now is something that the Democrats want to happen. They want the chaos because they crave control and power. And somehow they think if they can destroy our cities, they can be in control. They can continue to call the shots. I mean, look, the D.C. police union is completely opposed to this pushback. The D.C. police union, these are the men and women with skin in the game. These are the ones in the trenches. The police union is completely on board with what Trump is doing. I mean, the D.C. Police Union issued a statement that frankly is stunning. The statement said, this is the union president, Greg Pemberton. This is the union that represents the men and women of law enforcement in the District of Columbia, okay? Here’s the union chairman. We stand with the president in recognizing that Washington, D.C. cannot continue on this trajectory. Crime is out of control, and our officers are stretched beyond their limits. The federal intervention is a critical stopgap. But the MPD needs proper staffing and support to thrive. This can only happen by repealing the disastrous policies that have driven out our best officers and hindered recruitment. When you’ve got the cops in the District of Columbia confirming that crime is spiraling out of control, you recognize that for the Democrats to oppose Trump’s efforts to make D.C. safer Of course they’re anti-law enforcement. Of course the cops are anti-cop. That’s just for starters. I believe they’re doing this intentionally to destroy our cities. I believe they want this country to fail. Tell me if you agree with me or not. 800-655-MIKE. What are the reasons that Democrats would oppose making communities safer? Help me understand it.

Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 09 :
Here’s George Will. This is the establishment Republican, been around 100 years, explaining why as a Republican he wants an actual communist like Zoran Mamdani to win the mayor’s race in New York City.
SPEAKER 13 :
This must be horrible for a guy like you, who you spent your whole life talking about how government tries to do too much, which it does, and spends too much. And here you have Trump, who is the Republican, who is aggrandizing more power than anybody, as we just talked about. And on the other side, you have the guy running in New York, Mandami. Right? Okay, who’s like a straight-up communist. I mean, he is. He talks about, you know, the things that communists say. I mean, he wants free grocery stores, free buses. I want him to win. You want him to win? Yeah.
SPEAKER 12 :
I think every 20 years or so… Wait. Every 20 years or so, we need a conspicuous, confined experiment with socialism so we can crack it up again. Socialist slogan used to be workers of the world unite. You have nothing to lose but your chains. The new socialist slogan is trust us this time. It won’t be a mess. So when the post-war labor government in Britain was about to get started, one of their leading lights was a socialist named Anurian Bevan. He said, what could go wrong? He said, we have a nation bedded on coal, surrounded by fish. It would take an organizational genius to have a shortage of either. In three years, they had a shortage of both. That’s socialism.
SPEAKER 09 :
Look, if you can make any sense out of that, you’re a better person than I am. That’s George Wilk. Coming up, I want to pay a visit with somebody from the AARP. Doing a good job looking out for seniors. That and a whole lot more as we kick off a busy, busy Tuesday. It’s great having you along for the ride.
SPEAKER 03 :
Mike Gallagher. Every day Mike visits with Mark Davis. Morning host on 660 AM The Answer in Dallas. Here’s today’s Eminem experience.
SPEAKER 09 :
I remembered years ago I was invited to be an extra in a movie or a TV show. And here’s the weird part about this. I remember that Andrew Breitbart was the guest celebrity cameo the week before. The week before I did it.
SPEAKER 11 :
Was this when you guys were in powdered wigs like the Founding Fathers or something?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yes. How do you remember this? Now, I couldn’t remember it. All right, so I’m in powdered wigs.
SPEAKER 11 :
I can’t find my car keys, but I know stuff Mike did in past decades.
SPEAKER 09 :
But you want to know who doesn’t know what Mike did decades? Mike. Mike Hicks. I have no memory of this at all. That’s why you have me. That’s why you have me. Mark, it’s terrible. I mean, I don’t want to… Look, I’m nervous about… Sometimes I think my memory’s pretty good, but I don’t remember… I didn’t remember the name of it. I didn’t remember where I went. I remember I went into the woods somewhere, and it was a big movie set, and they had, like, you know, a trailer for us and a… If I’m ever on a movie set doing actual something, I’ll remember it for the rest of my life.
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, maybe it’s because it’ll be a singular event for me, and you’re on the Broadway stage of it. No, no, it would have been a big deal.
SPEAKER 09 :
I mean, I’ve done two movies. I did a Jackie Mason movie. I kind of remember that. I was the prosecutor in that. Twelve Angry Men. Jackie, God rest his soul, invited me to come on. He was a big fan of the show, and I came on and did a little role, along with Mark Levin. He was the judge. Mark Levin was the judge in the movie, and I was the prosecutor.
SPEAKER 11 :
This was an actual movie?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yes. IMDb is… IMDb at 12 Angry Men with Jackie Mason with Mike Gallagher as the prosecutor and Mark Levin as the judge. Now, I also did a movie about, and I have no idea, any memory of this, who invited me, why I was there. All I remembered was that Andrew Breitbart was there the week before. They were all buzzing about Andrew Breitbart. He put on a powdered wig and did the same thing. A listener emailed me last night. and reminded me it’s called Courage, New Hampshire. So I Googled it. I went to YouTube, in fact, and I put in Courage, New Hampshire, Mike Gallagher, and they played my scene. Mark, it’s so bad, my ears and my eyes started bleeding. I got this stupid powdered wig on. They’re about to hang a guy, and I’ve got the most horrific British accent. And my eyes are bulging out. It’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever done in my life. Maybe that’s why I blocked it out. Because I have no memory of it at all. Well, we need audio like today. I know. Well, I’m embarrassed about it, but I was going to tell the team.
SPEAKER 11 :
That’s why we need audio today.
SPEAKER 09 :
I know. You’re right. I have a hunch. I would do it. I’ll bet by the end of our segment when we talk about Trump’s maniacal fascistic dictator move. Authoritarian. Authoritarian. We talk about D.C. and crime. I’ll bet you the team, I’ll bet Christian and Eric can figure out. How to Google Courage New Hampshire. Go to YouTube, guys. Courage New Hampshire, Mike Gallagher. It’s only like a 30. I’ve got one line. And it’s so bad. I say, and it’s a horror. I can’t do accents. You, on the other hand, you do great accents. Mr. Showbiz Mike, Broadway Mike, I can’t ever do accents.
SPEAKER 11 :
You remember what the line was? What was the line again?
SPEAKER 09 :
Like something about, are you going to live? Oh, no, it’s bad. The guys will find it. It was Gorka.
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, yeah. It’s just Gorka.
SPEAKER 09 :
I try to do Gorka to imitate a British accent. We ought to encourage New Hampshire, Mike. Remember when I played Mr. Bumble at Dallas’ Lyric Stage in a production of Oliver and the great… Well, the director, Cheryl Denson, we were halfway through rehearsals, and I am in flop sweat trying to do a British accent because everybody’s got to have a British accent. And Mr. Bumble, of course, the workhouse guy that is mean to the kids and everything, got to have a British accent. Halfway through the rehearsals, Cheryl, in her dry wit, looks up to me and she says… Mike, are you going to start the British accent anytime soon? I’m studying. I’m trying. I can’t do it. I can’t do a British accent. I can’t do it.
SPEAKER 11 :
That’s why I don’t understand accents on TV. Well, I was going to say this is probably where your aversion came from because I keep giving him these wonderful shows like the fantastic Scottish procedural drama, police procedural called Department Q, because everybody is walking around saying, I don’t know where the body is lost. I’ve got to find it. Captain, I can’t do it. I’ve got no power.
SPEAKER 09 :
See? See how good your accent is? See? I can’t do it. I can’t do it. So we’ll see if Christian can come up with it. We’ll play it before the segment’s over. Courage, New Hampshire. Mike Gallagher as some weird village idiot with a powdered wig on and with a bad British accent.
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, there are people who have struggled with accents because we’re talking about Kevin Costner, whom I love. And he was in Bodyguard with Whitney Houston, a movie I just found to be lame. But he’s so great, so great in Yellowstone. And he’s been so great in, oh, gosh, Dances with Wolves, one of my favorite movies ever. But Costner’s been in some absolute duds from Tin Cup with Rene Russo. A lot of people didn’t like Waterworld. I actually did.
SPEAKER 09 :
I like Waterworld.
SPEAKER 11 :
But where I’m going here is Robin Hood. During the same movie, his accent appears, disappears, appears, disappears, so you’re in good company.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, remember, hey, famously Dick Van Dyke as Bert in Mary Poppins. He was mocked for one of the worst British accents ever.
SPEAKER 11 :
That was terrible.
SPEAKER 09 :
To this day, Dick Van Dyke jokes about it, saying that no… And here we’ve got Julie Andrews, he’s co-starring with a Brit. She had to be mortified. Because, I mean, you know, he’s… And I’ve got a really good friend who’s a British actor in New York. He and his wife always kid about bad British accents. But, you know, so what? Accents are accents.
SPEAKER 11 :
I would say that it is not easy to do. And yet, find me Sarah Snook. Who’s Australian. And she was Shiv in Succession. Find me… Oh, who is in… Who’s the Australian… She’s in Platonic with Seth Rogen. A lot of Australians. Australians and Brits. Hugh Jackman. You’ll watch a show, and you’ll love a show, and you’ll find that… Seven or eight of the people in this American show about American stuff are British or Australian doing drop-dead perfect American accents, which, of course, to me means burn.
SPEAKER 09 :
I know. All right, here we go. Let’s end this with the thorough and total humiliation of Mike Gallagher. The crew found it. I give you Mike as some weird sot in some village weird exchange from the series that nobody probably watched. courage new hampshire this is from like oh my guess 20 years ago bless the government he’s a fair man pay he pay he do my sorry and that was it that was it that was it that was my line right at the very beginning do it again real quick do it again christian’s the very beginning this is me bless the government he’s a fair man
SPEAKER 08 :
Look how bad that is.
SPEAKER 11 :
What do you say before he’s a fair man? I think I’m saying bless the government. He’s a fair man. Mike Gallagher saying bless the government? No kidding.
SPEAKER 09 :
I’m trying to do a British accent badly. Look how bad that is. He’s a fair man. He’s a fair man. One more time, Christian. Let’s hear it one more time.
SPEAKER 08 :
Bless the government. He’s a fair man.
SPEAKER 09 :
It gets worse. It gets worse.
SPEAKER 11 :
It gets worse.
SPEAKER 09 :
That’s awful. Oh, no. Dick Van Dyke sounds like Winston Churchill compared to me. That’s awful.
SPEAKER 10 :
He’s John Gielgud.
SPEAKER 09 :
He is. It’s Sir John Gielgud. Lawrence Olivier. You know, that’s bad. That’s bad. I’m sorry. I love you, man. That’s something. I love you, too.
SPEAKER 10 :
But there you are in a full costume and a powdered wig doing a real TV show.
SPEAKER 09 :
That’s awesome. I haven’t done that. I don’t remember where. I think it was in North. The IMDB said it was filmed in New Hampshire, but I don’t think I went to New Hampshire.
SPEAKER 11 :
I’m going to tell you something, Dave. If you need another reason to love the Founding Fathers, whom I love no matter what, imagine how hot and uncomfortable and everything you were. They were there in Philadelphia in July wearing all those get-ups with all the stockings and the wigs and stuff like that. Can you imagine just the hygienic issues alone as they’re trying to craft a country? God bless the Founding Fathers.
SPEAKER 09 :
You know what you made me think of? Broadway Mike, my wife’s favorite musical of all time. Sit down, John. Sit down, John. You know what that’s from? Sit down, John. John, sit down. Wow, that’s 1776. Oh, there you go.
