Join Mike Gallagher as he delves into the ongoing political turmoil that is shaking up the Republican Party. With President Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene at odds over key issues, Gallagher dissects the implications of their heated exchanges and what it means for the future of American politics. This episode takes a closer look at the controversial push to release the Epstein files, the ensuing political schism, and the impact on party unity.
SPEAKER 05 :
November is National Family Caregivers Month. One in four Americans is stepping up to help older loved ones with everything from meals to bills. Family caregivers spend thousands out of their own pockets each year, and too many have to quit their jobs to keep providing care. Working families can’t afford to wait. It’s time to care for America’s caregivers. Learn more at aarp.org slash care for caregivers. Paid for by AARP.

From the wild world of D.C. politics to America’s culture clash, brace yourself for the reality check you’ve been waiting for. The one and only Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 08 :
I hate it when I come into work with the germ of an idea. I have a pretty good idea of something kind of funny. Remember the phrase, release the Kraken? And that’s from Clash of the Titans, right? But there’s a funny version of it, and I think it’s from one of the Austin Powers movies. I can see the lady in my head, and she’s screaming, release this, and release something. But I can’t remember what it is. And the team is scrambling. Because I thought it would be kind of funny, now that President Trump wants the Epstein files to be released, to play that sound effect as we’re talking about the Epstein files finally being released. President Trump, over the weekend, is urging Republicans to release the Epstein files. And this is, no matter how you look at it, a big development. And I’m trying to think of the lady… Because I can see her. I don’t really remember the Austin Powers movie. I haven’t watched one of them in years. Kind of funny. I remember it was mildly amusing. But there was a lady, like some nurse or some… She was a Nazi or something. And she would scream, Release the… I’ve seen the internet meme. And people are like… Can somebody point us to the right direction so that I can play the right sound effect? before we ask you why it’s taken this long, and has now apparently fractured a relationship between two people that I don’t like to see fighting. You know, there’s this sort of supposition that we all have to choose now between Marjorie Taylor Greene and Donald Trump. I don’t want to choose between the two of them. I don’t like the two of them fighting with each other. I don’t like President Trump mad at her. I don’t like what she’s claiming. She’s saying that now she’s being victimized for challenging Trump on a number of his policies and positions. Look, she’s a tough lady. She’s a big girl, and if she wants to take on the president, okay, I guess she knows what she’s doing. She’s challenging him on a number of positions, and if you’re going to challenge him, at some point, he’s going to lose patience. And he has clearly lost patience with Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia. And it apparently, according to her, has a lot to do with the Epstein files. President Trump wrote on social media, as I said Friday night aboard Air Force One to the fake news media, House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files because we have nothing to hide. It’s time to move on from this Democrat hoax perpetrated by radical left lunatics in order to deflect from the great success of the Republican Party, including our recent victory on the Democrat shutdown. I mean, this thing is a must. Somebody’s saying it’s the fembots? Is that what she was… Mike in Myrtle Beach is saying that. Mike, the line from Austin Powers is, bring on the fembots?
SPEAKER 02 :
Mike! Yeah, that’s… Is it the fembots? It’s not release. It’s bring on the fembots. Bring on the… And they come out and then… And it’s some of that woman that looks like she’s like a Nazi woman or something, right? Yeah, Austin Powers uses his mojo to… I got you.
SPEAKER 08 :
All right. So not release, but bring on the fembots. I don’t even know what a fembot is. But everybody’s telling me there’s all these texts coming in, Iowa, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, bring on the fembots. I don’t remember what the fembots are. Let me play Scott Jeffries. Look, I don’t want to pick, again, I don’t want to choose sides. I feel like a big baby here. I don’t want to pick between Marjorie Taylor Greene and Donald Trump. But if you have to, I have a feeling I know where most people are going to go. I’m not sure a lot of us are unaware of Trump’s propensity for… dispatching with somebody he doesn’t agree with or doesn’t like to turn on him. Republicans can turn on Trump. Now, I’m not saying that’s the case with Marjorie Taylor Greene. I don’t know that she’s turning on him. She’s just questioning and challenging a number of his policies. Here’s the way Scott Jennings lays it out on CNN over the weekend.
SPEAKER 07 :
She said that the president is effectively lying when he said that he told her not to run for that governor’s mansion or the Senate.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, well, I think I think it’s technically true based on what I’ve heard and what I know that he didn’t tell her not to run. But what she didn’t say was that. He sent her a poll privately, discreetly, and it had information in it. And it showed her down 20 points to John Ossoff. And so in politics, when you want to send a message to someone that you like or that has been an ally, you don’t embarrass them publicly. You privately send them information and show them what the reality is. And so I think it’s true that he didn’t tell her not to run. But it’s also true that he did her a big favor, which is to show her information that a candidacy statewide in Georgia for her would have been a disaster.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, now they’re at the proverbial loggerheads. Now it’s bad. Trump has withdrawn his support for her. He has denounced her. He is calling her Marjorie Trader Green. In fact, somebody asked him about it last night. I think it was on the tarmac where Air Force One was parked. And he did not have anything nice to say about the gentle congresswoman from Georgia.
SPEAKER 11 :
could be a danger because of the rhetoric? Her life is in danger? Who’s that?
SPEAKER 13 :
Marjorie Taylor Greene, she says.
SPEAKER 11 :
Marjorie Trader Greene. I don’t think her life is in danger. I don’t think, frankly, I don’t think anybody cares about her.
SPEAKER 08 :
Oh, boy. Here we go. Here we go. Here she was yesterday. She was back on CNN. And this isn’t good. She’s pointing out that President Trump’s criticism of her is, in fact, jeopardizing her.
SPEAKER 13 :
I have something in my heart that I think is incredibly important for our country, and that is to end the toxic fighting in politics. And this has been going on for years, and it has divided our country, split up friends and families, neighbors, and it’s not solving our problems. The most hurtful thing he said, which is absolutely untrue, is he called me a traitor. And that is… That is so extremely wrong, and those are the types of words used that can radicalize people against me and put my life in danger.
SPEAKER 08 :
Gosh, I hate this. I hate every aspect of this. So, look, let me turn it over to you, 800-655-MIKE, as we kick things off for a Monday in the Relief Factor Studios. Big win for the Denver Broncos yesterday. I’ve become a Denver Broncos fan now, sort of because of a friend of mine who loves Denver. And he and his wife were cheering on their victory yesterday. Big win for the Clemson Tigers. That was a fun game to watch. Kind of a quiet, I got all the Christmas stuff up in the condo this weekend. It was Christmas weekend. Good stuff, though. Good stuff to tackle on a Monday. Let me just turn it over to you, 800-655-MIKE. What do you make of this rift between President Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene? Do you think she has it coming? Do you hate that President Trump is being critical of her? Do you hate that she’s been critical of him? Let’s dive in. 800-655-MIKE. And I want to put your voice front and center here on the Mike Gallagher Show. 800-655-6453. Join us. That’s a strange way to tell me. You ready to drop up to 20 pounds or more by the new year? SPEAKER 09 :
From the wild world of D.C. politics to America’s culture clash, brace yourself for the reality check you’ve been waiting for. The one and only Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 08 :
Is it a Chinese proverb that says, may you live in interesting times? Boy, oh boy, are we living through some interesting times, huh? Golly, I didn’t really have President Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene going to war on my bingo card. I hate every aspect of this. I don’t like this big battle that we’re witnessing among our ranks. I mean, look, we were always unified until we’re not. Big headline from Axios this morning, Trump defends Tucker Carlson. as the Nick Fuentes interview divides MAGA world. The left just loves this. The Trump haters are eating this up. They’re so excited that there is a battle here all to do with Epstein. It seems, or a big part of it is the Epstein file, but yes, it’s the Nick Fuentes thing. Tucker interviewed Nick Fuentes. President Trump was asked about that. A reporter said, well, what do you make of Tucker Carlson sitting down with a white nationalist like Nick Fuentes?
SPEAKER 01 :
Tucker Carlson recently had a friendly interview with anti-Semite Nick Puentes. Who did? Tucker Carlson. What role do you think Tucker Carlson should play in the Republican Party, the conservative movement?
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, I found him to be good. I mean, he said good things about me over the years. I think he’s good. We’ve had some good interviews. I did an interview with him. We were at 300 million hits. You know that. Look, I can’t tell him… Will you let me finish my thing? You are the worst. You’re with Bloomberg, right? You are the worst. I don’t know why they even have you. We’ve had some great interviews with Tucker Carlson, but you can’t tell him who to interview. I mean, if he wants to interview Nick Fuentes, I don’t know much about him, but if he wants to do it, get the word out. Let him, you know, people have to decide. Ultimately, people have to decide.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, he also, I was coming to work trying to think of Frau, what’s her name? Fibishine? Frau Fibishine from Austin Powers. And she would always yell, release the fembots! Release them! And she would scream. And somebody, I think, made an AI version of her character saying, release the Epstein files. Go ahead, Christian. This is from X. Hit it.
SPEAKER 15 :
Release the Epstein files!
SPEAKER 08 :
Now, the AI version doesn’t have the German accent that Frau Frabisina had. Kind of a British accent there. You’ve got to do that with the… With the German accent. How about the little montage from the actual Frau Fabissina character from Austin Powers? This is what I was thinking of when President Trump finally said, release the files. He told House Republicans, look, release it. House Republicans should vote to release the Jeffrey Epstein files because we have nothing to hide. Made me think of Frau Fabissina.
SPEAKER 15 :
Dr. Evil, I want you to meet your son. My son? Yeah. Scott! Oh. I mean, this is what I kept thinking about was Frau Frabisina.
SPEAKER 08 :
So President Trump has got all Frau Frabisina. Now release the Epstein. Good. I just don’t understand why they haven’t till now. And the craziest part is I’ve asked you a million times, why has there been any resistance to release these files? Now there’s going to be a big vote. Heck, Mike Johnson allegedly didn’t want to swear in a member of Congress because she was going to cast the deciding vote to release the files. Trump has kind of dragged his feet. He didn’t want the files released. I am so sick of this, but get it over with. Here’s what President Trump wrote on Truth Social. House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files. We have nothing to hide. It’s time to move on from this Democrat hoax perpetuated, or perpetrated rather, I always get those two words mixed up, by the radical left lunatics in order to deflect from the great success of the Republican Party, including our recent victory on the Democrat shutdown. The DOJ has already turned over tens of thousands of pages to the public on Epstein. They’re looking at various Democrat operatives like Bill Clinton, Reid Hoffman, Larry Summers, etc., and their relationship to Epstein. And the House Oversight Committee can have whatever they are legally entitled to. I don’t care, he writes in all caps. All I do care about is that Republicans get back on point, which is the economy, affordability, where we are winning big, he insists. Our victory on reducing inflation from the highest level in history to practically nothing, bringing down prices for the American people, delivering historic tax cuts, gaining trillions of dollars of investment into America, which is a record, the rebuilding of our military, securing our border, deporting criminal illegal aliens, ending men and women’s sports, stopping transgender for everyone, and so much more. Nobody cared about Jeffrey Epstein when he was alive. And if the Democrats had anything, they would have released it before our landslide election victory. Some members, quote-unquote, of the Republican Party are being used. And we cannot let that happen. Let’s start talking about the Republican Party’s record-setting achievements and not fall into the Epstein trap, which is actually a curse on the Democrats, not us. Make America great again. Isn’t he right? This has just been a total crap show. And I’ve just been yearning to find one person to tell me what the holdup has been on releasing all the Epstein files. You should have heard the conversation I had with Mark Davis this morning in Dallas. One of the worst responses I’ve ever heard him say, and I love the guy. I said, Mark, why do you think that Trump has been reluctant to release the Epstein files? He said, well, it’s probably because it’s like grand jury testimony. It might smear people. I think Trump has reviewed it, and Republicans have reviewed the files, and they decided there wasn’t anything worth releasing. What? That can’t be the reason. They’ve reviewed the files and there’s nothing worth releasing, so now they’re not releasing it? Give me a break. That’s not an answer. You know, one of the working theories is that President Trump has some powerful, influential friends that might be somehow embroiled in this. He doesn’t want to get them embarrassed. And not that they’ve necessarily done anything wrong or criminal, not that they’ve been a pedophile or they’ve hurt children, but that they knew Jeffrey Epstein. And he knows that anybody in these files that knew Jeffrey Epstein who is in the files, is going to get smeared. I’m going to try one more time. One more attempt. What has the reluctance been to release the Epstein files? 800-655-MIKE. I want to start there here on a Monday. Hope you had a great weekend. We’re kicking things off for a big week in the Relief Factor studios. 800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453. What in the world has been the reluctance of anyone to release these files? And I can’t get anybody to give me a straight answer. I’m not kidding you. Mark’s answer this morning was so nonsensical, and he’s not a nonsensical guy. But there has to be a reason that there’s been this about-face. Well, now the about-face is President Trump is now telling Republicans, release all the files. Get it done. Fine. Release them.
SPEAKER 06 :
Good.
SPEAKER 08 :
Good.
SPEAKER 06 :
Good. In the new movie, Call Sign Courage, Space Force Commander Matt Lohmeyer stands up against woke Marxist ideologies threatening our military.
SPEAKER 12 :
Inclusion, equality are what’s important to us. Share your pronouns in your email. Initiate difficult conversations about racial and gender barriers. Lethality matters. Merit based selection and promotions matter. And your ideology doesn’t matter one bit. He told a story from inside out that nobody really had ever heard. You strip merit out of the picture and people don’t know whether they earned the badge. Everyone gets an award. You know, he needs to shut up and get his pension. Race identity politics, critical race theory, white fragility, your white guilt, your white supremacy. But he knew that if he didn’t speak up, no one else was going to speak up. We need lethality in the military. Period.
SPEAKER 06 :
The career officers kicked him out, and then President Trump put him in charge of solving the problem.
SPEAKER 11 :
We’re not going to get better than him.

SPEAKER 08 :
Why can’t we all just get along? Why can’t we just all get along? Kumbaya. I got all the Christmas decorations out over the weekend. I was watching football. I had the TV on. Got Christmas carols going. I’ve got the MAGA tree outside our studios here. Tracy’s going to start decorating it this week. I bought some MAGA ornaments. You should see some of these funny Christmas ornaments I got on Amazon of Trump dancing, doing the Trump dance. MAGA. I like the one that shows Trump in front of the White House. He’s wearing a Santa Claus hat, and it says, Daddy’s home. Can’t we get along? My gosh, we got Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene. We got Mark Levin and Tucker Carlson. We got Candace Owens and everybody else. And we’re just handing the Democrats a pass on all of their failures. A lot of it has to do with Epstein. Right? A lot of it has to do with the Epstein files. President Trump… kind of reversed course a little bit over the weekend, and he said, hey, release the files. It’s like Frau Frobissina from Austin Powers. Release the fembots! Somebody made an AI version of Frau Frobissina from the Austin Powers movies. She looks the part, doesn’t really sound like it, a British accent, but it still kind of fits. The Frau for Abyssinia. Release the files. Let’s try again. Take two.
SPEAKER 15 :
Release the Epstein files.
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, it sounds like President Trump is telling Republicans, please do so. Get it over with. Let’s just get it all out there. We’ll let the chips fall where they may. And incidentally, somebody just posted… What’s his name, Cenk Uygur? Cenk Uygur, he’s a big hero of the left, that big bombastic guy. He posted, there are two ways to look at Trump crumbling on the Epstein files. He was responsive to his base, who was starting to think he was full of crap, or now that they had months to scrub the blank out of those files, they don’t mind releasing the rest. Look, that’s what panic looks like, okay? They’re panicking. And I have a hunch this is going to backfire on the Democrats. And they’re already trying to line up their line of defense. Oh, the files have been scrubbed. I saw the Daily Beast. Trump with a humiliating reversal on Epstein. What’s humiliating about it? You wanted him to release the Epstein files. Now that he’s releasing the Epstein files, you say he’s being humiliated. Well, that’s… The whole point. It’s all just ginned up to hurt Trump. And these battles, these squabbles with Marjorie Taylor Greene and Tucker Carlson. Trump was asked about Tucker, the whole big… And a lot has to do with Israel. Those of us who stand with Israel and support Israel were put in a bad position here with people like Nick Fuentes and Marjorie Taylor Greene. They don’t want American resources going to Israel. They want America first and America only. Here’s what President Trump said over the weekend when he was asked about Tucker Carlson interviewing Nick Fuentes.
SPEAKER 01 :
Tucker Carlson recently had a friendly interview with anti-Semite Nick Fuentes. Tucker Carlson, what role do you think Tucker Carlson should play in the Republican Party and the conservatives?
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, I found him to be good. He said good things about me over the years. I think he’s good. We’ve had some good interviews. I did an interview with him. We were at 300 million hits. You know that. Look, I can’t tell him. Will you let me finish my thing? You are the worst. You’re with Bloomberg, right? You are the worst. I don’t know why they even have you. We’ve had some great interviews with Tucker Carlson, but you can’t tell him who to interview. I mean, if he wants to interview Nick Fuentes, I don’t know much about him, but if he wants to do it, get the word out. Let him, you know, people have to decide. Ultimately, people have to decide.
SPEAKER 08 :
I wonder what that feels like if you’re a reporter and the most powerful man in the world berates you like that. Your heart just has to sink. Would you be quiet? Who are you again? You’re from Bloomberg? You’re the worst. I don’t even know why they have you here. Can you imagine what that must feel like? I guess Marjorie Taylor Greene knows what it feels like now because President Trump has withdrawn his endorsement and his support. from one of his most fervent backers, at least up to now, at least up to recently, Marjorie Taylor Greene. So all of this battling going on internally, and it gives me a headache because all the time we’re squabbling amongst ourselves, we’re not looking at the real political opponents, leftist Democrats who want to continue to destroy and derail And there’s a lot of people who are going to look at 2028, which brings us to Senator Ted Cruz. I’m surprised this hasn’t gotten more airplay yet. I think it will. Axios has a big scoop. Reporter Alex Eisenstadt from Axios reports that Texas Senator Ted Cruz is laying the groundwork for a 2028 presidential bid by leaning into his feud with Tucker Carlson and staking out turf as a traditional pro-interventionist Republican. Now, as soon as I saw this article, I thought, I’ve got to bring this before the audience. I’ve got to find out what you make of that. Cruz is poking at Tucker’s isolationist foreign policy views and, of course, accusing him of being anti-Semitic and more. And according to Axios, Ted Cruz is now putting himself on a collision course with Vice President J.D. Vance, who’s a Tucker Carlson ally widely seen as the 2028 GOP frontrunner. The senator is also diving into issues that are tearing at President Trump’s MAGA movement, namely ideological differences over Israel. Now, the reaction to that, Tucker Carlson laughed Ted Cruz off in a text message to Axios, calling it hilarious. Good luck, Tucker said. That’s my comment and heartfelt view. Here’s some examples of Ted Cruz going after Tucker. During a late October speech before the Republican Jewish Coalition, Ted Cruz called Tucker Carlson a coward and complicit in evil for the way he didn’t push back against Nick Fuentes in the interview. Last week, while speaking to the Federalist Society, Cruz said Carlson had spread a poison that is profoundly dangerous to when he invited Nick Fuentes, who Senator Ted Cruz called a, quote, little goose-stepping Nazi, unquote. Some of Cruz’s criticisms have been echoed by Ben Shapiro, who torched Tucker Carlson over the Fuentes interview, accusing him of polishing abhorrent views that conservatives should not embrace. So, as soon as I saw this headline and this story about Ted Cruz… I had to bring it up to you. Let’s find out. 800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453. Yes, Ted Cruz can run for president. A lot of people are already questioning whether he’s eligible. He absolutely can. He already did. Remember, he was a presidential candidate. 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. Welcome aboard. It’s Monday. I wish we would be getting along better. I do want to dive into some of these issues, though. And this is one that I want to get ahead of. Frequently on this show, we’re ahead of the curve. Look, I told you the day Trump came down the golden escalator, he was going to be the man. I told you. If you’re listening to this show for a long time, you remember. He said Democrats lost because they branded white dudes as society’s bad guy. It was a really refreshing conversation with Dave Portnoy from Barstool Sports. I love what the reporter said. Well, why did you come on the show? Because he’s obviously a Trump supporter, and he’s kind of a typical bro who has done a lot of great stuff at Barstool Sports. I remember contributing to Barstool Sports during the pandemic because he helped raise millions and millions of dollars for businesses that were struggling during the pandemic. And Portnoy answered, well, because I love the show. And I figure if you guys do a hit job on me, I’ll hate the show, but I’m going to give you a chance. And I feel the same way. I love that show. Welcome to the show.
SPEAKER 14 :
Hi. Hi. My first time calling. Well, welcome. Thanks. Hey, listen. Listen. I voted for Ted Cruz multiple times. But when he started to post on X that accusing Tucker of being anti-Semitic and anti-American, no, I’m sorry, Senator, you’re anti-American. When you start to quell or squash the First Amendment, right, his freedom to speak or his freedom to interview, I’m sorry. Accusations like that, unacceptable. I mean, he is Totally lost my vote. And I thought he was going to run for a Supreme Court nominee potentially in 2028 or maybe later. But that’s what I had high hopes for him. Now he has totally made me reconsider his position. I’m not voting for him as president, for one. And, you know, I knew I thought he was a constitutionalist. I am like in total shock and disgust. Over his comments. I really am. I know Tucker is controversial and he can say some things, but I really am very, very upset with him.
SPEAKER 08 :
I have to tell you, Sophia, that you make, I think, a tremendous point about watching the way a number of popular figures have gone DEFCON 1 over any kind of criticism or even questioning Israeli policy. It’s a remarkable thing to watch. I mean, Mark Levin is a friend. I’ve known him for years. Powerful ally of Israel, as am I. Look, I love Israel, and I proudly support and stand with Israel. But ultimately, we have to acknowledge that there are young people in particular and a lot of people in general who are questioning Israel. the resources that we devote to Israel. Now, I think every penny of it is worth it. I believe strongly in the geographic and the spiritual and the geopolitical alliance we have with Israel. It’s way just beyond politics. But my worry here, and correct me if you think I’m wrong, is that anybody who gives even the slightest pushback towards Israel is branded an anti-Semite. Now, that could be understandable because there’s no shortage of anti-Semitism going on in America and around the world, and it’s disgusting, and it’s scary, and it’s wrong, and it’s dangerous. But because you question… Israel or question Bibi or whatever, that doesn’t make you a bigot. That doesn’t make you a hater of the Jewish people. Let’s see what John in Atlanta has to say. Hey, John, welcome back.
SPEAKER 10 :
Hey, Mike. You know, you just took the words out of my mouth, and I don’t think you could go any higher in my book until what you just said. And I’m so glad somebody with a voice like yours still is able to admit, hey, it’s okay to have some questions on Israel. And I think a lot of major news networks don’t allow that. But when you get into now Tucker, who isn’t employed by Fox, or Megyn Kelly, or certainly Charlie Kirk, he had some very interesting comments right before he was assassinated. And I’m really happy that you said what you did, because we’re not anti-Semite for just asking some questions. And I don’t think you could go any higher in my book.
SPEAKER 08 :
Oh, you’re really kind. That’s very nice of you, John. I appreciate your kind words. Well, it’s just strange to me to see this sort of knee-jerk, really hysterical reaction. And it is hysteria. It’s like, how dare you? You’re questioning Israel’s response to Hamas? How dare you? You hate the Jews. You’re evil. You’re a little Nazi. You’re goose-stepping. Look, I don’t know much about Nick Fuentes, and I don’t care. The little bit I know, I don’t find… Appealing in any way, shape, or form. I think there are people who love the attention and the clicks. Look, the digital world, the reason I, look, I’ve got to share this article with you by Douglas Murray of the New York Post about the reason people are such flamethrowers on social media. And that’s because thoughtful analysis and reasonable conversations don’t really pay off. And to people who make their living trying to get attention on social media, they want to be as outrageous as they can. Either as far right as they can be or as far left as they can be. And this is really important. I want to share this piece. It’s ostensibly about Jack Schlossberg, JFK’s grandson. And this guy is just a goofball. I mean, he’s a 32-year-old… I mean, he just loves going on social media. And Douglas Murray, who I respect greatly, has a great piece about the nature of social media and the digital world and why it can be so reckless.
