In this week’s episode of The Mike Gallagher Show Week in Review, we delve into the heated politics surrounding the ongoing government shutdown. The controversy intensifies as Democrats oppose funding for the Department of Homeland Security, leaving TSA officers working without pay. As President Trump intervenes by sending ICE agents into airports, the chaos reveals the stark party divisions over immigration policy and security measures.
SPEAKER 05 :
Welcome to the Mike Gallagher Show Week in Review podcast. It’s Friday, March 27, 2026. This week, the president ships ice to America’s airports, a plane collides with a truck at New York’s LaGuardia Airport, and Democrats turn out big time in Florida. We begin with the ongoing government shutdown, and Democrats simply cannot stop lying about it. You’ve got an opposition party, the Democrats, the minority party, that will look you in the eye and lie to you. Hakeem Jeffries did his normal rant about this DHS shutdown. And once again, the Democrats are rejecting any kind of partial compromise. They don’t want to fund DHS. They don’t want to pay TSA officers. They want the chaos. They want the madness because they think that’s going to win for them. And look, maybe Trump is right. The Democrats are unified. Something’s working for them, at least in these special elections. Here’s a text from South Carolina on the MyPillow text line. It’s literally the Save America Act, and our Republican leaders are not interested in what Americans overwhelmingly want. These Republicans are worthless. All of them. Now, you know what got my attention over Hakeem Jeffries’ latest rant? Even the mainstream media called him out. The legacy media headline is, and I quote, Hakeem Jeffries falsely accuses Republicans of being responsible for the DHS shutdown. Here’s what he said.
SPEAKER 11 :
So the Republicans have shut down… the Department of Homeland Security, because they don’t want to get ICE under control. And as a result, TSA agents… Stop it right there.
SPEAKER 05 :
Stop it right there. Stop it right there. What do you think he means by they don’t want to get ICE under control? Have you seen the videos coming out of Atlanta, Chicago, Philadelphia, where ICE officers are right now, helping to get the TSA madness under control? Have you seen all the cities where there have been successful deportation efforts underway? One city, Minneapolis, where a bunch of purple-haired freaks rioted and impeded and got violent with the deportation efforts. And because of that… Hakeem Jeffries thinks that ICE needs to get under control. And you know what he means by get under control. Defund them. Abolish them. Dismantle ICE. Because they don’t want the deportation. Here he is again. Let’s play the whole clip. Hakeem Jeffries on a podcast yesterday.
SPEAKER 11 :
So the Republicans have shut down… the Department of Homeland Security, because they don’t want to get ICE under control. And as a result, TSA agents are being forced to work without pay. Americans are being inconvenienced all across the country. And chaos has been created in airports throughout America. Why? Because Republicans… Apparently want to continue to spend billions of dollars to unleash mass and untrained ICE agents to brutalize and kill the American people and violently target law abiding immigrant families. It’s insane.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, it’s insane, all right, because you’re a liar. Almost every, and even the legacy media headline, Hakeem Jeffries falsely accuses Republicans of being responsible for what’s happening with TSA. But look, people believe this guy. And they’ve leaned into lies. They are absolutely all about not telling the truth to the American people. And I guess it’s working now. I think it, and it may work in the midterms. And at the very least, Republicans have to pass the SAVE Act. If they fail to pass the SAVE Act, we are going to lose in November. And then we’re going to have to sit back and watch everything catch on fire. They’re going to impeach Trump every day. They’re going to try to exact the retribution that they have promised. They’re not about, you know, they’re not hiding this. They come right out and say it. This lunatic district attorney, Larry Krasner from Philadelphia, check out what he promises he would do to the men and women of the law enforcement agency called ICE at the Philadelphia airport.
SPEAKER 06 :
This is how it works. You commit crimes within the jurisdiction that is the city and county of Philadelphia. I prosecute you. That is how it works. No, I don’t take a phone call from the president saying, let him go. No, the president cannot pardon you. I’ll say it again. The president cannot pardon you. And yes. I will put you in handcuffs, and I will put you in a courtroom, and if necessary, I will put you in a jail cell.
SPEAKER 05 :
If you decide to make the terrazzo floor of this airport anything like what you did in the streets of Minneapolis, which involves… If you take the terrazzo floor of the beautiful, pristine, sparkling Philadelphia airport, if you dare… Dare to put your boots on our terrazzo floors of our palatial airport? I’ll lock you up. That’s the district attorney of Philadelphia. That’s a guy with a lot of power. That’s the guy who could put anybody he wants behind bars. And now he’s targeting law enforcement. In Illinois, an illegal immigrant who had been arrested and released more than once shot and killed an 18-year-old girl. But how’d you like to be the mother or father of an 18-year-old girl who was out for a walk? A Loyola college student named Sheridan Gorman shot in the head and killed Thursday night, and now a Venezuelan illegal is in custody. This is going to sound harsh, But J.B. Pritzker did this. Mayor Brandon Johnson did this. Democrats did this. The mayor of Philadelphia, this Jim Keeney, or Keene, whatever his name is, remember the happy dance? When a judge ruled in favor of Philadelphia’s sanctuary city status, they actually dance with joy at letting their cities dance. become sanctuaries for people like the 18-year-old from Venezuela who murdered, the police say, Sheridan Gorman. That’s a little more important than a mean tweet. And they’ll do everything they can to not talk about the murder of Sheridan Gorman at the hands of an illegal from Venezuela so that you’ll get upset about a mean tweet. DHS, which the Democrats continue to refuse to fund, is confirming that the suspect in Sheridan Gorman’s murder is a Venezuelan illegal alien, Bill Malugan reports at Fox News, who was caught and released at the border by the Biden administration in May of 2023. DHS say he was also released from custody after he was arrested for shoplifting in the sanctuary city of Chicago in June of 2023. So he’s caught and released at the border at Joe Biden’s open border in May of 2023. Next month he gets arrested. What do they do? Let him go free. And now the police say this Venezuelan illegal, Jose Medina Medina, is accused of approaching Sheridan Gorman while she was walking in a park with friends early Thursday morning. DHS says Medina Medina came up to her while wearing a mask, armed with a gun. The poor girl attempted to flee. He fired his gun, shot her in the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene. She had her whole life ahead of her. 18 years old. And she was failed by Democrats’ open border policies. And sanctuary city and state loving politicians You want a battle on your hands, Democrats? You got it. We are not going to defund ICE. And you can try to inflict as much pain, Democrats, on the American people as you can muster by your obstinance and your stubborn refusal to fund DHS. You won’t fund DHS because you want to defund ICE. That ain’t happening. So now Trump has sent in ICE agents to our nation’s airports, which is driving them crazy. Elon Musk is offering to pay TSA agents out of his own pocket, which is also going to drive them crazy. Because that interrupts the agony that the Democrats are trying to inflict on the American people. You want to get upset about something? I’m sorry. If you’re more upset… about a tweet from Donald Trump on Truth Social than you are a sanctuary city leading up to the murder of a precious 18-year-old girl, you got your priorities backwards. And now, Sheridan Gorman joins a long list of people like Lakin Riley and all the rest of them who’ve lost their lives at the hands of these radical leftist Democrats who want to defund law enforcement, open our borders, and provide sanctuary to illegal immigrants. And as we were talking about this awful story, we received a plea from Illinois State Representative Marty McLaughlin, who called into the show wanting to bring sanity back to his state. We appreciate State Representative Martin McLaughlin calling the show. He’s a small businessman, a financial expert. He serves the 52nd District. was first elected to the Illinois House in November of 2022. Representative McLaughlin, it’s nice having you on the Mike Gallagher Show. I know you wanted to weigh in. We’re all kind of around the country in a state of shock at this progressive Chicago alderwoman who basically blamed this poor young woman for her own death. Give me your thoughts, your take, and tell us how you respond to the controversy.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, it’s a general environment, Mike. Thanks for having me on my five years of serving in the legislature. The progressive idea is that the marginalized community that they’re most focused on is criminals. And we have passed state laws that have been so lenient on criminals. Second, third chances. Last year they passed. a law that says we must now refer to criminals in a statute as justice-impacted persons. Come on.
SPEAKER 05 :
Come on.
SPEAKER 12 :
Are you kidding? Yeah, yeah, justice-impacted persons.
SPEAKER 05 :
Justice-impacted persons.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yes, sir. It has gotten ridiculous, Mike. And the sad part is it’s like they’re looking for something to go even further on the progressive side. This has been going on for five years. And so when stuff comes out of the state and the city of Chicago just follows suit, it’s like they’re trying to out left each other.
SPEAKER 05 :
But look, you’re dealing with these people, Representative McLaughlin. Can you help me understand the Democrats’ infatuation with the bad guys? Whether it’s Iran, whether it’s illegal immigrants who are committing horrific crimes, whether it’s being against law enforcement like ICE. Why do you suppose so many Democrats, so many progressives, certainly, are in love with the bad guys?
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, Mike, you’ve seen them nationally, right? The minute that you’ve got someone who advocates for the person who has been most offended, it gets national attention. And I was a mayor for eight years and head of a police department. What those guys have to go through every day and the fear of having a 10-second clip of a body cam misrepresented. It’s brutal. It’s awful. And I blame the media for taking the side of criminals and promoting it as if they are the most offended. So, you know, I say all the time, let’s make crime illegal again. And, you know, people laugh and chuckle, but boy, it really resonates with what we need, not just in Illinois, but across the country.
SPEAKER 05 :
Absolutely. I mean, I don’t know if you heard Senator Chris Murphy on MS Now. I want to play this clip for you, Representative McLaughlin. We’re talking to Martin McLaughlin, who, you know, is just as astounded as the rest of us at how far, how crazy the left and the Democrats are going. Here’s U.S. Senator Chris Murphy on a national TV show saying, spilling the beans about what today’s Democrat Party, how they feel about illegal immigrants in America.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, I mean, Chris, that’s been a failed play for 20 years. So you are right that that has been the Democratic strategy for 30 years, maybe. And it has failed to deliver for the people we care about most, the undocumented Americans that are in this country.
SPEAKER 05 :
Martin, the people we care about the most, the undocumented Americans in this country. Once in a while, they say the quiet part out loud, don’t they?
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, you know, I’ve been on the floor and I’ve stood up and called them illegal aliens, which is by federal statute. And I’ve had people walk across the floor in the state legislature and tell me that my, you know, my vernacular was incorrect. Mike, I swear to God, it’s unbelievable.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, it’s like you can’t say criminals. You’ve got to say justice-impacted individuals.
SPEAKER 12 :
I can’t even go to Canada without a passport, Mike. That would make me an illegal Canadian. But, you know, I have to listen to these people tell me that they’re undocumented Americans. And the governor was in D.C., and I was sitting right behind him watching him sweat profusely, Governor Pritzker. And I’ve never seen a man sweat like that when the representatives asked him how much did he spend on illegal migrants in Illinois. And he didn’t know the answer. He’s got hundreds of staff. It’s just me and one staff member. We’ve spent over $5.27 billion a year ago on illegal migrants in Illinois, 10% of the state’s budget. So it’s gotten out of hand, Mike, and we really need to get more people that want to return to reasonable sitting in seats of power in Chicago. and in Illinois. And I call them seats of not a power, but a political observer.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, you mentioned your governor. I know Pritzker went running to Minnesota to lay a wreath at a shrine that was erected to the two anti-ice protesters who were killed there. I wonder if he’s laid any wreaths anywhere close to the scene where Sheridan Gorman was shot dead Thursday, huh?
SPEAKER 12 :
No, and there’s the Abrams family, who’s close personal friends. Their daughter was killed by an illegal migrant in a traffic accident in Hubris, Illinois. The governor hasn’t recognized that person, and the Abrams have been asking for that, both to his office, and they were in D.C. as well when the governor was there. Yeah, again, Mike, when we don’t know the names of the people who are killed, unfortunately, by illegal migrants, but we can name nationally the one or two that want to be focused on, But, you know, like the two that you just mentioned, it’s ridiculous. It’s disheartening, but we’ve got to keep going out there and advocating for people to return to reasonable because it’s gone way too far left.
SPEAKER 05 :
At New York City’s LaGuardia Airport, a tragic mistake took the lives of two Air Canada pilots when their plane crashed into a fire truck that was crossing the runway. I’m not a nervous flyer at all, but I have to admit I’m always a little uncomfortable with LaGuardia. I keep thinking about that plane crash many years ago. I remember it was in the winter, and a plane skidded off the runway, went into the water. with all the passengers, of course, on board. Can you imagine the horror of what that would be like to be on an airplane in the dead of winter and the plane skids off the runway and winds up in the drink? And you’re having to get out of a plane that has been submerged in frigid, icy waters? For some reason, I think about that every single time. I land or take off from LaGuardia. It’s a weird – it’s strange because LaGuardia is – it’s kind of like Reagan Airport in that it’s pretty close to this massive metropolitan area of New York City. It’s in Queens, of course, and it’s a small – circumference of land. You think about big airports like Dallas or even Tampa, where they have huge, huge, you know, many square miles of land, and LaGuardia is actually very narrow. It’s a little sliver of an airport with only a few runways, and inevitably things go wrong there, like they did last night at approximately 11.30 p.m., Two pilots from an Air Canada jet were killed when they collided with a fire truck. The fire truck was given permission to cross the runway when apparently the Air Canada jet was, I guess, taxiing. I’m not entirely clear. Maybe someone in the New York area knows if the plane was on a taxiing or was on an approach or had landed or was getting ready to take off. I saw somewhere that the plane was going 22 miles an hour and the damage was so devastating that the entire front of the plane was crushed and both the pilot and the co-pilot were killed. Here was the air traffic controller acknowledging that he messed up because he was dealing with something else. And this is something that air traffic controllers have to go through all the time. They’re constantly having to deal with one problem and deal with another problem. And before you know it, a fatal mistake can occur, like what apparently happened last night at New York’s LaGuardia Airport.
SPEAKER 10 :
Truck 1 and company, LaGuardia Tower, request me to cross 4 at Delta. Truck 1 and company, cross 4 at Delta. Truck 1 and company, crossing 4 at Delta. Frontier 4195, just stop there, please. Stop, stop, stop, truck 1, stop, stop, stop. Stop, truck 1, stop. Stop, truck 1, stop. Delta 2603, go around, runway heading 2000. Jet 646. Jet 646, this is you, collide with vehicle agents, hold position, I know you can’t move. The vehicles are responding to you now. Is the runway closed? L2603, go around, runway heading 2000. Runway heading 2000, go around, L2603. Truck through 2, runway 4 is closed, correct? Yes, go on to runway 4 now, proceed on runway 4, you have access. Frontier 4195, I got the word that we’re going to be closed for a little while. If you want to prepare to return to the ramp, let me know. We were dealing with an emergency elsewhere, and I messed up. Gosh.
SPEAKER 05 :
Of course, your immediate sympathies and condolences go to the families of those, of course, who were killed, those many people who were injured. But think about that air traffic controller and what he’s going to live with now for the rest of his life. This is the Mike Gallagher Show Week in Review podcast. As New York deals with an airport tragedy, the president celebrated a victory when he sent ice into airports across the nation. All of a sudden, many of those TSA lines are no more. If you haven’t heard the headlines or heard the news yet, President Trump announced that he is going to supplement TSA agents at our nation’s airports with immigration and customs enforcement officers. Incidentally, in California, did you know that they use private contractors at LAX and at the San Francisco airport? Why do they do that everywhere? Why in the world does our air… our air travel security have to be contingent on the government, using these poor men and women as political pawns. And Trump now, in a brilliant move, adding ICE agents, first in Atlanta, and they’re on the scene now, at Atlanta’s Hartsfield Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world. But as Scott Jennings posted last night on X, the entire Democrat plan is to inflict as much pain and chaos on the American people and then look at you with a straight face and say, gee whiz, we have no idea how things got this bad. Must be Republicans. Crazy, huh? He’s right. I mean, I watch these guys in amazement looking into the camera with a straight face and pretending this is the Republicans’ fault. That Republicans are to blame for Americans spending hours and hours and hours trying to get on an airplane in Atlanta or Houston or wherever. Dallas, maybe. Chicago. LaGuardia. Here’s a Colorado congressman, Democrat Jason Crow, on CBS’s Face the Nation. Now, everybody knows that all the Republicans and the Trump administration want is for the Democrats to approve funding DHS. But because the Democrats think that we’re going to somehow defund ICE… They won’t budge, and they won’t vote to fund DHS. That’s why the Coast Guard isn’t getting paid. That’s why TSA isn’t getting paid. That’s why a large percentage of Secret Service agents aren’t getting paid. So this guy goes on TV yesterday. after the Democrats have voted against funding DHS and against funding DHS and against funding DHS and pretends that the Democrats’ refusal to fund DHS is somehow the Republicans’ fault.
SPEAKER 08 :
So we are ready to go.
SPEAKER 05 :
They are in control of every facet of government.
SPEAKER 08 :
But in the meantime, these people are left stuck. We’re about to be in spring break, heavy traffic season. They are in control of every element of government. They’re in control of what we vote for and don’t vote for. We are saying, let’s open it back up.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, open it back up if we defund ICE, which has been funded through the end of 2029. He’s lying to you. He’s absolutely lying. And some of them are willing to admit it. This goofy Graham Platner, this Democrat candidate in Maine, was on a podcast. He says the quiet part out loud.
SPEAKER 03 :
The people who need to rethink it are the Republicans trying to give money to an agency that’s been murdering American citizens and kidnapping people in the streets and detaining them illegally and unconstitutionally. They’re the ones who have brought this upon us. Not funding an agency that breaks the law and kills American citizens, frankly, seems like the rather normal thing to do.
SPEAKER 05 :
Rather normal, they’re funded, dummy. They’re funded for the next three years. You want to defund them, in the same way a lot of people in your party want to defund all police. This is just another law enforcement agency that you want to take funds away. Former FBI Director Robert Mueller, who ran the Russia investigation against Donald Trump, died last weekend. The president’s farewell, well, it was less than kind. I’m not going to be accused of avoiding President Trump’s reaction to the death of Robert Mueller. Mueller, of course, was the guy who, well, tried to destroy Trump’s life and his presidency with the phony Russian collusion investigation. He died at the age of 81, and Trump’s reaction on social media was to post these words, “‘Robert Mueller just died. Good. I’m glad he’s dead.'” He can no longer hurt innocent people. Scott Besant, the Treasury Secretary, was asked repeatedly about Trump’s post regarding Robert Mueller on NBC’s Meet the Press.
SPEAKER 04 :
Kristen, I was with the president in the green room at Davos and there was a video playing of what may have been an illegal raid on his home at Mar-a-Lago. They are going through his wife’s wardrobe. And I watched the look in his eye, and I think that neither one of us can understand what has been done to the president and to his family.
SPEAKER 01 :
But to the question of the president’s post, I mean, Robert Mueller didn’t order that raid. Is it appropriate for the president to celebrate the death of any American citizen?
SPEAKER 04 :
Again, I think that given what has been done to President Trump and his family, it is impossible for either of us to understand what he has been through.
SPEAKER 01 :
So you don’t think that there’s anything wrong with the post saying good Robert Mueller’s death?
SPEAKER 04 :
Again, I think that we should all have a little empathy for what has been done to him and his family.
SPEAKER 05 :
So, you know, Scott Besson is reluctant to criticize his boss. Well, that seems pretty logical. Most people don’t publicly criticize their boss. There’s no shortage of criticism for Trump’s post. And it’s probably a pretty valid indicator of how over the top it was when, after he posted it, A whole bunch of Trump supporters on social media doubted that he posted it. They thought it was satire. They thought it was a Babylon Bee kind of thing or AI or something or somebody faked it. There’s no way that a president would say of an 81-year-old man who died, good, I’m glad he’s dead. Look, I’m going to open it up to you because what I’m not going to do is avoid something like this the way Fox News did. Apparently Fox News didn’t mention it one time all weekend. And they took what they thought was the easy way out because there’s nothing really positive gained by focusing on it. His diehard supporters are going to get enraged at any degree of criticism that Trump gets from any of us on our side. other people are going to say, well, you have to kind of react. You can’t ignore it. You can’t avoid it. It’s an actual story. And you can’t pretend that it didn’t happen. Democrats have enjoyed success in recent special elections. So what policies are driving voters to their side of the ballot? I want to challenge you to tell me, what’s a Democrat party policy that you think is driving people to the polls? What do you think? Last night there were special elections again. Democrats were largely successful. They’re crowing about the Mar-a-Lago district in Palm Beach County, Florida. Calm down. That’s a blue county. Biden took it by, I think, 16, and even Kamala won it by five points. So relax on that special election. But nonetheless, it’s fair to say the Democrats have had a string of victories. What do you think is propelling those victories? What policy? Name one. Open borders? Letting criminals go free? No cash bail? What policies are they embracing? What policy do you think the Democrats have that’s better than the Republicans? I mean it. Tell me what you think is doing this. Here’s Wisconsin. Text message. MyPillow text line. Larry Krasner is a domestic terrorist. I can’t say that enough. Illinois. Mike, how can Larry Krasner even begin to do this? Under the Supremacy Clause, the feds have power over the states when enforcing federal laws. Well, of course they do. You want to know the answer? Because he’s a lunatic. The Democrats are the party of lunacy. And yet, and yet, and yet, here’s John King, CNN last night, talking about Democrats winning where Republicans were expected to win in these special elections.
SPEAKER 09 :
I do not want to overstate this. To your point, if you go through most of the 2010s, this seat was held by a Democrat. So you don’t want to overstate it. It’s not, wow, Democrats have never won here before. However, you also don’t want to understate it. The Republican who had that seat, who stepped aside when Ron DeSantis appointed him to another job so they had to have the special election, he won his last election by 20 points. Donald Trump carried this legislative district in the presidential race a couple of years ago and then put it in the context of everything else that is happening. Democrats are winning local elections everywhere throughout 2025 and now throughout 2026. And they’re doing it all over the map in rudely red states like Florida, in Georgia, in Mississippi, in Texas, in Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. So Democrats, clearly the facts just speak plainly. The math speaks plainly as day. Democrats have huge enthusiasm behind them right now. And Republicans keep losing in places where just in November of 2024, they were winning big. And so Democrats believe that they had a good year set up because it’s a midterm year. You have a Republican president. His poll numbers are down. They thought they had a good year. Through the early spring here, the opportunities are getting even bigger and wider, broader, if you will.
SPEAKER 05 :
So as I’m looking at these donors online, I can see some of the donations to Food for the Poor. You’re just as generous as any audience in the world. Daniel, $50. Winnie from Louisville, $20. Josh from Roanoke, $20. Mason from Indianapolis, $20. Bert from Union Grove, $20. Donna from Chicago. Elizabeth from Hoffman Estates, $263. So I already know how generous you are. I also know how smart you are. So I want to ask this smart audience, what is generating Democrats’ enthusiasm at the polls? And finally, I went to the movies last weekend at the urging of my pal Mark Davis. Everybody seems to love Project Hail Mary. Me? Not so much. I went to the movies last night. Don’t ask. It’s a lonely feeling to be the only person in the universe who wasn’t enamored with a movie that everybody evidently is enamored with. Okay, if that floated your boat, okay. I don’t want to give anything away. I’m not going to be that guy. I’m just not. If you want to ask me off the air, I’ll tell you what I really thought. I was so excited for it. I bought those tickets a week ago. All set to settle in. I had the popcorn and the Diet Coke. I had some Milk Duds. Milk Duds, not PhD approved. But I cheated with some Milk Duds. I’ve got to have some Milk Duds at the movies. Best candy known to mankind. Best candy on the planet. But the movie, oh boy. Oh boy. Oh boy. Good on you. I mean, look, if you loved it, you know I’m talking, of course, about Project Hail Mary. Everybody’s talking about Project Hail Mary. Kind of in the way they talked about that stupid movie with Tom Hanks bobbing around in the sea for two and a half hours talking to the volleyball. I’ll never forget that movie. Everybody liked that movie, too. It was a whole movie, him talking to the volleyball. Wilson, right? Yeah. Because it was a Wilson brand volleyball. He painted a little face on it. And he talked to the volleyball for two and a half hours. I walked out of there thinking a little bit like I thought last night. Have I had a stroke? But, hey, knock yourself out. If that’s your thing, you go enjoy Project Hail Mary. It’s always awful, though, when the hype, at least for me personally, and it’s got to be me. I admit it must be me. I am fully convinced. I will stipulate that all the people calling it the masterpiece and the best movie that’s ever been made, and this is the movie that’s going to bring everybody back into the theaters, and I’m the one that sat there with my mouth hanging open for two and a half hours thinking, Just in shock. So I fully acknowledge it’s just got to be me. It’s got to be me. I got to be me. And that wraps up the Mike Gallagher Show Week in Review podcast for Friday, March 27th. SPEAKER 07 :
Here’s something most people don’t know. When Warren Buffett was just 13 years old, he didn’t put his money into a savings account. While other kids were earning next to nothing at local banks, Buffett put $114 into a little known investment. Today, that $114 would be worth over $15 million. And it wasn’t a risky trade. It wasn’t even insider knowledge. It was an account that’s been around since 1888, and over the last 25 years, it’s averaged 29% a year. That’s what happens when your money is allowed to compound. Compare that to today’s savings accounts, paying less than half a percent while inflation quietly eats away at your buying power. Buffett understood early, banks are great businesses, just not for savers. If you’d like to see what some investors call the 29% account, go now to secretaccount29.com. That’s secretaccount29.com.

Soft Borders, Silent Consequences: A Nation Drifting from Common Sense
