In this episode, we dive deep into the controversy surrounding Epstein and President Trump, exploring how it impacts the political landscape. Hear insights from podcaster Scott Adams as he navigates through the nuances of national interest and transparency, arguing that not every secret should be a public matter. Amidst the tumultuous political climate, we weigh the importance of unity and trust within the Trump administration—a key strength that, according to many, has propelled its success despite ongoing challenges.
SPEAKER 1 :
Does that make the president nervous?
SPEAKER 04 :
Now Trump is really scared by the Epstein mess. Yeah, he’s really scared. The guy who got shot. and seconds after getting shot, stood up, surrounded by Secret Service agents, blood streaming down his face, thrust his fist in the air, and urged his crowd to keep fighting, fighting, fighting. Yeah, he’s really scared of Epstein. That’s doing him in. Yep. Because he’s a big chicken. Trump always chickens out. Taco, right? Taco Trump. Uh-huh. If I get shot, they’re going to have to carry me out of there on a giant gurney. I’ll never get up again. They’d have to take me directly to the intensive care unit for the rest of the year. I get shot, you think I’m going to stand up and put my thing to put my fist in the air? You think I’m going to care about anybody else? narcissistic me. All I’m going to care about is my head and my ear and my blood and getting nearly killed. I’m not going to care about telling the crowd to continue to fight and to show appreciation to the crowd that loves him. That’s not me. That’s Donald Trump. He’s not scared by this. He’s probably annoyed. I’m sure he’s irritated. Because there are enormous victories that he’s enjoying that this administration is posting. And everybody knows it. They’re desperate. The left is crazy. They’re making stuff up about alligator Alcatraz. Did you know that the detainees have to poop where they shower? According to Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Horrible revelation. They have to poop where they shower. They’re in cages. Uh-huh. Yeah, I got to get there. In fact, I’m headed to South Carolina today, but maybe in the next week or two, I’m going to make a quick trip. I’ve got friends who can get me there, and I’ll go in, and I’ll take a look at it with my own eyes. I’ve seen the video. Cages. Yeah, it’s called fencing. It’s called cordoned off areas. Oh, they have to poop where they shower? Yeah, that’s called a bathroom dummy. Where do you poop, lady? A mile away? What, do you have a building for you to go to the bathroom? And then do you have another building where you take a shower? She thought that she was going to really, really make hay on that one. So look, there’s a lot of great things happening. Laura is right. While people are obsessing over Epstein, some big, powerful things are occurring. But again, I’m not somebody who wants to shut down what you want to talk about.
SPEAKER 07 :
MAGA seems split on the Epstein controversy. Dilbert creator and podcaster Scott Adams might just have a solution for that problem.
SPEAKER 04 :
But it seems to me that the people who are feeling betrayed and they’re upset and they’re wildly emotional about the Epstein story are people who don’t really believe in Trump to begin with, or at least they didn’t used to. I don’t know what the story or the history of Scott Adams is with regards to Donald Trump, but I want to play a couple more of these clips because it was pretty powerful stuff, what Scott posted about this being a commander-in-chief decision. Let me share with you again some of his monologue from social media. This is courtesy of X and Rumble. Here’s cut 12. This is more of Scott Adams.
SPEAKER 01 :
Let me give you an example to pull it together. When Trump said he’s going to wait two weeks to make a decision on bombing Iran, but then he bombed them in a few days instead, it was a big surprise. I don’t know about you, but I wish I had known that in advance. But the reason he didn’t tell me, and he didn’t tell you, is that it was a national interest to not tell us. So was that full disclosure? No, it wasn’t. In the context of national interests and in the context of commander-in-chief, not telling the country all the secrets is not just allowed. We demand it. We demand that they not tell us all the proprieties.
SPEAKER 04 :
the proprietary secrets that got clipped there at the end. But we demand that our government not tell the world. You know, you often see Trump being interviewed by reporters. They say, well, what are you going to do next with Ukraine or a war here? And he says, well, you think I’m going to tell you? Scott goes on to point out that contrary to popular opinion in some circles, America is not, repeat, not a democracy.
SPEAKER 01 :
So people said to me, but Scott, we have a right to know and we should be part of the decision to which I say, what? You don’t live in a democracy. If you lived in a democracy, I would say, yeah, we all need to get to vote on everything, even national defense. But our founders did not build us a democracy because they knew it wouldn’t work. They built us a democratic republic, which means that when you vote for Trump, you know you’re voting for a commander in chief whose most important job is to make decisions with more knowledge about the situation than you and I have. That’s why we hired him. We didn’t hire him to ask for our permission. We didn’t hire him to tell us everything he knows about national secrets. We didn’t do that. We hired him to keep secret the things that would protect the country and ideally to tell us things that wouldn’t hurt the country. And, you know, they have vital interests. So when you say Epstein is a criminal situation and therefore we should have full disclosure, that makes complete sense if that’s all it is. But in my opinion, given the near guarantee that it affects other countries as well, Almost certainly, this has some big national interest connection that you and I don’t know about.
SPEAKER 04 :
I think he’s right. I think he’s absolutely correct. And I agree with Scott, and I support President Trump.
SPEAKER 07 :
CNN conservative pundit Scott Jennings joined our lineup this week, and we welcomed him to the fold on the show.
SPEAKER 05 :
You’re on my mind today, and it’s gratitude that I have for Mike Gallagher, because not only are you a legend and an inspiration to those of us who are in this business, you’ve personally been helpful to me as I’ve been putting this together. So thank you for what you’ve done, and I hope everybody sticks around for the Scott Jennings Show today. We’ve got an amazing show. I’ve got the Speaker of the House. mike johnson’s going to come on and also because of the breaking news with the biden pardon auto pin scandal the news in the new york times i’ve got the oversight committee chairman jamie comer coming on to tell us what happens next now that they have this new information well it’s a lot of it there’s tons of stuff to digest and you’ve picked a perfect time to start and i first of all i’m
SPEAKER 04 :
I’m grateful for your kind words, but we’re all so excited about you joining the Salem family here. So you’re going to knock it out of the park. You’re like the lone voice of reason on CNN, it seems. And so we’re pulling for you, and we know you’re going to knock it out of the park. You and I got to go to the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit over the weekend. Isn’t that a remarkable experience to see thousands of young people – thanks to a movement that Charlie Kirk, frankly, created years ago. And you know the whole history. I mean, he came up with Turning Point, you know, out of his parents’ garage in Chicagoland many years ago. And now look at what all that has become.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, it was remarkable. I was energized being in that arena this weekend, meeting all these kids from around the country who were so optimistic about the future of the country. They were energized. I think that’s one thing that separates the conservative movement from the left right now. Optimism. We have optimism for America because we believe in America. We believe in the promise of America. And I think the left is a little sour. They don’t really believe in our country right now. And I think the American people sense this. But in that younger generation, the optimism and energy in that room, I think America’s going to be all right, because those kids believe in the promise of this country. And so it was really fun to be there with them and say a few words to the crowd, and I’m sincerely appreciative to Charlie for the invitation.
SPEAKER 04 :
I know that you and I both know that the Epstein family Trump controversy, you know, has got a lot of people frustrated, a lot of people upset. I got a text today from a guy in Los Angeles who said, Mike, there isn’t a single Trump supporter in America who’s going to turn against President Trump over this Epstein mess. It’s a headache. It’s kind of a mess. But there’s a big pushback right now from a lot of people saying, look, we’ve got to trust Trump on this thing. Move on. What’s the Scott Jennings take on the whole Epstein controversy and how it affects President Trump and this administration?
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, I tend to agree. I don’t think people are going to turn away from President Trump over this. A headache, I think, is a good way to put it. But I think we need to look at the bigger picture here. When I was reviewing my social media this morning, some of the nastiest, most partisan Democrats in Washington, all they can tweet about is Epstein.
SPEAKER 02 :
Right.
SPEAKER 05 :
Because they believe that the way back for them is to try to sow division. in the ranks of the Trump administration and among his supporters. Their only chance is that if we divide against ourselves. So even when you have things that are frustrating, you have to keep that in mind, that the left is so lost, the only way back is if we let them back, is if we divide. Trump’s had a successful administration because of unity. Politics is a team sport. His team has been unified. They’re listening to the head coach. And we’ve had the most amazing six months that we could have possibly had. So I voted for Trump because I trust his judgment, and I like the people he put at DOJ because I trust their judgment. So I think at some juncture, if you voted for that, you’ve got to let them do their job. There may be things they can or cannot say that we don’t know. They have access to information that we don’t know about. So for right now, I’m also frustrated because I’m like everybody else in America. I’d love to have as much transparency and as many answers as possible, but I also don’t want this to distract from the progress and from the work ahead.
SPEAKER 04 :
I don’t think it’s a secret or you’re unaware of the many, many personal and professional challenges that our friend Mike Lindell of MyPillow fame has been facing. And his opponents and his critics and people who don’t like his support of President Trump. probably don’t care that he has, in his words, lost everything financially. He hasn’t lost the company. They’ve tried, but Mike has not lost my pillow. And that’s because this audience and people all over the country continue to support this great American company. Whatever you think of Mike Lindell, he is a guy who loves America. And, you know, with all of that said, it’s also a… These are great products. SPEAKER 07 :
Promo code MikeG. This is the Mike Gallagher Show Week in Review podcast. I’m Eric Hansen. Something very strange appeared this week in the pages of the New York Times. Columnist David Litt published an opinion piece that almost read like an apology.
SPEAKER 04 :
Meanwhile, Trump is off celebrating with FIFA soccer players and having a good time and celebrating… the achievements of this administration. There was an article in the New York Times which really intrigued me. It was an opinion piece by a guy named David Litt, and I really appreciated it. It was an opinion that said that he felt in the past, the writer felt it was his duty to be rude to his brother-in-law. Because his brother-in-law is a conservative. I met Matt in 2012. It was immediately clear we had nothing in common, he writes. He lifted weights to death metal. I jogged to Stephen Sondheim. I was one of Obama’s speechwriters. He was a huge Joe Rogan fan. He went on to get his electrician’s license. He went on to say that since this guy was a vaccine… skeptic he felt it was his civic duty to be rude to him he said it was his job to ostracize him because he was anti-mandate and anti-vaccine and what kind of person would do that and then he writes in the article that they started to change their relationship And he became more open-minded about people who don’t see the world the way he does. And he writes, this former Obama speechwriter writes, my advice is always the same. Our differences are meaningful. But allowing them to mean everything is part of how we ended up here. When we cut off contacts or let algorithms sort us into warring factions, we forget that not so long ago we used to have things to talk about that didn’t involve politics. Shunning one another plays into the hands of demagogues, making it easier for them to divide us, even in some cases to incite violence. There are, of course, some people so committed to odiousness that it defines them. But are most people like that? In an age when banishment backfires, keeping the door open to unlikely friendship isn’t a betrayal of principles. It’s an affirmation of them. Look, Greg Gutfeld tore into this guy. Greg went after him and mocked him. Oh, you like Stephen Sondheim and you’re an a-hole and all that. And I get that reaction, I guess. But I look at this a little bit differently. I appreciate somebody recognizing that shunning each other over politics inevitably does backfire. And look, I’ve experienced this. And I’ll tell you this. In my personal life, I’ll give you two examples. I’ve been shunned and I shunned somebody else. So I’m guilty of this. I’ve had a years-long friend who has stopped talking to me because of my support for President Trump and my status as a registered Republican. Just stopped talking to me after the election. Known him for years. And I admit it’s kind of hurtful. We’ve had a generous friendship. I’ve been very generous to him over the years. He’s been kind to me over the years and generous. I guess that friendship is over. I have another friend who blasted me the morning after the election, tearing into me by text. And we mostly talk now by text. And I attempted to be gracious to her. I said, look, I’m sorry you’re hurting. I’m sorry the election didn’t go the way you wanted it to go. And she kept attacking me. I blocked her. There’s a funny little feature on your phone. It’s called Block. You never have to hear from that person again. And that’s what I did. And that’s sad, too, because I’ve known her for many years. This article about… Should we snub one another? Should we shun one another? I think it’s pretty valuable. And I don’t want to make fun of the guy because he is an elitist Democrat Obama speechwriter who listens to show tunes. I appreciate a guy trying to find a little bit of common ground and realizing that it was a mistake for him to treat his brother-in-law Like a horse’s ass. Because the horse’s ass was the guy from the New York Times. Not the brother-in-law. The horse’s ass, frankly, is the person, the years-long friend of mine, who has shunned me. And decided to stop talking to me. And I will admit, I’m the horse’s ass for shunning the person that I shunned. who was blowing up my phone with ugly text messages, attacking me for who I voted for.
SPEAKER 07 :
New York City faces the grim specter of a communist as their next mayor. The only person standing in the way? The lone GOP candidate and a bit of a local superhero, Guardian Angel founder Curtis Lee.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah. And whoever is in the lead of the three of us, meaning Eric Adams, Cuomo, or Curtis Sliwa, let’s coalesce behind the leading candidate in that polling to try to stop Mamdani. What do you make of his proposal? Is there merit to that, Curtis?
SPEAKER 03 :
No, because we’re in an era now where you pay for your own polls. In fact, embarrassingly, Eric Adams put out a poll. I don’t know why he did, but he did. And it showed that he was dead last. I was ahead of him, followed by Cuomo and then Zoran Mandami. So I don’t think this is going to be determined by polls or Mike Gallagher, whose billionaires have surfaced. We now see George Soros firmly behind Zoran Mandami. Cuomo has his billionaires, Michael Bloomberg. And then, obviously, Eric Adams has his billionaires assembled by Ackman. I’m not. I’m not supported by any billionaires. The voters are blue-collar working class, and many of them are millennials and Gen Zers. And that’s part of my group. You’ve been with me and the Guardian Angels. I’m all over the world with Guardian Angels now. If I had to depend on people our age, Mike— You know, maybe taking Bengay baths at night after a long patrol, and you might not see him for a few days. You have to depend on younger people. I trust them to make good decisions, but you have to give them a pathway to success. And unfortunately, I hear too much from our side, baby boomers, where we demean them. They’re lazy. They’re naive. They bury their heads in their iPhones, smartphones. No, they were the frontline troopers for Zoran Mandami and the Democratic Socialists of America. I have a lot of them. They can be engaged. We can win them over. That’s what President Trump and the RNC did magnificently in this recent presidential election. Not so successful with the millennial women, but very successful with the millennial men, young men and the Gen Zers. So take the same path. That’s where the battle is going to be won, not in the suites, but out in the streets. And I’ve got the firepower to take Zorhan Mandami and his followers on.
SPEAKER 04 :
And make no mistake, I’ve walked down the streets of Manhattan with you. You are beloved. You’re iconic. You’re a guy that New Yorkers trust to get all of this right. The question becomes, do you have a path? Obviously, you’re confident that you do. I’m worried and I’m very, very alarmed by the narrative, Curtis, that has emerged that that Mamdani’s supporters don’t really even agree with his lunatic, radical ideology, but they like his energy. They like that he wants to tackle the inaffordability of New York. New Yorkers can’t afford to pay rent. They can’t afford to pay the grocery bill. And they don’t even care that he is a… bona fide socialist and likely Marxist, they want a change of any kind. I mean, I don’t think people are even recognizing that we’re on the precipice of a potential disaster if this guy gets elected mayor.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, we’ll go the route of Chicago with their socialist mayor, Johnson, who’s at an all-time low in terms of favorability. I mean, he came on with the African-American support that put him into office, and now they’re having voters regret. Let’s talk to that first idea. What is my pathway? There are four candidates that everybody knows. Nobody knew Zorhan Mandami back in February other than his neighbors and his constituents. Now the whole world knows why. Because we had a failed mayor, Eric Adams. If he would have been a traditional mayor, even like de Blasio, a failed mayor, he would have been the Democratic incumbent. And it would have been courtesy with a Republican challenging him round two. It would have been your traditional mayoral election. But because he could not get Democrats and he had a chance to run in a Republican primary against me, but chose not. He’s on an independent line. Cuomo should have taken out Zoran and he mailed it in and he’s on an independent line. So when you look at the math, I start with 28 percent for candidates. I also have the first-ever Protect Animals independent line, no-kill shelters, and we’re going to put those who violate animals in jail. Because, you know, we live in a city, Mike, no matter what your politics, we lock up toothpaste, but we don’t lock up criminals. That’s what New York City is all for. Lock up your toothpaste, but not criminals. We’re going to go after those animal violators. That transcends politics. It’s the only time I’ve ever seen Trumpers and Biden-Harris people have a civil conversation is about their love of animals. So you start combining that. And because I am the people’s choice, because I am in the streets, I am in the subways, which is the great equalizer. As you know, Mike, you having been in the subways often. Boy, once those doors close, it doesn’t matter if you’re a millionaire, porn and published, homeless, emotionally disturbed, blue collar working class. You’re all the same. And it’s a focus group for me to see exactly what’s on the minds of the voters. And yes, affordability is number one. Cost of living, number two, people are living paycheck to paycheck, even a lot of Republicans. And then, of course, my sweet spot, crime and quality of life. And that’s why I have the ability to defeat Zoran Mandami, not only because of Republican support, but independents, moderate Democrats and animal lovers.
SPEAKER 07 :
Do you think Disney World has softened its woke position? Well, a recent visit to the Hall of Presidents suggests maybe they have.
SPEAKER 04 :
Sunday, I thought about the Hall of Presidents. and they’ve added Trump. And they had him in 2016, of course, for his first term, and he looked terrible. He didn’t even look like himself. The Hall of Presidents is an iconic exhibit at Disney World. Walt Disney loved it. It was one of his favorites. There’s a very inspirational movie about the history of America and where we came from and where we’re headed and all that. It’s very aspirational and inspirational. And then the curtains open up and then all the presidents are up there on stage. They’re all animatronics. And they’re rocking back and forth. It’s a little creepy because it looks kind of real. And they all nod their heads at you. And Abe Lincoln talks and George Washington talks. And in this version, Donald Trump talks. Now, this is purely anecdotal. But first term, every time I would go in, a couple of boos. In fact, there were reports at Disney World of people who started screaming and jumping up and down and making fools of themselves. They had to add security guards. I guess they thought people were going to, you know, charge the stage, rush the animatronic, and try to beat up an inanimate object. Because it’s the left, and they’re loony, they’re kooks. This time around, not only does he look real good, I mean, he looks like him. But I was very interested in how the crowd would respond as they did the roll call of all the president’s. So they went through the whole list. George Washington, yay! Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson, Millard Fillmore. They went through the whole list. And the crowd cheered for the prominent presidents, Republican and Democrat. They cheered for JFK. They cheered for FDR. They cheered for Teddy Roosevelt. They cheered for Reagan. They cheered for Bush. They cheered for Clinton. Because they’re going through the whole roster, right? They got to Joe Biden. I swear to you, not a peep. Nobody even clapped. Nobody made a sound when they called out Joe Biden’s name. Again, this is anecdotal. You’ve got a few hundred people on a Sunday afternoon at Disney World, right? Then it came time for 45 and 47. And what they’ve done this year, as they’ve recently added Trump to the exhibit, is have him recite the oath of office. Listen to what happened to the crowd when Trump began to speak.
SPEAKER 02 :
By Donald John Trump. President of the United States and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. So help me God.
SPEAKER 04 :
Hear the claps, hear the cheers. And I mean, nobody got booed. But the point is, Biden didn’t get anything. Not one person clapped. I mean, I was kind of astounded. I thought, well, I wonder who the leftist is, who the woke progressive is who’s going to cheer for Joe Biden. Nobody in the whole theater. Yeah.
