Here’s something most investors miss. It’s not recklessness that costs people money. It’s being late. Big shifts start quietly in policy meetings and regulatory rooms long before they hit the headlines. Right now, the AI build-out is driving massive spending in energy, data, and infrastructure. There is a way to potentially benefit from that surge without betting on a single tech stock. To get the full breakdown, go to OxfordRetire.com. Again, that’s OxfordRetire.com.
SPEAKER 02 :
Welcome to the Mike Gallagher Show Week in Review podcast. It’s Friday, February 27th. This week, a would-be assassin in Mar-a-Lago, a snowball assault in New York City, and U.S. hockey gold in Milan. We begin in D.C., where President Trump delivered his State of the Union address. And this was the moment that has America talking. This was the scene. This is the choice. Do you stand for American citizens if you’re an elected representative of this country? Or do you refuse to stand signaling that you believe that illegals should be protected more than U.S. citizens? This was the moment for the ages.
SPEAKER 07 :
So tonight I’m inviting every legislator to join with my administration in reaffirming a fundamental principle. If you agree with this statement, then stand up and show your support. The first duty of the American government is to protect American citizens, not illegal aliens.
SPEAKER 02 :
Now, as expected, plenty of claps and a standing ovation from the Republicans. The Democrats aren’t standing. Hey, Nancy Pelosi, you’re not standing. Elizabeth Warren, Mark Kelly, you’re not standing. Trump’s looking at them like, you’re not standing for that? Look at this. They’re not standing. Holy cow! They took the bait. They walked right into one of the most incredible traps ever set by a public figure in American history. They’re not standing for this. Wow. Wow. Wow. Now, look. The choice is clear. In November, that’s the decision America’s going to have to make. You’re going to vote for a political party that doesn’t believe that a government needs to protect American citizens instead of illegals? Are you going to vote for a party that believes that illegal citizens, illegal residents, rather non-citizens, illegal immigrants have more rights than we do? Because they made it very clear. Make no mistake, they didn’t sit for everything. They stood up for the insider trading crap. They stood up for that. There were moments they did stand for some things. I think they stood for the hockey team. But they didn’t stand. That’s worth playing over and over and over again. I could put it on a loop. You could inject it into my veins. The choice that America has could not be clearer. In this brilliant State of the Union address, this was one of the most stunningly effective aspects of a speech that I have ever seen in my life. It was already a speech that’ll go down in history as one of the most powerful, impactful speeches. Incidentally, don’t take my word for it, CNN, prior to the broadcast, CNN, the Trump-hating CNN, poll question of their viewers, is Trump heading the country in the right direction?
SPEAKER 1 :
53%.
SPEAKER 02 :
After the speech, CNN poll, reaction to Trump’s State of the Union speech, positive, 63%. Over in Milan, Italy, the U.S. hockey team provided the perfect finale to the Winter Olympics. Jack Hughes, I guess, has become the hero. He’s the guy who scored the game-winning goal. And a guy who, you know, compare him to some of these other whiny athletes who have been complaining and griping and moaning about America. The guy that said, remember a couple weeks ago at the start of the game, well, there’s things about the United States that I don’t really like. He finished 10th. Jack Hughes, check out a guy scoring the winning goal and taking home the gold for the United States.
SPEAKER 06 :
This is all about our country right now. I love the USA. I love my teammates. It’s unbelievable. The USA Hockey Brotherhood is so strong. And we had so much support from ex-players. I’m so proud to be American today. Unbelievable game. Unreal game by our team. That’s just a ballsy, gutsy win. That’s American hockey right there. That’s a great Canadian team, but we’re USA. We’re so proud to be Americans. Tonight was all for the country.
SPEAKER 05 :
What does this gold medal mean to USA Hockey?
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s everything. Like I said, the USA Hockey Brotherhood means so much. Look at these guys. We’re such a team. We’ve been there for two weeks. We’re such a team. The USA Hockey Brotherhood is so strong, and we’re so proud to win for our country.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s the spirit of America. Look how beautiful that is. That’s a wonderful reflection of the American spirit, patriotism. That’s the heart and soul of our country. In fact, I got a nice text message a few moments ago from a guy in Pennsylvania who’s got T-shirts now that say on the T-shirt, red, white, and blue T-shirt, says, Save the heart and soul of America. Vote Republican. The texter said, I got this idea from listening to you, Mike. We started a movement to try to help us win the midterm. Good for you. I love that. Hey, send me one. I’m really large, but send me an extra large in case it shrinks. I’d love to wear one of those. Save the heart and soul of America. Vote Republican. Gosh, we got to fight. This is a battle for the heart and soul of our country. Team USA got a congratulatory call from President Trump. and they got to celebrate and share a beer with the FBI director, and the left and the Trump haters are losing their minds. Oh, it’s an abuse of power. He flew over on an expensive jet just so he could hang out with the hockey team. You don’t feel the joy, the exuberance of that moment of the FBI director invited into the locker room after they won, and they’re all partying together and singing, and here’s the moment. Goal! Come on! Let’s go!
SPEAKER 05 :
Let’s go!
SPEAKER 02 :
It’s even on a loop. How about that? That’s Kash Patel. And they’re jumping up and down. Oh, this is terrible. This is a violation. He abused his official position. This is unreal. All the regular Trump haters are livid. Even a few supposed conservatives are upset with this. Are you kidding? You think we’d be upset if Kamala’s FBI director… was exuberant and celebrating with the American men’s hockey team? If there had been a Democrat president? No. This ought to be unifying. Not everything has to be broken down into these partisan… Are you kidding me? It’s so frustrating to me. A major blizzard blew through New York City this week. The new mayor offered a novel idea for clearing the snow. We’ve got a blizzard, a massive monster storm in the northeast. Thankfully, our team, Eric and Yasmin and Alex, are safely in the studios. They made it in today, and they’re hunkered down and flying the plane successfully. Apparently, it’s every bit as bad as they thought it was going to be. Over two feet of snow, maybe even more in some of the areas. some parts of the Northeast and an actual blizzard, a blizzard like condition. So please be safe, be careful. Zoran Mamdani is facing a lot of flack because, and you can’t make this up, you know, the party that doesn’t want you to have to present any form of ID to vote. You need Zoran in anticipation of all the snow invited ordinary citizens to help the city of New York, uh, shovel and said, you could come down and we’ll pay you $19 an hour to shovel snow. Now, in order to do it, you need, are you ready for this? Five pieces of identification. You need more forms of identification to do New York City’s job for you than you do to go vote. They reject voter ID laws But you need five pieces of ID to go shovel the snow in New York City. You couldn’t make it up if you tried. The hypocrisy continues to abound. Of course, is this Jim Crow 3.0? Is Chuck Schumer going to accuse Zoran Mamdani of being a racist for demanding ID in order to shovel snow? No. With all the snow on the ground, some troublemakers decided to throw snowballs at cops in New York City. I guarantee you there are lots of people on the left who voted for Zoran Mamdani who are just fine with what happened yesterday. Agitators, according to the New York Post, caught on camera wreaking havoc, pelting police officers down. Huge chunks of snow and ice at police at Manhattan’s Washington Square Park yesterday afternoon. If you’re watching right now on Salem News Channel, it’s a hard video to watch. Because you’re seeing officers getting hit in the mouth, in the face. I guarantee you some of those snowballs, I promise you some of those snowballs had rocks in them. A number of police officers were taken to the hospital, treated for facial lacerations. It didn’t take long for the former governor, Andrew Cuomo, and the former mayor, Eric Adams, to point the finger at Zoran the Destroyer, blaming his history of anti-police rhetoric for the violent scenes. And as I understand it, it wasn’t just Washington Square Park. This happened in different locations all throughout the city yesterday. They had this massive snowfall. New York never usually gets that much snow. And what did the… degenerates do. They weaponized the snow and used it to pelt police officers. And I’m going to say something about these NYPD officers. I’ve looked at that video, and you’ve seen the video now, right now at snc.tv. If you’re watching the show, we’re streaming it everywhere. The restraint that these officers are showing is nothing short of miraculous. Because if I had some punk… hiding behind a mask, and most of them had masks on, pelting me in the face with ice and snow to be able to just walk away the way those officers did. And what are they going to do in Zoran Mamdani’s New York? They’ll get in trouble. Cuomo posted on X, this is disgraceful, but with a mayor who has a history of calling the police racist, evil, wicked, and corrupt, he set the tone. Words have consequences. We’re seeing that in the growing disrespect for law enforcement, just as we’ve seen it in the rise in anti-Semitism. Real leaders understand that. The mayor does not. Look, I’m no fan of Cuomo, but Cuomo would be a hell of a lot better in that position than this freak, than this communist, than this kid who’s in way over his head. And Cuomo’s right. When you have a history of calling law enforcement racist, evil, wicked, and corrupt, all terms that Zoran Mamdani, the current mayor of New York, has used to describe the NYPD, why would you be surprised at this? This is the Mike Gallagher Show Week in Review podcast. There was a strange incident at the BAFTA Awards over the UK last weekend, but it’s not what you think it is. This story out of the UK, sort of the British version of the Oscars and the Emmy Awards. They have something called the BAFTA Awards. Have you followed this Tourette’s Syndrome story? A fellow by the name of John Davidson is afflicted with Tourette’s Syndrome. Tourette’s Syndrome, as you probably know, can compel somebody who has that affliction with blurting out wildly inappropriate words. offensive words. And at the BAFTA award ceremony the other night, and these are all Hollywood types, a couple of black actors were on stage and the guy, there was a movie, I think the movie’s called I Swear, that featured this guy’s story. Well, he’s in the audience and And when the two black actors were up on the stage, this guy starts shrieking the N-word. Now, you can imagine the shock and horror in that auditorium. And, you know, you got a guy with Tourette’s. You got black actors on stage. The guy with Tourette’s is yelling the N-word. Well, now what are they going to do? You talk about… A crap show. I mean, the scandal that has… One of the directors of BAFTA has had to resign in disgrace. One of the hosts, Alan Cumming, is being condemned because he didn’t legitimately apologize. The BBC is being faulted because they didn’t digitally dump the word, but they dumped other things. The whole thing has turned into this gigantic mess. And you know why? Because the left desperately needs a victim. They need somebody to be the victim here. Well, who’s the victim? What are you supposed to do with the guy with Tourette’s that they made the movie about? Not let him go to the event? What are you going to do, take him like a baby veal and put him into a little kennel outside in a soundproof booth because he’s got the Tourette’s syndrome? Well, that’s awful. You can’t do that. So bring him into the room. Well, now he’s in the room, he’s going to maybe blurt out terrible words. What about the two black guys on the stage? Are they a victim? Well, I guess. They certainly have heard the word before. It’s offensive. But you can’t exactly call them the victim. They’re multimillionaire actors up on a stage. stroking each other’s ego over how talented and rich and famous they are. Meanwhile, the poor schlub with Tourette’s, they want to cancel him. Jamie Foxx, an American actor, says the guy did it on purpose. Doesn’t even believe it’s Tourette’s. As if somebody is going to purposefully just start shouting the N-word at a black tie award ceremony yesterday. In the UK. Oh yeah, Jamie, that’s reasonable. It’s not really Tourette’s. He just wanted to call these guys the N-word. I mean, the whole thing is unbelievably, unintentionally, darkly humorous. It’s dark humor. It’s kind of a morbid comedy thing. But when you wallow in victimhood, you’ve got to find a victim. Well, there isn’t a victim. Let me challenge you. Who’s the victim in this story? Another disturbed man turned up at Mar-a-Lago this week with bad intentions. But of course, also this awful story of a 21-year-old named Austin Tucker Martin, who was gunned down by the Secret Service and the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Department after he brandished his shotgun in a shooting position on Trump’s property, Mar-a-Lago. His family reported him missing on Saturday. And this poor family, his mother made a missing person poster for him describing the silver Volkswagen he was likely driving. And it’s a heartbreaking story. His sister, this family’s loved one, was killed in a head-on car crash I think just a year or two ago. Those poor parents losing both of their kids in such tragic circumstances. But here’s what is, to me, the intriguing part of this, and I want to be very careful about the way this conversation goes, because I don’t want, in any way, shape, or form, to be misunderstood over some of my thoughts involving this kid and this awful incident at Mar-a-Lago Sunday morning. This young man was reportedly obsessed with the Jeffrey Epstein files. He was imploring others to raise awareness about the Epstein files just days before this happened. Text messages obtained by TMZ said that… shared some of his posts. On Sunday, February 16th, a week ago, he wrote, I don’t know if you read up, and incidentally, this kid is apparently, he comes from a family, at least, of Trump supporters. I think he may have been a Trump supporter. which is what, to me, is the most jarring aspect of this story, and I’ll tell you why in a moment. But here’s what he texted, 8.18 a.m., Sunday, February 16th. I don’t know if you read up on the Epstein files, but evil is real and unmistakable. The best people like you and I can do is use what little influence we have. Tell other people about what you hear about the Epstein files and what the government is doing about it. Raise awareness. Well, then somehow, mysteriously… Inexplicably, this kid gets in his car and drives from North Carolina to Mar-a-Lago with a shotgun and a can of fuel and gets killed, aiming his shotgun at the Secret Service agents tasked with protecting President Trump. You can’t explain these lunatics who want to cause harm to him, but it does raise the ugly issue once more of the Epstein files. I did an event the other day with Don Jr. in Dallas. The president’s own son pointed out Ghislaine Maxwell is in prison for decades for trafficking young girls. Who did she traffic them to? Nobody has been arrested. I mean, former Prince Andrew. So over in the UK, they grabbed that guy, who’s apparently a sleazeball. And they’re apparently preparing to put him on trial for public misconduct while in office. Had to do with sharing secrets. I don’t know that it even has anything to do with sexually abusing minors. And so, again, I’m trying to be very careful in the way I word this, because I’m not saying to you… obviously, that the Jeffrey Epstein scandal should compel somebody to go try to kill President Trump. They don’t connect. They don’t add up. Please don’t misunderstand me. But I do have to come back to the question, does the Epstein story impact the outcome of elections in 2026? Something’s happening where Republicans aren’t showing up. As the midterm elections come closer, Democrats appear to have some momentum. What can the Republicans do about it? We better get this right. I saw a poll. Jasmine Crockett has a double-digit lead over her primary opponent in Texas. Can you imagine U.S. Senator Jasmine Crockett? And the truth is, we can. The fact is, it could happen. Did you see the behavior of Rashida Tlaib? And Ilhan Omar? Greg Gutfeld said out loud last night what every American is probably thinking. She’s repulsive. She’s despicable. And if her immigration status isn’t correct, she ought to be deported. And I don’t think that’s overwrought. Do you remember when Joe Wilson got in all kinds of trouble for two words that he blurted out during Obama’s State of the Union speech? Yes. I think he said you lied or that’s a lie or something. Oh my gosh, that was the end of the world. How do you do that in a speech? The Democrats carried on like it was a WWE bout. Shrieking and screaming and cursing. Mocking. Yelling out loud. And something is happening in America. You know, a lot of people gave Brian Kilmeade over at Fox News some grief a couple of weeks ago because he said something about Democrats and momentum. Let’s turn over to CNN for a moment and their numbers guy, the data guru, Harry Enten, and what he’s saying about this upcoming primary race in the state of Texas. Not even exactly talking about the candidates here, which is why it might be even more important.
SPEAKER 05 :
No, mind blown to quote the show Blossom Joey. Whoa. I mean, look at this. OK, share of Texas midterm primary ballots at this point in the cycle cast in Democratic primaries or Republican primaries. In 2022, the last midterm, overwhelmingly, the votes were being cast in Republican primaries, 62%. But look at what’s going on now in the 2026 cycle. More votes are being cast on the Democratic side. What a shift from where we were four years ago at this point. More people in Texas picking up the Democratic ballot. More Democrats are voting in Texas than Republicans. I mean, how unusual is that? Just how unusual? Well, you see the massive shift from 2022. But look at history. Go all the way back. When was the last time that more people actually picked up a Democratic ballot, cast a ballot in a Democratic primary in Texas in the midterm? You have to go all the way back. to 2002. So this could break, this could break an over 20 year stretch, my goodness gracious, whereby more people are actually voting on the Democratic side. And I will note, it really hasn’t even been close since 2002. Overwhelmingly, more people have been voting on the Republican side in Texas. And this year so far, more people are voting on the Democratic side.
SPEAKER 02 :
This is different. Now, again, look at that swing according to his numbers in 2022. Let me reiterate this. It was, in primary voting, 62% Republican in Texas, 38% Democrat. This year, 53% Democrats, 47% Republicans. So what’s going on? What’s happening here? Why are Republicans staying home? I’ve got a theory that I want to Bounce off of you. I think it’s two things. I think it’s two reasons. I think, I believe Epstein and the lack of accountability is part of it, and I believe affordability is the other. Now, I don’t know how to fix the Epstein problem, but I believe I know how we can fix the affordability problem. or the messaging regarding affordability, and it has everything to do with messaging. Finally, Governor Gavin Newsom wants to be our next president, but really, would you vote for this guy? When people say that it’s the Democrats who are these stone-cold bigots, when they’re the ones who demean black people, for example, and think they’re superior to black Americans… We’re not kidding. There’s lots of examples. Joe Biden, go down the list. AOC, you can do a whole who’s who of prominent Democrats who insult black Americans. In fact, let’s take a little trip down memory lane. Governor Kathy Hochul, who is suggested to be a very popular Democrat governor of New York. Remember what she said about black kids?
SPEAKER 01 :
In the Bronx? Young black kids growing up in the Bronx who don’t even know what the word computer is. They don’t know. They don’t know these things. And I want the world to open up to all of them because when you have their diverse voices innovating solutions.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah, they’ve got diverse voices. They just don’t have the smarts to know what the word computer means. Now, in an ordinary circumstance, that’s a total deal breaker. There’s no way somebody like that could survive staying in public office. A miserably blatant racist observation. Black kids are too stupid to know what the word computer means. Now, if a white kid is growing up in the Bronx, presumably the white child in the Bronx knows what the word computer means, but not those black kids. Well, Gavin Newsom comes along this week and says to Kathy Hochul, hold my beer, lady. I can one-up you. He’s apparently in a forum in front of a black audience in the state of Georgia. And he’s talking about, he’s trying to be relatable, I guess, to the black audience. Now, bear in mind, the audience is evidently completely black. And here’s what Gavin Newsom, who desperately wants to be your next president, had to say to that audience.
SPEAKER 04 :
I’m not, you know, I’m not trying to impress you. I’m just trying to impress upon you. I’m like you. I’m no better than you. You know, I’m a 960 SAT guy. And, you know, and I’m not trying to offend anyone, you know, trying to act all there if you got 940. But literally a 960 SAT guy. I cannot, you’ve never seen me read a speech because I cannot read a speech. Maybe the wrong business to be in.
SPEAKER 02 :
The audience is laughing. The moderator, who’s also black, laughing. Do they not hear what he just said? I’m like you. I can’t read. I’m like you, black audience. I’m a 960 SAT. I’m just like you. Think about that. You think a Republican would survive that? Of course not. I’m old enough to remember when they ran What’s-His-Name out of town because he wished Strom Thurmond a happy birthday. Who was that, Eric? I’m drawing a blank. I can see him. I can’t remember his name. Wasn’t he the Speaker of the House? Firestorm of controversy. Oh, because he said nice things to Strom Thurmond on his 100th birthday. That’s how racist he was. And he lost. They ran him out of Washington over it. What a despicable racist for saying anything nice about South Carolina’s Strom Thurmond. And somebody will text me because none of us can remember his name. I can’t believe I can’t remember. Maybe I’ve got to double up on my think factor. I can see him. Glasses, tall guy. Now, fast forward to 2025 and 2026. We’ve got Democrats openly saying that, A, blacks aren’t smart enough to be able to get photo IDs to vote. Blacks don’t know the meaning of the word computer. Blacks are too stupid to read a speech and probably have a 960 SAT score or lower. Those are your stars of the Democrat Party. How about Hillary? Remember Hillary? Eyes in no ways tied. Remember when she did the black, mocked the black accent? Now, we’ve got to ban the movie Song of the South. Good luck finding that movie. But Hillary can go into a black church and, oh, there’s no way it’s Todd. Doing this black minstrel voice. She’s the superstar of the Democrat Party. So who are the racists? Who are the real racists? Trent Lott, thank you very much. Trent Lott dared to say that Strom Thurmond was a good man on his 100th birthday. And that was it for Trent Lott. He was done. Ran him out of town. They did everything but tar and feather him because he was such a racist person. for wishing Strom Thurmond a happy birthday. Now we got Democrat stars talking down to black people like they’re a bunch of idiots. Oh, voter ID laws disenfranchise the black voter and elderly. I never know what the elderly part is. Like elderly people, seniors don’t have any ID. But this is what we’re up against. And if you let Epstein get into your head, we’re going to lose the country. Those people are going to be running things again. That wraps up the Mike Gallagher Show Week in Review podcast, Friday, February 27th, 2026. SPEAKER 03 :
Let me ask you something. Do you ever feel like the rules are different depending on who you are? When it comes to money, Washington has operated a two-tier system for years. Regular investors are told to play it safe. Stick to the same mix of stocks and bonds and hope for steady growth. Meanwhile, the well-connected often get early access to entirely different kinds of opportunities. That gap doesn’t happen by accident. It’s shaped by policy, regulation, timing. And when Washington opens a door, capital tends to move quickly. Right now, there’s an AI-linked, income-style opportunity connected to the massive infrastructure build-out happening across the country. And it doesn’t require picking the next hot tech stock.
