In this episode, host Mike Gallagher delves into the chaotic aftermath of the recent election results. With low voter turnout causing turmoil, we explore political reactions from notable figures like Ted Cruz and the surprising performance of Andrew Cuomo. We also venture into the perplexing world of political fundraising with Zorin Mamdani’s perplexing call for campaign donations post-election. As the discourse unfolds, we discover how social media, political narratives, and media coverage intertwine to shape public perception. Transitioning seamlessly into a broader political conversation, we discuss Nancy Pelosi’s surprising retirement announcement and President Trump’s candid response. Gallagher doesn’t shy

November is National Family Caregivers Month. One in four Americans is stepping up to help older loved ones with everything from meals to bills. Family caregivers spend thousands out of their own pockets each year, and too many have to quit their jobs to keep providing care. Working families can’t afford to wait. It’s time to care for America’s caregivers. Learn more at aarp.org slash care for caregivers. Paid for by AARP.

From the wild world of D.C. politics to America’s culture clash, brace yourself for the reality check you’ve been waiting for. The one and only Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 03 :
As expected, the turnout Tuesday wasn’t great. In fact, the majority of voters didn’t vote in Tuesday’s election. It was kind of sketchy from state to state. We’re trying to look at some analysis. My new friend is ChatGPT. A lot of people use Grok. Grok’s pretty good. ChatGPT is pretty good. Yesterday I had ChatGPT create a jingle for the Mike Gallagher show. And it was good. I’m terrified. You know the day’s going to come where the Mike Gallagher show is going to be hosted by AI. And so chat GPT. For example, New Jersey, strong participation, 20% of registrants.
SPEAKER 1 :
20%. 20%.
SPEAKER 03 :
The meltdown over Tuesday’s election is wild. I saw Ted Cruz last night on Sean Hannity’s show, and I thought, why is Ted acting like this shocking landslide repudiation of the Republican Party happened? Okay. Democrats won where Democrats were expected to win. That’s the debacle that the GOP suffered? There’s some breaking news going on. I saw last night, I think President Trump is expected to make some major announcement at 11 o’clock Eastern Time today. Anybody see that? I saw that on X. I don’t know if it’s true or not. Nancy Pelosi is retiring. I got nothing to say. I’m not going to do it. I’m not going to go there. I’m not going to go down that road. You know the old adage, if you don’t have something nice to say about somebody, don’t say anything at all? Once in a while that applies. That normally doesn’t apply to a talk show host, but it does in this case. I’m not saying anything. The team tried to bait me. Eric played some unfortunate bumper music when I made the announcement. I didn’t comment. I will not confirm or deny if it was even my idea to play the bumper music that he played. I’m just sharing with you the breaking news that Nancy Pelosi, at age 85, now that Democrats won on Tuesday and her big thing was Prop 50… She’s not seeking re-election. I can’t wait to see what kind of lunatic replaces her. Can you only imagine? Somebody told me there’s a real hard left Jewish progressive and another Muslim socialist communist type. You know the shock and the awe that Tuesday instilled in a lot of people? It’s that what if this becomes normal for communists to run American cities? I guess that’s the concern. The New York mayor’s race is probably the one race that was a bit of an anomaly. You know how unpopular Cuomo is? He’s still got over 800,000 votes. The commie, Mamdani, got over a million. But for Andrew Cuomo, the guy whose policies literally led to the deaths of thousands of seniors during COVID, a guy that was run out of town on a rail because of his scandals, he got nearly a million votes. But I’m just mystified that… At some on our side, some smart people. I think Ted Cruz must be just trying to issue a wake-up call. That’s got to be what it’s all about. I mean, I don’t know what other reason he has. I respect him. He’s a smart guy. Here he was last night making headlines when he… projected doom and despair over Tuesday night’s results where Democrats won elections, where Democrats were expected to win elections. Here was Ted Cruz last night with Sean on Fox News.
SPEAKER 08 :
Take about last night. Hello, comrade. How are you?
SPEAKER 13 :
Look, last night was a disaster. It was an electoral blowout. The results in New Jersey were disastrous. The results in Virginia were terrible. The results in New York, Comrade Mondami is the face of the Democrat Party. We have an actual communist jihadist.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, well, let’s get another perspective. Somebody else I respect, somebody who I think makes a lot of sense. He’s the Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson.
SPEAKER 08 :
There’s no surprises. What happened last night was blue states and blue cities voted blue. We all saw that coming. And no one should read too much into last night’s election results. Off-year elections are not indicative of what’s to come. That’s what history teaches us.
SPEAKER 03 :
Here was Ben Shapiro speaking of the 800,000 votes that Cuomo got, who is probably one of the most unpopular politicians in the history of New York. Here was Ben last night on CNN.
SPEAKER 09 :
Andrew Cuomo, who’s a deeply unpopular person in New York, won 800,000 votes in that race last night because there were so many Democrats who didn’t like Zorin Mamdani. So this idea that Zorin Mamdani is overwhelmingly popular across the spectrum, if you include a country that includes half of Republicans, not a city like New York, where perhaps seven people are Republicans and three of them voted for Curtis Sliwa in the end. I’m sorry, it’s not a representative sample. It’s like saying that AOC is representative of the broad spectrum of American politics, and she isn’t.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, all right. By the way, Mom Donnie, who apparently is a man of the people, wants to help New Yorkers with the affordability crisis that he presented to the voters. A while ago, a few months ago, he said, you can stop sending me money. I don’t need any more campaign contributions. Well, now that he has won, he wants more money.
SPEAKER 01 :
There were a few months ago where I told supporters across the city to stop donating. And today I am asking them to start once again. And I am asking them to do so because of the fact that a transition that can meet the moment of preparing for January 1st is one that will require staff. It will require research. It will require infrastructure. And those are things that we will have to provide. And I’m excited for the fact that it will be funded by the very people who brought us to this point, the working people who have been left behind by the politics of the city.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. Now, I have to admit I’m baffled. I’ve never heard this before in my life. He wants… the sheeples, he wants the lemmings, he wants the stooges who bought his phony act about affordability to fund his hires or his infrastructure? What in the hell is he talking about? I’ve never heard of that in my life. How’s that going to work? Am I being naive or am I blissfully ignorant? that when you’re elected to office, you go to the people and say, now send me more money so I can, what, build office space? Don’t they have offices at City Hall? Don’t they already, what in the world are, you know, poor, hardworking, disgruntled New Yorkers who are stupid enough to give him money now going to be funding this? I’m mystified. Can somebody explain it to me? 800-655-MIKE. 15 past the hour. Thursday, November the 6th. I mean, some socialist. Now, you poor people, as we defeat the billionaires and chase them out of New York, incidentally, chase out people of wealth out of the city, give me more money because it’s going to cost money for me to assemble a team. I need somebody who knows the nuts and bolts of how this stuff works to explain to me… And he gave a website and everything. Zoran4Change.com So you’re supposed to… And you know what? They’re stupid enough to give him money. So where’s that money going to go? Does that mean that his staff… will be funded privately? Honest to gosh, that’s wild. Give me money. I know I told you to stop giving me money a while ago. Now I want you to give me money. What in the heck is he talking about? 800-655-MIKE. He wants to make the buses and the subways free so that all the homeless and the violent criminals and the degenerate drug addicts can turn the buses into mobile homeless shelters, right? Well, is that what the money’s going to go to? Because somebody’s got to pay the bus drivers. Someone’s got to pay for the buses. There is no free… Clearly, these young, impressionable, stupid New York kids don’t realize there’s no free. They think there’s free, but, oh, they’re going to pay. And now, day after he’s elected, he says, you’re going to pay. Pay me. You know the speech we played for you yesterday where he turned into the Incredible Hulk? You know, he went from the smiling, gentle, warm, kind communist, and he turned into, like, Hannibal Lecter, roaring at Trump and screeching and spittle flying out of his mouth, that angry, nasty speech he gave, that’s who he is. You know why we know? He sat down yesterday with the New York Times and was the very same way. He sat down in a one-on-one interview with the, I guess, the editorial board of the New York Times, same way. Angry, not conciliatory in any way, shape, or form. ready to enact his rabid agenda, that’s who he is. And what he was as a campaigner was an act. And look, New Yorkers were warned. You better buckle up because you’re about to find out. But seriously, can somebody please explain to me the fundraising for his new staff? Please let me know. That’s all I want right now, guys. I want a caller who can explain to me. Play that clip one more time, Christian, where he talked about asking for money for his transition.
SPEAKER 01 :
There were a few months ago where I told supporters across the city to stop donating. And today I am asking them to start once again. And I am asking them to do so because of the fact that a transition that can meet the moment of preparing for January 1st is one that will require staff. It will require research. SPEAKER 03 :
I’m asking this question from the bottom of my heart. I’m not trying to throw in any shade or emotion here. Does this mean his staff is going to be privately funded? Where is the money going to go? Can you explain it to me, please? Please? Is it going to be for his new, does he have a new wardrobe? Does he want to not live in Gracie Mansion? Because that’s too ostentatious and too prone to, you know, remind people of capitalism. So he wants to get a, you know, a real chic apartment in the village. And he wants people to pay for that privately. What will, where will that money go? Any ideas?
SPEAKER 07 :
Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 03 :

SPEAKER 03 :
Gosh, real shocking news from the Dallas Cowboys franchise. You saw the game the other day. You saw Marshawn Neeland on Monday night. He recovered a blocked punt and scored a touchdown, living his dream. They announced just moments ago he has passed away at the age of 24. What sad news. Dallas Cowboys defensive end dead at the age of 24. No cause of death. revealed. What a sad, sad story. Look, make every day count. You just never know. Every day, live it like it’s your, live life to the full. Zoran Mamdani’s living his best life. So explain to me how this works. that he’s now asking for money to help with his transition. You should have heard Christian from my team try to explain this to me just now. As best I could decipher Christian’s convoluted explanation, and it’s not the first time that they’ve done this, I guess, in New York, he’s basically asking his supporters to fund the consultants who are going to help him pick his team. What in the actual what? Becky in Fort Lauderdale. Becky, can you make sense of this Mom Donnie fundraising?
SPEAKER 02 :
Hey, I’m actually in Marco Island, Florida, but I did run for city council and I won. And there are some very, very strict rules about fundraising. So I don’t know in New York what theirs are, but in Florida… If you’re in a campaign, you stop fundraising at the election day. So if you have money left over after you win or if you lose, you have money left over. If you win, there’s a couple things you can do with it. One, you can donate it to a good cause, a charity, or you can use it to fund your office or your staff. That’s what I would think.
SPEAKER 03 :
I mean, wouldn’t he have money left over from his campaign?
SPEAKER 02 :
Right. But the thing that I’m wondering about is why is he starting fundraising over again? Because in Florida, you’re not fundraising unless you’re in a campaign. Right. And there are very strict laws about it. So I don’t know what New York’s laws are, but in Florida, it’s very easily spelled out and it’s strict. This is interesting. I don’t know what the heck he’s saying.
SPEAKER 03 :
I don’t either. Becky, one thing we both know, Florida is definitely not New York. Florida is not the same. They are both not the same. 800-655-MIKE. Hey, Marjorie Taylor Greene, ready for her to be a presidential candidate? We’ll tackle that next. You ready to drop up to 20 pounds or more by the new year? SPEAKER 1 :
Twenty-six minutes before the hour, some breaking news. Nancy Pelosi has announced she’s retiring from Congress at age 85. Who’s that music?
SPEAKER 03 :
I have nothing to say. I have no words to choose. I happen to dislike her enormously. I happen to believe that her shredding, tearing up Trump’s State of the Union speech was an unforgivable offense. Just the other day, she called Trump the most vile creature in the world. She’s ranting. I heard Chris DeGaulle’s, here I am saying I don’t want to talk about her, and I’m about to talk about her. Because that’s me. I’m in a mood today. I’m in a weird mood. I’m looking around and just wondering about our country. the direction our country is going in. I’m excited about heading to Chicago. Now I’m going to go tonight instead of tomorrow because I’m freaking out over the 10% of flights that are going to be reduced, including Chicago’s O’Hare International and the Tampa International Airport. So with my luck, I can get to Chicago. And I’m so excited about going to Freedom Summit 2025 this Saturday. And heaven forbid I don’t make it because the stupid flights get canceled because the Democrats have forced the government into this prolonged shutdown. I thought, well, they’ll probably open it up the day after now that they got their wish on Tuesday night. But so far, no progress. And so the FAA has announced a massive cutback in flights. Thousands of flights are going to get canceled starting tomorrow. as the Democrats use their leverage to hurt the American people with their shutdown. Now we’re going to get impacted on flights. So this morning I called Eric. I said, look, I’ve got to get there today. So I think we’re going to broadcast tomorrow from the AM560 The Answer studios. So I’ll get there a day early. I’ll be there Friday. The event is Saturday. And there are some tickets left. It’s called Freedom Summit 2025 Chicago. Scott Jennings, Ben Carson, Dan Proft, Sean Thompson, Mike Gallagher. We’re all going to be at the Westin Chicago in Itasca to get tickets. Go to 560theanswer.com. And order your tickets. It’s a huge event. It’s a big deal. I know Scott’s excited. We’re all excited. I got to talk to Sean the other night on his show. And we’re going to have a tremendous time. And I’m going to get in early. And then I’m supposed to go from Chicago to New York for a big event there on Sunday. A private event. Lord knows if I’ll get into New York, get out of New York. I might see you again. You might hear from me in about February. I may wind up going down the black hole of travel hell. So anyway, we’ll talk about Nancy’s retirement. South Carolina just said, oh, I was going to tell you about Chris DeGaulle. Chris’s nickname for Nancy Pelosi is Sloppy Choppers. And he just says it with such casualness. Yeah, you know, sloppy choppers, Pelosi. Because when she talks, it does feel like those dentures are going to pop out any moment. Any moment, those dentures are going to pop right out of her head. And so Chris Stegall, as in typical Chris Stegall fashion, has nicknamed Mrs. Pelosi sloppy choppers. I almost drove the car off the bridge when he said that. Sloppy choppers. Here’s President Trump reacting. Peter Doocy asked President Trump on Fox News Channel about Nancy’s big retirement announcement.
SPEAKER 14 :
chatted with President Trump about this breaking news that Nancy Pelosi will be leaving Washington. He tells me the following, and this is a quote. The retirement of Nancy Pelosi is a great thing for America. She was evil, corrupt, and only focused on bad things for our country. She was rapidly losing control of her party, and it was never coming back. I’m very honored she impeached me twice and failed miserably twice. Nancy Pelosi is a highly overrated politician. And so that is the first word, but definitely not the last word from President Trump about this, because about 90 minutes from right now, we do expect to see him in the Oval Office. The two of them, of course, throughout his entire first term had historic battles, whether it was over funding, whether it was over his impeachment. The two of them did not get along at all.
SPEAKER 03 :
You know the thing I don’t like about Donald Trump, whatever you think of him, the one thing I always hate about him, he always holds back. I just wish he’d let us know how he really feels. You know, he’s so subtle. He’s so subtle. She’s evil and corrupt and wants to destroy America. Tell us what you really think, Mr. President. But incidentally, he’s right. Has there really ever been… a more grotesque act in the history of the country, political, just a political stunt, than her ripping up the State of the Union? I’ll never, I’ll never get over that. Remember what that was like when we watched her do that? She’s the stupid Speaker of the House standing there ripping up his speech as he’s standing there. Vile, vile, vile woman. So, so much for me not talking about, so much for me following my mom’s rule, if you don’t have anything nice to say about somebody, don’t say it. I also love all the texters pointing out the bumper music that we were playing. Like, I don’t know. Newsflash. I kind of know what, you know. There’s a chance that might have been my idea. I’m just saying. I could take the easy way out and blame Eric Hansen. Oh, boy, oh, boy, oh, boy. How about Marjorie Taylor Greene maybe running for president? You’ve got to tackle that. Because you know something? Don’t bet against her. I’m bullish on this. I’m telling you right now, there’s something about this potential candidacy that I think has legs. And let me tell you why. First of all, she was on The View this week. And To quote my buddy Mark Davis in Dallas, she was magnificent. Now, I saw stuff on social media where they criticized her. People are mad at her for even going on The View. She’s been on The View. She went on Bill Maher the other night. She was on CNN the other day. And you know what? She’s winning everybody over. People like her. People who don’t like Trump like her. Now, I don’t know that that’s a badge of honor. You may think that’s not exactly a badge of honor. Here she was on The View talking about the men who make up Republican Party leadership.
SPEAKER 12 :
You know, I think there’s a lot of paid social media influencers. And I found it very interesting that they were the MAGA accounts, but they’re all paid. And they all attacked me when I announced I was coming to join you ladies on The View. And I think that’s very weak and pathetic. But when I talk about weak Republican men, I’m pretty much talking oftentimes about the leadership in the House and the Senate. And they’re just not getting our agenda done.
SPEAKER 03 :
Here she was talking about her background. You know, she’s a businesswoman. She has a successful business in Georgia, as I understand it. And she kind of talks about who she is, where she came from.
SPEAKER 12 :
Here’s something you all may not know about me. I think a lot of people on the left are learning that when I ran for Congress in 2020, I ran criticizing Republicans and Democrats equally because I come from a working class family, ran a construction company for over 20 years. And I feel like the government has failed all of us. And it purely disgusts me. It really does. And I represent a district that is rural, a manufacturing district, blue-collar workers. And people have been crushed by decades of failure in Washington, D.C. And so I have no problem pointing fingers at everyone. And the worst thing that I just can’t get over is we’re not working right now. And I put that criticism directly on the Speaker of the House. And we should be at work. All the people sitting in this audience, they go to work every day. People at home watching this show, they go to work every day. Ladies, you go to work every day. The people on your set. And it is an embarrassment to me that we’re not in session. And getting paid. I’m not taking a paycheck. Good for you. I’m not taking a paycheck.
SPEAKER 03 :
I mean, she got all these ladies on The View eating out of the palm of her hand, which is infuriating. Everybody who hates the loony left, the loony leftists on The View. And she mentioned her disdain for Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the House. Here she was, I think this is courtesy of News Nation, describing how she let him have it behind closed doors.
SPEAKER 11 :
Do you believe now that Democrats have the upper hand in 2026? It’s the slightest margin in modern political history.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah. Well, historically, the majority party always loses in the midterms. The only time the majority party didn’t was after 9-11. So historically, you would say, OK, Democrats have the upper hand going into this. But Republicans would be the ones handing Democrats the victory by not passing our agenda. And the fact that the House has been closed for six weeks now is a complete and total utter failure. failure. And that’s on the Speaker of the House. While the rest of America is going to work every single day, you’re going to work. People in this building are going to work. Mike Johnson is telling us to stay home and not do our jobs.
SPEAKER 11 :
So what does Mike Johnson, like if you were to be able to talk to Mike Johnson right now, you would tell him what?
SPEAKER 12 :
Tell him the same thing I told him last week, and I yelled at him on the phone on our GOP conference call. What’d you say? Is that where is our health care plan? It’s nonexistent. Democrats created this problem years ago, but Republicans have never fixed it. And I said we need to be back at work, and not being in session is basically pathetic.
SPEAKER 11 :
What did he say to you?
SPEAKER 12 :
He gave me the same talking points he gives to the press every single day.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, I’m going to say something that might tick you off. I don’t know. I’m interested in your reaction to my opinion. She checks a lot of boxes. She checks a lot of boxes, and she’s pulling something off that is really difficult to do. She’s getting people who hate Trump to like her, and she is 100% MAGA. She is absolutely the MAGA agenda warrior. 800-655-MIKE. Let me get your reaction to Marjorie Taylor Greene reportedly thinking about running for president in 2028. Join us. 800-655-MIKE. SPEAKER 03 :
Promo code MikeG. A little unusual bumper music today, but hey, who knows what’s in Eric’s mind. Nine minutes before the hour, 800-655-MIKE. Some breaking news. Nancy Pelosi has announced she’s retiring from Congress. Godspeed, sloppy choppers. Can I steal Chris DeGaulle’s nickname for her? Sloppy choppers. A lot of text messages. Here’s Ohio, Columbus. Marjorie Taylor Greene is not MAGA. She uses the media for attention. I’m not falling for it. Huh. Georgia, she’s an idiot. Huh. All right. Here’s Susan, Illinois. You’re on the Mike Gallagher Show. Hello, Susan.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yes, hello, Mike. Hey. God bless you.
SPEAKER 03 :
God bless you.
SPEAKER 10 :
And I would just like to say that… What we have in the White House right now is the best we’ve ever had. And with Trump and with Speaker Mike Johnson is remarkable. How about Marjorie Taylor Greene? Marjorie Taylor, I do love her, but I do think that she hasn’t the right knowledge of what’s going on there.
SPEAKER 03 :
All right, let’s see what others think. Jay in the upstate of South Carolina. Jay, what do you think about Marge?
SPEAKER 15 :
First, let me give you a compliment.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes, sir.
SPEAKER 15 :
I don’t always agree with you on everything, but since Charlie Kirk’s death, you seem to be studying Charlie’s Socratic method of debate. and hearing the other side a lot better. So I want to compliment you on that.
SPEAKER 03 :
Thank you. That’s nice of you. Well, I work on it every day. That’s a work in progress. I always try to keep my emotions in check, and I’ve got to remember I’ve got to do better. And I always try, but some days I fall short. But I appreciate you noticing.
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, you’re like me. We’re both passionate about our beliefs.
SPEAKER 03 :
Exactly.
SPEAKER 15 :
And it’s hard to kind of keep that passion alive. at bay when you’re debating. It’s very difficult. And I have a problem with it also. As far as Marjorie Taylor Greene goes, I don’t agree with Marjorie Taylor on everything. But I do applaud her. I think she’s a good communicator, better than Trump. And she has taken a stance on some things I agree with that are different than Trump. And she’s not as divisive as Trump is. So she can at least communicate with people on the other side of the aisle, even though she may or may not really agree with them.
SPEAKER 03 :
I’m getting a sense you’re not really a big Donald Trump fan.
SPEAKER 15 :
I’m a big fan of Trump. I voted for him three times. I don’t agree with everything that’s happened since he was elected. Unlike you, I don’t suffer from… TDS on the right side. I don’t believe Trump walks on water. He’s not God.
SPEAKER 03 :
You think I suffer from TDS on the right?
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah. You said it yourself, indirectly. What does that mean? What you said, you follow Trump, trust Trump in every way. I trust Trump.
SPEAKER 03 :
I trust the guy implicitly. Why does that mean I’m suffering from some syndrome?
SPEAKER 15 :
I’ll give an example. The big, beautiful bill I was horribly against. Mainly because of the safety. It’s been… I mean, some of the things, a lot of the things we want.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, but that’s a pivot. You’re pivoting. That’s a policy disagreement. You have every right to feel that way. And there’s aspects of the big, beautiful. Excuse me. Let me finish my point. There’s aspects of the big, beautiful bill that I don’t understand either. I don’t particularly agree with. There’s a lot of things about governance out of the federal government that I don’t agree with. That doesn’t mean I don’t trust him. Where do you not trust him? You think he’s deceitful?
SPEAKER 15 :
Trump loves death, and I am a fiscal conservative. Yeah, but that’s a policy issue. What don’t you trust about him? Well, that’s not a trust issue.
SPEAKER 03 :
Trust speaks to character. No, I mean, that’s what I mean. And you say, and this is what I mean about the people that aren’t always on board with Trump. And I appreciate you. Look, you feel that way. And I honor that. You know what? That doesn’t mean I’m suffering from a derangement syndrome because I trust him. I trust him on the filibuster. If I had more time, I’d like to pick your brain on that because I’ll bet you’re against that. I think he’s right. You better get the job done. and we better implement his agenda or we’re not going to have a country. Tommy Tuberville said it best. Democrats are going to get rid of the filibuster anyway, so we ought to do it now. Sure, I trust Trump and I’m proud of it. But that’s just me. Let’s keep fighting the good fight together, shall we? Coming up, I want you to hear what Tommy Tuberville said about the filibuster. And Trump is scheduled to make a big announcement. We’ll see what it is. When we know, you’ll know. Here on the Mike Gallagher Show.
