He’s the happy conservative warrior. From the Relief Factor studios, sitting in for Mike today, here’s Joey Hudson.
SPEAKER 02 :
Welcome in on this Monday edition of the Mike Gallagher Show. Mike, in jury duty today, we’ll kind of keep in touch. You think he will be chosen? Is there any jury who would choose Mike Gallagher? Any lawyer, I should say, would choose Mike Gallagher to sit on his or her jury? If Mike gets a break, we’re going to check in with him sometime, maybe during the show. Happy to be with you. 800-655-MIKE, 1-800-655-6453 is how you join the conversation today. Your comments are welcome on the MyPillow text line. You can call, and Teresa will put you in queue. We’ll talk as time permits. Emails are always welcome directly, joey at joeyhudson.com. We’ve got a busy, busy Monday for you. Yeah. During an appearance on Sunday Morning Futures yesterday, President Trump talked about a transition period that we most likely are headed into in relationship to our economy. Not wanting to use the word recession, but saying that as tariffs take effect, and this is very fluid, this is a moving target. that we could be in a transition period. Also, we learned over the weekend that a lot of those pardons and executive orders that the Biden White House was sending out, evidently Joe Biden did not actually sign them. A machine called an auto pen signed a lot of those official documents from the Biden-Harris administration. Does that mean that maybe Joe Biden really didn’t know what was coming out of his office? We’re going to dig into the Heritage Foundation’s report. They compared a number of documents with Joe Biden’s, what they know to be his real signature, which, by the way, the letter that he sent in saying that he would be dropping out of the presidential race after the dismal performance he had last June in the debate, we know for a fact that was his handwriting. And that was compared with a lot of the other official documents, if you will. And it was very obvious that this auto pen machine had been signing a great number of those documents. Also, the Department of Government Efficiency has announced that over the weekend they did another doze dump. Contracts are being canceled. They’ve found hundreds of millions of dollars in grants and loans. that appear to have gone to children, in some cases younger than 11 years old. And in some cases, the names on the application did not match the Social Security numbers. Now, I understand we don’t hold bureaucrats to that high of a standard, but anyone processing these applications, if the name and the Social Security number does not match, Wouldn’t that be a red flag? Who in their right mind would approve that type of application? Who would send checks for $10,000, $15,000, in some cases $25,000? And we wonder why we are in the shape that we’re in. We wonder why we have $30-plus trillion of debt. And this is just another example of the job that Elon Musk is doing and the necessity of having Donald Trump in the White House to make these tough decisions because we’re going to have some pretty rough times, I’m afraid, in the coming months. From the standpoint of these groups, as these cuts continue and these pet projects start losing their funding – Just about everybody in the United States will be affected somehow. I mean, I already have several friends who are associated with different organizations whose funding is being threatened and probably going to be cut. And I don’t want anyone to lose their job. But isn’t that what this is all about? I mean… People who are on the government dole, a lot of those, their funding is going to be cut. They’re going to need to go find one of these new jobs that’s going to be created as manufacturing comes back to the United States as a result of the tariffs. They can find a job. Now, they’re going to have to actually work. They’ll actually have to go to the office because that’s how most businesses operate, unlike the government who allows you to stay home. But this is part of the process that we’re going to have to do if we’re going to get our country turned around, if we’re going to build a strong economy that can withstand anything. And that’s why I am so happy that Donald Trump is in the White House. Because Trump is the only person who has the backbone to make these decisions and to reassure us it’s going to be okay. Yes, there may be some tough times. But we’ll get through it and we’ll come out much stronger. As he was talking to Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures yesterday in cut number three, again, he talked about this transition period, hesitating to say that it’s going to be a recession. Here’s Donald Trump.
SPEAKER 08 :
There are rising worries about a slowdown. You’ve got the Atlanta Federal Reserve saying we’re going to have a contraction in the first quarter. Look, I know that you inherited a mess. I’ve only been here. Are you expecting a recession this year?
SPEAKER 12 :
I hate to predict things like that. There is a period of transition because what we’re doing is very big. We’re bringing wealth back to America. That’s a big thing. And there are always periods of it takes a little time. It takes a little time, but I think it should be great for us. I mean, I think it should be great.
SPEAKER 08 :
Before you came into the Oval Office the first time, you were a very successful businessman, very successful real estate executive. And a lot of people said, oh, this is the business president. This is it. He’s watching the stock market. He knows all about, you know, he doesn’t want the market to go down. And now we’ve got tariffs and the market has been going down. Well, not much. I mean, in all fairness. You said, look, we’re going to have a disruption, but we’re okay with that. Is that what you meant, the stock market going down was the disruption?
SPEAKER 12 :
What other disruption were you alluding to? Look, what I have to do is build a strong country. You can’t really watch the stock market. If you look at China, they have a 100-year perspective. We have a quarter. We go by quarters. That’s true. And you can’t go by that. You have to do what’s right. What we’re doing is we’re building a tremendous foundation for the future, tremendous foundation. Everything’s been taken away. We don’t make ships anymore. We don’t, you know, you just saw one of the biggest shipbuilders in the world, one of the biggest shipping people in the whole world. In the Oval Office with you. In the Oval Office. He’s announcing a $20 billion investment.
SPEAKER 02 :
In the ReliefFactor.com studios, I’m Joey Hudson. In for Mike today, yeah, it’s… There’s going to be some tough times, and that’s what we have to be prepared for. And we have to understand that we’re going to stick with President Trump, knowing that he’s doing what’s best for a long-term solution. Look, he’s only been there just over a month.
SPEAKER 1 :
800-655-MIKE, 1-800-655-6453.
SPEAKER 02 :
Are you okay with what’s happening with the tariffs? Are you prepared? to maybe have to pay a little more for imported goods, knowing that manufacturing in the U.S. is going to be ramped up. And soon, there’ll be more American-made products, which, by the way, will create those American jobs. Maybe some of those bureaucrats who are about to lose their job can go to work for some of the new manufacturers. Does this all make sense? 800-655-6453. You can text me on the MyPillow text line. Phone calls are welcome. Email is directly joey at joeyhudson.com. Great to have you in on this Monday edition of the Mike Gallagher Show.

Joey Hudson in for Mike today. Get your daily dose of Dennis Prager at PragerTopia.com. Become a PragerTopia member today and listen to full episodes of the Dennis Prager Show anytime you want. Just go to PragerTopia.com and join now. President Trump yesterday on Sunday Morning Futures, avoiding using the word recession, but it’s obviously something that we think about and talk about. Because it only makes sense that if tariffs are going to be raised on goods coming in, it’s not realistic to think that the manufacturers are going to absorb all of those. They’re going to pass it on to the consumers. A texter on the MyPillow text line says, I really want to hear people start talking about other countries’ tariffs on U.S. goods. Everybody keeps giving the horror show of what the tariffs are that we’re passing to Canada and Mexico, but nobody’s talking about things like the 249 percent, or should I say up to 249 percent, for poultry being shipped into Canada and other goods that we’re getting sold. charge massive tariffs on for our goods going to their countries. So I want people to really start understanding it because anytime anyone says anything, people say, where’s your proof? It’s online and easy to find. Yeah, I mean, there are a lot of countries around the world who charge very hefty tariffs on U.S.-made goods. But I think after these four years of just horrendous inflation and the experience that we’ve had, and that’s why Donald Trump won so easily in November, is because Americans are tired of struggling. Americans are tired of worrying about paying their rent, filling their automobile up with gasoline, paying their utilities, their electricity, their water, buying groceries. We’ve seen so many goods that eggs, I mean, eggs. I saw a video that’s being circulated on a lot of social media sites right now of a lady getting a pedicure in a salon, and it comes time to pay, and she pulls out a carton of eggs and starts counting out eggs as her payment. That’s kind of where we are. Eggs are expensive. But it’s going to take a little while. to get these things done. Now, I was encouraged when I heard Commerce Secretary Howard Luttnick on NBC yesterday as he was pretty confident in cut number four saying that prices of imports will be up. Yes, that’s a given. But American products… are going to be cheaper once we start manufacturing things here and bringing the manufacturing back here so that Americans have those jobs and we have more access to American-made products. Here’s Howard Lutnick.
SPEAKER 11 :
I think it’s important for people to realize that we run $2 trillion deficits, and Donald Trump is going to try to balance the budget of the United States of America. And when you balance the budget of the United States of America, you drive interest rates down 150 basis points, 1.5%. You’re going to have mortgages come smashing down the cost of Your home will come smashing down. We’re going to drill, baby, drill and drive down the price of energy. That’s coming down. So these two massive moves are going to happen. And you know who’s going to pay for that? Tariffs and outside countries who just leech off of us, lean on us, earn money off of us. They’ve got to start to pay. I want President Trump wants the American people to start to understand the external revenue service should start to pay. Yes, some products that are made foreign might be more expensive, but American products will get cheaper, and that’s the point. Buy American, made by great Americans. We’re going to bring manufacturing back. That’s where we’re going. That’s where this president is going. Bring it back. So will there be distortions? Of course. Foreign goods may get a little more expensive, but American goods are going to get cheaper, and you’re going to be helping Americans by buying American.
SPEAKER 02 :
And this all makes sense, doesn’t it? I mean, I remember many years ago, and being from upstate South Carolina, this at one time was the textile capital of the world. And a local entrepreneur who was very, very successful, Roger Millican, And his company, unfortunately, Roger is not with us anymore, but his company lives on, is very strong, makes a lot of products. They were a leader in textiles. And Mr. Milliken started this whole Buy in America thing. He’s very proud of the fact. He wanted you to look at the labels. And every product that his company made had an American flag and a Made in USA label. Maybe we need to get back to be very conscious of where the products that we buy are made. Now, granted, it’s hard to find sometimes. Some items… You go through the stores, the shelves, and it’s just hard to find a product that’s made in America because so many products, inexpensive products from Taiwan and China. But we’ve got to make a conscious effort to start doing that. And as these companies start building these manufacturing plants, it’s going to be easier to find. SPEAKER 09 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior. From the Relief Factor studio, sitting in for Mike today, here’s Joey Hudson.
SPEAKER 02 :
Welcome in. Glad to have you join me and spend a few minutes of your day with me. Joey Hudson in for Mike Gallagher. There’s lots of ways for you to join us today. You can call. Teresa will put you in queue. We’ll talk as time permits. 800-655-MIKE. 1-800-655-6453. Your emails are welcome. Just email me directly. Joey at JoeyHudson.com. Of course, your comments on the MyPillow text line are appreciated as well. 800-655-6453. Regardless of how you do it, I hope you’ll join the conversation today. We’ve got a lot to cover. I just love what Elon Musk and his Department of Government efficiency is doing. And I really have trouble wrapping my mind around why some people are objecting to this. Maybe you can help me with that today. Why would any hardworking, taxpaying American object? object to what Elon Musk and Doge is doing. When you read about some of the absurdities, and they did another Doge dump over the weekend. These people work around the clock. They work on weekends. What government agency have you ever heard of working over the weekend? But Saturday, once again, we learned of their latest. They announced a further wave of contract terminations, noting that they had identified thousands of cases where more than $300 million in loans were granted to children. Let me repeat that. Thousands of cases, $300 million of your money, my money, loaned to children. Doe said it identified that the Small Business Administration had granted nearly 5,600 loans for $312 million to borrowers who only listed their age as 11 years old or younger at the time of the loan. Now, what 11-year-old, and particularly younger, can complete an application for a loan and would deserve a loan? Now, the agency wrote on X, while it’s possible to have business arrangements where this is legal, that is highly unlikely for these 5,593 loans as they will also be used as a Social Security. Oh, it notes that they also had a lot of incorrect Social Security numbers with incorrect names. In other words, the application had one name and another Social Security number that didn’t match. Obviously, whoever was processing these applications weren’t paying a lot of attention. Now, these evidently averaged $15,000, $20,000, $30,000. Not a lot of money in the overall scheme of things, but when you add them up, when you have over 5,600 of them, then it equals millions. So what bureaucrat… in their right mind, has an application from an 11-year-old whose name doesn’t match the Social Security number, and they approve it. Who does that? And does it make you a little bit angry just hearing about this, knowing that this is how they wasted your money, my money? Now it’s just added to the trillions and trillions of debt that we owe and the interest that that we’re paying on our debt every year, does that make you a little angry? It does me. And I try not to get angry. I try not to let things like this bother me. But this is what our federal government has been doing. This is what Joe Biden and Kamala Harris was proud of doing. This is why Joe Biden initially thought he should be reelected to do more of, and Kamala Harris certainly did. The borrowers, according to the report, not only were kids, I guess they were equal opportunity and didn’t discriminate because of age, because there were also some people who were over 100 years old. You know, we’ve heard these horror stories over the past few weeks of people collecting Social Security who are over 100. Now, there’s been some disputes of that. There’s been some who’ve said, well, maybe the original recipient had a birth date that would put them at 100 or 110 or whatever, but their beneficiaries are the ones who are actually receiving it until their death. And that may be the case in some instances. But we’re talking about COVID money. We’re talking about COVID loans like the PPP program, the Paycheck Protection Program, the Economic Injury Disaster Loans. And according to Doge, they shared a post on X and revealed that in 2021 – 2020 and 2021, the Small Business Association issued 3,095 loans for $333 million combined to borrowers over 115 years old. Borrowers were still marked alive in the Social Security database. In one case, a 157-year-old individual received $36,000 in an SBA loan. Wow. In President Donald Trump’s address to Congress, he bashed instances of where we’ve seen things like this. According to the president, at one point, a 360-year-old person had received benefits. All because some bureaucrat just didn’t bother to check. Now, again, there’s some people who… Elon Musk has ruffled their feathers, so to speak. They like to dig in and get down into the weeds. Well, he’s not a government employee. He shouldn’t be doing this. He shouldn’t have access to this type of data. Why? He’s an American. American citizen. He pays taxes. Why shouldn’t he have access to this? And look… He’s not taking a salary. He’s doing this because he loves our country. Why would you be critical of a man who just wants to do the right thing and wants to save you and me some money? Well, I’ll tell you, the media has tried to drive a wedge between Elon Musk and President Trump. It ain’t working. Over the weekend… President Trump, in cut number two, talked about how he believes what Elon Musk is doing is valuable. And he says that Doge is going to continue to find waste and abuse.
SPEAKER 08 :
What Elon Musk and Doge has been able to uncover is unbelievable. Half of us did not even realize. And stop there. Because, look, stop there.
SPEAKER 12 :
You just said what he’s done is unbelievable. Now, you could then add some, well, but what about the… He’s found hundreds of billions of dollars worth of fake contracts. And I read just a tiny portion of them the other night. Transgender surgery on mice. Hundreds of I mean, the money they’re spending on all of this. The whole thing’s a scam. And you’ll find ultimately that the money that they sent comes back to a lot of the people that made those deals. OK, you’re going to find that. What he’s also done is made people realize how many people should be cut. Because normally you go in and say, cut 4% of your workforce. He said cut 50%, 60%, 70%. That’s a big thing. No, he’s done a great job. And he’s paying a price for it. He didn’t do this. He’s paying a price for it, I guess. I don’t know. He actually is a real patriot. This is something that’s really not good for him. And yet he’s doing it. But he’s opened a lot of eyes.
SPEAKER 02 :
Opened a lot of eyes for sure. Now, that doesn’t sound like to me a president who is having second thoughts of recruiting Elon Musk. Is it you? And look, the only thing that I hope, as you’ll recall, Doge was set up as a sunset agency. He has until, what, next fall to wrap this up? The only thing I hope that happens is that our Republicans in the U.S. House and U.S. Senate recognize the importance of the work that Elon Musk is doing, and they make it as permanent. DOES should be a permanent program, and it should always be made up of outsiders. Don’t put a bunch of bureaucrats in there. Let Elon Musk and people like Elon Musk continue the work that he has started. You agree? Call your senator. Call your U.S. rep. Let them know that you support Elon Musk, you support what DOES is doing, and encourage them to make this a permanent program. a constant watchdog over the spending that takes place of our money. 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. SPEAKER 05 :
The Mike Gallagher Show. So they have no problem with the waste and the fraud and the abuse as long as their special interest groups are being funded and their ideology is being promoted regardless of the will of the American people. But our country can’t simply survive that. We are very thankful that Donald Trump and his team are saying enough is enough. They are going to save this nation for the American people.
SPEAKER 09 :
In the ReliefFactor.com studios, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 02 :
Joey Hudson in for Mike. A lot of text messages coming in on the MyPillow text line. A texter says, hey, Joey, massive fraud. That’s why nobody wants to work. Everything is free. And you’re right. When people get stuff for free and they can stay at home, why would they work? That’s why the other part of what Trump is doing is so valuable that. that we eliminate some of these government jobs that will force them to, or government programs, I should say, that will force them to get a job and be productive citizens, give back to our country. It works for all of us. Texter, you know what’s happening here. Dems will get in and reinstate all these jobs and say that we created all these. Well, that’s what Joe Biden did. He loved to tell you about all the jobs that he created. He failed to talk about the fact that we had gone through a pandemic and companies had closed down and a lot of people had lost their jobs. So you had nowhere to go but up. Texter says, Joey, I heard where some Republicans want to fund some of the programs that Doge has identified as fraud. Look, there’s going to be some turf wars. And that’s why we have to keep the pressure on our elected officials and not just the Democrats, but the Republicans, too. Because when you start cutting some of these pet projects, and right now Trump and Elon Musk and all the cabinet heads, they’re choosing the low-hanging fruit, the easy ones. But as we get into this process, there’s going to be programs that are probably going to affect you. But we have to start somewhere, and we have to be committed to doing this because our federal government is doing things it was never intended to do, period. Let’s go to the phones. Mike is in Hammond, Indiana. Welcome to the Mike Gallagher Show.
SPEAKER 10 :
Hey, Joey. Thanks for taking my call. Sure thing. Yeah, in my opinion, there’s just so much grifting going on, waste, wasteful spending. When Lee Zeldin found $2 billion that was going to Stacey Abrams, for goodness sakes, with this climate group, whatever she was with, what were they going to do for that money?
SPEAKER 02 :
Talk about a bunch of crooks. Yes.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yes. As soon as you start seeing some people go into jail for this, including some politicians, they’re going to be on both sides, like you said, because some of these career politicians have been on the take for a long time, in my opinion. So if they want to win more of the American people over with this Doge, you’re going to have to come up with some
SPEAKER 02 :
charges being being uh you know and mike we all have to recognize the fact that we’re all going to have to sacrifice a little here uh there’s there’s going to be programs that that we have um have participated in in some form or fashion and maybe maybe some programs that you never even thought about being federally funded that are going to have to go away well look
SPEAKER 10 :
Within those programs, though, there’s so much waste. They could cut the waste out, and the legitimate people on those programs, they don’t see a thing. They won’t see a thing.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah, true, very true. Hey, Mike, appreciate your phone call. Thank you for listening. 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. Glad to have you with me. Joey Hudson in from Mike today. Hey, I need to get your help. Mike wanted me to… appeal to you to keep the momentum running here. You guys were very gracious and generous last week as we kicked off the Food for the Poor campaign, and we’ve got to keep the momentum going because there are a lot of kids who are literally starving that we can help feed. And listeners like you, last week we were able to raise over $46,000. and we need to continue to help Food for the Poor. It’s a great Christian relief agency, and they’re feeding these children throughout Latin America who in some cases would not even get a school lunch because it’s different down there. They don’t have school lunch programs. Food for the Poor and other agencies help fund them with generous donations from people like you and me. I chipped in my money last week. Mike and I sort of did a little competition there. But these programs and these food programs are 100% funded by donations from people like you. So will you help us today? Will you join our campaign to help feed these kids? For $100, you can feed a child lunch for one year in El Salvador. For $300, three kids. Do the math. 15 kids, a whole school room for $1,500. Go to MikeOnline.com. There’s a banner right across the top. You can’t miss it. Click on the Feed Their Future button and give as generously as you can. $25, $50, $100, $1,000, $5,000, whatever you can do. If you’re driving, I want you to be safe. When you get to a good point, text the keyword food to 800-655-MIKE. Just text the keyword food. We’ll send you a link so that you have all the information you need when you get to a safe place and you can make your tax-deductible contribution. If you’d like to call, have your credit card ready and call 844-360-4673. I’m sorry, 844-860-4673. Give generously so that we can let Mike know that I carried the torch today in his absence and we can continue to raise money to feed these children. And thank you in advance for your generosity. 800-655-6453. As I go through this list, and the list is getting long, you can go to the website. Just go to doze.gov backslash savings, and you can see in real time. Right now we’re at $105 billion estimated savings. That’s $652.17 per taxpayer so far, this just over a month. But when you read numbers like the story out of New York, Columbia University, you know how some of the militants literally took over the campus at Columbia University? because they oppose, they hate Israel, they hate Jews, and anti-Semitism just runs rampant. Well, Columbia University is about to lose $400 million in federal grants because they have allowed this to happen. Finally, the Trump administration has their attention. Earlier this week, the Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Education, and U.S. General Services announced the initiation of a comprehensive review of more than $5 billion in federal grant money that goes to Columbia University. And see, it’s going to take things like this, folks, to get their attention so that these universities, they think they can just ignore us. They think that this money is an endless faucet and nobody’s going to turn it off. Well, guess what? Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and these great folks that Donald Trump has in his cabinet, there’s no programs immune from this. This $400 million that they’ve already canceled is just the tip of the iceberg, it appears, for Columbia University. The president of Columbia University wants to talk. Suddenly, they have their interest. They want to talk about this. They want to negotiate. Should Trump negotiate with them? 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. I’m Joey. In for Mike.
