SPEAKER 08 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior. From the Relief Factor Studios, here’s Mike Dillon.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s a big day. It’s April 1st, but don’t be fooled. Do not consider staying home if you’re a Wisconsin voter. You’ve got to fight for your country, like you did on November 5th. Remember how great it felt? You voted, and you got the outcome that you prayed for. Now you’ve got to do it all over again. And I remember fighting for Georgia, and we got stuck with Ossoff and Warnock because people didn’t vote. Republicans stayed home. And I don’t want to beat you up, Georgia, but you happy with those guys? Look, Trump got a mandate to take this country in a different direction. He could lose his ability to take this country in a different direction. if Wisconsin voters don’t elect Brad Schimel on the Supreme Court. The angry left is pouring tons of money into this race to get her over the finish line so that she can change the makeup of the House of Representatives. This election has huge national implications. Hakeem Jeffries promised it. He said the quiet part out loud. I want you to hear a report out of Florida. I had a rare moment of a fit of pique with my pal Mark Davis, who this morning said, I’m pretty confident about Florida. I think we’re okay there. You can’t take that tone. We’ve got to fight. We’ve got to fight. We’ve got to fight. You’ve got to vote. We’ve got to save this country. And if you stay home, you can’t listen to people who say, oh, it’s all probably, oh, Trump took that district by 30. We’re all right there. Oh, it’s okay. People in Wisconsin are tired of the lunacy, even in Wisconsin. No, you’ve got to show up. You’ve got to take an hour out of your life and do your constitutional duty. Here’s a report. From WKMG, this is News 6 in Orlando. And I want you to hear this report and realize that you cannot take Florida District 6 for granted. You cannot take District 1 for granted. You’ve got to fight for Wisconsin and the Supreme Court. You’ve got to show up. The heavy lifting is now. And the answer is at our fingertips if we will only exercise force. The right to vote.
SPEAKER 10 :
This local race is also in the national spotlight because Randy Fine is endorsed by President Trump. I spoke with both candidates who both believe they’ll win.
SPEAKER 04 :
Josh Wheel and his liberal Washington backers want open borders and higher taxes.
SPEAKER 10 :
Have you seen this political ad for U.S. House candidate Republican Randy Fine? How about this one for his challenger, Democrat Josh Wheal? The special election race for U.S. House seat in District 6 is heating up. It was left vacant by Mike Walz, who is now President Trump’s national security advisor. It’s a large, heavy Republican stronghold that covers parts of Volusia, Flagler, St. John’s, Merriam-Putnam, and Lake Counties. President Trump won here by 30 points, and he’s endorsed Randy Fine.
SPEAKER 03 :
I’ve been honored to see him several times already since he became president. He gave me a challenge coin. It’s actually not fair to call it a challenge coin because it’s the size of like a dessert plate. But to honor me for the big win that we had in our primary with 83 percent. And I appreciate his support as I get ready for my election on April 1st.
SPEAKER 10 :
But challenger Josh Wheel thinks fine having President Trump’s endorsement will actually work against him.
SPEAKER 19 :
When we flip this seat and we take it back and the only thing my opponent ran on was Donald Trump’s endorsement, every single Republican legislator in this country is going to have to start being accountable to their constituents and representing them with fidelity in Congress.
SPEAKER 10 :
We went out to Lake County to hear what voters think about fine.
SPEAKER 08 :
He’s a Republican and he’s Trump’s backing. That’s the main reason.
SPEAKER 09 :
He’s honest, he’s not corrupt, and he’ll do a good job. So you’re voting for Randy Fine? Absolutely.
SPEAKER 02 :
Republicans just seem to make the country do better. Like all the prices and everything, everything just seems to be better.
SPEAKER 01 :
And we’ll. He wants to protect Social Security, protect the environment, public school system. Randy Fine is way too conservative for my tastes.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s all I’m going to say. I know there are some people in this county that would disagree with this, but the Republican Party has failed, especially the senior citizens.
SPEAKER 10 :
The race is far from over. You can expect to see more TV ads up until Election Day on April 1st.
SPEAKER 06 :
Election Day has arrived. And with Florida, do not say, well, we’re safe. And Wisconsin, my gosh, I know you got a mountain to climb in Wisconsin, but we had a mountain to climb on November the 5th. We had a mountain to climb in November of 2016. You know, we can win this if you show up. If you stay home, we’re going to lose and the country loses. And the Democrats don’t quite get it. There’s an interesting dynamic at play here about voter turnout. I want to share with you what Senator Chris Coons from Delaware said about why the Democrats lost in November. This really intrigues me because I want to share with you an editorial in the New York Times suggesting that Chris Coons doesn’t get it. Democrats like him don’t understand it. And when you’ve lost the New York Times, that’s really saying something. Listen to Chris Coons on CNN.
SPEAKER 20 :
So I think the reason we lost principally had to do with millions of folks choosing not to vote. We lost to the couch more than we lost to Donald Trump. And if we focus on the issues that those folks care about and that we haven’t talked enough about or fought for them hard enough on, I think we win.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, I want to share with you what the New York Times editorial said over the weekend. It’s fascinating. Let’s dive in today. Special election on the table today. Wisconsin Supreme Court. Voter ID on the ballot in Wisconsin. Come on, Wisconsin. You got to come through for us. The country’s at stake. 800-655-MIKE. Happy April Fool’s Day. No pranks here. April 1st, 2025. We are in the Relief Factor studios for another day. Strapping on the armor and going to work. What do you think? 800-655-6453. You’ll want to hear this New York Times editorial. Very important stuff. What’s at stake here? We’ll share it with you coming up.
SPEAKER 16 :
The big media are out to stop President Trump at any cost. ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, they’re all the same. President Trump doesn’t trust the big media, even Fox News. Now, millions of Americans are turning to Newsmax. Nielsen reports almost 30 million Americans tuned into Newsmax last quarter. And President Trump is one. He watches Newsmax and says it’s terrific. So tune in tonight to watch Rob Finnerty’s series, The Big Media’s War on Trump. Every night, Rob Finnerty is exposing their big lies and gives you the straight talk you want. SPEAKER 08 :
Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s so funny. A friend of mine sent an article from the Wall Street Journal saying when you’ve lost the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal says it was a pleasant surprise to read a weekend editorial in the New York Times of all places suggesting the Democrats take a step back from the progressive ledge. The New York Times, according to the Wall Street Journal, is now urging Democrats to reconsider a number of the destructive ideas that party leaders embraced after reading about them in the New York Times. James Freeman of the Wall Street Journal says, let’s be optimistic and call this a great start if the newspaper wants to embark on an era of reform. I’m not sure I want them to reform. You know what I mean? Let them be crazy. Stay out there in crazyville. And you may never win another election. Let’s face it, the Wall Street Journal says it’s a pleasant surprise. I mean, let me quote for you. what the Wall Street Journal says, what James Freeman says. America is not well served when one of its two major political parties embraces both misery-inducing Sandinista socialism and the race and gender obsessions of the radical left. Sadly, by the end of last week, it seemed that the kooks were once again winning the day in the debate over the party’s future. But what a difference a day makes. Along comes the New York Times. And the headline in the Times is, the Democrats are in denial about 2024. Party leaders claim that most Americans still prefer Democrats, but that voter apathy allowed Trump to win. That’s the Chris Coons quote that you heard just now on CNN. According to his logic, Democrats don’t need to worry about winning back Trump voters and should instead try to animate the country’s natural liberal majority. Tim Walz said, I don’t think we’re going to win over those 77 million that voted for Trump. I’m concerned with the 90 million who stayed home. It was an unfortunate echo of Hillary saying that millions of Trump voters were deplorables and irredeemable. The journal says Tim Walz’s odd analysis reflects deep confusion about the millions who stayed home. The New York Times editorial board punctures that delusion, writing, Non-voters appear to have favored Mr. Trump by an even wider margin than voters. Nate Cohn, the Times chief political analyst, reported, And David Shore, the bracingly honest Democrat data scientist, put it well. We’re now at a point where the more people vote, the better Republicans do. The more people vote, the better the GOP does. The Times editorial board then gives Democrats some advice on how to regain voters’ trust. And most strikingly, says the New York Times, Democrats need to recognize that the party moved too far left on social issues after Obama left office in 2017. Even today, the party remains too focused on personal identity rather than shared values. Even on economics. The New York Times editorial suggests an open mind on ideas that don’t involve central planning. The people at the Times wrote, where is the governor who does more than talk about an abundance agenda and actually cuts regulations to help America build? New ideas should come from both the party’s progressives and its centrists. The Wall Street Journal concludes by saying, whoever the weekend editors are at the Times opinion section, let’s hope they get a promotion. Now, again, I’m back to, I don’t know if I want this to happen. If the Democrats figure this out and become more reasonable and moderate, and see, my fear is they will do so in order to try to win elections, and then once they get in power, they’re going to go back to their same old tricks. I mean, let’s face it. You trust Republicans. Today’s Democrat? There aren’t a lot of reasonable moderate Democrats left. John Fetterman is one of them. He just recently canceled his town hall meeting. He didn’t want to have a town hall meeting. The Democrats in Pennsylvania are livid at his reasonableness, at his relative moderate stances. So I don’t think that there’s any coming back for them. Let me turn it over to you and see what you think. 800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453. And again, I’m going to remind you all day long. In fact, let me hear from Wisconsin and Florida voters. I want to hear from people in Florida District 6. I want to hear from people in District 1. I want to hear from Wisconsin members of our audience. Call me. Tell me. Are you voting today? Are you encouraging others to vote? Do you know how crucial these elections are today? It’s all on the line. Please do your part. Give me a call if you’re out voting or if you can give me a lay of the land. Be our reporter on the spot here. Be our Roger P. Shulman, our newsman, by calling in at 1-800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. Janet’s in Indianapolis. Hi, Janet. Welcome aboard.
SPEAKER 26 :
Hi, I just turned on your program, so I don’t know if anybody else has said this, but I can’t understand why people that went and fought and bled for us to have the right to vote can’t get off their couch and go vote and be a considerate. that loves their country and does something to fight for it. We have to fight to keep the good people in and get them in.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s the eternal mystery. I swear for the rest of my life, I’m going to wonder how people can bellyache and gripe and moan about the other party and the craziness, and they don’t vote. The turnout, I mean, Janet, even the turnout in 2024, I mean, in the general election, too many people stay home, and I don’t get it, Janet. Are people that lazy? Are people that detached? Do they not care?
SPEAKER 26 :
Well, we can’t take this country for granted. We’re so blessed to live here, but we have to fight to keep it the way it needs to be without the evil… Taking dominance. We have to get off our blessed assurance and go do our due duty.
SPEAKER 06 :
I love it. I love it. I love it. Janet, I’m going to hold you up as one of my favorite callers of the day. You cannot rest on blessed abundance. You’ve got to say, look, we’ve got to fight. The fight in many ways is just beginning. You think Donald Trump said November 5th we won and now it’s over? Now we just coast? You think he’s coasting? You think anybody on the Republican side are sitting around? Maybe some of them are. I about flipped when Mark Davis said that to me this morning. Well, I feel pretty good about Florida. We’re okay there. No! Can’t say that! It’s not over till it’s over. These are the Democrats, don’t you know? Don’t take that for granted. One open line, 800-655-MIKE. Spring is here, and my pillow is ready to meet the moment with the Spring Sheet Sale. Got to be careful with the way I say that. The Spring Sheet Sale. Say that three times fast. SPEAKER 08 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior. From the Relief Factor studios, here’s Mike Geller.
SPEAKER 06 :
I’m so blessed to have a lot of good people around me. I say that all the time. Every morning I visit with Mark Davis, who’s the morning host in Dallas, Fort Worth, on 660 AM The Answer. He’s a legendary… Veteran talk show host. And I said, gosh, we got big day today. We got Wisconsin. We got Florida. And Mark said, well, I’m feeling pretty good about Florida. It’s reliably red. And it kind of I had like a little delayed reaction. I should have screamed at him when he said it. Because that’s what we make. That’s the mistake we Republicans make. Well, we’re all right. We got this. Trump’s in the White House. We’ve got majority control in the Senate and the House. Do you know what’s at stake? And do you know how the Democrats are salivating at the chance to flip any of these seats? It’s going to be a massive upset. Oh, my gosh. Look at the Trump agenda has been thwarted. The only place… that we can prevail is at the ballot box. I was looking at some numbers this morning at how many activist judges are trying to stop the Trump agenda. You get some lone federal judge, some leftist Obama appointee like Boasberg, And they rule against and against and against. The numbers are staggering how many times now judges are attempting to block the America First agenda. So we have to stay in the majority in Washington. And it’s no secret. In fact, Christian, when we get ready, when we talk to Roger P. Shulman in the newsroom here in just a moment to get the latest on Florida and Wisconsin, let’s have the Hakeem Jeffries clip from yesterday pulled up and ready to go where he let the cat out of the bag and explained that if the liberal judge in Wisconsin wins, if she gets in, she’s going to redistrict and deliver more Democrat votes seats in the House of Representatives. If the Democrats, and look, the Republicans have a slim majority right now. If the Democrats take the majority in the House, wow, are we in for a mess. Because they’ll start impeaching Trump, and you think that some lone activist judge can stop his agenda? Wait till you see what the House of Representatives can do. If… Brad Schimel loses today in Wisconsin. What about the two races in Florida? Nobody knows Florida politics better than our veteran newsman, Roger P. Shulman, who joins us now from the newsroom. Roger, good to see you, and we know you’re all over it. Tell us about the Florida races and how things are looking.
SPEAKER 23 :
I’m going to tell you a little story first about a Florida race a few years ago. We had a guy named Mark Ober. He’d been the state attorney in the Tampa area for years, usually ran unopposed. He was Republican. Everybody loved him. Prosecutors and defense attorneys thought he was fair. He was harsh on crime. The law enforcement loved him. And then George Soros came in, had this good looking guy named Andrew Warren. bought a bunch of TV ads, I mean, a massive amount, just poured money into this place and raised all kinds of false questions about Ober and Warren won. And it was because the Republicans said, oh, we don’t need to vote for Ober. He’s been here for a thousand years. There’s no chance he’s going to be removed. Well, he lost because… The Republicans were complacent and let this happen. And this is what this is.
SPEAKER 06 :
It is dangerous. When Mark said that this morning, I about flipped and I later I thought about it. I thought, no, no, no. We can’t say, well, I feel pretty good about Florida. I mean, what’s Florida looking like right now? We’re talking about the two seats that were vacated by Mike Waltz and Matt Gaetz, right?
SPEAKER 23 :
Yes, yes. Democrat Josh Weil is taking on Republican Randy Fine in a special election in District 6. That runs from Ocala to north of Daytona Beach. And the seat is vacant as Michael Waltz was chosen by the president to be his national security advisor. While the Democrat got $10 million in donations, Fine only has $1 million in his war chest. That shows that a lot of outside people are… are donating money, and he has a good war chest. In District 1 in the Panhandle, Trump-backed former Florida Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Petronas hopes to be the Republican victor in the congressional seat formerly held by Representative Matt Gaetz. Now, Democrat Gaye Villamont is running against Petronas and says she can beat him, and a lot of money for her. Huge amounts of money has come in from states like New York and California. And Massachusetts for her. So they’re got they’ve got a pretty good war chest. And it’s you know, anything can happen if the voters don’t get out. And speaking of Wisconsin, which we were a moment ago, weather in Madison, 37 degrees, Milwaukee, 34, 36 in Eau Claire in the northern part of the state. So it’s not horrible. It’s just a great typical weather. Wisconsin Day. So there’s no excuse for people not to get out. It’s not raining. It’s not snowing. It’s not hideous. It’s just an ugly old winter day in Wisconsin. That’s why everybody comes here. But if people are complacent, this could happen. We could lose. We’ve got, what, 218 Republicans in the House. Democrats have 215. That is too close a margin. If anything happens at all, we could be in big trouble in the House of Representatives and the Trump agenda could be going down the toilet, to put it rather crudely.
SPEAKER 06 :
Or mildly. I mean, Roger, don’t you love how the Democrats complain about Elon Musk’s money influence in elections? And you’ve got outside, you’ve got activists that are pumping in hundreds of millions of dollars into these races all over America. You know, they always project. They always do what they accuse us of doing.
SPEAKER 23 :
Of course, that’s part of the, what is it, the Pliven, that campaign. book of how to win elections that they came up with years ago that the Clintons use. They’ve all used this playbook to win. Accuse the Republicans of doing the same thing they’re doing. Accuse them of having billionaires when they’ve got Soros pouring huge amounts of money to defeat Republicans all over the country. It’s just the same old thing, and we fall for it every time. That’s what’s so sad.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, let’s hope we don’t fall for it today. We’ve got to pray. We’ve got to be confident. We’ve got to be optimistic. But we’ve got to vote. Wisconsin, Florida, you’ve got to vote. Get out and vote, vote, vote. Roger P. Shulman, thank you, sir. We appreciate you checking in from our newsroom. Great to see you. Okay, more coming up, including a report from Fox News that the Tesla attacks are continuing. Now, I don’t see a lot of that anecdotally or even in the media a lot, except I see that report and I wonder if you saw the guy who got caught red-handed and what he said. This is astounding. And it turns out his identity was revealed. He’s a business owner. Has his own company. Doylestown, Pennsylvania. I would love to talk to this guy. And I don’t know why I’m obsessed with this. I really am working hard at trying and thinking about what it feels like to hear from the other side and let them hear from us. Have dialogue. Maybe it’s because of some of the personal interactions I’ve had with friends and family who don’t agree with me politically. But If we’re ever going to survive as a country, we’ve got to have some kind of a meeting of the minds. There’s got to be some area of common ground. So I want to break this down. This guy caught red-handed scrolling a swastika on the side of a Tesla and something that Fox News is reporting is continuing to happen. And I want to see what you think about his reaction. We’ve got a lot to break down this hour. Welcome in. It’s a Wednesday episode. April Fool’s Day 2025. 2025, no fooling around, especially in Wisconsin and Florida. Join us. 800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453.

SPEAKER 08 :
The Mike Gallagher Show.
SPEAKER 22 :
These tariff schedules in Canada, Mexico, and now 13 other countries. We’ve got a list of 15 coming out next week, 15 countries. What Trump is trying to do is examine all of these, and some of them were put in place right after the Second World War. So there’s a lot of imbalance. I think this is one giant negotiation, Trey, and we’re starting April 2nd.
SPEAKER 08 :
In the ReliefFactor.com studios, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 06 :
It is going to be a big day tomorrow, April 2nd, and that’s where there will be certainty. There will be a conclusion. We’ll see what Trump is going to do. The Wall Street Journal theorizes that he’s been sort of negotiating with the promise of massive tariffs. Nations are wondering what he’s going to do. Other countries are. My financial guy yesterday said, because I’m panicking about a real estate deal, and he said, look, just sit tight. We’ve got to get through tomorrow, and then people will be, once there’s certainty, then people will be more willing to free up their own economy as well as the nation. Incidentally, a thank you to Purser. At Purser Trust, that’s a follower of mine on X, and she wrote, let’s rally together to help At Gallagher Show reach 75,000 followers. He’s been at a standstill of 73,000 for the last month. Achieving this milestone will not only lift a superstition, but also bring victory to Wisconsin. Purser, now you’re going to get me in trouble. I’m kind of playing around with my superstitions here. Plus, he’ll follow back everyone he can. Let’s make it happen. Following. Thank you, Purser. Look at that. It’s pretty quick. That didn’t take long. Got a few hundred. We’re up to, let’s see, 74,000 and I think 300. So maybe we’ll get over 75,000. Maybe we can celebrate in Alaska with the big summer vacation we’ve got planned for you in August. The Patriots Alaska cruise. The second annual. Larry Elder and I will be your hosts. We’ll be on a luxury cruise ship surrounded by breathtaking glaciers and majestic mountains and fjords. We’ll be watching bald eagles and whale watching and sightseeing. Joe Piscopo, Jennifer Horn going to join us on the ship. August 16th through the 23rd, The Last Frontier. And then on board, not only will you enjoy beautiful restaurants and there’s a spa and there’s a casino. It’s a great ship. It’s the Eurodam. I love this ship from Holland, America. But we’re also going to just gather every night on the world stage. We’ll have town hall events. It’s a great vacation, great way to spend a summer vacation. Text the keyword TRAVEL to 94878 to book your state room. The state rooms are going fast. Cabins are flying off the shelves. We’ve got hundreds of you joining us. Space is limited, so don’t delay. Way more than just a cruise. You’ll have the adventure of your life. Text TRAVEL to 94878. That’s TRAVEL to 94878. And some people have asked for a phone number. If you want to call Inspiration Tours, directly talk to a live person, here’s the number. 855-565-5519. 855-565-5519. Come join us this August for the second annual Patriots Alaska Cruise. You’re going to have the time of your life. Here’s Ben Shapiro talking about this trip. trend we’re seeing all over the world, the weaponization of the courts. We witnessed it in America. I believe it backfired in a spectacular way. I’m going to believe, look, I have two deeply held beliefs. Trump lost 2020 because of COVID. Trump won 2024 because of the way they weaponized the court system. They did everything they could to try to prevent him from running by locking him up. by trying to incarcerate him, and the American people said, nope, that’s a bridge too far. Well, listen to Ben Shapiro’s analysis of what’s happening all over the world.
SPEAKER 21 :
You know, when President Trump said a long time ago that the deep state was actively intervening in American politics in order to thwart a particular agenda, it turns out that he was right about that, but he was also right globally. It turns out that there is, in fact, an elitist deep state everywhere, from the European Union to Brazil to Israel to… Romania that is interested in overturning even the possibility of the will of the people in order to stop the bad guys from possibly winning. And the bad guys range again from Bibi Netanyahu in Israel, who again has been targeted by the legal establishment, to Bolsonaro in Brazil. Remember that in Brazil, Lula da Silva was actually in jail and he was freed by the judiciary so he could run again. And then they moved to jail, Bolsonaro. You’re seeing the same thing happen now with Marine Le Pen. who is set to win this current election in France, the party that she leads, was set to actually win the next election. And I think the giveaway is this. The jail sentence that you mentioned before, that is a suspended jail sentence. They’re suspending that until the appeals can go through. You know it’s not suspended or banned from running, which demonstrates exactly what they were after.
SPEAKER 06 :
They’re open about it. They don’t hide it. And I suspect that in Europe, they’re even less willing to try to disguise what their true motivation is than what happened here in America. They’re suspending her right to run, but she can’t run, but they’re withholding the prison sentence until she gets to appeal. Can she appeal being banned from running for office? She’s the favorite. You understand in the polls? She’s expected to be elected president. And every time they introduce her, and I admit, I don’t know French politics. I don’t want to be under a French form of government. I don’t like socialism. I don’t want the European style of governance in America. All I know is it’s suspicious to me that every single time she’s identified, it’s like her name is Far-Right Marine Le Pen. Far-Right, Far-Right, Far-Right. And they never identify any whack job progressive as far left. You never hear it. It’s always the same. And I just continue to wonder if the Democrats are going to get their act together. A lot of it boils down to Wisconsin. Just don’t kid yourself. There’s the country… The future is on the line. If you don’t want to mess on your head, if you don’t want to wake up every day to watching Hakeem Jeffries try to lead an impeachment of Donald Trump because of a phone call he made, then you’ve got to vote for Brad Schimel in Wisconsin. And look… Hakeem Jeffries himself let the cat out of the bag in an interview he gave not long ago. Listen to what he said about what the real plan is to get the activist liberal judge in Wisconsin elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
SPEAKER 24 :
In Wisconsin, that’s a 50-50 race because we know Wisconsin’s a 50-50 state. Yeah. And we have a strong Democratic candidate. Whoever wins is going to determine who has the majority in the Wisconsin Supreme Court. Why is that important? Because there are gerrymandered congressional lines right now in Wisconsin. Wisconsin’s a 50-50 state, as I mentioned, but there are six Republicans in And only 2 Democrats out of an 8 person delegation, because the lines are broken. Right. And. As soon as possible, we need to be able to revisit that and have fair lines. The only way for that to be. Even a significant possibility. As if you have an enlightened Supreme Court.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, you got to get an enlightened Supreme Court. A little bit like the Chuck Schumer rule. You vote our way or the highway. You’ll be enlightened if you’re one of us. But if you’re not, well, you’ll reap the whirlwind. You won’t know what hit you. If you like your car, you might get it scratched up by an Elon Musk-hating progressive. I wish I could let that thing go. I want to interview the 55-year-old business owner from Doylestown, Pennsylvania, caught red-handed, scrawling a swastika. It’s a grown-ass man. Pardon my language. A grown adult carving things into a car because you’re mad at Elon Musk. These people need to grow up big time.
SPEAKER 14 :
Sound.
SPEAKER 08 :
Mike Gallagher. Every day, Mike visits with Mark Davis, morning host on 660 AM, The Answer in Dallas. Here’s today’s Eminem experience.
SPEAKER 07 :
Written by Paul McCartney when it’s on Sergeant Pepper. But McCartney wrote this when he was like 14, thinking about being really, really old at 64. Now with Mike, who is 64, reflections on that. And I offer this really just as an affectionate nudge. 64 ain’t nothing. You’ll be 64 for another six days before you hit the big 6’5″. You know who’s laughing at you? Trump. Everyone who’s not laughing at me? Biden. I’ll match you. 82-year-old for 82-year-old. You know who is? Harrison Ford. Doing the most energetic, incredible work of his life. He’s old enough to be your dad. Riding horses, playing pickleball, who knows what. So I’ll hear you.
SPEAKER 06 :
probably wearing diapers on the set.
SPEAKER 07 :
I don’t think, I bet not. I’ll hear nothing of you young whippersnappers at 65.
SPEAKER 06 :
Can we put a moratorium on this talk? I want to skip it. I talked to my boss this morning. We were talking about how 65 just all of a sudden, it’s like, how did this get here? And Phil said, Phil and Diana, his wonderful wife, they were just talking about this the other day. Isn’t it crazy, the older you get, how much faster time passes by? Yes. Think about it, Mark. We’re in April. It’s April 1st. It feels like yesterday it was the election.
SPEAKER 07 :
That is correct.
SPEAKER 06 :
I mean, blink of an eye, but it didn’t used to feel this way.
SPEAKER 07 :
You know, this is weird. It may be math when because I’m 67 and here we are in our mid 60s. Every year is a smaller percentage of the life we have led. When you’re 10, another year is like another 10% of what you’ve lived. When you’re 60-something, another year is but a tiny sliver. So once you’ve got all that behind you, everything that’s before you, seems to be a smaller fraction. That may be a clumsy explanation.
SPEAKER 06 :
I choose to ignore next week. I’ll be off. I’m going to just try to disconnect. I’m going to go enjoy and pretend I’m 49. We’ll be thinking about you. Hey, big day today, a huge day in Wisconsin, a huge day in Florida. The stakes are so high. Wisconsin voters are heading to the polls. Look, the truth is, if we lose the Wisconsin Supreme Court, Wisconsin is going to redistrict immediately. They made it clear. Hakeem Jeffries admitted it. And Akeem Jeffries said, you know, here’s the key. We’ve got to get this progressive, Susan Crawford, this former Obama official, and we’ve got to get her elected. And then they’re going to gerrymander, they’re going to redistrict, and we’re going to lose a couple of seats in the House of Representatives. Same is true for Wisconsin. I mean, for Florida. We’ve got that Central Florida, that District 6, that race is so tight.
SPEAKER 07 :
That’s the Mike Waltz vacancy, and the other one is the Matt Gaetz vacancy. But you know what? I’m confident of Republican victories in both of those.
SPEAKER 06 :
Don’t say that. Don’t say it. I am. I am. Don’t say it. Don’t say it. I mean, that’s the problem. I mean, you know, I think we sort of go the conventional route, and Trump’s not at the top of the ticket right now to take people over.
SPEAKER 01 :
I understand.
SPEAKER 06 :
And it’s a whole different ballgame. And people, these people on the left are loud. They’re aggressive. They’re rattling cages. And it’s the Democrats.
SPEAKER 07 :
And they got money. They have poured, especially into that first district race where the Matt Gaetz vacancy. A Democrat has outspent the Republican there like three to one. Right.
SPEAKER 06 :
I was talking to a family friend yesterday. They have a loved one in their family who’s mad at everybody who’s a Trump supporter, and it’s causing a rift in the family. It’s causing a rift with friendships. And the person I talked to is not really a Trump fan per se, doesn’t really like his personality. However, he knows that the alternative was unthinkable. And he said, this is policy, policy, policy. And he said something that captures the Trump era. It’s all common sense stuff. None of this stuff is radical. None of this stuff is crazy extremism. It’s common sense. When you think about looking through the lens of commonsense-dom on everything Trump’s doing, it’s so true. I mean, it’s not, look, we’re doing Social Security the way we did it in the 1950s. We’re sending checks to dead people. And Trump wants to make the Social Security Administration function like an Apple store. efficient you know online if you’ve got a grandma or grandpa that doesn’t know how to get online well then guide them lovingly and show them how to do it instead of sending checks to 137 year old dead people I mean it’s just common sense and I mean look at Pete Hegseth yesterday they’re all mad at him now because he wants to have combat standards be the same for men and women look if you’re a woman and you want to serve in combat knock yourself out you just got to meet the same rigorous standards as a man isn’t that common sense of course it is i mean we go down the list of everything on and on and on so today’s a huge day tomorrow’s a big day uh the tariffs and i we haven’t spent enough time on this mark i was talking to a financial guy yesterday and he said look Because I’ve got some real estate stuff going on right now, and I’m a little nervous about it, and it’s not moving like I thought. And Florida real estate’s a little unusual. And he said, look, let’s get through Wednesday because there’s a lot of uncertainty because of this whole tariffs thing that’s sort of looming over our heads. The Wall Street Journal is… is wagering that Trump is just doing some gamemanship, that this is the art of the deal. The Trump tariffs aren’t going to be quite as promised because it’s part of his negotiation. But whatever happens tomorrow, there will then be a conclusion and the markets will settle in and then things will start happening. Real estate is going to start bouncing back. People will feel a little more confident about spending their money and making purchases. So really, Mark, this is a huge, huge week. Today and tomorrow, two big days. And it’s long-term.
SPEAKER 07 :
And everything you described, and the markets, I think, even this week, the markets may convulse in there. You know, your 401K may take a little bit of a hit in the coming days. That’s because if there’s anything the markets don’t like to make them nervous, it’s unpredictability, real change. The markets, our country, our society has been so used forever, so used to socializing. slow, glacier pace. Nothing ever really happens. Now along comes Trump with his fire hose of developments and Musk with his fast-paced way of doing things. It’s exactly what we need. Long term, it’s going to work out just fine. Have some faith. It’s going to create American jobs. It’s going to reinvigorate American manufacturing. And these are for good reasons. But it’s so rare to have anybody in politics say, look, Rather than just curry favor right now, today, in this news cycle, I’m going to do something that might look a little weird and a little squirrely, might make you a little nervous right now. But trust me, long term, it’s going to be good. And I have that trust. It is going to be good.
SPEAKER 06 :
Caroline Leavitt yesterday outside the White House did a beautiful job of detailing why Trump wants these trade practices to even out. The trade practices that we’re currently under are hurting American businesses. 50% tariff from the EU on American dairy. 700% tariff from Japan on rice. 100% tariff from India on agricultural products. And Trump’s position is it’s impossible for American products to be imported into these markets. It’s time for reciprocity. And that’s all it is. You talk to these smart people, you hear from the Larry Kudlows and all these people who know this, the Canadian guy, what’s his name, Kevin O’Leary. These are smart people, a lot of common sense, a lot of wisdom. Speaking of a lack of common sense, though, tell me you saw the clip of the guy caught. carving a swastika onto a guy’s Tesla.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yes, I did.
SPEAKER 06 :
Can we play it? Can we all share it together? Do you mind?
SPEAKER 07 :
Sure, got a minute?
SPEAKER 06 :
I do. I think Christian’s got it. It’s delicious because this is a grown-ass man. Pardon my French. This is an adult. You talk about 65, 75. This guy looks like he’s 45, 50. This is not a kid. So this dummy is defacing a guy’s car and because he owns a Tesla, and heaven forbid you have a Tesla because then you’re a Nazi. Now, check this out. He gets caught. Listen to how the guy acts after he got caught carving a swastika or painting a swastika onto the side of the guy’s Tesla. This is rich.
SPEAKER 12 :
Free service.
SPEAKER 11 :
How about you pay for the repairs? Write a check. You just bought a Tesla.
SPEAKER 12 :
I can wipe it off with a towel.
SPEAKER 11 :
No, no. It’s not a key. It is a hate crime, sir. It was a crayon. It is a hate crime. Did you write a swastika on there?
SPEAKER 12 :
I’m sorry you’re upset.
SPEAKER 11 :
Did you write a swastika?
SPEAKER 12 :
It didn’t even work. Apparently it doesn’t work.
SPEAKER 11 :
Did you write a swastika on the… It’s a key, sir. We see it on the video.
SPEAKER 12 :
It’s not a key.
SPEAKER 11 :
Is it a swastika?
SPEAKER 12 :
I was probably putting my keys in my pocket. Is it a swastika? Have you looked at your car?
SPEAKER 11 :
Is there a key mark? Is it a swastika? That’s impossible. It’s at the police right now. It’s being fingerprinted.
SPEAKER 12 :
What do you mean it’s being fingerprinted?
SPEAKER 11 :
Because they were trying to track you down. Thankfully, Facebook tracked you down. So your business, your freaking livelihood, everything now. Because you chose to tell Facebook that you’re sorry for writing a swastika on a Tesla.
SPEAKER 12 :
I said, I’m sorry.
SPEAKER 11 :
For what? And I apologize. For what?
SPEAKER 12 :
I have nothing against your car, and I have nothing against you.
SPEAKER 11 :
So why would you write a swastika on a Tesla?
SPEAKER 12 :
Obviously, I have something against Elon Musk, but that’s not the way to show my… So Elon Musk owns that car?
SPEAKER 11 :
No, he owns the company. It was bought and paid for a long time ago.
SPEAKER 12 :
That’s why it’s misguided, and obviously, I did not intend to do this.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well… His hand slipped. He didn’t intend to do it. Now, Mark, people know the guy in the community. I’m sure he’s got a job. He’s got a family. Mark, let me put you on the spot. You work with people all day long. You’ve spent decades working with good people. That guy worked for you. Yeah. How would that affect your relationship with him? I mean, what an imbecile.
SPEAKER 07 :
Now that he is famous in the community and instantly recognizable as a political bigot idiot. It depends on what he does for me and what the nature of my business is. Because I’m a big believer in redemption. It sounds like the shock of being discovered and caught brought him around to some clarity. I shouldn’t have been doing it in exactly this fashion.
SPEAKER 06 :
I have nothing against your car. Oh, nice.
SPEAKER 07 :
I know. He’s a complete moron. If he can continue to do the job, if the strong letter in the file and a scolding from me don’t do that anymore, go forth and sin no more. I’m a big believer in second chances. Here’s the asterisk. However, if he is visible, if he’s like out in the community as a sales guy and he’s going to go out and try to sell widgets for my, you know, Mark Davis widget company is like, hey, you’re the big dummy to put the swastika on the Tesla. He’s gone.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, I mean, well, you have to wonder how would he treat somebody that he comes in contact with whose political views don’t align with his.
SPEAKER 07 :
And there’s a big difference between people who are sorry and people who are sorry they got caught.
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, come on. He was sorry he got caught. But here’s the thing. This perfectly encapsulates their side right now. They are flailing. They don’t know what to do. They think maybe if I carve up a swastika on a car, that’ll make me feel better.
SPEAKER 07 :
And see these clowns… clubbing the living daylights out of toy Teslas on a curb. Oh, my gosh.
SPEAKER 06 :
That big fat guy on a scooter crashing his scooter into a Tesla. I mean, like a nutcase. Lucky he didn’t break his neck. I mean, well, that’s what they get. But this is what we’re up against, Mark. And let’s face it. I like our chances.
SPEAKER 07 :
I like our chances. And I like our chances in Florida. I’m going to say it. I’m going to say it again. That doesn’t mean you should rest on your laurels in Florida. Get out and vote. Get out and vote. Do it. Do it. Do it.
SPEAKER 06 :
You can’t sit on the sidelines. Do not listen to Mark Davis. Ignore Mark Davis. Ignore his comfortableness. You’re behind by 10. You’re behind by 10. Well, what about Wisconsin? Hey, Swami, what do you think is going to happen there?
SPEAKER 07 :
I have no idea about Wisconsin. My fingers are crossed so tight my hands are purple.
SPEAKER 06 :
The extreme is progressive is up like five or six points in the polls. So come on, Wisconsin. Let’s go. You got to do your part. You got to work. You got to get off the sidelines. All right. Let’s happy. Any April Fool’s Day tricks planned? None whatsoever. I’m anti-prank. I mean, too. I don’t know. I like a good prank, but I’m a little leery about today, especially especially in the time we’re living in. I mean, a good prank may put me over the end.
SPEAKER 07 :
Is this bluster? He’s just not ready.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah. I got a call from the birth certificate place saying, no, you’re really only 59. I like that. Yes, I’ll take that prank.
SPEAKER 07 :
Now that’s a prank we can line up behind.
SPEAKER 06 :
I’m on board. All right, I love you. Take care.
SPEAKER 07 :
