SPEAKER 14 :
The Mike Gallagher Show.
SPEAKER 07 :
I have some good news for you. The USDA says wholesale egg prices dropped for the third straight week, and it’s a pretty big drop. The average wholesale price nationwide fell to $4.15 per dozen. So let’s put that in perspective. That is down about $2.70 in just one week. Prices were over $8 at the end of last month.
SPEAKER 14 :
In the ReliefFactor.com studios, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 12 :
I love the text I got from Pennsylvania. A normal quote-unquote Democrat is now a Republican. I mean, there have got to be a lot of people changing parties, don’t you think? Don’t you think normal Americans are saying, gosh, this is insane. What, you’re targeting Tesla owners now? Apparently there’s a website that hackers have hacked into Tesla, and they’re now trying to post allegedly the names, addresses, and phone numbers of Tesla owners, and telling Tesla owners, and the symbol on the website is a Molotov cocktail. And according to the website, according to the reporting, The people behind this website are willing to remove the names, addresses, and phone numbers of the Tesla owner as long as they turn in their Tesla. You understand, turning in your Tesla does nothing to Elon Musk. You’ve already paid for the car. What does that do, Mark Kelly, you smart, brave, tough guy? talking congressman from arizona what did you do you turned in your tesla for your tahoe and look he was at least kind of transparent he just said uh elon musk is an ass and i don’t i don’t want to drive a car designed by an ass okay you must have liked the car caused you to buy it in the first place the daily mail reports elon musk hating hackers have doxed tesla owners in the U.S., releasing an interactive map showing their names, addresses, phone numbers, and emails. The disturbing website provides the location of every Tesla showroom, charging station, and the known residences of Doge. It even lists FBI Director Kash Patel’s home address. And it uses a symbol of a Molotov cocktail as its cursor. Now, what, of course, they’re trying to do is intimidate people and frighten people and make them worry about even considering buying a Tesla. They’re bragging. Tim Walz, did you see Tim Walz bragging and taunting Musk? Tim Walz, the failed vice presidential running mate, listen to what he said about Tesla stock going down. Now, understand, this guy could have been a heartbeat away from the presidency. This dancing fool from Minnesota, the governor of Minnesota, who the other day said, I’ll kick the butts of any Trump supporter. I’ll kick their rear ends. Tim Walz. Look, one thing I know about myself, I know my limitations. I’m not going to go around challenging a bunch of people to a fight, but Tim Walz says he could physically beat us all up. That’s the governor of Minnesota. Minnesotans, you should be real proud to have this guy as your governor. But more chillingly, Tesla, of course, is a big American company. with thousands of Americans gainfully employed. Think about that when you hear what Tim Walz said about Tesla.
SPEAKER 13 :
Saying on my phone, I know some of you know this on the iPhone, they’ve got that little stock app. I added Tesla to it to give me a little boost during the day.
SPEAKER 06 :
$2.25 and dropping.
SPEAKER 13 :
So…
SPEAKER 12 :
I’m really reluctant usually to say somebody’s a bad person or I don’t know the heart. I don’t know these people’s hearts. I don’t. But that’s a bad person. That’s a bad person saying and doing bad. You’re rooting against an American company. Hey, you want an American company to fail? Aren’t there Tesla dealerships in Minnesota? Honest question. I mean, I’m getting so beat down by this. And then I come to work, and I can share some unbelievably good news with you. We’re more than halfway through our Food for the Poor campaign to feed starving children in places like El Salvador. You want to look at the total today? You can see it. You want to see the total? You can go to MikeOnline.com and click on the Food for the Poor banner. It says Feed Their Future. It’s a blue banner. We also have a big post. And you just click on the Food for the Poor link. We had a goal in March of raising $40,000. Now, that’s a fairly ambitious goal. I just saw a colleague of mine did a fundraiser for a charity. Local host, admittedly, but they were very proud. They raised $14,000 or $16,000 for charity, which is amazing. To get people to donate $16,000 to a charity when there’s so much uncertainty right now in the world. So along we come with our Food for the Poor campaign, this Christian ministry that feeds and houses starving, desperate, needy people all over the world. It’s a Christian ministry that I’ve worked with for years, many years. And we had a goal of $40,000. You want to go to mikeonline.com? You want to see it right now? Can I share? $90,373 is what you’ve donated so far. Can I let you in on a fun fact? That’s really $96,000. We have a $6,000 check. I’m telling you, this wonderful man who donated $6,000 to our Food for the Poor campaign. Joey Hudson has been in the middle of this, and this is like the Dead Sea Scrolls. I mean, this poor guy, they called Food for the Poor to get an address. A check is hard. The easiest and most efficient way to give of any amount is on the website because it counts it in real time. But we have wonderful people like this great guy who is donating from his family foundation. There are people that have family foundations and they direct funds to be sent. Long story short, the $6,000 is coming. We’re hoping it’s going to get wired today or tomorrow, but it’s there. We know with 100% certainty that the $6,000 will be in our total. So when you see $90,373 right now on our tally, if you go to the website, it’s really $96,000. You know what that means? We’re $4,000 away from hitting $100,000 in our March Food for the Poor campaign. That’s the kind of goodness that defeats the bad people out there in the world that are doing such bad things to Americans. That’s the kind of good that triumphs. over bad and evil. And look, a lot of this is evil. Let’s not pussyfoot around here. A lot of this is just evil stuff. You want to damage some hardworking American’s car because you don’t like Elon Musk? That’s evil. That’s domestic terrorism. You want to burn down a Tesla dealership? That’s domestic terrorism. And we’re not going to tolerate it. And I promise you, Donald Trump and Kash Patel And Pam Bondi, they’re not going to put up with this crap. I know they’re not. But you want to celebrate some goodness? Let’s do some good in the world. Please go to MikeOnline.com. It would be a joyful day if we can go over $94,000 today in our total. Right now it’s $90,373. And with this live thermometer, this counter in real time, you can see your donation being reflected in the count. A hundred dollars feeds a child for an entire year a school lunch in a place like El Salvador. El Salvador, the nation and the president who boldly took in the trendy Aragua terrorists. We owed El Salvador a debt of gratitude. President Trump has extended a big thank you to the president of El Salvador. Well, this is one way we can thank them. And again, it feels good to do God’s work. Whether it’s 50, 100, 1,000, whatever you can… kick in please go to mike online dot com and if we can hit ninety four thousand dollars That will really be $100,000. So add six to whatever total you see online. Please go to mikeonline.com, give whatever you can to our Food for the Poor campaign, and let’s take it over $100,000. Maybe we can do it today. We’ve already raised enough to feed over 1,000 boys and girls school lunches in El Salvador for the next 12 months. That’s a God thing. Please go to mikeonline.com, make the donation, and let’s get it to 94,000. What an incredible thing it would be if this week I can announce that we’ve raised over $100,000 in our Food for the Poor campaign. Thank you, thank you, thank you for your support, for your love, and for reminding the world that there’s a lot more good out there than evil. Here’s Donna holding patiently, Buck County, Pennsylvania. We got the phones fixed. Sorry for the delay, Donna. How are you today?
SPEAKER 04 :
All I’d like to say, Mike, well, first of all, I’d like to say, should I say that, is I’m glad that there are not government workers taking care of your phone lines and that you’ve got private sector people getting on this righty-quick and fixing the problem and that I’m not stuck on hold for nine months.
SPEAKER 12 :
I mean, Eric Hansen is the Elon Musk of the Mike Gallagher show. He went in and fixed it. In two minutes, we got it fixed.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes, yes, because I’ve been on hold. I spoke with you a little while ago. I wanted to say that if Donald Trump had left astronauts in space, the left would have been crying about the bone atrophy and the muscle atrophy. And how could he turn these people into jellyfish? Because these people that have come down are going to take two weeks to possibly months to reacclimate to Earth’s gravity.
SPEAKER 12 :
That’s right. Did you hear Mark Kelly’s brother actually say something? It would have been just safer just to keep them up there. They were never stranded. He’s pretending that there weren’t technical problems. He’s pretending that NASA wasn’t concerned about their safety if they tried to bring them back. He’s acting like everything is normal. These people, Donna, when they’re confronted with the grim reality that things are going well, they just make it up.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes, they know how to spin. They will just turn, pivot, spin in another direction and have their believers, you know, thinking something that’s not true.
SPEAKER 12 :
It’s insane. Donna, good to hear from you. Thank you. An open line now, 800-655-MIKE. Mike is in Scottsdale, Arizona. Hi, Mike. Welcome back. How are you?
SPEAKER 03 :
Hey, good. How are you? I’m good. I’ve been watching this stuff on TV about people burning the Teslas, and it is just making me sick. So I’m not going to look for it, but I have committed to if I see anybody messing with a Tesla or a Tesla dealership, they’re going to have a really bad day. And I think more people need to step up and try to protect Elon and his property. So that’s what I’ve committed to. As I said, I’m not going to look for it, but if I catch somebody messing with a Tesla –
SPEAKER 12 :
You know what these dummies don’t even realize? Tesla has cameras all around it. They have something called sentry mode. So all these idiots are being caught on camera. Not only in many cases are they being exposed on social media and on the Internet, but it’s going to be turned over to law enforcement. And if and when they’re apprehended… I think the Trump administration and Pam Bondi, I think they’re going to take this, elevate this to a domestic terrorism level. And these people could wind up in jail for a long time.
SPEAKER 03 :
They’re not even thinking about that, Mike. Because depending on the municipality, you know, if they’re in a Democrat run city, you know that they’re not going to do anything with that video. They’re just going to just, okay, whatever, you know.
SPEAKER 12 :
Law enforcement, even in blue cities, law enforcement is law enforcement. And I have confidence that people are saying enough is enough. And I kind of like the way things are going. Look, I believe in trying to kind of amp down the temperature. I believe in trying to reach across the aisle a little bit here. But it’s getting to a point where the only way this is going to happen is if normal people abandon… The broken Democrat. They’re broken. You see Chuck Schumer on The View yesterday. Do you want to hear what Chuck Schumer said about you and me? Hardworking Americans who don’t want to have the government with its boot on our neck when it comes to taxes. You’re not going to believe this. You know, Chuck Schumer is supposed to be kind of a savvy, sophisticated, you know, lifelong businessman. politician. Wait till you hear the blunder he made yesterday on ABC’s The View. I’ll share that with you and a whole lot more coming up. Don’t forget the Patriots Alaska cruise. Yours truly and Larry Elder. We’re going to host a group of hundreds of Patriots in Alaska, August 16th through the 23rd. Last year, we had the best time. Seb Gorka and I got to host a bunch of you. We’re doing it again. Be the best summer vacation you ever took. Nothing like a cruise to Alaska. And we’ll be doing a bunch of onboard events that you’re going to love. Travelwithsalem.com for details on the Patriots Alaska summer cruise in August aboard the Holland America’s Eurodam, a beautiful cruise ship. Travelwithsalem.com for details. I just got the daily report for our Food for the Poor campaign. Look, if the new kid on the block, Chris DeGaulle, beats us in the campaign, I’m in big trouble. I’m giving up. You can’t let that happen. If you like what we do, because we’re all doing this together, this Food for the Poor campaign, I’m going to give you the phone number that I didn’t give you a moment ago. I just need 400 people to pop in 100 bucks. Let’s get 100 people today to donate $100. Food for the Poor. This is what we do. We do this a few times a year. And here’s the phone number that I left out before. If you want to make a phone call, have your credit card standing by and call Food for the Poor. 844-860-HOPE. That’s 844-860-4673. And thank you, thank you, thank you for supporting our Food for the Poor campaign. Come on, let’s get there. Come on, 400 people. Wouldn’t it be amazing? How astounding would it be if I could touch the hearts of 400 people, maybe even you, Ed, in Naples? Instead of being grumpy at me, feed starving children. Clothe the naked. Feed the hungry. Partner with the Christian ministry. All I need is 400 people to donate 100 bucks, and we’re there. We’ve got our goal. Maybe we could do it today. Go to MikeOnline.com. Click on the banner or call 844-860-HOPE. Call 844-860-4673. However you reach out, I do hope you’ll join me as folks just like you all over America step up to help our friends at the Christian nonprofit international relief organization, Food for the Poor. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
SPEAKER 14 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior. From the Relief Factor studios, here’s Mike Deller.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yesterday was kind of a wild day. The astronauts, the stranded astronauts were returned thanks to President Trump and Elon Musk, and the left can’t really bear it. They can’t cope with it. The threats are intensifying against Elon Musk and Tesla. The domestic terrorism… is continuing, although Kash Patel and Pam Bondi and Dan Bongino and President Trump themselves seem to warn the domestic terrorists, you’re going to go to jail for a long time. Pam Bondi made it very clear that there are going to be severe, severe consequences for people who are trying to intimidate and harass and hurt people who they think don’t see the world the way they do. How about all the Tesla owners like AOC who bought Teslas back when they liked Elon Musk? You think everybody that’s driving a Tesla is making a political statement? There is so much good going on, though, and we can’t forget that. We can’t lose perspective. It’s a lesson I teach my kids. You can’t lose perspective. Don’t let the crazies hijack the real narrative. I want to start right now. And bear with me. I’m going to take just one minute to tell you about an example of goodness. Do you know that we’re almost at $100,000 of our March Food for the Poor campaign? I’m going to just say this quickly. If you go to MikeOnline.com and see the Food for the Poor banner, you click on that, there’s a counter. Right now it says $91,649 raised of our $40,000 goal. Add $6,000 to what you see online. There’s a $6,000 check from a family foundation. that is currently being processed. It’s going to be in there in the next few days. But we know with 100% certainty it’s there. So add $6,000 to the counter. Right now it says $91,649. That means it’s really $97,640. Do you know we’re almost at $100,000 of our goal? This is you donating to a Christian ministry that feeds starving children in parts of the world that you may never go to. Kids that you’ll never meet. Starving, beautiful little children in places like El Salvador. And thanks to this Christian ministry, Food for the Poor, and your support, you’re going to feed thousands of kids. We are almost, I’m just going to be over the moon. If we can get to $100,000 in our $40,000 campaign, that is an epic reminder of the generosity and the goodness and the beauty of the American people. Please take a moment and go to MikeOnline.com. If we hit $94,000 on the counter today, it’ll be $100,000. Again, add six to any total you see. So right now it’s $91,649. $100 feeds a starving child a meal every day for a year in a place like El Salvador. Thank you for your support of Food for the Poor. I get emotional when I think about my handyman, Dave. Dave’s an electrician by trade. He helps me with so many things around the house, and he and his wife, Rosie, are wonderful, Christian, loving people. And I don’t know that he’s independently wealthy. He’s a hardworking, God-fearing, tax-paying American. He has donated out of his own pocket thousands to Food for the Poor, and beyond just his friendship and his support of me and my campaigns, but because he knows it’s the right thing to do. And I just get emotional. I can’t ever forget how many good people I’m surrounded by. And that It certainly includes you. Please go to MikeOnline.com. Pop in whatever you can afford. If we get that counter today to $94,000, we will have hit $100,000 in our Food for the Poor campaign. And we’re not even through the month. The goal was $40,000. Thank you for all you do. Thank you for your generosity, your love, your support. And thank you for helping to feed the hungry. Thank you for doing what God does. commands us to do. Pay it forward. You want some goodness? It feels good to do good. So thank you. MikeOnline.com. Just go to MikeOnline.com and watch that counter. It’s fun to watch it. After you make your donation, you’ll see it pop up. It takes about two minutes to populate, but you’ll see your own donation being reflected. Remember, if we get to 94,000 today, we will actually be at a $100,000 total, which is a God thing for sure. I don’t know that Tim Walz is ungodly. I don’t want to call him evil. But it’s pretty mean-spirited to root against an American company. Hey, Minnesota, how many Tesla dealers do you have there? How many Tesla dealerships are in the state of Minnesota? Well, let me give you an example of a Democrat governor. cackling and gloating and rooting against an American company. Now, I’m wondering when they’re going to come out and denounce the rescue of the astronauts yesterday. Did you see the splashdown? Did you see the pod of the dolphins making it feel almost spiritual and godly? Did you see that? Why don’t they hate SpaceX, too? I’m sure they do, right? They’re taking it out on Tesla. There’s a website now doxing, supposedly, the names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of all the Tesla owners in America. And the website hackers who hacked the list, evidently, or allegedly, say if you sell your Tesla or you get rid of it, you trade it in like Mark Kelly, like Congressman Mark Kelly from Arizona did, we’ll take you off the list. This is domestic terrorism. Everybody knows it. Everybody understands it. And the country right now, I got a text from a guy who said, this is Doug in Peoria, Arizona. Mike, it’s so mind-numbing that the amount of people on social media who are trying to justify the threatening behavior of people destroying other people’s property. I find myself giving a thumbs up to Tesla drivers. I mean, a lot of people are giving a single-fingered salute to Tesla drivers right now. A lot of people are damaging Teslas, blowing up charging stations, firebombing cyber trucks, scrawling Elon is a Nazi on the side of Teslas. And what has Elon done? Oh, that’s right. He’s trying to eliminate fraud, waste, and corruption in the federal government. But you want to talk about a level of corruption? Can you imagine… Any governor in America cheering and rooting for the failure of an American company that undoubtedly employs a lot of Minnesotans. And I want to hear from Minnesota today. Do you guys not have any Tesla dealerships there? Anybody work for Tesla in Minnesota?
SPEAKER 13 :
Here’s your governor. Saying on my phone, I know some of you know this on the iPhone, they’ve got that little stock app. I added Tesla to it to give me a little boost during the day. 225 and dropping. And if you own one, if you own one, we’re not blaming you. You can take dental floss and pull the Tesla thing off, you know, and take out, just telling you.
SPEAKER 12 :
Oh, okay. Take off the Tesla logo? with dental floss, that’s Tim Walz. That’s an American governor. That’s a Democrat. That’s a Democrat in 2025. This is today’s Democrat party, a party of violence, a party of terrorism, and a party who’s one of the most prominent Democrats in America. The guy was running for vice president. He was on Kamala Harris’s ticket. who’s actually actively cheering for the downfall of an American company. Hey, Minnesota, I want to hear from you. Any Tesla dealerships there? You know your governor wants you to lose your job, right? You know your governor wants your company to fail because he doesn’t like the fact that Elon Musk supports President Trump. Wow. Wow. It’s Wednesday. We’re in the upstate of South Carolina. We’re in the studios of News Talk 98.9 WORD, the voice of the Carolinas. It’s so good to be home again, and this is, as you might know, my home away from home, but it’s really home in my heart. We had dinner last night over at that wonderful restaurant Select in Greer. Peg and Joey and I sharing some laughs and fellowship, and it’s so good to be home again. Good to be back. And even the TSA guy at the airport yesterday, Mike, welcome home. Feels feels great to be back and great to be with you as well. Also, all kinds of good news to share. But give me your reaction. to Tim Walz, the governor, the Democrat governor of Minnesota. To me, that’s the most shocking bit of news out of yesterday’s crazy news cycle. Let’s see what you think. 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. One call does it all. Text or call us. SPEAKER 14 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior. From the Relief Factor Studios, here’s Mike Geller.
SPEAKER 12 :
We’ve got to take a little break from all the tension, you know. I keep talking about trying to lower temperature, lower temperature. There’s a lot of crazy stories that are coming at us fast and furious. The story of Benjamin Hall is one that is so inspirational and so powerful. You’ve seen him, of course, for years. Benjamin Hall joined Fox News Channel in 2015. He’s a Fox News Channel senior correspondent, host of the podcast Searching for Heroes with Benjamin Hall. And I’m sure you know his story. In March of 2022, while reporting and covering the Ukraine war, he was severely injured in an attack that killed two of his beloved colleagues. He has had over 30 surgeries. He’s recovering. He authored the New York Times bestseller, Saved, a war reporter’s mission to make it home. And his new book is called Resolute, How We Humans Keep Finding Ways to Beat the Toughest Odds. And I love this theme. I love the ability to actually talk in person with Benjamin Hall about ways to beat the toughest odds. Benjamin, it’s a real honor to have you on the Mike Gallagher Show. Thank you for taking time out of your day to join us. How are you, sir?
SPEAKER 02 :
I’m doing really well, Mike. And look, thanks so much for having me. I appreciate it.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, of course, because look, we’ve got to balance our lives. I mean, some of us, we doom scroll on Twitter or social media and we’re tense and we’re worried. And look, you know it better than anybody around the world. There’s fire spots. There are places that are in turmoil and utter despair. And I want people to be able to turn away from the despair and talk about redemption and you know I know and I I’ve started reading your book how we keep finding ways to beat the toughest odds you’ve done it and I I wanna start with a personal question Was there a point in your recovery where you told yourself, look, rather than just being a war correspondent for a major television network, a news channel, I want to be a voice of redemption and a chance to fight against the odds and to inspire people? In other words, did you have that aha moment where you said, I can put my voice to use in this way?
SPEAKER 02 :
You know, it’s funny because I’ve been a journalist my whole career and I always wrote about other people. I talked about other people. And so it was strange. You’re absolutely right. At what point did I realize that maybe I could use my own story to perhaps help other people and talk about it? And it didn’t happen straight away. And I always felt a little bit strange doing it, you know, because I generally told other people’s stories. But I wrote my first book, Say. And I had such an incredible outpouring of letters from thousands of people, thousands of viewers who said, we read your story. We read how you got through it with an optimistic smile on your face. You never gave up. And that has helped us. And so I started to think, you know, if there’s one thing I can perhaps do with what’s happened to me, the tragedy of my partner’s colleagues being killed, maybe to try and help other people get through what I’ve gotten through. And I also was well aware that So many people came to help me when I needed it. Veterans were at the end of my bed when I was at the Brook Army Medical Center in Texas where I was recovering, and they came day after day, and they said, look, we’re on prosthetics, and we got through it. You can too. So what I now feel is if I can talk to other people who are going through a difficult moment, and that doesn’t have to be the injuries I’ve had and the prosthetics I’ve had. It could be anything. It could be family issues. It could be financial problems. that I still think you can use the same methods of getting through it. And I hope people can look at me and say, you know what? He got through it. Maybe I can get through it. So I suppose it’s my way of passing on what was given to me when I most needed it.
SPEAKER 12 :
I want to avoid the sort of trite questions that you’ve been asked a million times, even about the incident in March of 2022. I’m just fascinated by the strength and the resolve of people like you. I often think, I don’t know how I can do it. I don’t know how I could do it. We have a friend and a colleague. Dennis Prager, it’s been very public that he had a terrible fall, and now he’s paralyzed from the neck down. I visited him in the hospital weeks after his fall. He had a big smile on his face. In fact, you kind of remind me of him. You get through it. You just power through. You say, okay, this is what happened to me, and I’m going to persevere. I’m going to make it. Are there moments during your recovery, and I look at your story, 30 surgeries, Are there moments when you said, I can’t do this, I can’t pull this off?
SPEAKER 02 :
No, not a single one of them. There were moments when I was low. There were moments when I felt pretty broken. But I always had, and I think the point of the book, Resolute, is that I always knew that if I kept working, if I kept talking to people, that I would get through those difficult moments. And I think that at the core, the book is about being it’s about resilience and resilience is not about getting through the toughest scenarios with a smile on your face all the time and it being easy. Being resilient is knowing that no matter how difficult things are, if you keep working and keep fighting, you will get through the other side. And that’s something that I never stopped believing. And I speak to a number of other people in this book who have gone through incredibly difficult scenarios. veterans who have been injured. I spoke to an incredible girl who was taken by Hamas and held in the tunnels of Gaza. And, you know, among all the different people I’ve spoken to, they all managed to find the same sense of resilience. And it’s not always there at first. Sometimes you have to learn to find that resilience. And again, that’s what I’ve tried to write in the book is how you manage to find little moments of joy when things are really, really difficult, how you understand that community is more important than ever. And for me, It was family. You know, I have four daughters. I had three at the time. I’ve had another daughter since I was injured. And it was about getting back to them. And I talk sometimes about how during the attack itself, I saw my daughter. She saved my life. You know, when I was almost out cold, I had shrapnel in my eye. I was still in the car. And I saw my daughter, seven years old, right in front of me. I was blacked out. And she said to me, she said… Daddy, Daddy, you’ve got to get out of the car. You’ve got to get out of the car. And that’s what I did. And it brought me back. And I took one step out of the car and then the third shell hit the car itself. And so I was saved that day by my family. And then it was my family that I fought so hard to get back to. And I suppose it was thanks to them that I was always optimistic.
SPEAKER 12 :
We’re visiting with Fox News Channel senior correspondent Benjamin Hall. His new book is called Resolute, How We Humans Keep Finding Ways to Beat the Toughest Odds. I was going to ask you about the power of family, and you mentioned that you were driven to get back to your family, but your family… has to be there for you. And again, thinking about even Dennis’s situation and his loving wife and his kids who are there by his side, helping him through, encouraging him. Benjamin, family is absolutely everything, isn’t it?
SPEAKER 02 :
It really is. I mean, it’s both for what they can give to you and it’s what you have to give to them. It works in both ways. And what is quite interesting is that I thought the toughest part of my recovery was going to be in hospital. You know, I was in hospital in Texas for seven months. I was in the ICU in the burn unit for months. I couldn’t move. And I thought that when I finally got home that that would be the recovery and I would have been done. And I was totally wrong. It actually was more difficult when I got home because of suddenly you take the doctors away, the nurses away, the physios away. And that’s when the family had to come together. That is when we realized what I could no longer do at home. We realized how our lives would change. And that was really interesting to me because I hadn’t expected that. But that was when the family came together and we found ways through it. And I write about one moment in the book where Late at night at our house, middle of the night, 2 a.m., our house was broken into by two burglars. And our dog started barking. And my wife, Alicia, who was heavily pregnant at the time, jumped up. And I said, wait. And she said, I’ve got to go and scare them off. And my pregnant wife ran down the stairs and scared and screamed and scared off these two huge burglars while I was trying to put my legs on and strap on my prosthetics. And boy, first of all, was it a tough moment to realize that I protected the house. That’s what I always did. I protected the family. And on that occasion, I couldn’t do it. So not only was it a bit of a hit and a real learning curve that I couldn’t be there that moment and I had to come down a few minutes later. But then it also reminded me what an incredible thing family is. And my wife went down by herself. And boy, let me tell you, if my wife came around, you screaming, you’d probably run away, too. She’s a fierce, wonderful woman. But, you know, it was so interesting to see the family. My wife really had to come together when I got home because actually it was difficult at that point, perhaps more so than in hospital.
SPEAKER 12 :
I admire you so deeply, and I like the fact that you’re a living, breathing reminder that we’re all probably stronger and more resilient than we think we are. And the things that matter are detailed in your book, Resolute. I know it’s going to be a huge hit. And keep fighting the good fight. It’s a real, again, a joy for us and an honor to have you visit with us here on the Mike Gallagher Show. I know our audience appreciates you very much, as do I. We’re so glad you’re safe and well, and thank you, Benjamin, for your time today. All the best.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah, you keep finding the good fight, Mike.
SPEAKER 12 :
You’re an inspiration to us and to me as well. So I thank you so much. You’re so kind. Thanks. Benjamin Hall joining us from London where he’s recovering from 30 surgeries and a guy who, you know, has lived to tell a story that can inspire everybody. And, again, the book is called Resolute, How We Humans Keep Finding Ways to Beat the Toughest Odds. And it’s true. We do. And we’ve got a lot of odds. We’ve got a lot of tough times ahead of us. You know, there’s one almost sobering reminder that with all the craziness that we’re experiencing as a country right now and some of the violence that we’re witnessing and the hostility and the acrimony, we’ve got to rely on the kinder, gentler nature, the better angels, to try to get back some sanity. I walked into the studio today here in South Carolina knowing that if we could get over $94,000 on our total for our Food for the Poor campaign, we would actually be over $100,000. There’s a pesky, mischievous $6,000 check that has not yet been processed by a family foundation. It’s about to go in there any day now. So the real total of our Food for the Poor campaign for March is $6,000 less when you see it on the screen. You know where we are right now? 95,000 on the screen, which means it’s 101,000. And if you want to bless children, maybe in honor of Benjamin Hall and his spirit of resolve and his strong resolve, if you want to show that Americans are indeed good and kind and giving and loving, if you know that good can triumph over despair, and some of the bad things we’re witnessing right now as a country, please just take a moment and go to mikeonline.com and make a donation. You’ll see the counter. And again, right now, $94,793 raised, which means it’s really over $100,000. $6,000 will go into that from that great family foundation where a gentleman has donated $6,000. Thank you so very much for your support in our campaign. And it’s nice to be able to try to – we’ve got to remember – There’s a lot more good in the world than bad. Now, let’s get down to some of the breaking news and the headlines. The astronauts splashed down. All kinds of details being leaked about Tesla owners. The war on Elon and Tesla continues. But did you see Elon Musk last night with Sean Hannity on Fox News? Pretty remarkable interview. We’ll share a lot of that with you coming up on this Wednesday edition of the Mike Gallagher Show here in the Relief Factor studios in the upstate of beautiful South Carolina.
SPEAKER 05 :
Tease me all night long. I’d rather be a fool with a broken heart than someone who never had a heart.

I thought they were just, when I saw the clip early today when I was preparing the show and going through the day’s topics, I thought it was just somebody who repeated the same clip. It isn’t. She said the same words like four times. Same phrase. In fact, play the clip you have, Christian. And then she repeated this over the course of whatever this Zoom call was with her fans multiple times. This is what she said.
SPEAKER 08 :
Hey, everyone. I’m just popping on. And, you know, to be honest, I’m not even… sure why i’m popping on right now hey everybody hey everyone thanks for um joining i mean hey everyone i’m just popping on and you know to be honest i’m not even sure why i’m popping on right now hey everybody Hey, everyone. Thanks for joining. I mean… Hey, everyone. I’m just popping on. And, you know, to be honest, I’m not even.
SPEAKER 12 :
That’s the exact same thing repeated. So I think Christian misunderstood that. I’m sorry. I mean, it’s kind of goofy what she did say, but she didn’t repeat herself. Christian thought she was repeating herself and Tracy, too. Tracy said she was doing different takes. Those aren’t three different takes. Those are the three same clips. repeated over and over again so but still that’s the thing about the internet man you you can get you can get convinced that something you see the way it’s presented is real i’ve still got this goofy anti-obama is a muslim essay that was written over 10 years ago and falsely attributed to me it keeps coming up on the on some guy this week reposted it mike gallagher talk show host Eighth most listened to talk host in America wrote Obama’s, I didn’t write that. Like over a decade ago, somebody posted that on one of my social media pages, again, chapter number 3947, why I hate social media, and attributed it to me, said I wrote it. So here it is a decade later, some guy comes along, posts it, and after he posted it, I said, no, no, no, no, I didn’t write that. I can’t vouch for any of the facts made in that essay about Obama’s really a Muslim and he’s blah, blah, blah. I didn’t write that. A listener did, and then they attributed it to me, and I’m like, so now there’s a debate on X about if you follow my X account, you see some of the ways I’ve been tagged. Well, if it’s true, why doesn’t he take responsibility for it? I didn’t write it. It’s not written by me. And now they’re mad at the guy that posted it saying, why don’t you take the post down, which is kind of what I hoped he would do. When he finally saw that I was confirming that I didn’t write that anti-Obama essay, I would have thought he would have taken the post down. No, he kept it up. And he said, well, Mike Gallagher has confirmed he didn’t write it. Okay, well, take it down then. Or take out the part where it says Mike Gallagher wrote it. You’ve got to guard yourself on social media. There’s crap out there that is so nuts and so wildly out of control. But look, I guess in Christian and Tracy’s defense, if she had repeated herself three times, would that have surprised you? I mean, really. She sounds absolutely goofy. And we’re seeing goofy behavior. Look, here’s a… Scott Jennings last night on CNN talking about this Tesla terrorism, as Scott called it. Here’s cut number eight. Scott last night facing the Lions on CNN.
SPEAKER 09 :
The other night, Donald Trump said, these are domestic terrorists. Everybody laughed about it and scoffed at it. That video looks like terrorism to me. I mean, it’s obviously an organized, coordinated effort, however people are communicating with each other, to do this to people around the country who chose to buy a Tesla at some point in the past, many of whom I’m sure are Democrats who bought them in the first place, all because their entire political worldview is ruled by their emotions. And that’s the American left right now. It is one angry mob after another willing to take things into their own hands up to and including keying, firebombing and otherwise vandalizing cars and car dealerships and charging stations. It’s outrageous. It is terrorism. People ought to be put in jail and left there for a very long time and be taught a lesson.
SPEAKER 12 :
Absolutely. A hundred percent. No Democrat or Republican or independent can defend this. Nobody should be, much less the governor of Minnesota. Here was Elon last night with Sean Hannity on Fox News talking about dealerships getting firebombed, Tesla owners being vandalized. He attributes it to one thing, mental illness.
SPEAKER 11 :
It’s really come as quite a shock to me that there is this level of really hatred and violence from the left. I always thought the left, you know, Democrats were supposed to be the party of empathy, the party of caring, and yet they’re burning down cars, they’re firebombing dealerships, they’re… firing bullets into dealerships. They’re just smashing up Teslas. Tesla is a peaceful company. We’ve never done anything awful. I’ve never done anything awful. I’ve only done productive things. So I think we just have a deranged… There’s some kind of mental illness thing going on here because this doesn’t make any sense.
SPEAKER 12 :
I mean, how do you explain Tim Walz? How do you explain Governor Walz rooting against your company? Is that a mental illness thing, too? Or is this such blind, rabid, fierce, partisan politics? Speaking of politics, the astronauts were rescued. The stranded astronauts came home. Elon Musk confirmed last night that his company, SpaceX, had offered months ago the opportunity to go back retrieved the astronauts, and the Biden administration turned them down because there was, of course, a campaign going on, and the Biden team didn’t want to give Trump or Elon Musk any leg up.
SPEAKER 01 :
I just want to clarify on the issue of whether or not you had offered to send this rocket to space to rescue these astronauts sooner to Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. I heard somebody earlier today say, in fact, that didn’t happen when I believe it did.
SPEAKER 11 :
No, we definitely offered to return the astronauts earlier. There’s no question about that. The astronauts were only supposed to be there for eight days, and they’ve been there for almost ten months. So obviously that doesn’t make any sense. SpaceX could have brought the astronauts back after a few months at most, and we made that offer to the Biden administration. It was rejected for political reasons, and that’s just a fact.
SPEAKER 12 :
Wow. How about that? How about that? If Trump had denied the recovery of American astronauts for political reasons, what do you think the New York Times or MSNBC would be doing to him? MSNBC is so crazed, they evidently didn’t even cover the astronauts splashing down yesterday. Doesn’t that say it all? You know that’s newsworthy. How’s it not newsworthy? Astronauts coming back to Earth? That’s a huge news story. Why wouldn’t MSNBC cover that or carry it? Because they didn’t want to make Trump look good. They didn’t want to give any credit to Elon Musk. They are reduced to a broken, quivering heap. And I don’t see it getting much better. Thanks for spending part of your Wednesday with us. Let’s do it again tomorrow. Right again from the upstate of South Carolina. Have a great Wednesday. Be safe. Keep fighting the good fight. I’m Mike Gallagher. God bless America.
