SPEAKER 10 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior. From the Relief Factor Studios, here’s Mike Geller.
SPEAKER 07 :
You know, every day, every hour of our show, the man with the golden voice, our friend Doc Morgan, calls me the happy conservative warrior. It’s hard to go to the White House and not understand what that kind of happiness feels like. I’ve never seen Seb Gorka as giddy as he was yesterday. And he’s got a very serious, important role in the Trump administration, rooting out and weeding out terrorists. Seb, of course, playing a key role in counterterrorism. We’re going to talk to Seb today. We’re going to talk to Caroline Leavitt today. We’re going to talk to Scott Besant, the new Treasury Secretary, today. We’re going to talk to Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins today. We’re going to talk to Mae Mailman today. She has been a key attorney fighting for Donald Trump and specializes in protecting the rights of women. All of those conversations took place yesterday at our Media Row event at the White House. And today we’ll play back some of those interviews for you. And everybody is just so determined. And there was, I don’t want to say, the giddiness is the wrong word, but a kind of a happy resolve. The people at the White House, when you walk in there and you walk into that huge, expansive space of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, you go over to the executive office building and you go, which is where most of the… the donuts are made. That’s where most of the hamburger is ground. The heavy lift is in the executive office building. The White House, the West Wing is largely ceremonial. Of course, that’s the president and the chief of staff and all the key players there, but The real, real heavy lifting goes on in what has been known as the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. That’s where we were yesterday in the Indian Treaty Room. I don’t know how they are allowed to call it that, but that’s fine with me. You would think that Biden would have stopped that by now, or even Bill Clinton. But nope, it’s the Indian Treaty Room on the fourth floor of the executive office building, a beautiful, ornate room, and that’s where we interviewed some key members of the Trump administration yesterday. And it is a happy resolve. They are thrilled to go to work. They’re excited about what’s getting done at a breathtaking pace. Axios does a big piece this morning. about Trump’s historic, epic, mega-maga, they call it. Both groups can agree, whether you are a loyal supporter of Donald Trump or whether you’re one of his fiercest detractors, everyone can agree the America that Biden left behind is no longer recognizable, erased in four frenetic weeks by an empowered, and historically popular MAGA presidency. Like Trump 1.0, the firehose of news and norm-busting behavior is the defining feature of the Trump administration. But unlike Trump 1.0, this time, as Axios puts it, the chaos is calculated. and explicitly designed to institutionalize MAGA, paralyze the president’s enemies, and permanently break the Washington establishment. Now, you either like that or you don’t. This week, Elon Musk and Donald Trump sat down with Sean Hannity on Fox. They talked about Musk’s role. They talked about the president’s beliefs and feelings, the whole MAGA agenda. And I would submit to you there is a litmus test, and I’m going to give you one right now. Let me kick things off and give you one to start the hour. Trump is floating the idea of a Doge dividend, five grand in the pocket of every American from the trillions of dollars of waste that Doge is finding. Here’s what he said while speaking at this big conference yesterday.
SPEAKER 05 :
There’s even under consideration a new concept where we give 20% of the Doge savings to American citizens and 20% goes to paying down debt because the numbers are incredible, Elon. So many billions of dollars, billions, hundreds of billions, and We’re thinking about giving 20% back to the American citizens and 20% down to pay back debt and pay down debt.
SPEAKER 07 :
Instead of a chunk of it going to pay down the debt, 40%, half of that would go to the American people. And it comes to apparently about $5,000 a person. You know what? What would $5,000 mean to you right now? If you got a check from the government today for $5,000, what does that look like to you? Now, here’s the litmus test. Establishment Republicans hate this. Trump detractors think it’s a terrible idea. Trump critics think he’s just trying to play games. He’s trying to win over votes. When what he’s actually doing is fulfilling the campaign promise of making America great again by helping Americans One step at a time. What in the world is wrong with that? What in the world? How do you really object to that? Well, you know, the establishment tells us that the real process should involve paying down the national debt. And that’s something that’s all on paper. You know, let’s face it. We’ve got a printing press of money. And ultimately what truly matters is every American… having their quality of life improved. How many bills could you pay off? Does $5,000 that’s unexpected let you get ahead? And so this is the breakdown. Here’s the warring factions on our side. And look, not everybody agrees. We’re not all in lockstep. We never have been. I get it. There are people who don’t love Trump’s style. There are people who are a little worried about MAGA. I get it. It’s all right. But let me put the test to you right now. Are you on board with a $5,000 Doge dividend or not? You think it’s a good idea or not? 800-655-MIKE. If so, why? If not, why not? Do you really think that all of the Doge surplus, everything they’re discovering, should be dedicated to paying down the debt? Or do you love the idea of a $5,000 dividend per person? We’re in the Relief Factor studios. Welcome aboard. It is a Thursday. Back from Washington, D.C. It got a little cold, I think. I got a little head cold. I blame Tracy for submitting my name Mike instead of Michael. And the Secret Service said, no can do, Mr. Gallagher. You don’t enter the White House. Your driver’s license says Michael. Oh, boy. Oh, boy. That’s all right. Live and learn. We won’t make that mistake again, right? So I’ll get over my little hat. I’m thrilled to be back in the warm confines. It’s a balmy 65 degrees in Florida. I hate to rub it in for people who are suffering through the winter weather. Let’s talk about this Doge Dividend idea. 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. Hope you join us. SPEAKER 10 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior. From the Relief Factor Studios, here’s Mike Dillon.
SPEAKER 07 :
I joke a lot about hitting 65 this year. I feel like an old man. So I’m always impressed with young people who are extremely accomplished. Caroline Leavitt is the youngest White House press secretary in U.S. history. And if you watch her in the White House press briefings, you see a young woman who is poised, who’s accomplished, who’s really, really spectacular at her job. You know, one of the Internet narratives is what an upgrade we got after the election was won by the Republicans on November the 5th. And, boy, I’d have to agree. Going from Caroline Binder’s Jean-Pierre or Kareem Binder’s Jean-Pierre to Caroline Leavitt is definitely, definitely, definitely an upgrade. And… Her background is really intriguing to me. She worked as a presidential writer and assistant press secretary, and then she was communications director for Congresswoman Elise Stefanik. And they have a little boy. She’s got a little baby, Nicholas, born in July of 2024. The other day we were invited to the White House for a media row yesterday. And I’ll be honest, I’m not the biggest fan of media. I’ve done a lot of media rows in my career. And it’s a bit of a cluster. You’re in a room jammed with a bunch of big mouths and camera people and technical people and everybody’s jockeying for their own spot. I’m kind of a, in case you haven’t figured it out, I’m a little bit of a control freak. I’m not real good at delegating. So me being in a room with a bunch of other broadcasters is not that I’m better than anybody. I mean, I don’t think that at all, but it’s just awkward. In fact, there was a kind of a rude woman from Sinclair TV.
SPEAKER 06 :
She said, this is our corner. You can’t be in this corner of the table.
SPEAKER 07 :
And, you know, Bren from the White House said, no, no, that’s your spot. Mike, you’re over in that corner. So Jeff Harbaugh and I staked out our own little spot in the room, the Indian Treaty Room, in the Eisenhower office building, part of the White House complex. And, yes, it’s called the Indian Treaty Room, which fascinates me. How the Democrats didn’t get their hands on rebranding that by now is a miracle. But it is indeed the Indian Treaty Room. And Jeff Harbaugh, who had been Sebastian Gorka’s producer here at Salem, who’s now on the beach because Seb took the position in the White House with counterterrorism, Jeff agreed to help us out a little bit yesterday. So Jeff and I were in that room interviewing different people. And frankly, I was glad to meet all of them. I was glad to meet the new Treasury Secretary. I was glad to catch up with my friend Seb. I was glad to catch up with the new head of Veterans Affairs, Doug Collins. Caroline Leavitt. And I did. I’m allowed two questions with one of the most popular ladies in the building, Caroline Leavitt, the White House press secretary, of course, Salem and the Trump administration. We go back. We used to do these events and Trump 1.0. Yes. Listen, can I just ask on a personal level every day when you walk into that White House press briefing room, do you feel like The Christian facing the Lions. I mean, is it an emotional thing or is it just kind of because you’re doing a flawless job?
SPEAKER 02 :
Thank you, Mike, for saying that. I definitely feel blessed to be in this job and for such a time as this. And I just go out there and speak the truth and try to effectively communicate the president’s message as best as I can. knowing i’m going into a room of people who would like to see me fail i think feel it makes me feel empowered and i’m so blessed to have a great team who helps me prepare and helps me get the answers that i need to speak the truth out there and it’s a lot of fun i talk to callers all over the country who who continually root for you do you feel that kind of support from grassroots americans who see what you’re up against and do you know what they’re saying I definitely do. And thank you to all of your listeners and your audience who call and say nice things. It really does mean a lot. And I do feel that. I feel the prayers. And I see the comments online. And it’s very flattering. But I don’t get complacent because every day is a new challenge. Every day is a new news cycle. And we have our foot on the gas here at the White House. And you look at what the president has done. We are fundamentally transforming our country. And that’s exactly what the American people elected him to do. And he’s done so much good in just four short weeks. We have four more years to go. So America is the golden age. There’s no doubt about it.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, I promised them two questions because you’re so busy. But I wanted the opportunity just to say thank you on behalf of the American people for the great work you’re doing. Keep fighting the good fight because we’re in for a ride.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, thank you, Mike. And thanks to all your audience at Salem. We appreciate you guys.
SPEAKER 07 :
Keep fighting the good fight.
SPEAKER 02 :
Thank you.
SPEAKER 07 :
It’s a lot of fun to be there and kind of rub elbows with the people who are in the room where it happens. And there’s a lot happening. My gosh, is there a lot happening. I saw a poll that came out yesterday. Democrats now have the lowest approval rating in many, many, many years. Why is that? Well, let me give you some primary examples. I’m going to give you two prominent Democrats, Karen Bass and Kathy Hochul. Karen Bass is the mayor of Los Angeles. Kathy Hochul is the governor of New York. They said some things that are so outrageous that they defy belief. They’re either… some of the stupidest politicians in the history of the country, or they just count on us being stupid. I want to dive into what Karen Bass said about a particular investigation that she is overseeing. She’s investigating herself, basically. And wait till you hear… Why? And wait till you hear what Kathy Hochul said about the controversial congestion pricing in New York City. Democrats have come up with a scheme. to fleece drivers in New York. And President Trump is trying to put an end to it because it’s not fair and it’s not right. I want you to hear the governor of New York, Kathy Hochul, bragging about congestion pricing and how she goes about it. So buckle up for that here in the Relief Factor studios. Great to be back in balmy Florida. I know a lot of the country is shivering and battling through snow and icy conditions. We were an hour late getting out of Reagan yesterday because they had to de-ice the plane, the dreaded de-icing. Although I’m glad they did it. I don’t want any ice on those wings. Not after the record of aviation lately in America. So welcome into the Mike Gallagher Show. Our number is 800-655-MIKE. I’ll give you public exhibit A and public exhibit B of why the Democrats are tanking with the American people. Public Exhibit A, Karen Bass. Public Exhibit B, Kathy Hochul. The proof as I make my case, coming up here on the Mike Gallagher Show. Nothing but blue skies. Portions of our show brought to you by MyPillow. And I do want to tell you, I got a message from Mike Lindell himself today. This is an amazing offer. Free shipping on everything. So Democrats polling is lower than a whale’s belly at the bottom of the ocean.
SPEAKER 10 :
These guys are becoming one of the most unpopular political entities in the history of the country.
SPEAKER 07 :
More and more people are saying, look, they’re an embarrassment. And it’s because of embarrassing leaders like Karen Bass and Kathy Hochul. Let me give you a couple. And they’re two of the shining stars of today’s Democrat Party. Now, the wildfires that devastated Southern California. included a very ugly chapter of the mayor of Los Angeles deciding it was prudent to hop on a plane and go to Ghana as the wildfire crisis was beginning. And it has been revealed that she knew all about the wildfires. It’s been revealed that, I mean, she essentially declared an emergency and then said, I’m going to Ghana. Keep in mind, she made a campaign promise when running for mayor that she would never go on overseas jaunts. She would never take these junkets. She would never take an overseas trip at the expense of the people of her city. Well, that’s exactly what she did. So she obviously lied and broke a promise, but she’s obviously now having to be accountable. They’re holding her accountable for why she would leave… Right as the wildfire catastrophe was beginning, yesterday on Fox 11 in L.A., she gave an interview. She’s going to conduct an investigation. I mean, I almost can’t believe I’m playing this clip because I keep telling myself nobody could be this stupid. Nobody could be this dumb. Certainly not the mayor of one of America’s biggest, most prominent cities. But the truth is, she is. Well, it’s one of two things. She is either this stupid or she thinks the people are stupid. Stupid enough to buy what it is going to be that she’s going to investigate. Check this out. But what do you mean there were warnings you weren’t aware of?
SPEAKER 09 :
Because I know we were talking about it on the news. A lot of people were talking about the problems, warning that this was going to be a huge deal.
SPEAKER 03 :
So when I talked about it with the fire chief, what she said is that we have warnings of Santa Ana winds a lot. But predicting this, and you saw… From the city, from the county, that level of preparation really didn’t happen. So it didn’t reach that level to me to say something terrible could happen and maybe you shouldn’t have gone on the trip. Why didn’t it happen? But to me, I don’t know. I mean, I think that that’s one of the things we need to look at. So two investigations are taking place. One internal to the city, and that’s the fire commission because that’s mandated by the city charter. Right. So the commission will hire an outside entity to examine everything, the pre-deployment, you know, why were staffs, why were firefighters sent home, you know, all of that that should have taken place that didn’t. And then also the governor has contracted with the Fire Safety Research Institute, which is a national institute that investigated what happened in the fires in Maui. So everything that happened, including that, needs to be examined.
SPEAKER 07 :
Did you hear what she just said? They’re going to investigate why I’m going to investigate why I was allowed to go to Ghana. I’m going to investigate myself. I’m going to investigate my decision to leave the city of Los Angeles and go to Ghana. Now, she’s either dumber than a box of rocks, or she thinks residents of Los Angeles are stupid enough to buy that. I mean, Mayor Bass, you’re an adult. You’re a big girl. Nobody held a gun to your head to force you to go to Ghana. This is an example of today’s leadership in the 2025 Democrat Party. Let me give you another example, and I’m really interested in your reaction to this one. Kathy Hochul is very proud of slamming New Yorkers with a tax, a fee, to drive in New York City, in Manhattan. It’s called congestion pricing. Trump wants to end it. He thinks it’s terrible. Hardworking New Yorkers already have to pay a toll to get onto the island of Manhattan. There’s tolls on all the bridges and tunnels. Then in order to have the privilege of driving around in New York City, they’re going to charge $9. It’s called congestion pricing. They were celebrating. The Democrats think this is the greatest thing going. Oh, look at that. We’re going to curb traffic. We’re going to line the coffers. We’re going to fund the MTA, the entity that runs the buses and the subways and all that and the trains. But Kathy Hochul, this is a little flashback video. Before the congestion pricing was rolled out, She claimed she was actually saving New Yorkers money. Follow this convoluted, twisted logic of the supposedly smart, bright, effective governor of New York claiming that she was saving New Yorkers. New Yorkers’ money. Check out this logic in a flashback video prior to congestion pricing being unveiled in New York.
SPEAKER 11 :
No New Yorker should have to pay a penny more than absolutely necessary to achieve these goals. And $15 was too much. And I’m proud to announce we have found a path to fund the MTA reduce congestion, and keep millions of dollars in the pockets of our commuters. Under this plan, the MTA will implement a congestion pricing plan with a reduced daytime toll of $9 beginning in January. You heard that correctly. It was $15 before, and now it is $9. That is a 40% reduction.
SPEAKER 07 :
She even said, you heard that correctly. We’re going to tax people to the tune of $9 instead of $15. Look at that. We’re saving you 40%. Now, again, she’s either dumber than a bag of hair, or she’s counting on New Yorkers being too stupid. And would accept that cockamamie explanation. Only a Democrat brags about $15 to $9 as a savings under the guise of congestion pricing. Let’s see what you think about all of it. Our number is 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453.
SPEAKER 01 :

SPEAKER 10 :
Mike Gallagher. Every day, Mike visits with Mark Davis, morning host on 660 AM The Answer in Dallas. Here’s today’s M&M experience.
SPEAKER 07 :
First of all, let me just pull the curtain back. I think I can speak for both of us. I’m not exactly a big fan of media rose. They throw you into a room of a bunch of ambitious people, and it’s hard because everybody’s jockeying for position. If there’s a particular rude producer from Sinclair TV, oh, no, this is our corner.
SPEAKER 06 :
This is our part of the table.
SPEAKER 07 :
And everybody’s jockeying and everybody’s jostling. And positioning and everybody’s a try-hard.
SPEAKER 08 :
There’s posturing.
SPEAKER 07 :
And I can’t get over that we’re actually in the Indian treaty room. That’s what fascinates me. They call it that. How in the world do they have that anymore? Exactly. So it’s in the executive building, which is an extension of the White House. It’s on the fourth floor. It started out very badly because my poor producer, Tracy, submitted the official paperwork to the White House as Mike Gallagher. Right. Uh-oh. Uh-huh. When you show up at the White House gate and they need to see your identification, Michael ain’t Mike. Right. And they said, sorry, no can do. Now, I know it’s cold in North Texas. Yeah. But it’s cold in D.C. Yeah. And I’m out there for an hour cursing Tracy by name.
SPEAKER 08 :
Oh, no.
SPEAKER 07 :
For an hour.
SPEAKER 08 :
Her real name.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, yeah, her real name. I got her name right. She didn’t get my name right. And, you know, who thinks about that? It’s kind of a new thing. I mean, but you would think they’d – I think the airlines would let you get on, wouldn’t they, if you had a boarding pass? Yeah. I mean, shh.
SPEAKER 08 :
Oh, man, I don’t know what kind of mood they’re in. I don’t know.
SPEAKER 07 :
I don’t know. These days, who knows? But anyway, so that took another hour. So we were late. And because we were late, that’s why we didn’t get over it. Anyway, it worked out fine. I mean, I got to talk to Caroline Levitt because she’s a superstar. I got to talk to the new Treasury Secretary, Scott Besson. I got to talk to my buddy and my Alaska cruise partner, Seb Gorka. That was a blast. I got to talk to just a bunch of people, and we’ll share a lot of those interviews today on the show. And it is, you walk in, you see the official portraits of Trump and Vance in the White House. The Trump official portrait looks like his mugshot. It does. He’s lit from below. He’s scowling gloriously into the camera.
SPEAKER 08 :
It’s like Darth Vader.
SPEAKER 07 :
It’s like Darth Vader in the White House.
SPEAKER 08 :
I am your president.
SPEAKER 07 :
And now Vance is more traditional. He’s kind of smiling and everything. And I posted some pictures of those portraits on my X account. In fact, I stood between them looking a little bit, you know, bemused. So check that out. Follow me at Gallagher Show on X. But, you know, it was great. It was kind of a quick visit and a… Every time I get to walk across that lawn and you walk in front of that row of TV cameras and reporters, you know, they have a whole media row in the front of the White House where people do all their stand-ups. And there’s a whole row of them, and they have their little tents and their booths and everything. And you look at that historic building, and you just think how lucky you are to get invited to go into that really important space. You think of all the decisions that have been made in the history of America and history It’s a great opportunity to kind of – and to reconnect. And they were so kind to us. The White House, very well aware of the Salem Media Group, certainly aware of our show, and they were very kind. And Caroline said, oh, yeah, yo, the big guy loves you. And I said, well, that’s really – we love the big guy. Yeah. We’re praying for him and praying for all of you. By the way, she’s 27 years old. It gives you hope about the new generations, doesn’t it? She’s incredible. And I asked her that. I said, what’s that like to face that pack of jackals every day? And she smiled. They all are walking around with this sort of… sense of purpose, but I will tell you that the attitude at the White House is joy. They’re not down. Gorka, I’ve never seen Gorka so giddy in my life. He’s not a warm, fuzzy, giddy guy. He was euphoric. I mean, I said, what’s this like? He said, Mike, it’s 20-plus years of a dream come true. It’s an incredible opportunity to make a difference in the world, to serve my country. Because, look, we ain’t exactly coal miners doing talk shows. You know, he definitely, I don’t think it’s a secret, he took a pay cut to go in and work for the White House. But he’s giddy. He’s thrilled. He’s ecstatic. He gave all the credit.
SPEAKER 06 :
I’m as excited as a little girl.
SPEAKER 07 :
That’s close. That’s close. And he gives all the credit to his beautiful wife, Katie, because he said, she’s the reason I’m here. And I said, explain that. He said, look, on the morning of 9-11, she turned to me and she said, you know a thing or two about terrorism. Call one of the TV studios. He goes, I don’t know how to call it. She goes, call. And he called, and that led to kind of a higher prominent role for him in the national landscape.
SPEAKER 08 :
He wrote a book. First time I met Seb was on his book tour of a book he wrote called Defeating Jihad, I want to say. And it was like, wow, this guy has got something. Little did I know that he would then go on to government and then the talk show world and then back into government.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, I’m so proud of him, and I’m so excited for him, and I’m happy for all of them. So let’s dive into some of the, let’s sling this around, as you would like to say, because you threw out a conversation starter. Trump is floating the idea of giving everybody a $5,000 dividend from the savings from Doge. Now, I would submit, I would opine that there’s a litmus test going on here. If you’re an establishment Republican who likes things the way they’ve always been, you don’t like the idea at all. You push back. You’re worried about it. Oh, we should pay down the deficit. Oh, we should look at the national spending. Oh, oh, oh. And, of course, ironically, those same establishment Republicans had no problem with our country spending like drunken sailors for decades. So spare me that. But if you’re MAGA… You think it’s the greatest thing going because what’s Trump promised to do? Make everybody’s life a little better. Do you know what $5,000 in the wallet or the purse of millions of Americans does? And a caller told you this earlier, and I agree with the caller completely. It endears the Republican Party in a way that… I mean, come on. Nothing speaks like cash. Nothing communicates like money. And nobody knows cash like Donald Trump, who’s got a lot of it.
SPEAKER 08 :
So I love… I think you’ve identified this right. Because I’ve got a Twitter poll out right now. But I think it was… edging toward like 55, 45, pay down the debt. Because we’ve all been beaten to death. We’ve got to pay down the debt, pay down the debt. And I know that we do. I think you’re also right that the establishment go along to get along. The fiscal dorks like the idea of paying down the debt, while real people like the idea of getting $5,000. There is another community that doesn’t like the giving the money back. And it’s the kind of the I think sort of the Rand Paul, Greg Gutfeld, libertarian fiscal hawk that says we ought to pay down the debt. I think that’s part of that voice as well. And it’s not like it’s a terrible idea. But what even is the national debt? It’s a promise made to a computer.
