November is National Family Caregivers Month. One in four Americans is stepping up to help older loved ones with everything from meals to bills. Family caregivers spend thousands out of their own pockets each year, and too many have to quit their jobs to keep providing care. Working families can’t afford to wait. It’s time to care for America’s caregivers. Learn more at aarp.org slash care for caregivers. Paid for by AARP.

SPEAKER 10 :
Well, the jobs report just came out. How are we doing with jobs? We know that the GDP is good. We know inflation is good. The U.S. economy jobs report just came out moments ago, September. Uncertainty about economic conditions. Well, look at the U.S. added 119,000 jobs in September. That’s a figure that was well above the estimate of economists. That’s compared to just about 5,000 added the month before. So, again, more good economic news. And yet, and yet, the media narrative, the spin is… Trump’s popularity is plummeting. You better be ready for it. You better brace yourself for the new wave, the tsunami of coverage that claims that supposedly Americans are turning away from Trump and running into the arms of people like Jasmine Crockett, Zoran Mamdani, and the six degenerate congressmen who… presented a video this week telling members of the military to defy orders. It was a very funny day yesterday because people were understandably fired up about these six scoundrels with their supposed military backgrounds or their national security backgrounds urging the military and members of the military and the U.S. Armed Forces to obey illegal orders. And none of them will tell anybody what illegal orders they’re talking about. Nobody. I watched Martha McCallum grill this guy Jason Crow, one of the congressmen, in a way that four times she asks him, What illegal orders are you talking about? What in the world do you mean? Because they didn’t ever explain what they are. Well, guess what? When they get asked about the video now, they still won’t say. I saw one of them say, well, it’s not about the drug boats. People thought, well, maybe it’s about the drug boats. I mean, even I, you know, initially it’s a little like jarring. Oh, my gosh, they’re blowing up drug boats without any due process. Well, they don’t get any due process. They’re not giving the kids they’re killing due process by bringing fentanyl into the United States. I think most people love it. Rand Paul doesn’t, of course. And I do appreciate the pushback, a little bit of pushback. Well, we at least arrest him. We didn’t arrest Osama bin Laden, now did we? They just killed him. They put a bullet between his eyes. And the world cheered. So guess what? Fewer kids are going to die from fentanyl overdoses because of the drug boats getting blown out of the water. But that’s not what they’re even talking about. They said that. So what are they talking about? You’ve got to hear this. You’ve got to see this. Here’s Martha McCallum and Jason Crow. He’s from Colorado, right? Democrat, one of the cabal of six, who are urging members of the military to ignore Trump’s orders, who are actually committing… Textbook sedition. And it is. There’s no other way around it. You look up the definition of sedition, this is what it sounds like. And so here’s Jason Crow with Martha McCallum. She’s clearly angry. She’s clearly upset. She’s ruffled. And she wants him to explain, pardon my language in advance, but she wants him to tell the audience just what in the hell are you referring to.
SPEAKER 06 :
What law are you talking about that’s being broken? And then you said that he’s implying that he might do something that they wouldn’t want to uphold or follow through with in the future. What are you talking about specifically?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, yeah. I appreciate you asking. Well, number one, the protests at Lafayette Square in the first Trump administration where he said, can’t you just shoot them? Can’t you just shoot them in the legs or something? That’s a direct quote. And of course, the then chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
SPEAKER 06 :
That was not a military order. That was a comment that
SPEAKER 07 :
It was when that’s coming from the president of the United States to your command to your generals. Don’t you think that’s a request?
SPEAKER 06 :
I’m asking specifically right now to what you’re talking about.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah. Number two, he’s also threatened to send the military into Chicago and other cities to go to war with those cities. That is a very, very disturbing thing. Number three, he’s also alluded to sending troops to polling stations, which is actually a violation of U.S. law. U.S. criminal law prohibits troops from going to polling stations. And he’s alluded to that. So those are just one of many examples.
SPEAKER 06 :
You’re talking about illusions. You’re not talking about actual policy. You’re not talking about things that are members of our community. service members who we revere and respect are actually being asked to do. So when you see this video on exactly all over the place, when you see this video on social media, I think a lot of people scratch their heads and they say, what what exactly are they talking about? Are they talking about not allowing gunboats to make it to the United States carrying drugs? Is that what you’re talking about?
SPEAKER 07 :
Martha, here’s a novel idea. How about we actually prevent things from happening before they become a problem? I think that’s what they’re trying to do. What you’re saying is we have to wait until there’s a problem to respond to that problem. No, I’m not. As a military officer, what I think is important is we train people. We give them information. We prepare people for challenges coming down the pike. That is what I did as a commander in the military. That’s what I’m doing now. As we are standing by our troops, we are…
SPEAKER 06 :
What specific order from the commander in chief that we are asking our military to carry out are you objecting to? This is very, very vague. And it was so vague in this video. I don’t think people could figure out what you guys were all talking about, honestly.
SPEAKER 10 :
Four times, and he never would answer her. He never would answer her. It was about a five-minute contentious back and forth. Now, an interesting thing happened yesterday. I brought this up a few times on yesterday’s show. The third time that I mentioned it, I started getting calls from people who wanted to defend these six congressmen. And I know what happens. It’s the nature of the show. I’ve been at this a long time. I know listener habits and patterns. People hear a topic like this. They think about it. They hear all the objections to something like this. They hear all the criticisms. And then they think about a counterargument. And then as the show progresses, then they want to call in and they want to argue with me. which is fine. I don’t mind. Want to argue with me? Argue with me. You can’t defend this. You cannot defend what these six elected members of the House and Senate did. You cannot. You want to try? I’m right here. 800-655-MIKE. A lot of text messages. California, they should be rounded up and arrested. They’re a danger and threat to America. Another one from This is from Oklahoma. They will stop at nothing to stop the man America voted for. They even tried to kill him. And finally, to Georgia, from Georgia, Bill, thanks for addressing these scoundrels led by Senator Mark Kelly again. These are modern-day Tokyo roses and should be branded as such. They all deserve punishment. So far, I’m seeing little to no reaction. I’m a former military man and leader of troops. This is a bridge too far. Let’s get your take on it. 800-655-MIKE here in the Relief Factor Studios. I want you to join us. One number does it all. Call or text 800-655-6453. Do you agree with me? that these six are absolutely seditionists? They’re guilty of sedition in the textbook way? Or do you want to defend them? Do you want to excuse them? Do you want to support them? We’re all ears. Join me, 800-655-6453. As you are, you won’t be denied, because I’m satisfied. You ready to drop up to 20 pounds or more by the new year? From the wild world of D.C. politics to America’s culture clash, brace yourself for the reality check you’ve been waiting for. The one and only Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 10 :
A lot of breaking news. A great jobs report came out a few minutes ago for September, exceeding expectations. There’s continual good economic news. The media is not going to really reflect that. They’ll do a one-off, they’ll report it, and they’re going to bounce on to the next thing. Because they’re trying to do everything they can to thwart the Trump agenda. And that’s okay. The American people can walk and chew gum at the same time. We can have concerns about foreign policy versus domestic and all. But at the end of the day, we’re winning. And they’ll try to tell you we’re not. They’ll move on from one thing to the next, whether it’s Epstein or whether it’s the drug boats or whether it’s ICE, whatever. They’ll just continue to flounder to try to find things to diminish the accomplishments of the Trump administration. Tomorrow, President Trump is going to host the incoming mayor of of New York City’s Zoran Mamdani. I don’t know how that’s going to go. Do you know my producer legitimately said to me when I said that Trump will host him in the Oval Office, what, you think he’ll really host him in the Oval Office? I said, where do you think he’s going to meet with him? She said, maybe the basement? And she was serious. Tracy and many can’t even believe that Trump is taking a meeting with this guy. Now, it’s not really getting off to a good start. He posted on social media, and I don’t have the post in front of me. I’ll get it here in a second. But the post literally calls Mamdani the incoming communist mayor of New York, Zoran. And what’s his middle name? He used his middle name. Yeah, Kwame, I think. Maybe it’s Zoran Kwame Mamdani. is coming to the Oval Office for a meeting. Now, I don’t know. Trump’s a bigger man than I am. Would you meet with Zoran Mamdani? And Mamdani requested the meeting. He explained to reporters yesterday why he wants to travel to Washington to meet with the President of the United States. Now, you remember, this is a guy on the campaign trail who’s promised to make New York Trump-proof, who has sworn he’ll have Netanyahu arrested on the spot, a guy who has never denounced the phrase globalize the intifada, a guy who wants to demoralize the NYPD, a guy who doesn’t want to cooperate in removing illegal immigrants from New York City. He’s a bad guy. Everybody knows on our side he’s a bad guy. Young people are like, oh, he’s going to give us free stuff. We’re going to get free bus rides. We’re going to get our rent frozen. Oh, we’re going to have grocery stores that the government runs. This socialist, communist, Marxist utopia isn’t going to work in New York City. But hey, they futzed around. Let them find out. And we’re going to find out. But back to the meeting tomorrow. So here’s the incoming communist mayor, Zoran Mamdani, explaining what he’s going to discuss tomorrow. with Donald Trump.
SPEAKER 01 :
What do you want to come out of a meeting with Donald Trump? I want to just speak plainly to the president about what it means to actually stand up for New Yorkers and the way in which New Yorkers are struggling to afford this city and frankly cost of living is something that I heard time and time again from New Yorkers about why they voted for Donald Trump. And this is something that has only continued in the last few months of this year where we’re hearing about child care concerns, rent concerns, Con Ed concerns, even just getting on the bus just $2.90. And just to make it clear to the president that this is what we’re talking about. These are the stakes for New Yorkers and their ability to keep calling the city their home.
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, you want to speak plainly? You’re going to find out what plain speak sounds like. You want plain talk? Uh-huh. Oh, you’re going to get an earful. Here was Trump’s announcement yesterday that just cracked me up. I mean, he’s pulling no punches. I quote, this is from Truth Social, Communist Mayor of New York City, Zoran Kwame Mamdani, has asked for a meeting. We have agreed that this meeting will take place at the Oval Office on Friday, November 21st. Further details to follow. Here was Salem Radio Network host and CNN contributor and our friend, new author, by the way, new book he’s got out, Scott Jennings. Here was Scott’s take on this last night on CNN.
SPEAKER 15 :
It’s good for the president and the mayor of New York City, the mayor of all big cities. It’s good for them to have a relationship. What I am worried about is what we have seen out of big city Democrats and blue state Democrats from the time Trump came back into office is resistance to everything, resistance to enforcing federal immigration law, resistance to working with the president on virtually anything. So I hope they have a productive meeting. But if he acts like the rest of the Democrats in local office in this country, we’re in for a bunch of uh resistance out of New York City when he ought to be looking for cooperation because as you know Trump is a New Yorker he cares about New York City and he wants the best for New York City there’s possibility here for cooperation if Mom Donnie will let it happen but I’m afraid that’s not what his base that put him in office wants him to do as usual good analysis from Scott because here’s my analysis Scott says it’s good for the president to have a relationship with the mayor of New York City I don’t know how to have a relationship with a radical like this guy
SPEAKER 10 :
I don’t really know anybody who’s this extreme. I’ve got some friends who are kind of out there. I don’t know anybody like this. And I do not know anybody who wants to decimate the police by sending social workers to violent crime, a guy who wants to spring criminals, who wants to close Rikers Island, a guy who wants to crush business owners. He’s a snake. He’s an absolute snake. Every time I see that leering grin of his, I think, boy, I know what New York is in for. So what do you make of this meeting between Trump and Zoran Kwame Mamdani, as Trump calls him, with his middle name in quotes, in quotation marks? Would you meet with him? Would you sit down with him after what he plans to do, not only to New York, but to Trump? I wouldn’t take a meeting with them. I’d tell them to go pound salt. You figure it out, pal. You go do what you’re going to do. You’re going to be all excited getting sworn in on January 1st, surrounded by your advisors who have just come over here from other countries, who are pro-Islamist, who are bad actors. Nah, not in my White House. Not if I’m president. But, hey, maybe Trump’s got a plan. Let’s see what your reaction is here in the Relief Factor studios. 800-655-MIKE. Join me. One number does it all. Call or text. 800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453.

SPEAKER 10 :
Looks like a gloomy day at Baltimore Harbor. Of course, I’m seeing it, courtesy of the Salem News Channel camera network. And we’re heard every day on AM 570, The Answer, in the Baltimore, Washington, D.C., metro area. Make sure you check it out, snc.tv. Growing every day by leaps and bounds. Text message from South Carolina. Jim in Spartanburg writes, I would absolutely meet with Mom Donnie in the Oval Office. The reason is that the White House and the Oval Office specifically represent one of the very best examples of home field advantage. It was built to intimidate. Incidentally, speaking of Spartanburg, I just want to brag on the audience and the show for two seconds. We saw the ratings yesterday for October. The Nielsen ratings come out on a regular basis for the radio stations that carry the Mike Gallagher show all over the country. And in Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, Western North Carolina, it’s a great media market. They do great TV, Channel 7, 4, 8. WLOS, they all do great work, and they’ve got great radio stations in that market. That was the birthplace for a great urban station. I think they call it Jams in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson. They just have great stations. I am so proud to share that our show is number one in the market. Not even close, really, in every category. 12-plus stations. Every demographic we measure. The station is just fantastic. 98.9 WORD, the voice of the Carolinas. And, of course, I’ve got a history there. That’s where I started many, many years ago. And the station has just… jettisoned into one of the finest talk stations in America. The team there, Steve Senecroppi is the general manager, Mark Hendricks, all the people there, Joey Hudson has an early morning show there at 5 a.m., and then Tara in the morning. She is tremendous. She’s smart. Interesting show she does. She doesn’t make any calls. And one of the smartest hosts I’ve ever heard. We’ve had her on the show before, and she’s a terrific, terrific talent. And she just, but she basically does, you know, her analysis. And she comes from kind of a newspaper journalist background. But she’s great. Then I come on after Tara, one of my favorite. hosts in the country is Bill Frady. He comes on right after me. He’s a great storyteller, just warm and smart. Charlie James is fantastic. I think he came from Charleston and now he’s on the station. But when you’re number one, In this very competitive arena that we’re in, that’s saying a lot about the station. It’s saying a lot about the audience. And please know how grateful I am to the upstate of South Carolina and western North Carolina for making us number one. Because it’s a great feeling. And I’m so appreciative. Of course, it’s home for me. I’m going to be there tomorrow. I’m so thrilled, and the reason I’m going is to pay a visit to Joyce, our longtime listener in North Carolina, who is celebrating her 100th birthday on Saturday. And Joey and I are going to go up to North Carolina to go to the party. We’ve been invited. I got a specific invitation and everything. I was telling my buddy Mark Davis about it in Dallas. He said, Mike, you ought to go to the party. She was going to turn 100th. Because I get these emails from her. And I’ve been getting emails from her for a while. And then she casually mentioned, yeah, I’m going to be celebrating my 100th birthday on November 22nd. Can you imagine? A hundred years old. and just as smart and sharp and wonderful and funny. And I know her family is excited that we’re coming, and I’m excited that we’re going to get to go. And I’ll tell you all about it. In fact, Mark Davis, who suggested I go, wants us to be sure to FaceTime with her from the party. So we’re going to do that Saturday afternoon. And I’ll probably, Joey will take some videos, I think, and we’ll play them for you on Monday’s show. I’m so excited. And look, what a great opportunity. Imagine getting to go to help somebody celebrate their 100th birthday. How lucky am I, huh? How blessed am I that I get to do things like that? So thank you for your support in the Carolinas. Thank you for your patronage of 98.9 WORD, one of America’s. absolute best radio stations, and we were so proud to see that across the board, incidentally, not just me, all the shows just killing it in that market. So thank you, thank you, thank you for supporting 98.9WORD. They’ve got a great… Just a great team. SPEAKER 09 :
Michael, it’ll be pure entertainment. Pure entertainment. Can you imagine?
SPEAKER 10 :
I can’t wait. Please let them have a camera or a microphone in there. I mean, how’s Trump? That’s what I’m hoping. Look at his message, Mike. Communist mayor of New York, Kwame, has asked for a meeting. How’s that going to go?
SPEAKER 09 :
How’s this going to go, Mike? This will be a meeting the kid will never forget for the rest of his life. To say the least. To say the least.
SPEAKER 10 :
Paul in Salem, Oregon. Paul, welcome. How you doing?
SPEAKER 11 :
Greetings, Mr. Gallagher, from the land of Tina Mortax.
SPEAKER 10 :
I know. I know. I pray for you. Hang in there.
SPEAKER 11 :
The mission continues.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yes, sir.
SPEAKER 11 :
Hang in. I listen to you a lot. Thank you. And I appreciate most of your opinions, but that’s another story. I think that the president looks at this as another opportunity to project fearlessness against the brain-damaged, never-ending witch hunt, is my take on it.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah. Well, and he also has to express fearlessness against the very evil and insidious people marxist agenda he’s got to take it on and he no i yeah totally that’s yeah that’s part of my thinking no it’s a good point it’s a good point it’s a really good observation i think look trump’s he is fearless there’s a guy gets shot and stands up and thrusts his fist into the air you know and people saw immediately wow this guy is a fighter he’s a warrior we need him to be the commander-in-chief And again, it’s working. Things are working well. Check out Rick over at CNBC and his reaction to the jobs report that just came out as we were coming into the studio today to do the Mike Gallagher show.
SPEAKER 02 :
And here we go. This is the September job, job, jobs report. Non-farm payrolls are up a robust 119,000. 119,000 would be the best since April when we were up 158,000. In the rearview mirror, well, last month was downgraded from 22,000 to minus 4,000. Now, if we look at what’s going on with the unemployment rate, it ticked up from 4.3 to 4.4. That was unexpected. 4.4 would, last time we were at that level, boy, I have to go back a ways. October of 2021, when it was 4.5%. Now, if we look at labor force participation rate, it ticked up. That’s a good thing. 62.4 equals where we were in May. You have to go to April of this year when it was 62.6 to find a higher number.
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, wow. You mean more good economic news? That’s not what the media is telling us. The media is telling us the economy is crashing under Trump. The media is telling us that Trump is performing badly even with foreign policy. Well, you heard CNBC. What about what CNN is saying about Trump’s foreign policy approval ratings? That and a whole lot more coming up.
SPEAKER 12 :
Mike Gallagher.

SPEAKER 10 :
It’s a wild and woolly Thursday. All kinds of breaking news. Great economic news coming out from the jobs report. Hey, great news for Trump in terms of policy performance with the American people regarding foreign policy. Now, I think that could be part of the problem. Also, let’s follow up to the extraordinary week we’ve had covering the video that six members of Congress posted yesterday. Encouraging members of the military to defy orders and commands. People are real angry about this. Including President Trump, who posted moments ago, seditious behavior punishable by death. So get ready for the mainstream media to lose their minds. They’re going to report that President Trump wants six members of Congress executed. So things are going to get a little spicy. But I’m also kind of interested in the dynamic of Trump’s popularity with foreign policy. A lot of people would say, wow, look how popular he is. Even more popular than previous presidencies. Check out CNN’s numbers guru, Harry Enten. And I just want you to think about it in terms of whether you think this really helps Trump with Americans or might even hurt him. I think you know where I’m going with this. But let me share what is positive polling data out of CNN for President Trump on the matter of foreign policy.
SPEAKER 04 :
This is one of the areas in which Donald Trump is performing significantly better than he was in term one. One of his best issues relative to term one. What are we talking about? Approve of Trump on foreign policy at this point in term one. Look, Donald Trump was just at a 35 percent approval rating up like a rocket. We’re talking about 43 percent now. That’s an eight point rise on the net approval rating. We’re talking about a double digit rise. The American people like much more of what they’re seeing from Donald Trump and foreign policy in term two than they did in term number one.
SPEAKER 05 :
So often presidents in their second term, usually later in their second term, frankly, will turn to foreign policy. So how does President Trump compare to past presidents in their second term?
SPEAKER 04 :
You know, this to me is one of the most interesting data points, because normally when we look at these data points, we see that Trump is doing worse than other presidents. But on this one, he is doing significantly better because take a look here. All right. Twenty first century foreign policy approval rating at this point in term two. George W. Bush was down at 36 percent. Barack Obama was at 37%. Look at this. Donald Trump actually leads the pack at 43%. Donald Trump has a higher foreign policy approval rating at this point in a second term than any other president who served their entire second term in the 21st century. This is something I think Donald Trump really likes to look at because the bottom line is this. Presidents like to build their legacies off of foreign policy. And at this particular point, the American people like much more of what Donald Trump’s doing on foreign policy than either of the two other 21st century presidents who served.
SPEAKER 10 :
Now, what’s fascinating about those numbers is that, and what I think is important to remind everybody, there’s nuance there because foreign policy does impact our economy. And I keep thinking about that old expression back in the Clinton era, it’s the economy, stupid, because everybody is stupid. focused on affordability. That becomes the, according to the mainstream media, that’s why Trump’s popularity is allegedly cratering. Look, it is not. Spoiler alert, they’re fully you-know-what. Saw Axios today. Oh, red alert everywhere. The Republicans turn. There’s bad news. There’s bad news. Baloney. Democrats won where Democrats were expected to win in November. That’s garbage. There were two little races in Georgia, I think, to try to suggest that all of a sudden Trump’s polling is underwater is garbage. But I would not dispute that prices have to come down across the board. Interest rates have to come down. The mortgage rates have to decrease. There is economic uncertainty. You know, for every story that I see saying that our Thanksgiving dinners are going to be less expensive this year than they were last year, I’ll find another story saying what’s actually going to be a little more. People are telling anybody who will listen, and I get the, look, I got my ear to the grindstone. I’m listening to you. I’m listening to what you’re saying. You’re saying the grocery prices still have to come down. So my question is, since Trump’s poll numbers are, according to CNN, so good with regards to foreign policy, does that help him or hurt him? Because I suspect that a lot of people hear that and they say, well, that’s great. I’m glad he’s dealing with Ukraine and Russia and Israel and Hamas and even Sudan. This week, after his meeting with the Saudi crown prince, Trump was made aware of the horrors that are taking place in Sudan. And I think people are saying, yeah, okay, that’s all well and good, but put America first is what Trump is all about. He’s America first, but he’s clearly not America only. And I happen to agree with that personally. We can’t be isolationists. The rest of the world is part of the equation for American success. But let me just ask you a simple question before we get into some other things this hour. Does this news that Trump is popular on foreign policy more so than Bush or Obama? At this stage of Trump’s presidency, he’s got a 43% approval rating on foreign policy. George Bush had a 36% approval rating. Barack Obama had a 37% approval rating. I mean, Trump is smoking them in terms of foreign policy polling. Is that good or bad? Might not be as good as one might think. Let’s find out here in the Relief Factor Studios. 800-655-MIKE.
