Join Mike Gallagher as he navigates through the complexities of the U.S. political landscape with an engaging discussion on tax reforms, government funding priorities, and the ongoing Ukraine-Russia conflict. This episode unfolds as Mike examines the viability of defunding NPR and PBS, challenging the status quo of public broadcasting funding. Mike engages with callers to explore diverse perspectives on America’s foreign policy, particularly the strategic and moral implications of supporting Ukraine amidst its tensions with Russia. As Gallagher weaves personal anecdotes and listener input, he paints a vivid picture of America’s challenges and potential solutions in the ever-evolving political

The Mike Gallagher Show on Salem News Channel and the Salem Radio Network.
SPEAKER 02 :
What we’re doing right now is by making all those tax cuts permanent, we’re preventing the largest tax increase in U.S. history. Kristen, if we don’t get this bill passed, every American is going to receive the largest tax increase in the history of our country at the end of this year when the TCJA expires. Don’t forget that. We have to extend it, and this is the vehicle to do it.
SPEAKER 09 :
In the ReliefFactor.com studios, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, I don’t mean to be overly melodramatic, but if this bill doesn’t get passed, it’s going to be a catastrophe for the country, for the Trump administration, for every man, woman and child in this country. This bill better pass. And if Republicans, I mean, it’ll be their last act if we find that there are Republicans who torpedo the big, beautiful bill. they’ll be out of office. I mean, surely America will understand collectively that they’re the ones that sabotaged it. It’s not going to be perfect. It’s not going to be as extensive as we want. But we cannot let the Democrats lose. I mean, the Democrats win and the Republicans lose this. We can’t let the Democrats have this massive victory. They are praying that Thomas Massey and Tom Tillis and go down the list will get in the way of the big, beautiful bill. It’s got to pass. It’s got to pass. And we’ve got so much to try to tackle today. I mean, just moments ago, it was revealed that Ukraine has announced they’ve attacked Russia again after their attack on Russian air bases the other day, which reportedly was done without notifying President Trump or the United States. Now, let that sink in as Vladimir Zelensky continues to have his hand out, expecting the American taxpayer to fund this war between Russia and Ukraine. Evidently, Ukraine bombed a bunch of planes in Russia without telling Trump or the United States of America. If that’s true, you go ahead and tell me why we should continue to fund and support and defend Ukraine. Americans are getting their fill of Zelensky and Ukraine. And moments ago, Ukraine now announced it has struck a major bridge between connecting Russia to Crimea with underwater explosives. So evidently, Ukraine has again attacked Russia. And the pro-Russia people are like, yeah, yeah, yeah, way to go, way to go, way to go, Zelensky. You’re going to beat Russia. And I keep asking you, is there any scenario where you think Ukraine defeats Russia? Is there any plausible belief that Ukraine will defeat Vladimir Putin and his army? And I keep wondering and asking what we’re doing in that mess. Why we’re continuing to be there in terms of funding and support and all of the, remember all the Ukrainian flags? Look, we get it. Putin’s a bad guy. We understand that Russia’s invasion of Ukraine was wrong. And Trump’s got his hands full. He’s trying to figure it out. But I come back to our taxpayer support. I want to go back to whether or not… You look at things that we fund. Part of the Big Beautiful Bill, for example, is defunding NPR and PBS. There’s no reason for taxpayers to fund broadcast programming for anybody. They’re claiming, they’re suing Trump. NPR and PBS are suing Trump, claiming that it’s a constitutional violation for them not to get taxpayer money. Are you kidding me? In other words, you don’t fund all things considered, or you don’t want to fund all things considered, or Elmo, you’re shredding the Constitution. That’s their argument, which kind of confirms for me that we have no business funding public broadcasting. If that’s the best they got, that somehow it’s unconstitutional, they don’t have a leg to stand on. Sell more tote bags. Sell more advertising. You already do that anyway. Just up your game, NPR. Up your game, PBS. And they’re squealing like stuck pigs at the thought of losing taxpayer funding. Well, what if we don’t want to fund their biased agenda? It’s broadcast. It’s broadcast. Nobody’s going to fund the Mike Gallagher show or the Chris DeGaulle show or the Hugh Hewitt show or Town Hall. You think, what would happen if taxpayers were funding conservative media? So now do Ukraine. Ukraine, with these audacious attacks, striking Russia, evidently without our knowledge, disrespecting President Trump, And he is holding his cards to the vest because he’s got a mess on his hands. And part of the mess is America’s involvement. So you tell me Ukraine strikes Russia continually without our knowledge, evidently, and you think we should continue to financially support Ukraine? What’s the endgame? What’s the endgame? These are reasonable questions. Janet is in Oregon, who makes the case that Ukraine should continue to get our support. Hi, Janet. Welcome. How are you today?
SPEAKER 10 :
I’m doing okay, sweetie. I just started listening to you, and I enjoy it very much.
SPEAKER 08 :
Thank you, Janet. Well, welcome to the family. We’re glad you’re with us. Tell me why you think we should continue to fund Ukraine.
SPEAKER 10 :
Because Putin went over there and he’s a bad person. Right. And his soldiers went over there and started and thrashed that country. Right. They have beautiful women over there, beautiful men, beautiful children, a beautiful country, beautiful buildings. Right. History. Right. History. And… And so he deserves what he gets from Putin. Not their country, really.
SPEAKER 08 :
Right, right. Well, let me ask you then. Okay, and we can agree that Putin’s a bad guy and the invasion of Ukraine was horrible.
SPEAKER 10 :
And then you want to know about… Hang on, let me ask you the question.
SPEAKER 08 :
So do you think there’s any scenario where Ukraine can defeat Russia?
SPEAKER 10 :
I don’t know, but they started it, and they hurt babies, and they hurt children.
SPEAKER 08 :
That’s a different subject, though. I know that. Well, Ukraine is hurting babies and children, too. I mean, there’s a lot of Russians.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, I can’t help that. They started it. Okay, so you want us to… I don’t really want them to hurt… No one wants them to hurt babies and children or adults. But we can’t get to Putin, okay? We cannot get to him. He’s killed people, and he’s an evil. Someone should have taken care of that problem a long time ago.
SPEAKER 08 :
We got that. But he’s still in control, and he’s still got his army, and he’s still got his nuclear capabilities. And you say you don’t know. If you’re going to fund Ukraine, what do you think the end game is? What’s the goal? What’s the end result in our taxpayers’ support of Ukraine?
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, look where all the taxpayers’ money is going anyway to all kinds of other stuff, and it’s just not helping the world a whole lot.
SPEAKER 08 :
I got you. All right, Janet. Well, we’re glad. Sorry, I have to disagree on this. I’m not making any progress with you, but I really would like to find somebody who can tell me what they think the endgame is going to be. You think Ukraine is going to defeat Russia? You think Ukraine is going to topple Russia? And then what do we do? Should we have boots on the ground in Russia and Ukraine? How far do you want to go? How far do you want to support this? And some of this is really strange. The big attack the other day came the day after Lindsey Graham went over there with a contingent. And I’m absolutely baffled by that. But I really am asking why… I appreciate Janet’s big-hearted perspective that Putin is bad and hurt a good country like Ukraine. Incidentally, Janet, whatever you do, don’t Google Ukraine corruption. Don’t look up what Ukraine has been up to for many years under the leadership of Zelensky. They’re not exactly choir boys. They’re not exactly angelic themselves. A lot of corruption, a lot of graft, a lot of journalists imprisoned, a lot of bad things in Ukraine too. But it comes down to why should we be a part of this? Why should we be in the mix? And I keep asking and asking and asking, and thus far, I can’t come up with, get much of an answer. Maybe you can help. 800-655-MIKE, one open line, 800-655-6453. My mouse has gone out. Can you pull up two for me, Eric? Line two, Kalamazoo, because it’s not. There we go. Hey, Chad, how are you?
SPEAKER 12 :
Great, sir. Love your show. Thank you. I’ll get right to the point.
SPEAKER 08 :
Sure.
SPEAKER 12 :
I don’t necessarily agree with Janet. I just think that I believe it was back in 92, part of removing nuclear bombs from Ukraine is that we kind of got ourselves in a position, if they ever got themselves into a tussle, that we’d have their back. Yeah. Not necessarily agree with what’s going on, but the other point is one of the top generals say, If you want to play war games, you don’t want to do it on the home court.
SPEAKER 08 :
I know. I know. I hear you. And I just wonder… Thanks, Chad. I just wonder… I’m a pretty simple guy. I keep asking everyone, what’s the goal here in continuing to fund, with American taxpayer money, this battle between Russia and Ukraine? And I think there’s a… I think there’s a… a sensitivity that people have to the brazen cruelty of Vladimir Putin. And I appreciate that. That’s why I can’t get too angry at people like Janet, because what Ukraine has been put through is awful. But now, how do we fix that? And how do you expect us to fix that? That’s the question. I did an interview yesterday with a reporter who was asking me about any of my contentious interviews that I had over my career. He was writing, and they do really good work at Barrett Media. I’m enjoying their work, and there’s some great writers over there like this Garrett Seawright. And he called me and said, look, considering the contentious exchange between – it was Megyn Kelly and – Who was it with? Bill Maher? Who’d she mix it up? Oh, no, Jake Tapper. It was Jake Tapper. That’s right. So, you know, and it got real contentious. And, of course, we covered it on the show. So Barrett Media called and said, in your career, have you ever had a contentious interview like that? And I had to think about it. And I thought, not really. The only thing that came to mind was when Michael Smirconish hung up on me in the middle of an interview. Remember that, Eric? Michael Smirconish was allegedly a conservative radio host from Philly. And he wrote a column that I was intrigued by because he was sort of playing footsie with Barack Obama. And I thought, this is odd that a conservative radio host is sort of positive about Barack Obama. What is it about Obama’s agenda that any conservative could find acceptable? So I invited him on the show. He came on the show. Midway through the interview, I find out he says he voted for Obama. I said, you voted for Obama? And I couldn’t believe it. I was just stunned. And he wound up hanging up on me. In fact, he later followed up. Remember, Eric, he wrote a column about it? Because he used to write for the Philadelphia Inquirer. I don’t know if he still does or not. But he wound up writing about basically the obnoxious, awful, monstrous Mike Gallagher and how dare I criticize. And then it turned out a few weeks later, he did his show from Obama’s White House. I thought, oh, now it kind of makes sense. But I’ve got nothing against the guy. He’s got a weekend show now, right, over on X? I mean on X, on CNN? I think he’s on CNN. I don’t know much about the guy. I just remember when I had to think in my body of work of any of the contentious interviews that I’ve ever had, that was the one that came to mind because it’s not often that somebody hangs up on me. mid-interview. Well, there was the other guy that hung up on me. A guy that… I won’t say the name. In fact, I’ll just get in trouble for saying that. But he was a very busy man. And he had other things to do. Started the interview, said, I gotta go. Click. I’ll never forget that. It’s strange. It’s strange to be hung up on by really important people like Michael Smirconish. What are you gonna do? Just another day in paradise. Speaking of Obama lovers like Smirconish, how about the way the legacy media is twisting itself into a pretzel over the secure border? Great piece from Red State I want to share with you. Stick around. There’s a lot more of our Tuesday episode coming up on the Salem News Channel and the Salem Radio Network. Portions of our show brought to you by MyPillow and Big Deal. Two sales in one. First, they’re having a closeout sale on the percale bedsheets. Any size, any color, $25. The Mike Gallagher Show.
SPEAKER 02 :
The reality is there will either be less inventory or things at higher prices or both.
SPEAKER 07 :
When we were here in March, you said there was going to be big inflation. There hasn’t been any inflation. Actually, the inflation numbers are the best in four years. So why don’t we stop trying to say this could happen and wait and see what does happen.
SPEAKER 09 :
In the Relief Factor studios on Salem News Channel and Salem Radio Network, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 08 :
That was a great moment when Scott Besson, the Treasury Secretary, reminded Margaret Brennan, hey, last time I was here, you said inflation was going to be spiraling out of control. Inflation is the lowest it’s been in four years. Unemployment is virtually nonexistent in America. Trump’s approval ratings continue to go up. New poll came out today, Trafalgar Group, 53%. Rasmussen’s got him at 51%, 52%. Funny, you’d think the way that they’re blaming him for everything from your Aunt Bertha’s gout to the thunderstorms, he’d be underwater with his approval rating. Let’s not… One of the challenges I face every day is to spend too much time with the crazies. Because it feels like the world has gone completely wackadoodle, but it hasn’t. There’s a lot of good, decent, normal, wonderful things in the world. A lot of joy in the world. And I urge you to… The pastor at the sermon on Sunday’s church service talked about gravitating to joy. Making sure joy… fills you. I just reposted something on X. A minor league baseball player was taken out of the game. I don’t even know what team he played for. I just came across this a couple of minutes ago because I spend too much time on my phone. That’s one of the things I got to work on. But a minor league baseball player was taken out of the game and his coach or the manager of the team told him why. He’s being called up to the majors. Now, for a minor league baseball player, to get that call, to get that message, it’s everything. You’ve worked your whole life to get to that point. And they had cameras and microphones rolling when the manager told the player, you’re being called up to Seattle. You’re going to be in the big leagues. And his reaction, that young man’s take, and the hugs and the tears and the joy in that dugout. Follow me on X if you want to put a smile on your face. At Gallagher Show is my handle, and I hope you’ll follow me. I’ve been stuck at 75,000 followers forever. Come on, we can do better than that. Can I get to 80 at least or 90? Help a brother out. Get me to 100. So I don’t have Hugh Hewitt always bragging about how many billions of followers he has. I’ve got a long way to go to catch up to some of my colleagues and friends. But I like X, and I’m enjoying it. We stream the show every day, Salem News Channel on X. Again, at Gallagher Show, check us out. And there is a… Right now, we’ve got a post… On X, I just reposted the video clip of the minor league baseball player being told he’s making it to the big leagues. Joy. Remember joy. Yes, we got challenges. Yes, we got things we’re up against. Don’t. fail, to get drawn to joy. I get the joy of coming to work every day and telling you about places like Chapter. When I hit 65 a couple of weeks ago, I admitted I was feeling sorry for myself. I do that once in a while. You know me. And I didn’t know how to navigate Medicare. And I needed Medicare because, look, I’m Part A, Part B, G, LMNOP. And it was a mess. I was getting bombarded by I was getting bombarded with all kinds of letters and phone calls. Gosh, chapter came to my rescue. If you’re turning 65 or if you’re over 65, take control. Call 25 Medicare and talk to a chapter representative. The choices are complex. They’re difficult. But you could be making a whole lot of mistakes with Medicare. They make it simple. They advocate for you. That’s the difference. Their database searches all coverage options. They’re not affiliated with the insurance industry. 25 Medicare. Call 25 Medicare or go to Medicare4Mike.com. Medicare4Mike.com. Here’s a lot of, this is about 50-50. Connecticut sends me a text on the MyPillow text line. The never-ending war proponents need to abandon the notion of the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Russia was an ally in World War II. Afghanistan was a friend when they were fighting Russia? Sometimes we have to let them kill each other off and let God sort it out. Well, a little cynical approach. I’m not sure I’d go with that. But Tom makes a point. Tom makes a point. How far should our funding for Ukraine go? And what are we going to do if and when that dreadful moment occurs when Russia decides to retaliate against us? Kenny is in St. Louis, Missouri. Hey, Kenny, welcome to the Mike Gallagher Show. How are you today? Just fine. How are you, Mike? I’m great, sir. What’s up?
SPEAKER 13 :
All right. Well, the forever war, I’m not for it, but I believe that we are obligated to keep spending money there.
SPEAKER 08 :
I see. Are we obligated?
SPEAKER 13 :
to back them if they gave up their nuclear weapons.
SPEAKER 08 :
Sure. So should we back them and go to war with Russia, Kenny? You want to go to war with Russia?
SPEAKER 13 :
No, but here’s the deal.
SPEAKER 08 :
What are we going to do if they retaliate? What are we going to do if they retaliate? What if Russia decides they’re cornered? What if they’re so frustrated at our support for Ukraine that Russia decides to retaliate against us?
SPEAKER 13 :
Let me ask you this. What are we going to do if Russia attacks a NATO country?
SPEAKER 08 :
We gave our word to them, too. You just changed the subject. I want you to stay focused. Do you want to go to war with Russia or not? No, I don’t. Why not? We gave our word to Ukraine to help them, you said, Kenny.
SPEAKER 13 :
I said I don’t want to, but we may have to.
SPEAKER 08 :
Oh, we may have to.
SPEAKER 13 :
We gave our word to protect them.
SPEAKER 08 :
Got it.
SPEAKER 13 :
I don’t get it. I don’t remember.
SPEAKER 08 :
So you think it’s worth losing American lives in a battle, in a war with Russia, which would likely be a nuclear war, because you say we gave our word to Ukraine that we’d have their back? You realize what that sounds like?
SPEAKER 13 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 08 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 13 :
You know what I mean? Our word has no meaning whatsoever.
SPEAKER 08 :
Then let’s go to war with Russia, Kenny. Let’s get into a nuclear conflict with Russia because we gave our word to Ukraine, right?
SPEAKER 13 :
Well, if that’s what it turns out to be. Don’t make promises you can’t keep.
SPEAKER 08 :
If that’s what it turns out to be. Now, I don’t mean this to be disrespectful because you sound like a great guy. I have a hunch you’re not, you and I aren’t in a fighting age. So when you’re committing troops, I’ll bet that doesn’t involve you or your kids, does it? No, it doesn’t, but Vietnam was. Well, God bless you, and we appreciate your service. And you gave ably, and you served this country. Now don’t expect us to have your grandkids serve this country in a war with Russia. Kenny, I mean this with love, and I mean this with respect. You don’t want us to go to war with Russia. Period. And at some point, we’ve got to turn off the spigot. At some point, enough is enough. At some point, we’ve got to realize that there’s a reason that the Bill Crystals of the world are all, and the Mike Pence’s of the world, are enamored with supporting Ukraine. Because they never met a forever war they didn’t like. Period. How about we pay our debts? How about we get our own act in order? How about we get our house in order? How about we pass the big, beautiful bill, And ramp down our massive debt before we keep giving billions and billions and billions of dollars in aid to Ukraine. Look, I admit, I’m surprised at the amount of callers who are in favor of funding Ukraine. It’s intriguing to me. And I appreciate it. Look, Kenny, I appreciate your point of view. We all agree to disagree today, but that’s okay. And I’ve got Robert here in Michigan. Same thing. Fund Ukraine. Let me let me quickly. And I’m up against a clock here. I’m up against a hard break, Robert. But let me quickly ask you, you want to go to war with Russia?
SPEAKER 11 :
If I get a chance to elaborate, if we have to go to war with Russia, we do. But here’s the real deal. I’m the smartest person that ever called your call. I’ll tell you some stuff. There’s always been the big bad wolf at the door. The generals and admirals go to say we need this many nukes. We need the boomer submarines. We need all these bombs. The truth of the matter is Russia’s nuclear stockpile is a mess. It’s left over from the old USSR. Most of the stuff will blow up in the silos or on launch.
SPEAKER 08 :
Like I said, I’m fighting the clock on this one. Again, as smart as you are, I can’t get past your opening sentence. If we go to war with Russia, so be it.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yes, because they will surrender, because they know they cannot possibly win.
SPEAKER 08 :
I got you. We’re going to beat Russia in a war. Okay, thank you, Robert. A couple of old-timers. And look, and I say that with respect. I respect my elders, but we got a lot of older Americans are calling this show saying, hey, so be it. Let’s go to war with Russia. Okay, let’s go right ahead. We’ll beat them. Yeah, like I said, Robert, you don’t want to play that game. You’re playing a game of chicken with somebody else’s kids. Maybe your own. Maybe your grandkids. And I think there’s just people that sit around and say they never met a war, a conflict that they didn’t salivate over. So it’s a new day. 2025 is a new time. And here’s the good news. Here’s the great news. We’ve got a president, we’ve got a commander-in-chief who I believe with all of my heart is going to handle this and is going to figure this out. And that’s why we’ve got to keep praying for the Trump administration. Because we got a mess on our hands that he’s going to have to sort out. And you can tell from his actions and what he’s saying about Putin. And he is not Putin’s stooge. He is not Putin’s ally. He just doesn’t want to pick a fight with a war that your neighbor’s kids are going to have to fight.
SPEAKER 06 :

SPEAKER 09 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior, Mike Gallagher, broadcasting across hundreds of radio stations nationwide and seen on your trusted conservative TV network, Salem News Channel. Here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 08 :
I started my day talking to my buddy Mark Davis about spending too much time on my phone. I do. I’ll go down a rabbit hole. Man, I’ll spend a half hour, 45 minutes. I’ll want to go somewhere and I’ll sit down and I’ll start scrolling. My kids call it doom scrolling. One of my kids says, Dad, stop doom scrolling. And he’s right. I spend way too much time on it. But there’s so much good stuff out there and so much to deal with. So much to tackle right now. And I saw a clip of Eric Swalwell, that Trump-hating Democrat in Congress, who mocked President Trump by eating a taco. Taco is the newest pejorative, the newest name-calling they’re coming up with, the newest moniker they’re trying to hang around President Trump’s neck. TACO stands for Trump Always Chickens Out. You know, the other day, that goofball governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz, stood up and said, we got to bully the blank out of Trump. We got to get meaner and we got to bully him. Which is quite the declaration from a former teacher. Wasn’t he a coach? But now, evidently, he’s an advocate of bullying, as long as we bully the right people. And if you bully Trump, well, certainly you’ve got to bully MAGA. You’ve got to bully anybody with a red MAGA hat on or drives a Tesla or has an American flag in their yard. I mean, you know, they’re probably one of those. They’re probably a Trump supporter. So the newest trick is to call him Taco. Trump always chickens out. You stop and think about what Trump has been through as a person, just as a human being. Forget the 45th and 47th president of the United States. Incidentally, isn’t it great to see the chart of presidents and how they have to put all the pictures of the presidents? And you got Trump 45, Biden 46, and Trump 47. Isn’t that great? Nobody else has that claim, right? Maybe there’s one other. I don’t know. In the 1800s, did somebody… Grover Cleveland maybe did the same thing. So it’s Donald and Grover. So now they’re saying Trump always chickens out. I love what Joe Rogan said about Trump the other day. And it got a lot of response on this show because it was so… It was so pitch perfect.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s also like, they’re like, oh, he’s a crazy person. Like, yeah, that’s the only kind of person that would survive what you try to do to him. Right. That’s the only kind of guy that gets through. Like, you want a perfect person? A perfect person morally falls apart by the time they’ve been indicted and they’ve 34 counts, felony counts. Like, your whole body is just destroyed by the stress of you possibly going to jail for the rest of your life. You have to be a… insane person to ride that out and not look like anything even happened then you get shot you get up after you got shot you’re bleeding from your ear and you go fight fight fight you gotta be a crazy person to get through he’s a nightmare for anybody that’s trying to rig a system that guy’s the nightmare he’s the final boss of you you know they’re gonna spend the rest of time studying evaluating
SPEAKER 08 :
and dissecting this man. There’s been nobody like him in history. Nobody comes close. Newt Gingrich posted on X, So Taco, Trump always chickens out, is the newest fake smear of the man who endured an FBI-CIA smear, a two-year investigation, two impeachment efforts, a rigged 2020 election, four efforts to put him in jail, and two assassination attempts. Trump endures and prevails would be a more accurate comment. That would be T-Ape. T-E-A-P. T-E-A-P. Trump endures and prevails. The Tim Walz comment really got to me because, as Austin and Clearwater puts it, Tim Walz is one of the least intimidating… Men walking the planet. He thinks he’s going to bully the guy? Who stood up and said fight, fight, fight after he got shot? They have such rage and violent impulses with such noodle arms. It’s hilarious. I mean, it’s true. There could be a lot of it. You want taco? Here’s one from South Carolina. Taco. Trump always conquers others. That would be the right acronym. And this is what they do, though. This is what they’re left with. I’m not even going to play the stupid Eric Swalwell clip of him sitting at his desk shoving a taco in his mouth. And incidentally, mouth open. He eats with his mouth open. Food coming out of his mouth. Just gross. These people are gross. Gross. I wonder if Eric Swalwell’s getting enough fruits and vegetables in his system. Maybe he ought to consider balance in nature. Yes, even Eric Swalwell could benefit from fruits and veggies in capsule form. Fruits and vegetables in capsule form. It’s as simple as that. What happened in Boulder, Colorado was a terrorist attack. It is as simple as that. Yesterday we spent some time. wondering why Trump haters and the legacy media denied it was a terrorist attack. Jonathan Turley, the legal scholar and professor, broke it down on Fox News yesterday.
SPEAKER 05 :
This is a classic terrorism case. What the evidence shows is that there was preparation, rather deadly preparation, his intention to target people over their religion, and clearly an effort to terrorize this community. So this is a lead pipe cinch of a case for terrorism. The bringing of initial charges are often placeholders for the federal government to say that they have an outstanding charge against an individual. There’s often tension or at least some coordination between the federal government and state governments in crimes like this. There may be, frankly, less deference with regard to Boulder because it has a rather liberal record in terms of enforcement. But they have to work out together who will proceed.
SPEAKER 08 :
Look, let’s go up the dial to CNN or down the dial. Scott Jennings with a pretty profound observation about Boulder and the terrorist attack.
SPEAKER 03 :
I mean, this is horrific. And what more do we need to see, Jake, before we realize this free Palestine movement is nothing more than a domestic terror organization right now? I mean, we had the killings in Washington a couple of weeks ago. We had this issue in Colorado. We’ve seen, you know, the activities on college campuses now for months and months and months and months. The rise of anti-Semitism in America, the rise in the number of people who have come to America who hold anti-American views, anti-Western views and anti-Semitic views and are now willing to act on it. It is absolutely outrageous. And I think as a society, we need to understand we are dealing with domestic terrorism. It’s growing more violent by the day. And if we don’t deal with it, these kinds of things are going to keep happening in cities all over the place. It’s awful. And we need to come to grips with the fight that we’re in right now in America, a fight for the future of our country and the future of Western civilization, in my opinion.
SPEAKER 08 :
I wonder how bad an attack is going to have to be before the angry, violent, vicious left realizes how bad it could get for us. Fox News Channel’s Kennedy with the final word on this subject before we turn it over to you.
SPEAKER 01 :
This anti-Semitism, this malignant anti-Semitism that has taken hold and it’s deadly in this country. And when it’s not deadly, that is accidental because it is intended to take as many lives and cause as much harm as possible. And, you know, unfortunately, some of the most vocal members of the free, free Palestine movement are also very murderous. If the media turns away, are you doing it in a way that is almost complicit and fanning the flames of other hateful people who really would like to, in their own awful way, accomplish what the Nazis did during World War II at those camps?
SPEAKER 08 :
You could take another approach like Keith Olbermann or Maria Kaldon or whatever her name is on CNN. Blame Trump for Boulder. Blame Trump for the terrorist attacks. My friend Mark Davis this morning said something pretty profound. I remember years and years ago, I got in trouble. Somebody called me out because I said, not all Muslims are terrorists, but all the terrorists are Muslims. And that was true then. And that’s what we were facing. And Mark kind of coined that phrase or did a little bit of an edit on that. Not all leftists… are violent jihadists. But the violent jihadists are all leftists. And that’s what the media and the Democrats are terrified of. Where do you hear the way Mark Halperin and Sean Spicer They had a panel talking about how Democrats need to respond to the violent terrorism we’re seeing in the streets of America, fueled by the radical leftists who are all about anti-Semitism. We’ll share that with you in just a moment. Stick around for that. Our number is 800-655-MICRO in the Relief Factor studios.
