Join Mike Gallagher as he unearths the complexities surrounding the enduring Epstein controversy. As media outlets continue to chase sensational stories, the focus shifts to how these narratives influence public opinion and political landscapes. Mike navigates through the critiques leveraged against both parties, emphasizing the relentless speculation about Trump’s involvement with Epstein and how it clouds significant news on economic progress, policy reforms, and pivotal diplomatic achievements.
SPEAKER 11 :
The Mike Gallagher Show. I think what’s really gone unheralded here is the Trump administration’s emphasis on deregulation. We are making it possible to build things in America again. America is building things again. And I tell you, this is the way that countries get rich and stay rich is through long-term investment and productivity.
SPEAKER 08 :
In the ReliefFactor.com studios, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 03 :
I have this love-hate relationship with Jessica Tarloff over at The Five on Fox News. Love to hate her. I don’t hate her. I’m sure she’s a perfectly lovely person. But, boy, my blood pressure goes up about 30 points every time she’s on that show. And yesterday, Greg Gutfeld let her have it over the Epstein thing. I mean, all of this is swirling around. The media narrative now is that Trump is only using the Obama-Russia collusion story as a distraction from Epstein. Trump is in the Epstein files. The Wall Street Journal yesterday, boy, they’re piling on. Wall Street Journal said, oh, Trump is in the Epstein files. Well, he knew Epstein. Everybody who knew Epstein apparently was in the Epstein files. According to the Wall Street Journal, they all went on to say hundreds and hundreds of people are in the Epstein files. And that doesn’t mean that there’s any evidence of wrongdoing just because you knew the guy. This is not a revelation that Donald Trump knew Jeffrey Epstein. Nor is it a revelation that Bill Clinton knew Jeffrey Epstein. Or Oprah Winfrey. Or Bill Gates. I don’t know. Or the Pope, for all we know. Everybody knew the guy. But the story won’t go away. We get it. And, of course, as Greg Gutfeld pointed out yesterday on Fox News, as Jessica went on this rant about how damaging the Epstein story is to President Trump and his administration, Greg had a pretty appropriate response to all of that. He sort of let her rip.
SPEAKER 15 :
understand that this Epstein situation is very tricky for the administration. And day by day, it gets worse and worse and worse. But they are pulling out all of the greatest hits to try to inflame the minds of their most conspiracy theory addled base so that they hear Brennan, Clapper, Obama, Hillary, and they get activated. And suddenly they won’t be mad at Trump anymore for not releasing the Epstein files or whatever he had to do with any of it. I It’s preposterous that we were talking about Hillary Clinton’s emails again in year 2025.
SPEAKER 10 :
We spent years on this story. We had to take this story seriously for years, and it was false. It was. No, no, no. For people to understand what happened. All right. Because the problem with this story is that nobody knows what you’re talking about. When Trump won in 2016, the Intel community concluded that Russia didn’t have a hand in his victory instead of accepting the inclusion Obama determined and wanted. A new conclusion. So we sent Brennan running to come up with a new collusion that there was some kind of trivial involvement that then they could feed out to the media. And coincidentally, dozens of news organizations said that Trump was in bed with Putin and that somehow Brennan knew. Brennan knew. How did he know? There was no proof. There was no proof. There was no. Why did Durham do nothing? No, let me finish. They amplified a false conclusion that Trump colluded with Russia in 2016. We had to spend years dealing with that. And now we’re actually getting investigation. And you’re saying, no, you know what? You guys should just move on. You guys should just move. You say the same thing. effing thing about Biden’s brain. You guys spent four years telling us that Joe Biden was fine. You covered up for an invalid. And then when we get the truth, it’s like, oh, you know what? It’s time. We got to look forward. We got to start talking about what’s there. And you can bring up Epstein all you want. We, unlike Democrats, we can handle two things, three things, four things at once. We… Doesn’t seem like it.
SPEAKER 01 :
No.
SPEAKER 10 :
Have you been listening to the right lately? The right is more on top of Epstein than the Democrats are. The Democrats never cared about Epstein until they saw political motivation. The right was into the Epstein story because women were being sex trafficked. We actually cared. But now you’re like, oh, Epstein, a political angle. Oh, this is fantastic. Save me your selective outrage.
SPEAKER 03 :
I didn’t always like Greg Gutfeld. I guess I’ve really come around because I think that guy’s a rock star. I think he’s one of the superstars now over at Fox News. And having to deal with Jessica every day or whenever she’s on. And it makes for good TV. But he also made a whole bunch of compelling points. Isn’t he right? You can’t pretend that Republicans don’t care about Epstein. Democrats had the Epstein. Biden had the Epstein files for the entire four years of his presidency. They didn’t do anything with it. You know, I don’t know what the resolution is going to be. My hunch is we’re not going to get the satisfactory resolution we desire. I like coming into work and trying to be optimistic and share positive news with you. I do that every chance I get. They call me the happy warrior. I am a pretty happy guy. I don’t like coming to work to give you news you don’t want to hear. You’re not going to want to hear this, but you’re not going to get the big fat red bow wrapped around the Epstein story with a resolution that you want. It’s just not going to happen. It’s not going to happen. There’s a whole bunch of material that’s going to be permanently sealed. Yesterday, an Obama judge blocked the Republicans’ effort to unseal a bunch of the Epstein grand jury testimony. An Obama judge. An Obama-appointed judge here in Florida. She said her hands are tied. I mean, you know, so you think about that. Democrats like Jessica Tarloff accuse Republicans of wanting to hide and cover up the Epstein scandal. Republicans appeal to the courts to release the Epstein material, and an Obama-appointed judge blocked it from being unsealed. Explain that, Jessica. The Republicans don’t care. We do care. We do care about sex trafficking. We do care about victims. We do care about accountability. I don’t believe we’re ever going to get a satisfactory resolution. I just don’t. Let’s see if you see it differently. Find out. 800-655-MIKE, 20 minutes before the hour. Incidentally, I want to remind you about my long-form interview with Pat Boone, the 91-years-young singer, star, movie star. Pat Boone is a legend, and I’ve had the opportunity to talk to him a number of times over the years. He’s got a new project out, and he’s very much in the news because he at one time was Ozzy Osbourne’s next-door neighbor. And if you want to check out my chat with Pat about Ozzy and what he was really like, if you want to find out some of the good that Pat is doing right now, if you want to hear Pat and Mike talk a little politics, talk about where we are as a country right now, as well as all of our long-form podcasts. I don’t plug the podcast enough, and I’m very proud of our podcast. And shame on me, I get wrapped up in the day’s events and Some of my colleagues are so good. I swear, Chris DeGaulle, he plugs the Harumph Society, the podcast, Salem News Channel, Twitter, Facebook, every 30 seconds. He’s so good at it. I’m so jealous of the way he’s able to do that. And I’m just not that good, I guess. But I will remind you about the Mike Gallagher Show podcast. Take the show with you. All kinds of great highlights from the show. If you missed a compelling interview or a segment, it’s a great way to catch up. And again, we do a lot of long-form, terrific, I think compelling, unique material just for the podcast. So subscribe. Go to MikeOnline.com. Subscribe to the Mike Gallagher Show podcast wherever you download your podcasts. and I hope you’re able to check out the Pat Boone conversation because it was one of the most delightful chats I’ve had in a long, long time. Give me your take on the Epstein mess, 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453, and tell me what you think is going to happen. Tell me what you think. I mean, are you upset that they made a big reveal yesterday? Oh, Trump was in the Epstein files reportedly? No. According to the Wall Street Journal, Pam Bondi told Trump back in May he was in the files. You think that’s a newsflash to him? He knew the guy. They palled around. They were New York socialites in the 90s before any of the crimes that Epstein apparently committed were brought forward. You talk about guilt by association. I mean, where do you think the Epstein thing is going? Does it hurt Trump? I’ve got people telling me it’s absolutely hurting the Trump approval that in particular young people in independence are turning away from Trump because of Epstein. I think that’s melodramatic and not true, but let’s see what you think. 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. I hope you join us. Also, speaking of good news, a federal appeals court ruled in favor of MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell yesterday. The three-judge, eighth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel unanimously decided that an arbitration panel that was ordering Mike Lindell to pay some guy $5 million, exceeded its power and authority, and has been overturned. Mike has just received a huge victory, and he does not have to fork over $5 million to this tech guy who claimed that Mike owed him that as a result of Mike’s cyber symposium. SPEAKER 08 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior, Mike Gallagher, broadcasting across hundreds of radio stations nationwide and seen on your trusted conservative TV network, Salem News Channel. Here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 03 :
I am by nature a pretty positive person, I think. I don’t like to think I’m angry as a rule. I’m not typically an angst-ridden individual. But I got so mad yesterday in watching the news cycle over this Infernal Epstein story that I made a decision about the direction of this show. And I think it happened from… one of my trusted colleagues, who kept putting a graphic up on the screen of the Salem News Channel platform that airs the Mike Gallagher show every day that said, the Epstein story will not go away. It’s not going away, said the graphic. And I got to thinking about that graphic. Obviously, as your host, I determine what we… Cover on this show. Put a lot of work into it. I have to admit, and I’m not whining, I don’t exactly work in a sweatshop, but we put a lot of hours into this show. There was a time when we’d spend maybe an hour or two on show prep. Now I can honestly say show prep lasts morning, noon, and night. I’m pulling stuff off the internet and articles and video clips. at 8 o’clock at night and sending it to the team, 6 o’clock in the morning. It never stops. And yesterday, the big breaking news story was how the Wall Street Journal uncovered a big scoop. Oh, it was terrible. This is it. It’s all over now. Get ready, President J.D. Vance. The walls are closing in this time. They got Trump now. What’s the bombshell? Pam Bondi reportedly told Trump back in May he was in the Epstein files. And that’s the bombshell. And the media ran with it. David Muir, ABC, World News Tonight, breaking now. It’s reported that Trump knew he was in the Epstein. How did Trump not know he was in the Epstein files if it was reported via pictures and videos and everything else? that Trump and Epstein knew each other. They socialized. They were in each other’s orbit. Apparently, just like Bill Clinton, and I guess Oprah or Bill Gates, go down the list, he had an office key and his own office at Harvard University for years. Epstein did. The whole story is a rabbit hole. And as I got frustrated and as I got flustered by screaming at the TV saying, this is not a bit, what’s the big story? Common sense tells all of us, if the Democrats and the Biden administration administration, which had the Epstein files for the whole time that Joe Biden was president, if there was anything incriminating about Donald Trump in there, you don’t think they want to run with it? I mean, they only tried to lock him up for 90 years. They arrested him a gazillion times. They claim that he possessed classified documents. They claim that he hid business expenses and did accounting shenanigans over the supposed Stormy Daniels thing. You think if Trump had done something criminal and was in the Epstein files, the Democrats wouldn’t have run with that prior to the election? Of course they would have. You know they would have. And they didn’t because there’s nothing there. Well, you know what? If there’s nothing there, there’s nothing there. And I’ve made an executive decision. This is the last time we’re talking about Epstein. I’m just done with it. I mean, if something relevant breaks that means something to you and me, fine. But what are we going to talk about now? Trump was in the files? So what? So’s Oprah, apparently. The Wall Street Journal bombshell included the little-noticed observations that hundreds of prominent people were in the Epstein files. For some reason, the Wall Street Journal didn’t think it important to publish all of their names. No, no, no, just Trump, right? Because it’s Trump. And the Wall Street Journal article included the line, being listed or named in the files is no indication of wrongdoing. Oh, really? But of course, nobody wants to pay attention to that, because if you hate Trump, you want him destroyed any way possible. You know what? Time to turn the page. There are crucial things facing this country right now. There’s incredible news on the jobs front. I was listening to Tara this morning in South Carolina. on 98.9 WORD, she was talking about the incredible good news about Native American citizen jobs, Americans born here, and how the job’s growth has swung in the favor of American citizens and away from foreigners. Yesterday, Columbia University bent the knee and submitted to Donald Trump, and they’re going to pay over $200 million in a giant settlement for their rank anti-Semitism. The stock market is roaring. The border is closed. A trade deal has been struck with a major trading partner of ours, Japan. And yes, more and more is being revealed about the Obama administration and these bums, these rats, Brennan and Comey and even Barack Obama over the phony Russia collusion hoax. A hoax that was intended to cripple the Trump presidency. A hoax that was designed… to thwart and overturn the will of the American people. That, to me, matters more. I hate the thought of powerful people getting away with doing terrible things to children. I hate the thought of these victims on Epstein Island. Jeffrey Epstein is dead. His procurer is behind bars. I guess they’re going to talk to her. Okay, fine. But to me, this is by design one of the biggest distractions we’ve seen in a long time. I am ending the gossip. I am putting a finality. It’s done. I’m finished with sitting around wringing our hands. Over the Epstein controversy. Now, you may agree or disagree. It’s okay. Let me know. 800-655-MIKE. I don’t do this stuff in a vacuum. But I have a hunch that the vast majority of this audience, the vast majority of people in this audience will be just fine with my decision. Because this is it. We’re done. We’re done here. All it’s designed to do is distract and to smear and to hurt Donald Trump. And we’re used to it by now. This has been going on for years. So, look, all they’ve got is their attempt to get back into power. That’s all the Democrats have. They didn’t say a word about Epstein when Biden was president. Greg Gutfeld pointed that out last night on The Five to Jessica Tarloff, and we were all standing up and screaming and cheering for him. I’ll share with you that clip. And when I play that clip, that’ll be it. We’re going to put a lid on it. Because nothing good is going to come out of this. Nothing satisfying is going to come as a result. There will not be the resolution that people want. And I’m tired of giving them the distraction they want. I’m tired of participating in the smear that they want performed. I’m not doing it anymore. 800-655-6453 will get your reaction. I hope you join us here on this Thursday episode of the Mike Gallagher Show in the Relief Factor Studios. I also hope you’ll consider Tritails because it’s summertime. Have you been grilling steaks out on the grill? I discovered Tritails beef. We’re partnering with our friends at the nonprofit relief agency, Food for the Poor, and rushing emergency relief kits to these flood-ravaged part of the world. 128 people confirmed dead. Many, many more are still missing. As you know, President Trump and the First Lady visited the flood zone in Texas over the weekend. As you can hear, he was pretty emotional. You can hear in the sound of his voice about what he witnessed. They lost their child or two children and children.
SPEAKER 10 :
Just hard to believe what, I’ve never seen anything like it.
SPEAKER 03 :
A little narrow river that becomes a monster. Now, as the president observed, we’re all grieving. There’s been such a terrible loss of life. Entire communities are still being impacted. There are flooded out homes. There are closed businesses. And there are many still displaced. And they desperately need your help. Now, there is… a Help Texas banner on my website, mikeonline.com, where you can make a secure online donation. Please help us rush emergency relief kits to Texas. These kits contain tarps, hygiene items, diapers, children’s activity materials, and other essentials needed to ease the crisis for these poor people. Food for the Poor, in coordination with a trusted partner in San Antonio, has responded to the central Texas flooding. Nobody responds like the Mike Gallagher audience. Right now, already $13,000 in the first day or two of donations have come in. We have sort of an unofficial goal of $40,000. In my heart of hearts, we’ll soar past that goal. Let’s support our fellow Americans. Let’s support the Texans who have been through so much. Please go to mikeonline.com and click on the Help Texas banner. You can also phone in your donation, and a lot of people do that. Just call 844-860-HOPE. That’s 844-860-4673. Thank you for supporting these poor families who’ve been through so much. Let’s get emergency relief kits to as many people as we can, and let’s make sure that the Mike Gallagher Show once again is the torchbearer. the leader in sending as many materials as possible to these poor people. Again, you can go to MikeOnline.com and click on the Help Texas banner or call 844-860-HOPE, 844-860-4673. Tyler’s in Delaware. Tyler, welcome.
SPEAKER 07 :
The Mike Gallagher Show. The Democrats are piling on now, but only to pillory Trump. Oh, why do you say that? Maybe they care about… No, they don’t. They had their chance. They released nothing. They never brought it up. It was never interesting until now because it’s bad for Trump.
SPEAKER 08 :
In the Relief Factor studios on Salem News Channel and Salem Radio Network, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 03 :
Chris Cuomo is right. Time to turn the page. Time to open up the book and dive into what the Department of National Intelligence is revealing about Obama, about a massive corruption, an actual effort to commit a coup. against the Trump administration. Here was Tulsi Gabbard yesterday, a pretty astounding press conference, and I posted on X, and I hope you follow us on X, at Gallagher Show. We like to engage there as well. Every day, every morning that I visit with Mark Davis, we always stream the Eminem experience. That’s kind of fun to get people’s feedback on that. And then we always try to be pretty proactive on X. And I’m kind of, I posted yesterday that Caroline Leavitt is a rock star. She shot down Caitlin Collins from CNN. It was so good. It was such a great exchange. I mean, this Caroline Leavitt, she is, how old is she? She’s 26, 27 years old. and just completely dominated the press conference. Caitlin Collins from CNN was trying to bait her and bait Tulsi Gabbard, and Caroline shut her down. And Caroline, you know, at the press conference yesterday with Tulsi Gabbard’s announcement, shared that Obama knew the Russia collusion story was a hoax all along.
SPEAKER 01 :
The new evidence released by the Director of National Intelligence, who is here with me today, confirms that the Obama administration manufactured politicized intelligence, which was later used as the justification for baseless smears against President Trump in an effort to try to delegitimize his victory before he even took the oath of office. The truth is that President Trump never had anything to do with Russia, and the Russia collusion hoax was a massive fraud perpetuated on the American people from the very beginning. And the worst part of this is Obama knew that truth, and so did all of the other corrupt officials involved in this scam, including former CIA Director John Brennan, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former FBI Director James Comey, former Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, and many others. Director of National Intelligence Gabbard’s report further confirms what we already knew. There was no collusion, no corruption, except on the part of Barack Obama and the weaponized intelligence agencies at the time.
SPEAKER 03 :
So the bottom line is, this is what matters. This is enormous. Don’t be fooled by the mainstream media trying to pretend it’s not enormous. Don’t make that mistake. Don’t let their indifference fool you. Here was Tulsi Gabbard, the Director of National Intelligence, explaining at the press conference that Obama is being referred to the Department of Justice for possible criminal activity.
SPEAKER 13 :
Do you believe that any of this new information implicates former President Obama in criminal behavior? We have referred and will continue to refer all of these documents to the Department of Justice and the FBI to investigate the criminal implications of this. The evidence that we have found and that we have released directly point to President Obama leading the manufacturing of this intelligence assessment. There are multiple pieces of evidence and intelligence that confirm that fact.
SPEAKER 03 :
So at the end of the day, Let’s just focus in like a laser here on this conspiracy as alleged by the government. That the President of the United States, according to documents that have been declassified, President Obama directed Clapper and Brennan to manufacture a phony narrative. Here was Tulsi Gabbard last night with Jesse Waters explaining this on Fox News Channel.
SPEAKER 13 :
And we were able to discover these documents and find these documents that really pointed to President Obama directing his national security leaders in James Clapper and John Brennan to manufacture this January 2017 intelligence community assessment. The report we released today, line by line, goes through it. dissecting and debunking the knowing falsehoods and lies that were included in that assessment with the specific intent to undermine the legitimacy of President Trump, to subvert the will of the American people who had just voted to elect Donald Trump in 2016, and to, in essence, launch this years-long coup against President Trump that lasted throughout the four years of his administration back in 2016.
SPEAKER 03 :
Now, just so you know how panicked the legacy media is over all of this, did you hear what CNN did yesterday over this epic press conference? They cut away from it. And in fact, I think they were so embarrassed that they were ordered to cut away from the press conference that CNN’s chief national affairs correspondent, Jeff Zeleny, sort of apologetically explained why they cut away.
SPEAKER 09 :
We have no idea. I mean, this is hardly information that we should even be repeating. Never mind that it’s some years after the fact, eight years more than that after the fact, but also just to look at the source. But look, this is what this White House wants to talk about, and I’m not sure that we should spend that much more time on it, frankly. Right.
SPEAKER 03 :
So you should move on because the director of national intelligence doesn’t matter and is not newsworthy. I mean, CNN is so pathetic that, I mean, they could carry it and then they could get their panelists. You could get your Ana Navarros and you could get your Wolf Blitzers and you could get all your normal cast of characters over there to denounce it. But they’re not even going to carry it. Because as the chief national affairs correspondent said, I’m not sure this is even anything we should be repeating. Now, they’re not repeating anything. They’re carrying a press conference. And they bailed out of it because it got so uncomfortable for them. Because guess what? They’re in on it. The legacy media is part of this conspiracy. The legacy media had to go along with Obama and Brenner and Comey and Clapper. They carried the water for these corrupt clowns. So there’s CNN. Well, we’ve got to cut away. Wow. My gosh. Tell me what you think. 800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453. This is a huge story. And incidentally, the issue has come up about presidential immunity for Barack Obama. It’s likely in place. I respect John Solomon from Just the News. John appeared on Fox News to confirm that Obama is indeed president. likely protected by the recent Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity.
SPEAKER 02 :
Who is likely to be held accountable, and do you believe there’ll be indictments at the end of the process?
SPEAKER 12 :
We’ll see. We’ve been promised a lot of indictments for years. It’ll depend whether they bring a conspiracy. It depends where they bring it. Is it brought in Florida where Jack Smith was? Did they bring it in D.C. where John Durham failed? Those are big questions still to be settled. But Pam, Bonnie took a major step forward today in treating this as a real criminal case. Barack Obama will not be indicted. The immunity ruling that President Trump will protect him. But he could one day be named as an unindicted co-conspirator among some of the other people who are involved in this. That’s something to watch for.
SPEAKER 03 :
And the other thing to watch for is whether or not Obama’s legacy gets destroyed. And that, to me, would be the conclusion that he deserves if all of this is true. If Barack Obama was deceiving the American people and trying to thwart and overturn the rightful outcome of an election, if Barack Obama and his team were intentionally crippling the Trump administration because they didn’t like the fact that the American people wanted Donald Trump, then his legacy needs to be destroyed forever. SPEAKER 08 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior. Mike Gallagher. Broadcasting across hundreds of radio stations nationwide. And seen on your trusted conservative TV network. Salem News Channel. Here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 03 :
A lot of breaking news today. Of course, Tulsi Gabbard maintains that evidence points directly to the Obama administration and, in fact, to Barack Obama himself over this phony Russia collusion story, which could go down in history as one of the biggest scandals in the history of the country. Makes Watergate look like a walk in the park. Yesterday was the victim impact witness statement’s. before that monster Brian Kohlberger, that fiend, that demon, who, for whatever reason, and we may never know, snuck into the house of those college kids in Idaho and slaughtered four of them. It was so bad that one of the victims was apparently unrecognizable. Her face was so badly butchered. and bashed by this madman. I mean, this guy, and I watched this yesterday, just the face of sheer evil. And I had a little bit of a disagreement with my friend Mark Davis this morning when I did the hit with him on his show in Dallas. Mark said, look, I know I’m being a little bit of a devil’s advocate here, but let’s face it, these victim impact statements are largely performative. It’s kind of theater, you know? It’s just sort of, well, it might feel satisfying, but why do it? Is it really that meaningful? One of the victim impact statements came from the mother of one of the girls who was slaughtered by Kohlberger, and she quoted a message that from her daughter’s younger sister. Now, this is edgy. It’s PG-13. I’m not going to explain it, obviously. If you know, you know. If you don’t, that’s fine. But it was one of those weirdos. Wow moments as the families tore into this guy for hours as he sat there in his orange jumpsuit, clenching his teeth and blinking his eyes, but saying nothing as the family let him really let him have it.
SPEAKER 16 :
Quick message from our youngest daughter. Aubrey wanted to say. You may have received A’s in high school and college, but you’re going to be getting big D’s in prison.
SPEAKER 03 :
So, there were scathing moments like that for hours and hours where the sister, the one girl, was so powerful and so just raw. Her name is… Alvina Gonsalves, she’s the sister of one of the victims. And, again, face-to-face with this killer who admitted to doing this. And it was really something. I’ve never seen anything like this.
SPEAKER 14 :
Lurking in the shadows made you feel powerful because no one ever paid you any attention in the light. You thought you were exceptional, all because of a grade on a paper. You thought you were elite because your online IQ test from 2010 told you so. All of that effort just to seem important. It’s desperate. There is a name for your condition, though. Your inflated ego just didn’t allow you to see it. Wannabe. You act like no one could ever understand your mind, but the truth is you’re basic. You’re a textbook case of insecurity disguised as control. Your patterns are predictable. Your motives are shallow. You are not profound. You’re pathetic. You aren’t special or deep, not mysterious or exceptional. Don’t ever get it twisted again. No one is scared of you today. No one is intimidated by you. No one is impressed by you. No one thinks that you are important. You orchestrated this like you thought you were God. Now look at you, begging a courtroom for scraps. You spent months preparing, and still all it took was my sister and a sheath. You worked so hard to seem dangerous. But real control doesn’t have to prove itself.
SPEAKER 03 :
I’m so glad the family had the chance to let this fiend, this scum, this cowardly killer have it because he’s not going to get the death penalty. He struck a plea deal with the prosecutor. I’ll never understand why. The plea deal included the opportunity for him never to have to explain why he did it. I’ll never understand why. But I am thankful for victim impact statements. And I have to tell you that this was the kind of closure that the families deserved. And I was surprised at my friend Mark Davis’s reaction to this this morning. He said, well, it’s kind of performative. It’s like a therapy session. Should it really be part of our system? Absolutely. And let me explain why. I wish I had had the benefit of this text when I was talking with Mark about it this morning. But somebody texted me from Indiana, and I will read this text verbatim. My fiancé was murdered exactly 19 years ago yesterday by the so-called I-65 sniper in Indiana. When I gave my victim impact statement, it was the most cathartic thing I had ever done in my life. It didn’t bring my loved one back, but the murderer knew exactly how I felt about him, and that helped in the healing process. That’s why we have victim impact statements, to allow families the ability to heal, to give them a chance to to tell the horrific human being, the hell-bound demon, how they feel about him. And there’s nothing wrong with the victim impact statement. And I’m glad that Brian Kohlberger got his fill of it. One of the fathers told reporters later that he made eye contact with Kohlberger He said he was filled with rage. He could see it in his eyes. He was clenching his teeth. It was a miserable experience. And may we never, ever hear about this guy again. May he rot behind bars for the rest of his miserable, cowardly, evil life. I was intrigued by something I read about this case last night. There’s one of his… cellmates or somebody with him in the prison said he’s a real creep, he’s a freak, he washes his hands obsessively all day long and spends an hour or more in the shower, and he spends hours a day video chatting with his mother. Now, think about that for a moment. First of all, why would a prisoner get that I hope that’s not true, but I think it is accurate that he spends hours FaceTiming with his mom. Now, there’s a few things here. I often struggle with this. I have four kids. They’ve had highs and lows in their life. They’ve made mistakes in their life. None of us are perfect. Would you be able to spend hours and hours a day talking to your son who slaughtered four innocent college students? People would say, ah, it’s my son. Yeah, but your son is the devil. Do you talk to your… I know that Jeffrey Dahmer’s father always maintained a good relationship with his son. Perhaps a mother… has an ability to say, well, my son is just sick. He’s sick in the head. And I still love him. I don’t know. I really struggle with that. I sure hope none of us are ever put in that position. But can you imagine talking to your son every day, knowing that he did what he did? And second of all, why would the corrections department allow… a Jack the Ripper, you know, monstrous multiple killer like that, why would they give him the opportunity to talk to his mama for hours a day on FaceTime? You want to get upset about the system? Forget the victim impact statement. How about giving a prisoner the ability to have that kind of contact with a family member? Lock him up and throw away the key. Stick him in a miserable cell and give him three square meals a day and call it a day. You’re going to let him talk to his mom? Ugh. How gross is that? That’s grotesque. To me, that’s inconceivable. 800-655-MIKE is our number, 800-655-6453 in the Relief Factor studios for a Thursday. It’s great to have you along for the ride. SPEAKER 06 :
Whenever Mike calls me, I figure they want to see something important, something in the industry, something in our company, something we need to know about, something we need to discuss, or something big in the news, or something that means a lot to him. And both of those were the case yesterday. And I want to let you have a shot at this. This is about 15, 20 seconds of this, because from your direction, and I value your direction in… immersing myself in things that I’m just not paying as much attention. You were fresh off watching the victim impact statements in the Koberger case. Here’s like 15 seconds. One of those beautiful, beautiful kids murdered by this monster was Kaylee Goncalves. Here is her dad right to his face in court yesterday. You were that careless, that foolish, that stupid.
SPEAKER 10 :
Master degree. You’re a joke.
SPEAKER 06 :
And many, many more people saying many, many more things.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, in fact, all these families lined up, and basically every single person managed. This took hours. Every single person. By the way, before we continue, can I remind everybody, because we haven’t talked about this for a while, thanks to the great efforts of Christian Russell on our team, we stream every one of the Eminem experiences live on X. So if you follow us at Gallagher Show, you’ll get to see the wild, gesticulating facial expressions of Mark Davis. You’ll see Mike’s earphone cord pop out as he looks at me stunned as if I’m not saying anything. I’ll have a John Kennedy moment once in a while where I just freeze up. Did you see that, by the way? No.
SPEAKER 06 :
The Louisiana Senator?
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, my gosh.
SPEAKER 06 :
One of the funniest, wisest, quickest guys. What happened to him?
SPEAKER 03 :
He’s given an interview to Fox News the other day, and I guess he had an IFB pop out or whatever. Well, he stops talking, and it looks like a Mitch McConnell moment. He just froze. And everybody thought, uh-oh, John Kennedy is in his 70s. Is he freezing? It was a technical thing. These things happen. But anyway, I want to remind you, because it’s fun to watch as well as listen to it. So if you’re by a computer or your smartphone, you want to watch the Eminem Experience. We stream it live every single day at Gallagher’s show. If you were half the man you used to be, Mark, you’d post it on your thing, too.
SPEAKER 06 :
I’m retweeting it right now. Get off my back.
SPEAKER 03 :
Golly Moses, man. Because you’ve got more popularity there than I do. At Mark Davis or at Gallagher Show. Freshly retweeted. There you go. Everybody can watch us now from the magic right now. You can see our snarly faces at each other. So anyway, basically every single family member for hours sat there and ripped into this monster. This is a case that absolutely fascinates me. It’s so ghastly. Last night, now that he’s been sentenced to four consecutive life terms, they released a lot of the details that they had not released previously. One of the young ladies was so badly butchered, her face was left unrecognizable. They didn’t even know who she was. this is what this monster did to these four kids, and I want to know why. I want to understand this. They revealed that he had no connection to them whatsoever. This is the absolute, typical, quintessential boogeyman story. He targeted these kids. There were six of them in the house. Two of the others… kind of slept through it. Because they were ripped out of their minds. I know. Alcohol played a big role in all this. I suspect, and I don’t want to disparage the dead, college kids drink, so it’s not really a disparagement, but I suspect that the reason he overpowered the four kids that he killed because they were drunk. They were all drunk, and I think, I guess, because the boy was 6’4″. I mean, he’s a strong, big guy, and yet he was overtaken by this guy.
SPEAKER 06 :
If somebody is stabbing you in your sleep, maybe your response is not as crisp as it might otherwise be. But don’t you think five other people might be able to come to your rescue?
SPEAKER 03 :
It’s a weird story on every level, Mark, but here’s what people felt was closure. One of the messages, and I put a lot of thought into whether we should air this. I got approval from the company to air it. You know, it’s obviously, this is PG-13, but one of the families died. youngest daughters the young sister of one of the murder victims wanted to relay a message through her mother during the victim impact statement uh and and you got a picture kohlberger is sitting there the whole time kind of clenching his teeth just staring at them blinking at them in his orange jumpsuit but here was what the mother said is uh is going to be brian kohlberger’s life now that he’s going to be spending the rest of it in prison quick message from our youngest daughter
SPEAKER 16 :
Aubrey wanted to say, you may have received A’s in high school and college, but you’re going to be getting big D’s in prison.
SPEAKER 03 :
Wow. Now, no commentary needed there, but there’s no need to even analyze that. But nonetheless, that’s how it went for hours. One said, if my sister hadn’t been overpowered by you in the middle of the night, like the pedophile you are, she would have kicked your ass. Blanking blank.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yep, yep. All right, a word about this, and it is the kind of counterintuitive thing that people have come to expect in our get-together. Two things. I have, over the years, absorbed a lot of victim impact statements, and there’s a visceral level at which I love it. I mean, the loved ones cannot be brought back, but if these people can just… If you eviscerate him and tear him limb from limb rhetorically with their words there in the courtroom, who would deny them that there is something that is gutturally satisfying about it? I get it. I get it. I get it. and yet I don’t know why we do it. It is pure theater. It achieves nothing judicially. It’s closure for the families. This might be devil’s advocate, which I say I don’t do, but maybe this is it. The sentence is closure. You know, the closure I wanted was him executed, and the government cut a deal so that we don’t have a big trial. The trial would have been painful, and I guess who am I to not be okay with something that I guess is okay. You know what, though? Trials and verdicts and things like this, they’re not for victims’ families alone. In fact, they’re not for victims’ families first and foremost. They’re for the public.
SPEAKER 03 :
Justice is for society.
SPEAKER 06 :
Doesn’t society deserve to see this guy executed? This is wholly unsatisfying to know that this monster will get three hots on a cot for decades.
SPEAKER 03 :
I know. And he’ll do book deals, and he’ll do a movie deal, and he’ll give an interview.
SPEAKER 06 :
But he won’t make a dime, because I think that’ll all go away.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I don’t care what he makes. He’s going to try to stay relevant, whereas if he got the needle, he wouldn’t. Correct.
SPEAKER 06 :
And so help me be more okay than I am with victim impact statements. I guess it’s just a bone we throw to people. It is not… It’s just pure theater.
SPEAKER 03 :
No, it’s not pure theater. Stop saying that. It’s way more than theater. Help me. Because, look, this guy got away with not having to even speak a full sentence. The most he’s ever said now in court is, I respectfully decline. That’s all he has said. He hasn’t spoken. He hasn’t had any interaction with these families. They have not been able to tell him off. The one father said, I would love to just lunge across the table and go at you right now. I love five minutes.
SPEAKER 06 :
You’re pathetic and you thought you were so smart.
SPEAKER 03 :
But it’s not for us. But it’s not for us, Mark. It doesn’t matter if you love it or not. It’s what the Father appreciated.
SPEAKER 06 :
But is that what our system is about?
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 06 :
Giving grieving people an opportunity to get their ya-ya’s out in public.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes. Yeah, absolutely. Why not? Give them that. Give them that much. In fact, many of the families gave interviews afterwards saying, yes, now I feel I was able to tell him off. I was able to let him know what a piece of scum he is. And one of the fathers said, I made eye contact with him. He was enraged at having to go through that. I know. Clearly is some kind of a psychopath, sociopath, narcissist. He thought he didn’t have to have any account. This was accountability to some degree, Mark. It was.
SPEAKER 06 :
And I’m a fan of accountability, obviously. And there is a certain street justice accountability to mouthing off to this guy. So you’re right.
SPEAKER 03 :
I will suspend.
SPEAKER 06 :
And it’s not that I’m not trying to do away with victim impact. There’s just always been something about it where I kind of went, eh.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, it’s a little bit, and I’ll play devil’s advocate too, although I do disagree with you, but it’s almost like I’ve always felt that way about the perp walk. The perp walk is pure theater. When they take somebody, well, but why? Why do they do it?
SPEAKER 06 :
I guess it’s like, it’s visibility, it’s transparency. It’s the same thing.
SPEAKER 03 :
It’s accountability. Look at this bad guy. But many of the perp walks are conducted on innocent people. There are innocent people who’ve had to go through a perp walk.
SPEAKER 06 :
Who’s the best example? Who’s the best innocent perp walking?
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, I was just thinking about the Russia collusion thing. Look at what they did to Peter Navarro. They arrested him, put him in shackles in the airport. Roger Stone, they’ve done perp walks to innocent people. 100%.
SPEAKER 06 :
So the other thing is, and here’s a question you have and I have, we all have, I want to know why he did this. What was his motivation? What was that? You’ll never get it because there is no such answer coming. Evil exists and it doesn’t explain itself always.
SPEAKER 03 :
But he had a reason. How do you know and what might it be? Everybody has a reason to do something. Something compelled him to say, I’m going to sneak into this house in the middle of the night and butcher these kids. And I want to know what it is. There is a devil.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, I know that.
SPEAKER 03 :
He is the devil.
SPEAKER 06 :
He’s evil. There are dark forces. They exist. And when they manifest themselves, and in all of us, this is a little theological, but all of us have to have our shields up at all times to keep… the enemy from tempting us to cheat on our taxes or cheat on our wives or steal a candy bar.
SPEAKER 03 :
But if you cheat on your taxes, you can say, why did you do that? Well, I wanted to save money because I owed money and I wanted to buy a house. I want a reason. I want to know why. You don’t just go into a house and say, now I’m going to slaughter these four kids. Evil takes many shapes. And he’s described as an incel. That’s a popular phrase now.
SPEAKER 06 :
Involuntary celibate.
SPEAKER 03 :
Involuntary celibate. He was rejected by women. He hated women. He hated young. There was one of the girls that he particularly butchered. He stabbed her over 50 times, evidently. Was she the target? And the others were secondary collateral damage. That’s what I want to know in his twisted mind. I totally understand.
SPEAKER 06 :
And I just don’t know if that answer will, in some cases, that answer will. I remember the Darlie Routier case in the 90s where the woman butchered her kids.
SPEAKER 03 :
I know. Susan Smith. Right.
SPEAKER 06 :
Drove into a lake in South Carolina. Drove the kids into the lake in South Carolina. But here’s the thing. Evil exists. And sometimes that’s the only answer you’ll get.
SPEAKER 03 :
Let’s go back to your point. I had a great conversation with one of my favorite people in the world, Pat Boone, the legendary singer, philanthropist. Pat is 91 years young. He’s in better shape than you and I. Pat and I talked about a philanthropic effort he’s involved in right now. There’s a new song out that he’s done to benefit kids. who need well water in tanzania but here’s what he and i talked about a lot of things we talked about politics you know he is not a liberal democrat i love the love me some pat boone and he and i talked about the the ongoing conflict between good and evil in all of our lives and how the left he even acknowledged it the left doesn’t like to identify evil they don’t think evil exists We know it does. By the way, if you want to see this and hear this great chat with him, we spent a half hour. Pat Boone, it’s the latest Mike Gallagher Show podcast. Check it out, mikeonline.com.
SPEAKER 06 :
Do you know what Pat would have bent your ear about for a few minutes yesterday? What he would have been what? What Pat Boone would have been.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, we talked about Ozzy Osbourne. He was Ozzy Osbourne’s next-door neighbor.
SPEAKER 06 :
And it was his theme. It was his, you know, going off the rails on a crazy train. It was his song. Because he did, Pat Boone did a 90s-ish album called In a Metal Mood. That’s right. Where Pat brought his, you know, hey, everybody, to a lot of metal songs. It was hilarious. That’s right. But catchy as all get-out. and just a wonderful, wonderful man.
SPEAKER 03 :
And he explained that he wasn’t the prince. Ozzie, as his next-door neighbor, he says, I can confirm, he was not the prince of darkness. That was a shtick. That was his act. He was the prince of kindness. And I saw reports yesterday that he has accepted Christ as his Savior prior to his passing, which is the best news of all. But check out my conversation with Pat Boone, mikeonline.com, the Mike Gallagher Show long-form podcast.
SPEAKER 06 :
You know what we just did? So we asked everybody to watch us and see if you’re watching or listening. Here is something that will happen. Mike and I will launch into something. We will bog down deliciously for 10 to 12 minutes and say precisely nothing about the top news of the day, which is Tulsi and Obamagate. That’s why God made tomorrow. We’ll be fine. Oh, no, we’ll get to it all.
SPEAKER 03 :
We’re going to get to all of this.
SPEAKER 06 :
And on your own show. Your own show, obviously, will be festooned with details on that. But every once in a while on Eminem, it is about us and stuff we care about.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, I mean, sometimes you’ve got to take a break from all the other gloom and doom and talk about stuff. We haven’t even gotten to the Jacksonville police arrest. Let’s try to do that tomorrow, too. Let’s do it.
SPEAKER 06 :
story all right happy thursday my happy thursday and mike is ready to go with more time where you can cover all the stuff that needs to be covered 10 o’clock soon as we’re done right here on 660 am for full shows live and on demand it’s salem news channel
