(Worthy News) – U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced that its Houston division arrested 414 illegal immigrants in 2025 who were charged with or convicted of child sex crimes.
According to ICE, the suspects are linked to 761 child sex offenses and 525 additional crimes, including robbery and homicide. The arrests were carried out by ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Houston office.
Officials noted the number of arrests is nearly double the 211 offenders arrested during the final year of the previous administration.
Among those arrested were individuals from Honduras, Mexico, El Salvador, and Colombia who had been convicted of crimes including aggravated sexual assault of a minor, sexual indecency with a child, failure to register as a sex offender, and possession of child sexual abuse material.
ERO Houston Acting Field Office Director Gabriel Martinez said the arrests removed “dangerous child predators” from local communities, adding that the operation helps protect families across Southeast Texas.
The arrests are part of a broader immigration enforcement effort by the Trump administration, which the Department of Homeland Security says has resulted in more than 3 million illegal immigrants removed from the United States since early 2025.
