Tanner’s Tumultuous Picks Week15

tanners-picks-wk-14-horiz-2

Tanner is a staff writer and producer. He lives in Denver and is an avid sports fan. He enjoys running, classic music, and hanging out with friends

We went 11-2 for Week 15! 😳

Editor’s note — This is getting ridiculous, at this point we’re wondering if Tanner has a deal with the devil or something…

We went 11-2 last week, and there were some interesting results!

To kick off the week we had a barn-burner between the Packers and Lions. The Lions have now had two straight one-score wins.

It may seem like they are getting a little too comfortable atop the NFC.

The Eagles barely held on to beat the rising Panthers.

The Saints versus Giants game was mostly uneventful until the final few minutes when the Giants had a chance to take the game into overtime but missed the tying field goal.

The Chiefs won another one-score game! Which really grinds my gears and I’m sure you too Broncos’ fans.

The Bills vs Rams game was one of the best of the year with the Rams winning 44-42.

The Seahawks established a one game lead in their division, and essentially removed the Cardinals from playoff contention. The Seahawks have won four straight including two wins against the Cardinals and a win against the 49ers.

And, what a debacle from the Cowboys to end up losing that game!

Let’s see what we like for Week 15 of the NFL:

rams
49ers

Rams @ 49ers (-2.5): Thurs. 6:15p – The 49ers finally looked like the 49ers, granted they were playing the Bears. The Rams got a crucial win in an exhilarating match up against the Buffalo Bills. The 49ers have to win this game if they want to make the playoffs, and with their depleted roster I don’t see them winning against a red-hot Rams team. Rams win 28-24

chiefs
browns

Chiefs (-4.5) @ Browns: Sun. 11:00a– The Chiefs should be able to win this game by two touchdowns, but with how inconsistent their offense has been and how poor their defense was against the Panthers, who knows!

Jameis has at least made Browns’ games exciting and gives them a better chance of winning then Deshaun Watson did.

Chiefs win 27-20

bengals
titans

Bengals (-5) @ Titans: Sun. 11:00a – The Bengals are one of the most fun teams to watch.

The offense is having an excellent year, but their defense gives up too many points, big plays, and penalties.

Will Levis has looked slightly better, but not strong enough to outscore the Bengals. Bengals win 31-24

commanders
saints

Commanders (-7) @ Saints: Sun. 11:00a – The Commanders just came off a bye, so they should be fresh and healthier.

The Saints technically still have a chance to win the division at 5-8, but that seems unlikely being two games behind the Buccaneers.

The Bucs do play the Chargers this weekend, so the door could be open with a Saints’ win.

The former brown paper bag team has won three of their last four games.

I still like a Commanders’ win 33-20

ravens
giants

Ravens (-14.5) @ Giants: Sun. 11:00a – The NFL should just give the Giants’ a loss and let the teams stay healthy.

The Giants are tanking for a quarterback. The coaching staff is still fighting to have their current jobs for next year, but the team is terrible.

The Ravens will win, by who knows how much.

Ravens win 38-13

cowboys
panthers

Cowboys @ Panthers (-2.5): Sun. 11:00aBryce Young has looked solid and the Panthers for the first time in almost two years are a favorite going into an NFL game.

The Cowboys had won two straight and maybe had a sliver of a chance to make the playoffs, but that was wiped out last week.

You could feel the energy get sucked out of Jerry’s World when that blocked punt turned into a first down for the Bengals.

Micah Parsons was visibly frustrated and the whole world watched. I almost feel bad for Cowboys’ fans, but Jerry Jones created this mess and has been incentivizing it for decades.

Cowboys win 27-24

jets
jaguars

Jets (-3.5) @ Jaguars: Sun. 11:00a – This game will only hurt which ever team wins for the upcoming NFL draft.

Both teams are struggling. The Jags have lost Trevor Lawrence for the season and Mac Jones will be QB1.

I think the Jets will win but who really cares?? Jets winning games when they are already eliminated for the playoffs will only hurt them in the upcoming draft, pushing them farther back in the draft order.

Jets win 24-17

dolphins
texans

Dolphins @ Texans (-2.5): Sun 11:00a– The Texans are still struggling on offense, while the Dolphins’ offense has excelled with Tua back.

The Texans still haven’t secured their division and if they lost the division, a Wild Card spot isn’t guaranteed.

The Dolphins also still have a chance to sneak into the playoffs as a Wild Card team.

So, both teams have a lot to play for. Tank Dell has had a rough season for the Texans after a breakout rookie year.

Hopefully, he can pick it up in the last few weeks.

Dolphins win 27-24

colts
broncos

Colts @ Broncos (-4): Sun 2:25p – The Colts are still fighting to win the AFC South, and the Broncos are still fighting for a Wild Card spot.

The Broncos have looked incredible this year. Bo Nix has been a Godsend for Denver.

On the other side of the field, Anthony Richardson had some hype going into this year after starting last year off so well until getting hurt. And, we covered when he quit in that crucial AFC South game versus the Texans.

The Broncos defense and offense will be too much.

Broncos win 31-21

steelers
eagles

Steelers @ Eagles (-4.5): Sun. 2:25p – here is another fantastic game this week. The Eagles have been having some issues the past few weeks. They were lucky against the Ravens, when the best kicker of all time, Justin Tucker, decided he didn’t know how to hit field goals anymore.

And, last week they barely beat the Panthers, and may have lost, if Xavier Legette completes that catch in the end zone.

The Steelers are a gritty bunch, and will come after Jalen Hurts.

I think the Eagles win but don’t cover 23-20

patriots
cardinals

Patriots @ Cardinals (-5.5): Sun. 2:25p – The Cardinals still have a slim chance to win the NFC West, but it looks unlikely with how well the Rams and Seahawks are playing.

The Patriots continue to stay in close games, and Drake Maye seems to be getting better each week.

Cardinals win 24-21

packers
seahawks

Packers (-3) @ Seahawks: Sun. 6:20p – The Seahawks must keep winning to hold off the Rams. The Packers are comfortably in a Wild Card spot, but still have a chance at the NFC North division even though the Lions and Vikings are ahead of them.

The Seahawks offense is loaded with talent which is why I like the Seahawks winning 31-26

bears
vikings

Bears @ Vikings (-7): Mon. 6:00p – The Bears need to draft O-lineman to protect Caleb Williams.

He has been sacked the most in the league and sometimes looks like a deer in headlights.

The Vikings are essentially in the playoffs but still fighting for the division.

Vikings win convincingly 30-17

falcons
raiders

Falcons (-4.5) @ Raiders: Mon. 6:30p – The Raiders are fighting for the first overall pick in the draft. The Falcons have to win if they want a chance of winning the NFC South division.

Falcons win 27-18

BYE WEEKS ARE OVER!!!

SEASON RECORD: 131-75!
