The Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs secured a first-round bye, and are awaiting their potential match ups.

But we don’t care about that right now! Let’s dive into the Wild Card weekend:

texans
chargers

AFC Wild Card (Sat. 1/11 @ 2:30): #4 Houston Texans vs. #5 Los Angeles Chargers (-3):

The Texans have been struggling most of the year to find their offense. And, the Chargers offense has come alive as of late. The Chargers have won three straight, one against a playoff team, whereas the Texans have won one of their last three. Against the Ravens on Christmas, the Texans were only able to come away with two points that game. If the Chargers number one defense can play remotely close to the Ravens defense, then this should be a walk in the park for the Chargers. It is a Texans’ home game so the fans should be loud. The Texans are very weak at receiver compared to what they started the year with. Chargers win 27-20

ravens
steelers

AFC Wild Card (Sat. 1/11 @ 6:00): #3 Baltimore Ravens (-9.5) vs. #6 Pittsburgh Steelers:

The only divisional match up in the Wild Card games also opened up with the largest spread. The spread should move in the Steelers favor since this week it was announced Zay Flowers will miss the game. He was the Ravens leading receiver, and could play at the slot or on the outside. This will most likely turn Lamar’s focus to his two great tight ends. The Steelers have been struggling. And, George Pickens should maybe take most of the blame. It is still a mystery to me why receivers who haven’t even made the Pro-Bowl are such drama queens. He is a great player but after that joke of a performance with six targets and one catch for zero yards. Some of the passes were hitting him in the hands wide open against the Bengals. The Steelers have lost four straight, granted all of them were playoff teams other than the Bengals. Ravens win 24-18

bills
broncos

AFC Wild Card (Sun. 1/12 @ 11:00): #2 Buffalo Bills (-8.5) vs. #7 Denver Broncos:

The Bills are one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl. Josh Allen has been amazing running and throwing the ball this year. His band of misfit toys, other than Khalil Shakir, has been an eye-opener. You don’t need to have this polished number one receiver to compete at the highest level. Some may say less is more, but Allen has a plethora of skill position players to get the ball to. No one is giving the Broncos much of a chance other than us here in Denver. Bo Nix has been a revelation for the Broncos organization. Sean Payton and the crew are over a touchdown underdogs, but I think it will at least be a one score game. I am a little worried the Bills’ defense might be able to make life hard for Nix. The one benefit the Broncos do have over other AFC teams is they can play in the cold, so the Buffalo cold shouldn’t be a factor for Denver. Bills win 31-24

eagles
packers

NFC Wild Card (Sun. 1/12 @ 2:30): #2 Philadelphia Eagles (-4.5) vs. #7 Green Bay Packers:

I would assume Jalen Hurts is playing for the Eagles. Saquon Barkley has been unbelievable and I am sure he would’ve taken the rush yards record from Eric Dickerson if he played in the last game. The Packers lost Jordan Love and Christian Watson in their loss to the Bears. Love will be available, but with one less weapon on the outside it may prove difficult for the Packers to keep up with the Eagles. Eagles win 28-17

buccaneers
commanders

NFC Wild Card (Sun. 1/12 @ 6:00): #3 Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3) vs. #6 Washington Commanders:

This may be the game of the weekend. Both teams are very exciting. The Bucs have had some injuries this year, but managed to lock up the division. The Commanders are a new playoff contender every year which makes the NFC East a lot more exciting. I am a fan of both teams, but since Tampa Bay is at home I am going to take the Buccaneers 28-27

rams
vikings

NFC Wild Card (Mon. 1/13 @ 6:00): #4 Los Angeles Rams vs. #5 Minnesota Vikings (-1):

This game just got moved to Glendale, Arizona, so we will have to see which teams’ fans travel better. The Rams are a lot closer to Arizona then Minnesota, but those Minnesotans love their Vikings, so the game could be half Rams and half Vikings fans. I think the Rams are scary since they have been on a roll, and to start the year they lost their two wide receivers. Vikings win 27-24
