We need to be pushing back on that. Remember, if something is a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. And it could be difficult or impossible to endure. Intolerable. Number two, incapable of being suffered, born, or endured. Insupportable, unendurable, intolerable. And, uh, as we are really looking back at the O’Biden Harris administration and that agenda, uh, the, uh, onerous things that have happened to us were really insufferable. And we, I don’t think we quite realized how bad it is, but we are now seeing all of these headlines and, uh, It’s been quite amazing. So insufferable I N S U F F E R A B L E. And your challenge is to impress your friends and family with your expanded vocabulary by using the word insufferable in a sentence today. Our quote of the day, and I’m going to George Washington quotes for most of the week because his birthday is February 22nd. He was born February 22nd, 1732, died December 14th, 1799. He was the commander, the general of the Continental Army, and he is the only general that has been designated as a six-star general. And so for commanding the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. He presided over the Constitutional Convention and he was also our first president. And he said this, he said, the propitious smiles of heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which heaven itself has ordained. And that is the quote of the day by George Washington. So when it is negative four degrees outside and just basically not even with a flip of the switch with this automatic thermostat to be in a warm home, it’s is really a blessing. We are seeing, though, that the powers that be want to make it more difficult for us to do that, to make it more expensive. And when government gets involved, then the quality goes down, the price goes up and the supply becomes limited. We’re seeing that with eggs. We’re seeing that with energy. And we need to get government rolled back into its proper role. We are to be good stewards of our earth, and we can do that. We can coexist with our earth and be good stewards of that as well. So let’s see, couple of things. The first thing, one of my colleagues was at a restaurant recently in the metro area, it was a Mexican restaurant, and came back with a couple of flyers that were there. And the first one was Spanish on one side, English on the other, says Colorado stands with immigrants, no mass deportations, reports suspected ICE activity, and that response network hotline is 844-864-8341. And this flyer goes on to say, know your rights. Don’t open your door if ICE knocks. Don’t talk to ICE. And you have a right to a lawyer. And that’s on one of the flyers. The other, again, Spanish on one side, English on the other, says make a plan, be prepared. It says make sure you have copies of your important documents and keep originals in a safe place. It says under that, make a plan, be prepared. The federal government can deport anyone without lawful immigration status and people with status, for example, lawful permanent residents and visa holders with certain criminal convictions. So after it says have your documents in a safe place, it says consult a lawyer before ICE comes to your door. I wonder who’s paying these attorneys? Question. Make a family plan. Identify an emergency caretaker for your children. Memorize at least one emergency phone number and know who your elected officials are. Consider keeping a signed DHS privacy waiver in a safe place so they can advocate on your behalf. And then they have QR codes, one for pro bono legal service providers. Number two, download the DHS privacy waiver. And number three, submit a casework request. All of that with QR codes. And of course, you need a mobile phone to access those. So probably would be using a mobile phone that perhaps the taxpayer has paid for. So that is, I just thought that was interesting and wanted to bring that to your attention. Let’s see. Next thing, we’ll talk about bills of the day with Ramey Johnson, one of my fellow cut board members here in the second segment. And let’s see, just some headlines. First thing, J.D. Vance gave a speech in Munich. And again, my friend Yvonne said that it was really an important speech. The headline from Fox News is his speech is praised as a Churchillian moment as CBS host faces criticism for response. And it says constitutional scholar Jonathan Turley praised Vice President J.D. Vance’s speech for criticizing German censorship laws during his speech to the Munich Security Conference, where the vice president called out organizers for banning both far left and far right wing parties. Turley also reacted on America’s Newsroom Tuesday to a CBS host blaming the Holocaust on free speech. And Turley said this, it was a historic speech by Vice President Vance. And in 1963, John F. Kennedy went to Berlin to say, I’m a Berliner, to say that he was going to stand with the rights of free speech and other rights of those behind the Iron Curtain. Vance went in this case to Munich and said, I am an American, and as an American, I will fight for free speech. He confronted our allies and saying, you can’t claim to be defending democracy when you are eviscerating the very right that defines us. He said, I wrote a book called The Indispensable Right, and it talks about Germany, the United Kingdom, and other allies where free speech is in free fall. And so this was a very welcome speech for the free speech community, not just the United States, but in Europe. And Turley says, and I’m hearing from a lot of my colleagues in Europe saying that this was a true Churchillian moment for the free speech community. Next headline I wanted to mention is this is from the Daily Mail. It says Trump takes Trump team makes a radical U-turn on the covid vaccine. And it says here, it says COVID vaccines could be suspended for all age groups in America under radical new plans backed by key health figures in the Trump administration. Several experts poised for top jobs in the U.S. health agencies subscribe to the disputed idea the shots are causing widespread side effects and deaths. Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, who has been nominated to lead the National Institute of Health and has backed a petition calling for the mRNA vaccines to be paused and retested, the Daily Mail revealed. So I think that’s a very important development as well. Then lastly, the Colorado ban on manufacture sale of certain semiotic guns is now on its way to the governor’s desk. You know, I also like to say a word about my coworkers. Everybody comes at this from a different perspective, a different background. Yet most of the time, many of the things that we grade, we find quite a bit of consensus on, even though we come at it from different perspectives. And they are working hard for the people of Colorado.

Well, they really are. And I love the fact that we have different perspectives. We don’t just totally rubber stamp something one way or another. We really think about it and we have conversations online about it. And I think it’s really important. And I think that it really is a great service to the people of Colorado. With our pledge, we focus on, I would say, anything that affects the taxpayer, which is all of us, property rights, school choice, and TABOR, protecting our Colorado’s TABOR Taxpayers Bill of Rights. And it really is a great service to the people of Colorado, and again, great discussions.

And then I had a listener that reached out who’s a Cupboard member and said, what can we do about this? And we’re going to start, I hope… I think it’s going to be this weekend a service where we will choose certain bills and provide a service where people can weigh in and email the prime sponsors on those bills. And that’s going to be, I think, a new service. And I’m really excited about that, Ramey.

I am, too, because the sponsors of some of these things can start to hear actually what people are thinking. And people are watching this legislature.
SPEAKER 12 :
They really are. So let’s jump into it. You and I selected some bills to talk about. And let’s see, I think the first one was 1021, which was the tax incentives for employee owned businesses. And a cut on this is a no on that, I think, Ramey. What’s your thoughts on the bill?
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes, we are a note. This bill basically just picks winners and losers. You know, from the surface, it sounds good. Many small businesses closed during COVID, and a lot of our businesses have gone under, a lot of the restaurants especially. And it’s a nice idea. I love the idea for employees having the opportunity to to buy into the company that they’re in, if you will, but they don’t need a tax incentive to do this, and this should happen without them. The one thing that caught my eye when I was looking at it again is that it creates a refundable income tax credit for nonprofit entities that assist in converting a qualified business to an employee-owned business. Really? They’re going to pull in nonprofits? What’s that about, Kim? And eventually, in another year, this would require two FTEs, which also increases the size of state government. We need a doji here in Colorado.
SPEAKER 12 :
That we do, and we’ve got to figure that out. Very good point, Ramey Johnson. Next bill is House Bill 25-119, requiring disclosures of climate emissions. And it’s interesting that the guy that – well, Manny Rudinel, who is the sponsor on this, I think he’s also thrown his hat in the ring for – for CD8, the congressional district seat, or he’s considering it anyway. So it’s important to connect the dots and see what their agenda is. So what’s your thoughts on this required disclosure of climate emissions?
SPEAKER 04 :
This is a terrible burden for our businesses. You know, it’s interesting. This one will make things even worse. The one that we just reviewed, it sounds good for small business, but isn’t. This one, it is a terrible burden for our businesses. It’s a paper nightmare. There is no reason why. Why are we even, why would we even do this? And who will be reading the reams and reams of the information? This is basically, Kim, just part of the Green New Deal. And it adds a lot of excess paperwork for businesses and With each of these, you must have a disclosure that is independently verified by a third-party auditor. This really increases the expense for business. Imagine with each disclosure, you’ve got to get an auditor to look at it and to sign off. This is crazy, Kim.
SPEAKER 12 :
It is. And it is for larger businesses. But what I also see is they’ll come in and it’s camel’s nose under the tent and have it for the larger businesses. And then next thing you know, it trickles down to the smaller businesses as well. So, again, the sponsor on that is Manny Routinel. And important to connect that dot. Next one, I know this is one of your favorites, Rami, and that is House Bill 25-1161, labeling gas-fueled stoves. I think you like your gas-fueled stove, right? And you don’t really need additional labels on it if you were going to buy one, right?
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes, I do love my gas-fueled stove, Kim. In fact, I’ve asked Walt to decorate my coffin with the knobs on it. Thank you. They’re not going to take it away from me. You know, gas fuel, those kids have been around for 100 years, and now all at once we’re going to decide to put a label on them? There is no reason even given by the sponsor for this. The sad thing to me is that I honestly see this as a clear conflict of interest for this sponsor because On his website, he lists himself, and this is, quote, a renewable energy entrepreneur. That kind of says it right there. This bill would promote the business that he’s involved in. Really? No, this is a hard no for me.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and the sponsor on that, I think, is Alex Valdez, right, if I remember right? Yes, he is. Yeah. Okay.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah. Looking for himself.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yes. And then this last one, House Bill 25-1169, Housing Developments on Faith and Educational Land. This is a really interesting one. So what’s your thoughts on that?
SPEAKER 04 :
This is a terrible bill, Kim. You know, It is hard to choose which bill is worse than the other, to be honest with you, in this particular session. This bill has a safety clause. What this bill is saying is that you can have housing developments on faith and educational land, like the title says, but this should be of special interest to Jefferson County. The Jefferson County School Board has closed about 19 to 20 schools. And let’s remember that the schools in that land were paid for by us, the taxpayers. We’ve basically got skin in the game on this. And the schools are all in residential neighborhoods. It was just last year that one of the elementary schools in a residential neighborhood was being looked at by the city of Lakewood and the Action Center in order to extend the Action Center into that residential neighborhood, which is extremely unfair to the residences in that neighborhood. Zoning, Kim, is a local issue. This is way out of the state’s lane, and they need to stay out of local communities. People want to define their own communities. We want to say what that land is going to be used for. I am very much in opposition to this. And to have a safety clause on something like this, this is the kind of bill that that if it were to actually go through, and hopefully Governor Polis and some of the legislators down there will have a little bit of common sense, but if it should go through, this is the kind of thing, if anything, should go to a vote of the people. People do not want this. Our entire state, imagine, Kim, we are Every community is different. Look at every corner of the state. And unfortunately, the legislators don’t seem to understand when they are passing legislation, they’re affecting every corner of this state. I don’t know what they’re thinking of when they’re

even dreaming of something like this this is a hard no and those sponsors are representative andrew bosenecker representative javier mabray senator julie gonzalez and senator tony exum and this as you say this uh would give permission to put um it’s it it says that they can put up to three stories on this property it could change the as you mentioned the neighborhoods And the other thing, Ramey, is I think that this land should be sold and that money should be, the church can have it or the schools can have those funds. And then the local community can decide what to do with that land. But the other thing I’m concerned about is that because this would be educational or like church property, that that would also mean that it’s not taxable. So that may be putting these developments, these people in here, and not contributing to property taxes either. So this is a really bad bill. And again, that is House Bill 1169. Well, thanks for having me back. Yeah, there’s a lot going on. I don’t even know where to start. I’m going to let you ask the question because I literally used to be, I’d stand around going, geez, what should I do this week’s news segment? Now I’m doing three news segments a week and I still have like 10 in the hopper. And I said to my son who does my editing, I’m like, I don’t even know which one to put up first. I said, you’re going to have to choose. It’s gotten to the point that the news and how quick President Trump is working is such a benefit to us. So be blessed that this happened because it could have gone the other way, which would have been really bad.
SPEAKER 12 :
It would have been really bad. And, of course, it is amazing to watch the headlines. A friend of mine said it’s like being a kid in a candy store with all of the things that the Trump administration is doing. and you and I talk on a regular basis about freedom of mobility, to be able to go where you want to when you want to, which has been one of those things that has been under attack by the agenda played out through the O’Biden-Harris administration, but World Economic Forum, Globalist Elite.
SPEAKER 11 :
That was good. You like that? You know what? It’s obvious that Biden wasn’t doing the damn thing, and it’s blatantly obvious that this was Obama’s third term.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yes. And so I guess the first question, this was one of the things that you posted. Transportation Secretary Duffy makes dramatic emission rule changes. That’s huge. Yes.
SPEAKER 11 :
Oh, yes. And I’m trying to still get a hold of Sean Duffy to have a sit-down meeting because I have a lot of things that he, as well as Lee Zeldin, who I’ve met quite a few times, but still need to have a sit-down with him as well. I’m also trying to get a hold of Bernie Moreno. So anyone else who’s involved in transportation, there’s a lot of things that they don’t know about. So they’re hearing the big picture stuff first. The first thing is they’re revoking the emissions rules, and that is super important because what has happened day one – Sean Duffy, who’s Secretary of Transportation, took action to remove all the fossil fuel emission standards that the Biden administration had put in place. So I have a whole story of that on my website. Actually, it went viral. I was shocked that it went viral because when I posted it, I thought, well, this one may not do so well. But I think the reason it did is people are getting very angry when they go to the gas pump and the price is on. They’re going to drop off. You have to give President Trump a little bit of time to do it. But When you start looking at what’s going on with this is these rules were based on a state by state basis until California got power, of which Obama gave California more power. And then Biden gave them, well, Biden, shall we say, gave them even more power. So California was making the rules for the whole rest of the country, controlling the corporate average fuel economy. Now, From fuel economy standpoint, who doesn’t want to have high fuel economy and good performance? But unfortunately, what happens is something has to give. So while you think you’re getting great performance, you’re actually probably going to lose a lot in fuel economy. It goes both ways. You want great fuel economy, then your car barely gets out of its own way. So there’s a happy medium. Unfortunately, they were pushing for rules that were totally impossible. And the only way for them to be possible was for all electric cars. And that was the plan. the plan was 2035 make it so 52 of the cars in the road had to be electric and then push to 2050 all electric and that doesn’t work for a lot of people as we’ve seen we have problems with wind and solar not having enough power we don’t have nuclear power they don’t want us to use coal they don’t want to use natural gas it’s like they want us in darkness the whole idea is to push people to the whole idea was thank goodness this looks like it’s done it was to push people to the inner city so we have 15 minute cities And you know what downtown Denver is like, and I’ll just leave it at that. It’s the same. Denver is gorgeous. I love it there, but they need to clean it up.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, it used to be gorgeous, Lauren Fix, and I loved Denver and love to say that I’m from Colorado. Now I’m not so excited about it. Denver has become dirty. It’s been dangerous, or it’s dangerous. And you probably didn’t see this because you’re on national, but Denver, A few weeks ago down on the 16th Street Mall, a guy had a knife and ended up killing a couple of people. One of them was a flight attendant that was just probably in for her layover down in Denver, downtown Denver, and she was killed. And it is because of terrible public policy that’s occurring out here. And Colorado seems to be trying to outdo California on all of this stuff regarding the Green New Deal and electric vehicles. So we’re right there on that. So what does this mean? Because I know the California standards, and you’ve said many times that California’s a big market for auto. So if California… puts in standards, then the rest of the country has to have those standards as well. But can’t the administration, the Trump administration, they overturn those? Is that what happened?
SPEAKER 11 :
So how it works is they put regulation in that forces California, well, gives California more power than California, says we want these super high fuel economy ratings. And if they can’t meet that, then manufacturers have to produce electric cars. And the percentage of those electric cars, which, of course, nobody reads this but me, at least it seems that way, was multiplying and was multiplying quickly. 18% of cars that were sold had to be electric. Well, if you drive by any lot, I don’t care where you are in the country, there are tons of electric cars sitting there. Manufacturers did their part. Unfortunately, well, good and bad, consumers decided not to purchase those cars. So now they’re sitting on dealer lots and dealers are trying to get rid of them. And now that $7,500 tax credit and that mandate’s gone. So consumers then lose even more interest in and purchasing a car without that tax credit. And I just put out a story. I believe it went out yesterday evening. It was a survey done by Deloitte. Deloitte and Touche is a huge, huge company, very reliable, responsible company. It’s not just some random company. And they put out a story. They had done a global search of over 31,000 people, over 30 countries, to ask them, hey, what’s your thoughts on electric cars? Would you buy it? Wouldn’t you buy it? And they found that only 5% of people were actually interested in choosing an electric car, 5%. And the rate was a little higher in some other countries, but the reason for that was because they were being pushed that if you need a new car, you have no choice. Like in England, that’s a big problem. And I was just in the UK in June of last year, and I talked to some interesting people that happened to work in the auto industry. I was hosted by them. And they said, we don’t have enough electricity to even keep the lights on all the time. There are times we have blackouts and brownouts, much like California. And they said, the problem is electric cars are just so expensive. We can’t afford them. The insurance is more expensive. And so it’s much more amplified in the UK than it is here. We’re hearing, well, I don’t need it. I can go buy a hybrid. I can purchase a gasoline-powered car. But in the U.K., they’re being pressured to the point that there’s a fee for keeping your old gas car. And a lot of them are diesel there. There’s a fee for that as well. And if you own an electric car, then you don’t have a fee. So they’re trying to entice people into this, but it’s still not working. People are just like, I’m going to pay the fee and keep my old car because the insurance is less and I’ll just drive less. And all it’s doing is controlling people to stay at home. And it’s certainly a problem on a global basis. So the story is much longer. If you’re interested in why only 5% of people, especially here in the U.S., are interested, you can go to Car Coach Reports on my YouTube channel because it covers Germany, Canada, Japan. And it’s interesting, the rate is much less than you would think. The mainstream media talks like, yeah, everybody wants it. They don’t, not even in China. It’s down to 22%. Korea is 24%. And it’s very interesting that you would think in these countries where they’re building a lot of this product, they’d be interested, but the interest level is dramatically dropping.
SPEAKER 12 :
But Lauren Fix, what it ultimately is about is control of people’s mobility. And as you’ve said, the goal is to get people into cities, 15-minute cities, live in these apartments and not be able to go where you want to when you want to. And out here in Colorado, people have moved to Colorado because many of them want to hike, they want to ski. And so the idea that you would be in a teeny tiny apartment with no vehicle, ultimately how will you get up to the mountains? That’s going to be one of the questions. So people really still do want a vehicle.
SPEAKER 11 :
You have to wait for the bus, which if you know how reliable that would be. uh i mean i was just in steamboat springs it’s beautiful there but you can’t walk these places you need transportation there are still areas even in a town like that that you you have to have a car you have to get an uber and that’s the other thing who’s driving these ubers in many cases it’s normal people you know that are doing a job trying to pay you know making ends meet but there’s a lot of times i’ve gotten in ubers that make me they don’t speak english They, I don’t even know if they have driver’s license. And sometimes I question based on their driving, if they ever took a driving class. So, I mean, unless the problem, you’re relying on somebody else to get you there safely and assuming that the car is safe. Again, we don’t know.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. Okay. So and just again, I on the California standards, they had gotten a waiver, right? California got a waiver to do those standards. So is Duffy reversing that waiver or what’s he doing exactly on that?
SPEAKER 11 :
It’s a combination. Sean Duffy removed a lot of. the restrictions. And I haven’t posted the story yet. You’re going to see that coming out most likely on Friday. Congress can repeal the California electric vehicle mandate, but it had to be done twofold because what they did is they put this rule in place and made it seem like it was so simple, just don’t do it. Well, that would be too easy. And so they put tentacles in every single department from Treasury to the EPA to transportation to do this intentionally so that if they don’t all work together, you don’t have everybody working on the same effort, that you’ll never be able to undo it. And that is much like how you try to find all of Biden’s money that seems to be, it’ll take you 100 years to find all our LLCs. Well, they’re still working on that. And that was the whole idea. So what in this case, Lee Zeldin on day one said, Again, this doesn’t hit the mainstream news. He signed an undo of the clean air waiver. It was put in the day after he got into office, just like President Trump campaigned on. And how quickly can Congress kill this waiver? Well, under Congressional Review Act, as the civil majority of both chambers can overturn a regulation with a president’s signature. And we know that Trump will sign this. So it’s called a CRA. So passing a CRA resolution would be quicker than reversing the rule through administrative purposes because we don’t want it to come back. The one thing about a CRA is that if it passes and they can’t come back and put it back in again, that’s the one thing. So you can undo it. The next administration comes in and they put it back in place. You don’t want this back and forth because it drives consumers crazy. It drives everybody crazy. But the whole neat thing is that if they put the CRA through, that the EPA and the federal government cannot reattempt to approve this rule. It would require an act of Congress to override the CRA, and that’s what they’re working on.

Oh, that is awesome. So you mentioned there’s so much to talk about. And the next thing I was going to ask you was regarding this merger of Honda and Nissan and it’s off. And that’s pretty important that people know about that. Yes.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, I mean, first off, if you own a Nissan product, don’t feel like, oh, my gosh, the dealer can’t help me. The dealers are great. They’re going to take care of you. They’re not going anywhere. So if you have a Nissan product and you’re happy with it, awesome. Keep it. No worries. That’s one less thing on your plate. This was a corporate situation where Japan got involved and talked to Honda, the second strongest manufacturer in the country, because number one is Toyota. Toyota has a merger relationship with Mazda and Subaru, and they said to Nissan, said, hey, listen, you’ve got to help your little sister Nissan, the third largest carmaker in Japan. You’ve got to work with them. So they also would work with Mitsubishi, which is much smaller. I think they’re fifth. But together they would all work together, and Nissan had a big issue with CEOs butting heads. This just happened last night that the CEO of Honda said, yeah, we’re not going to talk to Nissan any further unless you get rid of your CEO, which I thought was kind of interesting because usually Honda wouldn’t say something like that. But Honda said they would be ready to receive merger talks again if Nissan’s CEO – uh uchida leaves honda would be open to resuming negotiations under a new nissan ceo who could better manage opposition within nissan so this is from the financial times so they’ve got some issues um what can nissan do well they need to get some cash they need to get some new technology they need a lot of updates they need to get rid of a few things that they have across their lineup uh their center screens their cvt transmissions and and all of that based on nothing on the surface but they need someone like Foxconn. Foxconn makes the iPhone and they want to get involved in the auto industry. They have the ability to help maybe retool some of their technology. And if they decide to do that, that would be a help to Nissan. But in the meantime, they’ve got a lot of things they need to do, both internally and in product. And until that’s done, I question the future of Nissan. Could it be the death knell? I don’t know. Carlos Ghosn, which was a big problem. I mean, you and I talked about this Oh, gosh, three, four years ago. He was the CEO of the company. They made an accusation he was stealing money because they didn’t like him there because there’s a cultural thing. In Japan, they want Japanese leaders. He wasn’t. He was from Lebanon, but he did save the car company. I remember when – actually, I was a trainer for Nissan when Carlos Ghosn came in, and we got a chance to talk to him and meet him. I was unbelievably impressed with his knowledge and his skills. his marketing ability. He’s not a car guy necessarily, but if you know how to market like Jose Munez does at Hyundai, And interestingly, a lot of car manufacturers are trying to steal a lot of CEOs. I’m watching this go on. It’s very interesting to watch. Many of them are smart enough not to just take the bait and go for the money because once you do, you don’t know if you can save these car companies and it falls on you and your credibility and what people think of you as far as your history in the industry. But Nissan’s got a lot of problems. And the whole way they handled Carlos Ghosn was a mistake. It was in 2018. They made it a huge news story thinking that was good for them. It was an embarrassment. He escaped in a music case. He still is around today. And Carlos Ghosn spoke out about this and said, if they don’t get any money in there, they’re done. And for them to go to Honda by using the Japanese government, he questions the future of the brand. Now, he’s in a different position than me. He knows the internal workings. But it is quite a concern for the future. And Mitsubishi doesn’t want to partner in with Honda. They want to stand alone. So the part is that they also have a French car company called Renault that – also has an investment in the company because Carlos Ghosn saved Renault. So this is a lot of movement going on in the industry right now. We’re seeing a lot of consolidation, a lot of shrinkage, a lot of cars sitting on lots. Consumers are not buying cars, and it affects every brand. And I see it on my end because I can tell by events they have because usually they’ll bring journalists out. They’ll say, oh, we’ll bring 100 journalists out to drive from radio, TV, Internet, YouTube, whatever. and we’ll drive these cars. But there’s very few events going on in the spring, which is totally not normal. For the last 30 years I’ve been doing this, usually it’s back-to-back-to-back events, and that is not the case. So they’re all hurting financially. They’re all cutting back. And does this mean Nissan is going into business? I don’t think so, but I will tell you this. If you’ve got a Nissan product, you’re fine. I think it was very smart of Honda to disconnect on the mergers because Honda doesn’t need them.

Wow. So we’ve got just a minute left, Lauren Fix. How would you like to wrap this up? It always goes so quickly. I learned so much. Your final thought?

Oh, there’s a lot going on. I’ve got a lot of stories that you’re going to be seeing. We have an update on AM Radio Bill. That’s coming out soon. We’re still fighting for the kill switch that you and I talked about. I’ve spoken with some people, so if anyone can get me to Lee Zeldin, Sean Duffy, Bernie Marino, you’ve got any connections that are in transportation, we need to let them know about a lot of things that are going on because I don’t think there’s so much going on. They’re hitting the big picture items first. But some of these are, again, the tentacles go deep. And we need to undo all this in the first two years, because when midterms come, we don’t know if President Trump will still have the House and the Senate. We hope he does. But we need to get as much done as we can in two years. So let’s all work together as a team and get some of the stuff done, because I know a lot of people are out for themselves. We have to all work as a team.

There are many towns in Colorado that are dependent on gas-powered vehicles for their revenue, such as Array. Lots of off-road trails, jeeps and other off-road vehicles, snowmobiling in the mountains and other off-roaming trails. Again, I think a lot of these people in these mountain towns don’t realize that this is really an assault upon their communities with this Green New Deal. So it’s important to understand. And I think that we are at that point in America and so pleased to see what the Trump to administration is doing to get the federal government back into its proper role so that government becomes smaller and the individual individual liberty becomes bigger. And the word insufferable, I-N-S-U-F-F-E-R-A-B-L-E, insufferable, your challenge is to use that in a sentence today. Our quote of the day is from George Washington. He was born on February 22nd, 1732. He died December 14th, 1799. He was our first president. He was the commander of the Continental Army, the general, only six star general out there, to my understanding. Let’s see. He presided over the Constitutional Convention. So he’s known as the father of our country. And he said this. He said the propitious smiles of heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which heaven itself has ordained. and so what is the opposite of order my friends it’s chaos so if we don’t want to have an ordered border then we’re going to have chaos and we have chaos right here in colorado and i mentioned this in the first hour a colleague of mine was at a restaurant in the metro area and i don’t know the name of the restaurants i know one of you asked what that restaurant But in this restaurant, Mexican restaurant, had two different pieces of paper, Spanish on one side, English on the other. And one is to make a plan, be prepared. it says the federal government could deport anyone without lawful immigrant immigration status and people with status so lawful permanent residents and visa holders with certain criminal convictions can be deported so this piece of paper has a little qr code that says for pro bono legal services qr code download the dhs privacy waiver qr code and submit a casework request And the other piece of paper says Colorado stands with immigrants. No mass deportations. Reports suspected ICE activity at this number, 844-864-8341. And that’s the Colorado Rapid Response line. And it says, know your rights. Don’t open for ICE. Don’t talk to ICE. You have the right to a lawyer. So there are those here in Colorado that are… are directly trying to circumvent the federal government on deporting. And really, they’re focused right now on criminals. And so Colorado has devolved into a lot of chaos. You got into downtown Denver. It’s dirty. It’s dangerous. It used to be such a beautiful city, a city that I loved. But that is no longer the case. And in fact, I wanted to get to this… And this really tells it all. And it is Denver restaurants say they’re watching downtown fall completely apart. And this is from KUSATV. And it says here that several Denver restaurants said that they are at a boiling point with the state of downtown. In a letter to Mayor Mike Johnston and city leaders, Dave Query, owner of Jack’s Fish House and Oyster Bar, expressed frustrations with the mayor, noting he had promised on the campaign trail to turn downtown around. This says, let me get over here, and this was initially published via, the letter was via the Denver Gazette. And it goes on to say that, here we go, you ran your entire campaign platform on restoring our downtown Denver business districts. Query said in his letter, it has gotten worse since you took the position of mayor, even though you have received $550 million towards stewarding it in a different direction, says the Boulder-based chef behind BRF Restaurant Group, said downtown’s traffic plan and new bike paths implemented in the last two years have taken up parking spaces and made it more difficult for customers to come to their businesses. In addition, food trucks are taking parking spots and bringing in more competition. He also pointed to the series of stabbings on the 16th Street Mall over the January weekend when two people were killed and two were injured. Says this is the current vibe and energy on our downtown streets and our longtime Lodo and Larimer guests are now driving to Cherry Creek and Northfield and Golden for dinner and entertainment, Query wrote. We are now watching the 10th district fall completely apart. The entire downtown traffic plan and bike path cluster implemented over the last two years is a catastrophic disaster. And then Jordan Fugia, a spokesperson for the mayor’s office, reiterated the mayor’s goal to make downtown a safe place for workers, residents, tourists and businesses. OK, says that’s why Mayor Johnston has helped remove large tent encampments, increased police patrols and is bringing more than 500 million dollars in transformative investments. There’s more work to do, and Mayor Johnston will continue to partner with local businesses, restaurants and residents to ensure downtown is safe and thriving part of our community. I think what’s happening with these businesses in downtown Denver is it’s becoming insufferable to try to conduct business there. And it says Fugia also said that Johnston’s team reached out to the restaurant owner group on February 8th, offering available times to meet both this week and next. She added that the city has been investing in increasing the presence of police, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. I think that’s really what that is. It’s been public policy that’s put Denver into this position through not just Mike Johnston, but through Hancock as well, Michael Hancock. And it is because of the they’re really pushing this radical activist extremist agenda, which is really socialism moving towards communism. And that is really what is happening to our beautiful city that I have loved. And we’ve got to we’ve got to fight to reclaim Colorado. And a lot’s got to happen. What are you doing in Spencer, Iowa?
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, I had a very interesting day yesterday. I was asked to once again speak at the Spencer Chamber of Commerce Ag Outlook Conference. And with things happening so rapidly, there’s just a lot of people saying, what’s going on? What do I need to do? Everything is moving so quickly and that movement, a lot of it concerns me because it’s without human intervention. You know, we had Bobby Kennedy, one of his first statements talking about changing the chemical applications. We haven’t had a new chemical for weed control for 30 years. And what will be left if that happens is robots, automation, and fewer farmers. And we’re just moving closer to autonomously farming without a farmer. That’s quite concerning to me.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, it’s quite concerning to me as well, because the American farmer is focused on taking care of the land and feeding people, right? The farmer and rancher. Okay. So you see RFK Jr. pushing towards automated farming?
SPEAKER 07 :
He made a statement on four bullet points that he wanted to focus on as the director of health and human services. And one of those four bullet points was to eliminate chemicals like glyphosate that is currently being used for weed control. If and when that happens, it will force the weed control business to go to robots, which will force consolidation. And literally, John Deere is going to control every bit of agriculture when that happens.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, I don’t understand.
SPEAKER 07 :
What you have playing out, Kim, and nobody really wants to say this, but right now what is happening is you have Bayer, who purchased the Monsanto products, and glyphosate is one of those, and they’re based in Germany, versus John Deere. And John Deere, still based in the United States, but moving all manufacturing somewhere else. And so John Deere wants to do this with robots, mechanical robots, and lasers, and Bayer clearly wants to still do it with chemical applications. So that’s what’s playing out right now in front of us.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, I don’t know anything about how robots could control weeds. How does that work?
SPEAKER 07 :
So what they do is they take artificial intelligence, and they teach the robot what is corn or what is a cocoa burr. And so the robot goes through the field and literally through image work determines which is a weed and which is the preferred plant. And there were many people here displaying that technology yesterday at the Ag Outlook Conference. And, you know, it’s looked at as a tremendous innovation and progress. If you want to eliminate farmers from being involved in taking care of the land and producing your food, it is. I’m not in a place where I think that’s a good thing. So my point is I don’t want to just throw a roadblock up. We’re running into this when, in fact, we need to be crawling into it is my opinion. I interviewed Larry Palin yesterday, 90 years old. In fact, he’s on my Trent on the Loose program today, and he made the statement of a lifetime. He’s 90 years old, and we were talking about all the automation and the auto steer and everything that happens in the combine and the tractors today. And Larry Palin said, It’s turning out to be the business where you can retire and still go to work.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, well, okay, Trent, so many people are concerned about chemicals and causing cancer and, of course, cancer. Glyphosate, that’s been one of those concerns. So it sounds attractive if you could have AI just zing the weed. That does sound attractive, Trent.
SPEAKER 07 :
Then you’re going to eliminate the farmer.
SPEAKER 12 :
But if the farmer is using something that is cancer-causing, that’s a problem too, right?
SPEAKER 07 :
You can’t make that statement. How long has glyphosate been in the market? Is there a higher percentage of farmers with cancer than there was prior to that? What were the chemicals that were used prior to that? The fact that glyphosate automatically causes cancer when, in fact, it’s been in the marketplace for 40 years and we have not had a new chemical come on the scene for 40 years. You have to ask the question, what is fact? What is fiction? We’ve been lied to about everything, including fluoride. And I’m not – actually, I’ve never been a supporter of Bayer. I’m very troubled by their history. But what I am a supporter of is the United States farmer, and we are taking for granted – that if we can just get rid of this chemical, everything will be better. Everything changes if we get rid of this chemical because you have one of two things. You’re going to have robots. You’re going to have consolidation. You’re going to have literally Bill Gates controlling all of food production in the United States because it’s a Microsoft operating system that monitors and takes care of all these robots in terms of weed control. The guy who is adding farmland to his portfolio, who is the largest shareholder of John Deere at 8% of the total shares, is going to control the U.S. food system if you ban glyphosate or come up with some other weed killing mechanism. Because what my grandfather did was he would just till the soil to no end to minimize the weed impact. And this whole thing is supposed to be about improving our net carbon zero and our carbon intensity. When you till the soil, you destroy your carbon intensity. And so what we need to do is keep the carbon in the soil and utilize the best technology possible. But to say that glyphosate automatically causes cancer, I’m not buying that. That’s not part of the equation.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, this is going to be quite the battle, I think, because RFK Jr. has said that we have an epidemic of chronic disease.
SPEAKER 07 :
We do, I agree.
SPEAKER 12 :
We do, okay.
SPEAKER 07 :
It’s not tied to glyphosate in any way, shape, or form. Do you watch what people eat? He also said in one of his four bullet points, one of the birds under my saddle for a long time, is that the dietary guidelines are completely messed up. If we fed livestock like people feed their kids, we would have sick, unhealthy, we’d be out of the livestock business. We do a horrible job at understanding the importance of protein, the importance of fat. And you look at the dietary guidelines, he said that we’re going to clean up the conflicts of interest and the people who make up the committee that established the dietary guidelines. There is the problem. If you want to fix human health, just stay right there. In fact, when Donald Trump was elected and came in in 2016, the very first interview that Sonny Perdue did, Secretary of Agriculture, in that first term, he did an interview with me, and I said to him, and I have the interview, I can share it with you. I said, Sonny, there’s nothing more important today than fixing this dietary guideline because most people don’t pay attention to it. But institutions have to. Schools have to. Elderly, the military have to. And what we have done is put these kids on a path of starvation and depredation and not feeding them for mental health and overall body health. Instead, we load them up on carbs and products that in no way, shape, or form should be a priority for these kids. And we minimize the amount of caloric intake that they can have. And how many kids go to school, they eat their school nutrition program, they come home and they are just famished. They got to replenish their body. That is job one in terms of fixing United States health status. It’s not what chemicals farmers are using to maintain weed control in their fields.
SPEAKER 12 :
So the next question, though, is using AI and lasers to… get rid of a weed, could that affect the soil health? We don’t know, right?
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, no, I don’t believe that there would be a direct effect to soil health. But what’s the other topic of the day? The other topic of the day is that we don’t have enough transmission lines to get the electricity that we need around the country. Well, that’s a lie, too. And there’s no doubt we need to continue to improve those. But what is the number one drain on the electric grid that we’re talking about doing in the new world?
SPEAKER 12 :
AI. AI.
SPEAKER 07 :
So when you continue to put more emphasis on AI, you’re putting more of a demand on electricity, which we have screwed up, and we’ve eliminated coal and natural gas completely. Coal is 22% of our electric supply in terms of a source, and it should be 60-plus percent. Because we don’t have affordable, reliable electric, and then we want to build these AI and put more and more dependence upon AI, artificial intelligence, not to be confused with artificial insemination, because that’s been in my world in my entire life or livestock career. We want to increase exponentially the demand for electricity at a time that we are creating an unreliable, unaffordable electricity supply that we can’t deliver to where they need it. This whole thing is tied together in one package.
SPEAKER 12 :
Wow. Okay, just this, you know what, let’s go to break. We’re going to continue to talk with Trent Luce. This is mind-boggling as we’re thinking about this. And boy, our food supply is so important, our food source, protein. And we take it for granted. And it’s because of the American farmer, rancher, cattleman. I love farming. And producer Joe said during the break, he said farmers and ranchers are some of the most hardworking people there. And there’s been a real and I’ll paraphrase. There’s been a real assault upon work ethic there. And so automating all of this seems like an assault upon that work ethic. And I thought that was an interesting revelation from a young 26-year-old.
SPEAKER 07 :
I agree, but can we back up one step?
SPEAKER 12 :
Yep.
SPEAKER 07 :
Do you know what today is?
SPEAKER 12 :
The 19th of February.
SPEAKER 07 :
Do you know that on February 19th, 1945, American troops landed on Iwo Jima?
SPEAKER 12 :
Oh, I should know that. I normally have that on my calendar. Oh, yeah, it was in February.
SPEAKER 07 :
It was today in 1945.
SPEAKER 12 :
Wow. And they were told that they thought that it would be just a few days. And it ends up being a very long battle, long and bloody. And there’s Cooper’s Troopers, which is a group of Marines that meets on a regular basis, combat veterans, well, veterans up in North Denver for, I think it’s Arvada. uh, for lunch every month. And that’s how I got to know a bunch of these, these guys and Paula Sarles, president of the Marine Memorial Foundation. But there’s six Iwo Jima guys that were still living when I started to attend Cooper’s Troopers and Jack Thurman was one of them and he just passed on. So thank you for bringing that up. Uh, I normally try to have that on my calendar. So good for you.
SPEAKER 07 :
That’s why I’m here to pick up what you drop. So I’m happy to follow you along and hopefully you drop a thing or two and I can be helpful.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, I do. I do appreciate that. Now, this came in from one of our listeners. She said, we don’t want Bill Gates anywhere near our food. He wants us to eat bugs. What’s your comments on that?
SPEAKER 07 :
I couldn’t agree more. I think he’s the most dangerous person to the entire food spectrum. He has said how many times? I mean, I’ve watched him give a speech back before we had digital everything that the population of the world needs to be cut in half. I watched him say that. And the more control he gets of our food supply, the better he’s going to have an odds of getting done what he wants to have done. I’m in favor of the farmer controlling this, not Bill Gates or, quite frankly, John Deere.
SPEAKER 12 :
Boy, from a narrative out there, glyphosate has really been demonized.
SPEAKER 07 :
Absolutely, it has.
SPEAKER 12 :
So this is going to be—
SPEAKER 07 :
and had the most effective control of weeds. Now, I don’t think that glyphosate is going to be here forever, but we have had nothing new come on the scene. And we just need to keep that in mind. From a soil health standpoint, you’ve got to balance the amount of times you’re promoting tillage on that soil versus a fraction of a chemical that is used to maintain weed control. And we should also talk about pests because there are bugs and worms and things that are causing problems, which, by the way, I did a whole history on The avocados coming into the United States from Mexico, and there are three times since 1914 that we’ve prevented avocados coming in because of a fly, a fruit fly. These things have got to be kept in check.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, so this is in from another listener. It says that your point on glyphosate is very interesting. She was thinking about the farmers who were out in the fields every day, and if there was an increase in cancer since they started using this, it seems like the farmer would be the first place where we would see a huge incidence of cancer. She said we’ve got to be careful and really know what’s going on before we throw the baby out with the bathwater. So interesting. Very important point, I think, Trent.
SPEAKER 07 :
You can’t sell the mule to buy a plow.
SPEAKER 12 :
Right. So this is going to be – okay, so you were in Spencer, Iowa, talking about this.
SPEAKER 07 :
I am. I still am, yes. Oh, you’re still there. To a group of farmers looking at the future.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, so what’s the boots on the ground? What are they saying? Yeah.
SPEAKER 07 :
boots on the ground is that they have never been more concerned about the future because if you look at what market prices are for crops produced, you look at a 587% increase in nitrogen and fertilizer application. You look at the cost of a bag of seed, which one guy said that He bought a bag of seed for $67 in his lifetime. And today a bag of seed is upwards of 400, 325 is probably the average. If you look at what property tax costs, every single aspect of producing a crop has increased significantly, and we are getting within a dollar of what farmers got in 1987 for us to talk about corn because it’s what we do in the United States better than anybody in the world and what we would rather do than anything else, which is grow corn. It’s just cause for concern on what do we do going forward. And you can do a search. There is land in Sioux County, Iowa, and I’m sitting 50 miles from Sioux County, Iowa right now. This past week, there was two pieces that brought over $28,000 an acre. All of these contributing factors lead us to where it’s going to continue to eliminate people in the production of food.
SPEAKER 12 :
Goodness.
SPEAKER 07 :
So that was the feel from yesterday.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. Okay, changing gears to what I said we would talk about, and that is these transmission lines. And I texted over this article from the Colorado Sun. Interstate power lines threaten farmers’ land in southeastern Colorado. We had Virginia Maka on with Stand for the Land Kansas earlier in the week, and And these transmission corridors, I was looking at something you recently published. You said that these transmission lines are really about getting the farmer and rancher off the land, that that’s the bottom line.
SPEAKER 07 :
The weapon of eminent domain is being used to threaten farmers and landowners. And at the end of the day, that’s the real challenge. The challenge is how do we keep people on the land? The story is not much different than the first one. I did read that entire article that you sent to me, and everybody wants to reference the February 2021 situation in Texas. And they’re like, we can’t allow that to happen again. What was not included in the article? And I can get you Mike Nazi, who was in the state capital of Texas and Austin, lobbying on behalf of keeping coal and natural gas as a main component. And in fact, he told the Texas Assembly, he said that if you get to the point where more than 20 percent of the electric supply comes from wind and solar, there will be blackout incidents. Texas, the ERCOT system is now at 47 percent of their electric grid comes from wind and solar. That’s the key component. We are moving and shifting to an unreliable supply of energy to generate electricity. It has nothing to do with these transmission lines. These transmission lines are a direct result of putting in unreliable, unaffordable electricity called wind and solar. That, at the end of the day, is the real issue. But it is nothing other than a tool to take land away. And Dallas May was quoted in there in something that needs to resonate with everybody. They take this land away for perpetuity, not just for 10 years, for perpetuity. That’s forever.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, in some of these transmission lines, they’re like transmission lines to nowhere, right?
SPEAKER 07 :
Correct. So what’s the purpose? And why is it every time there is some, I’m going to use air quotes, it’s ridiculous, it’s not renewable energy supply, they never use it locally. They do a renewable energy supply to help the people in Florida. If you’re going to do a renewable energy supply in Kiowa County, Colorado, why are you sending it to Florida? What’s the purpose? They never keep it local. Why? Because they cannot continue to consume and take land away from people so that they control the land instead of the individual landowner.
SPEAKER 12 :
My gosh, the American farmer and rancher, it’s coming at them every which way. I was just thinking about the wolves on the western slope killing livestock. It’s almost like it’s all coordinated. Not almost.
SPEAKER 07 :
It’s not almost coordinated. It is. By the way, there was a wolf kill with a cow over the weekend in the western slope of Colorado.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah, I saw that as well. So, gosh, Trent, I’m just so concerned about our food supply. Of course, we’re seeing this play out with eggs. And you and I have talked about eggs. And I had on yesterday Dr. Sina McCullough with the Epoch Times yesterday. and she was talking about the bird flu and that statistics may not be correct. But you and I have been talking about eggs for a long time. You get government involved in all this, calling all of these flocks, and then what happens is the price goes up, the quality goes down, the supply becomes limited, and And that’s going to play out consistently in all of our food supply with the way we’re headed right now.
SPEAKER 07 :
I agree 100 percent. And I happen to be in the state that is number one in egg production. And this portion of Iowa is very heavy with egg laying hens. And it just contributes. And the story is ultimately the same as we were just talking about with weed control and talking about with electricity needs. The story is the same every time. But what we can’t do is just sit back and expect somebody to come in and fix this. What we must do is find our community and our local infrastructure to make sure that we have power, that we have food, and we have all of the essentials of life right in our local community. It is time that we ramp up that, not just say that’s a good idea, but start acting upon it.
SPEAKER 12 :
I think so, too. And boy, these elections, all this is so important. Trent’s going to stay on the line. We are going to have Representative Ken DeGraff call in. And I know that you know Representative DeGraff because apparently there were some kind of fireworks yesterday down at the state house regarding one of his bills. Good morning, Kim. It’s good to hear Trent and him exposing what’s going on with the continual land grab under the guise of the energy, the renewable energy. energy fraud. House Bill 25-1254 was in committee last night, and it turned into an interesting evening. House Bill 25-1254 was about extending the statute of limitations per President Trump’s executive order on the 28th. Now, this bill preceded that executive order, but it’s in line with it. About expanding the statute of limitations for the genital mutilation surgery, whether it’s either chemical or surgical, because there is a vulnerable population out there that is being preyed upon for ideological purposes and for profit purposes. And the Democrats last night took a hard stand for profit over people, which is not really unexpected, but they’re also very They’re there. They demonstrated how just how hard line they are in this. They’re in their ideology and their willingness to sacrifice to sacrifice kids to this ideology.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, in the bill summary on this, House Bill 25-1254 says the bill requires the causes of action for intentional or negligent acts constituting youth gender transition procedures performed on a youth under 26 years of age must be brought before the youth reaches 38 years of age. So you said there was fireworks on this, Kindergraf? What happened? And you said last night also, which that means it must have been a long day.
SPEAKER 06 :
It was a long day. I think we got out of there around 6.30 or 7. So it wasn’t as long as I anticipated. But the reason for 18 years old is because, one, a kid can’t – the normal statute of limitations on malpractice is two years. Well, a kid doesn’t – you know, a kid that has puberty delay doesn’t know they’ve been harmed for decades possibly. So 18 years old, that’s the age of majority. And then also, the Colorado revised statutes in the health sections, they recognize and they use youth as anybody below age 26. And the reason for that, they’ll say, well, the full comprehension of long-term consequences for an action are not there. So the age 26, just between 18 and 26, allows that the recognition that people in this area, especially, you know, with spectral disorders, they, you know, somebody with a spectral disorders noted that, that for, for them, for there would be around closer to age 35, where they start to get the, the social, you know, and this is, that’s not a condemnation or anything. That’s just, that’s just them sharing the, their, their understanding of the medical facts. And then 20 years, because so 18 plus 20 years, And then, but really with the allowance for 26, you know, for the understanding of consequences before it reverts back to the two years. And that’s so that somebody that is harmed before the age of 18, they have, you know, they have some time. And we’ve had, we had several witnesses come on and say, you know, that they were transitioned in that timeframe and You know, they didn’t understand. It was just heartbreaking to hear, I mean, some serious courage to come on and testify to what happened. But, you know, and then one of them just said, July, I think, said that I shouldn’t have had to figure this out when I was, you know, in my 20s. I mean, that all of this stuff, all of the surgeries, all of the hormones, all of the, you know, the physically and psychological issues, damage from those things wasn’t really didn’t solve the problem because it wasn’t the issue. And then they find out, you know, when they’re 26, 27, that they were misdiagnosed and they didn’t need to go through all of that. And, you know, that there should be some there should be some ramifications. So the bill was about protecting people and saying, hey, you really just according to Debbie Path and the cast files that you really need to do your due diligence before you start cutting.
SPEAKER 12 :
Absolutely, and that’s both pharmaceutically or surgically. Trent Luce, you know Representative DeGraff. I know you were down at the Statehouse regarding something on energy, I think, when you were here for the National Western.
SPEAKER 07 :
It was a CO2 entombment that is being proposed, and unfortunately I didn’t have the stamina of Representative DeGraff. I had to leave before I had the opportunity to speak, and I just want to say I’m thankful that somebody takes up this cause Because as we talk about reducing the availability of food, reducing the availability of electricity, that’s an attack on humanity. And that’s exactly what Representative DeGraff just walked us through. We have a literal evil attack on humanity. And fortunately, we have people willing to stand up and say, I’m going to swim upstream and do what’s best for the future of mankind.
SPEAKER 12 :
And that’s what Representative DeGraff is doing there. So fireworks, what happened? And we’ve got just about a couple minutes left, Representative DeGraff.
SPEAKER 06 :
Sure. I mean, there’s more ideological fireworks because after the fact, and I did my closing statements, and then the Democrats, who most of them weren’t even in there for listening to the witness statements, basically dismissed what they said, dismissed their experiences, declared that the bill was about attacking the trans community as opposed to trying to protect the vulnerable in that community. And again, the debupath on their side stated that there are at least 30% of the people want to detransition. So that means a 30% misdiagnosis rate, which means you’re talking in the extreme risk category. So they just They just went on an ideological tirade about how the Republican Party was trying to erase trans when what we’re trying to do is say, hey, you need to, you know, because accountable people welcome accountability and accountable practitioners welcome accountability. And that accountability through the form of liability would make it so that. these practitioners have to go through all of the steps, make sure that they are 100% sure before they start, you know, committing to altering kids permanently with a permanent cosmetic solution to a temporary psychological problem, because we know the vast majority of them will come out on the other side of puberty accepting who they are after they’ve After they’ve gone through the discomfort and confusion of puberty, they come out on the other end and go, okay, now, and they’re fine. But they want to start cutting, and they want to start altering before that, and it’s really tragic.
SPEAKER 12 :
It is tragic. Representative DeGraff, thank you for standing in the gap for our children and humanity on this. So thank you on that. Trent, we’ve got about a minute left. How would you like to wrap all this up? We talked about it so much.
SPEAKER 07 :
I love your analogy, standing in the gap. And for those of us that have been standing in the gap with a herd of cows and trying to keep them all gathered up so we can manage them, you get run over once in a while and you have to get up, dust yourself off and say, I’m going to stand in that gap again. And don’t sit back and think that myself or Kim or Representative DeGraff is standing in the gap. I don’t need to. It’s a motivation for everybody to be a dutiful citizen as the Constitution of the United States says that we need to be in order that we can bring back true humanity instead of allow it to be eroded.
