Our conversation this week also highlights the waste within government agencies as Joey Hudson takes over the microphone in Mike Gallagher’s absence. With Donald Trump’s administration focused on eliminating unnecessary spending, we delve into the implications of these cuts, particularly as Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins discusses strategies to revitalize America’s agricultural sector. From advances in policy implementation to the reality of budget cuts, you’ll gain an understanding of what it takes to lead effectively in today’s political environment.

SPEAKER 15 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior. From the Relief Factor Studios, here’s Mike Gellert.
SPEAKER 02 :
Actually, Joey Hudson in for Mike Gallagher. We have a very special show for you today as I’m in studio and Mike is at the White House. He’ll be reporting in with us from time to time throughout the show today. We have a lot to cover today, as always. The much anticipated Sean Hannity interview with President Donald Trump and Elon Musk was last night. We have some of those highlights for you. And remember all those pardons that Joe Biden handed out as he was leaving the White House? Well, one of those was a cop killer. He murdered in cold blood, shot them in the head, two FBI agents with an AR-15. Even Bill Clinton and Barack Obama refused to pardon him. Joe Biden, he set him free, and he went home this week to a hero’s welcome. Actually had a party, a welcome home party at a casino near the area where he slaughtered these two FBI agents. We have that for you as well. It was an interesting interview last night with Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Sean Hannity, You know, we’ve been hearing about this, knew it was going to be aired last night. And, you know, I think one of the takeaways for me was these are just two guys who really like one another. They’re friends. And they love our country. They love America. And they want to do things to help us. In the opening moments of the interview, Hannity started on sort of a light note, joking with Trump and with Musk about the fact that he had just settled a major lawsuit. And you may recall, Trump had sued what was Twitter, now X, after Elon Musk purchased it. He had sued them for defamation and other charges because they had canceled him. They had taken him off of the platform, silenced him during the election. In cut number one, Hannity asked Elon Musk, well, how do you feel about the idea that your company just paid the guy sitting beside you $10 million?
SPEAKER 16 :
I’ve got to start with this. So he’s working for free with Doge. He’s he’s kind of put a lot of his life on hold. And you sued Twitter a number of years ago. You just made him pay you ten million dollars. That’s right.
SPEAKER 08 :
That’s right. I sued from long before he had it. Yeah. And I mean, they really did a number on me, you know, and I sued and they had to pay. They pay ten million dollar settlement.
SPEAKER 14 :
You’re OK with that? I mean, I left it up to the lawyers and, you know, the team running Twitter. So I said, you guys do what you think is the right. It makes sense. I think it’s fine.
SPEAKER 08 :
I think it’s a very low. I was looking to get much more money than that. So you gave him a discount on the loss. Oh, he got a big discount. I don’t think he even knows about it.
SPEAKER 02 :
I was looking for more money. I mean, $10 million, that’s a nice size check. But it would have to be somewhat unusual. Now, look, $10 million to Elon Musk, that’s pocket change. You and I could live very comfortable on $10 million for the rest of our lives. But to these two guys, that’s not a whole lot of money. But it would have to be a little unusual, wouldn’t it, to have this guy who’s volunteering his time, literally upended his life to help make your administration successful. And now your company has to write him a check for $10 million. But one point, and this is what I’m saying, this whole interview, when you watched it last night and you just really see that these two guys like one another. And Elon Musk has a great respect for Donald Trump and is very evident. At one point, Musk stopped Hannity in cut number three, and he made it very clear. He said, I love the president.
SPEAKER 16 :
If you really didn’t believe the media, he’d become one of your best friends. He’s working for free for you. Well, I love the president. I just want to be clear about that. You don’t care about that? I know. I love the president. You love the president.
SPEAKER 14 :
I think President Trump is a good man. And he’s, you know… That’s the way he said that, you know? There’s something nice about it. There really is. You know, because, I mean… The president has been so unfairly attacked in the media. It’s really outrageous. And at this point, I spent a lot of time with the president. And not once have I seen him do something that was mean or cruel or wrong. Not once.
SPEAKER 02 :
Now, that was just a nice moment between Elon Musk and Donald Trump. Look, Musk… doesn’t need to be doing this. And with all of the people who are just literally attacking him, going after him, saying that he has no place, he’s not an official representative of our government, he’s not an employee of the government, he doesn’t have to be. The president can appoint anyone he wants within the executive branch to do anything he wants them to do. And that’s what he has Elon Musk doing there. That’s his job. But it’s also what we saw last night just painted the picture of two guys, two friends, again, who love our country and see things that need to be done, see things that will change our country to the better. Hannity also brought up the elephant in the room last night, so to speak, asking the two of them if they understand what the mainstream media is trying to do as far as drive a wedge between the two of them, try to do something that would damage their friendship. And cut number two, Hannity asked them, are you aware of what’s happening and what they’re trying to do? They’re trying to get the two of you to start arguing between one another.
SPEAKER 16 :
You’re both aware, you have to be keenly aware that the media and the punditry class, not that, you know, I think you’ve proven they have no power anymore because they threw everything they had at you and they didn’t win. And that was, you know, the New York Times, Washington Post, three networks, every late night comedy show, two cable channels. They just threw everything, lawfare, weaponization. Sure. And now I see they want you two to start, they want a divorce. They want you two to start hating each other. And they try, oh, President Elon Musk, for example. You do know that they’re doing that to you.
SPEAKER 08 :
Oh, I see it all the time. They tried it, then they stopped. They have many different things of hatred. Actually, Elon called me. He said, you know, they’re trying to drive us apart. I said, absolutely. They said, we have breaking news. Donald Trump has ceded control of the presidency to Elon Musk. President Musk will be attending a cabinet meeting tonight at 8 o’clock. And I say, it’s just so obvious. They’re so bad at it. I used to think they were good at it. They’re actually bad at it. Because if they were good at it, I’d never be president. Because I think nobody in history has ever gotten more bad publicity than me. I could do the greatest things. I get 98% bad publicity. I could do, outside of you and a few of your very good friends, it’s like the craziest thing. But you know what I have learned, Elon? The people are smart. They get it.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah, they do.
SPEAKER 08 :
They get it. They really see what’s happening.
SPEAKER 02 :
The American people do get it. We do understand that this is what the mainstream media is trying to do. They can’t beat Trump. They know that we’re going to have four good years of Trump. Now he’s brought Elon Musk, this whiz kid. I guess he’s not a kid anymore. This very smart man to help our country. And no, we’re not going to let the mainstream media tell us what we think about Elon Musk. 800-655-MIKE, 1-800-655-6453. I’m Joey Hudson. I’m in studio today. Mike Gallagher is at the White House today. We’ll be checking in with him in just a moment.

SPEAKER 13 :
The Mike Gallagher Show. The gravy train for a lot of these folks, it’s been on biscuit wheels, and it’s about to run off the dead gum tracks, and it’s about time. Could you imagine standing up here and defending waste, fraud, and abuse? But I think that’s what we’re seeing. When people squeal and don’t ask questions, I think it shows the American public what the heck’s going on.
SPEAKER 15 :
In the relieffactor.com studios, here’s Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 02 :
Joey Hudson in for Mike today as he is at the White House, and we hope to be checking in with him soon to get a report. He’ll be doing some interviews throughout the morning that some he’ll share with you tomorrow, and hopefully we’ll be able to check in with Mike here in just a few minutes. You know that clip that we just shared with you there where – A lot of the Democrats, Chuck Schumer leading the effort, are pushing back and trying to keep the Trump administration from weeding out the waste, the abuse, the fraud. And I just can’t wrap my brain around why anybody would object to that. Why would even a Democrat object? the farthest left Democrat in the U.S. House or the U.S. Senate, why would they object to someone like Elon Musk using his business ability to go in, take a fresh look at an agency, and make suggestions on how it can be run in a better way? How waste can be deleted? How abuse… can be sought out and eliminated. Why would they object to this? I mean, I’ve literally tried to imagine what they’re thinking. Now, I understand they hate Donald Trump, but by trying to stop him from doing what the American people ask him to do, are they not really showing their true colors and how much they hate our country? How could you love our country and not want to see us get back on track, balance our budget, eliminate our debt? Elon Musk, in his interview last night with President Trump and Sean Hannity, made it very clear that if we don’t do something now, our country’s going to go bankrupt. In cut number four, Musk talked about how our country, now’s the time. We don’t have a whole lot of time left if we don’t get this train back on the tracks. Here’s Elon Musk.
SPEAKER 14 :
The overall goal is to try to get a trillion dollars out of the deficit. And if the deficit is not brought under control, America will go bankrupt. This is a very important thing for people to understand. A country is no different from an individual in that if an individual overspends, an individual can go bankrupt. And so can a country. And the massive waste, war, and abuse that has been going on, which is leading to a $2 trillion a year deficit, that’s what the president was handed on Jan. 20th, a $2 trillion deficit. It’s insane.
SPEAKER 02 :
It’s almost like we have become so accustomed… to deficit spending that we’re numb to it now. You know, there was a time in my lifetime where we balanced the budget and where we frowned upon deficit spending. But it’s like, even Republicans, look, we’ve had control of the U.S. House and U.S. Senate before when we have spent more than we took in. But Elon Musk had been very clear And we all have known it. But by his organization going in and literally giving us examples of some of the fraud, some of the abuse, some of the waste, it just brings it full center, doesn’t it? A texter on the MyPillow text line says, I was struck by Musk always and only respectfully and probably intentionally referring to Trump as the president, not by first name, last name, or nickname, but as president. Trump, however, used Musk as first name, showing a friendship. And, you know, I noticed that, too. But that’s what you do when you’re sitting there with the President of the United States. I don’t care how good of friends you are. And in private, he may call him Donald. But in public, he’s always the President. And that’s just Musk showing his respect by referring to him as the President. You know, there was one point, too, in last night’s interview – If you saw any of it, you noticed that Musk was wearing his official uniform, a T-shirt, a black T-shirt. And last night it had tech support on it. And in cut number five, he’s very clear that he views himself as just someone working for Donald Trump, as Donald Trump’s tech support.
SPEAKER 14 :
I’m a technologist, and I try to make technologies that improve the world and make life better. You can show your shirt. Yeah, and that’s why I like my T-shirt that says tech support, because I’m here to provide the president with technology support. Now, that may seem like, well, is that a silly thing? But actually, it’s a very important thing, because the president will make these executive orders, which are very sensible and good for the country, but then they don’t get implemented, you know? So… If you take, for example, all the funding for the migrant hotels, the president issued an executive order, hey, we need to stop taking taxpayer money and paying for luxury hotels for illegal immigrants, which makes no sense. Obviously, people do not want their tax dollars going to fund high-end hotels for illegals. And yet they were still doing that, even as late as last week. And so, you know, we went in there and we’re like, this is a violation of the presidential executive order. It needs to stop. So what we’re doing here is one of the biggest functions of the Doge team is just making sure that the presidential executive orders are actually carried out. And this is—I just want to point out, this is a very important thing, because the president is the elected representative of the people, so he’s representing the will of the people. And if the bureaucracy is fighting the will of the people and preventing the president from implementing what the people want, then what we live in is a bureaucracy and not a democracy.
SPEAKER 02 :
That’s a good point, and several times, and even President Trump gave Musk credit for the idea that he came to him and said, you know, Mr. President, you can sign an executive order, but if they don’t take it seriously or if it’s not implemented, it means nothing, and showed the president how he needed to allow – Musk and his team to hand deliver that executive order to whatever agency it is affecting and making sure, watching over them, making sure they implement it. That’s a good point. Very valid point. 800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453. You can send me a quick text on the MyPillow text line. I always use promo code MikeG when you go to MyPillow.com to place your order. Phone calls are welcome. Teresa will put you in queue. We’ll talk as time permits us. Let’s go to the phones. Todd is in Atlanta. Welcome, Todd. You’re on the Mike Gallagher Show.
SPEAKER 05 :
Hey, thanks for taking my call. I just wanted to say that the nation isn’t bankrupting the government. The government is bankrupting the nation.
SPEAKER 02 :
Bingo.
SPEAKER 05 :
And, you know, we’ve been fighting this for a long time. I went to a lot of Tea Party rallies back, you know, 10 years ago, 15 years ago. And, you know, I recall when Newt Gingrich, we actually had a ballot budget before 9-11 happened. So, you know, and these bureaucrats are unelected. They are… Who knows where this money is going? And this is the first time in my lifetime that I’ve ever been able to actually see under the hood of all these agencies. And they’re unionized. They’re all – 90 percent of them vote Democrat, unelected bureaucrats. Who knows where this money is actually ending up? I think it’s going back into their coffers. And they can’t stand that they’re being exposed. And I love what Trump and those are doing.
SPEAKER 02 :
They’re terrified, Todd, because, you know, this has happened in less than a month. I mean, tomorrow will be the one-month mark of Donald Trump’s second administration. And look at what’s already happened. in this short period of time and they’re terrified of what can actually happen over the next four years and you’re right this is the first time that the american people have been able to see on black and white you know see this printed on on a piece of paper the billions and billions of dollars that’s being wasted on programs that are just i mean they’re hideous some of the things that we’re seeing that that our money’s going to and and so they’re terrified at what They know what else is out there, and they’re terrified that Elon Musk is going to find it.
SPEAKER 05 :
And they’ll trace it back to them.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yes, exactly. Exactly. Hey, appreciate your phone call, Todd. Have a great day. 800-655-6453, one line open for you. Chuck is in Sarasota, Florida. Welcome to the Mike Gallagher Show, Chuck. Hey, Chuck, you with us? Okay, I guess we lost Chuck. But, you know, Todd makes a good point there. You can go to the website, to Doge’s website. Let’s see, it’s just doge.gov. And right now, when you go to doge.gov, they have their wall of receipts. And you can go through there and you can see some of the latest – expenditures that have been cut. For example, from the Department of Homeland Security, they’ve been able to find over $8 billion in savings now. The Agency for International Development, I’m not quite sure what they do, but they’ve been able to identify over $6 billion in savings. Department of Education, over a billion. And, hey, when they just completely eliminate the Department of Education, That number is going to be even larger, which that’s a good discussion point. You know, there’s a lot of speculation that maybe we’ve been talking about possibly eliminating the Department of Education for years now. Donald Trump seems to be intent on doing this. And if it’s ever going to be eliminated, this is the time that it will be. How do you feel about that? I mean, do you agree that education is better being regulated, being formulated at the local level? Can our local school boards and even our State Department of Education, can we send that money, for example, in my home state of South Carolina to the South Carolina Department of Education, our superintendent, Ellen Weaver? who’s a great person, can we send that money to her for her to funnel it down to the local school districts and it be better spent? Are you good with that? Do we need a Department of Education at the federal level? 800-655-6453. Love to get your comments. You can text me on the MyPillow text line as well, 800-655-6453. I’m Joey Hudson. In for Mike today. Mike is at the White House, and we’re hoping to be able to check in with him at some point to get an update. And we’ve got a busy, busy day for you. SPEAKER 02 :
Mike Gallagher. As we continue this special broadcast of the Mike Gallagher Show today, I’m Joey Hudson. In studio as Mike is at the White House, a special day where members of talk radio and other media were invited to the White House to get a chance to meet with a number of cabinet members, senior leaders in the Trump administration, and just meet this all-star team who is working so hard for the American people. On her first official trip as President Trump’s on his cabinet, Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins traveled to Kentucky last week to meet with farmers and other leaders in the agricultural community. And I’m happy to say that she joins us on our guest line today. Madam Secretary, welcome and how are you?
SPEAKER 01 :
I’m great. How are you?
SPEAKER 02 :
I am wonderful. It’s a pleasure to have you. Before we get into some of the issues that we’re going to talk about today, take us behind the scenes, if you will, and tell us about the process. When did you know that President Trump was going to nominate you to be his Secretary of Ag?
SPEAKER 01 :
Well, actually, this is so fun that you asked this because I haven’t told it publicly yet, but it’s an amazing story. So what your listeners may not know is I worked for the president in the last White House year two, three and four of term one. I ran his domestic policy agenda, got to work right alongside him. And then in the intervening four years, I like to call it the great pause. During the Great Pause, I built the America First Policy Institute and really was working to prepare for the next administration so that when President Trump won again and he went in with his new administration, that the shock and awe would start on day one. And so now did I expect to be part of that cabinet? I actually did not. I was shocked. Really happy to keep helping on the outside. I was building a 100-year infrastructure along with other amazing patriots at America First Policy and America First Works. My husband and I and our four kids were driving in our motorhome from Texas to Alabama to watch the Aggies play Auburn in a football game. We won’t talk about the outcome of the game on this show because it did not go our way, but it seems very appropriate now and maybe providential as we’re driving across Mississippi. In Texas and Alabama, I got a call from the president and we discussed being his 33rd secretary of agriculture. I was honored, obviously, beyond belief, the opportunity to fight for American agriculture, our farmers and our ranchers. The backbone of this country is truly the greatest honor and the best job in the world.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah. You mentioned those four years, you know, those were painful years for us. But, you know, God works in mysterious ways. And I’ve just got to believe that maybe we needed those four years to really prepare for the next four years, eight years, 12 years, whatever that is. Do you feel like that’s the case?
SPEAKER 01 :
I 100 percent do. And I’ll tell you, I the White House before, I’m so proud of all those accomplishments. And, you know, right. Energy independence, a secure border, the lowest poverty rates on record. I mean, it was one win after another, but it was almost a miracle. Maybe it was because we didn’t really we’re not good at government on our side. Right. We’re good at building businesses. and raising families. The left really bows to the altar of government and climate, and that’s their fastball. That’s what they live for, is to accumulate power and to make decisions for people instead of letting people make their own decisions, which is what we believe. And what I realized in the last White House is that If we can prepare, if we can build a bench, if we start to get ready for the next White House and then the one after that, and then the one 100 years from now, we’ve got the truth and God on our side. And when you have that and you add a plan to it, you can win. And that’s what I learned in the last White House. So while we were devastated on November 4th of 2020, when that election was, we believe, was taken from us, And I knew that we had to begin to plan immediately. I didn’t know President Trump would be the next one to go in, but I knew that whomever it was, that if we were prepared, we could actually save a country. And I believe that God gave us those four years to be able to prepare and do that.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah. On our guest line today, Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins. President Trump has asked all federal agencies, of course, to review and to cut wasteful spending. In this short time that you’ve been on the job, because you just took the oath of office last week, what have you been able to identify so far in the Department of Agriculture?
SPEAKER 01 :
Well, it has been just a remarkable couple of days. Within my first 24 hours, we announced the ending date 1,000 DEI, diversity, equity, and inclusion, which basically means dividing us. We announced 1,000 of those being canceled for good. We’ve begun to roll back all of the climate, the Green New Deal efforts. We have been laying off a lot of the 106,000 USDA employees. I’m still getting my arms around it. Obviously, the United States Department of Agriculture is one of the most important and ensuring that the backbone of our country, our farmers and ranchers, can succeed. But when you’ve got 106,000 employees and 80% of your budget is the food stamp program, which is under USDA, you know that there is a tremendous amount of opportunity to streamline, make more efficient, and ensure that our taxpayers are getting the most for their money. So that’s what we’ve really been focused on, and you’ll be hearing a lot more about that going forward.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah. You had the opportunity to be in Kentucky last week meeting with farmers. What was top of mind for those farmers that you met with?
SPEAKER 01 :
Well, and not only was I in Kentucky Friday, I was in Kansas Monday, Missouri yesterday, headed to Oklahoma on next Monday, Georgia soon after. I’m really planning to try to be in the country talking to the farmers there. and the ranchers. As much as I’m talking to anybody else, I think that’s so important. Listen, we are facing, in perhaps 100 years, the most difficult time in the ag community economically. Under the Joe Biden four years, our exports went from being a plus 50 billion, meaning that we were shipping our ag products out of this country when Trump left office four years ago, to a $45 billion export deficit that we’re facing after four years of Biden. Our inputs, The cost, of course, not surprising to all of your listeners. Inflation has gone out of control. But it is now 30% more expensive for our farmers and ranchers to do business, to provide what they provided just four years ago, 30% more expensive. We’ve lost 140,000 family farms. in recent history. This is not sustainable. We can’t keep going if we want an ag industry. So these are all massive issues. Of course, immediately the avian flu, which hits everybody because of the cost of eggs we’ve all seen at the grocery store. We’ve got some pretty big issues to tackle, but I feel so strongly that with President Trump’s leadership and hopefully I’ll be able to help in my perch that we’re going to be able to tackle all of that successfully in very short order.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah. Secretary Brooke Rollins, it’s a pleasure to have you with us today. Thank you for your time. Thank you for what you’re doing, and we’re going to expect big things in the next four years.
SPEAKER 01 :
Well, I love you guys. The Mike Gallagher Show, you are always and have always been such great friends of this administration. And I’ll come on any time you need me, so thank you for the opportunity.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, we’ll certainly take you up on that. Have a wonderful day.
SPEAKER 01 :
You too. Bye-bye.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yes. Secretary Brooke Rollins with the Department of Agriculture. It’s going to be fun to watch this. And this is just one of many instances with the various agencies that they’re going to dig deep. And there’s something that can be cut in every agency, and we’re seeing that already in these early days of the Trump administration. I’m Joey Hudson, in for Mike today. Appreciate you being with us.
SPEAKER 06 :
I will put America first.
SPEAKER 07 :
It’ll help you follow President Trump at the speed of Trump.
SPEAKER 15 :
The Mike Gallagher Show.
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, this is a country founded by immigrants.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, this is a country founded by… This is a very unique country, and it was founded by some immigrants and some settlers, but just because we were founded by immigrants doesn’t mean that 240 years later that we have to have the dumbest immigration policy in the world.
SPEAKER 15 :

Thanks for taking my call. Sure. I hope you can help me out. I pride myself on being a pretty good student of history. I’m trying to remember the last time an American president criticized an ally for defending themselves against being invaded.
SPEAKER 02 :
The situation now with Russia? What situation are you referencing now? Ukraine and Russia?
SPEAKER 04 :
How many allies are we criticizing for defending themselves against being invaded? Yeah, Ukraine.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 04 :
When was the last time we did that? Do you recall?
SPEAKER 02 :
Do you support our efforts in Ukraine? Do you think we should continue to send billions of dollars there?
SPEAKER 04 :
Do you remember when the U.S. started World War II?
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah. Well, I wasn’t alive then, but look, here’s the point, David. I think people, the American people, they saw what Joe Biden, the corruption in Ukraine, They saw Joe Biden’s relationship with Ukraine. They saw the fact that the first son, Hunter Biden, was paid millions of dollars by an energy company in Ukraine. We just don’t necessarily trust Ukraine to spend the billions of dollars that we’re spending there. Plus the fact we can’t take care of the world. It’s not our job. We need to take care of ourselves. So, you know, I think President Trump is right. First off, had he been president, it would have never started anyway. So it’s time to stop it. It’s time to move on. We can’t keep sending billions of dollars to a country like Ukraine or any other country, for that matter. We have to support our allies to a degree, but we’ve got to take care of ourselves. Jeff is in Indianapolis. Welcome, Jeff. Hello, Turk. What’s on your mind today?
SPEAKER 03 :
My mind is, hell, these states are misusing federal funds. Indiana is doing it real bad.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
They’re taking federal funds and passing them. One county will pass their federal funds to another county to blackball somebody that they don’t like because they can’t prove what. I’ve been accused. I’m kind of like Donald Trump. I’ve been accused of everything and never been convicted of anything because they can’t get nothing on me. I’m innocent, and I’ve done proved I’m innocent.
SPEAKER 02 :
Well, you make a good point, Jeff, in that, yes, these local governments that receive federal funding, yes, there’s abuse at all levels. That’s why I love the idea that the whole concept of Doge is being considered at other levels of government. It’s not something that has to be only at the federal level. I know in my home state of South Carolina, We have a bill right now being considered by our legislature that will establish a South Carolina Doge-like commission. There will be members of this commission appointed by the governor, by the legislature. No one on the commission can be an elected official. with the idea that these people will go through our state spending. We have the same thing being discussed at local levels, on county council, school boards, city councils. And that’s what we need to do. We need to look at every single government program and look at it through the eyes of, do we still need this? Is it still doing what we thought it would do when it was established? And nothing should be protected. Nothing. If they’re doing what they should be doing and if it’s still useful. I mean, there are situations, things that I’ve read about. that have been uncovered in these just few short weeks of the Trump administration. Organizations that receive money, nonprofit organizations, who have been receiving it for decades, and they don’t even do the same mission. They’re not even in business for the same mission that they started years ago, but they keep taking the money. So it’s time to check it, and we have to assume that there is fraud at every level. We have to assume that, yes, people at the local level, people at the state level, they’re taking our money, and it’s time to stop. And if you saw the interview last night with Elon Musk and President Trump, Elon Musk is a man on a mission, and he has the ability to do it. his people can go in and they can uncover things that the typical bureaucrat would never even think of. It is truly, when we say it’s a new day, it is truly a new day. Derek is in Illinois. Welcome, Derek.
SPEAKER 12 :
Hi, welcome. Thank you for taking my call. Sure. You had a previous caller who talked about the elections, and I just said, I just called your… caller, lady, and I have an idea. I had an idea for a while, which hasn’t caught fire yet, but I think we should have coded ballots so that we could vote and we have a code on the ballot, and then we could take that code as a receipt and verify it. You know, we could have it both paper ballots and have it all recorded. on the computer so we could get the results right away, but we could also verify it. Like the next day, go in and check our code and see if our ballot was counted correctly because our ballot would be there on the screen. We could verify it. So we could not only have perfect elections, we could verify it, and everybody knows… their ballot counted and counted correctly.
SPEAKER 02 :
Make sure that it was counted the way you submitted it. I get it. Look, there’s always room for improvement with how we operate, conduct our elections. I’ve never understood why it takes so long. Look, you can do things online now where you get instant response. You can place an order with Amazon, and you get an immediate confirmation, and the package shows up on your doorstep the next day. We just have to make sure that we are using – and look, hey, Elon Musk may get involved in election integrity as well. He may get involved in looking at our election system and how we do that. There’s a lot to do here, for sure. I’m Joey Hudson. End for Mike Gallagher today as he’s at the White House. And, boy, what a busy day we have.
