Well, they take away our rights, our property, freedom, livelihood, opportunities. They’re taking away kids’ childhood and their lives via force. And there’s a lot of different things in that list.

And, you know, I think it was a year or two ago I said that list is just going to get longer and longer and longer. And, you know, fortunately, the election of Donald Trump is going to help just slightly. We might have the bureaucrats a little bit scared right now about how much they’re adding to that list.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and I find this so interesting, Alan, and I hadn’t really thought about it until yesterday. Somebody had sent a meme regarding SpongeBob SquarePants, and the first one was he’s skipping along the road, happy as anything, and it says, the left’s reactions when people lost their jobs because they refused the vaccine. And then the next one, he’s going crazy, and it says, now the left’s reaction when bureaucrats are losing their jobs. And I hadn’t really connected that dot, but it’s true.
SPEAKER 07 :
It’s absolutely true. And, you know, the other thing that kind of drives me crazy is you sit here and they’re like, oh, my gosh, Donald Trump had a hiring freeze for the federal workforce. And it’s like, well, Joe Biden did the same thing when he got elected. Some of this is just the turnover administration. You know, Barack Obama fired a whole lot of George W. Bush appointees to the Justice Department. But now that Trump does it, oh, my goodness, the world’s going to end. Right.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and Kane, yesterday, Daniel Turner made a really good point, is day one, Joe Biden canceled the Keystone Pipeline and 14,000 people lost their jobs with that.
SPEAKER 09 :
So we have to look at the left and the media and the Hollywood type. They’re fraudulent. During COVID, how many businesses were shut down? True. How many jobs were lost? Not one lefty stood up and says, this is insane what we’re doing to our American public. Thousands, tens of thousands of jobs gone. Businesses that have been around for 50, 60, 70 years are gone because of COVID. But there’s no tears for them. All of this is fraud. They just want to demonize Trump at every opportunity they can. And they’re liars. And, Kim, you know I just speak the truth.
SPEAKER 10 :
And I say they’re non-truths.
SPEAKER 09 :
Because you’re sweet and I’m not. They are, like the media, pathetic, lying, teleprompter reading harlot. Every last one of them.
SPEAKER 10 :
And your wife said, don’t yell today, okay?
SPEAKER 09 :
Oh, Joe’s not here to help me either.
SPEAKER 07 :
What were you going to say, Alan? Oh, I was just going to say for the first time, it’s popular with the public. Like their lies and deceit is not going anywhere because the public is fed up with all of that Doge’s finding. This waste, this deceit, these billions of dollars that have been lost to these pet projects. It’s like for once the public is like, you know what? I don’t feel too sorry for the way he’s taken a hatchet to the federal government. How often can you cry wolf before people go, oh, I’m done with this?
SPEAKER 10 :
And these protests, it’s comical. They’re out there. They’re protesting that they want waste, fraud, and abuse, right?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yes, yes. It’s insane. Well, I’ll cover that later. That will eat me down, a 10-minute tyrant there. Okay.

And this is a good word, and you can spell it. It’s U-B-I-Q-U-I-T-O-U-S, and it could be existing or being everywhere at the same time. So, for example, God is ubiquitous and on our earth, right? Right, Ella?

Right. And I forgot how I use it in the essay, but probably to the point that the deep state is pretty ubiquitous in our lives.

I think that’s what you said. Exactly. So, gentlemen, I I had intended I was going to email this to you. Then I thought we were going to have time this morning. And then I just threw this at you. But as you know, today is Friday. So it’s our Medal of Honor quote. And so I’ve taken this from the Medal of Honor quote book from the Center for American Values. And you can buy that by going to AmericanValueCenter.org. But with that, I wanted to have each of you take half of this because I think it’s good to have these different voices. And so you’ve not had a chance to look at this. And intrepidity is a word that can get us kind of tripped up a bit. But, gentlemen, if you will try this. Cain, I think I’ll start with you. And then you saw where I said then you’ll give it to Alan on this. Because this is a quote by Sammy. L. Davis. And it’s a pretty long citation because it’s pretty amazing. I met him down at the Center for American Values. They did an On Values presentation. And he was born in 1946. And this is actions he took on November 18, 1967. So, Cain, if you would start with the citation.

I will. In the future, bigger font formula. Sorry about that. That’s okay. Here we go. For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty, Sergeant Davis, then PFC, distinguished himself during the early morning hours while serving as a I don’t know what that is, with Battery C. At a remote fire support base at approximately 0-200 hours, the support base was under heavy enemy mortar attack simultaneously on an estimated reinforced vehicle. Viet Cong battalion launched a fierce ground assault upon the fire support base. The attacking enemy drove to within 25 meters of the friendly position. Only in the river Only a river separated the Viet Cong from the fire support base. Detecting a nearby enemy position, Sergeant Davis seized a machine gun and provided a covering fire. It’s the font, I guess. Yeah, I know it. I’m so sorry.

Yes, that’s a good idea.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay, I’ll do that because I just threw this at you, and the font is pretty small. So, detecting a nearby enemy position, Sergeant Davis seized a machine gun and provided covering fire for his gun crew as they attempted to bring direct artillery fire on the enemy. Despite his efforts, an enemy recoilless rifle round scored a direct hit upon the artillery piece. The resultant blast hurled the gun crew from their weapon and blew Sergeant Davis into a foxhole. He struggled to his feet and returned to the howitzer, which was burning furiously. ignoring repeated warnings to seek cover sergeant davis rammed a shell into the gun and then disregarding a withering hail of enemy fire directed against his position he aimed and fired the howitzer which rolled backward knocking sergeant davis violently to the ground okay alan
SPEAKER 07 :
Undaunted, he returned to the weapon to fire again when an enemy mortar round exploded within 20 meters of his position, injuring him painfully. Nevertheless, Sergeant Davis unloaded the artillery piece, aimed, and fired. Again, he was knocked down by the recoil. In complete disregard for his safety, Sergeant Davis loaded and fired three more shells at the enemy. Disregarding his extensive injuries and his inability to swim, Sergeant Davis picked up an air mattress and struck out across the deep river to rescue three wounded comrades on the far side. Upon reaching the three wounded men, he stood upright and fired into the dense vegetation to prevent the Viet Cong from advancing. While the most seriously wounded soldier was helpless across the river, Sergeant Davis protected the two remaining casualties until he could pull them across the river to a fire support base. Though suffering from painful wounds, he refused medical attention, joining another howitzer crew which fired at the large Viet Cong force until it broke contact and fled. Sergeant Davis’ extraordinary heroism at the risk of his life is in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the U.S. Army.

Well, and you invited me to go with you, and I am jealous. I would love to be with you. But give us an update. What’s happening? It sounds pretty exciting.
SPEAKER 21 :
Oh, it’s incredibly exciting. And I got here yesterday afternoon just in time to see Pam Bondi and Ted Cruz being interviewed. And the lineup was just bam, bam, bam, one amazing guest after another. And the surprise guest was Elon Musk. And that was just amazing to see him. And Javier Mure, the president of Argentina, ran onto the stage with a giant chainsaw and handed it to Elon Musk and passed that file.
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, my gosh. So now you had texted me. You said you should have gone a day early because you missed Vance, though, right?
SPEAKER 21 :
Yeah, he was the opening speaker on Thursday morning. And I I think that his speech is definitely available. In fact, people can go on to CPAC dot com or no dot org and and hear all the speeches and live. I believe they’re on C-SPAN so people can still see what’s going on, even if they’re not here. And I’m here with friends from Virginia, North Carolina, California, and Oklahoma. And we’re all getting together today to hear the speeches. And This year, it’s a bit different from 22. When I came back then, it was mostly politicians, congresspeople and senators speaking. And this year, it’s a lot of people that are just active in the political sphere. Steve Bannon spoke yesterday, and then Ben Shapiro and all of the other hosts from Daily Wire and Elon, of course. And today, I think that one of the highlights is gonna be Megan Kelly, who’s a wonderful spokesperson for truth and clarity, which I know is your theme.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, absolutely. And Sybil, you and I met through the Boulder Tapas and Topics group. And your journey is just so interesting. And your book, Sybil Writes, it’s quite a story. But you grew up in New York, then you were in Hollywood all these years. And here you are now, I think one of the most fascinating, fervent conservatives that I know so focused on conserving these principles of our founding. It’s quite the story, Sybil Gardner.
SPEAKER 21 :
Oh, thank you. Yeah, it’s been a pretty crazy journey. And in fact, last night I went out to dinner with two of my friends, one of whom is an ex-nun who started a screenwriting program for Christians in Hollywood. That’s how I got to know her because I was a teacher there. And she read my book and she said, if I had known all this about you, I wouldn’t have been your friend. I have a pretty crazy past. But, you know, once you really get a handle on the truth, it’s just impossible if you’re a driven person the way I am to stop broadcasting it and wanting to kind of shake people and wake them up a bit, not, you know. So that’s why I wrote my book. But it has lots of interesting stories. But anyway, I just encourage people to check out CPAC. It’s the Conservative Political Action Conference. I was going to say this, it’s really a once in a lifetime experience, but this is my second time and I’m definitely going to come back. The difference between 22 and 25 is the mood was very similar because back then people expected a red wave in the midterms. And so it was just a brilliant that everybody was so excited, so friendly, every kind of person that you could imagine. And, you know, it’s not just one type of person. And now it’s even more exciting because we won. And the changes, like Steve Bannon said something that I thought was so astute. He said that every one of Trump’s picks for his cabinet is a change agent. They’re not just people who are sort of towing the line of conservatism, but they really want to do deep changes. And as Elon said, that they’re busting the matrix. And that’s so exciting.
SPEAKER 10 :
So who all did you say is on for today then, Megyn Kelly?
SPEAKER 21 :
Well, this morning it’s a lot of international spokespeople because CPAC has expanded around the globe. So it’s in Japan, Korea, Australia, which is going to be very interesting because that’s another country that is fighting for its freedom. And, you know, they have a lot of times they hold the lineup until the last minute, you know, because obviously we’re only about 20 minutes from D.C. In fact, we went in to D.C. last night for dinner and it was just so thrilling to see the White House lit up and the Capitol building and all the monuments. And so I’m hoping that Cash Patel speaks today because you know it’s really funny back in 22 I was such like a political groupie I mean I was I went up and just thanked people so I saw Rick Grinnell I’m a huge fan of his back in 22 and he grabbed my phone and said let’s do a selfie well this year I saw him and I wanted to do that again but he was like surrounded by his little group of people who whisked him out and he gave me a smile but there was no way I was getting a picture and And in 22, I was in the lobby of the hotel back then. It was in Florida. And Cash was sitting in a chair in the lobby, hovered over his computer. And I went by and I just said, hey, nice job, Cash. He looked up and he said, thanks, and then went back to work. Well, I’m sure this year I’m not going to get a chance to say, nice job, Cash. It’s just like all those people that I admired back then are now getting a chance to really make a difference in the country. Kane?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, I was going to say, I saw a YouTube video yesterday of Cash walking down the hallway, and he was surrounded by protection. And so no one’s getting close to these folks now.
SPEAKER 21 :
No, and when Elon was speaking, you could look around and you could just see all of the security there for him. And he told a funny story about getting a call from the president of El Salvador, of Bukele. I’m probably mispronouncing Bukele. Anyway, he got a call from him saying, I’m really worried about you, Elon. People are going to try to kill you. And Elon responded, look, you have 40,000 gangbangers in prison, and you’re worried about me?
SPEAKER 10 :
So speaking of Kash Patel, somebody sent me this short little video, and it has a guy at an office and shredded paper up about, oh, to his waist. And it says FBI headquarters right before Kash arrives. Right.
SPEAKER 21 :
Ben Shapiro also said something that, I mean, everybody has just had a really interesting take on the current situation in our country. And Ben Shapiro said that Trump is not a classic conservative, but he’s somebody who is in reality conservative. because he’s a businessman and you have to know what works, you know, and what doesn’t work. And, um, what they’re realizing is that the bureaucracy was sort of a permanent money pipeline for the left. And so that’s, you know, one of the reasons they’re, they’re freaking out about stocks. Um, So it’s just such an incredibly exciting time to be alive, if you’re sort of on this side of the political spectrum. And I have friends on the other side who are not happy at all. But we’ll see how it shakes out.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and Sybil, you have been, since I’ve known you, you really have been engaged in these conversations with friends. And as you have told me, many of your friends back in Hollywood certainly are on the left. But you have the courage to engage in these conversations with people.
SPEAKER 21 :
Well, I think having trust in God is a big part of it. I mean, that’s when you are… a religious or a Christian or what your faith is, that’s the entity that you want to please, not people. And so I certainly don’t want to make any enemies, but I’m not going to kowtow to baloney. I’m not. You know, if that causes me to lose some friends, so be it. But I’m not trying to lose friends, and I’m happy to engage anybody in conversations. And I guess the journey that I’ve been on for the past few years since I left the Democrat Party is trying to educate myself. So I read for hours a day to just try to get to the truth of things and not And weed through the propaganda, which has been surrounding us for our whole lives and is only now being revealed when we see that USAID has been subsidizing mainstream media for years. I mean, that’s appalling to me.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, it really is. And as you know, I’m an independent voice on an independent station, which means that I buy my airtime. And we saw yesterday that, and I guess Daniel Turner mentioned it, that Stacey Abrams and company got $2 billion from that money that the EPA pushed out the door. I could do a lot of shows for $2 billion, Sybil. Absolutely.
SPEAKER 21 :
Well, that’s why I respect independent journalists like you and megan kelly and you know there are so many of them right now and i i just find it hard to believe that anybody like actually except for my mom whom i love but you know she still watches msnbc and cnn and you just have a very different picture of reality and that is your source for information
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, if I can back up just real quick, Sybil, it is much easier to speak the truth in difficult times when you’re covered by the blood of Jesus.
SPEAKER 21 :
Absolutely. Absolutely. And everybody that I’m, all my friends that I’m here with, there are six of us that came together. We are all Christians, Catholic and Christian. And so that bond of strength and belief is just something that’s irreplaceable by anything else. I mean, I, I didn’t have that font, even though I had so many writer friends in Hollywood, what, what brought us together was our common career. But now the friends that I have in my life, like him, um, there’s so much.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and, uh, Sybil, you had, you gave me a manuscript of your book and, um, Yours is such a great, I’ll just put it this way, yours is such a great story of Christ’s redemption.
SPEAKER 21 :
Well, it’s like the chapter that says so much repenting. Which I’m still doing.
SPEAKER 10 :

As you know, I’ve got this gig, this volunteer gig, as president of the Colorado Union of Taxpayers, which I tell you, this team is amazing that I get to work with. And we have this great technology called Biltrack 50. Ah! You’re not going to believe it. As of this morning, between all of the bills and the resolutions, Alan, do you want to take a guess on how many? I don’t know if you listened to the show yesterday. I don’t even want to hazard a guess. It’s just going to make me cry.

And we’re only to February. When is the end again? May, like May 8th or something like that. Way too late. We don’t need another bill. I’d like to take the time to go through and see how many words that is.

They’re legislating tyranny. All these bills are simply meant to control us, to take away our freedoms and our liberties and our property.
SPEAKER 10 :
There’s a few good ones. Yesterday we had Representative Dan Woog on who had a bill to repeal the delivery fee. But those on the left who say they want to make life more affordable, nope, they wanted to keep that fee on there.
SPEAKER 09 :
And so they didn’t let that get out. And so because the left is in charge, we do have a few bills. I was supposed to speak for Bradley County. Brandy Bradley yesterday. But they don’t have a system where it’s efficient, where I was waiting from 1.30 to like 5.30 to get on. And then at 5.30, I had to be in a school board meeting. And so they need to improve that process so that people… It’s by design.

And so when I say that they’re creating these policies to defeat our liberties and our freedoms… The majority of the policies are from them. And they will absolutely shut down policies, legislation from conservatives. And so they’re in charge. And I just simply say the way we fix it is we vote them out of office.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 09 :
And I know that you’re working on some things. However, our founding fathers gave us this power. They gave us this opportunity, this possibility of voting people out so that we don’t go to war again. That was the main reason for voting. We’re going to allow you to remove these people that don’t have your best interest in mind and they’re not trained to uphold the Constitution. When that is compromised… We have a problem, and I believe that we have a problem with our voting system today. It doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t still vote, but we need to fix that. And once we fix it, and I think President Trump is going to do some things to fix this in the near future. I’m not sure how that will work in Colorado, but I think the entire landscape will change because our system has been compromised for decades.
SPEAKER 10 :
So on that, Kane, two things. I know that you sent me a text message, and then I sent back a list of seven things that I want to work on. And you’re like, whoa, on these elections. And what has to happen, these have to happen simultaneously in Colorado here, Alan. And that is, oh, and congratulations. I need to say congratulations to you. You were elected as the first vice chair for the Douglas County GOP.

Well, thank you very much. You gave me a phenomenal introduction that I was very honored to have, so thank you for that.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, congratulations on that. But we need to be doing two things. We’ve got to get these elections cleaned up, and we need to have good candidates that understand our founding run. We need to have… good campaigns for that. So we need to have that happen. And we need to clean these elections up. So I know you’re working on the candidates and the campaigns, and I’m working on the election side.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, and one way to help fix the election side is to win. And that’s something Republicans haven’t done a lot of in Colorado. And that’s what we need to fix. And Part of it comes back to Sybil’s story. It’s not pushing people out. It’s saying, hey, I know people are able to change. That’s one of the beautiful things about our Christian faith is the fact that we can change. And that’s what people have shown time and time again for centuries is that we can change our ideas. We can change our beliefs. And so We need to be reaching out to our Democrat neighbors, to our progressive neighbors, our unaffiliated neighbors and saying, hey, you know, we got four hundred ninety five bills. This is all the crazy. Here’s where we are normal. Here’s where we just want to, you know, love on our kids. Here’s how we just want to put food on the table. How how is this helping us do that? And just. We really need to create a mass movement towards our side to say, hey, we’re the party of normal. We’re not the party of crazy. And if you vote for us, you’re going to get common sense stuff. You’re not going to get 495 bills of absolute crazy.

And we’re not done yet. We may hit 1,000. And I do want to say thank you to my fellow cut board members because we spent a lot of time going through these bills. We’ve rated, I think, 116. And so who knows how many. Let me just see how many right now they have scheduled for hearing for next week because my job is to go through and take a look at it.

Wow. And so my job is to go through and select which ones we’re going to take a look at. But we’ve rated 116 already. When you see these folks, say thank you to them. So several people reached out to me. Somebody even called the station manager.

So I wanted to make sure that I made that correction. And I realize I have got a lot. Jim May, I’ve got a lot of history I’ve got to learn.

See, I didn’t think he could go any further than five-star. You know, five-star in everything is the best, right? Five-star this. So I didn’t know that either. Yeah. I know Eisenhower was a general. Five-star? I mean, I think a lot of generals. Probably five. But, yeah. Yeah.

So George Washington and then General Pershing. So you will always learn something here on the show.

If I can comment on Alan and the Democrats and how do we fight back? And it’s sometimes frustrating because I don’t think we take the right approach. I’m former military, law enforcement. I like to fight, and I like to speak the truth. And so if we take what the Democrats have done with all of these policies over just the last four years— And we hand it to them on a Christmas Thanksgiving platter every single day. And we will appeal to Democrats, conservatives, liberals, independents. But we have to take what they’ve done and we have to shove it down their throats until their bellies are full. Not next week, not during the election process. Today. Start today. We need to tell the public as often as we can, this is what they’ve done to your kids. This is what they’ve done to parents. This is what they’ve done to your freedoms to buy a firearm. This is what they’ve done to your property rights. We need to shove it down their throats until their bellies are full. And until we have that passion, until we have Republicans that are willing to stand up with the backing of God, and speak the truth to the public, we’re going to continue to leave. People are, they are looking for leaders. They’re looking for the truth. And most people, most Democrats, if they get the truth, they’ll go, huh, wait a minute. This is not right. But they have given us all the ammunition that we need to absolutely destroy them in every single election.
SPEAKER 10 :
And when you say ammunition, you’re meaning in this battle of ideas, right?
SPEAKER 09 :
I love your clarity.
SPEAKER 08 :
Look what’s been exposed in just the last week or so. I mean, look at all the crap that’s going through Congress. Where are our tax monies going? Look at some of that stuff and just use that. You got to use it right now. But I agree with you. But I want to say one thing. You know, we always say that we’re Democrat. And now we’ve really got to understand that a lot of the people that we’re talking about are not that crazy far wing deal. There’s a lot of Democrats left around that. Look at Telsey Gabbard and look at, I mean, Elon Musk, Donald Trump. honestly wasn’t a full-fledged conservative Republican. They’ve all come over here. And RFK, they’re coming and they’re coming in waves. And we need to grab them. We need to run this thing and have the majority. And then we need to stop mailing ballots in this state. And I think you’re right. I think he’ll fix that. But until we can get this vote straightened out a little bit, we’re still a little bit in trouble, I think.

Well, and with that, you know what, let me make a note on that, on these elections. You’re so right regarding these elections and these mail-in ballots going everywhere is crazyville. So, Alan, let’s let you have just a quick word on that. Now, Kane is right. Messaging, we all are a little different in messaging. So how—

We all are, but it’s an idea that’s been bouncing around in my head lately. It’s a phrase I heard, truth does not need to be coerced. And that was one of the beautiful things about the betrayal of Christ, actually, was when they came to arrest him falsely and his follower took out a sword, he said, no, no, no, you need to step back. Because he knew the truth is, truth does not need to be coerced. And so we do not need to… We need to fight passionately, but we don’t need to attack people. We don’t need to tell them that they need to believe in this truth. We simply need to speak it because it will come to the light of day.

And Washington said something along the line of, because I’ve been doing George Washington quotes for most of the week because his birthday is tomorrow, is that truth will come to light where pains are made to bring it to light. And that’s what we’re doing. And I still am sitting here looking outside. I can’t believe that you guys are here. This is just this is this is really amazing. It does my heart such good. You and Kevin, a few days ago, talking about Senate Bill 63, which basically says that they’re not going to allow people to challenge the books. It’s the book banning bill, I think is what it’s called. And I thought about it. I’m like, why would they come up with a bill like this at this time? Because… It’s not necessary. These books that are in our school are there because the Colorado Supreme Court ruled that it was constitutional or it was unconstitutional not to have pornographic materials in the government schools. And, folks, you can look it up. It’s called Tattered Cover Incorporated versus Tooley. And so back in 1985 is when the Colorado Supreme Court said that these books are allowed to be in there. And basically it gives the criminal case cover where it’s no longer a criminal case if the book is in school. And so why do you need to… Prevent book bannings. The books are allowed to be there. In fact, the school board I talked to last night mentioned, well, they’re thinking about putting some books aside. I’m like, don’t do that. You’re violating the law. Don’t do that. What you need to do is you need to set up a system where parents have the right to decide if their kids should look at pornographic material. and give them a chance to opt out or opt in or however you want to do it i go but if you remove these books you could be facing some penalties or the heavier could you put them aside though so that parents then could if they wanted their kids to see the pornographic stuff that they could say okay it’s okay for my kids to see that yes and that and that’s what we’ve advocated at task force freedom is it’s just it’s parental it’s a parent’s right to decide and so you can you can have them available in the library but a child cannot see it without the parents approval
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, that seems to, well.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yes, but they were talking about taking books out completely and setting it aside while they determine how they’re going to change their policy. And I think we’re going to have a big win coming really soon. I’ll let you know when it happens that I think they’re going to change their policy that gives parental rights to the parent and not remove these books. But so I looked at the bill and I’m like, why? Why are they pushing this bill right now? And what I discovered, it says one of the areas says that the bill would only allow challenges by parents or legal guardians with a child in the school that that book is being challenged for. In other words, if this passes, I don’t have kids where I live. Oh, so I can’t. I’ve been prevented from speaking at school boards anyway, which is fine. Not fine, but it’s violation of my constitution. But they’re simply saying, if I don’t have a child in that school and you’re trying to challenge a book, you have no right to go there. Excuse me. I believe that’s taxation without representation. I have a right to that public forum. to address whatever issues that I have with them, whether it’s about kids or the dirty water coming out of the faucets. I have a right. If you’re going to do this, stop taking my tax money. I’m a taxpayer.

It’s called free speech, isn’t it? Yes, sir.
SPEAKER 09 :
And so it’s taxation without representation, not having the ability to go in and confront those who are using my money And harming kids. And so if this passes, that’s going to give them a great deal of support and backing because they’re doing it now anyway. I’ve been to school board meetings and they’ve told me I can’t talk. And so I’ve yelled at them before they gaveled in and explained to them how they’re violating my First Amendment right. And so.
SPEAKER 10 :
So this is Senate Bill 25, and so SB 25 stands for Senate Bill, or if it’s a House bill, it’s HB 25. It’s the year 063. It’s titled Library Resource Decision Standards for Public Schools. The sponsors on this, all Democrats, are Senator Lisa Cutter, Senator Daphna Michelson-Giné, Representative Lorena Garcia, and Representative Jenny Wilford. And, Kane, I have listeners that say be sure and give these bill sponsors names out there, so that’s why I’m doing that. What I have seen is the left plays long ball. This is a long ball bill, isn’t it?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yes. Yes, ma’am. Because there’s the next issue. Take a look at this. So the the other issue that they have is that the book can only be reviewed once every two years. So a parent that has a kid in that school says there’s a problem with that book. They can make that challenge. There’s two years before you can challenge that book again or before you can challenge books. And so they’re giving this, they’re restricting our ability to protect our kids by using legislation, which is why I started out saying they are legislating tyranny. and total control over us and our kids. And if this passes, it is going to be horrific. A parent won’t be able to stand up and defend their kids. The other part is they give cover for the librarian, which is weird, that simply says, in that two-year period, if a librarian says, I’m going to get this book out of here, I don’t like it, I’m… Or, let me say this another way. I’m going to keep this book in here and someone says, I’m going to fire you if you keep that book. An administrator. Maybe the superintendent says, if you let those books stand, I’m going to fire you. They give the librarian cover. They cannot be fired at all for keeping pornographic material in the schools. This is demonic. It’s not Democrat. It’s not Republican. It’s not liberal, conservative. This is This is a good versus evil fight. And why these people have chosen this hill to die on, I don’t understand it. I don’t understand how you could be an education or a politician, for that matter, and you’re willing to harm your constituents. We’re not talking about just Republicans. This is happening to the public. And I would… Appeal to our liberals. Listen, pay attention to what they’re doing to you. I mean, Hitler got away with this.
SPEAKER 10 :
So as I look at it on the sponsor list, almost all the Democrats down at the legislature, both representatives and senators have their name on this.
SPEAKER 09 :
This is really unbelievable. It doesn’t I’m sorry. It doesn’t surprise me because look at the past bills that that polls have signed. Kids can go in and get abortions. Children. We’ve had two young ladies die up in Fort Collins. Really? Yes. Gentlemen. In the last week, our last seven weeks, getting an abortion.
SPEAKER 10 :

We don’t expect that she’ll know that we’re there, but she will at some point from seeing all the different posts and that kind of thing. But we would really appreciate if you come out and support Tina, bring your signs, bring your prayers and your good wishes for Tina. And it will be a good event for us to show our appreciation for the sacrifice that she’s making, because I honestly believe she’s a political prisoner. I believe that she discovered some things and they needed to silence her, as they have had to do with the J6, with other political prisoners like Rittenhouse. They tried to put a kid in prison for defending himself. I believe that Chauvin, I believe he’s a political prisoner. I don’t think he killed… What’s that guy’s name? The black guy that died from a drug overdose? I can’t remember his name right now.

George Floyd. George Floyd.

I don’t believe he killed that guy. In fact, it’s proven that he died from a drug overdose. And so we have these people that are suffering, and they need to know that they’re in support, they’re not alone, and be careful what you do with God’s children, because when they are released… the whirlwind that they bring upon the enemy is going to be devastating.

And it’s truth. That’s what we search all the time for here, Cain, is for truth. And the truth will set us free for sure. So Cain’s in studio. It’s probably in the book. I’ll try to hurry through it. No, it’s not. This one is not by me. It’s written by, you know, I met these people out in Elko, Nevada a long, long time ago. He’s dead now. It is. And he was, like I say, what Lonesome Dove and Yellowstone is to like a western, this poem is to cowboy poetry. It’s just my top one. Okay. Okay, I’ll hurry through it. He’d never win a beauty prize, a great big long-eared blue-robed gelding. but not too bad for speed or size. I had to work some pretty tough circles. And that trader guaranteed that that horse would show me lots of country and not need too much rest or feed. He said, now this here ain’t no kid horse, but he’ll pack you up the crick. He will hump up upon occasion, and he has been known to kick. I wouldn’t sell him to just anyone without having some remorse, but if you’re a sure enough cow puncher, mister, why, he’s your kind of horse. Well, I stepped up on that horse the next morning, and he began to buck and ball. That trader maybe hadn’t lied none, but he hadn’t told it all. Because he sure tore up the country where we throwed that equine fit, and I almost run out of handholds by the time he finally quit. And that just seemed to set a pattern that would hardly ever change. Though I showed him lots of country, every corner of the range, but every time I’d ride that bigger, he’d keep me sitting tight, and I knew I’d have to make at least three or four bronc rides before he’d pack me back home that night. And that would have been okay with a lot of the horses that I know, but… That old blue horse had my number, and I’d just barely get him rode. And the thing that kind of spooked me and put a damper on my pride was he was learning how to buck faster than I was learning how to ride. Well, I got back into camp one evening, and it was getting pretty late, and I see a gray horse in the corral there, and there’s a saddle by the gate. And I looked that gray horse over, and, man, I sure liked what I’d seen. And then this little kid shows up around the barn. He must have been about 15. He said he lamed his horse that day coming over the granite grade, and he wondered if I might have a horse that I might maybe want to trade. He said he really didn’t have time to stop and wait and let him heal, and since beggars can’t be choosers, he said he’d make most any kind of deal. Well, when a feller’s trading horses, they say almost anything is fair, so I traded him my blue-drawn horse for that gray one in the air. And then that night, my conscience got to hurting when I thought about what I did to trade an old flea-blown dink bronc like that off to some poor little wet-nosed kid. So the next morning after breakfast, I tells him, I said, Listen, lad, if you want to know the truth, that trade you made last night was bad. That old blue horse, he’s a rank one. Mean as any you’ll ever see, and he’ll bite you, stomp you, kick you. He’s a sorry S.O.B. That old horse bucks hard and often, and to tell it to you straight, I think you’d be plumb lucky just to ride him past the gate. Now, there’s two or three old horses back there in that saddle bunch, and they ain’t got much going for them, but I kind of got a hunch that they’ll get you where you’re going if you just don’t crowd them none but… dang i hate to see you try to ride that old blue burger son he said well i told you there last night i’d make most any kind of trade and i sure appreciate you telling me about the bad mistake i made but my old daddy always told me when you’re trading no matter how you feel even if you took a whooping a deal is still the deal that horse you say he’s got some travel he ain’t too bad for speed mr i’m kind of in a tight spot and that’s just exactly what i need And I traded for him fair and square, and damn his blue-roan hide when I pull out of here this morning, that’s the horse I’m going to ride. Oh, we finish cinching up his saddle, and he pulls his hat way down, and he steps right up into the rigging just like he was riding into town. Put both spurs up in him shoulders and got that blue-roan hair flying, and he tips his head straight back and screams like a hungry mountain lion. You know, I’ve heard a lot of stories about the Bucking Horse Ballet. I’ve heard about poetry in motion. But the ride I saw that day just completely defied description. Though I still can see it plain, it’s almost like it’s in slow motion and branded on my brain. I’m not sure I could describe it to you even if I tried. All I can say for sure is by the saints that kid could ride. He’d just sit there all relaxed like he was sitting home in bed and every jump that pony took, that kid’s a half a jump ahead. When it was over, I decided I could learn a few things still. And I said, son, I’m awful sorry. I misjudged your riding skill. He just said, oh, shucks, mister. That’s all right. As he started out on his way. But if you think this horse can buck, don’t put your saddle on that gray.

You’re just across the state line. I know. In our country, that’s not very far. You know, maybe it’s an hour or something like that. I travel two or three hours a day everywhere I go. So, I mean, it’s just big country. But yeah. You’re kind of a country girl, too, right? You kind of grew up on the farm.

Hey, before we get into this, Yvonne is on the line, and she had something she wanted to weigh in on. Yvonne, welcome.

Thank you. Good morning, Kim and company there. And I love listening to Cain and he has a very unique style. And I want to say that what he was saying is so important. And I want to chime in with this because when he mentioned, you know, that he’s not allowed to speak because he doesn’t have a child in that school or school district or or whatever. I understand their position of, you know, what candle do you have at this funeral if you don’t even have a kid here? And I’ve never heard that one before. Where we come from, that’s how they put it, where I come from. But the thing is. parents who have children in that school district will be reluctant to speak out because they will fear retaliation against their child. So I can tell you, and I’m a brave one too, that I may handle what’s going on in the school and everything, but I’m not sure when my child was in K-12, I would have gone to the school board because I myself was a subject of retaliation because my parents spoke up at my school. So I have that clear and present because I lived it And so that is a real thing. So people that don’t have kids that can be retaliated against should and must be able to speak because retaliation is real. And all of a sudden, the kid doesn’t make the sports team and all of a sudden his grades start going down. And people need to be able to speak when they cannot be attacked via their children.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yvonne, that’s so interesting that you would mention that because I spoke out against a coach one time. I thought it was really inappropriate. I just had this concern about things. And I’d written a piece that says, trust your gut. And I just… Something just wasn’t right. And this was an adolescent girls team. And I don’t know for sure, but something just didn’t seem right. And so I was concerned about it. And so this coach, they were in between games. And he was single. And he said, oh, hey, girls, why don’t you all come over to my house and we’ll watch a video and have some pizza. And I said, I’m coming, too. And he wasn’t very excited about that. And I ended up taking it to the top, and he retaliated against my child, Yvonne.
SPEAKER 06 :
There you go. There you go. That’s all I had. Y’all have fun. And I just wanted to make sure that all the listeners. know that it is not okay to censor speech, especially when the ones that get to speak are the ones people can retaliate against their children.
SPEAKER 09 :
I think people would be shocked and amazed at the amount of retaliation that comes against a child because a parent speaks out. And I’ve been doing this for three, for four years, and it’s insane. And I just look at our system. I have zero respect for our government schools. It is horrific what they allow teachers, administrators to do. I know of a kid now who’s a Navy, working to be a Navy SEAL. He had to leave his school to go to another school so that he can just perform his student duties. duties, his just to learn. And so this happens all the time. I’ve had a parent call me and tell me a teacher told her five, 10 year old daughter who was wearing a Trump hat. You can get shot in the face for that. This is it is it is insidious and it’s sick. And this is why I speak out the way I do, because we have to speak the truth. Take your children and out of the government schools. And if you cannot, you must stand up and speak against this evil.
SPEAKER 10 :
And that’s why this bill is such a problem, is because we’ll be trying to close down, shut down your voices. That’s right. Okay.
SPEAKER 07 :
And if I may, you know, part of this, though, there is a very real aspect of retaliation, but there also is You need to do the right thing. And you need to stand up because if it’s happening to you and your children, there’s probably parents that fear retribution. So if you see something going wrong, it’s your right to be virtuous and to assert yourself and to… to tell the school board what is going on. And what we need to do is, especially parents need to start coming together and seeing other parents who are reaching out and support them. You know, when they voice these in front of school boards, we need to come behind those parents and support them. So find the parents that are speaking out to try and help protect your kid as well. And maybe you don’t have the courage to stand behind the mic in front of the school board, but you can have the courage to support the parents that are. And so that’s also part of what the article I wrote is about, is about this fact that we need to support the good. We need to put our voice out there. That way the good can be supported because a lot of times in politics, it’s the negative. It’s the loud people that suck the air out of the room. And that negativity can really influence everybody. But when we really put our voices behind the good and when we support the good, that’s when we can really affect a lot of change.
SPEAKER 09 :
I learned this concept of theory called the second dancer in the leadership program of the Rockies. And basically what that is, you have this crazy guy named Kane who’s just going at it and he’ll make an impact. But it’s that second person that stands up and stands with him that gives empowers others to come and stand with them. So be the second dancer and we can protect our kids.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and it’s our duty. Take it easy, Kim. I thought if I stayed away from the S word, I’d be okay. Hold on. What’s going on here?

But it is. The Senate Bill 63 is saying we want to have this. Crap available for our children, Jim.
SPEAKER 08 :
Can I quickly say something just about schools in general? I just want to say I’m a grandfather now and all my kids are raised and everything. But, you know, we’re the 40th out of 40 schools in the world. We spend twice as much as anybody else. And I guess we’re number 40 when it comes to, you know, reading, writing, all those things that we’re supposed to know. And and so so it doesn’t work. And Trump wants to abolish Department of Education for those kinds of reasons. It’s just so much money wasted, wasted, wasted money. We as as parents, grandparents, whatever, we need to take time with our kids when they come from school and we need to be with them and we need to hug them when you say, what are they telling you in school today? And I think our younger people, I really feel like they are coming back now and they’re seeing some of this stuff. The pornography in schools. And that’s that’s ridiculous. You know, like I was telling Kane, we’ve been doing it against movies for our whole lives. You know, you got PG-13 and you get R and then you get X. And so but with the books, you know, it’s X stuff in these books. Pornography can’t go with kids coming into puberty and stuff like that. We just can’t have that. But I just I just feel like our schools, you know, that’s so what does my son do out there in a little school? We don’t have parochial schools or we don’t have a private school. He got on school board. Dr. Matt May. Shout out to him. My son. He’s a room and a nutritionist and a very busy man. He’s he’s in Canada one day and he’s in Mexico the next. He’s got feed yards all over North America that he sees. But he took the time to be on the school board, and it’s a thankless job. Right. Because a lot of times if something’s wrong, you’re the problem, and my kid’s never the problem. But he understands that the raising of those young people is the most important thing we can do. And it’s the most important thing for our politics and everything else because they’re going to be there pretty quick, quicker than you know. So I really feel like we have to talk to our kids, love them, and let them know we’re on – And certainly anybody should be able to go in there and talk about how you feel about a book being anywhere. You shouldn’t be banned from anything. That’s number one. That’s our that’s our First Amendment, the freedom of speech. But they’re using they’re using the idea of the call us book burners or whatever because of the pornography thing. And that’s just a little whole different deal to me.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay, I’ve got to work on this during the break. Something about they’re banning. We’ve got to work on that. They’re banning people is what they’re doing. Jim May, Lavaca Meat Company. And the word of the day is ubiquitous. It’s U-B-I-Q-U-I-T-O-U-S. That’s U-B-I-Q-U-I-T-O-U-S, ubiquitous. And you use that in the title of your book. So let’s talk about this. Trump’s victories highlight how terrifying and ubiquitous the deep state is in our lives.
SPEAKER 07 :
Absolutely. And, you know, I think with with this group, I might start with the end first and then talk about some of the examples of the deep stakes. I’m sure we can all get geared up with with many of the DEI and the EPA and and red dye number three. But, you know, part of the point of this article is to say, you know, Trump has done a good job just taking a hatchet. to, to what’s going on with this deep state and seeing how these roots extend so deep into our lives. I mean, when you talk about red dye, number three in the FDA, uh, an organization that supposedly exists to protect us. And yet, uh, all of a sudden when they see RFK coming, they go, Oh, maybe, maybe there is some science. Maybe we should get rid of this. And, uh, And there’s only so much that Trump can do. You know, when we talk about the Constitution and the separation of powers, he runs the executive branch. And there’s only so much power that the executive branch has. Now, that power is so much greater than it was ever intended due to the bureaucratic state. But there is only so much he’s going to be able to do with our government. And so we need Congress to step up. And that is where we… The people need to also step up because many, many elected officials exist to get elected. And if we want to tell them to do something, we need to say, hey, if you do this, we are going to elect you again. And we need Congress to stand up and to codify many of the things that Trump is doing, because we’ve seen that when he leaves office, if the pendulum swings backwards again and we get another President Biden in, he can largely undo a lot of the wonderful things that Trump is doing. And so we need Congress to pull these roots out and salt the field over to make sure these horrific examples of the deep state just getting away with everything that they’ve gotten away with that Trump is exposing and putting in the light of day. We need them to do their job because Trump can only highlight and expose and show everybody the roots. It takes a literal act of Congress to get these roots out of there.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and, Ellen, the other thing is elections really do matter. As we were talking about the Senate Bill 63, and I look at that long list of Democrats that have their name on it, I don’t think that most of the people in Colorado realize, first of all, unless we talk about it, all this different legislation. I don’t think that they – and I’ve got to think – Most Democrats, most unaffiliated libertarians, Republicans, conservatives, if they really understood that they’re trying to they’ve accused us of book banning. But now this this thing is banning voices. And I think that most people would not be voting for that. But that’s why these elections are so important. So I my ear to the ground is that Trump is going to do something regarding the federal elections. And each state has jurisdiction over their elections. But because electing congressmen and women, senators, that affects all of us. It’s a federal thing. I could see how he’s probably going to be able maybe to do something on that. But here in Colorado, we are the petri dish for all the goofiness that’s going on. And so we need to go to work to get these elections cleaned up. And so that’s one of the things I’m focusing on, as you know.
SPEAKER 07 :
Absolutely. And, you know, especially here in Colorado, many of us are represented by Democrats, unfortunately. Right. And it’s not just talking to your Republican Republicans in the elected offices. It’s talking to the Democrats and saying, hey, listen, this is unpopular. These are the issues. It’s being polite and respectful, but also telling them the truth. And one of the things that we need to make sure and highlight is all of this fraud, all of this waste is being exposed at a federal level. But we also need to start highlighting that at the local level as well. because it’s there. And that’s one thing that the Trump team is doing is, you know, one of the blessings we may have gotten was Trump losing four years ago because he hit the ground an absolute sprint. And that may not have been the case four years ago because we saw the deep state eight years ago when Trump first got into office. They really just, you know, delayed as much as possible. Both sides of the aisle, too. Both sides. And Congress fought him. But then also the bureaucratic state just kind of said, hey, if we can hang on for four years, the administration might change and we can go back to business as usual. And that’s one of the I mean, a couple actually two days ago. Trump finally did what many said the executive should say, that these independent agencies that are outside the control of Congress and the executive, he said, no, the Constitution says if Congress delegates powers, that is my job as the executive to be in charge of that. And he rightly differentiated between the two different to get rid of these independent agencies and to say, listen, you can’t have this fourth branch of government. That’s not constitutional. So I’m going to take back control of these independent agencies. But what we need is… is we’ve seen these independent agencies can be weaponized against people. And unfortunately, conservatives have been bearing the brunt of that. But we need to also say to Democrats, listen, if you’re terrified of Trump taking charge of this agency, maybe we need to get rid of the agency. And that’s where Congress needs to step up and say, yeah, we delegated those powers. It was inappropriate then. It’s inappropriate now. We need to just close it out and close the books on this.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and so Congress, I think, really abdicated their responsibilities. And because they wanted to get reelected, they didn’t want to have to stand for what might be happening over here. And so Trump is bringing this all back, but the deep state – Both sides of the aisle is really, really deep.
SPEAKER 07 :
It is. And it’s the ideology of progressivism, right? The ideology of progressivism that’s been slow marching its way through all of our politics and doesn’t know party lines. But it’s this idea that you should be compliant, right? And that’s why when you have 495 bills that we have, it erodes the rule of law because when you don’t know whether you’re breaking a law or not just by living your life, how can you say that you’re following the rule of law, right? And that’s where progressives really get away with this compliance piece is sometimes some codes are enforced, sometimes they’re not. But depending on the person, they can say, oh, you’re violating this law, but I’ll let it slide this time, right? But then they’ll use the force of law on somebody else. Exactly. And it’s that applying of the law differently for different cases, that picking winners and losers, if you will, from a compliance standpoint, that’s why progressivism has so many rules and so many laws is to keep you always on your toes wondering whether you’re actually breaking a law or not. And that’s why when we talk about rule of law, When we talk about encouraging our legislators to repeal laws that are inappropriate, that aren’t constitutional, or just don’t fix the issue, that’s why we encourage it. Because why should you always be wondering whether driving down the street, whether you’re breaking the law or not?
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, and it’s a very important point, and that is that, and you see it at the local, the county, and the state level, is that they put in these different laws or rules or regulations, ordinances or whatever, but then they don’t, they’re not impartial how it’s instituted. And we need to make sure there’s no partiality in our government at all. The founders knew that.
SPEAKER 07 :
They did. They were very wise. They were very well read. And they predicted many of the issues that we’re now seeing. And one of the things Jefferson hinted at was like, hey, you know what? If you guys deviate from this, we can’t help you. That’s going to be an issue you created, and that’s going to be an issue that you have to solve. And that’s our responsibility in this moment is we need to solve the problem because – Granted, it may have been our grandparents or our great-grandparents in FDR starting a new deal, but because of the environment that they’ve created, we need to be dragon slayers in a time when there’s a dragon.
SPEAKER 09 :
And ignorance of the law does not absolve you of the consequences. And so I remember Bradley Beck said something one day, I probably violated 15 laws today. And then you had to get clarification, like, what did you do, Bradley? But that’s what they’ve done to us. I’m sure I violated a law this morning getting on my bed. I mean, I don’t know.
SPEAKER 10 :
But see, that’s the thing is you’re not free people if you have to be a compliant people.
SPEAKER 07 :
Exactly. But that’s the point. And the progressive ideology disagrees entirely with the rule of law. It’s an act of control to keep so many laws on the books that you don’t then have a rule of law, right? And so this is the battlefield of ideas that we’re up against. It’s like, no, this is why you shouldn’t regulate and control and pass laws over every single part of your life. We should say, hey, you know, don’t violate other people’s rights. That’s where you should go wrong. But, you know, telling people how to live, how to be moral, that’s not the purpose of the government. That’s the purpose of we the people. But as soon as you violate other people’s rights, that’s where you need to have the protections come in. And that’s where rule of law is important. But the progressive ideology just says, hey, we’re going to spam you with so much that you’re probably not totally in compliance with everything that we have on the books. And we can control you then when you get out of line.
SPEAKER 10 :
And control is an opposite word from freedom. And so that’s where we’re at. So, Alan, when I say on the show that we were made for this moment, we and I believe that we are in the third founding of our country. We are in historical times. We’re in dangerous times also. We’re seeing the left is I’ve seen different videos calling for violence. And and yet they were the ones that said that the conservatives, the people that love America are the violent ones. But they’re the ones that’s calling for violence.
SPEAKER 07 :
It’s it’s the gaslighting that that does get crazy. But at the same time, like like I said, truth does not need to be coerced. You know, we don’t have to sit there and say we’re not the violent ones. We merely have to live our lives and show people, hey, you know what? You can call me violent all you want, but I’m not. You know, I don’t have to coerce you into believing I’m not violent because by doing so, I’m actually going to prove that I am right. So we merely need to live our lives and allow the truth the light of day.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay. And so we’ll roll this piece out. Trump’s victories highlight how terrifying and ubiquitous the deep state is in our lives. And we are in a historical time, Alan Thomas.

And we have on the line with us Matt, and Matt is a concerned citizen. He wanted to talk about Senate Bill 25011, detection components for wildlife, or excuse me, wildfire mitigation, and this is using AI. And the sponsors is bipartisan, Senator Lindsey Doherty, Representative Ron Weinberg, and Representative Kyle Brown. Matt, welcome to the show, and tell us what you’re concerned about.
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, good morning, Kim, and thanks for having me. This bill is primarily written to focus on what I believe is a company called Pano.ai. I’m not sure if you guys have had a chance to look into this company. Pano.ai is a company that has a proprietary artificial intelligence system. It’s closed source. It’s a deep learning system, so it will continually learn. And they have cameras that they put up on cell phone towers predominantly. I believe it was one thing I read was T-Mobile 5G towers. and they’ll use that connection to connect a camera to their deep learning system. These cameras, according to Pano, will do a 360-degree sweep every minute, and they have a capability of zooming 10 to 20 miles. The idea is to be able to triangulate on a fire, so they want to be able to look at fires from multiple camera angles. So this is similar to something like flock safety, which would be the the cameras that are being used in multiple downtowns. But now we’re talking about looking into the wilderness. Now, firefighting is a dangerous career. I support firefighters. But the idea of losing one more piece of privacy in effort to try to call forest fires is something that I think we need to really weigh heavily. Pano.ai was formed by Sonia Kastner. She was working at Nest before it became Google Nest. And then her chief commercial officer is Arvin Satyam. He’s a WEF Young Global Leader. And in 2020 at the Davos Convention, according to an article I read, he was inspired to fight forest fires. Since then, they’ve raised some money and some initial capital rounds that I read about. And then they started working with counties such as Teller, I believe Summit, Boulder County. They’ve signed on with places in California. I think Big Sky County up in Montana, and I think they’re working with a few different, like PG&E and other utilities between California, Washington State, and what have you. The cameras themselves are proprietary as well. From what I understand, the business model is Tano AI will sell subscriptions or contracts to certain municipalities, firefighters, BLM, U.S. Forest Service, what have you, but they own the product, and then you get a subscription, so to speak. So it’s not even that the government is doing the surveilling, as it were. It’s a private company, and then the government then becomes the client. Concerns would be potential hacking. I have another concern about low-level military training routes in aviation or being able to surveil military operations in general. I was told by someone who worked out in Utah, they had to buy extra land around Dugway Proving Grounds. As cameras get better, they can peer into our top secret areas, so they start buying more and more land to try to buffer that situation. Now you’ve got a company that can look 10 to 20 miles, and they’re putting these high vantage points on mountaintops and cell phone towers. So that’s the concern. I understand that the situation right now, When it comes to the testimony that’s coming up on Monday, it’s still in the Senate committee, not at the full Senate or full House vote. So it’s a great time to before amend or against it. I’m obviously against it, but everyone has their voice. But I encourage people to show up because unfortunately, at the last Senate committee. There was three people there to testify for and maybe two or three in the amended against position. One was actually our one of our county commissioners here in Jeffco was in the men slash against because she was also concerned about the privacy concerns. The Senate committee took a five minute recess and then sent it back to the sponsors and said, come back on Monday and work on some of these privacy concerns. Additionally, there was a A representative from the Realtor Association also talking about privacy concerns. You start buying houses out in the wildland interface or just in the wilderness or, you know, just on a rural plot of land and you want to do some farming and ranching. That camera could look in. Now, I did find out that the company is supposed to pixelate your house. So what do some pixelation of people? But the problem is, what about your greater area? If you have a thousand acres, they’re not pixelating the whole thing. And you can look at articles that, yeah, maybe they pixelate the house. But what about the rest of your property? So there are some privacy concerns. And one more thing, you know, like when I did a lot of research into drones versus commercial aviation photography type of stuff, aviation photography using commercially available equipment at a legal altitude is legal. By way of comparison, this is a completely closed-loop system of proprietary cameras, similar to because they’re putting it at a vantage point that would equal, say, a low-flying airplane or a drone. That’s another concern when we start looking at the different doctrines of how to deal with aviation and drone and privacy. So that’s a kind of just a quick synopsis.
SPEAKER 10 :
Boy, that’s Senate Bill 25011. And we at CUT took a no position. We were not entirely in agreement, but most members opposed. This is our statement. Our current situation regarding federal and state forest upkeep. Upkeep is dismal. Colorado is ripe for a catastrophic fire in different parts of the state, but benefits on this are projected with no guarantee of results. We are skeptical of public-private partnerships and of the gifts, grants, and donations. So what that means, Mike, is that we can use government money, we can give it to private entities, and they can use that with the force of law behind it. So we’d probably say no on that. And we said… Instead, spending $7 million on clearing underbrush and those results are guaranteed to reduce wildfires and the spread of wildfires. Mike, thank you so much for bringing this to our attention.
