And that actually makes things work out a little bit better. But it’s not compassionate to take other people’s rights, whether or not it’s their property, their freedom, livelihoods, opportunities, their childhoods, or their lives via force. And force can be a weapon. but it can be policy, unpredictable and excessive taxation, fear, coercion, government-induced inflation, the World Economic Forum agenda played out by the globalist elites, the United Nations, this legislature here in Colorado, this governor, land use codes, zoning regulations, force fees, conservation easements, national monument designations, and the list goes on and on, but we’re going to walk that back. And remember, if something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. Our word of the day is combust. And it could also be combustible. And I chose that because Lauren Fix is our featured guest in this hour. You know her. She’s Car Coach Reports. And we talk a lot about the benefits of the combustible engine. But combust is C-O-M-B-U-S-T. It could be to catch fire, burst into flame. Number two, to undergo combustion or burn. And number three, to become suddenly angry or agitated, which, again, the extreme left tends to combust on just about every issue. And they have no sense of humor. Joe, I was talking with someone yesterday about the left. And they seem to have no sense of humor. And being able to laugh at ourselves, being able to laugh at others is so important. And not to laugh at others, but with others is really important. I think it’s important to your health to be able to laugh.

I think you might be right on that. I didn’t ever really think about that.

But a good guttural laugh is good for the soul. And the other thing is, is a combustible could be capable of igniting or burning. It could be easily aroused or excited or capable of taking fire and burning, apt to catch fire, inflammable. But the combustible engine, we’ll be talking a lot about that. And I had looked it up. You all probably know this. And that is, what is the combustible engine? And I had the link here. And you all know this, but this combustible engine is under attack because it actually empowers us to be able to go where we want to When we want to. And it says, this is from How Stuff Works. And so we’ll talk about some really interesting things happening over in the automotive world and our freedom to be able to go where we want to, when we want to. So I thought I would go to Henry Ford for our quote of the day, because obviously the quote at the end of the show is really remarkable. It’s a little bit longer, but I will just tease that just a little bit. But he said this, he said, nobody can think straight who does not work. He says, idleness warps the mind. And what we have seen in America, where we’ve gotten to a point where we pay people not to work, And then sit around their idol. So what do they do all day? And as my father quoted, idle hands are the devil’s workshop. And so people can get into trouble or they’re not doing things to create, to innovate. And so anyway, Henry Ford was born in 1863, died in 1947. He was an American industrialist and business magnate. And he was the founder of the Ford Motor Company, credited as the pioneer in making automobiles affordable for middle class Americans through the system that came to be known as Fordism. He was awarded a patent for the transmission mechanism that would be used in the Ford Model T and other automobiles, and he created the assembly line, or he used the assembly line. So yesterday, and we’ll talk, I asked Gammy to call in in the second hour because she was waiting to testify regarding Senate Bill 25003, which is this, really becomes a firearms ban. And I’m trying to figure out exactly what happened as I’m looking at headlines here. And she will let me know. I’m going to check out that a little bit more, what happened on that. But we’re going to be talking about a number of bills of the day with my colleague on the Colorado Union of Taxpayers, the Cut Board, Rob Knuth here, in just a few moments as we have made our move. positions for this last week for bills that were being heard in committee this week. So we’ll talk about that. Over on the national level, this is pretty remarkable. But Elon Musk says that he believes that Doge will be able to reach a trillion dollars in savings. And when we’re running $2 trillion in deficits, this is going to be huge. So if he can find those savings and then if we can cut spending, I think we can get this budget balanced rather quickly, which is very, very important for us and for our next generations. So that’s a pretty huge headline right there. And then we didn’t get to talk about this much yesterday, but the Supreme Court has taken up here in Colorado, and I remember when this legislation went through, it would prevent… therapist from talking with children that might be considering whether or not they might be gay or lesbian or transgender. And so the parents take them to a therapist, and the therapist would be precluded by law from talking about anything other than affirming the LGTBQ plus agenda. and so the supreme court is going to take this up this is from the scripps news service and it says agree agreed on monday in this case from colorado to decide whether state and local governments can enforce laws banning it’s called conversion therapy that means to be able to talk about non-lgbtq plus issues it says the conservative lit actually i don’t like this It’s not the conservative-led court. Let’s just say the court is taking up the case amid actions by President Donald Trump targeting – again, this is from Scripps, so you can hear the bias on this. President Donald Trump is not targeting transgender people. But he’s saying boys are boys, girls are boys, girls are girls. We’re going to keep boys and men out of girls and women’s sports. And he’s – anyway, the Supreme Court will go on to say the justices have heard arguments in a Tennessee case over whether state bans on treaties transgender minors violates the Constitution. They still have to make their decision. It says Colorado is among roughly half the states that prohibit the practice. of trying to change a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity through counseling. And this is even for children. So think about this. Our children are being bombarded at many of these public schools with this transgender ideology. Just go to see artclubmovie.com, which is the story, and you can watch that for free. It’s called Art Club. And it’s the story of Aaron and John Lee up in Wellington, little teeny tiny Wellington, Colorado. Their daughter is invited to after-school art class. Instead, it’s a transgender indoctrination session. If, in fact, let’s be honest, let’s say, hey, we want to invite your children to a transgender indoctrination session, many parents will probably say no. So our kids are being inundated with this, but yet if parents find this out and take them to a counselor, the counselor is precluded from being able to talk about the other options. And this is a freedom of speech issue, and so it’s going to be very interesting to see what happens on that. Another headline that I find, this is remarkable. We saw that Canada, in particular Ontario, was kicking around the idea of a 25% charge on electricity going into some of the northern states. And this is from The Independent. It says Canada backs down on this 25 percent charge for electricity exports hours after Trump threatens new tariffs on steel. So it is a little rocky right now as all as we’re going through all of this. But it is very important because we were headed off a cliff. And it takes a lot to get this ship turned around and to get the ship righted. And very appreciative that the Trump administration is attempting to make this happen, which I think they’re going to be successful. Well, great to have you, and Rob, you and I get to work with an amazing group of volunteers. This is a volunteer group that, since 1976, has been looking at legislation, taking positions on it, providing a ratings report at the end of the session, all volunteers. ramey johnson mary jansen dave evans cory onazorg paula beard and ray beard it’s a pretty amazing group of people rob yes it is they’re all good folks and they all are heavily invested into the mission of cut which is reviewing the weekly onslaught legislature that we deal with that we’re trying to fend for the taxpayer so yeah it’s it’s a They’re a good group of folk, and we’re happy to be engaged in this ongoing battle.

Well, it is. And, Rob, sometimes people ask me, they say, well, why should I join CUT? And it’s only $25. You can join by going to coloradotaxpayer.org. Is it really going to make a difference? Are you really moving the needle? And, well, what do you say to people when they ask you that question?
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, I tell them that sometimes, you know, like anything else, it’s more obvious the progress that we’re making in our objective. But it gives you an opportunity to be part of something big that is in a worthy endeavor helping to defend for the taxpayer. And you don’t have to get overly involved. I was visiting with some folk last night about our upcoming campaign. change on a website which makes it a little more interactive for people to be involved with contacting your legislature about legislators about the upcoming bills to be engaged and it gives you an opportunity to be more engaged in what’s going on other than just voting every two years.
SPEAKER 14 :
Absolutely. And to be informed is one of the first things. And we will I hope that we will have for we’re calling it Colorado, excuse me, cut engaged. And I’m hoping that we’re going to have that up and running this next weekend. Zach ended up having a little health challenge. And so we had to stop and focus on that a little bit. So stay tuned on that. Let’s get into you, and I talked about some bills that we wanted to make sure people know about, and that is, let’s start with Senate Bill 25030, and increase transportation mode choice and reduce admissions. These things always have a title, but this, I think, ultimately could be about control. What’s your comments on this?
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, that’s what we, when we looked at the details as best we could find from the bill, that that’s a concern that the current folk at the Capitol are pushing their agenda, the Green New Deal, which isn’t in the best interest of the folks here in the state. And we get into the weeds. I was going to pull up real quick here the fiscal note on that. It’s not a lot of money involved, but it’s more driving an agenda. And that’s why we had concerns with it. And so we wanted to put a thumbs down on that. We’re not too keen on more subsidized mass transit because it’s a consortium of individuals that are pushing this. And we don’t see that as in favor of the taxpayer.
SPEAKER 14 :
Good, good point. Let’s move on to Senate Bill 25-167, invest state funds to benefit communities. Again, they make it sound nice, but we’re a no on that. And why?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, on this one, it was mandating allocation of funds. And it has the bill. There’s a detail in there. The bill includes a provision prioritizing housing for public school employees. And so we’re wondering about, you know, tipping the scale, why the favor of one group of people that are already government employees and the taxpayers having to subsidize that. And there’s no fiscal note yet, so that’s a little bit concerned. But, you know, we were a solid no on that. Although we do show that there’s, for this year, there’s $31-plus million that’s allocated in expenditures toward this type of thing. So we’re trying to slow the roll on that.
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, and that $31 million should go back to the taxpayers so all taxpayers would have more money in their pockets so they would be able to afford their housing, yes?
SPEAKER 07 :
Right, right. That’s what we’re thinking. Let the taxpayers decide with their funds on that.
SPEAKER 14 :
What a novel idea, Rob Knuth.
SPEAKER 07 :
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER 14 :
Let’s talk about the next one, Senate Bill 25-180. And you know what? One of the things that I forgot, listeners like to know who the sponsors are. So on that Senate Bill 030, increased transportation mode, that’s Senator Faith Winner, Senator Nick Hendrickson, Representative Meg Froelich. And then on this invest state funds to benefit communities bill, There’s only one sponsor. That is Senator Judith Emma Bile. Then this next one, and this is Senate Bill 25-180. We’re a no on that, and the sponsors are Senator Judith Emma Bile, Representative Shannon Byrd, Senator Jeff Bridges, Senator Barbara Kirkmeyer, Representative Emilis Roda, and Representative Rick Taggart. This does have bipartisan support, but we’re a no on this at CUT.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, this one is getting into the weeds as far as how we’re going to population growth is going to figure in, and we see it as a way of undermining TABOR, and they’re wanting to tweak how they calculate that stuff. I don’t remember offhand if we had seen a fiscal note on that. Let’s see.
SPEAKER 14 :
I’ll take a look at that while you’re commenting on that. I’ll find that for you. I’ve got the link here.
SPEAKER 07 :
But anyway, we had an issue with… getting back here to my text here. Here we go. With the details of it, yeah, there is a bipartisan concern or support for the bill, but it also maintains provisions for carrying forward population change adjustments across multiple fiscal years. And we just see that as kind of a recipe for
SPEAKER 14 :
uh further nefarious actions in regards to how we’re going to affect the tabor refunds well and i did i just looked up the fiscal note on that rob and it is a fiscal note of 18.1 million regarding tabor so that’s a big a big hit on that yeah it’s just
SPEAKER 07 :
You add a million here and a million there, pretty soon we’re dealing with some funds.
SPEAKER 14 :
I think somebody said with real money.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, definitely. Yeah. Senator Dirksen mentioned that years ago in the U.S. Senate. But that was kind of his phrase. A million here, a million there, pretty soon you’re talking real money.
SPEAKER 14 :
Absolutely, absolutely. Okay, next one, House Bill 1186. This is prime sponsors, Representative Matthew Martinez and Representative Megan Lukens. Work-based learning experiences in higher education. Cut votes no. Why?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, there’s nothing to prevent schools and industry setting up work projects without more state expenditure. And so we’re figuring that’s just kind of creating, you know, adding to the bureaucracy and the expenditures that’s going to come at the cost of the taxpayers’ hard-earned dime. So we’re staying away from that one. I don’t see anything other details per se that seem nefarious, but just the idea of what we’re doing, expanding the education role, and already we have poor results for our for our students, so we don’t see that as something that’s good for taxpayers as a whole.
SPEAKER 14 :
Okay, and then the last one we wanted to talk about is House Bill 25-1192. Again, bipartisan support on this. Sponsors are Representative Anthony Hartsook, Representative Jennifer Bacon, and Senator Jeff Bridges, and Senator Lisa Frizzell. It’s financial literacy graduation requirements, cut votes, no. And there’s something in there that we’re all very concerned about. What is that?
SPEAKER 07 :
yeah on that one this is one that it automatically signs students up if i’m remembering correctly this one i had notes that i believe is an automatic sign up for the students to get federal aid when they’re in the program and so we figure that just gets them more used to getting money from the government and kind of isolates him from making wise decisions on their own part of what they want to do and proceeding with their higher education There is an opt out opportunity, but most we see it as more of an odious thing, getting students kind of used to, you know, relying on the government for the cost of their education.
SPEAKER 14 :
And so we’re a strong no on that as well. Yes. I feel like this is speed dating on bills at the state legislature, Rob Knuth.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, yeah, a lot of it sure could be looked at that way. Yeah, but we’ve covered… It’s kind of hard to get into all the details, but we do our best to try to, you know, look at the fiscal notes and what are the unintended consequences by creating this new legislation. So, yeah, and when you look at it, you get over in the fiscal notes, they have several different ones and all when you get into the details on stuff like that that’s always a concern that the increase in the size of government and the negative outweighing any good intent that was met by the legislators well and rob uh excellent synopsis on these particular five bills i appreciate uh you on on the air for our wednesday cut update and we will see you next monday for the board meeting i appreciate all you do Yes, ma’am. Okay, let’s jump into some of these. Let’s jump into some of the things that you have at Car Coach Reports. The first thing, this was five days ago when you posted this, was the 25% automotive tariffs are real. And tariffs are certainly in the news right now. What should people know about Trump’s tariffs?
SPEAKER 16 :
I think it’s I find it very interesting because people freak out over these tariffs, especially the mainstream media. So before you panic, which is very easy to do, I think it’s important to understand what the tariffs are all about. And what’s the bottom line? Obviously, bring jobs back to America. It also means that we want the production coming back here, which is good for the economy. It’s good for jobs. It’s good for business, good for everything. But then also people saw this Canada thing going on with the, fine, you’re going to raise our tariffs for 25% in electricity, which I thought was a really foolish move, because when Trudeau was in office, he said, I’m going to raise the tariffs by 25%. Trump is hysterical. He’s like, Governor Trudeau. It’s an insult, which I’m just loving how he handled it because these people are really arrogant enough to think that they can come back and try and play at the same level. But the real truth is our GDP is only impacted by like less than 3% from both Mexico and from Canada. If Mexico and Canada said, we’re not going to sell to you anymore, anything, that’s fine. we would be totally fine. The impact is so minimal, unlike what the mainstream media is saying. And you think, oh, everything’s going to get more expensive. Not necessarily. We do have partners. Plus, we want to build here, which is jobs, which means you have more money to spend, which means higher wages. Again, everything goes up, the rising tides theory. But when they try to play this game, they don’t realize that their economy is impacted by 40%. So the impact from us to Canada and Mexico, it’s a little above or below, depending on which country. But still, it’s a big impact. So for them to foolishly push back on President Trump is just a foolish move. And the result of that was, where I live in Buffalo, we somehow, makes no sense, use our energy from Quebec, which is like, why? We have Niagara Falls here. That energy should be here. And instead, we somehow ship it to New York City again. How this happened, I don’t know. How do I undo it? Well, that’s going to take someone in the energy department to untwist this mess. But in the meantime, as soon as Trump says, go ahead, I’ll just raise it another 25%.

I’ll see your 25 and I’ll raise it, huh?
SPEAKER 16 :
Oh, my gosh. I started laughing. I said to my husband, I go, this is hysterical. I go, now they’ve just asked for a 50 percent increase on Friday. Wait a minute. We’ll back that down. And then they put out an official apology to the American people. So I did speak with a friend of mine who lives in Canada. We’re really close friends. And I asked him, you know, it’s different when we’re here. And they’re in Canada. So they’re in a completely different perspective. And their perspective is they didn’t like Trudeau. He was going to get booted out one way or the other. Their new replacement is this guy Carney, who is basically the same thing. He says it’s Trudeau 2.0. So there’s no change as far as opinions, thoughts on economy and all that. So that’s not good for the Canadian citizens either. On the other side is Poliev, who’s the guy I will remember who’s eating an apple while answering questions. They call him the Trump of Canada. He’s not. He’s a much weaker version of that. I guess his… Chances of getting an office are high, but they dropped during this tariff discussion. And I said, when’s your elections? Because, you know, unless you follow every country’s politics, you wouldn’t know. And he said November. I said, you have to November. Anything could change. And so he said, unfortunately, a lot of Canadians are very upset and they’re blaming America for this situation. But the truth is. We’ve been taken advantage of. And it’s not just on cars and components. I have a degree in economics also, so I love all this stuff. But it’s also, why are we buying cheese and dairy products from Canada when we have Wisconsin? We have Indiana. We have Oklahoma. Why are we buying these products from Canada? The tariffs are high. They’re like 250%.
SPEAKER 14 :
That’s a lot. So people, and again, the headlines, the mainstream media is really trying to get people whacked out regarding these tariffs. Of course, the stock market has had significant pressure on it because of that narrative out there. But I was out to dinner the other night, and looking at the bill, the taxes, so it would be state and local sales tax, was 10%. And I thought… Goodness, here we’ve got a 10% tariff on going out to dinner and people are just paying that. We need to be lowering taxes here and taxes and fees here in America because we’re basically just paying a tariff right there. What do you think about that?
SPEAKER 16 :
I think you’re 100% correct. I don’t think people realize that. And that’s why they’re trying to get rid of the internal revenue and make it the external revenue. So in other words, countries… that take advantage of us, and there’s quite a few of them, they would pay the tariffs and that would cover our costs. To give you an example on a smaller scale, like, I believe it’s Kuwait. They don’t have any taxes at all. They have an investment. They take their investments in their land, their buildings, their oil, and they use the profits from that to pay for roads and bridges and services that are required for their people. There’s no tax at all to live there. So that’s where people want to live there.
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, and part of it is getting government back into its proper role because paying for this expanded government takes so much out of the pockets of everyday people. We are seeing with Doge and Elon Musk that these, I call them PBIs, these politicians, bureaucrats, and interested parties have been fleecing everyday hardworking Americans. And it’s almost comical that… to see these protesters that are out there basically protesting, yes, we want to support waste, fraud, and abuse in government. And I think the American people are seeing what’s really happening here, Loren.
SPEAKER 16 :
no it’s absolutely true i mean the consumers are starting to wake up the average person who never had a clue is saying well hold on a second and they’re doing a little bit of homework and we saw this during the election and we’re seeing this again uh as people are starting to try and figure out what is going on and i i find this very interesting because i think i think people don’t realize what’s involved in the tariffs. So when we ship stuff to Canada, especially car components, which is where my specialty is, and maybe it’s a car part, that car part then goes into a final assembly into a truck. But coming this way, there are companies in Canada who will do this, what we call sub-assemblies. Maybe it’s the suspension or a seat assembly or A dashboard, just to give you some ideas so you can get a visual, and they ship it to the U.S., and then the final assembly could be in Michigan or Indiana or Georgia, for that matter. And this back-and-forth across the border, both with Canada and with Mexico, is supposed to be terror-free. However, the USMCA, and this is where I think people don’t realize, that’s the United States, Mexico and Canada, put together this free trade agreement that was done during Trump’s first administration, which is better than the previous version of this agreement, which they were taking advantage of us. Well, somebody pretty smart saw a loophole, took advantage of that loophole and increased the tariffs to us. And we end up paying the bulk of it. So Trump is trying to get people back to the table because President Trump really wants to renegotiate USMCA free trade deal early. And the terms should be more favorable to the U.S. and they’re not. And the review of the treaty is supposed to be July 1st of 2026. But the thinking is that Trump doesn’t want to wait that long. He wants to bring them to the table earlier, both Canada and Mexico, so they can bargain. And that would be good. And U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said on Saturday that the tariffs on Canada and Mexico will go into effect this coming week, which is fantastic. But President Trump will determine whether to stick with the plan 25 percent levels. and the idea is the pressure on them saying well hold on you know we’ve always been charging you but you haven’t been charging us well that’s nice that’s not you wouldn’t do that with anything else in your life um and so that’s why they thought if you can get them to the table to discuss this is how you’re going to get this to happen again mainstream media will not talk about this you’re only going to hear everything’s going to get more expensive i saw a youtube video where someone said they’re going to charge $20,000 more for a car. Listen, if you’re dumb enough to pay $20,000 more for a car than the window sticker because of an excuse of tariffs, then you’re the fool. You need to walk away from any dealer that’s doing that. True or not, just move along. There’s dealers all across the country who will do work with you, preferably local. But if you can’t buy local… Start looking outside your area because every single dealer has cars and they want to make deals. And the last thing they’re going to do is raise the prices by $10,000 or $20,000 or any price. They need to lower prices, which is what they’re doing.

Next thing I wanted to ask you, Lauren, and you’ve addressed this at Car Coach Reports, is the, again, the mainstream media has said that Elon Musk is getting $400 million for Cybertrucks for the military. And I don’t like that headline. Is that true?

No, it’s actually false. So I did a story on a fact check. The government put $400 million worth of Tesla Cybertrucks in order. Elon didn’t even know about this. So apparently this had been done under Biden after the election. We don’t know. Now that we’re learning about the auto pen and all that, I’m sure you’ve discussed that at some point or will be. But apparently it was for ordering armored electric vehicles. interesting and it was supposed to be a five-year purchase for 400 million dollars worth of tesla cyber trucks i’m sure you’d like the order because the sales are down right now of course yesterday president trump purchased a model s but uh again if you want to buy one go for it if you don’t then you shouldn’t be forced into it but it’s really interesting because it was hidden it wasn’t in where you would expect it to be so you’re thinking oh so there’s supposed to be an order that elon musk didn’t know about that hadn’t been placed And what they had done is they had buried it in a budget line that no one had found it. So when it was first drafted under the Biden administration in December, it included specifically armored Teslas in the description of one of the line items. It included armored sedans and BMW X5 and X7s, which are SUVs. But the State Department has now changed all of this because we have a new leadership and made it more generic as armored electric cars. But that apparently is going to go away as well because I have a story coming out where they basically pulled the plug on all government electric vehicles and all the charging stations that everyone was charging for free. How convenient. That’s being pulled. But the U.S. Department… State Department procurement forecast is for armored vehicles. Now that’s been pulled out, someone slid that in there. Obviously, this was meant, it’s like a sneak attack on Elon Musk, like everything else they’re doing. But social media users are claiming that it’s true. It’s not true. So the United States Department is not planning to spend $400 billion. Tesla Cybertrucks. And so I just put the whole story out there along with where they hit it. It was very interesting. But Doge found it as well. And of course, they deleted the contract.
SPEAKER 14 :
Okay. And a quick comment on these attacks upon Tesla dealerships, charging stations. This is pretty remarkable.
SPEAKER 16 :
It is. And it’s now, as of yesterday, President Trump said that he is making that considered domestic terrorism. Oh, my. No, you’ve got to do it. I mean, think about it. These people are crazy. And they’ve approached people, other news outlets, like all the stuff you see on like Rumble and stuff. They’ve approached some of these people that are protesting and they said, are you getting paid to do this? And they’re like, oh, yeah, I’m getting paid by someone. The question is whom? So they believe it’s USAID money that had been transferred to Soros. Soros sends it to some sort of firm, and then they go out and pay people. So it’s a rabbit trail, and you’ve got to find that rabbit trail, and that’s what Doge is doing, finding out where this money is going. So it’s your tax dollars being used to terrorize and hassle politicians that are not on the same page as George Soros, and that is exactly what’s happening. So before you think this is true, The average person isn’t going out there and protesting. We don’t have time for that. It’s obviously someone getting paid. So the question is who? And those are the same protesters, the same group of people that you see at every single protest or every sort of odd thing that you’re going, why are people protesting this or rallying for this? This is why they’re getting paid.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah. And again, that whole USAID thing is just crazy what they’ve uncovered there. And I was talking with some people. It’s apparently a comedian said, why are we paying people to hate us? They should be able to hate us for free.
SPEAKER 16 :
Right? That is so spot on. Listen, if you’re really upset, you have a right to go make a sign and stand out there and scream all you want. You don’t have the right to damage other people’s property, no matter what brand or what car or what person. That’s illegal. And the fact in the past, they haven’t been arresting these people and putting them in prison. Well, now you’re going to find yourself in prison because this is a whole new group of people now, and the police do matter. They always have. But for some odd reason, they wanted to let these terrorists essentially give us a tough time in one way or the other. And you’re seeing even Elon Musk, he’s had death threats and everything. It’s absolutely crazy.
SPEAKER 14 :
So, Lauren, and I really want to get to this last issue, but this brings up something. I was with someone recently who was talking about the UnitedHealthcare executive that was gunned down. And there are those on the left that have tried to make the case that this was just, if you will, because of health care claims that might have been denied or blah, blah, blah. So we’re going to leave that over there. and then my my colleague said well george washington had resorted to violence in the revolutionary war and i stopped me for just a minute and then i said another animal then yeah i said that is true but what they were fighting for was ultimately this vision of the declaration and the constitution where we would settle our differences not by violence but by this rule of constitutional law. And I said, and this is unique throughout the history of society. So these people that are resorting to violence are circumventing the whole American idea because we have put in place ways to figure out our differences without violence. But those that are resorting to that, that’s not okay.
SPEAKER 16 :
Right. I mean, I don’t ever condone violence. I just think that’s just not the way to do things. I think that you can have a conversation with most people, most sane people, and they’re more than willing to chat with you. But I don’t know. I’ve never been a fan of this. I know that in the past they stopped allowing canes on the floor of the Senate because people would beat each other to death. It’s like, I mean, to me, that’s just like crazy. I think in today’s world, here we are in 2025, if you can’t sit down and have a conversation with someone, then one of those two people that won’t talk has the issue. You should be able to talk to anyone about anything. That’s my opinion, but I know some people are haters, and you’ll never be able to convince them. There’s other countries that feel that way, too. And that’s a tough situation. And there are experts that handle that thing. But I’m never, ever a fan of if you’re dissatisfied with someone that you go right to violence. That is not the way to do things.

Yes, this is something brand new. This is Lee Zeldin. I was actually going to check on it today. February 15th, Lee Zeldin said that he was going to bring this. It’s a CRA, which is a… This is a little bit more complicated to make. I’ll make it as quick as I can. Lee Zeldin, who is in charge of the EPA on February 15th, said we’re going to lift that California Air Resources Board, that California waiver, which mandates electric cars. The key thing to the whole thing is it went in February 15th. It’s supposed to be expedited to the floor. It’s called a CRA, which is basically a congressional act. And a CRA states that if it’s passed, the EPA and the federal government cannot reattempt to approve the rule. Love this. The process allows the vote to come to the floor with an expedited fashion, which we don’t have a date. I’m working on that now. Forcing all members to put on record their votes. And if Congress votes to undo the rule, the agency cannot propose a similar regulation again. it would require an act of Congress to override it. Wow. That I love. I love it. I’m waiting for it to happen. Maybe I was going to reach out to Lee Zeldin’s office and see if I can get some sort of comment on that. But I find this very interesting.

We’ve seen the Those on the far extreme left seem to be combusting regarding Doge, the Elon Musk and company that is fighting waste, fraud and abuse that’s been fleecing the American taxpayers. And apparently there are those that really want to support waste, fraud and abuse, probably because they’re benefiting from that. But again, the combustible engine is the engine that really has allowed us to have freedom of mobility, everyday people. And so your challenge is to use the word combust or combustible in a sentence today. And that’s C-O-M-B-U-S-T. Our quote for the day is from Henry Ford. And he said this, nobody can think straight who does not work. Idleness warps the mind. So those that are putting people, well, several things. It is difficult with all the fees and taxes and inflation and all of the rules and regulations and ordinances. All of this is taking money out of the pockets of people and taking away opportunity. And then what happens is people look to government for help and then become dependent on the government. And then many times may not be working to their utmost potential. And then it can create idleness. And being idle, you’re not creating. You’re not innovating. You’re not working hard. And so it leads to mediocrity, if not less. So this is what Henry Ford said. And he realized this. He said, nobody can think straight who does not work. Idleness warps the mind. And that is the quote of the day from Henry Ford. Boy, a lot’s happened since we talked. Well, I guess I talked with you a couple of weeks ago because I was out last week. But the stock market is down because of all this tariff talk. I just saw it come across the wire that inflation numbers are down. So what’s our update? What do we need to know?
SPEAKER 04 :
So we’ll see what happens today with mortgage rates because you’re right, that inflation data, the CPI just came out a little lower, which is nice. Nice for the Fed because that’s what the Fed keeps a keen eye on is, you know, these inflation data. So it could mean cuts down the road. But for right now, mortgages have been in an interesting area because of all this uncertainty. We talk a lot about how markets like certainty. And right now there’s a lot of uncertainty. So what we’re seeing is kind of like an up and down in mortgage rates here almost on the daily. The 10-year Treasury that you and I discuss all the time, Saw a low of about $4.19 just the other day, and then yesterday it was back to like $4.27. So it’s bouncing around. And the reason for that is when the market goes down, sometimes people take that money and buy safe assets, which is what bonds are because they’re guaranteed. But sometimes they just sell everything. And lately it’s just been depending on the day of what people are doing. So it’s more important than ever right now to stay in touch with someone if you’re looking to buy a home and making sure your rates are staying where they are or that they haven’t jumped on you or moved. But also if you think there’s an opportunity to maybe refinance or do something, it’s important to make those calls. I will say I read again just the other day how credit card debt in this country has eclipsed all-time records, something like $1.3 trillion or something crazy. So there are people out there who can benefit from possibly doing something, whether it be a second mortgage with a good blended rate or even possibly redoing a lower rate first just to get out of these. These credit cards can have 19%, 20%, 23%, 24% interest rates on them. And if people are carrying heavy debt there, there could be an opportunity to wipe that stuff out and make their life a little easier.
SPEAKER 14 :
Hey, Lauren, do these credit cards companies work with people? If people’s carrying a balance, can people contact them? Do they work with people at all about a lower rate or anything?
SPEAKER 04 :
Unfortunately, to my knowledge, no. The rate is published when you get the card, and then it moves with the Fed, you know, up and down. But unfortunately, what happens to a lot of people is if they want to get out of this credit card debt and they don’t have any other option, They’ll just not make the payments, which will then destroy their credit. And those cards don’t just give up. They inevitably will sell to some sort of a collection agency for pennies on the dollar. And then you’ve got these collection agencies after you. And a lot of those collection agencies are tied into law firms, which could then place liens on homes. And they charge even higher interest when they get their hands on it because they add fees and all kinds of stuff.
SPEAKER 14 :
So that’s why instead of getting that lien on a home. So people are getting squeezed because of inflation and taxes and fees. And as you know on the show, we are working diligently to try to get fees and taxes and ordinances and rules and regulations lowered. So we want to help people that way. But instead of getting to a point where you got this lien over here, you might consider a second or, as you mentioned, just talk to you. Because I know people are reticent. They’re like, I don’t want to put another lien on my home with a second mortgage. But it’s better that they be in control of the situation than a credit card company.
SPEAKER 04 :
Absolutely. And all we’ll ever do with somebody is take a look at the numbers. And, you know, if someone has out-of-control balances on credit card debt and things like that, if we can save them hundreds and hundreds of dollars a month, they have to look at things called blended rates and see what the rate is on their first and what the second would look like and see if we can save them a ton of money and allow them to breathe and stay in their home or not have to file bankruptcy or do things like that. And home values have been holding up tremendously in this area. So there is a lot of home equity out there that can be tapped to take care of a lot of this debt.
SPEAKER 14 :

Yeah, they do. They really do. And I think it’s going to be a really great event. And a number of the electeds are going to be there as well. Elected representatives, which I like to to make sure that people remember that they’re representatives. They’re not officials officiating over our lives. And it’s important. I love that.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah.

And so did you miss me?

Alan, we had a fantastic time last week. It went fast.
SPEAKER 14 :
It was a great show. But a lot’s happened since I talked to you over the last couple of weeks. So first of all, what have you been up to the last couple of weeks?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, last week I was completely obsessed with House Bill 1052 in South Dakota, which is now law. It’s a great story. Did you want me to tell you about that?
SPEAKER 15 :
I do.
SPEAKER 08 :
Because anybody that’s listening to the Kim Munchen show knows that I’ve been working on the South Dakota, well, all CO2 pipelines, but South Dakota’s been the example that I’ve shared that stands to bring freedom to all of us. And just like Kim says at the beginning, if it If it’s a good idea, it should not be forced upon us. Well, they’re trying to force the CO2 pipeline and CO2 injection upon us. And major shifts in the past. I want to preface this by saying in the 2024 primary and general election, Kim, in the state of South Dakota, there was 14 incumbents that were primaried out in the primary elections. And almost all of those were Republicans. And there were Republicans that were, well, yeah, they were standing on the wrong side of the CO2 pipeline issue and the use of eminent domain. So that kind of set the stage for what was about to take place, which was the introduction of House Bill 1052. I might also mention that after the primary, the South Dakota Supreme Court ruled that CO2 pipelines could not be a common carrier pipeline. not for public use, and so could not be used, a dominant domain from a Supreme Court standing could not be used for CO2 pipelines. That occurred in summer, June of 2024.
SPEAKER 14 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 08 :
And then at the beginning, it was January 14th, actually, the House bill, a friend of mine, Carla Lims, introduced and championed the House Bill 1052. You know how many pages long these bills are. Would you mind if we just take the time and I read you the entire bill? Please do. You know, some of the bills are 10 pages long, right, though, Kim?
SPEAKER 14 :
Some of them are 42 pages long here in Colorado, but I assume this one’s not that long.
SPEAKER 08 :
All right, well, settle in, get a cup of coffee, maybe a smoke, depending on what’s your preference. Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law, a person may not exercise the right of eminent domain to acquire a right-of-way for, construct, or operate a pipeline for the preponderance purpose of transporting carbon oxide.
SPEAKER 14 :
That’s it?
SPEAKER 08 :
That’s it.
SPEAKER 14 :
I love it.
SPEAKER 08 :
Two proposed amendments, one in the House, one in the Senate, were proposed today. And it came out of the House committee with a supermajority. It passed in the House with a supermajority. It came out of the Senate Affairs Committee with a supermajority, seven to two to be exact. And then the official vote on the floor of the Senate was 23 yes, 12 no, which was a half of a vote short of a supermajority in each vote that was taken in. And the next day, Governor Roden signed the bill. Now, you sent me an article that gave Governor Roden all of the credit. That’s what the title would lead you to believe. We were not sure if he would sign it. I actually believe that he would not sign it. And if he doesn’t sign it, it automatically becomes law or veto it. And he signed it the next day. And the reason is that if you go back to what we spend a lot of time talking about, which was RL21, that referendum vote that occurred in South Dakota about losing local control. No county had a vote of less than 50%. Two counties, which both happen to be tribal counties, which I don’t really understand. One was 51, one was 54. Every other county in the state of South Dakota, when it comes to losing local control because of CO2 pipelines, overwhelmingly with 78% being one county. So they’re all between 60 and 78% said, no, we do not want to lose local control. And they maintain it with RL 21. So this was just another extension of the fight of trying to remove local control. And South Dakota continues to be the example of how we maintain liberty, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
SPEAKER 14 :
So what does this mean for Summit Carbon Solutions?
SPEAKER 08 :
It means a lot because they have to menager around South Dakota. In fact, some people are quoted in Summit saying, okay, we’re abandoning South Dakota. I don’t know that they’re going to abandon South Dakota. Some are saying that they’re going to reroute and go through Minnesota. Well, that’s problematic. Minnesota has no eminent domain whatsoever, so they have to get a 100% voluntary compliance to do that. The other component that nobody’s talking about other than Trent Luscombe is when the Public Utilities Commission of Iowa granted a permit to South Dakota to use eminent domain to build a pipeline in the state of Iowa.
SPEAKER 14 :
Now, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. You said that Iowa, you said to South Dakota, did you mean to summit?
SPEAKER 08 :
Correct. Summit Carbon Solutions. Thank you for correcting me on that.
SPEAKER 14 :
Oh, you heard it first here. I corrected Trent Lutz.
SPEAKER 08 :
There you go. There’s been a pattern of that in the last week, so you’re just one of the many.

Okay.
SPEAKER 08 :
So the Iowa Public Utilities Commission in the summer of 2024 granted Summit Carbon Solutions a permit to utilize eminent domain to build a CO2 pipeline But in their permit, it said, and this is contingent upon equal permitting in South Dakota and North Dakota. And that’s clearly not going to happen because South Dakota has not put a kill switch on it, but South Dakota is not granting it with eminent domain, which is going to make it a tremendous challenge. So the whole situation is right now up in the air, and nobody really knows what’s taking place. Thank you to South Dakota.
SPEAKER 14 :
So in this article that I sent over to you, and this was from the Tampa Free Press, it says that Summit Carbon Solutions had $9 billion. Now this probably – and you and I have not talked since the USAID thing and that we’d seen the EPA had squirreled away billions of dollars recently. before Biden left office, $2 billion of it to go to Stacey Abrams for green stuff, as, again, I’ve determined the green in the Green New Deal is the green that’s going into these PBIs’ pockets. So is this $9 billion that’s quoted in this article for Summit Carbon Solutions, is that part of this whole EPA money, or do you know?
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, that’s 45Q tax credits, 100% from Inflation Reduction Act.
SPEAKER 14 :
Okay. So they’re not going to go, they’re not going to want to let go of that $9 billion easily. So what’s going to happen, do you think?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, Donald Trump is 100% supportive of CO2 pipelines. he is not going to interfere in any way, shape, or form with that. And it puts him in a quandary because he’s going to pretend that he doesn’t like Inflation Reduction Act money, but that’s where that comes from. And I’ll just remind everybody that December 28, 2000, Donald Trump signed the Use It Act, which is what allowed CO2 pipelines to tap into the 45Q tax credits. So he’s been a supporter from day one. I expect zero assistance from the federal government.
SPEAKER 14 :
Boy, we need to get that changed. And so we’re going to continue the discussion with Trent Liu, sixth generation farmer and rancher, who talks about these issues regarding the people of rural America that feed and fuel us. And all the people that feed and fuel us, all this, we then see this. At the gas pump, at the grocery store, we’ve taken for granted affordable and abundant energy, excuse me, food supplies and energy supplies for far too long. That’s been under attack. And we need to shed light on this because it’s a blessing to be able to go to the grocery store and have abundant and affordable food supplies. These are important discussions. And apparently, as you were getting near the end of the war, the Nazis were eating the horses. And apparently somebody reached out to the Americans and said, you need to save these horses. And Phil Larimore did that. And it’s a remarkable story regarding saving these Lipassan horses. But I guess Hitler not only wanted to have, quote unquote, the perfect human race, but the perfect race, races of horses as well.

Is that a question?
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah. Well, it’s a throw over to you. What do you think about the liposomal horses?
SPEAKER 08 :
Oh, they’re beautiful. They got a lot of hair. That’s too much hair for me to take care of. But they are all white. I don’t think that’s an accident in Hitler’s world.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah, that’s probably true as well. But this is going to be a great presentation next Thursday, so join me there. So let’s get back over to our issues. We were talking about – and you and I both have issues, don’t we? You’ve been talking to my therapist?
SPEAKER 08 :
Yes. Oh, wait. You are my therapist.
SPEAKER 14 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 14 :
Send the check to KLZ, okay? Regarding this – You mentioned on the CO2 pipelines and all of these counties in South Dakota that had voted for local control, but you said the tribal counties and reservations had not. And Mark, one of our listeners, said that many of these tribal counties and Indian reservations are very socialistic. He wanted to make that point.
SPEAKER 08 :
I agree with Mark, but the tribes have historically – But they were at the low end of the spectrum for 66 counties in the state of South Dakota. And one of those counties I lived in for five years. So, yeah, all tribes are opposed to pipeline zone. And, in fact, the tribal senators and members of the House, which are friends of mine, They were adamant in that we cannot have the CO2 pipeline. But when it came to the vote on local control at the county level, they were at 50 and 54 percent. So they weren’t opposed to it. They were just on the low end of the spectrum.
SPEAKER 14 :
OK, thanks for the clarification on that. Let’s go back to, you mentioned that Donald Trump has been in favor of these CO2 pipelines. So we got to have a conversation with him. But Chris Wright, who is the Secretary of Energy from Colorado, founder of Liberty Energy, very highly respected. Has he made any statements regarding these CO2 pipelines?
SPEAKER 08 :
So when I had my conversation with Chris, which was now May of last year, We only approached the CO2 pipeline discussion. We didn’t really – I didn’t point blank ask him, and I regret that now. But the reason Donald Trump is in favor of this is that Harold Hamm, the guy who created fracking and expanded the recovery of oil through the Bakken and now into the regions of Midland, Texas, the Permian Basin, is – heavily invested to the tune of $5 million into… It may even be $5 billion. Don’t hold me on those numbers. But he’s heavily invested in Summit Carbon Solutions. And what most people in the oil world will tell you is that we need to have carbon capture and we need to put it in a pipeline and get it to the oil fields because it is the next level of technology in enhanced oil recovery. And they’re saying… that there will be an increased between 15% and 18% of the oil that’s in the ground. I believe Chris Wright is in favor of enhanced oil recovery and CO2. I don’t think Chris Wright’s in favor of injecting it into the ground like we’re talking about doing in Colorado and Wyoming and in North Dakota and different places around the country. But there is a place in North Dakota, Bowman, which is not in the Bakken region itself because that’s different from the shale formation. They’ve been using CO2 for the last year with the purposes of enhanced oil recovery. And people closest to the ground tell me that they’re not getting near the performance that we are being told they’re supposed to get, which is between 15% and 18%. At best, they’re getting between 4% and 5%. And what I’m told by people that really know is that until they start blending CO2 with 50% natural gas, 50% CO2, because CO2 is a cooling agent. We make dry ice from CO2 at 90 degrees below zero. So what it does is it gums up. So what they have to do is take 50% natural gas, 50% CO2, have a mixture, but to be honest, Kim, they haven’t figured out the secret sauce on how to make all of that work. So at this moment, it’s just blue sky eye looking at something that isn’t even happening. But the reason that Donald Trump is in favor of this is because you know that he continues to give lip service to, we need more oil, we need more oil, we need more oil. Harold Hamm, who is a large contributor of Donald Trump’s, who’s heavily invested in Summit Carbon Solutions, is the inventor of the fracking oil, is also the number one champion for CO2 for enhanced oil recovery.
SPEAKER 14 :
Okay, it’s going to be difficult to get him to change his mind. I’m just looking at this. This is from AP News. This was a couple of years ago, July 22, 2021. It says North Dakota’s biggest oil driller says it will commit $250 million to help fund a proposed pipeline that would gather carbon dioxide produced by ethanol plants across the Midwest and pump it underground. Need to make a clarification. for me then because there there’s really two things you can use co2 i think that you’re saying for me for enhanced um oil and gas production that’s one thing but then there’s this other thing of injecting the official term kim what what is it the infant enhanced oil recovery okay So there’s that. That’s one thing. And then the CO2 pipelines to inject CO2 into the ground is a different thing. Is that right? There’s two different issues we’re looking at?
SPEAKER 08 :
That’s correct. That’s correct. And the pipeline that was to go through South Dakota that still may if they get voluntary compliance is to go to just like the Denver formation that we’re talking about in Colorado, only it’s under Cheyenne, not under Denver. is to inject the CO2 a mile and a half deep under Earth. Whoever supports that is just completely lost. But the people who are trying to do that, like Summit Carbon Solutions and Harold Hamm, are going to get $85 per metric ton of CO2, which is injected into Earth. But that, in order for them to receive, because what the the common misnomer is well they’re going to put it under the earth until they get this secret sauce figured out for enhanced oil recovery then they’ll tap into it blatant lie if they inject co2 into the ground and if they collect 85 per metric ton the contract says and i can show you the line that it must remain in the ground for 12 years yeah that’s what i and ron ness who’s His executive of the North Dakota Petroleum Association told me himself that, you know as well as I do, that within 12 years there will be some new technology for enhanced solar recovery and it won’t matter what we have in the ground. So the whole thing is a boondoggle. The whole thing is a transfer of wealth with the people who already have the most wealth taking it from those that are going to contribute which in this case it’s 100 taxpayer dollars costing you money that was the question i was paying who was paying that 85 percent 100 taxpayer money directly from inflation reduction act okay so can we claw that money back from the inflation reduction act i would love to okay
SPEAKER 14 :
Okay. Okay. Okay. We have about three minutes before we go to break. And I had tossed this over to you regarding this couple that had sold their home and they decided to start 68,000 chickens laying eggs. And I thought this was a pretty interesting story. What’s your thoughts on that?
SPEAKER 08 :
Anything we can do to increase the diversity of where our food is produced and increase the number of people that are doing it is a win-win for all people. I don’t know if you’ve heard this or not, but last week the USDA, while you were on vacation somewhere in the snow mountains, last week the USDA announced that they’re going to import 70 million dozen eggs from Turkey, the country of Turkey. And they’re actively looking for other places to import eggs. Oh, my gosh. I’m like, this is not creating a solution. You’re putting a Band-Aid on a problem that’s bigger than this.
SPEAKER 14 :
Why would I want to actually import eggs from a turkey?
SPEAKER 08 :
It’s the country of turkey. I know. Oh, you got me. Which poses the question, why don’t we eat turkey eggs?
SPEAKER 14 :
I don’t know.
SPEAKER 08 :
We eat duck eggs. We eat duck eggs.
SPEAKER 14 :
When I was in France, they served a goose egg as the appetizer. And it was big. It was a big egg. I was not used to that. But let’s unpack this just a little bit. The USDA… Or the FDA had demanded that we kill chickens, healthy chickens.
SPEAKER 06 :
USDA.
SPEAKER 14 :
USDA. Killed healthy chickens because of the bird flu, but were willing to import eggs from Turkey. And I’ve got to think, gosh, there’s got to be a quality issue with that as well. This is crazy.
SPEAKER 08 :
Plus, they want to authorize $500 million for egg producers in the United States to increase biosecurity. I’m here to tell you that if you’ve been to these facilities that are shower-in, you’ve got to take a shower to go in the barn with these chickens. You can shower on your way out if you like. But here’s one thing I’m not buying, Kim, and there’s a lot of people trying to sell it. The fact that migratory birds are spreading H5N1 to these chickens… and turkeys that are inside these barns with biosecure measures is not probable. It could happen, but to happen at the rate that it has happened for the last year and a half is just, I mean, your odds of going to Vegas and winning the home run are a lot better than what these odds are. And yet they’re still telling us migratory birds are spreading this. Well, how is it getting in the barn? That’s what I want to know.
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, the other thing is, I drive by a golf course as I come into the studio, and there’s a whole bunch of geese there, and I’m not seeing any dead geese anywhere. So that’s just anecdotal on that. Trent Luce, we’re going to continue the discussion. I think Gammy is going to call in in this next hour to give us a rundown on what happened. She was on… watching this Senate Bill 003, which is that firearms bill that I try to figure out exactly what happened, and I haven’t seen it on the headlines. But Trent, this is one other thing. You know what? Let’s wait. I’ll ask you this when we come back. I’m talking with Trent Luce, Sixth Generation Farmer and Rancher. These are important discussions. They happen because of our sponsors. You know, that’s often the untalked about portion of farm and ranch life is that we raise kids that know what work ethic and responsibility is. And the lack of responsibility is because animals can die if you don’t take care of them properly. And if you think about the bigger picture of where our problems are today with work ethic and what we have lost in terms of production, what you just said right there about that family nails it.

Well, and our quote for the beginning of the show was from Henry Ford. And the quote is this. He said, he said, nobody can think straight who does not work. Idleness warps the mind. And again, hard work never really killed anybody, although there’s a lot of people that don’t want to try it. So we need to get back to that work ethic. Regarding yesterday, the Senate Bill 003 here in Colorado, which is basically a magazine ban, basically banning everyday law-abiding citizens from being able to keep their firearms to protect themselves and their families against bad actors. But Trent, and there’s a whole bunch of people that testified on this. There’s been a whole lot of focus, money on this particular bill. But Trent, what I really think that is happening is they’re taking this bill and putting so much attention here. And there are several other very bad firearms bills that are going through underneath the radar. And I think it’s a strategy, Trent Luce.
SPEAKER 08 :
We live in the world of distractions. In fact, on my wing in a prayer, which is a Sunday morning program that I do, TV program with Pastor Jeff Weiss from Tennessee, he read a verse from Timothy, which was all about you hear what you want to hear. And we live in the world of distractions today like never before. That’s what we’re dealing with and what you just described.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah, and that’s why we really are trying to stay honed in on these issues. I wanted to talk with Gammy. You know her. She is so informed, so fervent on protecting our children and understanding how this… Very terrible legislation down at the Statehouse is affecting us. There are some good bills out there as well. But, Gammy, welcome to the show. You wanted to testify yesterday on this Senate Bill 003, which was in the House Judiciary Committee. You were on the computer all day, right? So bring us up to speed. What happened? Yeah.
SPEAKER 13 :
OK, good morning, hugs. Love you guys. I was on from 1030 in the morning until 1130 at night to hear the final vote, which, as you know, was seven to four party line. They voted it to the next financial committee. However, what people aren’t talking about. People got on there from, like, the sheriffs, Mesa, Morgan, Lake City, Teller, El Paso, Douglas, Montrose, La Plata, Custer, Longmont, and even Hope Sheppelman for the GOP for the state. Custer was a commissioner. You know, there were all these people. The sheriffs begged them and said, you never called us in to consult once for anything to do with safety. You never consulted with us with writing this very important bill that impacts us. Well, now, why was it so important for the sheriffs to be so adamant? Because they are going to have to administer some of the educational part of this new advanced bill. They want to increase education for concealed. We’re talking all kinds of. registry is coming into this. Gunsmithing is impacted. What kind of guns they didn’t name, which ones they did. They’re mixing the wildlife, you know, the hunter safety. Some people are using hunter safety as a training for concealed in other states. It’s insane. That doesn’t teach you how to use a weapon. But it’s more than that. What really happened was They just basically robbed not just 2A, they villainized not just the sheriffs, but all the law-abiding citizens who don’t do the crimes. And by enabling criminals, because they’re going to get the weapons anyway, and taken away from citizens, making everybody less safe. There are 1.8 million people saved by legal gun owners a year, and there’s about, I don’t know, a couple of million contact with guns. Eighty percent never a shot is fired, but a gun owner may have saved someone. But they ignored everything sensible. People from all over Colorado, hundreds of people came and spoke. The NRA guy, Sean Steele, said, Ian Escalani, Alicia Garcia, and a whole bunch of others. I wrote all their names down. But that’s not the point. The big hero of the night fought this. And Armaghost and Ty Winter really laid out a stomping, and they ignored them. because they’re mixing money from wildlife and the state, and they’re creating another huge infrastructure. A man named Nicholas Rogers may have been the hero of the night. Big Timber Lodge. He came in and said, besides all this Nazi bill and racism they’re using and villainizing the innocent people, and that’s not protecting all the victims. Civil rights grievance. Here’s what he did. He went to… showed them the bill and the federal now. The federal D.C., they said, you have got a civil rights national grievance and you’re going to need to file a legal class action lawsuit against this bill. And tons of lawyers, you know, and others said, don’t do this. It’s going to cost the state millions.
SPEAKER 14 :
But the problem with that, and Gammy, thank you, you are so informed on that, is that in order to file these lawsuits, Trent Luce, it requires money for attorneys to file these lawsuits. Yes, the state, they have, in a way, unlimited funds because they will use taxpayer dollars. to protect them. And so again, it takes time, it takes money, it takes energy, it takes wind out of the sails on other things. We’ve got a couple of minutes left. Trent Luce, your final thought on the Senate Bill 003.
SPEAKER 08 :
Oh, I don’t think I can add anything to that. It’s a distraction. And obviously, as Gammy walked us through, they did not want to hear the truth. I do want to share that our next full moon is is if you look it up anywhere, it says it is March 13th and 14th. It’s also a lunar eclipse. It’s also a moon called the Blood Moon. And March 13th and 14th is also the celebration and the Jewish community of Purim, which is a celebration of freeing the people from Queen Esther, saving the Jewish people from Haman. I think something’s going to happen on March 13th and 14th beyond the lunar cycle, Kim, just saying.

Okay, very interesting. And like 15 seconds, blood moon. A blue moon is the fifth full moon in a month, right? What’s a blood moon?

Well, each moon has a name. And a blue moon is a different – you can have two different blue moons. You can have – Six consecutive full moons in a season. Four in a season, which we did last fall. Or you can have two in a month. There’s two ways to have a blue moon. Every moon has a name. And this just happens to be the blood moon.

Okay. Trent Luce, always learned so much from you. And I’ve got a long quote for the end of the show from Henry Ford. So, Trent Luce, we’ll talk to you next week. Thank you.
