And taking other people’s stuff, another word for that could be stealing. So it’s never compassionate nor altruistic to steal other people’s stuff, whether or not it’s their rights, their property, freedom, livelihood, opportunities, childhood, their lives via force. And force can be a weapon, but it’s policies and unpredictable and excessive taxation, fear, coercion. Government-induced inflation, that’s the silent thief. The agenda by the World Economic Forum and the globalist elites played out through the United Nations. This Colorado legislature is being controlled by radical activist extremists, as well as this governor is a radical activist extremist as well. And he’s no libertarian. Don’t be fooled. Just look at the policies. Look at what his bureaucracies and commissions and boards are doing. And the legislature. He’s in control of all that. But we’ve got land use codes, zoning regulations, force fees, conservation easements, national monument designations. If you can’t control your land, use your land the way you want, or your property the way you want, you don’t own your property. And so that’s why it’s important that we… have these discussions. Let’s get over here to our word of the day. And it is a really interesting word. Let me get to it here. And it is drollery. And it’s spelled D-R-O-L-L-E-R-Y. And it could be a comical or whimsical quality. Or it could be a comical or whimsical way of acting, talking, or behaving. Or it could be the act of joking or clowning. And there’s no real drollery down at the State House. It’s April 1st. April fools. So I thought I’m going to go through some of these mini bills that we have down at the Colorado State House and see if I could find one that was kind of funny. And you know what? I didn’t find any of them that were very funny. I found that they were all serious. Many of them. Oh, my gosh. Joe. Joe. The yesterday was a busy day for all Colorado bills. I’m looking at bill track 50, which we use for cut. Yesterday, it was right around 570. Today, there’s 640 bills and resolutions. They’ve introduced well over 40, maybe 50 new bills. So we’re coming in on the last four weeks of the of the session. This is not good.
SPEAKER 19 :
No, it’s not. And how many does it take to really figure out that maybe there’s some over-regulation going on?
SPEAKER 17 :
One? How about one? Oh, man. Okay, my cut boards, we’ve had a little bit of a reprieve because, as you know, we take positions on many of the pieces of legislation that are scheduled for hearing for the next week. And so the last few weeks, we’ve taken positions on 220 pieces of legislation. My friends, this is an amazing amount of work. And it’s by all volunteers. We’d love to have you join us at the Colorado Union of Taxpayers. And I did want to say thank you to this group. And that is Steve Dorman, Greg Golianski, Russ Haas, Bill Hamill, Rob Knuth, John Nelson, Wendy Warner, Marty Nielsen, Rami Johnson, Mary Jansen, Dave Evans. Corey Onizorg, Paula Beard, and Ray Beard. So we’ve had a little bit of a reprieve. We’ve gone in and worked really hard here at the beginning. We’ve had maybe three or four bills these last couple of weeks that we’ve taken positions on because we’ve already taken positions on things or I’ve already looked at them. So this is like hang on to your hat. Things are going to get wild now because the last day of the legislative session is May 6th. So we’ve got about five weeks. That’s really quick. So, yeah, buckle up. Buckle up. But we promise we are going to be looking at these things. And then also, go over to the coloradotaxpayer.org. We have invested time, money, and energy in something called Cut Engaged. And you can actually easily let the bill sponsors come. And your legislator, your senator, and your representative, you can let them know what you think about some bills that we’ve selected. And there’s one bill that you – and it’s super, super easy. And so go to coloradotaxpayer.org. I go to at the very top, cut engaged. And I know that a number of you have done that because I saw that come through yesterday. But the bills, we selected four bills for this week. And there’s one that you really do want to weigh in on. And that is 1244, House Bill 1244, the Welcome, Reception, and Integration Grant Program. for people that have come here illegally. You might want to let the bill sponsors know how you feel about that. And it’s really easy to do. So be sure and check that out. There’s nothing drollery about any of this. This is pretty darn serious. And again, the word of the day is drollery. Your challenge is to use that in a sentence today. Because it is April 1st, April Fools, I went to Bob Hope for our quote of the day. And he was born in 1903. He died in 2003. He was an English-born American comedian, actor, entertainer, and producer with a career that spanned nearly 80 years and achievements in vaudeville, network television, radio, USO tours, and he appeared in more than 70 short and feature films, starring in 54 of those. And then he included a series of seven road to fill in the blank musical comedy films with Bing Crosby as his partner. And this is what Bob Hope said. He said, I don’t do political jokes because too many of them are getting elected. So there you go on that. Our bill of the day, I decided to go to, again, I was looking for things that are funny but not funny. And this was from Fox News. And it is wasteful and dangerous. Doge’s top five most shocking revelations. So here is number one. Musk reveals the Iron Mountain mine nightmare. He said he revealed that is investigating a limestone mine in Pennsylvania where federal employee retirements are processed manually. Hmm. Okay. Kind of interesting. Next thing, Doge-inspired EPA locates $20 billion in waste. And those are tax dollars within the agency that the Biden administration reportedly knew that they were wasting. And this is an extremely disturbing video that is on Fox News that was circulated a couple of months ago featuring a Biden EPA political appointee talking about how they were tossing gold bars off the Titanic railway. rushing to get billions of your tax dollars out the door before the inauguration day. And that was EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin reported that. I know that’s not very funny either. Next thing, the Department of Homeland Security is clawing back. Over $59 million that was given out to luxury New York hotels for illegal immigrants. Not really funny either, but I thought that you might want to know about that. Next one is, again, not funny, but kind of funny. It says the Pentagon wasted thousands on coffee cups and soap dispensers. It says the Pentagon’s $850 billion budget could be next up on the bureaucratic chopping block. The Defense Business Board found in 2015 that the Department of Defense could save $125 billion over five years by renegotiating service contracts and consolidating bureaucratic processes. A congressional inquiry in 2018 found the Air Force was spending $1,300 for each reheatable coffee cup aboard one of its aircraft. The Air Force spent $32,000 replacing 25 cups. Hmm. Then a two-year audit by the Defense Department Inspector General last year found that Boeing overcharged the Air Force by 8,000% for soap dispensers, which they overpaid by $149,000. Nothing really funny about that. And this is all pre-Doge. So that’s going to be interesting. And then, of course, we’ve seen all this regarding USAID, $40 billion budget, including Sesame Street in Iraq. And speaking of Sesame Street, yesterday we talked about this. Senate Bill 201 regarding websites that provide material that is harmful to children to verify their age of individuals who attempt to access such material. As I’ve heard from many of you, This is really probably a cover for control of the internet and also more information about you who are using the internet. Because as you read this, this is going to apply with internet providers that make revenue off of this. So let’s just think about an NGO. It’s considered not making revenue because it’s a nonprofit. And so, for example, what if Sesame Street or something like that might be providing material that’s inappropriate? Would that fall under this Senate Bill 201 because that’s considered a nonprofit? Right. Again, more and more questions are coming up about 201. This is Senate Bill 201. And I did put a call in to – there’s three Democrats on there and then one Republican. I put a call in to the Republican on that. And just so you know, the sponsor’s on that. are Republican Senator Paul Undine, Lindsay Doherty, Democrat, Megan Lukens, who is a Democrat, and I can’t remember her first name, Lindsay, who’s also a Democrat. These are such important discussions that we have, and we have them because of our sponsors. One of those sponsors is Hooters Restaurants. Well, it’s good being with you, Kim. And, you know, it’s kind of a special day today. at least it used to be in the legislature, it’s April 1st. And the staff used to prepare, I don’t know if they still do, but they used to prepare an April Fool’s calendar. And I wanted to start with kind of a fun fact, a curious fact, because they actually do have a little bit of a levity down there from time to time, especially about this time of the session when things are getting very intense. And I know that’s what we’ll talk about a bit later. But I remember one year when I was in the House, I had already distinguished myself as a pretty conservative guy, along with a couple of other colleagues. One was Senator Lambert, Kent Lambert, or excuse me, he was representative back then, as I was. And then Senator Doug Lamborn, who went on to be a member of Congress for a while. And we’re all pretty conservative, and so they created a calendar, and on one of the bills, it was the mistaken identity bill between Lundberg, Lamborn, and Langberg.
SPEAKER 17 :
That is clever.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, and the purpose of the bill was to determine the difference between the three. Wish there was none. Anyway, happy April Fool’s Day.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and I’ll tell you, so I got my kids one year. We had a little male dog. We do believe in male and female dogs, and so we had a little male dog. And I went downstairs and got the kids up. I said, you’re not going to believe it, but last night Snoozer had puppies. And they’re like, what? You’re cruel. I was cruel. It was cruel. Yeah, it was. But Kevin, there’s nothing funny going on now. I know that you watch legislation and I do as well as the president of the Colorado Union of Taxpayers. And yesterday, I’ve been keeping a running tally on we have all Colorado bills, which includes the resolutions. So yesterday morning, it was around 570. It’s at 640 today. Something happened within the last 24 hours.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, yes, the Joint Budget Committee submitted their long bill, which is the major budget bill. But there are always some what they call orbital bills. And, yeah, I got up kind of early this morning, and I reviewed the 49 orbital bills that were submitted along with the long bill. They’re all Senate bills, and that’s just the way it works. This odd-numbered year, the Senate has the chairmanship of the committee. So, yeah, they unloaded the 50 bills, some of which are rather interesting because they’ve repealed a lot of programs in order to try to balance the budget. And some of those are, I think, pretty decent ideas to get rid of a lot of programs. But some of them I have some deep questions on, too.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay, so Senator Lundberg, question, because I will be looking at all these orbital bills then this weekend. And what should I know about that as the president of CUT? Because I’m still learning.
SPEAKER 03 :
This year in particular, when the Joint Budget Committee looked at the reality of what the anticipated revenues are and what they’re, anticipated spending was they were about a billion dollars out of balance. And so they’ve had to do some pretty significant cuts and juggling to this is something you need to look at is sometimes when it looks like, oh, they took this away. No, they just put it in another corner. But this year they really did have to deal with that stark cold reality, which I think is a really good thing down in capital. When they’re short on revenues, maybe they have to look at repealing some things, and they have some. And I identified a couple of good ones at least. And then they’ve done a lot of other juggling that kind of – they took about $65 million away from the Department of Transportation. And 65, that’s a rough number. It’s somewhere there. And they took it away for the next several years. So I’m like, they’re always cutting transportation. And if there’s a priority for state budgets, state government budgets, I believe it is roads and BRIDGES. AND I’M NOT TALKING ABOUT CHARGING FEES. I’M TALKING ABOUT BUILDING ROADS AND MAINTAINING THEM. AND COLORADO IS NOT VERY GOOD AT MAINTAINING OUR ROADS. SO ONE OF THE DEEPEST CUTS THEY TOOK WAS OUT OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. NOW, THERE ARE A COUPLE OF GOOD BILLS. ONE, THEY ESTABLISHED A BILL OR A PROGRAM TO PROVIDE What is it? Meals for all, I think, in public schools. And I thought that was just the wrong direction to assume that our public schools are going to feed our kids now.
SPEAKER 17 :
So that’s not a good bill. That’s a bad bill.
SPEAKER 03 :
No. Right. Right. And so it’s a good bill that repeals at least a portion of that. Oh, OK. And no, because they put that policy in place, I think it was last year or the year before. And they’re ramping it up. And I think what they did is they just said, OK, we’re not going to do it this year. I understand. It was really early when I was looking at these bills.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and I’ve got another anecdotal story. So another anecdotal story. So let’s see. When I was a kid, now we had to pay for our lunches when I was a kid, and I did not like our school lunches. The only lunch I liked was once a month on Fridays they had chili and cinnamon rolls, and I loved that as a kid. But if you didn’t clean up your tray – then you had you couldn’t go to recess yet and they had the most terrible carrots and I took all my carrots and I put them in my milk carton and by gosh Kevin my teacher or whoever the the the person was you know had lunch duty saw me do it and she came over made me pour those out and eat them with not only the carrots and the milk and I’ve never forgotten that
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, it was probably good character building, wasn’t it, though?
SPEAKER 17 :
Explains a lot, doesn’t it? But I was talking with someone yesterday who said that their grandchild is provided meals at school. And she said the meals are terrible. And so they are packing lunches for them. And I know that it’s somewhat convenient for people to not have to pack lunches. But Gosh, of course, in the old days, I’d probably be arrested for what I sent my kids. They had cookies and a candy bar and potato chips and all kinds of stuff like that. But there’s something to be said for taking care of your own children. You know what?
SPEAKER 03 :
Right. Well, I know that when I – actually, when I was a kid, initially, I would walk home for lunch. I did, too. In elementary school. Yeah. I did that, too. So it kind of shows a little bit of our – It was a while ago. Let’s put it that way. But but then in what they call junior high and then high school, I took a lunch. My mom packed me a lunch and it was a rare day that I bought the lunch. But, you know, they didn’t give food away. You know, again, I I can understand that in some low income situations there might be some. charity provided for students. But this attitude that we’re now going to feed all the kids at school, it’s like taking all the focus away from the family and putting it on this socialized institution, which to me is a very bad step in the wrong direction. And so, yeah, they’ve had to pull back a bit with their, we’re going to feed everybody all the time. I think they even do breakfasts
SPEAKER 17 :
I think they do, too. And I’m going to tell one other story since it’s April 1st.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah. And I’m I’m I’m distracting you, but let’s go. That’s OK.
SPEAKER 17 :
So speaking of that. So, yes, I sometimes I would get to go home for lunch and I love that. And so I decided that I would run as fast as I could. So I would time myself from the minute I walked out the door of the school and I would run like crazy. It was probably maybe 12 blocks. and I would run like the wind, Kevin Lundberg, to get home for lunch, and then I would run all the way back to school. I haven’t thought about this for years, but you’re bringing up all these memories.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, good, good. But let’s move on to the realities of today. Okay. Which, again, yeah, lots of bills have been introduced as orbital, and by my memory— 49 bills from the Joint Budget Committee, along with a long bill, is a record. I don’t know. Maybe they’ve done that before. But my experience, I was on JBC for a couple of years, so I kind of got to see it that way. But it was usually a dozen bills, 15. You know, as they’re putting the budgets together, they realize, well, we really need to change this component of the law in order to build the budget the way we want to build it and and so it’s it’s an appropriate procedure at times but then if the jbc is getting in with 50 bills unless they’re all just repeals i’ve got strong concerns that they’re actually meddling and trying to to be the managers of all policy which in a sense they are because the budget is that significant but Yeah, just it was shocking to me to discover how many bills were introduced all at once by the JVC.
SPEAKER 17 :
Wow. And the other thing is, is Tabor, Colorado’s Taxpayers Bill of Rights. That’s probably something we really need to watch out on these bills as well. Yeah. To protect that.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, of course, I didn’t see anything that really brought up a lot of concerns there now, even though. the way they’ve gotten around tabor the biggest way through the years is to create a huge number of fees yeah it’s an enterprise and then they can create fees or um well actually an enterprise is given the authority for bonding authority and that’s the real mischief that we see out of out of that because then they can go borrow money without a vote of the people And they have obligated the state of Colorado through a lot of different ways for literally billions of dollars in the future that we have to pay for through that. But the legislature can just put a fee in place on something and not call it a tax, even though it’s almost always it really qualifies as a tax. But that’s another way. And again, they have obligated billions of dollars to the… the citizens of Colorado without really the taxing authority to do that.

So Kevin Lundberg, this last Saturday down in Colorado Springs, the state GOP Central Committee elected a new chair. And congratulations to Britta Horne, was elected as the new chair. chair and of course now everybody is wondering uh will she i think one of the biggest questions will she support the lawsuit to close the primaries here in colorado so what what’s your thoughts about britta being elected well that was the big question in my mind as well and i was there and uh right after the the vote was announced or reasonably right after the vote was announced
SPEAKER 03 :
I was actually given the opportunity to give a report to the Central Committee on the lawsuit, which we’re moving forward. Depositions have been finished. Let’s see, summary judgments are required. There’s a lot of legalese here by the end of this week. And then the next thing on the docket, essentially, is the trial where the judge actually looks at the facts. You know, we get a decision at that level. It’ll probably be… appealed as well. So anyway, I gave the report and I also gave the, I don’t want to say stern, but kind of a clear indication that I expected the new administration to get behind this and continue on because we’ve been working on this for several years now and we need to stay the course. Anyway.
SPEAKER 17 :
So, and Kevin, let’s just, let’s define, what does get behind mean? What does that look like to you?
SPEAKER 03 :
Because… That means, excellent question, excellent question. And that’s the question I went and directly asked the brand new chairman, or actually she’d become chairman at the end of that meeting. So she had just gotten elected. So I went to Britta personally and said, so where are you with all this? And getting behind means that the party, which is actually the plaintiff in this case, needs to be raising the funds to pay for the legal costs and publicly speaking in support of the lawsuit and really making the case first and foremost. I mean, I’m the chairman of the lawsuit committee that former chairman Dave Williams created a couple of years ago. And so it’s in my ballpark to really focus on this. But to get behind for the party means the chair THE CHAIRMAN NEEDS TO BE THE FIRST NUMBER ONE PUBLIC ADVOCATE FOR IT. AND THEY NEED TO PUT SOME OF THEIR BUDGET IN LINE WITH PAYING FOR SOME OF THESE EXPENSES AND RAISING THE MONEY THROUGH, BECAUSE THERE’S VIRTUALLY EVERY REPUBLICAN THAT I SPEAK OF THAT KNOWS ANYTHING ABOUT THE INTERWORKINGS OF THE PARTY AND HOW THE ELECTION PROCESS HAS BEEN GOING. knows that we need to challenge this because the open primary simply opens the primary to a lot of mischief for people who want to get in and play games with the party they don’t support. If they’re an unaffiliated voter, they get a Democrat and Republican ballot. Of course, we’ve gone through this before. But the party needs to be publicly and financially committed to seeing this through. So that’s what I asked Britta, and she assured me that she was. But we’ll see by what happens.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay, okay. Well, then that is good to know. I can see, because I’ve heard those that have said, well, answer this question for me, that the job of the state party is to get Republicans elected. And I agree, but Republicans who… who believe in limited government and the sanctity of the individual. As I look at legislation, even with some of these legislators down at the statehouse, they are doing things that are playing right into the Democrats’ playbook. This is a conundrum. How would you address that, Kevin?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I would agree with you, very much so, that in order to get Republicans elected, you have to field Republican candidates who stand for Republican principles. And that’s been very, you know, you make a great case. I don’t think you claim the part of the program to be specifically partisan. But when you stand for liberty, you really can’t stand for the other major party too well. And so, yes, in order to accomplish the goal, you need to stand for the principles that that goal is founded upon. which is limited government. It’s the principles of liberty that our nation was, you know, this whole national experiment called the United States of America was put together not to put government in charge, but to put individuals in charge and to do it from a sound moral perspective. Because here’s another element, and that is we have to understand the why we’re there in the first place. And that’s a lot of the problems we have in our culture today. And all of those things have to come together in order to have a good, effective political party that people can rally around. And I can tell you the majority of Colorado citizens really want common sense government that supports liberty in place. It’s just a A lot of games are played, and unfortunately far too many politicians just take the short-sighted view of how can I get my bill passed? Well, maybe I’ve got to play ball with this bad bill. That shouldn’t happen.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay. So speaking of – I think this is a bad bill, and it came – I noticed it. It was Senate Bill 25-201. Not sure if you’ve taken a look at this, but it is concerning requiring certain Internet websites that provide material that is harmful to children to verify the age of individuals who attempt to access such material. So we delved into this yesterday, Kevin, and – There’s one Republican on this, Paul Lundeen, and I’m sure he looked at this and thought, gosh, this is at least a step in the right direction to try to protect our children. I do have a call or a text into him. But there’s three Democrats on it, and I’m scratching my head as I look at all these transgender extremist bills today. Down at the State House, this bill, it says in it, in their whereases, it says that they realize that it says extensive research demonstrated that exposure to pornography at a young age can contribute to adverse public health outcomes, including increased rates of anxiety, depression, distorted perceptions of healthy relationships. But meanwhile, back at the ranch… We’ve got these fights happening out in Elizabeth, Colorado right now. Pornographic books in our school libraries. It’s not matching up. But I noticed at the very end, and I never really understood this, is we see so many bills with the safety clause on it. And if the safety clause is stuck on it, that means that the people of Colorado cannot do a referendum on it. But this doesn’t have the safety clause. And it says here, this act takes effect at 12.01 a.m. on the day following the expiration of the 90-day period after final adjournment of the General Assembly, except that if a referendum petition is filed pursuant to Section 1.3 of Article 5 of the state constitution against this act or item, Section blah, blah, blah, It will not take effect unless approved by the people in a general election. So does that mean if we could take this bill to referendum, what does that entail? And if we take it to referendum, that means it cannot go into law until it’s approved by the people of Colorado. Am I reading that correctly?
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes. Yes, you are. It is a well-established part of Colorado law. Well, let me go back to a fundamental principle of what the legislature is all about. In Article 5 of the Colorado Constitution, the legislature is set up, the legislative branch of Colorado. But the first few paragraphs don’t talk about the legislature, except it does say we’re establishing the House and the Senate and the like. But it goes on to say, but we the people reserve the right to make laws independent of the legislature. And then, as a component of that, it states clearly, and we can review any law that is made, that it makes this little exception, and I’m sure they thought of it as a little exception, unless there’s an immediate threat to the health, peace, and safety of the people. In other words, if a bill is so… so significant in some way that people’s lives will be in danger if they don’t put it in place immediately, then that review of the people can be circumvented. And that’s what grew into what we call the safety clause, which is this little paragraph they put at the end of almost every bill that says, but Because of the health and safety of the people of Colorado, this will take effect immediately. And it circumvents that necessity for them to wait and see if the people do want to put it on the ballot. Now, it’s very difficult to put anything on the ballot. You have to. It’s the same standard as getting an initiative going. So is it? Yeah. Yeah. And you’ve only got 90 days to do it in. after the general session is done. That’s why they identify that specific date in August, which is 90 days beyond when the legislature is supposed to be done. Okay. So now it’s a very high standard and Up until a few years ago, the only time that had been exercised was back in the 30s, the 1930s, concerning some milk bill that people were concerned about. And so it just kind of lay dormant. And then there have been a few serious attempts to put a referendum up, but I don’t think we’ve successfully done it at all, ever. And so… It bothers me that the safety clause is put on so many bills, it should be reserved for why it’s there in the first place, which is not – because the reason they do it is not because they’re afraid that people are going to appeal it. They do it because they want the bill to take effect immediately, and they don’t want to wait the 90 days for the law to become law or for the bill to become law. Mm-hmm. And I was one of those bulldogs down there. That’s how come, you know, they said Lundberg, Lamborn, and Lambert were identical because all of us understood that that’s an abuse of the constitutional powers of the legislature to just put a safety clause everywhere. It should be reserved for what it’s there for. And… And, you know, legislature, when you make a bill, that’s a very significant issue that puts the force of law on every citizen in the state. And it should be done very carefully and very cautiously. And a safety clause kind of throws some of that caution to the wind and simply says, and we want it right now, so we’re going to put it in place right now.
SPEAKER 17 :
Wow. Thanks for that explanation. I did not understand all that. I am still learning so much as president of the Colorado Union of Taxpayers. It is April 1st, April Fool’s, but there’s no joking around on what happened down at the State House regarding Senate Bill 25003, which is basically the firearms magazine ban and basically taking away the right of everyday people, law-abiding citizens. to have firearms to protect ourselves against bad actors. And Senator Kevin Lundberg in his Lundberg report says, this right shall not be questioned. Okay, Kevin, what happened?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I was simply paraphrasing the Colorado Constitution when it comes to the right to own and bear arms, which means Not till you go around with sleeveless shirts. That means that you can have guns, weapons to defend yourself. And that’s why it’s there. It’s not so easy to go deer hunting. Even though I think that’s a pretty good thing and actually a necessary thing in a state like Colorado where if you didn’t hunt deer, you’d be overrun by deer and elk and But the the Colorado Constitution has an equivalent of the Second Amendment, which is in the U.S. Constitution. And, you know, the U.S. Constitution says the right shall not be infringed, which is, you know, a fancy way of saying the government shouldn’t prohibit you or prevent you from being able to defend yourself with firearms. And in the Colorado Constitution, we have a thing called the Bill of Rights that actually has about 50 provisions in it rather than the 10 provisions in the U.S. Constitution. And among that is the article dealing with firearms. And it says, in essence, that right shall not be questioned. It gives one exception, just to fill it all out, where it says, but this doesn’t construe that you have the right to conceal your weapon. And you’ve got to kind of go back in history and discover, you know, figure out that in 1876, when they wrote this, it was the bad guy around the poker table who hid his pistol in his vest. And they didn’t want to say, well, you have a right to do that. because that really wasn’t, it was the good guy who had his gun on his hip, and that’s what they were defending.
SPEAKER 17 :
That is so interesting.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, so Senate Bill 3, I mean, the left, this is just one of about a dozen bills. I mean, I count nine that I think are really bad, but others will count up to 16, 17 bills. that are dealing with firearms in the legislature this year. And essentially what they’re trying to do is they’re trying to carve away as much ability to actually have access to your guns, to buy them, to be able to sell them or manufacture them. And Senate Bill 3 is the big one that, yes, says you can’t buy or sell guns. or manufacture a semi-automatic gun with a magazine. And that’s just about every semi-automatic. You know, there are a few that you load in a different way, and why that’s the dividing line is absurd. But anyway, they amended the bill. and said, oh, no, you can go ahead and buy it, but you have to do all these different things. You have to have this safety course. You have to have this new system with the local sheriff. They just added a ton of requirements to simply be able to purchase a semi-automatic weapon with a magazine. And that is so far removed from what the Colorado Constitution says that, you know, it’s ridiculous. Now, I’m paraphrasing it to say shall not be questioned because they kind of wrote it in a more complex fashion where they said no person, well, I don’t have it memorized, so forgive me for not giving you the exact quote, and I don’t have it right in front of me, but But they were trying to be explicit about this and say, you can’t question the right people have to bear arms. And what Senate Bill 3 does is it turns that right into a government created privilege that you have to pay for because of the costs involved and the time frame and everything else that’s added. They just made it as difficult as possible. And the law-abiding citizen who maybe wants to own that for defense of any circumstance, which might even be the government sometime, doesn’t want the government to be meddling in their business. And part of this is a registration system or the building blocks for a registration system, which is deeply troubling. I don’t want the government to know if I own weapons or not. And I don’t want them to know what they are because I don’t trust them because history has shown that whenever governments step in and start registering and controlling gun ownership, far too often a tyrannical government will then start saying, give it to us because we plan on pointing them at you.

And that is why we are all so concerned regarding Senate Bill 25003. But there’s some other very, very onerous Second Amendment bills that are going through the legislature as well. And because it’s April Fools, I tried to find something funny about some of these bills down at the statehouse. I couldn’t find one that I thought was funny at all. I felt that they were all serious. So I went to Fox News, and they had wasteful and dangerous Doge’s top five most shocking revelations. Number one, this is crazy. Musk reveals there’s an Iron Mountain mine in Pennsylvania where they process federal employee retirements manually. Huh. Okay, that’s number one. Number two? The EPA locates $20 billion in waste, and the Biden administration, Harris administration, actually took $20 billion. They squirreled it away over in some different banks because they’d not designated where that $20 billion would go. They squirreled it away over there, hoping that the new administration would not see it, and then they were going to dole that out immediately. to their friends and family. So you can see the green in the Green New Deal is the green that’s going into PBI’s pockets, politicians, bureaucrats, and interested parties. Number three on this list, again, this is not very funny, but it is kind of crazy, is the Department of Homeland Security is clawing back $59 million, which was going to house illegal immigrants in luxury New York City hotels. Wowza. And you know what? If you paid full fare to be at one of those New York City hotels, maybe they weren’t having other guests there at that time. But could you imagine how you would feel if you were paying top dollar to be at that hotel and then you’re realizing that illegal immigrants are getting to be there for free? You look like you want to weigh in on that, Joe.

Well, what about the people who go to vacation there and go and see the city? Now they’re paying big dollars to make up for the immigrant.
SPEAKER 17 :
Good point. Good point. Next thing, Pentagon wasted thousands of dollars on coffee cups and soap dispensers. So that’s when we say we have to maybe take a look at the Pentagon budget. I think we do have to take a look at the Pentagon budget. And then lastly, the whole USAID thing, the $40 billion, including Sesame Street in Iraq. I don’t, you know, there was a meme out there. It’s like, why are they using our money to give to people that hate us? They should be able to hate us for free. Okay, let’s get over here and talk with John Bozen with Bozen Law. And I find it so crazy that there are protesters that are out there saying we want more waste, fraud and abuse. I find that that’s kind of funny, actually.

I totally… They have been fleecing or stealing from the American people. Just like that $20 billion they’d squirreled away to go to all their friends. And that’s our money and that’s our children’s money because we’re also borrowing. And it’s… They’re fleecing the American people and we’re done with it.

It’s maddening and… April 15th is coming up real quick, and I had to come up with some money, and it just makes it that much more just infuriating.
SPEAKER 17 :
You know what I think I’m going to do is I think I’m going to want to process my particular tax return in a mine up here near maybe Cripple Creek and do that manually. See what they would think about that, right?
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, right. Good idea. I might get into a different place if I did that. So anyway, let’s talk about Bozen Law. you help people when they’re having serious things happen in their lives. And there’s a lot of serious things that can happen. So what are these things that you can help people with?

Well, yeah, and it’s been a little while since we’ve kind of gone through the list. And it’s a big umbrella, personal injury, and things that we do within that area of practice. So motor vehicle collisions, any kind of an accident that involves trucks, cars, boats, jet skis, motorcycles. If it shouldn’t have happened, if it was someone else’s fault that caused the accident, caused injuries and damages to an individual, definitely wheelhouse cases for us. Slip and falls, ice that should have been removed that’s let to stay and hardened for days and then someone slips on it. Trip and falls. It can be anything that shouldn’t have been there, that should have been seen, removed by the property owner, the business. Dog and animal attacks. I’ve brought up we’re seeing more and more of that. Not sure why, but dogs should be on leashes. They shouldn’t be allowed to run in open public areas where they can attack people, attack other dogs, cause injury and harm to folks. Bad pharma, pharmaceutical drugs. We’ve talked about Ozempic and the GLP-1s that are doing a lot of damage and harm to people. Bad or defective products. We’ve been representing folks that were harmed by the talcum powder made by Johnson & Johnson. Roundup. Workers’ compensation claims. Anyone that is working, doing something for their employer, and they get hurt whether it’s uh… can be anything uh… and it’s irregardless of fault but if someone’s working within the course and scope of their employment they get hurt they have the right to pursue and should pursue workers compensation benefits which includes medical care wage loss and if they have a permanent injury they get compensated for that also uh… we also help folks with social security disability claims we pay in Every time we collect a check, a portion of that goes in to Social Security for retirement or for disability. So if someone contracts a disease or gets cancer or suffers injuries that prohibit them from working, they’re entitled to pursue and receive disability benefits. We also do that in the private sector. There’s a lot of insurance companies that offer disability insurance coverage. So in addition to Social Security disability, someone, if they’ve got private insurance, can apply for and seek disability benefits through the private insurance they have. All of these things we handle. All of these things, it’s important if someone has a situation or a loved one or a friend or neighbor or coworker has a situation, that they put them in touch with us as soon as possible. Time is always of the essence. And the sooner we can get on the phone, we can advise somebody, counsel them, the better off they’re going to be.

Thank you. Yeah, I was also on the Weather Channel. It’s been one of those. It’s been busy, busy, but that’s a good thing. Yeah, so there’s a lot going on with these tariffs, and I just want people to know the facts. All the mainstream media, and I keep calling out the truth, are all like, oh, cars are going to raise by 25%. That is far from the truth, and it’s really important to know how the tariffs actually affect you. So if you’re in the market for a car, And this is starting tomorrow, so today shouldn’t make a difference. Anything on the lot today, there should be no impact. Any dealer in your area, wherever you may be, wherever you’re listening to this, and they’re trying to tack a price on calling it a tariff increase or a price increase, you need to avoid that dealer. Any dealer is doing dishonest increases in prices because we don’t know what the exact details are of this tariff for those cars built outside the U.S., until the second so i guess it’s going to be a rose garden it might be today but we’re waiting for them to do that in the meantime here’s how this is going to affect you based on what is in this regulation uh vehicles that are assembled in the united states or in canada that are what they call usmca it’s u.s mexico and canada they have an agreement and they’re compliant We’ll have no tariffs. That would mean that the bulk of the components are North American and the cars either assembled in Canada, Mexico or U.S. So a lot of cars are going to be exempt from all this. It won’t impact them at all. U.S. assembled vehicles with critical components like engines and transmissions that are from Germany, China, Japan, which many of them are. They used to be built here. They’re no longer. They will get a 25 percent tariff on those parts only. So if you’re looking at a $20,000 car and the engine comes elsewhere, it’s not going to be $10,000. So keep that in mind when you’re looking at the numbers. And how do you know? Every single window sticker, which is called a Monroney, because there was a senator with that name who put this rule through, has a list of where the bulk of the components are made. It’ll say U.S. or Canada or Germany or Hungary or Mexico or wherever. Wherever it might be, the percentages there also tells you where it’s assembled. It’s right there on the window sticker. It’s a law. It has to be there. And then other things to note is that vehicles that are assembled in Canada that would incur the 25% tariff would be if their non-U.S. components are more than 50%. So more than 50% of those parts, again, you’ve got to look at that window sticker. You can do the research. It’s online. It’s pretty easy to find. 50% U.S. content. Otherwise, it’s taxed, 25%. And vehicles fully assembled outside of North America, like a Ferrari, a Porsche 911, some special AMG Mercedes, those are going to be full 25% tariff. But you have to keep that in mind. That doesn’t mean that prices are going up 25%. Ferrari said they’re going to raise their prices by 10%. Porsche said they’re going to raise their prices by 7%. Do you think that’s going to impact their sales? No. Because their buyers don’t care. 10% of a million-dollar car, to those people who make that car $1.1 million, it’s not going to impact that buyer. When you’re talking about something normal that everybody drives every day, a Mazda product, for example, that’s not made here or that is a bulk of the components or elsewhere, you might see a $3,000 increase in price. So the calculation is very odd. There will be people that will try to skirt the tariffs completely by either absorbing part of it or not. But as President Trump has said, and this will be in a story coming out tonight at 615 Eastern on my Car Coach Reports channel, it’s important to note that the goal is to keep the cars built here in North America, no price increase. And if they follow the rules, they should have no problem. If they were trying to skirt the rules, much like maybe the Stellantis product was doing and the Nissan products, well, those companies are going to get nailed with a full 25%. So there used to be something, and this is kind of good for reference, many years ago, there was something called the chicken tax. And what they would do, and it’s still in place actually today. European countries were importing our chicken to give to their people for food, and they were charging a 25% tariff. So we countered them saying, all right, any trucks you bring into the U.S. is a 25% tariff. There was a lot back then. This is like early 1900s. So what they’ve been doing ever since, and I’ve been to the factory that does it, they’ll build a car in a final assembly in Germany, take the wheels off, the seat valves, the dashboard off, a bunch of components, and then ship it on one pallet. That pallet would arrive around somewhere in the Carolinas. It would then be transferred to South Carolina production plant, and they would reassemble the vehicle and then sell them to avoid the chicken tax. They’re not going to let them do that this time. And they’re going to be policing it, they claim. So that’s the bottom line.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay. So first of all, Lauren, there are those that are reading, I think, mainstream headlines and saying this is going to decimate the car market here, the auto market here in America. And so super, super concerned about it. But I think something that people don’t realize is many of these other countries have been charging tariffs on our goods going into their countries, right? Yes.
SPEAKER 20 :
Absolutely. And we’ve been getting ripped off. So what happens is we ship product from the U.S., whether it be liquor cars, whatever it might be, to other countries, and they charge high tariffs. For example, if you were to ship a car to China or to Japan, you don’t see a lot of American cars there. Ford does build in Europe, but you don’t see any GM cars around Europe at all, and most of the Asian countries as well. And the reason for that is because the tariffs are so high, consumers can’t afford it. So what we’ve done is we’ve put 100% tariff on Chinese vehicles coming in. So if BYD, which makes some pretty cool cars, I’ve driven many of them, decides they want to sell here in the United States, the tariff’s 100%, and that would double the price. So that would definitely make them not sell Chinese cars here. We want jobs here. If you get a car from China that’s built in China, it doesn’t help us at all. There’s not even a dealership. They’ll just sell them online like you’re buying something on Amazon.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay, so yesterday one of our listeners said, gosh, I wish that instead of tariffs to bring manufacturing back, that he would reduce taxes, rules, and regulations. And then I also think unions have increased the cost significantly of employees, of manufacturing, of labor. So what would you say to that, Lauren?
SPEAKER 20 :
All right, so you’re going a slightly different road here. So there is something going along that route. The Transportation Freedom Act was put up by Senator Bernie Marino out of Ohio, and that would allow us to, any cars that are built in the U.S., you wouldn’t have any interest on your payment for your loan. So that would be deductible auto loan interest is what they’re calling it, on American-made cars. So that would help. And also, I don’t know if people know this, but we’re only 65% capacity on our current plants. And there’s one General Motors plant that’s only at 40%. So if you’ve got a plant and you’re a U.S.-based company, and that includes Tesla. So you’ve got Tesla, GM, and Ford. Stellantis is not a U.S.-based company anymore. They’re based out of Belgium. When you’re looking at that and you say, well, wait a minute, I can bring cars here, they’re built here, and we have capacity in the plant, let’s do that. And they’re claiming they’re going to fast-track these permits, which means jobs. And the UAW, who was totally against President Trump during the election, is now a huge fan. Sean Fain is saying, oh, this is great. This is more jobs, more union people. Of course, you can’t guarantee that because if it’s in the southeast of the country, there’s no way those are going to be union plants. Those will be non-union plants. But either way, it’s jobs. And that’s how he sees it, and he’s right. Because otherwise, their union membership has been dropping off, and they need to build back up their coffers and the money so they can live high on the hog. That’s a whole other conversation. But this would allow that to happen by bringing production back here. And it can be done. We shipped everything overseas underneath the Obama administration because he made it more difficult to produce product here. He taxed us. He made it more difficult. So every brand said, well, to heck with it. We’ll just build our Cleveland-based engines that used to be here. We’ll build them in Mexico. We’ll build them in China. We’ll build them in Thailand. And that’s why you have so much product here that comes from other countries.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and the American consumer… liked the fact that they were able to get the product that they wanted for a lesser price. But Obama knew what he was doing on this, right? I mean, he was really decimating American manufacturing on this, yes?
SPEAKER 20 :
That was his goal, was to decimate manufacturers. Remember when President Trump took office, he said, I’m going to bring manufacturing back. And Obama said to him, good luck with that. That’ll never happen. Wrong, because President Trump knows how to do things like a businessman. That’s the difference.
SPEAKER 17 :

She said, Trump said that Sean Fine, who is the president of the United Auto Workers, so Trump said that Sean Fine just put 60,000 auto workers out of a job by holding out for $80 per hour wages. So $80 per hour wages, you have all of the other payroll taxes on top of it. That’s a lot of money. So what’s the story on that, Lauren Fix?
SPEAKER 20 :
I don’t have too many details on that, but any time you ask for more than reasonable, I don’t get paid $80 an hour. I would like that. Most people don’t get that kind of money. I’m not saying they don’t deserve it because I don’t know exactly which jobs he’s talking about specifically. But any time you price it high, all you’re doing is hurting the company, and that means they just – had less people. That’s why they end up moving many of these companies to Japan, Mexico, Canada, wherever it might be, because when you make it unaffordable, you either do one of two things. And here’s a perfect example. Stellantis, they were building Jeeps in Belvedere, Illinois. They were the first, the first one to have a fight with the UAW, and they made them be on strike for a long time. It hurts the workers. There is some money aside for them, but they’re not getting full pay, and that’s because of their membership and their union dues. So as soon as that was over with, And President Trump came into office. They said, we’re moving our plant to Mexico. And they shuttered the plant. And so 1,500 people went out of business. This may be specifically, because I haven’t seen that story. It’s possible that specifically the Belvedere plant. So they said, fine, we’re moving it to Mexico. It’s easy. We’ll move the tooling. We’ve got empty space down there. It’s cheaper. There’s no unions. And those people down there will work for a fraction of the price. because there’s no Social Security, no disability, no compensation, you know, no matching of Social Security funds from the company and no benefits. So it’s definitely going to save the company money. So President Trump said to them, listen, bring it back to Belvedere and we’ll make it worth your while. So that’s where they have to kind of work in order to avoid this tariff and, of course, also to keep the jobs here. But Sean Fain, who is the president of UAW, may not be their best leader. He might be a heavy-handed negotiator, but you have to win for all parties. It’s not just for the people you’re negotiating against, but it’s also for those people that actually do the work.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, so let’s say you get $80 an hour, but you have no job. So what, right?
SPEAKER 20 :
Exactly. And that’s the problem. And that’s exactly what President Obama did when he was in office. He pushed everybody out. He wanted everyone to have higher wages, very much the Bernie Sanders mindset of make it so that we don’t build anything here. But that also affects our national security when you do that, because way back in World War II, we built planes and tanks and Jeeps here. And then we shipped them to wherever we needed them. And that was good for our economy. If they were built elsewhere, then those countries own us. And it makes us weaker.
SPEAKER 17 :
That’s what this is all about. That is what it’s all about, and Obama knew what he was doing on that. Let’s shift gears, no pun intended. To get over here to your substack, I watched the piece that you’d done regarding tariffs, and I think in it you said that on the whole tariffs thing that Hyundai might be a real winner. So explain that.
SPEAKER 20 :
Well, they were really smart. Just before President Trump was going to announce the impact of these tariffs— I actually know a couple of the people, but a couple of the leaders over at Hyundai, including Jose Munez, who’s the president, who’s super smart, and Jay Chang, who’s the CEO, and the chairman at the top, I can’t even get his name off the top of my head, they came to Washington and said, we’re going to bring $31 billion worth of plants here. That’s jobs. They own their own steel plant already, and that’s how Kia and Hyundai are able to build value-based cars, as well as Genesis. but now they’re going to put a plant up in louisiana that’s great for jobs in louisiana and we really need that so talking about 1500 jobs there and then they’re talking about expanding on the plant that’s in west point georgia and the one that’s in birmingham alabama i’ve been to all the plants And I can tell you it’s pretty impressive. Now, yes, there’s a lot of computerization and robots doing work, but they still need people to actually do a lot of this work. And there’s still a lot of hand assembly done, especially small details where you really need a person to do it. So this is big, huge investment. Why is that so smart? Well, they’re going to build cars here. And what does that mean? they’re not going to have to pay the tariff. And they are one of the smartest manufacturers by getting in front of this. That also includes Kia, by the way, because Hyundai Corporation is Kia, Hyundai, and Genesis. So all three of those brands will be in a much better position than a lot of the other brands.
SPEAKER 17 :
Lauren Fix, I love all this, bringing manufacturing back to America and putting American workers first. I love all that. There is part of me, though, what does this do to these other countries as they’re losing this manufacturing? What do you say to that?
SPEAKER 20 :
One of two things is going to happen. Either the other countries are going to say, you know what? we’re going to drop our tariff on American goods. Well, then Trump will do the same thing. He’ll drop the tariff. And then we have free trade. But we really don’t have free trade because if they’re charging us a higher tariff than we’re charging them, it’s only helping them. It’s not helping us. And the goal is that if you want to sell in the United States, the number one market in the world, then you’re going to have to pay a tariff to come in. That doesn’t mean he’s going to drop it to zero, but it’s certainly going to be dropped to a much lower number.
SPEAKER 17 :
And I think you mentioned in your video here that – and is it possible to get rid of the income tax through tariffs? And I think you addressed that to some degree.
SPEAKER 20 :
It is possible. And I think that’s one of the things that a lot of people don’t realize that if – you would like to get rid of the tariffs, how do you do that? Well, the only way to do, I mean, I’m sorry, get rid of your federal taxes, which would be really nice because I just got my tax bill and it’s not nice. The only way to do that is you have to offset that. One is to get rid of waste in government. And that’s what Doge is doing. He’s going through every single department. They found tons of fraud, you know, like shrimp on treadmills and how long it takes ketchup to come out of containers and all the silliness that you see. Plus a lot of WASTED MONEY, GIVING MONEY TO OTHER COUNTRIES FOR NO REASON WHATSOEVER, BUT WE DON’T KNOW IF IT ACTUALLY ENDS UP THERE, ENDS UP IN SOMEONE’S POCKET. AGAIN, WE’RE GOING TO FIND THAT OUT VERY SOON AS IT STARTS TO UNFOLD. IT’S VERY INTERESTING TO WATCH, AND YOU CAN GO TO THE DOGE WEBSITE. THAT’S NUMBER ONE. SO NOW IF YOU CUT YOUR SPENDING, then you’re going to have more money available. So that’s good. But if you can take on the rest of that with tariffs, then that means you can have no federal taxes, which is what we had in 1913 prior to them deciding we’re just going to tax for all the damages from World War I. And then, boom, they came back with, well, we’re going to make it more. We’re only going to tax the wealthy. Now we’re going to only tax some people. Now we’re taxing everybody. And that’s how that happens.
SPEAKER 17 :
So this will help everyday hardworking people, which I think as we look back now on this waste, fraud, and abuse and all this spending, is they have been fleecing the hardworking people of America.
SPEAKER 20 :
Yes, absolutely. This has been going on for a long time. But giving money to people who aren’t from this country who strolled across the border it’s a whole nother conversation for a different expert um and also you know giving money away we don’t have is absurd and this is something that that needs to be addressed and it’s amazing that no other official has said anything about it it’s like they’re all in on it they’re all getting something it feels like to me I don’t know. I have no proof of that. I’m just speculating. But it’s interesting. It’s like if you’ve got all this money, and it’s our tax dollars. Don’t let anyone kid you. I posted something and someone goes, it’s not your tax dollars, it’s what the government has. No, it’s your tax dollars. Whether you pay taxes to your state, taxes to the federal government, taxes for the things that you purchase, that money is your money that you’re giving to the government that’s supposed to be used for roads and bridges and schools and police departments, fire departments, libraries, all the things that we all want. It’s not meant to be given to people that shouldn’t be getting it or to countries that shouldn’t be getting it.
SPEAKER 17 :
Right. And we should not be paying people to hate us. As somebody said, they can hate us for free. We don’t need to be paying them to do that.
SPEAKER 09 :
Exactly.
SPEAKER 17 :
Exactly. We’re just at such a historical time in our country, Lauren Fix. And thank you for this great information regarding tariffs, because this has certainly been on everybody’s mind. The mainstream media is trying to scare people. And I think that’s my last question before we go to break. And that is, is all of this. Trump came in so fast, fast and furious that I think that radical activists, extremists didn’t know what hit them. But now they are getting organized. You see these protests, probably paid protesters out there saying we want more waste, fraud and abuse. And Bernie Sanders, an 80 year old white guy, is now there carrying the mantle on this. I know.
SPEAKER 20 :
I’m sorry. This is too funny.
SPEAKER 17 :
It’s crazy. So how do you think this – and we have the activist judges that have said, hey, you’ve got to turn those planes around and bring back those gang members back to America.
SPEAKER 20 :
I don’t think they did, by the way.
SPEAKER 17 :
No, they didn’t. They didn’t. They didn’t. But so what do you think is going to happen? We’re coming into a really interesting time right now as the veil is coming off on all this.
SPEAKER 20 :
Yeah, there’s a lot going on. I will tell you that I did monitor a bunch of the protests online when 12 noon hit. Those people walked away like someone shut off a light switch so they were getting paid. You were paid to be there from, what, 9 to 12? You get paid $200. You can go on a Craigslist. You can see the listings. You can go to a lot of the different sites. And all they do is stand there with pre-printed signs, which is really scary. Many people went and started talking to them. The statements from these protesters at these Tesla dealers are completely off-base. And they gave them chance to say and things to do, a die-in or whatever. What’s interesting about all of that is these people are getting paid $200 to be there from 9 to 12. Their statements are like, oh, Elon Musk gave President Trump $250 billion. Really? He said he gave him everything he’s worth? THE STATEMENTS ARE ABSURD. HE’S STEALING OUR MONEY. HE’S NOT STEALING YOUR MONEY. HE’S LOOKING AT OUR PERSONAL STUFF. DON’T WORRY, THEY’VE ALREADY RELEASED ALL THAT DATA TO EVERYBODY. MULTIPLE TIMES WE’VE BEEN HACKED BY OTHER COUNTRIES. SO THAT DATA IS LIKE EVERYWHERE. THE STATEMENTS COMING FROM THESE PEOPLE ARE ONLY WHAT THEY’VE READ. AND IF YOU ASK THEM REAL QUESTIONS, THEY EITHER GET FRUSTRATED AND DON’T WANT TO TALK or the worst part of it is they’re completely clueless to it. I didn’t know there was a judge that said, I don’t believe it. Okay, fine. But you believe that the government is honest? Government is always honest. They’re not taking our money and using it for the wrong purposes. I’m like, wow. If you’re that disconnected and you’re just taking the money, you’ll never be able to figure that out, and you’re never going to convince everybody that some people are completely clueless.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, I think it’s a small percentage. And as we are shedding more and more light on all of this, I feel encouraged. I know it’s tough. It’s going to be messy. But I think we’re going to reclaim America here. Lauren Fix, thanks for making the time on this regarding all these tariffs. I really appreciate it. It was close, yeah. Close very close. Yeah, it’s just the director of legislation. So that’s a lot easier.
SPEAKER 17 :
I think Well, I thank you for all that you’re doing and you texted me yesterday afternoon very concerned about a couple of bills and So let us know why this is on your radar. What should people know?
SPEAKER 21 :
Oh Yeah, so there’s a bill that they were just we just got word of them on Sunday so they dropped them over the weekend and And, you know, you can tell when the legislature has an agenda when they introduce the bill and then it gets a hearing right away. And these are one of those bills, two of them. The one that was introduced and is actually scheduled for committee this afternoon is House Bill 25-1213. And this bill really, you know, Kim, the legislation that I follow is regarding queer activism, gender ideology, those kind of things. and targeting children. And this is probably the worst bill that I have ever seen from a standpoint of where queer activists, and I call them queer Marxism because this stuff is Marxism 2.0, are trying to go. So this is introduced. One of those crime sponsors is Lorena Garcia, and they have introduced this bill that is an egregious violation of both the 14th Amendment and also the First Amendment. So that’s why I say that this one is bad. It is a transgender bill of rights is what they’re calling it. The other bill that they have introduced is one that- And verify that number for me again, that House bill number.

SPEAKER 21 :
1312, okay. Okay, got it. There’s another bill that they’ve introduced, and it codifies the right to gender-affirming care. And when we talk about gender-affirming care, a lot of people probably don’t understand this, but this is where we’re giving Lupron, a puberty blocker, which is used off-label to children to block puberty. It’s not a pause. You only go through puberty once. If you don’t go through it, you don’t go through it ever again. And it has a long list of side effects and complications, cross-sex hormones that they’re giving to people and the surgeries that they’re doing, double mastectomies for girls and removing healthy body parts. It’s just quite frankly, sterilization and mutilation. And the people that are supporting this are people that are in big pharma and the medical industry and the insurance, medical insurance industry, and when you realize how many contributions they have given to Bernie Sanders, it’s easy to understand why Bernie Sanders supports medicine for all and also queer rights.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay, and so is that 1309? Is that that one? That is 1309, yep. OK, so both of these, you said, are late breaking scheduled for hearing. And so they’re going to they they introduce them late and then they’re trying to fast track them through kind of under the radar, would you say?
SPEAKER 21 :
I would say under the radar late at night. I would not be surprised if you see 1312 go through committee today for a second and third readings by the end of the week introduced into the Senate early next week and passed by the end of next week.
SPEAKER 17 :
Boy, Rich, it seems like Colorado is ground zero for all of this transgender activism on our children. And here we have President Trump that’s done an executive order to define that boys are boys, girls are girls, and to try to push back on that. But here at the Colorado legislature, it’s more than doubling down on all this.
SPEAKER 21 :
It really is. And here’s where it gets really frightening with the bill that’s being heard today. This will make it so that if you do not affirm your child’s gender identity and expression, it will be considered a form of child abuse and lays the groundwork for the state to come in and remove child from the home and remove that child from the parental custody. The other thing that which we already know. In case law at the United States Supreme Court, parents have the right to raise their children as they see fit. So this is a violation of the 14th Amendment. The other thing that it does is it compels speech and it compels dress. It tells schools, even charter schools, how students should be allowed to dress. And it compels speech because it makes misgendering and deadnaming somebody a hate crime in Colorado. So misgendering and dead naming someone would carry more penalty under law than raping a child.
SPEAKER 17 :
This is crazy. This is absolutely crazy. So the two bill numbers, House Bill 251312 and House Bill 251309. And so let’s just think about this. We’ve seen this indoctrination of our children in school. And kids are impressionable. The activists know that. So if a kid… During that, and puberty is such a difficult time for kids. They’re trying to figure out what’s happening with their body, what’s going on. So, again, these activists understand that. They’re swooping in saying, oh, maybe you’re born in the wrong body. And what you’re saying is if the parents don’t affirm this, that ultimately social services might be able to take their child from them. Am I hearing that right?
SPEAKER 21 :
That’s exactly what this bill does. That is exactly what it does. And so, you know, I think parents have to understand if you don’t show up to the state capitol to fight for your child, you’re going to have to show up to a courtroom to fight for your child.
SPEAKER 17 :
OK, so what can people do to help you? And first of all, thank you for shedding light on this and getting more information. How can people follow you? Let’s get through all those details, Rich.
SPEAKER 21 :
Sure. You can follow me personally. I’m 5, 2, 8, 0, 52, 80 based homo on X. You can follow us at against groomers, gays against groomers of online, um, all the socials. So you can follow us there. We’re getting the word out. The other thing that is so important is you can sign up to testify online. There’s a whole sub stack that we’ve posted on that choke goes step-by-step on how to sign up to testify on this. And if you can’t, I will say the people, if you have time to write a social media post, you have time to write an email to the state representatives. And so, again, it’s 1312. That’s the bill number that you want to send your thoughts on. If you value having the right to raise your children as you see fit without the state forcing you to do it how they want you to do it, and you value the First Amendment and the freedom of speech and the freedom of expression to dress how you see fit and dress your children how you see fit, you need to testify against these bills because this is Marxism, and it is taking root right here in Colorado, and we have to do everything we can to eradicate it.
SPEAKER 17 :
OK, so a couple of things. Let’s just on this House Bill 25, 13, 12. There are four prime sponsors on this. Let’s name them. Representative Lorena Garcia, Democrat. Representative Rebecca Stewart, Democrat. Senator Faith Winter, Democrat. And Senator Chris Kolker, Democrat. And so I think it’s important that we know those names. And then over here on this 1309 list. Whoops, hold on here. I hit the wrong spot here. General Assembly. You probably have it in front of you. I don’t have it. Everything’s slow on that. So who’s the sponsors on that? Do you have that at your fingertips, Rich?
SPEAKER 21 :

SPEAKER 17 :
I did the same thing here, so I thought I had it, and just not enough tabs here. I think I’m getting it, because I think it’s important that people know who is the prime sponsors on this. I got it right here. No, I don’t. It’s going to Capital Watch instead of what I wanted here, so that’s weird.
SPEAKER 21 :
Okay. Kyle Brown, Brianna, Brian Tatone, Lisa Cutter and Julie Gonzalez. And just so people are aware, for those who don’t know, I have the federal lawsuit in the 10th Circuit Court right now against. Julie Gonzalez and Lorena Garcia because they’re the two that gabbled me out of committee, the Judiciary Committee, last year because I refused to refer to a man as a woman and I refused to use his preferred name and pronouns. They considered that disrespectful and they silenced me and they’re not going to compel my speech. But they’re at it again. And so they’ve got to understand that at some point in time, people’s speech, if you don’t defend your freedom and your liberties, you will lose them. And this is where we have to battle what is going on at the state capitol.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and Rich, you have become just a real warrior on this. And I don’t think we’ve got about a minute left. I don’t think maybe two years ago you would have even thought that this was the position that you would be in.
SPEAKER 21 :
No, and it’s not anything I ever ask. I didn’t really interview or apply for this type of work. It just happened. So but it is important because at the end of the day, our constitutional freedoms and liberties are we have to protect them and we have to protect our children and their their freedom and their liberties because they cannot consent to this type of stuff.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yes, we do. And that is our duty, that we will protect our children. So I appreciate all that you’re doing. And again, how can people find you? And you probably need a little bit of help on this lawsuit from a financial standpoint, yes?
SPEAKER 21 :
Oh, we have a great Institute for Free Speech is representing us. We’ve got some great representation, but do support them because they are a nonprofit. And I really appreciate all that they’ve done. I also really appreciate all of the support. People don’t realize how much time and money it takes to be engaged in this kind of stuff. So you can go to Gays Against Groomers website.
