And thank you to all of you who support us. We’re an independent voice on an independent station, searching for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. Something’s a good idea. You should not have to force people to do it. And it’s not compassionate nor altruistic to take other people’s stuff. And that could be their rights, their property, freedom, livelihood, opportunity, childhoods, their lives via force. Force can be a weapon, but we see it with policy and unpredictable and excessive taxation. Fear, coercion, government-induced inflation, the agenda by the World Economic Forum and globalist elites that plays out through the United Nations, this Colorado state legislature, this governor, and then they use all kinds of land use codes and regulations and zoning. All of those things can take away your property rights, and property rights are inherent within the American idea. Remember, if something is a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. And let’s see, let’s get over here. Thank you to Ginny for our word of the day. And it’s machination, and it could be the act of scheming or plotting. It could be a complicated or secret plan to get power or control or to gain an advantage. And they use this as a sentence. Despite a commitment to a more open government, the public is still being kept in the dark about the inner machinations of the cabinet. So that could be also called a crafty scream or cunning design for the accomplishment of a sinister end. And so your challenge is to use the word machination in a sentence today. Our quote of the day comes from the Medal of Honor quote book. from the Center for American Values. And the center is located in Pueblo on the beautiful Riverwalk. They’re non-political, they’re non-partisan. They are focused just on these foundational principles of honor, integrity, and patriotism. and they have beautiful portraits of valor of over 160 of our Medal of Honor recipients. And today’s story comes from Robert M. Patterson, born 1948. These are actions that were taken May 6th of 1968, so he was 20 or 21. And the citation is this. It says, “‘For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity “‘and action at the risk of his life “‘above and beyond the call of duty.’ Sergeant Patterson, then Specialist Fourth Class, distinguished himself while serving as a fire team leader of the 3rd Platoon, Troop B, during an assault upon a North Vietnamese Army Battalion, which was entrenched in a heavily fortified position. When the leading squad of the 3rd Platoon was pinned down by heavy interlocking automatic weapons and rocket-propelled grenade fire from two enemy bunkers, Sergeant Patterson and members of his assault team moved forward under a hail of enemy fire to destroy the bunkers with grenade and machine gun fire. observing that his comrades were being fired on from a third enemy bunker covered by enemy gunners in one-man spider holes. Sergeant Patterson, with complete disregard for his safety and ignoring the warnings of his comrades that he was moving into a bunker complex, assaulted and destroyed the position. Although exposed to intensive small arms and grenade fire from the bunkers and their mutually supporting emplacements, Sergeant Patterson continued his assault upon the bunkers which were impeding the advance of his unit. Sergeant Patterson single-handedly destroyed the rifle and grenade fire and a grenade fire five enemy bunkers and killed eight enemy soldiers and captured seven weapons. His dauntless courage and heroism inspired his platoon to resume the attack and to penetrate the enemy defensive position. Sergeant Patterson’s action at the risk of his life has reflected great credit upon himself and his unit and the U.S. Army. And he said this, he said, your integrity is the most valuable asset you have. Never jeopardize that. And again, that is Robert M. Patterson, United States Medal of Honor recipient, born 1948. Uh, let’s say, uh, getting over here to, um, well, some of the other things that we, we normally talk about. First of all, thank you to the Harris family for their goal sponsorship of the show and, uh, really do appreciate them. And then also, uh, did reach out to, um, Hooters restaurants. They’ve been great sponsors of the shows, uh, for many years. And, uh, some of the corporate, uh, Hooters restaurants are closing. However, the franchisees owners of, um, are our sponsors, Hooters restaurants, uh, has said that they are working hard to continue to provide product and services for their clients. So be sure and give them some of your business. They have great specials Monday through Friday for lunch and for happy hour. And they have five locations. That’s Loveland, Aurora, Lone Tree, Westminster, and Colorado Springs. and a couple of things in history that i wanted to mention first of all on june 4th 1942 through june 7 1942 was the battle of midway and there was only one medal of honor that was awarded for that particular battle but that was really an important battle early on in World War II, and a lot of heroism within that. And we were able to take out several of the Japanese aircraft carriers, which was really a huge thing for us. And so our It was a big battle. It was June 4th is when it began. And this is from WarriorMaven.com. It says the only man to receive the Medal of Honor for actions during the Battle of Midway was Marine Captain Richard E. Fleming. Fleming was assigned to Marine Scout Bomber Squadron 241, also known as the Sons of Satan. The squadron was equipped with 16 Douglas SBD-2 Dauntless and 11 Vought SB2U-3 Vindicator dive bombers. And it says on June 4th, the squadron took part in attacks on Japanese carriers, losing a number of planes. During the initial attacks, Fleming dove dangerously low in order to get a better angle of attack on the ships. The next day, Fleming led an attack on a pair of Japanese cruisers that were damaged in a collision caused by the submarine USS Tambor. During this attack, Fleming… Dove closing in on the enemy ship and says a vote SB2U Vindicator takes off during the Battle of Midway. Fleming was in a Vindicator when he was killed in action during a strike on the Macuma. And then also the D-Day. The Overlord operations began today, June 6, 1944. And there were, let’s see here, there were 10 of our soldiers that were awarded the Medal of Honor for their actions on that day. And they were Carlton Barrett, Robert Cole, Arthur DeFranco, CHARLES D. GLOPPER, WALTER D. ELLERS, JOE GANDARA, JIMMY MONTEETH, FRANK PERGORI, JOHN J. PINDER, JR., AND THEODORE ROSEVELT, JR. AND THEY ALL RECEIVED THE MEDAL OF HONOR FOR ACTIONS THAT WERE TAKEN DURING THE D-DAY OPERATIONS. Next thing, Lauren Fix had sent this over to me. And I know that we’re all watching this thing between Elon Musk and Donald Trump with a lot of interest and can’t quite figure out exactly what’s going on. But this is what Lauren Fix had to say. And you can find this at her sub stack with Car Coach Reports. She said this, she said, this isn’t a fight, it’s a performance. While the media churns out headlines about Elon Musk and Donald Trump clashing, I’m here to argue that this so-called feud might be the most calculated act of the year. She said, with Tesla losing ground and Trump chasing independence, both men have plenty to gain by pretending to be at odds. Let’s unpack the political corporate theater that nobody wants to call out. She said, the setup. Elon Musk calls out Trump. Trump fires back, slinging insults. The internet erupts. And then Elon flips on Trump, and Trump humiliates Musk. But what if this drama is staged? And I was thinking about this before she sent this over yesterday, is what if this is staged? And she goes on to say that Tesla struggles. Their sales have dipped since 2024. And so Chinese brands like BYD are dominating the global EV market, and Tesla’s slash prices and profit margins suffered. She says, what’s in it for Trump? Trump’s goal is to energize his base while appealing to independence. By taking on tech billionaire like Musk, he projects populist strength standing up to the elite. Plus, some of his supporters distrust Musk, seeing Tesla as too cozy with China or EVs as part of the woke agenda. So she goes on to say that Elon is the marketing maestro. He’s not a politician. He’s a marketing genius. And a single tweet from him can move markets, spike crypto prices, or dominate news cycles. When Tesla’s struggling, a public spat with Trump is a goldmine because it grabs attention. distracts from bad press, and repositions his brand. It says, then there’s X, Musk’s social media platform. It’s become a hub for right-leaning voices, causing advertisers and progressives to flee. So for X to scale and monetize, it needs a broader appeal. Then she asks, are they secretly working together? She said, if this feud were real, wouldn’t it get uglier? Musk could ban Trump from X. Trump could unleash a barrage on truth social. And then her last question is, are we being played? Says, while you’re picking sides in this billionaire beef, both Musk and Trump are winning. Musk regains attention and market favor, and Trump looks like a populist hero. She said, this isn’t a fight. It’s a business strategy. She says, they don’t hate each other. They’re using each other. And she says, the bigger picture, when it’s revealed that Musk and Trump were never truly at odds, perhaps even collaborating to push a larger agenda like passing a major bill, don’t expect the doomsdayers to admit that they were fooled. This is a playbook that Trump has used before, create chaos, control the narrative, and come out on top. She says, so the next time you see Musk and Trump trading barbs online, ask yourself, who’s really winning? She says, spoiler alert, it’s not us. And… And so that’s, and I have a lot of, LearnFix has a lot of insight into what’s going on. And so we’ll continue the discussion on the headlines that are happening out there. And all this happens because of our sponsors. And the Roger Mays State Farm Insurance Team understands there are unknowns and life that can keep you up at night. And coming in on the text line regarding this Elon Musk, Donald Trump feud, this came in from Richard. He said the big bill strips out subsidies for EVs. This affects nobody more than Tesla. And he says, personally, I’ve hated EV subsidies from day one. I totally agree with him. I actually have been thinking, and he said, as a famous philosopher says, if something’s a good idea, you shouldn’t have to pay people to do it. And he’s paraphrasing. That is totally true. And I’ve been thinking a lot about our state and our country. And just really these government grants and the grift that comes with it. And we just need to get rid of all of that. And it’s been taking money out of everyday people’s pockets, out of our children’s future, and putting it in the pockets of special interests. And we’ve got to stop doing that. And we can’t look to just one leader. to make this happen. We’ve got to dig deep down in ourselves, be informed on what’s going on. And we’ve got to be communicating with our friends and our family and our colleagues to talk about freedom, as Brad Beck talked about yesterday. This is from Karen. She said, I agree with Lauren Fix that it’s political theater. She said, I saw a theory on Twitter that the left is now backing Elon and cheering him on for the budget cuts, which I like those budget cuts as well, and demanding the Epstein list and want him to win this battle because they hate Trump so much. And Karen, thank you for texting that in as well. So stay tuned on this, but we’ve got to work to get government back in its proper role. So I wanted to mention the Supreme Court is coming out with decisions now. And yesterday they came out with decisions on several different things. And this is from Deseret News. It says that says on a big decision day, the Supreme Court sent a message about unity and these decisions will be announced. I think it’s going to be each Thursday. And And so the first one, and I find this interesting, reverse discrimination. And I like the idea that we’re talking about reverse discrimination, but I think that these discrimination laws, this is going to be probably… something that trial attorneys are going to like a lot. But it says in Ames versus Ohio Department of Youth Services, the court was considering whether members of a majority group such as straight white males should have to meet a higher burden of proof in order to make an employment discrimination claim. It says the case was brought by Marlene Ames, a straight white woman who accused her former employer of privileging LGBTQ employees during the promotion process. Ames lost in front of lower courts, but the Supreme Court overturned those decisions on Thursday. And the justices ruled unanimously. They said that members of majority groups should not have to meet a higher burden of proof and sent Ames’ case back to lower courts for reconsideration. So that was the first one. It says, on the legal liability of gun makers. In Smith and Wesson Brands versus Mexico, the court was asked to determine whether the Mexican government could sue seven gun manufacturers based in the U.S. over their role in unlawful gun sales in Mexico. And the Supreme Court unanimously said on Thursday that the Mexican government’s lawsuit cannot move forward because Mexico’s complaint does not plausibly allege that the defendant gun manufacturers aided and abetted gun dealers’ unlawful sales of firearms to Mexican traffickers. So this is huge for the Second Amendment. It says on religious exemptions on Catholic Charities Bureau versus Wisconsin Labor and Industry Review Commission, the Supreme Court was asked to decide whether the state of Wisconsin was violating First Amendment religious freedom protections by denying a faith-based tax break to a group of Catholic nonprofits. And the court ruled in favor of Catholic Charities on that one. Next, on jurisdiction over a foreign state, in CC Divas v. Antrix, the justices were considering under what circumstances federal courts in the U.S. can assert jurisdiction over foreign states. And it says the case stemmed from a conflict between a company that’s active in the U.S. and a corporation owned by India. The Supreme Court on Thursday unanimously ruled that federal courts did have jurisdiction over India in this dispute and reversed a decision from the Ninth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Next, on reopening lawsuits, in Blum Bank v. Honigman, the court was considering whether victims of terrorist attacks or their surviving family members could reopen their case against a bank that had allegedly aided and abetted terrorists in by providing financial services. And the Supreme Court ruled that the people who brought the case did not meet the high standard that must be cleared to reopen the case. And it says, in this majority opinion authored by Justice Clarence Thomas, it was nearly unanimous. Eight of the justices ruled on that particular decision. with unanimous and Jackson was the only one who joined only in part. And then on class action lawsuits in Labcorp versus Davis, the justices were considering whether a federal court can certify a class action suit if some of the parties in the suit lack standing. And went on to say here that the Supreme, whoops, hold on here, says the justices have yet, says a majority of the justices decided to dismiss the case as improvidently granted, meaning that they felt the court should never have agreed to wait in. On that, and Justice Brett Kavanaugh dissented to that decision, writing he felt it was possible and would be valuable to rule on the case. But they’re not doing that. So a big, big day yesterday with those announcements. And stay tuned. We’ll be talking with Rob Nadelson next week about some of these additional decisions that will be coming down here over the next month. And then lastly, I talked with a friend of mine, Pam, yesterday regarding this Douglas County home rule question. And campaign finance reports were filed by the committees. And the Yes on Local Control, the group supporting home rule, has received nearly four, and this is from a community media. Let me make sure I get that right. And this is from the Douglas County News Press. It says the yes on local control, the group supporting Home Rule has received nearly four times as much money in campaign contributions as the opposition. But that massive support came from five donors. And those five donors are these. It says the two largest contributors supporting Home Rule are Ventana Capital Inc., a real estate investment and land development company along the Front Range, and the Cundy Harbor Irrevocable Trust, an entity that lists and addressed in Solano Beach. Each gave $50,000. It says other contributors included Westside Investment Company, a Denver-based real estate development firm, and Douglas County Commissioner George Thiel’s wife, Laura Thiel. Says the fifth contributor is Laura Tonner, the wife of Sean Tonner. And Tonner is a principle of renewable water resources, which aims to pipe water from the San Luis Valley to Douglas County. And he was appointed to the Douglas County Water Commission in late 2023. It says, on the other side, the Stop the Power Grab, the committee opposing the formation of the Home Rule Charter and Commission, reported contributions of about $30,000 in donations came from 200 different residents. And it says some of the contributors include Angela Thomas, who ran unsuccessfully to be a Douglas County Commissioner last fall. Lone Tree resident Julie Gooden, who was part of a recent lawsuit against the county commissioners over the home rule movement. State Representative Bob Marshall, Democrat from Highlands Ranch. and Callie Wolfe, who was recently selected to serve on the Highlands Ranch Metro District Board of Directors. So I just wanted to give you that information so that you had that, and thank you for Pam for bringing that to my attention regarding this whole home rule question. And the ballots, you probably have received that. They were mailed out on this special election. They are due back on June 24th. Where I’m coming down on this, Home Rule, well, two things. This particular ballot is going to ask two questions. It’s going to ask Douglas County residents if they want to vote for Home Rule for Douglas County. And that’s a yes or no question. And then also it will have on the ballot selections for those commissioners that would be put into place to write the charter And then that charter would be on the November on your November ballot. So that’s what that looks like. My concern is is interest to parties connecting the dots here on Sean Tonner’s wife and George Teal’s wife. And when I had George on the show, I asked him about money involved in this campaign, and he did not mention that his wife was one of the contributors to the yes on local control. And I think that would have been a nice thing to have disclosed. And so I’m concerned about… I’m just concerned with the process. I’m concerned with the lack of transparency on the process on these different commissioners, how they found out about it to put their name on the ballots, whereas everyday people didn’t seem to know what was going on. So stay tuned, but I wanted to make sure that you all had that particular information. And I had mentioned the Medal of Honor recipient from the Battle of Midway was a Marine, and that’s one of the reasons that I so support the USMC Memorial Foundation and their work in remodeling, raising the money for the remodel of the Marine Memorial, which is located right out here at 6th and Colfax. And a great thing to do would be to buy a brick to honor your loved one’s military service, And it’s a great Father’s Day gift. You can get more information by going to usmcmemorialfoundation.org. You should not have to force people to do it. And I’m very pleased to have on the line with me Dr. Walter Doherty. And he is a computer expert, I would say. Let me get over here. He is a computer consultant and also a senior lecture emeritus in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M University. He graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a degree in mathematics and then earned a master’s and doctor’s degrees from Harvard University University. which he attended on a prize fellowship from the National Science Foundation. Dr. Walter Doherty, welcome to the show.
SPEAKER 06 :
Hi, Kim. It’s great to be with you on this D-Day anniversary.
SPEAKER 12 :
It is an anniversary of D-Day. We take such great heart from what happened this day in 1944, where the Allies got a toehold in Western Europe in Normandy. and to fight back on the tyranny of Hitler and the Nazis. And I say that we’re in an ideological Normandy right now, Dr. Doherty. And it’s important that, I think we have a toehold here, but there is so much going on that we’re concerned about. But elections, free, fair, honest, and transparent elections are foundational to our American idea. And Colorado, I think there’s some real challenges with the integrity of our elections. And you and I had Mark Cook on earlier this week have uncovered something very concerning in Arapahoe County. And so set this up for us, Dr. Doherty.
SPEAKER 06 :
That’s right. So after the 2020 election, the Arapahoe County clerk and recorder who manages the elections said, canvassed, audited, and certified the results and posted them online. So the cast vote record is simply a list of how each ballot voted. There’s no personal identification on it. It’s just like a spreadsheet. The first row is how the first ballot they counted voted, and the second row is like the second ballot they counted voted. So that was the results of the 2020 election. Fast forward to October of 2024, just a few months ago, and someone noticed that the posted results didn’t make sense. So what do I mean by that? It’s common sense and unarguable that Republicans vote like Republicans and Democrats vote like Democrats and conservatives vote like conservatives. And Liberals vote like liberals. And so when you see Republicans voting like Democrats or vice versa, it’s a red flag. Now, this can happen occasionally on ticket splitting. So if there’s a very popular candidate, then voters from both parties might vote for that one or if it was their friend or neighbor. But this is usually very small. What first was brought to the attention of the Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder in October was the Ken Buck race. So Ken Buck’s a Republican. His district covers three counties with just a little slice in Arapahoe County, about 3,800 votes, as I recall. But out of the 3,800 or so votes that Ken Buck, the Republican, got in Arapahoe County… 77% of his votes came from Democrats. That just doesn’t pass the smell test. So when it was pointed out to them, this is inconsistent, doesn’t make any sense. This can’t be the right results of the 2020 election. Then Arapahoe County changed the votes on the ballots. And in 2025, around February, March, and then they put an announcement out in April, they posted a new list of how the ballots voted that fixed the problem and once again had Democrats voting like Democrats and Republicans voting like Republicans. And the other two issues that were on the ballot that were quite partisan were Measure B, Amendment B, to repeal the Gallagher Amendment, which had the effect of raising homeowners’ property taxes, and Proposition 115, which would have limited abortion to the first 22 weeks. So on both of these, you would expect there to be a huge difference between Republicans and Democrats on how they voted, but there was not. And so for every block of 10,000 or so consecutive ballots. If you just threw a dart at the list up on the wall of how each ballot voted and then wherever the dart landed took the next 10,000 ballots, if there were 42% of Republicans voting no on Amendment B, there were 42% of Democrats voting no. And if there were 37% of Republicans voting no, there were 37% of Democrats voting no. In other words, there wasn’t any difference in how Republicans and Democrats voted in any particular block of ballots. And again, that’s just not possible. So what we have here is the records, the official records, cast vote record of the 2020 election is not believable. And to fix it, they changed the votes on almost every single ballot to make it look believable. And that’s a federal crime to alter ballot records.
SPEAKER 12 :
So do we know who did this?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, it was posted by the Arapahoe County Clerk and Recorder’s Office, Joan Lopez. The Excel file that was used was created by Corrine Henodge. There was some communication with Tom Skelly in the communications department, but it’s not clear who did it, why. Well, I guess the why is obvious, is because the original report didn’t make any sense and wasn’t believable. But we need to have a thorough federal investigation to find out exactly who did it and when.
SPEAKER 12 :
So, Dr. Dougherty, did this – when I talked to Mark the other day, it sounded like that there was a reshuffling of the vote so that it didn’t – you know, it wasn’t in lockstep, both Democrats and Republicans. But did it change the outcome, this reshuffling of the votes, much?
SPEAKER 06 :
No. After they – changed the, altered the records, which, as I said, is against the law. The federal law says you cannot alter an election record. After they changed it, then the total for yes and no on the amendments or who won a particular House or Senate seat changed very little. So out of over 300,000 votes, I think the difference in the count of the before and after versions was less than 10 on most races. So it didn’t change the outcome. What it did was to change the record of how a ballot voted. It’s like taking these 354,000 ballots and going back in and erasing a bunch of bubbles that they filled in and filling in a bunch of other bubbles. In other words, You take all the yes and no votes on Amendment B, for example, that was to repeal the Gallagher Amendment by eliminating the cap on homeowners’ property taxes. So instead of having the same number of Democrat and Republican bubbles, they just rearranged that column so that Republican voters were more likely to vote no and Democrat voters were more likely to vote yes. So they just took, again, going back to the report of the cast vote record, it’s like a spreadsheet. Every row is a ballot and every column is a race. So they took all of the votes in a column, let’s say for Amendment B, and just rearranged them and said, oh, this Republican didn’t vote no, they voted yes. And this Democrat didn’t vote yes, they voted no. So they just went down the columns and erased a bunch of bubbles and filled in a bunch more bubbles, but ended up with almost exactly the same number of yes and no bubbles at the end of the day.
SPEAKER 12 :
So, Dr. Dougherty, even though the ballots don’t have the identifying information of the voter, It does have the identifying information of whether or not Republican or Democrat or independent, I wonder.
SPEAKER 06 :
No, the correlation was on how they voted for president. So if someone voted for Trump for president, then you would expect them to be most likely a Republican, certainly better than 50 percent odds and most likely to vote. oppose Amendment B. And if they voted for Biden for president, they’re most likely a Democrat and would be more likely to vote yes on Amendment B. So it was the correlation between the vote on president and the vote on a partisan issue. And again, this goes back to my saying, You know, conservatives vote conservative and liberals vote liberal and Republicans vote Republican, with some exceptions. But what you should see is on a partisan race, like President or Amendment B, or a partisan issue like Amendment B or Proposition 115 on abortion, you would expect to see a high correlation between the conservative vote for president and the conservative vote on the proposition, and a high correlation between a liberal vote for president and a liberal vote on the proposition.
SPEAKER 12 :
So with the reshuffling, that’s what they got to then, right? That particular correlation.
SPEAKER 06 :
That’s right. So they were making it look more believable. And again, you can’t just go change the votes on ballots. That’s… I just have real trouble wrapping my head around this, how anybody could think that that was all right to do.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, I’m having a very difficult time wrapping my brain around this as well. And I’m a bit surprised that we haven’t had a lot more coverage of what has happened there as well. So we’re going to continue the discussion. I’m talking with Dr. Walter Doherty. He’s a computer consultant and senior lecture emeritus at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M. And he received his master’s and doctor’s degrees from Harvard University. And this is monumental, what we’re talking about. I know it seems like it’s in the weeds, but it is monumental. And we have these discussions because we have great sponsors. SPEAKER 12 :
And welcome back to The Kim Monson Show. Be sure and check out our website. That’s KimMonson, M-O-N-S-O-N.com. Sign up for our weekly email newsletter. You can email me at Kim at KimMonson.com as well. Thank you to all of you who support us. We’re an independent voice and we search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through this lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. Something’s a good idea. You should not have to force people to do it. And we’re talking with Dr. Walter Doherty. He’s a computer consultant and senior lecture emeritus at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Texas A&M. He received his master’s and doctor’s degrees from Harvard University. And Dr. Doherty, I’m perplexed about this whole story that has broken regarding the changing of the cast vote records in Arapahoe County for the 2020 election. And somebody had to know what was going on. We had this question come in on the text line. It says, could the machines change the vote in Arapahoe without the election clerk’s knowledge? So what would you say to that?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, that’s an excellent question. So just stepping back. or up to the 50,000-foot view of how could a computer system be subverted, whether it’s a bank or a hospital or an election system, because after all, they’re all computers. So what are the common ways that a computer could be subverted? The top four on the list of most cybersecurity experts would be if it was pre-programmed to perform that function, because that’s what computers do, is what they’re programmed to do. Second would be, and this is not necessarily in order, these are just the group of the top four on most cybersecurity experts’ list of how to convert a computer. So it could be programmed that way from the beginning. There could be malware or a virus that was inserted after the computer was programmed. So that amounts to that change in the program to perform something like a ransomware attack and encrypting your files or whatever. And then the other two would be remote access or local access. So someone who was able to connect to a computer over the network then could make changes remotely. Someone who was sitting at the keyboard at the computer could make changes locally. So that’s the group of the top four ways that computers can be subverted. And that’s, again, why we need a federal investigation since this was a federal election.
SPEAKER 12 :
into how this happened that votes were changed uh illegally in arapahoe county so so we talk about the cast vote records and my understanding then there was a reshuffling of those cast vote record results so that it did not so that it looked more random and am i correct on that
SPEAKER 06 :
Yes, if this is a loose analogy, but it will, it will communicate the picture. So if you think of the ballots again as being rows on the spreadsheet, so each row is one ballot. And then you cut it in half. So each ballot you cut the left half off of the right half. And then shuffle the right half. So now you have all of the same votes, but you’ve matched one voter’s left half with another voter’s right half to make the new report. So by shuffling the right half of the ballots, that doesn’t change the outcome because it’s still the same number of yes votes and no votes on abortion or on raising taxes or whatever. It just says that now the conservative position on the right half matches the conservative position on the left half better. So, again, this is illegal. You can’t take two ballots, cut them in half, and then match the first half of one ballot with the second half of the other ballot and say, oh, that’s how they really voted. You can’t do that.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, I think this begs the question then is were the ballots authentic? So I find it crazy here in Colorado that we destroy the actual ballots relatively quickly, yes?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, this is something that a lot of people don’t seem to read the law carefully enough because there is – federal requirement that election records be maintained at least 22 months, and there is a Colorado state requirement that extends that to 25 months. However, there is another federal law, it’s Title 52 of the U.S. Code Section 21081, which says that you are required to maintain a permanent paper record with a manual audit capability. Now, I’m not an accountant, but a permanent paper record I think is pretty obvious. If it’s permanent, you can’t destroy that record. And manual audit capability to me means that if you show me a row in the report that says there’s a ballot that voted like this, It might take a lot of work, but you ought to be able to find the actual ballot or the permanent paper record of that ballot and say, okay, there was a ballot that voted like this in the report. So the federal law requires a permanent paper record with a manual audit capability. So whatever records they destroyed, they cannot destroy that required permanent paper record.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, that’s the first time I’ve heard about the permanent paper record, which that sure seems to me like that makes sense. So you said we need a federal investigation. So this would fall under what, the FBI or Pam Bondi, or what’s the next step that should occur here?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, it has been reported to the FBI, which is under the Department of Justice. So there would be at least Two areas of interest, because at the federal level, because this was a presidential election in 2020, with the federal concern for elections, Sorry, I lost my train of thought. Okay. Ask me again.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, yeah, so the permanent record, I’m perplexed as well. I’m trying to think about, I guess I asked about, so we said the FBI, it’s been referred to the FBI, and it’s under the Department of Justice. Okay, now I remember. Yeah, go ahead.
SPEAKER 06 :
Now I remember. So under the Department of Justice, you have the FBI, and… As the name says, this is the Federal Bureau of Investigation. That’s what the FBI does is they investigate federal crimes. So if it’s a federal crime, it would probably go to the FBI. But it’s also a civil right. So the law that I quoted of Title 52 of the United States Code originated in the 1960 Civil Rights Act because having fair, honest, auditable and accurate elections is a foundational civil right if we don’t have elections that are fair honest auditable and accurate then then we don’t have a country so it could also be investigated by the civil rights division of the department of justice so fbi and office of civil rights would be the obvious ones if your listeners would like to see the whole report Let me give you a URL for that. It’s tinyurl.com slash Arapahoe County Report, no spaces, and capital A Arapahoe, capital C County, capital R Report. tinyurl.com slash Arapahoe County Report. And that has both the report, which… Mark Cook and six or seven other experts and I compiled all of our research into one report and also linked to the video of the news conference on the steps of the Capitol in Denver on May 27th.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, Dr. Walter Doherty, this is huge, complicated, but huge. So thank you for shedding light on this. We will continue to watch this because, as you say, if we don’t have free, fair, honest, and transparent elections, we don’t have a country. And so this is what we’re really fighting for in this battle of ideas. So Dr. Doherty, thank you so much.
SPEAKER 06 :
Thank you, Kim. And thanks for keeping up the good fight. I appreciate it.
SPEAKER 12 :
Absolutely. And our quote for the end of the show is from Dwight D. Eisenhower. And he said, for every obstacle, there is a solution. Persistence is the key. The greatest mistake is giving up. So today, be grateful. Read great books. Think good thoughts. Listen to beautiful music. Communicate and listen well. Live honestly and authentically. Strive for high ideals. And like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you. God bless America. Stay tuned for hour number two.
SPEAKER 04 :
And I don’t want no one to cry. But tell them if I don’t survive.

It’s the Kim Monson Show. Analyzing the most important stories.
SPEAKER 12 :
An early childhood taxing district? What on earth is that?
SPEAKER 18 :
The latest in politics and world affairs.
SPEAKER 12 :
I don’t think that we should be passing legislation that is so complicated that people kind of throw up their hands and say, I can’t understand that.
SPEAKER 18 :
Today’s current opinions and ideas.
SPEAKER 12 :
And it’s not fair just because you’re a big business that you get a break on this and the little guy doesn’t.
SPEAKER 18 :
Is it freedom or is it force? Let’s have a conversation.
SPEAKER 12 :
Indeed, let’s have a conversation. And welcome to our number two of the Kim Monson Show. Thank you so much for joining us. You each are treasured, you’re valued, you have purpose. Today’s drive for excellence, take care of your heart, your soul, your mind, and your body. My friends, we were made for this moment in history. And thank you to the team that I get to work with. That’s Producer Joe, Luke, Rachel, Zach, Echo, Charlie, Mike, Teresa, Amanda, and all the people here at Crawford Broadcasting. Happy Friday, Producer Joe.
SPEAKER 17 :
Happy Friday, Kim.
SPEAKER 12 :
And what do you think about that conversation from our number one with Dr. Walter Doherty and this changing of the Arapahoe County CASPO records? It’s perplexing, isn’t it?
SPEAKER 17 :
It is. There’s so many options. It’s kind of bewildering.
SPEAKER 12 :
Yeah. And if we don’t have free, fair, honest and transparent elections, my friends, we don’t have a country. And I’m trying to get to the URL here to make sure that I have that. I’ll do that during the break. But let’s get over here to our quote of the day, our word of the day. Our word of the day is machination. And I guess we could really use machination in a sentence. Thank you, Jenny, for the suggestion regarding this Arapahoe County change in the cast vote records. Because machination, spelled M-A-C-H-I-N-A-T-I-O-N, is a complicated and secret plan to get power or control or to gain an advantage. And it seems like there is certainly some machination here to control the elections here in Colorado. We will get to the bottom of this. We will continue to shed light on this because. In order to have the American idea, liberty-loving people every place needs to step forward and demand that we have free, fair, honest, and transparent elections. And on this anniversary of D-Day, D-Day was June 6, 1944, we are in an ideological moment. at Normandy at this particular point in time, and the foundational component of this is our elections. And so we’ve got to continue to shed light on this, and thank you for people for caring about this. So anyway, let’s continue on. Again, the word of the day is machination. That’s M-A-C-H-I-N-A-T-I-O-N. And our quote of the day is from the Medal of Honor quote book from the Center for American Values. The center is located in Pueblo. And Pueblo has this beautiful river walk. And I would encourage you to make it a day down to the Center for American Values in Pueblo during the summer sometime. And you can get more information about that by going to AmericanValueCenter.org. That’s AmericanValueCenter.org. But the quote comes from the Medal of Honor quote book. This is from Robert M. Patterson, United States Medal of Honor, born 1948. Actions were taken May 6, 1968 during the Vietnam War. And he said this, your integrity is the most valuable asset you have. Never jeopardize it. And again, that’s Robert M. Patterson, Medal of Honor recipient for actions taken during the Vietnam War. And I want to say thank you to the Harris family for their gold sponsorship of the show. It is because of all of your independent support that we are shedding light on these important issues. And this thing that’s happening in Arapahoe County is absolutely huge. And so we’ll continue to shed light on that. In this big, beautiful bill, there are some things that are quite good. And we’ll talk with the Center for Renewing America next week, Wade Miller, about tax cuts, making those permanent, which is great, and spending cuts. But there are also things in there that are of great concern. And one of those is, and we talked to Alicia Garcia and Teddy Collins about this, and that is the suppressor rights. And so we’ll be talking with them about that in just a moment. And Alicia, we’re going to be rolling out her essay this weekend, The Big Beautiful Backfire, How Colorado Could Lose Suppressor Rights Without Section 3 of the Hearing Protection Act. And I thought, I’d like to take a look at this big, beautiful bill and read it. And it’s pretty huge. And one other thing that people are concerned about, and one of our listeners has reached out, and that is that states would not have any power for a period of 10 years regarding any of these AI policies. data centers and that is of a lot of great concern to people as well so we’ve got to have these honest conversations about what is happening in our country and this big beautiful bill there’s some things I like about it there’s some things that I’m very concerned so on the line with me is Alicia Garcia with the second syndicate Alicia welcome to the show good morning and uh teddy collins uh also with the second syndicate teddy welcome thank you for having us so teddy i’ll go to you first we’ve talked about this when you guys were on last week about in this big beautiful bill that there unless there’s some changes made it will make it basically illegal to purchase or own a suppressor for a firearm here in colorado do i have that correct
SPEAKER 08 :
Correct. With the current wording of how it’s worded, which we’re actively trying to get changed. In fact, there’s a letter going out to the Senate and Congress today to implore them to add Section 3 of the HPA, the Hearing Protection Act, which would protect our rights here in Colorado. Unfortunately, there’s a Colorado law in the books that would make it almost instantly illegal because how… For at least the last decade or so, it’s been accepted that the $200 NFA tax stamp was essentially a license in the state of Colorado to own destructive device under Colorado state law, not federal law, but Colorado state law. This would eliminate that. that stamp, that tax stamp, and therefore there would be no path to purchase in the state of Colorado under Colorado’s current laws. And I don’t see our legislator being very friendly or fixing that issue. So it’s very important that we get Section 3 added, which would essentially make a 4473 the licensing requirement for the state of Colorado, if that makes sense, to put it in layman’s terms.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay. So, and a suppressor, I think people, Alicia Garcia, think that a suppressor means that it makes a firearm so people can’t hear that it’s being shot. That’s not the case. It’s really for, as Teddy mentioned, it’s for hearing protection, correct? Correct.
SPEAKER 10 :
It’s basically, if you think of suppressors like you would think of a muffler car suppressor, completely take away the sound it just makes it that the gases that come out of the firearm are dispersed in a different way so you don’t have such a big bang when you’re shooting a firearm the sound that you hear when you hear the pop pop pop or the bang bang bang is actually it’s the gas hitting the atmosphere so what a suppressor does is it disperses those gases so those gases don’t hit the atmosphere right at the same time so it’s less of a sound.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, you know what? We lost Alicia for just a moment, so let’s make sure that we have a good connection.
SPEAKER 08 :
I can kind of step in there if you need me to kind of explain it. So just to be clear, suppressors do suppress the sound. They reduce the sound. They reduce the amount of decibels that are put out into the wild. So to be clear, you know, calibers like 556 out of an AR-15, even suppressed, they’re still extremely loud. In fact, they’re still not hearing safe without hearing protection unless you’re using subsonic rounds. To be clear, a suppressor definitely reduces the effect on the end user as far as their hearing loss and things of that nature, but it does not reduce sound like you see in a movie. If you were to fire a suppressor in a home, people in the home would hear it, especially out of rifle calibers.
SPEAKER 12 :
OK. And so we will be rolling out your essay on this, Alicia Garcia, because this is so important. And Alicia, it’s it’s really seems that the right for everyday law abiding citizens to be able to keep and bear firearms to protect citizens. ourselves from bad actors has been under assault here in Colorado for a long time. And in a way, the Second Amendment, it’s almost like they’re going at it at death by a thousand cuts. And that’s why what you’re doing at the Second Syndicate is so important, Alicia.
SPEAKER 10 :
Indeed. So thank you so much for allowing us to publish articles and information to get the people more informed. I think that’s one of the pathways to change is that we have run into so many people, that are unaware of the things, especially gun owners and hunters that aren’t registered to vote, that aren’t involved in the movement. They’re completely aloof to what is actually happening in Colorado. So having platforms like this and allowing us to voice, you know, the things that are going on here in the state is one way to make change. And so when we awaken people to what is happening, it allows them to be more involved and motivate them to get more involved in what’s going on at the Gold Dome downtown and say, hey, you know what? These are my civil rights. These aren’t privileges. These are rights that we have as natural-born Americans, and we deserve these rights of self-defense, and that’s in any way we choose. So thank you for giving us that opportunity to share our movement and what we’re doing.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and, Teddy, this is continuing to gain steam, and you’re going to be having a membership of the Second Syndicate coming up here soon. But what’s the best way for people to reach you? What is your website?
SPEAKER 08 :
So it’s the2ndsyndicate.com, the2ndsyndicate.com, spelled out 2nd. Also, they can follow us on X at the2ndsyndicate.com.
SPEAKER 12 :
as well so those would be two good ways to follow us keep track of what we’re doing and stay informed well great and i hope that next week when we talk that we have good news that this insert has been made into the the big beautiful bill so that we are make sure that we don’t have this assault regarding suppressors for coloradans to own and to purchase here so thank you alicia garcia and teddy collins with the second syndicate we’ll talk again next week
SPEAKER 08 :
Thank you. Absolutely. God bless you.
SPEAKER 12 :
Thank you. And it is so important. And we are an independent voice. The way we are going to reclaim our state and our country is within each of us. SPEAKER 12 :
Indeed, it is Friday and welcome back to the Kim Monson Show. Be sure and check out our website. That is Kim Monson, M-O-N-S-O-N.com. Sign up for our weekly email newsletter. You can email me at Kim at KimMonson.com as well. And thank you to all of you who support us. We’re an independent voice and we search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. Something’s a good idea. You should not have to force people to do it. And I’m pleased to have on the line with me Kevin Mooney. He’s a senior investigative researcher for Restoration News, specializing in energy policy, environmental groups, and dark money. He writes regularly for the American Spectator, Washington Examiner, Daily Caller, Daily Signal, and National Review. And he is an author of an upcoming book on the climate change movement and American independence. Kevin Mooney, welcome.
SPEAKER 09 :
Hey, thanks so much for having me. Very glad to be here.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, good to have you, and very concerned about energy costs here in America. One of our sponsors is Laramie Energy, which I greatly appreciate, because we’re realizing the reliable, efficient, affordable, and abundant energy sources allows everyday people to go after their hopes and dreams, run their businesses, take care of their families. and empowers us to change our own personal climate to be warm in the winter and cool in the summer. And all of that has been under attack. And you wrote a piece regarding Virginia, and it’s Virginia rate payers get smacked with 50% increase in electricity bills over the next two years. And this was published at Restoration News at the end of May. And so Virginia is not that different from Colorado.
SPEAKER 09 :
No, they have the same problems. I will say, though, what’s particular about Virginia, you have a governor’s race that could be very competitive, and the specter of higher energy prices could potentially upend that race. Virginia has its own version of the Green New Deal. It’s called the Virginia Clean Economy Act. And that’s just the nice sounding phraseology the politicians give to it. What they really are are mandates that require a certain percentage of Virginia’s energy portfolio to have wind and solar power, which don’t really work very well. And on top of that, they cost the ratepayers an awful lot of money. So just standing alone, that law by itself, we have some good numbers on this at Restoration News. But the long and the short of it is that the average utility bill, which is something in the neighborhood of like 119 per month, has gone up to like 135 per month. and it’s only going to get more expensive going forward. The other devilish thing about this is that the utilities start to hide the prices. There was a time when you can go in and look and see how much wind and solar and other so-called green schemes were costing, but now they’re hiding it, which is unfortunate to say the least. But that Virginia Green New Deal is for the birds and is making it harder for average people to make a living.
SPEAKER 12 :
And does Virginia have – we have something out here with Excel in the metro area called Smart Meters. Does Virginia have anything like that?
SPEAKER 09 :
I don’t think so, no. However, what they do have, though, are a whole lot of – A whole lot of schemes slowing out of what I call the Virginia Green New Deal. So up until now, I don’t think they have smart meters, but there are plans in motion to measure how much energy average people are using so that a centralized planner down in Richmond, Virginia could potentially shut off their power. They’re not quite there yet, but it’s certainly moving in that direction.
SPEAKER 12 :
Okay, I think Colorado many times is at the tip of the spear of all of this awful stuff that is occurring. So next thing, you had published this just recently that there’s a Virginia Democrat poised to impose carbon taxes as governor. So tell us about this governor’s race.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, the governor’s race is sort of close and competitive. Virginia is interesting because the governor only serves one term. They’re term limited. Governor Glenn Youngkin, the Republican incumbent, to his everlasting credit, got Virginia out of a deal called the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. It’s basically a climate change scheme that involves consumers paying higher energy prices, what we call carbon taxes, all in the name of climate. He got out of it. We have a stat from one of our allied groups showing that it would have cost Virginia ratepayers something in the neighborhood of $523 million on their utility bills over the next few years if Virginia had remained glued in that plan. Now, Spanberger, who is the Democratic candidate in Virginia, has pledged to put Virginia back into this scheme. which means they’re going to be in for a vicious one-two punch. They’re going to have the Virginia Green New Deal. Then they’re going to have carbon taxes added on top of that, which is just going to make living standards unsustainable for average people in Virginia. I think that’s ultimately what this race is about. Does Virginia stay out of this climate change scheme, or does it go back into it? And I think that’s really the bottom line question.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and I had great hope with the Trump administration in getting us out of the Green New Deal and getting us back to affordable, abundant, reliable, and efficient energy. But what I’m seeing now is that at the local, the county, and the state level, there are those that are in office, there’s bureaucrats, that are doubling down on this Green New Deal at the local, county, and state level. And I’m really concerned about that, Kevin Mooney.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, of course, which is why I think this is the critical battle. If the Republicans win this governor’s race and Virginia stays out of the regional greenhouse gas initiative, other states will begin to follow suit, and that will begin to collapse these local and state schemes. So if the regional greenhouse gas goes the way of the dodo bird, I think that would create pressure across state lines and other areas. So you’re quite right to worry about what’s happening sort of locally and parochially where these climate schemes can still burrow in. But I would just say, look, if you’re concerned about higher energy prices, if you’re concerned about the cost of living, this race in Virginia is for all the marbles. Stay out of this climate scheme. They’re already getting a sock to them with the Virginia Clean Energy Act. And if they add carbon taxes on top of it, you’re going to see an awful lot of people leaving the state of Virginia, which would be very sad and unfortunate.
SPEAKER 12 :
Virginia is such a beautiful state. And so next thing, and I just saw this come across the wire this morning, and that is this huge solar field, solar complex, I should say, out in California. The Ivanpah solar complex looks like they’re going to shut that down. And I remember when they opened that up, I had been talking about my concern of the amount of land that was being used. And the heat from that was killing birds. And now they’re closing that down. What’s your thoughts about that, Kevin Mooney?
SPEAKER 09 :
I think it shows us that these plans don’t work as advertised. And they’re not about the climate. They’re not about the environment. They’re about expanding government power. And they’re about empowering centralized planners and walking all over average people. If you take a look at the solar schemes and the wind schemes, those plans only benefit a select few. It raises energy costs for average people across the board. but it enriches very politically well-connected people. And you really put your finger on it. We can blow a hole through this by demonstrating that solar schemes, wind schemes are not good for the environment. As you said, they take up a lot of land. The other item on top of that is when these items are decommissioned, they have their own pollution. And they’re very hard to recycle. They have a huge footprint. And it’s a lose-lose. You’re raising energy prices while also damaging the environment, which means that these schemes were never about what folks said they were about. They were about empowering government bureaucrats. And I think the plan you highlighted in California is a perfect illustration of that. It’s not good for open space. It’s not good for pristine, clean environments. But it does enrich a few select few. And that’s really what this is about.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and that’s what I’ve learned regarding this whole climate scheme. And I just wanted to mention at this particular point in time, the documentary that I was involved in called A Climate Conversation. And that was financed by my good friends, Walt and Rami Johnson, because they just wanted to have an honest conversation about this whole narrative around climate. And what I’ve learned in doing the film, and then also we did some podcasts on this, Kevin Mooney, is the Green, and you’ve alluded to it, the Green and the Green New Deal is the amount of money that’s been going into, and I’m going to call it grifters’ pockets. This is interested parties, politicians, bureaucrats, and interested parties. It has been a way for them to line their pockets, and that’s what the Green and the Green New Deal is really about.
SPEAKER 09 :
Follow the money, and here’s what takes the bloom off the rose. A lot of average people who don’t like, we all have not-in-our-backyard kind of mentalities, but a lot of average people who are against these wind power schemes, against the solar schemes and what they do to the environment, find themselves lined up against self-described environmental groups. Scratch your head and ask yourself, why are groups that advertise as environmental advocacy groups promoting items that they know are going to be bad for the environment? And again, follow the money. They’re getting money from the wind power companies. They’re getting money from the solar power companies. And it’s all about this incestuous connection between a select few and people holding high positions in government. Although I will give you the good news. I do think the change in the federal level with the Trump administration has changed the momentum somewhat. And it has put the kibosh on some of the wind power plans, and I think it has sort of peeled back and exposed what these schemes are all about. So I do think there’s been a little bit of a momentum shift, and we can take some solace out of that.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and this piece regarding the Ivanpah solar plant said that by closing it down just 11 years after it opened, PG&E pulled out of its contract with the plant, leading to the plant closure of two of its three units by next year, while Southern California Edison is also working on buying out its contract. The plant cost $2.2 billion to build, and the Department of Energy said taxpayers will receive a refund of an undisclosed amount for the $1.6 billion in the department loans. The contracts were supposed to take the plant through at least 2039. So this is really, really a big deal, isn’t it, Kevin?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, absolutely. Like I say, it’s all about elitism and privilege. And take a look at the lifespan for some of these solar power plants. They don’t really last very long. There’s a big cost that comes into recycling them and maintaining them and what happens to them after they’ve run it through their life cycle. So I think there’s a huge opportunity here. But basically anything involving California is Exhibit A of what not to do. And I am going to give you a warning sign out there in Colorado. The great Governor Gavin Newsom has recently announced a plan to expand his state’s cap-and-trade scheme, which is essentially what the regional greenhouse gas initiative is in the Northeast. And I’d be concerned if Colorado gets pulled into it, because it’s certainly possible.
SPEAKER 12 :
It’s very possible because I think in many ways Colorado wants to be California wannabe. And sometimes I think we are out California-ing California. And that’s not a good thing to be able to say. So we’re going to continue the discussion with Kevin Mooney. And these are so important. We have them because of our sponsors. And for everything residential real estate, you want Karen Levine on your side of the table.
SPEAKER 01 :

We search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. Something’s a good idea. You should not have to force people to do it. And I’m talking with Kevin Mooney. He’s a senior investigative researcher for Restoration News specializing in energy policy. environmental groups, and dark money. And Kevin Mooney, everyday people, the American dream over, I would say, the last 30 years, there’s been this effort to, I think, make Americans feel guilty for wanting to thrive and to prosper. And certainly from an energy standpoint, trying to make people feel guilty for, you know, cooling their homes in the summer, trying to stay warmer in the winter. And it seems to me like they’re really just going after everyday, hardworking Americans with so many policies across the board.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, no, it’s sort of like a repackaged, reloaded version of a problem we’ve always had. Powerful government figures trying to enrich themselves and using this phony narrative. Americans are not addicted to fossil fuels. They’re addicted to freedom. You don’t have freedom without cheap, affordable, reliable energy. It makes everything go. Nothing has done more to lift people out of poverty and raise living standards than fossil fuels. Now, we should all be in favor of innovation. If there’s a scenario where wind and solar can stand on its own two feet and be part of a larger matrix, we should look at it. But it shouldn’t be coerced, and the government shouldn’t pick winners and looters, because the losers are going to be average people who can’t afford these costs. Now, people like Governor Gavin Newsom and people out in California who live inside of gated communities can absorb these costs, but the people who they claim to champion cannot. There is nothing worse for average people than rising energy prices, and we should all keep a sharp eye out on Virginia. Virginia could potentially strike a blow for all of us by getting out of these green schemes and creating a ripple effect, hopefully, across state lines.
SPEAKER 12 :
So is this a November election for this governor in Virginia?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yes. The lieutenant governor, Winston Sears, is running against Abigail Spanberger, a former member of Congress and a former CIA official who has got buckets of money. So the polls I’m looking at now, it’s early. But the Democrats ahead by like four points, I think, single digits, very much within reach. I am a little bit befuddled and frustrated that Winston Sears, the lieutenant governor, has not made more of an issue out of the energy question. But she ought to get started because that could be a game changer. If more Virginia residents become attuned to the fact that they’re already rising energy prices are only going to get worse, it could turn the whole election upside down. But, of course, you’ve got to talk about it. You’ve got to seize on it and make that the issue. So I’m a little frustrated that Republican candidates have been a little slow out of the gate, just to be honest.
SPEAKER 12 :
OK, and what about let’s talk about nationally with the Trump administration and your comments, any thoughts about this big, beautiful bill and then this disagreement now between Elon Musk and Donald Trump?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, the disagreement is sort of unfortunate. It’s two big egos. I will say, you know, maybe Trump is listening. Who knows? But I’m probably a little bit on Elon’s side of it. You should err on the side of putting downward pressure on spending. Anytime you have a so-called big, beautiful bill, there’s going to be good and bad in it. I think there’s mostly good in the bill. However, we do have a national debt crisis, and we’re careening toward a point, especially with entitlements, that that system is going to collapse. So anything Senate Republicans are going to do to put richer, deeper spending cuts in there, more profound spending cuts, downward pressure is going to be helpful. That being said, I think especially on the energy side, there’s probably more good than bad, but it’s not a perfect bill, and that’s the honest answer.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and we probably will never get to a perfect bill because there’s so many interested parties in all this. I would really like to get to a point. Is this realistic that we would get rid of government grants and subsidies and incentives and get back to a freer, truer market? Do you think that’s a possibility?
SPEAKER 09 :
uh… not in short term but i think you can consider to ship the trajectory a little bit also one area such as this is talking about climate i think getting government grant uh… out of book uh… subsidizing so-called science is a good way to start that is what happens here if you get research that confirms the government bias to justify uh… more expensive regulations And if you had a free market system and he didn’t have those government slash taxpayer-funded grants, you could have something more in the way of honesty and transparency in science rather than these coerced results that government regulators are going for. So that’s a good starting point. I would start there and just get the government out of funding science, subsidizing science and coercing outcomes that are not rooted in sound observations. and see if that can have a more fettered, free, open scientific inquiry versus allowing the government to sort of dictate research outcomes that justify their regulations.
SPEAKER 12 :
Got it. Got it. Next question, and we’ve talked about these on the show, and you work in the energy area, and that’s the CO2 pipelines. And I’ve had great concerns about that. CO2, I’ve learned, is actually plant food, and if plants thrive and prosper, then humans and animals thrive and prosper. It’s a great circle of life. And it doesn’t make any sense, first of all, just to bury CO2. But secondly, there’s tax incentives for these pipelines. And I’m very concerned about that. Kevin Mooney, what’s your thoughts on that?
SPEAKER 09 :
I would say that right from the start, it’s a mistake to demonize CO2. As you say, it is the elixir of life. It’s a naturally occurring substance. If you talk to enough geologists and astronomers and physicists, they’ll tell you if anything, we’re actually in a CO2 famine. If you go back longer in the geological record. So the whole idea that there’s too much CO2 emissions is flawed to begin with. As you point out, it actually has benefits for animal and plant life. My own feeling is, since we breathe CO2, the attack on CO2 is an attack on humanity itself. It’s a way to control people and justify more expensive… more extensive regulation. So I would say let the free market work, let it all hang out. And the natural gas revolution has been a game changer for the United States, especially. And here’s why that’s so important. Natural gas has no emissions, and yet the greenies are still criticizing just because they’re against fossil fuels. But I would say the really great thing about natural gas is not that it has low emissions. I mean, that’s fine, but that it’s cheap and affordable, domestically produced. It raises living standards and it frees the United States from being dependent on hostile farms, both sources. So, number one, I think that the time has come for us just to reject the whole premise of the climate movement. It’s all about government control. It has nothing to do with the climate or the environment.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and as you mentioned, it is anti-human, and that’s what I’ve learned as we’ve done these podcasts, and also I’d recommend people go to climateconversation.com and they can watch the movie for free, is that this is anti-human flourishing is ultimately what it is. But it’s been – the narrative has been – effective uh where everyday because everyday americans we care about uh our families we care about our communities we care about our earth we we want to be good stewards and this whole movement has taken that that caring um and it’s um really i think used it against everyday people people have have willingly, in a way, given up their rights because they’ve been made to feel guilty about thriving and prospering. And also they want to be good stewards of the earth. And I think that it’s really been insidious with this narrative, Kevin Mooney.
SPEAKER 09 :
It has, but here’s what I think is happening. There is an honorable, laudable tradition of environmentalism that predates the 1970s. I think beginning in the 1970s with the first Earth Day, that’s when this command and control approach really hijacked the quote-unquote environmental movement, empowered federal agencies, and put its boots on the neck of average people. I think there’s a growing recognition of that climate activism as such is actually harmful to the environment and i think it’s a chance here real chance to turn the narrative back around and assume the moral high ground that american ingenuity and cheap affordable energy is actually good for the environment good for humanity, and actually accelerates human freedom. And I would say in the run-up to 250 years of American independence, one really great way to celebrate that is to get out of these international climate agreements and go back to being an independent country that doesn’t have to march in lockstep with these UN mandates. And now is the time to do that.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, and this is a window in time to make this happen. And 250 years ago, 1775, it was a – things were really heating up for freedom. And you said this, that it’s not that people are addicted to fossil fuels. It’s that we are addicted to freedom. And so for you to connect the dot, that what this is really about is freedom, everyday people being able to live freely and – live this American dream. That is really what this whole narrative is about. And so these elections are so important, as you mentioned this one here in Virginia. So what’s your final thought on all of this, Kevin Mooney with Restoration News?
SPEAKER 09 :
Okay, I’ll just throw something else that I haven’t mentioned. It’s not just the Virginia governor’s race. There’s a governor’s race in New Jersey, too. And the Republican, who I think will likely be the nominee, has come out in favor of taking New Jersey out of the regional greenhouse gas initiative. If you can have a victory in Virginia that prevents Virginia from going back in and pull New Jersey out, that would be a real victory for affordable energy and sensible free market policies. And they’re within reach, but you have to go on offense. You can’t let the climate activists and their ally in the media set the narrative. You’ve got to start now and say it’s going to make things more unaffordable. It’s going to subtract from human freedom. It’s going to be bad for the climate. It’s a lose-lose. And now is the time to go back to free market energy policies.
SPEAKER 12 :
You know what, that triggered another question with me. And one of my friends, Virginia Maka, with Stand for the Land Kansas, has brought out the human rights issue regarding the manufacturing of solar panels and wind turbines from China, which is using slave labor for that. And I think she’s on to something as well, as we need to be letting people know about that also.
SPEAKER 09 :
For sure. Yeah, they are using slave labor, and they’re doing it in parts of Africa, too, to get these minerals that go into so-called renewable components. And there’s a book called Cobalt Red. I can’t remember who the author was that goes through all this in great detail about how younger populations’ children are exploited to extract these minerals. So I would say that the climate activists do not have a leg to stay on in terms of morality, but I’ll also say it’s time to go on offense. And maybe these two governor’s races could be a real turning of the wheel.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, let’s hope so. Kevin Mooney with Restoration News, thank you so much. And we’ll have to get you back on very, very soon.

And so much is coming in here regarding these particular elections. And it says… Let’s see here. It says, oh, one question. Can CutEngage be activated to contact the Senate, Congress, and President on the big, beautiful bill? That’s an excellent question. We haven’t done anything nationally on that, and we’ve not analyzed things on a national basis, but I will talk to the team, and we’ll talk a little bit about that. We’ve never done that, so that’s a really good question. There were some other headlines that I wanted to bring up and one of these I wanted to continue regarding this Ivanpah solar plant. And again, I remember 11 years ago when it had opened and I looked at the massive subsidies. that were being put into it and was really concerned about it. And so this article goes on to say, in all the energy from the plant cost too much money. It produced around 70% of what it was projected to produce annually. It says the sea of mirrors that the plant produced relied on to produce the energy led to the plant catching on fire in 2016 after mirrors were wrongly positioned in relation to the sun. The plant struggled with energy production due to weather, clouds, and jet streams and was also pretty bad for the environment with the whole burning birds to death thing. It says the plant also used natural gas to keep itself running around six times the limit allowed by the California Energy Commission. And it says, what is most shocking is the scope and scale of this project compared to the icky nuclear energy California has tried to rid itself of over the same time period. In 2020, Ivanpah produced 856 gigawatt hours of energy, and this represented a substantial increase in inefficiency, In efficiency and output, 91% of the plant’s production goals, the plant takes up 3,500 acres of land. And, again, they’re going to be, it sounds like, closing that down after only 11 years. But all of that green, all of that money that went into it, somebody got that into their pocket. We’ve got Gammy on the line. Gammy, what is on your radar? And welcome.
SPEAKER 11 :
Hugs, more hugs and more hugs to everybody. All right, let’s get to it. All of these things you had on today, especially the energy business, you know how I feel, and I will tell you, they all have something in common, that the energy policies, the COVID policies, the kids, you know, and mutilating them, all of these have been based on lies. and false science, all of them. The energy business, we have 800 years of coal, which gives us reliability to come up with safe energy. Colorado passed a law, what was it, 1140, that would give subsidies to nuclear, okay? It wasn’t about approving nuclear to be used in the future. It was just to give subsidies to private companies who down the road, when bad things happen with the storage, you know, in accidents, They won’t be here to pay, and guess who pays? The people. Go to the COVID. Even the Children’s Health Defense Fund has now said no children or pregnant women should be getting the COVID. Eighty-two percent of the women that were pregnant that took the COVID aborted their babies, not abortions. In other words, they just lost their babies. And probably a billion are dead on the planet from the lies of the COVID, which are DOD and bad people that infiltrated, created and snuck up to Wuhan. They’re all complicit. And then you get to the kids. All the laws they passed in Denver are based on ideology, not experimental. I mean, not science, not science. All of it is experimental. And the John Money people and all… criminal people who did horrible things, and we’re letting counselors be pedophiles and trans people and LGBTQ who I don’t condemn. I think they’re the innocent victims of people who have been infiltrated by bigger things than just our local Colorado gulag. We have been infiltrated by enemy nations with spies who have done things, cut off women’s breasts, even in the name of fake cancers. Everything that has been fed us and the big bad bill has too much bad stuff in it, including FDA and CDC could have total control over us in any case. Hello, are we going back to COVID again? We in the local, and I mean local, down to the nitty gritty precinct, have to get to our commissioners, our city councils, and our schools and say, Heck no. We will not take any more. You will stop this, and we will get real science involved. And that includes our utility companies that are literally supporting fake solar projects, batteries, wind, all the bad stuff, the carbon pipelines, the methane pipelines. Everything they’re doing destroys life.
SPEAKER 12 :
farmers ranchers land taking this is a huge plan to eradicate quote two-thirds of us the globalist world economic forum who un so grammy the question on the table because you’re absolutely right and what you are saying is abs it’s it’s daunting when we look at just how this is infiltrated our country. But I was talking with a young person yesterday, and we said that all of this is, that America and the American idea still beats in the hearts of each and every one of us. But it seems, as you’re going through this list, it seems a bit overwhelming, and we’ve got to We’ve got to step forward and, first of all, get our brains around these issues and understand them. And then we do have to engage with our local elected representatives. But the other thing is the concern that I have regarding our elections and this whole thing with Arapahoe County is really of great concern. So it seems a bit daunting when we look at all of this, Gammy.
SPEAKER 11 :
But that’s just it. You just nailed it. The election fraud, Tina in jail and Jay Sixers instead of the real criminals. The fact is you have to be almost brain dead not to imagine that some elections, all elections can be stolen, which they can’t. But foreign people control Dominion, Smartmatics and Clear, all these different companies. We know for a fact that they’ve stolen our elections algorithmically and other ways.
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, yeah. And but the thing about it is, is we’ve got to I know that we all have so many concerns about it. And this whole thing in Arapahoe County, this may be the thing that will actually, you know, you know, take the veil off of what has occurred on this. So Gammy, we are just about out of time. I appreciate, first of all, I’m glad you’re feeling better. And I appreciate all the research that you do on these important issues. So Gammy, thank you very much.
SPEAKER 11 :
You’re welcome, and thank you for hosting all this, because without the truth, the people can’t make proper decisions. We are being stolen and killed and harmed, and yes, it’s harsh, and I’m sorry a lot of young people are, you know, brain-frogged from it, but we have to face the truth. We don’t have enough time if we don’t say no to all of this. We have…
SPEAKER 12 :
Absolutely, we have to say no to all of this. And there was one other headline that I had not gotten to that I wanted to mention. And that is that Colorado, so there’s something called conversion therapy. And so if your child came home from school and had gender confusion and you took them to a therapist to talk about that if they’re a boy, they’re a boy, if they’re a girl, it’s called conversion therapy. And that is outlawed. here in Colorado. But Colorado has joined other states supporting a law against conversion therapy for minors. And it’s a multi-state group and very concerned about this as well. So we will talk more about that next week. And so we work diligently to shed light on all of these things that are occurring. And it seems like there’s a lot, but on this anniversary of D-Day, I went to Dwight D. Eisenhower for a quote for the end of the show, and he said, For every obstacle, there is a solution. Persistence is the key. The greatest mistake is in giving up. So today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you, and God bless America.
