It does feel really humid. I noticed that this morning. Yeah, it’s pretty humid.

Reminds me a little bit of Wisconsin.

Yeah, you’re right. Good way to say it.

Which is really nice. You know, when I was a kid, I used to take walks in Stoughton, Wisconsin. It’s a little town south of Madison. And at the right time of year, there’s a river that goes through it. It’s called the O’Hara River, and it goes through our little town there. Well, the fog and mist that comes off of the O’Hara River is so thick that I mean, you can literally see cars when they go through it swirling.
SPEAKER 11 :
Wow.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay. And so it was really cool. So when you’d take a walk, you’d walk through your neighborhood, and it was like you were in your own little world. You couldn’t see anything around you. Wow. And so I took a little walk today. Granted, I didn’t have all the myths, but it kind of felt that way.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, and we don’t get that way very often. That’s, again, 17 years. This is the highest dew point we’ve had in that amount of time. I woke up this morning and just start, you know, kind of doing my normal research and so on.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 05 :
And they were saying that it was more humid at that time. That was about 7 a.m. this morning. But we are more humid today, that hour, than Dallas, Texas was. Wow. Which doesn’t usually happen. So anyways.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, two things real quick. First of all, do you like that?
SPEAKER 05 :
On a day like today, not so bad, as long as it’s not super hot, which is not bad today. Agreed. I’ll take that. If it were, you know, 95 degrees and like this, that would be miserable. That would be a big problem. I don’t want that. But today’s fine.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, I agree. Second question real quick here. Why? Why are we so humid right now?
SPEAKER 05 :
It had to do with a bunch of storms that were east of us, and it pushed a bunch of the moisture this way, and then there’s a front coming in as well, going to cool some things off, potential rain in that for tomorrow. So just a perfect storm, I guess, is why. Okay. That’s why we don’t see it that often here. So for those of you that are out-of-towners or traveling through or you now live here but you didn’t used to, this is not normal for us.
SPEAKER 10 :
No, it is not. We are in arid state. And this is one of the things that I noticed when I first moved here is there’s no bugs comparatively.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s right. That’s right. Yeah. Compared to other places, we don’t have near the critters that a lot of other folks have because of that. So it’s a good thing.

It is a very good thing. Okay.

All right. Yes, raise a possible question. Mark Twain’s book, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, was greatly influenced by a book published in 1605. Name the book. We don’t need no… British in language, or Canadian language, or Hawaiian language, or Alaskan language. We need just American, okay? Just American language. Nothing more, nothing less, just American. Also, like, with the, what is it, Saint Seraphim, there’s just a lot of fonts. You can’t get that with no Canadian language, with the little ching-chang-chongs. No, you can’t. All I can say is three words, John, and they vote. Yeah. Folks, I want you all to understand this. That person has the same one vote that you do. And if that doesn’t terrify you, nothing will.

I have several topics today along those lines, Andy, that would make you… All right, we’re going to get into the EU thing. Before we do that, though, because this is big news, so changing things to be a little more serious, yes, because we need to do this in light of the events of the New York shooting. Horrible. Yeah, absolutely awful. And, of course, the Democrats… I’m not going to skip a beat. Anytime anything like that happens, first thing out of any of their mouths, any of the folks on the left’s mouths, Kathy Hochul being one of them, is we now need to push for a countrywide assault weapon ban, Andy. That’s the answer.
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, I see. Okay. Yeah.
SPEAKER 05 :
That’ll fix everything. That’s going to fix it. That’s the answer, Andy.
SPEAKER 10 :
So the idea is to take the 99.9 or whatever percent of people who are lawful gun owners who are not committing these crimes and ban their rights to stop this person who doesn’t obey laws in the first place. Correct. I mean, for those who don’t understand, what this person just did is breaking the law. It’s called murder. Right. And it’s a horrifying thing. By the way, what a horrifying…
SPEAKER 05 :
act the way what this guy did i mean he was actually trying to do for those of you maybe they don’t know the full story he was he had this vendetta against the nfl so he went to their headquarter building somehow got on the wrong elevator which in those big high rises can happen because there’s you know the right some elevators only go a certain way up and so on well he got on the wrong elevator got off of that, you know, got off and then shot some people and so on, and shot a security guard on the way in, and just a nut job. I mean, I don’t know what to say. This guy is an absolute, utter nut job.
SPEAKER 10 :
But John, everything he did, obviously, was breaking the law, and obviously he was insane. So how does restricting all the rights of not insane people who obey the law, how does doing that stop him? Nothing.
SPEAKER 05 :
And as I stated yesterday, and not to make light of either one of these situations, but the mall or the Walmart stabbing where the guy was running around with a knife in the Walmart, you know, I asked yesterday, should we now outlaw knives? I mean, that’s how stupid that comment is. You didn’t see anybody on the left talking about outlawing knives. But when something like this happens, Andy, we’ve got to outlaw all assault weapons.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, whenever somebody plows a car into protesters or into just shoppers, people who are shopping, whatever, and they plow a car into them, okay, let’s outlaw cars. Folks, if somebody wants to kill, and let’s just say for a second, John, that we outlawed the weapon this guy used. That would be ludicrous. By the way, I think we need more of it. I think we needed people shooting back. Right. Okay? Right. That’s what we needed. It was fish in a barrel, folks. That’s the problem with what happened. There was fish in a barrel. Right. We need people taking this guy down fast. It didn’t happen. But setting that aside, okay? If we were to eliminate the weapon that this guy used, he simply would have done a bomb, a pipe bomb. This is somebody who wanted to kill a bunch of people.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, or Andy, there are plenty of other weapons that aren’t the quote-unquote, which I hate the term assault rifles because a hammer can be an assault weapon. So anyways, regardless, I hate that term. But anyways, even if you did somehow ban all of them, number one, banning them doesn’t get rid of them. No. It keeps you from buying new ones unless they do some sort of confiscation, which I know is what the left really wants to do. And they would love to come through and just confiscate every gun everybody has. But ultimately what they want to do, they chip away at this. They start, you know, one little thing, you know, one, you know. How do you eat a whale, Andy? You know, one bite or an elephant, you know, one bite at a time, basically. So that’s all they’re doing when it comes to gun control. One little bite, one little bite. Something, by the way, our side should learn, which we don’t. We want all or nothing. That’s a whole other topic.
SPEAKER 10 :
You know, I saw a really good video from Tulsi Gabbard, and she was just talking about how, you know, she’s from Hawaii. And she had somebody threatening her life. And this was while she was campaigning. So she gets into Congress. But they were threatening her life. And she went to the, I think it was the mayor or the governor there in Hawaii, I forget which, and said, hey, can I get a gun, a concealed carry permit? And the guy said, yes. To be honest, no, it’s going to be so incredibly difficult. The hoops jump through. You’re not going to really be. And she looked into it. She says he was right. There would be virtually no way I was going to be able to get a gun to protect myself. She said, now, fortunately for me, I got elected and therefore I had security details that were protecting me. She was like, well, what about for everybody else? And what she her point was this. They are making the laws so restrictive that they are basically taking away your guns and making it so you can’t defend yourself. Correct.
SPEAKER 05 :
Correct. Absolutely. No, it’s ridiculous. Again, we feel bad about the incident. But the way that the Democrats respond to this, you know, that old never let a crisis go to waste is what they do. Joe, go ahead.

John, I just want to point out that even if they were to get there, Ben, there there can never be enough. gun controls to satisfy them, because here’s what will happen. By the way, here’s a little for your listeners. Do you know what weapon was used in the most deadliest school shooting in American history?
SPEAKER 05 :
A bomb.
SPEAKER 03 :
No.
SPEAKER 05 :
A gasoline. Actually, it was a gas can.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, actually, if we’re talking firearms, Virginia Tech, a gunman armed with a 9mm and .22.
SPEAKER 05 :
Oh, yeah, firearm-wise, yes, yes, yes. Sorry, Joe.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes, that’s correct. He had a legally purchased 9mm .32. and a .22, he killed 31 people with two legally purchased pistols. Right. So here’s what would happen. Let’s say they get the assault weapons ban. Then somebody comes along with a couple of semi-automatic pistols, and Colorado essentially already wants to ban them.

Right.

Then they’re going to want to ban them. And then somebody comes along with a 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun loaded with double-aught buck, which, by the way, you can kill more people in 30 seconds with a 12-gauge shotgun pistol than you can with an AR-15. I mean, it’s just incredible, the firepower.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, Joe, really quick here. I mean, the biggest killing in American history was done with two jets.
SPEAKER 03 :
Two jets, right? Or if you take the Murrah Federal Building with some diesel fuel and fertilizer. But the point is there can never be enough gun control because it’s like squeezing a balloon. Okay, we’re going to ban this weapon. Okay, bad guy’s going to use a different one. Okay, we’re going to ban that weapon. We’ve got to ban that one. And it just keeps squeezing the balloon. Nice France guy drove his truck through a crowd of people during a Bastille, killed 86 people in 40 seconds with a truck. That’s one of 86 people in 40 seconds with his truck. So there can never be enough gun control, which is why you have to draw the line. You can’t give an inch because once they get the first inch, they’re going to want the second inch. Then they’re going to want the third inch and the fourth inch. And pretty soon you’re going to wind up in the U.K., where now they’re even banning knives. Literally, you can’t buy certain knives in the United Kingdom right now.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, Joe, what about the white guy who just, you know, we’ve all seen the video, who was beaten by, what was it, a dozen black people? Roughly.
SPEAKER 05 :
And there was even some others outside of him.
SPEAKER 10 :
And by the way, they’re going to get caught.
SPEAKER 05 :
I watched that yesterday. They will be going to prison.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay. Don’t you think he would have liked to have a weapon, a gun? At that time?
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, the great equalizer. I mean, if I’m going to go up against eight people, I’d like to have a gun. I might not even have to. By the way, there’s about two million defensive gun uses per year in this country, and the vast, vast majority of the gun is never fired. It’s merely the display of the gun is enough to stop the assault.
SPEAKER 05 :
I.e., the guy with the knife that the guy in the Walmart parking lot stopped.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, he simply pointed the gun at him, stopped, dropped it, and the guy started, instead of coming towards him to stab him, He began to back away from the guy with the gun. That’s exactly right. That froze it in its tracks. So we’ve got to fight. And by the way, Chuck Schumer said he followed Kathy Hochul. And then Hakeem Jeffries, he came up and said, you know, this we have to take it. The Congress has to take action. So they’re all it’s all piling on. It’s every time. It’s never let a crisis go to waste. And they’re all taking this.

Exactly right. You’re exactly right, Joe.

By the way, one last thing. If you were to eliminate all these deaths from assault weapons, it would be a rounding error. John, you know this. More people are killed with fists and feet than they are with rifles of all kinds. More people are choked to death than they are killed with assault rifles.

Poison, choked to death, car accidents, on down the line we go.

They’re a big defense contractor, Silicon Valley contractor. In fact, it sounds like they’re kind of tied in with our vice president. But they’re going to be capable of enacting monetary controls. if we get this digital currency.

And info is coming, and really quick, sources for all of this? Because, Jim, this is all news to me. I have not read, heard, seen anything along these lines whatsoever. So where’s all this info coming from, if I can ask?

It’s coming from the cloud, so it’s probably all BS, right?
SPEAKER 05 :
No, I’ve heard of the company. But I always ask because there’s a lot of hype that comes. I talk about this all the time from different social media outlets and different influencers and so on. So I always kind of wonder, okay, who’s the source? Where’s their source coming from? Where’s the actual facts behind all of this? Because I want to know, so as I talk about things on air, I’m accurate and not just throwing things around.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, you can look into Palantir. There’s presentations about it. There’s all kinds of interviews with the CEO.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, and that’s P-A-L-A-N-T-I-R, correct? You know, honestly, I don’t even know how it’s spelled.

I think that’s right.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, I’ve heard of them. They’re a tech company.

I think they might actually have an office in Denver. I’m not positive about that.

I’ll definitely do some research along those lines. I mean, I’ve heard of the company. I haven’t heard of some of the things that you’re talking about, but I definitely will be looking into that for sure, Jim.

Apparently it’s massive, massive data collection, and they’re talking about they will in the future have the capability of controlling or at least monitoring our spending as well as our search histories and compiling that information together and dealing with pre-crime.

Dealing with people on a pre-crime basis.

Yeah, and they’re downtown, 1217th Street. So they do have an office here.

I do know this, and I talk about this all the time. Are there multiple… sources of ways that they’re collecting data on us on an ongoing basis. Oh, yeah. Absolutely. I mean, I’ve said this many times. From the traffic cam, you know, them watching where you’re driving, what you’re driving, how you’re driving, and so on. I can go on down the line to all of the different things that – what was the one television show, Charlie, that Caviezel was in where he could tap into all of the – Person of interest. If you ever want to know kind of how that end of things works and looks like, and I don’t know how accurate that particular TV show was, but that really is explaining a lot of what I’m talking about.

I found the website, and I’ll do some looking into that. And there’s a lot. I’ll tell you this right now. Even when they talk about their offerings and their studies and capabilities and so on, yeah, it’s big. How will this actually all work? I am not sure. And I’m one of those two folks where I’ll mention this many times, like AI, for example. It’s a tool. It’s strictly a tool. Some people look at it differently than that, but I look at it as strictly a tool. And like with any tool, a hammer, a gun, a car, it can be used for great good or it can be used for great evil. It can be one or the other depending upon the person using it. Right. That’s the fear of what Andy was talking about a moment ago.

He is putting forth a whole new agenda, which is going to basically say he wants the homeless off the streets in all American cities. Now, obviously, that sounds pie in the sky, but what he’s saying is this. You cannot… go into free housing unless you pledge to get off of drugs. And we expect you to relapse, we understand, but you’re going to go through a process. So the idea is put people into these institutions to get them off of drugs, get them clean. We expect them to relapse. We expect to be problems. But right now, he said, they are human debris and they are just dying on the streets. And he wants to stop it.

Wow. Mike Johnston, are you listening to any of that? Well, he’d be against it. Because our mayor doesn’t have any idea how that works. No. He’s clueless.

All he wants to do is enable homelessness and enable street crime. What Trump has come out and said, this actually came out three or four days ago, and he said that what he wants is the street crime that is overrunning the cities in America today. And he’s not talking about gangs. He is talking about the homeless running rampant with the drugs. He wants to go after that.

All right, we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Myself, Andy Pate, Charlie Grimes, and the EU trade deal, which we talked about quite a bit yesterday. I mean, I went through a full segment, even a little bit over a segment yesterday, talking about the trade deal and really went through even what some of the opposers of it were talking about and just some of the knuckleheads that honestly have, Andy, no idea what they’re talking about. John, I want to list two things.
SPEAKER 10 :
There’s the Louisiana Purchase, Alaska. And that’s probably it for deals that have grossly favored the United States over the other country.
SPEAKER 05 :
Hawaii. Add that one in there as well. There was another country involved.
SPEAKER 10 :
This is bigger.
SPEAKER 05 :
You think?
SPEAKER 10 :
This EU deal, this was a mugging. This was an absolute obliteration. I’m going to be honest. These people who want to say, oh, this is a win-win. No. No, baby. This was not a win-win.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, I shouldn’t say losing. Here’s what I read. They are losing. Yeah, and here’s what I read along those lines, too, which I think this is accurate. I think the reason why some of the leaders on the EU side agreed to buy into this is they still understand that while they’re third in line, us, China, them, they understand that they would rather have us be in front versus China be in front. So if we’re going to make friends with anybody, it needs to be with the U.S. In other words, if we’re going to give in to anything at all, it better be the U.S., not China.
SPEAKER 10 :
John, I totally agree with that. Although the other big thing, of course, is the big… tariffs that were about to hit them. The bottom line is very simply this. They made this deal with a gun to their head. Okay? They made this deal with a gun to their head. This was a deal that way favored the United States. They’re going to give us, for those who, you know, just a reminder, they’re going to buy $750 billion, three quarters of a trillion dollars of our energy, not over the next 10 years, but just over three years. Three years. Do you know how much that is? That’s a ton. And by the way, that is terrible for both Russia and Canada. That hurts them big time. Secondly, they are going to invest $600 billion just into our industries. I assume the Trump administration will direct where that goes. And obviously, they’re also going to buy a lot of our weapons because they want to go from 2% to 5% of their GDP for their weaponry and for defense. Right. That is huge, too. We could be talking upwards of $2 trillion that they are paying us for the right to pay 15% tariff. No, we paid the tariff, folks. They’ve been eating the cost. These foreign companies have been eating virtually all the tariff costs, as was predicted on what show? Oh, yeah, this one. Okay, just saying. All right, they’ve been eating the cost. I don’t mind paying a tax if somebody else pays me to pay it. I’m very cool with that. Okay, I got a clip here from Laura Ingram, and she was talking about this deal and how other countries see it. Sound good? Go for it. Here we go.

Trump is showing the think tank crowd how America should operate on NATO military spending, on the border, and now on trade. The Europeans are finally forced to pay and play fair for access to our markets, which means, of course, they’re not happy. National Review’s headline says it all. Europeans on the Trump trade deal? He nailed us. The French prime minister called the deal a dark day. Hungarian President Viktor Orban was fuming at how the EU was represented in the talks, saying it was Donald Trump eating Ursula von der Leyen for breakfast. Journalist David Keating in Belgium was disgusted, saying the EU’s trade war surrender follows the humiliating spectacle of NATO leaders genuflecting to Trump. Then a political correspondent in Ireland, Gavin Riley, grumbled, the capitulation narrative on the US-EU deal is correct. But I’m telling you tonight, the truth is, it’s not about capitulating. It’s kind of fun to say that. But Ursula von der Leyen is smart, and she got the best deal she could with Donald Trump and his team across the table. Let’s be clear what happened here. The same European negotiators who ran circles around the American presidents like Bush, Obama, and Biden for years, they finally faced real negotiators in Donald Trump and his team. We had Scott Besson, Howard Lutnick, and Jameson Greer. All sharp, all supremely successful, all experienced. Well, who did Biden have negotiating? Well, Gina Raimondo. Janet Yellen? Dealing with NATO? We have Vance and Rubio. Who did they have? Tony Blinken! The changes depends when he was meeting with the Chinese leaders. And Obama.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay, she goes off. But this is… Look, they had a gun to their head. I agree. She made the best deal she could. She had no choice. She was in a bad way. My wife had a great line. She said after this, she said, Europeans might have to get jobs to pay for this. I mean, John, my gosh, they could return the 40-hour work week. This is like slavery for them. I mean, because you’ve got to think, how are they going to pay for all this? And you know what? Not our problem. Because they’ve been robbing us blind.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, they shouldn’t have been our problem from the get-go because you’re right. They have been robbing us blind. It’s ridiculous.
SPEAKER 10 :
People, what blows my mind, John, is that Americans are still not happy. You know, Trump is like 11, 12 points underwater on his handling of the economy. Americans, I’m going to just say it. Are they just that clueless? To all of you listening, I’m sorry. Our loyal listeners, I’m not talking about you, okay? But I’m talking about America as a whole. You’re stupid. Yes. You’re stupid. Are you out of your mind? This guy’s bringing in trillions of dollars. You know what? There is going to be some inflation, not from the tariffs, but just from wage inflation. People are going to be making so much more money throughout the economy, John, that alone. But I don’t mind 4.5% inflation. If people are making 8% more, I couldn’t care less.
SPEAKER 05 :
It won’t even be that. No, no.
SPEAKER 10 :
I’m using exaggerated numbers here. Okay. No, no. It’s not going to happen because here’s what’s happening. People are eating. The foreign producers are eating these costs.
SPEAKER 05 :
You’re going to see – this is my prediction, and we haven’t been that wrong – really haven’t been wrong all along, even from the COVID days of when inflation was going up and Andy and I were saying that, no, it’s not transitory. You dodo heads figure this out faster than what you’re doing. Right. Mr. Fed Powell, Jerome Powell, get this figured out faster, which he did not do. We’re saying now that rates need to come down. I predict that when it’s all said and done, you get the economy cranked up, get some things back in the housing end of things and so on. You’re actually going to see inflation back to the rates that we had under Trump’s first presidency, which were in the high ones. We had inflation under Donald Trump at like 1.5%, 1.6% was all.
SPEAKER 10 :
It’s possible. I don’t know if it’ll go quite that low, but not for bad reasons.
SPEAKER 05 :
It’s only a point lower than it is now, Andy.
SPEAKER 10 :
Not that big a deal. I know, I know. I’m just wondering if it’ll be able to go lower with all the booming economic activity he’s creating. Well, yeah, because when you— I’m talking in a good way.
SPEAKER 05 :
And the good thing is when you create more supply of things— True. And there’s more of them and there’s more choices. Cost goes down. The costs go down. That’s what I’m talking about. I think that’s what Trump’s looking at when it’s all said and done. Sure. When you minimize things and you make it to where there’s less of something, which, by the way, is what Democrats always love. Well, that creates inflation, Andy, other than then they print more money and that drives it up even farther. It’s a double whammy, which is exactly what we had under Joe Biden.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, you know, can I give a quick explanation I gave online for a couple people? Because they were saying, wait, we’re going to have to pay the tariff. We’re going to have to pay the tariff. And I gave them a quick explanation why that’s not happening. I’m saying, first of all, the tariffs have already been out there, and you have seen no inflation. Why do you think that is? And so I explained, here’s why it is. Imagine that you’re buying a widget, okay, and you can buy it from America or country A. Or country B, we’ll say, country B. Well, in the past, country B has had some massive advantages, really three of them. First of all, huge imbalances in the tariffs, right? Secondly, labor, of course. And third, environmental standards. They had virtually none. Correct. Okay, so because of those things, they had a huge advantage. And let’s say it cost us $10 to make that widget, and it cost them only $5 to make that widget, which, by the way, might be more like $4 or $3. But let’s say $5. Okay, so to make a profit, we charge $12 for the widget. Do you think that they’re going to charge $10 for the widget? No. But they’re going to charge about $9. Okay, so they charge $9 for the widget. We charge $10. They undersell us. They get the business, and they still double our profit per widget. See, because they’re making $4 per widget, we’re making… too okay now trump understood that they had inflated prices going into all this that’s exactly because of the situation that was happening beforehand so as a result john as you’ve been saying on this show over and over for the last year they are going to be able to eat the cost why because they’re going to eat the cost out of their inflated uh profit margin that they already had right they don’t want to suddenly have americans just buying american goods so they’re going to eat either all or a good portion of the tariff. So you could look at it and say, well, I got to pay a 15% tariff on this widget.
SPEAKER 05 :
And remember, that’s at the very cost of the item. Something else that the news media doesn’t do. In fact, we don’t as a party do a very good job of explaining that. It’s always at the cost of that item coming to the U.S., not what you’re buying it for. Thank you.

So what is happening? Are they eating it? Yes. I mean, do you pay it directly? Yeah, sure, you pay the 15%, but they’re charging that much less for the widget. Right. Okay? They’re pulling it out. Why? They don’t want to lose the sales, and they can afford to because they were already way ahead in profit margin.
SPEAKER 05 :
And the other thing, and Scott Garlis talks about this a lot. He and I have talked about this a lot on Wednesdays, whereby, keep in mind, all of those things that are imported in, they’re not homegrown, meaning there’s transportation costs to getting all of those goods to the American market. And when you can take fuel and lower it a dollar a gallon, which is essentially what’s happened underneath Donald Trump, your transportation costs also go down. So now can they absorb some of those costs as Andy’s talking about? They absolutely can because their transportation costs also went down.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yes. And so let me sum it up with this, John. In my opinion, if Trump makes any more deals like this, We might have to start thinking of a fifth head at Rushmore with a lot of stone for the hair. This is incredible. What he is doing is beyond belief. Remember when he first did Independence Day, we had Jordan on. What is the thing I said to Jordan? I said, Jordan. How does this not work well for us? We have all the leverage. We have the first president who understands we have all the leverage.
SPEAKER 05 :
We’re the biggest buyer.
SPEAKER 10 :
How do these deals not work out way in our favor? And Jordan was skeptical. That’s okay. He’s a careful guy. I get that. But it’s like, how does this not work out way in our favor? It seemed to me like it was inevitable.
SPEAKER 05 :
Great example, by the way, and a lot of you go there on a probably not daily basis. Some might, but most people go on either a weekly or monthly basis, depending upon what your buying habits are like. So anybody that doesn’t believe what we’re saying, just go visit a Costco or a Sam’s Club, and you’ll figure out really quickly that all Donald Trump is doing is what Costco and Sam’s does on a regular daily basis. Yep. That’s all he’s doing. All he’s doing is what they’re doing, folks. It’s no different.
SPEAKER 10 :
Bottom line, Europe just paid. When you throw in the military purchases, Europe just paid probably upwards of $2 trillion for the right to eat the costs on 15% tariffs to help pay down our debts and totally open their markets to where we sell everything there for no tariff whatsoever. That is the most one-sided deal I’ve ever seen in my life.
SPEAKER 05 :
Absolutely. And you’re going to see the strength of, I’ve read all sorts of things online, by the way, that talk opposite of what Andy and I are talking about. Trust me, just watch and see what happens. You’re going to see the strength of the country, the economy, the dollar on down the line we go. You’re going to see a lot of that improve in literally the next six to 12 months. And it’s going to be phenomenal when it’s all said and done. And all the deals aren’t done yet. But here’s what’s happening, folks. As you get countries like Japan and now Europe and you get even other countries, you know, Vietnam and India and so on, when they start coming to the table, it won’t be long before China – and they’re working on China’s deal right now, by the way. We talked about that in the news today. So reality is these things are going to get done. And the countries that are outstanding – I’m going to talk about this when we come back because there’s something I was reading today about Canada and Mexico that most people haven’t heard and I didn’t hear about it until this morning – you’re going to find countries like Canada and Mexico who are basically holding out, I think, to the end, really being out in left field, and it is not going to work out to their advantage when it’s all said and done. All right, we are back, myself and Andy, and this is a story I read this morning, and I hadn’t seen anything about this. This has not been talked about in very many outlets at all, which you kind of wonder, okay, is this really true? But I started doing some investigative work, and yes, it in fact is. is true although i have no idea how they’re going to put this together canada and mexico both and there’s all sorts of the liberal left that are out there that are you know basically congratulating canada and mexico on this particular agreement they are creating their own trade agreement and trade corridor that supposedly could cost the u.s 245 billion dollars now let me explain Canada and Mexico, this is actually coming out of a Toronto publication. This is the torontolatinos.com. Canada and Mexico are preparing to launch a bold new trade initiative that could reshape North America commerce and significantly impact the U.S. economy. No, it won’t. That’s my words, not theirs. As reported by PPR Mundale, the two countries are finalizing a plan to create a joint land and sea trade corridor that bypasses the United States entirely, aiming to reduce transshipment tariffs and taxes while increasing efficiency and economic cooperation. Now, first thing I was looking at.

Land? How did they do land?
SPEAKER 05 :
I had to double check myself just to make sure that, Andy, I wasn’t missing anything. I wanted to make sure there wasn’t any little strip of land somewhere between Mexico and Canada that I was missing, that I had forgotten about.

I was just wondering, is my geography off? I’m just kind of wondering.
SPEAKER 05 :
Trying to figure out if the Mississippi River was now controlled by, you know, I’m going through all of these things. I got the map and I’m like, OK, maybe I missed something. All of these years, I didn’t know and I was mistaken that there was a sliver of land somewhere that either Canada or Mexico owned that went from Canada to Mexico. And Andy, I couldn’t find it. So it’s not the Mississippi-Otoba? I’m trying to figure out. They’re talking about a land-sea venture that would bypass the U.S., and I’m thinking, okay, wait a minute. We own all of the land, and to a certain extent, outside of our coastline, there’s a certain amount of that that we also own. So how are they – it’s a long trip from going from Mexico – All the way up, whether you’re talking about the Pacific side or the Atlantic side. And I keep thinking to myself, okay, this is great to come up with this idea, but how are you going to make this work?
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, there’s a lot of problems with this. First of all, of course, you can’t do the land. And secondly, for shipping for sea, you’re going to have to ship wide around our waters. And thirdly, here’s the biggest problem. Neither one of them is nearly as big a buyer as we are. Okay, I mean, you’re bypassing the biggest customer by far. So how is that going to make you tons and tons and oodles of money if you are spending a lot more money to bypass your biggest customer?
SPEAKER 05 :
They’re dubbing this the North Belt. The corridor is projected to be fully operational by 2028. Folks, that’s in two years. There’s just no way, and they’re talking about high-speed rail and all sorts of other things to make this thing work. Folks, this isn’t – I’m sorry to say, and I’m – Rail? I’m not trying to be rude here. Please don’t think this – for some of you that have even immigrated here from either country, I’m not trying to be rude. But the ingenuity – Of either country, and getting these things done isn’t there, folks. I’m sorry, but it’s not there, Andy. Have you been to either Canada or Mexico? It’s not there. They don’t have the same capabilities, even infrastructure-wise, to what we have here. This, folks, is a pipe dream. Oh, yeah. Not going to happen. Right. It’s a pipe dream. sorry and now there’s social media accounts and others out there ranting and raving about how great this is this is just going to undermine trump and you know bet you know orange hair bet you know bet you know orange orange man bad blah blah blah all of this is doing is just sticking you know poking trump in the eye and etc etc you’re going to see all sorts of lefties jump on board thinking this is the greatest thing since sliced bread and here’s the other thing even if this does come to fruition They figure that this will cost the U.S. $245 billion over five years. In other words, that’s about $70 billion a year. Folks, do you realize right now, currently, what the tariffs alone are bringing in far surpasses, even if this does work. I don’t think it will.

It’s about $50 billion a year, actually, but go ahead.
SPEAKER 05 :
Even if, no, currently, we’re…
SPEAKER 10 :
No, 245 over five years. It’s 49 years.
SPEAKER 05 :
And they broke it down and said 69 billion in lost tax revenue, 17 in indirect tax revenue. Bottom line, here’s the reality. It doesn’t even matter what the numbers are. Because even if this does work and we lose this, not going to happen, but let’s just say that it does. What Trump is doing right now and what he just did with the EU, just the $750 billion they’ve agreed to buy from us in liquefied natural gas, this is a nose wipe. I mean, this is nothing at the end of the day, Andy.
SPEAKER 10 :
Obviously.
SPEAKER 05 :
And this isn’t going to happen, but even if it did, it’s a non-issue.
SPEAKER 10 :
John, look, I understand when you go to Canada, sorry, when you go to Mexico, you go to the resorts. You go to the really nice part of Mexico. But I want you to do me a favor. Take a step back and look at Mexico as a whole. It’s a rat hole. Okay, now I want you to do this.
SPEAKER 05 :
I’m sorry, but it is.
SPEAKER 10 :
I want you to do this. I want you to look at Canada and say you are going to go from having the United States as your customer to having Mexico as your customer. You tell me that’s going to be profitable.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, furthermore, and I was going to comment on some things today and have decided not to. I just talk about it on air.

Okay.
SPEAKER 05 :
Keep in mind that the other thing I think Canada is forgetting is while they’re dealing with the heads of Mexico, they’re not dealing with the right heads of Mexico because the cartels, anybody that has any knowledge at all of how Mexico works understands that you’re talking to the wrong folk. If you really want to get something done, you better be talking to all of the families in the cartels because they’re the ones that really run the country.

Well, kind of so is Oregon and Washington. Exactly. So maybe that’s their thought process. That’s their corridor. They’re going to make a deal with California, Washington, and Oregon, and they’re going to run their own little transport up from Mexico into Canada that way. Maybe that’s their thought process. Sure. It’s the dumbest thing, folks. Again, all sorts of lefties out there ramped up over this thing, or amped up, I should say, over this thing, thinking that, yep, this is just going to poke Donald Trump in the eye. He’s not as smart as he thinks. These two countries are just going to bypass him. Yeah, no, they’re not, because this isn’t going to work, folks.
