And after we had our conversation Friday about Saturday and both Friday and Saturday about getting ready, organizing, all that kind of stuff. Hope you had a good weekend. I still get text messages from folks over the weekend. letting me know some of the things that they’re doing. So hopefully you had a great weekend. Possible question for Friday. What was the first fully computer animated movie? I think, I’m not sure if Andy said this on air or not. Toy Story. Toy Story is the answer. Andy had that one right. Makes total sense. And then today’s impossible question of the day. March 10th, 1876, the first discernible speech was transmitted over a telephone system by inventor Alexander Graham Bell. What did he say? Most of you should probably get this one right. Pretty easily, but give him a little clue. And let’s just say that he was talking to Mr. Watson is your clue. So there’s your clue for what was said. You may not even know what kind of gold or quality it is, but anything silver, gold, platinum, anything that looks expensive when it comes to jewelry. And here’s something else that’s kind of a – Probably a little tip. It could be as gaudy as all get out. You may look at that piece and think, who in their right mind would have ever bought and then worn this? And surprisingly enough, those can be some of the pieces that are worth the most money. So you may look at it and think, no one in their right mind would ever wear this. That doesn’t mean anything. The value of that piece could still be high depending upon, A, what is it? What’s it made of? When was it made? Who made it? All those sorts of things. And just because something is not attractive to us doesn’t mean that it’s not valuable. I’ll be the first to tell you there’s some art pieces and things like that that bring all sorts of money that I look at and think, I wouldn’t hang that in my bathroom, nonetheless, anywhere else in the house, and yet they bring millions of dollars. So don’t let what it looks like fool you or confuse you. And my advice is even if you think this is just costume jewelry, and it may be, you may be right, but you know what? Put it all in the same bag, baggy box, you know, suitcase, whatever you need to do to transport this stuff down to Mile High Coin. Just bring it all down. And at that point in time, you determine that, yep, this is just junk. Okay, well, you guys can make that decision. At least you’ve had somebody that really understands the business make that decision and help you versus throwing something out. We always hear those stories, you know. something gets thrown out, somebody finds it in the trash, it ends up being worth all sorts of money, don’t be that person. Go through some of those pieces first and make sure that they, you know, that you’re not throwing away something of real value. That’s the biggest thing you got to make sure of is that you’re not throwing anything away that’s got value to it. And again, if you think it has value, don’t toss it away. You know, have them take a peek at it first and value it. And then in some cases, you know, the piece itself might not be valuable, but the just what it’s made out of the gold itself you know depending upon the size of the ring and some of the rings of old could get pretty sizable and depending upon the size of the ring you know that that gold class ring for example might be worth more money than you think keep in mind mind an ounce of gold right now is over three thousand dollars an ounce so you know it doesn’t take long to build up some value when this is all said and done so bottom line before you go through anything at all and think about tossing something donating it giving it away something along those lines have it appraised first and then you can make decisions on what do i want to do with these pieces how do i want to handle this and then something else somebody asked me the other day this was outside of the show somebody asked hey Let’s say I decide to take all of my miscellaneous stuff and just either A, turn it into cash, or does David have the ability to sell me some gold back where I could just then keep that piece and have the value of the gold itself with nothing else? Yes. Whatever you decide to do, you can split that up into some gold and some silver. He’s got the ability to help you with all of that. So first things first, get it all rounded up, call him on the phone, make an appointment, take it all down to him, have it all appraised, which is free, by the way. All right, we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Again, thank you all for joining us. I appreciate it very much. I’ll get the text line handled here in a moment when I get to the next break. So thank you for texting. Continue to do that. And I’ll try to get those questions answered as quickly as I can. So Trump met with Putin. We were talking about that on Friday when Andy and I were on air. That meeting was starting at about the time we were coming on air. And this is where my advice to everybody is. Be careful of all of the quote-unquote pundits, especially those that are on the left, that basically say, oh, yeah, nothing came out of this. All talk, no action. You know, give me a break, people. Give me a break. Here’s the other thing. You have no idea it was discussed, and anybody that says they know doesn’t, because this is national security type stuff, and if anybody leaks that sort of thing out, that’s very treasonous, so they would be taken care of on that end of things. So you’re not going to hear anything along those lines, and rightfully so. They shouldn’t. Second of all, outside of that, it’s pure speculation as to what was talked about. Yeah, there’s been a few things that Trump himself has talked about in regards to it. But here’s what I know enough or what I know about Trump and you all do, too. You have no idea what they actually talked about and what the next play is. Trump could have very well come up with a preliminary agreement with Putin that he now has to say, listen, you know what, that’s not a bad idea. We might be able to get that run through. I need to run that up the flagpole with, you know, Ukraine, of course. I got to make sure that, you know, they’re going to be on board with this. I can’t make any announcements at this point. You know, we have to have some conversation. And this is the way this works. This isn’t going to happen overnight. I think the one thing that’s disappointing is there was no ceasefire that came out of that. But once again, we don’t know what was discussed. So I’ve seen all sorts of posts out there from those on the left, those on the right, not much in the middle. Mostly it’s one or the other. The left accusing Trump of basically this was a nothing burger. Those on the right, you know, retaliating, which, again, the best thing to do in this case is just be patient. Let time go by and see exactly what develops when it’s all said and done. That’s the best thing. That’s the best answer, I guess, is what I should say. Now, I did read a nice tweet today that I think Richard had sent me this, and I think this is a decent synopsis of kind of what was happening. And this is coming from a lady, Jackie… Heinrich, I believe, is her name. I think I’m saying that correctly on X. I just got off the phone with a source involved in the pre-meeting with Zelensky at the Ukrainian embassy this morning. So this is a pre-meeting with Zelensky. This isn’t with Putin. This is, you know, going up the, again, running this up the flagpole. I’m told there’s no expectation that today wraps up with a date on the calendar for a trilateral summit, but today would be a success if Zelensky has a realistic discussion about territorial concessions. Two, nobody expects Zelensky to take Putin’s first version of the map back to his country, but he needs to talk about what he can let go and what is critical to keep. Getting clarity on security guarantees and what that looks like will make it easier for Zielinski to sell that back home. Some of the things that Andy and I, by the way, have been talking about. Security on our part, by the way. Asked about what that means for the timeline, I’m told that the U.S. feels there is political energy behind this, a light at the end of the tunnel, and wants to get it done now, but knows it won’t be instant, more like weeks, not months. And Ukraine understands this. Number three, U.S. and Europeans have gently made suggestions on territory, but they’re also aware that Zelensky has to take this back and massage it through, or message it, I should say, massage it and message it through his own system. Got to come back with a counteroffer. I asked how Zelensky is approaching that, given Ukraine’s constitutional requirement of a national referendum for territorial changes. I’m told that the general attitude is that it’s a you problem, as in it’s up to Zelensky to figure out how to handle this. Oh, it says O territories, I should say. Not one, but O territory with minerals being under Russian control. Basically, if America has a stake in the land, it’s a security in and of itself. It’s in their best interest to make that work. Again, similar things to what Andy and I have been talking about. Number four. Europeans believe that security guarantees are a very big deal and want to protect and preserve it, which is part of why they are all eager to be here today. They also want to help Zelensky manage his high wire act because the risk factor for Zelensky putting his foot in his mouth is significant. Yeah, you guys hear me talk about that constantly. Zelensky’s, sorry, he’s just a putz. The guy doesn’t know when to shut up, when to talk, what to say. He definitely is not, I say it a lot and I mean it, he’s not the smartest guy in any room at any given time. He’s the dumbest guy in the room at any given time. And sorry, I don’t know how else to say it, but he just is. He’s just not a very bright individual. So, yes, he needs to be monitored and managed when it comes to these things to make sure that he doesn’t say something that he shouldn’t, i.e., like he was in the when he was in the White House arguing with J.D. Vance and Donald Trump. Number five, the discussion on security guarantees won’t produce full security plans today, but they want clear next steps to work on, a commitment in principle from the coalition of the willing, the U.S. hammering out alongside, I should say, Ukraine’s. Some awareness that the U.S. should legislate this, making sure it lasts into future administrations. Also, the White House sees Putin’s acceptance of security guarantees as important. Their attitude is now we have to put more meat on the bone. Today is most important. This is number six. It’s most important to demonstrate unity between Europeans, U.S., and Ukraine. That would define success. Neither Ukrainians or Americans want today to fail. Now, that part, outside of everything I’ve read, That one makes the most sense of all the things I’ve read today. Because it really does sum up, I think, where things are at in regards to Ukraine putting a deal together with Russia. And we’ve said this many times. I saw some posts today on Facebook that basically said that it would be criminal if Ukraine were to do anything to… to give up any kind of territory when this is all said and done, that that would just be wrong, that anybody that is a U.S. citizen, you know, siding on that side of things is wrong. By the way, these are people that are clueless in how you negotiate things and never have probably. Most doubt it. How do I want to say this? They’re the kind of people that I doubt have even negotiated with their own kids. They have no idea how this works. And these are people from our side, by the way. So I want to make sure I’m clear on that. These are people from our side. And I’m not, you know, be careful. I hate to say people are not very bright when they might be. But people that say things like that and put it out publicly on social media aren’t very bright. They’re just not. Because saying those things kind of gives your IQ in and of itself before anything else is even said. They’re going to give up some land. You’re not going to get this deal done no matter what. You know, Russia wants more of a buffer. The only way to get that is to take some of the land that they now occupy in Ukraine. No, Ukraine doesn’t want to give up any of its land. But the reality is most of that land has been occupied by a lot of folks that are more on the Russian sides of things than they actually are on the Ukraine sides of things anyways. So at the end of the day, as long as you don’t give up any of your minerals and things like that, you keep control of your ports, the things that you need to make things function as a country, so what? It’s the best case scenario for Ukraine. Now, I agree with everything here that that has to be sold properly and messaged properly inside of Ukraine to get that sold, because, yes, they’ll have to have some sort of a vote and then make that happen because they’re, quote unquote, getting rid of some land. But the alternative, and this is what needs to be messaged, either give up some land now, get rid of this war, this burdensome war, by the way, that’s taking its toll upon everything in your country, from your own people, people dying, infrastructure getting damaged mean the cost just continue to balloon and balloon by keeping this thing going at some point you have to decide I’m gonna give up something to gain something that’s called peace and I know that Uncle Sam’s gonna be here to watch over that to make sure that the peace does happen, because to get that peace, we’re going to agree, because they’ve helped us out so much through all of this, we’re going to agree to some rare earth minerals and some natural resources, by the way, that we have that will make sure that they’re here. And knowing that they’re here, Russia knowing that they’re here, I mean, means that we have a lot less risk when it’s all said and done of them doing something like this in the future. Now, the other thing that I’ve seen the left talk about is the the whole, you know, the stealth bomber and fighter jets flying over as Putin was arriving. And, you know, all of the pomp and circumstance on the red carpet and the left saying something to the effect that, oh, that just shows that, you know, Trump’s got or, you know, Putin’s got Trump in his back pocket. By the way, those of you that are on the left, it would say that you’re as dumb as those people on the right saying Ukraine shouldn’t give up any land. You’re both stupid. That was simply Trump telling Putin, you know, look up above. You see that? No matter what, we have the ability to do whatever we need to do when it comes to you and your country. So I would best tread lightly moving forward if I were you. That was the message that having that flyover said to Russia, not the opposite. Any of you that are on the left that think opposite of that, you’re as dumb as a rock. You have no idea what you’re talking about. You have Trump derangement syndrome and you have no idea how to look at things correctly if you think otherwise. That was simply a show of force of what the U.S. can do militarily speaking to Russia and not saying that that would be fun to do and that we would want to go that direction. But that was a message sent to Russia that, yeah, you know what, you might be a big dog. The reality is we’re a much bigger dog. In fact, we’re not even in the dog category. You’re a dog. We’re a lion. We’re a tiger. At the end of the day, you’re no match. You might be the big dog in this particular scenario when it comes to you and Ukraine, but at the end of the day, you’re no match for what we have going on. You know, technologically speaking, fighting force, et cetera. You may think that you are Mr. Putin, but at the end of the day, we are still the strongest guys on the block. And if you don’t believe me, just look at what happened to Iran here just a few weeks ago. That was the message, by the way, that was sent with that flyover. And whoever orchestrated that, if that was Trump’s idea, congratulations. If that was somebody in staff, you know, joint chiefs, whoever. I mean, whoever’s idea that was to have that happen at that, good job. Oh, Charlie said timing was perfect. Yes, it absolutely was. Again, whoever did that, and those things don’t happen, by the way, easily. It’s like the timing of a flyover at a ball game, you know, National Anthem, when the end is playing and the flyover happens, that is timed all the way down to the nanosecond. Whoever did this in that particular scenario did the exact same thing. And, again, just shows you the force that we have, the intellect that we have, and the ability to coordinate things beyond any other country out there. And that’s what was shown to Putin that day. Now, what’s going to happen next, folks? I have no idea. As I said, as I opened up this particular segment, I don’t have a crystal ball. I have no idea. And by the way, neither does anybody else. But this last post I just read you on X, I think really summed up things well when it comes to Ukraine. Because I guarantee you, one thing I think I can guarantee is the conversation between Putin and Trump was, how much land do I get? If we’re going to get this thing over, I want some land. I want a buffer. I want more between me and Europe. How are we going to get this deal done at the end of the day? That, I’m pretty sure, was one of the conversations that they most likely had. Somebody did ask, hey, what kind of a guarantee do I have if I drop off a bunch of stuff with David Gonzalez? First of all, you’re going to drop things off with him and have an initial meeting with him to determine the basic value of a lot of the things that you have. The only time you’re going to leave something with him… would be if he needs to bring in some other experts and so on. And if that ends up being the case, then you’ll get a receipt of whatever you have dropped off. He is not going to run off with anything. He is totally bonded, insured, all of that. Well, John, I want to take back and present to people that, you know, with Trump’s kind of involvement in this, he’s already blown it, meaning we’re only now hoping for a less than worse expected outcome. Zelensky and little Ukraine and this country that could never defend itself against powers like ours or Russia’s is somehow holding the cards that if they refuse to give land to You fill in the blank. What, the United States goes to war?
SPEAKER 09 :
No, I think actually, Marty, it would be quite the opposite, Marty. And by the way, I don’t like your terminology and what you’re using here. I don’t like Ukraine. I don’t like Russia. I’ve said that from day one. But your terminology is way off. got to realize that Putin started all of this. He has admitted that he wouldn’t have started this had Trump been in office. He wouldn’t have started that. He just got done saying that. So if you want to go argue with Putin, Marty, be my guest. He’s the one that said that. So this is on Russia. This isn’t on anyone else. Now, I’m not saying that. And I’ve said this numerous times. I’m not saying that Ukraine is, you know, scot-free any way, shape or form, that there’s some sort of innocence in all of this. But it is what it is. Now, here’s where I think it’s coming into play. What you think you think that if they don’t agree to give up land, it’s going to be an all out war against Russia and we’re somehow involved. Nope. I will tell you right now, it is exactly the opposite of this. Trump is over there right now saying, listen, guys, you got a deal. It’s on the table. And guess what? If you don’t take this deal, we’re done. And you’re fighting this battle on your own. You and Europe are going to be on your own.

I don’t believe that. Oh, I don’t believe that. When he first met with Zelensky in the White House, I would have believed you. Look at how aggressively against Russia Trump’s verbiage has changed. Of course, Marty, because you Marty.

OK, let me ask you a question. Have you ever been in any kind of negotiations like this with anybody, any way, shape or form, whether it be a lease with your landlord, whether it be with a customer, whether it be with a vendor? Have you ever done anything like this? And I’m asking seriously, and I’m not trying to be rude. I’m literally, Marty, I’m asking you and a lot of people that feel the way you do. Have you ever been in these kind of negotiations ever?

OK, then let me then let me then let me let me I have on many levels. Let me tell you how this works. You have to show your strength to be able to get a deal done, because if people don’t think that you’re real and that you’re you’re serious about what’s going on, they won’t agree to the deal. That’s what Trump has done with Ukraine over the past couple of months. That’s simply it. Nothing more.

Why is Ukraine holding even an ounce, though?
SPEAKER 09 :
Because it’s their land, Marty. They own the land. That would be like me living next door to you, Marty, all of a sudden starting a turf war. I’m trying to take over half of your backyard. I started it. You didn’t. Do you not have rights to your land that you own? Absolutely. Okay, so how is this any different, Marty?
SPEAKER 04 :
Because the people of Crimea, the people of the Donbass, they had a referendum to leave Ukraine. They didn’t want anything to do with it. And if you go back to the regime change… But Marty, you’re going back in time.
SPEAKER 09 :
It doesn’t matter. Right now, it’s Ukraine’s land. Correct or not? Fair, yes. Okay, so at the end of the day, all of that other stuff, this is where when you start negotiating things, you have to put everything into perspective. It doesn’t matter what’s happened. It is what it is today is what you have to work off of. It doesn’t matter.
SPEAKER 04 :
Right. But we’re having to finance and pay attention to this thing. And that’s the point of he blew it. Because back when he took office, Zelensky should have been on his knees. But Zelensky, see, he can’t let the war end. You understand that, right? This has to continue for him. The day the war is over and their martial law is over, Zelensky is either out of the country or killed. I agree.
SPEAKER 09 :
Marty, I will not argue. I’m not going to argue with you. One, I owe it on that. You’ve heard me talk about Zelensky, how I think he’s the dumbest man in any room that he enters. The guy is absolutely an utter moron. I will agree with you 100 percent. But that doesn’t change everything else I just said.
SPEAKER 04 :
So would we dare spend another taxpayer dime that could be feeding the homeless, could be saving the inner city? It’s going to go to fund the little Jewish rat, Zelensky?
SPEAKER 09 :
No, what is funding, Marty, is at the end of the day. No, no, no. At the end of the day, trust me, Trump’s not stupid. At the end of the day, we will end up getting other types of resources, you know, precious metals, etc., out of that area when it’s all said and done that we wouldn’t have gotten any other way. And at the end of the day, we’ll get paid. It’s going to take time. We’re not going to get all that money back tomorrow, but over time we will.
SPEAKER 04 :
And the other side of that is that it permanently puts you in a relationship with the documented most corrupt country in Europe, which is Ukraine. So what?
SPEAKER 09 :
No offense, Marty. We have agreements with lots of documented countries along those lines, including the ones to the south of us. No offense, going back on that analogy, how does that change any of the relationship we have with Mexico, by the way? Because they’re no different.
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, it’s twofold. It’s a corrupt country, and then you’re also permanently on the border of Russia. Why would you seek that out?
SPEAKER 09 :
Because you want the resources, Marty, because you want the resources that they have. That’s why. And they’re vast. The resources, the minerals that they have are vast, and they are worth us having as a nation. Absolutely. Okay.
SPEAKER 04 :
OK, then they’re all ours or we’re out tonight. You understand we’re the ones that call all the shots. We can’t have all your resources. Then let Russia have you over.
SPEAKER 09 :
And I believe what you’re saying right now, Marty, is what I believe those conversations that most likely are happening not only with Ukraine, but with Europe, where Trump is basically saying, listen, guys, at the end of the day. Here’s how this will end up working if you’re not careful. If you don’t agree to do what what he wants to do, what what Putin wants to do, you got to give up some land. He wants a buffer. And by the way, if you don’t agree to go along those lines, here’s what’s going to happen. Putin’s going to end up with all of it. And I’ll make a deal with Putin for those minerals. And at the end of the day, we as a country are still going to get what we want at the end of the day. So I would highly suggest you guys take this deal, because guess what? If you don’t, we’re done.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay, and that’s well said, and that’s exactly how you and I would handle this situation. The problem is, and I guess you can defer this to public negotiations, the verbiage and the wording, and you know the pressure in the Trump, around Trump, is to stay in the war, at least from the Senate, from the House, don’t get out of this war.
SPEAKER 09 :
That’s not Trump’s mindset. Trump’s mindset’s like mine and yours. He wants out of it. He wants to concentrate on things back home. He wants to concentrate on the next Fed chair and getting our interest rates down and getting things handled here more so than he wants to be dinking around there.

But why wouldn’t he just say, then, you know what, I’ve met with Russia, I’ve met with Ukraine, I’m on Russia’s side for this. Party’s over. Because you can’t, Marty.
SPEAKER 09 :
Number one, that ruins all of your negotiating power that you have with Ukraine right now if you end up doing that. Trust me, Trump understands the art of the deal better than anyone. He’ll get the deal done. I’m not worried about that.
SPEAKER 04 :
This negotiation, John, we’re like negotiating it ourselves because we’re spending money to be a participant in a voluntary effort. If Ukraine becomes Russia, your life does not change one ounce. Marty, my life won’t change one ounce.

No matter whether Russia gets a sliver, whether they take the whole thing, whether Ukraine doesn’t end up doing anything whatsoever. I mean, at the end of the day, Marty, my life won’t change now, depending upon how this all works and what kind of precious metals and other resources we end up getting. It could affect my future generations that will be here long after me. That’s probably more of what we should talk about. You and I together, I would agree with you. No matter what happens, it’s not going to change one iota for the person on the street right now. road yeah and i guess i would just argue what happens once trump’s gone what happens once well that’s where you heard my you heard me talking about that last expose that was put out which i think was very well said not only do they have to get this deal done with ukraine and russia but then we need something solidified whereby the next president can’t come in and unwind this

Russia’s not going to increase its aggression, but they’re going to preserve what they’ve taken and want to keep. But there is no way, because Zelensky is backed by way more global money than Russia is. There is no way they’re going to say, yeah, lay down, give them the Crimea. You can go into retirement. There’s no way. This war is not ending unless we’re all now involved as an act of escalated hostility. This is the Trump we envision.

John, if I had Trump here, and he likes to make deals, Let’s look at the deals that the U.S. has made to avoid things like that. Well, A, we bought Alaska. A, we bought the Louisiana Purchase. We attained for a long time the Philippines. Now we own Guam and Samoa under treaty organizations. We had Cuba. We have Puerto Rico. They’re all treaty organizations.

Ukraine could enter into a treaty organization over this disputed territory and ask for two things in return. Return the people that you took away from our country and took into the Soviet Union and pay us reparations for the damage that you did. Then the disputed territories could be, oh, look at the Panama Canal. We had a treaty with Panama. We never owned it. We had a treaty for 100 years. Right. All that disputed territory could be settled with treaty organizations, or if the Russians want to buy it, let them buy it, those kind of things. We did it over the years.

Yeah, I’m with you, and you heard my comments a moment ago, Bob. Not necessarily the opposite of Marty. In principle, I understand where Marty’s coming from. But I think how we get there, I’m more along your lines. Trump will figure out a way to get this deal done. And no matter what, all the rest of the globalists and all the global money and the folks that want to see this war continue want to do, I do believe wholeheartedly that Trump is done. He is finished. He is sick and tired of us spending money. He wants something in return when it’s all said and done, i.e. minerals and things that will offset those costs. And that’s the deal he’s working on and brokering right now.

Well, if we’re waiting for somebody to wave a white flag and surrender, that’s not going to happen. If we’re going to wave a flag saying we won, that’s not going to happen either. My suggestion is treaties, purchases, long-term agreements, and the Ukrainians say, give us some money back from what you did to our country and bring our people back. And it’s done. It’s finished.

Yeah, and I don’t know, again, I’m way too, how should I say, I don’t have enough info, Bob, to know exactly how Trump and his advisors around him are going to couch all of this and make it happen. But I am one that says this thing ends, maybe in a month, maybe it’s a little longer than that. But this thing’s not, there will be no 2026 Ukraine-Russia war. That’s my prediction. Yeah, okay. Your thoughts? Does it get done that quickly? No.

You think it takes longer than four months to get this deal done?

Like I said, our country purchased and treated lots of property. Look at Greenland.

To put the framework in place to actually make it happen, you think it’s more than four months? Yeah. To where there’s no more fighting and at least they can get a ceasefire and start working on all the details. You don’t think that’s done in 2025?

Well, you’ve got two people that are bullheaded. Well, you’ve got three.

You do, but in this particular case, Zelensky is under the thumb of the golden rule, which is we have the gold and we rule. So at the end of the day, he’s not going to have a lot of choice, Bob. You understand that as well as anybody. I mean, at the end of the day, he may think he’s got a choice, but he really doesn’t. That one I will agree with Marty on. Zelensky really isn’t in control. Most of the people over there don’t like the guy. I don’t care for the guy. A lot of Americans don’t like the guy. I mean, at the end of the day, he’s going to have to do whatever is best for him so he can come out of this thing halfway alive. That’s basically the only thing he needs to look at because he’s not going to rule the country after this anyway. You know that as well as I. So what he’s looking at is, how do I come out of this looking halfway decent? And again, maybe he’s not even looking at that, Bob, because I hate to keep saying this, but the guy’s just not very smart. He’s as dumb as a rock.

So all you need to do now is just make sure you’ve got a few more things handled in regards to how does the security part of that work and so on and so forth. I mean, at the end of the day, Bob, most of that heavy lifting is already done. done. That’s why I’m one to say I don’t think this takes until the end of the year to get done.

Well, if it’s settled soon, then we can let the Soviet Union, well, I’m sorry, it’s not the Soviet Union anymore, it’s Russia again, but we can let Russia sell their oil and natural gas to whoever wants to buy it at prices, and they’ll be fine. And get rid of this war and settle this territory that’s under dispute with either purchases, long-term leases, or territorial agreements.

Or if you’re Ukraine, you just decide to give that sliver of land to Russia, you get to your point, make a treaty, make a sale, however you want to end up doing it at the end of the day, just get the deal done. All right. We are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Thank you, by the way, for all the text messages that came in. Some of you really agreeing with my take on what’s happening when it comes to Ukraine. One thing that Charlie and I were talking about during the break that I think you’ve got to throw into this as well is, you know, there’s been rumors out there with some of what’s already gone on that, you know, Trump could very easily win the Nobel Peace Prize. He gets this deal brokered and somehow gets this thing ended, it probably would happen. And that’s a big deal, by the way. And I think that’s a big deal to a, and I’ll say it straight up, to an egomaniac like Trump to be able to go down as a president that had that, that actually accomplished it, didn’t just get it handed to him on a silver platter, but actually earned that prize. I think that means a lot to a guy like Donald Trump. And I do believe in my heart that he’s tired of spending money in Ukraine. There’s no arguing that. He is tired of spending money over there. He wants to concentrate on what’s going on here. It’s a distraction in and of itself, even when it comes to the funding of getting Congress to approve more money, all those different things. That is a huge distraction from the task at hand, which is building the economy we have here in our country, attracting new business and getting the things done in regards to tariffs and so on. He is more concerned about that. than he is what’s going on with Ukraine and Russia as far as ongoing. He wants that thing done and over with and wants that thing, quote-unquote, out of his hair so he can move on and talk about other things. And, by the way, when it comes to even the tariffs and things like that with other countries, having this deal done even helps him when it comes to negotiating with other countries in that regard also. Don’t forget that. So there’s a lot at stake. For all three parties. Zelensky, he wants to save face. Putin, he wants more territory because he’s an old KGB guy, period. He just wants more no matter how he can get it. Trump, he’s got a lot on the line from the things I just mentioned a moment ago. Now, of those two, I think Trump and Putin probably have more stake in this than Zelensky, because Zelensky is just a little rat at the end of the day. I’m sorry. I just I don’t like the guy. I think he’s a little scumbag. I think he’s he’s a sort of a quasi leader, but really isn’t. Most of the people there, I agree with Marty in this. Most of the people in Ukraine don’t have much regard for. And some of you might say, well, how do you know that, John? I’ve given you guys examples of where I’ve traveled at different times. I’ve met different people from different areas, some of them being from Ukraine. And granted, you know, a meeting of several different couples doesn’t tell you the way the entire country feels. I get that. But you start getting a sampling when you talk to more and more people, and it’s sort of like, gee, the theme’s kind of the same. It doesn’t change. So in a way, you do get a pretty good indicator of what people feel like internally along those lines. So yes, there’s a lot on the line. And you have, in this case, three egomaniacs, which I don’t think I would normally say this, but Trump’s got a huge ego, no doubt about it. But when it comes to Zelensky and Putin… I think, and I may be wrong in saying this, but I think the biggest egomaniac of the three is Zelinsky because he has short man syndrome on top of being an egomaniac. I think he’s actually the toughest guy to try to come down to earth and make a deal of the three because on top of that, he’s dumb as a rock. So he’s this stupid narcissist that really has no idea how to be grounded. He has short man syndrome on top of all of that. And he’s going to make sure that his voice is heard if he has to shout louder and louder just because of everything I just said. Now, I’m not giving praise to Putin by any means. The guy’s also a huge narcissist that started a war that he shouldn’t have in the first place, but has admitted he wouldn’t have started if Trump would have stayed in office. Meaning I think he wants it over sooner than later, because I think he also knows if this thing continues on, it’s not going to end well for him. And it’s not already. He’s already in a bad spot in all of this anyways. So we will continue to monitor this and see. And as I said earlier, be patient for all of you that are out there sort of watching and waiting to see what’s going to happen next. Be patient. Is all of this going to get fixed in one day? No. Is it going to get fixed in a week? There’ll be a lot of work done within the next week, week to 10 days. And then what happens after that? I do think that that X post I read earlier that they’re talking they want this thing done in weeks, not months, meaning that Putin himself and Trump are trying to push this thing through. Now, will it happen that fast, given what has to happen in Ukraine in regards to getting a vote and stuff done? I don’t know how much time they need to make all of that happen. So it won’t happen probably in the next week or two. But could I see getting an initial framework of things in place, having some of those things taken care of after the fact and getting the votes done and so on and getting the deal done and having that signed, sealed and delivered by the end of the year? Yeah, I think it will. That’s my prediction. And I’m not trying to brag, folks, but there’s not too many of these I’ve been that wrong in. And some of that is because I don’t get worked up over this stuff, emotionally speaking. I look at it as factually as I possibly can. I don’t get worked up. And to the point I proved with Marty, I have been in a lot of tough negotiating things over the years, depending upon what it is you’re trying to get worked out. And I understand how all this works. I also understand where Trump has to come in with his position and strength and so on. So I get that end of things. And I’m afraid to say that there’s a lot of people out there that are against Trump in this, that I’m not trying to be mean here, but they haven’t negotiated themselves out of a wet paper bag. Nonetheless, done anything else in life. But yet they’re the first ones to criticize that, you know, why in the world would we as a country support Ukraine giving up any land? So the one thing I did agree with Marty on is no matter what happens with all of this, end of the day, none of us will really be effective to a great deal. Our heirs might be, and that’s what I’m looking at, is their well-being on down the road. So that’s as big of a concern for me than probably anything else. All right, this is a story that I may come back to just because I planned on talking about it a little bit more today, but the Russia-Ukraine thing took a lot of our time here in this first hour. And this was – I had a conversation on Drive Radio on Saturday talking about CDL drivers and just how bad a lot of them are and the CDL commercial driver’s license. So all the people you see driving big trucks. So they all have to have a special license, a CDL license. And it was a big deal on Saturday. Had probably an hour conversation from different listeners and text messages and so on. Well, sure enough – Over the weekend, there was an illegal truck driver out of California who made a U-turn in an emergency-only space on a highway in Florida that when he did, a minivan ran into that particular truck and three people died. And a lot of you, I mean, I’m not exaggerating. I had probably a dozen of you send me this article after the conversation we had Saturday, really proving the point of what I was talking about on Saturday and the fact there’s a lot of these guys that have these commercial driver’s licenses that are not trained properly on how to do things. And my question on Saturday was, how are these guys slipping through the system and even getting things done? Well, now on top of this, this guy is an illegal— coming out of a sanctuary state of California that allows commercial driver’s licenses to be issued to illegals. So now Gavin Newsom has been wrapped into this whole story. This is another one of those where we’ll keep watching this and see how this unfolds over the next few days. But this just proved my point on what I was talking about on Saturday when it comes to who ends up having these commercial driver’s licenses.
