Hour 2 of Rush to Reason blows the doors off with John Rush, Andy Peth, and Richard chiming in from the chaos of “Kids Las Vegas.” From wild football takes to quarterback doom-prophecies to ranking half the NFL as “terrible,” the crew barrels through a packed slate of games with trademark sarcasm, stats, and unapologetic honesty.
John and Andy rip into everything from the Dolphins “getting less freezing cold,” to the Packers being a “donut on defense,” to why the Eagles should be better than they are with all that talent. Along the way, they dive into coaching flaws, quarterback
SPEAKER 05 :
This is Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 11 :
You are going to shut your damn yapper and listen for a change because I got you pegged, sweetheart. You want to take the easy way out because you’re scared. And you’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only you to blame. Let me break this down for you. Life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes.
SPEAKER 10 :
With your host, John Rush.
SPEAKER 05 :
My advice to you is to do what your parents did!
SPEAKER 19 :
Get a job, sir! You haven’t made everybody equal. You’ve made them the same and there’s a big difference.
SPEAKER 01 :
Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life. That there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
SPEAKER 16 :
Are you crazy? Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?
SPEAKER 03 :
It’s Rush to Reason with your host, John Rush, presented by Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning.
SPEAKER 04 :
All right, Hour 2, Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Myself, Andy Pate, Charlie Grimes, Richard, are you joining us as well?
SPEAKER 06 :
That I am.
SPEAKER 04 :
All right.
SPEAKER 06 :
From Kids Las Vegas, Andy. What? From Kids Las Vegas.
SPEAKER 04 :
From Kids Las Vegas.
SPEAKER 06 :
Really? Is it fun? Oh, you know, it’s just a joy. Dad, you would just love it here with your love for children.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, what I know.
SPEAKER 06 :
All the little rugrats running around.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, I’m glad you’re there.
SPEAKER 15 :
Would John be going around having them all sedated?
SPEAKER 06 :
Andy, he would walk in and walk out. It would be like the family guy, you know, where Peter walks in, he grabs his hat, he makes a circle, and then he grabs it again. That would be my—because he would— And it’s okay. There’s nothing wrong with that. I would not come here if I did not have Soder.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay. There we go. Well, let’s give you a little football time to get you away from it. Are you ready, sir?
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, I’m always ready for some football, Andy.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, here we go. The first game is not going to be football, so it’s going to be the Commanders are on the road at the Dolphins. Dolphins favored by two and a half. Quick question. Are the Dolphins, dare I say it, getting hot?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, Andy, getting hot’s a very, very strong term there, Andy. I feel like maybe they’re just not as bad. Right. Is that the right way of saying it? Are they getting less freezing cold? Yeah, less bad. There you go. Oh, okay, good. Yeah, maybe a little bit, Andy. The Commanders are getting more bad. I mean, or they’re just – the Commanders are coming back to reality combined with losing their quarterback and some of those other things. So, yeah, Andy, this game is in Spain, right? Yes. in Madrid for the first time, which will be interesting. Um, that’s cool. I don’t know if it’ll make it. Yeah. I don’t know if it’ll make a difference, but, um, I’m going to go, I actually liked the, the dolphins here, Andy. I think that they’re, I don’t know, maybe getting it figured out a little bit more. And again, I still don’t think that those guys save their jobs there in Miami. Um, I think that they just are going to do enough to maybe win some of these games where it’s kind of a toss-up and a coin flip.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, I agree, and I’ll take the Dolphins. I think the Commanders are starting to check out. I think they’re done. Okay. Panthers are on the road at the Falcons. Falcons are actually favored by 2.5, which is surprising. Is this the last chance for the Panthers to be relevant?
SPEAKER 06 :
I don’t know about last chance. If they lose this, I mean… You’re not wrong. Is it the last chance for the Falcons, Andy? I’m not saying Morris is going to lose his job, but Penix doesn’t appear to be growing. I know it’s his first full season, so don’t get me wrong, but there’s definitely some interesting things there, Andy, that are going on. Yeah, Andy, divisional game. I do like where Bryce Young’s at. I actually like the direction of the Panthers. I just think they’re a year away. You know what I mean? I agree. This is a game they probably should win. They may not. It’s on the road. I’ll pick the Panthers. But I actually like the trajectory that they’re on. Whether they maintain or not, that remains to be seen.
SPEAKER 15 :
I don’t like either team in this game. I’ll take the Panthers with you. I’m going to go, yeah, Panthers next game. The Bills are favored by 9.5. They’re on the road at, oh my gosh, I put in the wrong team.
SPEAKER 06 :
Who are the Bills playing? No, well, the Bills are at home against the Bucs.
SPEAKER 15 :
They’re at home against the Bucs. Oh, yes, I skipped down one. Okay, here we go. The Buccaneers are on the road at the Bills. Bills are favored by 5.5. Are neither of these teams contenders anymore? Can we say that they are both pretty much out of the top ring?
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, I don’t know if they’re contenders. I mean, I still think they’re contenders, Andy, because Bill’s, right? Because Josh Allen is still there. Whether they have enough offensive talent or not is a different conversation. is different. And the Buccaneers with Bakers, again, they seem like a really competitive team. Both of these teams are playoff teams, Andy. The question is, is where do they get seeded and then do they get hot enough at the right time? Because I think the Bucs maybe have too many injuries to continue on, and I just don’t know if the Bills have enough pieces around them to do that. But I’m going to take Buffalo, Andy, at home. They’re coming off. They lost last week, right, if I’m not mistaken, to the Dolphins. Yeah, they got smacked by the Dolphins. I think they’re going to be looking to get one. I think this will be a competitive game. One of the, well, not one of the better games, but a good game for this week. But I’ll go with the Bills at home.
SPEAKER 15 :
I’m going to take the Bills too. And let me just say this. I think Josh Allen is giving the Bills the curse of John Elway. And here’s what I mean. John Elway through his first decade in the league was so incredible. He won too many games and kept them from drafting well. and kept them from becoming an elite team. He really did. And finally, they put together that great running game, and they were able to do it at the end. But that’s what’s happening in Buffalo. They can’t put together enough talent because their quarterback is keeping them from drafting high.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, and Andy, I’ll say this. I would agree, and then also… A GM, right? Like in Kansas City, where you’ve got Veach and Reed. I think Veach is a really good GM. And I think you’ve seen some of that. They’ve missed on some of their picks, but they’ve drafted better than Buffalo has. And I think that’s the difference. Whereas I think Josh Allen is really, really good. And to your point, it’s just a lot harder when you’re drafting later to get those really good players. And they struggle with that.
SPEAKER 15 :
I totally agree. Okay, next game, Texans favored by six and a half at the Titans. Is there any team right now that the Titans can beat?
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, themselves? A scrimmage. I’d watch it. I’d buy a ticket. Andy, the only thing that worries me here is Davis Millis has played well, but he is a backup for a reason. And the Titans just feel like that team, they’re going to win more than one game. I just don’t think it’s more than two games that they win. So how do they, you know, essentially kind of how do they get that second win? And in a divisional game like this at home, playing against the team’s backup quarterback? Possibly. But I don’t have the confidence, Andy. I like the Texans’ defense too much. They are really good. I saw them firsthand. So I’ll go with the Texans on the road.
SPEAKER 15 :
I agree. That second win’s going to happen, but I’m not going to pick it all year. So when it happens, it won’t be me picking. I’ll take the Texans. Okay, the Bears are at the Vikings. Vikings are actually favored by 3.5. Not sure about that. Could the Bears win this division, or are the Lions going to just take it outright?
SPEAKER 06 :
This is it. the Lions are too good, Andy, but I think, well, we kind of saw this and you called it with Ben Johnson, you know, being obviously with the Lions and obviously Ben Johnson now going to the Bears. He’s really good and he’s actually been really good for Caleb Williams and I think he’s taken a step this year. He still runs around a little bit too much for me. He’s still a little bit too much Caleb Williams from USC, but I think that I think that they’re improving, Andy. And I just don’t think the Vikings are very good. I actually like Kevin O’Connell as a head coach. I just don’t think J.J. McCarthy’s the dude. And I know some people are going to say that there’s not been enough time. I just don’t think he’s the guy. I think they’ve been hurt by injuries, those sorts of things. So I don’t know why Minnesota’s favored here. I like the Bears. We talked about a team getting hot, right? You talked about the Dolphins maybe. I actually think the Bears are kind of on that. They’re kind of on this trajectory of they’re starting to bestial themselves a little bit, right, and kind of know where to go and what to do. So I’ll go with the Bears on the road.
SPEAKER 15 :
You know what? Geez, I want to disagree because we haven’t disagreed, but I can’t. I’m going to take the Bears as well. The Packers are favored by 7.5 at the Giants. Honestly, can the Packers beat anyone? And when they were 5-1-1, what did I say? They’re a paper tiger. I know they’re my team, but they’re not a good team. And now they’ve lost two in a row, and they look bad. Green Bay’s a bad team, okay, but so are the Giants.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, the Giants are bad, Andy, but Jameis is starting this week. That gives them hope. Jameis is starting, but they also don’t have their head coach. The question is, do the Giants get that interim coach bump that a lot of these teams get? They might. They might. I don’t know. I don’t know the answer.
SPEAKER 15 :
Right now, anyone can beat Green Bay, and I don’t say that just because I’m a miserable fan. They have no offense. They have no offensive line.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, I’m going to take a pick because I’m going to force you to disagree with me, and then pick your team because I’m just a cruel and sick individual. So I’m going to take the Giants at home, even though the spread is almost a touchdown here. I guess it is more than a touchdown. I’m going to go with the Giants at home to maybe make that upset because, like you said, I’ll buy into your idea that the Packers just aren’t very good.
SPEAKER 15 :
No, they’re terrible. Look, the Packers, and really quick, I say this as a fan who knows them, I could literally recite the entire team, including their heights, weights, sizes, 40 speeds, everything about them, okay? I know them that well. They have no nose tackle on defense. They have all this speed and no middle. They’re a donut on defense, and so they just get run over and beaten up. But the Giants are terrible, so I’ll take the Packers. There, we differed on one game. Okay, next game. Bengals are on the road at the Steelers. Steelers favored by five and a half. Look, since he has finished, can the Steelers stay afloat in a bad division?
SPEAKER 06 :
The better question, Andy, yeah, is can the Steelers hold on long enough to challenge Baltimore? Because I think Baltimore is going to go on a run here to finish off the year. And that’s not to say I think Baltimore is going to do much of anything in and we’ll get to them here in a second. But I just think that the Steelers have to, and you’ve got to beat Joe Flacco and the Bengals. I know Joe Burrow started his practice window. I think it would be so silly, Andy, to bring Burrow back any sooner than you have now. If you win the next two games or something like that, then maybe they have a conversation. But I’m going to go with this. I know the Steelers didn’t look very good last week. I’ll go with the Steelers here, Andy, just because, again, I just have no confidence in the Bengals.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, I’m going to take the Steelers too, and really quick, Joe Burrow, trade him to a team that has a line. I mean this. I feel so horrible for this guy, and he has become the Archie Manning of the NFL, an unbelievably talented quarterback who just gets annihilated every time he goes in the field. I feel bad for him. Okay, next game, the Chargers are favored by two and a half at the Jaguars. Now, look, I’m going to say it. The Chargers have no offensive tackles, no running backs. If we accounted for surrounding cast, wouldn’t Justin Herbert be a runaway favorite for MVP? If we accounted for surrounding cast.
SPEAKER 06 :
Andy, you mentioned John Elway earlier. Herbert feels like Elway of the 80s. I guess you should say, yeah, the late 80s and the 90s, where just a really great quarterback and no team around him, right? And I’m not saying to no fault of the Chargers. I’m just saying that injuries that happened have forced this to be the way that it is.
SPEAKER 15 :
They’re snakebitten.
SPEAKER 06 :
They are. They are absolutely snakebitten. So, yeah, Andy, at the same time, I don’t know in this because you’re traveling across country. You’re going to the Jags. They lost last week. Granted, they’re a downed Travis Hunter. Man, I don’t know. I’m going to take the Chargers here, Andy, just because I think that they’re a better coached team and I think that Herbert’s better than Lawrence. But, man, if the Chargers were healthy, this would be a runaway. But I’ll go with the Chargers, but I think it’ll be close.
SPEAKER 15 :
I say the same thing. Chargers and a squeaker. Next game, I’m going to say it, game of the week. Seahawks at the Rams. Rams favored by two and a half.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, we’ll maybe agree to disagree. Actually, I’ll agree based on the records, Andy. There’s another very close one coming up, yeah. There is, absolutely. Yeah, Andy, this will be interesting to me because the Seahawks have beaten the teams that they’re supposed to beat and kind of lost to teams that you would sort of expect them to, I guess, that way. And they only have two losses. I think they’re a really good team. I actually like McDaniel up there. I think he’s done a really good job. Um, I just don’t know. I think the Rams are really good too. I think McVay, it’s me and Stafford. You want to talk about MVP? I know Drake Mays getting all the, you know, the, the, the praise these days, but May or Stafford old man, you know, old gray bearded Stafford is coming through and maybe having some of the best, best ball of his career. He’s dominating. I’m, I’m going to go with the Rams here, Andy. And it’s only, I just, I, if I can ever pick against the Seahawks, I will. And then I just think the Rams are at home. Big divisional game. Really, really should be fantastic. This game should have been a Sunday night, but that’s a different conversation.
SPEAKER 15 :
Great game. I’d pay for the ticket. I’ll take the Rams as well. Next game, the Niners are favored by two and a half at the Cardinals. Is this the last chance for the Niners to stay relevant?
SPEAKER 06 :
I don’t know about last chance, Andy, because they built themselves a nice team. Purdy’s back, so I think that’ll give them a lift, although I think Matt Jones did an admirable job. Cardinals are just not very good, Andy. We saw that last week against the Seahawks. So, yeah, I think the Niners should be a good chance for Purdy to get back into a rhythm and for them to sort of see if they can’t make a run to finish off. Although, again, with the Seahawks and Rams in that division, really, really tough. But I’ll go with the 49ers here.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, me too. Okay, next game, the Ravens, who are the mirror image of the Broncos, right? An unbelievable offense, really. Terrible defense. Okay, they’re on the road at the Browns. Ravens favored by 7.5. Will Baltimore catch the Steelers and win this division outright?
SPEAKER 06 :
I think it will, Andy. I think it will come down to the last couple weeks. I think they play the Steelers still one or two times, if I’m not mistaken. And the Browns are just awful. I don’t think the Browns should be playing Shador at this point in time, Andy. So I don’t know what they’re doing, in all honesty. I’m going to go, obviously, the Ravens here. I think they cover. Again, they’re on a mission right now. The question is, do they maintain that for the rest of the year, or are they going to… are they going to kind of get to the playoffs and flounder like they always do? That’s the only question that remains to be seen.
SPEAKER 15 :
I agree. I’ll take the Ravens in a blowout. Next game, the Chiefs are favored by 3.5, coming here to Denver, and Denver has the better record by far. Look, the Chiefs have improved, but can they win a tough road game? I haven’t seen them do it.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, I was going to say, they played against Buffalo before their bye, and there’s a few things on this.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, but Buffalo is not the Broncos. Broncos would kill Buffalo right now. I mean, the Broncos… might be the league’s best team with that defense.
SPEAKER 06 :
I like your optimism, Andy, and I’m going to go with my reverse genes like I have been for the past few weeks because it seems to be working. Although I will say this, Andy, Andy Reid is really, really good off of the bye week. I think his record’s like 20-4 or something like that. It’s insane how good he is. Now, the Broncos have had a little mini-bye, so I think this is a really close game. I’m hoping for the opposite result of what I’m saying. I just think, Andy, our offense has got to kick it into gear. And I’m hoping by playing the Chiefs, who their offense has come into their own over the course of the season, that they play really well. And that forces the Broncos offense to play well, because it seems like when the other team’s offense plays well, the Broncos offense plays well. So with that being said, I’m going to go with the Chiefs here, Andy. Again, reverse jinx style, hoping for the best, but I’ll pick the Chiefs to win on the road.
SPEAKER 15 :
I’m going to go with you, actually. I think just narrowly. Honestly, it’s a toss-up, but I think the Chiefs have a slight edge. Okay, here’s the other game of the week. The Lions are on the road at the Eagles. Eagles are favored by two and a half. Should they be? I don’t think they look that impressive.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, they don’t look that impressive to me. I’m with you. They definitely look off. And the Lions are kind of coming into their own. I mean, I know they kind of struggled out of the gate a little bit, but I think that was sort of them figuring out their offensive coordinator, and it seems like Dan Campbell is calling plays now for them. I still think the Eagles are a faulty team. I think that even if they do maintain, and they should maintain, obviously they’ll win that division because that division is just, There’s nothing there this year. I think it’ll be the Lions, Andy. And actually, I like, honestly, I can’t believe that the Eagles are favored by home. I think this game should be a pickup rather than a team favored, to be honest. So I’ll go with the Lions on the road.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, I’m going to take the Lions, too. Honestly, I think the Eagles have the worst coach in the NFL, bar none. All that talent. They should be unbeatable. I mean, my Lord, their talent is sick. And yet, look at them. They struggle. I don’t know how. Last game, the Cowboys are favored by three and a half at the Raiders. I have one word to say. Why? Why play this game?
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, there you go. Why play this game? Well, because it’s going to pad Dak’s stats. Oh, okay. I think a cheesecloth stops more, Andy, than the Cowboys defense does.
SPEAKER 15 :
I mean, is there ever a receiver against the Cowboys who is not open? And I mean wide open. Every single play. Do they cover anyone?
SPEAKER 06 :
No. Nope, nope. It’s pretty much wide open, whatever you want to do, Andy. It’s like scrimmage. I think, again, I really like this game for fun, and I think ESPN is salivating. Granted, half of the country is not going to be able to watch it, but that’s a different conversation, Andy. Dad, one of these days, we need to do like a how do you watch TV, like what’s the best way to take advantage of things, because with this YouTube TV, ESPN, it’s really just messing up most of the world. But anyway, with that, Andy, I’m going to go with the Cowboys. high-scoring game here, but I think they just outscore the Raiders because the Raiders are just terrible.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, I’ll take the Cowboys too, John. We’re done. All right, Paul Luebiger is up next, I should say. And whatever you need when it comes to insurance, make sure you call Paul. He is a good friend of mine and also my insurance broker, 303-662-0789.

All right, Kevin Flesch, when it comes to being represented criminally or civilly, Kevin is your attorney’s mind as well. Give him a call today, 303-806-8886.
SPEAKER 09 :
Here’s why you need personal injury attorney Kevin Flesch on your side. He understands the way the jury thinks. In the context of a personal injury case, you’ve been hurt by someone else’s negligence. The idea is that you’re going to try to recover so that you can get back to where you were just prior to that incident occurring. What that really means from a jurist’s perspective is that you’re going to be asking them to award you money. So when we talk about fairness, we’re talking about six people that you don’t know. Those six people view the evidence and make a unanimous decision that will decide what the fair value is. When you’re the one who’s hurt, you have a good idea of what you think it’s worth. The question is, can you persuade those other individuals whom you don’t know and were witnesses to believe that’s what the case is worth? Kevin Flesch understands the way the jury thinks. SPEAKER 04 :
And we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. All right, Andy. Richard had to drop off. As you can tell, he’s got a little bit of stuff going on there. Yeah, no problem. So it’ll be you and I doing movies, and it’s movies with magic. Not my best genre, so if you’ve got a few clips to play, that is just fine.
SPEAKER 15 :
I do, and the first one is a series of movies that John Rush has to watch. I know it’s kid stuff at first, but, John, it’s just really well made. Here we go. Harry Potter.
SPEAKER 19 :
Dear Mr. Potter, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. In a few moments, you will pass through these doors and join your classmates.
SPEAKER 21 :
Keep an eye on the staircases.
SPEAKER 19 :
They like to change. Good afternoon, class. Welcome to your first flying lesson. Stick your right hand over the broom and say, up.
SPEAKER 15 :
wow uh harry potter is just wonderfully done all i can say never seen it i know i’ve said this before but some of these cgi special effects movies it’s just so much you know the twisting and turning and you’re it’s like you’re in an alternate reality not in harry potter it’s all very tastefully done little pieces of magic here and there here and there it’s so well done john very impressive and good characters
SPEAKER 04 :
because this really is magic, The Prestige.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER 04 :
Good movie, by the way. And I like magic movies.
SPEAKER 15 :
Was that Hugh Jackman? Oh, okay.
SPEAKER 04 :
Wasn’t it, they were the two, I can’t remember. Yeah, Christian Bale. That’s the other.
SPEAKER 15 :
By the way, what a couple of actors.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, really good movie.
SPEAKER 15 :
And yeah, and they were like competing. Was this in England?
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes, I believe that’s correct. Okay, yeah. Old England, yeah.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, well done, well done. Okay, Ella Enchanted. It’s for young girls to watch, I admit it. Okay, but it’s a cute story. Basically, she is cursed from birth that she cannot say no to anything. If anybody asks her to do anything, she has to do it. Here we go.
SPEAKER 17 :
Your girlfriend doesn’t mind being left alone?
SPEAKER 10 :
I don’t have a girlfriend.
SPEAKER 17 :
Oh?
SPEAKER 10 :
I have many.
SPEAKER 17 :
Oh.
SPEAKER 10 :
I’m kidding. She never planned on falling for the prince.
SPEAKER 17 :
I think you’re gonna be a great king someday.
SPEAKER 10 :
And… Let’s find a way to get rid of the prince.
SPEAKER 02 :
Come on, guys! We gotta party!
SPEAKER 10 :
She never imagined they’d have to save the kingdom.
SPEAKER 23 :
Drop that crown!
SPEAKER 10 :
Miramax Films presents The Princess Diaries and Hathaway.
SPEAKER 15 :
Anyway, it is a fun movie. I mean, girls love watching it, of course, but it’s actually a fun movie to watch. There you go. Ella Enchanted.
SPEAKER 04 :
You know what? Just because we did the Now You See Me, Now You Don’t, and you can either pick one or two or whatever. Really, I think the first one’s probably one of the best.
SPEAKER 15 :
I think so because it’s fresher.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, you don’t know what’s going to happen.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER 04 :
Although they’re all decent. I can’t complain. They are. They’re all really good.
SPEAKER 15 :
They are. Okay, well done. Another movie I’m trying to get you to watch. Maybe you have watched it by now. The original The Mummy with Brendan Fraser. Have you seen it?
SPEAKER 04 :
I have, yes.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, here we go. It’s great.
SPEAKER 20 :
You have unleashed a creature that we have feared for more than 3,000 years.
SPEAKER 10 :
He will regenerate and no longer be the undead.
SPEAKER 14 :
We are in serious trouble. On May 7th.
SPEAKER 11 :
Do you swim? If the occasion calls for it. Trust me, it calls for it.
SPEAKER 14 :
Universal Pictures invites you. This just keeps getting better and better. To experience the adventure. It appears he’s already chosen his human sacrifice. That will live forever.
SPEAKER 19 :
He turns me into a mummy of the first one I’m coming after.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, now that was, I think, a great movie. Mm-hmm. Phenomenal special effects, really well written, a lot of fun. If you haven’t seen The Mummy with Brendan Fraser, folks, it’s got some scary moments. It does, but you have to watch it. What do you think?
SPEAKER 04 :
Good. Yeah, can’t argue that one. Somebody just said, I’ll steal this, if you don’t add Mary Poppins, I’ll disown you. Okay, so there we go. Mary Poppins, there you go. We’ll add that one in.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, in fact, here we go.
SPEAKER 04 :
Go for it.
SPEAKER 10 :
I’m practically perfect in every way. I’m practically perfect in every way.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, and that was Dick Van Dyke. Actually, that movie had a surprising number of very memorable tunes. Really well done.
SPEAKER 04 :
It did. Okay. I mean, it wasn’t a bad movie, so that was from a listener, but I’ll take it, so go ahead, Andy.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, here’s one. This is definitely magical. Come on, Jumanji. Oh, yeah, absolutely.
SPEAKER 02 :
Martha? Why am I wearing half a shirt and short shorts in the jungle?
SPEAKER 12 :
I think we got sucked into Jumanji, and we’ve become the avatars we chose. So that means Bethany? Yeah. Holy Bethany.
SPEAKER 05 :
Don’t look at it. No! I’m an overweight middle-aged man. I don’t have my clarinet. And all I see around here is pollen. Well, I don’t have the top two feet of my body.
SPEAKER 07 :
Sam, that is a man right there. Don’t cry. Don’t cry. Don’t cry.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s going to be okay. It’s good. That was a great movie.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah. I thought the first Jumanji was a tremendous movie.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, that’s a five.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, and that was Jack Black at the peak of his powers.
SPEAKER 04 :
Wasn’t he funny? Oh, they were all good. Oh, they were all good. Great movie.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, you’re up.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, let’s see here. I’m going to roll down here a little bit. Okay. Evan Almighty.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER 04 :
Some magic in it.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah. I mean, I would say the Lord Almighty can do a little bit of magic. What do you say?
SPEAKER 04 :
I agree.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah. Okay. Here’s, obviously, you can’t talk magic without talking the classic, The Lord of the Rings. Here we go.
SPEAKER 23 :
You shall not pass!
SPEAKER 15 :
And that’s the classic scene on the bridge where Gandalf is facing the huge demon monster. Have you ever seen it?
SPEAKER 04 :
Mm-mm.
SPEAKER 15 :
Lord of the Rings is classic, man.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s not one I’ve ever seen either. Another one I guess I need to watch.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, you do. Now, I will say they move a little slow, but my goodness, they are cool. Okay, you’re up.
SPEAKER 04 :
How about… Gosh, there’s so many here. And my problem is there’s a lot of these I haven’t seen. Encanto.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER 04 :
Which I like. It’s a good movie. Yeah, Magical House. For a kid’s film, it’s a good movie, actually.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, but if we’re going to do kids’ movies and magic, we have to do the ultimate one. Here we go. Robin Williams in Aladdin.
SPEAKER 16 :
Mr. Aladdin, sir, have a wish of two or three. I’m on the job. You dig, nay, Bob? You ain’t never had a friend, never had a friend. You ain’t never had a friend, never had a friend. You ain’t never had a friend.
SPEAKER 15 :
Greatest performance in a cartoon ever.
SPEAKER 04 :
Good one.
SPEAKER 15 :
Bar none. Okay, you’re up.
SPEAKER 04 :
All right, this one’s probably a little bit on the edge, but I think counts. Field of Dreams. magical moments in that movie.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s not really magic, but it’s like… Oh, come on.
SPEAKER 15 :
Open your mind. Sure, it’s magic. I mean, come on. You’re seeing those players out on the field. Yeah.
SPEAKER 04 :
If you build it, they will come. They will come, baby. It’s a great movie, by the way.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah. Okay. Now, this is one of my… We all have our go-tos that we can watch way more than the movie deserves because it just works for us. And for me, Nicolas Cage in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Here we go.
SPEAKER 11 :
I’m going to give you the basics. If a sorcerer is weak, his magic is weak. Everything we do is to protect man. I’m not a hero. I’m just a physics nerd. Let’s go train. Weapon of choice. Plasma bolt.
SPEAKER 15 :
I got one.
SPEAKER 16 :
And again.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, now that was one of the funniest moments Movies I have seen done by Jerry Bruckheimer. I mean, it was very funny. It just moved and moved and moved. It never got boring. It is an easy watch for anybody. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. There you go.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s one I’ve never seen.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, it’s worth it.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay, this one is from 1953 and 1998 because they redid it. Houdini.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah, yeah, classic, classic. Okay, here’s one. Gosh, I wish Richard was here because I wanted to play this for him. Onward. And this is the one where, you know, the two brothers, they want to bring back their dad for one day to see him, but they can only bring back the bottom half of them walking around with them. Here we go.
SPEAKER 05 :
Ah, he’s just legs. I definitely remember dad having a top part. Oh, what did I do? We only have 24 hours to bring the rest of him back. Until then, ta-da! Oh, that’s great! Dad, you look just like I remember.
SPEAKER 15 :
You got a problem, Shane? Anyway, it’s a really touching movie, actually.
SPEAKER 04 :
I don’t think I’ve ever seen it.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, Onward, it’s a bit slow, but it is very touching and actually quite funny and just really good.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 15 :
It’s a good Pixar. You are up.
SPEAKER 04 :
I’m going to go back old again just because of Mary Poppins, Bedknobs, and Broomsticks. Oh, yeah. Hey, that’s a classic. Yeah, an old movie when I was a kid.
SPEAKER 15 :
I used to like that movie when I was a kid. Okay. I got to go with The Little Ben Stiller, Night at the Museum.
SPEAKER 12 :
Oh, good one.
SPEAKER 15 :
There we go.
SPEAKER 12 :
It can get a little spooky around here at night, so you might want to put a few lights on. And the most important thing of all to remember, don’t let anything in or out. Out.
SPEAKER 15 :
And I’ll just cut it there because we’ve got a lot to do. But that was, I thought, now the third one was terrible, but I thought the first two were excellent. What do you think?
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, I agree. Absolutely. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER 15 :
The third one was so bad. That is one of those where they make three. Yeah, where the third one is so bad that it actually ruins your taste for the first two.
SPEAKER 04 :
Would you agree? Fully. Unbelievable.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, you’re up.
SPEAKER 04 :
The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER 04 :
Interesting movie.
SPEAKER 15 :
It is an interesting movie. Okay, and I haven’t even seen it. I’ve seen clips.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s good.
SPEAKER 15 :
That’s it. Okay, classic Beauty and the Beast.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER 15 :
Here it’s telling the story at the beginning about what is the plot.
SPEAKER 14 :
The rose she had offered was truly an enchanted rose which would bloom until his 21st year. If he could learn to love another and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time. As the years passed, he fell into despair and lost all hope for who could ever learn to love a beast.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, and I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. Just for the quality of the story itself, I believe that’s the best Disney ever. It was wonderful. It was really good. Did you ever see it?
SPEAKER 04 :
No.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, the original cartoon, Beauty and the Beast, just, wow, wonderful. Okay, you’re up.
SPEAKER 04 :
How about Legend?
SPEAKER 15 :
Legend. That’s with Tom Cruise. Hey, man, you got to have some Tom Cruise. We cannot have a week go by without a Tom Cruise movie. That would be sacrilege. In fact, God might strike us down if we did it. So I’m glad you did that. Okay, here’s one that came out actually just a couple years ago, which I enjoyed, Dungeons and Dragons. Here we go. Give us a fighting chance.
SPEAKER 10 :
We’re going to need strength. You got this, right? I know you don’t.
SPEAKER 11 :
We also need courage, magic, and you.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, bottom line, in the last few years, there have been virtually no movies that had special effects, action, and humor all put together in the same movie and selling it. This one did. I gave it a strong score. If you haven’t seen Dungeons & Dragons, it’s worth a watch.
SPEAKER 04 :
All right, you’re up. This is coming from a listener. I’m going to take it as well. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER 04 :
It was a good movie when I was a kid.
SPEAKER 15 :
A lot of Dick Van Dyke going on around here.
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, he was kind of that, I don’t want to say he was magical, but he was in a lot of magic-type movies.
SPEAKER 15 :
He was in that, wasn’t he?
SPEAKER 04 :
Or am I getting that wrong?
SPEAKER 15 :
I thought he was, yeah. I love Dick Van Dyke. He was so good. Okay, shall we go to break? No, go ahead.
SPEAKER 04 :
We’re fine. Keep going.
SPEAKER 15 :
All right, this is one that you have not seen, and I’m telling you. Now, by the way, a new one, a remake has come out that’s not as good, so you’ve got to watch the original, Hellboy. Here we go.
SPEAKER 16 :
Welcome to the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense.
SPEAKER 11 :
There are things that go bump in the night, Agent Myers. And we are the ones who bump back.
SPEAKER 1 :
Hellboy.
SPEAKER 15 :
That was a very good movie. Honestly, the first Hellboy and the second one, Golden Army, was not too bad either. But the first one was so fresh and different. And I thought it was going to be all this anti-Christian stuff, and it wasn’t. He was actually, you know, somewhat of a believer. I mean, he was just a really good guy. Well, he was, you know.
SPEAKER 04 :
Right.
SPEAKER 15 :
He was rugged and, you know.
SPEAKER 04 :
Never seen it.
SPEAKER 15 :
Hellboy, it is very good. It stars Ron Perlman as Hellboy.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 15 :
There you go.
SPEAKER 04 :
Let’s see here. How about, I didn’t like this movie very much. I thought it was weird, but everybody loves it. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, you hated it. Now, are you talking the original one with Gene Wilder? That one I actually liked.
SPEAKER 04 :
I don’t like any of them, but whatever.
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, I like that. I didn’t like the one with Johnny Depp, but I liked the one with Gene Wilder.
SPEAKER 04 :
Johnny Depp was weird.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER 04 :
Because he’s weird.
SPEAKER 15 :
He was trying to do something so different, and it just didn’t, in my opinion, it didn’t work. The thing about the one with Gene Wilder, you know, it was creepy. It was. And I didn’t like the creepy feel, but I will say this. What? man, did I love Gene Wilder. He was amazing in that movie. He blew my mind. So there you go. Okay. Here’s an easy one. I’m not going to play it because I’ve done it so many times. The movie Frozen.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yes, and that is a magical Disney movie. You’re up.
SPEAKER 04 :
I think they’re on my list. All right, if you’re going to do Frozen, I’m going to throw Moana in before we end and go to break. All right. Moana. All right, up next, Golden Eagle Financial. Al did an interview of late. Listen in. We’ll come right back. Find Al Smith, Golden Eagle Financial at klzradio.com.
SPEAKER 07 :
TJ here with KLZ Radio once again with Al Smith of Golden Eagle Financial. Al, we’re coming up to the end of the year, and I’ll bet you things are getting a little bit nervous. What kind of things do people need to think about with their retirement as they approach the end of the year?
SPEAKER 17 :
Some of the financial things have a deadline of December 31st each year, and the biggest ones are required minimum distributions. If you’re under age 73, you don’t need to be concerned with that. If you’re over and you have an IRA, that’s something that needs to be done before the end of the year. Don’t wait until the last week in December. Because the financial companies, the Charles Schwab, the Fidelities, the insurance companies, they get incredibly busy that time of year. So it’s better to do it the end of November or at the latest the beginning of December.
SPEAKER 07 :
So you’ll sit on the phone for them and sit on hold then, huh?
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, if it’s the last week in December, you’ll bet there’ll be some time on hold. Also, if people have traditional IRAs and they want to convert to Roth, usually by the end of the year, most people know how much money they’ve earned. And we can estimate the correct tax brackets because Roth conversions also need to be done before the end of the year. And people can do those at any age.
SPEAKER 07 :
And you need to take those RMDs so you can go buy Christmas for your family, right?
SPEAKER 17 :
There you go. Or there’s something called a QCD, Qualified Charitable Distribution, where you can take part of your required minimum distribution, have it go directly to your church or other charitable entity, and you won’t have to pay tax on it.
SPEAKER 07 :
That’s fantastic. How do people get in touch with you to start that out?
SPEAKER 17 :
You can reach me at 303-744-1128. If you’re driving, contact 560-KLZ and they’ll put you in touch with me.
SPEAKER 07 :
Al, thanks for coming in today.
SPEAKER 17 :
You’re welcome. Thanks for having me.
SPEAKER 10 :
Live and local. Back to Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 04 :
All right, we’ve got about 15 minutes left of this second hour doing movies with magic. Feel free to keep texting in, by the way, 307-200-8222. Andy, you’re up.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, we’ve got a little early Val Kilmer, Willow. Going to go rapid fire here. I don’t think I ever saw that one. Yeah, it’s good. It’s fun.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay, Coco.
SPEAKER 15 :
Coco, man, I didn’t think of that one. Okay, The Craft.
SPEAKER 04 :
That with… Nev Campbell. I don’t know if I ever saw that one either.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, it’s okay. Girls getting into stuff they shouldn’t. I’ll just say that.
SPEAKER 04 :
Enchanted.
SPEAKER 15 :
Enchanted. Nicely done. Peter Pan.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, I forgot about Peter Pan.
SPEAKER 15 :
By the way, don’t watch the movie Pan. Just want you to know.
SPEAKER 04 :
Just Peter Pan.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 04 :
Cinderella.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah. Classic. Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Okay, how about… I did that for Richard.
SPEAKER 04 :
Malfeasant.
SPEAKER 15 :
Maleficent, you mean?
SPEAKER 04 :
Maleficent, yeah.
SPEAKER 15 :
Malfeasance.
SPEAKER 04 :
I like that. Sorry, I didn’t see the E in there. No, that’s okay. I’ve only seen bits and pieces of that. What is her name again?
SPEAKER 15 :
I’m suddenly spacing it. I can’t remember. I love her, but I’m spacing her name. Okay, you already did Now You See Me, right?
SPEAKER 04 :
I did.
SPEAKER 15 :
So let’s go with The Little Mermaid. Oh, good one. Yeah.
SPEAKER 04 :
I married a witch.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, I didn’t think of that one. Chronicles of Narnia.
SPEAKER 04 :
Good one.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, I like that one.
SPEAKER 04 :
How about The Covenant?
SPEAKER 15 :
Ooh, good, good, good. Okay, how about The Illusionist? Did you ever see that?
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, and that’s on my list. I didn’t mention it yet, but that’s a good one. Yeah, in fact, that was next on my list, so you stole that one. I did. So let me cross that off. I did it to you. The Golden Compass.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, it’s all right. Okay, I’m going to go with The Polar Express.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, that’s a good one. That was magical. Especially this time of year.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, and you said Willow, right? I’ve got to cross that one off. The Hobbit trilogy? I never saw that.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, it’s not as good as Lord of the Rings. Just skip to Lord of the Rings.
SPEAKER 04 :
Just be done with it.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah. Oh, okay. Doctor Strange. Now, the first Doctor Strange was a lot of fun. Very funny and enjoyable. Did you see it?
SPEAKER 04 :
No. It’s good. I did actually see it. Yes. Yes. Yeah. Yeah, it’s good. Yeah. Agree. You’re up. And you did Dungeons and Dragons, right? I did. How about The Sorcerer and the White Snake?
SPEAKER 15 :
I never saw it. Never saw it. I’ve done this one before, but Hansel and Gretel, Witch Hunters.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 15 :
Have you seen that yet?
SPEAKER 04 :
No.
SPEAKER 15 :
It’s stupid fun. Stupid action fun.
SPEAKER 04 :
The Huntsman, Winter’s War.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, good, good, good. The Witches of Eastwick. Little Jack Nicholson.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, yeah, that’s in here. Yeah, I’ve got that one. Hocus Pocus.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah. You know, I’ve actually never seen it.
SPEAKER 04 :
Dominocus.
SPEAKER 15 :
Van Helsing.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER 15 :
A lot of magical creatures.
SPEAKER 04 :
All right. I got to throw in the original Bewitched.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, I didn’t think about that. Well, you’re talking the one.
SPEAKER 04 :
There’s a movie and then there’s a series as well.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah. Either way. Okay. Practical magic. Okay.
SPEAKER 04 :
The Blair Witch Project. It’s implied magic.
SPEAKER 15 :
Implied magic. Geez, now that one I hadn’t thought of. Well done. Hercules.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s a good one.
SPEAKER 15 :
It’s got a lot of magic.
SPEAKER 04 :
Go ahead. Let’s see here. You did Aladdin, right? Pete’s Dragon. Did you do that one?
SPEAKER 15 :
I did not do Pete’s Dragon. Well done, sir. Okay, now you already took the prestige. Did you take Sleeping Beauty? I wasn’t sure.
SPEAKER 04 :
I did not. No, you can have it.
SPEAKER 15 :
I am taking Sleeping Beauty. That’s magical.
SPEAKER 04 :
Let’s do, this was a weird movie, Constantine.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah. Now, that’s more supernatural.
SPEAKER 04 :
It is.
SPEAKER 15 :
But that’s magical.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s weird.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, I mean, he’s doing magic. Next.
SPEAKER 04 :
Next?
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, that’s with, what’s his name? I did a movie with him today that was horrible. His career is over.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, Cage.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, Nicolas Cage.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay. Wrath of the Titans.
SPEAKER 15 :
Never saw it.
SPEAKER 04 :
Me neither.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s on my list.
SPEAKER 15 :
Have you ever seen The Spiderwick Chronicles?
SPEAKER 04 :
No, I have not.
SPEAKER 15 :
It’s a charming little film. A little slow. A little slow.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay, here’s one you wouldn’t think is magic, but it kind of is. I mean, in a weird way. Click. Adam Sandler.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, that’s magical.
SPEAKER 04 :
Right. Come on. Because he’s got the TV remote and goes through his whole life by fast-forwarding or slowing down or whatever. Actually, he fast-forwarded it through his entire life.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, here’s a monster movie we haven’t mentioned, but we have to. Pirates of the Caribbean.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, I was going to say that one. Yeah, absolutely. No, that one can’t be. That is totally magical. Absolutely. Totally magical. Scrooged.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yes.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay, does that work?
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, yeah, and it was a great movie, too. I loved it. Here’s one, Christopher Robin. Oh, that one works. Yeah, where Winnie the Pooh comes to life.
SPEAKER 04 :
All right, other John and Cheyenne, go for it.
SPEAKER 22 :
Yeah, this is one with Christine Applegate and Gene Reno called Just Visiting.
SPEAKER 04 :
Never seen it.
SPEAKER 22 :
Never seen it.
SPEAKER 04 :
Is it pretty good? Just Visiting.
SPEAKER 22 :
Oh, yeah, he plays a knight, and he gets transferred to modern-day New York.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yes, I saw previews for it.
SPEAKER 22 :
And I love Christina Applegate. His sword, his armor-bearer is… The Peasant is really funny in that movie. It’s a hilarious movie from beginning to end. You’ll crack up the whole way.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay. Well done, sir. Yeah, good job, John. Appreciate that. You bet. You bet. Have a good one. No, okay. Somebody texted in Indian in the cupboard. Yep. And then Zathura?
SPEAKER 15 :
I’ve seen Indian in the cupboard. I have not seen Zathura.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay. So there you go. That comes from the listener.
SPEAKER 15 :
Pan’s Labyrinth. Pretty weird. Very weird.
SPEAKER 04 :
Gods of Egypt.
SPEAKER 15 :
Ooh. Now, you already did Enchanted, right?
SPEAKER 04 :
I did.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, I’m going to go with Stardust.
SPEAKER 04 :
How about Immortals?
SPEAKER 15 :
No.
SPEAKER 04 :
Never seen it?
SPEAKER 15 :
No, I did, and I regret it.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s not worth watching.
SPEAKER 15 :
It was awful, John.
SPEAKER 04 :
By the way. These are just on my list because I don’t know these movies that well.
SPEAKER 15 :
Immortals is one of those Marvel movies that lost an insane amount of money.
SPEAKER 04 :
I saw that movie. You’re right. I saw it. It was so bad. It is bad. No, I saw it. You’re right now.
SPEAKER 15 :
What is the one with Shang-Chi? That’s Shang-Chi. That’s another one that lost a lot of money.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 15 :
And he has the… Seven Rings. The Seven Rings that he can send. Those are cool, but the movie’s boring.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay. Okay. Am I up? Yeah. Groundhog Day. Oh, you’re right. Time loop magic.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah. Okay. How about The Witches?
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, good one. Good one. Okay. And you did The Mummy already, right? I did. Did we do Hercules? I did. You did that one, too. Then Brave. Brave.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, now I know this is a sequel, but I got to say it. The Mummy Returns.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s a good one, too. Was very good. No, it is. You’re right.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 04 :
You’re right. No, I’ll give you that one. Let’s see here. The Crow. It’s a weird movie.
SPEAKER 1 :
Oh, gosh.
SPEAKER 15 :
Very weird. And by the way, the recent one, do not see it.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s terrible. Yeah, it’s awful.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay. Troll. Troll.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, that was a weird movie.
SPEAKER 15 :
It’s kind of a horror movie.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, yeah. It is creepy.
SPEAKER 04 :
Very creepy. Yeah, you’re right.
SPEAKER 15 :
But we’re at that stage of the hour.
SPEAKER 04 :
This one’s kind of magical. Okay. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, okay. I can see that.
SPEAKER 04 :
He travels around, but he’s not really. I mean, it’s just, I don’t know. It’s magical.
SPEAKER 15 :
Bruce Almighty.
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, that’s a good one. All right, one more, and then we’ll take a break. And I talked about this one a couple of weeks ago, but Big Fish, just because it’s just such a weird movie. It is. But it’s good. It’s weird, but good. All right, Roof Savers of Colorado coming up next. What’s not weird is getting your roof inspected, making sure you’re dialed in. SPEAKER 04 :
All right, get your estate in order today. Talk to Michael Bailey. He is our mobile estate planner. Find him by going to klzradio.com.
SPEAKER 07 :
You’ll be so thankful that the mobile estate planner Michael Bailey keeps you awake long enough to actually finish your estate plan. That’s because he makes wills, trusts, and powers of attorney almost fun. Yeah, we said almost. Because let’s be honest, talking about what happens after you die is not on your bucket list. But Michael’s sense of humor somehow makes it easier. He’s like that friend who makes an IRS audit sound like it was just no big deal. And most clients leave relieved. And while the DIY guys online make you fill out forms until you go crazy and start Googling, what happens when I die without an estate plan? We’ll be right back.

SPEAKER 10 :
We don’t yell at you. We inform you.
SPEAKER 04 :
Now, back to Rush to Reason. All right, we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Andy, we got about a minute left here, so take it away. And I don’t have a whole lot left, so do your thing.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, let’s go Alice in Wonderland.
SPEAKER 04 :
Go. How about Matilda?
SPEAKER 15 :
Matilda. That’s one of mine. Jack the Giant Slayer. Do you have that one?
SPEAKER 04 :
I do not.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 04 :
How about… I don’t know some of these. The Shape of Water. Was that a stupid movie or not? Or was it just… I don’t even remember that movie.
SPEAKER 15 :
I didn’t bother watching it, so I don’t know.
SPEAKER 04 :
Shall I reel off several? Yeah, you got time. Go for it.
SPEAKER 15 :
Okay, Eragon, which is, that has a dragon, and the guy can do magic, okay? The House with the Clock on Its Walls, that’s with Jack Black. I always like him. Mary and the Witches, that’s an anime film. It’s actually very good. Magic in the Moonlight, starring Colin Firth and Emma Stone, two people who I just like a lot. The Never Ending Story, it’s a magical film. And can we call Miracles magic?
SPEAKER 04 :
Sure.
SPEAKER 15 :
Then we got to go with The Ten Commandments, man.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, good one.
SPEAKER 15 :
I mean, come on.
SPEAKER 04 :
Okay, I’ll give you this one. Fire falling from the sky. I’ll give you this one last just because it’s not really magic, but it’s a weird movie. Curious case of Benjamin Button.
SPEAKER 15 :
It’s magical.
SPEAKER 04 :
What else would it be?
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, I mean, sure, why not?
SPEAKER 04 :
All right. You guys have a fantastic weekend. Don’t forget, first thing in the morning, Fix It Radio at 9 o’clock, followed up by Drive Radio. I’ll see you then. Otherwise, enjoy your evening. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 1 :
I’m a rich guy.
