So yesterday, the Department of Justice released a new trove of nearly 30,000 pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. Will you be glad, like me, when all of these are just out there, when they release them and we’re done with it? It’s like they’re just trickling out. And every time, you know, you’ve got the left in the media saying, oh, you know, Trump’s done this or Trump’s done that. The DOJ wrote… and a post on X saying, some of these documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims made against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election. To be clear, the claims are unfounded and false. And if they had a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already. You see, what they’re doing is they’re releasing everything. That’s what people said. We want everything. So they’re releasing everything. Some of these documents are just emails that people sent in that found their way into the file. And a lot of it is speculation. A lot of it is accusations. People who hate Donald Trump, and they sent this in. Well, I heard, or my buddy told me this. The DOJ said that they’re releasing the files out of a commitment to the law and transparency. Added that the documents were released with the legally required protections for the victims of Epstein. A 2020 memo, this is an example, from a federal prosecutor states that President Donald Trump was listed as a passenger on Jeffrey Epstein’s private plane at least eight times in the mid-1990s. The memo states that some of these flights happened during the period we would expect to charge Ms. Maxwell in the case. In particular, he is listed as a passenger on at least eight flights between 1993 and 1996, including at least four flights on which Maxwell was also present. Trump was listed as having traveled with his then wife, Marla Maples, his daughter, Tiffany, and his son, Eric, according to the memo. It states that on one flight in 1993, Trump and Epstein were the only two listed passengers. On another, the only three passengers were listed as Epstein, Trump, and a then 20-year-old whose name was redacted in the release document. Two passengers present on two other flights, respectively, were women who would be possible witnesses in a Maxwell case, the memo stated. The name of the federal prosecutor who wrote the memo is redacted, so we have no idea who wrote this. And this is what you’re going to find. And so just be ready because over the next weeks and months, as some of these basement sleuths have time to go online, pull these up, they’re going to be selectively pulling some of these memos out, some of these emails. And you’ve got to remember when you see that, just because it’s an email to or from the Department of Justice, you have no idea who wrote it and what their intentions were. We don’t know how much of this memo that I just shared with you is true. It’s just someone writing, someone we don’t even know who they are. I know we’ve had a lot of discussion, a lot of debate on whether or not they should be released. And quite honestly, I fell on the side that I thought, hey, look, what do we have to lose here? For the sake of transparency, let’s just get it all out there. And yes, it’s going to hurt some people. It’s going to verify what some people have been saying all along. But as we start getting these, and… The haphazardly way that they appear to have been put together and now released, I’m just beginning to wonder, are we not just creating more problems than there should be? Was this the right thing to release these? Because they’re so heavily redacted, in some cases you have no clue of exactly who sent them. And shouldn’t we know in a case like this, I’m assuming it’s someone from the Department of Justice because it came from the Department of Justice, why would their name have been redacted? It could have been a… Biden political appointee or Obama political appointee who had it in for Donald Trump. So he gets a phone call, an anonymous phone call, who says, well, Trump was on the plane six times. So he writes it in a memo to his colleagues, well, I’ve got a report that Trump was on the flight six times. And the night that Obama won the first round of his first election— I live close enough to Millennium Park. My screen door was open on my patio. And when that roar came up, I knew that America was going to experience spiritual warfare like we’ve never had before. But this is what I don’t understand. When those far left governors… I think it was or Maris, I should say, from Denver, Chicago and so forth. What happened? I mean, something was supposed to have been given to Pam Bondi, who I love. Nothing happened. That’s what I don’t understand. You hear all this that’s supposed to be happening. It’s so terrible. And then they’re going to do something about it. But nothing ever happens. Am I impatient? No. Or is there something really wrong here? Why aren’t these governors and mayors who break the law, who guard illegal immigrants, why are they not called into court? I just don’t understand it, so please help me, okay?

Like you, I get frustrated too, and I think maybe we are just a little impatient that we want it to happen overnight because it seems crystal clear to us what is happening. Welcome in on this eve of Christmas Eve, Mike Gallagher Show. Glad to have you join me. I’m Joey Hudson sitting in for Mike as he is enjoying his family somewhere in Montana. He sent me some photos of snow, so he’s going to have a white Christmas, which is exactly what he was hoping for. Hope you’re ready for Christmas. As soon as the show wraps up today, I’ve got to run out and pick up a few extra things here and there. But I’m a last-minute shopper. I like that. I like the hustle and bustle of last-minute shopping. It kind of puts me in the Christmas spirit. We’ve got a lot of breaking news today, a lot of things happening. President Trump yesterday announced what he is calling the Golden Fleet, which is a series of new battleships that he says are going to be the largest ships, 100% better than any type of Navy ship we have ever had in our U.S. military. We’ll get to that as time permits today. Governor Tim Walz. is being called out by mayors recently. Ninety-nine mayors in his state signed on to a letter that is critical of his leadership and basically asking what is going to be done about some of the fraud that has been uncovered in his state as well. We’ll get to that too. And one of the stories that just keeps popping up over the past couple of days, is that of, I’m going to call it a bit of a feud, although it’s one-sided more so than the other, between Joy Reid, the former MSNBC host, and Erica Kirk. Now, let’s take you back last week on Thursday, the opening session of Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest. Erica Kirk greeted everyone who was there. And what a great group this was. Did you happen to see any of the video, maybe watch some of the meetings? You had thousands and thousands of young people who traveled to Phoenix, Arizona, because they love their country, they’re patriots, they want to turn their country around, they love Charlie Kirk and what he stood for, they love Erica Kirk, they love Turning Point USA, and they want to be a part of it. They want to be a part of the great future our country can have. So in the opening statement to all the attendees, Erica Kirk kind of just joked about Joy Reid and some of the things that Joy Reid has said. She said, maybe Joy Reid just needs a hug. I’d like to hug her. Well, you would have thought that Erica Kirk had declared war on Joy Reid, that Erica Kirk had had threatened her in front of the world. Because, let’s face it, it was a very public statement in front of a very large group, and it was being streamed and televised all over the world. So it’s not like Erica Kirk was trying to keep this on the down low. She very openly said, and again, it was sort of joking, but in the Christmas spirit, maybe Joy Reid just needs a hug. Well, I guess Joy Reid doesn’t like people hugging her. So let’s go back. I want you to hear the comments first from Erica Kirk. In cut number one, this kind of sets it up. This is really sort of a callback, if you will, to Reed previously attacking Kirk because of her hugging Vice President J.D. Vance. You remember that? Joy Reed just felt like that it was an inappropriate hug. All right, so here’s Erica Kirk.

You also learn some unexpected things, like the fact that Joy Reid probably needs a really, really good hug. And honestly, I’m here for it if she needs it. I got a good hug for you. Good hug for you. I’ll even touch the back of your head.

I’ll even touch the back of your head. Now, again, that was reference to Joy Reid criticizing Erica Kirk. You’ll recall when this was at, I think it was at Charlie’s actual memorial service. when a vice president and Erica Kirk embraced. And she did. She put her hand on the back of his head. A lot of people have just gone nuts over that, saying it was inappropriate, that it was intimate, and that it just shouldn’t have been done. Joy Reid piled on. So that’s what Erica Kirk jokingly said last week to kind of set this up. That was the offense. That was what Joy Reid found offensive in this latest thing. No profanity, no insults, no personal attacks, just a little humor around Christmas time. Well, Joy Reid did not take it that way. On her show, Reid unloaded, and this time she went far beyond political commentary. She’s fixated on how Erica Kirk looks, describing her as very intimate with J.D. Vance, sneering about what she called, quote, her saucy hot pants, and then pivoted into a lecture about race, hair, and boundaries. So I want you to hear Reed made it very clear she doesn’t want a hug from Erica Kirk. And cut number two, she talks about how inappropriate the suggestion of Erica Kirk hugging her is.

But the last thing I will say to Erica Kirk is this. Dear young lady, I don’t need a hug from you. First of all, I would never let you get close enough to hug me because I don’t trust you. And second of all, I don’t know if anybody ever told you you’re pretty young, but don’t be offering to touch black women’s hair. We don’t allow it. This is not the 19 teens. It’s not the 1920s or 1930s. You cannot come up to me, touch me or touch my hair. It won’t go. I don’t allow it. So don’t offer to do that because that’s not going to happen.

Wow. Yeah, she took this very personal. But she went a step further. That was just the beginning of it. She repeated her claim that the ultimate MAGA fairy tale would be for J.D. Vance to leave his wife, whom she described as a brown Hindu, and run off with a white queen like Erica Kirk. She’s accusing others of racism while reducing a sitting vice president’s marriage to race and religion, suggesting that his wife is a political inconvenience and that Erica Kirk would be the ultimate MAGA wife. And when that criticism, she was questioned about that. She wouldn’t walk it back. She said it’s not her being racist, that it’s MAGA, the whole MAGA movement, that that’s the problem. And they have a white Christmas. But for those of us in the South, for example, I can remember maybe two or three white Christmases in my lifetime. And I’ve been around for a while. I’m not going to tell you how long, but I’ve been around for a while. But it’s special, isn’t it? I remember years ago, we at the time… My wife Peg and I, we had a home at Caesar’s Head, which is in the mountains between, right on the North Carolina, South Carolina border. In fact, you could walk out of our house, walk across the street, and you’re in North Carolina. And my whole family was coming up. At that time, my grandmother, my grandma Lindsay, my mother’s mother, was with us, and she was coming up to stay with us. And we had a couple of little puppy dogs, Cocker Spaniels. We had one new one that was just a pup. And it started snowing, and I didn’t know that we were going to even be able to get there. But fortunately, we all got there. We got snowed in for Christmas, and it was just magical. And to look back at some of those photos, we kept a fire burning and had some good food, and it was just great. Many of you commenting on this story, this bit of a feud, that Joy Reid has picked with Erica Kirk. I don’t get the idea of people just piling on someone like Erica Kirk, who just lost her husband a few months ago. Now get it, she’s running the organization now. But why do they feel like they just have to continue to attack this lady? Reid did not stop with some of her comments about not wanting a hug from Erica Kirk. And again, Erica Kirk was just kind of making a light moment of saying, Joy Reid needs a hug for Christmas. And look, Joy Reid does need a hug for Christmas. I’m not going to offer to give it to her, but if Erica Kirk does, that’s fine. I think it’s great. But she went after Kirk in so many other ways. She was critical of her being a mother. She mocked her for working. She mocked her for being a single mom after the assassination of her husband. And she argued that Kirk now has a problem because she has to explain to, quote, white Christian nationalists why she’s working instead of staying home with her children. And all Erica Kirk said was, I think Joy Reid needs a hug. This… What’s happening here is not about a hug. We all know that. Erica Kirk represents something that Joy Reid and the left finds very threatening. She is young, she’s articulate, she’s pretty, she’s smart, unapologetically Christian. Yes, the left and people like Joy Reid are terrified of people like Erica Kirk. She leaves this massive grassroots program that she and Charlie built over the years. I mean, who else can get, I don’t know how many was finally there at America Fest, but I know there was probably more than 20,000. Who else can get 20 plus thousand young people to show up at an arena? I don’t think Joy Reid can. Do you? This especially, though, rattles the mainstream media and other figures like Joy Reid because they see their influence declining. This is the most attention Joy Reid has gotten in a while. And she wants those clicks. She would like for people to go to her podcast and listen to her podcast. So that’s why she’s in it. Erica Kirk has nothing to gain from it. Erica Kirk has a huge organization that I’m sure overwhelms her at times.
