SPEAKER 07 :
From the wild world of D.C. politics to America’s culture clash, brace yourself for the reality check you’ve been waiting for. The one and only Mike Gallagher Show. Sitting in for Mike today, here’s Joey Hudson.
SPEAKER 05 :
Welcome in on this final Monday of 2025. Glad to have you join me, Joey Hudson, in for Mike. We have a lot to cover. President Trump, of course, yesterday meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky at Mar-a-Lago. We have a lot of details for you on the progress of those peace talks. And former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. She sat down with Jonathan Karl over at ABC yesterday and wants us to believe that Back in 2020, during the president’s State of the Union speech, when she so proudly stood there behind the president and tore his speech up, you remember that? Remember that image? She claimed she didn’t mean to do it. She hadn’t planned to do it, that it wasn’t a stunt. Many of you… aren’t buying it, but we’re going to dive into that and give you the details of that. Minnesota’s back in the headlines as well. Politicians took to social media over the weekend after Nick Shirley released a video that shows him traveling around parts of Minnesota, primarily with his cell phone, and documenting some nursing or some daycare centers that have received millions and millions of dollars and aren’t even open. And as he pointed out in the video, in some of these buildings, you can tell that the snow, the parking lot, is covered with snow. It hasn’t been cleared this winter. And it doesn’t look like anyone’s been in some of these buildings for quite some time. And just a great story out of New York, Dominic Critelli, a 104 year old, World War II veteran, played the national anthem at the beginning of a hockey game, the New York Blue Islanders, and boy, what a response he received, and it was just a touching, touching moment. 800-655-6453 is how you join the conversation. Glad to have you with me on this Monday. President Trump yesterday, after meeting with President Zelensky, suggested that he would be willing to go to Ukraine and to convince its parliament to concede land to Russia if that’s what it takes to seal the deal. This is cut number five, and again, this was after they had met for some time, and Zelensky made it clear that he could not make the decision himself. that higher-ranking officials in the government and the Ukrainian parliament would have to agree to any type of deal that he agreed to with Russia. And the president basically just saying, well, hey, look, if you need help selling them on the deal, I’m good at that. I’m happy to go with you. Here’s cut number five, President Donald Trump.
SPEAKER 09 :
You know, I have no problem with doing it. Don’t anticipate it. Would like to get the deal done and not necessarily have to go. I’ve offered to go and speak to their parliament. And, you know, if that would help, I don’t know if that would help. I think it would probably help, but I don’t even know if that’s… You’re welcome. Yeah, I know, I know. Always. So I’m not sure that it would be really necessary, but if it would help save 25,000 lives a month or whatever it may be, I would certainly be willing to do that.
SPEAKER 05 :
Hey, look, if it helps seal the deal, I say the president should go, don’t you? I mean, we have to solve this. We have to stop this war because, quite frankly, I’m tired of sending billions of dollars over there, and I believe you are too. According to everyone who was involved in the meeting over the weekend, They made progress. The president said that they’re 95 percent in agreement about much of what President Zelensky has proposed in a 20-point peace plan. But he did acknowledge that there are certain issues, and those issues is very simple. Land, some of the territory that Russia has taken control over as they invaded Ukraine. Ukraine may have to just understand that they may have to give some of that up. Now, I know they don’t want to, but several times President Zelensky talked about negotiating from strength. Well, the only way he negotiates with strength is because he knows that so far Americans have sent him billions to back that up. He can’t do it on his own. And, again, I think Americans are ready to stop sending our taxpayer dollars over there. We have too many things here in our own country that need those dollars, like paying our debt down, for example. The president greeted Zelensky. You saw the two men meeting outside of Mar-a-Lago as he arrived. He stepped out beside Zelensky. He said, I do believe we have the makings of a deal, final stages, and we think this could move rapidly. The president was Zelensky by his side in cut number four, said he thinks that both sides share responsibility for the continuation of the war, but he also believes, and he did speak with President Putin over the weekend as well, he said he believes that both parties are ready to end this. Cut number four.
SPEAKER 09 :
Russia wants to see Ukraine succeed once. It sounds a little strange, but I was explaining to the president. President Putin was very generous in his feeling toward Ukraine succeeding, including supplying energy, electricity and other things at very low prices.
SPEAKER 05 :
President, again, speaking right after their meeting. Now, we’re told inside the room with President Trump was Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and, of course, Jared Kushner, who has become increasingly visible in foreign affairs. We’ve got to get this over, folks. We’ve got to end this. And I think we’re headed there. And I share the president’s optimism just based on what he said. And he made some pretty bold statements. I don’t think you say some of the things that President Trump said if you’re not confident that you’re real close to getting a deal done. We’ll see. 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453 is how you join the conversation. Text me on the MyPillow text line. Call. Alex will put you in queue. We’ll talk as time permits. And, of course, you can email me directly, joey at joeyhudson.com. Glad to have you join me on this final Monday of 2025.

SPEAKER 1 :
Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 05 :
Joey Hudson in for Mike. Glad to have you join me today. 800-655-6453 as we look across St. Paul, Minnesota. If you’re watching us on the Salem News Channel, a lot of text messages and people commenting on the meeting over the weekend with President Zelensky. And just what you think about our involvement in Ukraine. and the billions of dollars that we have already sent and could potentially send more if this conflict is not ended very quickly. President Zelensky posted on X saying, priority number one is ending the war. The priority is peace. We must be strong at the negotiating table, and to be strong we need support from Europe and the U.S. In other words, he’s admitting that they can’t do it on their own, And they need us standing behind them. They need Russia to understand we’re standing behind them to get this deal done. He wants peace, but he’s not walking into the room weak without that support. Then we have Russia and where they stand. And as I mentioned, President Trump talked with President Putin as well. President Trump revealed something the media jumped on very quickly. He spoke to Putin by the phone before saying that it was a good and productive phone call. Now, no transcript has been released, no details offered other than that, but any time a U.S. president is talking privately to Moscow and to Kiev within hours, you’ve got to understand, I think there’s probably more to this than we’re being told, and maybe they’re further along than we understand. Here’s another quote that grabbed headlines. President Trump told Politico, he doesn’t have anything until I approve it, meaning nothing. that Zelensky doesn’t have anything until we sign off on it because, again, basically he’s negotiating with our money. Again, Zelensky suggesting that he’s going to have to sell Parliament on the whole idea and the President talking about maybe traveling over to help him do that. 800-655-6453. Are you like me? Are you just ready for this to end? I mean, I’m tired of reading… the continued loss of life on both sides. And again, I don’t think this war would have lasted this long had we not stepped in and supplied a lot of the financial support to make this happen. Let’s go to the phones. Malcolm is waiting patiently. Malcolm, you’re on the Mike Gallagher show.
SPEAKER 04 :
Hi, you just played that clip where Trump said that… Now, why would you say that?
SPEAKER 05 :
Tell me, Malcolm, he’s in there trying to get this resolved. Why would you say that the president is stupid? Why? Yeah, I mean, really.
SPEAKER 04 :
Because he sent a real estate developer in there to be his main negotiator, a guy who knows nothing about Russia or Ukraine.
SPEAKER 05 :
But he’s been successful in other countries. I mean, look at some of the other deals that they put together.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, yeah, let’s send totally inexperienced, unqualified people in to do stuff. That’s just brilliant, Joey.
SPEAKER 05 :
Look, Malcolm. Yeah, look, Malcolm. We’ve got to have people in there who will have the respect and will sit down at the table with all the parties involved. And believe me, and I’m sure you’re referring to Jared Kushner and to Steve Witkoff, and again, look at what they’ve done so far in Israel. Yes, that conflict’s not over, but it’s a lot further along. than it was when President Trump took office. And so many of the Abraham Accords, I mean, you can go through a list of things that Trump and his team have been part of. I’m going to go out on a limb here and suggest that Malcolm probably didn’t support President Trump. Do you agree? Do you think Malcolm is a Democrat? Do you think maybe he’s a bit on the left side there? 800-655-6453. But, hey, you know what? Malcolm has his opinion. He has because we live in this great nation. He can come on the Mike Gallagher Show and express that opinion. I’m happy to have him do that. 800-655-6453. Richard, you’re on the Mike Gallagher Show.
SPEAKER 10 :
Hey, Richard, you with us? Yes. How are you doing? I’m just curious. A complete change of pace from what we were talking about before. But there used to be a New Jersey disc jockey named Georgie Hudson. Hey, here comes Georgie Hudson. He’s our favorite guy. And he was a really top-notch oldies DJ in the 50s when oldies were newies. And I’m just… And just out of curiosity, are you any relation to Georgie Hudson?
SPEAKER 05 :
I don’t know that I am, Richard, but I will say this. I’m told by my grandparents, they said that most of the Hudsons who live in the upstate of South Carolina moved here from that area of the country, the Hudson River. We’re direct descendants of Henry Hudson, so maybe somewhere along the way we were related, but I don’t know Georgie.
SPEAKER 10 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 05 :
I was just curious. Thanks for the… Sure thing. Appreciate your call. 800-655-6453. Some text messages. Oh, hey, Joey, that was awesome. I had to pull off the road and watch him play God Bless the USA. This is in reference to… I shared with you a little earlier, and we’ll do it again sometime before the end of the hour, a 104-year-old World War II veteran. who played the national anthem at the beginning of a hockey game in New Jersey on Saturday, and he brought the house down. This is the kind of story that just makes you feel good, that makes you proud of the country you live in, that makes you proud that we can stand there, we can sing our national anthem, and that we know that the freedoms that we have grown to love are protected. And this guy protected them. He went over. He fought at Normandy. And can you imagine the stories… over 104 years old and he didn’t look a day over maybe 90 uh but he could play the saxophone and he brought the house down we’ll share that with you a little bit uh later this hour as well 800-655-6453 glad to have you on this uh monday edition of the mike gallagher show mike will be back next week i’m with you all week as we ring in the new year and um boy that we have a lot to look forward to in 2026. It’s going to be a busy year, and we’re going to have a big part to play in that here on the Mike Gallagher Show. I’m Joey Hudson, in for Mike.
Joey Hudson in for Mike today. Boy, did we have a lot of breaking news and lots to cover. Had a busy, busy weekend after Christmas. Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi says she didn’t mean to tear up the State of the Union speech back in 2020. You remember that? when the president, of course, the speaker, along with the president of the Senate, gets a copy of the speech, and she stood there behind the president tearing it up, ripping it page by page. She says she didn’t mean to on an interview with ABC’s Jonathan Karl yesterday. We have some of the highlights for that. Minnesota’s back in the headlines again as well. This is a new fraud investigation. Nick Shirley was able to go around, and he found some daycare centers that had received reportedly millions of dollars in taxpayer dollars, and they weren’t even open. Didn’t appear they’d been open for quite some time. We have that story for you. And, of course, yesterday President Trump met with President Zelensky. He spoke with President Putin on the phone as they were trying to forge a peace agreement to stop the war in Ukraine. So a lot to cover. And, of course, your phone call, your comments as well, 800-655-6453. 800-655-MIKE is how you call. Alex will put you in queue. We’ll talk as time permits. You can text me on the MyPillow text line as well. Always use promo code MikeG when you go to MyPillow.com. And, of course, you can email me directly, Joey, at JoeyHudson.com. So who is believing Nancy Pelosi’s story? You know, there are moments in politics that… sort of a snapshot in your mind. You can just visualize something that happened. And I can do that when it comes to Nancy Pelosi standing in the chamber of the U.S. House of Representatives during a joint session of Congress to hear President Trump’s State of the Union. This was in February of 2020. I can remember vividly her standing there with a big smile on her face, ripping, tearing to shreds the president’s speech. It’s the most disrespectful thing I’ve ever seen someone who claims to be a leader do. And Nancy Pelosi was proud of it. She loved it. She got all the attention. The left applauded her. Well, she’s now, as she’s going to be leaving the House next year, I guess maybe she’s getting a little concerned about her legacy. And she did an interview over the weekend, yesterday actually, with Jonathan Karl on ABC. And in this, in cut number six, Pelosi actually says she did not mean to do this, that it wasn’t a planned thing, that it just sort of happened. I guess the devil made her do it. Here’s Nancy Pelosi.
SPEAKER 06 :
People like the tearing up of the speech. I didn’t intend to go to speech to tear it up, but I just, the first part of it, I tore a page because he was lying, and then the next page, and then the next page. I thought it was a manifesto of lies all throughout, so I better just tear up the whole speech. Now, the speeches are on… Strong paper. So you have to do it a few times to get it done. But I had no intention of doing it. I thought my staff was going to die.
SPEAKER 05 :
I had no intention of doing that. 800-655-6453. Text me. Call me. If you believe that. Anybody who believes that Nancy Pelosi was telling the truth on ABC when she said she had not planned that. I mean, this moment, and again, the left applauded her. But I think she knew as soon as Donald Trump walked in the chamber of the U.S. House, I think she had planned to do this. And she claims that her staff was just so upset about it. Well, they should be. They should be embarrassed. But I’m not buying it, do you? I mean, do you believe Nancy Pelosi really did? had not intended to tear that this was just something she thought of at the last minute as the president is there to give a speech. In this interview as well, she touched on another viral moment, and she’s had a few. Nancy Pelosi’s had a few viral moments over the years. You remember the photograph of her standing in the cabinet room The president’s directly across from her. She’s standing there. The rest of the senior administration officials and Trump cabinet, along with the president, are sitting there. And she’s standing there with her finger pointed at the president. She turns and walks out. She told Jonathan Karl… what she said to the president. And if you listen to these two, Jonathan Karl is kind of encouraging her, like, you know, boy, you stared them down, Nancy. They seemed like they were afraid that you were in the room. Listen to this exchange. This is cut number one with Nancy Pelosi.
SPEAKER 06 :
We went to the cabinet room to have a meeting, leadership and the leadership of the executive branch on security and the rest, and it was insane. A horrible meeting. I think those people must have been embarrassed. If you look at the picture while I’m looking at them, they’ve got their heads down.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, you see General Milley is kind of looking down.
SPEAKER 06 :
But you know what I’m saying when I go out the door? What? I’m leaving here because I’ve had it with you, Mr. President. With you, all roads lead to Putin.
SPEAKER 05 :
Did you hear her? And did you hear Jonathan Karl kind of encouraging her? She’s saying, I think they were embarrassed. Why would they be embarrassed? You’re the one who should have been embarrassed, Madam former Speaker, standing there pointing your finger at the President of the United States. But this is how Nancy Pelosi operates. I mean, that was the year before she tore up the speech. Jonathan Karl talked about her legacy as she prepares to leave Congress. And he asked her, how do you want to be remembered? Not for the speech, not for the viral photo. I mean, she actually was still proud of the viral photo. If you’ll recall, the White House actually released the photo. They sent it out. She’s proud of it. It’s a badge of honor for her. Most people, most Americans were embarrassed for her that she would be, again, disrespectful to the President of the United States and his senior staff, his senior cabinet-level people. 800-655-6453, 800-655-MIKE. Your comments are welcome on the MyFellow text line. Give me a quick call. Alice Pachukwu will talk as time permits. I’m Joey Hudson, in for Mike today.

SPEAKER 05 :
Joey Hudson in for Mike. Glad to have you join me. Let me take just a minute here before we jump back into this issue with Nancy Pelosi. And thank you for your huge response to our Angel Tree campaign this year. We’re almost to that 9,000 mark. You may recall that before Mike left for Christmas, he asked me if we could get him to $9,000. And we are so close. We need about, let’s see, maybe $65 or so more to step up and do a $30 donation. Or, hey, look, if you can do $150, if you can do… If you can do 10, if you can do 1,000, 2,000, because I’d love to be able to get to the 9,000 mark. And I know some of you are saying, well, Christmas is over, and I get that. But here’s what you need to understand about Prison Fellowship. Their ministry is year-round. And, yes, we blessed a lot of kids with Christmas. And, boy, that was just fun to be a part of. But Prison Fellowship, they’ve moved on, and they’re now working towards their summer camps, where they also take these kids who have a mom or a dad, or in some cases both, to a summer camp, a camp that they wouldn’t be able to go to otherwise. And they give them God’s Word, a Bible. So we continue to support Prison Fellowship year-round. And the other day on Friday, if you missed Friday’s show, I had a caller. Her name was Kathy. who just called on a topic, and as we were wrapping up the call, she said, by the way, thank you for what you’re doing, and thank the Mike Gallagher Show and the Salem News Channel, Salem Radio Network, everybody involved, because I was in prison at one point, and my kids benefited from the Angel Tree program. Here’s Kathy. I want you to hear this for yourself.
SPEAKER 02 :
I myself was in prison for four years, and Angel Tree never failed. My kids got a gift from me every year, and I’m so thankful for that. Everybody that’s donating, you’re donating to a great cause. You really are, because these kids go through so much, which nothing is their fault, but kids will think funny things sometimes. Oh, Mom’s in prison because we did something bad. It’s a great organization, and I’m happy to put whatever extra money I might have into it.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yep, and, you know, again, just a great story from Kathy, unsolicited. She just happened to be calling about a topic and her story of how her kids benefited from this program. So will you help me get to the 9,000 today? Will you step up, give 150, give 500, give 1,000, whatever you can to get us to that 9,000? Again, we only need about 65 or so. And if you would do that, if you go to MikeOnline.com right now, Click on the Angel Tree banner. It’s right across the top of the website. You can’t miss it. And give generously. Help me to get us to that. And remember, this is a tax-deductible gift. And at the end of the year here, maybe if you’re looking for some final last-minute deductions for your 2025 taxes, this is a great program to help out. So go to MikeOnline.com, click on the Angel Tree banner, and give generously. And help me to get to that $9,000, if you will. All right, back to the phones. Don is waiting patiently. Don, you’re on the Mike Gallagher show.
SPEAKER 03 :
Joey Hutchins, you’ve been doing such a great job for Mike. I listen to you guys every day, and this is the first time I’ve called a Mike Gallagher show.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, thank you, Don. Thank you for calling.
SPEAKER 03 :
You’re very welcome. The thing about Nancy Pelosi, it’s hard not to say something completely negative about the lady because if I accidentally run something over with my car, I didn’t mean to do it. Of course, right? You can’t rip something up. And say you didn’t mean to do it. You can’t do something intentionally. And later on, it’s like the Democrats, they play this word game. It’s almost like all politicians, really. I had to call because I just found that so ridiculous and kind of disgusting, really.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, it really is, isn’t it, Don? Because she thinks that we’re just that stupid, that we’re going to believe that she didn’t. And if you remember, Don, it wasn’t like she just ripped one page. She stood there and tore page after page after page.
SPEAKER 03 :
Unbelievable. So much disrespect. I don’t know how she still… a member of Congress, right?
SPEAKER 05 :
Yep. And thank goodness she’s not going to be after 2026, Don. She’s going to retire, and we’re not going to have to deal with Nancy Pelosi again. Hey, Don, appreciate you calling. Glad you chose me to call. to make your first phone call to the Mike Gallagher show. Have a happy new year. And Don’s right. You know, I think the biggest thing about that, and Don mentioned her disrespect to President Trump, and it was very disrespectful, but it was also disrespectful to her office, to the office of the Speaker of the House, because she was Speaker of the House at the time. And, you know, she just made herself look like an idiot. But in her mind, she was the star. This was a big thing. She stood up to Donald Trump by ripping his speech. Back to the phones. Sonny is in Florida. Welcome, Sonny. You’re on the Mike Gallagher show.
SPEAKER 13 :
Good morning, Joey. Glad to hear you on the radio.
SPEAKER 05 :
Thank you, sir.
SPEAKER 13 :
It’s a crying shame that nobody ever goes after her. She’s been a peddler-influencing person, peddled influence or whatever you want to call it. And the fact that she does under-the-table stock dealings and everything else, she was caught, but nothing ever happens. Why? Because she’s Democrat? Yeah. I keep remembering the young appointed or elected Santos from the Republican side from New York, and he had to resign even before he got into office because so-called lying. Excuse me, when aren’t they Democrats lying?
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, Nancy Pelosi, she is a very powerful woman. In fact, she’s the most powerful woman probably in the U.S. Congress, even though she’s still not Speaker. And she and her husband, they’ve gotten very rich off of her service in the U.S. House. And, you know, the stock trades, they shouldn’t be allowed to do it. But her husband has done that, and that’s her argument is, well, he’s doing it, I’m not, as if she doesn’t know what he’s doing, as if she doesn’t know the trades and she’s not sharing information with him. 800-655-6453. Your calls are welcome as well. Alex will put you in queue. We’ll talk as time permits. Text me on the My Fellow text line. I’m Joey Hudson, in for Mike today.
