In this episode, Kim Munson and her guests dissect the ever-relevant topics of politics, freedom, and the pursuit of informed civic engagement. As discussions touch on governmental accountability and transparency in elections, listeners are encouraged to examine the forces shaping policy. Featuring notable quotes from Medal of Honor recipients and inspirational anecdotes about courage and valiant efforts, the show emphasizes the importance of perseverance and informed participation in the democratic process. A segment on the renowned center dedicated to American values highlights the importance of preserving liberty and the American spirit.
SPEAKER 02 :
It’s the Kim Munson Show, analyzing the most important stories.
SPEAKER 03 :
An early childhood taxing district? What on earth is that?
SPEAKER 02 :
The latest in politics and world affairs.
SPEAKER 03 :
I don’t think that we should be passing legislation that is so complicated that people kind of throw up their hands and say, I can’t understand that.
SPEAKER 02 :
Today’s current opinions and ideas.
SPEAKER 03 :
And it’s not fair just because you’re a big business that you get a break on this and the little guy doesn’t.
SPEAKER 02 :
Is it freedom or is it force? Let’s have a conversation.
SPEAKER 03 :
Indeed, let’s have a conversation. And welcome to the Kim Munson Show. Thank you so much for joining us. You’re each treasured. You’re valued. You have purpose. Today you strive for excellence. Take care of your heart, your soul, your mind, and your body, my friends. We were made for this moment in history. And thank you to the team, Producer Joe, Luke, Rachel, Zach, Echo, Charlie, Mike, and all the people here at Crawford Broadcasting. And I want to welcome Teresa to the team. So very excited about that, Producer Joe.
SPEAKER 18 :
Yeah, it’ll be a fun, interesting experience.
SPEAKER 03 :
It will be great. I’m looking forward to that. Check out the website. That is Kim Munson, M-O-N-S-O-N.com. Sign up for our weekly email newsletter. You’ll get first look at our upcoming guests as well as our most recent essays. You can email me at kim at kimmunson.com. Thank you to all of you who support us. We’re an independent voice, and we search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. And it’s never compassionate to take other people’s stuff, whether or not it’s their rights, their property, freedom, livelihood, opportunities, or lives via force. And force can be a weapon, obviously, but policy, unpredictable and excessive taxation, fear, coercion, government-induced inflation, the World Economic Forum agenda, the globalist elites agenda, the United Nations, the Colorado State Legislature, Colorado governor, World Health Organization, land use codes, zoning regulations, rules, forced fees. And isn’t there a song that goes and the list goes on and on and on, Producer Joe? Yeah.
SPEAKER 18 :
I think so. I can’t think of it off the top of my head, though.
SPEAKER 03 :
But I think there’s something like that. And remember, if something’s a good idea, you should not have to use force to implement it. It should be able to stand on its own in the battle of ideas out there. And we focus on the issues, not the personalities. We certainly will talk about people pushing those issues. But we’re trying to stay out of all the eighth grade issues. fighting that is happening here in Colorado. Pleased to have in studio with me my friend Kane. He is the founder of Task Force Freedom in Northern Colorado. Great to have you here.
SPEAKER 15 :
Thank you, Kim. Thank you.
SPEAKER 03 :
You sound like you have a little bit of a cold.
SPEAKER 15 :
I had a cold. Now it’s just my voice is doing something weird. I
SPEAKER 03 :
that when that happens it happens but it’s good to have you here and in the third and fourth segment of this hour number one i want to talk about the election and uh what you think that means for our children nationally yes ma’am uh we really have a challenge here still in colorado um so we’ll talk about that when we we get into the third and fourth segment our word of the day is an easy one to use in a sentence today it is compel c-o-m-p-e-l transitive verb number one could be to force a person to do something to drive or constrain, synonym, force. The second is to necessitate or require, as by force of circumstance or demand, or to exert a strong, irresistible force on or sway. I think that’s gonna be an easy one for people to use in a sentence today, Kane.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yes, ma’am. Can I say this real quick? Yeah. You cannot have equal rights if there are special rights.
SPEAKER 03 :
Where did you hear that?
SPEAKER 15 :
I don’t know. Some famous lady.
SPEAKER 03 :
Did you hear that someplace?
SPEAKER 15 :
Someplace. Every day almost.
SPEAKER 03 :
Almost Monday through Friday, right?
SPEAKER 15 :
Yes, ma’am.
SPEAKER 03 :
And since it is Friday, I go to the quote book from the Center for American Values. And it’s a great little book. And in fact, Drew Dix, who’s one of the co-founders… I said that it’s the perfect size that our military can put it in their side pocket and have it there for inspiration. And it’s a beautiful gift. And it’s quotes from many of the Medal of Honor recipients that are highlighted there at the Center for American Values. They have these portraits of valor of all of these different guys. And it’s pretty amazing. And so our quote today is from John F. Baker Jr., not United States Army. born 1945, died in 2012, and this first of all is his citation, and then sometimes I get into the citation so much that I forget to give the quote, so help me remember to do that. This is what he did. For conspicuous gallantry, and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty. En route to assist another unit that was engaged with the enemy, Company A came under intense enemy fire and the lead man was killed instantly. Sergeant Baker immediately moved to the head of the column and together with another soldier knocked out two enemy bunkers. And that, I think, Kane, that’s being the point. And that is one of the most dangerous things to be the front guy out there. Yes, ma’am.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yes, ma’am.
SPEAKER 03 :
So goes on to say, when his comrade was mortally wounded, Sergeant Baker, spotting four Viet Cong snipers, killed all of them, evacuated the fallen soldier, and returned to lead repeated assaults against the enemy positions, killing several more Viet Cong. Moving to attack two additional enemy bunkers, he and another soldier drew intense enemy fire, and Sergeant Baker was blown from his feet by an enemy grenade. Wow. He quickly recovered and single-handedly destroyed one bunker before the other soldier was wounded. Seizing his fallen comrade’s machine gun, Sergeant Baker charged through the deadly fusillade to silence the other bunker. When they say that, that means stuff.
SPEAKER 15 :
That means that he took care of business.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 03 :
He evacuated his comrade, replenished his ammunition, and returned to the forefront to brave the enemy fire and continue the fight. When the Ford element was ordered to withdraw, he carried one wounded man to the rear. As he returned to evacuate another soldier, he was taken under fire by snipers, but raced beyond the friendly troops to attack and kill the snipers. After evacuating the wounded man, he returned to cover the deployment of the unit. His ammunition now exhausted, he dragged two more of his fallen comrades to the rear. Sergeant Baker’s selfless heroism, indomitable fighting spirit, and extraordinary gallantry were directly responsible for saving the lives of several of his comrades and inflicting serious damage on the enemy. His acts were in keeping with the highest traditions of the U.S. Army and reflect great credit upon himself and the armed forces of his country.” Okay, and when I read this, it’s like, I say to myself, okay, no complaining. We are gonna engage in this battle of ideas and stay on it.
SPEAKER 15 :
In fact, I love these stories because it lets us know that as men, as American citizens, we can fight. Fortunately, we don’t have to have that physical battle right now like this gentleman, but we should be able to fight. I joined the military out of high school, and I became a police officer for about five years. He had to be terrified at every turn. He had to be petrified, but it’s courage. It’s the courage that says, I’m afraid, but if I don’t do this, my men, my soldiers, my fellow soldiers will be killed. We need to take that same exact approach today. If we don’t defend children today, we will lose our country. And so we have to take that same courage and push forward and fight through the pain, fight through the fear, fight through the criticism that we would get from our friends and relatives to protect our future generations. And I love these stories. I love their courage because people don’t understand fear. Fear is just a physical reaction. It’s courage that says, I’m going to use that fear to push forward and protect our community and our country.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, and I agree. These stories are so inspirational. And that is why I have adopted the Center for American Values as a nonprofit that I really support. It’s located in Pueblo on the Riverwalk. And they have portraits of valor of over 160 of our Medal of Honor recipients. And I’m always inspired. It… It gets me going for another 100,000 miles. But the other thing about this, Cain, is they trained. And so the battle of ideas, we have to train. And I would recommend one of the trainings is to listen to the Kim Munson show on a regular basis because we’re trying to help you with all these experts, get your brain around these issues so that you can engage in this battle of ideas that is raging today.
SPEAKER 15 :
I can tell you what it’s done for me, and I’ve been listening to you for several years now, and it’s enlightened me to understand we are under attack by our own government from every single angle. I listen to Trent, and I’m like, oh, my gosh, they’re going after our farmers. Our food source. Our food source. And so… They tax us, they take our money, and then they use it against the American people. Our government has turned against us. And the more I’ve listened to your show, every single time I’m like, oh my gosh, they’re doing that to us too?
SPEAKER 03 :
So we need to be informed.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yes, ma’am.
SPEAKER 03 :
So that we can engage in this battle of ideas. And that’s why we do the show. And Colonel Rutledge had said, Kim, you need to let people know where they can listen. And so KLZ 560 AM and all of our platforms, which is KLZ 560. 100.7 FM, the website, and the app. We’re on 6 to 8 a.m. live, except special weeks. And then the first hour is rebroadcast 1 to 2 in the afternoon, the second hour 10 to 11 at night. The quote from John F. Baker, Jr., United States Army Medal of Honor recipient, is this. He said, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness come with a very high price. The lives of millions of Americans who who gallantly fought for those cherished values.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh my gosh. Isn’t that great? It’s amazing. And I think we as men, we as the Lions, we have to embrace that. and push forward, embrace what this gentleman just said about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It has always been the individual that forced the government to implement the laws, to push the laws. It’s just been regular people that says, no, no, no, that’s against the law, I expect you to fix that. If we don’t stand up as men, and I implore you men, please step forward and lead Lead our country. Lead your families. Protect your babies. I would ask that you go to taskforcefreedom, nocode.com, and take a look at the pornography that they are presenting to your kids in these government schools.
SPEAKER 03 :
We don’t really like to recommend pornography on this show, but that’s what’s happening.
SPEAKER 15 :
you have to go because people like i don’t want you to take my word we have an amazing website you can go to uh no northern colorado’s um school districts and just look up the book and and that’s what it is is when you say pornography you’re talking about the things that are in our schools for our children to see so we’re going to talk some more about that there’s a
SPEAKER 03 :
A couple of other things that I wanted to mention. First of all, Hooters Restaurants is a great sponsor of both the shows, and they have been for many years. And, Kane, I will be starting my seventh year solo broadcasting at the beginning of January, and Hooters Restaurants has been sponsored since before then. And they have five locations, Loveland, Aurora, Lone Tree, Westminster, and Colorado Springs. And how I got to know them, it’s a really important story about freedom and free markets and capitalism. You can find that at my website. Also wanted to say thank you to Laramie Energy for their goal sponsorship of the show because it is reliable, efficient, affordable, and abundant energy that fuels our lives and powers our hopes and dreams. So not only is our food affordable, under attack, our fuel is under attack as well. And Jenny, and I didn’t, I got this over here, she had said it’s fuel, food, and fiber. And then Trent, I think, added in for a freedom and a free future. So I’ve got to add all that in. So thank you on that. Then the other thing is, Cain, is the radical activists never sleep. And normally, we do an election, and we may have business people that spend a lot of money that come in to try to defeat some of this bad stuff, which we had bad stuff. And then people want to go back to their families, their businesses, all those things, and we’ve got to make sure that we’re engaged in this battle together. right now so i thought i would wait till after thanksgiving but i’m not yes because uh our colorado 2024 election project we’ve got our two lawsuits out there today i will be sending an email to all of the county clerks uh in colorado following up with a phone call and with a u.s mail letter they’re they’re supposed to certify this election by next wednesday became the fact that the Colorado Secretary of State’s office had the bios passwords for our voting machines on the public website for over four months, and I think that’s a problem. And I went down and attended the hearing that the Libertarian Party, bless them, had brought forth regarding this against the Secretary of State’s office, and my reaction My read on the judge’s determination was that nobody’s proved that any bad actors did any nefarious stuff, so everything’s okay. And the Colorado Secretary of State said that they’re investigating themselves, and so that’s probably fine. I have a problem with that. Yes, ma’am. And so we are going we are requesting that county clerks delay certifying this election until they can do we can do an audit and a hand count. And if you First of all, if you want to see that letter that we’re going to be sending to the county clerks, just text me at 720-605-0647 and give me your email address and I will email you a copy. And then I would also recommend that you might just give your county clerk a call and recommend that they delay certification until we have an audit and a hand count.
SPEAKER 15 :
Absolutely.
SPEAKER 03 :
So game on.
SPEAKER 15 :
You would think that, I don’t call the Democrat Party Democrats anymore. I call them Marxists and Communists. I have a shorter term called a Marxicom, is what they are, Marxicoms. But you would think they would want full disclosure. They would want everything up front to say, wait a minute, that does look weird. Let’s all investigate together. But criminals don’t do that. Criminals, I mean, and law enforcement, they’re going to fight until you stop them. And this is what these people do. And I’m sorry if I’m too, I didn’t mean to call people names. My wife goes, play nice. I’m like, okay. But they’re criminals. Well, we have to be careful on that. We have to be careful calling them criminals. Okay. They are not the most honest people on the planet.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, and we want to give them the opportunity to show us how honest they are.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 03 :
And that would be with this hand count and audit. So that’s what we’re going to work on.
SPEAKER 15 :
And excuse me for calling them criminals. I deal with school boards a lot, and they’re criminals. Okay. I have the laws to prove it, federal and state laws. They are 100% criminals. Okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, we’re going to… it’s always interesting um gosh there is so much that i have for you um but i want to i want to get get over here and talk to susan kochavar and so before we do that roger mangan was in yesterday state farm agent he’s been in business for 48 years and i just am so inspired by him and alice his wife and just what they have done to take care of their clients and their family and giving back to the community. Sign up for our weekly email newsletter. You can email me at Kim at KimMunson.com as well. And thank you to all of you who support us. We’re an independent voice. We search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. something’s a good idea you should not have to force people to do it my friend kane is in studio and this came in on the text line it says good morning kim and kane kane is he says my favorite negro for governor yes oh my gosh what do you think of that eric i don’t think so i think uh
SPEAKER 15 :
No, I like this position and I can do better work here instead of getting involved in government because you can’t say some of the things that I say when you’re a politician.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, so thank you and thank you to Eric. And I want to make sure I did give the website for the Center for American Values. It is AmericanValueCenter.org. That is AmericanValueCenter.org and they’re located in Pueblo. On the beautiful Riverwalk. Great. Just, I think, a great little trip over to Pueblo. Visit the center. They have got great restaurants. The Riverwalk is so cool there on the Arkansas River. And again, that website is AmericanValueCenter.org. We have on the line with me an entrepreneur, owner of 88 Drive-In Theater, a partner of the Kim Munson Show, Susan Kochevar. Welcome, Susan. morning kim and kane good morning so you are doing something so special this weekend coming into thanksgiving week at the center and we’ve had danny roebuck the star of this film saint nick of bethlehem on a couple of times you connected us and he had just great things to say about you on wednesday morning but tonight it begins and so what’s going to happen at the 88 88 drive-in theater
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, tonight we’ll start with the Saint Nick of Bethlehem that starts at 7 p.m. And then after that, we have National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. And we have an appearance by Cousin Eddie on Saturday night. You can get a… PICTURE TAKEN WITH THAT NOW COUSIN EDDIE IS JUST SOMEONE DRESSED AS COUSIN EDDIE IT’S NOT THE ACTUAL ACTOR BUT IT’S STILL GOING TO BE FUN WE HAVE LOTS OF HOT CHOCOLATE AND FUNNEL CAKES AND PIZZAS SO COME ON IN AND ENJOY BOTH MOVIES AND YOU’RE RIGHT THIS IS SUCH Such a cute movie, and Danny Roebuck is such a warm, genuine person. It’s been a pleasure to get to meet him and his wife, and I’m very happy that they are producing movies. We need choice and competition, and they are an independent producer, and I really like to support that.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I love that. And somehow your weather committee is doing quite the job, Susan, because today it’s supposed to have a high of 61, tomorrow a high of 63, and Sunday a high of 57. And so what a fun thing to do with the family. Joe and I were talking as we were coming up in the elevator, and he’s bringing the whole family out. I want to make it. I’m not sure I’m going to, but I’m going to try. But Saturday night, getting your picture taken with Cousin Eddie, you’re so creative.
SPEAKER 07 :
well National Lampoon Christmas Vacation is such a classic and so many people really enjoy that last year we had a fellow that came in and his station wagon looked just like the one from National Lampoon with the Christmas tree on top of it it was all decorated and playing music and I hope he shows up again this weekend people really like to participate and it’s so much fun oh that is just awesome and then you will have your famous popcorn yes
SPEAKER 03 :
Absolutely. Plenty of it. Okay. And then hot chocolate. It sounds like just a great, memorable time. And how does it work? Do you charge per person or how does that work?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yes. $10 per person and children under 12 are free. So you can bring the whole family and it won’t break the bank. Our snack bar prices are reasonable. We have a full dinner menu. So you can come to snack or you can enjoy dinner and a movie. And the pizzas are fantastic, by the way.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. So 7 o’clock is when the movies start. So what time would you recommend that people get there?
SPEAKER 07 :
I would get there at 6.30 so you can get your spot. This time of year, we’re probably not going to be super packed. There’s a lot of stuff going on, but come at 6.30, pick your spot, and tune in your radio once the picture starts and enjoy yourself.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, and how does that work, Susan, as well? I remember as a kid, you had this big clunky thing that you had to try to get it to fit on your window. How does it work in these new times?
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, the sound comes to you through your car’s stereo. It’s an FM station, so you can tune that in. The snack bar folks can give you a hand with that if you have trouble with it. Now, you can bring portable stereo with you as well. That works, too, if you don’t want to run your car. Okay. So it works off batteries, and that will pick up the station, too.
SPEAKER 15 :
And, Susan, if I can say this, God bless you for running that business. I have a background in the restaurant business. For 20 years, I’ve owned about… three or four different restaurants and people don’t understand the work that goes into a restaurant and uh i’m you’ve got to be a superhero like kim to to be able to tackle that type of business yeah thanks for saying that yeah it is about you know um 10 to 18 hours a day in the summer yes ma’am absolutely i get it so what’s the website for people to get more information susan kochavar
SPEAKER 07 :
88drivein.net, and you can also find us on Facebook at 88drivein and see the post and everything that’s going on.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, and then tonight, Friday the 22nd, Saturday the 23rd, and Sunday the 24th, right? At 7 o’clock is when the movie’s going to start on each of these nights. Correct, yep. Okay, got it. Oh, that sounds like fun, Susan. And happy Thanksgiving to you and yours if I don’t make it out there to see you.
SPEAKER 07 :
Sounds good. Thank you to you and happy Thanksgiving to everyone and the station there and Kane.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, and the station, Mike has done a great job promoting the movie also. Susan, I really thank him for that.
SPEAKER 07 :
Oh, yes, absolutely. You know, these independent producers, one of the reasons why… main pictures do so well is because they have all that studio advertising behind them. This one doesn’t have any studio advertising behind it. It’s not got a national campaign. So what it does is whatever business the movie generates is what we’ve pushed out there. So I’m so appreciative to Mike. It’s so important to get these independent producers so that we can have a counter to what’s coming out of Hollywood.
SPEAKER 03 :
Absolutely. So Susan Kochavar, bless you. Happy Thanksgiving and we’ll talk soon. Thanks, Kim. Okay. And let’s see. I didn’t do this day in history yet. So I had five things that I was going to mention. Because I think it’s important. We’re looking to the future, Kane. And we have to be engaged, as you say, in this battle for our children. But our country was founded on… Men and women who thought about posterity. What can we pass on to that next generation? That’s why this quote from John F. Baker, Jr., Medal of Honor recipient, Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness comes with a very high price. The lives of millions of Americans who gallantly fought for those cherished values. So as we look forward, we have that responsibility. George Washington did not have any biological children. Right. But he put it on the line many times because he believed in something bigger than just himself. And so I think that’s why we look to the future. But I also like to say, let’s look in the rear view mirror here. And so I had five things I was going to mention. 1497, Portuguese navigator Vasco da Gama rounds the Cape of Good Hope on the first voyage from Europe to reach India. Can you imagine what that trip was like?
SPEAKER 15 :
I wouldn’t take it.
SPEAKER 03 :
I wouldn’t. It wasn’t a cruise, I’ll just tell you. No, it was not. Then I did not know this. 1542, Spain delegates new laws against slavery in America. I’d never heard that. Were you aware of that?
SPEAKER 15 :
I was. Tell me a little bit about that. Well, what’s interesting is Europe was fighting the African tribes, kings, to try to eliminate slavery. And they were like, no, no, no. They’re selling delegates up to Europe to go, no, no, no, we’re keeping this trade. Which is frustrating for me when people blame everything on the white man in this country. Like, it’s the white man’s problem that Negroes were slaves. No, it was Africans, people that look just like me, that conquered other tribes and sold them to the Portuguese, which brought them to the West.
SPEAKER 03 :
That brings up one other thing. And we had a lot of you text in and regarding when we had, I think it was Michelle Exner with Parents Defending Freedom. She had written a piece about all these land acknowledgements that are, you know, City council meetings and school boards saying that this is stolen land that we’re on. And one of our listeners said that all of these other tribal things, that they were based on plunder, not based on individual rights. And I neglected, now I’m not sure which listener sent that in, but I didn’t realize that. But I think they’re right.
SPEAKER 15 :
And you can’t take today’s moral judgment and apply it to two, three, four, 500 years ago. You just can’t, it doesn’t work. We weren’t considered, in slavery, they weren’t racist. You can’t go, oh, those guys were racist. No, they were businessmen and women, and they had a product, or they had a system that they could use, and it wasn’t right, but they used men. And our great founding fathers wrote a document that says, No, we can’t do that to them. And it took, what, 75, 80 years? But that original document that says all men are created equal, if they hadn’t done that, we may still be slaves today. And so they formed this document. Slave owners… Form this document that says one day those men, those Africans in the field will be free. And then we fought a war to get that. And people don’t understand 600, 700,000 men and women died so that we could be free. And it just chaps my hide when I hear the left demonize white people over and over again. Our plight is because there’s no fathers in the home. Why not, Kane? Because LBJ made it so that the women, the black women, didn’t have to have that man. Now, hear me when I say this. What the left did to Negroes is exactly what they’re doing to every American today. If you want to see what’s going to happen to you, look at the Negro community and you will see what they have in store for us. You have to see their plan is to destroy the country. We were the, I call it the beta test, and I probably just went off on a tangent, but we were the beta test. If you want to see what they have in store for you, take a look at the black community.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, well, that’s why we’re engaging in this battle of ideas. And so let’s go to break. And, oh, yesterday I have another story I want to tell you very quickly because I met with the Lavaca meat guys. We had lunch, and I wanted to walk down from where we had lunch down to Lavaca and pick up some things for the freezer. because it’s that steakhouse experience at home. And so I’m walking down, and this is an old Littleton, and there’s two young women. And one has an iPad, so I know that they’re up to something, but I was in a hurry to get down to the business. And so I walked on down, got my stuff, was walking back, and I stopped and I said, so what are you guys doing? They said, well, we’re with the Nature Conservancy. And we are raising money, signing people up to protect the Colorado River. And I said, hmm. And they said, for farming and people. Well, actually, the Nature Conservancy is very… of left group. And the dot that I connected was yesterday morning, there was a headline, and I put it back on here, is the Biden administration is trying to throw a Hail Mary to save the Colorado River before Trump takes over. And I thought, Hmm, isn’t that interesting? We have the Biden headline over here, and I’ve got the two Nature Conservancy girls right there trying to sign me up. And they said they wanted to raise money. So I wanted to connect that dot.
SPEAKER 15 :
But again- And to your point, they never stop.
SPEAKER 03 :
They never stop. So we can’t stop. And we had, well, the restaurant where we had lunch at, they serve Lavaca meat. So I had a Lavaca hamburger. Nice. I tell you what. It was delicious, and it’s great to have Lavaca Meat Company as a sponsor.
SPEAKER 09 :
Lavaca Meat Company takes great pride in selling only the best. Lavaca Meat Company is a third-generation family-owned business with its roots in eastern Colorado. Lavaca means the cow in Spanish. As our name implies, we only sell beef. No poultry, pork, bison, or game. Just premium quality, aged, mouth-watering beef. Lavaca Meat Company, only the best. Again, that’s LavacaMeat.com.

SPEAKER 03 :
Welcome back to The Kim Munson Show. Check out our website. That’s kimmunson, M-O-N-S-O-N.com. Sign up for our weekly email newsletter. You can email me at kim at kimmunson.com as well. Thank you to all of you who support us. We’re an independent voice, and we search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. And I mentioned before we went to break this little conversation I had with two young, very delightful women. Well… Let me say this. They were very pleasant, but I don’t know what they might be when they’re not being pleasant trying to get you to do something and sign up for it.
SPEAKER 15 :
I love this about you because you’re so sweet. And I just simply say, oh, they were probably jerks, but that’s okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
So anyway, two young women working for the Nature Conservancy, standing on Old Littleton, signing people up and raising money. To help save the Colorado River is what they said. And then connecting that dot with the fact that the Biden administration is trying to throw this Hail Mary regarding the Colorado River. So if PBIs can control water, can control food, can control fuel, housing, guess what? They control everything.
SPEAKER 15 :
Everything. Everything. And it’s… It’s like I feel like I’m crazy half the time when I say you cannot trust our government. I don’t trust the dog catcher. Do they still have dog catchers? I don’t know. But you can’t trust these agencies. And I was a police officer. I was in the military. And you just cannot trust these agencies. They will take a legitimate issue. that can help us and they will turn it to take our power away from us, to take our liberty, to take our freedoms. They will take these agencies with your money and use it to restrict or minimize your liberties.
SPEAKER 03 :
And the biggest narrative on this is climate. And that is why the documentary, The Project of Walt Johnson, bless him, they took money out of their own retirement plan to fund this documentary. And when people watch it, people really appreciate it. It’s a Socratic method with the experts and scientists to just talk about this whole climate narrative. And I have a feeling this little film is now that we’re moving into a new time, if you will. I think that it’s going to continue to have more and more traction. So you can watch it at a climate conversation dot com. That’s a climate conversation dot com. We’re creating a great podcast series as well. In fact, we will be recording a podcast later today. And with experts, one of the guys is a Nobel laureate. I mean, these are smart people. And so check out climateconversation.com. Three other things on this day in history came. And this will segue into something that you said. But in 1903, FDR and Eleanor Roosevelt became engaged. 1942, Adolf Hitler orders Rommel’s Army Corps to fight to the last man in northern Africa. On November 22, 1963, John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, was assassinated while riding in a presidential motorcade. through Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas. And shortly thereafter, Lyndon Baines Johnson became president of the United States. And I have to agree with you, his great society has not been great.
SPEAKER 15 :
Prior to LBJ providing those free dollars to the poor, 80% of the black families had a mom and dad. 80%. They had a lot of kids, but they had a mom and dad. In fact, the marriage rate was higher than the Caucasian race at that time. After that, 20 years later, I mean, maybe 20% today, maybe 15, 20%, there’s a mom and dad. And so I often wonder, and I often think, man, where would we be if JFK wasn’t killed? Where would our culture… Because he was working on shrinking government. Yes. And so the fact that LBJ could give these monies to these black women, but the stipulation was there could not be a man in the home.
SPEAKER 03 :
I’ve got a story for you, okay? So when I was on city council, someone that I knew, his wife had… And he leaned really… pretty far left his wife had been a social excuse me social worker and she actually was very proud of this story that I guess they would do these these checks and so she went to the house this was a Hispanic family a single Hispanic woman with children and so this woman goes around and inspects the house and she sees a man’s feet sticking out from underneath the bed And it was the guy I think probably might have been the father. But she demanded that he leave. And I thought, oh, that is what you’re talking about.
SPEAKER 1 :
100%.
SPEAKER 15 :
They sent out social workers to promote this free money to these. Because you got a certain amount of money for each child. But they would tell them, you get the money, but Bubba can’t be here. He cannot be here. I was raised in that. My mom got off of welfare when I was 18. maybe sixth grade. And I remember social workers would come to our house and my mom would put us in our Sunday clothes. And we sit on the couch and wait for the social worker to come in. They would walk through, the lady most of the time, maybe once or twice a year, walk through our house, go into the closets, look under beds.
SPEAKER 03 :
To see if there’s any men’s clothing.
SPEAKER 15 :
Men’s clothing. Or I think part of it too was that was the money being used properly. They don’t do that today. And they would look in our refrigerator, they would have some conversation with us. And my mom, to her credit, said, I’m not doing this. So my mom got her high school diploma when I was in junior high. My mom graduated college when I was in high school. Wow. My mom became a teaching nurse, and she’s still a nurse to this day. And so as a kid, I had a chance to watch this lady with five kids… Five children. …struggle…
SPEAKER 03 :
Personal question, same father?
SPEAKER 15 :
My youngest brother had a different dad. Okay. Yeah. Now, my dad wasn’t going to be around with or without LBJ. He just was not a good guy. But my mom raised five amazing kids, and we had a chance to watch her struggle and fight, which is probably why I fight like I fight, like I’ve seen and felt what it’s like to be on welfare. I know what it’s like to eat government cheese that doesn’t melt. But my point is, if you get rid of the dad, If the male figure is gone, you can destroy. If you remove the lion from society, the jackals will 100% rule. And that’s what they’ve been doing. And so LBJ, my thought is if JFK were still alive, I don’t think, I think we would all be on par. I think the trend would continue. I think we would still remain at 80, 85% where all families have a mom and dad. And we don’t have this whole crazy social welfare program. And it’s a waste of money. It’s my money. As a police officer, I would say over 50% of the folks that got welfare that I saw were criminals. And they were using the money to buy drugs. In fact, I’d be willing to bet this, and an expert can call in and tell me if I’m wrong. Our government is the biggest supplier or provider of cash that goes to drugs than anything else.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, and I think how that could happen is now with these EBT cards, people can sell their EBT cards for cash.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yes.
SPEAKER 03 :
And then they have cash for drugs.
SPEAKER 15 :
That happens every day of the week. And I was a police officer back when you had food stamps. Like you didn’t get the card. You had this little book. And I’d sit outside of the food stamp store in my police unit and watch guys come up. They’d have $200 worth of food stamps and give the guy $100. Right. So anyways.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, we’re gonna continue the discussion, because I wanna talk, well, this thing on lions in society, I wanna talk about that, but also what you think, as the founder of Task Force Freedom Northern Colorado, what you think that the election of Donald Trump means for our children. So those are the two things that we’re gonna have hanging out there. Did wanna mention the USMC Memorial Foundation, which is the other nonprofit that I’ve adopted on the show. And I can’t believe Thanksgiving’s next week, which means get your Christmas shopping done. Great Christmas gift would be to purchase a brick that will be on their pathways of service. It’ll honor your loved one. You’ll get a beautiful certificate. And you can see what they’re going to do by going to the USMCMemorialFoundation.org. That is the USMCMemorialFoundation.org. And this today, second hour, we’re going to have Lauren Levy and Karen Levine in studio. And Lauren Levy is the person to call for everything mortgages.
SPEAKER 10 :
If you’re 62 or older, a reverse mortgage could be a great tool regarding retirement and estate planning. It is essential to understand the process. Lorne Levy with Polygon Financial Group has nearly 20 years in the mortgage industry and has the experience to answer your questions. Call Lauren at 303-880-8881. And if you want a copy of the letter that we will be sending to county clerks, text me at 720-605-0647 with your email address, and I will get that to you. It’ll probably be this weekend. I got a bunch of stuff I got to get done today. Kane’s in studio. He’s the founder of Task Force Freedom Northern Colorado. and really the purpose is to protect our children, to shed light on what is happening. But, Cain, your mom, you said that your father was… Absent. Absent, okay. Yes. That happens sometimes. When we talk about we want families to be together, to have a mom and a dad, sometimes circumstances are such that it doesn’t happen. But that doesn’t mean that I would also say then in a society, if the lion is not in the home regularly, first of all, I would encourage fathers to, to not be absent if that relationship has not worked out. Because sometimes it doesn’t. So do not be absent, but also men have this duty as lions in the family and lions in our society to protect children, and I’m gonna set this up if you feel comfortable, because after the show last time you were in, you said, why do I do this, Kim? I might be in a restaurant sometimes, and so go ahead, tell us.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh my gosh, okay, so this is hard for me. Well, if you don’t have to. No, no, no, I will do it, I will do it. When I see, and I was just talking to my wife yesterday, actually, when I see, and it usually happens with a woman and a toddler, and I think this is God’s way of saying to me, hey, you have to do something. And so I feel this deep sense of sadness, anger, sadness. Is it because you know what’s the… What the future holds for that baby. If we don’t do something. If we don’t do something. And so it doesn’t happen often, but I think it’s, in my opinion, it’s God’s way of reminding me, this is what you’re fighting for. That little kid, that mom right there, we’re fighting for parental rights, for that child to grow up without all of this craziness from the gender stuff, the CRT, The porn in the porn in the schools. And so it’s it just serves as a reminder. I think I compared it to the Green Mile. I think what it was, the movie where the big giant black dude and he says to one of the other characters, it goes, boss, I feel their pain. And so that’s. I don’t like it because it makes me want to cry. And I go, man, I’ve got to brush up on my – get some more testosterone in me or something. But that’s the best example that I have that it makes me – I need to do something to protect these babies. And let me say this. We have amazing people on our team. It’s not just me. We’re up to maybe 65, 70 team members. Some of them do a lot. Some of them do a little. We appreciate everything that they do. And they are standing in the gap. for parents who don’t even care. And that’s okay. That’s okay.
SPEAKER 03 :
And parents that don’t know.
SPEAKER 15 :
Most do not really understand what’s going on in the schools. If the parents truly understood what was happening in these government schools, they wouldn’t even drop their kids off in the playground.
SPEAKER 03 :
So with that, Trump, in fact, you had a Trump hat on. I love my Trump hat. Trump’s election, what do you think that means for our children?
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, let me say this, first of all. This is not the end. Trump getting elected is the beginning. So we’ve been in this battle, and so we got a guy in office. We made it to the Super Bowl. I’ll put it that way. We made it to the Super Bowl, and we got four quarters. We got four years of fighting to put down this beast that’s destroying our liberties. And it is from both sides of the aisle.
SPEAKER 1 :
100%.
SPEAKER 15 :
I didn’t say Democrat or Republican. It is… The deep state or whatever you want to call them. These people don’t love us. They don’t love our country. And they want to remove our freedoms from us. So this is the beginning. Let me say this. Now is not the time to sit back and watch Trump do his thing. Now is the time to get into the fight. Yep. Get involved.
SPEAKER 03 :
He’s not our savior.
SPEAKER 15 :
He’s not. We have one savior. We do. And that’s Christ. And Christ saved him to help us. But we have to, individuals have to get in the fight. You folks are thinking about running for city council, school board. Like we have elections coming up next year in 26th. Get into the fight. If you don’t run, I guarantee you, the Democrats, the marxicoms are getting their candidates in line right now to take over your school boards and your city councils. Get in the fight. You know, the Lord’s been telling you, I need to do this.
SPEAKER 03 :
So, Kane, one other thing, though. Our Colorado 2024 election project is going to become this 2025 election project. I think people have stepped back because they feel that there’s something weird going on, and we’re working on getting that figured out.
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, we have to understand, too, that I truly believe that they want us to have a race war, a civil war. Our founding fathers said they’re going to give us the solution so that we don’t kill each other again, and that is to vote. Well, if you make people delusional, confused about whether the voting system works, what’s left? Because I’ve talked with some people and I’m like, no, no, no, it’s not time for that. Take it easy. You know, keep your powder dry. And so if our election system doesn’t work, then the next solution is war. And our founding fathers did not want us to kill each other.
SPEAKER 03 :
And that is why this is so important. So this county clerk letter is really, really important to delay certification until we can be assured. Yes. um through an audit and a hand count of this election in light of these bios passwords we’ve got our other two lawsuits out there fraudulent ballots got through in mesa county did that happen someplace else i’m sure it did we need to figure that out yeah and uh so if you would like to get a copy of that letter text me at 720-605-0647 kane we’re just about out of time you’re going to stay here for hour number two uh how we got a minute how would you like to wrap this up
SPEAKER 15 :
I would say that I understand that Trump getting into office is going to give a lot of people more courage because they’ll have confidence that things will change. And so when you have that confidence that things will change, get into the fight. More attorneys are going to get involved. I’m hoping the sheriffs, police chiefs will start enforcing laws. So he’s going to…
SPEAKER 03 :
And we need to change the laws. The laws need to be constitutional.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yes, 100%.
SPEAKER 03 :
There’s bad laws out there.
SPEAKER 15 :
Of course. I mean, Negroes know there are bad laws. We’ve got a history of bad laws, right?
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah. And Jim Crow laws. Yes, of course. Absolutely. Cain, it is always a pleasure. I so appreciate the work that you and your team are doing. And what is that website?
SPEAKER 15 :
TaskforceFreedomNoCo.com. Task Force Freedom, no code dot com. Or if you like that, send me an email. I’m at Task Force Freedom at AOL dot com. I’d love to hear from you. And also, if you have schools, if you have charter schools or private schools that you would like for us to add to our website, please let me know, because we’re trying to get a roster of really good schools that
SPEAKER 03 :
that parents can so they have options they have options and teachers have options as well teachers so that they could try to yes make a change there so our quote for the end of the show is from general omar bradley and of course since it’s friday medal of honor quote day i like to go to bravery or courage and he said this bravery is the capacity to perform properly even when scared half to death
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, my gosh.
SPEAKER 03 :
You kind of said that already.
SPEAKER 15 :
That’s beautiful.
SPEAKER 03 :
So today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you. God bless America. And stay tuned for our number two.
SPEAKER 04 :
Mountains climbing, twisting, turning further from my heart. young like a new moon rising fierce through the rain and lightning wandering out into this great unknown and i don’t want no one to cry but tell them if i don’t survive i was born
SPEAKER 08 :

SPEAKER 02 :
It’s the Kim Munson Show. Analyzing the most important stories.
Welcome to our number two of the Kim Munson Show. Thank you so much for joining us. You’re each treasured, you’re valued, you have purpose. Today, strive for excellence, take care of your heart, your soul, your mind, and your body. My friends, we were made for this moment in history. And thank you to the team that I get to work with. That’s Producer Joe, Luke, Rachel, Zach, Echo, Charlie, Mike. welcoming Teresa to the group and all the people here at Crawford Broadcasting and it is Friday producer Joe and I think I forgot to say this in the first hour but next week we will be running a number of evergreen shows so that we can so that we don’t have to be up at oh dark 30. you and I will be working almost every day but we just don’t have to get up at oh dark 30. yes ma’am and it’ll be really nice to sleep in for a little bit yeah and so we do this i try to do this during thanksgiving week christmas week easter week and the week of fourth of july and so but we’ve got amazing shows joe that we’re going to be broadcasting that we’ve pulled and it’s so so stay tuned it’s going to be great i’m excited i really like those shows And, hey, I want to just mention the America’s Veterans stories. So this week we will be broadcasting the second interview with Pepe Ramirez, Sergeant Major, a Marine veteran, very inspirational. And then we recorded the— interview for the next week. And in fact, we’re going to be running promos by author Doyle Glass regarding Marines that, now I can’t remember exactly, well, it was a swift sword is what it is, regarding a battle in the Vietnam War. And in that battle, there were two different people because of the actions that they took, were awarded the Medal of Honor. And so it’s pretty inspirational. And so that will be next week. And so, again, and that’s Sunday, 3 to 4 p.m. They do rebroadcast some of the other America’s Veterans stories, 10 to 11 at night as well. And so in studio, well, let me get to our word of the day is compel. It’s C-O-M-P-E-L. It could be to force a person to do something, to drive or constrain or force. And number two could be to necessitate or require as by force of circumstance or to demand. Number three, to exert a strong, irresistible force on or sway. And we talk about government force all the time, rules, regulations, all those things. It should not be difficult to use the word compel in a sentence today, and it’s spelled C-O-M-P-E-L. Our quote of the day comes from John F. Baker, Jr., United States Army Medal of Honor recipient, born 1945, died 2012. We gave his citation of what he did in the first hour. You can hear that in the one to two hour this afternoon when they rebroadcast that hour. But he said this, he said, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness comes with a very high price, the lives of millions of Americans who gallantly fought for those cherished values. And so in studio is my friend Kane, who is the founder of Task Force Freedom Northern Colorado. Great hour, text line’s been real busy, saying great stuff. And Karen Levine, Everything Residential Real Estate, RE-MAX Alliance. Dear friend, welcome. Good morning. And my friend Lauren Levy for Everything Mortgages. 49 states, just not New York. Do we have many people try to move to New York?
SPEAKER 11 :
I think most of them are coming this way.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, I think so. And you can help them with that new mortgage or that second mortgage. Well, and I can help them find their new home. And you can find that house. Yeah.
SPEAKER 17 :
You’ve been busy. I’ve been busy. Yeah. Counterintuitive that the fourth quarter should be quieter. People are looking to move up, move down, move out, move in. And you can help them with that. I can help them with that. I have some great new listings on the market that span the price ranges along the front range. So it’s been great.
SPEAKER 03 :
That’s awesome. That’s super awesome. Let’s see. Several things. Thank you to LearnMe Energy for their gold sponsorship of the show. It is reliable, efficient, affordable, and abundant energy that powers our lives and fuels our hopes and dreams. That is under attack. Well, oil, gas, and coal are under attack, so that means that… The energy that fuels our lives and powers our hopes and dreams is under attack. That’s because I think that there’s people that don’t like everyday people being able to go after their hopes and dreams, Cain. You think, Cain?
SPEAKER 15 :
Yes, ma’am.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, throwing it over to you. I know it looks like we have a big party here.
SPEAKER 15 :
Well, I work in oil and gas, and what people don’t understand is is natural gas. If we don’t pull that crude out of the ground, we’re not going to get natural gas. I think it’s like 70% of all natural gas comes from oil dikes.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, and the other thing, and this was one of the podcasts that we just did for A Climate Conversation. Check that out at climateconversation.com. And this was with… Ron Stein, who is an expert on this, and he said people don’t think about all of the products that we have from oil derivatives. And and Rami Johnson has said because she’s a nurse by trade. She said, if you look at the operating room. and all of the different plastics and things makes it much cleaner because you can use those things, throw them away. We know they’re sterile. And all those things are from derivatives of petroleum. Yes. So it’s important that people know that. So on the line with us is another great sponsor, and that’s Jim May with Lavaca Meat Company. And it was great to see you yesterday, Jim May. Great lunch. Welcome.
SPEAKER 14 :
Good morning, Kim, and good morning, everybody there at the— at the studio. Kane, you’re having a great show. Yes, sir. And my other two friends who I see from time to time, good to be with all of you this morning. Well, hail, hail the gangs all here except you, Jim, because… I’ll be coming in one of these days, hopefully before Christmas, okay?
SPEAKER 03 :
That would be great. And at lunch, the restaurant that we were at serves Lavaca meat, and I had a treat, and that was a Lavaca meat hamburger.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah, and I had the steak and eggs. I love the steak and eggs, the little… like a little eight-ounce filet sitting by a couple of good eggs. I’m kind of on that high-protein deal anyway, so it worked good for me. But that was fun and good to see you yesterday.
SPEAKER 03 :
I was the only one, so there were six of us. I think I was the only one that ate bread.
SPEAKER 14 :
Oh, yeah. I know, but you don’t have to worry about weight like we do. We have it.
SPEAKER 03 :
okay okay it was a carbohydrate free lunch uh for everybody but me french fries and a hamburger so jim jim may um and i forgot to get the the one sheet from jerry and i will get that but gosh we’re coming in thanksgiving and christmas and lavaca meat company you guys are putting together gift boxes which can be sent to employees or friends or family what a lovely gift i think
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah, I think it’s a great time of year for us. You know, we do a lot of business over the holidays, and it is a great gift. It’s something that people don’t get every day, something of this quality. And we really urge you to jump online. We’ll walk and meet dot com. And I’m sure that the one sheet there will be available there online with Jerry or just come by Nevada in May. and look around a little bit, look at our little meat shop, maybe even look behind the glass at our big company there where we do a lot of our business. And I think maybe this show is going to morph into a little bit of Lavaca meat, maybe also becoming what we really are, Lavaca cattle. Maybe I’ll be, like Lauren, I’ll be all things cattle. We have ranches and farms and feed yards, and they work great. you know, between themselves and all that. There’s a lot of things out there that, you know, we have this transition now, and it’s time to go for the gold and try to get things right in our government. And certainly I think we have our issues, too. People are going after red meat. You know, that’s something that the Green New Deal, boy, we don’t want red meat, and we want to eat bugs and stuff like that instead, I guess. So we’re going to be all about that in the coming weeks.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, and that’s awesome. So, Jim, I’d mentioned it when I was walking from the restaurant down to Lavaca Meat Company, which is located at Nevada and Maine in O’Littleton. There were two young women. One had an iPad and very friendly. Hi, how are you? And I said, you know, I need to get I’m at an appointment. So I wanted to get down and, you know, get to the store and make my purchases and everything. Meet Becky and all that. But then on the way back, I said, so what are you about? And they said, oh, we’re with the Nature Conservancy and we’re signing people up and raising money to help the Colorado River. And just that morning, yesterday morning, I had seen a headline that the Biden administration is trying to throw a Hail Mary to save the Colorado River before Trump takes over. Well, I see this as they’re going to probably try to do something to control water. And I thought, hey, Jim, isn’t that interesting? I see that headline that morning, and then here you have the Nature Conservancy, which is a very left Green New Deal group, and they’re out on the – you know, out there – on Main Street in Littleton, signing people up. And to my point, and what Kane and I talked about, is the left never sleeps. We are excited about the election. People, business people want to go back to their business. They want to take care of their families. And we have to stay in the fight. And that’s one of the things that you and I talked about yesterday.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah, for sure. You know, I Okay, we won the election, and we’ve got the Senate and the House, but, you know what, the battle’s just starting, and these people, they’re nonstop. I mean, they’re going to inundate us with everything at all times, and I think it’s just, I’m excited about the fight. I’m with Trump. Fight, fight, fight. Fight for our freedoms and the things that we grew up with and how we feel. And so, yeah, I’m ready to be a part of that. I guess you want a little poem today? Yeah, let’s do that. Okay. Well, I’ll tell you, I just looked over the things that I have. This is one of mine. I feel like maybe one of the better things that I’ve written, and I’ve got a long way to go to be a really good poet, but with the ranch idea and the cattle, this time of year, Thanksgiving coming up. Sometimes I like the time leading up to the holidays just as well as I like the holiday itself.
SPEAKER 08 :
I know, me too.
SPEAKER 14 :
And this is a fun time. So this is about what we do in the fall. It’s about how we take our calves off their mothers, bring them into the feed yards and begin the process of making beef. And also, of course, the feed that we put together, the harvest and all that, this is called when you finish shipping the cattle in the fall.
SPEAKER 05 :
Oh, I love it. Okay.
SPEAKER 14 :
Though this place is always busy, the end of summer will make you dizzy. Work this time of year just never seems to end. And your feelings and the weather, they seem to kind of run together. You know, hunting season’s just around the bend, and the nights are getting colder, and you feel a little older when you know you got your back up against the wall. But you know that when you’re done, you can stop and have some fun when you finish shipping the cattle in the fall. The plastic tarp is on the pile, and it kind of makes you smile when that last truck dumps and drives away. It’s a comfort because you’re knowing that when those blizzards start to blow, there’s a pile of feet that you can count on every day. And the new cabs, they’re balling, and the truckers just keep hauling until you hate to hear that truck dispatcher call. But you know that when you’re done, you can stop and have some fun when you finish shipping the cattle in the fall. Now, some folks, they get down when this season comes around. They say how they hate to see the summer go. But the people on the land, they seem to understand that the good times start when the work slows down, you know? After the long days in the saddle with the horses and the cattle, there’s a light out there when the days are getting small. Because you know you’ll get it done, and you’re going to stop and have some fun when you finish shipping the cattle in the fall. And then one day you wake up and you get your son and you break out that old shotgun and you and he can go find a bird or two. It’s a good life that we live. We take and then we give. And you’re proud of who you are and what you do. Because all the work and all the sweat make it worth the feeling that you get when you hear that rooster flush and make his call. When a man and his son can stop and have some fun when you finish shipping the cattle in the fall.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, Jim May, I absolutely love that. And so I grew up not far from where Lavaca Meat Company was founded in western Kansas here in eastern Colorado, and I know exactly what you’re talking about. So, Jim May, I wish you and yours a blessed Thanksgiving, and we will talk again very, very soon.

We don’t want to tell people how long we’ve known each other.
SPEAKER 17 :
They don’t need to know. They don’t need to know that because then they’ll start to figure out how old we are.
SPEAKER 03 :
And we’re not old. No, not at all. But everything residential real estate.
SPEAKER 17 :
And you’re busy. Along the front range, yeah. The market is good. Affordability continues to be challenging, but… sellers who are wanting to sell are doing creative things that lauren can help with which we call um assistance with the interest rates sometimes they’re doing what’s called a two one buy down so they’re buying down the interest rate for the first year by two percent and then the second year for one percent so it helps you ease into the some of these higher payments you do have to qualify for The full payment, but it gives you a little easing in, and sellers have been receptive to helping pay for that.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. So mortgages, everything mortgages, Lauren Levy. Well, first of all, Karen’s number is 303-877-7516. So are you seeing a lot of this 2-1 buy-down stuff, or what?
SPEAKER 11 :
It’s coming back. Like, it was here for a while, and then rates dropped, and it kind of went away for a bit. And now rates have gone back up. I was doing something yesterday. I had a couple different people ask me, well, rates have dropped lately, right? And it’s interesting to always see perception because people were of the belief that once the Fed started cutting and once we got through the election that rates would drop. But they’ve actually gone up, especially post-election. And that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s because the market has been going – gangbusters the stock market.
SPEAKER 03 :
So what’s happened is people have been moving money into the stock market.
SPEAKER 11 :
There’s a constant battle every day of when people are pulling out of the market, they call it a flight to safety. They’re going to guaranteed things like bonds that are guaranteed to pay. When the market’s euphoric or doing really well, it goes the other way. People pull money out of bonds and into risk assets, which is the stock market. So mortgages are bonds at their core. They’re considered safer, and people pull out of safe stuff to take more risk when they think they can make money in the market. So since the election, we’ve had the stock market going up quite a bit. Things like Bitcoin have been going up a bunch. And people are getting into those assets and coming out of bonds. So, you know, like you and I talk on Wednesdays, we watch the 10-year Treasury like a hawk. And in September, before the Fed cut that half cut, it was 3.63%. I just looked in the car. It’s 437 right now.
SPEAKER 05 :
Wow.
SPEAKER 11 :
The 10-year. So rates have gone back up. So now we start to see like 2-1 buy-downs show their face again. Okay. Because people are back to being concerned about the rate more.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. So people qualify at…
SPEAKER 11 :
what that rate is start rate but what happens then is with that buy and so is that a mortgage or is that something the seller does or how does that work the seller pays for it the bank is going to get their money so let’s say the rate is seven percent you start the first year at five percent so the buyer gets the five percent rate for 12 months then it goes to six then it goes back to seven at the end of the 24 months And people like Karen have to negotiate that interest savings to the buyer into the contract, and it has to be paid by the seller. So it’s a concession, we call it, by the seller.
SPEAKER 03 :
So Karen, then, so for somebody that’s getting into a new house, then that means they would have some extra cash for some of the things that they might want to do in their new home. Right.
SPEAKER 17 :
Or it’s that perceived payment shock factor. Even though they can afford it, it’s moving, say they’re moving from a rental payment of $3,500 and now their house payment fully amortized is going to be at $5,000. But you do a 2-1 buy down and you ease into that $5,000 over 24 months. It seems like a lot, doesn’t it? Doesn’t it? It does. So that just helps people wrap their head around the cost of living and affordability and We’ve used the 2-1 buy-down strategy over the years. I’ve been using it for the 35 years plus I’ve been in the business. When interest rates have precluded people, you know, there’s a little pushback because they’re afraid of affordability. The other challenge in the marketplace that I don’t know how we… address it but um i was listening to a podcast or a zoom call yesterday with regards to the market and um properties under five hundred thousand dollars in the seven counties along the front range are Of those properties, I think it’s 65% of them are multifamily or condominium townhomes. They’re attached, attached dwelling, ownership units. And the pushback, even though they’re under $500,000, is the HOA dues. And I just had a client call me yesterday and said, we don’t know if we can stay here. They’ve raised our HOA dues again. And HOA dues are getting pushed up because of the cost of energy, the cost of labor, the cost of materials. and the cost of insurance. And so the insurance market is really, really challenging. And so they have to go out and buy master plans. And they have to pass that cost on to the homeowner. And again, many of these costs are related to public policy. So if we could roll back public policy, we could create more affordability. And if we can increase inventory, again, more inventory helps push prices down. So we continue to look at that. And as we’ve talked about, our inventory in the front range has doubled from where it was a year ago, which creates opportunity. And sellers have still a really good investment in their housing because Because they received a lot of appreciation over the last three to five years. So that investment has done them well. And even though there’s a little downward pressure on their values, they still have a good equity position.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, and Kane, founder of Task Force Freedom Northern Colorado, I think you said that maybe the last time that you were in is that you have invested in real estate.
SPEAKER 05 :
I have.
SPEAKER 03 :
And so you’ve been able to do that and help create wealth for you and your family.
SPEAKER 15 :
Yeah, actually, I think I’ve probably purchased about 10 or 12 homes the last 20 years or so.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 15 :
And I’ve had several different businesses. We just bought a home up in Windsor, and the selling point was that they were going to do the buy-down, the two-point buy-down. And so it was affordable for us anyway, but to know that, okay, we can go, I can’t remember what the interest rate we’re paying, but we got two points below that for the first year, and we’re in the second year now, and it’s just one point.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay. And you’re happy you’re in your new home.
SPEAKER 15 :
Oh, my gosh. It’s beautiful. And it was just a plus. It was just a big plus. And I would just encourage people, what are you waiting for?
SPEAKER 03 :
Did Karen pay you to say that?
SPEAKER 15 :
If you want a home, yeah, but if you want a home, buy your home. Like we get wrapped up in, you know, politics and what’s going on in society and you stop living your life. Buy your home and live your life. Go forward, buy the home, talk to Lauren, he’ll get you a good loan. Karen will take care of your property for you. But what are you waiting for? Find a nice community. I found a great community up in Windsor and buy that home.
SPEAKER 03 :
Boy, Lauren, what more can you say?
SPEAKER 11 :
We say that all the time. I mean, things go up and down. I remember I’ve been in my house a long time, and shortly after I bought it just a few years, we went through the recession of 08 and the crash, and my home value went down to what I had paid for it. And if I had panicked and… God forbid, done something dumb and sold it, I’d be regretting it every day of my life now because now look what’s happened. It’s just almost tripled since then. So just get through it. The value of your home only matters when you go to put a sign in front of it.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, well, when you pay your taxes.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, but things go up and down. It’s a market, and if you’re not looking to sell, it doesn’t matter.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, yeah. No, it’s so important. So we will continue the discussion on property rights and government and the real estate market and interest rates and the work you’re doing, Kane. And we get to do this because we have great sponsors, and one of those is Karen Levine. Oh, thank you.
SPEAKER 02 :

SPEAKER 03 :
It is Friday. Welcome back to the Kim Munson Show. Thank you to all of you who join us. And be sure and tell others about our show. We are looking at these issues through this lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. And one of the nonprofits I’ve adopted is the USMC Memorial Foundation. And my friend Paula Sarles is the president at the foundation. She is a Gold Star wife, and she is also a Marine veteran, and she’s really an inspiration. And the memorial was dedicated in 1977. It’s time for a remodel, and to spiff it up, I shouldn’t say that, she takes good care of it. Maybe it’s just a little dated, but she takes great care, or they take great care of it. But they need help with that, all of that. So go to usmcmemorialfoundation.com to get more information and to see what they’re doing. And Karen Levine, the memorial is located in Jefferson County. And you live in Jefferson County. I do. Natalie Minton, our friend, ran for Jefferson County Commissioner and has been a stalwart supporter to try to to keep the Colorado Taxpayers Bill of Rights in place in Jefferson County. And by gosh, the Jefferson County commissioners used Jefferson County people’s tax money to encourage them to vote to get rid of their TABOR refunds and their property tax caps.
SPEAKER 17 :
yes ma’am and I just said to Kim I wanted to share that I received my table refund from Jefferson County this week in the mail and yes it was 90 dollars that might buy us dinner out today I’m not sure but with that said there was a post on next door that said that equated to 30.5 million dollars of money that went back into our pockets because of Tabor protecting us from government spending. And it just made me very, very sad that the people of Jefferson County chose to quote-unquote de-bruce, which means all that money will now stay in the Jefferson County coffers, and they don’t have that check and balance that Tabor offered. And we were sold, the citizens of Jefferson County, that we were only one, maybe two counties left that hadn’t done this, and we were the bad people. And the reality was is people like Natalie Menton and others that were trying to get the word out, they were trying to protect us and to help us control the spending that happens at our governments.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I think we need to go to work to re-tabor. Re-tabor. We need to re-tabor. The other thing, think about this, though, Karen. As you say, maybe $90, depending on where you go, what restaurant. But think about if all the people in Jefferson County, because restaurants are having a heck of a time right now. With, again, the family leave and all this different stuff that comes down from government. Just think of all the people in Jefferson County went out and spent that $90 at a restaurant. Kane, you’ve been in the restaurant business. That’d make a difference, wouldn’t it?
SPEAKER 15 :
Yes, ma’am. Yes, ma’am, it would. And, I mean, even with minimum wage. I left California. One of the reasons is because of their minimum wage.
SPEAKER 03 :
And you came to Colorado, and guess what?
SPEAKER 15 :
And I found out, oh, my God, what have I done? You went to only one. But, yeah, I started a funnel cake dessert shop in Sacramento.
SPEAKER 05 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 15 :
The first year, I think the minimum wage was like $9. And then they had to increase it by a dollar every year for five years. When I got to the fifth, I had eight employees. And when they implemented that policy, I told them, if my sales don’t increase, I’m going to start laying you guys off. By the time I left, I had two employees.
SPEAKER 17 :
Wow.
SPEAKER 03 :
If that doesn’t tell you. Yeah. And these are jobs. My first job was at Daylight Donut and Chicken Inn. So I smell like donuts and chickens for my whole high school career. Sounds delicious. It was actually delicious. But I think initially I should have paid them because I didn’t have any skills. They were it was Mr. Schmidt was his name and he was so kind as far as teaching me all of this stuff. Although my grandmother sat me down and made me figure out how to give change and all of that. But this what happens is this becomes, as Susan Kotrevar said, it’s like the Teenager Unemployment Act when you have a forced minimum wage cane.
SPEAKER 15 :
One hundred percent. And and that’s where you learn how to be an employee.
SPEAKER 03 :
Mm hmm.
SPEAKER 15 :
That’s where you learn how to be responsible for the French fries and showing up to work on time. You mean like Donald Trump? That’s right.
SPEAKER 03 :
But yeah, show up and being able to learn how to deal with people. So hey, Lauren Levy, what was your first job?
SPEAKER 11 :
I was at a grocery store, and I moved around from going to get the carts out in the, you know, the carriages out in the parking lot and bringing them in because I was the strong guy to rotating.
SPEAKER 03 :
Did you have one of those big machines now?
SPEAKER 11 :
No, I had arms and legs and quads. And then we had, you know, and that was back in the day when, you know, there was, we did have a scanner at the register, just the one that would go, you know, you didn’t have the gun or the, and the old lady would come up, and I was just talking about the other day, because I was talking to my parents about change, like physical quarters, and, you know, the old lady that would come up and drop $8.92 and just turn her wallet upside down. Yeah. And all these pennies and nickels and stuff would come out and you have to count it all. And now there’s no currency hardly anymore. You know, people don’t carry money. But then you go to rotating the apples and moving them forward and putting the new ones in the back. But I never expected this whole concept of a living wage at these beginner jobs.
SPEAKER 03 :
It’s nuts.
SPEAKER 11 :
You’re not meant to stay at McDonald’s your whole life. If you are, hopefully you’re a manager or you’re a division manager or director and you’re getting the bigger dollars. But it was a place to cut your teeth and learn how to show up on time.
SPEAKER 03 :
So my grandparents, my maternal grandparents, my grandfather was a butcher. and they had partners and they had a little market. It was called Palace Market. And so that’s where I learned the tricks. So when I buy an apple, I buy an apple from the back. Yes, that’s the new ones.
SPEAKER 11 :
The old ones get pulled forward. It’s no different than rotating your sock drawers and the joke goes. You pull the old, the older ones come forward and the new stuff goes in the back.
SPEAKER 03 :
Exactly.
SPEAKER 11 :
And that’s on every aisle, not just in the produce. Absolutely.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, I do buy from the back.
SPEAKER 11 :
The milk’s in the back.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 11 :
All the stuff from the back.
SPEAKER 03 :
From the back. Yeah, if you’ve never thought about that, you learned it right here on the Kim Munson Show. So, Karen, what was your first job?
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, that’s interesting, the conversation of minimum wage. So, once… I guess my first job was working.
SPEAKER 03 :
It wasn’t a quarter, was it, that you got?
SPEAKER 17 :
No, I think it was $2.10. But my dad was only paying me. My first job was with my dad at his company, and I was helping prepare payroll for a lot of employees. And back then, when you did payroll, you did it with a typewriter and carbon copies. And if you screwed it up, you pulled it out and started over. So I had typing skills. But I was part of MBLA, which was Future Business Leaders of America. That was an organization in high schools. And I was a member of that. And if you had a job, you got credit for that job. And I went and turned in my paperwork and my teacher said, well, we have a problem, Karen. And I’m like, we have a problem? What’s that? And she said, your father is required to pay you minimum wage to be part of this, you know, group. Program. So I had to go back to my dad and tell him he was not in line with his payment strategy to his daughter. And so I then was getting the $2.10, whatever. And I look at when I graduated from college, I went into a management position at $13,500. And I hear parents and I hear people today talking about affordability and not being able to buy a home. And I think what’s interesting is that my very first real estate job, somebody showed me how you qualify, what Lauren does for a living. I went home in tears and said, I’ll never be a homeowner. And then, unfortunately, my mom died at a very young age and left some money to my sisters and I. And I was able to take that as a down payment. And what I have told parents is this is not new in the marketplace, affordability. This is not new. And we have figured it out as Americans. We have helped generation after generation. And it wasn’t dependent on what Lauren said, a living wage at age 16. Right. So it’s interesting. We’ve caused the affordability problem through the policies and people we’ve elected.
SPEAKER 15 :
Once again, government getting involved in our personal lives. Absolutely. Kane, your first job. I worked at a fast food hamburger stand called Hugo’s Build a Better Burger.
SPEAKER 04 :
I love it.
SPEAKER 15 :
It was the first place that had a salad bar. So you would cook the burger. give them the cheese, and they would go out to the salad bar, and that’s where they would put all their condiments on. You know, lettuce, tomato, onions, or whatever. And so it became this first, I guess, implementation of a salad bar. And I became a manager. I was like a sophomore in high school. Because you showed up to work. I came to work, yeah. And you got a raise.
SPEAKER 03 :
Not because government did it, but because of your own work ethic.
SPEAKER 15 :
Let me say this. There should not be a minimum wage, period. I’m completely 100% against it. If I want to go to work for Lauren and say, hey, I’m going to undercut everybody that’s working for you. I’m going to take half that pay. Then he should be able to pay me that. I agree. If he wants that. And a good businessman would go, if he works good and he’s going to work for half, I’d do it. But our government’s gotten involved. And minimum wage, if you look back on the history of Negroes, most of these policies come from people trying to control the growth of Negroes. Minimum wage was established because the men from the South were going North and they were taking those construction jobs. And to stop them, they said, we’re going to implement minimum wage. So now the business owners are not going to be able to go and take these guys that are coming from the South to get these jobs from these white guys in the North.
SPEAKER 03 :
I didn’t know that.
SPEAKER 1 :
100%.
SPEAKER 15 :
I learned that at LPR, by the way.
SPEAKER 03 :
I did not know that. I need to tell one other quick story before we go to break. In studio with me is Lauren Levy, Karen Levine, and Kane. And Karen, you mentioned, what was it, carbon copies? Is that what it was? And if you made a mistake, whiteout, do you remember whiteout? Oh, I went through a lot of that.
SPEAKER 17 :
And you had greenout and yellowout because the carbon copies were all different colors of pages, remember? Oh, that’s true.
SPEAKER 03 :
That’s true. So when I moved to Colorado, I needed a job. And I was living, I made some detours and I was starting over. I basically had two director’s chairs, a broom, a bed, and an old Buick. That’s what I had. But I had this work ethic that my father… He said, you know, anything is possible. But I needed a job, and I needed a job immediately. So I went out to Stapleton Airport and applied at Continental Airlines because I thought I’d like to be a flight attendant. And they said, well, we’ll be back to you within the next year. I’m like, I need to eat now. And so I was looking for a job. and I was living with my aunt and uncle up in Longmont and there was a bank job, a new bank, that’s funny, and a new bank and they had one employee, they were looking for their second employee and I went and applied and I was not anything that they wanted. I was single, I was young, I was starting over and they were looking for somebody with a house payment, somebody really stable. And… So I just kept hounding them. They had 200 people apply for that job. It was for, I think, $475 a week. But I needed to eat. And so I applied for the job, and I told them that I could type this ungodly number of words a minute. And I thought I could, but I think I could have if the words were a and the. And so, but I loved the guys that I worked for, the president and the vice president. So I’m typing up these loan papers and wide out and it was a mess. And so about three hours later, the president comes over and he says, are you done with those loan papers yet? And I said, you know, I think I need a refresher typing course. and he said we’ll pay for it and so I went over to Boulder for months to a typing course to become a better typer I did not lose my job because they knew I was a hard worker but and I they said Kim the reason we gave you the job is because we had to keep our phone lines free because you kept bugging us so much and so we thought we’ll give her the job and so we can move on and so that’s how I got my first job in Colorado.
SPEAKER 15 :
I think that’s an excellent experience I think it’s important that maybe we should do this for our kids, that there’s suffering that has to take place. Oh, I was suffering. There’s suffering and there’s sacrifice for achievement. There’s no other way to get there. And we want to sanitize everything for these kids. Let them suffer. Let them go through the pain of growing because at some point in their life, They’re going to need that experience.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, they are. And my aunt and uncle said I could stay with them. I think I lived with them for three months so that I could get my down payment for my deposit. And it was not the safest area. And, of course, Longmont was not safe. But the guys next to me rode Harleys. And in fact, they would park their Harleys in their apartment. So that’s the kind of neighborhood that I was in.
SPEAKER 15 :
That sounds like a not very safe neighborhood.
SPEAKER 17 :
I was saying that it sounded really safe, actually.
SPEAKER 03 :
For the Harleys it was. So anyway, we’re going to go to break. And I’m very excited to have on the line with me Rebecca Kelty. And she is truly inspirational. And speaking about stepping forward, Cain, she stepped forward to run for state house. And she won by seven votes, which is super, super important. So we wanted to talk with her about that. Hey, Producer Joe, we were talking about our first job. What was your first job?
SPEAKER 18 :
It was a small three-person carpet cleaning company.
SPEAKER 03 :
That’s work. That is work.
SPEAKER 18 :
It was a family friend owned the company, and so I ran around with a little pressurized tube spray and degreaser to help clean the carpets the best I could.
SPEAKER 03 :
I should have you come over to my house. But we have on the line with us Rebecca Kelty, and she has won an election. It’s very close down in the Colorado Springs area. Rebecca, welcome to the show. darn it we lost her okay well we’ll set this up for her uh she uh is running for house district 16 and uh it’s a very close race she’s up by seven votes and that is going to trigger a recount and so i thought it was just important that we get an update because she’s run this campaign the incumbent has really been voting on a regular basis very far to the left And so just wanted to get an update on that. And hopefully we’ve got her now. Hey, Rebecca Kelty, welcome. Good morning, Kim. Good morning. Thank you.
SPEAKER 06 :
So, hey, what was your first job? My first serve was I worked at Little Caesars. I was a pizza maker.
SPEAKER 03 :
Awesome. Oh, that’s awesome. So tell us about House District 16. I was down at Colorado Springs, and you had presented, and you and I, we kind of run into each other from time to time. You’re an excellent candidate. Tell us what’s going on.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, at this time, you know, I was I technically I won the election by seven votes. And it was it was pretty up and down. You know, you know, I was down. Then I came up and I continually, you know, more and more Republican votes were counted. And and we finally we actually won the election in 2016 for Republicans and all conservatives, really, and hopefully everybody else. But, yeah, now we have to go to an automatic recount, and that starts the day before Thanksgiving.
SPEAKER 03 :
Do you need any more curing of ballots or anything like that?
SPEAKER 06 :
No, that was finished. They had, you know, I think it was… seven days, eight days, something like that, to cure the ballots. It was done last Wednesday, so it had to be, you know, that was it. They had to wait for the cures, and then they had to wait for the overseas ballots to come in. And whatever was in was in, and it was counted, and we won by seven votes. And that was the closest in Colorado history.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, my gosh, Rebecca. So is this going to be a hand count and the paper ballots, or what’s that recount look like?
SPEAKER 06 :
I believe so. Steve Schleicher had mentioned that he was looking at doing a hand count. So I think that’s what’s going to be happening. There’s a lot of cogs and wheels that are turning to have this happen. You know, there’s watchers and then there’s, you know, attorneys and then there’s it’s just crazy. And actually, anybody can go up and watch from the outside of the room if they want at the clerk and recorders here in El Paso County. So they’ve got big windows and everyone can go in there and not go in the room, but the outside of the room with all outside the windows, they can watch everything that they want to see. And they’re going to start on that on the day before Thanksgiving. They’re going to stop for the holiday for Thursday and Friday, and then they’re going to resume again on that weekend, Saturday and Sunday. So Thanksgiving weekend, they’ll be counting. They’ll be working hard.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay, and this makes a big difference regarding public policy here in Colorado. These seven votes, when people think that their vote doesn’t matter, their vote does matter, Rebecca.
SPEAKER 06 :
Every vote matters. And, you know, it makes me cringe when people say that. I’m like, well, you know, what do you have to lose? You know what I mean? Just turn it in, get it in. And I’m glad that they did. You know, we did a lot of caring. You know, people forget their signatures. You know, the digital signature didn’t transfer over when they were at the DMV or something like that. But, you know, a lot of people, they cured their ballots. We went door knocking. You know, we’re knocking on their doors late at night. Hey, cure your ballot. So all the hard work that my volunteers and door knockers and, you know, everyone that they did. And, you know, I owe it all to them. Colorado owes it to them because they worked hard. They really did. And this will make a difference. Oh, it’s a huge difference in Colorado. Well, right now, well, before they were in a supermajority. So Democrats had a supermajority. But because of my own, there’s three, we just flipped three seats. And because we flipped those three seats, mine included, there’s no longer a supermajority. It’s a much more balanced, well, it’s a more balanced legislation that we have. You know what I mean? Right. They’ll have majority, but they don’t have supermajority. And that means we conservatives actually have a stronger voice at the table now.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, that’s awesome. So keep me in the loop on that. Rebecca Kelty, thank you so much. Wish you a very blessed Thanksgiving. Thank you so much, Kim.
SPEAKER 06 :
And you know what? Thank you for everything that you do. You know what I mean? You are just the voice of the people in Colorado. And every time I see you and hear you, I’m like, oh, that’s Kim. I’m so honored to know you.
