SPEAKER 07 :
It’s the Kim Munson Show, analyzing the most important stories.
SPEAKER 17 :
An early childhood taxing district? What on earth is that?
SPEAKER 07 :
The latest in politics and world affairs.
SPEAKER 17 :
I don’t think that we should be passing legislation that is so complicated that people kind of throw up their hands and say, I can’t understand that.
SPEAKER 07 :
Today’s current opinions and ideas.
SPEAKER 17 :
And it’s not fair just because you’re a big business that you get a break on this and the little guy doesn’t.
SPEAKER 07 :
Is it freedom or is it force? Let’s have a conversation.

The text line is 720-605-0647. and certainly want to hear from you on all that’s happening out there. I thank you to all of you who support us. We are an independent voice on an independent station, and we’re searching for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. And it’s not compassionate or altruistic or any of those things to take, or in other words, you can put in there, to steal other people’s stuff, whether or not it’s their rights, their property, freedom, livelihoods, opportunities, lives. We see this. There are those in the agenda that’s trying to steal our children’s childhoods. And that’s not compassionate. It’s not right. And so they can use a weapon. But these days, it’s really been policy and unpredictable and excessive taxation and overreaching legislation, fear, coercion, government-induced inflation, the agenda of the World Economic Forum and the globalist elites. They play that out through the United Nations. This Colorado state legislature is radical and extreme, and they don’t do anything without the blessing of the governor here, Governor Jarrett Polis. He signed Senate Bill 25003 yesterday, which is that totally overreaching, unconstitutional firearms bill. And nothing happens down there without his blessing. It’s important to understand that. But we have land use codes and zoning regulations and forest fees and conservation easements and national monument designations All these things take away your rights. And that’s why we do the show, is to shed light on this and get our brain around these issues. Because remember, if something’s a good idea, you shouldn’t have to use force to implement it. We focus on the issues. We’ll talk about the people pushing those issues. But we’re really staying out of the whole personality fight over here on the show as well. Our word of the day is, is untenable. And Brad Beck, when he was in studio yesterday, used it and I thought, ah, that’s such a great word of the day. It’s spelled U-N-T-E-N-A-B-L-E. First definition could be not capable of being maintained or defended. Number two, not capable of being occupied or lived in. Or number three, insupportable or intolerable. And so many of the most of the legislation down at the state house is really untenable that we’re seeing proposed down there. Now, the legislative session will be over. I think it’s May 6th. So that’s right around the corner. However. We’re still in danger, danger, because what they’ve done is they’ve pushed out and given power to boards and commissions that are unelected, these bureaucrats. And they will all be very busy even after the legislative session is over. And so it’s untenable what is happening down at the Colorado State Legislature right now. And your challenge is to use untenable in a sentence today. Since it is Friday, I will be pulling our quote of the day from the Medal of Honor quote book from the Center for American Values. The center is located in Pueblo on the beautiful Riverwalk. Pueblo is known as the home of heroes, and it’s a very special place. They focus on these foundational principles of honor, integrity, and patriotism. It’s nonpartisan, and it’s nonpolitical. It’s just focusing on these issues. And so on Fridays, I pull a quote from the Medal of Honor quote book and give you the citation of the Medal of Honor recipient. And one of the things that I’ve learned over the years is you do not win the Medal of Honor. You are awarded the Medal of Honor. And many times it’s for things that you did on one of the most difficult days of your life. And that is where these men have basically stepped forward to protect those around them, to save lives. And it’s pretty important to understand that. So I pulled this today from Frederick E. Ferguson, United States Army Medal of Honor recipient, born in 1939. And these are actions that were taken January 31, 1968. And I know I interview so many veterans. I know I should know these things, these acronyms and these abbreviations. I don’t all the time. But I think CWO is Chief Warrant Officer. So I’m going to read his citation and then his quote. And again, this is by Frederick E. Ferguson. Andrew Dix, co-founder of the Center Down at American Values. He knows or has known all these guys or knows all these guys. And this is the citation. For conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action at the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty, Chief Warrant Officer Ferguson, commander of a resupply helicopter monitoring an emergency call from wounded passengers and crewmen of a downed helicopter under heavy attack within the enemy-controlled city of Huey, unhesitatingly volunteered to attempt evacuation.” Despite warnings from all aircraft to stay clear of the area due to heavy anti-aircraft fire, CWO Ferguson began a low-level flight at maximum airspeed along the Perfume River toward the tiny, isolated South Vietnamese Army compound in which the crashed survivors had taken refuge. Now, friends, let’s just stop for just one second. Despite heavy warnings to stay clear of the area because of heavy anti-aircraft fire, he began a low-level flight at maximum airspeed. You know what that really means? Just think about what that means. So anyway, coolly and skillfully maintaining his course in the face of intense short-range fire from enemy-occupied buildings and boats, he displayed superior flying skill and tenacity. by landing his aircraft in an extremely confined area in a blinding dust cloud under heavy mortar and small arms fire. Take that in. Although the helicopter was severely damaged by mortar fragments during the loading of the wounded, CWO Ferguson disregarded the damage and taking off through the continuing hail of mortar fire, he flew his crippled aircraft on the return route through the rain of fire that he had experienced earlier and safely returned his wounded passengers to friendly control. CWO Ferguson’s extraordinary determination saved the lives of five of his comrades. His actions are in the highest traditions of the military service and reflect great credit on himself and the U.S. Army. And we should be able to take great credit. great inspiration from these actions each day as we are going out and engaging in the battle of ideas that is raging in our country today. And this is what he said. He said, everything this country is or hopes to be is directly attributed to our veterans. One endearing principle guided their commitment to the nation, no matter where or when they served freedom. And certainly we can take great inspiration from Frederick E. Ferguson regarding his actions on January 31, 1968. Over here in the headlines, I did mention this yesterday, but I think it’s important. This whole thing, this whole onerous thing out of the World Economic Forum and controlling our lives, I feel really began with light bulbs. And I ended up having light bulb fights because I didn’t like the light bulbs. I didn’t like to be forced on specific light bulbs. I love choice of light bulbs. But then you see the Biden-Harris administration, they went after our shower heads. And I mentioned this yesterday, but this is this is from the Western Journal. It says Trump undoes ridiculous Obama Biden rule with the stroke of a pen. And. It says, over-regulation chokes the American economy and stifles personal freedom. This is a small but meaningful example in the Biden-Harris war on showers. And I’m adding some things in there. Trump wrote in an executive order that called for the repeal of the 13,000-word regulation that defined showerheads. My friends, this is freedom, and good for Donald Trump on that. One other thing is that a Colorado senator is expected to announce a run for governor. This is from KUSATV, and it looks like Democrat Senator Michael Bennett is expected to announce this run for governor today. His plans have been something of an open secret, and he becomes the instant frontrunner, they said, in the Democrat primary in a state that has elected only one Republican governor in half a century. And he is the second big-name Democrat to announce for the race following Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser. So Phil Weiser, Attorney General, is term limited, and so we’re playing chess right now. where Secretary of State Jenna Griswold has announced for attorney general. A question that had come in on the text line is, do you have to be an attorney to be an attorney general? And I don’t think so. And I don’t know if Griswold is an attorney or not. So we’re starting to see on the Democrat side players emerge. We’ve had last week Republican Senator, State Senator Mark Baisley was on. Really good guy. He’s announced his run for governor. Yesterday, Representative Scott Bottoms, again, really good guy. He’s announced his run for governor. That’s on the GOP side. And so this is going to be the year that we need to reclaim Colorado, my friends, and we’re going to work diligently to make all that happen. The show comes to you because of sponsors. And Hooters Restaurants has five locations, Loveland, Aurora, Lone Tree, Westminster, and Colorado Springs. A great place to get together for lunch or happy hour Monday through Friday with friends because they have specials on that. And, of course, a great place to get together to watch all the games because they are all the sporting events because they have so many different TVs, how I got to know them. It’s a really important story about the proper role of government. And you can find that on my website under the Hooters tab there. And then also the Roger Mangan State Farm Insurance team wants you to feel safe and well-served and to understand your insurance coverage. And their office will respond to your call or text 24 hours a day. And so for that 24-hour peace of mind, call Roger Mangan at 303-795-8855. Like a good neighbor, Roger Mangan’s team is there.

You can email me at Kim at KimMunson.com as well. Thank you to all of you who support us. We’re an independent voice and we search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something… is a good idea. You should not have to force people to do it. And I want to say thank you to the Harris family for their goal sponsorship of the show. And Susan Harris will be our featured guest in the second hour. So you really will want to hear from her as well. And we are coming in on the, in a way, the home stretch on this legislative session, 2025, 2020, well, 2025 legislative session. And so pleased to have on the line with me my representative. I know that you all realize I am so lucky that Brandi Bradley is my representative because she is a fierce patriot down at the statehouse protecting our children, caring about the people of Colorado. And I’ve got her on the line. Brandi Bradley, I was talking about you. Welcome to the show. Good morning, Kim. So happy to be here. Well, good to have you as well. And yesterday I had one of our listeners that texted me just a prayer that she was saying over you. And so I shared that with you. And I want you and your colleagues to know that we are praying for you down there. This is difficult. Get up every morning. You know you’re going into a place that there’s really evil legislation that is being proposed, particularly religion. regarding our children. But I just wanted to get an update from you, your ear to the ground, as we’re coming in towards May 6. Do you hear anything we need to be really concerned about? So first of all, thank you. And what should people know?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, the governor signed the most egregious and unconstitutional gun bill yesterday. So that is I think got everyone up in arms, if you’ll pardon the pun. We’re very upset about that, but hopefully that’s ruined his chances of running for president and any other offices. We also have a bill coming up where he is going to set aside $4 million to sue President Trump. I don’t know if your listeners have that on their agenda, but literally going to set aside $4 million. We’re a billion dollars in debt. We don’t have funding for education, roads, public safety, but we’re going to set aside $4 million so that we can be sure to sue President Trump. Great idea. Okay. And then 1312, we’re waiting for it to still drop in the Senate. That is the really egregious parental rights bill where they can take your children if you don’t affirm them down a path of mutilation and sterility. So we’re still waiting on that one. And
SPEAKER 17 :
you know we’ve got guns a-blazing i’m going on newsmax this weekend we’re not going to let up and we’re just waiting so i’ve heard that maybe 13 12 house bill 25 13 12 which as you mentioned is as you read it there’s that what you just mentioned that and that is and if parents don’t affirm their child’s questioning on their gender that child protection services could come in and take your child. That’s one of the things. The other thing that hasn’t gotten as much attention on that but that is a lot of concern as well is the discriminatory component of it in public places. So I think it means that any of us that doesn’t play into this lie of man being a woman or a woman being a man in a public place, that could be considered discriminatory. And who knows where that could lead. And really, these laws on being discriminatory laws, I think that really we should get rid of all of that. It can be bad manners for what people say, but we need to have freedom of speech. But I’m concerned about that other component on 1312, Brandy.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, your listeners should be very concerned. They are going to put misgendering and deadnaming into CADA, Colorado Anti-Discrimination Law. So you will be considered a hate crime if you misgender or deadname. And I will tell you, I have watched Democrats misgender Patone. I have watched Bob Marshall misgender his own aide because he has an aide who was a heterosexual male who is now – a transgender, I guess, woman. So it’s very interesting. We just saw Anderson Cooper do it to someone in the audience. So if they can’t even understand the rules, how do they expect everyone else to play by their woke ideology?
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, so this is the thing that they do is then they pick and choose. Right. And so they will give their side a pass, and then they will bring people up on charges potentially on this. Dead naming, I read that in 1312 as I was reading the legislation. What is that exactly, Representative Bradley?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, it’s named after a porn star and a man who was brought up on charges – Duane, I forgot his last name, who now goes by Tiara. They called it Tiara’s Law. And this man had a rap sheet of about 300 pages. And his name used to be Duane. His name is now Tiara. So if you call this gentleman, I shouldn’t say gentleman, that’s being kindly, too kindly. If you call him Duane instead of Tiara, that’s dead naming. So if you have a child that was once named Billy, who now goes by Sally. and you call him Billy, that’s dead naming. So you’re dead naming your child by using his biological name. It’s the most ridiculous thing, Kim, I’ve ever heard in my life. And if you listen to the Jefferson County School Board meeting last night, there was a gentleman by the name of Dustin. God bless this man. You can follow his story on my Twitter page. He literally, his ex-wife and the school board in the schools, took his daughter away from him for not affirming her. This is now, okay, this is without even the law, for not affirming, for asking questions about puberty blockers, took his daughter away from him.
SPEAKER 17 :
So I went down and testified on Representative Bottoms’ bill. Now, I can’t remember the number. I’m thinking maybe 1068, but it was the bill that he put forth that said that insurance companies did not have to be mandated to, to cover physicians that were doing this either pharmaceutical or surgical mutilation of our children. And Brandy, my initial comments on this were, in the old days, if you would have lined up our children and cut off the breasts of our adolescent girls and cut off the penises of our boys. We would have said that that was barbaric, and we would have done something to stand up for our children. But that’s what’s happening, particularly here in Colorado now with what they’re trying to have happen. I guess it is happening here in Colorado, Representative Brantley.
SPEAKER 03 :
It is happening. And Tanner Stage 2 says that they can start this as young as age eight in the state of Colorado. People need to wake up because they’re saying it’s not happening. Why would they come after us so much if it wasn’t happening? We know it’s happening in the state of Colorado. 1309 was a different bill that I tried to put an amendment on that you can’t have surgery for children under the age of 18. We passed a bill, 1309, that Satone was on, adding any kind of elective plastic surgery that the taxpayers have to pay for. It included a wide range of facial remodeling, breast augmentation, penis transplants, anything under the sun, lip injections, hair removal. And now the taxpayers are going to fund this. And guess what? Safety clause so that the people can’t petition it. And now the taxpayers are going to fund so men can look like women, but as long as they feel like their best self, then we’re going to fund it in the state of Colorado.
SPEAKER 1 :
1309.
SPEAKER 03 :
Look that one up.
SPEAKER 17 :
Wow. It’s official. I think we’re at the tip of the spear of crazyville. But Representative Bradley, a couple of things. You really are doing everything you can for the children of Colorado, which I love. but also you watch out for the taxpayers of Colorado as well. And I want to congratulate you. You were a 2024 cut or Colorado Union of Taxpayers, Colorado House Taxpayer Warrior. And that takes a lot to make that happen. So I want to say thank you to you for what you’re doing to stand up for our children and everyday people here in Colorado.
SPEAKER 03 :
Thank you. That award sits on my desk. I, you know, I love that I received that award. It means the world to me. The taxpayers have to know, you know, we’re a billion dollars in debt. We still pass a $16.9 billion budget. And what is that going towards? We’re funding a legal healthcare on the backs of the taxpayers. And what are the taxpayers getting for that? We’re 45th in the state for education. We’re the third least safe state. We’re 43rd in the nation for roads. I mean, the list goes on and on. What are we getting for that budget? I would say not much.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay, so from here on out, a couple of things. Last Sunday, I cannot believe that they called a session on a Sunday morning at 9 a.m., and that means you have to be there, basically, yes? Yes, we had to be there. How long did that session last?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, we were able to argue the first two bills, which was taxpayer-funded abortion with a taxpayer-funded gender mutilation for anyone and everyone. And then for the parental rights bill, they ruled 16 to us and did not let anyone argue. So two million Coloradans’ voices were completely silenced. And then the next bill, they ruled 16 to us, so Coloradans’ voices were silenced on that as well. So we left at three.
SPEAKER 17 :
Gosh, you know what? That doesn’t seem like a Republican form of government, Brandi.
SPEAKER 03 :
It’s not. I mean, we are on the verge of communism, and people think that we’re almost California. I say it all the time. We’ve told California to hold our beer. We are worse than California. And the people of Colorado, they’ve got to start getting involved, Kim. They’ve got to start getting involved. I don’t know when they’re going to get involved, but they’ve got to start getting involved.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and not only at the state level, but at the local and the county levels as well. Brandi Bradley, I really appreciate you taking the time as I know you’re headed down to the statehouse here. And what’s the final thought that you’d like to leave with our listeners today? And also, how can people sign up to get your newsletter?
SPEAKER 03 :
They can go to Brandi Bradley for F.O.R. H.D. 39 and follow me on Twitter at Bradley F.O.R. C.O. That’s the best way I post every day. Just get involved. We have 24 days left and 1312 we know is going to hit the Senate. And we want the Capitol to be full of parents, business owners telling the people or the legislators of Colorado, we are not going to stand for you to continue to take our rights away.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and so thank you. And again, reach out to our legislators. Let those that you are unhappy with what they’re pushing, let them know that. But also let those like Brandy Bradley, let her know that you appreciate what she is doing as well, because a little thank you goes a long way as Brandy and her colleagues are standing together. in the gap down there at the state house. Representative Brandy Bradley, God bless you. Thank you. And we’ll talk again soon. Kim, you’re amazing. So great to chat with you. Thank you for having me on. Well, it’s great to talk with you as well. And again, she is just, she is fearless and really appreciate Representative Brandy Bradley. I’m excited to welcome a new sponsor to the show. And that is the Second Syndicate Foundation. And we’ll be talking with them in the second hour. But as you all know, the Second Amendment was established to ensure that all individuals have the right to resist oppression, stand firm against government overreach, and protect our ability to defend ourselves, our families, and our freedoms. Clearly, that is under attack down there at the state legislature. So I’m so excited to welcome the Second Syndicate as a new sponsor of the show.
SPEAKER 16 :

We’re an independent voice and we search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through this lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you shouldn’t have to force people to do it. And in the first segment, I did give the quote from the Medal of Honor quote book from the Center for American Values. I wanted to make sure that I gave you that website, and that is AmericanValuesCenter.org. I will be down there on Wednesday emceeing one of their On Values presentations with Norma Donlon, who is a – well, she’s the widow of Roger Donlon, who was – I think he was the first one to receive the Medal of Honor. for actions during the Vietnam War. So that’s going to be a great event. It’s free, but you need to let them know that you’re coming, and you can do that by going to AmericanValuesCenter.org. Pleased to have on the line with me my friend Scott Powell, and he’s a senior fellow at the Discovery Institute. He is an entrepreneur. He founded two companies along the way in his career. He’s been a senior fellow at the Discovery Institute since 2010, and After a six-year affiliation with Stanford’s Hoover Institution, he writes in a number of different publications, but wanted to talk with him about a recent publication that he did in town hall. Protesters are wrong. Doge, tariffs, and law and order should be applauded. Scott Powell, welcome to the show. Thank you, Kim.
SPEAKER 14 :
Great to be with you.
SPEAKER 17 :
Good to have you as well. And the Trump II administration, he came out of the inauguration blazing. And I think that the radical activist extremists that had kind of been controlling things were not prepared for how organized he was. So it took about six weeks for them to get their protests, you know, their paid protesters out in the streets protesting that they wanted to support waste, fraud and abuse and all those kinds of things. But they’re now getting media time. So unpack this for us. What’s happening right now in America?
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, the protests have been with us from the beginning of time, really, from the beginning of the country. We protested Great Britain, and we probably had people in the street. The protests today, though, are of a different variety in that – and they have been different for quite some time. Really, our enemies recognized that they could undermine the elected government of the United States by mobilizing – street protesters. So this is not new, but we have to understand the nature of these protesters. First of all, there’s really two levels in every protest. There are the leaders, what we’ll call the ringleaders, and then there are the rank-and-file support people who come out, you know, who get their signs. So this is, Lennon would call the the street protesters, the sign carriers, the useful idiots. They don’t always understand, really, what the issues are. But the ringleaders, the people at the top, they understand. And the people at the top of these organizations are anti-American, what we could call American-hating people that really want to tear our country down. There’s no… And this now has more or less come into one of the major parties of our country. The Democrat Party has become really the party of destruction. And recently there was a poll done, I guess, and 55 percent of Democrats felt that Donald Trump should be eliminated, which is to say he should be killed and assassinated. This is a very sad commentary. on one of the major parties in America that this could even happen. It shows how far gone people really are. So anyway, these protests have been pretty effective in getting a lot of media attention, but I think that they’ve gone a bridge too far here, and I think that there is a backlash now. So I’m optimistic that this is not going to change Elon Musk or Doge, and it’s not going to affect public policy. But it makes ruling America look very messy.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, it is. And I’d had a conversation with a colleague, and we were talking about the murder, the shooting of the UnitedHealthcare executive and there are those on the left that have felt that this was that this was okay that united healthcare denied maybe some claims for people that they might have ended up you know with with significant health challenges or death and and so they had this anger towards united healthcare And I and so there’s those that are looking at it at this murder is as righteous or we even see this with this young black youth that stabbed. a another youth and who was white and that student died and there seems to be those that are trying to make this sound like this was a righteous thing to do because this kid had been bullied or all these things and again We need to get to a point where I think you and I both grew up with sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will never hurt me. Well, words do hurt, but it’s also called free speech. And this whole bullying thing, I’m not comfortable with that. So anyway, trying to make this seem righteous. And so then my colleague said, well, you know, Kim, George Washington, the Revolutionary War, they killed people. And I said, well, true. However, they were fighting for liberty. And ultimately, they were fighting to put in place a government with our U.S. Constitution that we wouldn’t have to fight like that to transfer power from one administration to another. They were fighting so that we did not have to settle our differences there. And so the idea that you just mentioned that there are many on the Democrat side that would hail the death of Donald Trump is deeply troubling.
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, it certainly is. I mean, one of the hallmarks of our system was that we created a system where the transition of power from one leader to another, from one party to another, would, of course, be done peacefully. and that people would agree that the elected government should be given a chance to govern, and that if the results were good, obviously the government would probably be rewarded. There would be re-election if it was constitutional. Presidents are limited to two terms. But those days have kind of gone away, and it really makes our country more like a third-world country than we’ve ever been before, where one power gets in and the other power out of office acts in such a way as to destroy the power, the other party, the other candidate, the leader. And it’s an ongoing war. And it’s a violent war. I mean, in many countries in Africa and elsewhere, you have violence still in the transition of power. We created a system that would be beyond that. And it’s really rooted in civility. And where does civility come from? Civility really comes from a relationship with God. When we think of Western civilization, you think of the period of chivalry, the way men treated women and so forth. There’s a great tradition that came out of Christianity that led to civilization and civilized behavior. And as we’ve driven God out of America, which we certainly have, we could trace that back at least to the 1960s where we took prayer out of school and And then we legalized abortion, the killing of the unborn in the early 70s. And it’s just been a progression since then of sort of breaking down civilization. And we are reaping the consequences. So even though we have elections, we have, you know, our government has to deal with uncivilized elements. And this is where we’re at. I think as law enforcement is more rigorously applied, people go to jail for terrorizing, for conducting what’s really domestic terrorism against private property like Tesla dealerships. People should go to jail for that. Absolutely. Destruction of property is serious. And if it isn’t stopped, then it sort of festers and other people feel This is the way mob behavior works. People wouldn’t do something if they were alone, but if they can do it in a mob, they somehow can carry out horrific crimes. activities that they wouldn’t do, perhaps, if they were alone.
SPEAKER 17 :
And ringleaders know that, Scott Powell. So we’re going to keep that out there and talk more about this when we come back from break. But the show comes to you because of our sponsors. And for everything mortgages, reach out to Lorne Levy.

You can email me at Kim at Kim Munson dot com as well. Thank you to all of you who support us. We’re an independent voice and we search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. And as you all know, I dearly love the USMC Memorial Foundation, Paula Sarles. My dear friend is the president. She is a Gold Starf wife and a Marine veteran. And they are doing great work in raising the money for the remodel of the Marine Memorial. But they’re going to have their second Memorial Golf Tournament on the 15th of May out at the Ridge Golf Course in Castle Rock. And so join them. You’ll be able to play a great round of golf, meet a lot of great people, and support the Marine Memorial. And you can get all the information about that by going to usmcmemorialfoundation.org. And I have on the line with me Scott Powell. And he is a senior fellow at the Discovery Institute. And also he is the author of the book, Rediscovering America, How the National Holidays Tell an Amazing Story About Who We Are. And Scott, I did want to mention Brad Beck, who is a good friend of mine and guest host the show sometimes. His birthday is on St. Patrick’s Day. And he sent me a picture, which I sent over to you, with some different things that he’d gotten for his birthday. But he always likes to post on Facebook books that he’s reading. And there he had your book. Somebody gave him your book for his birthday Rediscovering America how the national holidays tell an amazing story about who we are he was absolutely thrilled oh Scott hopefully you’re not on mute because I didn’t get you I had that great setup for your book so hopefully you’re there let’s try it again Okay, something happened, and so we’ll call him right back. I don’t know what happened on that. But again, I would really recommend that you have his book, Rediscovering America, How the National Holidays Tell an Amazing Story About Who We Are, at your home and on your Freedom Library. And this is a great book for your kids and your grandkids as well. You can sit down for each of the holidays. It’s a short little chapter, and you can talk about what each and every one of those holidays means. Now, we’re talking with Scott. He writes many important pieces, and he’s got real guts as he’s writing these pieces. But this is one of his most recent. It was published on April 8th at Town Hall. says protesters are wrong. Doge, tariffs, and law and order should be applauded. So we’re going to continue that discussion. Scott Powell, I did this amazing setup for your book, Rediscovering America, How the National Holidays Tell an Amazing Story About Who We Are by friend Brad Beck. Somebody gave him that book for his birthday, and his birthday is on St. Patrick’s Day. He was absolutely thrilled.
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, it’s nice to hear that. I mean, I wrote the book. I stopped my income work, and after Thanksgiving of 2019, I had a calling that I needed to write this story, this book about America. And little did I know that that calling was coming right before chaos was going to come to our country with COVID-19 and the shutdown of our economy. And all the things that happened as a result of that, we really haven’t fully, we haven’t recovered from that crisis five years ago. It’s really transformed our country. It’s affected our children. It’s affected so many things. To say nothing of the health of Americans being put at risk through this forced vaccination regime that was in place for some time. But anyway… The nature of the book is that it shows God’s hidden hand behind America. And what we learn is that when God was part of our country, when God was part of our culture, and we had godly people running for office and getting elected, things went very well for America. America did extraordinarily well. through the 1800s into the 20th century. But as we moved, as we drove God out of our culture, we’ve reaped horrible consequences. And you can see it very clearly, perhaps more clearly in Colorado than any other state, where the state is now saying that parents don’t have rights over their children, that if children have gender dysphoria, that the schools can you know, can groom them and cultivate them and take them away from their parents. This is unbelievable. I know.
SPEAKER 17 :
Here in Colorado.
SPEAKER 14 :
Absolutely unbelievable. Yeah.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, we are at the tip of the spear on this battle. And I appreciate you watching this because you don’t live in Colorado. But I had a couple of other things. First of all, we were talking about these protesters in the last segment. And Eric texted, he said, the protesters this time around are without young white Americans and young black Americans. They are old white Americans. And I have to agree with him. I’m seeing people that they’re trying to think of the good old days back there when they were protesting the Vietnam War. And I say that with tongue in cheek because I interview so many different veterans. But the protesters are thinking about those days when they were very proud of what they were doing back then. And I think that’s an important point that Eric brings up.
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, I think it’s actually a positive insight that maybe when these protesters die, we’ll have less protesting in America.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and we are not asking for their rapid demise. That is all natural is where we’re at on that. One thing, and you had done some links on this regarding geofencing to figure out who these protesters are. And I hadn’t understood really what geofencing is, but I think it’s where technology can be used to determine where people are. And I thought that was interesting what you mentioned in your article.
SPEAKER 14 :
And then the geofencing can be used to show that the same protesters show up again and again and again because that’s what geofencing can do. It can identify the cell phone and ultimately the user of the cell phone. I don’t think it should be used for any other reason than documenting perhaps who’s there, I wouldn’t want to see people, you know, legally prosecuted because they were at a protest and they’ve been at a previous protest and many other protests. People need to be held accountable to the law. And when people destroy property, That is a felony, generally speaking, if it’s valuable property, and people should pay the price. And Pam Bondi, the new attorney general, has come out very strongly, has recommended a minimum 20-year sentence for anyone that is involved in destroying property, specifically referring to the Tesla dealerships.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and you and I, I think both agree, and you make an important point. Geofencing, I know, has also been used for marketing. And I’m not sure that I really like it. But what you have mentioned is they have figured out it’s been the same people that are at these different protests. And I have friends that say, how do these people have this time to go to this protest, much less all these other protests? Because I need to be taking care of my family and my job. And that’s an interesting question because I think many of these protesters are being paid. But I want them to have the right to protest because that is freedom of speech and I will support that right. all day long the however though is the destruction of property and many of the things they’re protesting they may not even be telling the truth but that’s why you do what i you do why i do what i do and that is to engage in this battle of ideas because ultimately when truth is presented the truth will prevail yes it does it does we can count on that but we’ve got to have
SPEAKER 14 :
We’ve got to have free speech and protect free speech because otherwise the truth does not always emerge. False narratives. I mean, we have been living for really decades with many, many false narratives that people just assumed were true. I mean, a good example would be the Green New Deal. I mean, we have been lied to about many elements of this Green New Deal in terms of environmental, change because of carbon emissions it turns out it’s all false but that actually we flourish a little bit more when we have higher carbon levels of course um you know at some point it could be too high but at no time in human history has the carbon the levels of carbon dioxide ever threatened life in fact when carbon dioxide levels were high there tended to be more agricultural output
SPEAKER 17 :
Yes, which means more humans and animals had more food. That’s a great opportunity to mention a Climate Conversation documentary, which people can watch for free at aclimateconversation.com. Scott Powell, we have about a minute left. How would you like to wrap all this up for our listeners today?
SPEAKER 14 :
Well, I wrap the article up by saying when people are protesting these three these three things, DOGE, which is all about honest accounting. It means weeding out waste, fraud, and abuse, tariffs, and law and order. How can they protest this, especially in our precarious condition where we’re at right now? We have to have a change, of course. Our country is bankrupt. We’ve been on a trajectory of bankruptcy really since the Obama administration. And we know from history that when debt levels, when national debt levels get up above 125% of the country’s GDP, typically there can be a currency crisis. The combined debt now, when we add up a state debt and federal debt, our debt levels are now at 133%. We are in danger zone. And so if we would increase, stay on our trajectory of adding $2 trillion to the debt every year, It’s just years away from having a collapse, a failed Treasury auction where we couldn’t finance our debt. So we’ve got to have a change of course, and that’s what Trump has initiated. So Doge is the tip of the spear if we can eliminate more waste, fraud, and abuse. We can get government spending down, and we can also build up the revenue side, which is what Trump is doing with unleashing energy. And his gold visa program is very creative, bringing in immigrants who can create jobs. It’s great. I applaud that. So we can’t go down the We have to have a radical change of course. And that’s why people voted for Donald Trump.
SPEAKER 17 :
Absolutely. And it’s not easy, but we have to stay the course. Scott Powell, as always, thank you so much. Thank you. And our quote for the end of the show, I went to General George Patton. He said, better to fight for something than to live for nothing. So today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you. God bless America. And stay tuned for our number two.
SPEAKER 12 :

SPEAKER 17 :
Indeed, let’s have a conversation. And welcome to our number two of the Kim Munson Show. Thank you so much for joining us. You each are treasured, you’re valued, you have purpose. Today, strive for excellence. Take care of your heart, your soul, your mind, and your body, my friends. We were made for this moment in history. And thank you to the team. That’s Producer Joe, Luke, Rachel, Zach, Echo, Charlie, Mike, Teresa, Amanda, and all the people here at Crawford Broadcasting. Happy Friday, Producer Joe.
SPEAKER 12 :
Happy Friday, Kim.
SPEAKER 17 :
And we’ve been working like maniacs for Holy Week, which Holy Week begins on Sunday with Palm Sunday and then goes through the week to Easter Sunday. We’ll be live on the air on Monday. We’ve prerecorded with amazing guests Tuesday through Friday of next week so that Joe doesn’t have to be in it. Oh, dark 30 for the show next week. I’ll get to sleep in a little bit. But again, we’ve been working like maniacs, but we’ve got some great shows. Producer Joe. Oh, he’s on the line. Sorry about that. OK, throw it over to him. And he’s getting our guests lined around. So thank you, Joe. But he’s been doing amazing, great work. So thank you for that. Our word of the day is untenable. And it’s U-N-T-E-N-A-B-L-E. Number one, it could be not capable of being maintained or defended. Number two, not capable of being occupied or lived in. Or number three, insupportable or intolerable. And what is happening down at the Statehouse, particularly regarding our children and our Second Amendment rights to keep and bear firearms to protect ourselves and our families against bad actors, it’s untenable what’s happening down there. And so your… Your challenge will be to use the word untenable, U-N-T-E-N-A-B-L-E, in a sentence today. And that should be just pretty darn easy if you live in Colorado because there’s so much that’s going on that is untenable. Our quote of the day… is from the Medal of Honor quote book that is published by the Center for American Values, which is located in Pueblo. And I’ll be down there next Wednesday. I’ll be emceeing their On Values presentation with Norma Donlon. She is the widow of Roger Donlon, Medal of Honor recipient. But the Center is a very special place. And in particular, with their portraits of valor of all of their Medal of Honor, or not all of the Medal of Honor recipients, over 160 recipients, Medal of Honor recipients. But I’d love to have you join us next Wednesday. It doesn’t cost anything, but you do need to RSVP. You can do that by going to AmericanValueCenter.org. That’s AmericanValueCenter.org. But our quote comes from Frederick E. Ferguson, United States Army Medal of Honor recipient. He was born in 1939. These are actions he took January 31, 1968. The citation is unbelievable what he did. He flew a helicopter rapidly through all this enemy fire to rescue some of our injured guys. And anyway, it’s pretty amazing. But this is what he said for our quote of the day. He said, everything this country is or hopes to be is directly attributed to our veterans. One enduring principle guided their commitment to the nation no matter where or when they served freedom. And our featured guest in this hour is sponsor Susan Harris. And we’re in this battle of ideas that’s raging in our country now. And I think we are really in the third founding of our country. Obviously, the first was the Revolutionary War. The second was the Civil War. But we’re in this significant battle of ideas. But one of the things that people do, people that are pushing tyranny do, one of the first things they do is they disarm everyday law-abiding, hardworking citizens. And we saw something that happened here in Colorado yesterday. It’s absolutely unbelievable. And that is why I am so excited to welcome the Second Syndicate as new sponsors of the show. And I have Alicia Garcia and Teddy Collins on the line. And they’re with the Second Syndicate and just really excited to have them as new sponsors. So, Alicia, welcome to the show. Good morning, Kim. Thank you so much. Good to have you. And Teddy Collins, it’s great to have you as well.
SPEAKER 13 :
Thank you for having me.
SPEAKER 17 :
And, Teddy, you have a business, Spartan Defense, but you and Alicia are really focused on the second syndicate to bring. There’s all these different voices regarding our Second Amendment, which it’s put there. Alicia, you said the Second Amendment is put there to protect the First Amendment, correct? Absolutely. There is no freedoms if we can’t defend them. And Alicia, this is under attack here in Colorado big time. We’ve seen it with all different kinds of pieces of legislation. But yesterday, I could not believe that Jared Polis put his signature on Senate Bill 25003, Alicia.
SPEAKER 18 :
Well, I absolutely can believe it. I think that this is a we’re having a come to Jesus moment, if you will, that Colorado is being shown. to be the blueprint for the proposed tyranny that they want to implement all across the United States. And I think that we are a clinical battleground to demonstrate what they will do and what they are doing everywhere else.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and Teddy, what I am seeing is those that care about the Second Amendment, instead of fighting those that are pushing taking away our Second Amendment rights, it looks like a lot of people are fighting each other in this arena. And that’s why you and Alicia have founded the Second Syndicate.
SPEAKER 13 :
Yeah, we’ve seen a lot of infighting, which is unnecessary. We see a lot of people that are turning to tribalist-type mentalities that are pushing people away from the Second Amendment when they should be bringing people in. At the end of the day, the Second Amendment really isn’t a political issue. It’s a civil right, and it’s something that should be a large open tent for anybody who agrees that you have a right to self-defense. You have a right to defend yourself. You have a right to possess a firearm.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and Teddy, as I’ve studied history, and I look at some of the despots throughout history, and you can look at Stalin or Lenin or Hitler or Mao or Pol Pot. One of the first things that they do is they… to disarm the populace. And that is why I think our founders put in the Second Amendment. It wasn’t for hunting or fishing, which of course we want to have firearms for hunting and sporting sports, shooting sports, those kinds of things. But they put it in there so that we could protect ourselves and against bad actors whether or not that is a bad actor maybe it is a illegal gang member an immigrant gang member that’s here that’s trying to terrorize a neighborhood or it could be against a government that’s trying to take away our rights they put the second amendment in there for a very specific reason
SPEAKER 13 :
Absolutely. If you look at the documents from the founding fathers, the letters that they wrote to amongst each other, it’s very clear the intent of the Second Amendment was to be able to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government because a populace should not be afraid of its government, but a government should be afraid of its people.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and Alicia, what has happened, though, is the narrative out there has been to scare people regarding firearms and to say that, gosh, if we could just keep firearms out of these shooters’ hands, these that are school shooters or a variety— If we could just make sure that nobody has firearms, then we will prevent crime. We’ll prevent these shootings. That’s not the case. The only thing that really happens is then the bad guys have the firearms and we, the law-abiding citizens, don’t, Alicia.
SPEAKER 18 :
Well, what the left is doing is very smart. They’re using trauma to trauma bond society and anti-gunners to thinking that the pain that they’re enduring and they’re experiencing in society is because of guns when reality is it’s because of violence and it’s because of mental health issues and an array of other things that we’re suffering from in our society but rather than addressing the true problem and getting involved in our community and rehabilitating our children in taking time to provide enrichment and community involvement They take the easy route, and that is finding a scapegoat, and the scapegoat is the firearm. Rather than addressing the root cause of the issues that we’re having, they’re saying, hey, you know what? We’re going to take this trauma, and we’re going to exploit it, and we’re going to tell you that, you know what? You don’t need these guns. You don’t need these, quote-unquote, mass weapons of war. You need us to protect you, and it’s working, and that’s the sad part because— These people are falling for the trickery and they’re falling for the lies and they’re giving up their civil rights because the truth is they can’t take our rights from us. We have to give them up. And the way that they’re convincing people to do that is with trauma.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, well, well explained on that, Alicia. So, Teddy Collins, what do we do from here? Because there are other firearms bills as well. I’m the… i have a volunteer gig as the president of the colorado union of taxpayers and we’ve got this really great technology where we are watching legislation down at the state house and i asked the developer to flag me with any of the bills that have the word firearm in them And as of the other day, let me just check right now. As of the other day, there were 22 bills down there with the word firearm in them. And so I think this has been a strategy with Senate Bill 003 is taking so much time, money, energy, resources. We all know that there’s going to be a legal challenge to this. But those that are trying to take away our Second Amendment rights, they realize that they can take those resources that will have to be dedicated over there while they’re doing a whole bunch of other things. And just checking Bill Track 50, there now are 25 bills down at the statehouse with the word firearms in there. So here we’ve been focused on 003, but they’re doing other stuff as well, Teddy.
SPEAKER 13 :
Yeah, it’s a classic look at the left hand while the right hand does this. I mean, that’s their goal. Their goal is to divide us. Their goal is to put so many bills into place that we pay attention to one while they do things with others. I mean, really, we need people to get involved. The left and the anti-gunners are better financed than we are. They do ballot initiatives every year while we do very little ballot initiatives. We need to get some ballot initiatives because even if we were to take a perfect sweep of the House, the Senate’s, and the gubernatorial office next year in 2026. We’re still waiting a minimum of about three years and everything would have to go in our favor to try to get this taken off the books. We need lawsuits and we need to make sure that we’re running ballot initiatives every single election to try to get this removed from the ballot or try to get this removed from law.
SPEAKER 17 :
So that is why creating the second syndicate is so important, Teddy. So what do you want people to do instead of, I know, all these different, as you mentioned, kind of tribalists on this issue? You’re trying to bring people together. So what should people do?
SPEAKER 13 :
Well, we’re 501c4, which means we’re tax exempt, and that means that the majority of our funding goes to lobbying efforts. We can fund other 2A organizations with that. We can propose ballot initiatives. We can file lawsuits. Visit thesecondsyndicate.com. That’s the2ndsyndicate.com. And check us out. We have a very limited time on your show here today. We also run a podcast weekly on YouTube on the Spartan Defense Armory channel where we have some really good guests come on and we talk about these issues. So definitely check out the Second Syndicate, tune in, and yeah.
SPEAKER 17 :
Great. And Teddy Collins, I thank you. And Alicia Garcia, I am absolutely thrilled to welcome the Second Syndicate as a sponsor of the show because we are on the same page regarding our Bill of Rights and the Second Amendment. So I’m really excited about this. Well, thank you so much. We’re also very excited. We really appreciate you welcoming us to your platform. And again, what is that website, Alicia Garcia? It is the2ndsyndicate.com. Okay. Very good. And then we are prerecording for next week. And then we’ll also have you guys or a guest of your choice on once a month as featured guests as well. So we’re going to stay on this issue and it’s super important. So Alicia Garcia, Teddy Collins, thank you and have a great day.
SPEAKER 13 :
You too.
SPEAKER 17 :
God bless. Thank you. And, again, I’m blessed with amazing sponsors, and the Roger Mangan State Farm Insurance Team is one of those. And as I say every day, I am blessed with amazing sponsors. And I know each and every one of them personally. And one of those is on the line, and that is Susan Harris. And I so appreciate the Harris family for their goal sponsorship of the show. Susan Harris, welcome.
SPEAKER 05 :
Good morning, Kim. I hope you’re having a great morning. You know, I realized this morning we’re in different time zones now because Arizona does not do daylight savings time. So It’s so funny.
SPEAKER 17 :
I’m so glad I remembered that before I was to come on the line. So does that mean that it’s 622 at your time? Yes. Yes. Well, bless you. I hope the rest of the country and hopefully Donald Trump does this. This daylight savings time. I can’t tell you how many people have told me that they basically had jet lag from this changing of the clocks. I hope we I hope that we get on Arizona’s time and stay on it.
SPEAKER 05 :
You know, that’d be great. So we were on mountain time until everybody changed their clocks for the spring. So now we’re on Pacific time. I actually prefer mountain time. I’d love to just be on mountain time all the time. So even though we don’t move our clocks, we move to a different time zone, which is confusing. But at least we don’t have to change our internal sleeping clock. So that’s nice.
SPEAKER 17 :
No, I think that really it does affect people. In fact, Rachel, one of the producers on one of the other stations, she I saw her a week after the changing of the clocks. And she said, Kim, I’m still not sleeping properly. I think I have jet lag. And yeah, I think it really messes people up. But Susan Harris, you and I have been friends now for a long time. First of all, I want to say thank you. to you and your family for the continued support of the show. And I know that you support a lot of great causes throughout the country. You’ve done a lot of great work with Prager University, which they’re doing a lot of great work. And I really appreciate you having us as part of the repertoire as well.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, it is just my pleasure, Kim. You know, every time I listen to your show, I learn something new. And even though there are so many challenging issues, especially in Colorado as a state. I feel like we’ve gotten some reprieve. On a national level, I want to just call it a little breathing room, so certainly there there’s much to fight for still, but Colorado is a state. It’s really hard not to become pessimistic and you talk about these issues. You make sure that the local people there in the state know what they are and know the truth behind these issues. And I just consider that extremely valuable. The only way that we’re going to have an impact on people’s opinions and their votes is to provide the information. And you do just a stand up job in that department.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, I thank you for that, Susan. And you and I have had important conversations over the years and you have tremendous insight. And so I thought, let’s talk about Trump, too. And I’m calling this the third founding of our country. And you mentioned we have it’s somebody said that the Trump and company opened the door just a little bit. Trying to get this ship turned around, it’s painful. Because those that have been in power, they don’t want to give up this power. And so it’s really interesting what’s happening in our country. But I am encouraged. I’m seeing more and more people. the light seems to be going on. They’re saying, wait a minute, these protesters are protesting that they want to support waste, fraud, and abuse. And then I think the next thing is, is like, well, are they on the gravy train of waste, fraud, and abuse? I think people are starting to connect the dots.
SPEAKER 05 :
I think that’s so true. It’s so interesting that the things that are happening are The Democrats and some Republicans, too, the pushback against making progress, streamlining the government, things that seem to be common sense. It’s just so interesting that they would scream so loud about making these changes. And I think you’re right. It really is telling. The other one is just the insider trading issue. I think that speaks volumes, the people that push back on that. So it’s very compelling. And I do think it’s just, you know, it’s so frustrating to kind of be patient and let all these initiatives kind of work their way through the government process. But That journey of allowing that to happen is really what educates the people. And as long as we can be patient and let that happen and still be clear in our position, I think we will be victorious on most levels.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and one of the sound bites that we have for the show is that it takes real work to get your brain around these issues. And again, that’s why we do the show. But it takes work to really critically think about things. I remember as a kid, I had teachers, my parents that would say, now, Kim, put your thinking cap on. And somebody actually gave me a cap that says thinking cap on. But so many people, I think we’ve gotten mentally lazy in some ways. And we do really have to put our thinking caps on and say, who’s behind this? What’s their agenda? What’s the long-term effects if this happens? And so, Susan, one of the arenas that I’ve been really concerned about is the integrity of our elections and have been working in that arena here in Colorado. And I think it’s important that people put their thinking caps on about, and there was at the beginning of the hour with Helen Creeble with her lens of liberty. She had asked the question about we have to show a driver’s license to get on a plane, to drive a car, to open a bank account, but we don’t have to show a driver’s license to vote? Well, we have to say, why? Why is that? And so moving over to the election side, Donald Trump issued this executive order, and the experts in this election integrity field that I’ve talked with have said he was very careful with that executive order to basically say he wants to enforce laws that are already on the books regarding elections. And so I think it was really smart what he did on that, Susan Harris.
SPEAKER 05 :
I do, too. And, you know, I think what people don’t understand and in their defense, most people are so busy trying to pay their bills and raise their families that it is very difficult to take the time that you really need to take to understand what’s going on and not just not just hear the brief sound bites coming out of the various media options that speak the loudest. So I do understand that. But, you know, I think one thing that people need to really pay attention to is election integrity. Yes, it is a domestic issue and there are nefarious characters domestically, but there are also very nefarious characters globally. And when you start to dig pretty deep into that issue, you discover pretty quickly that there are some foreign bad actors involved in this. And that is what we need to really beef up the security in our elections against. And it’s so simple. But the foreign bad actors that are involved are also participating in the campaign in America with money to convince people that we don’t need it or that it’s wrong to ask for I.D., So they’re acting on every level of the issue, not just, you know, in the background. We are just unaware of it. They hide themselves in organizations that are American, but they are not American.
SPEAKER 17 :
Really important point on that, Susan Harris, and we’re going to continue that discussion. But all of these discussions happen because of our great sponsors like the Harris family. But for everything residential real estate, reach out to Karen Levine.
SPEAKER 01 :
Property is surely a right of mankind as real as liberty, wrote founding father John Adams. RE-MAX realtor Karen Levine has been working diligently at the local, county, state, and national levels to protect property rights and home ownership. Karen has navigated the often challenging Colorado metro real estate market for years. That’s 303-877-7516.
SPEAKER 16 :

And welcome back to The Kim Munson Show. Check out our website. That’s Kim Munson, M-O-N-S-O-N dot com. Sign up for our weekly email newsletter. You can email me at Kim at Kim Munson dot com as well. Thank you to all of you who support us. We’re an independent voice and we search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through the lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. We are an independent voice on an independent station. And what that means is that we get to work with some amazing people as our sponsors. One of those is Susan Harris and the Harris family. And I thank them for their gold sponsorship of the show. And Susan Harris, it’s great to have you on the line. And with the election of Donald Trump, Trump, too, We are seeing, I think, an opening to reclaim our country. I’m referring to this as the third founding of our country. And one of the foundations of this is honest and transparent and fair elections. I want to have candidates engage in the battle of ideas for voters to understand what those candidates are really about and then have an honest election on that. And out here in Colorado, they’re calling – they’re saying that we have the goal standard. But through the work that I’ve done regarding these lawsuits that we’ve gotten in place, we don’t have the goal standard. In fact, one of our lawsuits, we – the Secretary of State said, oh, your data is old, as we had presented that for the lawsuit. So we – Peter Bernager with the Wisconsin Center for Election Justice – ran the data again as of November 5th, as of Election Day. And it had to be a really targeted list because of what’s called NIVRA, the National Voting Rights Act. But in that, Susan, we have proof that 14,500 people that should not have gotten ballots in Colorado voted. That is not the gold standard. Down in Arizona, where you’re at, I continue to see Maricopa County in the headlines. So tell us a little bit about Arizona.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, you know our our election system here is also compromised and it’s very strange because anytime you try to challenge it, there’s pushback from every political entity in the state. It seems like no one seems to want to really dive into the issue and solve the problems. Our voter rolls are compromised as well, just like probably every voter roll across the country. In fact, I’m trying to remember the exact timing, but November was a little better than the midterm elections before that, where we elected a new governor. There was so much corruption in the election, and various polling stations, the printers weren’t working, and it was almost like a targeted attack that was planned. that the printers went down so that ballots couldn’t be printed and read properly. I mean, it’s a very long list of issues that need to be addressed to clean things up. Now, the voter rolls are being cleaned up slowly but surely, but there’s just constant pushback on making productive progress on all of that.
SPEAKER 17 :
And one has to ask why. It seems like everyone, and I I really think that the big, broad middle of America wants to have honest and transparent elections. And so I think we have to ask the question why and who would not be pushing to try to get to that point. But you mentioned this in Arizona. I see this even here in Colorado. is why haven’t we on both sides of the aisle, I know the radical activists, extremists, Democrats, I get that, but why hasn’t everybody else been demanding that we have elections that are free, fair, honest, and transparent, that we can trust? And we’ve got to get to that point. I’ve talked with people about it. We need to make sure that we work for that. And then we also need to have candidates that understand the proper role of government that will really represent the people. Those two things for 2026 need to occur at the same time. Susan Harris.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, I, you know, I’m hoping that the timeline won’t continue to get pushed out to clean up our election process. You know, it seems like we’ve been working on this since, well, 2016, really, but 2020, absolutely. And the information is trickling out much more quickly now. And so I think the momentum is going to happen so that we can have a much more fair election in 2016. Or 2026.
SPEAKER 1 :
2026.
SPEAKER 05 :
I actually think in 2024… There were some things in place that made sure the election was more secure. And I think it’s things that we are not privy to, to be honest. I think there are things going on behind the scenes. I’m not sure who is behind it, but law enforcement on some level, I do think there are things going on behind the scenes that are helping. And I just don’t think it’s anything that they can bring out into the public at this time. Because as I said, I think this is a much bigger issue than just domestic. I think it’s a foreign global issue and that there are nefarious actors overseas that have their hands in this. And that could be another reason that it’s difficult to solve the problem because of where the actual problem really is. And it’s so complex and difficult to explain to people. You can’t just in a 20 second sound bite make people understand what’s really happening.
SPEAKER 17 :
Right. As you were just saying this, Susan Harris, I’m thinking about this whole tariff thing. Which your your head spins every day regarding what Trump has been doing on these tariffs. It really does. But I also think he’s been using this as a tool. And I wonder if and again, I’m just surmising. I wonder if. If that may be one of the things he’s doing regarding China as well, because I think that they’re one of the big nefarious actors in our elections, at least from some of the articles that I read.
SPEAKER 05 :
I think absolutely that is true. I think the tariffs play a big role. I also think getting rid of these Venezuelan gangs, And cartels, I think they play a role in it. You know, I think it’s all connected. It really is. And one of these days, we’re going to find out how it all worked. But the tariffs, I think, are amazing. And it’s so interesting to watch it happen. Again, it’s so hard to be patient and let things play out because we’re all worried about our own financial situations and the economy at large. But I have a lot of trust that the administration, they really do know what they’re doing. And there’s so much going on behind the scenes that we are unaware of. And I have just a great deal of trust. One thing I know is Trump’s legacy hinges on all on all of that he’s doing right now. And he is determined not to fail. So, um, I just really trust that they have a lot of integrity. and a lot of information that we are not privy to.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, I think that’s true. And I think him revoking the security clearances of these different law firms, of these different people, I think is really – it’s like why would you let them know what you know if they have been – for example, wasn’t it Senator Feinstein that – It was her driver or one of the people that she was employed for many, many years, was very close to her, had been reported that they had ties to the Chinese government. Well, why would you let those senators have our secrets if, in fact, they’ve got somebody in their inner circle that may be working for the enemy?
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, it makes no sense. The other thing that I would like to point out is Trump put a lot of tariffs in place in his first administration and other countries. You know, we’ve seen now what these tariff rates are against us, if you want to call it against or, you know, that we have to pay for products going into other countries. No, no one. And the Biden administration didn’t remove a single tariff that Trump put in place. I did not know that during his administration. So they were fine. Everybody’s been fine with tariffs until now. Right. So and everybody seems to be fine with tariffs that other countries have used and their economies are not, you know, in the tank. So when you when when you get all the fear mongering around U.S. putting tariffs on other countries, I just think it’s insincere and hypocritical at this point.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, Trump had that press conference, and he had this big poster with the different countries and the percentage of what they charge on tariffs on our products going into their countries, which I had no idea. The implication is that they don’t charge any tariffs. Well, they’ve been charging us all kinds of tariffs, and Trump realized that, and he said, okay, we want to make this fair. Yeah, let’s level the playing field. You think? Isn’t that what the Democrats always say, level the playing field? And I want to make a point. The people in control of this Democrat Party are not the Democrats of your grandpa and your grandma or JFK. No, no. Totally different, right, Susan?
SPEAKER 05 :
That’s right. That’s right. Not even close. In fact, you can see even Hollywood and certain… media people are having a hard time continuing to support the insanity on the far left. And so it’s very interesting to watch all of them move to the middle or actually not even change, but because the left has moved so far off the chart of sanity, it seems like former liberals are now conservative, even though they haven’t changed their position at all.
SPEAKER 17 :
So somebody had posted a meme or something. They said, where are we living where we have people that are environmentalists, I’ll put that in air quotes, destroying Teslas, and that we have conservatives driving cyber trucks? It’s like, how did all this happen, Susan Harris?
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, it’s really, you know, it’s hard to understand, yet it’s kind of… A good thing, I think, that it has gone this far because now it’s much easier to see what’s really happening or at least on some level how insane the situation is and how we really need to say no at this point. And that includes, you know, so many issues. The transgender issue in Colorado has just gone off the deep end. But so many issues, we just have to start saying no and put up with the consequences personally of that.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and I know people are concerned looking at the stock market and things could I think they will be rocky right now because getting the ship turned around, it’s not going to turn around on a dime. And I I do think that Trump and company are trying to stay within the confines of the Constitution. And that’s really my litmus test on what they’re doing is I want to make sure they stay within the confines of the Constitution and But it’s going to be rocky right now to get this turned around. But if we don’t, for our children and our grandchildren, we are going to run them off a cliff. And so we have to step forward now, Susan Harris. And I know that you’re doing that with all the great work that you’re doing. And I always feel encouraged after our conversation. So what’s your final thought you’d like to leave with our listeners?
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, I would like to say I do feel so much optimism right now, especially in the younger generation. I recently got some information from Turning Point USA. You know, they’re out on the college campuses and there are thousands and thousands of students now attending their events. So it is very encouraging. I feel like we really have turned a corner on the culture which is, to me, the first step or at least a big part of turning the corner on just voting in general and some common sense coming back into the culture of our country. And I think it’s so important.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, great point, because policy is downstream from politics and politics is downstream from culture. And we’ve abdicated, I think, in this culture war for too many years. And as you mentioned, we’re seeing really encouraging things happening. happen. And we’ve just got to stay the course, pedal the metal, speaking truth into this. And so Susan Harris, again, thank you to you and your family. We’re coming into Holy Week. I wish you and your family a very blessed Holy Week and a happy Easter.
SPEAKER 05 :
Thank you, Kim. Thank you so much.

And welcome back to The Kim Munson Show. Check out our website. That is KimMunson, M-O-N-S-O-N.com. Sign up for our weekly email newsletter. You can email me at Kim at KimMunson.com as well. Thank you to all of you who support us. We’re an independent voice and we search for truth and clarity by looking at these issues through this lens of freedom versus force, force versus freedom. If something’s a good idea, you should not have to force people to do it. So I want to get through some of these text messages. Again, that text line is 720-605-0647. And if you want to call in, that number is 303-477-5600. This is from Richard. I had mentioned geofencing with… Scott Powell in the hour number one regarding locating where people are via their cell phones. And Richard said that he says, I think the correct terminology is geolocation. Geofencing refers to the way you can set up your wireless thermostat to recognize when you’re within a half mile of your house. and it can change the setting on your thermostat to start to warm up the house before you get there. Richard, thank you for that clarification. Then he also said, so after Annapolina Luna declared a one-week recess in the house, Mike Johnson is going forward with an Easter recess. So instead of working on President Trump’s budget, they’re going home. And Richard said these people have no shame. They’ve been elected to do our business, but they’re more interested in taking their days off, and they only work three days a week anyway. He says this is disgusting. I think he’s right. This is disgusting. We have Yvonne on the line with us, and she is the co-founder of Perspectives 101 up in northern Colorado. It’s a nonpartisan group, really just a civics group to inform people, and so she does a lot of great work in northern Colorado. Yvonne, welcome to the show.
SPEAKER 04 :
Thank you, Kim, and good morning. Great to be with you.
SPEAKER 17 :
Good to have you as well. So what’s on your radar?
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, I was listening to your conversations about identifications for voting. And you know how you and both I are pretty sticklers on language and how it’s used. So we have to be very careful here how we use our language. Okay. So we don’t want people to have to show their driver’s license to vote. Why? Because driver’s license are to be shown… To the DMV, who issues it, and also to police officers because when they’re checking, if you have a driver’s license, they are a driver’s license. But it is an ID, but it is a driver’s license. But driver’s licenses are issued to non-citizens. So we have to be careful what we’re asking for here. And I laugh when I go to the bank and they say, can I see your driver’s license? I’m like, why? I’m not driving. You want an ID? Okay. So we have to be very careful. But the issue is, even in Mexico, where I lived decades ago, There are special identifications that are a voter ID. And you can just Google Mexican voter ID and they’re there. And they have to do it too. So when people say it’s racist and people are unable to do this and that, it’s a good start to ask for an identification, whether that be a passport, whether that be a driver’s license or something, to compare to see if the person who is voting is actually that person. And that’s, you know, if the thing wasn’t falsified anyway. But what we really, the goal down the line is for us to have a voter identification. Why? Because a voter identification is, in essence, certifying that we are a citizen and are eligible to vote. So we have to be careful that just any ID isn’t good for certain things, especially now that driver’s licenses, at least in Colorado, I don’t know every other state, are issued to non-citizens.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay, well, this is tongue in cheek, Yvonne, but, and yes, you’re correct. People that are here, non-citizens, people that are here illegally can get a driver’s license, but they’re supposed to self, report’s not the right word, but self-report and say, oh, I’m getting a driver’s license, but I’m not a citizen. So that means they should not automatically get that ballot. But again, connect these dots here in Colorado and, Anytime anybody has an interaction with a government entity, whether or not it’s the Department of Motor Vehicle or it could be getting Medicaid, that that can very possibly… That they will automatically get a mail in ballot. And so we’re talking about two different inflection points in our elections right there where we have a problem. And go ahead.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yes. And so and with that self-identify, we have two problems. One, one would have to know that one has to self-identify as a non-citizen. So if you don’t know that you have to do that, then you might not do it just because you don’t know you have to. And then there’s, of course, the ones who wouldn’t do it for ulterior motives. So there’s two things. One, just through not knowing. And so we should not be hinging who is voting in our elections based on people are informed on what they should be saying or not saying, on whether they intend to say what they should say or not say, whether they want to deceive. We should have provable identification cards. that are intended for voting because they’re tied to citizenship. And I’m guessing that a passport, a U.S. passport, could serve as that because a U.S. passport is a document of citizenship for international travel. So maybe. But let’s not think that showing a driver’s license is going to solve all our problems. Showing NID, which might be a driver’s license, is a good start, but that is not where we intend to go.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, and Yvonne, did you, and I think you probably do know this, that in Colorado, it does not have to be a driver’s license. You can actually show a utility bill. And that can be okayed as identification. So we’ve got just two minutes. And that’s ridiculous.
SPEAKER 04 :
I know. And a utility bill does not have a picture. And the whole idea behind an identification is that there is a picture attached, you know, that picture on it, and you’re looking for a resemblance of the person that’s standing in front of you.
SPEAKER 17 :
Okay. Okay. Okay. So, Yvonne, thanks for calling in on this. I got a couple of other things in text messages I wanted to mention. But excellent point. We will continue this discussion. And I do appreciate Yvonne as well because she guest hosts the show sometimes and does a great job. So thank you for all the great work you do. Okay, she already jumped off. Okay, great. And then this came in on the text line. Today at the Colorado Capitol, 11 a.m., there is a March for Life. And so our listener wanted to make sure that you all know this. And I’ve got to check on this. I don’t know if you’re talking about Cut Colorado Union of Taxpayers. Our new cutting gauge, one of our listeners said when they try to email their legislators down at the Capitol, they’re getting a reject message. So we’re going to have to check that out for all of you. So we will certainly do that as well. And OK, CWO from the first hour, I was saying I don’t know all of these abbreviations, military abbreviations. I had looked that up on the internet. It said CWO was chief warrant officer. Yay, I got that one right. But thank you for confirming that. This one cracked me up. Kim, will you consider running for Colorado governor? No, we’ve got great candidates out there. But says, please save us from Michael Bennett. Do totally agree on that. I wonder who they are surmising. that if Michael Bennett won that race, which we are going to reclaim Colorado, not have that happen, but who they would then try to appoint as that U.S. senator. So that’s just one of those things to ruminate on. So my friends, I wish you a great weekend. We’ve got so much going on. I’m so encouraged. I so appreciate all of you. And our quote from General George Patton, and when he says fight for something, we want to be fighting for the right, for the right principles, for freedom and justice. and these principles of our country that all men are created equal with rights from God of life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. Those are the things to fight for. So George Patton said this, better to fight for something than to live for nothing. So today, be grateful, read great books, think good thoughts, listen to beautiful music, communicate and listen well, live honestly and authentically, strive for high ideals, and like Superman, stand for truth, justice, and the American way. My friends, you are not alone. God bless you, and God bless America.
SPEAKER 06 :
Young like a new moon rising fierce Through the rain and lightning Wandering out into this great unknown And I don’t want no one to cry But tell them if I don’t serve
