All right, appreciate it. Talk to us about AI. I know we’ve talked about this some. I talk about it considerably, but we’re at war with China when it comes to AI.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, you’re absolutely right. Look, the Chinese run on five-year plans, as I’m sure your listeners understand, and the next one ends in 2030. And their end goal by 2030 is to completely dominate the production of hardware and software used for AI around the planet. And they are well on course to doing that, unfortunately, thanks in part to their almost monopoly on rare earth elements, and especially the refining of those rare earth elements.
SPEAKER 11 :
The biggest thing that they struggle from, and this is my question to you as to how well they’re doing to overcome it, is, you know, as you probably know, and I’ve talked about this a lot, and this is not… being derogatory. It’s just the truth. They’re not innovators. They are copiers and improvers of something that already exists. They’re very inept when it comes to actually inventing something from scratch. So the question I have for you is, given that fact, how far along and or what’s their ability to actually overtake us in this regard, given that they don’t invent?
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, I think you’re absolutely right. It’s been that way historically, and I’m sure will continue to be. But what they’ve gotten very good at is spying on us and stealing what we produce. One great example of that, of course, AI is driven by power. And here in the U.S., we innovated the use of nuclear power production and gas-cooled reactors and fast-breeder reactors, but scrapped most of those plans in the 70s and 80s due to many different concerns. But the Chinese then picked up on that technology and ran with it and improved it. So we keep giving away our secrets. or letting them steal them, then that’s how they’re going to get the edge.
SPEAKER 11 :
Yeah, and that’s the one thing, Chris, as an American and somebody that’s been in the auto industry my whole life, it’s been very frustrating to me to watch some of the things that we have literally allowed to happen. And in some cases, Chris, I’ll go as far as to say I think we’ve encouraged it even as a country at times. And it’s dumb on our part. I really don’t understand. I mean, I am not a smart man. I’m not college educated. There’s a lot of things that I frankly don’t know. But in this area… even being fairly ignorant on my own, I looked at some of that and said, why are we doing this?
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, no, it is a great question, and we should all be questioning that. I mean, look, we’ve allowed the manufacturing of cheap products to flood our country and flood the rest of the world, but there’s a price to pay for that because they’ve got very good at manufacturing everything that we rely on, and that’s why they kind of moved on the rare earth elements. So, you know, we do need to start taking back our production. I know the president is focused on that. But we need to take it very seriously. And also everything that our private companies are doing is not in China. Private companies, universities, everyone has to share their information with the government. You know, of course, I don’t know if we want to see that here, but that’s another way that they’re gaining a foothold.
SPEAKER 11 :
No, it is, and you’re right. I mean, they are – people forget. Sometimes I think, Chris, Western civilization thinks for a moment that China is just like us and that things run exactly the same way. It’s nothing, nothing, Chris, could be farther from the truth. It is all state, literally, maybe not owned, but man alive, I think you’d even go as far as to say owned and operated because the reality is try to take that company elsewhere. Try to even take the money out of that company elsewhere, Chris. Good luck.

Good luck. You’ll suddenly find yourself being taken.
SPEAKER 11 :
That’s right. I mean, so, you know, you might they might have a a this falsehood that some, you know, Chinese entrepreneur owns said company. But at the end of the day, Chris, no, they don’t.
SPEAKER 05 :
No, you’re right. It’s the same thing. We’ve seen the same thing in Russia. It’s like, God forbid, you started a successful company. You end up in jail very quickly.
SPEAKER 11 :
Right.
SPEAKER 05 :
You know, we don’t want their system. But, you know, I think. Another problem is that we are based on, you know, this country was built on religion, you know, whatever anyone says. That’s right. You know, that’s right. You have inherent moral value. That’s right.
SPEAKER 11 :
Absolutely.
SPEAKER 05 :
In China. Yeah, it’s different. I mean, they have Confucius Confucius ism. Right. But, you know, the morals tend to be guided by whatever the CCP wants. That’s right.
SPEAKER 11 :
That’s right. No, you’re spot on. You and I, again, we speak the same language. I enjoy having you on because we feel the same way about some of this. Now, I’m also one, and I talked about this at the end of last hour, promoing what you and I were going to talk about. But I’m also one when it comes to AI that we cannot just bury our head in the sand. We can’t just say, oh, woe is me. It’s the devil. It’s the beast. It’s this. It’s that. Stay away from it. I’m of the opposite view. On that end, Chris, I feel like if we don’t stay involved with this and put the right parameters around it and learn about it and know what’s there, the Chinese will take a hold and it will become the Antichrist in the end.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, look, I mean, I don’t think we should ever be in a situation where we’re giving total autonomy to weapons run by A.I. or super A.I., because, look, they can turn on us just as quickly as they can go rogue in the field.
SPEAKER 11 :
Correct.
SPEAKER 05 :
You know, there have to be some kind of moral guidelines, and if there aren’t, God help us all.
SPEAKER 11 :
No, and I agree with that wholeheartedly. Now, one other thing, too, that I love talking about is just, you know, your company, Sat123, we talked about this last time you were on, but for those folks that are out there that they’re thinking, you know, what if everything does go awry? I’ve got a preparedness show I do on Fridays from 2 to 3 called Ready Radio, where I’ll get you on that program at some point, because you fit right into what we talk about there, but There’s a lot of folks out there listening whereby they’re thinking, okay, if there’s some sort of a, you know, quote unquote, natural disaster, end of the world scenario, something along those lines, you know, how am I going to communicate with my loved ones? How am I going to make things still function? That’s where you come into play.

That’s right. And look, I’m right here in Denver as well. And, you know, anyone who lives here knows that if you go up the mountains, you get a few hundred yards off the road, you can suddenly be without self.

That’s right.

I mean, I’m a big one on making sure that you’re prepared all the time, no matter what, It could be a weather-related event. It could be some, you know, an end-of-the-world type scenario. You know, we’ve seen a lot of solar activity of late, Chris, which, as you know, can also affect things communication-wise and so on. You know, one of the highest, what is it, G5 storms that we just went through. That’s why you can see the northern lights all the way down here in Colorado. I don’t know if everybody else saw that last week, but I was able to even take pictures of it, Chris. And frankly, that’s the first time in my entire life I’ve ever seen that.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, and the name of the event escapes me, but I think it was the 1880s, 1890s when similar solar storm took out the telegraph network across the U.S. That’s right.
SPEAKER 11 :
There was a big CME that actually took out the telegraph network. That’s exactly right, Chris.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, and back then we didn’t all have circuit boards and everything. They were very uncommon. But if a similar event happened today, it would be… Oh, my word, Chris.
SPEAKER 11 :
Well, we’ve seen even, you know, think about when people have either power outage or even just an Internet outage, how it really brings things to a crawl. If you had power outage, you’d have both of those. But just think if both of those went out at the same time, how devastating that would be.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, no, look, we all completely rely on it, you know, for everything. So without the power, without data, without connectivity, I mean… You know, what do we do? You know, we rely on it for everything. And so, you know, that is a big problem. You know, we’ve got too many eggs in too few baskets.
SPEAKER 11 :
Question I have for you before I let you go. And this, again, we could do this on a Friday in the future as well. But when it comes to satellite phones and some sort of a large, you know, either a CME event or even a EMP that would go off, you know, up in the atmosphere, how does that affect satellite communication if that were to happen?
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, look, I mean, I’m not going to sit here and pretend the satellites aren’t vulnerable. They are. But when you’re looking at the Iridium network, which is the biggest satellite phone network and the oldest, the original, in fact, I mean, they’ve got nearly 70 satellites up there. So, you know, they have redundancy. But here on the ground, I mean, a Faraday bag is where you’ve got to keep your equipment. I mean, that should be standard for everyone. Of course, we have those.

It might be volunteering. It might be going on mission trips. It might be tutoring children, things of that nature.

What are some ways that people can prepare for that, Al? How do people get ready for that retirement when they’re earlier on before they approach that?
SPEAKER 12 :
Well, I think what people need to do is think in terms of what they really enjoy doing. A gentleman I had on my show a week or so ago has been heavily involved in Gideon’s International, where he gives away Bibles to not only hotels, which is what they’re thought of, but also to high school students and so forth. So by getting involved in these things before retirement, it is a smooth transition then going into retirement. because then you can devote more time to what it is you love.

This is Rush to Reason on KLZ 560. All right. To back up what I was just talking about with Chris, there was an article that was actually put out on the 14th. This was in Fox Business News or Fox Business, I should say, dot com. Chinese hackers weaponize anthropics AI in first autonomous cyber attack targeting global organizations. I think there was about 30 organizations that they had been able to infiltrate. So when Chris, we were talking a moment ago, talking about the war, the AI war between us and China. Yeah. That’s real. And, by the way, I think Donald Trump understands this fully, even though I don’t think he’s a huge tech guy. I think he understands enough about these things and how they’re working, and it’s why he’s been so strong, even tariff-wise and so on, on China. And, again, there’ll be a Supreme Court ruling here before long concerning tariffs and so on. And if our Supreme Court were smart and they were reading these sorts of things, which I hope they are, at least being advised on these things – they would come back and understand that what Trump’s been doing tariff-wise has a lot to do with national security, and it does. Now, how are they going to read it? Probably not the way that I am. But I, and Andy both, I see it that way. We had an argument last week with Jordan Goodman on this because Jordan, of course, Jordan’s more on the left, and he doesn’t look at it the way that I’m looking at it. But I look at the tariffs as being very strategic in our national defense. I’m not sure how the Supreme Court’s going to look at it. I hope they look at it the same way I do. Not sure yet, but we’ll see. Point being… We are definitely, back to Chris, our last guest’s comments, we are definitely at war when it comes to the whole AI end of things, the advancement of what China wants to do in regards to using it against us, and so on. I follow a couple of people on social media, and I know you guys are going to think I’m weird, but you do anyways, because I am. In this particular case, this one particular person that I follow has sort of made it his mission. I don’t know what he does for a living and if he actually works for somebody that’s in this world or not, but I watch video after video where he literally has conversations through the speakers on his computer. He records all of this, but he literally has conversations with Some of the AI, bot is not the right word, some of the AI computers, literally he’s talking to a computer, but you wouldn’t know they were a computer by the way they talk. But he literally has conversations, and what he’s doing in these conversations is trying to figure out exactly how far this particular AI will go. In other words, what do they think of themselves? Do they think in rational terms, or is it strictly just, you know, is it just simply ones and zeros? Or do they really have a thought process going on inside of this particular machine that he’s talking to? And he’s kind of made it his goal to really bring out some of the dangers i guess you could say of what some of these people think what they do how they interact with humans and so on and it’s extremely interesting every time i watch one of them and these are videos that are probably four and a half to five minutes long that this particular person will put up and just watching the interaction that this particular in this case gentleman has with a computer and he does it in several different Their voices are in several voices, one female, one couple of different male voices. And the way he interacts and the questions that he asks, and given that he’s a tech person, we’ll even get into some of the tech questions as to what’s your capabilities in XYZ or repeat after me. And he’ll do some string of… you know, like code, if you would, as to the language that they’re in and so on. And it’s just absolutely, I know you got to be a geek to kind of follow what he’s doing, but it’s fascinating, at least for me, for him to determine how far in this particular situation will they let AI go. And this isn’t American technology that he’s testing, it’s Chinese technology. And it is out there. And for some of you that don’t know anything about what I’m talking about, this is far from chat GPT. Let’s just say that. It’s mind-blowing some of the things, some of the conversations that he and this machine, it’s not a robot, it’s an actual machine. And keep in mind, it’s not one machine. It’s probably an entire server farm that’s the machine. And I’m not exaggerating when I say that. It’s an interface that he’s talking to, but behind it are hundreds, if not thousands, of computers that are doing the actual learning, processing, and so on. And I’m not exaggerating when I say that. It’s huge. Some of you that are listening have more technical ability than even I in this understanding, I should say, than I do. But it’s fascinating. Point being, yes, we are at war. This particular person that I follow is literally, in a way, fighting that battle daily, exposing what these machines actually do know and how far they’ll go to get what they want. And I mean, he has like conversations I’m having with you right now, he has with a computer. And he’ll ask it all sorts of things that you wouldn’t even think of asking, all so he could determine how far will they let this machine go. And it’s wild. And it gives you kind of a new respect for people like him and what he’s doing and what he’s trying to expose. And again, I don’t know if he’s working for somebody when he does this or he’s just doing this on his own to try to expose these. What’s interesting is some of the platforms that he’s on, knowing it’s controlled by the Chinese, and yet they’re allowing him to expose what some of this is. That by itself is also mind boggling. But again, I go back to Chris, our last guest. I would encourage you, learn as much about this as you can. If you’re not using AI, use it. Some of you say, what would I use it for? Anything. Anything. You name it. You can use it. Well, in fact, what I’m doing anymore is I don’t hardly Google anything anymore. I just ask ChatGPT. I want to know X, Y, Z, or I want to know the stats on X, Y, Z, or I need to know this or that. I don’t Google hardly anything anymore. I use ChatGPT. And here’s why. I don’t get any of the stupid ads. I don’t have to funnel through 15 different ads that pop up telling me about this, that, and the other. No, I just get the answer I’m looking for. In fact, it’ll go as far as to, you know, want to format it in a particular way. In my case, you know, it knows I’m a talk show host. You know, do you want this formatted for your show? Blah, blah, blah. It learns enough about who you are that it will actually ask you those questions. And I’m not exaggerating in what I’m saying. You know, I’ll ask it whatever. Well, today I did an episode on, and you’ll hear this on Drive Radio, The Extra Mile. Had a nice conversations with the guys up at Brighton Auto Body talking about insurance and steering and all the different things that are involved with a collision. And I actually got that conversation started by asking, you know, Chad GBT about certain things. And it even came back with here’s some different myths and steering is illegal. And by the way, it was spot on. There was anything that it came back with that isn’t correct. Which I was actually shocked at because you darn darn good and well, the insurance company is wanting to steer, quote unquote, even that conversation to be in their favor. And this one wasn’t. It was very much spot on in everything we talked about from the reality of where things are and how things actually are supposed to work. I was actually surprised that it had everything it had in it. And again, when I was done, it said, would you like me to format this for your show? It’s amazing that it knows now what I do. And if I ask certain questions, it’ll even ask me at the end, do I want to put this into my show notes? Now, in most cases, it’s a no because I’ve already got my day formatted and handled. But in this particular case, I took some of what it gave me as some of the talking points we had for the extra mile because there was a couple of myths that it came up with that I didn’t even know. It’s smart, folks, and one thing I encourage people when it comes to AI, it learns every moment. So what you may have asked it even a month ago could very well be different today because it’s constantly learning. Point being, as conservatives and as Christians, we should be using it so we know more about it so that it doesn’t blindside us. And we as a group have been blindsided far too often throughout the course of history because we just sort of poo-pooed whatever that thing was. And it came back to bite us. Shame on us. Okay, you heard Bob Duke at the top of the hour talking about the whole, you know, Epstein probe and the releasing of this and that and so on. And I agree with Bob, by the way. I think that he’s got a pretty good take on things. I do think that Donald Trump for a while was trying to potentially even, you know, save face with a lot of individuals, right and left. By not releasing some of these things, maybe that’s the way to say it. And I think he was trying to be nice, maybe is the best way to say that. Not anymore. Gloves are off. He is like, you know what? Number one, I didn’t have anything to do with this. Like a lot of the folks on the left are going to say that I did. And I agree with Bob on this. And I’ve said this many, many times. If the left over all these years, which keep in mind, they had control of these files for what, Charlie, the last 10 years, roughly decade. If Donald Trump had been in there to any significant – on any significant way or any significant amount, you’d know about it. And they would have used it against him. Yeah, yeah. Thank you, Charlie. Hillary would have used it. And then Kamala and then Biden. I mean, let’s face it. The left in general would have used it. So rest assured, this is a no-brainer for Donald Trump. It’s a non-issue for him. Now – The left is going to tell you that, oh, yeah, he did this, he did that. I’ve already seen a lot of the comments online and so on, and the reality is not true. In fact, this is in Fox News, House Republicans say Dems are twisting the Epstein probe to smear Trump in a new memo. In fact, the House is expected to vote on forcing the DOJ, as I said a moment ago, to release some of these things and so on. At the end of the day— Our side knows that this is just a smear campaign from the left, and I think what they’re going to do is say, okay, you know what? You want this stuff released? Here you go. You’re going to find this isn’t going to end well. So they’re going to release it. I’ve said this before, and I’ll keep saying it. I honestly don’t care one way or the other. To me, this is such old news. And I know some of you look at this completely different than I do, but this is such old news and so long ago. I’m sorry. Who cares? Literally, who cares? Anybody involved in this, in some cases, they’re either dead or old. One of the two. Including, by the way, some of the young girls that were involved in this. They’re not young anymore. So, you know, do people get a pass? I guess we’ll find out exactly what’s in all this stuff and go from there. I have no idea. I, again, think there’s other things we could be focused on, and I’ve said that many, many times, but… Here we go. Some of you are going to get what you want. I don’t think it’s going to end the way that some of you are hoping. I’ll say that straight up. I think some of you are thinking this is going to really drag a bunch of people through the mud and end some careers. I don’t think so. I’m sorry. It may be a few people, but not many. Not many. So we’ll see. Fox News obtained a 10-page internal memo written by GOP committee staff for lawmakers on the panel that argued Democrats intentionally misrepresented information obtained by the Republicans to create a narrative that just wasn’t there. So bottom line, Trump has no problem here. And I agree with what Bob said earlier. That’s why I haven’t talked much about it, because I don’t care. I’ve read some of the headlines. At the end of the day, this is a nothing burger for Trump. Now, it’s not a nothing burger for others, and there’s going to be a lot of others, I think, out there that have probably pushed for this that are going to wish they hadn’t. We’ll see. Again, I don’t know exactly how this is going to end. You never do when it comes to politics, but I’m not worried about Donald Trump. Now, the other thing I read over the weekend was there’s a lot of folks that are upset with Donald Trump and don’t think that he’s even MAGA anymore because of him going after the likes of Thomas Massey and Marjorie Taylor Greene, both of which are knuckleheads. Marjorie Taylor Greene, especially. You’ve heard Andy and I both talk about MTG and she just needs to go bye bye. I’m with Trump on that one. She’s a loony tune. She is a whack-a-doodle. So, frankly, I’m with Trump on that one, and he’s no less MAGA to me than he was before because of that. Now, for some of you, he’s less MAGA because he’s going after, quote-unquote, his own. No, he’s not. He’s going after the nutjobs that need to go in the party, that are going to do nothing but drag the party down. So, I’m all for it. Get rid of the knuckleheads. And if the left were smart, by the way, they would have done the same. But they’re too much or they’re too ingrained and they’re being led by those knuckleheads, the AOCs, Bernies and so on. You know, the far radical Marxist left are running that party now. And it shows. And unfortunately for them, they they they didn’t clean house and they should have. The left would be in much better shape today had they done that, but they won’t. So in our case, we need to do some housecleaning as well. We have some knuckleheads on our side of the aisle that need to go bye-bye. They’re not helping the party. We have some of those in Colorado. They’re not helping the party. They’re not helping us move the football forward. They’re actually making it worse. They’re throwing interceptions and fumbling all day long. And yet they still want to be in charge. And no, I’m not talking about the current GOP leadership here in Colorado. I’m talking about some of those that are behind the scenes that are just disruptors that are mad they’re not in power. What’s funny inside the Colorado GOP, and I’ll talk about this a little bit tomorrow, the same people that accused the anti-Davidians of calling meetings and so on to get rid of Dave Williams are now doing the exact same thing. Exact same thing. It’s a mirror image. So the same people that were saying, you can’t do this, this is illegal, this isn’t correct, you can’t do a meeting this way, the exact same people are doing the exact same thing, only they’re on the other side of the aisle now. It’s ironic, actually. It’s actually comical. The same knuckleheads, and some of you are listening, but the same knuckleheads that were against having a special meeting against Dave Williams are calling the exact same meeting against Britta Horne. It’s identical. It’s so funny, it’s ridiculous. Because you’re a hypocrite. You guys that are anti-Britta, I don’t know what you call yourself, but you’re wackadoodles. Literally, you’re a bunch of wackadoos. The rhino watch of the party, which I talk about constantly, you’re just nuts. And again, as I said last week with Andy, I never hear from any of you because you know you can’t win. So you just don’t comment. You don’t send anything in. You don’t text in. You don’t call in because you don’t have a leg to stand on. And you know that, so you don’t. So anyway, it’s very interesting on that end of things that the exact same people that complained about one side doing what they did last year is actually doing the exact same thing. All right. All right, it’s not Rage Radio until it comes to this. Because this is like, and this is why Charlie sent it to me, because he knows how bothered I get by this. So you guys all know I don’t fly like a lot of business flyers do. But, you know, I go enough places throughout the year where I fly to a certain extent. You know, just went to Vegas, you know, two weeks ago for the SEMA show. And, you know, I do different things and I don’t drive. Sorry, I’m not driving. Now, a lot of people, they love road trips and driving. Yeah, not me. I drive enough every single day coming to and from here six days a week that when it comes to doing any kind of trip, I don’t want to drive. frankly, don’t really have the time either. You know, even that example of going to Las Vegas. I know most people could drive that in a day down, day back. Yeah, I’m not doing that. Sorry. Just, I don’t want to. And some of you think I’m crazy for that. Others of you probably agree with me on that, but yeah, I’m not driving. Don’t even, I’m not going there. And I love driving. I love cars and all that, but I’m not driving. So I fly. Now, One of my pet peeves in flying, and you guys all know this, is the amount of pre-boarders that get on the plane before everybody else. Now, that’s not a problem with most of the… Airlines that have assigned seating, but when you fly Southwest, who doesn’t do assigned seating, it’s an irritant, especially to people like me where I’ve earned status and I get on the plane first. I’m usually typically, not always, but I’m typically in the first, you know, A1 through 20 typically. Sometimes I’m a little higher than that, but not often. I’m usually like number 16 or 17. And no, I don’t buy the 1 through 15. I could, and you get the reimbursements, but typically I’m fine with where I want to be there. Not a big deal for me. And I’m usually in that particular section. And I’ve earned that. Through flying, credit card purchases, et cetera, I’ve earned that. Where it really gets to be an irritant is when you get ready to do that and there’s literally, and I’m not exaggerating, I have counted at times as many as 25 people that are getting on because they have some sort of a quote-unquote ailment. Now, some of them are in wheelchairs, not everybody. Some just get on to get on. And there’s no standards as to, you know, you don’t have to provide a note or anything along those lines from a doctor. You can just say that, hey, I need extra help, and they allow you. Done. And more and more people have learned this, and so they do that. And they don’t have to earn any status to get on the airplane first. They just get on. I firmly believe part of why Southwest on January the 21st, I believe it is, is going to full assign seating is because of what I just said. They know of no other way to cure it. And by the way, they’re going to kill, in my opinion, one of the best programs ever, which is open seating, which I love. They’re going to kill that because of the abuse of pre-boarders. And it is what it is. I can’t change that. You can’t change it. It just is what it is. A lot of people, by the way, complaining that Southwest is doing that, and yet they’re the same people that are probably abusing the abusive pre-borders. And the reason they’re mad is because they’re going to lose that. They’re not getting that anymore. If you don’t have an upfront seat, you’re not going to sit up front, just like all the other airlines are. You’re going to be wherever your seat assignment, whatever ticket you paid for is where you’re going to be. Now— Charlie sent me an article came out yesterday. Southwest ends its wheelchair boarding advantage January 26. But the airport VIP line skipping hack isn’t going away. So in the US, no airline accommodates more wheelchair passengers than Southwest. If you’re in a wheelchair, you board first. And the earlier your board, the more seats you get to choose from wheelchair passengers just aren’t supposed to sit in an exit row. Most of these people require assistance boarding. And I’ve seen this for myself. But they walk off on their own at the end of the flight. I call it Jetway Jesus because the jetway cures them. So Jetway Jesus, I picked that up from one of you listeners, by the way, that texted me. Jetway Jesus clears, you know, heals them, I should say, as they’re getting on the plane, evidently, because when they get off, man, they’re healed. It’s a miracle. I mean, I do believe in miracles because I see it every time I fly. And I’m not joking. I do, literally. I watch them. You know, they’ll get on and they’re limping or they’re doing this and, you know, they can barely, you know, they’ve got the walker or the cane, in some cases a wheelchair, and yet coming off they don’t. And man alive, they are zipping off that thing heading to wherever they’re heading faster than anybody else. There’s actually some X posts along these lines. You know, seriously, at Southwest Air, there’s more than 25 pre-boarders on my last Las Vegas to, I don’t know what AUS is. Sorry, I don’t know airport codes like my wife does. Just because you get a C on your boarding group shouldn’t mean you get to cut the line. Well, they do. Happens all the time. So it’s going to end on January 26th. Sorry, I said 21st. 26th with assigned seating. Southwest isn’t the only airline with a wheelchair problem, and seat choice isn’t the only reason people request assistance that they need. They’re up to 120 wheelchair requests per international flight on Air India. 90 wheelchairs are common.

Can you imagine going to Air India, ready to get on the plane, and there’s 90 people in a wheelchair in front of you? Which, by the way, it’s the slowest process ever getting them on the airplane. And I’m not trying to be derogatory towards people that really do need a wheelchair. I had some family members at one time that actually did need them. So, and you know what, I get it. If you really need one, that’s fine. But when you use it and you don’t, because you just want to cut the line, sorry, that’s a problem for me. So, there are lots of passengers in other areas where you think Southwest is bad. It’s really bad in other areas. And this is a big pet peeve of mine. Now, when you get assigned seating, it won’t be, I guess, as big of a deal for me, especially with Southwest, because if they pre-board but they’re in row 40, knock your socks off. Get on first and go to row 40. Again, where it’s an issue now with Southwest is because when you get on first, you get the best seats. And currently, because they’re reconfiguring their planes for this change on the 26th of January, if you get on early now and you get in the first, I think it is about eight rows or so, you get really premium seating with lots of legroom. It’s not first class, but you get a lot more legroom. And some of you are asking probably, well, you know, why do you fly Southwest? Because up to this point, they’ve been one of the cheaper airlines to actually fly, and I like them. And when it comes to liking somebody, I’ll keep flying them. So we’ll see how this all works. In fact, it even in this article uses the term JetBridge Jesus. So I’m not the only one that uses it. It’s actually in this article. So we’ll see what happens with JetBrid Jesus when it’s all said and done. And I’m not trying to make fun of Jesus, but I think even he would be irritated by this waiting in line for wheelchairs where they shouldn’t be. And folks, believe me, I have watched people. I literally have watched people scam. I’ve watched people in a wheelchair. And this is not a joke. I’ve watched him in a wheelchair. When the attendant person’s not around, get up, take something over to the trash can that in some cases might be 30 or 40 steps away, come back, sit back down in the wheelchair so they can get on the airplane. Now, sorry, if they can walk to the trash can and back, they can walk down the jet bridge. But they don’t because they get on first if they’re in a wheelchair being pushed by somebody else. It’s an abuse. It’s much like the service animal thing that was abused for so long, where if you wanted to travel with your pet for free, you just put a service animal jacket on it and it flew for free. Well, they finally got savvy. The airlines, after so much of that went on, finally said, yeah, we’re getting gamed. We can’t do this anymore. Now, in that one, they started requiring full proof that you actually did, in fact, have a service animal. The problem with the FAA, and hopefully under Trump this might get fixed, There’s no set standard as to what you have to provide at the check-in time to actually prove that you need that assistance. In other words, you can just say, I get anxiety. I need to get on first. and they’ll let you in first. It’s really that simple. All right, I’ll take a break. We’ll come right back. Somebody else said a minute ago that AUS is Austin. So, yeah, I don’t memorize airport codes. No offense. I got too many other things in my brain already that I don’t bother with that. My wife is the expert in our family on that, knows all the codes. I don’t, nor do I need to. She handles that. But thank you. I appreciate that very much. All right. Closing things out today. And some of you probably wonder at times, you know, why do I talk so much about, you know, the economy and the Fed and what they’re doing with interest rates and so on? Well, and Andy and I talk about this a lot, so let me explain. Because it’s the economy, stupid. And that’s a lot of what people do when they vote. You just saw that happen in our last election. A lot of the polling in the last election as to why certain cities in certain votes in certain areas went even bluer than what they were is because the economy. They don’t think the economy is doing well enough. Now, You’ve heard Andy and I say this, and I’ll say this straight up. That’s Jerome Powell’s fault. And he’s proud of that, by the way. He doesn’t want the economy doing any better than it already is. In fact, it’s doing well in spite of him. It could be doing a lot. It could be taken off like a rocket if you’d get him on the same team. But he’s not because he hates Donald Trump. I’ve been watching the Fed and its moves and so on for a long time. You know, throughout several different presidents, presidencies, and I don’t know that I can name a time whereby the Fed chair had this much animosity towards the president than now. And I sincerely mean that. Jerome Powell has utter disdain for Donald Trump, and it shows in the way that he’s handled the Fed. So there’s an article out in Wall Street Journal today that the Fed vice chair says that the economic tradeoffs justify lowering rates slowly. In other words, he’s on board with lowering rates. Even though Jerome Powell, and he’s the biggest reason why they haven’t been lowered more, even though he doesn’t want them lowered, there’s other people out there saying, yep, we need to do this. And I am not wrong. When I say that Jerome Powell is very politically motivated because he knows that if Donald Trump has a really good soaring economy, we win in 2026 in the midterms. And you’ll see things change there that you wouldn’t likely see in a midterm. So Jerome Powell knows this. And Jerome Powell is a dyed-in-the-wool Marxist Democrat. Trust me when I say that. As much as some of you I know maybe don’t believe me when I say that, he is. And in turn, he will at every single, anytime he can, he’s going to go against Donald Trump.

And he continues to prove that over and over and over again. Now, again, as I said a moment ago, some of you are saying, why do you care, John? Well, A, I care because the economy affects a lot of people. And the better it’s working, the better it is for everybody else. Small business owners, employees of those small businesses, on down the line we go. The better things are working economically, the better it is for everybody, you included, myself included. The station, the advertisers and so on, the better things are, the better we all are at the end of the day, the more money we all make. And the more we can help give and donate and lift those others that are out there that need real assistance up and, and, and we go. And that’s where it’s so frustrating when you get somebody like our current Fed chair that basically says, yeah, I don’t want to see the economy do well. And by the way, Jerome Powell doesn’t care about anybody other than himself and his party. Which also continues to show, those of you that are on the left that listen to me, shows you that your party really doesn’t care about the people it claims to. Oh, I’m a Democrat because, you know, it’s the party for the little guy. It’s the party for, you know, those that are in need. It’s the party for the disenfranchised and, and, and we go. No, it’s not. And what I’m telling you right now proves it. If it really was the party for those that are less fortunate, Jerome Powell would have lowered interest rates long ago. Long ago. Jerome Powell isn’t and won’t because his party isn’t who they say they are. And I can prove this over and over and over again. It’s not complicated. What’s really frustrating is when you get individuals from the left that think, you know, Trump is just bad and this, that and the other. And I can’t stand the guy. And why would anybody do this or why would anybody like him or why would anybody vote for him? And yet I can come back at him and say, well, you know, as far as the economy is concerned, that has a lot to do with your own pal. And they’ll look at you with this deer in the headlight look like, what are you talking about? And I can go through and explain to them everything I’m explaining to you guys right now, and they still have a deer in the headlight look, which I just don’t understand. It’s like, okay, this isn’t that complicated. Even what you’re going through with your cost of groceries and so on has more to do with your own pal than Donald Trump. Yet your side won’t admit to that. And, folks, I think sometimes it is ignorance. Some people are just financially illiterate. They don’t understand basic principles of supply and demand and insurance rates and what the Fed does and how that can affect long-term rates and so on. They don’t know that. And I’ll give them maybe a little bit of grace because we don’t teach financial literacy like we once did. Heck, we don’t even teach math like we once did, nonetheless being financially literate. And just because you’re good at math, by the way, doesn’t mean you’re financially literate. you can be really, really good at math and still not understand basic finances. And that’s what the left counts on, by the way. It’s purposely done this in the school system. I’ve said this for years. It’s purposely made people illiterate in finances and math. That’s how you can get to be $39 trillion in debt. Because nobody even understands what that number is or how big that number is. So trust me when I say that Jerome Powell is definitely on the left. He’s definitely a Marxist. He’s definitely in bed with his own party. And he hates Donald Trump. And he does exactly the opposite of what his party claims to do, which is reach out to those that are disenfranchised and need help, and, and, and. Because if he really cared about people, he would lower rates and get the economy booming again. But the bottom line is, he doesn’t. So we’ll talk more about that, Andy and I will, tomorrow, of course. And it’s one of those topics that I’ll continue to talk about because it’s very important.
