Hour three of Rush to Reason covers a wide range of topics—from a quick dive into leap years and Einstein’s energy equation to a sharp political breakdown of current events. John Rush and Jersey Joe discuss everything from fusion energy to viral political clips, including a heated exchange involving Lee Zeldin and Rosa DeLauro.
The conversation shifts into public perception, highlighting polling data on conspiracy beliefs and what it says about voter mindset. They also examine government accountability issues, including questionable SNAP benefit usage tied to luxury assets.
To close the hour, John delivers a direct and unfiltered take on Colorado
SPEAKER 08 :
This is Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 11 :
You are going to shut your damn yapper and listen for a change because I got you pegged, sweetheart. You want to take the easy way out because you’re scared. And you’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only you to blame. Let me break this down for you. Life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes.
SPEAKER 08 :
With your host, John Rush.
SPEAKER 11 :
My advice to you is to do what your parents did. Get a job first.
SPEAKER 03 :
You haven’t made everybody equal. You’ve made them the same, and there’s a big difference.
SPEAKER 16 :
Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
SPEAKER 12 :
Are you crazy? Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s Rush to Reason with your host, John Rush, presented by Cub Creek Heating and Air Conditioning.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, we are back. Hour number three, Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Jersey Joe joining us now. Joe, what’s up?
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, John, I got a bunch of stuff. You want to start with light stuff and maybe a little science? Sure, we can do that. All right. Do you know why we have to have a leap year every four years?
SPEAKER 06 :
It has to do with the rotation of the Earth, correct? Right, because it’s not exactly the same every single year, so we have to add that day in every fourth year.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, actually, the rotation of the Earth is pretty much within just a few seconds. But it’s not accurate according to the calendar, right? Well, the Earth, instead of 24 hours, it takes the Earth 23 hours and 56 minutes. So we’re four minutes shy. Right. On a daily basis, right? Right. We’re four minutes shy on a daily basis. So, you know, after four years of losing four minutes, then you have to catch up, and that’s what you have to do the leap year.
SPEAKER 06 :
Otherwise, we’d be off as time goes by, right?
SPEAKER 10 :
Yes. I’m sorry, say that again?
SPEAKER 06 :
Otherwise, we would be off as time goes by, and it just gets, you know, it just continues to, you know, how do you want to say, just stacks on top of one another as time goes by.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, we’d be having Christmas in what we now consider to be July, because you’re going to lose a day every four years, so after… you know, after 100 years, you’ve lost 25 days. Right. And after 500 years, you know, you’ve lost almost six months.
SPEAKER 06 :
It just keeps rolling, yeah. Gotcha.
SPEAKER 10 :
Now, John, Einstein’s famous equation, E equals mc squared, that says energy is equal to mass times the speed of light squared. In other words, if you can convert mass into energy, the amount of energy you will get out of converting mass into energy, which is what happens in a atomic reaction, you smash two big chunks of uranium together, and they undergo a fission reaction, and the residual mass is slightly less than the two chunks. Well, let me tell you, you want to guess how much mass was converted to energy in the bomb that was dropped on Hiroshima?
SPEAKER 06 :
I looked that up one day. I don’t remember, Joe.
SPEAKER 10 :
It was a half a gram, which is the weight of a butterfly.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 10 :
So converting just enough uranium, half a gram, which is the weight of a butterfly, unleashed enough energy to just destroy.
SPEAKER 06 :
That is mind-boggling, at least for me, Joe, it is. Even as a kid, studying some of that and learning about that and so on, I mean, to me, it’s just, I can’t hardly wrap my brain around that. It’s mind-boggling.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, the amount, and that’s why, of course, now we’re looking, of course, that was a fission reaction where we split atoms. The next big thing is fusion, and you can also lose mass. Fission takes place when you combine heavy elements like uranium. On the other end, when you take hydrogen and you can combine two hydrogens to form a helium, the resulting helium actually weighs less than the sum of the hydrogens, so there’s also a loss of mass there, and that’s why fusion reaction is considered to be the next big thing in terms of clean power. clean, unlimitless power where you can fuse hydrogen atoms into helium to get clean, free energy.
SPEAKER 06 :
I mean, really quick, Joe, just as a side note, too, it’s always been fascinating to me that the brainiacs that came up with that.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, just the concept, so simple. The amount of E equals mc squared, the amount of energy you get from converting mass to energy is the amount of mass times the speed of light. And the speed of light squared, John, is 186,000 miles per second, and you square that It’s a mind boggling number. And again, that’s why the amount of uranium that was converted equal to the weight of a butterfly converted to energy was enough to just completely wipe.
SPEAKER 06 :
Amazing. I mean, just amazing, Joe. Really is.
SPEAKER 10 :
All right. So that’s our kind of fun stuff. Quote of my quote of the week. Do you have a clip of Ilhan Omar reading from how world how about our world wars and how they’re racist?
SPEAKER 06 :
I do. Let me bring—this is an old clip, by the way.
SPEAKER 10 :
She’s a congresswoman, right? She’s a congresswoman, so she should be all over this stuff. She’s reading from her prayer speech.
SPEAKER 06 :
You would think. Here we go.
SPEAKER 02 :
The last time the Alien Enemies Act was invoked, it was used to detain and deport German, Japanese, Italian immigrants during World War XI.
SPEAKER 06 :
World War—she is from the Learing Center.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yes. World War XI.
SPEAKER 06 :
World War XI. Okay.
SPEAKER 10 :
Now— I’ve got another humorous one, and this is our friend Senator John Kennedy from Louisiana describing Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota. Do we have that one?
SPEAKER 06 :
I’ve got it. Here we go.
SPEAKER 12 :
Let me just say a couple things quickly, Sean. Number one, Governor Tim Walz, whatever he says, believe the opposite. I’m sorry, the man learned to lie before he learned to talk. He’s just a… I love that guy. I can’t help it, you crack me up. Well, he’s just a less masculine version of Hillary Clinton.
SPEAKER 06 :
Can I stop at that? That’s pretty good, by the way.
SPEAKER 10 :
It was.
SPEAKER 06 :
Very good.
SPEAKER 10 :
I got another great clip. I heard you talk about it the other night. I don’t know if you played it. Did you play the clip of Lee Zeldin?
SPEAKER 06 :
I did. I did. I played it, and again, there’s people that may have been listening, may have not been listening. I can play it again. It’s worth playing twice. It’s a good clip, Joe.
SPEAKER 10 :
And let me set this up. So we have Lee Zeldin, who’s the EPA administrator.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right. Smart guy, by the way.
SPEAKER 10 :
He’s in a—I’m sorry?
SPEAKER 06 :
Very smart guy, by the way.
SPEAKER 10 :
Right. And he’s in a budget appropriation meeting, and one of the— people on that committee is Congressman Lisa DeLauro.
SPEAKER 06 :
She’s the blue-haired Democrat that most people would recognize if they saw her on screen.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, she looks like a witch that got run over by a truck with blue hair.
SPEAKER 06 :
That’s right. Somebody spilled a bottle of blue ink on her head.
SPEAKER 10 :
Right. And what she’s upset about, there was a Supreme Court ruling that says, no, the EPA has no authority to regulate CO2. It is not a toxin. It is not dangerous. And she’s all upset that the EPA under Lee Zeldin is no longer trying to limit CO2 emissions. And he keeps referring her back to this Supreme Court decision. So that’s the setup for this exchange between Lee Zeldin and Congressman Laura DeLauro.
SPEAKER 05 :
Okay, here we go.
SPEAKER 17 :
Change is flooding our streets. Poisoning our air, driving up health care and disaster cuts. How can the EPA justify abandoning that duty to protect Americans, to appease polluters under the false flag of economic growth?
SPEAKER 03 :
Following the law, Section 202 of the Clean Air Act, where does it say anything about fighting global climate change? Loper Bright, Supreme Court case, you familiar with it?
SPEAKER 17 :
No, maybe others are. I’m not, but let me ask.
SPEAKER 03 :
But that’s really important. As a member of Congress, Loper Bright says that we as an agency don’t have the authority to get creative.
SPEAKER 17 :
If Section 202 of the Clean Air Act doesn’t… No, but you don’t have, excuse me, you do not have the right to say climate change does not exist, that it’s a hoax, and that’s where this administration is coming from.
SPEAKER 03 :
I understand you’re upset that you don’t know what Loper Bright is. Do you know what the major policies doctrine is? I’m upset because… Do you know what the major policies doctrine is? You’re a member of Congress. You should know.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, you have moved from someone who defended the environment to all of a sudden… I’m very defensive about not knowing the two biggest landmark Supreme Court cases of the last year with regards to your question. And you are very defensive about changing your policy and your positions with regard to the environment.
SPEAKER 03 :
Now, do just tell me… Do you want me to tell you what the two biggest Supreme Court cases are of the last few years?
SPEAKER 17 :
This is what I want you to tell me.
SPEAKER 03 :
Michigan versus EPA?
SPEAKER 17 :
Whoa!
SPEAKER 03 :
West Virginia versus EPA?
SPEAKER 17 :
You know, you’re here because you need money from us. So halt for the second and wait for the questions and answer the questions.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I answered your question. No, you didn’t. And you didn’t like my answer because you don’t know what Loperbright is, because you don’t know what the major policies doctrine is, because you’re asking me about Section 202 of the Clean Air Act, and you don’t read it. You don’t know what it says.
SPEAKER 17 :
Listen, and what you want to do is to deny… No, I actually read the law.
SPEAKER 03 :
I do my homework. Really? You’re just somebody who likes to have the microphone on. You know what I have to do? I read the law. I read the Supreme Court cases. No, what you do for your constituents is actually read statutes.
SPEAKER 17 :
This budget is at real risk.
SPEAKER 03 :
Read your Supreme Court.
SPEAKER 17 :
This is the Appropriations Committee.
SPEAKER 03 :
You care about science, now you’re threatening to defund it?
SPEAKER 17 :
Oh, my God. No, you don’t fund science.
SPEAKER 03 :
Because you don’t know what Loperbright is. You are climate deniers. Because you don’t know what the major policies doctrine is. You are climate deniers. Your message to our folks at the EPA is that you wanted to fund us.
SPEAKER 17 :
I don’t have to listen to this BS.
SPEAKER 03 :
BS? You think I made up these cases?
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, I think you have made up a whole lot of BS.
SPEAKER 03 :
I made up Loperbright. I made up West Virginia versus EPA. I made up Michigan versus EPA.
SPEAKER 17 :
Whoa is right. What are you doing? Why are you helping polluters? I have to say…
SPEAKER 03 :
Is that your question? I’d say if your cup was filled with glyphosate, I’m telling you as the administrator of EPA, don’t drink it.
SPEAKER 17 :
Thank you so much for agreeing to what we need to do.
SPEAKER 03 :
I don’t know what the question was. You’re holding up a cup saying glyphosate. Don’t drink it. Don’t inject it.
SPEAKER 17 :
Maybe you should try doing that.
SPEAKER 05 :
Oh, my word, Joe. I can’t listen anymore. She is as dumb as a rock.
SPEAKER 10 :
Can you imagine any Biden appointee going toe-to-toe with a member of Congress like that?
SPEAKER 06 :
They couldn’t, Joe. Well, and by the way, they wouldn’t have had to because they would be doing all the things she wants.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, they would have been doing the same thing. She’s saying, well, how can you not be fighting against climate change? He keeps telling her, Supreme Court said it’s not our job.
SPEAKER 06 :
Right. It’s outside the scope of this agency is basically what he’s saying. And he’s right.
SPEAKER 10 :
It’s 100% correct. He keeps citing all these different court cases, and she keeps demanding why is he not focusing his agency on fighting climate change.
SPEAKER 06 :
So… By the way, and I said this the other day, very smart individual, very wise choice. It has to be… And Joe, I know the president has to make all sorts of picks. I know he doesn’t pick each one of these individuals out on his own, although I do think there are some that he does. And I have to wonder, in this case, did he handpick Zeldin? Because he has to be one of the best picks he’s gotten so far.
SPEAKER 10 :
Absolutely. Couldn’t agree more, John. He’s just a great pick. So… And by the way, he’s got a new pick for the Surgeon General, which is really impressive. She’s a woman. She’s a radiologist, has been very heavily involved in cancer research, cancer prevention. So he named her this afternoon. But anyways, I think she should hopefully have no problem getting confirmed. But I want to move on to, John, you’ve said many times that liberals have a mental illness. The Manhattan Institute, very well respected survey organization, they did a poll which they published back in March and they interviewed 2,593 Democrats and or people who admitted they had voted for Kamala Harris in the previous year. So 2,600 Democrats and or Kamala Harris voters, liberals. So Here’s something striking. So they asked, one of the first questions was, does Russian President Vladimir Putin have compromising information on Donald Trump, and does he use it to sway Trump’s policy decisions? Do you know what percentage of that demographic said yes, definitely true, or probably true?
SPEAKER 06 :
I have no idea.
SPEAKER 1 :
64%.
SPEAKER 10 :
More than half think Vladimir Putin has something on Trump. Geez. Another, and this is startling too, the assassination attempt against Donald Trump in July 2024 was orchestrated by his supporters to increase sympathy for him. Now remember, this is an incident where he was shot, the bullet grazed his ear, a fireman in the stands was killed by the bullet, and the shooter himself was killed by authority. So two deaths. You know what percentage of Democrats or liberals… believe that would have, that was probably orchestrated by the White House to gain sympathy for Trump.
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, I have no idea what that number is either.
SPEAKER 10 :
Almost half, 40, 46% to this day. And those are the same people I mentioned the other day, believe that the White House correspondence dinner was staged by the White House.
SPEAKER 05 :
Amazing.
SPEAKER 10 :
And here’s, here we go. October 7th is the attack on Israel when Hamas came over and, and, uh, I believe, how many people was it, 1,700 people were killed that day?
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, again, that’s another one I don’t quote me on. I haven’t studied that one recently.
SPEAKER 10 :
But it was a greater, as a percentage of their population, it was a greater, much far greater than the loss of 9-11 in this country.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yes, absolutely.
SPEAKER 10 :
Twenty-five percent believe absolutely that it was an inside job staged by the Israeli government, as a pretext so they could launch a war on Gaza. 25% believe it’s true, another 27% aren’t sure.
SPEAKER 06 :
Wow. That’s almost half.
SPEAKER 10 :
Right. And now let’s move on to 9-11.
SPEAKER 06 :
That’s over half.
SPEAKER 10 :
Over half. And let’s move on to 9-11. Here’s the question. 9-11 terror attacks were carried out by additional actors beyond just al-Qaeda or other Muslim extremists, and it was likely orchestrated and or permitted by the U.S. government. John, 28% said definitely true or probably true, and another 14% are unsure.
SPEAKER 06 :
Mind-boggling.
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, and to this day, the Holocaust of Jews and Nazis was greatly exaggerated or did not happen.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, greatly exaggerated. In fact, that’s the very reason why Ike said, take as many pictures as possible so that never happens.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, and 12% of Democrats and liberals to this day believe that it never happened.
SPEAKER 06 :
Meaning, Joe, these are people that just don’t know history at all.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, or you’re living in a fantasy.
SPEAKER 06 :
Or a delusional, I guess, a delusional life. I mean, I don’t know how you say that, Joe. Basically, they are very much deniers of history. Let’s say it that way.
SPEAKER 10 :
Absolutely. So it’s just scary. And these are the people, and John, they all— And they vote.
SPEAKER 06 :
They vote and reproduce.
SPEAKER 10 :
They vote and reproduce. That’s the scary part. It really is. And that’s what we’re up against. Anyway, you just shake your head about what’s the future of the country look like if people like them gain control of all three branches of the government. It’s just so scary.
SPEAKER 06 :
I know. It really is.
SPEAKER 10 :
Let’s move on to fraud being uncovered. I sent you a clip of Brooke Rollins, the head of the USDA, and she’s talking about one unnamed state. And this is just one state where they matched food stamp recipients with automobile registrations. And here’s what she found.
SPEAKER 14 :
Previously, no data was shared. We had no idea where the taxpayer dollars were spent. Just one red state, the recent dump of data, we found SNAP recipients had more than 2,000 Tesla owners, 200 Alfa Romeo owners, more than 144 that were receiving food stamps were driving Porsches. Again, this is the data dumps we’re getting because before we had no accountability on any of these programs. We now are requiring accountability. The blue states are suing us. They don’t want to share the data. And can you imagine this was a red state where there is actually some taxpayer accountability? Imagine what’s happening in the blue states if that’s happening.
SPEAKER 06 :
Unbelievable, Joe.
SPEAKER 10 :
Right. And actually didn’t. Let me go down the complete list. In addition to those cars. Three of the recipients were driving Bentleys, which is, what, a $200,000 car? Yeah, roughly. Three were driving Ferraris. Eleven were driving Lamborghinis. 59 were driving Maseratis. And 306 were driving Land Rovers. And this is just one state.
SPEAKER 06 :
Think of going to 50 states and looking at what these numbers look like.
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, John.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s ridiculous. And what’s maddening is, you know, those of us that are net taxpayers, we’re paying for that.
SPEAKER 10 :
A hundred percent, John. A hundred percent.
SPEAKER 06 :
To me, that’s the maddening part, Joe. We’re net taxpayers and we’re paying for that.
SPEAKER 10 :
We are. Well, let’s hope that she and her staff continues to do the work. Now, the blue states are fighting her because they don’t want to release that information. Well, first they don’t because it’s going to be worse there. It’s going to be much worse there. Yeah. That was a red state that says, yes, we will open our motor vehicle records to you.
SPEAKER 06 :
And really quick, for some of you where you’re wondering, okay, wait a minute, hang out. Just because they’re on food stamps, that doesn’t give them the income level to drive these cars. No, Joe. There’s many other things that these individuals, they’re professionals. They know how to stack all of the government programs on top of one another. So they know how to do SNAP. They know how to do Section 8. I mean, I can just keep going down the list of things where they know how to get all the benefits at the end of the day. And by the way, how to keep income levels down enough and either do things on the side, cash, sell drugs, whatever. I mean, at the end of the day, Joe, they know the game and they play it very well.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, if you’re a drug dealer or you’re a pimp or whatever and you have no reportable income, you know, you’re probably driving a Ferrari or you’re probably driving a Porsche.
SPEAKER 06 :
And you’re on food stamps and you’re on other type of assistance and Section 8 and so on.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER 06 :
And by the way, you may not be living in Section 8, but somebody that you know probably is.
SPEAKER 10 :
Oh, yeah. You’re applying, and then they’re probably subletting that to somebody else.
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, thank you. And again, Joe, and I say this seriously, folks, these people are professionals at knowing how to game the system. And I get it, Joe. There are some legitimate people that really do need help. And unfortunately, it’s these clowns that ruin it for those folks.
SPEAKER 10 :
They really do. They absolutely really do. One more before we run out of time. Sergey Brin, who’s one of the founders of Google, he has just announced that he is now – He’s leaving. Yeah, well, he still worked there, but California is getting ready to impose this wealth tax where they want 5% of your wealth. And Sergey Brin is worth $220. billion dollars it fluctuates daily with the stock market right of course but that would be just in year one that would be 11 billion dollars that he would have to fork over to the state of california which he’s not going to do right and here’s his quote he said i i fled socialism with my family in 1979 and know the devastating oppressive society it created in the soviet union i don’t want california to end up in the same place brin said um And he’s just one of, you know, the long list of people moving to Texas and moving to Florida. We’ve talked about In-N-Out Burger moved to Nashville. Was it Peter Thiel and a couple other guys moved to Florida?
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, and Joe, you and I have talked about this before, and we’ve got a few minutes here. I mean, these are people that – and I know that the left knows this. You know, these people that put these things in, they’re not that ignorant. They’re not that dumb to not know that these things will happen. But they’re – I don’t know. I don’t I don’t get I don’t understand why they proceed doing these things, knowing what the ramifications are going to be. I mean, is it just, Joe, that they feel like there’s enough people out there that will still get caught with this? And there’s enough people to believe in their cause that they’ll go ahead and pay the taxes because the people like this are not going to do that. They’re going to they’re going to leave. They’re going to go other places.
SPEAKER 10 :
Zuckerberg met a Facebook. He just moved. That was last week. You know, he’s probably the third richest guy in California.
SPEAKER 06 :
Correct.
SPEAKER 10 :
He just changed his legal residence as well. So, I mean, would you leave? Would you change locations for $11 billion? Of course you would.
SPEAKER 06 :
Any sane person would, Joe. I don’t care what side of the political aisle you’re on. You’re not going to give that money up.
SPEAKER 10 :
Even if you had to hire a helicopter to fly you back and forth to your office every day.
SPEAKER 06 :
You could afford that for that. The part of me that I still don’t understand when it comes to folks like this is he’s part of the problem as to why it’s that way in the first place. I mean, he talks about escaping socialism and so on, but yet you’re part of the problem.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, particularly if you were backing people like Kamala Harris and backing people like Gavin Newsom.
SPEAKER 06 :
Which we know Google was.
SPEAKER 10 :
Absolutely, Google was.
SPEAKER 06 :
And that’s the part, Joe, that I really do have a hard time wrapping my head around. It’s these people that are for these type of individuals and the policies they create, but yet they’re the first ones to leave when they create a policy like this, or a law like this, I should say.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, they are. Oh, and by the way, in addition to himself personally, he either terminated or relocated 15 California-based LLCs, limited liability corporations, out of state, converting several to Nevada entities. So they’re also going to lose the corporate income tax revenue for those 15 LLCs that he owns.
SPEAKER 06 :
So it just continues to multiply is what you’re saying.
SPEAKER 10 :
Yeah, and snowball. So, you know, maybe somebody should send them a copy of The Goose That Laid the Golden Egg, because they are going way out of their way to kill the goose that laid the golden egg.
SPEAKER 06 :

SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, we are back. Rush to Reason, Debra’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Appreciate you joining us. And Andy put out a post today, which I wasn’t going to address. I was going to wait until Tuesday, but I feel like I need to. I’ll put my spin on it, and he and I can probably talk about it a little bit further on Tuesday. And I get all sorts of comments on this, and I respond to them on the text line as graciously and as nice as I can, but I’m afraid sometimes what I say, even on the text line, just falls on deaf ears. And Here’s how Andy puts the post. Folks, here’s the sad reality of mail-in voting. He’s talking about Colorado. There is absolutely no way the Colorado market will give up this convenience. No way at all. People love, love, love, love mail-in voting big time. By the way, I agree with Andy. Therefore, any political party taking away this convenience will be annihilated at the polls. The wrath we’d face would be hurricane force. I agree with that as well. We have won key races with mail-in voting. It’s not impossible. And, again, Andy is right. He goes on to say, look, I’m not trying to be a downer here. I, too, prefer same-day in-person voting, but it’s either here to stay or we will be destroyed for removing it. So please stop saying we’ll never win until we get rid of mail-in voting. Hoping for the hopeless is not strategy, which, by the way, I keep saying all the time, you know, number one, hope is not strategy. A strategy. And by the way, I agree with Andy on all points. And you may not agree, but the sad reality. And yes, it is sad that we live in a state that because the voters, again, sort of like the open primaries that we have, the voters decided that they wanted mail in voting. And we have that. And as I have said many, many times, to Andy’s point, we have still won key races. Gabe Evans is a great example with mail-in voting. It’s not impossible to win. We can do it. And does mail-in voting, you know, is it ripe for fraud? Folks, any system is ripe for fraud. Does mail-in make it any worse than any other? Truthfully, I don’t think it does. And I know I’m going to get some flack for that. I’m going to get some people that don’t agree with me with that. But you can lie and cheat and steal any way possible no matter what system is there. It just depends on how crafty you are and how crafty the other side is. I’ve heard people say, you know, we have to have same day in person paper ballot voting and hand counted, which, by the way, has got to be the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life. Hand counting does not provide any more security than machine counting does. If you think for one second having a human count something makes it better, I have swampland in Florida I’d love to talk to you about. You’re crazy because it doesn’t matter. Just because ballots are being hand-counted doesn’t mean it’s going to be any more accurate than a machine. Now, I get it. People are worried that the machines can be changed and the data can be altered and so on. Folks, so can hand-counting. So can hand-counting. Here’s one for this guy and two for that guy, even though maybe all three were for the one guy. Folks, please, if you think hand-counting is foolproof, you’re crazy. You’re crazy. I guess you don’t know humans and human nature very well. Because that can be altered just as easily as the machine can. Is it harder? Of course it is. Does it take more moving pieces to make that happen? Of course it does. Is it impossible? No, it’s not. So hand counting doesn’t eliminate fraud. Same day voting, by the way, doesn’t eliminate fraud. There’s always ways around some of the things that we’re talking about. It’s just a matter of how sophisticated the other side wants to be. And I’ve said this before, and I’ll continue to say this. That’s not the problem we have in Colorado. I continue to say that, and I continue to get pushback and flack from some of you that listen. We don’t have a voting machine and or system problem in this state, and that’s not why we lose as Republicans. I’m sorry, folks, it’s not. It’s why I don’t talk about it much. Yes, I want election integrity. Yes, I interview people to talk about that. Yes, I want to make sure that we do things necessary to clean up our roles and make things as tidy as possible and have the best election possible. Yes, I’m all for that. But is it the reason we lose in Colorado? No, it’s not. We lose in Colorado because we run crappy candidates and we run crappy campaigns. And then we have stupid things like Greg Lopez being in the race for governor as an unaffiliated that is going to do nothing but screw up the Republican side. And we wonder why we lose. And I can tell you right now, it’s not because of the paper ballot system we have in Colorado. What I just told you is why we lose. If we end up losing the governor’s race, which at this point we will. Sorry, I’m not being negative. It’s just the reality of things. Because as long as Greg Lopez stays in, no Republican stands a chance. I’ll talk about Victor Marx and some of the other candidates in a moment as well. But trust me, folks, it’s not going to be their fault if we lose. It’ll be Greg’s fault. And as I predicted, and Greg, I hope you’re listening, your political career is over in Colorado. It’s done. You’ll never do anything moving forward. So this is your last hurrah, so make the best of it because you’re never going to do anything else in this state ever again. In fact, you probably won’t do anything in any state moving forward. And I’m not being negative there. I’m being just very real. You won’t. No one will let you because you’re a traitor to the party at this point. And I know you would say other things because I’ve interviewed you and you’ve come back with different things. But the reality is you’re a traitor to the party. And no, you won’t be allowed back in the party. Maybe as a voter, but nothing else. And if you don’t believe me, talk to Danielle Neuschwanger and she’ll tell you otherwise. Because she did the same thing you’re doing and she’s not been allowed back in on any level whatsoever. And nor will she ever be. Maybe decades down the road, but it’ll be a long time. So, again, those of you that are supporters of Greg, please pass this along because I’m not wrong. I’m not wrong. The best export we have is common sense. You’re listening to Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Dan and Blackhawk, you’re next. Go ahead.
SPEAKER 09 :
At the top of the hour, you were talking about Tucker Carlson. Yes. So, claiming that they’re Christians, but they hate Israel. And they are what’s considered cultural Christians. They have no clue… Our holy book, if you’re a Christian, is the Bible.
SPEAKER 05 :
Right.
SPEAKER 09 :
And they have no clue what the Bible says about Israel. I would agree with that, Dan. So they’re cultural Christians. And then talking about our governor’s race, my mom has been staying with me. She likes watching TV, so I’ve been watching, not with her, but there’s been advertisements on the Democratic side.
SPEAKER 05 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 09 :
And every single one of them is against Trump. And I’m like, is that what you’re going to run? I don’t know how to say it, but the one is the attorney general. And he says, oh, I’ve beat Trump 64 times in court. And all we’d have to do is like, yeah, the one court case that you lost was when they tried to get Trump off the ballot in Colorado and you lost it. So how much of the Constitution are you for? But we can’t. We have so much infighting, we can’t attack, you know, the opposing party about Trump. I’m like, why is one guy having so much control over you? Good question. We could do the no kings. I mean, right. It’s amazing how many people get out of whack, out of lackadoodles, like you like to say, over one guy. I didn’t know one guy could have… have so much control over you.
SPEAKER 06 :
It’s amazing that Trump can live in their headspace like he does. It’s beyond me. I mean, Dan, I can honestly say in my entire lifetime, I don’t think there’s ever been anybody that’s lived in my head like Trump lives in these people’s. He doesn’t live in my head. Mine either.
SPEAKER 09 :
I mean, and don’t get me wrong, there’s some things he’s done that I don’t agree with, but I don’t let that I don’t let that control my life.
SPEAKER 06 :
No, of course not.
SPEAKER 09 :
I’m like, just like, you know, when Biden was in office, he did a lot more things that I didn’t agree with. Agree. But I didn’t let it consume my life.
SPEAKER 06 :
None of us did, Dan. That’s not what our side does. I mean, I honestly, I have never seen a party, in this case the left, be so consumed by one person in my life. It’s amazing. I’ve never seen that before.
SPEAKER 09 :
I’m losing you, Dan.
SPEAKER 06 :
Are you there?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 06 :
There you go. Now you’re back. I got you now. Say that again. I lost you for a minute. Go ahead. Maybe. Oh, I lost Dan completely. Well, I tell you what, let’s do this. We’re up against, maybe Dan will call back. We’ve got a break anyways I’ve got to take so we can get that done and maybe get Dan back here in a moment. Golden Eagle Financial coming up next. And Flesh Law, anything you need legally speaking from the criminal side to the civil side, Kevin can help you, 303-806-8886.
SPEAKER 19 :
Here’s why you need personal injury attorney Kevin Flesch on your side. He understands the way the jury thinks. In the context of a personal injury case, you’ve been hurt by someone else’s negligence. The idea is that you’re going to try to recover so that you can get back to where you were just prior to that incident occurring. What that really means from a jurist’s perspective is that you’re going to be asking them to award you money. So when we talk about fairness, we’re talking about six people that you don’t know. Those six people view the evidence and make a unanimous decision that will decide what the fair value is. When you’re the one who’s hurt, you have a good idea of what you think it’s worth. The question is, can you persuade those other individuals whom you don’t know and were witnesses to believe that’s what the case is worth? Kevin Flesch understands the way the jury thinks. It’s time to leave your safe space. This is Rush to Reason on KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 06 :
All right. I got a text message that came in to asking me if I had heard. Let me read this one really quick. Did I see the post about Victor Marks hosting his own town hall on his own platform rather than going to some of the different forums and things that some of the other candidates are going to? And yes, I did see that. I don’t follow, you know, Victor and his campaign all that closely. I’ll be honest. I’m really not following anybody’s campaign campaign. all that closely. And, again, not because I don’t have a favorite, because I don’t. I really, until the primary is over, I really, I mean, I’ll watch these guys and kind of look from afar as to what they’re doing and so on. And maybe because of my feelings of Greg Lopez, I’ll be honest with you, I don’t care. I mean, no offense, and this is for all – really top three candidates right now, Kirk Meyer, Bottoms, and Marks. I mean, I hate to tell all three of you, but until one of you or collectively you convince Greg Lopez to drop out of the race, I’m sorry to say, but all of you combined are wasting your time. And I’m sorry to say all of the supporters of each one of you, you’re wasting your time. And I’ve been criticized of being rude and disheartened and down and negative and so on. And folks, I’m not trying to be any of those things. I’m just a realist. And the reality is, as long as Greg Lopez is running on an unaffiliated ticket and he’s going to be on the ballot… And he campaigns and does the thing that he’s continuing to do. And by the way, even goes to some of the forums, which I don’t think he should be. And I don’t think he should be allowed to. But there’s enough dodo heads out there, you know, that are that are dumb enough to let him stupid on you, by the way. I wouldn’t let him on anything that we’re doing as Republicans. But that’s me. I wouldn’t let him in the door again. That’s me. He shouldn’t be allowed. He’s not a Republican. But there’s enough stupid people out there that are allowing this. and then wondering why he’s staying in the race. If you’d shut the door on him and stop letting him come to some of these events, that would end. He might get the signal, but you people continue to let him do this. You’re the problem, by the way. Part of the problem. Yeah, is this Greg’s problem? Yes. But are you contributing to it? Yes, you are. Just like the left contributed to what happened last week with Donald Trump and the assassination attempt. You’re no different. You are collectively allowing and encouraging, in a way, Greg Lopez to stay in the race. And my point with all three candidates, Kirk Meyer, Bottoms, Marks, it’s irrelevant at this point. No matter which one of those three win when it comes to the primary, as long as Greg stays in, it’s irrelevant because Michael Bennett’s your next governor. And I get it. He’s got to win the primary, but he will. Phil Weiser has no chance. None. So, Phil, if you’re listening or any of your supporters are, you’re no different than the other ones I’m talking about because you have no chance of winning because the DNC will make sure that Michael Bennett wins. You don’t have a chance. So, at the end of the day, have I been following what Victor Marks is doing? Honestly, not really. Am I opposed to Victor? No. Am I on his side? No. No. I don’t even know the man. Never interviewed the man. Nobody from his campaigns ever reached out. I’ve never had him on air. I know nothing about the guy. I don’t know if all of his background is true, not true. Again, folks, I don’t know. I mean, he looks really good on paper, but there’s plenty of things that have come out that sort of disagree with what he puts on paper. So, again, folks, I don’t know. I don’t know the man. And honestly, I wish I did. I wish I knew him a little better, but I don’t. So I can’t comment much on him because I don’t know him. Again, I know this, and I responded back to this particular texter. Here’s my feelings on it. It’s irrelevant because he has no chance of winning anyways. And he has no chance of winning a statewide race with Greg Lopez being in. And I’ll be straight up honest. I’m not sure Victor has enough pull outside of his core supporters to win the primary. All of the internal polling and things that I see all over social media and so on, keep in mind, these are all very internal polls. You are not polling across even a lot of the unaffiliated that will vote in the primary. So you honestly have no idea how things will come out. None. Zilch. Until you start polling into the unaffiliated end of things. And by the way, I will tell you this straight up. I guarantee you most unaffiliated folks have no idea who Victor Marks is or Scott Bottoms for that matter. They might know a little bit about Barb because she’s been around Colorado politics for quite some time, and she’s done a pretty good job of making a name for herself, even outside of the party, the core party. She probably would have more pull in the unaffiliated end of things as opposed to the other two. But time will tell, folks. Time will tell. And by the way, that was not an endorsement for Barb. I did not just endorse her. So don’t think of that that way because that’s not the case. I don’t have a dog in the fight. What I will do is once somebody wins the primary, I’m all in for them, and I will be. And I know Greg is still going to be in the race, and I will do everything possible to make sure that Greg gets out of the race because he needs to. He’s not helping us at all. He’s hurting us. I told him that over the radio or over the phone when he called in, and I interviewed him here on this program. So I have been very bold about that. I have not backed away from that, and I mean that sincerely. And I wish some of you that are Greg’s supporters would actually tell Greg what I’m saying, because Greg is, I’m afraid, being told by a lot of supporters that he has a chance of winning, and he doesn’t have a snowball’s chance. And I’m sorry to say that, folks, but he just doesn’t. And I wish that weren’t true. I wish really there was a way that in this case, an unaffiliated person might be able to get in there. And I like Greg, you know, a lot of the things that he that he stands for and so on, although there’s some things he and I disagree on. We talked about some of that even when he was here, when he came on air. Somebody also texted in and said that, you know, Marx only has support from one of the stations here in town. And I’m not going to name names because I’m not going to give anybody credibility on that end of things. Yeah, I do know that. And I’ve seen that. So like with a lot of politicians, Marx is going where his bread is getting buttered. And I will say this is the thing that bothers me about Victor. He won’t go on any shows where he might have a little opposition to what he’s been telling people. And I’m sorry to say, but I think that’s a reality, and that’s a shame, because I think he’s probably a stronger person than that, knowing his background and what he’s done in his particular ministry and end of things and so on, although he’s not showing that by what he’s doing media-wise. He’s actually showing the opposite. He’s actually showing that he’s not – actually, he’s kind of cowardly if you really want to get down to it because he won’t come on programs where he knows he might have some pushback. Now, with me, I’m very fair with the people that I talk to, and I was very fair with Greg Lopez. We had some disagreements over certain things, i.e., how do you help out with housing in Colorado and so on, and he and I don’t agree on that. I made that apparent, but I’m nice. I mean, I’m not rude to people. I’m strong. I mean, you guys know me on that. I don’t pussyfoot around. I don’t let people walk all over me, but I’m not mean and rude. I’m very respectful to the people that we interview, even if I don’t agree with them. And I’ve always been that way. I always will be. So that’s the disappointing thing with Victor. I’ll just say that straight up. He doesn’t go on shows, on platforms where he knows he’s going to get some pushback. That’s a red flag, folks. Those of you that are supporters of Victor, you should tell him that. That’s a red flag. When you won’t come on and debate and have a conversation with people that you think might be against you, and you can’t hold your own, how’s he going to hold his own on the campaign trail against Michael Bennett? He won’t, folks. he’ll crumble and fail. And again, I still go back to just the whole Greg Lopez point in the first place. As long as Greg’s around, none of this really matters. So, you know, does it even matter to me if I interview Victor? Not really, not at this point, because as long as Greg’s around, it’s a non-issue anyways. It’s totally irrelevant. And I’m sorry to say that, but it is. So, Dr. Scott’s coming up next. Live your best life. Be as healthy as you possibly can. Scott is there to help you with all of that.
