In this episode, Mike Gallagher dives into a whirlwind of political and societal issues shaping America today. From Ketanji Brown Jackson’s controversial statements on disabilities to Nancy Pelosi’s heated exchange with a reporter, the show dissects the implications of these headline moments. Gallagher unravels the motivations behind the Left’s stance on voter ID laws and tackles the cultural clashes simmering in Washington D.C., urging listeners to consider the broader narrative of political discourse in the United States.
From director Sean McNamara comes Soul on Fire, based on a true story. They said you had no chance, but here you are. Starring Joel Courtney, John Corbett, Stephanie Shostak, Macy McLean, with Devon Franklin and William H. Macy.

If you focus exactly on loving the life that you’re living right now, and not the life that you think you could have had or should have had, that’s the whole deal right there.

SPEAKER 11 :
From the wild world of D.C. politics to America’s culture clash, brace yourself for the reality check you’ve been waiting for. The one and only Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 04 :
I know there’s a lot of legitimate breaking news today, but there are two stories that I don’t dare avoid. There are two things that are so wild. We’ve got the former Speaker of the House, who’s considered one of the prominent Democrats in America, Nancy Pelosi screeching shut up to a young female reporter, and you’ve got a Supreme Court justice proclaiming that black people are disabled. The whole left has fallen apart. Polling, data, everything is suggesting that they’re coming apart at the seams. The only normal Democrat right now is John Fetterman. And look, even he only votes with Trump 6% of the time. Are you kidding me? He’s no conservative. He’s not a Republican. But he’s kind of normal. He says normal things. He says, I don’t want to call Trump supporters Nazis because they’re not. And the left is furious at him. They want to primary him. Axios has reported that they’re planning to primary John Fetterman. And he is very popular with voters in Pennsylvania. The problem is, he’s too normal. I mean, let’s just start with Ketanji Brown-Jackson for a moment. And I mean this sincerely. I have always maintained that the left is so condescending and so patronizing and so racist that the reason they oppose voter ID laws is because they think blacks are too stupid to be able to go down and get a free ID. Photo IDs are free. You go down to the DMV, it doesn’t even cost anything to get a state identification. I’m not talking about a driver’s license. Maybe you don’t drive. Maybe you don’t have a car. But you want to vote. And you live in an area where there is a requirement that you have a voter identification. It’s not a big deal to go down and get a free ID. Sometimes it’s $10. But it’s nothing. It’s zero effort. You just got to make the effort, right? Well, the left hates voter ID laws. So you have to wonder, why does the left hate voter ID laws? Their argument is, well, you’re going to disenfranchise black people. And I keep saying, what do you mean you’re going to disenfranchise? How do you disenfranchise black people? Now, what they don’t say out loud, what they don’t admit, is that they think black people are too stupid, too uneducated, too naive… Too ignorant, too immature to be able to figure out how to go down and get a free ID. And they don’t quite say that. They’ll never admit that. They don’t go that far. But once in a while, somebody on the left makes a mistake. and says the quiet part out loud. I give you United States Supreme Court Justice Katonji Brown Jackson in an audio version yesterday of Supreme Court arguments about redistricting. Here’s what she said.
SPEAKER 02 :
Congress passed the Americans with Disabilities Act against the backdrop of a world that was generally not accessible to people with disabilities. And so it was discriminatory in effect because these folks were not able to access these buildings. And it didn’t matter whether the person who built the building or the person who owned the building intended for them to be exclusionary. That’s irrelevant. Congress said the facilities have to be made equally open to people with disabilities if readily possible. I guess I don’t understand why that’s not what’s happening here. The idea in Section 2 is that we are responding to current-day manifestations of past and present decisions that disadvantage minorities and make it so that they don’t have equal access to the voting system. Right. They’re disabled. In fact, we use the word disabled in Milligan. We say that’s a way in which you see that these processes are not equally open.
SPEAKER 04 :
If you’re an American who happens to be black and you’re listening or watching the Mike Gallagher show today, may I ask you how it feels to know that a Supreme Court justice thinks you’re disabled because of the color of your skin? She said it. In fact, she doubled. Those are her words. They’re disabled. In fact, we even use the term disabled to talk about what she believes to be disadvantaged black voters. This is why they don’t like voter ID laws. They think blacks are like disabled, addled, lost individuals. That’s why they, she said it out loud. And look, she’s a lioness of the left. This is Katonji Brown Jackson. She’s a proud, strong woman. Picked for her legal prowess. Look, she’s on the highest court of the land. Blacks are disabled. Now you know why they’re against the voter ID laws? Now do you get it? Now do you understand how scurrilous, how disgusting, how judgmental and condescending and racist people on the left are? They have completely taken Martin Luther King’s mantra. judge a person not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character and they’ve thrown it out the window. It doesn’t matter to them. All that matters is that’s why we have affirmative action. That’s why we have rejection of voter ID laws. That’s why we have diversion, equity, and inclusion. Because black people are disadvantaged because they’re disabled. They’re just like somebody in a wheelchair. They’re just like somebody who’s an amputee. They’re just like somebody who’s got Down syndrome. They’re just like somebody who is physically and emotionally disabled. So saith Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. Wow. 1-800-655-MIKE. We’re in the Relief Factor studios Thursday, October 16th. Welcome aboard. I’m glad you’re here. We got a lot of news today. We got Nancy Pelosi’s epic meltdown. I can’t wait to share that with you. We got the media’s meltdown. They’re going to take their ball and go home. They’re not going to cover the Pentagon anymore. What will we ever do? They’re all upset. They’re all throwing a hissy fit over Pete Hegseth’s rules over the Pentagon and the media coverage because he doesn’t want leaks to expose national intelligence and give away state secrets. Oh, what a crazy concept. So we’ve got a lot to break down, but let’s start right there with Ketanji Brown-Jackson. I’ve got to get your reaction. 1-800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453. Join us. SPEAKER 04 :
I got to give you the clip of the day as we see a live look at Belmont, North Carolina on the Salem News Channel live cam. Check it out, snc.tv. We appreciate you watching every single day. I get a lot of texts and emails from people saying, yep, I watch you every day on Salem News Channel. In fact, I got stopped yesterday in the airport by a Salem News Channel fan, which is always nice. It’s always humbling. Had a guy give me a sticker yesterday in the airport. A member of the Greenville-Spartanburg airport police team gave me a sticker making me a junior officer. So better be on your best behavior in the GSP airport because I’m a junior officer now. All right, here’s the clip of the day. This is Nancy Pelosi. She is asked by a reporter, and I’m pretty sure this is somebody from Lindell TV, which has to really infuriate her. This is Mike Lindell’s network, or my pillow buddy. I’m almost positive this is a reporter from Lindell TV doing the work that other journalists aren’t doing, asking Nancy Pelosi questions. if you’re going to face any accountability for not providing the troops as requested on January 6th.
SPEAKER 07 :
Congresswoman Pelosi, are you at all concerned that the new January 6th committee will find you liable for that day? Are you at all concerned about the new January 6th committee finding you liable for that day? Why did you refuse the National Guard on January 6th?
SPEAKER 01 :
Shut up. I did not refuse the National Guard. The president didn’t send it. Why are you coming here with Republican talking points as if you’re a serious journalist?
SPEAKER 07 :
The American people want to know. We still have questions. Thank you.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, no, no, you clipped it before she turned around and smiled. You’ve got to see the smile at the reporter at the end. It’s perfect. At the end of that, the young reporter turns to the camera. She says, thank you. And she turns and she smiles like, I got her. That’s Nancy Pelosi losing her you-know-what. And you know why she lost it? Because she knows she’s in trouble. She knows she’s in trouble. And as the then chief of the Capitol Police has confirmed, she repeatedly ignored their frantic requests to authorize the National Guard backup. Even after the Capitol was breached, she wouldn’t give the go-ahead. She’s admitted it. Remember the Pelosi daughter documentary? They got her on tape in the car admitting she regrets not sending in the National Guard. That’s why she lost it. I mean, that’s, we’ve got to play that again. And play it through this time. See if we can see the reporter at the end of the clip turn to the camera with a cat-that-swallowed-the-canary grin.
We’ll get the version where you can see her turn and smile. It’s classic. It’s so good. We’re going to just isolate Nancy Pelosi wagging her crooked finger at that young reporter. Shut up! Shut up! They’re losing it. The Democrats are coming apart at the seams. And it’s just pretty delightful to watch, isn’t it? I can’t help myself. The media is melting down because Pete Hegseth doesn’t want them to leak sensitive classified material that could put our country in danger. So they’ve turned in their press credentials when covering the Pentagon. Oh my gosh, what are we ever going to do? Stick around. There’s a lot more of this Thursday episode of the Mike Gallagher Show coming up. You ready to drop up to 20 pounds or more by the new year? Have you been struggling with belly fat forever? SPEAKER 05 :
Just to be clear, 90% of secretaries of HHS have not been doctors. But they’ve had a science background. There have been three. One of Obama’s secretaries of HHS was an economist.
SPEAKER 02 :
But the majority of them that haven’t had medical backgrounds have had a science background. Don’t do anything else. Don’t say anything else yet. Because I do want to have to take a break.
SPEAKER 11 :
In the Relief Factor studios on Salem News Channel and Salem Radio Network, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 04 :
I was right. That reporter that got Nancy Pelosi to erupt. is with Lindell TV, Allison Steinberg from Lindell TV. And Michigan said she is awesome. Well, the smile that she gives is perfect. It’s just perfect. Hard to believe that they’re so willing to fall apart so publicly. And they are. They’re coming apart at the seams. What’s New York City going to do with the mayor’s race coming up in just a couple of short weeks? Tonight’s the big mayoral debate. I understand it’s going to be hosted by WNBC-TV in New York City, and we’re hoping to get maybe some access to it. And what I’d love to do is provide our audience with a broadcast. I would love to be able to have a way for you to watch and hear the debate through our platform. Maybe it’s X. Maybe it’s MikeOnline.com. Maybe it’s our YouTube channel. Maybe it’s some of our affiliates. I don’t know. Maybe here in Tampa or New York or maybe South Carolina. I don’t know. We’re working on it. Tom Tradup is scrambling and doing his best to come up with a way to see if we can provide it to you. So here’s what I urge you to do. It’s scheduled for 7 o’clock tonight, Eastern Time, 6 p.m. Central, 4 p.m. Pacific. Just check out, make sure you stay glued to our X account. My handle at X is at Gallagher Show. And keep an eye on that because if we can pull it off, we will. Eric and I are going to work on the technical side of it, and I would love to be able to host and anchor, you know, before, during, and after. We’ll take your text messages. We’ll have like a get-together. We’ll have like a big party. A viewing party. That’s how people ought to treat the no kings protest this weekend. I mean, it’s hysterical. What is the protest exactly? No kings, no billionaires. Well, what do you want to do with the billionaires? Put them on an island somewhere? What should happen to the billionaires of America? And Zoran Mamdani has said there should be no billionaires. And dare I ask, do they want to take them out like they’ve taken out the CEO of UnitedHealthcare? Like they took out Charlie Kirk? Like they tried to take out President Trump? Is that what the Democrats want when they march around and say no billionaires? No billionaires? How do you even explain that? Tell that to… Mark Cuban isn’t allowed to exist? What should happen to Mark Cuban? Do you want him incarcerated? Or do you just want to confiscate his wealth? I mean, on the surface, that’s what Zoran Mamdani wants to do. Take away the wealth of the billionaires and give it to people at the bottom of the economic rung on the ladder. That’s their plan. There should be no wealth. That’s called communism. That’s what communists do. That’s who Zoran Mamdani is. Portions of our show are sponsored by ThinkFactor. Life is coming at us fast. In fact, do it today. Make yourself a note and just follow us, and I’ll try to follow you back. I try to follow everybody back that I can. But our handle on X is at Gallagher Show. And… On X or go to mikeonline.com tonight or the Mike Gallagher Show YouTube channel. The other crazy clip of the day came from Ketanji Brown Jackson. This one actually blows my mind. This is the one for the ages. This is a justice of the United States Supreme Court. Now, as you know, the Supreme Court is hearing arguments for and against redistricting. The Democrats have managed to install redistricting as a way to prop up artificial districts that reflect a disproportionate percentage of black Americans. It’s all about race. The legal argument is over a voting map in Louisiana. And Democrats want to use race as a factor in creating election districts. Ketanji Brown Jackson weighed in. And boy, is this one for the ages.
They’re disabled. In fact, we use the word disabled in Milligan. We say that’s a way in which you see that these processes are not equally open.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, boy. They don’t have equal access to the voting system because they’re disabled. I’m stunned. Now, it kind of makes sense. For years, I’ve scratched my head at the left’s opposition. to voter ID laws. It makes no sense to me the way Democrats get all ramped up, they get all amped up, they get all agitated over a voter ID law. Meaning you’ve got to present a form of identification, a legitimate form of identification, to vote. And I have gotten a number of callers over the years to essentially admit they think blacks are too stupid to figure out how to get a photo ID. That’s what it boils down to. They use fancy words like disenfranchised, access, yada, yada, yada. What it really boils down to is that the left is so patronizing, so arrogant, so smug, that they believe that black people are, well, to quote Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson, disabled. As a black person, you have a disability. That’s what she thinks. She’s comparing black Americans to folks who benefit from the Americans with Disabilities Act. It’s like you’ve got to have a ramp to get into a building if you’re in a wheelchair. If you’re black, you’re clearly disabled. And we ought to look at it the same way. Now, she was absolutely willing and able to say that out loud, like that’s normal. A black Supreme Court justice, as you just heard, believes that black voters need assistance in voting because they have the disability of being black. You never hear Republicans talk like this. You never… Look, there is bad… people on every side of every political spectrum. And I know that racism is not dead. I get it. I’m sensitive to it. I don’t ever want to defend racist or bigoted speech or behavior. But do you know how bigoted it is to believe that black people are disabled? Whoa. 800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453. 800-655-MIKE. Wow. That’s the one of the day. Tracy disagrees. She thinks maybe the Kamala one is the biggest one, or Nancy Pelosi is the biggest one. No, I think a Supreme Court justice believing that black Americans are disabled takes the cake. What it must feel like if you’re a black American to be condescended to that way. Look, that’s why people are leaving… The Democrat Party in droves. Because this is how people on the left feel.

I kind of feel like Captain Ahab this week snagging Moby Dick. Some guests that I’ve wanted to have for a long time on this show are kind of coming together. We’re going to talk to Senator John Kennedy from Louisiana. And we get to talk to… Town Hall’s own Katie Pavlich. She, of course, author, Fox News contributor, editor-at-large for townhall.com, and she is just back from the Middle East. Katie, welcome to the Mike Gallagher Show. How are you? I guess I’ve got to push the button, don’t I? Because normally we get a guest through another channel. That big build-up, and I forgot to push the button. Hi, Katie! Hi!
SPEAKER 06 :
Hi, Mike. Thanks so much for having me.
SPEAKER 04 :
Can I share the goofy exchange we once had where I sat next to a woman in a restaurant with blue, like a blue streak, a purple streak in her hair, and I thought it was you, and I texted you, and I said, do you remember that? Now, see, I know you told people over at Town Hall and Fox News and people said, Gallagher’s nuts. There’s something wrong with this guy. remember that i think i put that one out of my memory but uh yeah i’m not the blue hairy kind of gal got the wrong one i really did i thought maybe you were having a meltdown with the purple hair it was crazy hey katie what an experience you had to have share with us just on a personal on a personal level what it was like to be able to travel uh over to uh to israel and witness that historic peace agreement
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, so thanks to President Trump’s new media policy and then bringing on different kinds of digital media to be in the White House press pool, we were given the opportunity to travel with the president on Air Force One in the pool. over to Israel for his speech to the Knesset and then on to Egypt. And it was just amazing to watch this history unfold firsthand. I always say I love my job because I have a front row seat to history. And if you’re someone in the media, you’re oftentimes writing the first draft of American history. And we want accurate pro-American people doing that. And so to be in the motorcade and to land at Ben Gurion and to look out the window and to see on the beach, thank you, President Trump, written in large letters, and then to get there and the… When they received him and to have American flags lining the highway all the way from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem for the president’s arrival at the Knesset was just absolutely amazing to see. And then, of course, the reception inside the room, you know, technically you’re not supposed to be clapping or cheering or loud inside the Knesset. But they threw all those rules out the window for President Trump’s visit. And I was joking because, you know, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu got up to speak yesterday. And then his opposition, Lapid, got up to speak and they were able to clap and cheer for each other. So I said, yeah, that’s actually real peace in the Middle East right there. So those two can get along.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah. I mean, Katie, and you can’t you can’t overstate the the way Israelis feel towards President Trump, can you? You mentioned that you flying in and seeing the sign and thank you, President Trump. Every single time I’ve been to Israel, I’m always astounded at how much the people of Israel really love and respect and admire President Trump.
SPEAKER 06 :
They love President Trump. They love America. I see more American flags when I’m in Israel than I see in northern Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C. But most importantly, when we were there, we were there the day that the hostages were released. We were on the ground an hour or two after the first hostages arrived. living hostages were finally released and then were departing when the final living hostages were home and so that was just a momentous occasion and you could feel it in the air from all the people there lining the streets saying thank you and just this relief that they had and this real partnership you know I’ve covered the relationship between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Trump for many years I covered them during the first term And I’ve been at every event that they’ve had at the White House during this first year of President Trump’s second term. And to watch what they’ve been able to accomplish together has just been absolutely spectacular. And to hear the president talk about that partnership on Air Force One. and how he believes Bibi was the right person at the right time for this moment. There’s been talk that there is daylight between them. Of course, the media tries to drive a wedge. There was none of that. And there was no wedge between the Israeli-American relationship that I could see throughout this trip. And it’s amazing to see President Trump standing firmly on the right side here with moral clarity and strength.
SPEAKER 04 :
Katie, I worry that we’ve become so numb to all the crazy events that are happening all the time that we fail to recognize the enormity of a moment like this one. I mean, we look at the craziness. Yesterday, the Supreme Court justice suggesting that blacks are disabled and that’s why we need redistricting. Nancy Pelosi shouting shut up to a young reporter for asking about January 6th. I mean, there’s governors and mayors rejecting federal assistance to lower crime in their own cities. Do you worry that Americans can’t quite grasp this kind of achievement, peace in the Middle East? I know there’s a lot to be worked out and there’s a lot of challenges with Hamas. But do you fear like I do that sometimes there’s so much coming at us that we don’t even appreciate these massive major moments?
SPEAKER 06 :
Yeah, I think there’s a lot that’s easy to distract away, a lot of negativity to distract away from the good and the success and the accomplishments. But I sometimes wish President Trump would take a second and just, you know, take it all in and appreciate what he’s accomplished. He’s the one who’s also moving on so quickly. You know, he got back to the White House late today. Tuesday morning at 3 a.m., and he’s already on to the next big thing, the next big accomplishment. So I kind of wish that he could stretch out these successes a little more. But they’re still working on it, and certainly as we reflect and process everything that happened, we’ll be hearing more about it. But just being there for the 36 hours and literally running from place to place and noticing the differences between the Israeli reception and the reception in Egypt, Most notably that the halls of the building in Egypt smelled like cigarettes, said it was not the case in the Knesset. It was just amazing to watch all of that unfold in such a fast fashion and for him to jump back on the plane and already be working on the next big project. I mean, he’s talking to President Putin right now on the phone. about ending this Ukraine-Russia war. So he’s always on to the next thing, which doesn’t allow us to really sit and settle and think about the enormous accomplishment of what has just happened. But that’s just how he operates, so we all got to keep going.
SPEAKER 04 :
I was going to say, that’s how he rolls. Katie, we know how busy you are. I’m grateful that you could spend a few minutes with us because we wanted to see how the experience was felt from your perspective. Keep fighting the good fight and all the great work you’re doing at Town Hall and Fox News Channel. We appreciate you very much, Katie.
SPEAKER 06 :
