SPEAKER 11 :
I want to warn you, if you miss one minute of today’s show, you’re going to miss a lot. Do not, do not turn away. There is so much breaking news going on right now, my head is about to explode. You want a China trade deal? Done. Moments ago, the White House announces we have struck a deal with China, which will have enormous impact to our economy. You want to hear news about the suspended ABC journalist, quote unquote, Terry Moran? They fired him. ABC actually fired the guy. You want more news about Elon Musk? He apologized to President Trump in the middle of the night. And furthermore, President Trump indicated he might be open to some degree of reconciliation. You want more? There were riots again in Los Angeles. Molotov cocktail attacks. More looting. And Gavin Newsom took to the airwaves to blame all of it, all of it, on President Trump, which is astounding. When you think about this, to blame Trump for violence in the streets of Los Angeles is the linear equivalent of blaming Trump for people who behaved violently on January 6th. They do this all the time. No matter what happens, it’s got to be Trump’s fault. Forget that Trump is committed to restoring safety and peace to the streets of Los Angeles. He wants peace. He wants safety. He doesn’t want people rioting. And the people are rioting because they’re upset about his mass deportation, a policy that the majority of Americans favor. It’s amazing. I mean, it really can make your head spin. Now, I want to share something with you that I’ve been struggling a little bit with, and I want to turn it over to you because I need you to walk me off the ledge a little bit. I’m going to make a confession. The fact of the matter is there are plenty of illegal immigrants who have lived here for without breaking the law after they committed their original crime for years. Okay? There’s no way around that. In fact, they’ve paid taxes. In 1996, the individual taxpayer identification number was created, and it allows people to pay taxes while being here illegally and awaiting path to citizenship. Now, to be sure, not all the illegals do this, but some do. Some do. They’re paying taxes hoping that it would enhance their chances of gaining citizenship one day. So they broke the law. They snuck into the country. They have maybe built a business, worked for somebody, fed their family, kept their nose clean, didn’t break any laws, even paid taxes. And they are subject to deportation. I admit, I’ll confess… I’ve struggled with that. I don’t like that. It’s not my favorite thing. Of course we want gang members deported. Of course we want people breaking the laws deported. You commit a crime, you’re out immediately. But of course President Trump’s policy involves a mass deportation that also includes people who, after their original crime of sneaking into the country… illegally, have done nothing wrong. And I just wonder if I… Now, I saw a clip today on social media, and it kind of brought me back to Earth. And I don’t think I’ve left Earth. I mean, look, we don’t all have to be in lockstep on everything. And I am… wildly enthusiastic about the Trump policies. I’m grateful. I’m looking at the economy. Oh, I forgot the other big number, the other big news. Inflation came out for May. Oh, it wasn’t bad at all. In fact, inflation eased, and it was below the doomsayers what they thought was going to happen. So the economy is doing fine. And it’s going to do even better now with a trade agreement with China. So there’s a lot of things to celebrate. I celebrate the Trump administration. But I wonder if you, too, are somewhat bothered by the prospect of some, I don’t know, pick a guy named Juan, who his wife Juanita and their four kids living in, you know, Philadelphia. He immigrated here illegally, broke the law, but for 30 years… He’s opened up the local pizza stand there in the corner of 3rd and Main. Paid taxes, didn’t break any other laws, and he faces deportation. I’m going to ask you a heartfelt question. Are you bothered by that at all? Now, again, I think I came back to reality, and I will tell you that it has to be, it has to happen. And I’ll give you the reasons why it has to happen. And part of the reason it has to happen is I was won over by a young man I saw on social media, a guy who posted a clip that made a lot of sense to me. But I want to dive into all of this with you. I’ll play that clip for you in just a moment. I’ll also give you some of the counter arguments to my own position. I wonder how you feel, though, about this hypothetical illegal who has been in the country for many years, paid taxes. committed no crimes, and faces deportation. Are you uncomfortable with that at all? Let’s find out. 800-655-MIKE. Welcome aboard. We’re the Relief Factor Studios. Look, we all, and again, don’t worry. I’m on board with the mass deportation. But I admit to you, I’d like to bare my soul here. Look, this is who I am. And you want to get mad at me, I get it. But this is how I feel. And I wonder how you feel about my particular reluctance on this. It’s not my favorite thing. I don’t love this. But I want to find out if you do. Let’s go. 800-655-MIKE. Call or text. SPEAKER 09 :
The Mike Gallagher Show. Large group of people. It could turn very volatile if you move law enforcement in there in the wrong way and turn what is just a bunch of people having fun watching cars burn into a massive confrontation and altercation between officers and demonstrators.
SPEAKER 10 :
In the Relief Factor studios on Salem News Channel and Salem Radio Network, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 11 :
Just having fun. just the kids out playing, you know, stealing a few iPhones, breaking a few windows. Karen Bass made an announcement last night, the lunatic mayor of Los Angeles, at least she didn’t go to Africa this time, like she did during the wildfires. Karen Bass announced that, look, the World Cup is coming, and we may not be ready for it because there’s so much graffiti and damage all over the city of Los Angeles that we’ve got to clean it up before the World Cup begins. huh, wait a minute, I thought it was a couple of square blocks, cuz. I thought it was just a few. Anna Navarro, she’s seen more violence at, you know, a Black Friday over at Best Buy. Stephen Miller just posted something on social media that was really, really clever and smart. He wrote, speaking of Stephen Miller, He was the subject of Terry Moran’s wrath. The ABC anchor who sat down with President Trump for a one-on-one a few weeks ago, they fired Terry Moran. He’s out. And now the left is livid at ABC. You know, we’re all going to lose track of who you’re supposed to be mad at and who you’re not. What are we doing with Teslas now? Are people mad at Teslas or not mad at Teslas? Now that Elon Musk has apologized and regrets… Things that he said about President Trump on that crazy online rant that he went through when he left the White House. He said, you know, he regrets it. He deleted the posts, of course. So now is the left still mad at Elon? Or do they love him like they did when he was attacking President Trump? It’s got to just be exhausting for them to know which car to key. Which Tesla do you need to burn? Where do you go to vandalize? Because now are conservatives supposed to vandalize Teslas? Because they made up? And a lot of people on the right are mad at Elon? It’s exhausting. So here’s Stephen Miller, who is the target of Terry Moran’s… unhinged online rant and wound up getting Terry Moran fired after years at ABC, Stephen wrote, America voted for mass deportations. Violent insurrectionists and the politicians who enable them are trying to overthrow the results of an election. Think about that. Even Jessica Tarloff, who loves her polls, admits that the majority of Americans favor the mass deportation that is underway right now in America. This is what we voted for. Trump promised this when he campaigned and America elected him. Now that he’s doing it, are these Democrats trying to overthrow the outcome of an election? I believe they are. It feels very, I don’t know, insurrection-y. I’ve got nothing but good news for you today. I really do. A lot of great news to share. And I’ve got to take you to Fort Bragg. First of all, the bit about the naming of the military bases, it cracks me up. You know, I’ve witnessed for decades the way the media and the left mock the South. They’ve always mocked Christians, but they especially hate Christian Southerners. You know, all the backwoods, toothless wonders in the South. That’s how they characterize anybody in the South. Ah, you know, they talk funny, and they’re not as smart as we are. And we sure can’t have any Confederate reminders of the Civil War. They want to pretend that the Civil War… didn’t exist and they want to act like the Confederacy isn’t part of our history. So what you do is you take the names of the military bases that are named for Confederate generals and you change it. Fort Bragg becomes Fort Liberty. We can’t have Fort Bragg. He was a Confederate general. What they’re doing in changing the names is a stroke of genius and that is incredible. So let’s get to that. And thanks to help from the Vigilant Fox. an account I follow on X. The vigilant fox sort of breaks down some highlights of Trump’s speech. The most electric moment of Trump’s address yesterday at Fort Bragg wasn’t about military budgets or renaming military bases. It came when he spoke from the gut about the riots engulfing Los Angeles. This was a battle for the soul of America. The violence had spiraled for days, but aside from a few posts on Truth Social, Trump had largely remained quiet. That ended the moment he looked out across the crowd of troops and launched into what sounded less like a speech and more like a battlefield briefing.
SPEAKER 05 :
I want to say a few words about the situation in Los Angeles, California. Have you heard of the place where I’ve deployed thousands of National Guard troops and hundreds of Marines to protect federal law enforcement from the attacks of a vicious and violent mob? And some of the radical left, they say, oh, that’s not nice. Well, if we didn’t do it, there wouldn’t be a Los Angeles. It would be burning today, just like the houses were burning a number of months ago. Generations of Army heroes did not shed their blood on distant shores only to watch our country be destroyed by invasion and third-world lawlessness here at home, like is happening in California. As Commander-in-Chief, I will not let that happen. It’s never going to happen.
SPEAKER 11 :
crowd, of course, roared. From there, he didn’t just keep the pressure on, he escalated, and the troops were loving it. He painted the riots not as random chaos on, you know, two isolated blocks, like my poor delusional friend said, but as a coordinated attack on the United States itself.
SPEAKER 05 :
What you’re witnessing in California is a full-blown assault on peace, on public order, on and a national sovereignty carried out by rioters bearing foreign flags with the aim of continuing a foreign invasion of our country. We’re not going to let that happen. Remember, millions of people were allowed to come into our country totally unchecked and unvetted by stupid people or radical left people or sick people.
SPEAKER 11 :
As the vigilant Fox describes it on X, President Trump then unearthed something that ignites a fire within every red-blooded American, the burning, the burning of the American flag.
SPEAKER 05 :
These are animals. But they proudly carry the flags of other countries, but they don’t carry the American flag. They only burn it. Did you see a lot of the flags being burned? They weren’t being burned by people from our country or from people that love our country. People that burn the American flag should go to jail for one year. That’s what they should be doing. And we’ll see if we can get that done.
SPEAKER 11 :
And then came the bombshell, Vigilant Fox writes. Trump dropped another charge, one aimed at the people who are pulling the strings behind the curtain. And as everyone suspects, Trump said this isn’t just rage in the streets. This is well-funded, well-planned, and professional.
SPEAKER 05 :
And attempting to infiltrate and occupy federal buildings wearing armor and face shields. The best money can buy somebody’s financing it. We’re going to find out through Pam Bondi and Department of Justice who it is. They’re already on it. Who’s financing all this equipment? Very professional. Under the Trump administration, this anarchy will not stand. We will not allow federal agents to be attacked and we will not allow an American city to be invaded and conquered by a foreign enemy. And that’s what they are.
SPEAKER 11 :
And finally, he closed about the riots with the part that no one in the media wants to admit. All of this, all of this was allowed to happen. As Gavin Newsom is thrashing about, trying to blame President Trump for the riots, what really is happening in Los Angeles is not happening by accident.
SPEAKER 05 :
A lot of those people were let in here by the Biden administration. They just poured right in. They came from prisons. They came from jails from all over the world. They came from mental institutions. They were the leaders of gangs. They were drug lords allowed to come into our country. Their countries threw them out. Their countries would bus them or drive them right to our border and say, go in there. You ever come back, we’re going to kill you. And we got them and we’re getting them out of here. I want to applaud the courage and the strength of the incredible troops who are right now standing guard to protect federal property and personnel and uphold the supremacy of federal law. That’s what they’re doing. They’re protecting our… ice agents. They’re protecting the police in Los Angeles. The head of the police in Los Angeles, a good man. I hear a good man. But he was actually saying we really did need this help. It had gotten away from them. It had long gotten away. And we gave it to him.
SPEAKER 11 :
Wow. Patriot. This is just amazing. A speech that that included. Trump’s reference to old glory, to the American flag that so many in the streets of Los Angeles, while waving Mexican and Palestinian flags, burned. Here’s what he said about our flag.
SPEAKER 05 :
And the only flag that will wave triumphantly over the streets of Los Angeles is the American flag. So help me God, the American flag is the one that’s going to wave triumphantly over the streets.
SPEAKER 11 :
And finally, finally, he ended the speech, and he was getting applause, of course, and the familiar strains of YMCA began. And he stood there, and the master showman that he is, he waited until the verse began, and he launched into the famous Trump dance. And you know the dance, fists at the side, and you go back and forth. And he waited until the perfect moment. And wait till you hear the way the crowd reacted to this.
SPEAKER 03 :
Wow. Patriotism and joy. The look on those
SPEAKER 11 :

SPEAKER 11 :
Some breaking news to share with you, and it’s good news. Inflation in May came in lighter than expected for yet another month. Inflation below economists’ expectations every single month since Trump took office. We were told with reliable certainty that inflation was going to skyrocket because of Trump’s trade war. We were promised a cratering economy. We were going to be eating each other’s livers. We were going to be like the dawn of the dead. We were going to be roaming through the streets like zombies. Funny how there just keeps getting to be more and more good news just looking at numbers. I mean, numbers that show polling, Trump keeps getting more popular. You know what’s astounding is his popularity right now with immigrants. Now, this is pretty crazy. Here is Harry Enten, the numbers guy over at CNN, saying, He’s in a perpetual state of shock. He can never believe all this good news keeps coming Trump’s way. But apparently it does.
SPEAKER 08 :
Let’s just sort of start off on the fact that immigrant citizens, immigrant voters, foreign-born voters have gone tremendously to the right on this issue in 2024 and 2025 versus where they were in 2020. Closest to a trust-worn immigration. You go back to 2020. Democrats, get this, held a 32-point lead on this issue. Immigrant voters were in the Democratic camp. Jump forward to 2024, 2025. Look at that shift. A 40-point shift to the right among immigrant voters. Republicans now lead on this issue by eight points over Democrats, more so than any other group.
SPEAKER 1 :
40%.
SPEAKER 11 :
A 40% shift from 2020 to now. Among immigrants, 40% shift from the Democrats to the Republicans. Americans like what they’re seeing. Don’t get distracted. And I admit I get distracted. I read an article in Axios this morning, and I started thinking about how I feel in my heart. I have to admit it hasn’t been my favorite thing to consider an illegal immigrant who snuck into the country years ago and did nothing wrong since then. Didn’t commit any crimes. Maybe worked at a company or raised their family. paid taxes, including paying taxes into the federal government, and there’s a way that some illegals do that in hopes that they might be considered for citizenship. So you think about that. They paid their taxes, didn’t commit any crimes, kept their nose clean after sneaking into this country illegally and breaking the law, should they be deported. And I admit… Not my favorite thing. I like the idea, of course, of criminals being deported. I absolutely accept that if you’re a troublemaker, if you’ve committed a crime, if you’re a drunk driver, if you’ve hurt somebody, if you’ve done anything wrong, you’ve got to go. But what about the people who haven’t done anything wrong except illegally immigrate here in the first place? And that’s my heart getting in the way of my brain. Because the truth of the matter is, as compassionate as that might sound, it’s the wrong conclusion. And let me tell you what won me over. Because I saw that article this morning, Axios, the big showdown. What do we do about the illegals? who have done nothing wrong since they got here illegally. And to Axios’ credit, they were fair about it. They acknowledge it’s against the law to immigrate to this country illegally. That is, in and of itself, a crime. But what about those who haven’t done anything illegal since they arrived here? Well, I saw a young man’s clip on TikTok last night that I had to share with you. that completely brought me back to earth and grounded me in the reality of where we currently are.
SPEAKER 06 :
Bro, you came here illegally, so you’re getting sent back. I’m not really understanding where I’m supposed to feel bad. It’s the law. What? Am I missing something? We also can’t do that. We can’t go to other countries illegally and just pop up and start working and all of that without things in order, without abiding by their laws. And to be honest, it’s a much worse punishment if we end up doing that. I feel like America is being generous. Y’all are getting caught and then being sent by plane or sent by bus back home. That’s pretty generous if you ask me. Like if I go to Russia and try to pull that off, I might not come home. They might lock me up for 50 years for trespassing. I’m confused. The media is trying to make us feel bad. And they’re like, oh, this person was 15 years old. He was a hardworking boy. He was in high school. And he was an illegal immigrant from Guatemala. Bro, you lost me. You lost me. He’s illegal. So I’m sorry. That’s just what happens. I can’t feel bad no more. Everything you said before that is disregarded. I’m sorry.
SPEAKER 11 :
Isn’t he right? Isn’t that completely correct? Now, I would only qualify it. I do feel bad. You know, I think about a hypothetical Mexican who opened up a pizza joint in, I don’t know, Greenville, South Carolina on Main Street. Been there for 30 years. Wife, three kids. Came here illegally 30 years ago. And the feds come in, swoop him up, and send him and his wife and his kids back to Mexico. I feel bad for him and his wife and his kids. But I also feel bad for a lot of families who are torn apart and disrupted by lawlessness. That’s why we’re working so hard to send a bunch of kids to summer camp. These are kids of prisoners. And I feel bad for the choices that the parents made. I feel bad for the kids who are suffering. Of course I feel bad if the hypothetical guy in Greenville with the pizza place gets deported. But he made the choice to sneak into this country and break our laws. And if we give him, if we make an exception for a certain category of illegals, we keep the floodgates open. We incentivize everybody to continue to sneak into this country illegally. So this has been a little bit of a personal struggle. And you know me, I bare my soul as often as I can. I wanted to tell you what I was struggling with. And I admit, I hate the thought of some of these people being sent home. But that guy is right. That TikToker is correct. If we tried to do this in another country… We’d be lucky to ever come home. We might wind up in a jail for a long time. We’re not locking up illegals indefinitely. We’re deporting them. That’s what Trump’s mass deportation is all about. And it’s not a mystery here. Trump promised this. He campaigned on it. And he was elected. And according to all the polling… Most Americans approve of it. Just wanting to seek the American dream isn’t enough if you try to seek the American dream illegally. And there’s no other way around that. 800-655-MIKE. I mean, I get it. I truly do. And here’s a text from South Carolina. I know lots of people who want the American dream, but if you do it illegally, you got to go. It’s not fair to all those who have done it legally. You can’t be soft on those who choose to do it the wrong way. That’s right. That’s absolutely correct.

SPEAKER 11 :
Okay, this is going to be hard. This is going to be really, really tough as you look at a live view of Atlanta, Georgia on Salem News Channel. I looked up at the screen just seconds ago to see if we were going to get to 700 kids. I’m telling you, I’m going to lose it. I’m going to fall apart. I’m going to absolutely fall apart. We started out this morning. It was like 680 kids. I thought, gosh, I’d love it if we could get to 700. And a few minutes ago, we were at 690 kids. And I said, please, we just need 10 more kids to get to 700. Do you want to know where it is? My gosh, this audience, I do not deserve you. I just don’t. Eric, can you give me a timpani roll so I can announce? When I just looked up a moment ago, I had to look at it three times. I can’t believe this number. Are you ready? 769 kids. I had hoped for 700, and you blessed 769 kids. We did 79 kids in the last five minutes. 79 of you popped in $100. I just can’t believe it. Gosh, what an incredible… act of love and generosity and kindness. This is what I mean about this country. They’re more good people than bad. And look, the criticism you and I get is, you know, if you’re a conservative, if you’re a Republican, if you’re right of center, if you’re an independent who voted for Trump, you’re cruel and you’re mean and you’re selfish and you’re awful. And look at this. You’re sending hundreds and hundreds of kids, many of them black kids and Hispanic kids. You’re sending them to a summer camp because their mom or dad are in prison, and they’re going to get to experience the wonders of being a child. I’m blown away. I’m not kidding you. I almost can’t even… It’s just crazy. I’ve spent a lot of time on air, been through a lot of highs and lows. We’ve been through a lot together. We’ve gotten through 9-11 together. We were in the Empire State Building that terrible day. We got through COVID, the pandemic. We’ve been through George Floyd and the riots. We’re going through it now. And my gosh. I have a feeling that a whole bunch of people are just popping in $100. I don’t dare ask for more. I mean, because really, if a few hundred people put in $100 today, we might get to $1,000. I love this audience so much. I love you so much for what you bring to this universe. And helping these kids the way you are, this is a God thing. And you should know that when I thank God for my many blessings, and I am blessed, got challenges like everybody else in life, but when I thank God for my blessings, this show and you are at the top of my list. You are so astounding. So thank you so very much. I’m a little bit overwhelmed. I’m just stunned, absolutely stunned. Wow. By the way, let me get back off our cloud here for a moment. I’m afraid to look at the number again. I am. I’m afraid to go back because I’m going to fall on the floor. Look, if 769 is 69 ahead of where I didn’t dream we could hit, I’m afraid to look again. So let’s get back to business for a minute. Not for nothing, you want to pop in $100 and have some fun with this and send a child to a summer camp. MikeOnline.com. I’m just saying, I’m not trying to get greedy here. I’m not trying to get selfish, but it feels like $100, there’s something about that that’s worth… Anyway, can we go back… in time to 2010 with all of this drama and we’re buckling up for Saturday, right? It’s going to be the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army. Big, giant, beautiful military parade in Washington, D.C. It’s Flag Day. Hope you have your flags out. Hope you’re ready to celebrate this great country. And all of the drama against and the hate that Gavin Newsom, and I refuse to play one word of that scoundrel’s speech last night. I’m not going to do it. The guy is running for president. Scott Jennings said it last night. Never seen anything like this. A guy running for president while riots are taking place in his state and in Los Angeles. And all he’s doing is mounting a presidential race. That’s what he’s doing. Oh, I’m going to take on the Republicans. Well, let’s go back in time. I take you to CBS News. This is Barack Obama. He was president in 2010. Let’s listen to the way CBS News covers Barack Obama sending the National Guard in to help secure our border.
SPEAKER 01 :
President Obama is sending 1,200 National Guard troops to boost security along the U.S.-Mexican border. CBS News Chief White House Correspondent Chip Reid has the details. Good morning, Chip.
SPEAKER 07 :
Well, good morning, Betty. In addition to the troops, the president is also requesting $500 million for border security. But some border state politicians are already saying more help is needed. Under President Obama’s border plan, the National Guard will assist with intelligence gathering, surveillance, reconnaissance support, analysis and training, as well as supporting counter-narcotics enforcement. This is not the first time troops have been called upon to assist with border security. In 2006, then-President Bush ordered a similar operation, which allowed border agents to spend more time arresting illegal immigrants. Mr. Obama’s announcement comes just weeks after Arizona enacted its controversial new immigration law, which gives police greater authority to question suspected illegal immigrants.
SPEAKER 11 :
Wow. Imagine that. Covering a president, sending the National Guard to the border, to help secure our border. And it’s presented on CBS in an objective, neutral, journalistic way. You won’t hear that on CBS today. You would never hear of that kind of objectivity or neutrality. Where we are right now Coming from where we used to be, it’s astounding. The change is amazing. And that’s the thing. There are receipts. There are tapes. We’ve got all kinds of evidence of Democrats completely 180 degrees from where they are now. Never seen anything like this in my life. But what a time. And look, what you did today for our Prison Fellowship Angel Tree campaign is just a great reminder that there is so much more good in the world than bad. There is so much more. love and compassion and generosity and goodness and virtuousness in the world. And we can’t lose sight of that. Don’t get discouraged. And we all make that. I make this mistake all the time. I go down the rabbit hole. I think, like the lady the other day, I was really struck by that lady who said, I’m giving up. I’m giving up. You can’t give up. Remember what Rush Limbaugh said? Eric, you got it? You got Rush? Never give up. Never give up. We’re never, ever, ever going to give up on the United States of America. Hey, that’ll do it. Wow. Thank you. I am still blown away by your generosity for the Prison Fellowship Angel Tree campaign. Again, not to be greedy, but keep it going. MikeOnline.com. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Have a great Wednesday. Be safe. Keep fighting the good fight. I’m Mike Gallagher. God bless America. And Eric, welcome back.
SPEAKER 04 :
Certainly appropriate for this segment, the Talking Heads. David Byrne and the Boys. And She Was, a little album called Little Creatures, released this week, 40 years ago. That’s right, the Eminem segment, helping everybody feel old. But here’s the eternally youthful Mike Gallagher. How you doing, man?
SPEAKER 11 :
I’m sorry I missed your Newsmax hit. Holy moly! That sounded like some fun. Holy cow. Were you like thrown by that, or were you ready for it?
SPEAKER 04 :
I mean, any time you tell me, and I’m getting the half-second pushback, mix minus, guys, please do me a favor. Thank you. Any time that I am booked to be on something where there’s a panel, and it’ll be me and a liberal person, first thing I do is embrace it. I think this is great. And I know that it can go in a number of ways. It can be goodwill, disagreement, constructive debate. Or the guy can be a total nutbag, and that was the gift given to me yesterday with this guy who started out in talking about the Trump and Musk feud saying, well, the first thing you have to understand is Musk knew that Trump was a sexual predator, and Trump knew that Musk was a white supremacist. It’s like, thank you, God. Thank you for giving me this gift. So, oh, my Lord. I didn’t bag on him. He said he’s got his attorney. Is that right?
SPEAKER 11 :
No. Well, you did your normal, fantastic, stellar work. Congratulations.
SPEAKER 04 :
Kudos.
SPEAKER 11 :
Hey, better you than me because I ain’t doing it. How would you have handled it? Well, I was getting a massage at about the time you were doing that. I was in the zone. I was in a zone of relaxation. Good for you. Some breaking news, of course, President Trump just confirmed moments ago that we reached a deal with China after intense trade negotiations. So that’s good news. That’s about to hit big time. It looks like my buddy Mark Davis was right about Elon. Speaking of Mr. Musk, as Byron York points out, now that Elon did a middle-of-the-night mea culpa to Donald Trump… Oh, I went too far. I regret some of the things I said. So Byron writes, as typical as only Byron can do, Elon Musk issues a statement of regret for, among other things, calling for Trump impeachment, accusing the president of involvement in the Epstein scandal, and calling top Trump legislative priorities a disgusting abomination. Possible resolution to Musk matter is this. Everybody makes up, be happy, move on, but realize Musk, for all his talents, is unsuited for any future government position.
SPEAKER 04 :
Which is totally fair. I will always be grateful for what Elon did in those months of Doge. He came in with the cray, came in with the attitude, came in with the Asperger’s, came in with the… Came in with all of it, the chainsaw, and achieved wonderful things. I’m glad we got as many sane weeks out of him as we did. Because for the millionth time, the Walter Isaacson biography just tells story after story after story. At Tesla, at SpaceX, at Neuralink, all of his companies, the people who work with him and know him best know that he could snap off. in a heartbeat and just go spiraling off into god knows where and it gets better in a couple of days and you just pick up and go from there that private sector that’s great public life government life not so much i’m just intrigued by who anybody who’s mad at him now well you think about it everybody is so now the right and the left so who’s gonna who’s gonna key the teslas
SPEAKER 11 :
you know what i mean like everybody’s if that was part of this in other words if it was to try to get some of the heat off of him because of progressives who were mad at tesla well then they’re not mad at tesla because he took off after trump that was never true the one of one of the one of the the dumbest theories was that this was very calculated by elon in order to win back liberal friends he doesn’t think No, I know, but I’m talking about the actual practical implications of it. I mean, because if people are sitting around screaming that Elon’s a Nazi, well, then for a brief period of time there, they loved him because he was taken off against Trump. So I guess they don’t think he’s a Nazi. Look, it’s exhausting. But I’ll tell you what’s even more exhausting. I watched this Gavin Newsom speech last night. And to make Trump the centerpiece of the riots in L.A. is really astounding, Mark. When you just think about it in bold black and white terms, they’re all trying to claim that the only reason people are looting the Apple store and throwing concrete bricks at cops. is because of Donald Trump. And that is such an audacious, ridiculous, bizarre, asinine, but typical tactic. It’s all they’ve got. And I’m going to share something with you. Can I bear my soul a little bit? All right, I’m going to get in trouble for even admitting this, but don’t worry, I came to reason quickly. I knew you were going to set me straight, but there was a guy on social media who actually did it for me. Axios writes, the heart of the standoff with Trump and the deportations and immigration, how comfortable are Americans with deporting millions of immigrants who paid taxes, built families, and committed no crimes after coming here illegally? And I give Axios a little bit of credit because they acknowledge all along it’s illegal. They broke the law. They came here illegally. And there’s no question about that. That’s not a dispute. OK, but are we comfortable then with taking a family of four, say, and a guy who’s been here feeding his family, working for 25 years? He came here illegally 25 years ago. But since that time, he has paid taxes. And I do forget that there is a path that they have a, you know, I don’t think I remembered this, but I kind of knew it in the back of my head. But there is a way for illegals to actually pay taxes in the hopes that that will help them eventually get approved for citizenship. Congress did this years ago, but it’s like an alternative. 1996, there was an alternative to the social security number that was the individual taxpayer identification number. And according to Axios, and I don’t know how this works day to day, but they say it allows people to pay taxes while being here illegally and awaiting a path to citizenship. So those people have been paying taxes, believing it would enhance their chances of gaining citizenship. A portion of those taxes even fund social security. Under the law, if they eventually get citizenship, those taxes will count toward their retirement. So let’s just stipulate that many of them have paid taxes. They haven’t broken the law. Other than the illegal immigration. We know that they broke the law to get here. But since that original… law-breaking, if you will, sin, stayed completely out of trouble. How comfortable are we with deporting that person?
SPEAKER 04 :
Completely.
SPEAKER 11 :
And, okay, I know you’d say that, and I know that’s probably the right answer, but I’m going to confess to you, I’ve struggled with this. I have absolutely struggled. It’s not my favorite thing. I don’t love it. Until I came across a guy on social media. Mm-hmm. And I’m going to play this for you, please. I want to play this young man who posted a heartfelt reality check that old Gallagher needed to get right between the eyes.
SPEAKER 06 :
Bro, you came here illegally, so you’re getting sent back. Like, I’m not really understanding where I’m supposed to feel bad. Like, it’s the law. Like, what? Am I missing something? Like, we also can’t do that. We can’t go to other countries illegally and just pop up and start working and all of that. without things in order, without abiding by their laws. And to be honest, it’s a much worse punishment if we end up doing that. I feel like America is being generous. Y’all are getting caught. And then being sent by plane or sent by a bus back home, that’s pretty generous if you ask me. Like, if I go to Russia and try to pull that off, I might not come home. They might lock me up for 50 years for trespassing. Like, I’m confused. The media is trying to make us feel bad. And they’re like, oh, this person was 15 years old. He was a hardworking boy. He was in high school. And he was an illegal immigrant from Guatemala. Bro, you lost me. You lost me. He’s illegal. So I’m sorry. Like, that’s just what happens. I can’t feel bad no more. Everything you said before that is disregarded. I’m sorry.
SPEAKER 04 :
My goodness, that’s 60 seconds of genius. That is great. That’s the reality check. And I want to come to your defense, whatever you want to call it, because our brains and our hearts are always at war. And I talk about the heart eating the brain. And in fact, I will tell you, is there some way to craft, in the example that you cite, the really heart-rending, or as they say in Maryland, heart-rendering, uh example that you give of somebody’s been here 25 their only crime is getting in here illegally and they’ve been solid citizen hard working no law breaking ever since should there be some way to kind of work with these folks to create some special category of redemption i’m willing to have that conversation it is filled with danger however because if we do it and now this is stuff that i think is already in your head uh that if we do that just to be the good guys that then everybody knows that Of course we can flood into the country, but then if we’re Boy Scouts, we can stay forever. Bingo. And we’re sunk.
SPEAKER 11 :
That’s the second part of the argument that wins me back to reality. The first part is what that young man said. If we did this in Russia, we’re not going to be treated that well. Give me a break, okay? But on the other hand, and the second part of it is what you just said, which is so important. If we… open the floodgates and say, come on in, break the law to get in here, swim across the Rio Grande, and if you make it in, God bless you, and don’t commit any crimes, and then you’re good to go. Nope, that doesn’t fly. Look, I know I’m in the minority here. I mean, the good news is… The way we really, and this is truly how I do feel. I mean, we have to do it. I’m in favor of what Trump is doing completely, but it hurts. I’ve got to admit, this is hard. We knew it was going to be hard. We knew months ago this was going to be tough. We knew we’d see the images of crying women and people saying, I don’t want to go back to Guatemala. We knew this was coming, but yet it’s here, it’s real, and now when people riot, of course they want to blame all of it on Trump. Speaking of Trump, tell me you saw him at Fort Bragg yesterday.
SPEAKER 04 :
I sure did. Mark. That is what leadership is. And to have that kind of leadership on display at Fort Bragg, and then Gavin Newsom on the TV box the exact same day.
SPEAKER 11 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 04 :
What a contrast.
SPEAKER 11 :
Case study. Game, set, match. I mean, because the truth, and incidentally, he mentioned changing the names all back of the military installations. Mark, do you know what they’re doing, the sleight of hand they’re doing to get the name change back? What? This is beyond brilliant. Okay, so you know that you recognize that Fort Bragg became, I think, Fort Liberty, right? Because Bragg was a Confederate general, right? Which no one knew or cared. Of course not. Well, they put it back to Fort Bragg. But not the Confederate general. Did you know that? They found somebody else. They’re doing this across the board. They’re matching. They’re finding other people with the same name? With the same name. They’re finding this guy, this Bragg is like Bob Bragg or something. He was a private in like World War II, but he was a war hero.
SPEAKER 04 :
So that no one can say you white supremacists are cleaving to the wrong side of the Confederacy in France.
SPEAKER 11 :
How brilliant is that? Think of the brilliance of that. And they’ve done that apparently with a number of these bases. So they’re just going out and they’re finding, you know, all these different… Robert E. Lee? Okay, now let’s find Jack Lee. And Jack Lee was a third… He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army.
SPEAKER 04 :
Served honorably in the Korean War.
SPEAKER 11 :
was a hero and we’re gonna call it but it’s back to the lee base i mean these guys are look this is winning this is and this news about china is so big watch the stock stock market soar the economy round you’re continuing to i thought but mike
SPEAKER 04 :
All the smart kids said we would be neck deep in depression by now. Inflation, recession.
SPEAKER 11 :
Eating our neighbor’s liver and panhandling on the streets. Yeah, it’s all terrible, terrible things. Look, buckle up for Saturday. I can’t wait to see how this is all going to play out.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s Flag Day, it’s Trump’s birthday, and a huge military parade planned. But the website, nokings.org, gives you a national map of where the chowder heads are going to be. And it’s about Trump hatred. It is about anti-ICE. They’re all getting together. The band is getting together on that day.
SPEAKER 11 :
Funded by the Walmart heiress.
SPEAKER 04 :
Did you see that?
SPEAKER 11 :
She’s taking all these ads. Christine Walton. And she’s apparently, allegedly, according to Laura Loomer, who got Walmart to their knees, Laura Loomer went right to them and they said, look, we got nothing to do with this.
SPEAKER 04 :
She’s sort of the black sheep. Right. She’s a philanthropist and a Trump hater for a long time. Contributed a lot to the Lincoln Projects. And lives in Mexico, apparently.
SPEAKER 11 :
She can do what she wants. And lives in Mexico. Yeah. Apparently doesn’t even live here. And she married into the Sam Walton fortune. Her husband died in a plane crash. And she got a big payday. And now she’s committed to trying to destroy Donald Trump. 36.
SPEAKER 04 :
seconds, and then we’ll do more of this tomorrow, and we’ll do Mission Impossible tomorrow, which we never get to. I know. We’ve got some ancillary things on that. As a function of percentage, at the average protest on Saturday, or any of the ones we’ve seen, as a function of percentage, from 0 to 100, what percentage of the attendees are sort of paid actors instigated? Most of them. More than 50? Wow. Most of them.
SPEAKER 11 :
I think they’re enough lunatics that it’s maybe 1050. You watch these videos from L.A. These are not organic. This isn’t spontaneous.
SPEAKER 04 :
They’re organized.
SPEAKER 11 :
They’re orchestrated. The signs are all pre-made and printed out. They look like it. Yeah, and they all look alike. They all look like degenerates. They all look like the guy in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre. There’s that.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s always a good look when you try to attract people to your cause. Happy Wednesday. Happy Wednesday. It always is. Mike is ready. He’s ready to go. The Wednesday Mike Gallagher Show.
