SPEAKER 03 :
You know, when I go on vacation, I always say it’s good to go away, but it’s even better to come back. After jury duty, I feel even better to be back. I’ll tell you about my jury duty experience in just a moment. But there is so much breaking news that we’re tackling today. And from Doge to the continuing resolution. to the violence that leftists are resorting to because they’re so frustrated and absurdly upset about what Trump is doing in eliminating government waste and fraud and abuse, government spending. It’s our money. I am absolutely flabbergasted. I am gobsmacked at the way Democrats are opposing things like government efficiency. I’m completely astounded at Democrats siding with a green card holder, a guest in our country, being deported after organizing pro-Hamas rallies representing an organization that is committed to the eradication of Western civilization. And Trump’s like, okay, you’re out. And the Democrats are on that guy’s side. Forget the Act Blue and Soros-sponsored protests in the streets. Those aren’t organic. They’re not real. Nobody’s taking to the street because they feel like it. They’re getting paid to do so. We know that. I’m talking about institutional Democrats. It amazes me. And we better get this continuing resolution passed. I don’t like seeing folks like Thomas Massey get bagged on. The guy’s a maverick. He’s a renegade. He’s a guy that, you know, marches to his own drum. He marches to his own drumbeat. I think during COVID he refused to fly on a plane with a mask on, so he drove from his… home in Kentucky to D.C. He’s a guy who stands up for what he believes in. He doesn’t believe in unity. He puts his principles over that, and I respect that. I really do. However, we’re going to get buried on this if and when the government shuts down. It’s really important that this continuing resolution, which will fund the government through September, passes. Look, Democrats think that they’re getting a leg up if they get a government shutdown. They want the government shutdown. And they’re going to blame Elon Musk because they’re blaming him for everything else, which is insanity. Look, President Trump is on record as saying that the House and the Senate have put together, under the circumstances, a very good funding bill. The CR, all Republicans should vote. Please, he even said, yes. Great things are coming. Look, we’re suffering some economic pain right now. We all get it. Do you trust Trump or not? Do you trust the efforts to trim the fat or don’t you? It’s real important. Real important that we do the right thing here. And, you know, the Democrats want you to freak out about the stock market. When you cut your wasteful spending, look at it in your own life. If you go from spending like a drunken sailor to putting yourself on a budget, it’s going to hurt. You’re used to all the things you got when you were spending like a drunken sailor. But all of this is the right thing to do. You know it and I know it. And the American people knows it. And the Democrats… are afraid that Republicans are going to know it too. I want you to hear from Elon Musk talking about how we are absolutely doing the right thing here. He was with Maria Bartiromo. There was a good conversation on Fox News, and he’s right. We are doing the right thing. There’s going to be some – this is going to – my apologies. This is with Larry Kudlow, of course, not Maria. Elon sat down with Larry Kudlow, and it was such a riveting conversation. And I want to make sure that we understand what the stakes are. Almost obscenely transparent. This guy takes to X. He’ll sit down with anybody and explain what’s being done, how we’re doing it, why we’re doing it. And these goofy leftists have gone from driving around in their Teslas and singing the praises of electric vehicles. to firebombing Cybertrucks and threatening the lives of Tesla employees. That’s how goofy today’s left has become. So let’s take a listen to Elon Musk explaining to Larry Kudlow on Fox Business Network why indeed this is all being done, and frankly, I would add, I would add we’ve got to get this continuing resolution passed, and we’ve got to do everything we can to avoid a government shutdown. Here’s Elon with Larry.
SPEAKER 06 :
What motivates you to do this? Was the offer good? It’s tough sledding. Yeah, it is tough sledding. But I think we’re doing the right thing here. There’s been a tremendous amount of waste and fraud in the government. When you were part of the government, you saw a lot of that. If you look at the Inspector General reports and the Government Accountability Office, There have been many audits that have pointed out that there’s a tremendous amount of waste and fraud in the government. In fact, there was a report issued by the GAO, the Government Accountability Office, last year. So during the Biden administration, which estimated the federal government fraud to be half a trillion dollars. So just because that’s, that’s not a Trump administration thing. It’s a Biden administration thing. So what we’re trying to do is, uh, get that number down to a much smaller, uh, figure, um, save money for the American taxpayer, uh, stop money being spent on things that are, that I think very few taxpayers would agree makes sense. Uh, you know, transgender animal surgeries or why are we spending money? Why are American tax dollars being spent on this? Um, and, uh, The president’s gone through a long list of absurd things. Why are the 20 million people who are definitely dead marked as alive in the Social Security database? why hundreds of millions of dollars of small business administration loans were given out to people aged 11 and under, according to the Social Security. These must be some very enterprising 8-year-olds. And some pretty strong 150-year-olds. Yes, exactly. As the President said, we have an enormous number of people marked as alive who are 160. He didn’t know the country was that healthy.
SPEAKER 03 :
They used to love Elon Musk, and I’m fascinated by why they hate him now. It’s pretty simple. He’s just on the wrong team. He left their team. Do you think Elon Musk stopped being a genius? Do you think Elon Musk, one of the smartest and certainly richest guys in the world, suddenly stopped being smart? They just don’t like what side he’s on. It’s astounding to follow the bouncing ball. I think it was Josh Hawley the other day who said, look, liberals a year or two ago were driving around in their EVs and virtue signaling. Why don’t you have an electric vehicle? I mean, now they’re complaining about Elon Musk as if he’s not helping to save the planet with electric vehicles. If you can keep up, you let me know. Welcome in. We’re in the Relief Factor studios. We’ve got a lot to cover today, a lot of breaking news, and we’re going to cover stuff that, frankly, is not being touched by the mainstream media, namely the murder of one of the top writers and reporters over at InfoWars, Alex Jones’ organization. I get how volatile and controversial Alex Jones is. That doesn’t mean the mainstream media should ignore him. a key InfoWars guy being gunned down outside his apartment in Austin, Texas. I want to talk about that with you. I want to get your take on that and a whole lot more as we welcome you in. 800-655-MIKE is our number. One number does it all. Call or text as we bring you up to speed on everything we’ve got to break down on a Tuesday. 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. I hope you join us. I just got the daily report for our Food for the Poor campaign. Look, if the new kid on the block, Chris DeGaulle, beats us in the campaign, I’m in big trouble. I’m giving up. You can’t let that happen. If you like what we do… Because we’re all doing this together, this Food for the Poor campaign. I’m going to give you the phone number that I didn’t give you a moment ago. I just need 400 people to pop in 100 bucks. Let’s get 100 people today to donate $100. Food for the Poor. This is what we do. We do this a few times a year. And here’s the phone number that I left out before. If you want to make a phone call, have your credit card standing by and call Food for the Poor. 844-860-HOPE. That’s 844-860-4673. Or you can go to mikeonline.com, click on that banner at the top of the page, or just text the keyword food to 800-655-MIKE, and we’ll send you back the link. And thank you, thank you, thank you for supporting our Food for the Poor campaign. Come on, let’s get there. Come on, 400 people. Wouldn’t it be amazing? How astounding would it be if I could touch the hearts of 400 people, maybe even you, Ed, in Naples? Instead of being grumpy at me, feed starving children. Clothe the naked. Feed the hungry. Partner with the Christian ministry. All I need is 400 people to donate 100 bucks, and we’re there. We’ve got our goal. Maybe we could do it today. Go to mikeonline.com, click on the banner, or call 844-860-HOPE. Call 844-860-4673. However you reach out, I do hope you’ll join me as folks just like you all over America step up to help our friends at the Christian nonprofit international relief organization, Food for the Poor. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
SPEAKER 07 :
Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 03 :
Why are the things that are so obvious to ordinary Americans so complicated for Democrats? How are Democrats instinctively always on the wrong side of every issue? And make no mistake, the Democrats want a government shutdown. I hope Thomas Massey and other Republicans who are principled conservatives, I’m not disputing that, I hope they don’t give… the Democrats, the big, giant, fat Christmas present that the Democrats want to have. I hope we don’t play into that. I really do. 800-655-MIKE. Deborah’s in Jacksonville, Florida, 22 past the hour. Hey, Deborah, what do you think about the way this is all unfolding?
SPEAKER 02 :
It reminds me of the Obama one. It was shut down. I remember during Obama… That they shut down the government.
SPEAKER 03 :
Yeah, I sure do.
SPEAKER 02 :
And they blame Republicans. You know, the essential personnel have to show up. They get nothing extra. And the ones that are put on are not. They get repaid anyhow. So we pay for them anyhow. They shut down. Even during the Obama, we were up there. They shut down the parks. They put up gates and everything else.
SPEAKER 03 :
I remember. So what’s your takeaway? It’s not a big deal if the government shuts down?
SPEAKER 02 :
No.
SPEAKER 03 :
It’s okay.
SPEAKER 02 :
It is a big deal because we’re going to be paying them for not doing any work.
SPEAKER 03 :
I understand. But who’s going to get blamed in a government shutdown? It’ll be Trump. Exactly. Exactly. And that’s what we have to avoid. And Elon. And Elon. Well, Elon, there’s another situation with the EV vehicles. Well, I mean, Elon is responsible for trimming all this waste and fat and government corruption. It’s our money. I agree with you. It’s incredible. I agree with you.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah, I know. I know. They’re going to get paid anyhow.
SPEAKER 03 :
I know. But beyond that, whether they’re going to get paid anyhow or not is irrelevant. In order to get past… I appreciate your call, Debra. In order to get past where we are right now… Thank you, Debra, for your call. In order to get past… We’ve got a technical thing going here. Of course, I come back and nothing’s working, so… We’re trying to get all the computers powered up and working and everything, and I’m flying blind here a little bit, folks, so hang in there and be patient with us. In order to get to rejecting, I heard Marsha Blackburn put it beautifully. Senator Blackburn points out, yeah, there’s a little bit of pain here. If we don’t get through this continuing resolution and keep the government open, we can’t finally be done with the Biden policies that have been strangling the United States. We’ve got to get, it’s going to hurt. Stock market right now, hey, ABC World, oh, stock market’s down three, biggest lowest drop in three years. Oh, three years. Well, it was three years ago. Oh, that’s right, the Biden-Harris administration. Look, we’ve got to be grown-ups here, and we’ve got to be responsible enough to recognize what’s at stake. And if I’m seeing this the wrong way, you let me know. Do you think Thomas Massey is the villain here? Do you think principled Republicans are to blame? Do you want them to be more unified? Do you want them to step up? You tell me. I mean, I do, but I don’t want to trash the Thomas Massys of the Senate or the House bodies because I know why they’re doing what they’re doing. One thing we do every March is a Food for the Poor campaign, and I am… just overwhelmed by your generosity. People are stepping up in a major way. As you know, I’ve been raising funds to help this Christian nonprofit international relief organization feed the poorest of the poor all through the world. And a lot of, you know what I did this past weekend before I headed into jury duty? I made phone calls. And I had some of the most delightful conversations with people who donated $1,000. And I’ve made a commitment. I’ve decided anybody who donates $1,000 or more, I’ll personally call you to thank you. First of all, you’re going to be feeding hungry, starving, needy children. You’re going to make a tax-deductible donation if you’re so inclined, and you’re going to be doing God’s work. A $100 gift feeds one child a school lunch for an entire year. $300 blesses the same three children. Three children for the next 12 months. And you’re going to feel good knowing that you’re the hands and feet of Christ by helping the poorest of the poor. So whatever you can afford, I ask you to please go to MikeOnline.com, click the Feed Their Future banner, and make whatever donation you can afford. Our show always, always soars. This is the most generous, loving, giving audience in America. And I’m always blessed. to see our numbers. And there’s a thermometer this time. There normally isn’t a counter, but you can see the counter on our show. I don’t know what the number is right now. I think we’re nearing… Well, I can’t see the screen. Text it to me. I got no screen. Text it to me, somebody. But in the meantime, I think we’re… I don’t even know where… 48,000, which is… And it actually… Tell you the truth, it’s going to be closer to 60 because we’ve got some family foundation funds that are coming in, which are going to be an incredible blessing. So here’s my promise. If you donate, if you go to MikeOnline.com and click on the blue banner there at the top of the page and make a $1,000 tax-deductible donation or greater, I’ll personally call you in the next day or two, and we’ll have a great chat. We’ll save the world together. We’ll get to know each other a little better. I had a number of those conversations over the weekend, and I had a blast. So just go to MikeOnline.com, click on that blue banner at the top of the page, make the donation, whatever you can afford. And if it’s $1,000 or more, I’ll personally call you from my home, from my living room, to thank you for your support for Food for the Poor. And thank you, thank you, thank you. Ph.D. weight loss has changed my life, and I’ve got a little secret for you. You know Big Pharma and semaglutide and the shots in the belly. You’ve seen the story recently about the study that shows that a lot of people that are getting this are going blind. You don’t want to do this. You want a program to lose weight that’s centered around science and nutrition, a proven roadmap that has helped over 8,000 clients lose weight and keep it off, like me. I lost 53 pounds a few years ago, and I’ve kept it off. I know what to eat and when. I know how to quiet any of the cravings I might get and finally release that unhealthy belly fat that I carried along for so long. Make the phone call that can change your life in the way it changed mine. It’s called PhD Weight Loss. PhD Weight Loss, Dr. Ashley Lucas’ program is brilliant. And how do I know? Well, 53 pounds later, here I am. 864-644-1900 is their number. Call and schedule your consultation. You can do this program from anywhere in America. Call 864-644-1900, 864-644-1900, or visit MyPhDWeightLoss.com.

SPEAKER 03 :
Being on a jury duty day is a pretty extraordinary experience. That happened yesterday to me, and I am just very pleased that I got to experience it. I’m glad I got released, frankly, because I wanted to come back to work. But I also changed my whole view of the jury system in America. I always believed in a professional jury system. system, which was wrong. And I got the aha moment yesterday when I realized how impressive and important it is to be on a jury. We’ll tell you about that in a little bit. We’ve got a lot of breaking news. The left is gone. Folks like Van Jones are admitting on CNN, we’re screwed as Democrats. They’ve got no message. Hakeem Jeffries is trying to pretend that Democrats have Republicans on the ropes. When Just the opposite is true. In order to get to where we need to be as a country, though, we’ve got to do everything possible to avoid a government shutdown. We’re going to talk about that as well. We’ve got a lot of breaking news today. And one story that is not, and by the way, yesterday X was hit by a massive cyber attack. Violent progressives who used to love Teslas and electric vehicles and Elon are now burning down, you know, are firebombing Cybertrucks. The left has become increasingly violent, and it’s problematic, big time. Big time problems. And in fact, there’s a guy by the name of Jamie White, who was a reporter for Alex Jones’ Infowars. And he was shot dead outside of his home in Austin, Texas, Sunday night. Alex Jones announced, we are deeply saddened to inform you that InfoWars reporter Jamie White was brutally murdered around midnight, Sunday night. Now, there’s no suspects yet. The details are sketchy, and I’m wondering why in the world the mainstream media isn’t the least bit interested in this story. Well, you know why, because it’s Alex Jones. He’s hated by the mainstream media. And they’re not covering this. If this had been a reporter for any other media group in the world, it’s all we’d be talking about. And you want to know the really chilling irony of this guy’s death? His last post on X, was retweeting an Elon Musk comment about how violent progressives have become. That was the last thing he posted. before he was brutally murdered. I want to get details on this. And again, since the mainstream media isn’t reporting on it, we’ll do some digging of our own with one of the best newsmen in America, Roger P. Shulman, who’s the veteran Tampa Bay journalist and our anchor here on the Mike Gallagher Show. Roger, what is the latest here? Bring us up to date on what you know about the killing of Jamie White.
SPEAKER 01 :
Well, he didn’t show up for work. He was very reliable. So Jones sent some people over to his apartment where they found yellow crime tape and blood all over. And it turns out that he was shot to death. The police in Austin aren’t saying much. The police in Austin have had their budget cut by a third in recent years, and the crime rate has skyrocketed in that city. And the problem is, Jose Garza is a Soros-supported man. district attorney and you know what that means it means that they’re going to be soft on crime they’re going to be releasing violent criminals into the streets right out of jail without any jail time in many cases and it’s become a very dangerous city now he was working on that story as you mentioned mike about the violence of the republicans the uh right the left side and all the problems Speaking of Tesla, the Tesla dealerships are getting all kinds of bomb threats and nasty calls and swastikas painted on some of the buildings. It’s turning into a very nasty situation because the left doesn’t know what to do at this point. So they’re resorting to their basics of violence. And Soros, of course, wants all of our cities to disintegrate into crime, violence and vigilantism and race wars and everything else by releasing all these prisoners. So that’s what…
SPEAKER 03 :
And I do want to make sure we’re clear here on something there. You know, Alex said apparently on his show, the police did tell us that they have some suspects and I’m going to leave it at that. Alex said they didn’t want to tell us whether it was a stabbing or a shooting. I can just tell you that from the amount of blood, it was very serious. They were there scrubbing his blood off the ground when our folks got there. He concluded by saying, my condolences go to the family. Your son was and is an amazing person, and we’re so proud of the work that Jamie White did. But to be clear, Roger, there have been no arrests made yet, right?
SPEAKER 01 :
That is my understanding, and my understanding is a later report said that it was a shooting, but— As you know, early in these investigations, the facts can be twisted around wrong, but it looks like it was a shooting, and it may have been targeted. It may not have been a random thing, although there are a lot of random crimes in Austin now that the police department’s budget has been cut. They’ve been having a lot of problems with the district attorney there, the Soros-supported one, because they’re not getting the backing they need.
SPEAKER 03 :
Wow, what a story. All right, we appreciate the information. Roger P. Shulman from our newsroom, 800-655-MIKE. Again, I want to talk about the protests in the streets of America. I am absolutely mystified. Not mystified, but I have to admit I’m a little flabbergasted at the way the left has decided that Elon Musk is the big boogeyman. They’ve concluded evidently that Elon’s to blame for what Trump is trying to do. As I said at the very beginning, Elon Musk serves at the pleasure of the president. Donald Trump wants to cut away all the excess government inefficiency, the waste, the fraud, the corruption. Who’s against that? Well, the Democrats are. The Democrats are taking to the streets. And many people on the left are resorting to violence. And I’m the first to acknowledge it’s a scary time right now in America. And we’ve got to get this train back on the tracks. And if the economy, look, I know people are talking about the stock market. Trump is acknowledging, the president is saying, obviously he isn’t using these words, but there’s going to be some pain because this is a detox. We’re having to detox the whole government system. And the Democrats don’t want the gravy train to end. And the Republicans want an efficient government. It’s our money. And here’s the murder of this InfoWars reporter that I don’t think anybody is touching. I haven’t seen this covered on Fox News or anywhere even. What in the world is happening here? And it may be something random. It may be a domestic thing. It could be anything. Or it could be as bad as Alex Jones himself fears it is. This is largely a result of the budget slashing and the progressive prosecutor, Jose Garza, in Austin, Texas. Let’s dive into it here in the Relief Factor studios. Great to be back in the saddle again after a day at jury duty. I’ll tell you about the jury duty experience at some point as well. But first, I want your calls and your texts and your emails. SPEAKER 03 :
I’m so conflicted about folks like Thomas Massey who is promising to vote against the continuing resolution. I know there’s a lot of really great red meat conservatives who are saying, no, no, this is part of the problem. It’s too much spending. I get it. You’ve got to walk before you can run. It’s like the stock market right now. Another bad news. The Dow is dropping. They’re screeching about a possible recession. And either you trust and believe in Trump or you don’t. You believe he’s got a plan, that tariffs are going to work, and that we’re going to have a detox, a detox period of time for our country. And there’s going to be some pain. If you stop spending like a madman and all of a sudden you are on a budget and you’re more fiscally disciplined, then it’s just going to hurt for a while. You don’t get to spend all that you wanted to spend. And the Democrats are shrieking. about ending government inefficiency and waste. Welcome in. It’s great to be back. Thanks to Joey Hudson for covering for me yesterday. What an incredible experience to be called to serve on a jury. I was dismissed. Of course, I shared my pro-police beliefs, and I don’t think that they were particularly interested in having me on that jury. Guy was facing drug charges and I think possible murder charges. Hard to know. But It changed my mind about the jury system in America. Mark Davis and I talked about it. In fact, later this hour, we’ll play the Eminem experience from my hit with Mark this morning at 735 on 660 AM The Answer in Dallas-Fort Worth. You know, I’ve always loathed the idea of people being ripped out of their day-to-day lives and having to serve on a jury when it could cause them all kinds of financial hardship. There was one lady who was the primary caregiver for her sick husband. She said, there’s nobody to take care of him. If I’m here for a few days on this trial, I mean, it’s a major, major hardship. And so I’ve always advocated for the idea of professional juries. My argument used to be everybody in that room is a professional. They’re trained. They know the law. They’re paid. You know, you get to be a jury in Florida, in Pinellas County, $15 a day. So if you’re running a convenience store like one lady was, or if you’re a beauty salon attendant like one lady was, or you drive a truck like one guy did, you miss two, three, four days, five days or more of work, you’re in trouble. $15 a day doesn’t cut it. But then I sat there. I was in the courtroom. I looked at the defendant next to his defense attorney. I watched the judge. And I looked at the group of people, the jury pool, 55, 60 people from all walks of life, white, black, Asian, Hispanic, young, old. And I thought, this is our system. This is America. This is the way it’s supposed to work. Yeah, it’s an inconvenience. Yeah, it’s a pain in the neck. Sure, I dreaded missing work. I hated it. But it felt right. Good to be a part of that American experience of serving on a jury. The words civic duty kept resonating in my mind. And I was honored. And it was weird because people were saying why they didn’t want to serve. Because all the judge wanted to know, and the judge, incidentally, was amazing. I forgot to write his name down. He said he’d been doing this for 40 years as far as a lawyer and a judge for, I think, 10 or 12 years. He was warm and friendly and funny and kind. Everybody in there was. The sheriff’s officers, the sheriff’s deputies that were in there were great. Pinellas County runs a great system. They really do. And, you know, it’s a little tedious and you got your number and you’re in the room and there’s a whole bunch of us. And I’m watching these people say, look, I’m going to lose money. I got to take care of my sick spouse. Well, I don’t have any excuse. What am I going to say? I’m a big mouth talk show host. I mean, I got nothing great to offer the world. But I did think it was important to share with them Gallagher’s Heroes, the Fallen Officers Fund. My foundation, the Mike Gallagher Show Charitable Foundation, is all about police. I’ve spent hundreds of hours riding with police officers. I still think fondly of my time riding through the streets of Greer, South Carolina, with my old buddy Dean Crisp, who used to be the police chief in Greer. Watched drug arrests, saw raids, saw people. I was in high-speed chases. And because of that experience, I absolutely give police officers the benefit of the doubt. I believe strongly in supporting law enforcement. And I wanted the court to know that. I said to them, to the judge and to the lawyers and the defendant, who is presumed innocent, and the judge reminded us about that over and over again, I said, I know it’s my duty to be objective and to be fair, but I want you to know how much I care. support and respect law enforcement. Well, the lawyer for the defendant I saw immediately wrote something down, and I thought, she’s writing, no way in hell are we going to put this guy on a jury. He’s done. Out. Gone. And sure enough, you take a break and everybody files out. Then we file back in. And it’s like being voted off the island. It’s like an episode of Survivor. The judge says, all right, row one, Ms. Smith, Mr. Jones, Ms. McGuire, Mr. Gallagher, you’re dismissed. Thank you. It’s weird. It is a strange. All to get six people to be fair and objective and impartial. And that’s what that defendant did. Deserves. That’s what he deserves. That’s what he gets. That’s America. And I’m honored to have been able to experience that. Never again will you hear me say I think a professional jury is a good idea. Because it’s not. It’s just not. It would be a big mistake. Watching… This, through the lens of being in that courtroom yesterday, was an astounding thing. All right, let’s get down to work here in terms of coming back to work after the long weekend for me, at least, with the jury duty yesterday. President Trump touted the arrest of Mahmoud Khalil. who President Trump has described as a radical foreign pro-Hamas student on the campus of Columbia University. There’s a whole lot of misinformation about this guy. Let’s start with, I mean, I kept asking myself this question, is the guy a citizen or not? He’s not. And guess what? When you’re a guest in our country and you’re leading pro-Hamas, Hamas anti-Israel protests terrorizing Jewish students and speaking for an organization that literally advocates for the eradication of Western civilization. Guess what? You got to go. You’ve got to leave. You have no guarantee that you’re going to be here in America. I want to tell you about the case of Mahmoud Khalil. I want to continue to talk about the domestic terrorism we’re witnessing with attacks on Tesla. I saw a video of a family in New York City. in a cyber truck from Tesla and some unhinged lunatic guy with a backpack and a beard started screaming at them, running alongside them, pounding on the windows, terrifying the family. And all I could think of was, and pardon my language, who the hell do you think you are? What is wrong with you? What did that family do to you? About a year ago, you guys loved Teslas. You’re all about EVs. Now, Elon Musk is the devil? Why is that? In fact, let’s try that exercise. Let me invite somebody who doesn’t like Elon Musk to call and explain it. Let’s give it a try. 1-800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453. Join us.

Mike Gallagher. Every day, Mike visits with Mark Davis, morning host on 660 AM The Answer in Dallas. Here’s today’s Eminem experience.
SPEAKER 04 :
Welcome back. We missed you yesterday.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, I’m glad to be back, although I’m a little, you know, I feel like I sort of dodged the proverbial bullet because, as you said, I got close. um to being picked i’ve never gotten that far you know i’ve been called to jury duty when i lived in new york city like two or three times and you just sit in a room all day and then they dismiss you because inevitably the the trial is dismissed or they they come to a settlement and they don’t need a jury well this one there were 60 of us we got shuffled into courtroom number seven and we all had to explain why we should or shouldn’t be on this jury. And you walk in. Now, first of all, you know me. You know True Crime Mike. The only time I’ve been inside a courtroom is an episode of Forensic Files. So I’m just fascinated by the whole thing. I’m like, ooh, there’s the judge. Ooh, there’s the defendant. And there was a youngish man in a white starched shirt sitting at a table with his defense attorney facing us, looking us all in the eye, which is a little scary. And I’ll tell you why in just a moment. On the other side is the chippy, cheery attorney for the prosecution. She’s standing there greeting us all. And they know where we’re all seated. They know us all by name. There were like 55 or 60 of us all in rows. And there was a grid where the judge, when he called you, he knew exactly who you were. And you were to stand and you were to explain what the hardship could be. This was during the voir dire process where they’re going through the jury selection system. And some of it was just kooky. Well, I don’t really want to be here. I deliver newspapers. And if I don’t deliver papers, I don’t make any money. And look, this is a real financial hardship for people.
SPEAKER 04 :
I totally understand.
SPEAKER 03 :
I mean, there are lots of people who, you know, our policy, Salem has a policy where apparently we get jury duty hours. And as an employee, we’re compensated. Well, not everybody has that luxury. You know, there are people that are entrepreneurs. There was a guy, look, I’m a truck driver. I don’t drive. I don’t make money. And the judge was really good. I forget his name. I think it was Esposito. But he was just warm and smart. He said he’d been doing it for 40 years. I mean, he was just a great guy. Anyway, I’m trying to come up with in my mind, because they say this could last several days. The young man was being brought up on cocaine and heroin distribution charges. And then what got interesting was the prosecutor read a list of the potential witnesses. Two of them were from the medical examiner’s office. He killed somebody. Well, somebody died. I mean, I think that may be the trial. I mean, I’m trying to speculate. And, in fact, I’m asking Roger P. Shulman, our resident newshound over here, to look up the case. Because I’ll bet they’re saying the prosecution is saying that he distributed drugs and somebody died. And that’s the that’s the nature of the trial. So and there were a lot of people. One woman started crying. She said, I lost my son to a drug overdose. I don’t think I can be objective. And so and she was dismissed. Well, I stand I’m thinking, what am I going to say? Because I’m a pretty smart guy. I know it’s my duty to be objective. But you know me. I mean, I happen to have Gallagher’s Heroes, the fallen officer fund, which is a pro-police foundation. I’ve spent hundreds of hours riding with police officers. I give cops the benefit of the doubt. So it’s my turn to stand up, and I’m thinking, I don’t want to weasel out of this, but I’m going to tell the truth. And I said, look, in part of my job, I have a foundation that supports police officers and their families. And I will tell you that I give police officers the benefit of the doubt. I know it’s my duty to be objective, but I’m not sure I can because I’m so pro-police. Of course you could. Okay. Well, wait a minute. Let me finish this. So that’s when the defense attorney, I see her immediately write down a note about me as I’m speaking. I’m thinking she said, that’s a hail to the no for this guy. That guy’s gone. We don’t need him. The last thing we need is a pro police. But it was like getting voted off the island, Mark, because then when you come back from the break, you all shuffle back in and everybody’s sitting on the benches and the judge goes row by row. Row one, Mr. Smith, Mrs. Jones, Mr. Gallagher, you are dismissed. We get up and we walk out. One woman literally said, yes, yes, yes. I couldn’t believe it. I mean, she was the lady who didn’t like cops very much.
SPEAKER 04 :
So Judge Jeff Probst voted you off the island and revealed the results.
SPEAKER 03 :
I was off the island.
SPEAKER 04 :
But let’s unpack for just a second because I’m glad you brought it up. It’s a fair thing to bring up because actually I would think the attorneys for both sides should be able to evaluate. whether your pro-police activism would make you more or less a fit for the jury. But you and I know, and everybody who’s ever listened to you knows, that there’s nothing that you’ve ever done for cops, and you’ve done so much, that would leave you unable to be objective. I mean, you and I are the pro-police, back-the-blue shows of record, but when something goes wrong, or if a cop misbehaves, or if there’s something that’s not right, we’re not going to muzzle our We’re going to speak up about it because we’re pro-police.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, like you said, that’s up for them to decide. That’s up to them. I’m not going to make that decision. Look, did I want to be there for a few days and miss my job and miss my work? Absolutely not. But I will tell you that I’m glad I said what I said because, look, I don’t think they’d ever put you or me on a jury. I don’t think Mark Davis would ever get selected to be on a jury.
SPEAKER 04 :
I don’t. And this is funny because I always miss 735. It’s like missing a limb. How can I not talk to you? It’s a vital part of the show. And yet by not being here, the reason you were not here yesterday, you gave me probably half the show. And it was on the stuff of people. Their jury duty stories got me to ruminating over whether I wanted to. You just said I don’t want to be gone for three or four days. I don’t either. I don’t want to miss shows. I never want to miss shows. But I would love. I absolutely want to. And then you get into the notion of, OK, got a big, big mouthy talk show guy. Are we the automatic foreman or is there no way they make us foreman?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, let me tell you something, though, Mark. I have always taken the position that we ought to have professional juries for this very reason. Now, wait a minute. Let me finish, please. Let me finish my point. Please let me get a sentence out. I’ve always believed there should be professional juries because of the financial hardship that it creates, because of the aggravation, because there are people that don’t know their left hand from their right hand. I mean, there were some people in that room that were dumb as a box of rocks. I’m not kidding you. I mean, there were women that stood up and the things they were babbling about and you could, the judge almost had to roll his eyes. Let me finish. Let me finish. So I’ve always leaned towards saying, well, everybody’s a professional. But wait a minute, there was something I felt sitting in that room, that sense of civic pride, that sense of duty and responsibility, and realizing here’s 50 or 60 of us plucked from our daily lives to sit in judgment of a fellow American who is innocent until proven guilty, who’s presumed innocent. For the first time, Mark, I saw what you’ve always argued with me about, that you’re right, that the system works. It is a sense of civic responsibility. And there’s something magnificent about it. I really sat there and I realized, no, I’m wrong here. We don’t need professional juries. We need citizens who are willing to do it.
SPEAKER 04 :
And I understand it because you’re right. There is a financial hardship. A lot of people are stupid. There’s an argument for professional jurors that can be made for about a minute. But then that’s not a jury of your peers anymore. That’s right. And the charm of it, the glory of it is they’re plucked from the walks of life just like you.
SPEAKER 03 :
We were all from different walks of life. I mean, I could tell there were blue-collar workers. There were construction workers. There were truck drivers. There were insurance executives. There was me. That’s what it was all about. And so you’re right.
SPEAKER 04 :
Should we pay them better? I mean, because here’s the thing.
SPEAKER 03 :
Oh, yeah, $15 a day. So we got $15 a day.
SPEAKER 04 :
So here’s the thing, because I totally understand somebody’s financial hardship. But can that be an excuse? Because if it is, all you got to do is go in there with some financial hardship, sob story. Sorry, not sob story. All you got to do is go, I can’t afford it. And what kind of juror does that give you if we omit everybody who kind of works day to day for a living? Give people $300, $400. Like we got money for that, I guess. I know we can’t afford anything.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, no, we don’t. But on the other hand, I don’t know.
SPEAKER 04 :
Financial hardship, while I totally understand it. I don’t know if that works as an excuse. What if the trial lasts a month?
SPEAKER 03 :
Right. Well, the judge was joking about the $15 a day. One lady said, look, I run a convenience store. We’re down five people. Everybody’s out. If I’m not there, we’ve got to close the store down. And the judge laughed. He said, you mean the $15 a day that we offer isn’t going to cover it? All right. And he was a wonderful guy. I loved his judge. I was really impressed with him. But anyway, it was a great experience. I’m glad to share it. I’m glad I’m back, and I’m glad that I wasn’t there. But I’m also glad I changed my mind about professional juries because there was a great feeling about even spending the day there and seeing the process. All right, let’s dive in here. I’ve got to start with picking your brain. I’ve been wanting to talk to you about this for days. The unbridled rage, the seething contempt, the insane anger towards Elon Musk. Help me. It has to go beyond, look, he’s the scapegoat. It’s got to go beyond they found their boogeyman. They’ve got their boogeyman in Donald J. Trump. Look, I saw some senator, I think it was Josh Hawley, say the left is so weird. Just a year or two ago, they’re driving around in electric vehicles.
SPEAKER 04 :
They’re forcing us to buy electric cars. Now they’re sending fire to them.
SPEAKER 03 :
Now they’re blowing up the Tesla dealerships. I asked the lady in St. Pete, Florida, do you know they get like 50 to 100 calls a day?
SPEAKER 04 :
threatening and horrible things and we’re going to burn you down and we’re going to burn they’re they’re they’re firebombing cyber trucks in seattle you know why why him it’s it’s why him because number one it’s two things alliance with trump will make you the evil enemy if trump is the evil enemy then trump’s allies are evil enemy adjacent all right so you have that
SPEAKER 03 :
Right.
SPEAKER 04 :
And also there are a lot of people who can catch a lot of grief from the left for siding with Trump. But when it’s somebody that it’s almost feels like a betrayal. Elon used to be cool for them. Liberals like social media, liberals like space, liberals like electric cars, electric cars. But now this guy who’s been emblematic of so many things they love is now over on the dark side, not just siding with Trump optically, but doing what is kryptonite for every liberal government smaller. Whoa, so the reason they hate him with the fire of a thousand suns is the change is real.
SPEAKER 03 :
I think you’re right. And the other part of it is it’s not all organic. I mean, it’s not all spontaneous. We got a whole lot of nefarious actors, Act Blue, Soros, all these big organizations that are funding these protests that are taking place. A lot of it is just not even authentic. But I got to cover this with you. Have you followed the murder of the InfoWars guy? No.
SPEAKER 04 :
One of Alex Jones’ associates? What happened to him?
SPEAKER 03 :
One of his top writers. He was shot dead outside his home. And you know what scares me is you said what happened to him. Because if this had been somebody on our team or NBC or God forbid, we’d be talking about it. But it’s InfoWars, so they don’t even cover it. The last post this guy retweeted was how liberals have become so violent.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah.
SPEAKER 03 :
That was his last retweet. He retweeted Elon Musk saying liberals have become violent, and he was shot dead outside his apartment in Austin a couple miles from the Infowars studios, and nobody’s covering this, Mark.
SPEAKER 04 :
And it should be covered as the crime that it is, and yet we have a little bit of a logical challenge here, and it goes like this. Do we instantly go to, well, Alex must be on to something and his staff needed to be killed, or was dude just in the wrong place at the wrong time?
SPEAKER 03 :
And it could be one or the other. They don’t have any suspects, apparently. They have nobody in custody. So, hey, it could be random. It could be something that was a robbery gone awry. Or it could be that liberals have become so violent. I mean, would that surprise you? Would that shock you, considering what? Look, we’re having a debate right now about a Hamas-loving non-citizen being deported, and the Democrats, and they’re absolutely in his corner. Democrats will always favor the foreign national over American citizens. If they were deporting Alex Jones, the left wouldn’t care. They wouldn’t mind that one bit. Holy moly, what a time to be alive. My gosh.
SPEAKER 04 :
And this is why you can’t miss one show, much less three or four.
SPEAKER 03 :
No, and you know why I can’t miss the rest of the week before you go on one of your legendary vacations? It’s spring break already. You’ve got to take the month off. And I’m glad, by the way, Chris Kroc is going to fill in for you. What a great guy he is. So I’m excited about all your guests. But we’ve got to do another lunch with Mark and Mike because I’m in my food for the poor campaign.
SPEAKER 04 :
Can this be true? All right, let’s package this. Let’s talk about it some more tomorrow.
SPEAKER 03 :
Okay.
SPEAKER 04 :
But can we tease it? Can we tease it today? In the following way. Yes. We’ll talk about it in a little more detail tomorrow and share the actual methodology on Thursday. Okay? Sound good?
SPEAKER 03 :
Good. Got it.
SPEAKER 04 :
Ron is back Thursday? Correct. And so here’s the deal. We had such a great time and raised a bunch of money for Food for the Poor by gathering a big table full of people at a DFW area restaurant. And my Food for the Poor campaign, which is now done, was enormously successful as a result. So what starts now? Mike’s Food for the Poor campaign. And so Mike put two and two together and said, how about if I fly to DFW and we do it again?
SPEAKER 03 :
I mean, Mark, we had so much fun. This was such a great group. And there’s a rumor there’s even a couple that wants to do it again, which would be extraordinary. Really? How cool. I mean, so, and unlike Mark, I’ll get a bigger table. I mean, I’ll just get a bigger table.
SPEAKER 04 :
King Arthur’s Knights of the… Well, I was going to say it has to be a round table.
SPEAKER 03 :
A round table, and you’ll be on one side, I’ll be on the other.
SPEAKER 04 :
Is the thing going to be the size of a Saturn V?
SPEAKER 03 :
booster it’s going to be the biggest round table you’ve ever seen but we’re going to get it all done look now this is the so we’ll have so much fun thank you for letting me do this on your show i can’t wait so we’ll get all the we’ll roll out the details thursday all right love you glad to be back he’s back he’s ready 10 o’clock soon as we’re done on 6 60 a.m the answer
