In this engaging episode, we dissect the dynamics of political maneuvers with a focus on President Trump’s agenda and the polarizing figures surrounding him. The discourse doesn’t stop at domestic issues; we expand into how international affairs and influential figures like Elon Musk are becoming pawns in the intense game of geopolitics. Dive in as we navigate these unfolding dramas with insight and a touch of humor.
SPEAKER 14 :
President Trump is moving at lightning speed.
SPEAKER 18 :
Billions of dollars in waste, fraud, and abuse.

SPEAKER 15 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior. From the Relief Factor studios, here’s Mike Dillon.
SPEAKER 13 :
The Schumer shutdown is coming. I knew it. I knew they couldn’t find six or seven Democrats who would be bold enough and strong enough and principled enough to keep the government from shutting down. And for those of you who like to say, let the government shut down, who cares? Hugh Hewitt makes the case that a government shutdown is going to benefit the Trump agenda. Hugh posted something at X yesterday that I think really perfectly encapsulates what’s about to happen. Media’s going to freak out. The media will blame Trump and Elon. Probably more Elon than Trump, because now the left hates Elon Musk more than they hate Donald Trump. So the media will blame Trump. But Schumer is standing there saying, we’re shutting it down. Of course, we’re not going to vote for the continuing resolution. We want to try to inflict as much damage upon the Trump administration as possible. Did you see the guy, the Democrat from Connecticut, who went absolutely bat-crap crazy at a hearing that they wanted Elon Musk to attend? And Elon Musk is like, I’m not going to go and be beaten up by you kooks. Did you see this meltdown of this guy? Christian, let’s play it. I don’t even know the guy’s name. Never heard of him before. He’s a Democrat representative from Connecticut. And evidently, he got a little testy because he wanted Elon Musk at a hearing that Elon Musk didn’t attend. You don’t think these people are broken? Check this out.
SPEAKER 16 :
We’re an equal branch of government. And you start off with a blather. And yet we look at the empty seats here. Where’s Elon Musk? I’m sure he’s a genius and is a very credible person because of the wealth he’s accumulated. But that does not put him above the law or the responsibility to come before this committee and this Congress. If he’s so great, if these plans and all the fraud and abuse that he’s found are so eminent, why isn’t he here explaining it? You know why. Because he’s out to privatize Social Security. He’s been on television the last couple of days talking exactly about Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid and what he intends to do. Privatize it. The American people, some of them may have been born at night, but not last night.
SPEAKER 13 :
Now, if you’re watching on Salem News Channel, you saw that man, his face turned nine shades of purple. Somebody get that guy a sedative or a counselor or a pastor. John Larson is the guy’s name from Connecticut. Democrat congressman John Larson absolutely losing his marbles over Elon Musk. And it’s Elon. There’s something. Musk has the same… effect on the loony left as Trump. It’s totally this irrational, over-the-top rage. I mean, I’m longing for a caller to my show who can just reasonably say, here’s why I disagree with some of Trump’s policies. Here’s why I disagree with what. All right, fine. Let’s talk that way. Let’s have that conversation. I had that conversation with my cousin Paul the other night, and it was wonderful. You understand I got a lot of people in my life who are very different from me politically, and that’s how I like it. I don’t want to be in a bubble. I like to see both sides of issues. I get in trouble sometimes because probably of some of my friendships with other people because I do know that many of them are really, really afraid and they don’t know how this is going to play out. It’s not just politics for them. They actually believe the lies that Trump wants to gut Social Security, that Trump is hurting veterans. I mean, they believe that crap. And the Elon stuff is amazing because they used to love Elon. They used to love electric vehicles. They used to love Teslas. Remember when AOC bought one, proudly driving around? I had friends who wanted to get a Tesla, and they said, well, I’m not going to buy it if it’s a symbol of AOC. Well, now MAGA’s buying Teslas. Trump bought one on the lawn of the White House the other day. You know conservative mama, this really funny influencer on X who does all these caricatures of loony leftists? She did one that I got such a kick out of I wanted to share with you. This is what they used to say about Elon and what they’re saying about Elon now. And you’ve got to keep my mic up, guys, because when the graphic comes up, like now is how they feel. I’ve got to say that so people know when the switch was because you can’t really tell just from listening to it. It’s so funny. She’s so good. And here she is, conservative mama on X. This is how they used to feel about Elon and how they feel about Elon Musk now.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, that’s my new Tesla. She’s a beauty, real beauty.
SPEAKER 13 :
Pause it for me. Let’s pause it and start from the beginning again. I want to read these graphics. Start from the beginning. This is the left before Elon Musk wanted to buy X. Twitter. Twitter.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, that’s my new Tesla. She’s a beauty, real beauty. Best looking electric car out there. I mean, honestly. That Elon Musk, he’s remarkable. Really a remarkable, remarkable guy. I mean, let’s save the planet, right? Let’s save the planet. Wow, are you guys seeing this? Did you guys see what just happened? Elon Musk just successfully relanded a rocket. This is historic. This is unbelievable. This is incredible. This guy’s like a real life Iron Man. Yeah, Vladimir Putin is evil. He’s an evil person. But did you see what Elon Musk did? He helped send Starlink satellites over Ukraine so that the people in Ukraine could get internet. He’s just such a good guy. I don’t think we need to talk about Elon Musk, really. There’s other topics of conversation we can have. I mean, the guy is advocating for free speech. Free speech! That is going to ruin our democracy! Ruin it! I hate Elon Musk. I hate him. I mean, there’s normal hate, and then there’s Elon Musk hate. I just think that there’s other topics of conversation we can have, okay?
SPEAKER 13 :
She’s so good. Conservative mama on X. You should follow her. But that’s true. She’s really right. I mean, that’s parody, but it does fit, right? There’s normal hate and there’s Elon hate. Is it fair to say they hate it? Do you know what’s going to happen? When they finally get the Starship or Starlink or whatever it is, Starburst, they get the Elon rocket out into space and they rescue the stranded astronauts? Now, I don’t even understand that story. I saw a quick headline today when I was getting ready for the show. I think it was over at the Daily Mail saying that the reason the astronauts are stranded is because Biden didn’t want to go rescue them because he thought it would make Trump look good. Now, I don’t quite understand that. Maybe you can explain it to me. Maybe you can make me understand it, but do you know how epic it’s going to be if Donald Trump and Elon Musk go rescue the stranded astronauts? Oh, my gosh. I’m just having more fun than… It should be legal to have. 800-655-MIKE. How about you? It’s Merry Christmas in March. Every day gets better and better and better. And I want to share with you why Hugh Hewitt argues, our colleague here at Salem, that the shutdown, the Schumer shutdown, is going to benefit the Trump administration. Let’s see what you think. I hope you jump aboard and join us. 800-655-MIKE. Call or text, but I want to put your voice front and center. Can you help me understand the astronaut story? And guess what? This will be off-the-charts epic if Trump and Elon save the astronauts. How are they going to spin that one? How are they going to make Trump look bad on that? 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. Join us. I just got the daily report for our Food for the Poor campaign. Look, if the new kid on the block, Chris DeGaulle, beats us in the campaign, I’m in big trouble. I’m giving up. You can’t let that happen. If you like what we do… Because we’re all doing this together, this Food for the Poor campaign. I’m going to give you the phone number that I didn’t give you a moment ago. I just need 400 people to pop in 100 bucks. Let’s get 100 people today to donate $100. Food for the Poor. This is what we do. We do this a few times a year. And here’s the phone number that I left out before. If you want to make a phone call, have your credit card standing by and call Food for the Poor. 844-860-HOPE. That’s 844-860-4673. Or you can go to mikeonline.com, click on that banner at the top of the page, or just text the keyword food to 800-655-MIKE, and we’ll send you back the link. And thank you, thank you, thank you for supporting our Food for the Poor campaign. Come on, let’s get there. Come on, 400 people. Wouldn’t it be amazing? How astounding would it be if I could touch the hearts of 400 people, maybe even you, Ed, in Naples? Instead of being grumpy at me, feed starving children. Clothe the naked. Feed the hungry. Partner with the Christian ministry. All I need is 400 people to donate 100 bucks, and we’re there. We’ve got our goal. Maybe we could do it today. Go to MikeOnline.com. Click on the banner or call 844-860-HOPE. Call 844-860-4673. However you reach out, I do hope you’ll join me as folks just like you all over America step up to help our friends at the Christian nonprofit international relief organization, Food for the Poor. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
SPEAKER 12 :
The Mike Gallagher Show. They’ve been funding all kinds, whether we’re talking about terrorism on campuses, the pro-Hamas terrorists, whether we’re talking about these attacks on Tesla, whether we’re talking about what’s happened at people’s homes, the justices’ homes of the Supreme Court, for instance. All of that is AstroTurf left-funded garbage.
SPEAKER 15 :
In the ReliefFactor.com studios, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 13 :
I don’t know if Joey Hudson is getting some flack over his allegation that the Starlink system… is too delayed, at least for what we need it to be. Teresa’s internet is down again in South Carolina about the second or third time this week. And I said, let’s get her a Starlink. Joey said, I don’t know. There’s a lot of latency, a lot of delay. Here’s from New York. Any satellite system, as you know, There’s always a delay. Any digital system also has a degree of delay. Nothing is truly live anymore if it starts or goes through a digital process. You know, it’s one of the things I get frustrated about when I take callers. I broadcast from all over the country. When I’m in Florida… there always seems to be a delay, a slight delay, a latency when I talk to callers. And when that happens, we kind of step on each other because we’re interrupting each other because there’s not a natural, organic, like normally when you talk to somebody and somebody else talks and they kind of interrupt you, but then you stop. But I don’t think the caller hears me necessarily in live time. But the other day when I think it was in New York, it seemed fine. And I have gone, I’ve made the team crazy over these latency issues because, first of all, Eric, if it’s on the air, it’s okay for Eric. He’s like, okay, it’s on, I can hear it. And I’m like, no, but there’s a delay. And I feel like I’m crazy because I can’t get anybody to explain it. I mean, to understand it. I can’t explain it the right way. There’s something about those latency delay issues that, and I know it because I love calls. And by the way, why aren’t we jammed right now? This should be an easy one. Come on. Who’s going to get blamed for the shutdown? 800-655-MIKE. Is Hugh Hewitt right? It’s going to benefit Trump. Democrats are going to fall. flat on their face over this one. They’re going to absolutely get buried on this. But let me know, one open line. You’ll see what I mean when you hear my conversations with callers. There’s just this slight latency. So when I said we ought to get Teresa a Starlink, Joey said there’s a delay. Here’s Louisville, Kentucky. Mike, I just got Starlink yesterday. It’s super, super fast. I love it. But isn’t Starlink really for Internet when you’re sort of in a remote location and you don’t have access? To the Wi-Fi systems? I mean, look, I’m kind of a Luddite with some of this crap. I don’t know what I’m doing, but I try to figure it out along the way, huh? Try to do the best I can do. Portions of our show brought to you by our friends at Job Creators Network. There’s a lot of excitement in Washington, D.C. as we start the year. A lot of excitement about a whole bunch of stuff going on. But I want to tell you about something happening outside the Beltway, a revolution in the states called the Education Freedom Movement. It’s real. It’s growing. It’s growing because some states are putting parents in charge of the education of their kids. We all know education has the power to change a child’s life. Any of us who’ve raised children knows that each has different needs, learning styles, God-given talents. The truth is parents know their kids best. They know what’s best for their development and their future. Education freedom legislation puts parents, not zip codes and politicians, in charge of these important family decisions. It’s why I strongly support making universal education freedom a reality for every single person. parent in every single state. Learn where your state legislature stands and make sure your voice is heard. Go to educationfreedomusa.com, educationfreedomusa.com. That’s educationfreedomusa.com. Dave’s in Columbus, Ohio. Dave, do you think Hugh is right that the Democrats think they’re going to hurt Trump with the shutdown, but it’s really going to benefit President Trump? You think he’s correct?
SPEAKER 08 :
I agree with you. I had him on yesterday on my radio when he was talking about that. And when you think about it, Chuck Schumer is doing the Republicans’ work for them. Because Schumer coming out and saying we’re going to shut it down, he might as well just put up billboards all across the United States saying, hey, this is going to be on me. And it’s like, duh. When you think about it, If there is a shutdown, and you know it, I know it, and the man on the moon knows it, that it’s not the end of the world. Essential workers will still be there. The checks will still go out. But it will expose all the non-essential positions that are more or less shut down, and that’s going to give Elon Musk even more ammunition. as far as any kind of, you know, fat that needs to be trimmed and so on and so forth. But the Democrats keep shooting themselves in the foot. That’s right.
SPEAKER 13 :
That’s what they’re doing. They’re doing it over and over again. They are shooting themselves in the foot continually, and they’re too dopey to get out of the way of themselves. Van Jones is right. They’re screwed right now. I’m quoting Van Jones. I don’t like talking that way on the air, but they’re screwed. They don’t know. They’ve got no answers. They’ve got no path forward. Now we’ve got three Democrat senators who aren’t going to be running for re-election in swing states. They may very well be a Republican candidate. Victory in the midterms, which will defy conventional wisdom. Hey, Christian, can you find the Schumer shutdown announcement yesterday? Let’s get Chuck Schumer’s announcement bragging about, well, essentially shutting down the government, that they won’t vote for the continuing resolution. There’s only one reason they won’t vote. Look, a lot of Republicans don’t like this CR. There’s a lot of spending attached to it, but you’ve got to walk before you can run. You’ve got to get this passed in order to get to the next step when you’re going to eradicate the Biden agenda. So we’ll get the Schumer shutdown on record for you. And Mike Johnson put it perfectly. Speaker Johnson said, look, Schumer’s going to own this. He’s got a decision to make. If he can’t find seven Democrats to vote with the Republicans tomorrow, it’s the Schumer shutdown. And again, Speaker Johnson has sort of boxed Schumer in big time. Here’s Howard in Oklahoma City. Hey, Howard, welcome to the Mike Gallagher Show.
SPEAKER 06 :
Thank you, Mike. And you’re exactly right. Speaker Johnson, this is this continuing resolution is brilliant because it paints the Democrats in a corner. If they vote for it, then they vote for border security and continuing the work of Doge and such. If they vote against it. Then they put the OMB in charge, and they accelerate the work of Doge. So they can’t win either way.
SPEAKER 13 :
Wow. That’s right. They’re in a no-win. What are they going to do? You know what they can do, Howard? They’ll spin it, and they’ll lie. Because that’s what they do. They gaslight. They just say, up is down, right is left. You know, they just make stuff up. That’s all they can do.
SPEAKER 06 :
Well, it’s biblical. It’s the calling good evil and evil good.
SPEAKER 13 :
Amen. I say that all the time. You’re right. Glad you called. Andre’s in Florida. Hey, Andre, welcome to the show. How are you?
SPEAKER 07 :
I’m good. How are you?
SPEAKER 13 :
I’m good. I’m going to look. I’m getting better every day. It feels like the good news just keeps coming for our side.
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, for sure. You know, I got to say, I agree with you on everything. You know, the The Democratic people, they want to keep on putting ruts in the way and it makes sense for, you know, what they are planning on doing. And it’s really a shame and it’s really our spite. And, you know, it’s really disappointing. But, you know, you think about it, it’s really bad. And, you know, if there’s an evil that’s trying to do evil work, you know, this is just plain evil. plain truth right here.
SPEAKER 13 :
Alright, thanks Andre. Appreciate your comments very much. One open line, 800-655-MIKE, 800-655-6453. The great Scott Jennings was on fire last night on CNN. when they were all ripping Elon and ripping Tesla. You understand, if we conservatives went around damaging some well-known progressive brand, like, I don’t know, Ben & Jerry’s is the only one that comes to mind, but I know there are many. Starbucks. If people went around vandalizing Starbucks or any big, well-known progressive entity, That would be the lead story and all we would hear every hour of every day. Teslas get destroyed. Tesla dealerships get damaged. Well, that’s just a form of free speech. Uh-uh. No, it’s not. No more than the Palestinian lover. This Mahmoud Khalil is exercising free speech. And incidentally, wait till you hear the brilliant way Marco Rubio explained that situation. We’ve got a lot of great things coming up. By the way, welcome in to everybody watching us on Salem News Channel. I mean, we’re on such a variety of platforms. SPEAKER 03 :
Me and you.
SPEAKER 13 :
Ph.D. weight loss has changed my life, and I’ve got a little secret for you. You know Big Pharma and semaglutide and the shots in the belly. You’ve seen the story recently about the study that shows that a lot of people that are getting this are going blind. You don’t want to do this. SPEAKER 15 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior. From the Relief Factor Studios, here’s Mike Geller.
SPEAKER 13 :
I just can’t get over the optics of all the things that are making our side look better. Kurt Schlichter wrote a commentary over on Town Hall about Trump’s superpower. You want to know what it is? There was Susan Sarandon out there screeching in support of this anti-Israel activist, Mahmoud Khalil. Trump has this crazy ability to get his opponents to go to the darkest places imaginable. And the craziest, most out-of-touch positions, fathomable. It’s true. Kurt is so right about this. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. Look, the government shutdown is coming, and it’s the Schumer shutdown. Schumer’s bragging about it. Here was Chuck Schumer yesterday sort of bragging, gloating about the Democrats’ ability to shut down the government and deprive a lot of people of their paychecks.
SPEAKER 09 :
the democratic leader funding the government should be a bipartisan effort but republicans chose a partisan path drafting their continuing resolution without any input any input from congressional democrats because of that Republicans do not have the votes in the Senate to invoke cloture on the House CR. Our caucus is unified on a clean April 11th CR that will keep the government open and give Congress time to negotiate bipartisan legislation that can pass.
SPEAKER 13 :
Now, he’s lying. All they want to do is jam it up with a bunch of crazy progressive things. And the Republicans in the majority won’t do it. But you need 60 votes in the Senate. And they’re going to have to get a handful of Democrats to go along with this. And Schumer, you heard him. Republicans don’t have the votes. It’s going to be the Schumer shutdown. Now, the Schumer shutdown… will inevitably be blamed on Donald Trump and Elon Musk. Don’t forget the hatred they have for Elon all of a sudden, after they loved him. Hugh Hewitt, who I was just sadly told was sidelined with a bad cold, Hugh Hewitt, Hugh in the sickbed because of the grandkids. He said it was like walking into a Petri dish. And I know that feeling. Any grandparent knows with the kids, the kiddos, how you can get sick from that. So I hope Hugh is feeling better soon. But I was texting back and forth with him a little bit, thanking him for this great analysis of the shutdown. Because Hugh argues this shutdown is going to benefit Trump. Big time. Because of what… he and Doge are doing with paring back the wasteful, abusive spending. Listen to what Hugh wrote on X yesterday. If the Senate Democrats shutter most of the government by voting down the continuing resolution, they will empower President Trump, Elon Musk, and Russ Vogt, the Commerce Secretary, to pair the federal government workforce to its genuinely essential size. most of which will be at DOD, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security, DOJ. The entitlement checks will still go out. Don’t worry, you’re still going to get your Social Security checks. You’re still going to get all the entitlement checks. But everything else will stop. Employees won’t get paid. And what Hugh argues is, I suspect, he says, that more than half… of the 2.1 million civilian federal employees will never come back to work after a government shutdown. In other words, Hugh makes the case that this shutdown, inflicted by Schumer and the Democrats in the Senate, will deliver the gift of of a pared-down federal government that Trump so diligently is striving to achieve. They’re going to give Trump what he wants. And they’re too obstinate to realize it. There could be a big and lasting break. with our out-of-control federal bureaucracy. And it’s going to be delivered by the Democrats. Look, they delivered Trump’s victory. I love the guy. I appreciate the policies. I’m a Republican. I don’t like everything that goes on, of course. Nobody does. But I’m a very satisfied customer. But I also am, I think, perceptive enough to know that the Democrats have been completely… broken, and they did it to themselves. They’re so out of touch with the American people that even 34 felony convictions couldn’t stop people from crawling over broken glass to cast a ballot for Donald Trump. The Democrats did that with their weaponization of the justice system, with their lawfare, with the goofy attempts to take a misdemeanor bookkeeping error and turn it into 34 felony convictions. with the civil courts in New York awarding some eccentric writer hundreds of millions of dollars for something that she claimed happened years ago. He said, she said. These crazy cases that were turned into doing everything they could to inflict as much damage as possible upon Donald Trump. And the other thing that worries me Deeply is how people have been totally brainwashed into believing the media narratives. Here was Laura Ingraham last night reminding everybody to stay calm, take big deep breaths. Yep, we’re going to have some pain. We’re going to have some short-term pain, but we’re going to get long-term gain.
SPEAKER 02 :
Isn’t it great to have an optimistic president who has a real plan to make life better for Wall Street and Main Street? Just ignore the sky is falling reports in the regime press. Tune out the breathless reporting about market gyrations because even the most dedicated globalists, they know Trump is good for business. For decades, ours has been an economy driven by government stimulus, a lot of printing and borrowing of money, government spending, government giveaways. And Trump knows our survival, though, requires a return to an economy by private sector productivity, the way it used to be. That’s why the playing field in global trade has got to be level.
SPEAKER 13 :
Isn’t he right? Isn’t she right? Isn’t Trump right? Isn’t he right when he says we’ve got to have a level playing field? And look… The reactions from the Democrats are benefiting Republicans. If the Democrats had a measured, reasonable, thoughtful critique, okay. They don’t. They’re losing their marbles. Did you see the representative from Connecticut? This representative, John Larson? Check out this guy. There’s some committee… on Capitol Hill that wanted Elon to testify. Elon, of course, isn’t going to be harangued by a bunch of wild-eyed Democrats. So this guy didn’t take it very well. Now, if you’re watching us today on Salem News Channel or on X, we’re streaming live on X every day, follow us at Gallagher Show. We’ll do our best to follow you back. We want to make sure you see the Salem News Channel wherever you can. We’re everywhere, Samsung TV+, 1177, Pluto, Roku, Apple TV, Google, and so much more. And again, live today on X. We love that, love the comments, love the interaction. Look, if you believe that these people can’t get any wilder, check out Congressman John Larson. Again, you may hear it on the radio only, but if you see it, this guy turns such a deep shade of purple and red, I thought the guy was going to have a stroke. I thought he was going to slump over right there in front of everybody. We’re an equal branch of government.
SPEAKER 16 :
And you start off with a blather, and yet we look at the empty seats here. Where’s Elon Musk? I’m sure he’s a genius and is a very credible person because of the wealth he’s accumulated. But that does not put him above the law or the responsibility to come before this committee in this Congress. If he’s so great, if these plans and all the fraud and abuse that he found are so eminent, why isn’t he here explaining it? You know why. Because he’s out to privatize Social Security. He’s been on television the last couple of days talking exactly about Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, and what he intends to do. Privatize it. The American people, some of them may have been born at night, but not last night.
SPEAKER 13 :
Strangest thing to watch this rage directed towards Elon Musk. They used to be that filled with rage towards Trump, but now it’s not Trump. Have you noticed? It’s like Elon Musk has replaced Donald Trump as their boogeyman. And I don’t know that Elon Musk has done anything worthy of that kind of a tirade. Do you? And it’s almost as if, and I’m no psychologist, but I love studying or trying to understand human behavior. I’m fascinated by Trump derangement syndrome. My friend Mark Davis puts it perfectly. Hatred of Trump, Trump derangement syndrome, makes smart people dumb, nice people mean. It turns nice people into snarling, mean idiots. It takes… smart people and makes them dumb. Well, it’s the same thing with the way Democrats are reacting to Elon Musk. How can you hate him as much as you do? And I think that’s real. I don’t think that guy’s acting. Maybe he is. Didn’t look like he was play-acting to me. I did. I thought he was going to slump over in front of God and everybody, right there at the table there. Well, he’s the new boogeyman. They want him to fail. They want Tesla to fail. They want all of his companies to fail. And it’s not going to happen. Now conservatives are lining up and Republicans and Trump supporters and buying Teslas. Anecdotally, apparently, yesterday they had one of their biggest sales days in months and months for Teslas. I think we’re going to get a Starlink for Teresa, our phone screener in South Carolina. She keeps having Internet problems because the cable folks keep cutting her cable because there’s construction in her neighborhood, and they keep taking her Internet down. I’m like, guys, we’ve got to have our great phone screener, and Teresa is wonderful. I’ve got this team. Let me take 20 seconds to thank Eric and Christian and Tracy and Teresa, the daily folks who bring you the show, Robert Haley, our wonderful engineer here in Tampa. Joe Weaver, Joey Hudson. We’ve got so many great people. I’m surrounded. I’m blessed to be surrounded by just terrific, terrific people. And we’ve got to get her Internet working. Well, I want to get her a Starlink. Why not? I looked it up last night, or looked it up actually a few minutes ago as well. It’s like $80 a month for residential coverage to have better Internet. Why not? But isn’t it crazy to see the way the tide has turned? What the left used to love, now they hate. And now we’re lifting up, our side is lifting up, what they used to extol. Electric vehicles, Elon Musk, and Tesla. And final point before I turn it over to you, and I do hope you’ll join us, but I know I’ve got a big mouth and I’m running on a lot tonight. You know what I love? Do you realize how epic it’s going to be If Trump and Elon Musk go rescue those astronauts who’ve been stranded by NASA. I brought this up to my buddy Mark Davis. Now, he don’t say anything bad about NASA to Mark. Oh, I think that’s a little overblown that Biden had those astronauts stranded. Why didn’t he get them? Why didn’t NASA get them months ago? They were supposed to be up there for a week. They’ve been stranded out in space, lost in space. There goes Elon Musk going to save the day. They had a setback last night. I guess they’re going to launch tomorrow and they’re going to go get him. I think you watch. Trump will hold a ticker tape parade for him. A ticker tape parade down Wall Street. 800-655-MIKE. 20 past the hour. Join us here in the Relief Factor Studios. 800-655-6453. SPEAKER 15 :
He’s the happy conservative warrior. From the Relief Factor studios, here’s Mike Deller.
SPEAKER 13 :
So many great things to cover. The Schumer shutdown is coming. Mike Johnson is saying, I don’t know what their beef is. Well, we all know what their beef is. They want to try to disrupt the Trump administration’s success. There are so many great things to revel in right now. It’s amazing. It’s astounding, really. Inflation is dropping like a rock since Trump came into office. The business community is ecstatic. We understand there’s going to be ups and downs in the stock market. Inflation, the cost of living, that’s what matters. Can you afford groceries? That’s why Trump was elected. Can you pay the rent? How about the no taxes on tips and no taxes on Social Security? Look, I’m at that mindset. I’m getting Social Security. I applied and I turned 65 in a few weeks. Full disclosure, I will not be here for my birthday. This is going to be a biggie. I’m all right. I’m okay. You know, I have good days, bad days. I don’t like getting old. I don’t like to think I’m 65. I don’t like to think I’m going to have a Medicare card in my pocket. Thank goodness I got Chapter that navigated that for me. And I know what I’m doing with Plan A and Plan B or Part A, Part B, whatever it is. But look, I think about Social Security. And what is it going to look like when I’m retired whenever that happens? No tax on Social Security? You know what that means to seniors? Do you know what that means? You know, if you’re of my age, you think, what does it take to live on? How many years, provided God gives me 20, 25 more years on this planet, what do I need every month, every week, every year to live on? And if seniors didn’t pay taxes on Social Security, which is, of course, stupid, because you paid into Social Security all these years. You were taxed through the nose all these years. Now you’ve got to pay tax on what you’re giving back to yourself? No taxes on tips? You know what men and women of the hospitality industry think of that? No tax on overtime? And if the Democrats shut the government down tomorrow, the guy who nailed this is Hugh Hewitt, our Salem colleague and friend. Hugh points out, that this will be a pivotal moment for a big and lasting break with an out-of-control federal bureaucracy. Hughes’ point is, this is going to empower Trump to pare the federal government workforce down to where it should be. Hughes says, don’t be surprised. if more than half of the 2.1 million civilian federal employees never come back to work. I want you to hear an exchange on CNN with Mr. Wonderful, as he’s known, Kevin O’Leary, the guy from Shark Tank. And he’s on with Abby Phillips. Now, Abby Phillips, who’s supposed to be, I think, objective. She’s not objective. Listen to the way she interrupts him. It’s crazy because he is giving a reasonable, eloquent, articulate explanation. about tariffs and the economy, talking gobbledygook. And she interrupts him saying, I don’t want people to be confused. Nobody was confused until you got in the way, Abby. Listen to this. This is amazing.
SPEAKER 10 :
Stock markets correct about every 18 months as much as 10 to 20 percent. We’re right in the middle of that right now. It’s actually healthy. I mean, it feels terrible when it’s occurring, but corrections have been part of the market for 150 years. So let’s get over that. Let’s talk about the policy. Tariffs in this situation are not long-term yet. Even Ludnick today said he’s having the premier of Ontario tomorrow morning for discussions to bring down the heat on car and electricity issues. The challenge with Canada, which we just talked about, is they have no leader. Trudeau was kicked out on Sunday night at midnight. They’re going to have a new leader in 90 days. Litnick himself said this morning, let’s wait till the new person who’s going to be prime minister is in place and start a pan-Canadian negotiation. Now, tariffs themselves, nobody understands. If you ask the average person walking down the street, what’s a tariff? They have no idea. What Trump is trying to do is to reset the tariff schedules that were set in place after the Second World War in every single country, not just Canada, not just Mexico, but Germany and England and France and Switzerland and India. So it’s very simple. Let’s say we make sugar as we do and India makes sugar and they put 110 percent tariff on our sugar going to India. Why don’t we just reciprocate? So what happens in a trade war where tariffs are escalated is when both sides say to each other.
SPEAKER 01 :
I do want to distinguish between what you’re talking about, reciprocal tariffs, which he’s promised. That’s coming April 2nd. Yeah, right. He’s promised are coming. And what has actually been happening now, which is that Trump claims that they’re going to be massive across the board tariffs on two countries that we have a trade agreement with.
SPEAKER 10 :
I know you don’t like Trump’s style.
SPEAKER 01 :
No, no, no. You haven’t liked it for 12 years. I don’t want people to be confused, is what I’m saying, about what we’re talking about here. What the markets are reacting to right now is Trump saying 25% on Mexico and Canada, and then the next day saying, oh, never mind, 50% on steel and aluminum.
SPEAKER 13 :
It’s amazing to me. It’s negotiating. It’s what Trump does. It’s the art of the deal. But Democrats are in a blind fury over Trump wanting an even playing field. He wants an even playing field with Canada, Mexico, and China, and India, and every other country that we trade with. We have borne the brunt of this for too long. Christian, play the clip of the TikToker or whoever it was. We love this. I saw this and I wanted to share this. You’ve got the number. I love this. This is this. It was just a woman, some random woman, furious at what we’re learning about the wasteful spending in the government.
SPEAKER 11 :
News. I’m done. I’m done. I don’t care who says I sound stupid. I don’t care. I am no longer a piggy bank for the United States federal government. Period. Period. You hear me? I am no longer a piggy bank for them. I am done. I can’t physically or mentally hear of another post on X or another press release in the news about how Doge has uncovered another $4.7 trillion unaccounted for. When I heard that last night, I am like, are you kidding me right now? Because I know you out there have a story where the IRS either attached your wages, seized your assets, like, Where the government has done something to you. Where they came after you for more money when you are already paying through the freaking nose. Okay? And all of these Congress people that do all of this insider trading and stuff. No. They’re sitting in plushy mansions not paying a percentage of the taxes that we pay out here. And I’m in my trailer. The amount of taxes that my husband and I pay is like two other people’s whole incomes, okay? I don’t want to be a piggy bank for the federal government any longer, and you shouldn’t either. We should be in the streets right now protesting and demanding a damn tax halt. A tax halt. And I don’t care if the states suffer. I don’t care if the federal government suffers. Because what I found out they’re doing with my tax dollars, they’re doing a study on garment workers in India to see if they’re sad. And I’m wondering what I can go without with this week. Groceries or gas? No. No. I am not a piggy bank for the federal government anymore. And you should feel the same damn way out there. I can’t hear it anymore. I can’t hear it anymore. We need to do something. Something needs to be done. We need a tax halt. You hear me, President Trump?
SPEAKER 13 :
I love that. I love these videos. I see these and I always want to try to play as many of them for you as I can. She’s so right. I don’t want to be a piggy bank for the federal government anymore. And she’s right. We paid for a study, and I saw that a couple of days ago, to determine if garment workers in India are sad. I can bring that to a conclusion. I’m going to suspect that garment workers in India have a degree of sadness. End of study. No taxpayer dollars required. Again, I’m thinking like a senior. I guess I’m officially a senior now, right, or about to be when I’m 65. And I think, what am I going to be like when I’m 80? I don’t know how long I’m going to do this. Who knows? I want to do it for as long as I can, as long as my health holds out. And you never know what happens. We’ve shared with you that we’re praying continually for Dennis Prager, paralyzed from the neck down. It’s not a secret now, or never was a secret, but there wasn’t a lot of detail. But now, of course, the family has revealed the extent of his injuries. And Dennis, who is paralyzed, can’t. very likely coming back. Hugh told me when that first happened, if Dennis can speak, he’ll be okay. He loves his audience. He loves his show. He loves his connection with the American people. But here’s a guy, a slip in the shower, and everything changes, just like that. So who knows what happens in any of our lives? But I think about, all right, if I’m 83 or I’m 80 years old and I’m getting this amount of money in Social Security and then I get taxed on that monthly check and President Trump wants to eliminate taxes on Social Security. Why wouldn’t Democrats be on board with that? How could you not be? That’s what that lady said. You should be mad too. at the wasteful government spending. This should not be a partisan debate. It shouldn’t be this way. But it is. And so we’ve got to just deliver a better message. Chris DeGaulle, I’m surrounded by smart people, Hugh and Larry and Charlie and so many great folks that I get to work with. Chris DeGaulle, tweeted or posted, Republicans are offering, much to many conservatives’ chagrin, a fully funded government through September. Schumer wants to shut down the government unless we agree to fight about this again in 30 days. Hey, Republicans, this has never been easier to message. Chris is spot on. It’s the Schumer shutdown. And this time, Americans are going to know it. Look, as Hugh Hewitt pointed out, A shutdown is going to benefit one side, ours. Trump is going to get what he wants because about half of the 2.1 million civilian federal workers who are going to be impacted by a government shutdown, they’re not coming back. And Trump and Elon are going to get their wish. And the Democrats are unwittingly going to play right into Trump’s hands. Incidentally, back to the Social Security issue for a moment. Portions of the Mike Gallagher Show sponsored by Chapter because the Medicare maze, I’ve been hearing this for months and months. Medicare is complicated. Chapter is different because they make Medicare simple. I mean, they’ve had premiums for plans dropped on average 34%. There’s so many choices. Chapter is the only national Medicare advisor that searches every plan to find the one that’s perfect for you. So if you’re like me, about to turn 65, or even if you’re over 65, call Chapter to get peace of mind. They help find coverage within your network, and they’re not embedded with the insurance companies. They work for you. They’re advocating for you. That’s why Chapter is different. It’s a great company, and I’ve loved getting to know Ari and the team at Chapter. You will, too. Grab your phone. Dial pound 250. When you’re prompted, just say the keyword Medicare. Dial pound 250. And when prompted, just say Medicare. Don’t let big insurance make the decision for you. Take control. Call Chapter today.

Well, for a good meal. And we’re going to pick out, what do we want to do?
SPEAKER 17 :
We want to do Italian, Mexican, any American? We’ll leave, we’ll leave. That’s all you, baby.
SPEAKER 13 :
All right, so the dates, but we’ll work with you on the dates because here’s the thing. What’s going to be cool about this is we’re going to be able to give people choices because if we do get a good response, now this is going to be a little bit of a headache for poor Tracy, but we’ll figure it out. If we get a good response, because we can’t have too many people at once, so we’ll have maybe a couple of dates. So if we have a couple of dates, we’ll give you some options, and we’ll pull it all together. So anyway, text right now if you’re interested, and you’ve got to be all in. Like you said, we won’t take your money now, but Tracy will show you how to process it, and you’ll be making a tax-deductible donation to literally saving children’s lives all over the world, feeding starving kids. It’s a beautiful Christian ministry called Food for the Poor. I knew I was going to forget it. You do yours, I’ll do mine. Go. Yours is 800-655-6453.
SPEAKER 17 :
Or 866-660-5759. Say, I’m in for the Market Mike lunch. And then give us just your name. We got your number already. And then Tracy, your producer, will be in touch.
SPEAKER 13 :
We’ll track you down later today. We’ll give you a call and she’ll reach you. Is there a rumor that maybe Kent and Melinda may come back?
SPEAKER 17 :
I think we have repeat offenders.
SPEAKER 13 :
I love that. But that’s a great testimony to how great the lunch was.
SPEAKER 17 :
It’s also a great testimony to geography because I apparently live, Lisa and I live miles from them. We ran into them at a restaurant six hours after we’d been at lunch.
SPEAKER 13 :
That’s so cool.
SPEAKER 17 :
And then ran into them again. That’s so cool. And I went ahead and let out of the bag. I said, you know, we’re probably doing this again. They said, well, we’re in. I said, are you serious?
SPEAKER 13 :
Well, I just got a text that confirms that they’re in. So how about that? There you are. So they’re back. All right. So this is cool.
SPEAKER 17 :
It’s the power of the experience. So there we go.
SPEAKER 13 :
So everybody do that. I hand it off to you. It’s the Mark Davis magic. All right. Let’s get down to business. Speaking of the Mark Davis magic, I got to get you to give me some clarity on some things, space boy. Ready. I can’t even find out what’s going on with the astronauts stranded in space that Elon now is going to rescue. Now, first of all, if that plays out that way, after it has been reported that Biden left them stranded because Biden didn’t want Trump to look good while running for president, That was the whole narrative. Not sure if that’s even true or not. I don’t even know.
SPEAKER 17 :
I think it’s overstated.
SPEAKER 13 :
Okay, okay. But why didn’t Biden get them? Why didn’t they get them last year? They were supposed to be up there, as I understand it, for a week. This is, by the way, right up there with the Infowars guy being killed, one of the most underreported stories I’ve ever come across, Mark. I mean, the mainstream media isn’t all over this story, is it? I mean, first of all…
SPEAKER 17 :
We know that Butch Wilmore and Sonny Williams have been up there. It was supposed to be a week. It was the Boeing Starliner that they thought, uh-oh, we got doubts on whether this thing will come back safely. They brought it back without people, and it was fine. So they would have been fine, but we didn’t know. Can’t have people die reentering the Earth. We did that once, and it didn’t work out well. And so they were stuck up there. They’ve been up there for months. So now the crew of four people, two NASA astronauts, both women, thank you very much, and a Japanese guy and a Russian guy were due to go up last night. They had a hydraulic thing on the ground, so it got scrubbed. They’re apparently now going to go tomorrow night. Tomorrow night, Friday. Ultimately, they’ll be up there for about six months, but they will also feature a return of Butch and Sonny after months and months and months. Could NASA have gotten on it a little more quickly? Maybe. Maybe. Did Biden intentionally… prevent that i’m skeptical because to what end to to what end well uh the the what i with the daily mail reported is biden was fearful that it would make trump look good i don’t know how does it make trump look good for him to bring them back uh three months ago
SPEAKER 13 :
Not sure I understand, but I will tell you this. Do you recognize the enormity of Elon Musk’s technology bringing them back when NASA couldn’t do it?
SPEAKER 1 :
100%.
SPEAKER 13 :
Mark, Mark, do you know what that’s going to look like? And, of course, how are they going to spin this one? What are they going to say? And Trump’s going to take credit because he’s doing it. He’s got his right-hand man.
SPEAKER 17 :
Now it’s what’s going to benefit Trump. When these guys go up and this rescue happens during the Trump presidency, that’s the thing that’s going to reflect, well, on trump and once again every day every day i get 50 pages deeper into the walter isaacson biography of of musk i understand him more now and he’s a fascinating duck we talked about it yesterday he is the most important private sector human being in the history of the united states
SPEAKER 13 :
No question about it. And speaking of making Trump look good, how about, I loved Hugh Hewitt’s analysis on X about a government shutdown. And it’s going to happen. Look, they’re not going to get six or seven Democrats to vote for this continuing resolution tomorrow. It’s not going to happen. Schumer’s already said, we’re not going to pass it. So it’s the Schumer shutdown. Here’s what Hugh said. If the Democrats shutter most of the government by voting down the CR, they will empower President Trump, Elon Musk… And Russ, vote for that matter to pair the government, the federal government workforce to its genuinely essential size, most of which will be a DOD, CIA, NSA, Homeland Security, DOJ. The entitlement checks will still go out, but everything else will stop. Employees won’t get paid. And I suspect this time those who are recalled to work eventually won’t get any back pay. POTUS should keep the lost cause, high value, high visibility stuff like the Washington Monument, Mount Rushmore parking lot, etc. open, will not punish the citizenry as Obama did, but a long shutdown will reveal what we must have and what can be cut. In other words, this could be an absolute blessing a government shutdown can give Trump
SPEAKER 17 :
exactly what he’s trying to achieve, Mark. We have always, as conservatives, said with a big dollop of wishful thinking that government shutdowns might kind of be good for us because it sort of shows, it’ll show the public that we can, that a smaller, pared-down government is really good. And it simply never worked out that way.
SPEAKER 13 :
Never worked that way.
SPEAKER 17 :
Because of the poisonous media culture, government shutdowns have always, always, always hurt us to some degree, even if only temporarily. This one, you’re 100% correct. It could make exactly… the points that we want to make.
SPEAKER 13 :
It’s different this time, Mark. It’s different. And I am just absolutely thrilled. And by the way, 30 seconds, we haven’t talked about Gene Hackman. You and I haven’t talked about this at all. They reveal that she died of a weird, rare virus from rat feces. And then she dies, and he has apparently advanced Alzheimer’s.
SPEAKER 17 :
So he didn’t even know that she’s dead in the house. So fair or unfair, Gene Hackman has grown kids. He’s got Alzheimer’s. He’s 95. Nobody’s calling that house.
SPEAKER 13 :
That’s what didn’t make any sense to me. I’ll tell you what. When I read that, I called all four of my kids. I mean, I haven’t talked to them in a while.
SPEAKER 17 :
I’m already late. The audience wants to know, are you going to stop the ridiculousness? You know Gavin Newsom’s wrong about everything. Steve Bannon was as awesome on that thing as Charlie Kirk was. It’s nothing but great for conservatives to go on that show.
SPEAKER 13 :
You’re helping him. No, wrong. Helping him do what? Helping him run for president. What for? Helping him run for president. You’re helping him run for president. All he’s doing, he’s playing you, Mark. He’s playing you, and you’re falling for it.
SPEAKER 17 :
This is that weird mindset. Why do you hate Charlie Kirk and Steve Bannon? And I’m kidding.
SPEAKER 13 :
I love Charlie Kirk and Steve Bannon, but I tell you what.
SPEAKER 17 :
Why do you not love the opportunity for potentially millions of people to hear them make points that are better than Gavin Newsom? Why are you scared to death of Gavin Newsom? Why are you so petrified of him? Of hair gel boy.
SPEAKER 13 :
Because I hate people like Mark Davis making Gavin Newsom palatable. You’re making Gavin Newsom attractive. He’s still wrong. He’s still in it. It’s not at all. Well, look at me. I’m reaching out to conservatives, he says. Look at me. He’s trying to win people over, Mark. I don’t care. And you’re helping that.
SPEAKER 17 :
Take the number of people who will go, that Gavin Newsom might not be as much of an idiot as I thought. Take that number. It is 10 times larger, people watching that and saying, that’s Steve Bannon, that’s Charlie Kirk. They’re awesome. I win.
SPEAKER 13 :
When this comes up at lunch, we’ll have a food fight. We’ll start throwing tacos at each other. I’m going to go Real Housewives, knock the table over.
SPEAKER 17 :
I’m just going to get up and knock the whole table. 800-655-MIKE for Mike. 866-660-5759. All in for the lunch with Mark and Mike. Give us your name. I love you, man.
