SPEAKER 03 :
So why would you vote yes this time if typically you vote against something like this?
SPEAKER 06 :
Because this is the first time since I’ve been in Congress that we’ve decreased the size of government, literally. And if you add interest in, it’s even more. I mean, I’m sorry, inflation in, it’s even more. But it’s several billion. I think it’s around $20 or $30 billion, but it’s a start.
SPEAKER 03 :
So it doesn’t bother you that essentially what you would be voting for, though, are our spending levels that were agreed to by President Biden and Nancy Pelosi. Sure.
SPEAKER 06 :
I don’t like that one bit, but it is a reduction. And if and to shut the government down, I think just being politically the Democrats would they would. It shows the game of politics. The Democrats before when we were. shutting the government down. Now, this is the worst thing that ever happened. It’s the Republicans’ fault. But now they’re going to shut it down. They’re not going to vote for the CR, which is almost at the same levels as they passed under Schumer and Pelosi. Yeah, that’s what I don’t understand. And now that it’s on us, it’s like, oh, this is the worst thing in the world. And it’s just a game back and forth.
SPEAKER 21 :
This is, I think, one of the best ways to describe this, whatever this is, this CR. Because, again, I want to caution everybody. It’s not a bill. It’s a continuing resolution. So you’re continuing the, as you guys know, or should know all by now, just the current levels of spending. Yeah, and this goes to September 30th, goes all the way to September 30th. It includes things like, well, all the current levels of spending, right? And this I’m so tired of the excuses that I hear from so many Republicans because they say things like, well, you know, we don’t have the votes. Yes, you do. Actually, what you don’t have is a spine. You have the votes. You don’t have a spine. That’s what you lack. And this idea that if we just OK, more spending now. what that ultimately will do is free us up to spend less later. Now, I don’t know any reality in which that logic works, to be honest with you. I mean, I made the remark on social media. I said, you know, it kind of sounds like saying that, you know, you got to screw for chastity in a way. I mean, it’s kind of accurate. I think it’s entirely accurate. So this bill, like I said, it’s just a continuation. And there’s a huge fight over it on the right because there are a lot of Republicans who just do not have the spine. At all. They do not have the spine to deal with this. They are afraid of this narrative. I don’t know why they’re always afraid of government shutdown narratives. It is the one I just it mystifies me because it’s never in all of the years that Democrats have said this is going to hurt you Republicans. We’re going to you know, because I mean, they don’t say it in those official terms, but that’s Democrats clearly have no issues with a shutdown if they think that it can be used effectively. against their opponents and so this their political opponents so they’re fine with all of this they think it’s great they like a government they want more government spending they want to shut the government down to get more government spending that’s how they look at this and so i I understand the position that they’re in, but I also to a more greater extent understand the position of the taxpayer. And I mean, quite honestly, I’m so tired of hearing the excuse that they don’t have the votes. It’s not an issue of them having the votes. Like I said, it is absolutely an issue of them having the spine. And do they have this? Because they don’t. We all know this. This is the truth of the matter. So this is where we are. They’ve got to get this passed Friday. Is it Friday at midnight or is it Thursday at midnight? It’s Fridays when funding goes out. Yeah. Friday’s win is the last. That’s the day. That’s the budget day. That’s the B day. And so they’ve got to get it figured out by then. But I’m telling you, I’m so tired of these excuses. I’ve heard these excuses my whole life. Kane, you’ve heard these excuses your whole life. That you’ve just got to keep this going and then they’re going to fix it later. If you pass this now, they’re going to fix it later. And that’s It’s never happened. They said that with health care. Guys, I know you remember the health care fight. I know you do. I know you remember the fight over health care. They said that they were going to come back and they were going to remedy it. And it was never remedied. It was never remedied. So this is the big battle. Welcome to the program. Dana Lash with you this first hour. And this budget battle, the economy. I mean, we saw all of the headlines yesterday. If you get my newsletter… I had I didn’t my my only reason for including all of those headlines about bad the bad economy was to kind of show you the narrative that the media really wants to kick up because this is the same media that was ignoring how bad the economy was under Biden. So now that they’re doing a 180 super bad economy prior. And they pretended that it was great. They pretended that inflation didn’t exist. They pretended all of these things that, you know, you know, absolutely, you know what your what your bank account says. They were trying to pretend wasn’t real. Now it’s oh, my gosh, it’s too good. Look what Trump did. So they withheld all of their reporting about the economy under Biden. And they waited until Biden left office, waited until Trump was in office. Now it’s oh, my gosh, Cain, it’s so bad. it was can i just i’m not trying to be um what’s the word i’m looking for like unempathetic or callous or or insensitive sorry i’m not trying to be insensitive but correct me if i’m wrong it was a 1.1 percent dip that’s true that’s not a big dip no but it’s a dip it’s a dip but it’s not a big dip no It’s not, let’s go to the cellar and start getting out our canned goods dip, right? It’s not a, let’s, we immediately have to go and stuff all of our money in our mattresses kind of dip, right? It’s not a, oh my gosh, let’s get rid of Fiat. Let’s get our gold bars and get ready to start trading in bullion down at the market because the economy is, I mean, it’s not that bad of a dip, right? The reason I’m asking this is because the way the media made it sound like all day yesterday, and correct me if I’m wrong on any of this, which I’m pretty sure it’s just a rhetorical device as I’m always accurate. But it just seemed like the media wanted you to have a nervous breakdown in the grocery store aisle as you were pondering whether or not your account could take the hit of some fruitios. That’s honestly what it sounded like to me, right? I mean, just look at the headlines that I put in prep. And your prep email for your subscribers. Stock slump. No pain, no gain. Tax cuts. I mean, they’re on and on and on and on. There were a lot. Trump declines to rule out a recession. Now, remember, the economic downturn was already baked into our expectations. We were all aware of this. We knew what was going to happen. You can’t have it not happen after Biden because it’s just not going to work that way. Now, the other issue. Let’s talk about this one. Hoo boy. Maybe I should wait and dive into the Massey stuff because POTUS has said that he wants to go after Thomas Massey now. Thomas Massey, a member of Congress, is one of the, if not the, most conservative and consistent member in all of Congress. He is a treasure. And he also is against the CR. Because he says, as we all have, that there’s just way too much spending happening. And he’s right. There’s way too much spending. I don’t know why POTUS is coming at this from the left as opposed to the right. And what I mean by that is he’s criticizing Thomas Massey. He’s threatening to pull in his post up. He posted on… POTUS posted on Truth Social, and again, I’m going to dive into this here coming up. He posted on Truth Social that he wants to primary Thomas Massey. He says that Thomas Massey is not supportive of the CR and he wants to primary him. And people have been threatening to primary Thomas Massey for a long time. And I don’t know if you follow any of this at all. But I mean, he’s never he’s always done very well in his elections. People have always said that they were going to primary him if he didn’t do X, Y or Z. And it’s I just think it’s kind of silly because he’s the one who’s actually trying to implement the agenda that we voted for. POTUS’s agenda, by the way. What I don’t understand is why POTUS doesn’t why he’s coming at this from the left and why instead doesn’t he come at this from the right and go after the spineless Republicans that are refusing to do any, that are refusing to invoke meaningful cuts. These spineless Republicans that want to just continue until September 30 at the same level of spending as Biden, those sorts of Republicans. And I’m, you know, I’m just wondering what it would look like if POTUS sided with Massey And used all of his influence and all of his machine and all of that to go after big spending Republicans that are betraying voters, because if he threatened to primary those Republicans and he targeted weak Democrats into into giving up supporting votes that I mean, think of what that would look like. Trump has the influence to do it. I have no idea why he’s not. So we’re going to come back to that because I think criticizing Massey for wanting to implement this agenda. This is not what we we can’t do this. We can’t we can’t sit here and run defense for these weak Republicans who are refusing to cut spending or making make meaningful cuts or make tax cuts permanent. And they’re backing the CR that does nothing more than continue Biden’s same exact level of spending. I saw this lawmaker actually right before I came out, maybe three minutes before we started. And it was a lawmaker who said that, no, no, there’s some cuts in here. You know, there’s there’s there’s some cuts where we got some cuts in. That’s not at all. Actually, there’s not real quick, real quick scenario. If I have ten dollars. Say I have $10 and I need this $10 to last all week or I just am trying to spend the $10 within a week period. If I spend it all at once, that’s bad, right? That’s not a cut. I just spent all my money at once, right? I didn’t cut anything. I spent it. If I instead spend the $10 slower over an entire period of that week, is that a reduction in spending or did I just spend it slow? You see what I’m saying? I mean, very similarly, that’s kind of what’s happening in Congress. We’re going to discuss all of that. We’re also going to get into this debate over this student who is here on a green card. He has legal alien status, but he’s not a citizen. And he’s being deported because he was taking part The 30,000-foot view, he was taking part in pro-Hamas riots and going after Jewish students. But there’s a lot more to it than that because apparently he’s tied to a number of other groups. And he actually doesn’t meet the litmus test of the statutes. that you must meet in order to continue to stay here as a student we’re going to talk about all of that because there’s a lot of debate over it and i don’t know why because you’re a guest here he’s a guest here it’s like i can’t go to italy and participate in their you know political demonstrations i can’t go out and get on stage and start speaking i can’t go to mexico and do that why in the hell do people think that they can come here to the united states and do the same thing you’re a rude guest So we’re going to discuss all of that and more. So we’ve got that. We’re going to talk a little bit about some of the latest with education. I’ve seen the amazing changes Relief Factor has made for so many people. SPEAKER 21 :
A tornado hit a Florida TV station during a live weather broadcast. Now, I would say that this is like a Florida man story, but this is serious. This is weather. It’s people’s lives. This is crazy. We got a video of this. This is wild. Watch this. This is while they were in the middle of a broadcast and a tornado hit.
SPEAKER 04 :
Debris right now on the roof. Debris on the roof right now. We’re hearing, you can see the debris flying there on the camera. This is a tornado. Seek shelter immediately. Get under your desks, guys. Anchors under the desks. Everybody get on the desks.
SPEAKER 21 :
Okay, that was it. Can you imagine? We’ve never had anything like that with being on air, but still. That’s pretty crazy, right? Man, he was like keeping his cool the whole… Good job, weather dude. Meteorologist, good job. Hurricanes are shifting south. Everyone’s freaking out. I really don’t care. Let’s see. Happy husband or wife could be the key to a stress-free life. Well, I just how about a partnership where everybody’s, you know, making each other happy? How about that? Why do we have to do these huge, ridiculous deep dives into stuff? I’ve got questions. There’s no reason for it. Also, let’s see here. Texas, there’s a bill that would make identifying as trans a felony punishable by jail. This is something we’re going to talk about. There’s two Texas bills coming forward that we need to have a discussion of. And tech-obsessed humans could develop hunchbacks, claws, and smaller brains. These look exactly like my trolls. All of my haters look exactly like this. They’re all crunched over, saggy chests, all crunched over with a Meghan Markle claw, like all weird. That’s who they are. Those are my trolls right there. They created a 3D model of a future human that they called Mindy. And scientists say that people living in 2100 may have hunched backs from hours of sitting over computers and looking at their smartphones. And they probably have a permanent scowl on their faces from arguing with dumb people on the Internet. Just saying. Stick with us. We got a lot more coming up. The budget battle and Trump versus Massey. All Family Pharmacy is a great entity. I’ve used them several times. Your health is always in reach with All Family Pharmacy. They… The cool thing about it too is, for instance, I give the example of what was over the holidays. It was like over Thanksgiving. I was hosting. I was getting strep throat. I’ve had it a million times. I know exactly what it is. Urgent care, the one that was around me was already closed. It was after 10 o’clock. I mean, it was just rough. And I ordered medicine from All Family Pharmacy, had it overnighted, and was able to start my medicine literally the next day. It was like almost 10. Actually, it was like after 9. I think the urgent care closed at 9. And that’s what’s so great. I had azithromycin. They have over 200 medications. They have antibiotics. They have ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, all of the stuff, too, that Big Pharma was telling you that you don’t need. They got it. But it’s all made in the USA. We’re more focused on how we bring the price of eggs down and the avian bird flu for everyone. A good piece of news we just got in the last day or two is that the average cost of a dozen eggs has now gone down $1.85 since we announced our plan about a week and a half ago on February the 26th. So listen, we’re going into Easter season. This is always the highest price for eggs.
SPEAKER 21 :
Yeah, because everybody, we all dye our eggs. Well, I haven’t in a long time. And then deviled eggs. Don’t forget that. Welcome back to the program. Dana Lash with you, bottom of this first hour. So this was the agriculture secretary who’s saying that the average cost of a dozen eggs has now decreased. And all the Democrats, I don’t know if you’ve seen some of this, Democrats have been on social media going, how do they make this happen? Well, they waited for more chickens to be born. Oh, my gosh. What is so hard for them? Why can’t you understand this?
SPEAKER 14 :
Calm down for a moment.
SPEAKER 21 :
It’s true.
SPEAKER 14 :
You mean eggs can’t lay eggs?
SPEAKER 21 :
No, it’s wild. Isn’t that wild? That’s crazy. So they waited after they killed all these chickens because of the bird flu or whatever. Then they ended up, they waited and now they got more eggs. That’s literally like how it’s working. That’s how it works. I don’t know if people. But, you know, I’m writing a piece about this. And it’ll probably go out today, a little later today. Obviously, I can’t write it when we’re on air. But it’ll go out today on the… Newsletter over at Substack that gets into some of this, that gets into some of the, you know, the consternation, the fight that’s happening here behind behind scenes. I really do. I feel like Democrats do want to shut down. And this whole problem with like they were saying, well, the eggs, you know, look, they said eggs were going to go down day one. I will say that Republicans have got to have better messaging than just the whole ffff. Yeah, well, it’s going to suck for a little bit. Then it’ll get a little better. But it’s going to be it’s going to be bad. You know, we need better messaging than that. And I have to say, getting these congressional Republicans on air to answer those questions is like pulling teeth. Whatever. Can Kate take note? Every single one of these people that does not join because we’re everywhere. We have 10 million listeners on the reg. That’s just radio. It’s not even going into the digital aspect. We’re in every single state across the country. And we’re number one in the afternoon. I think everybody would like to hear… I’m not talking about doing it in a hostile fashion. I just want… someone to explain to me what your strategy is. I want to understand. I’m not trying to… Gotcha. I’m not trying to be a snot about it. You would know if I was. I’m just trying to kind of basically understand what the goal is here. And… None of them will come on. But you know what? Whenever they got books to sell or they have a stupid vanity proposal that they’re trying to get off the ground in Congress, guess who they call? Who they call, Cain?
SPEAKER 14 :
That’s right. They do call us. But in their defense, it is a busy time. It’s a busy time right now. They can join by phone. We’re a live show.
SPEAKER 21 :
Literally don’t care.
SPEAKER 14 :
So I’ve been reaching out and been following up and we’ll see what we can get. But yeah. I mean, we can read.
SPEAKER 21 :
Every single one who says no, they’re not allowed to come on to promote a book or a stupid vanity project. Every single one of them who do not. No, they are not coming on my airwaves to pimp for a book or anything else if they cannot come on and explain the strategy behind the big spending. We can do this. If we’re going to thug it out, we’re going to thug it through, y’all. That’s how we’re going to do it. I’ll match your energy. I’m done with these people. I’m done with it. So this, I just need one of them to do it. You can’t have the whole, well, yeah, it’s going to suffer a little bit. You can’t have that as messaging. They got to be, and they also need to be realistic. I get, I know what Trump was saying when he was like, we’re going to lower him day one. He wasn’t going to come into office day one and go, I mean, it’s phrasing, right? There are some people out there who are like, well, Trump said on day one, he was going to lower it.
SPEAKER 23 :
Look, he didn’t do it.
SPEAKER 21 :
guess he’s a liar and a fraud. I feel like those people weren’t going to like anything that he was going to do anyway. But you know what I’m saying? Egg prices are already, why is it eggs too? Like what? Maybe let’s look at the deficit. I don’t know. Let’s look at the government. They’re like eggs. Maybe that’s the most nearest, the nearest measure they have. I don’t know. But Republicans, this is one of the things, please, dear heavens, This is one of the things that I desperately wish that I could, with the power of my mind, manifest into reality. That Republicans realize what is happening in the minds of voters right now. Voters are seeing these headlines every single day because Doge is going in there and like, this is bad. This is bad. This is bad. And every one of these headlines is they’re all reminding taxpayers how much money was stolen from us. And this nonsense just further fuels the discontentment towards current messaging. Right. We’ve got to be really careful about this. They see we see this like the Doge subcommittee, the official Doge subcommittee tweeted, quote, let’s disappear under these. You know, we’re demanding full accountability. They have a whole list of things here. We see that and we’re like, are you kidding me? And they can’t make tax cuts permanent. We’re overtaxed with a government that overspends and you couple it with that nonstop headlines that detail, you know, the beginning of a tariff war. And I want to add something right now. Not every tariff is bad and not every tariff is good. I want everybody to go back to the beginning of this republic. It was the Tariff Act of 1789. And that was actually fairly instrumental in. in protecting a burgeoning American industry from stiff British competition. And I don’t have to go all the way back to that. I can even go as recently as the threat of a 25 percent tariff with Colombia, possibly higher unless they accepted and repatriated people from Colombia who had illegally entered the United States. And they weren’t going to do it. But then in less than an afternoon, guess what? Colombia did it. So when you leverage them and you look at them as a short-term tactic, I think you can make the case better. But like I said, not every tariff is bad and not every tariff is good. But you cannot do tariffs – and this is my big criticism – I’m not saying that I’m against it. What I’m questioning is the sequencing. I don’t understand why we’re doing it now when we could have done taxes first. Or is it because they think that there’s no realistic way to actually cut tax or to even do something as simple as make the 2017 tax cuts permanent? So they’re going to go ahead and they’re going to do this anyway. But you need to realize with that plan, you’re going to have a lot of people that are going to be saying, wait a minute, we’re starting to feel the pinch. We’re already feeling a pinch from inflation. Now it’s basically a double tax of inflation, and then you have tariffs, and then you don’t have the tax cuts made permanent. This is what I need for the love of all things holy, from my mouth to God’s ear, Republicans to understand. And I need them to articulate their messaging around this. Dear heavens, please. You’re killing my soul. Please help me help you. It’s so frustrating. So I this is why I get so aggravated over this Trump versus Massey thing. They’re not on the opposite team. They’re on the same side. And they have the same goals, even if they may have a difference in how they’re going to arrive at those goals. What Juan is showing you on the simulcast right now is the Trump, I wanted to say tweet, it’s not a tweet, the post that he has on Truth Social. And he was talking about Massey and saying that, you know, the House Freedom Caucus is coming together, blah, blah, blah. And he’s saying thank you to them. They don’t you know, Democrats want to shut the country down. And then he goes into Massey. Congressman Thomas Massey is an automatic no on just about everything, despite the fact he’s always voted for CRs in the past. He actually hasn’t always voted for them in the past. The ones that he has voted in the past on, he’s been on the show and he’s gotten some out of it. He should be primaried. And Trump says he’ll lead the charge against him. He’s another grandstander. He reminds me of Liz Cheney. But OK, this is where I got to stop. Look, I don’t dislike Trump. And unlike a lot of people, I actually personally know him. I mean, we talk whenever we’re at the same events. You know, he always like shouts me out. I mean, I’m not saying I’m just saying we’re not. My example of bringing this up is that we’re not enemies. You know, we’re we get along very well. He’s wrong here. And it’s okay for him to be wrong. He’s not God. He can be wrong. He’s wrong here. Dear sweet Jesus, and I’m not saying the Lord’s name in vain, please let people understand that Thomas Massey not wanting to vote for more spending does not make him Liz Cheney. My brother in Christ, he is not Liz Cheney. Okay? Please. I just… I don’t do THC. We’re going to talk about that later, but maybe I should after this. Jiminy Christmas. So let’s not do this. Massey is literally fighting for Trump’s agenda. Everything that Massey is saying that he wants to do, Trump literally campaigned on it. Verbatim. Massey is, this is what voters put Massey in. They voted for Trump’s agenda. Massey’s giving them Trump’s agenda. This is why I don’t understand what POTUS is doing. Someone take his phone. Please, POTUS. Please listen. I need you guys are on the same page. He should be empowering Massey. Why is it that he endorses Lindsey Graham, but not Thomas Massey? What in the world? Oh, my gosh. Sidebar, sidebar. Okay. I need everyone to stop with the primary stuff right now. I wish I could turn that argument into a sock and shove it down the throats of people who constantly use it as a way to make excuses for weak Republicans quit. Get over the primary. If you don’t like our electoral system, go to a place that doesn’t have it. But it’s un-American to trash people for their primary choices. It’s absolutely… It’s un-Christian and it’s un-American. You bear false witness and then you betray the Republic by… defecating all over our great system that our founders instituted. And the primary system, voters have absolutely every right to exercise choices in the primary. So if you are un-American and you hate our system, you’re free to go to another country. And that’s pretty much all I got to say about that for people who constantly go back to that well. You know, it’s not I’m sorry that I’m not going to apologize, actually, for being more American than those people. That being said, they’re on the same side. They’re absolutely on the same side. And they agree with these things. You have to have somebody like Massey be a counterbalance. Otherwise, the whole Republican Party is going to slip into a Marxist hellhole. You have to. Trump should be using his influence instead of endorsing people like Lindsey Graham and threatening to primary people like Thomas Massey. He should be going out there and whooping the ass of every single weak Republican that’s refusing to actually like stop the C.R. and implement meaningful cuts. And even then, don’t tell me that Trump does not have the influence to go into some of these Democrat districts and start raising some cane with these Democrats who won’t vote for reduced spending. You guys know he absolutely has the influence to do it. You can’t have it both ways. You can’t say that he’s the most powerful president ever and then that he’s also too damn weak to get his own agenda passed. You can’t have it both ways. I don’t know if it’s a fear of failure or if it’s a fear of a protracted fight over it. I don’t know. But I’m telling you, he would be much more successful and I think it would be much more badass if he approached it that way. Free advice. That’s how you make America great again. Now, that being said… And like the tariff thing, I’m not totally against tariffs. I’m not for them in every regard, but they have in our history, they have been helpful at times, but it’s the smart implementation and it is the tactic of a short-term tactic in order for long-term gain. That’s how they’re implemented. I mean, you can go back and now there are times when it’s been bad. I’m not going to lie. There are. We have history littered with examples of it. I get it. But there are also good times that they’ve been implemented and that it’s been very effective. So I just keep that in mind. The transition, because this is a major adjustment that we’re talking about making to the market. The transition that accompanies such an adjustment, I’m not going to lie to you. It’s going to suck out loud economically. There’s not going to be an easy slide into it. But if you pair it with tax cuts and a reduction in federal spending, that transition can be super short lived. Look at what we’re already doing. We’re harnessing our energy production. That’s going to help our manufacturing, incentivizing, onshoring, manufacturing. That’s going to be a major help. But you have to couple this with a reduced tax burden and a reduction in federal spending. That is the way to shorten the transition. And it is so sad to me that there are certain there are some Democrats, most of them, in fact, who know this. They’re not idiots. They know this, but they’re so tribal and so partisan. They would rather screw you than allow for a sitting Republican president to have the appearance of a win. That’s un-American as well. I really feel like you just need to be getting into some gold and silver because if you’ve looked at the economy. But Gold Coat is the company to do it with. By the way, if you’re going to get into gold and silver, this is the only company that I trust to do it. And they’re going to take care of you. The ones coming this year will still be on the rookie contract again. The ones that the year after, they’re probably going to be making more than us. No, they are. I’m hurt. They are. Like, yeah. I’ve been in the meetings. They are… I need to get in the… I need to get in the field.
SPEAKER 09 :
You do.
SPEAKER 17 :
You need to come to the meetings. I need to get in the meetings because I’m hearing, like, yeah, if y’all don’t give us what we want, like, we sitting out. Yeah, that’s a possibility. For real. Yeah.
SPEAKER 21 :
So Angel Reese is mad. She wants to get paid as much as the men in the NBA. Does somebody… I mean, look, do they realize that the NBA subsidizes the WNBA? You need to get more eyeballs to justify… More money. That’s how that works. It’s not like there’s not some sort of, you know, council of deities in the sky that have determined that the NBA is going to get X amount of money. But the WNBA, because you have vaginas, you get less. No, it’s because nobody wants to watch it as much. And honestly, a lot of the drama on and off court hasn’t helped your cause, ladies. You have one person who got in because she was kind of an oddity in the league. I mean, it is… I think some people have said it’s a black lesbian dominated league. And you have a straight white chick that gets in it. Is it really that much? Is the race that much into it? Keynes thinks it is. Anyway… Then they dragged the chick that was getting the eyeballs and now they’re complaining that they don’t make as much as the men. You don’t make as much because you don’t get as much of an audience. They subsidize you. I mean, WNBA is a vanity project. It’s a welfare exercise. You know, it’s great if you love to play, but like don’t, you know, pigs get fed, hogs get slaughtered, right? So chill. We got second hour on the way. Well, really quick, by the way, Channel 347, DirecTV, the chats at Rumble, YouTube, Facebook. I didn’t have on my bingo card came that the Democrats were going to wake up and go, you know, we really need to go to bat. for that student, the pro-Hamas student, who is targeting Jewish students on campus. And he’s literally a radical foreign Islamist, Mahmoud Khalil. And they’re saying, it’s a direct attack on freedoms! He should be he’s he’s he’s a his status. But I think he’s like a legal alien, but he’s not a citizen. And as you know, he was arrested. The pro Hamas activists, he led a coalition of rioters that wanted to seek the eradication of Western civilization. They had a big riot at Columbia University and Bernard College. He was arrested by ICE agents per New York Post. His he leads the Columbia University apartheid divest group. And he completed his graduate studies at Columbia in December. Sidebar. Who else does not really think that that’s impressive anymore? When someone’s like, oh, I went to Columbia. I’m like, you’re a moron. I’m sorry. I really do, though. And he is potentially he’s got a green card. He has a visa. He’s he’s looking at having his green card canceled. They may do that and have his visa revoked because POTUS has been cracking down on this stuff. Right. He was inside his university-owned apartment. ICE agents entered, took him into custody. He graduated months ago, but still somehow was living in school-provided housing. And there’s a policy that allows students to remain on campus after graduating. I don’t understand that, but okay. So he was super active in all of the disruption. There’s tons of video of him, all of this stuff. He had flyers that apparently came directly from Hamas’s own, like Hamas’s media office. They were handing out flyers that talked about, I mean, they looked violent. It looked like they were, the flyers, when you look at them, it looks like they were advocating violence. One of the pamphlets was titled Our Narrative, Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which was a whole pamphlet explaining the justification, their justification for October 7th. Yeah. He passed he apparently passed around trading card like photos of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. He was I mean, there’s there’s a lot. So this dude is an absolute agitator. One of the things apparently because Bernard, their college was the site of the building takeovers for like two weeks. There were people who were barging into classrooms and tossing around pro-Hamas flyers. And I mean, that’s like actual pro-Hamas stuff. So agents raided this dude’s apartment. Columbia put out a statement addressing the presence of agents in the vicinity, etc., etc. He… His supporters issued a press release calling the arrest a racist targeting. That’s so stupid. They’re trying to instill fear in pro-Hamas activists. I don’t say Palestine because it’s a fake thing. They had a petition demanding his release, etc. I mean, these people raised hell. This guy raised hell and Democrats decided this is what they’re going to go for. They’re acting like it’s a big speech thing. It’s a free speech thing. It’s not. I wanted to go back to the I’m pulling this. Forgive me. I’m pulling this post up. I wanted to go back to this story that I had saved. This is December 17th, 2023. It’s an older story that I have. And. This is why it’s super interesting. The headline, Biden’s quote unquote violent settler Israeli visa ban would bar those who simply disagree with his terrible policies. And it gets into restrictions on Israelis in response to what they were calling settler violence, et cetera, et cetera. So back in December of 23, this is something that the Biden administration did. They announced that they had that they were implementing visa bans against Israelis in They said that people who, quote unquote, disrupted or prevented efforts to achieve a two state solution, including through nonviolent means. And it was pretty broadly applied, essentially denied visas to anybody who disagreed with White House foreign policy. And there was not a single Democrat. There was not a single civil rights organization. There was not. I mean, there wasn’t a single any anything that. objected or protested or signed a petition or did anything like that. So all of the people who are complaining and who are screaming about Trump’s policy of looking at the visas of students who are on campus promoting Hamas, writing for Hamas, passing out Hamas literature, passing out trading cards featuring Hamas literature or they’re their leaders. Biden did it. That’s the justification. Step off. And Democrats, when they open Pandora’s box, they never look in the future and go, how can this be worked the other way? So Biden already established this in 2023. What’s more, though, they’re even without that. So take away just, you know, if you don’t want to include the Biden precedent. ICE is still a thousand percent correct in what they’re doing. A green card does not mean that you have a greater claim to a constitutional right than if you were here on a student visa. There are statutes that regulate, that govern the criteria for not only remaining in good standing, but for obtaining them in the first place. And those statutes, by the way, include, and I’m pulling this up. So this is 8 U.S.C. subsection 1227A, 4 and B. It’s already a statute. The law states that terrorist activities, if you are an alien who engages in a terrorist activity, I’m going to skip down to is a representative as defined in a political, social or other group that endorses or espouses terrorist activity, terrorist activity defined unlawful under the laws of the place where it’s committed to seizing, detaining, threatening to kill, injure, containing, detaining, blah, blah, blah, etc. Literally already he’s violated the statute. That’s the actual law that I just read to you. What of his activities isn’t included in that is the safer question than to ask what is. So ICE is a thousand percent correct. A thousand percent correct in what they’re doing here. They have every right. So not only did Biden establish the precedent that doesn’t even include violating a statute, but that is the actual law that governs this. There is no way you look at this where this dude gets to stay. Which brings us to the difference between these classifications. Just because you have a green card does not mean there’s citizenship is the be all end all. You do not have any more of a claim on that right than any other person sans citizenship or outside of citizenship. That’s it. But what’s more, it is very well known that you cannot go to Mexico and engage in political protests. Cain Wright, you have a family that’s there. You can’t even go there and do that.
SPEAKER 14 :
You’ll get parked by the cartel before the government, but either way, it’s not good.
SPEAKER 21 :
I mean, OK, excluding the cartel, the government would totally arrest you, though, because it’s not allowed. You cannot be a non-citizen in Mexico and go.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah. And petition their government.
SPEAKER 21 :
Yeah. Petition their government and go and take part in any kind of, you know, foreign country. You can’t go in Italy and do it. They I mean, they tell you you can’t do that. It’s, I mean, literally everyone says it’s, yeah, it’s not a good idea if you’re in a foreign country to protest. Like, that’s a life hack. Just like it’s a life hack where if you’re thirsty, you drink water. Life hack. Do you know, Cain, that if you don’t run out into a busy street, you won’t get hit by a car?
SPEAKER 14 :
What?
SPEAKER 21 :
Dude, a life hack.
SPEAKER 14 :
Wow.
SPEAKER 21 :
Just helping y’all out here.
SPEAKER 14 :
I need to write these down.
SPEAKER 21 :
I’m saying. So, In countries like Italy, you can’t do that. You can’t go in and go in. I can’t go to Italy, you know, go and wander around, get a nice cab in the wine wall, walk around and then be like, I want to go participate in a protest. I can’t do that. You know why? Because I’m a guest in that country. For all of the discussion about Americans being loud and brash, what are we dealing with here? You’re telling me that we have to accommodate foreigners who are coming in who don’t even understand our system and want to raise hell within it? You’re a guest. You be a good guest. Right? You’re in someone else’s country. You be a good guest. It’s not very difficult to understand this. If I can’t do it in Ireland, I can’t do it in Norway, I can’t do it in Italy, I can’t go to Turks and Caicos and do it. I couldn’t go to Puerto Rico. I couldn’t go to Mexico. I definitely can’t go to Mexico and do it. It’s frowned. It’s in the severity ranges from citation to your jailed. It’s not allowed. The United States is no different. And the difference is this guy is literally promoting a group that is all about violence and murder. It’s a terror group. It’s their actual terrorists. So spare me the whole weeping and ashing of teeth about free speech. This has nothing to do with free speech. He is not a citizen. He doesn’t get to claim the same rights as other citizens do. This is very explicitly laid out in our statutes. ICE is completely correct. Trump is completely correct in this. So no, we’re not going to sit here and glad hand Mahmoud Khalil. He’s wrong. He’s got to go. And there needs to be serious consequences for this stuff. You don’t go over to a country as a guest and act like an ass. You just, no. When you become a citizen, by all means, that’s one of the perks of your citizenship. But without it, shut up. Because we’ve got enough loudmouths in this country. We don’t need a bunch of foreigners coming in and doing the same thing. Just saying, be a good guest. We’re good guests when we travel. You be a good guest when you come here. Very simple. But it’s… He absolutely meets the threshold for being deported. It’s section 212 of the INA. And by the way, it’s delegated to what branch? The executive branch. Yeah. So there you go. A couple of other things. We’ve been following the budget battle. Have we heard back from any member of Congress, Cain? I know they’re busy, but I don’t care.
SPEAKER 14 :
They are busy and no. Not yet.
SPEAKER 21 :
I want someone to explain to me why they think that they’re going to be able to accomplish this in reconciliation, but not now. The Senate has a little bit more of a conservative spine than the House. But again, the House has to finalize everything that with regard to power of the purse. So I’m just, you know, we’re going to discuss this a little bit more here coming up. We’ve got headlines on the way. Super Beats. I talk about this product. It’s a Texas based product. They support your views and they help bring you great programming. And also they help bring you great products. products, too. This is the only beet brand that I trust, the only beet brand that I will ever use. And the hard shoes, obviously, I’ve talked to you about those, but the new product that they have is Super Boreen. Now, the Super Boreen is a plant-based supplement. It’s made with an ingredient that helps to support your metabolism and also helps to support your blood sugar levels, and it’s three times more effective than than just your diet and exercise alone. It’s clinically researched. What they found when they were clinically studying this, this berberine that they use, is that it’s shown to have a nearly 10 times higher absorption rate than standard berberine. It’s used by doctors and, again, from the makers of the Super Beats hard shoes. And it’s all at Sam’s Club. So you can go to your New York Sam’s Club. You can save on Super Beats hard shoes and the new Super Berberine from Human. You’ll love the way it makes you feel.
SPEAKER 14 :
And now, all of the news you would probably miss. It’s time for Dana’s Quick Five.
SPEAKER 21 :
So, Canada’s saying that they’re going to cut everybody’s power off. And in response, Trump is going to double the 25% tariff on Canada and go after steel and aluminum. So, Ontario’s Doug Ford. Now, Cain, really quickly. Doug Ford’s brother was that one mayor who looked like Chris Farley. And he had a drug overdose, right? Yes. Rob Ford.
SPEAKER 18 :
I think it was Rob.
SPEAKER 21 :
Was it Rob Ford? He was crazy. You guys got to see video of that dude. So, his brother… is in Ontario. And so he’s the premier of Ontario. So he says if there’s a recession, he’s blaming Trump. And so they were threatening to cut off electricity to some states. And so Trump said, OK, you like your 25 percent tariff. Now it’s 50. So we’re going to talk more about that. I know it’s a little bit. A Texas bill. We’re going to talk about this coming up. Excuse me. Would make identifying as transgender a felony punishable by jail. Now, they say the bill’s unlikely to pass. If you thought Dade Phelan was involved, you’re correct. You guys know Schmade Phelan, right? The big Republican power broker. We’re going to come back to it. We’re going to come back to it. Also, let’s see. We got the tournament. Some of this stuff is a little older. Let me go to this. So, the USA has been added to a human rights list for rapid decline in civic freedoms. They it’s really interesting. It’s a national nonprofit that put all of these all of the more leaning towards conservatism, European nations and the U.S. on the list. Wow. So shocking. I wonder why. I don’t even I’m not even going to give the group’s name, but it’s basically a far left group that just doesn’t like doesn’t like us. That’s all it is. I just Trump says that he’s going to buy a basically they’re calling it a pity purchase. Is Trump going to pity purchase a Tesla? He said yesterday, apparently, that he was going to do it, that he was going to buy a Tesla to support Elon Musk. Tesla stock plunged, plunged. It dropped 15 percent Monday amid declining sales in multiple markets. People have been protesting. You guys know it’s total Soros astroturf as well. And so they’ve been really targeting, really targeting Tesla. But it’s only 15%, and it’s going to correct itself. We have a lot more on the way, and you don’t want to miss it. Stick with us. It’s always good to diversify. I’m always going to carry. I have zero problem with it. I have zero problem in pumping a threat full of lead. If you’re threatening me, my life, or the lives of my loved ones, I have a lethal response for that. That said, there are always instances where you’re denied from carry, whether it’s you’re in D.C. I have friends that live and work in D.C., They go through all the hoops. They get their license to carry. They have to ask the government for permission to exercise their God-given Second Amendment right. That’s merely affirmed by the Constitution. So they’ve got to diversify their weaponry. And there’s no problem in doing that. There’s no issue. I mean, you carry blades, right? I mean, you’ve got pistols and rifles. What’s the problem with having something like a Berna gun? Their most popular model. And the one that I would recommend to you is the Burna SD. It’s their best-selling one. And the Burna gun shoots chemical irritant projectiles that can disable threats from up to 50 feet away. So it gives you a chance if you’re under threat. And it’s legal in all 50 states. No background checks, no permits, no recoil. It can be shipped directly to your door. It doesn’t care about gun-free zone signs, so you’ve got a lot of legal flexibility there. Always reevaluate. Always evaluate and reevaluate again and again what you have for self-defense. This is a good option if you’re barred from carry, particularly if you’re downtown somewhere and you want to be able to protect yourself from high crime rates from Soros attorneys. SPEAKER 02 :
The president went after one of your own colleagues yesterday, Thomas Massey, who does plan to vote against this. He says he should be primary. Do you agree with the president? Should Thomas Massey be primary for his vote against this?
SPEAKER 24 :
Look, I’m in the incumbent protection program here. That’s what I do. Speaker of the House. And you know me and my style and my, you know, the way I. do this job. I don’t, um, I bless those who persecute me, right? So, um, Thomas and I have had disagreements, but I considered Thomas Massey a friend. Um, he’s a thoughtful guy. Um, he’s, I guess he’ll tell you he’s doing what he thinks is right on this. I just vehemently disagree with his position, but I’ll leave it at that.
SPEAKER 21 :
So Mike Johnson asked about the whole thing with Trump and Massey. Welcome back to the program. Dana Lash with you. I make no bones about it. I like Thomas Massey. I think he’s the most consistent person in all of Congress. All of them. There is nobody more consistent than he is in Congress. Nobody. And I understand that POTUS wants to get things moving. But the CR, it’s just not the way to do this, not now, not the way that it is. It’s just not. And the people out there who I think, and I’m not trying to say this to be rude, who haven’t done this as long as we have, who haven’t been in this day in and day out, have been lied to repeatedly, I think that maybe they’re not as sensitive to these excuses as we are. And I got to tell you, as somebody who paid mid-six figures in taxes… and is audited by the IRS literally every year that a Democrat has been in the White House without exception, I get really pissed off when I am told that Republicans aren’t able to cut spending or reduce taxes right now, especially after watching how much of our money was wasted at USAID. So, yeah, I will apologize to nobody. for wanting to cut spending and implement the agenda that I voted for, that you voted for. We didn’t vote for CRs. We voted to actually get it done. And I understand that some people are like, no, the CR is the pathway. And I don’t think some, look, it can be a convoluted process. And I don’t think that some entirely get it. I agree. It should be totally straightforward. But the idea that you have to spend more now to get savings later is like screwing for chastity. It’s not how that works. They’ve never done it. They have never come back and reduced spending. Remember, they were promising us. with all these cloture votes and these other votes with regards to Obamacare, that they were going to come back and deal with it, and they never went back and dealt with it. Hell, even during POTUS’s first term, they were saying that they were going to come back to Obamacare. They never came back to it. They never do it. They never do it. There’s never been an example of Republicans passing something that’s involving spending that either continues the rate of spending or maintains it or increases it. They have never come back and said, we’re going to cut it. No one can give me an example of it because one doesn’t exist. So the drive-bys will forgive us for questioning that logic. We understand what they’re trying to do. I just have zero faith in that they’ll do it because they’ve never done it. And they have a smaller majority than they’ve had in 100 years. What makes you think that it’s going to change, that they’re going to go back later and do it after midterms kick in when everyone files and everybody starts running to the center? Nobody wants to have to answer about cuts or have to fight about taxes going to their town halls for midterms. Seriously? No, they’re not going to do it. This is why it was so important for him to hit the ground running. Democrats would love a shutdown. Honestly, I don’t care if we have a shutdown. A shutdown means the government’s not operational entirely. And I’m totally fine with that. Don’t threaten me with a good time. That’s why I just Republicans always lose their minds over this stuff. And I don’t get it. Every every single time going back to. Oh, wait. Oh, nine. I mean, every time that there’s been a fight over a shutdown, Republicans freak out because they are assured by Democrats and the press that they are going to have they’re going to be yoked with the blame for it. And it never happens that way. In 2010, we had one of the biggest victories possible. The quote unquote shellacking. in part because of the Tea Party, thank you, but also they held the line and they didn’t fall for all of this narrative, this poison narrative about the shutdown and who would be to blame for it. I mean, voters aren’t stupid. They might be fickle, but they’re not stupid. There’s clearly a difference here. Can we talk about something really dumb? Oh my gosh, this has to do with Texas. I don’t know what is happening in Texas. So two things. The first thing, how many of you guys like memes? You guys know memes. Yeah, you like the memes, right? I can’t even believe this is a real thing that I’m reading, but it is. So in Texas, there is a bill that has been proposed that they are, I think it’s in committee, they’re trying to make it to where memes are Criminal, I guess. They’re trying to criminalize memes. You guys know, like, for instance, one of my favorite memes lately is the J.D. Vance stuff where they try to make him look like a Cabbage Patch Kid. It’s actually hysterical. It’s so funny. And he has such a great sense of humor about it because he’s retweeted it. Well, apparently this is from Texas Scorecard. Dade Phelan has a bill to criminalize memes. Wait, what? Remember when he had the video and everyone was caught? So Dade Phelan, as you know, Long time Texas Rhino. People say he’s a Democrat who acts as a Rhino. I don’t know. He’s a state rep. He’s District 21. And he’s a power player. He was speaker, all this stuff. He dropped out of the speaker race this last time around. Anyway, he, according to Texas Scorecard, Phelan has introduced House Bill 366. That would make it a crime to distribute altered media, including political memes, without a government approved disclaimer. Violators could face up to a year in jail. That’s literally me. Oh, my gosh. The State Affairs Committee is going to take up the bill. It’s by the former speakers by Dave Phelan. They’re taking up the bill tomorrow. They’ve got a bunch of energy transmission legislation. It’s the first hearing of the Committee on Legislation this session. And it specifically targets political advertising that features an image, audio recording, video recording of an office holder’s or candidate’s appearance, speech, or conduct that did not occur in reality. It’s overly broad language. It includes media altered using, whether it’s generative AI or whatever. The Texas Ethics Commission would have the authority to determine the specific format, font size, color of the required disclaimer. Yeah, there’s like a literal, a lot of First Amendment concerns here. And I can’t even imagine the implication. I mean, this literally does, it could go towards memes. And I feel like it’s Dade Phelan. This is not somebody, this is not an effort to look out for AI stuff. He got roasted for, he has a horrible record on guns and oh my gosh. And he got roasted by Texas Republican, by conservatives who shared memes of him like drunk Dade and all this stuff. And they shared all of these memes. And I think that’s ultimately, What? Yes. Yes, he is. I think that that’s what’s ultimately motivating him to do this. Can you this? You know what this makes me want to do? Literally dunk on him with a meme every second of every day. I want to bury him, politically speaking, in memes. That’s what I want to do. Because this is so goofy. It’s free speech. Protected speech is protected speech. I love these people that get ahead of their skis on this. They think they can just, like Dade Phelan, thinks he can just go around and bully people out of their free speech. Doesn’t really work that way. Memers buy ink by the barrel, and that’s who you do not want to pick a fight with, are people who buy ink by the barrel. And I don’t even know how you would enforce this. How do you enforce something like this, Cain? Yes.
SPEAKER 23 :
Sir, we don’t appreciate the meme that you just posted to your Facebook.
SPEAKER 21 :
How does that happen? Are they watching? It’s so stupid. It’s so stupid. So they’ve asked Phelan about it. Phelan has no response. So in addition to this, there was also the big thing that’s now passed out of committee. And I’m pulling this up. This is the THC thing now I want to be very clear I am not part of this consumer base I’m just consistent with big government especially after the Rona so what’s happened is that the THC bill that we were talking about I mean, Texas legislators could be working on property tax relief or abolishing property taxes outright. But instead, they’re flirting around with gun control bills. And I mean, they unanimously passed this bill banning THC out of committee. And it’s going to head to the Senate. Every single Democrat voted for it. It was a unanimous. Everybody voted for it. Now. What does the bill do? It’s already illegal for kids. They’re talking about consumables or edibles. They’re not talking about, like, smoking actual marijuana. There is a difference. And, Cain, correct me if I’m wrong on this. Again, I’m not a Breaking Bad fan. I’ve never watched it. I don’t know. It’s drugs.
SPEAKER 14 :
That show wasn’t about pot.
SPEAKER 21 :
No, I know, but whatever.
SPEAKER 14 :
All right.
SPEAKER 21 :
So I know that there’s a difference between, like, THC that’s, I don’t want to say distilled, concentrated and, like, A gummy or whatever. I think there’s other products. I don’t know.
SPEAKER 14 :
However it’s delivered. Vape, gummy.
SPEAKER 21 :
Yeah. And then like actual smoke, like smoking a joint.
SPEAKER 14 :
Right.
SPEAKER 21 :
Right. There’s a difference.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah. They actually grow the flower, what they call the flower. Sounds so hippified. Yeah. Sorry. But that’s they grow it with those specific genetics in mind so that the plant itself produces the legal.
SPEAKER 21 :
I just want people to realize like this is not stoner stuff. And I’m not like I said, I’m not a part of this consumer base. I have used products with CBD oil. But I don’t do THC. I don’t smoke pot. I don’t do any of that. Now, that’s not to say that I want to boss everybody around in their life. I’m just consistent. There’s a difference between… And I want to make that clear because everybody thinks that they’re talking about letting nine-year-olds run around Texas and smoke pot. That’s literally not what this bill is. It’s about the THC and the… The edibles.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yeah, and I think it’s the type of THC because there’s molecular differences with the THC that’s currently under law.
SPEAKER 21 :
I can just skip over all of the differences. But yeah, it is regulated though.
SPEAKER 14 :
Yes. I don’t understand the science of it.
SPEAKER 21 :
There are currently regulations. And they can’t sell it to kids. They’re not like standing outside elementary school going, hey kids, come here.
SPEAKER 14 :
It’s like going to the gas station and trying to buy liquor or anything that you would need to be 21 for. It’s that…
SPEAKER 21 :
So the people who are telling you otherwise about this are lying to you. And then you have to question what their motives are because they’re purposefully maliciously misrepresenting something. So I the reason I am so against what they’re trying to do with this bill is because they’re literally taking a gun control argument and they’re applying it to this. The formula is the same. You’ve got to switch out the variables. So instead of getting his property tax relief, they’re going to take something that has been legal for years. And keep in mind, there has been a resurgence of Republican voting. Texas is not flip blue. There have been counties actually in past three elections where you have had counties that have been purple that have voted more, have more registered Republican voters in them and have voted Republican more consistently than Democrats more consistent consistently. Why all of this has already been legal. And again, there’s a difference between the THC and Republicans. edibles and then like running around smoking pot no one’s talking about the latter uh and they’ve decided that they’re going to just like arbitrarily ban it and there’s actual no legitimate reason to do so um i think it’s silly i think it’s stupid i think that it undermines uh I think it undermines individual liberty. And I think it’s a gun control argument, again, applied to this. And I think it’s a joke for the Texas Republican Party to do this. It’s an $8 billion industry in the Republic of Texas. This is not a stoner or hippie thing. It’s already illegal to sell to minors. No one’s selling it to minors. No one’s talking about smoking joints. It’s literally about THC. in consumables and that’s it so the people who are telling you otherwise are lying and they’re either getting I mean you got a question are they getting paid to lie or are they just ignorant and malicious you know naturally I don’t know I have to question the motivation of people who say these things and it’s so it’ll there’s there’s no it’s not going to turn Texas this is not anything remotely like what Colorado did Colorado was like a free-for-all smoke all the things wherever you want I mean, that’s not at all what this is. And it’s already legal. So what is the whole it’s just mystifying to me. Any Republican that supports this in Texas, I’m not going to be able to I’m not gonna be able to support them because they’re probably out there supporting gun control, too. Are these the same Republicans have been flirting around with these stupid gun control bills and committee? I’ve been hearing about it. I just can’t talk about, I just can’t support Republicans that are doing this. I am like one person away from being done with this party permanently. One person away. Like maybe never voting for them again. I am right there. They’re horrible financially, with economics. They’re horrible with gun rights. They’re horrible with this. It’s uniparty stuff. This is literally uniparty stuff. SPEAKER 11 :
How do we fix the wounds dividing America? Pastor Alan Jackson has the answer.
SPEAKER 10 :
Well, I think the reason we’ve been silent for so long, while our country’s been pilfered and pulled apart, is all of our groups have gotten little pieces of the pie. And we’re afraid we’re going to have to forfeit our little special side deal, our side hustles. And so we just don’t say anything. But we would all be stronger if we’d come back to the truth.

SPEAKER 12 :
It’s his life mission to make bad decisions. It’s time for Florida Man.
SPEAKER 21 :
All right. So first, a Florida man was sentenced to six years. Oh, he looks happy. Looks too happy. For biting a deputy’s head at EDM Festival. 37-year-old James Anderson entered a guilty plea to aggravate a battery on a law enforcement officer. It was during Soul Fest. Oh, so well. He took a bite out of a dude’s head. He was sentenced to six years in prison and another 10 years probation. They were trying to arrest him. at the EDM Festival last May in Ponce de Leon. And Anderson tried to grab the deputy’s gun and then bit him in the head. It literally exposed the deputy’s skull. He literally took a huge meat chunk out of the deputy’s head and you could see his skull. The deputy recovered from his injury. So, yeah, I feel like he should get in major trouble. You don’t go for the dude’s gun and then bite his head off. But I would like to know what he was being arrested for, though. A judge sentences a Florida dentist accused of a campaign of terror. You’re a dentist. What are you doing? He sent over 100 threats to 40 victims and retaliation to their political commentary.
SPEAKER 1 :
61.
SPEAKER 21 :
He wrote threats of injury and death even after agents intervened and asked him to stop. Robert Cantwell. That’s a name right there. Oh, my gosh.
SPEAKER 14 :
Stay in your lane, bro.
SPEAKER 21 :
I mean, he sent a lot of stuff, like 100 threats to 40 different victims. Dentist Cantwell. Can’t but will. But he, golly, he would tell people prepare to die. You won’t see Jesus because you’re an immortal degenerate. Maybe let’s not do that. Let’s not do stuff like that. And, you know, just disagree. I don’t know. Nicely. Third hour on the way. SPEAKER 19 :
The, I mean, the way it’s important in entitlement spending, you know, which is all of the, which is most of the federal spending is entitlements. So that’s like the big one to eliminate is that’s the sort of half trillion, maybe 600, 700 billion a year.
SPEAKER 21 :
So Musk is talking about the entitlement spending, which is really bad. And he’s right on all of this. He gets it. I mean, he’s giving the recommended cuts, and he says that the entitlement spending, we know this, it’s the absolute worst, and I wish more people would speak about it. I’m glad that he is. Welcome back to the program. Top of this third hour. Good to be with you. Dana Lash here. This newsletter is over at Substack Chapter and Verse. Find us on YouTube, Facebook, the chats at Rumble and the back and forth with us because we’re going to have a go. I’m actually fine with having a government shutdown. I think most conservatives are. But we’re supposed to have we don’t get it done by Friday. We’re going to. Have a shutdown. You think we’re going to have the barriers, the little wooden barriers in front of the parks like Barack Obama did it when they did the… They tried. That actually backfired on them so bad. And I think Democrats are playing this where it’s going to backfire on them as well. I mean, for… This… It’s not that bad for Democrats. And they could go along with it if they wanted to. But they are so insistent on not… giving any kind of even the appearance of a win to a sitting Republican president. They’ll drag their feet. We’ll see. This is Audio Soundbite 7. I’m not a fan of playing her. She was a senator from my home state. She screamed at me at a press conference once because I asked a question. She didn’t like it. Screamed me in front of a whole room of people. But she says this about Democrats and their involvement in the shutdown strategy. Listen. Listen.
SPEAKER 16 :
If they end up being the reason that the government shuts down, that muddles their message that, in fact, it’s the Trump administration that is trying to shut down your government services like Social Security, like Medicaid, like Veterans Benefits. So I predict, like all other CR drama, that they will pass the CR this week.
SPEAKER 21 :
Yeah, that’s not actually entirely accurate because government shutdowns, you still get your Social Security stuff. That’s not how that works. I don’t know why they keep lying about this, but if they don’t pass it, there’s certain things that are affected, but Social Security is not. Now, there’s some administrative aspects of Social Security that may be interrupted or may be delayed, but your Social Security payments are not at all whatsoever. They’ve always been, all of that has always been insulated from shutdowns. Things like anything that’s considered an essential service with regard to that has always been insulated from shutdowns, always. Always, always. So this is just this is fear mongering. It’s absolute fear mongering. And I wish that they would be a little bit more. Well, you know, I’m talking about Democrats. They’re not going to be honest with you about any of this stuff. Why would they? They they need just like they need you to. They need you to everybody to buy in with all of the economic headlines. They need you to also buy that. You know, all of this stuff is going to shut down. I want a quick note about that, too, with them. the economic warnings. There’s a little bit of caution for Republicans here. What was one of the biggest complaints that you all heard or maybe that you yourself had with how Democrats treated the economic downturn in the previous administration? They pretended that it wasn’t there, right? They all pretended that you weren’t, in fact, watching prices go up at the grocery store. They pretended that you weren’t, in fact, struggling to have your dollar stretch as far as it did previously. They were telling you that it was the most, like with the July 4th celebration, oh, it’s the most affordable thing ever. We saved you 11 cents on hot dogs. Remember that? It was insulting, right? It was insulting. It was offensive. Because you thought they were treating you like you were stupid. And that made a lot of people sour on Democrats. And that was one of the big instigators for getting people to vote big tent on the right. A word of caution for Republicans, that can also go both ways. There is a difference in a bad stock market and interruptions, disruptions, and dips. Yesterday, it was like a 1.1% dip, so it was small, relatively speaking, a dip nonetheless, but it was small. And I think people have been a lot of people been freaking out about it. I mean, obviously, when you start talking about tariffs, you’re going to sell off. You’re going to have the stuff. It’s going to it’s going to affect Wall Street. That’s you know, that’s just the way it is. That’s how it works. And when I mean, every that’s one of the reasons why also Trump was told stop talking about tariffs so much because it affects Wall Street. And that’s true. But I think that. They’re obviously especially because you don’t have tax cuts baked in. So you don’t have a shot in the arm or some like real immediate measurable relief for people. So it’s going to be a little it’s going to be disruptive. Republicans would be dumb to deny that. It’s how they have to message it. So I don’t want them to do what the Biden administration did and act like everything is like, you know, peachy keen when it’s not. You can’t. They need to be honest about it. And that’s why it’s incredibly important for them to be able to articulate this stuff. If you’re when you’re explaining you’re losing, it shouldn’t take three minutes for a Republican to explain why they’re supporting what they support. You know, love or hate Massey. And he’s the most consistent congressional member that we have. And he has been he’s been criticized for being a Trump rubber stamp and then criticized when he takes a stand against big spending. The man can never win. People are fickle. You know, good heavens. But he is very good at explaining in 60 seconds why. It’s one thing I’ve noticed about him. He explains to you very quickly why he believes what he believes, why this is why I believe. And he’s very he’s, you know, very articulate. Not every Republican is the same, and I think they need to be, and they need to not discount the concern that voters have as to how this is going to affect them. Are things going to be more expensive? How is this going to work? They need to be able to speak to those concerns in a non-patronizing way and acknowledge it, but then also say, and this is why it’s going to be short-lived, and then this is what you can expect after, and then this is what we’re going to do after that. Just boom, boom, boom. You need to give people something to look forward to. But they are also the markets also going to need a shot in the arm. And that’s where tax cuts come in. So the idea that Republicans are going to claw back anything and reconciliation. I mean, a lot of us have seen this time and time again, and we have been promised this time and time again. No jury would convict us for not believing them. So there it is. But I do think that, you know, the economy, I mean, the dip that we’ve had. I’m sorry, but it’s not as crazy as the media is making it out to be. It’s really not. It’s I mean, I don’t know how else to say it. It’s really not. And I think the media just wants everyone to believe. Look what Trump did to the economy. That’s what it’s all part of. But again, voters aren’t stupid. They know when the hardship began to take effect. And it was way before Trump got into office. So that’s that’s you know, that’s something you’re not going to be able to lie to people about with that. A couple of other things that I want to make sure or the tariff thing real quick. So Trump is because, as you know, the premier of Ontario said, well, we’re going to just disrupt electricity then to some states. So Trump had it was a two post response, basically. where he said he’s essentially doubling the tariff now with Canada instead of 25%. He said, based on Ontario, Canada, placing a 25% on electricity coming into the U.S., I’ve instructed my Secretary of Commerce to add an additional 25% tariff to 50% on all steel and aluminum coming into the United States from Canada, one of the highest tariffing nations anywhere in the world. It will go into effect tomorrow morning. Canada must immediately drop their anti-American farmer tariff of 250%. to 390% on various U.S. dairy products, which has long been considered outrageous. He said he’s going to declare a national emergency on electricity within the threatened area to allow the U.S. to do what it needs to do to alleviate the abusive threat from Canada. I actually completely agree with Trump on this. I mean, all of these other countries have tariffs on everything that we send out, and we’re being told that we’re not allowed to have any? Step off. No, no. That’s how it works. I mean, honestly, 250 percent tariff to 390 percent on dairy products. That’s insane. A very long time. So spare us this, you know, protestation about a free market. This is none of this is free market. Not a single bit of this is free market. He is. POTUS is exactly correct. How long is the United States supposed to just keep accepting the abuse? How long are our farmers to keep taking the abuse? I’m just curious. He says he also said talked about their cars. He said, I’m going to substantially increase on April 2nd the tariffs on cars coming into the U.S., which will essentially permanently shut down the automobile manufacturing business in Canada. Those cars can easily be made in the U.S. He goes, also, Canada pays little for national security, relying on the U.S. for military protection. We’re subsidizing Canada to the tune of more than $200 billion a year. Why? He’s right. There’s no lies detected here. So those who question the tariff thing, maybe you can understand why some of us are saying enough is enough. If you really want to be free and fair, then, I mean, you’re looking at 390% dairy tariff, and then Ontario on top of it is hitting Americans who get their electricity with a 25% surcharge for that electricity. They depend on us for military response, but they don’t pay anything towards it. So I don’t even think that I wouldn’t even classify this as a, as a retaliatory tariff. I just think that this is holding these entities and make, this is actually adjusting it for fairness and accountability. That’s how I look at it. I mean, I just, these are, this is such a one sided advantage for Canada and Why? Why is the why is the United States the bad player here for simply wanting to equalize it? Nobody can answer all the people who who hate this stuff. They cannot explain that to me. I have friends who who think Trump is so wrong with the with tariffs and now they’re going they’re going on and on on Facebook and they’ll text me about it. But I’ve asked that question. Why is it? If all of these countries can levy these penalties on us, why can we not balance out that trade relationship? You know, when they’re threatening to cut power or services and we can’t respond, why? We put ourselves in this box of self-imposed weakness. Why? Why would we accept that? In order for there to be fair trade, for fair trade to exist, that means the people who are participating must be fair and equitable with each other. And that is not what’s happening here. I mean, that’s not sustainable to have this relationship that we have now. And I don’t think that anybody who can do math would disagree.
SPEAKER 14 :
And now, all of the news you would probably miss. It’s time for Dana’s Quick Five.
SPEAKER 21 :
So, an Illinois man led deputies on a chase in a stolen ambulance in Millam County. I’m sorry, man? Grant Saleen, 30, of Illinois, is facing all kinds of charges. He led law enforcement officers on a chase in a stolen ambulance. He was booked into Millen County Jail. Oh, boy, lots of things. Assault with a deadly weapon, criminal mischief, evading arrest, blah, blah, blah. They’re also going to file more charges, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle with unlawful restraint. What did you think stealing an ambulance was going to do for you? So they said that they learned from Allegiance Mobile Health that a man at a local hotel had called for an ambulance in reference to a mental health issue. When it arrived, he jumped in and took it and drove away. So he called for it and then as they came in, I guess ran around and got into it and took off. Is he the Joker? Makes me wonder, right? Good heavens. Let’s see this. Oh boy. An L.A. deputy. Used a Pringles can and a secret code to smuggle. This is the second time Pringles has been in the headlines to smuggle heroin and lock up. 39 year old Los Angeles County deputy sheriff accused of smuggling heroin to inmates. So some mayor of Kingstown stuff with he conspired with gang shot callers. using a secret code and tubes of Pringles to move the drugs. So Michael Miser, he was arrested. He, oh golly, he brought more than a pound of black tar heroin hidden inside two Pringles cans before he was taken into custody. So he’s in lots of trouble, as one can imagine. Air India flight to Delhi made an emergency U-turn to Chicago after 11 out of the 12 toilets clogged. What are they eating that that happened? 11 of the 12. And they’re like, oh, it’s customer service. And I… And I got to get this one. A woman is accused of locking her not clothed partner on the balcony and he froze to death per Japanese police. So this is in Japan. Fifty four year old woman was arrested on charges of assault and lethal confinement in Nagasaki. She told the victim to get out in the balcony while he was naked, confined in there. Then the next day, police arrived to an emergency call. He was pretty much nearly dead from hypothermia in a room. Wow. Just wow. Coming up, we’re going to talk with Hillsdale’s president to get education stuff.

SPEAKER 21 :
Welcome back to the program. Dana Lash with you here at the bottom of this third hour. You can listen coast to coast, of course, and you can also watch the simulcast channel 347 direct TV. We’re also on Rumble X Facebook where we’re everywhere. One of the big things we’ve been discussing along with this big budget battle, the CR, potential reconciliation, DOGE, USAID, has been the executive orders that the president has come out with, including one that’s been promised as it pertains to the Department of Education. basically instructing now Secretary of the Department of Education, Linda McMahon, to get ready. Get ready because it seems to signal that Doge is coming and they’re going to start looking at the Department of Education next after they’re going through the IRS and everything else. So what does that mean? Because there’s been a lot of discussion about education. Now, you guys know our setup. I mean, we homeschooled till eighth grade and then we had a private Christian school. But we were also very we participated in taking back the school boards, etc. I feel like a lot of parents now are more in tune with the. educational hierarchy and bureaucracy more than they ever have been. And I feel like because of COVID, more parents are paying attention to this now than they ever have paid attention to it before. So what does this mean for education going forward? I mean, having to go back to the states, what does that absence of structure look like federally? And so we thought we’d bring on because, you know, we do work with an actual educational institution. We talk about them all the time. The president of Hillsdale College, Dr. Larry Arnn, who joins us now and via Skype. Love his background, too. He’s very studious. He usually everybody has a screen. He’s in a nice office. Dr. Arnn, it’s a pleasure to have you. Thanks for joining us.
SPEAKER 13 :
Thank you. Good to be with you.
SPEAKER 21 :
I wanted to get your thoughts as to, I mean, basically just this restructuring of education under this administration. Now, he hasn’t released an executive order yet pertaining to the Department of Education, but he has sent a letter instructing Linda McMahon, the secretary, get ready because change is going to be coming. We don’t exactly know what that looks like, but we do know that there has been a groundswell of support for essentially deconstructing the consolidation of education all the way in D.C. and bringing it back to the states, which, you know, it does make a lot more sense. And it seems like that’s the direction they’re leaning. I wanted to get your thoughts on this.
SPEAKER 13 :
Well, education is one of the most bureaucratized things. More than half the employees in public education are not teachers. And authority starts way up at the top. Federal government gives money to states with strings attached. And so to break that system is the first step toward real education reform. and you’re a you’re a homeschool mom and a christian school mom uh i would imagine that you love your children and the parents are the natural guardians of the children and they are fully competent to direct their education through high school and we should get back to that and that’s what’s wrong with the system more than half the money doesn’t get to the school and that’s horrible yeah and you know sometimes i i get angry about it and say If they just took the half the money they saved by getting rid of the bureaucracy and burned it, it would be a net gain because the rules are also very bad and they’re numerous and impenetrable and top up from the top on down and made by people who are not teachers. And there’s no use in that.
SPEAKER 21 :
That’s a very good point. And I was stunned when I learned how much they were spending per pupil in Ohio. And I was looking at this across the country, even in the state that I’m in, Texas, for what we paid for our children’s private Christian education. And it’s a sacrifice for families to do this. It was still less than what the states were spending per pupil in public education. But yet the results were not the same. How in the world did we get there?
SPEAKER 13 :
Well, we bureaucratize the system. You know, reading skills in America are atrocious. Math skills are atrocious. There was a big study in the Bush administration. They can compare math scores across nations. It’s the same. uh first graders in america are about as good as anybody anywhere and every year until the senior year they decline until by the senior year american students are at just above third world levels that means just above levels where many kids don’t even go to school and that’s just wasted time uh scientific pseudo-scientific experiments compelled from above And, you know, it’s a national goal that every kid should learn by the end of the third grade. Every kid can learn to read in kindergarten because they’re made to read, the natural human ability. And they don’t do it. And, you know, the fight, you know, I think hard times are coming. I think we’ve put the economy awash with money and debt, and we’ve got to work our way out of that. And I think if Trump gets done all the devolutions he intends to do, it’ll be an achievement on the level of Abraham Lincoln, and it’ll probably be about that hard, too. But it’s very worth doing.
SPEAKER 21 :
Worth doing and very difficult to do. One of the things that I know that you all do and you talk about, it’s part of your you know, your mission at Hillsdale’s is liberty evangelism through education, which I love. And I know our founders were, were very keen on an educated populace because they understood that without that education, I mean, liberty becomes more and more difficult to attain. If you don’t know what your rights are and you don’t know what your, your government can do and cannot do. Uh, they wrote about it extensively. As you know, we talk about it on the program. I mean, the Federalist Papers, they meant they discuss it, uh, when you look at the way that the system is set up and I’m not a conspiracy theorist by practice, but every now and then I, you know, I see the way that some things are structured and I go, if I wanted to make the populace dumb and separate them from their, from, from, and really kind of separate them from the levers of power and reduce their individual liberty and expand government, I would work overtime to make sure they were as little educated as possible. And honestly, the way, you know, we talk about bureaucratizing the system and, I mean, it seems like that was the the goal of orchestrating the system that way. I mean, and now I look at everything and I used to feel like I can’t say that publicly. That sounds too far out there, but it really doesn’t anymore. Dr. Rahn, I got to say, it really doesn’t seem like it’s too far out there anymore.
SPEAKER 13 :
The original idea was high minded a long time ago, 100 years, more than 100 years. things and run everything through experts doing scientific analysis, everything would get better. But, you know, you just made a point from book five of Aristotle’s Politics. How do tyrants perpetuate themselves? Because people don’t like to live under despot. And his answer is they forbid privacy and high thoughts and friendship. And sure enough, the way they run the schools today, compliance is a very high priority. In other words, compliance means I make a rule and you obey it. And so that is a direct and obvious and explicit argument, sorry, object of public education today. You’re right about that.
SPEAKER 21 :
You wrote in your editorial over at the Washington Examiner, You touched on something that you wrote 25 years prior, that government cannot make us learned by any more than it can make us courageous or just. We want to be these things by nature. And if we are to become so, we must strive. Give us a chance and we’ll do it. Subject us to constant intrusion from above and we will be impeded. Nowhere is our entitlement to freedom clearer than in the way that we learn. The federal experiment in education, you write, has failed. It’s time for an act of restoration. What does that restoration look like?
SPEAKER 13 :
Well, we should copy the founders in most everything. But one thing is they gave the biggest gift to education that has ever been given to it. They gave it 164th of the Western lands of the United States in the Northwest Ordinance. And they extended it. So eventually it was what for? It was one eighth of the Western lands by the time we got to California. And this money, this land, which the federal government owned, was given to the states as an endowment for education in each township. It’s very good. And Hillsdale is in the Northwest Territory, and the 16th section of our township is close to the campus. And if you go look at the deed, I’ve never done it, but I’m confident, you’ll see that it traces back to a gift from Virginia to the federal government and then to the state on the provision that the state would use it for education in our township. So, you know, one thing that might happen if they devolve their Department of Education is they should give block grants to the states. And then, you know, by the way, that’s the first step. The second step is you have to get authority and action down near the school. But school reform, there’s a rave of school reform crossing the country right now. And just about every kind of charter school and private school does better than the public schools. And the reason for that is the moving force and authority is in the parents and the teachers who know the children. And so that reform, and that has to go very far. There are about 11 million people working in public education in America. of them are teachers and teachers assistants. Well, that other half, you know, we actually have an idea what the numbers should be because Hillsdale College has helped to found about 100 charter schools. And we don’t take any money from the government, they never pay us anything. But we know that in those schools, it’s about one non teacher for every six to eight teachers. And so just do the math, right? If you take what is it round about 6 million people And if you got rid of four sixths of them, two thirds of them, that’d be a very large savings. And that money could be spent in the schools. And another thing to know about education is it’s one of those kinds of things that’s easy to understand and hard to do. Everybody knows. You have to learn to read and write and do arithmetic. Those are the human skills. Everybody knows you need knowledge of the scientific natural world and of the human world. And everybody knows that there are facts to discover in both areas. And so we know what to do. And I like to say education is not rocket science until it gets to be rocket science. And that comes a bit later. And then you need a rocket scientist to teach it. And a bureaucrat doesn’t know how. That’s a very good point. yeah it’s you know it’s really true i mean you know i i there’s a certain republican i won’t even name him and he always go used to say i’m teaching when he’s a governor i’m teaching every child in my state to read and i asked his chief of staff once i said wonder if he’s ever taught any child to read and then another point is every child learns to read in the same way they learn to talk and they learn to talk of their own Now, the reason it’s not so hard to teach a kid to read is because they’ve learned these sounds in speech that stand for things in nature, and you just teach them how the sounds apply to letters on the page. And they start sounding them out, and three, four, six months later, they can read. And that’s because they’re made to be able to do that. Of course they can do it. And they even want to do it. I was with my granddaughter this morning. She’s four, and she’s smarter and better looking than anybody else’s grandchild. But it’s also true. I was reading something. She was sitting on my lap, and she starts noticing the letters, and she finds the letters that spell her name. And why does she do that? In my family, we have boxer dogs. They never do anything like that, and they never will. So this whole thing is just… Taking a thing, Trump is talking about common sense a lot. Common sense, if you just look at education, it’s not that hard to figure out. As I say, it’s just very hard to do. And the authority should be in the people who do it.
SPEAKER 21 :
Amen to that. Dr. Larry Arnn with Hillsdale College. We appreciate you. We appreciate Hillsdale because there’s not a lot of places like Hillsdale left. Maybe that’ll change in the future. That’s the goal. Dr. Arnn, a pleasure to talk with you. We’d love to have you back. And you, Dan. Thank you very much. Have a great week. God bless. I have a friend who’s who’s sending out this editorial and good friend of mine. But they’re saying the line is, while the CR isn’t a major one for conservatives, it isn’t a loss either. As long as Republicans follow through with spending cuts in the upcoming budget process.
SPEAKER 22 :
OK, see, this is my problem. When have they ever done that?
SPEAKER 21 :
When? Bueller? Nobody, because they never have done it. That is my problem. That’s my problem. So you say this, we’re always told, well, you got to do this now. And then you can get this later. I got to pass the health care bill to find out what’s in it. This is what it sounds like to me. You got to do this right now. And then we’ll get the real cuts later. I need my Republican friends to really my hardcore Republican Party friends to understand the absolute sickening distrust that we all have for hearing that because we have heard it over and over and over and over again. And then later in the editorial, now if Congress fails to follow through on the spending cuts, if reconciliation becomes yet another excuse, then the anger, oh, so then we can get angry, but not this time and not the time before that and the time before that and the time before that and the time before that. I’m done with other people who keep stringing me along to tell me when I can be angry. I’ll be pissed off right now. Thank you very much. Cain, today in stupidity.
SPEAKER 14 :
All right, Juan, this is cut 22. Whoopi Goldberg, of all the talk of the economy today. This is what she says.
SPEAKER 15 :
Listen. This helped send the market into freefall yesterday, which some mega folks are blaming on the Biden economy. So let me just remind you about the Biden economy. OK, please do. The economy added 16.6 million jobs and gross domestic products.
SPEAKER 14 :
She couldn’t lie any harder if she sat on it. It’s not happening. Yeah, that’s not true.
SPEAKER 21 :
