Joey Hudson in for Mike today. We have a lot to cover. Of course, a shooting in New York City yesterday left four people dead. The shooter eventually took his own life. We have all the details on this breaking story and a lot of other things to talk about today, too. Bill Maher actually admitted that President Donald Trump was right about the tariffs, that we aren’t going into a depression, that maybe these tariffs are a good thing. for our nation’s economy. We’re going to cover that. And a Phoenix father is being charged with neglect after he left his four children, ages less than seven years of age, in a hot vehicle, locked in a car, when it was 95 degrees in Phoenix, which means it was about 125 in the car. And guess what the father was doing? He was visiting a porno video shop. When police confronted him after reports of these children being left in the car, he denied that it was even his vehicle. We have that story for you as well. And the Cincinnati police say that about 100 people were watching as a man was beaten. In the streets in Cincinnati earlier, this was Sunday I believe it was, 100 people watched, only one person dialed 911. Many of the people were actually videoing this beating as it took place. And also, in my home state of South Carolina, we had a similar situation of high school football players at a football camp this summer, back earlier in July, where three black kids beat a white kid, one of their teammates, because they say that he had used the N-word in a group chat. The victim denies that he used the N-word. And there’s no evidence based on the reports. We got that story for you as well. What’s going to happen to these kids? What should happen to these kids? Horrifying day in New York City yesterday. Just after 6.30 p.m. yesterday, during the rush hour in Manhattan, a gunman walked into 345 Park Avenue. This is a high-profile skyscraper office building there in Manhattan. It houses Blackstone, the NFL headquarters. And we’re going to get to that in just a minute, the motive. The shooter opened fire with a rifle. There are images that have been released since then of showing him literally just walking on the sidewalk out front of the building carrying this what looks like an AR-15 style rifle. He goes into the building and starts shooting. Four people lost their lives, including a New York City police officer. New York City Police Commissioner briefed the press on exactly what happened yesterday. In cut number two, he describes and identifies who the shooter is.

According to our law enforcement partners in Las Vegas, Mr. Tamora has a documented mental health history. His motives are still under investigation, and we are working to understand why he targeted this particular location. 345 Park Avenue is a commercial office building whose tenants include the NFL, Rooted Management, KPMG, and Blackstone. At this time, four of the five victims are deceased, including our NYPD cop.

The NYPD police officer was identified as 36-year-old Dinarul Islam. He’d been on the force for three years. He was working security detail at this building when he was shot in the back. New York officials, the mayor and the police commissioner and others, gave us additional information. Because, you know, anytime something like this happens, there’s a lot of speculation. What happened? Why did he do this? And this was a bit of an unusual situation because this young man is a Las Vegas resident, 27 years old, a former football player. The police commissioner, Tish, said that Mr. Tamira had driven across state lines with his vehicle having been seen as recently as 424 yesterday afternoon in Columbia, New Jersey, before he crossed over the river into Manhattan. Officers found a rifle case with rounds, a loaded revolver, ammunition and magazines, a backpack and medication prescribed to Tamira. The vehicle was searched by the NYPD’s bomb squad but found it to be clear of any explosives. Police do believe that he acted alone. Through documents that they received, they said that he had a concealed carry permit that was issued on June 14th of 2022. It was valid for five years. Tamir also carried a private investigator license and had a misdemeanor for trespassing not amounting to burglary in 2023. Earlier records show that this young man played football at Grenada Hills Charter in Grenada Hills, California. It’s about 25 miles northwest of Los Angeles. He had also worked as a security guard at a Las Vegas casino. So why was he going into this particular building? And again, this area is a very nice area of New York. It’s a lot of upscale shopping. It’s an area I know well, because when Peg and I are in New York, we stay about a block over at the National Republican Women’s Club, which is on 51st Street and 5th Avenue. This was in the 51st, 52nd Street, Park Avenue area. So just a block or so over where… the area that we consider our home in New York City. He had a rifle, of course, and it’s just chilling to see the images that are being released of him walking down the sidewalk holding that gun before he goes into the building. So what’s going on here? Why did he choose that building? Well, in addition to financial services and other offices in there, it was also the home of the NFL. And according to New York Mayor Eric Adams, Tamura is blaming his previous concussions while playing football, and he has suffered medical conditions since then. He’s blaming the NFL for his condition, and he wants his brain to be studied to see how these things could be prevented in the future. Here’s Mayor Eric Adams in cut number nine.

It appears as though he was going after the employees at the NFL, the building 345 housed the NFL’s coach. company there as well but we’re still going through this the suicide note to zero in on the exact reason but at this time it appears as though something that is attached to his belief he experienced cte from playing in the nfl so that’s the reason as we uh as we know it right now

that this young man had struggled with mental health issues that he believes were caused by football. And, of course, the NFL office, their headquarters, is in this building. And he was going there, I’m assuming, with the idea that he would possibly shoot people in the NFL office. Now, as you can imagine, this has renewed the call for more gun control by the Democrats. A lot of Democrats coming forward saying that if he hadn’t had the gun, of course, he wouldn’t have been allowed to or he wouldn’t have been able to go into this building and take these lives. We know that’s not the case. We know that, look, if there had been other people armed there, maybe he would have been stopped earlier. Maybe. We’ve seen this happen in other situations. But controlling access to guns is not going to make anyone any safer. There’s a meme being circulated on social media. It says, Chicago is gun-free over 1,550 shot already this year. I don’t know if that’s, I haven’t verified that number, but I know there’s a lot of people have been shot in Chicago. It goes on to say, Maine can carry concealed firearms without a permit. A father in Phoenix… was arrested for leaving his four children in a hot car while he was, wait for it, in an adult video shop watching porno. In a porno shop watching video while his four little babies, age seven and less, were sitting in that hot car. Fortunately, someone saw it. The police intervened. They broke the window, got them out. This idiot, denied that the car was his when he was first confronted by the police. We’re going to get into that as time permits. And the Cincinnati police chief says that out of 100 people or more who watched and recorded the violent attack on the streets of Cincinnati, you may have seen the video. We have it for you here. If you’re watching this on the Salem News Channel, we’ll share it with you in just a minute. More than 100 people watched and recorded this horrible attack primarily by blacks, on this white man, middle-aged white man, slammed into the ground. Another white woman came over to try to help him. They slammed her to the ground so hard that her head hit the pavement and it knocked her out instantly. Out of the hundred or more people standing around cheering this on, The police chief says that one person, they got one phone call to 9-11 reporting this violence. And we’ll get to the story in my home area of upstate South Carolina where, again, I hate to pull race into it, but you had three young black men, who are football players at D.W. Daniel High School in upstate South Carolina, beat one of their white teammates at a football camp. And get this, it was the Fellowship of Christian Athletes camp where this took place. Now, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, they’re not necessarily responsible for these guys’ actions, but it was their camp at Presbyterian College. in South Carolina. They beat him because they claimed that he used the N-word. There’s no evidence to suggest that he did. And so far, as best we can tell, they’re only going to be suspended for one game. Well, we need to – it’s become the big news of the day. The news broke over the weekend when a video was posted on social media showing this assault. It’s very clear. Now, there’s been a lot of excuses. People saying, well, he shouldn’t have used the N-word. Well, again, he says he didn’t use the N-word. I’m going to share a letter that he released that denies this. And so far, to my knowledge, no one has been able to prove otherwise. But even if he did use the N-word, does it justify… three of his teammates beating him to the point that, according to him, his doctor says he will no longer be able to play contact sports. He will miss his senior year of high school football. And the reports are that these three thugs were only going to be suspended for one game. Well, I think they should be suspended from football, period. They should never play another football game at DW Daniel High School. And if the coach, if that’s his solution, the coach needs to be fired, too. So a lot to cover. Breaking News Day, 800-655-6453. The shooter yesterday entered this New York office building just around 6.30 p.m. It was during the rush hour, people trying to get home. And this was a very nice area of New York City. I’m very familiar with the area. It’s kind of like my second neighborhood. When Peg and I are in New York, we stay just a block over. This was in the 51st, 52nd Street area. This was on Park Avenue. We’re over near Rockefeller Plaza, where we stay at the Republican National Women’s Club when we’re there. So a nice area, nice office building. Blackstone has their headquarters there. The NFL has their headquarters there. And based on the information we have now, we think that’s why he chose this building, was because he was trying to make a point and deliver a message to the NFL. Because the story is that he… had been injured, had head injuries from playing high school football, and that as a result of that, he’d had some mental health issues. And in his suicide note, he’s asking that his brain be studied, researched, to maybe help people in the future. This young man traveled across the country with his guns, and shot and killed four people and then himself. Officer did a rule, Islam, was 36 years old, been with the NYPD for three years. Mayor Eric Adams yesterday said he is a true blue New Yorker. He immigrated here from Bangladesh, served the city, gave his life ultimately in trying to protect it. Here’s the mayor.

Yeah, I was calling in reference to the South Carolina high school football incident there. Yes. I picked up on your comment that the student that was attacked is going to miss his senior year of football. So that puts these kids in the 17-, 18-year-old range. They need to be tried as adults, and they don’t have to worry about getting kicked off the team. They need to be in jail. with no bail because they’re violent people. And send a message that this kind of behavior won’t be tolerated. Regardless of white, black, I think there’s too much of this culture of reverse discrimination that you can’t speak out when it’s blacks attacking whites. Yeah. Because it’s inappropriate somehow. And when it’s reversed, you know, it’s taunted all over the media. You know, we’ve got to protect these poor kids that attacked them for some reason. I don’t get it. Yeah. And then we go to Cincinnati and we see the same thing amplified with hundreds of people and no one even picking up the phone to call 911. You know, one lonely person does.

Yeah, I mean, with 100 people there, they could have easily stepped in and prevented this kind of brutal beating. And, you know, they ate it in a bed by standing there watching, taping, and not even calling 911. I mean, they were part of the problem.

Same thing with these high school kids because there were other teammates – that can be seen in the video. And if you’re watching this on the Salem News Channel, we’re going to put that up in just a moment where you can see the situation in South Carolina. This young man had the sense, when he realized something was wrong, to put his phone down across the room, hit record, and he has the evidence of what happened. Otherwise, it would probably be his word against others. But it’s just painful to watch this happen. And, again, the South Carolina situation is a bit different in that there’s all – it appears that this was trying to be silenced, swept under the rug, because it happened July the 7th, almost a month ago. And we’re just hearing about it over the weekend because it appears that the family posted this video – on social media and it grew from there and in fact we just this morning uh… just a few minutes ago uh… breaking out of south carolina the school board for this school released a statement saying that the full board of trustees of the school district of pickens county was made aware late last week that a very serious incident occurred at a school sponsored football camp at presbyterian college so the school board in this school district did not even know this had happened until late last week, which is about Friday was when the video first surfaced. So to me, this is a clear cover-up on the part of the high school coaches and probably the principal and the people. Surely the coaches let the principal at the high school know. If not, shame on them. And I think the coaches are going to need to be held responsible, too. Now, they can’t watch these kids every minute. This happened in their dorm room. They were at a local college at this football camp. But if these coaches, if they just made the school board aware of this late last week, it had been over, what, three weeks? They were thinking it was going to go away. They were going to try to sweep this under the rug and hope it didn’t get out. And the reports are, and we don’t have this confirmed, reports are that they were going to suspend the three boys, the three attackers, for one game. Well, those three young men need to learn a lesson of their lifetime. They need to be taken off of the team. They should never play another football game at Daniel High School in upstate South Carolina. Their football career should be over, just like the young man that they beat. He won’t get to play either because of medical conditions. He wrote, the young man, the victim wrote, that he is going to miss his senior year in high school football, not because of an injury on the field, but because injuries as a result of this attack. 800-655-6453. Should the coach of this football team and any of the other coaches who had a part of trying to cover this up, and that’s what it appears to happen, should they lose their job as well?
