SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, boy, am I in a mood. I’m fired up. I just got into a knock-down, drag-out screaming match with Mark Davis moments ago because he apparently doesn’t like… The older lady, the senior citizen working at Target with the red T-shirt that had Charlie Kirk’s name on it, and there’s some young lunatic leftist who confronted the woman. Because she had a Charlie Kirk shirt on. It was red. Target people wear red T-shirts. And Mark went into schoolmarm mode and said, well, that’s not the company prescribed uniform. How would you like it if they had a red T-shirt on that said Barack Obama? He’s on the side of the young girl who cursed out the Target lady. But see, I was trying to tell Mark the happy ending to the story. There’s a GoFundMe that’s been established for the elderly Target lady, and it’s raised thousands and thousands of dollars. It was ostensibly to send her on vacation. Now it’s going to maybe be enough to let her retire so she doesn’t have to work at Target at 70 years old or however old she is. And Mark and I got into it. I mean, he plays this contrarian game better than anybody. And I love the guy. Somebody texted Mark and me after the exchange. Don’t worry, we’ll play it at some point. Somebody texted me and said, or texted Mark, actually, and he shared it. He said, Mark, you and Mike are a combination of Meathead and Archie Bunker plus bosom buddies. You are both so great and awesome. And by the way, Mark, why are you such a Meathead? I love that. So we’ll revisit that some more. For the record, here’s the video that the young leftist took. I think she was the one running the camera because she confronted this older Target lady. She simply had a red T-shirt on with an American flag, and it said Freedom and Charlie Kirk on it. And the young woman was offended that it had Charlie Kirk on it. Here’s what the exchange –
SPEAKER 08 :
captured on apparently her cell phone here’s how this went down they let you wear that shirt here yes why why are you taking my picture why are you wearing that shirt you’re working it’s not a red shirt i can wear red any red shirt it’s not a plain shirt i don’t It doesn’t have to be a Charlie Kirk shirt. Yes. Oh, yes, I know. Are you stupid? No. Why the fuck would you wear that? You’re at work at Target. That’s not a Target shirt. It’s not a plain red shirt. You support a racist. It’s not racist. You support a racist. He’s not a racist. Yes, he is. Yes, he fucking is. I’m sorry, but I’m not going to stand here and argue with you. You’re not. You should go get your manager. You should not be allowed to wear that at work. Unacceptable. Un-f***ing acceptable. That’s your opinion. The opinion is he’s a f***ing racist and you support him. That’s your opinion. And you should not be allowed to wear that. This is going to be taken above your head. That’s insane. Insane. Have a nice day. And f***. Piece of s***.
SPEAKER 04 :
Cursing this lady out and going to the manager because she’s got a Charlie Kirk red T-shirt on. Well, here’s the… And there’s Mark. Now, in fairness to Mark, he didn’t see the video. I’ll bet if he’d have seen the video and saw how obnoxious the leftist was, this piece of… garbage attacking this older woman. And I think she’s a nurse because guess what? She’s been revealed and she has been shamed. And now she’s being criminally investigated for harassment. And on top of that, a GoFundMe was established for the lady. It’s now into the thousands and thousands and thousands of dollars. It was first to get her a vacation, but now I think they’re going to raise so much money for her, she’s going to be able to take the money and retire. And there’s Mark. Look, I’m teasing Mark because I love the guy. He and I are dear friends. He likes to play that contrarian role. Eric Doherty over at X reports that police are investigating that incident where the leftist woman named Michaela Ponce harassed and berated the lady for wearing a Charlie Kirk shirt while working in Target. Michaela Ponce’s employer, something called N Low Health, says police are investigating. They’re being flooded with calls. Enloe Health, the Young Progressives employer, posted, The Chico Police Department is investigating a social media post on the personal account of an Enloe Health employee. We are deeply concerned about the tenor of this post. And the response it is creating from individuals of all political persuasions. We ask for patience and calm as we conduct our own internal investigation. In the meantime, we’re relying on the expertise of the Chico Police Department to investigate any potential criminal activity or threats related. Currently, extremely high call volumes related to this post are overwhelming Enloe Health’s switchboard and clinic phone lines, negatively impacting our patients’ ability to reach clinical staff. Thank you for helping us ensure patients who need medical treatment can reach a caregiver. That’s how bad it’s gotten, because people are so fired up over this dumb, dumb, young Karen. I’m going to talk to the manager. And how much… grace and poise and professionalism that older lady had, the target employee, huh? What a great story. What a happy ending to a story. That young woman’s going to get everything she deserves. 800-655-MIKE, 13 past the hour. It’s Wednesday. We’re in the Relief Factor studios. We’ve got nothing but good news. We’ve got a lot of good news. There’s a lot of great stories to cover, some not-so-great stories to cover. Minneapolis, I feel so sorry for you. I can’t even imagine what it must be like to live in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I saw the clip of the police chief yesterday, and I thought, this is impossible. This is not, there’s no way a police chief is so against the enforcement of our laws, that he would stand up there and make a complete fool out of himself like he did. I’ll play that clip for you here in just a moment as well. If you want to react to the Target thing, this story, feel free to share your comments with me. 800-655-MIKE. I saw a lady over the weekend at Disney World. She had a Charlie Kirk Freedom shirt. I said, thank you for wearing that shirt. I love it. She said, yep. We miss him every day. I said, we sure do. I wish more and more people wore these freedom shirts and honor a young man who a lot of people think might have wound up president of the United States someday. What he said about radical Islam… and the assault on Western civilization. I’ve got that clip, too. I mean, I’ve just got nothing but good stuff. SPEAKER 01 :
Almost every single indicator on the economy is really strong. I mean, we’ve had 4% economic growth. The average family after inflation, after taxes, is $1,200 richer than they were at the start of the year. We used to measure inflation. You know, the one barometer we always used was the gas price. That’s found by about 30%, the lowest in five years.
SPEAKER 06 :
In the Relief Factor studios on Salem News Channel and Salem Radio Network, here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 04 :
I am in such a wonderful, positive, optimistic mood. I know what’s coming in 2026 for our country. We’re about to enter Christmas week. I’m going to get to spend time with my family. I hope you will, too. I am in a state of absolute shock at our Angel Tree campaign. I want to tell you a little story about how all the Salem people media hosts band together at Christmas time to bless children of American prisoners. I want you to know why what you’ve done is so special. I want to give so much credit to a couple of my colleagues. I mean, all of us do these campaigns at the same time. And I don’t like competing. Sometimes some of our executives like the competition factor and all that, and that’s all right, but we don’t like doing that. We have our own audiences. I know there’s some crossover audiences, but not everybody who listens to Mike Gallagher listens to Hugh Hewitt. Not everybody who listens to Chris Stegall listens to Mike. I mean, we’re all in our own lanes doing the best we can, and I am blessed with incredible colleagues. In fact, two new colleagues that we’re going to be announcing today, because if you haven’t heard the news, check out my X feed at Gallagher Show. The Charlie Kirk slot, the Charlie Kirk time slot, has now been permanently filled with two just shining stars of conservatism. and both of them are going to be on the show today. Kudos to Alex Marlow from Breitbart, who’s taking over noon to one, and to Scott Jennings… the CNN contributor who’s taking over 1 to 3. Alex Marlow and Scott Jennings are going to begin the Charlie Kirk time slot of noon to 3 Eastern. And stations carry our shows in various different day parts all over the country. It doesn’t necessarily mean that everybody will take them noon to 3, but I’m so happy for both of them, and I can’t wait to talk to Scott and Alex today on the Mike Gallagher Show. And I’ve worked with Hugh Hewitt for years. And Hugh is as excited about his Angel Tree success as I am. Hugh had a goal this year of getting 2,600 kids sponsored. I’m going to give you these numbers so you understand why this audience is so remarkable. And you know the program. You know the ministry. $30 is going to send a Christmas present, a Bible, and a personal message from an incarcerated parent to a child who’s going to be without their parent this Christmas. You’re going to save Christmas for thousands of children. It’s called Prison Fellowship, and it’s the Angel Tree Campaign. Now, let me give you some numbers. Congratulations to Hugh, who’s about to close in on his goal of 2,600 children. Remember, it’s $30 a child. Hugh’s almost at his goal. Chris DeGaulle is going to hit his goal. He’s got a goal of 2,600 children. He’s right now at like 2,400. He’s about to hit his goal. Now, my goal was a little higher because of the historical impact. performance of my audience. In the past, you have just soared. It’s kind of extraordinary. So they gave me a big goal, 4,333 kids. So while I’m excited for my colleagues with their 2,600 children goal, I knew I had a big task ahead of me with 4,333 kids. Right now, we have sponsored 7,383 children. We’re over 3,000 kids more than our goal. You have donated more than $220,000 in about two and a half, three weeks. This is an absolute miracle. It shouldn’t be this way. You look at this on paper. I mean, look, I’m proud and excited for Hugh and Chris and our whole team. 2,600 kids is a lot of kids. 78 or 70-whatever-hundred kids? 7,000 kids? I mean, how many are there? 7,383 children who are going to have Christmas because of you? That’s not impressive. That’s a miracle. This is an absolute blessing and miracle that God has delivered. And I am just incredibly thankful for that. I’m not going to ask you for a goal. I’m not. I’m going to just put this over. We’ve got a couple more days left. I mean, tomorrow’s really our last day before the holiday season, for me at least, kicks in. Joey Hudson’s going to hold down the fort. He does a remarkable job with all of our campaigns, and I know you love Joey, and Joey loves doing it. I don’t know where the number’s going to go, but right now it’s at 7,383 kids, which is… I’m gobsmacked. MikeOnline.com if you’d like to contribute. That’s all I’ll say. And I’ll say thank you. MikeOnline.com. Thank you, thank you, thank you. MikeOnline.com. Wow. There’s nothing that can happen that can put me in a bad mood. Nothing. In fact, there’s nothing but good news in the world of news. I’ve got some breaking news. Congressman Dan Newhouse, a RINO Republican from Washington State, he was one of the few Republicans who voted to impeach President Trump. He just announced moments ago he will not seek re-election in 2026. Good. I mean, one by one, we’ve got to replace these squishy RINOs with people who are committed… to an America First agenda, an America that appreciates obeying the law, following the rules. When I first saw the clip of the police chief of Minneapolis, I said, that’s got to be AI. There is absolutely no way a police chief in America would throw his fellow law enforcement officers under the bus in this manner. ICE officers, and I like to say officers rather than agents, ICE officers are law enforcement. They are paid to enforce the law. Do we or do we not have an obligation to enforce America’s immigration laws? It’s not a trick question. I’m not trying to be provocative. Do we or do we not? have an obligation to enforce our existing immigration laws that are on the books. I’d like to ask Chief Brian O’Hara of Minneapolis that question to see how he would answer it. Because get a load of what he said yesterday at a press conference.
SPEAKER 03 :
It’s especially personal to me, having been raised a Catholic, to be in a Christian church this morning as we are approaching Christmas. And I cannot help but think of what is happening in our city today and how that echoes with how outsiders have been treated for thousands of years. How Mary and Joseph themselves were considered outsiders and forced to stay in a barn. That’s what we’re getting ready to commemorate as Christians around the world, while all of this fear is happening right here in our town.
SPEAKER 04 :
He’s standing there comparing criminal illegal immigrants to Mary and Joseph in the barn, in the manger. It’s a police chief of Minneapolis, Minnesota. What that must feel like to sell your soul as a law enforcement officer because of a woke agenda. What that must be like. I mean, I can’t even imagine. He’s a cop. He’s the top cop in Minneapolis. And he’s decrying fellow law enforcement officers who are doing their job. And they’re being harassed. They’re being beat up. They’re being shot at. They’re being targeted. There’s apps that reveal where there’s going to be an immigration raid. And then people, a bunch of leftists, apparently like Brian O’Hara, show up and harass and try to obstruct the enforcement of our immigration laws. I’m going to ask you the same question I would ask Brian O’Hara, the Minneapolis police chief. Do we or do we not have an obligation to enforce existing immigration laws? I’m going to put that question to you. 800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453. Please join me and give me an answer to that question. I want you to flood my phone lines with a simple answer to a simple question. Do we or do we not have an obligation to enforce existing immigration laws? 800-655-6453. Call or text. Join us here on the Mike Gallagher Show.
SPEAKER 06 :
From the wild world of D.C. politics to America’s culture clash, brace yourself for the reality check you’ve been waiting for. The one and only Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 04 :
We’ve got a lot of good things going on around here. It was announced earlier today that… Alex Marlow and Scott Jennings will take over the Charlie Kirk time slot here at Salem Media. I’ll tell you what, this Scott Jennings guy, he’s got something going on. I mean, we have this Angel Tree Christmas campaign we do every year, and a couple of weeks ago I said, it would be kind of neat if I could auction off some of your… We had five signed Scott Jennings books, and they sold out in about 45 seconds. We raised a couple thousand dollars for the kids. We had five signed Scott Jennings books, and they sold out in about 45 seconds. We now have closing in on 8,000 sponsored children through the Angel Tree campaign that we do every year here at Christmastime. And, of course, Scott played a part in that for us. He was just the media-ite most influential folks in the country, most influential media figures in the country. Scott’s number 25 on that list. I do note that I was not on the list, but maybe there’s always next year. And there’s big news about Mike Gallagher and Scott Jennings co-hosting a cruise next year, the Gulf of America cruise, we’re calling it, November 14th through the 21st. You can go to mikeonline.com for details. All of that to say, here he is. He’s a pretty big deal. The new 1 to 3 p.m. host at Salem Media, Scott Jennings. Look, I’m starting to find out you’re kind of a big deal.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, you know, it all started for me at Salem with you. You asked me to come in and co-host a couple of days of your show a while back. And now look at us. We’re going on cruises together. And then pretty soon we’ll be having Thanksgiving dinner together.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s wild. No kidding. No kidding. I mean, and I remember you saying, man, two, three hours a day, it’s a lot. So you’ve come around.
SPEAKER 05 :
I know. Well, the one-hour show has gone very well, and it’s been a good training. And a lot of days, as you well know, there’s so much news, you can’t do it in an hour. So we’re going to do it in two hours. And I feel that way today. In fact, I’m on my way in a car in Washington. I’m on my way over to the White House. I’m going to broadcast my… one-hour show today at 2 Eastern from the White House. And we’ve got all kinds of people coming by. We’re previewing the president’s speech to the nation tonight.
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, that’s wonderful. And you’re going to begin full-time, two full hours, one to three, beginning January the 5th. It was first released at Axios. Big scoop for Axios. Charlie Kirk’s radio slot filled by Scott Jennings and Alex Marlowe. Alex is going to be on the show later today as well. We’ll congratulate him. Scott, we’re just so thrilled. I’m excited about the cruise. Now, you’re a radio guy from Louisville, Kentucky. Have you ever done a listener cruise?
SPEAKER 05 :
I’ve never done this before, although I fly on a lot of airplanes, and I feel like all of my flights are listener airplanes because every time I get on one. I hear from everybody who’s listening and watching out there, but a cruise with listeners, this will be the first. I like cruises. My family likes cruises, so we’re looking forward to it. I didn’t really get to take any vacation this year, so it might be November before. This might be my first vacation in two years, so it’ll be Scott Jennings with his hair let down.
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, and we’re going to have a great time. We’re going to do a lot of stuff on stage. They’ve got a beautiful world stage. It’s a great cruise ship. It’s called the Eurodam from Holland, America. We’re going to set sail out of Fort Lauderdale November the 14th. And I kind of pulled some strings, and I was able to give… My audience, kind of a sneak peek and early access. And there’s already people who have signed up. I’ve gotten a bunch of text messages from people who are signing up. So you can go to MikeOnline.com because, Scott, you and I will kind of hold court every night on the world stage. During the day, we’ll sightsee and do a lot of fun things. And at night, we’re going to talk about getting the country in the right track. Now, is it true that you’ll be doing a magic show every day, or is that just a rumor? There is a rumor, but I might be singing Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat, so brace yourself, because I’ve been known to belt that out. I once played Nicely, Nicely Johnson in Guys and Dolls, and there’s a great number called Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat, and it’s a perfect cruise ship song. I can’t wait to watch you cringe as I break out in song.
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, as a willing straight man for whatever you decide to do, I’m sure it’ll be fine. But I’ve been on this cruise line before, not this ship, but another one. I went up to Alaska a couple years ago with my family. These guys do a great job. The food is amazing. The ships are amazing. Lister, you’ll have a good time on this.
SPEAKER 04 :
It’s a great ship. Well, this is the same ship that we did last year, Chris Stegall and I and a bunch of others. Seb Gorka, we’ve been on this Eurodam. It’s a beautiful cruise ship. And it was the Alaska trip that we took on this ship. Now I guess they go south. For the winter, it’s got a casino on board. They’ve got a beautiful spa. The staterooms are great, and the cruise starts at just about $1,800 per person. So go to, again, mikeonline.com, which is a way for you to get a sneak peek. Congratulations, Scott. Let’s get down to some business here. I loved your take on Susie Wiles. You know, Mark Davis and Chris Stegall and a lot of us were saying, why in the world would the chief of staff of the White House consent to an interview like this with Vanity Fair? It turned out to be a hit piece. It’s terrible. And you said on CNN last night where you constantly have to do missionary work and you’re the Christian facing the lions on that panel hosted by Abby Phillips. You said, look, this is an example of transparency. Here’s Trump transparency at its finest.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yeah, the fact that a reporter can talk to the White House chief of staff for 11 hours over the course of the year, the fact that Donald Trump talks to reporters every day, if you want to ask these people questions, you can, and they will answer them, and they will give you candid, blunt answers. Now, you may not like all the answers, or you may think, wow, that’s eyebrow-raising, But isn’t this what we kind of want out of our government, some kind of transparency? I also thought, frankly, it showed a lot of confidence out of Susie Wiles. Look, she’s a candid, blunt person. And as the dust settled on the whole story, guess what? Donald J. Trump, the president, who’s the only one that has an opinion that matters, said Susie’s my person and I stand behind Susie. So the people that she mentioned. I think they ought to listen up to Suzy because she’s the chief and that ain’t changing.
SPEAKER 04 :
And make no mistake about it. Suzy Wiles is not going to go rogue. So none of this was done without the blessing and approval of Donald Trump. In fact, President Trump was asked about the interview and he said, I stand with Suzy and I’m fine. I mean, go ahead.
SPEAKER 05 :
I was on with the guy Whipple who wrote it and did the interviews last night, and he was comparing his conversations with Susie to anything he ever did with the Biden White House. And he said with the Bidens, it was like, oh, I’ll talk to you, but it has to be on background and you can’t use my name. And if you quote me, you have to send me my quotes for approval. And I mean, it was what you would have expected out of the Bidens. No transparency, completely and totally stage managed. for the purpose of misleading the American people. Contrast that with Trump. He talks, she talks, they tell you what they think. These are blunt people. I think the American people are mature enough to take it, don’t you?
SPEAKER 04 :
Absolutely. Scott Jennings is with us. He’s taking over Charlie Kirk’s time slot beginning January the 5th, along with Alex Marlowe. Scott will be in the 1 to 3 slot. Speaking of Charlie, I found a clip that I’m going to play a little later. We saw this horrific attack in Australia. We’ve seen this horrific attack at Brown University, which I got to believe the thing that the shooter said before he began firing and took those two young lives was Allah Akbar. I guess we’ll find out. But look, the West is under attack. You’ve said it before. You said it the other day. Charlie, the clip that I found. said, Charlie said, Islam is taken over by force. He said, Islam is not compatible with Western civilization, period. Charlie said, I’m not talking about individuals. We’re talking about the macro ideology where many of them gather together and what it metastasizes into. He’s right, isn’t he, Scott? He was right.
SPEAKER 05 :
He absolutely is. You know, the last time I saw Charlie alive, we did a conversation at a Turning Point event And a lot of it centered on the future of the West and the West being under attack and the need for people to stand up and defend the West. That was back in the summer. Ever since that day, I have thought about that conversation because look at the number of incidents that have occurred. Australia is just the latest. And so I feel as strongly about this today as I ever have. You also notice the administration’s national defense documents and their national defense strategy documents. is now focused on the defense of the West and what’s going on in Europe and the mass migration crisis that’s leading to this. So we better wake up. I mean, I don’t know what else to say. Wake up because we’ve allowed this to happen to ourselves in the West. And if we don’t stand up and we don’t wake up, it won’t take long for the West to be overrun and torn down.
SPEAKER 04 :
Scott Jennings, who joins us again beginning January 5th. I don’t want to get in the way. Get on your way to the White House. Give our regards to everybody there. Keep fighting the good fight. And again, congratulations on all the great things that are happening to you, Scott. Well deserved. Thanks, Mike. You’re a legend, and it’s an honor to be your colleague. I’m looking forward to the cruise, and we’ll see you soon. See you soon. Take care, Scott. Merry Christmas. Scott Jennings joining us to talk a little bit about taking over the 1-3 slot. And you’ve got to hear Charlie. It was such a great clip that fits perfectly, and we’ll play it for you to see if you agree or not. Welcome in. SPEAKER 04 :
Every morning when I start my day, I look at Axios. I know they’re kind of an establishment beltway publication, but they do a lot of good work. They had a big scoop today about Scott Jennings and Alex Marlowe. Huge announcement. We’re thrilled to share with you the announcement the revelation that Alex and Scott Jennings will take over the time slot at Salem Media, previously occupied by our friend Charlie Kirk. Of course, Alex, he’s a big deal, too. I joked with Scott Jennings about what a big deal he is, but not to be outdone. Alex Marlow is the editor-in-chief of Breitbart News, where he has held down that position since 2013. He was the very first employee hired by Andrew Breitbart. And you can find his book, by the way, Breaking the Law, Exposing the Weaponization of America’s Legal System Against Donald Trump. And he becomes the new noon to two Eastern Time host on the Salem Media Group. Alex, I’m only a little annoyed that you gave your buddy Chris DeGaulle the first dibs. You were with him this morning. But I’ll take your second. I don’t mind. I’m not complaining.
SPEAKER 02 :
So I got to say, I’m seeing a lot of pictures of Scott Jennings on my social media feed this morning. So people are really excited about Scott. It’s the, hey, hey, I’m over here, too. I got a big show coming up. It’s going to be great.
SPEAKER 01 :
You sure do.
SPEAKER 02 :
Mike, Chris’s team reached out so quickly that I didn’t even know if I was allowed to talk about this. And they were like, yeah, no, no, you can. I’m like, how do you know that? I don’t know. But they were on it. They were right on it. Look, fast, Eddie. It is such a great show.
SPEAKER 04 :
Fast Eddie’s called Fast Eddie for a reason. I mean, Tracy’s just got to get faster.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah, and it does happen to be that his show did come on first. That’s true. There is that. There is that. Give it away. No, but it’s a wonderful family of people. You guys are just wonderful broadcasters and friends. You’ve been so supportive of me as I launched my podcast just over a year ago with Salem. I can’t tell you how well I’ve been treated. And it is, I think as Dennis Prager coined it, calling us the faculty of talk radio. I’ve been a listener to Salem hosts. You included, Mike, for over 20 years. I remember driving up the 405 freeway when I was in high school, listening to your show, among others, Dennis Prager and Larry Elder, who wasn’t with Salem at the time, but then joined. It’s just, you guys are my favorites. So I’m so happy to be here. And I love broadcast radio and what they’re doing to Salem News Channel.
SPEAKER 04 :
And you’re so good at it. I mean, we’re thrilled to have you join our family, and it is a family. And look, it’s no secret, we’ve been through a lot as a company. We lost, of course, Seb Gorka to the White House, and so Seb left the lineup, and then Dennis Prager suffered his fall in California, and he, of course… has been recovering and going through all of those physical challenges. And then Charlie Kirk took over the Dennis Prager time slot, and then look what happened to Charlie. I don’t know about you, Alex, but every time I see a clip today of Charlie, and I played one a few minutes ago of Charlie just earlier this year reminding everyone that radical Islam is incompatible with Western civilization, And I played a minute-and-a-half clip, and it just hurts my heart to know that they killed him. I can’t believe even to this day, Alex, that he’s gone.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah, I can’t either. It’s doubly tough for me because Charlie was my friend. Charlie was all 24-7 work. So I do feel like most people who consumed a lot of his content and were followers of his did get to know him nearly as well as I did. But he got to start writing for me at Breitbart News, as we discussed. I was a weekly guest on his show in the last year of his life. I was a semi-regular fill-in host for him. And we got close as far as, you know, male… relationships go for busy people who don’t live close by. But he was such a special man. He was a really good man. And we need good men in our society. And I think we’re going to miss him a lot for his leadership. I mean, I think he would have been president one day. I don’t think that’s a new take, but I think that would have happened. So that’s, of course, a disaster for the country. But as a person, I’m still hurt by it. And it just kind of gives me chills to talk about it. It’s very unfortunate.
SPEAKER 04 :
Me too, me too. And to the subject that I played with his clip, the other day as the start of Hanukkah, we saw this massacre on Bondi Beach in Australia. There are suspicions of the motivation behind the Brown University killer. I saw a video last night of Jews on a bus in New York City being physically assaulted and harassed by people. Look, we are facing some dark times right now, Alex, and I think the sooner we recognize that Charlie was right, that these radical Islamists – pose an absolute threat to Western civilization, the better off we’ll be. The problem is, I also know of Muslims who denounce this kind of awful, violent behavior. And it’s important, I think, without sounding like a squish, not to condemn everybody who happens to be of the Islamic faith because of the actions of the violent jihadists.
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah, I think that’s true. But I feel like and I’m very just like you, I’m cautious to try to not group everyone in together. I’m always a big supporter of the individual and of the family. And I think generally we get into a lot of trouble when we operate as the collective gets bigger. um i think people need to be have personal responsibility and that’s really the the most important unit in society is yourself think you’re yourself and then your family but overall we have a huge pattern here that’s gone on for decades of people who are completely radical and violent and targeting people who are christians and jews people who are conservative americans people just living the american dream those are their top targets and that is incompatible with what we’re trying to do here in the west It is completely stunning that we need to convince people of this fact. It is just deeply at its heart, this radical Islamic ideology as no place in Western society. We need to be guarding ourselves against it.
SPEAKER 04 :
Alex Marla is with us. He’s going to take over the noon to 1 p.m. hour. And incidentally, for stations all over the country, it all varies sometimes from market to market. Not everybody takes shows live. All of us are in different day parts and time slots. So we say noon to 3 with Alex and Scott, but it may not necessarily be that case in your market. But that’s the live time. Alex begins on January 5th. I almost hesitate to ask you this because I don’t want to drag you into this conversation. No, please drag me in.
SPEAKER 02 :
I’m not getting dragged in.
SPEAKER 04 :
I’m going to drag you. I saw yesterday Megyn Kelly told critics of her relationships with Tucker and with Candace Owens too effing bad. I mean, there is another story going on online that’s kind of off the air, but there are these battles, these rivalries. Candace Owens and Erica Kirk apparently had a meeting yesterday Alex, can I ask you, are you in that world at all? I mean, are you sort of part of these conversations? And why are these young, bright, sharp-elbowed voices at war with one another?
SPEAKER 02 :
Yeah, it’s really fascinating to watch because so many of them I disagree with on some of these points, even though I think they’re smart people and capable people. I got dragged into it a little bit. Candace was reporting screenshots from this group chat that Charlie Kirk was in where we would discuss Israel. And I was one of a few people on that chat. So I got dragged in a little bit on that where we would discuss mostly that Israel was great. But Charlie also had some critiques of it that were shared publicly. publicly, which I think were totally reasonable. And that’s a whole longer conversation. But so I got dragged into a little bit. I don’t know Megyn Kelly very well. I think it’s very odd that she brokered this meeting with Candace and Erica, but it seems like it went great. And that’s why when I heard that was happening, I thought that’s shocking to me because Candace, I think, is just completely lit her credibility on fire. She’s way into conspiracy theory mode. The point I’ve been making is that If you were on the left and you were trying to create a figure to divide MAGA the most, you would create exactly Candace Owens and what she’s doing. So it’s a – maybe she’s not on the left, but she’s certainly doing their work at the moment. And I try to avoid it because – she’s very aggressive online and i try not to give her any additional content for her to respond to because she will respond and then she’ll send hordes of people into your dms online it’s all horrible but it sounds like that erica was very classy and magnanimous and forgiving and i think she looks pretty good in all this and i would have never recommended she take that meeting but from what it sounds like erica comes off great and candace came out a kid just disappointed her own followers
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, here I am, Pollyanna Pete. I wish they’d all get along because we’ve got real enemies going on that we’re up against, and I don’t think it’s folks in that crowd. Alex Marlow, congratulations on the new gig. We’re proud of you. We’re excited for you. Keep fighting the good fight, and I’m really honored to get to spend a few minutes with you here on the Mike Gallagher Show. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and I’ll see you soon.
SPEAKER 02 :
Mike, you’re too kind, and I agree with you.
SPEAKER 04 :
We all got to get along now. Got to unify. Amen. Let’s do it. All right. Thanks, Alex. Alex starts January 5th here in Salem Media.
