Mike sounds the alarm on Republicans “sleepwalking” toward disaster as independents drift left and Democrats notch surprise wins in places like Miami. He backs Trump’s push to nuke the filibuster, warning it’s the only way to force real action on voter ID, crime, borders, and the economy. With redistricting battles heating up and midterm control on the line, Mike lays out why hesitation now could cost conservatives everything. The message is blunt: stop stalling, start governing, or lose the mandate.

SPEAKER 03 :
I’ve got a lot of friends who want to poo-poo things like, well, for the first time in 30 years, a Democrat won the mayoralty in Miami. Oh, there’s this special election in Georgia. First time in 20 years, a Democrat won Georgia. Look, we Republicans can do one of two things. Stick our head in the sand and act like everything’s fine and go to parties and pretend that everything’s going to work out great or we can work our butts off to fulfill the mandate that Donald Trump received when he was elected. If Pam Bondi starts arresting politicians who are corrupt… And if John Thune nukes the filibuster, if we get some Republicans with guts, we’ll be okay. We got a lot of great headwinds, I mean a lot of great wind in our back. We got a lot of great stuff going on. But as John Kennedy put it, Republicans are sleepwalking right now. And we can’t sleepwalk. No sleepwalking allowed. Knock it off. Nuke the filibuster already. Let Trump get his agenda accomplished. We cannot sit around and just hope that things are going to happen. Because they’re not. Here’s Trump. On the campaign trail again, practically. It’s just like a campaign stop. Last night in Pennsylvania. And he was on fire. He was great. It was wonderful to see him out and about. Now look, he’s kind of in a trap. You know him. When he makes up his mind, he’s going to do what he’s going to do. He insists that the affordability narrative is a hoax. And they’re going to pin that on him. And it’s a bit of a trap. Because you’re always going to find things that are hard to afford. Egg prices might be down. But bacon is up. People are having a hard time paying bills. So, look, this is stuff we have to contend with, and we’ve got to face some facts here. And, again, two things. Start arresting people and nuke the filibuster. The filibuster thing is so intriguing to me. It is so amazing to me that people are sitting around and acting like everything’s hunky-dory. It’s not. Independents are voting for Democrats. Why? Any idea? Any reason why independents would say, I’m going to vote for a mediocre, nobody carpetbagger in Miami? First time in 30 years. Now, I don’t know if Miami’s red or blue. I don’t know. I’m in Florida. Florida’s pretty red. But I’m surrounded by Democrats here. So hard to say where we really are with any of this. But we better wake up. Let me give you the wisdom of John Kennedy. He’s like the Will Rogers of the Senate. He’s folksy, and we’ve interviewed him before. I love the guy. Check out what he said yesterday on Fox News.
SPEAKER 02 :
I think that when the American people speak, you better listen to them. And I think that we need, the president and the United States Senate, need to be working on things that moms and dads worry about when they lie down to sleep at night and can’t. And one of the things is the cost of living. And what I’m telling you is there are things we can do that the president can’t do But in order to do it, the United States Senate has to get up off its ice-cold, lazy butt. And you can’t use the excuse, well, the Democrats won’t go along with it. Of course they won’t. But we don’t need their votes. We can do it through reconciliation with a simple Republican majority. Period. End of sentence. He’s right.
SPEAKER 03 :
And, you know, I know there are going to be people who are inclined to say… that he’s disagreeing with Trump, who calls the affordability narrative a hoax. He’s inclined. You’re probably thinking, should we be critical of him for doing so? Again, it’s a bit of a trap, isn’t it? Compare today’s economy with Joe Biden’s economy. Inflation is a fraction of what it was under Biden. Gas prices are coming down. Rents are coming down. The stock market is booming. We know that overall the economy is better under the Trump administration than it was the Biden administration. But you cannot convince people who are struggling… That they’re not struggling. And that’s the problem here. I could sit here and scream to the mountaintops all day long about inflation rates and gross domestic product and stock markets and all that. If you’re having a hard time paying the bills, you’re having a hard time paying the bills. And you’re going to listen to a biased, corrupt media who’s going to blame Trump for that. That’s the problem. It’s frustrating. So I don’t know. 800-655-MIKE, you want to weigh in. I think it’s, we just, for me, it’s important not to pretend that everything’s all right. Because it’s not. And I am quite bluntly terrified of next year and the possibility of losing in the midterms. Because if we lose in the midterms, all hell’s going to break loose. And from where I sit… We’ll only have ourselves to blame. It’ll be the Republicans’ fault. Kennedy is right. Get off your butts, stop sleepwalking, and start advancing the president’s agenda. To me, there’s only one way to do it. End the filibuster. Simple majority, get it over with. And I’m going to break this down for you. A lot of people have texted me over the last few weeks when we’ve been talking about this filibuster debate, saying, can you explain that to me? So coming up, let me explain to you what it means to nuke the filibuster. I’ll give you an explanation so we all understand it. Because that has to go out the window. Thune’s got to do it. Republicans have to have a backbone. Because if we don’t do it, they’re going to do it anyway. So let’s get your take on all of it. 800-655-MIKE. It’s Wednesday, December the 10th here in the Relief Factor Studios. Great to have you with us. Join us. I want to put your voice front and center here on the Mike Gallagher Show. 800-655-MIKE. 800-655-6453. You ready to drop up to 20 pounds or more by the new year? From the wild world of D.C. politics to America’s culture clash, brace yourself for the reality check you’ve been waiting for. The one and only Mike Gallagher.
SPEAKER 03 :
I’ll give you a reality check that you need to hear. First of all, don’t believe people who are panicking about Miami last night who suggest that Miami’s a red city. It’s not. Thanks to our newsman, Roger P. Shulman, he reminded us Trump lost the city of Miami. It’s now a blue city. It is a blue city in the middle of a red state. Well, in the southern part of the red state. And only a few tens of thousands of people voted. Not the end of the world. But there is definitely something going on with independents going left. Independents voting for Democrats. I don’t quite understand it. I thought independents had more sense than that. But then again, if they did, they’d be Republicans. But that’s okay. I don’t want to beat you up if you’re an independent. There’s a real simple solution to all of this. Two things. Finish the redistricting efforts so that we can hold on to the House and the Senate in the midterms. And get rid of the filibuster. So that instead of a 60-vote threshold that’s necessary, it’s 51. And wait until you see all the Trump agenda items that get accomplished. Right now, Democrats can gum up much of what Trump is trying to accomplish due to the filibuster. Get rid of the filibuster. And complete the redistricting. I came across a guy last night on social media. Don’t know who he is. Don’t know, you know, his background. But I had my team vet him. He’s a pundit. He laid out what the midterm landscape would look like by redistricting. The fact is, new polling is out showing that the so-called blue wave media narrative is false. It’s not true. And the Republican state redistricting efforts are going to wipe out the Democrats in the midterm elections. I want to give you this social media influencer and let him lay out for you what this is going to look like.
SPEAKER 01 :
A new poll just dropped and it is shaking the entire midterm landscape. This RMG survey shows Republicans leading the generic ballot by four points. And that is the moment Washington finally realized the map is collapsing for Democrats. For months, media voices insisted a blue wave was coming in. They dismissed every warning sign. They pushed the same message. Republicans are finished. But now the numbers expose the truth. The country is shifting and Trump’s approval is climbing to levels that predict serious losses for the Democrats. This is not a one-off poll either. It matches every real world data point that has been building for months. The redistricting changes alone place Republicans close to a House majority before anyone even votes. Texas adds five new Republican seats. North Carolina adds one. Missouri adds one. Indiana adds two. Ohio adds two. Florida is preparing to add as many as five. When you total those, the GOP crosses the majority line. Democrats can redraw Virginia all they want. They are up against the clock and they are out of time. Then there’s just straight voter registration. The data is great. blunt democrats are losing voters in every key state pennsylvania has watched the democrat advantage collapse by more than 40 since last year north carolina is less than 2 000 registrations away from flipping republican for the first time in history arizona colorado and florida show the same trend this is why party leaders are panicking they know registration shifts are some of the strongest indicators for upcoming elections and those indicators point to a republican hold and possible expansion in 2026 the poll confirms what the numbers already reveal the country is not moving left it is moving right and fast if these conditions hold the democrats walk into a midterm storm that will decide control of congress for years republicans enter with momentum structural advantages and a map that favors them at every level
SPEAKER 03 :
It’s hard to ignore the noise, isn’t it? Because that guy lays out, and he is right, incidentally. I mean, if you look, if you break down the current midterm redistricting status, of course, California picked up five. Utah won for a total of six. Look at Republicans. Texas, plus five. Missouri, plus one. Indiana, plus two. Ohio, plus two. North Carolina, plus one. That’s 11. some pending Republican gains include Kansas with one, Tennessee with one, Alabama with one, Georgia with two, Florida with five, as he said. That’s a total of ten. Look, as far as redistricting goes, things are looking very good right now for the Republican Party. So that’s part A of what needs to happen. Part B? We’ve got to get rid of the filibuster. And I’ve tried and tried and tried again to get people to explain to me why you don’t want that to happen. And if you want to make an effort, please do. 800-655-MIGHT. Because it’s got to happen. And once there’s only a 51-vote threshold rather than 60… Trump’s agenda is going to be fulfilled in an epic way. And 2026 and beyond, we’re going to get this country back. So if these two things don’t happen, we risk losing the country. Here was President Trump last night talking about the need to end the filibuster once and for all.
SPEAKER 08 :
Here’s some of the things that we’d pass if we terminated the filibuster. Voter ID, no mail-in voting, no cash bail, no men and women’s sports, no welfare for illegals. You could go on and on. This is two pages of things we’d do if you did that. Without it, I don’t know that you’d pass anything because you can’t deal with them. They’re really irrational. They really are. But I was happy to see that a tremendous liability to this country, a woman that made herself rich in this country. Nancy Pelosi has quit, and she’ll be out of here pretty soon. I consider that to be a great asset for America.
SPEAKER 03 :
So, look, he got a little shot in at Nancy Mace, but he’s right. He’s correct. And what possible reason, other than… Being an establishment Republican who doesn’t want to upset the apple cart, could you have to disagree? with getting rid of the filibuster. I am all ears. 800-655-6453. Welcome aboard. It’s Wednesday. We’ve got a lot to cover here in the Relief Factor studios. I’ve got exciting news for businesses. If you want to be part of our Angel Tree campaign, because right now we’ve got a lot of kids who are going to get a Christmas morning thanks to you, children of prisoners. Give you a nice update to that happy story. But first things first, let’s dive into the two things that need to happen. This is very simple. You don’t need to be a Rhodes Scholar to know we’ve got to end the filibuster and Republicans have to fulfill the redistricting efforts that will ensure that we keep the House. 800-655-6453. I hope you join us. Every single day it’s a joy to remind you that portions of our show are sponsored by MyPillow. As you know, our friend Mike Lindell, big legal victory last week. SPEAKER 03 :
A lot of calls, a lot of text messages, a lot of reaction to my very simple plan. And it’s not mine. I mean, everybody’s talking about it. We got a clip of Byron Donalds saying it, but Christian says the audio quality isn’t very good. But he also is on record as saying, look, every prominent Republican gets it. The only ones who don’t want to end the filibuster are establishment Republicans who are used to being in the country club. and schmoozing with their fellow country club Republicans and wishing that Trump would go away. Those are the only kind of Republicans who don’t want to end the filibuster. Off and running to your phone calls here in just a moment. Let me remind you a little bit about pain relief that comes from relief factor. Life doesn’t have to be riddled with pain. If you’re living with back, shoulder, neck, leg pain, you know, it’s like a bad relationship. You settle in even though deep down you know it’s not the way it’s supposed to be. That’s what daily aches and pains can be like. You think, well, maybe this is my new normal. It doesn’t have to be that way. Anthony wrote in, I was dealing with debilitating pain. I’ve been taking Relief Factor for about two months. Now I’m back to running my business, fishing, gardening, doing things that really matter. And I can relate. Worked for me, too. I had lower back pain that I figured I had to live with. You don’t. Relief Factor is 100% drug-free. It targets the inflammation that causes pain so you can move better, feel better, and actually enjoy life again. Go to relieffactor.com, relieffactor.com, or call 800-4-RELIEF. 800-4-RELIEF. for the one, the only relief factor. Ending the filibuster. Why is that controversial? Let’s start with Toby in Louisville, Kentucky. Hey, Toby, welcome aboard. How are you? I’m fine. And you, Mike? I’m good, sir. What do you think about President Trump’s desire to end the filibuster?
SPEAKER 04 :
I think it should be ended because I believe that the Democrats are going to end it anyway as soon as they get power again. Bingo. My question is, if the Republicans ended the filibuster, could they pass legislation to… to hold the Supreme Court at exactly nine justices, not to add or detract from the Supreme Court?
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, the way it would work is if the Democrats eliminate the filibuster, if they get in control, and they will, they’ll pack the court with additional Supreme Court justices. To your question, they can do whatever they want if they’ve got control. And just so people know, because a lot of people are a little confused, the filibuster, the Supreme Court confirmations are already exempt. from the filibuster. That was back in 2017 when the Senate eliminated the 60-vote requirement for Supreme Court nominees. I’m glad you called, though. 800-655-MIKE. Here’s Lawrence in Clearwater, Florida. One open line. Hey, Lawrence, Merry Christmas. How are you?
SPEAKER 07 :
How are you doing, sir? Thanks for taking the call. You just touched on the topic about the Supreme Court justices. Yes, sir. And I was also wondering about statehood for D.C. and also for Puerto Rico.
SPEAKER 03 :
Well, that’s what they would do. I mean, they would make Puerto Rico the 51st state. Look, what Democrats would do to America is the stuff of nightmares. And this is what we have to avoid at all costs. The bottom line is… And I’ve never understood. I’ve got friends of mine who are on record as saying, oh, we can’t do that. It’s a sacred cow. You’ve got to keep the filibuster in place. Do you honestly think the Democrats are going to play fair on that issue? For anybody who suggests that we’ve got to leave the filibuster alone, do you truly believe the Democrats won’t end the filibuster the first chance they get? They’ve already said it. A number of them are on record as having said it. Over and over again. Look, good news is coming. Get the redistricting done. Indiana, incidentally, all these states, you’ve got to do the right thing. and start to have the congressional districts accurately reflect the population. If the Supreme Court, incidentally, throws out the way the Democrats have rigged the system by using the Civil Rights Act to change maps, when that happens, that too is going to be a big boom. But let me ask you a question, and I ask this from the heart. I know there’s a lot of noise about Miami. It’s not that big a deal. It’s a blue city. I think it was Laura Loomer, who I follow, and she’s great. I think she’s the one who posted, there’s a warning sign, it’s a bright red city in a bright red state. No, it’s not. It’s a blue city. It’s a Democrat-majority city. Something like 38,000 people showed up last night. They didn’t care about the Miami mayor race. But I do agree with Laura and warriors like her who believe that we are not fighting. Senator Kennedy, Senator John Kennedy said that last night. We’ve got to address the concerns that people have about the challenges that people face. You know, this affordability thing is tricky. Because I think Trump has, with all due respect, fallen into a bit of a trap. He doesn’t often do this, but he’s not going to back off. It doesn’t matter what I or anybody else thinks. He’s not going to back off of calling the affordability narrative a hoax. To people who are struggling, it’s not a hoax. And Democrats are going to hang that around the Republican Party’s neck. Here’s what John Kennedy, the great senator from Louisiana, had to say about the need to help American families and for Republicans to stop sleepwalking, get off their duffs, and do their job.
SPEAKER 02 :
I think that when the American people speak, you better listen to them. And I think that we need, the president and the United States Senate, need to be working on things that moms and dads worry about when they lie down to sleep at night and can’t. And one of the things is the cost of living. And what I’m telling you is there are things we can do that the president can’t do But in order to do it, the United States Senate has to get up off its ice cold, lazy butt. And you can’t use the excuse, well, the Democrats won’t go along with it. Of course they won’t. But we don’t need their votes. We can do it through reconciliation with a simple Republican majority. He’s right.
SPEAKER 03 :
He’s so right. It’s time for Republicans to stop sleepwalking. It feels like, and a lot of it’s perception, because trust me, there’s a lot that is getting done, plenty that is getting done, but there’s at least a perception. Sometimes the optics are more important than reality. And to a lot of people, Pam Bondi doesn’t seem to be doing enough. We’re not moving the needle on the filibuster? What’s John Thune waiting for? I’m going to argue that John Thune is an establishment Republican. Look, it’s important not to consider that phrase a pejorative. I’ve got colleagues and friends who are establishment Republicans. They’re used to doing it a certain way. Trump has upended all of that. There is no more. There aren’t Republican voters anymore. They’re Trump voters. They’re MAGA. The Republican Party has become the MAGA movement. It is an America first Trumpian agenda. And Let’s face it, the deep state, the establishment types, they don’t want to give up. They don’t want to let off the gas. We’ve got to accept that.

SPEAKER 06 :
Republicans have expressed concern about using the tariffs, the revenue for a dividend, saying we should be paying down the national debt. Well, we will.
SPEAKER 08 :
I agree with them on that. But I also think that, you know, we’re making so much money with tariffs that we’ll also be able to make a nice dividend to middle-income people. We’re talking about middle-income and lower-income people. We’re not talking about dividends to rich people.
SPEAKER 10 :
In the ReliefFactor.com studios… Here’s Mike.
SPEAKER 03 :
I appreciate this text on the MyPillow text line from Florida who writes, Hey Mike, Republicans simply do not want to be in the majority. They would rather be in the minority. They’d rather sit around and complain about Democrats. You know, I don’t want to believe that’s true, but there’s a part of me that thinks it is. Because often Republicans don’t act like they want to win. Often Republicans just act like they want to be the oppressed party or something. I don’t get it. I mean, we’ve got the presidency, the House and the Senate. Act like it. We’ve got the Supreme Court. Act like it. Supreme Court’s doing its part. More times than not, the Supreme Court is coming to the rescue of common sense causes. But I… John Kennedy is right. We’re sleepwalking. We’ve got to be as aggressive… and as focused and as purposeful as President Trump is. 25 before the hour, cold comes swiftly to Ukraine. For elderly Jews like Olga, it can be deadly. She’s 79 years old. She lives in a small village where there’s no indoor plumbing, no bathroom, or reliable access to heating. Every day she has to pump water from a well, even in sub-zero temperatures. To use the restroom, she has to walk through the bitter cold to reach an outhouse. Her meager pension is not enough to cover food, medicine, and heat. Poverty threatens to consume her life. But when all seemed lost… She got a nourishing food box, emergency lighting, and a warm blanket. This aid is a life-saving gift for someone like Olga. The visit from the fellowship staff lifted her spirits and reminded her she’s not alone. That’s what the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews is about. Look, for thousands of elderly Jews… Winter isn’t just a season, but it’s a fight for survival. Learn more about the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. Visit UrgentIFCJ.org. SPEAKER 05 :
I’m doing fine, Mike. I’m so glad to talk to you. Thank you. I watch you every day and I really enjoy you.
SPEAKER 03 :
Thanks a million. I appreciate it.
SPEAKER 05 :
I agree with you, which we need to nuke the filibuster because the Republicans, I don’t know, they’re just sitting on their butt. The country only recognizes success. And in order to get success, we got to get some wins. We got to get some wins in order to get the wins. You know, we got to get Trump’s agenda passed. And, um, That’s the only way they’re going to do it. I don’t know why they’re sitting on it. But one other thing, I think the Republicans have a messaging problem. And the messaging is we need to reach those people who move out of these high-tax states. Liberals, Democrats, whatever, they move out of these high-tax states and move to Republican states. We need the message to let them know the reason they moved out was because of the high taxes and they moved to a Republican state. I have a sister who moved from Baltimore, where I’m originally from, to Georgia, and I have to keep reminding her, hey, the reason you moved out of there, you know, you can’t be voting Democrat anymore now. You know, you’re in a Republican state that’s looking out for you.
SPEAKER 03 :
The single reason I moved from New York City and into Florida is because of taxes. That was the biggest driving reason for me. When I realized that I was paying more than 50% in taxes for city, state, and federal taxes, I realized enough is enough. I’m done. And you have to understand, as a broadcaster, I spent my whole life dreaming of getting a job and working and living in New York. And I got there, and they didn’t want me there. Are you kidding me?
SPEAKER 1 :
51%?
SPEAKER 03 :
I’ve got to give half of my income back to the city of New York so I can get lit on fire on the subway or trip over a pothole? Actually, I literally did get hospitalized for driving a scooter on 8th Avenue in Manhattan, and it hit a pothole. Funny story about that. You remember when that happened? That was years ago. That scooter, I had a Vespa scooter. It was my midlife crisis. And I loved that little thing. It wasn’t even that little. It was pretty big. But you know what a Vespa scooter is, right? It’s not a motorcycle because I’m not man enough to have a Harley or anything, but I had a scooter. And I loved it. You could dart in and out of traffic. The wind in your face. I mean, you go pretty fast on that thing. And I just remember thinking how happy I was on my scooter. And one day I was going up 8th Avenue about 40 miles an hour. My front tire, which was small, the front scooter wheel is pretty tiny, small compared to the back wheel. Anyway, went right into a pothole. I flipped over. I had just had hip replacement surgery like a few months earlier. I fell right on my right side where the hip surgery was. My phone that I had in my right pocket dug into the incision. And there was a bus, I found out later, an MTA transit bus right behind me that, by the grace of God, didn’t run over me after I fell off the scooter. So my kids were like, Dad, you got to get rid of the scooter. This is stupid. You’re going to get killed. So I gave up the scooter. I sold the scooter. Do you know I went back? to the scene the day after I was in the house. And I wasn’t seriously hurt. It was just soft tissue damage and everything. I went back to the block on 8th Avenue. It was like 8th and 49th or 50th Street. I went back the day after or two days after. They had already black topped over the area that had the pothole. Now, you know why? Because they were waiting for me to sue them. That’s exactly what, I’ll never forget, I looked at it and I said, my gosh, they’ve already got the pothole covered up. So, because I guarantee you, I’d have gotten money. People, do you know people in New York get drunk, fall on the tracks, get hit by a train, and they get millions of dollars awarded to them? That has happened on more than one occasion. One lady fainted fell onto the tracks, got her arm cut off by a train, and got like $70 million from the city of New York. Like it’s the city’s fault that she fainted and fell onto the tracks. One guy was drunk as a skunk. He got drunk, fell onto the tracks, lost his leg and his arm. They gave him about $50 million. Makes me start thinking, would I give up an arm for $50 million? Maybe my left arm. Look, I’m right-handed. But heck, I could even learn to be left-handed if it was $50 million. Hmm. Hmm. Hey, I came up with an idea last night. We’ve already got about 10 people, I think, who are going to step up. Our Angel Tree Christmas campaign is going so great. We’ve got over 5,500 kids, I think, sponsored right now. They’re going to have Christmas morning thanks to you. The Angel Tree Christmas campaign delivers a Christmas present, a Bible, and a personal message from an incarcerated parent to a child on Christmas morning. You go to MikeOnline.com. $30 is all it costs. I came up with this inspiration in the middle of the night. Some of my best ideas come at 2 in the morning. Think about this. If you’ve got a business that you’d like to promote nationally, I’ll give you an ad. for your $1,000 tax-deductible donation to the Angel Tree Christmas campaign. Every penny of it is going to go to the Prison Fellowship Ministry. We won’t get any of it, but I’ll give you an advertisement. We’ve already got, like, there’s a heating and cooling company, and there’s an author who wants to promote a book.
