Are you watching the Olympics? I feel duty-bound to talk about this. This is another thing that’s going on culturally that I have to confess. It’s not an editorial comment, folks. Don’t send me emails about the greatness and goodness of the Olympics and why won’t I just get on board. Please, the fastest way to get me to not pay attention to something is to tell me why I should. So it’s not a cultural thing that I pay attention to. It has nothing to do with anything. I just don’t. I never have. I’m more inclined, I will say, to watch the Winter Olympics than the Summer. I did write yesterday in the Harumph Society a little something to Lindsey Vonn’s story because I found that pretty inspiring, and I don’t know the first thing about Lindsey Vonn’s sport, but she does seem to be a remarkably… composed public figure in that she takes her adversity and she makes it a lesson for all that watch her. So I will say Lindsay Vaughn has captured my attention in that she went from what I guess was something people thought would keep her from competing, some kind of leg injury, to actually saying, no, I can do this. I’ve rehabbed. My doctors say I can do it. I’m going to compete. And then she has this devastating wipeout. a few days ago, and she just made some public comments yesterday, and she said, hey, you know what? If you take nothing else from me, just learn. You get up. You dust yourself off. You keep going. There’s a toughness in her, a resolve. She’s not whining. She’s not crying. She’s not blaming anybody. In fact, she even said, you know, in this day and age, you’d expect somebody to say, and she probably could have, well, you know, my doctor said I was okay to ski and my bum leg gave out and I really shouldn’t have done it. She could have blamed people. She didn’t. She actually said it had nothing to do With the injury that I had sustained earlier, I screwed up and I hurt myself and I’m out of the competition, but I’m going to be okay. Now that, if you want to tell me that’s what the Olympics are about, I’m all for it, Ed. Reliance, toughness, pull yourself up by the bootstraps, lessons to young women. Now that’s a story. That’s a lesson for young women.

Absolutely. No question about it. The Winter Olympics, I will say, like you, I’m more prone to watching the Winter Olympics than the Summer Olympics, but I’m obsessed with the Olympic hockey. That’s where I really dig in.

Now, have they already done the thing that looks like something I could do? Every time I see the Olympics, I think, oh, I could probably do that. I’m sure there’s more to it than I know. But I’m talking about rolling those rocks with handles. It looks like a big game of shuffleboard on ice. What is that thing called?

Meanwhile, I guess there have been some attacks and protests on the rails and other infrastructure around the Olympics, which, again, folks, I’m not an editorial comment. I just haven’t paid much attention, but it doesn’t surprise me. Italian Prime Minister Giorgio Maloney condemning anti-Olympics protesters as enemies of Italy. Who’s protesting the Olympics, Ed? Do we know who that is?
SPEAKER 07 :
Yeah, it’s stupid Europeans that are in this climate.
SPEAKER 05 :
Oh, are these the same wackos that are throwing paint on the Mona Lisa and stuff?
SPEAKER 07 :
I would guess so. Maybe they’re different groups. I’m sure all funded by Soros. But yes, this is the climate wackos. Yeah.

Meanwhile, here at home, I love it. President Trump is set to repeal the climate wacko regulatory rollback. I just love it. While these idiots are trying to block railways and they’re destroying priceless art in the name of the climate or some such thing, the Trump administration, this from the Wall Street Journal, is planning this week to repeal the Obama-era scientific finding that serves as the legal basis for the federal greenhouse gas regulation. according to U.S. officials. The reversal targets the 2009 endangerment finding, which concluded that six greenhouse gases pose a threat to public health and welfare. The finding provided the legal underpinning for the EPA climate rules, which limited emissions from power plants and tightened fuel economy standards for vehicles under the Clean Air Act. Now, I haven’t read this entire story, but I’m wondering, of the six that are designated, I will bet you anything carbon dioxide is one of them. You think I’m right, Ed?

We’ve long established that the left is calling what you and I are exhaling right now a pollutant. I haven’t gone over this with this audience. Not that you don’t understand it. You’re smart. But I don’t know that I’ve ever really unpacked this with this audience, but here’s my official position. And by this audience, I mean those of you that I’m new to here in the last year since we became a nationally syndicated program. I’ve not shared with you how stupid I think that it is that we would suggest that the thing that you and I naturally exhale is a pollutant. But that’s the kind of perverse, moronic nonsense that regulatory action has been built around and approved by members of Congress, signed into law by presidents, including Republicans. It’s not exclusively Democrats. The notion that you’re exhaling a pollutant. God created your body and mine. We have this beautiful… natural, biological event, photosynthesis. It’s a wonderful thing. You exhale carbon dioxide. The trees and the plants take it in, and they create oxygen, which you inhale into your lungs. It’s this beautiful cycle. Sun, water. Oxygen, CO2. By the way, as you know, CO2, just a tiny fraction of the atmosphere. Most of the Earth’s atmosphere, water vapor, that’s what most traps the heat. But again, if you’re willing to believe that you and I were created as an accident or we happened here accidentally and that we are in fact exhaling a pollutant, then you and I part as friends. I have no time for people who believe that… Well, but here again, we’re dealing with the same people that think God makes mistakes and that you were born the wrong gender. And if you wake up and you say, I am not a man, I’m a woman. I was assigned male at birth, but I don’t want to be a male anymore. I’d like to have surgery and change that so that I’m a woman now. If you believe that, you believe we exhale pollutants. And you know, it’s funny, when you talk about this stuff as I have for years, you see it, you can’t necessarily predict where it will go, but you understand the perversity of it. When people have convinced themselves that human existence is in fact a blight, a toxin, your very existence exhaling is a problem, well then you can get yourself to a place where babies are problems. ending their lives in the womb. Easy solution. Old people are problems. They’re in the way. You see, when you convince yourself that people are in fact the problem, you can do anything, can’t you? It’s a pretty great gimmick for the American left. Total control. And it’s, of course, built on a total hoax. The final rule, set to be made public later this week, removes the regulatory requirements to measure, report, certify, and comply with federal greenhouse gas emission standards for motor vehicles and repeals associated compliance programs, credit provisions, and reporting obligations to industries. It wouldn’t apply to rules governing emissions from power plants and other stationary resources. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. If you spend any time around anybody in the energy industry, people that provide you your energy and your power, and you wonder why is energy so costly, why are there rolling brownouts and blackouts, get next to somebody in the business of producing power for your community, and your head will spin. And you will be driven to madness. Listen to what these industries have to deal with purely because of politics. The lie that your breath is a pollutant. That’s what it’s all based on. It’s lunatic. Trump was built for a time such as this. That and those stupid wind turbines. Tear those things down while you’re at it. More in a minute.

And then the right leftist gets in charge of the company and works with a Democrat, and they shut the whole thing down.

I know. How many times have we been, I’m trying to think, how many times over the years, the Philly show, we got banned three times from YouTube, I think?
SPEAKER 05 :
Well, every time you’re given three strikes or something. And it didn’t always extend to everybody, but it certainly did to us. There were people keyed in on us. Same with X before Elon bought it. Same deal. They target certain hosts who I guess they find are particularly impactful people. So I guess I’ll take it as a compliment. But they’ll throttle you. They’ll shut you down. They’ll shadow ban you. And I have warned and warned and warned. I said, if we continue to be reliant on building up YouTube presence, I mean, I’m happy that Elon owns X. But outside of that, do I think Meta, for instance, Facebook and Instagram, do I think that thing could turn around on a heel? If we’re not, you know, Donald Trump being in office, I absolutely do. So it wouldn’t surprise me. And it’s why. I’ll come full circle and say it’s why you should have the SNC app. It’s why you should watch the Salem News Channel. It’s why you should get the website at least on your desktop, if nothing else, and watch this show if you stream it at snc.tv. It’s why I’m thrilled Salem has their own channel. Because I hate being a pessimist, Ed, but I’m just confident that’s what’s going to happen one of these days. It’s not going to be too far distant future. Somebody at YouTube is going to feel, once Trump is gone, like, hey, we can go back to throttling those guys we don’t like. And all of a sudden, everybody that’s accustomed to watching something on YouTube can’t watch it anymore.

So it’s why we diversify. That’s the point. You shouldn’t put all your eggs in one basket. And quite frankly, it’s why the whole media landscape is diversifying. I mean, I don’t mean to go off on a rant here, as Dennis Miller used to say, but this is why the Washington Post’s dissolving is not a bad thing at all. It’s actually quite good. Peggy Noonan yesterday, I wrapped up the show, she was lamenting, oh… Oh, now there won’t be a legitimate news source covering America’s capital city. And I thought, that is such an old head way of thinking. And believe you me, I’m not thrilled about all the technological advancement that is happening. Rapid fire. AI, weird to me. I can see benefits to it. It’s also kind of weird to me. I don’t know where it’s going. I don’t care for it at all. But I will say… That on balance, I’m thrilled with the technological advancement to be able to bring you different points of view and that there isn’t one central hub for information. It should never have been that way. So we should never put all our informational eggs in one basket ever again if we’ve learned nothing else in this era.

Our guest from a couple of weeks ago, he’s the president of the Baptist Theological Seminary down there in Louisville. And he said that he flipped back and forth between the two because he felt responsible to at least know what he was talking about in terms of the divide and what was objectionable about one and what was good about the other or whatever. He said he was talking to some of the students on his campus about… halftime shows over the years and he said this is how old i felt when i brought up to one of the students the wardrobe malfunction and they had no idea what that meant ed that does make you feel old when you realize there are people in college now that have no idea what the wardrobe malfunction is at the halftime show that makes me feel extremely old oh man that’s sad That was a big deal. And so I guess for the Ute who are listening and don’t know what that means, that’s when it was Justin Timberlake, right, and Janet Jackson? That’s correct. And right there at the end, he rips off a piece of costume or whatever that covered her ample bosom and exposed… She wasn’t naked under there, was she? Or was she? I can’t remember.

Not that I remember. I don’t think that she was.

I think she had, like, pasties on or something.

Yeah, but he, you know, he was there. He was… His hand was up there.

You know, I saw one back in the 80s or 70s. There was one going around online, Up With People. Up With People was the name of the act, and that was the whitest thing I’ve ever seen in my life. I was like, now that is the cultural opposite of what was offered this past Sunday. That I actually would have demanded to see some kind of color in, because that was like mayonnaise and crackers and white bread on full display. I mean, it was like folky Peter Pan. I bet Bob, our audio cowboy, knows who Up With People is. Bob, who the hell are they? Oh, yeah, the Gibby Cavities. Yeah, just the worst, right? Can you imagine that being the Super Bowl? Just as much as I object to Bad Bunny, to be fair, I would object to Up With People being the halftime show as well.

If you remember the movie Black Sunday that was all about a terrorist attack at the Super Bowl, Up With People sang the national anthem in that movie. It’s a John Frankenheimer film. But no, they were just a touring act, and they went around, but they were in the Super Bowl halftime show a bunch.

Yeah, do yourself a favor, if you have some time, look it up online. Wow. I mean, you’ll get cavities from it. Anyway, the final numbers are in on that, and it turns out that, yes, in fact, the concurrent, what they call concurrent streaming on just YouTube alone was a record setter. for the Turning Point folks. And that was just on their YouTube channel. Never mind Charlie’s, never mind others. It wound up being the largest live stream event YouTube has ever hosted. That’s a huge statement. And, you know, we were having this discussion yesterday. I was on a call. talking about this and, you know, will the NFL learn a lesson here? And I said, I don’t know that it’s about the NFL learning a lesson. I think it’s about the rest of us learning a lesson. And I’m sorry to beat a dead horse here, but I think it’s probably important that we have this conversation. I’m not necessarily interested in changing the NFL’s mind about what they’re going to put on during the halftime show. I’m interested in people having alternatives and choice to it. You see, I just don’t, and this is where I part with a lot of you in this audience I know. Ed, there are people that will beat their heads against the wall trying to get the left to become more like us. I’m not interested in trying to get the left to become more like us. I think many of them are largely a lost cause. They’re lunatics. They’re beside themselves with an idol worship of climate or abortion or transgenderism or whatever it is. They’re consumed with it. It’s secular. I don’t think there’s any reaching it or converting it or changing minds. Every now and again there are. It’s not my interest. In 2026, my interest is, what are the alternatives? And that’s what I have to commend Jack Posobiec and the people over at Turning Point. They had a vision, and they said, well, why the hell should we just sit around and let bad money and the NFL dictate what we’ve got to sit and watch for 15 minutes? Why do we have to? That should be the question that all of us ask ourselves every day. Do we have to turn on… Morning Joe, do we have to subscribe to the Wall Street Journal? Do we have to sit and watch what NBC puts on as a halftime show at the NFL? Answer? No. No. Now, can I selectively watch the football game and then click away? Yes. That’s the beauty of choice and the diversity of the market, Ed, back to my previous segment. I think we, in that sense, ought to cheer technological development. We have more access to more information than ever before, and that really makes the left mad. You know why they’re mad? They’re not mad that you and I don’t love Bad Bunny. They’re mad that we weren’t forced to sit there and take it. You understand there’s a difference, right, Ed? Absolutely. Yes. Yes, of course. It’s not about… They know they can’t make us think the way they do. They just like that they waterboard us figuratively with their ideology and we have nowhere to go. That’s what they want. And so I would just say, respectfully, instead of obsessively trying to control things like the Super Bowl halftime show, lean into… The Turning Point USA alternative, and alternatives like it that pop up wherever that may be found culturally. In fact, from what I understand, I heard Andrew Colvett and the team over there already saying, they’re on the phone, and in fact, some people that I was on the phone talking to yesterday said, if you’re a big money conservative, that’s where you put all your chips. There ought to be phone calls right now about, okay, how do we do that better and bigger next year? And should they ever stop? You know what I’m saying, Ed? Like, this was sort of a solution to a problem this year. A bunch of conservatives said, I don’t want to watch Bad Bunny. I don’t like his politics. He’s pledged he’s not going to sing in English. It’s sort of an affront to us culturally. I don’t want to watch it. So they created an alternative. And they said, we’re going to do that every year. And why shouldn’t they? And aren’t we all better for it? And then… Now, the question is, how do you suppose the NFL is going to respond to that next year? Any differently?
SPEAKER 07 :
Oh, no. The NFL is too big of an entity to care. They know that they’re not going to lose revenue. I mean, they just know it.
SPEAKER 05 :
I’m sorry.

They do.
SPEAKER 05 :
But if you’re an advertiser and you want to reach the maximum number of voices and people and eyeballs, do you consider where you’re putting your money during an event like that if you see… Tens of millions of people have fled and gone over there during the halftime show or whatever. Or maybe not. Maybe you don’t.
SPEAKER 07 :
I just think it’s one of them events that kind of transcends all. It’s the biggest thing that we have that everybody watches at the same time. So I don’t know. Maybe. If you’re a conservative advertiser, like you said, if you have an alternative marketplace, if you have an alternative social media source, that, absolutely, that is a good bet to say, hey, millions of people are going to be watching the Turning Point USA show, so I will put my chips there. No question about that.
SPEAKER 05 :
For instance, and again, I didn’t spend time on this, it doesn’t animate me, but it animated a lot of folks, the Cracker Barrel thing. Cracker Barrel came in and decided to just scrub any reference to old-timey guy in a barrel and a rocker, and they kind of wanted to go kind of more whatever. They made some god-awful AI-generated logo, took away all its character. People love Cracker Barrel for its old homespun, down-home, country-cooking vibe. And the new CEO came in and said, Ah, we’re going to do away with that. We’re going to freshen it up and hip it up. And the marketplace exploded. And Cracker Barrel is now spending a fortune, literally, as we speak, tearing down old signs, or new signs they put up to replace the old signs, and putting the old signs back up, billboard by billboard, all over the country. I see it in my own neighborhood. All the money they spent to rebrand and replace, they’re now tearing that all down and putting it all back up. And the CEO sat down with Glenn Beck and was crying.

I’m just so sorry. I didn’t mean to offend anybody. And that was over breakfast, Ed. That was over breakfast. So I just don’t think you should mistake the power the marketplace has in people just saying, no, I don’t like it. I don’t want it. I didn’t ask for this. And at some point, I think the kneeling thing was an example of where the league finally said, look, we’re not changing their politics. Don’t misunderstand. I’m not saying you’re going to make Roger Goodell become a conservative. It’s not about making people like us. It’s about making them acknowledge there are a lot of us. And if you don’t want our money and you don’t want our viewership, we can take it over there. And then the marketplace has a decision to make. Are there enough of us? They want our dollars or don’t they? And that is a calculated business decision. Do you want our dollars or don’t you? Can you sustain yourself as a company and tell 77 million people who voted for Donald Trump, we don’t need your money? Or even let’s conservatively say it’s 50 million people. I mean, if you’re on a board, you’re on the board of a company and the CEO says, I don’t care if it ticks off conservatives, we’re going in this direction with this company. And if a board is presented with evidence that says 50 million people would be ticked off and no longer spend money with your company, I would think, now maybe there are some people that are too wealthy or successful or big to care. Maybe. I don’t really understand that. I mean, my understanding of business is market share always matters, and you’re always trying to find more ways to gobble up more of the market. So I would think at some point, just as a shareholder issue, you’d say, well, we can’t afford to just extend our middle finger to 50 million people. That’s not smart business. So at a minimum, you say, let’s lay down our arms and not politic. Somebody said that the NFL calculation was a lot like Bud Light and Dylan Mulvaney. I think it was my buddy Ed Morrissey that said that over at Town Hall. Ed said it wasn’t so much politics as it was… Well, there was some of it, and I kind of liked his take on it. He said this was them saying… Eddie, you’re going to watch football because you like football and you’re not going anywhere. Because as you just said, it’s a big event. i’m not not gonna watch it so basically f u middle finger to you just like you’re gonna drink bud light because everybody drinks bud light stupid dumb knuckle dragging men drink bud light and budweiser so we need to expand the marketplace said the new marketing agent at budweiser and they decided to bring in dylan mulvaney extend the middle finger to the budweiser crew they made ads that said boy aren’t these beer drinking morons aren’t they stupid They openly mocked their customer base, Ed. Scottish Labour leader became the most senior party figure to call for Starmer’s resignation, saying this distraction needs to end and the leadership at Downing Street has to change. At the center of the crisis, newly published materials detailing Mandelson’s links to Jeffrey Epstein, revelations that have reshaped the political stakes and triggered questions about vetting at the highest levels of government. Documents obtained by Fox News report Mandelson maintained contact with Epstein after his 2008 conviction and that Epstein transferred about $75,000 to accounts connected to Mandelson or his husband. I suspect most people that are listening to this show in Texas know full well what we’re talking about. We’ve met him a few times before. Congressman Wesley Hunt, who currently represents the 38th District of Texas, would like to be the next United States senator in Texas. There’s a primary battle with the current sitting Senator John Cornyn, and Congressman Hunt joins us again. Congressman, great to see you, sir. Good morning. Thank you. Thank you for having me on, brother. Really appreciate that, man. Of course, there’s a lot to get to. But could I just start with a couple of things? If I’d had you yesterday, I would have asked you about this yesterday. But I’m dying to know since he happens to be a colleague of yours in the House and he happens to be a Texan to boot. I would love to get your reaction to Congressman Gene Wu’s comments last week. Give me number eight, if you would, please, fellas. And then, Congressman, I’ll get your reaction on the other side here.

I always tell people the day the Latino, African American, Asian, and other communities realize that they share the same oppressor is the day we start winning. Because we are the majority in this country now. We have the ability to take over this country and to do what is needed for everyone and to make things fair. But the problem is our communities are divided. They’re completely divided.

Congressman, the reason I start with that is because, as you know, over the weekend with the Super Bowl, the bad bunny stuff, I think there are people that want to make it racial. I don’t really necessarily see it as racial as much as I see it as being proud of country, of American citizenship and English speaking. But we’re going back to this place. Your colleague there, you heard him, the bad bunny stuff. I’ll lump it all together and volley it to you and get your reaction to it all.

There’s no more slaves and there’s no more slave owners in America. Those days are over. And the only thing the left tries to do is divide us along racial lines because at this point it is all they have. And then you have black men like me that come around whose eyes are opened, that understand that the Democrat plantation is done for people like me. And I understand that we all bleed red and we are all Americans first. And the only thing that we want is our culture and our country back. And by the way, all the races that he just mentioned are a part of American culture, just like white people, just like black people, just like Hispanic people and Asian people. At the end of the day, that’s what makes up this melting pot. And nobody is oppressing anybody. I know that’s true because I’m sitting here today as a black man who is a Republican that represents a white majority district that’s running for the Senate and in the great state of Texas, one of the largest, the second largest state in the entire country by mass. And we’re sitting here having a conversation about race and about being oppressed. When I travel all over the state and I see people of all walks of life, Wanted to support me, not because of what I look like, but because of my military service, my grit, hard work, and acumen. I’m being judged not by the color of my skin, but by the content of my character. This is not the 60s. It’s not the 40s. It’s not the 50s. Wake up. Those days are in our past. And what people really want to see is it’s not talking about who’s oppressed more than the other. What people really want to see is who gets the job based on their work, who gets the job based on their education, their hard work and their determination. Democrats are clinging to this because at this point it’s all they have. And I say no more.

I was accused, as many were who went to watch the Turning Point show, of it being a bigotry or something. And I just say to myself, it has nothing to do with that at all. It just seemed like such an affront. It was as if there was clearly a message being sent that a guy like me could either watch or, you know, take the back of a hand, proverbially. Like, I wasn’t welcome. It was not inclusive to me, is the way it felt. Is that the way you took it, if you watched it?

You know, I took it as a show in the United States that’s entirely in Spanish is not a melting pot. If there’s some Spanish, okay, but this is an English-speaking country. This is an English-speaking nation. And at the end of the day, if you want to dabble and put some of your culture in it and bring everybody else in it, as they would put it, in a more inclusive way, instead of excluding other people, that’s one thing. But to have a show in the United States entirely in Spanish, And English is the national language. And last I checked, the majority of people that are watching the Super Bowl probably are English speakers. This is the problem that we are having with these culture wars. We have people that are trying to grandstand and gaslight us in ways like this. And they’re trying just to divide us. And then we have to have our own Super Bowl halftime. They’re not now in perpetuity. We’re going to have the battle of the Super Bowls. When all we really need to do is just have people that just speak English, that are pop culture people, that are Americans. And by the way, if you want to dabble in other cultures in it, I’m all for that. Again, I’ll talk about this place being a melting pot. But the idea of me being able to watch a halftime show during America’s game, like the Super Bowl, like football, the American sport, for me to watch a halftime show for my entire life and not understand anything that was said, I think that’s a bit ridiculous.

And I wonder if you think it purposely produced at a time that we’re having a discussion. And I don’t think really a debate. You’ve seen the polling on it, by the way. It crosses gender. It crosses race. When you’re talking about ID, when you’re talking about border security, when you’re talking about deporting people that have broken into the country, it has overwhelming support. All of it does by all accounts across all skin colors and classes and genders and all of that. Do you suppose this was coordinated for that moment? Do I suppose?
SPEAKER 03 :
Brother, of course it was. President Trump won this election because of illegal immigration. 20 million people entered this country illegally. This really angers a lot of liberals because apparently, like James Tallarico here in Texas, he thinks our southern border should be a front porch for people to come and enter. We should welcome them with open arms. And as a combat pilot and Apache pilot, I realize there are people that want to come into this country and harm and maim us. Enough fentanyl poured into this country to kill every single American five times. There are people here that want to see the demise and destruction and end of this great nation. And now we have a president that’s doing the right thing. By ensuring that we have a safer nation. The most interesting thing about this is Barack Obama deported far more people than President Trump has. And yet you didn’t have these kinds of conversations. You didn’t see Bad Bunny then because liberals and Democrats and Democrat run states were just going along with Obama because. They liked him. And he was a fellow Democrat like them. So now what Trump does the exact same thing using ice like Obama also use ice. Now we have a problem. And then now we have a culture war with Bad Bunny during a Super Bowl. And then now all you oppressed people, we’re going to fix you. We’re going to have a halftime so that you can’t even understand. Now they’re nanny, nanny, boo boo. And so you are absolutely right. This is an 80-20 issue for us. People want to see this happen. We are seeing blue states that are cooperating with federal agents and ICE agents, which is why this is happening, why you’re seeing all this all over the TV. And legacy media is carrying water for these people as well. And that’s OK, because we’re going to continue to stay the course and do the bidding of the American people. We will not allow the tail to wag the dog.

Your colleague, Steve Scalise, heading into the weekend, said that this week he believed that the SAVE Act would come for a vote in the House. I know in the Senate, John Thune has said something along the lines of, well, we’ve only got so much time. You know, there’s the highway bill and there’s other things to consider. And I… A couple things. Number one, how important is the SAVE Act? Number two, do you think the Senate now needs to really have a serious conversation about blowing up the filibuster and getting some stuff done? Because if they don’t, you know good and well if Democrats ever take over, they will. So where are you with all of that?
SPEAKER 03 :
This is the point that I keep making over and over again that people just really don’t understand. And that is, you know, they almost took the filibuster last time that they were in power. They had two senators that didn’t side with them. And that’s why it didn’t happen. God forbid. And they’re very hopefully very, very distant future when they are back in charge. You are exactly right. They’re going to nuke the filibuster and then they are going to jam every piece of horrible legislation right through the heart of America. And we’re going to have to deal with it. And because the president was given a mandate, he won the general election vote. But the popular vote, he won the electoral college vote. He won seven swing states. I mean, come on. I mean, this is exactly what the American people wanted for the next four years is for President Trump to get his agenda through the door. And it’s really crazy to think that Republicans are the ones stopping us. Look, I get what what leaders are saying, and I think he’s right. I think it’ll it’ll hopefully pass the House of Representatives because it should because we do have the majority. But also, I will say this. What good is it if they will nuke the filibuster and pass it out of the Senate? This is why I’m running for United States Senate, because I’m an America first guy, first person in the country to endorse President Trump. And what I want to see are America first fighters, young America first fighters that are willing to do what’s right, even when even in difficult times and nuking the filibuster is simply one of those things. These old legacy Bush era Republicans are the ones that are still upholding this draconian rule. It’s time to get rid of it. And it’s time for us to back President Trump and move forward. Save the House. It’s the Senate.

So third generation, I would say Republican versus conservative. But there’s just so much going on on both parties. So I’ll just give you a few examples. So where are the arrests from the Trump party on the Biden side? I see no arrests of people that the Bidens did to Trump. You got 10 million people that came across the border. You got a fraction that’s being deported. And I think for the most part, the politicians, so even our jobs, they’re not all coming back yet. So you see this. You see it in the news. So people are bashing on Megyn Kelly. You got Candace. You got Quintus. You got Tucker. So, for example, the talk person after you on the AM dial in Dallas, just knock it off. I mean, you guys have the platform, but we want to bring those people in. You got four major podcast people, and they’re being trashed because they’re just stating their opinion or, in some cases, telling the truth. But when you look at the right and what they’re doing, whether it’s Fox News or anybody else, well, you can’t say anything bad about those folks because certainly they’re telling the truth. And it’s nonsense. And just go after now, I’m thinking about becoming a moderate. I don’t think that I’ll vote for another Republican, especially for J.D. Vance. Give me somebody good. But if you’re going to give me that, it kind of looks like it’s rigged.

Well, radio and television in general, when you hear something regarding whether it’s a Megyn Kelly or just anyone speaking about our relationship with Israel, it’s like I don’t see the American first anymore.

Okay, hang on. So, Miguel, hang on. I just want to give you your time. But now you brought up Israel, which is distinctly not where you started. Actually not. There’s a lot going on. There is. And I mean, Israel is not the least of it, in my opinion. But like so you’ve said Megyn Kelly a lot, too. And I’m not really sure the very specific focus on Megyn.

Okay, so when she supported, if you will, Tucker and or made some very positive, just the facts about Candace, it’s just… Can I just ask you something?

Here’s my question. I don’t understand the fixation on personalities. What is the thing? Like, Tucker, Candace, they all have shows. They all can say whatever they like. I can, you can, we all can. You can start your own Miguel show. Like, what’s the… What’s the deal about having to be on the team and wear the jersey of the host thing? What’s that about? I don’t get it.

I used to listen to this Amdahl all day long. You know who I listen to now? You. Because you’re more fair and balanced, and a lot of people on television… whether it’s Fox and or this station, other celebrities on this station, you know, you know, when you’re listening to somebody who make you believe who was like, OK, this guy’s done his research. You go do your research. And pretty much I’d say 80 percent of what they’re saying is true. They might have got a few things wrong. But really, when I tell you truly that you’re the only one I listen to. because I want fair and balanced, but I want to hear it all. I’m not one way or another. I’m first, you know, America first. That’s smart. Yeah, because those people, you know, and I do, I want to say I’m very patriotic, but it’s wrong to be patriotic in half the country. I want to be very, you know, pro-America, pro-gun, pro-life. But half of the people, so we’re already dealing with half the people that don’t like what we’re doing. And then the people within our party are going back and forth as well. It’s like, geez, guys, let’s just get on one boat and make this happen. Because, you know, and I’ll share this last concern with you, Chris, because I know you’ve got other things going on. But, you know, the party that they, I say they, it could be anyone in media. But if you’re going against the likes of a Megan or a Tucker or a Fuentes or whoever, they have a huge, and if you remember correctly, kind of like your Joe Rogan’s, That’s what put Trump over the finish line. And if we don’t have them and if Trump like gives the finger, I get it. I’m not I wasn’t concerned about that or NFL. Why? It’s supposedly ran by the government and they’re going to allow Jay-Z to run the entertainment. who was, you know, supposedly, you know, around the PCA stuff.

Let me just, I mean, we’re kind of, there’s a lot of subjects in there. So, I mean, the government doesn’t run the NFL, to be clear. And I also don’t know that Trump, I mean, President Trump has invited, much to my kind of shock, to be perfectly honest with you, President Trump just last month invited Tucker Carlson to the White House, and he sat in on a big oil executives meeting. I mean, I don’t see that Trump is giving the finger to any of those people that you mentioned.
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, no, it was just a clip they showed. He was visiting a plant in Michigan. I was like, Trump, don’t do that. It’s just crazy. Oh, you’re talking about the guy shouting at him about Epstein. Just hold a certain standard. Sometimes that stuff goes away if you just ignore it. But if you pay attention to it and you put fuel on it, it’ll stay lit.
SPEAKER 05 :
You said that you were considering, you voted for Trump, and you said before the break, what interested me is that you said you were thinking about becoming a moderate. What does that mean?
SPEAKER 06 :
I’m moderate for things that I’m very conservative. I’d say I was more conservative. Sometimes I was early on in my life liberal. So, yeah, moderate is someone who I guess that I’m going to look for both sides and possibly vote on both sides. I don’t want to do that because I’m a straight ticket person. But, you know, after a while, you know, what’s moderate about you?
SPEAKER 05 :
Let me ask you, because what does that word moderate mean to you out of curiosity?
SPEAKER 06 :
You know, just in moderation of who I used to go full swing to one party, and that was Ed, or the person, you know, your Ted Cruz, I love him.
SPEAKER 05 :
Okay, I’m sorry, just in the interest of time, I don’t mean to interrupt you, but here’s what I think I hear you saying, and you tell me if I’ve got it correct. I think what you’re saying is you’re disappointed in the Republican Party, and you would like to see Republicans act like conservatives and do the things they say they’re going to do. You want accountability inside the Republican Party?
SPEAKER 06 :
Absolutely.
SPEAKER 05 :
You’re not going to get it right 100% of the time, but… So you and I on that are 100% aligned, except I would never say I’d like to become a moderate. I am a conservative, and I will always vote for the most conservative candidate, and I will join you locked arm in arm in insisting this Republican Party do a better job. I am 100% with you on that. Does that help clarify things?
SPEAKER 06 :
Yes, sir. It’s always good talking to you. I like your debates and your guests, and you’ve been a great person for me to follow and just get some reasoning and some sense when I’m thinking things like that.
SPEAKER 05 :
Miguel, I tell you what I’d like to do. I’m going to put you on hold, and if you’ll give me your email address, I’m going to make you an honorary Harumph Society member, my three-times-a-week newsletter, and we’re going to sort this thing out. I’m really glad you called. Hang on just a second. That’s Miguel in Texas. It’s just a matter of talking it through. He seems of good cheer. He seems of goodwill. He seems straight up and honest. There is an element. There’s a subversive element. who are out there trying to convince you that support for President Trump or support for the golden era agenda is falling off for various reasons. I think he was a sincere guy, and I think we got to where he’s going. He’s frustrated that he doesn’t feel that the Republican Party is moving fast enough. I get it. And don’t forget that we’re also in a, as I was saying yesterday, we’re in a place where Hollywood is producing and the left produces just endless crisis, endless division, endless moral confusion. And then we get this class of self-appointed narrators, wherever they may be found in media, telling you the solution to all of this hysteria. And it’s really, it’s just scripted division. It whips people up into a scripted division. I think there’s a lot of theatrics for the business of theatrics. I think this Epstein situation is a big example of that. And not because I don’t think Jeffrey Epstein’s not a monster, and not because I don’t think people who were affiliated with him didn’t do monstrous things, but I think as far as President Trump is concerned specifically, the Epstein files have absolutely, particularly in the last 24 hours or so, have absolutely exposed the total fraud of this ever being something that was a monkey on Trump’s back. You had the Justice Department just release more than three and a half million Epstein documents. And it was all made public, by the way, because President Trump signed the disclosure law. So it has obliterated one of their most persistent political smears. Now, it’s all anybody in mainstream media is talking about today. And you have guys, both Thomas Massey and Ro Khanna, a Republican and a Democrat. They’re both out there saying they know. They know names. They know powerful names. And as I said yesterday, say them then. You know, if a guy like Miguel is sincere, he says, I’m frustrated. We’re not getting accountability. I agree. You say the political class isn’t delivering. I agree. Donald Trump’s done his part. These guys can do it. Ro Khanna can do it. Massey can do it. They know these names. Victims know the names. Elon Musk has stepped up and said, I’m the richest man in the world. I will provide for your legal defense. Say the names then. There’s a political story today that says that there are names. And guys like Ro Khanna and Thomas Massey, boy, if these continue to be redacted, boy, they’re going to say the names. Say them then. Say them from the House floor. You’re legally protected to do that, Congressman. For years, Democrats and their media allies have been teasing, just wait, just wait, just you wait until those files come out. Well, they’re out. And just like the Russia collusion hoax and the very fine people hoax and the J6 insurrection distortion, the narrative is starting to collapse the moment it meets actual evidence. Now, it doesn’t stop the media who don’t want this story to go away from confusing people like Miguel that Trump is somehow involved and hiding accountability. And do you know why guys like Miguel are being made to think that? Frankly, it works. There are a lot of very insincere enemies of this administration, of this agenda, that are using this to confuse and morally twist and distort. And it is a script, just as we discussed yesterday. The documents released, the Miami Herald today, ABC News today, they’re all reporting Donald Trump was not part of Epstein’s circle. In fact, he helped dismantle it. In 2006, we now have evidence during the Palm Beach investigation back in 06, 20 years ago, Trump personally called the police chief at that time of Palm Beach and urged aggressive pursuit of this scumbag. There is a now public FBI interview of the police chief saying, and I quote, while talking to Donald Trump, thank goodness you’re stopping him. Everyone has known he’s been doing this. Trump pinpointing Ghislaine Maxwell specifically, he said, quote, and this is the sheriff of Palm Beach saying this, that Trump told him she’s evil. Focus on her. That’s a sheriff in testimony to the FBI 20 years ago. It’s been released. Donald Trump called it out 20 years ago. That’s not complicity, folks. That’s cooperation. There was the 2007 lifetime ban from Mar-a-Lago. Trump expelled Epstein permanently after spotting red flags years before the 2008 plea deal. No second chances for a man he called disgusting. Direct quote. Millions of pages, emails, logs, videos, memos. There is zero evidence linking Donald Trump to Epstein. Now, there is apparently evidence to link many powerful people, yes, or politicians, yes. Name them. Go ahead. You know, Politico says there are six people with ties. Stacey Plaskett is one of them. The Virgin Islands Democrat. It’s really damning stuff. She’s on bended knee begging for money, and we know he was counseling with her during congressional hearings over the phone. Donald Trump wasn’t engaged in island trips. There was no flights on the Lolita Express for Donald Trump, no improper conduct, no victim accusing him of anything. The DOJ itself states crimes against Donald Trump, or rather any claims against Donald Trump, in these documents are unfounded and false. If there was even a hint of wrongdoing, Democrats would have weaponized it long ago. But they’re keeping the story alive. In my view, to confuse people like Miguel. Hang on. Look. If these people have the goods on Epstein, come out with it and come out with it now. Give the names. Say the names. If the Epstein victims want to take out commercials, they can name names. Elon Musk has said, I will fund every one of your legal defenses. You can’t say in the era of the Internet in 2026, oh, powerful people will crush these people. Everyone has access to all of this. Talk. Say the names. As for Trump himself, Ghislaine Maxwell… Epstein’s convicted accomplice, she’s offered to exonerate Trump fully. And her position aligns with the documents. All this hysteria around this is meant to chip away at the Donald Trump agenda. It is not about accountability at all. It was never about justice. It has always been about distraction. Always. When Democrats’ policies fail… Their open borders, their criminal surges, economic stagnation, regulatory suffocation, sprawling corruption. Democrats can’t and don’t even bother defending their record. What do they do? They come up with massive distractions. They smear opponents. They shout, Epstein! Or Russia! Or Hitler! Gestapo! The Epstein files are just the latest. And by the way, they don’t just clear Donald Trump. They expose the strategy of the American left. And I’m not suggesting that only Democrats are tied to Jeffrey Epstein or that I even know that. I have no idea. Name all the names. I’m all for it. Embarrass every last disgusting pervert you want and can. And as far as I’m concerned, if proven guilty, public castration would be something I would entertain. I have no time. for what has been alleged many of these people have done but as far as president trump is concerned there’s zero evidence he’s done anything but be helpful in trying to squash this disgusting behavior at least as far as we know dating all the way back to twenty years ago democrats have absolutely no idea how to stop the Trump agenda. They have no idea how to defeat MAGA. They don’t know what to do. They can’t win on results because they have no results of their own. So they manufacture villains. And when the facts fail them, they resort to phony narratives and smears. And when it gets really inconvenient, they create distractions. Well, the truth is now out and it’s on the table. Everything’s been exposed. The redacted names even members of Congress have access to and they’re threatening. We may just go to the floor and read redacted names. Then do it. You’re legally protected to do that as a member of the House of Representatives. You can’t be sued as a member of the House of Representatives, Congressman Massey, Congressman Khanna. Read the names. Give us the names. Ladies, if you’ve truly been victimized, it’s time for you to get justice. You know names. You know people involved in this. Name the names. Elon Musk has said, I will personally defend you to the hilt with my own funds to make sure justice is served. Trump has done more, in fact, to stop Epstein than most of his accusers have to this point, if we’re going to be honest about it. The reality about this entire Epstein thing is, as it relates to Donald Trump is, the hoax is dead, just like the ice hoax is dead. The facts are final. I’m ready to move on with the golden age, unburdened by their lies and drama and hysteria. How about you?

So we’re going to go to the RNC and talk with them about that in just a little bit. You’ve got to raise money. But at the same time, you’ve still got to go to Washington, D.C., and try to legislate and get things done. So what about the legislate and get things done part? Kirsten Pelz is with us. She is the RNC’s national press secretary and joins us for a kind of a midterm forecast as we sit here today. Kirsten, nice to meet you. Good morning.

Thank you for having me. I’m happy to be here.

So that’s the big question. I think a lot of us who, you know, are happy with this golden age, this golden era that President Trump is ushering in. What realistically do you think can happen here with the Republicans as we head through this year before we get to midterms? It’s, you know, obviously, economically, you want a track record of success there to sell as a Republican. But is there more that can be done? Do you anticipate in the months ahead?
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, absolutely. And President Trump has confirmed that he would be on the campaign trail going to a new city every few weeks across the country. I’m sure the vice president will be traveling as well. And our goal is to really turn out the MAGA base, turn out the Trump base to show up for these midterm elections. It’s very important that we do that. And one of the main messages that we’re driving home for people is the reality that when you look at Democrats in Congress right now, when you look at the obstruction and the chaos and the far left extremism that’s coming out of this party. That is what is going to happen if Democrats regain control of Congress. That’s why it is so essential that we give President Trump a full four years. President Trump’s agenda is on the ballot in this midterm cycle, even though he himself isn’t, but his agenda is. And that’s why President Trump will be campaigning across the country, because in order to have a full four years of delivering the economic gains, the border security, bringing down prices for Americans, We need to have Republicans maintain control of Congress. And so this is why we’re going to essentially make sure that all of our Republican base is getting out to the polls and going to go vote.
SPEAKER 05 :
As I understand it, the math on it, the money and it takes money. We all understand campaigns take money. Where do things stand financially right now? I saw Democrats literally just paid off. Kamala Harris’s campaign debt, she raised a billion dollars for that presidential campaign, and they just paid it off. As I understand it, Republicans actually are sitting on quite a bit of cash for campaigning this year. Is that right?
SPEAKER 16 :
That’s correct. Republicans at the RNC, we’re just shy of about $100 million cash on hand. The DNC is in crippling debt. They owe more than they have cash on hand at this point. And that is due to our incredible grassroots support. Over 50% of our donations are from small-dollar donors. We have a great deal of enthusiasm, especially with Vice President Vance as our finance chair. He’s done a great job. And just because of the general enthusiasm for President Trump and for his agenda. And so it’s important that we build this war chest heading into the midterms because we’re going to need to strategically invest in these races across the country that help support our Republican candidates all over this nation. And so when we look at all the money that we have, we still expect Democrats and left-wing groups to raise lots of money. They tend to fundraise using outside groups. And so we are prepared to counter them at every turn.
SPEAKER 05 :
There’s a piece today at Breitbart, and by the way, Kirsten Pelz is with us. She’s the press secretary for the RNC. I know you’ve seen it, this poll, and it’s from NPR PBS, so consider the source, News Marist poll. 1,462 likely voters at the end of January polled, and they say of those 1,462 likely voters… Only 36% surveyed approve of the president’s handling of the economy. 59% disapprove. And they say in this poll, 56% of Americans say it’s the tariffs and fees on products. are hurting the economy i know there was a story shopped yesterday that said president trump’s tariffs are costing people money so there’s very much a campaign to say that president trump’s economic strategy is making things expensive i know you’ve heard it i understand republicans understand this i know there’s healthy debate about tariffs but if if that’s true if that’s the impression how do you change that impression
SPEAKER 16 :
So there is a coordinated campaign aided and abetted by the mainstream media, their allies, the Democrats, to essentially erase the accomplishments of this administration. But when you look at one year under President Trump, you look at the lowest gas prices in years, you look at inflation coming down, you look at mortgage rates coming down, and you look at what he’s done to unleash American energy and unveiling lower drug prices as well. This is something that he’s been able to accomplish in just one year. And imagine the progress that will be made with a full four years. And so that’s the message we’re really trying to drive home for Americans, that Democrats can pretend like this administration isn’t getting the job done, but it’s undeniable. And there’s only so much the mainstream media can do to try to hide all of the accomplishments. And especially when you look at what he’s done on securing the border, all the promises made and promises kept. And don’t forget, the tax refunds will hit Americans’ paychecks coming this spring. That’s a lot of substantial relief for American families as well. And so that’s another big thing that we’re looking forward to tout heading into this midterm cycle.
SPEAKER 05 :
That was my next question. You know, we’re still really forever away when it comes to politics. News cycles change rapidly, as we know. What’s the likelihood that the economy does, in fact, as Secretary Besant predicts, really booms? By summertime, people’s sentiments, if in fact that poll I just read is correct, you would imagine people’s sentiments would change pretty dramatically, too.
SPEAKER 16 :
I think it will. I’ve seen Scott Besson talking about this. And I’ve seen that this administration is definitely betting on and counting on the economy to boom. And that’s exactly where the economy is headed. All of the markers indicate that. And so I think what we’ve seen in one year is a reversal of the disastrous four years under Biden. But what you’ll see going into this into 2026 is you’ll see further gains, further improvements. You’re going to see a hot economy. You’re going to see prices come down even further. You’re going to see the tax refunds hit. You’re going to see interest rates come down. So all of these things put together, I think the American people will really start to see the real intangible progress that this administration has made.
SPEAKER 05 :
Kirsten, I asked your chairman not too terribly long ago, I’ll ask you too, there was a turnout machine during President Trump’s campaign, the likes of which we’d never seen in conjunction with the RNC. Is that apparatus still in place? Is there still a machine to get people to vote early in places where they can, even though we’re not nuts about it here, but that’s the way it works in so many states? Is there a door-knocking, ballot-harvesting, early-voting campaign that will be aggressively coming from the RNC as there was during campaign 2024 war.
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, there is. And if you look at what we were able to do with the Tennessee special election, really driving out our base to go an early vote to make sure that they’re turning out. This is something that the RNC will absolutely be involved in at every level. Our political operation will be fully engaged in ensuring that we really turn out the votes early. We make sure people are aware that these elections are high stakes and incredibly important. And so especially as we start to ramp up and build momentum, that’s going to be a huge priority.
SPEAKER 05 :
And with about a minute to go, as I hear, there’ll be like almost a convention of sorts has been approved. There’ll be some kind of, what, summertime Republican convention, which doesn’t typically happen in midterms. Is that right?
SPEAKER 16 :
That’s correct. We are definitely very excited about the prospect of a midterm convention. During the RNC Winter Meeting, we changed a rule to allow the RNC to convene a convention during this year, during this midterm year. And so this would be an opportunity to show off all of our incredible candidates, tell the accomplishments of this administration, and really highlight all of the incredible Republican candidates that are going to be running in these races across the country.
SPEAKER 05 :
So you’ll pick a host city in the future about that? I guess there’s not a lot of details yet.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, that will be announced at a later time, and I’m looking forward to any announcement to come for sure.

Speaking of health, Victor Davis Hanson has been battling on that front, and he’s recorded, I think, some content, first content that he’s recorded since he’s been battling some cancer. Let’s check in with Victor, number 25.

First of all, Don Lemon is self-incriminating. He’s on tape talking about, with the leaders of this demonstration, I think even before that day that it actually occurred, the violence. And the way he talks and refers to himself, he sees himself as integral to that demonstration. And so if you don’t arrest, prosecute, indict, prosecute Don Lemon, you’re basically saying that people – because he said so. He said he had a First Amendment right, free speech. So what he didn’t say was, I, Don Lemon, and now proclaim myself a journalist. So I can go into a church and participate and aid and abet – people who are invading private property. They’re disrupting a religious observance. They’re shouting and silencing them. They’re terrorizing children. And in some cases, they’re blocking entrance and exits. And that’s my right to do that because I now declare that I’m a journalist. It doesn’t work that way.
SPEAKER 05 :
Exactly right. And by the way, Victor Davis Hanson has had like a chunk of lung removed and battling cancer and looks better than I do now. That’s depressing. He looks fantastic. Speaking of the First Amendment, we may not have time to get to all of this. The Seattle Times president, listen to this at number 24. This may be too long. Let’s try to squeeze it in here. As we all know, the state of the media organizations across the state is in a significant state of decline. Since 2004, we’ve lost a third of our newspapers across the state. Just yesterday, the Washington Post announced 500 layoffs, 300 of which came from their newsrooms. Washington state is not immune from this problem. We have to do everything we can to protect our journalism jobs that remain and provide incentives to grow the number of journalists in our state.
SPEAKER 05 :
Okay, and what he goes on to say is we need to tax people and have tax money handed to us to save our jobs. More on this in a minute.

Effectively, and I want you to listen closely to Mr. Fisco here, the Seattle Times president, in his testimony about his concern, you people just aren’t supporting the Seattle Times and the Washington Post anymore. And for this, we’re going to need some taxpayer subsidies. Number 24, listen.
SPEAKER 02 :
As we all know, the state of the media organizations across the state is in a significant state of decline. Since 2004, we’ve lost a third of our newspapers across the state. Just yesterday, the Washington Post announced 500 layoffs, 300 of which came from their newsrooms. Washington State is not immune from this problem. We have to do everything we can to protect our journalism jobs that remain and provide incentives to grow the number of journalists in our state, and Senate Bill 5400 will do just that. The tweaks that were made will expand the tent and widen the tent for those who will qualify. The bill will not impact general funds negatively. The modest surcharge in some tech companies that we talked about would be a drop in the bucket compared to the billions that they’ve made, many of which from our news content that they’ve used without any compensation. Google made $124 billion last year. $6 million represents 0.0048% of their profits. If you use that same number for someone who’s making $70,000, it comes out to be $3.36. Hardly a big lift for the tech platforms. Many news organizations would benefit from the package of this bill, from the passage, including the Seattle Times. One benefit is save jobs, but the real winners are Washington residents. And informed citizenry is the foundation of our democracy, and that’s what we try to do every single day.
SPEAKER 05 :
So this guy can’t make money at his newspaper, and so he is pleading with legislators in Washington state to start taxing successful big tech companies to subsidize their newspaper. You can’t make it up. This on the heels of the jock tax we talked about in Washington State. Taxing rich athletes every time they play or come through Seattle. Steve Moore, our chief economist. Seems like the last two weeks we’ve talked about Seattle. They are also Super Bowl victorious for now while they have a team. Steve, this is just amazing. Not surprising, but they’re openly saying it. We don’t have a business model that we can sustain on our own. People don’t want what we’re making, so we need rich people. We need you to take their money and subsidize us. Good morning.
SPEAKER 19 :
Yeah, good morning, Chris. I mean, the arrogance of these people that they think they’re indispensable. I mean, one of the things that we’re just bombarded with every single minute, every single day is news. So there’s not a shortage of news. It’s just the Seattle Times isn’t providing news that people want or care about, and they can’t make it in the free enterprise system. And of course, they want to become a welfare patient. And, you know, there’s no reason that taxpayers should have to pay for something that they don’t want to buy. But that’s the arrogance of the of the old press. You know, I was thinking when you when that gentleman was testifying, he played that clip about the I’m blanking out his name, the guy who made the videos.
SPEAKER 14 :
Fisco. Yeah.
SPEAKER 19 :
Yeah. I mean, he did that with a couple thousand dollars and broke the biggest news story of the year. Meanwhile, these multibillion dollar news agencies are asleep at the switch. So the idea that somehow we need to in this day and age, when when Media is everywhere and omnipresent that we have to be subsidizing the losers is really outrageous.

So big doings, 50,000 the Dow hits. What does this mean? Every time we hit these new milestones, I was once talking to a guy over a cigar. I said, he’s an investment guy. And I said, so does this just go on at infinitum? Like, how do you investment guys see it? With 60, 70, 80, 100,000? He goes, yeah. I mean, is that ideally that’s the way this goes and grows in perpetuity?
SPEAKER 19 :
It could be. I mean, listen, there’s been no better investment of the last 200 years or 150 years since the New York Stock Exchange opened its doors than investing in American companies. And we have the greatest entrepreneurs, the greatest enterprisers that create value. in the world. And so when I came to Washington in the early 1980s, the Dow was at 1,000. And think about this. Now we’re at 50,000 in 40 years. I mean, it’s a rocket ship. And if we were rewinding in time and I was doing your show 40-some years ago, I said, we’re going to go to Dow 50,000. You would have put me in a mental institution. And yet here we are. We now, the valuation of American companies is about $72 trillion. China is at about 20 trillion. Europe is about 6 trillion. Canada is at about 4 trillion. So we’re blowing away the rest of the world. And it’s really a result of our free enterprise system and the greatest entrepreneurs from Alvin Ederson through you know, Henry Ford and Rockefeller and now the great new entrepreneurs, the people like Elon Musk and then Bill Gates and the Warren Buffets of the world. So it makes you proud to be an American. And we’re just blowing, as I said, we’re blowing away everybody in the rest of the world. And it was bookended, by the way. It started, the big bull market expansion really began The modern expansion really began under Ronald Reagan with his tax cuts and disinflation. And it was bookended with Donald Trump’s pro-business policies. And boy, is it a sight to see. And the real tragedy is we should have privatized Social Security 30 or 40 years ago. Every young person who is now retiring would be a millionaire.
SPEAKER 05 :
I was just about to say this, and I, again, my economic ignorance, I plead it here, as I admit, when you just said, in the 80s, the Dow was at 1,000, and today it sits at 50,000. Is that what you said?
SPEAKER 1 :

That’s exactly what I said.
SPEAKER 19 :
By the way, the actual, if you look, I think it was August 1982, folks, you can look this up, the Dow hit 800. And then we had the big bull market expansion of Reagan, and then it accelerated even more under Bill Clinton, who was a kind of pro-free market-
SPEAKER 05 :
I want everybody to kind of soak in that for a minute because I hadn’t really heard it said this way. You talk about Trump accounts. I was just telling my kids about the Trump account and the way that works. They put in $1,000 seed money. That’s since I’ve been alive. I was born in 1977. So if I, I don’t know, put $1,000, $100 a month. in the market, or my parents, or somebody, I don’t know, pick any stupid smaller amount since the 80s, where would we be today, for heaven’s sakes?
SPEAKER 19 :
Yeah, you’d be a millionaire for sure, and maybe a multi-millionaire, and look, Trump said yesterday, the day before, he said, look, I think I can get the Dow to 100,000 in the next three years. Now, Trump never exaggerates, you know that, Chris. But, you know, it could happen. I mean, you could see another doubling as we see these incredible – look, we have completely dominated in America the Internet age with incredible companies from Apple to Amazon to Google to Microsoft, et cetera, et cetera. And now we’re entering this incredible new era of artificial intelligence, robotics, satellite technology, bioengineering, all of this stuff. And the United States is well positioned to lead in those two. And all we need to do to make that happen, Chris, just get the government the hell out of the way.
SPEAKER 05 :
Having said all that, I don’t want to be a negative Nelly because I love the golden age, and I’m with you all the way. It’s just that there’s this one negative thing, but it’s just unavoidable. As those things you just mentioned are on the come, the need for some people in certain roles, particularly white-collar middle management types, there are stories that it’s that middle management type. They can’t find work. They’re just dying for work, these kind of white-collar guys. So there is a jobs problem in the short order. Is that going to be a long-term problem?
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, that’s well said. And what’s happening now, frankly, is that a lot of Americans – I’m really worried about the younger Americans because – They’re graduating from college with philosophy degrees and ethnic study degrees and psychology degrees. That’s not really in high demand, but if you know how to do anything, if you’ve got any skill, that’s in very high demand. There’s a mismatch between what Americans are being trained to do by our high schools and colleges and what employers want. And so we better fix that problem because the disruption is definitely coming, Chris. I mean, a lot of the jobs today will not exist 10 years from now. I mean, we won’t have a lot of truck drivers 10 years from now. It’ll all be automated. You know, all these kinds of things are happening now. At really warp speed, it’s amazing how fast this technological revolution is changing. Now, it’s going to be awesome to live through. I mean, we’re going to be literally the technologies. People in wheelchairs are going to be able to get up and walk. We’re going to give sight to the blind. I mean, the medical technologies will be incredible. incredible. It’ll be, you know, we can cut the cost of building a new home in half so everybody can buy a mansion. So it’s going to be an exciting future. But you’re right, Chris, there’s going to be a lot of disruption. And my advice to people, especially young people, get ready for this and make sure you’ve got the kind of skills that are needed in this 21st century economy.
SPEAKER 05 :
There is a story about Gen Z going broke out there. Why? Because of DoorDash. From the Washington Times, DoorDash dependency sending Gen Z and millennials into debt. The online food delivery business projected to generate a record 36… $0.3 billion in revenue, up from $31 billion in 2024. Revenue is expected to explode in the next decade as more people tap into the convenience of dinner delivered to their door. And for young people, the primary users of online food delivery, the daily drop-offs are harming their finances. So I know we talk about young people struggling, but I look at online gaming, which has become ubiquitous, and I look at DoorDash stuff. We got to talk about that, don’t we?
SPEAKER 19 :
Well, I just kind of laugh that the young people are sort of so pampered by this new digital age that they think somebody else should be preparing all their food for them every day. And then they’re saying, oh, I’m going broke because I’m spending so much money having someone else cook my food and prepare my food. But this future is just amazing. The other day, I got a package from something we had bought online. and it was uh delivered i don’t know if you’ve seen it by this little little robot thing it was like a cart like a wagon but it was motorized it came right up to my door and dropped it at our door and then scooted away i mean these these uh these are amazing times we’re living in it’s almost and like remember yeah you’re probably too young to remember this the tv show the jetsons the cartoon but it was all the flying saucers all over well look in 25 years we’ll probably have flying cars um it’s amazing the future that’s coming
SPEAKER 05 :

What I was saying earlier about the Epstein story and the fact that Democrats are not serious about it, they just want to keep the story alive, and they’re willing to lie and have lied. I keep hearing, oh, Massey’s really going to get to the bottom of it. He’s not the only one. I mean, it’s not just Democrats. It’s guys like Massey, too. There is fundraising. There is energy. There is attention. There is clicks in this story. And if you don’t understand how one is manipulated, I know this audience is sophisticated and you do, but if you don’t understand that these people are all motivated by the same things anybody else is, just because they happen to be talking about something that you deeply care about doesn’t mean you’re not being manipulated by these people just the same. You say there must be justice for these children who were victimized. Okay, are you hearing anybody seriously getting to the bottom of anything, or do you just keep hearing people lob bombs? Like Jasmine Crockett, number 18. Number 18.

But you know, when I see the moment on the House where you seem to accuse Republican Lee Zeldin of taking money from Jeffrey Epstein, but it seemed like if it was not the same person, I wonder, like, is there times in which the rhetoric goes too far? There are times in which you should say, you know, maybe I messed that one up.
SPEAKER 01 :
No, not in this environment. I don’t. I think that, you know, we are really in uncharted territory.
SPEAKER 04 :
So I hear your argument that you’re reflecting the urgency necessary. And so that’s why you won’t give an inch.

She literally said, when asked, did the rhetoric go too far or I messed this one up? No, not in this environment. She accused the EPA director of taking money from Jeffrey Epstein. And in fact, it wasn’t even the same Lee Zeldin. But she doesn’t care because it’s a means to an end. These members of Congress, they see these redacted names, unredacted. They can literally go to the House floor right now. unencumbered, immune from prosecution, and they can start reading names if they want. Massey says he’s got the names. Ro Khanna says he’s got the names. Read the damn names then. Let’s go, boys. Put up or shut up. We’re right here. I’m ready. I want to hear it. And naturally, they don’t produce that. But boy, do they produce a lot of clicks. And they produce a lot of hero worship. Oh, Thomas Massey’s out there really fighting. While everyone else is covering it up, Thomas Massey is fighting. Is he, though? Mortgage affordability hits four-year high as the White House points to Trump housing policies. Mortgage affordability, again, four-year high after rates fell in January. Meanwhile, the House has overwhelmingly passed a housing package. which is a big deal, bipartisan legislation that’s intended to make homeownership more affordable and modernize rural housing programs. So we’ll continue to stay on top of that. I think we’re going to see a different economic picture by midsummer, and I think the tone and the attitude is going to be entirely different.
