(Worthy News) – President Donald Trump said Tuesday that Iran is in a “state of collapse,” asserting that intensified U.S. pressure — including a blockade of Iranian ports — is forcing Tehran to reconsider its position and seek relief through reopening critical global waterways.

In a Truth Social post, Trump wrote, “Iran has just informed us that they are in a ‘State of Collapse.’ They want us to ‘Open the Hormuz Strait,’ as soon as possible, as they try to figure out their leadership situation.” The president added that he believes Iran will ultimately stabilize its leadership despite the current turmoil.

Pressure Campaign Driving Iran’s Response

The Trump administration has escalated economic and military pressure on Iran, with the blockade significantly restricting the country’s ability to export oil. According to the president, this strategy is now compelling Iranian leaders to explore options for reopening the Strait of Hormuz and forming a unified proposal for peace.

However, Iran has shown little public indication that it is prepared to concede. Officials and state-linked messaging have instead pushed back, signaling that Tehran believes it still holds leverage — particularly as global oil supplies tighten.

With a substantial portion of the world’s oil supply moving through the Strait of Hormuz, continued disruption has intensified global energy concerns, placing pressure not only on the U.S. but also on European and Asian economies.

The White House indicated that any agreement must meet firm U.S. conditions. Iran has reportedly proposed reopening the Strait of Hormuz if the United States lifts its blockade, while also seeking to delay discussions surrounding its nuclear program.

President Trump, however, has expressed dissatisfaction with the offer, signaling that his administration remains committed to its core demands — including curbing Iran’s nuclear ambitions and ending its support for terror proxies across the Middle East.
