SPEAKER 06 :
This is Rush to Reason.
SPEAKER 13 :
You are going to shut your damn yapper and listen for a change because I got you pegged, sweetheart. You want to take the easy way out because you’re scared. And you’re scared because if you try and fail, there’s only you to blame. Let me break this down for you. Life is scary. Get used to it. There are no magical fixes.
SPEAKER 07 :
With your host, John Rush.
SPEAKER 16 :
My advice to you is to do what your parents did.
SPEAKER 15 :
Get a job, sir. You haven’t made everybody equal. You’ve made them the same, and there’s a big difference.
SPEAKER 14 :
Let me tell you why you’re here. You’re here because you know something. What you know you can’t explain, but you feel it. You’ve felt it your entire life, that there’s something wrong with the world. You don’t know what it is, but it’s there. It is this feeling that has brought you to me.
SPEAKER 15 :
Are you crazy? Am I? Or am I so sane that you just blew your mind?
SPEAKER 08 :
It’s Rush to Reason with your host, John Rush. Presented by High Five Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, and Electric, where every call ends with a high five.
SPEAKER 17 :
All right. Happy Monday, everybody. It is a great day. I’ll talk more about an inauguration in just a little bit as we get rolling through today’s program. Of course, three full hours to get things started off, though. We’ve got Lewis calling in from High Five Plumbing and Electrical. Lewis, welcome. How are you, sir? I’m doing fantastic. How about yourself? Always a joy to talk to you, of course. And you’re on the electric side for Hive. Or I assume, you know, I haven’t spoken to you directly, but I assume that’s what you’re doing, Lewis.
SPEAKER 16 :
You know what? I’m kind of… I help with all three trades. Okay. So the heating side, plumbing, and electric. All right.
SPEAKER 17 :
So you’re across the board. All right. Well, on a day like today or this weekend, which I’m sure you guys have been extremely busy because of all of the things that go on in regards to the cold weather when that happens. And, I mean, Lewis, where do we start? I mean, when the cold weather hits, problems are going to come up.
SPEAKER 16 :
Yeah, that’s without a doubt. That’s usually when they arise. And typically, you know, starting with plumbing, obviously the obvious one is frozen pipes, something freezing in the house. And, you know, surprisingly, it happens with both your drinking water, like the supply, but also the drain. Like you’d be surprised how many people call, like, hey, something’s going on, things are backed up. Well, you’ve got – there’s ice damming happening there. So, yeah, we get a lot of that. We’re bombarded with those types.
SPEAKER 17 :
For those listening where, I mean, yes, most likely going to need some sort of professional help, is there anything they can do on the front side to try to help with that? I mean, let’s say, for example, they find they’ve got a frozen pipe. What should they do, Louis?
SPEAKER 16 :
Well, so if you’ve got a frozen pipe, it kind of depends on where the location of it is, right? So typically, like if it’s – a majority of ones are going to be your outdoor spigot.
SPEAKER 05 :
Right.
SPEAKER 16 :
If you can kind of open up just a little bit to where if it starts to thaw, it will – or if it starts to expand, it has somewhere to go. Because the problem is what happens is – these pipes start to freeze, right? Once they’re frozen, once it keeps going like what we’re experiencing right now, we have prolonged days of sub-zero temperatures at night, and it doesn’t really get above freezing during the day. As it’s getting colder and colder, that ice expands and expands. If it has nowhere to go, it’s going to break the pipes. And you won’t know that until it’s thawed. So right now we’re getting lots of calls with people not having any water. Here in a day or two, we’re going to get a whole bunch of calls with people that they have too much water in places they don’t want it.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, that’s the fear. And for those of you that maybe are in – and I know, Lewis, this is really hard because a lot of folks know their home really well. Some don’t really know it much. Some are pretty handy. Some are not. And the reality is, you know, if you’ve got the ability to shut some of that water off in those areas where you know you’ve got a frozen pipe, you know, that’s great. But, Lewis, as you know, in a lot of cases, you can’t isolate it that way.
SPEAKER 16 :
No, no, and so what we usually tell people, some of the basic things are if you can keep your heat up a little hotter in the house, you know, just because that will do a little bit more as far as hopefully getting a little bit, just that little extra heat to those areas that are usually a little bit more cool. Maybe your insulation, if it’s an older house, the insulation’s been moved around or something, or it’s not encompassing those pipes where it needs to. Turn that heat up in your house a little bit. You’ve got cabinet doors. Open up the cabinet doors, especially at night, so you’ll get some of that warmer interior heat air, hopefully circulating some of the areas where it’s not circulating. Any little bit will help at those times. And even at night, if you know you have some problem areas, some people have had some issues in the past. leave the water dripping in as many of your spigots or your faucets and things like that as you can. Those little things will go a long way.
SPEAKER 17 :
I was looking at some of the neighborhood Facebook posts and stuff over the weekend, and one of the things that came up was just, you know, what do you keep the temperature of your house right now to try to accommodate everything and then still save money and so on. I mean, man, Lewis, some of these people keep their houses at a stage where, holy cow, I would freeze to death. And on top of that, I think some of the things you just mentioned might become – a larger problem so if you’re somebody out there that you know you’re on a budget and i get that lewis i get you get the fact that it’s expensive to keep the home a little more warm on the same token repairs aren’t cheap but your water example would be one where you know a little bit of water use which you’re not going to have that much with just having it you know trickle through that that little bit of movement makes all the difference in the world and if you’re on a budget and you can’t have the higher heat we’ll at least do that
SPEAKER 16 :
Absolutely. If you’re talking about the budget, I mean, we’re talking, you know, maybe about four, three to four, five days ish max of keeping your heat cranked a little bit higher and keeping that water flow a little bit. That little additional, you know, expense on your utilities is going to save you a lot because a flood repair. I mean, there’s no cheap way to take care of that.
SPEAKER 17 :
No, and that’s where it even gets in, in some cases, depending upon how bad it is. You could get into insurance claims and deductibles and all sorts of other things. You just don’t want to go down that path at all, and it’s not a good situation, Lewis, as you know. So we try to avoid that at all costs.
SPEAKER 16 :
100%, yeah. Plus, you can ruin some of your possessions. There are lots of things people don’t think about when they don’t want to turn their thermostat up maybe four or five degrees.
SPEAKER 17 :
Now, here’s a thought, too, for some folks that maybe have had a history in some areas of having some troubles along those lines. And space heaters, while they’re great, you know, depending upon the type and so on, I’m not always a huge fan of Lewis. They can have as many issues fire-wise as any. As maybe, you know, again, some cases don’t even want to go down that path. So here’s a question I’ve got. And this is just something I was going to throw out today while you’re here, because you guys are on the electric side as well. Depending upon, you know, that person, their home and what the history is, would Would they be – in some cases, would they be well off to have you guys out and install some sort of a permanent electric baseboard-type heat in that area to where no matter what, that particular area is always on some sort of a safety valve, quote-unquote, if you would? In other words, you’re not going to set that thing so it’s running at 80 degrees, but if the temp dropped to a certain – temperature, that baseboard heat, electric heat would then come on, and at least that particular area wouldn’t have some of that freezing that might go on. Is that something somebody could get you guys out and do?
SPEAKER 16 :
Oh, 100%. In fact, we do that pretty often. In fact, right now we do get calls from property management companies for apartments where they have their fire control pump room where you’ve got the water for their sprinklers. Well, there’s no heat in there. They never had a problem over the years, and all of a sudden now they’re having frozen pipes in there. So, yeah, we do baseboard heaters in there. There’s also these little fan-operated heaters. Electric heaters that you can get, you can adjust the heat. So like you said, you’re not trying to keep it at 70, 80 degrees in there. You’re trying to keep it about 50. Right. Just keep it freezing.
SPEAKER 17 :
That’s right.
SPEAKER 16 :
And modular homes, we actually do a lot of that with modular homes. Sometimes underneath the house, we’ll put something like that. If you do have a history of frozen pipes, also some heat tape. So heat tape is really good where we could just run that just along your pipe wherever it’s exposed, and that will absolutely keep the pipes from freezing. So there’s lots of things we can do. Each situation is going to be different. It’s important just to get us out there so we can give you evaluations, see what’s going to make the most sense for your house and your budget.
SPEAKER 17 :
Awesome. Lewis, again, I appreciate you guys for all of you listening. High five. It is 877. We high five. Really easy to know. In fact, I had a text message yesterday, Lewis, where somebody was having some issues with some with some boiler heat and some things like that. And I said, listen, call these guys. They’ll get you dialed in. So, you know, gave the number out again.
SPEAKER 1 :

SPEAKER 17 :

SPEAKER 07 :
God Country Reason Now back to John Rush.
SPEAKER 17 :
All right, and we are back. Happy Monday. Happy New President Day. I know it’s MLK Day as well, but it is also the day that Donald Trump was in J.D. Vance, Inauguration Day. And I got to watch the majority of that today, which was very fortunate to be able to do. Normally, I don’t get the ability to do that, but I was able to be able to set some time aside. And some of my clients were able to work with me on that where I was able to actually watch. Otherwise, I’d normally be on the phone. Before we get into some of that, though, question of the day from Friday. What is the name of the private, all-male, historically black college located in Atlanta, Georgia, which is the alma mater of Martin Luther King Jr., Spike Lee, and Edward Moses? That would be the Morehouse College. Today’s impossible question. In 1964, what was the prize motivation for Martin Luther King Jr. being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize? And if you got a chance to look at or to watch the inauguration today, if you’re like me, it was, in my opinion, not like a normal inauguration. In fact, Trump’s speech was very much not that way. It didn’t bother him one bit that the old administration was sitting literally right behind him to his left. And he just hammered him. You know, basically, it’s a new day in America. We’re going to move forward. We’re going to call out some of the things that have not been correct. Over the past four years, we’ve got a crisis at the border that he’s going to stop on day one, literally announced that today as to what he’s national national emergency at the border. He’s going to send troops down to get things handled and get things straightened out immediately. He talked about there only being two genders. A lot of this woke DEI nonsense, it’s all over government, he is going to end. And on down the line he went. He did not leave hardly a stone unturned. And all I was thinking the entire time was, it’s about time. Hallelujah. Now, of course, when you looked at the faces of those sitting behind him, they were not in agreement, of course. Although I will tell you that in the first room he was in, not the second one where it was mostly his supporters, but in the first room where there’s a lot of dignitaries and people like that, I will say that even when people were giving him a standing ovation, most stood. There was a few hardcore Dems like, you know, Joe and Kamala that didn’t stand. Schumer, some of those. But all in all, most stood. And if they were really looking at things correctly, they would all be standing. Because it is a new day. Now, as you all probably also know, there were pardons given today, early, actually several. One, of course, being for Fauci, which you just know, okay, if he did nothing wrong, why does he need pardoned? If he can stand up to a trial and stand up on his own, be accountable, answer for the things that he did, why is it such a huge issue? Well, I guess Joe probably knows more than we do, and he pardoned him. He also pardoned a lot of his own family, which, not surprised. I predicted that he would do more of his own family. What I’m actually surprised at the most is he didn’t pardon himself or Jill, his wife. It really felt like he would pardon himself and his wife because his wife’s as much of a ringleader in the Biden crime family as the others that he pardoned. And I’m not exaggerating when I say that. And it really is the Biden crime family. You know, go look up some of the things that they have done, some of the pay to play and so on. And definitely there. So, again, great day as far as I’m concerned. I enjoyed it. In my opinion, one of the best parts of the entire inauguration, Carrie Underwood did a great job in a very weird place where the music, whoever the sound guy was, probably no longer has a job. I’m joking because I don’t know, but never could get the music going, so she finally just went off on her own and did it. Good for her. But outside of that particular moment, the black preacher who was just stellar, Pastor Lorenzo Sewell, who President Trump picked out on his own. He’s a black preacher in Detroit. And I tell you what, his prayer, which they put in the middle, they should have put at the end. Whoever decided the order of things, that was a huge mistake. They should have literally had him close, because that was a closer of a prayer, if there ever was one, to get the country off on the right foot. And I mean to tell you what, if that prayer, no matter whether you’re a Christian or not, if that prayer didn’t move you, I don’t know what would. interlaced some of what MLK, you know, the day today is, and interlaced some things from Martin Luther King Jr. and so on. But just if you get a chance to go look at anything in the inauguration at all, look up his prayer and watch it, and it’s moving. And I don’t say that a lot. You guys know me. I’m not one typically to get moved by too many things, emotionally speaking. That one was moving. That one, when it was done, literally, I texted several people and said, I’m proud to be an American. Now, I always am. But after that prayer, definitely proud to be an American after he was done. It was that moving of a prayer that if you haven’t had a chance to watch it, do so. That young man, because he’s not super old that I can see, I’m guessing Charlie probably, what, early 30s or so maybe from – I didn’t look him up to see what his age is, but I’m guessing early, mid-30s, something like that. In my world, that’s a young man. Stellar. I mean, I’m speechless. I mean, the guy just did an absolutely fantastic job. Didn’t mince any words. Again, laid things out in a prayer that should be said on a daily basis, and he was not apologetic about it whatsoever and just laid it out there. Now, were the other two prayers good? I honestly can’t tell you what they even said. Because that one overshadowed the other two. I feel sorry for the last guy. I think he was a Catholic guy. I feel bad for him because you’re not remembering anything he said because you were still focused on what the black preacher in the middle did. And I’m not exaggerating when I say that. You have to go watch that part of it and you’ll know exactly what I mean by that. And then Trump’s speech was good. He did nothing that I didn’t expect other than, and even when he was talking to some of his supporters in the second speech where he went to the second room because everything was moved indoors. He even said there was a lot of people that didn’t want me to do this speech, didn’t want me to call out some of the things in the past administration. I should be the kinder, gentler, you know, first day president and so on. He’s like, no, we’re going to head a different direction. We’re going to tell everybody the direction we’re headed. I was elected by a landslide by people that want to see this new direction. Why would I not address it? I’m paraphrasing what Trump said, but that’s basically what he said. Am I right, Charlie? I mean, essentially what he said was I was elected to do these things. This is what the majority of Americans want to have happen. They want to see things go a different direction. And I’m here to make sure that happens. This administration is going to head that direction. Good for him. Good for him. Just him talking about ending this whole gender nonsense to me was just, man, what a breath of fresh air. We only have two genders. And you know what? If that steps on somebody’s toes, so be it. You guys have already heard my feelings on all of that anyway, so what? Get over it. Now, there were some things that I read afterwards talking about how there are some government forms and so on that I guess now will have to be adjusted because I guess there’s some forms you can put down that you, I guess, don’t know what your gender is. And yeah, your passport being one of them. Thank you, Charlie. So some of those things might have to change, be fixed, whatever. Okay, so not that hard, by the way. And if you don’t know what you are, you know, again, I’ve said this many times. If you don’t know what sex you are, what you were assigned at birth, I guess, I mean, I feel bad for you, but you need other kinds of help besides the kind you’re looking for. And patronizing you isn’t helping you. You know, ignoring the real problem isn’t helping these people. And the real problem is there’s some mental things going on that they really need some drastic help with, and we should help them seek that help out. So anyways, that’s another conversation probably for another day. But the five pardons Joe gave out for his family, James Biden, that’s Joe’s younger brother. Sarah Jones Biden, that’s James’s wife. Valerie Biden Owens, that’s Joe’s younger sister. John T. Owens, that’s Valerie’s husband. And Francis Biden, that is Joe’s younger brother. So other than Jill and him, excuse me, other than he and Jill, he’s got the Biden crime family pretty well pardoned. Because remember, Hunter was first. So he’s pretty well got that part of it now dialed in. His excuse is, well, you know, this administration is probably going to come after us. And so basically to make their life a little easier, I’m just going to pardon him now. Again, I’m paraphrasing. That’s basically what he said. He’s worried that the Trump administration is going to come after them. And my answer back would be, well, if there’s nothing there that they’ve done wrong, what’s the problem? Or are you fearful that he’ll do the same thing to your family that you did to Trump and his family? Is that your real fear, Joe? That he’ll weaponize the DOJ and the FBI like you did against Donald Trump? Is that the real fear, Joe? Now, in Joe’s defense, I’m not sure he knows what he’s signing. I watched a video from Speaker of the House Johnson, who basically said that he has seen with his own two eyes and had conversations with Joe Biden where Joe has no idea what executive order he’s even signing. And I’ll get into maybe that a little bit later in today’s program. Literally, Mike Johnson has said he doesn’t know what he’s signing. His aides are coming up with things, laying these things in front of him. He is signing them, and he has no idea what he’s signing. Yeah, who’s in charge? That’s what Mike even said. Who’s really in charge right now? So for those of you that are on that side of the aisle, I don’t know how you can defend that. You’ve got literally and I watched it today. You’ve got, you know, the leader of the free world who’s doing well to stay awake during President Trump’s inauguration. And I’m not exaggerating when I say that he was he was asleep through part of it. And I’m not joking. As he’s walking out, all I would all I was thinking is, Jill, get that man a scooter. I’m not trying to make fun, but literally get that man a scooter. Because he’s struggling. I’m guessing that he’s glad today’s over. Now, out of everything I said along those lines, and I even sent this to my boys, Bill Clinton, he and Hillary were there, which actually they were kind of jovial, and even Hillary was actually smiling, which I was kind of surprised at. But Bill, and this is not an exaggeration, if you watched Bill Clinton during the entire ceremony, even on his way out, he was having a good time today. He was smiling, jovial. I mean, now keep in mind that if Bill Clinton were to run again in his own party, he is unelectable. He’s too far to the right for most people that are on the left right now running the party. And I’m not exaggerating when I say that. And not that I agreed with every single thing Bill Clinton did when he was in office. I would have taken him over Joe Biden any day, any day. I would have taken Bill Clinton over Obama any day. So Bill Clinton in today’s Democrat Party, by the way, is unelectable. He’s not hardcore left enough for them. Now, Hillary, that’s a different situation. But Bill himself, he’s unelectable. But out of everything that I noticed today, outside of all the things I mentioned a moment ago, which you’ll not hear anywhere in the press, by the way. was just the look on Bill Clinton’s face during the ceremony and then after on his way out, even shaking the hands of Trump’s kids and so on. Honestly, Bill Clinton, to me, is still one of those guys where if you want to go to the ballgame and have a good time, drag him along. Because that’s the impression that he still gives to this day. So just a side note. All right. I’ve got a guest joining us here. We’ll talk more about this in a moment. Actually going to really get into Pete Hegseth as well here in just one moment. Stacey Washington is going to join us. In the meantime, we talked to Lewis from Hi-Fi Plumbing and Electrical a moment ago. And, yeah, folks, if you’ve got any issues going on right now when it comes to plumbing, electrical, whatever those needs are, please give Hi-Fi a call. 877-WE-HI-5.

All right, we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Also, the other pardon, of course, was General Mark Milley and, of course, Representative Liz Cheney and among others that investigated the J6 riots, which you heard Trump talk about that briefly earlier. Today as well, not during his inauguration speech that came afterwards when he was talking to really the rest of his room full of supporters, if you would, when it was all said and done. And even even he mentioned some of that. It’s like, OK, wait a minute. These people came against Donald Trump and came out of that committee with a lot of literally false things, lies. No other way to say it. Literal lies like him attacking the Secret Service person. in the car they were in, in the motorcade, none of which, of course, was true. But these are things that that J6 committee came up with. And, of course, now, because of the pardon, none of them will be held accountable for any of those things that they did, even though they were flat out and out lies at that time. And Donald Trump had said that at that time that they were, and it’s going to come out even more so that they were. Stacey Washington joining us now. Stacey, welcome. How are you?
SPEAKER 04 :
Thank you so much for having me on.
SPEAKER 17 :
I appreciate it. You are host of a nationally syndicated Sirius XM show. Stacey on the right, author of the book Eternally Cancel Proof. Let’s talk a little bit. I mean, before we get into it, I’m sure you watched the inauguration. I was talking about that just a few minutes ago. And what a great day today.
SPEAKER 04 :
Oh, amazing. It was incredibly historic to see President Trump after four years of lawfare and almost fighting for his very life. In fact, he was fighting for his very life. He stood there and I was trying to imagine, as I was watching, if I could even begin to approach some of the feeling that he must be having standing there and experiencing that, being welcomed into the portico. President Biden actually lifted his voice up and said, welcome home. I was kind of blown back by that. It was so friendly and unlike the actions that he took against President Trump, which leads me back to some reporting that has been coming out. It’s like trickling out a little here and there that President Biden wasn’t really even aware of some of the actions he took the speaker, sharing a story from over a year ago that he didn’t even know he had pots, oil, or liquefied natural gas.
SPEAKER 17 :
Yeah, the LNG, right, natural gas, that’s right, exports.
SPEAKER 04 :
Yeah, yeah, so a really interesting day. There was a lot, for me it was emotional because I did some service for Team Trump and Trump Victory in 2020. And I just remember the sense of sadness and foreboding I had when he was not the president in 2020. And I think the Democrats and their movement would have been better off had they had President Trump of 2020, because President Trump of 2024 is a whole nother beast, a beast that cannot be unmade, a beast that they will rue the day. And I think generationally. Democrats will look back to this period of time and see a lot of places where their movement will be damaged going forward. And I think the other part that was like a mandate beyond the popular vote was to have all the social media giants who canceled Trump donate a million dollars each to the inauguration and then show up for it. They actually, you know, kind of shoehorned themselves into that tiny space where I would have expected to see other great voices, other full supporters of the president. They were there, and it was an indicator that they don’t believe the Democrats are coming back in four years.
SPEAKER 17 :
I think you’re right on that.
SPEAKER 04 :
I agree. They plan five years out, right? Big companies plan in five-year increments, and these people were there today, which means they don’t think they’re going to be ushering in a Democratic president in four years. So it was an interesting day.
SPEAKER 17 :
Oh, very. After, of course, what we saw over the weekend with TikTok, which I’ll get into later. I haven’t covered any of that yet, but I’ll get into that stuff a little bit later in the program. One of the things, too, Stacey, I talked about this when I opened up and want to get your thoughts. The pastors that prayed, the rabbi and the black pastor and the priest that prayed towards the end, Number one, whoever set that lineup up did it wrong. They should have put the black guy last because he was the closer. His was the best of the three. And if you weren’t moved to tears during his prayer, something’s wrong with you.
SPEAKER 04 :
There was – well, so I’ve heard him pray before. And so I was expecting him to bring the fire. He did. He really was spirit-filled. He was like, this is my last chance to speak to you, so I’m going to send you home.
SPEAKER 05 :
Yep.
SPEAKER 04 :
It was a great time of prayer. I couldn’t help but open my eyes a little bit and look at the television and see who else in the space was kind of glancing around. And I feel like there’s a disconnect between some of the people in the room and how serious that was. Amy Klobuchar was executing her duties as some kind of committee person who has to do with inauguration. And I understand that it’s an honor and it’s a great thing to do. And I didn’t want her to look sad, but I just feel like Democrats are really disconnected from the feeling of the country.
SPEAKER 05 :
They are.
SPEAKER 04 :
This was a pivotal election and it was a pivotal moment today for the inauguration to fall on Martin Luther King Day.
SPEAKER 05 :
Right.
SPEAKER 04 :
With the historic level of black support for this president and a historic level of Hispanic support for this president. And then to have it happens to be my husband’s birthday, which is, you know, not normally he’s not normally his birthday on the inauguration, but. It was just a big day for everyone. I felt like there was so much emotional goodwill there with him today.
SPEAKER 17 :
Awesome. Well, number one, say happy birthday to your husband. So it’s always a special day, of course. And I agree with you. I think there’s a lot of things, you know, right now going on in the country. I think that the left, I’ve talked about this on my program many times. It’s why they lost. They have a huge disconnect, especially with the male voter in this country, Stacey, and not just a specific, you know, like me, white male voter, but all male voters. They’re just out of touch. But really, I think, Stacey, it shows that it’s not only those folks are out of touch with, but to your point, they’re just out of touch with the pulse of America right now. One of the things that Donald Trump started off with in his speech was just talking about from this point forward, we’re going to have two genders, no more of this nonsense of multiple genders and all of this wokeness and men playing women’s sports and so on. I mean, that stuff is going to end. And yet you look around the room and those things were being said. And to your point, the amount of disconnect the left has along those lines is like, Do you guys not know why you lost?
SPEAKER 04 :
So there’s that, but I’ve actually been kind of on a – I spent about a week doing this, and I’m not ashamed of it, but I kind of was surprised at myself how often every single day for like a week – I went searching and hunting out the comments of the normal kind of lefty commentators on MSNBC and CNN. I just wanted to see what their temperature was. And I’ve been doing this since the election because I’ve been looking to see if there’s a turning point. And, um, You know, former DNC chair Donna Brazile said Sunday week, she’s on television, and she said there will be no resistance. We will only resist policy that we actually oppose, but we are not going to assume a stance of actual permanent resistance. That is not who the Democrats are right now. And I felt like she was giving marching orders. The only issue is, while Donna Brazile goes on the shows, and I certainly watch her clips every week, I don’t believe the Democrat rank and file are listening to Donna Brazile anymore. No. They’re looking for a new DNC chair. I watched that panel. That panel was full of people who were mostly concerned about genuflecting and kind of getting claps from the audience instead of truly discussing and unpacking what happened in the election. We need a viable two-party system. That’s what the founders left to us. It’s our heritage as a nation. And Democrats and Republicans should all believe in supporting Israel, strong national defense, You know, peace through strength, that there are two genders, that biology is real. You know, we shouldn’t have an argument about climate change, which is unproven, untested science. We should not be attacking people for their for their faith. We should not be forcing gender ideology on people in either direction, whether it’s, you know, adopting the kids and strapping their chest down at school. Transitioning behind their parents back or the other direction, which is to say that some children don’t suffer from gender dysmorphia and that they shouldn’t have counseling and have their parents supported through that so that they can make decisions as adults that aren’t permanent and life altering while they’re still going through puberty. So there’s so much to it. But at the end of the day. Americans stood up and they said to the elites who thought they had it all locked down. They thought we got the K through 12. We have the universities. We have the unions. We have television in Hollywood. This is our country. And Americans stood up and said, yeah, but you don’t really have the whole country because you don’t have the voters and we’re going to usher in a new era. So I still have to pinch myself. I feel like I got my favorite best Christmas present, President Trump back in office. I’ve just been waiting for him to go back there and And I think my favorite moment out of everything besides Melania’s clothing, which is good. I’m going to be eating her up every single day. The clothes, the looks. Absolutely. But my favorite moment was Joe Biden. I guess he forgot he hated Trump. And he just said, welcome home. I just wanted to run through the television and just everybody group hug because it was so great. to see President Trump and Melania go into that door, to see them go in there and to know they’re back.
SPEAKER 17 :
I agree. Let’s talk a little bit. And by the way, everything you said, can’t disagree with anything that you said. And I think the left has a real problem on their hands. And I think they’re a faction party right now, which typically they are not. Typically they’re a fractured party, I should say. Typically they’re lock, stock, and barrel. They are all speaking the same language day in and day out, and they’re not right now, which… by the way, is a problem on their side. We can talk about that another day. Let’s talk about some of the nominations, especially Pete Hegseth, of course. That’s one of the things why I wanted to have you on in the first place. And let’s face it, you know, Pete is not a gifted politician. He’s never really been in that end of things. Yes, he’s been on TV. Yes, he knows how to speak to the camera and so on. But when it comes to the political speak end of things, That’s not him. Not that that’s a problem, by the way, Stacey, because I like that about him. I like the fact he’s not some career politician. He’ll handle things much differently. Do you think at the end of the day he’ll get confirmed and has some of what I just said hurt him?
SPEAKER 04 :
Well, I mean, it hurts them with people who aren’t as political as you and I. Right.
SPEAKER 05 :
Right.
SPEAKER 04 :
People who don’t remember. I remember being told to my space by family members, by, you know, anybody who could talk, who was a Democrat, that I should stop talking about Bill Clinton’s personal life and his marriage. If Hillary was fine with what happened in the Oval Office, then I should be fine with it, too. This is right around the time of my transition from being a Democrat to a Republican. I found what he did so disgusting. And I felt that it kind of disabled him from leading the country. But none of the Democrats felt that way. And I have to tell you. I simply said, okay, if those are the new rules, they apply to everyone. And I have since not really cared. And I’m a Christian, so I do care. I do care about our leader’s morals. But I also understand that God can use anyone. He used David. He was a murderer and an adulterer. Every person in the Bible is flawed, immensely flawed. And all of us are incredibly flawed. The good news for us is we don’t have access to Hollywood with cameras live in our living room and dining room and bedroom to record us as we act the way that we act, as we are ourselves. That’s right. So I’ve taken that to heart. I’ve studied a lot about David’s life, and I feel like for him to have been who he was in the beginning and the arc of his story, and he’s laying on his deathbed, a failed father, a failed husband, and a failed leader, but still… redeemed by the grace of God, then certainly God can use Trump. And he has, and I believe he will again. But the big deal for me with Pete Hegseth is, you know why they’re talking about his marriage? Because he’s a double Ivy League educated man. five or six-time New York Times bestselling author. That’s all they have to talk about. That’s all they’ve got. The man is brilliant, and he’s a decorated warrior, and he understands the warfighter. And I’m a veteran, and I believe I speak for literally millions of veterans when I say, rather to have a man who has been through the trenches in his marriage and has come on the other side, that understands war and has shot and killed people and been shot at better to have him at the head of the dod to bring our warfighter back up to the most excellent standard so that we can break things blow up things and win wars and command air space sea and land with efficiency better to bring him back to raise that standard whatever his marital history is between him and his wife than to have some pencil pusher out of academia ruining our military with social experimentation. And also, he doesn’t believe women should be in combat. Neither do most women on active duty. That’s what they don’t want to talk about. How I was on active duty, I actively did not want to be in combat, and I didn’t really want to be deployed. I was deployed, but I didn’t really want to go to Saudi Arabia for 90 days. But I went. But the point is not that I went. It’s that I wasn’t in a combat role. I was in a support role. And that is. That’s the truth. And nobody who’s a Democrat wants to talk about it, but those screaming harpies who were whining and yelling at him like they were having a marital argument were hardly the best example for women going into combat. It was a pathetic show.
SPEAKER 17 :
You’re 100% correct. And by the way, really quick, to go back to your, you know, God uses all sorts of flawed people. Don’t forget that the man that led the children of Israel out of captivity was a murderer before he did that.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s right, Moses. But he was also someone who he would say, Lord, I can barely talk. I don’t have to serve for this. He was kind of humble, too. So they all have these qualities. And I’ve met President Trump so many times. I’ve heard him speak over 35 times in person. I’ve been to the White House dozens of times. I’ve been to Mar-a-Lago. I’ve seen this man in many different situations. And what I can say is he’s always very kind. He’s always nice. He has a ready smile for anyone. If you feel nervous going up to him and saying, can we have a picture? He’ll always put his hand on your shoulder or something, put you at ease, ask you how you are, assure you that he remembers you. How is that possible? And then take a picture with you, even when he’s tired and the Secret Service is trying to pull him away. So that’s a minor thing, but it’s major if you meet a lot of people.
SPEAKER 17 :
No, that’s a major thing, Stacey. To somebody like me, that’s a major thing. And by the way, I’ve known other people like you that know him directly. Many, by the way. I haven’t talked to anybody yet that doesn’t say the same thing you say.
SPEAKER 04 :
He’s so nice. And it’s kind of shocking because he likes firing people on The Apprentice, which was my favorite thing. That was how I got to know Donald Trump. Me and my husband watched him as we put our little jokes to bed way back then. And so, yeah, I think people who don’t like him, that’s fine. I have not liked presidents before. I don’t really want to like them. In fact, it’s an anomaly for me. I never thought I would ever meet a president at all. The fact that God has allowed me to do this is such a glorious honor for me. But it’s also an outstanding honor. example of what god will do he’ll take you know a little woman from out of the midwest actually i’m super tall but little meaning not unknown and allow me to go to the white house allow me to go to rallies and allow me to go on television to talk about issues he’ll if he’ll do that for me he’ll do it with anyone he just picks the person who’s unlikely and he uses them and that’s what he’s doing with donald trump And if you don’t like Trump, how about you just watch Melania’s outfits for the next four years? There you go. You will be pleased.
SPEAKER 17 :
Good job. And by the way, I feel the same way as you. I sit in this chair, and I am about as unqualified to be here as anybody, Stacey. I’m somebody that has worked their whole life, owned businesses, never went to college. I didn’t do journalism or broadcasting or anything along those lines. It’s only by God’s grace I sit here.
SPEAKER 04 :
That’s right. It’s the best way to get somewhere, actually, because then you don’t have to worry about it being your thing.
SPEAKER 17 :
That’s a good point. Well said. All right, I’ll let you go with that, Stacey. And by the way, how do folks listen to you on SiriusXM?
SPEAKER 04 :
If you are a subscriber to SiriusXM on your phone, on the SiriusXM app, and it’s channel 125. And if you don’t have that, I’m on television every day at 5 p.m. on Salem. That’s on your Samsung television, your Pluto app, your Roku app, 5 p.m. East.

SPEAKER 17 :
All right, we are back. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560. Okay, top of the hour. Scott Watley is going to be joining me, but he stepped into the studio here a minute or two early. He was going to be, if it was all outside and as it was supposed to be planned, you were going to be there today calling in. I was going to be there. And you were there.
SPEAKER 03 :
And I was there. You decided to come back a little early for obvious reasons. Yeah, the weather, you know, halfway through the Friday, I decided, okay, I’m going to get out early because I thought it might be – Hectic at the airport. So I catch like a 930 flight. Halfway through the flight, my phone starts blowing up with messages. It’s moved inside. And I’m like, this is probably not going to be good. So then land there. Not get my bag until the next day. Right. So whole big story there, too. But anyway. Yeah, it was great hanging out there a couple of days and just went around and did visit with some people. You know, just see people. But a lot of people on the plane, man, a lot of people in red hats, man, MAGA hats and stuff. And so, I mean, it was really cool. So I would say there was a difference, no pun intended, in the air. I mean, man, I mean, everywhere you went. I mean, it was cool, you know. And so it’s going to be really interesting. And, like, I heard you’re opening the show. Yeah, you’re fine. Today TV was great. I mean, I was glued to it this morning, too, because it was just awesome.
SPEAKER 17 :
It was. I mean, it was different. Again, like I said, like I opened up with, it’s not what you would normally see in an inauguration speech. I mean, normally there’s all sorts of platitudes and, you know, thank you for this and thank you for that. And, yes, we’re going to do this and we’re going to do that. Right. I mean, Trump, again, he’s one of those guys. I think that’s why he won this last election. People just want to be told what’s going to happen next. How do I feed my family? How do we change the things in this country that aren’t going the way they should? And who’s going to do that? And he answered a lot of that even in the inauguration speech itself and, of course, did a lot more. more after that speaking to his own you know but in that that initial crowd and as I said there were a lot of people in that initial room that Scott said coming in this very thing and I should have said this their days are over and for a lot of them their days are over I mean, this administration is gone, whatever their role was, chances of them coming back even on down the road, if something were to happen even four or five years from now, do they have that opportunity again? You know, Scott, in a lot of cases, no, they don’t. And I think a lot of them realize that when you’re in that room today and things are finally ending, your world is now going to take a whole different, you know, it’s going to go a different direction because it’s not the same.
SPEAKER 03 :
And you actually come over to him a little bit more because of that, too. You did. I mean, I would.
SPEAKER 17 :
Well, if you’re smart, you would because otherwise you’re – in a lot of cases, your political career may very well be over and you’re going to have to figure out what are you going to do next. So we’ll talk more about that when we come back. And for a lot of you listening, Scott’s going to hang around with us here past 4 o’clock as well and was planning on having him here anyway. So we were, though, originally, again, like I said, planning on having Scott call in from a lot of the – And some things that had happened that day. But, you know, things happen, and the weather changed, and even Trump talked a little bit about that today in some of his speeches. So, yeah, we’ll talk to Scott as soon as we come back, and then my son Richard will join us at 4.30 as well. But, guys, hang tight. Again, as always, great day here in the United States of America. I am proud to be an American. Not that I’m not every day, but especially today I am proud to be an American. We’ll be back. Hour 2 is next. Rush to Reason, Denver’s Afternoon Rush, KLZ 560.
SPEAKER 1 :
Bye.
SPEAKER 13 :
The Rich Guy.
