On a separate issue, free speech, your Vice President, Vance, said that free speech is under attack in the UK. Do you agree with him? And Prime Minister, we saw the dismissal of a very well-known chat show host in America last night, Mr Kimmel. Is free speech more under attack in Britain or America?

Well, Jimmy Kimmel was fired because he had bad ratings more than anything else. And he said a horrible thing about a great gentleman known as Charlie Kirk. And Jimmy Kimmel is not a talented person. He had very bad ratings and they should have fired him a long time ago. So, you know, you can call that free speech or not. He was fired for lack of talent.

I God love Trump for saying that. Seriously, because we all I heard that question. This was I think this was after we were off. air and i remember you know we heard that heard that question and i thought that’s it’s not even remotely the same they’re not the same thing at all we’re going to talk a lot about that today because i think a lot of people don’t understand what free speech is and by a lot of people i mean the left and i i don’t think that they understand the first amendment and i don’t think that they understand the consequences as it pertains to speech when you’re working for someone and they have like a clause in their contract where they’re like, yeah, you can’t really just say whatever you want to say without there being any kind of consequences to it. That’s not a free speech issue. We’re going to dive into that because look, I’m a free speech purist, but that’s when it’s an argument of free speech, but this is not an argument of free speech. It’s not at all. So Like I said, we’re going to dive into it. We’ll dive into it. But that was POTUS who was speaking. He had a great… visit right yeah visit with the uk he was met there when they arrived and i think this is huge by the prince and princess of wales and then he met the king and the queen over there and they had this big state dinner and then they uh they played the anthem and they i mean it was just really nice all around trump was like super nice in his remarks i watched those he mentioned you know from the uk we got the magna carta and he you know it was a really nice address And it looked like everything was decorated to his tastes. Got to say, a lot of gold over there. I was trying to get over the length of that table. My gosh, it was like my family at Christmas or Thanksgiving. It was a long table. But it was incredibly significant in that they had never… So the fly pass that they did, I think I mentioned this yesterday. Well, it was expected and it was correct that… They had U.S. and U.K. jets that flew together. The reception that he got was unlike anything other than any other leader has gotten. I don’t mean just like any other leader. American leader. So that’s hugely important because one of the big things that he met about with Keir Starmer today was how the UK needs to stop buying Russian oil and gas because you’re funding the thing that you’re criticizing. And he was talking about oil prices here. If these oil prices go down, which they’re going to, etc. So they’re making energy deals. I thought that was great. That’s exactly what I wanted to happen over there. Exactly the conversation that I wanted to happen. So that is… you know, a silver streak in this abysmal fecal storm that we’ve had for the last two weeks. So let’s hit Jimmy Kimmel here. Jimmy Kimmel, if you… I don’t… I’ve not watched… I have not watched a late night show in… Golly. I… I actually don’t know. Cain, when’s the last time you watched a late night show?

It wasn’t this year. It was… I don’t even think it was last year.

I’m trying to think who… Was hosting that we watched, if I remember.

Of the three, I think Jimmy Fallon was my favorite. And I think the last full show I’ve seen was a Jimmy Fallon show. But I’m thinking two years ago.
SPEAKER 33 :
Yeah, I think… Yeah. my point being is that it’s a dying genre. And I think that that’s why a lot of, and I bring that up, not, you know, I bring it up because I think that’s why a lot of people don’t know the stuff that Jimmy Kimmel says. Cause nobody watches it. Nobody watches it. That’s one of the reasons why Jim, uh, Oh, the other Jimmy, geez, they all have the same name. They can’t even get people with different names. That’s why Jimmy Fallon always did these like short digital bits. So anyway, I wrote about this. It’s in the, it’s in headlines. There’s a couple of pieces up. The situation with Kimmel. So after he said what he said, and I don’t know if you guys are familiar with what he said. We had played it and he went out. Well, we played it when it happened. I he went out and he acute. Well, he said that the killer for the Kirk. The Kirk assassination, he said that the killer. Was MAGA. It was some right wing MAGA kid is what he said. I mean, he’s 22 years old, not a kid, but whatever. So that he was some right wing MAGA kid and that basically blaming the right for the death of Kirk. OK, so that’s what he was going with. And he said, I mean, this is these are his words. It’s nobody else’s words. They’re his words. And he he said other things as well. I mean, look, I will say this. He had also said, blah, blah, blah, that it was awful, et cetera, in a separate soundbite. However, he also said went out and said, yes, this was a right wing. It was a right wing MAGA guy that did it. And that was the line that was crossed because he had been he said some pretty horrible things before. And everyone’s like, golly, that’s just awful. But going out there now, look, this is the left that did this. So don’t sit here and tell me, well, the right needs to not be like the left. I don’t think you guys realize that we haven’t yet suspended the rules of the old regime yet. Are you paying less taxes? Oh, you’re not. OK, then. Do you have the Epstein files? Oh, you don’t? Okay, then. So we’re not exactly operating under a full regime change yet because you have to weed out all the little bastards at all these little agencies. So that’s where we are. So these are their rules. They wanted to follow these rules. In fact, they wanted you to follow these rules so much. They don’t want to follow these rules for themselves. So they said that after what he had said, Nexstar, which is a communications company and owns a lot of these networks, they said they are not going to air his program. They’re not going to air his program. And then after Nexstar, Sinclair. Here’s Nexstar’s statement that Juan is showing you. If you’re watching us do the radio show, Channel 347, DirecTV, or the chat at Rumble, or on X, or Facebook… You can see it there. That’s the first. So this was the first statement that came out. And they said that we are not going to air in light of his comments, etc. Now, they did not say notice what you did not see in that statement. You did not see the FCC told us the Trump administration told us. Brendan Carr told us. You didn’t see any of that. And so. After Next Star, Sinclair released a statement. Here I have it now, which is very similar, saying the same thing, you know, in light of his comments, et cetera, et cetera, you know, blah, blah, blah. And then ABC sees this and ABC goes, oh, my gosh, we can’t we can’t have this. So they pulled him. Now, he’s not fired. He’s suspended. What is it indefinitely? I think he is suspended indefinitely. And this was after, again, Kimmel said that the MAGA gang was trying to score points and they took out their own guy. That’s literally what he was saying. He said that they were, quote, trying to characterize the kid who killed Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them. And he went off on it for about five, ten minutes. Now, if he would have just, you know, been his usual despicable self, that would be one thing, but… ABC, Nexstar, and Sinclair, who the last I checked are not government agencies, they decided that it was too much for them and they didn’t want to have, they didn’t want to be associated with it. They didn’t want to be associated. So this was a private business decision that I see it. That’s how I look at it. It was a private business decision. Now, I am trying to wrap my mind around the people who are insisting that this is somehow a First Amendment censorship issue. Keep in mind that these people, and my friend made this point, they’re more upset over Jimmy Kimmel getting suspended than they are Charlie Kirk getting shot in the neck. Clearly, with the left, they don’t understand employment agreements. The entire reaction that they’re having right now rests on the assumption that the FCC and the administration behaved the same that Democrats did with tech companies when they came down and threatened and pushed and threatened and bullied. There are receipts. So please, dear heavens, don’t be the drive by that denies it. Because there are receipts out there. And by receipts, I mean literal emails where FCC commissioners, FCC department, FCC staffers are emailing with various members of Congress and extorting them to put pressure on platforms like the Apple Store with Parler or Twitter with Facebook. Conservative accounts that are simply questioning the COVID narrative or questioning the efficacy of the latest injection. They wanted Facebook to put pressure on political associations that have Facebook pages and different individual accounts that they said spread COVID. What’s the magic word? Misinformation. They assume that the FCC behaved as Democrats did with the IRS and Tea Party’s. going after Tea Party groups, preventing them from assembling lawfully so that they could try to go and get them with a violation of federal elections campaign financing laws after. They assume their entire reaction assumes that that that these that the current administration is doing exactly what the Biden administration did in suing reporters and persecuting reporters and wiretapping reporters or laundering disinformation from actual Kremlin spies through reporters and then getting a FISA warrant without any substance or legal bearing at all whatsoever to go and spy on people because of their politics. So the left’s entire reaction. assumes that Democrats are, that this administration is doing exactly what Democrats did. Absent, unlike those examples, there is no evidence of any of that here. Absent any evidence of that, I assume that ABC, Nexstar, and Sinclair, who are all their own companies and not government agencies, once again, just to clarify this, that they made the decision to do this themselves. Now the left is apoplectic. They are so upset over this. So upset. And Some are saying that this is the end of free speech in America. I thought the end of free speech was when they were shutting down thousands of voices over the Hunter Biden laptop. I thought the end of free speech was when they were firing people for asking questions about the jab. I thought the end of free speech was refusing medical service to people who were voicing dissent with having to get the injection before they received said medical services. I mean, I could sit here and go on and on and on. So. I guess what I’m saying is that I just don’t take very seriously these cries of protestation. We’re going to talk about this more and get into the weeds with it a little bit. Also, Turning Point USA announced that Erica Kirk is now the new CEO and chair of the board after being unanimously elected. They said in their statement and prior discussions, this is what Charlie had expressed as to what he wanted in the event of his death. He had to turn down one road to get to the FBI facility off of another road and then just ran his car full speed at the only gate that’s on the road. And you think it may have been a targeted attack? Golly. Wow, so great. Also, the sun is waking up. I hope it burns us to death. The sun is waking up. Oh, man, if it’s not SMOD, then I want a solar storm to come and just, like, incinerate us all. Not to knuckle under, not to do what we’re told, but to stand up and to say, listen, if you want to pull these licenses, then we’re going to go to court and we’ll be in the court of public opinion. But you don’t get to go on a podcast and set policy for American media, for an American media institution that’s been around a lot longer than me, you or Donald Trump. This is a red line that has been crossed for our industry, for the First Amendment, for the right of people to speak. There was nothing hateful about what was said. And even hateful speech is protected. This is not acceptable. If you are going to run a media organization that’s called a news organization, you have to stand up to government bullying anywhere in the world and certainly in the United States.

Well, how do they I’m just trying to figure out. And that’s Van Jones. What he’s talking about with with like government bullying, because I didn’t I mean, did you guys see any kind of government bullying? I didn’t see any government bullying. I didn’t see anything from the FCC. I didn’t see anything like that. I didn’t see Brendan Carr trying to put pressure on Joe Biden or Trump. I didn’t I didn’t or Trump trying to put pressure on ABC. He would say, oh, I hear Jimmy Kimmel’s next or something like that. But let’s be honest about it. Do you guys know what Jimmy Kimmel’s ratings were? OK, so. His ratings, his ratings were actually worse than Colbert’s. Yeah. Yeah. Deadline Hollywood had talked about his tough ratings like some weeks ago. There are several that – and he’s apparently livid over all of this. But at the same time, he had a major drop in viewers. And I’m looking at a couple of different – these are like actual industry reports on this that come from ratings and viewership, et cetera. So according to Nielsen – Colbert was beating Kimmel. That’s, wow. He was, I mean, actually Colbert was beating, yeah, Colbert was beating Kimmel. That’s insane because Colbert’s ratings were really bad. They were really bad. And this was even, let’s see, even before Colbert left, he was actually dominating Kimmel. Okay, so this also seems kind of like it’s sort of like how Colbert was very upset and how people, you know, Colbert was let go because he ultimately was not bringing in the eyeballs to sustain their ad rates. I mean, I got to tell you, it kind of seems like Jimmy Kimmel’s the same here. Am I wrong, Kane? No, Dana, you’re not wrong. You’re totally right, Dana. You’re totally correct. It just seems like That’s kind of exactly what happened. That’s what Colbert did. Colbert wasn’t getting the eyeballs in. I’m looking at this. There’s a couple of things. Jimmy Kimmel, his show slipped. So Colbert actually almost had a million more viewers. This tracks into the most recent key 18 to 49 demographic with Nielsen data in quarter two. This is why Colbert was still on air. I mean, he was dominating. He was beating Kimmel. And he and Fallon would kind of go back and forth. So Jimmy Kimmel’s ratings were lower than that of Stephen Colbert, who already had bad ratings. I think that Disney and ABC were looking to offload him. And that they’re just using this as an excuse, honestly. I mean, because that is, you know, that is bad. His ratings. What I’m going to do is I’m going to put this piece here. and your prep email for you subscribers so that you can, I mean, it gets into the numbers of it. You’re probably gonna find it boring, but it’s still rather enlightening considering, you know, I mean, it’s very enlightening. So that he can get as mad as he wants to, but it doesn’t seem like the problem is Trump and the FCC or this administration. All Trump did was say great news for America. The ratings challenge to Jimmy Kimmel show is canceled. Congrats for ABC, blah, blah, blah. Kimmel has zero talent, et cetera, et cetera. That doesn’t mean that he got involved and put pressure on it. That just means he’s gloating about it after he’s gloating about the business decision after. Look, if there was evidence that you had this administration in any way, even remotely getting near to what the Biden administration did, that’s one thing. But we there’s that there is no evidence to that. And frankly, I don’t want to hear people like Van Jones and all of these other folks say this is a red line that’s been crossed for our industry. Did you guys say that with Gina Carano? Did you guys say that with Roseanne? Did you guys say that with Matthew Marsden? I mean, do you want to run down the list of all of the celebrities that have been blacklisted because of their their political beliefs? I mean, just look at what they did to Sidney Sweeney over a denim ad. Do you honestly believe that these people give a rat’s backside about it? You know, the line’s been crossed. The line was already crossed by you. You crossed it. Eric Swalwell. Oh, wait, here’s we played Chuck Schumer throwing a fit, didn’t we? We played that already. Correct. Is that what we played? No. Audio somebody 14. This is him having a tantrum. Go ahead. And he’s so livid over this. Schumer, your reaction to this.

It is outrageous. It’s a page right out of Xi’s playbook. This is just despicable, disgusting, and against democratic values. And it doesn’t matter whether you agree with Kimmel or not, he has the right to free speech. And so it is just outrageous. It is indicative of autocracy. And I am just outraged by it. Again, this is what dictators do. This is what she would do. This is what Putin would do. We are not that country.

So, like, what did he do? Does he think that ABC and Nexstar and Sinclair are government agencies? Does he think that that’s part of the Trump administration? You guys know ABC is so conservative, right? Oh, my gosh. So conservative. Come on, people. Come on. This is so ridiculous. It’s not, like I said, that’s why I don’t view it as a free speech issue. I don’t view it as that because it’s not. Now, again, show me where the FCC put pressure. But this is the line that the media, this is all they want to push. Audio Sunbite 15, Tater, I mean, Brian Stelter. He says this as well. He pushes this narrative. They are not learning. They’re not learning. Listen to this.

Even though we’re talking about comedy, this is so serious, Erin. America is a less free place if late night comedians cannot do and say what they want. Of course, they can be tuned out. People can change the channel. That’s how we vote. That’s how we have our say in America. But this really does have a chilling effect across the American media. And And it’s not just me saying it. We’ve heard from the group FIRE in the past few minutes, the free speech group FIRE, saying, quote, the government pressured ABC and ABC caved. Quote, we cannot be a country where late night talk show hosts serve at the pleasure of the president. But until institutions grow a backbone and learn to resist government pressure, that is the country we are. And just one more note, Erin. But wait a minute. Wait.

So he’s like insisting that there was government pressure. But where was the government pressure? I’m curious as to whether or not they all had the same sentiment. This is flashback audio, which cut is this because there’s a million. This is when Kimmel was was laughing about Tucker Carlson being fired. This was pretty crazy. And they’re hoping that you’re stupid enough to think that these are the same things. But they’re not, though. They’re not the same thing. The guy sucked in his time slot. He was not performing well for his employer. I think that because his ratings were worse than that of Colbert’s, I think that Disney and ABC were trying to offload him. I think they were looking for a way out. There was a lot of rumors about it for the last couple of years. This even predates Trump’s second election, right? He’s been struggling for a long time. Keep in mind that Jimmy Kimmel was never the funny one. When he got started in comedy, he was always the second banana. It’s like an actual he was like the Ed McMahon to Johnny Carson, except Ed McMahon was funny and had some talent. Jimmy Kimmel’s just an oaf who put women on trampolines and yucked it up over everything Adam Carolla said. He’d never nobody like you. If if Jimmy Kimmel wasn’t on the man show, you had no idea. And nobody watches clearly, as evidenced by the ratings, nobody watches his show now. But the only reason that all of these people on the left are saying these things is because they know you value free speech. They themselves don’t. And they think that they get a pass. Because remember, when you can call everything a Nazi, when you can call everything fascist, then you can justify using whatever power you have as a way to disadvantage your opponent. See, this is all linked into their rhetoric. And now you have the media amping up the rhetoric again. They’re acting like the First Amendment is under attack. They are acting like this is an assault on free speech. Oh, my gosh. It’s a constitutional crisis, except for the fact that it was literally three businesses. that chose to make the decision independent of the government. And unlike, once again, the Biden administration and the tech companies and the IRS and the Tea Party and the COVID purposeful disinformation campaign that they were trying to launch and say that people asking questions were traitors, despite all of the evidence and emails and paperwork that prove that, there is nothing that in any way, even remotely, proves their argument that this was from the Trump administration. If it was, I’d be one of the first people to call it out. But it’s not. Well, they are Marxists, though. Hold up. They don’t believe that businesses should be able to be free and make their own decisions. And that was POTUS, who was there at Windsor Castle last night for their big state banquet, which they really rolled out the red carpet for POTUS as a way to underscore the close relationship between our countries. And after playing Jenga with time, I think we’re going to have FCC commission, correct? Yeah, that’s happening now. OK, so he just became he’s so he’s going to be on at the bottom of this hour. We’re going to talk to him about some of the Kimmel stuff. But I and by the way, the chats at Rumble and you can also watch us do radio on Channel 347, DirecTV, as well as X. I mean, we’re up at X and Facebook, too. So I love that he said that. And I love that he brought this up here because it also highlighted the problem that the UK is having with free speech because they arrest people if you hurt their feels. That’s actually something that’s happening. Remember the video? I thought one of the most egregious ones. Well, they arrested a comedian for making a joke on X. That actually happened just a couple of weeks ago. But then remember the little girl who was like, how old was she? She was not even 13. She was not a teenager yet. But and she apparently was on the spectrum, which only matters in that her mother said that she just says what she thinks that’s her with no filter. And. she wasn’t being mean to the female police officer that showed up because she had said apparently out somewhere that that officer looked like a lesbian because she had real short hair. Well, her grandmother apparently is a lesbian and has very short hair. And that’s all she was doing was saying that lady looks like my grandma basically. And so they were going to come and arrest this kid. I’m not kidding. You guys saw the video. We played it. My whole point is that the UK has a major problem with speech. And so I love that he brought that up to show that’s the eventual path of, of, and speech suppression. And I just find it… The audacity of the left to bitch and moan about Jimmy Kimmel getting himself fired because he’s bad at his job and calling that a free speech… but not literally a guy who got shot and killed for his free speech. That’s not Armageddon. That is why we are not the same. You cannot unify with people who think that losing your life for free speech is completely inconsequential, but losing your job because you’re bad at it and it’s your employer’s right is apparently a free speech Rubicon that mustn’t be crossed. These people are flipping insane. Think about that for a minute. Ben Stiller even tweeted about it and said, like, this is bad. Did he say that ever before? Did he say that with Tucker Carlson? Did he say it with Gina Carano? Did he say it with Matthew Marsden? Did he say it with Sidney Sweeney? I mean, we could do this all day. Did he say it with Charlie Kirk? No. Because it doesn’t matter to them. You weren’t one of them. It only counts if you were one of them. They think that Jimmy Kimmel losing his job is worse than someone dying over their speech. These people don’t care about free speech. They would be up in arms over Charlie Kirk losing his life for his. But think about that. They value this progressive chonks television show more than they do someone’s life. If it saves just one life, we need common sense Democrat rhetoric control. I mean, it’s the same formula. It’s the exact same formula. It’s just, it’s stunning. I want to caution conservatives, too. I’ve seen some people try to do this, but not, you know, everybody, thankfully. But I’ve seen, for instance, some say, well, you know, he used a Helldivers code. So he used a game. I mean, gaming. Let’s know. We’re not going to do the stupid brain rot argument that progressives use. I play Helldivers. I’m not very good right now because I just started. But, you know, it’s an enjoyable game. You’re not going to go off and be a psycho. Just like all psychos, all murderers drink water. Does that mean if you drink water, you’re going to be a murderer? I mean, let’s stop with this. That’s the logic that gun controllers use. Oh, well, you know, it’s the gun. That’s that’s the one that does the evil. No, I think that some people are just evil and they do certain activities that other people do. And that doesn’t mean the activity is evil as it relates to the FCC. So we got Brendan Carr is going to be joining us. And you realize, too, that. I don’t think that the left understands what the FCC does now. I personally don’t think we need one, but that’s me. No offense, but I mean, I would love it a lot more if Brennan Carr went out and said, I want to abolish my job. I told you guys I was very limited government. However. you know, he never called for any of this. He never did. But I think that some people don’t realize, particularly the left, which is weird to me because they’re the ones that really push for all these laws, right? They were the ones who pushed for campaign finance reform. They are the ones who, well, yes, I know, McCain, Feingold, but they were the ones who pushed for all of that. They were the ones who pushed for, they’ve been wanting to use Communications Decency Act as a way to further regulate tech because they’re worried about the effect that free speech with tech has in the in their ability to control the narrative but the FCC they I mean they have a role where there is they are allowed regulatory authority that’s one of the reasons why I want them I don’t really like the agency but it is what it is right I can’t really say that I got a free pass with them so But they grant licenses to people. So, for instance, we can say whatever we want on Channel 347 and we can say whatever we want on stream. But we’re in hundreds of we’re on hundreds of different stations around the country. That’s considered public airwaves. So that’s considered regulated by the FCC. So they have to grant licenses to all of these stations, right? And they have that regulatory authority and they have the litmus test. You know, you have to serve public convenience and interest and necessity. You also have to meet other specific requirements for it. But I mean, you know, make up a word. Statutorily, they do have the regulatory authority for this. And I think that’s something that the left apparently is not… I don’t think that they realize this, apparently, but they have that. So, for instance, if I said what Jimmy Kimmel said and my employers who air the show on. these stations around the country, if they were to have a, they would be well within their right to have an issue with it, and if they decided to drop me, that’s not the government censoring you, that’s these individual stations not wanting to associate with you. Now, if the FCC pressured them and said, well, we’re going to pull your licenses if, well, then that would be censorship, but there’s no evidence at all whatsoever that that happened here. There is evidence that it happened tons with the Biden administration, but these sudden free speech purists were MIA over that, which makes me call their current concern into question. Now, That’s, I mean, it is what it is. Just tells you everything, what they value, does it not? It tells you everything. When they are more upset over that than anything else. When I was president, in the aftermath of tragedies, When Dylan Roof went into a black church and, based on his own words, shot a group of folks who were engaged in Bible study and who had invited him in, And according to him, it was for racist reasons. As president of the United States, my response was not, who may have influenced this troubled young man to engage in that kind of violence and now let me go after my political opponents and use that?

You called us teabaggers. You guys know what that is, right? I once had to explain it to Bill Maher. And I think he got mad. That’s why he made up that goofy story about me and pushed it to the Daily Mail.

Yeah. He called us teabaggers. He said we cling to our guns and our Bibles. He called us all racists and bigots. Dylann Roof, by the way, that church in the Carolinas, Dylann Roof was technically a prohibited possessor. But James Comey actually had to come out with the FBI and admit that it was the FBI’s own paperwork error. Well, actually. law enforcement’s paperwork error because of the confusing way the system was set up in that state. If you’re simply charged with a felony, you’re considered a prohibited possessor until that time you are adjudicated innocent or guilty. And so technically at that point, you should not have been allowed to purchase a firearm. However, there was an error because apparently there’s a town in the county with the same name and someone messed it up. And the FBI actually had to come out and say that it was a paperwork error. Yeah, you know, that system that’s supposed to work 1,000% of the time. There’s always room for error whenever humans are involved. He was one of the most combative presidents that we had. He was the guy who said, if they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun, verbatim. He’s responsible for how far the current tenor has ascended. I love these stories from this website called Study Finds because they always say, fact-checked, verified. What’s fact-checked and verified? They go, fatty foods can scramble your memory just days later, but what they don’t tell you is that there’s a difference between good fats and bad fats. There’s unhealthy fats and there’s healthy fats, and the article does not actually differentiate between this, and so it’s not fact-checked and not verified. I’m just tired of these stupid clickbait websites. Did you guys hear about this? I think there’s more drama in this than there was necessary. So a plane, it did not nearly crash. This Daily Star headline is absolute BS. Stupid press hyperbole. Because they said that, oh gosh, Air Force One almost literally crashed into another plane, a Spirit Airlines plane. That’s not what happened. The air traffic control, and this is before POTUS left for the UK, air traffic control noticed that there was another plane eight miles away that, if it remained on current course, would cross the trajectory of Air Force One. So while that plane was still literally eight miles away, air traffic control had them alter their course. There was no almost crash. I think like Daily Star, you are literally the turd in the punch bowl of like general like intelligent discourse. Why would you why would you inflame like that? It actually was over eight miles away. And other people who work in air traffic control and who are pilots are like that’s that happens actually quite frequently. That’s not that’s not anything to be overdramatic about. Probably isn’t the first time that this has happened with Air Force One because there have been instances where they can change trajectory because of weather, etc., And air traffic control has to then, for any plane that might run across that flight path, they have to alter. So it’s not… I don’t understand. The drama is ridiculous. But anything for a click, right? Gosh, I hate this society. We’re smod, please. Cracker Barrel CEO insists the restaurant chain is back on track after their $700 million rebrand failure. I’m sorry. Wait. $700 million? I know. So I said $700 million. So… They paid $700 million to take the old fogey off the logo and then make everything millennial gray. Did Meghan Markle advise them? Because that’s the only kind of like seppuku of a brand that I could see like that would give advice just like that. Speaking of seppuku, Japan sets a record of nearly 100,000 people aged over 100. Their population is aging to where there are more older people than younger people. They also have the world’s longest life expectancy. And it’s the fastest aging society. Residents have a low birth rate, but they have a healthier diet. And a lot of some of the oldest people in the world are Japanese. It’s very interesting. But they said that. They have changed more than any other G7 country remarkably since the 60s in terms of the age of their population, their birth rate, etc. And they said that they have, I mean, heart disease, cancers, I mean, different types of cancers. They have such a higher life expectancy because they have fewer deaths from those. So it’s very interesting. But aging population as well. Washington state has the highest gas prices in the country, surpassing even that of California. Washington State is first in something. They’re holding the highest gas price in the country, $4.66. Jeez.

Welcome back to the program. Dana Lash with you. We are at the bottom of this second hour. I wanted to I got some audio that I want to play really quick before we bring on the FCC commissioner. In fact, actually, I’ll probably just bring him on now. Everybody knows FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr. He was kind of like the lone voice of reason during the Biden administration. He was there when the Biden administration was weaponizing government agencies and putting pressure on tech companies and doing all of this. Now, Carr’s being accused, I mean, quite literally, of getting Jimmy Kimmel fired, like he personally did it. And I wanted to play this audio. Can we just pull this? What network is this from? ABC. Yeah, ABC. I wanted to play this for Carr and have him respond to this. This was just a little bit ago. Listen.
SPEAKER 32 :
A spokesperson for the network saying, Jimmy Kimmel Live will be preempted indefinitely. President Trump now calling Carr’s decision to cancel Kimmel, quote, great news for America, turning his attention to late night host Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers on NBC. The president writing, that leaves Jimmy and Seth, adding, do it NBC. An immediate response from leading Democrats, from Senator Chuck Schumer to California Governor Gavin Newsom.
SPEAKER 33 :
So they were saying that Carr himself did it. The chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, Brendan Carr, now joins us via video. Mr. Chairman, it’s good to see you. I just wanted to get your response to this. So apparently you called up ABC and Nexstar in Sinclair and you personally put pressure on them to get Jimmy Kimmel fired. Is that true?
SPEAKER 09 :
No, not at all. But it does, I guess, tell a better story for partisans on the left. I think it’s ironic. I mean, some of these very same people are engaged, and I think what can only be explained is projection. These are the same officials that literally were doing exactly that. What’s happening here is we’re undergoing a very fundamental shift in the dynamics in the media ecosystem. Most people don’t get this, right? But you’ve got National programmers, that’s Disney, ABC, that’s Comcast, NBC, they don’t have FCC licenses, and they therefore don’t have a federal obligation to operate in the public interest. But they produce most of the primetime TV shows that you do see on broadcast TV, whether it’s 60 Minutes or NFL Football or late-night shows. Now, local broadcast TV stations, like your local Channel 7, wherever you are, They are licensed by the FCC, and they’ve been given a unique opportunity to use public spectrum, this public resource. And because of that, they have a public interest obligation. So the way this is supposed to work is Disney and Comcast can come up with whatever programming they want, and individual TV stations are supposed to decide, should we run this or should we not? Now, that’s what Congress intended. But the last 10, 15, 20 years, that hasn’t happened because Comcast and Disney and the programmers amassed so much power that they could effectively force local TV stations in Utah, in Pennsylvania, to run this progressive foie gras coming out of New York and Hollywood. And what we saw yesterday was really a pivot point because it was the local TV stations that said, I’ve got to look out for the needs of my local community. I don’t want to run this Kimmel stuff, and we’re going to preempt it. And that’s a really important moment of local TV stations standing up for their viewers and pushing back against Comcast and Disney. So it’s a market correction that’s really necessary. But people don’t want to grapple with that, right? They want to try to point fingers or try to find boogeymen. But that’s really what’s going on here.
SPEAKER 33 :
Yeah, I think you bring up an interesting point. We’re talking to the chairman of the FCC, Brendan Carr, if you’re just joining us, because Sinclair, I think a lot of people forget Sinclair. I wouldn’t say they’re hardcore conservative, but they’re definitely not left leaning. So it didn’t surprise me to see Sinclair review the content and say, well, we don’t really like a guy going on late night television telling everyone. making up false, maliciously false and already at that point, disproven claims about the nature of the killer. That seems, you know, kind of completely ridiculous and unnecessary. And they responded to that. So that sounds like a Kimmel problem, not a Brendan Carr problem.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, I think that’s exactly right. I mean, to some extent, I do think this goes back to to President Trump, because when President Trump won the election, he sort of smashed the facade that we just have to accept what New York and Hollywood say is appropriate, is funny. It’s effectively an emperor has no clothes type of a moment, and what it comes down to now is ratings. How popular is Kimmel in these local markets? I’ve seen these bar charts recently, and it’s just like an absolute nosedive in terms of ratings. We know from Colbert that paramount indicated that he’s losing them was losing 50 million dollars a year so why were they running it at these local stations and i think it’s because they felt like they couldn’t exercise their right to respond to the needs of their local community and again Late night shows have undergone a pretty serious transformation over the last 10 years or so. It used to be that you would go for laugh lines, and now they’re going for applause lines. They’ve gone for these court gestures that make fun of everybody. Like, go for it. Make fun of Republicans and Democrats. It’s, you know, that’s part of what makes for democracy. But instead of doing that, they became court clerics enforcing a very narrow ideology, and the ratings are telling them it’s not working. So you can blame other people, but ultimately it’s, you know, it’s the scoreboard.
SPEAKER 33 :
I wanted to ask you, too, apparently now you have Democrat leadership that are they’re demanding that you’re stepping that you should step down. Well, what are your thoughts? Because, I mean, if we’re going to have a question of censor, a discussion of censorship, that seems pretty sensory. If you have Democrat leaders that are now they’re looking at the FCC. I mean, I got to say, I would thought their attention would go to the FCC back when they were pressuring tech companies to deplatform conservatives for questioning the laptop or the efficacy of an injection. But now they apparently want you to step down because of what private companies have done.
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, my team tells me I need to stop responding with so many memes, but I can’t help but get out of my head, you know, the I’m not going anywhere line. You know, we’ve got an important job to do here. And what I’ve said from day one is we are reinvigorating the public interest standard. And if you want to have a podcast, if you want to have a cable show, If you don’t want that public interest obligation, have at it, right? Total free market. You can say whatever disgusting thing you want. But if you’re going to be on broadcast TV, that’s simply different. You have to comply with the public interest obligations. And so we’re doing that. But again, we’re running other agendas as well. We have a Build America agenda here. We’re trying to get infrastructure going again. I mean, people can famously remember when Biden and Harris were in charge of this $42 billion internet infrastructure program. They couldn’t get a single shovel’s worth of dirt turned. We’re turning that program around, frankly, thanks to Secretary Lutnick and the work that he’s doing over there. So we’re doing a lot. But yeah, we’re reinvigorating the public interest.
SPEAKER 33 :
I just want to read you this. You might not have seen it. It’s from Axios because it just came out just a little bit ago. But they said it’s signed by… The House Minority Whip, Catherine Clark, you have the Democrat caucus chair, Pete Aguilar, Ted Lieu, a couple of Colorado Democrats, one out of Washington. And they said that, quote, Brendan Carr, the so-called chairman of the Federal Communications Commission, is engaged in the corrupt abuse of power. He’s disgraced the office he holds by bullying ABC, the employer of Jimmy Kimmel, and forcing the company to bend the knee to the Trump administration. FCC chair Brendan Carr should resign immediately. My question is, first off, what would you tell them? Secondly, I know that you’re not going anywhere, but this seems I mean, they’re really they’re really coming for you now.
SPEAKER 09 :
Well, look, I don’t know if so-called FCC chair, that sounds kind of like insurrection to me, like, you know, President Trump won. President Trump designated me as chair. I’m the chairman. I mean, you can call whatever names you want. I really don’t care. But, you know, we’re here and we’re going to carry out the agenda that we think serves the best interests of the American people. And frankly, we have been long overdue. For a course correction, the trust in national media, again, these legacy national media broadcasters, is at an absolute all-time low. But again, it’s just a piece of a broader story. I mean, look at Washington Post with what Jeff Bezos has been trying to do over there in terms of reorienting the direction of that story. paper. It’s across the entire media ecosystem that you’re seeing change. So I think it’s a good direction. But there’s more to come, right? This is not the end of the dynamics and the fallout from the changes we’re seeing.
SPEAKER 33 :
And clearly there is a difference too between somebody making maybe a distasteful joke or saying something or making a joke about that someone doesn’t agree with and maybe going out on air and claiming that this particular killer is, you know, one of you MAGA and making these false statements. I mean, you know, I realize that that might come down to opinion for some as well, but there seems to be a clear difference. And companies have the right to react to that. That’s not a First Amendment issue. Your thoughts?
SPEAKER 09 :
Yeah, exactly. Exactly right. I mean, again, there’s many ways to slice this. You can, again, look at the national programmers, look at the local TV stations, including Nextar, which is one of the first to push back on it, and their own journalists that they have. But this is a decision by Nextar that owns local TV stations to tell Comcast, you know, we don’t want to, or in this case, Disney, we don’t want to run that type of programming. So this is about, you know, Nexstar and Sinclair versus Disney. And that’s, you know, ultimately a business decision. And these are market forces. Again, we have rules on our books at the FCC that says local stations have to have the right. Right.
SPEAKER 33 :
You have the regulatory authority to do that. And so you’ve never called ABC. I don’t even think you can legally. You never called ABC. You never called Sinclair. You never called Nexstar. You never said you’ve got to get rid of Jimmy Kimmel. or the FCC is going to come down on you and look at your licenses, Sinclair, or look at your licenses next start. That never happened.
SPEAKER 09 :
We never told anybody that they had to get rid of Kimmel. Frankly, I was surprised to see that Disney took that step. I was pleased when I saw Nextar do it, when Sinclair did it. When I saw the news of Kimmel getting suspended by Disney, at first I thought maybe people were just misreporting on the Nextar piece of it. And so we’ll see where it goes from here.
SPEAKER 33 :
Yeah, we’ll see where it goes from here shortly. And I feel like this argument is going to rage more. One last quick thing, because you were there at the FCC and you saw – the tech companies. You saw the suppression with the laptop. Where was their concern for free speech then? Did you ever have any of these Democrats reach out to you and ask what was going on and why was the Biden administration suppressing conservatives?
SPEAKER 09 :
No, it’s quite the opposite. I mean, look, you have Democrats in Congress, probably including some of their outrage right now. They wrote to cable companies like Comcast and Charter and said, effectively, why are you not dropping Fox News and OAN and Newsmax? You had an FCC under Biden’s leadership that took a local Fox broadcast, not Fox News, Fox broadcast channel and hung them out there with their license renewal program. for over 18 months, all the way through the election, nobody said a peep. The FCC operates by case law, by common law, by precedent, and we’re just going to continue to apply the precedent that’s been set over the last couple of years.

Worst dad ever, guys. A Florida man, of course he’s got a ponytail. No, like a top knot, not a ponytail. Like a man can wear a ponytail, but a top knot, no. He’s accused of hurling his kids over the fence after he wrecked his car. Yes. Oh, wow. Dad of the year here. So according to this is in Lee County, Florida, a man was arrested on child neglect charges after being accused of crashing his car with his three kids inside. And then he tried to hide them by literally, literally physically throwing them over a fence. He literally threw them over a six foot tall fence to hide. And then he tried jumping the fence himself. And a neighbor reported that the kids were crying again. Topknot. Does it surprise you? Mr. Topknot would do this. No. Not at all. So he was arrested on three charges of child neglect and cruelty. They have not disclosed his relationship to the kids. So, I mean, are they his? What are you doing? Like, are they his kids? Like, what’s happening? I don’t know. So that’s those poor children. They were given to taken into custody of family. So thank heavens. We talked about the sea turtle guy, but I do want to talk about this Jeep driver. Okay, so the Jeep drivers, they have a whole culture. I had a Jeep, so I know this. And I didn’t realize until, because people bizarrely wave at you. And you’re like, why are you waving? I just immediately am suspicious when people are kind. Isn’t that horrible? And I’m like, why are you waving? And then they leave ducks on your Jeeps. What do they call it, Cain? You get Like they give you the duck on the Jeep. They duck you or something. Yeah. People buy these bags of these things anyway. So the reason I say all this is because they seem like nice, friendly people, right? Like they got their Jeep wave. That’s a whole culture. Well, one Jeep driver chased down and shot his childhood friend after he saw him on a motorcycle, and then he texted him, when’s a good time to come over? Oh, this dude has crazy eyes. Oh, completely. Look. Look at his eyes. Those are crazy eyes. Just like a chick can, so can dudes. Florida man, he saw his childhood friend test driving a motorcycle and decided to chase after him, fired a gun at the guy, tried to run him off the road with his Jeep. Oh, he had a Jeep Cherokee, so it’s technically not like the Wrangler sort. He then texted the victim after and said, when’s a good time to come over? 23-year-old Isaiah McDonald charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a weapon into an occupied vehicle, discharging a firearm from a vehicle and drug possession after they found heroin and all kinds of stuff inside his Jeep following the incident. It wound up being the victim’s mother who tracked him down after the event happened. She decided to go look for the vehicle at where she knows he lives. Uh, and then she, uh, called the cops. So Lake County Sheriff said they responded to the call. Uh, and they noticed, he noticed that the guy was, his friend was staying on his tail and being very aggressive. What kind of psycho does that? What in the world? So yeah, this guy’s going to J he looks crazy though. I mean, when you see his crazy eyes, you’re like, Oh, it’s always in the eyes. Yeah. It completely is always in the eyes. Uh, uh, Absolutely. I have to, can I touch on, by the way, the Florida, very Florida discussion we had with Lieutenant Governor Jake Collins yesterday, because we put a clip out where we asked, does every person in Florida have a machete? You guys, I literally like laughed. I actually did laugh. It wasn’t, I didn’t lie about LOLing. Oh my gosh. Your comments were hysterical. Someone’s like a three machetes. And then I think I have a couple more that I lost somewhere on my property. That’s what Jeff says. He goes, when you drive into Florida as a newcomer, they give you a machete at the agricultural products inspection inspection station on I-75 and I-95. Someone said, I have two machetes by the bed. I use them to hide the guns between them. That’s hysterical. Someone said, have you seen the palmetto bugs? Everybody was like, I’ve got one or two machetes. I’m a woman. I have a machete. Oh, my gosh. It’s hysterical. And they I mean, literally everybody, everybody, everybody. Someone said, I got a smaller one when I moved to the villages. There you go. It’s a villager. I’m saying. Someone said, yes, I have one and I need to get a new one. I mean, they are everywhere. And then they talk about what they use them for. Well, we use them to cut weeds. We use them to hack down weeds. What do you chop a dead banana tree with? How do you kill a water moccasin? I don’t get close enough to a water moccasin to hack it to death with a machete, though. That is… That’s a new level of Florida badass right there. You people are just like America’s Australians. God love you. But yeah, I was cracking up at the comments on this. Whether it was on Insta or Facebook or X. And then some of you were emailing where you get your machetes from in Florida. Apparently there’s like some place. I just thought, you know, get a machete. No, no, no. Some are better than others and some stores are better than others. They’re very particular, Cain, about the machetes. I did not realize that was such a thing. Hundreds of comments on this. And everyone’s like, oh, yeah, we have them. Stay with us. We have third hour on the way.

Does the COVID vaccine prevent transmission?

The COVID vaccine can reduce viral load in individuals who are… Does it prevent transmission? When you have reduced viral load, you will have reduced transmission.
SPEAKER 08 :
But in other words, it doesn’t prevent transmission. You can still transmit the virus if you’ve had the vaccine. In fact, there’s been reduced ability to interfere with transmission over time. And what we’ve found is the most recent one since Omicron is down around 16% reduction if there is a reduction.
SPEAKER 33 :
Wow. This was from the hearing that took place with the former director of the CDC, Susan Monorez. And it was so satisfying to hear them finally confirm that because they’ve alluded to that in so many different interviews in the years prior. Oh, yes, it didn’t actually happen. prevent the transmission of the virus. We’re still finding out just how deep this betrayal goes. Joining us right now on video is the great Senator Rand Paul from the wonderful state of Kentucky. It’s good to see you, Senator. Thanks for having me. Of course. I was not surprised by her answer. However, it was the smugness with which she delivered it, as though that was just enough and that should satisfy the scientific requirements of being able to say that it reduces transmission.
SPEAKER 08 :
Yeah, her next response was even worse, delivered with this smarmy smile. And I said, does the vaccine reduce hospitalization for children? And her response was, it can. That’s not even a response. It either does or doesn’t. We’ve done the studies. And what we found is that so few children were going to the hospital that they couldn’t find anything that reduced hospitalization because hospitalization was already close to zero. It’s the same with deaths, but even harder. There were so few deaths under 18. Most of those kids were seriously sick with other diseases. They could not prove that the vaccine lowered the death rate because the death rate was already 0.0002%. It was so tiny they couldn’t prove anything reduced it. But when she says, oh, it can reduce the death rate, she’s being dishonest. And she knew she was being dishonest in the moment. But it gets to the whole point of why Secretary Kennedy asked her to fire people. He asked her to fire people that were resisting looking at the evidence for whether your child needs a COVID vaccine at six months. This wasn’t a debate over whether all vaccines are good or all vaccines are bad. It was about specific recommendations for the COVID vaccine and also for the hepatitis B vaccine. That was the other question I asked her. Is there a medical reason to give a newborn a hepatitis B vaccine if the mom doesn’t have hepatitis? The answer is no. Unequivocally, no, there is no reason. The reason they give your kid a hep B vaccine in the hospital is they’ve got a hold of you and they think they can get you more easily to submit because you’ve gone through the emotions of childbirth. You like your doctor, your doctors help you with the delivery and you’re like, oh, whatever, whatever doctor and you do it. It’s about submission and it’s about compliance, but it’s never been about science.
SPEAKER 33 :
And that’s absolutely terrifying because we saw how not having those answers. I mean, we had this worldwide pandemic and the whole globe went crazy and it irrevocably changed everything all these years since. We’re talking with Senator Rand Paul, who was grilling the former CDC director. What was the most shocking thing to you? Because I overall and I was watching what I could on C-SPAN and I was watching certain clips. But I the big question that I kept walking away with was now that we have this clarification and we have this insight, how is that going to change the next pandemic or the next big thing?
SPEAKER 08 :
Well, I don’t think we’re really penetrating the consciousness of the Democrat side. The Democrat side came forward as if they were at a religious revival for vaccines. And they said, do you believe? I believe. They all believe in vaccines. And it’s like, well, that’s not a scientific discussion. Let’s discuss what are the risks and benefits. See, this is the thing with the COVID vaccine. for children that can’t prove a reduction in hospitalization or death because it was so infrequent as to be almost zero but then there is another half to that are there any risks to the vaccine now i admit and i’m not trying to promote that the risks are enormous but the risks are about between six and eight out of ten thousand get a significant inflammation of the heart which can lead to profound medical problems. You present the emergency room with chest pain and elevated cardiac enzymes like a heart attack. It’s not a heart attack, but you actually present as a child like a heart attack. That happens six to eight times out of 10,000. So you have to compare that to how many, what is your chance of your child going to the hospital? It’s way less than that. It may be one in a million. It might be zero. of going to the hospital or dying, particularly of dying because death was very rare when the virus was very strong in 2020, 2021. Since then, the virus has mutated to be less strong and our immunity has increased as we’ve gotten COVID several times. So right now, We really should be restudying all these. It shouldn’t be, oh, the COVID vaccine was good in 2020. It has to be restudied now because people have had a couple of vaccines, have had COVID a couple of times, and the virus is less virulent. It’s less deadly. So you would have to ask the same question now. If you’re elderly, does it reduce hospitalization or death now? not whether it did it in 2020. That’s why all vaccines need to be continuously examined for their efficacy. But the other side, once you just believe in it, believe in it, but it also increases profits for big corporations, the pharmaceutical companies. Someone needs to be acknowledging that this is not, you know, they’re not giving this stuff away. They receive billions of dollars and it’s promoted by the government. putting it in the childhood vaccine schedule, which then you can’t go to school. So it’s essentially becomes mandatory and pharmaceutical companies get rich. We should ask, does it really work? Does it work still this year before we enrich the pharmaceutical companies?
SPEAKER 33 :
That’s the million dollar question. And I loved your line of questioning, by the way, during this hearing. We’re talking with Senator Rand Paul. You also tweeted, Senator, that you and this was yesterday, you introduced the only real plan to balance the budget. Five months ago, you said they claimed spending would be six trillion. Now it’s already blown past six point six trillion. Republicans are charging ahead with a new spending bill. And we were telling everybody our funding bill the last time that this happened. We’re going to be dealing with this again in fall and then we’ll be dealing with it again after Christmas. Talk to us a little bit about this, because I mean, I thought we were supposed to be reducing government spending and draining the swamp. And are we being completely honest about what we’re doing here with that?
SPEAKER 08 :
There’s probably nothing worse in politics than hypocrisy. During the election, the last presidential election, we heard about Biden inflation, Bidenomics and Biden deficit spending. They were all true. In December of last year, when the Democrats were still in charge, all the Republicans voted no. They said we’re against the Biden spending levels. So three months later in March, Republicans are in charge of the legislature and the White House. The spending levels were kept the same. What does that mean? That means Republicans were reaffirming and voting for Biden spending levels. They’re voting for Bidenomics. They’re voting for Bidenflation. We’re now six months later. It’s at the end of the fiscal year, and they’re saying, well, the best we can do is just continue the same spending levels. Well, what spending levels are those? The Biden spending levels. And what do they lead to? A $2 trillion deficit this year, which ends in about a week. They’ll add up all the numbers, how much came in, how much went out, and the deficit will be about $2 trillion. Well, if you continue at this rate, what are the projections for next year? $2.1 trillion. This is the frustrating thing and people at home are pulling their hair out saying, what is the difference? Republicans talk a good game and then they get in power and the deficits continue unabated. So someone has to say it like it is and declare it. The emperor has no clothes. The deficit and the debt is now owned by Republicans and they’re equally as complicit as the Democrats. we have to do something better but we’re losing even the remnant of the conservatives we once had who would vote against spending bills they’re all lining up patting each other in the back and they’re all going to vote for the same spending levels they all condemned when they were under biden completely and we’re going to have to deal with this going into a 2028 election when a lot of those tax cuts expire and then there’s going to be it’s going to be harder for republicans to push back against democrats claims that they have to increase taxes in order to pay off what republicans didn’t want to cut in spending now and wait the way i’ve looked at it all along is the best way to balance your budget is to cut a little bit of everything don’t just pick out the program that the liberals like don’t just pick out the program that conservatives like just go across the board and do a little bit of everything and i’ve tried this message out many times on people who come to me and they want something from government and the example i use a lot of times is uh the families for alzheimer’s research We have Alzheimer’s in my family, my wife’s family, almost every family you know has some of it. And they want research money. And I look at them and I say, well, we’re $2 trillion short, but we’re a rich country. We can afford some Alzheimer’s research. You got $100 million last year. Could you guys get $94 million? And to a person… These people are emotionally in charge. They looked at this and they say, well, of course we could. If it’s good for the country, we could have a little bit less research money than we had last year. If you just told everybody that, I think people actually would go along with it.
SPEAKER 33 :
That’s a great response that I haven’t heard it put that way. And that makes all the sense in the world. It really does. Senator Rand Paul, I so appreciate your fight. I appreciate your transparency in all of this. We’d love to have you back as well as the spending as the funding bill progresses, because you seem to be kind of a lone voice in the wilderness on this at times. It’s good to see you. God bless you. I need I need it to not just stop it right now. Fate or whatever. She said she’s been dealing with just dealing with some health stuff. But she had to cancel a couple of appearances, according to I think this is Daily Mail. They haven’t heard back from her reps yet, but they will keep them. But she’s not like. You know, she’s just like she’s doing videos and all that the other day. The new South Park episode was supposed to be out last night, but Matt Stern and Trey Parker said that they couldn’t because of a time crunch, which I don’t ever remember that happening. People were like, oh, they’re always procrastinators. I’ve watched South Park since its inception. This has never happened. So I’m hoping that it’s not because they pulled an episode because they were getting ready to mock. So they could or they were getting ready to mock the death of. Yeah. Kirk. Although Kirk liked the satire that they did. He did a video laughing about it and then he used it literally as his avatar on socials. So he thought it was funny. But I’m just wondering why. They’ve never done this. So I’m, you know, we’ll watch out for that one. Let’s see. People are, I don’t know. A Circle K clerk was having a bad day so he killed an off-duty officer buying a hot dog. Wow. The Circle K clerk, Eduardo Machado, confessed to shooting and killing off-duty Edgewater police officer David Jewell just Monday of this week. Machado said he was having a bad day. Oh, man. That’s all? You were having a bad day? Guess whose day got worse? The off-duty officer that you killed. He said that Machado, who’s 24, told police he had previously seen 45-year-old Jewel in the store with a firearm, and he was afraid of him. He didn’t state if he knew that Jewel was a well-known police officer or not, but authorities said that family members confirmed that Machado was diagnosed with a mental health disorder in the past. and he had indicated that he was hearing voices. So there you go. Just awful. Just awfulness. But, yeah, he killed. He apparently got, when he got his firearm illegally, apparently he did that with the sole purpose in mind of killing Jewel, according to investigators. Let’s see. AT&T’s new tool uses AI to screen calls and block spammers, so that means they’re listening to you. You might think, oh, that’s great that they do that. That means they’re listening to you. all the time without you ever knowing. Imagine everything that you say recorded and used in a database, put in a database somewhere simply because your phone was by you and overheard you. Why are you saying that, O4?

Oh, pretty much everything I say privately is publicly. The only thing is the editing of certain phrases to not get us in trouble with the FCC. That’s it. You know, because they’re just apparently such big fascists, according to the left. Let’s see. What is this article? They’re saying age isn’t everything when deciding if a child is ready to be home alone. Well, it’s actually a big part of it. And a number of states, it’s actually a law. I think in Missouri, you have to be 12 years and up. I don’t know what it is in Texas, but now there’s a handful of states that have set age minimums. So in Maryland, it’s a crime to leave a child alone. younger than eight years alone unattended? Well, yeah, duh. But I can’t believe people have to be told, consider maturity and age. So I thought she’s hysterical. Her timing is like very Joan Rivers-esque. I’m like, I’ve never seen that in anybody who’s, you know, she’s a comedian, a commentator. I haven’t seen that in any other female. That’s like really something. And her stuff was just hysterical. And then she’s since grown. She speaks all over the country. She does all of this amazing stuff. She’s, you know, got started with Charlie Kirk and TPUSA. And now she has Culture Apothecary as well. You can follow her on X on Facebook, Instagram. And we’ve just been lifting you up because it’s not easy being young and being in the public and having to navigate this stuff all at the same time. And you’ve been doing it gracefully. Thank you, Dana. It means so much. And I just absolutely love you and Chris and Kane. And, you know, I’m the longest fan of yours. When I first got hired at Turning Point USA, Charlie and Tyler Boyer, our COO at the time, asked me, they said, Alex, who are the women that you look up to in the movement? And you were the first name that I said. So it’s just surreal to be on your show right now talking about what we’re talking about. Exactly.
SPEAKER 33 :
And I saw the notice just earlier today, actually right when we got started, that the board over at TPUSA, they voted Erica Kirk as the new CEO and chair of the board. And they said that that’s what Charlie had intended. I have only met her briefly a couple of times. I met her the longest actually just this last time in Dallas when I saw you. And her and Charlie came out at the Young Women’s Leadership Summit and they spoke. And she was just so sweet and so friendly. But what I really liked about her – in addition to her joyfulness, was she was very assured of herself and confident in what she believed in and her faith. And that when you’re married to somebody like Charlie, to be able to go out and share that presence is a tough thing. So when I saw that this announcement came, it didn’t surprise me at all. You know her, though. You kind of grew up with them. What do you think about all of it?
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, well, there is just there couldn’t be a better choice than Erica. And, you know, she didn’t want this. She didn’t plan for this. This was never her goal to be CEO of Turning Point USA. Right. That was always supposed to be Charlie. She loves being a stay at home mom. She loves her two children. You know, they even kept their pregnancies a secret so that she could just really, really soak up that time. And I really feel like looking back, that was totally intentional that they did everything that way. God knew that that was going to be the right thing for them to just enjoy each other in those moments with the small amount of time that she was going to have with Charlie. And now she’s ready to step in the role because it makes sense that the only person that could possibly take over and run this place in the best honor to Charlie Kirk would be his wife who knew him better than anybody else, you know, knew his intentions, knew his ultimate goals, his secrets. And so I can’t wait to see what she does. I know that being a mother matters more to her than anything else, though. So I don’t anticipate that she’s going to be in the office every single day, you know, one on one with employees. I think it’s probably going to be like more like bigger picture meetings and things like that. And then we have tons of directors, other C-level employees and managers that will probably do the more day-to-day stuff.
SPEAKER 33 :
Yeah, that makes total sense. And because they were very family first, you got to see their whole courtship and everything from the beginning. And I was watching a video, well, I heard them talking about it at the event as well. I love the dynamic that they have. And I feel like younger generations are starting to go back and recognize the importance of having that helpmate and the importance of strong families and the stuff that you talk about as well on your show, Culture Apothecary. And you and TPUSA and everybody, I think, get a lot of credit for fomenting that. And there weren’t a lot of examples as your generation was growing up because you guys were so young. You’re just graduating college or getting out of high school. And this was kind of like the first big couple for that generation. So everybody knew who they were. Everybody in this movement knew who they were. Talk about the impact that you’ve seen that have, because you see all of these young women and all of these young men all across the country. You travel more than I do. Tell me what you’ve seen.
SPEAKER 06 :
Okay, well, first I want to say something interesting, which is that Turning Point USA actually has more female directors in our departments than male. So you have a lot of high-level women working at Turning Point USA, a conservative company. And when Charlie met Erica, I mean, obviously… believing in family and supporting the idea of a nuclear family was always top of mind for Charlie. But until he had his own, I don’t think that he really even grasped that, you know, totally. And once he married Erica and having his own children, I just think that his heart even softened more towards the women in this company. And right before he died, Dana, like a couple of days before his death, it was announced that he was giving the women at Turning Point USA six months paid maternity leave. I don’t even know a progressive company that gives that to their female employees. And Charlie Kirk was going to be doing that for us.
SPEAKER 33 :
Wow. And without the government forcing him to do it because he just wanted to. I mean, that’s what it’s all about. Are you because I know you do a lot of events and you speak a lot. Are you worried now about safety? Are you worried about your well-being when you when you go to do your next event?
SPEAKER 06 :
Oh, yeah. Next time I’m coming to Texas and I’ve got some time to spare, I’m linking up with you and I need you to teach me my whole way around a firearm because, yeah, it was that was one of the first immediate thoughts of mine. And now my new normal is that every single time I speak, I have to have two armed security with me driving me to and from and everywhere I go. And I said, yeah. is this temporary or is this the new normal and i was told it is the new normal and that is because as don jr so perfectly said the bullets are only going one way it’s one way and i don’t know leftist organizations that are having to go through all of these hoops or or you know dealing with this like conservative organizations are and it’s just absolutely terrifying and it’s sad but it just motivates us that that shows how much work really has to be done here
SPEAKER 33 :
That is and that that makes me so angry for you because that should not have to be new normal. It should not have to be the new normal for anyone. I was talking to a friend. I mean, we actually just turned something down because it was outside. And I was talking to another friend, a young woman also who works in the industry. And she was saying that she’s she’s like, well, what what can I do when I go when I have to travel the states that I’m You know, like Illinois, that are gun control states. And the fact that now everyone has to rewire their brains and think about that, it enrages me because I don’t want it to be a chilling effect. Do you from the people that you talk to, do you think that they feel as though their speech will have to be chilled now as a result? What do you mean by chilled?
SPEAKER 06 :
Like they’re like, we just won’t be able to speak. Yeah.
SPEAKER 33 :
Like do you are like your fans and the people who watch everything that you do? Do you get the sense that they’re kind of reacting to this and thinking, wow, I’m not going to be able to speak as loudly as before. Maybe I don’t speak up on this issue or, you know, maybe maybe I wanted to go and be like the next Alex Clark. And now I’m rethinking it. Are you getting that from the folks that you’re interacting with?
SPEAKER 06 :
Hell no, no, the complete opposite. Like Charlie Kirk, every single time, and boy, did I get myself in so much trouble. I mean, not trouble by him, but like controversial things that I would say, you know, my audience would react or the internet would react. And it would be like, you know, he would get so many angry emails like, Charlie Kirk, you need to do something about your employee. She said this, this, or this. And he was always the first person to message me and be like, uh great work keep going keep them talking like he was like whatever you believe he didn’t say necessarily you know i agree or disagree but he’d just be like whatever you think whatever you believe say it like and i know that there’s all this drama about this hamptons trip that he was on right before he died if you’re on x and you live online like dana and i do then you’re familiar with this this stuff and um you know when he was on this hamptons trip discussing israel and all of this I had done a Q&A on my Instagram stories and somebody asked me, like, Alex, how are you feeling about the Middle East? What’s your opinions on all the Israel stuff? And I said, because my personal opinion is I said, I’m so sick of talking about Israel. I said, I do not care. I do not want the I don’t want the United States of America involved in any country, period. So I just am done with all that. I don’t want us involved anywhere. That was what I said. And Charlie sent a message to me and he said, He said, keep up the good work, whatever you believe. I support you. Keep speaking your mind. I mean, and this is in the midst of, you know, he’s allegedly like being threatened to be quiet and all this like. So that just wasn’t the case. And he was he was the great coalition builder. I mean, Charlie Kirk. If you look at any single lineup that he’s had at any of our events from Young Women’s to our Student Action Summit to America Fest, every, you know, gold star event that Turning Point USA has put on for the last six years, you had different types of people within the Republican Party with in the conservative movement, with all sorts of different ideologies, you know, within that realm, like you and all different types of religion. So, yes, you had Jews, you had Protestants, you had Catholics, you had atheists, agnostics. I mean, everybody was represented at our events. And Charlie never spoke poorly about any speaker. It was always about elevating different voices, giving students that were involved in Turning Point USA and attendees to our events, you know, exposure to different ideas so that they could think for themselves. That was always what it was about. It was always to continue people, you know, encourage critical thinking.
SPEAKER 33 :
That’s that’s I mean, I can’t when I first heard the story that you were talking about the Hamptons thing, I thought, well, that I feel like people were sort of underhandedly accused him of being duplicitous, which he never was. He was always exact. From what I’ve known of Charlie, we knew him since. I mean, obviously not every day like you did, but when he first started as a teen. And everything that he was privately, he was publicly. And that’s why that story kind of took me off guard, because that sounded very uncharacteristic of the Charlie Kirk that I knew. I mean, if he felt it, then he would tell it. He’d say it. He wasn’t a guy that would get intimidated.
SPEAKER 06 :
And he was open to hearing new information and definitely changing his mind on different things. I mean, I think you saw that throughout the years on different stances with like immigration, for example, like there’s just like some things like that that I think he did kind of shift or evolve on. He wasn’t against that. But if he did, he would tell you. I mean, he every single speech he ever did, every single podcast he ever did, every every radio show like He shared his views up until the day that he died. He was talking about what he thought about religion and the Middle East and foreign relations. It was never like a big secret where he was like, I’m going to say one thing on air because I’m terrified. And then behind the scenes, I’m saying something else. Now, if he would have had longer to live, Dana, if Charlie Kirk would have been on this earth another 10 years, another 20 years, another 30, 40, he very well could have changed his mind on things like Israel or Protestantism. I don’t know. We’ll never know. But… That was taken from him. And so all we have is what he did share while he was on this earth. And until the day he died, I mean, I believe he was clear about all of his views.

Did you call? ABC, did you call Nextar? Did you call Sinclair? Did you pressure them? He did not, he says. If evidence comes out to show he’s a liar, then that’s when we’ll have that conversation. I’m not like a non-free speech purist. I am a purist. But if so far, all we have are Sinclair demanding that he be suspended. Next star demanding that he be suspended and ABC agreeing with them and suspending him. None of those entities are the FCC. They’re different letters altogether. So I think that everybody needs to slow their roll and stop saying, oh, the right got him canceled. The right. I mean, that’s just like all this stuff that we just saw with them saying about Charlie Kirk’s killer. I mean, at some point, can these people take a beat? Good night. I mean, like I said, if evidence comes out to that point, then there you go. But that’s I mean, I just asked him. You can go find our interview with Brennan Carr.
