Korean War Veteran John Ryff joined the Marines because he was working in the factories in northern New Jersey and did not see much future there. He was just seventeen. We are re-broadcasting an interview with Ryff. He shares his story about one of the three most famous Marine battles, the Chosin Reservoir. Ryff discusses his perspective on political and military leadership at the time. Ultimately bombardment from the USS New Jersey gave him battle cover.
